This is a price gorging restaurant. Do not let the big shop fool you. Probably because they have been gorging tourists for a long time. Bak Kut Teh soup is diluted. More Chinese herbs than the taste of kilos of pork ribs which has the natural sweetness. They do not serve small portions as traditional Bak kut teh breakfast. Instead they give you portions large to justify their price. The after taste is of herbs without the sweetness of pork bone soup. They are not what they used to be. Only the name survives as everything else is a zero. Their smiles light up with Chinese tourists and big cars pull up. Small groups like couples are served with some disdain. Yet my meal cost 120 ringgit for one medium pot Bak but teh, one vegetable, 3 bowls of rice and one pot of tea. I will definitely go for Nasi Lemak breakfast. Will never visit this place ever again.

This eatery has been around for quite a while and is still serving the herbal black BKT. Came for lunch on a weekday and the place was packed with lots of tourist. The pork was nice, but the star is the soup which is refillable for claypot orders. The pig liver was a bit tougher than I like it, and the pig intestine tasted a bit off IMHO. They now have another setup across the road with nicer environment, so check that out when the weather gets too hot.

Visited on a Saturday evening around 7pm. The place was quite packed and popular, so by the time we arrived, some items like the lala were already sold out. Only the original bak kut teh soup was available — but it didn’t disappoint! The pork could’ve been a bit more tender (not quite falling off the bone), but the soup was the real star — rich, flavorful, and best of all, refillable! 😋 We also tried their vegetable dishes, which had great wok hei — you can really taste the smoky stir-fry flavor. Just a heads-up: it’s on the oily side due to added pork lard, which some might love (we did!). They also sell Class C MSW durian at Rm39 per kg. Tried — creamy and sweet, and they promise at least 4 sides in each pack, which is a nice touch. Overall, worth coming back for the soup and try out more dishes. Very yummy claypot herbal pork rib soup. Service was quick and efficient. The meat was tender and fall off the bone easily. Quite crowded during lunch time. Better to come earlier if you're going there for lunch.

Where do you normally bring friends from overseas to eat? I don't know about you but I'll think of Bah Kut Teh because it's proudly Malaysian having originated from the port town of Klang. Lazy to drive that far, I drove my friend who came back from NZ to Ah Sang, a legendary BKT seller in his own right. The shop is located in Sg Way New Village and has a very basic Kopitiam setting. Bearable in the morning but it gets hotter during lunch time. ◾Claypot Bah Kut Teh - the pot was filled with thick, tender meat (of your choice).. taufu pok, enoki mushroom, fu chuk and veggie. The soup has a strong herbal aroma however lacked of the sweetness from the meat. ◾Blanched lettuce with oyster sauce and fried shallots to justify that we had greens to balance the BKT. I have been coming here for the longest time whenever I crave for BKT but loathe driving down to Klang in the past. But now I have newfound favourite in OKR. It's located in an old kampung house with limited roadside parking, but luckily there’s a parking lot a little further ahead. The environment was a bit stuffy, and the place was quite crowded. A portion of Bak Kut Teh costs RM20. Unfortunately, the broth was overly sweet and the herbal taste was overpowering, lacking the balance that makes a good Bak Kut Teh comforting and savory. Ah Sang is a long-established and well-loved spot for traditional Bak Kut Teh in Klang Style. The portion was generous for two of us and we couldnt eat it up. We ordered both the dry and soup versions of Bak Kut Teh, along with some vegetables, fried doughsticks, drinks, and rice. The soup Bak Kut Teh was incredibly rich and flavorful. The meat absorbed the broth wonderfully, making each bite delicious. You can choose the type of meat you want in your soup, such as pork ribs or offal, or just stick to pork belly if you prefer. The broth was so good that we asked for refills, which the staff gladly provided. The dry Bak Kut Teh was equally delicious, served with lady’s fingers. The flavors were outstanding and left us wanting more. Both versions were so good that we ended up eating more rice than usual because they were so appetizing. While the food was excellent, the environment was more like a typical street-side eatery, which might not appeal to everyone. However, the delicious food more than made up for it. The service was decent, but parking can be quite challenging as there are limited spots and the place is very popular. If you’re craving Bak Kut Teh, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

The 油饭 is really good — fragrant, not overly oily, and pairs well with everything else. There's a few bkt shops around and parkings are just 10 steps away. The food was good, but the rice was on the tough side. They are not stingy on the condiments too.

The restaurant looks quite newly renovated. You can enjoy the piping hot bakuteh comfortably. The highlight for me was the stir-fried eggplant dish. The bakuteh was decent, with a clearer soup style similar to the shop next door. The meat was not very tender, so overall it was nothing special. The braised pork belly was just okay, a bit too fatty and lacking flavour. They do not serve the typical dry bakuteh here. Service was quick and the soup was refilled without asking. Parking is a nightmare, especially during peak lunch hours, and it is almost impossible to get a spot in the front row.

Our first time here. The reviews seem to talk about the Queuing and have to wait. Luckily, we got the table without queuing. :) After 15 mins seating, the restaurant was full immediately. Wowww.. For BKT - the broth is clear but full of herbal taste, a little sweet but when you eat with the soya sauce with fresh chili and fresh minced garlic, the taste gets developed and I’m okay with that. One good thing that we love is that the soup is free to refill, we asked once and after that the staff just came and poured the soup without asking. :) Love the small gesture of an attention. Visited with high expectation considering the Michelin mention and we were quite shocked by the meat parts in the bak kut teh as we are used to having only the meaty ribs in Singapre. BKT was not only underwhleming and it took forever to get a soup refill - i had to walk to the counter to request for the 3rd time. But the highlight of the meal was the egg with bitter gourd and eggplants. Quite tasty! While we loved the air-conditioned environment, i dont think it’s worth a visit for someone who has tasted a really good one in Singapore!

I visited Ah Hei Bak Kut Teh and ordered the pork loin only, with enoki mushrooms and fried beancurd roll, plus a side of choy sum with garlic. The meat was very tender and flavorful, and the broth had a rich, savory taste that made the whole dish satisfying. I really appreciated that they offered the option to skip organs or other pork cuts — I likely wouldn’t have eaten here otherwise, so that flexibility was great. I went there first time due to you know Michelin status, wanna try if it really are Michelin status bkt. I’ll give an honest review bcoz I’m a big fan of bakuteh, first I kinda disappointed with the taste that the bkt broth taste kinda sweet and sadly to say I don’t taste any herbal at all. But maybe some of you guys that love sweet taste bakuteh can come here, as for me I love more strong herbal bakuteh instead. I also order the braised meat I think it was not bad, taste okay but it not like crazy delicious about. So yea that about it.

Attentive staff with great tasting food. Tried the dry and wet version with balachan kang kong. Dry was a little too dry (too little sauce) but meat were tender! Soup version is my personal fave here. Herbal with a sweet aftertaste, super tender meat and generous serving of ingredients (button mushrooms, enoki etc). Balachan kangkong was good, kangkong were young not too old, nice taste with wok hei. Definitely will return to YuYi when im in KL next!

Ordered - Dry BKT - Soup BKT - Egg Plant with Minced Meat Dry Bkt was good apart from some inconsistency in the meat as some is hard and some is soft, same for soup BKT. Both is good in terms of flavouring. Eggplant with minced meat was also good and soft.

We came here as we were craving BKT and happened to be at TRX. Found this on google map and decided to give it a go as the ratings were quite high. We ordered a bowl of soup as well as dry BKT. Both were disappointing as they used overnight pork meat so there was a rather unpleasant pork stench. To add insult to injury, the bill came to more that RM70 for 2 small bowls of BKT and 2 plates of rice. Will not come back. I can see why the place was empty.

Introduction from my good friend, there is a BKT restaurant. Service here is nice, speak Chinese and easy to oder what you want to eat with pictures showed. Better to dine inside with air-conditioned at lunch time. It's hot if you eat outside the restaurant. About the food, wet BKT is good, others are average delicious, it is ok with my challenging tongue. Drink tea with ice cube, you gotta pay 2RM for ice. It is special. I took my friends there when they came to visit us. None of the staff can speak English. Luckily my friend can speak a little Chinese. We ordered a portion of 3 for 4 of us from whatever they had left, which were pork and stomach, as it was quite late and they were about to close. The soup itself was rather sweet. When we checked, only the price of Bak Kut Teh pot itself costed RM70. I wasn’t sure if we got scammed, but it was indeed very pricey compared to my past experience. The bill was in Chinese, only the big rices and bean curds were in English. We’re definitely not going back there or taking any friends there again, even when the place is nearby.

Should be 3.5. Bah Kut Teh is mixed parts of the pig, soup a bit bitter due to the herbs. Dry Bah Kut Teh is good. Pig stomach soup is ok, more peppery better. The braised pork leg is a bit bland. It’s the only restaurants I’ve visited these few days that are cooked by the owner, not foreign workers. 👍🏼 Overall still ok but a bit lackluster compared to Singapore version.

Nothing special really- the BKT soup was on the sweeter side while the dry BKT was packed with cuttlefish strips and garlic. We preferred the dry one so get that! A bit disappointed that the dried one came with only 1 pork rib and the rest of the cuts were the offals. Dry bak kut teh here is very flavorful, with some shredded squid added in. The meat is fresh and smooth. I must come here every time when I want to eat Bak Kut Teh. Delicious😋

the pork chop portion was big! I swapped the fries for vegetables, which was a nice option. The cheesecake was really good too. NON-HALAL. BAJ Cafe serves up a pretty good feed for the price point. This is comfort food that's plated decently and that will fill you up without breaking the bank. Space is cafe-like and air-conditioned, but prices are almost competitive with hawker fare. In fact, you can have a chicken bolognaise or very good fried rice for under RM10. Menu is western-style dishes with some local favourites. The cafe is on one of the main streets of student town, Setapak, so it's almost always packed with students. The young and lively crowd keeps the place buzzing daily. It's a very good default for a wallet-friendly family meal too, if you are in the area. The fried chicken chop is one of our favourites, as is the fried rice. The rice was an unexpectedly outstanding dish with excellent 'wok hei' - for only around RM9, it's a steal! Portions are very good. We come often and food quality is consistent. They've been around for years and deserve the support. It can get very busy so avoid peak lunch and dinner hours and weekends, if possible.

Seems to have many diners each time we pass by. Out of curiosity, we decided to give it a try. Taiwan minced pork rice was not half as good as the many places we have tried. Their salted egg fried chicken chop took almost half an hour to be served. And it was a disaster. The fried batter was rock-hard while the chicken chop itself was not even hot. They probably did a rush job with a piece of frozen chicken and fried it for too long. The supposedly salted egg sauce provided doesn't taste like salted egg yoke at all. Your money will be better spent elsewhere. Not recommended.

As a bah kuh teh fan & as someone who’s very familiar & tried many of the best bah kuh teh in Klang, they are neither close nor are they that bad to the point that makes them worst in KL. So I would say that bah kuh teh is slightly above average if you were to compare with bah kuh teh in KL but is definitely miles apart if you were to compare with some of the best in Klang. On top of that, the portion has also been reduced over the years even though the price has gone up, so it was a little sad to be honest. That’s as far as the food goes. Over the years, their business has drop significantly. It used to be very popular and extremely pack back in the day until you have to line up & queue in order to get a table but nowadays it’s pretty easy to find a table in spite of peak/busy hours. However, that didn’t affect service quality. Their staff were friendly and service is pretty quick as well. They even provided us extra chairs for my group of friends to put our bags when we gotten our table. I personally thought it was very nice of them to do so, they take care of their customers well. But at the end of the day, as good as their service & environment were, for a bah kuh teh stall I still need to rate it according to how good their food is because that’s what I came here for. Since most of their food are just slightly above average, I could only give a 3/5 rating at best. Would I recommend my friends & family to give this place a try? Sure, why not. But I wouldn’t tell them that this is the best place for bah kuh teh because it is most certainly not.

Overated. BKT taste is mediocre. Soup is just black soya sauce soup, lack taste of anything except a tinge of the sweet side. Inerds served not properly cut and some still in big pcs and cooked too soft to bites. I guess that's why boss don't bother to cut properly. Service below par. We came to this restaurant after get recommended by a friend. The claypot bakuteh soup is so delicious, however I think the meat is kinda small portion, so it feels like there’s more beancurd than the meat, their dry bakuteh is good as well, and service is very fast. Overall satisfying 👍🏻

In my personal opinion, this is the best bak kut teh in Subang Jaya. Unlike those in Klang, this one is more the lighter side but more herbal and flavoured. The dried Bak kut teh is nice as well. The innards are well cleaned and doesn't have a funny taste compare to others. This place also always have yau char kwai ready. Generous portions as well and servers were very attentive when your soup starts getting low and will fill up without you asking. The place is clean as well. Reasonable pricing, price for 2 can go up to RM70++ but the meat portions is a lot.

My preferred place in ss14 for bkt. However they do not yearn for business. Regularly close without any notice. Disappointing

I would say it is a decent place for bakuteh. The soup in a small bowl makes me quench for more soup. Meats is tender and soft. Service is fast. Unlike others,after drinking this soup,I don't feel thirsty

Been coming here for decades and it’s just consistently fantastic. A bit heavier on the herby flavours which I really like, but well balanced by meaty/porky flavours. Slightly too salty but otherwise perfect.

This was my first time trying out Heng Kee Bak Kut Teh. This came recommended as it has been operating here for years. By PJ/ KL style bak kut teh, this is a pretty decent place eventhough my personal preference is always for something stronger in herbal flavours. Notable highlights and tips: - Patrons can choose to sit indoors or outdoors. Between the two, outdoors felt a tad bit cooler and they have fans. - They have sinks that you could wash your hands. - The hot water refill for tea is self service and located near the entrance - Staff will take your order and deliver to the table too. Staff are pretty good in guiding and made sure we didn't over order. - They do serve an extra portion of soup with the bak kut teh order. - Raw garlic and fresh chilli available at each table. Light soya sauce also provided. - The braised mushroom was tasty and tender. The mushrooms used were very meaty in texture and braised through very well. The sauce is not the same taste as the bak kut teh soup, which makes it a different dish altogether on its own. - The fried fritters and tau fu bok is a nice addition to the bak kut teh. - The meat for the bak kut teh was tender and I would recommend the pork shoulders as it is a nicer cut. Somehow tastier, more tender and like a finer texture. - Payment can be by cash, card or e-payment. They collect the payment at the table. - I liked that i could choose the type of tea preferred from the few options they had. The slight drawbacks for me: - They charge extra for every bowl of soup. Though, it is still nominal in amount. - The place can get really hot as there is no air conditioning. - Lots of flies around when we were having our meal. So had to be vigilant that they do not land on our food. Overall, for those who like KL/ PJ style bak kut teh, this is a good place to go for it.

I loved this place! I was visiting a friend who’s local, and she brought me here for dinner — such a great choice. We arrived around 8 pm and even though it was busy, we didn’t have to wait at all and got a seat straight away. We ordered a mix of pork belly, ribs, mushrooms, and trotters with rice, plus fritters to soak up the rich herbal broth. The soup was deep, peppery, and full of umami. Everything came out fast and piping hot. The vibe is relaxed and lively, and it’s clear this is a proper local favourite. Prices were very reasonable too. I’d definitely come back the next time I’m in town!

HK bkt broth has a mild herbal note but is rich in umami flavour. The pork is cooked till tender and oozes meat juice when you bite into it. There are several choices of parts but each one is served in a bowl, not in the traditional claypot style. There are cuts of pork belly, ribs, stomach + intestine, shoulder, trotters and tail. Side orders include braised mushroom which they said is popular, fritters, enoki and vegetables. Once you are settled at your table, their staff will come and take your order. Simply indicate on the menu which one you want and how many portions. Food arrives quickly.

Heng Kee Bak Kut Teh is the only Bak Kut Teh place that meets the standard of a good traditional herbal pork broth. The service was prompt and cleanliness-wise acceptable. The herbal soup was tasty and appetizing but slightly on the sweet side. The pork served was meaty & juicy. The average price per pax will be around RM25. The restaurant opens at 4.30pm and highly recommend to be there before 7pm to avoid the queue. Parking can be a problem too after 7pm on the weekends.

Best BKT in PJ. Teochew style BKT, soupy and less of stew-like compared to Klang BkT. Miles better than the rubbish Michelin rated BkT in Kepong.

Me and my family had eaten this Bak Kut Teh for more than 15 years. Their Bak Kut Teh is one of the few that have authentic taste with the Chinese Herbal. The soup is tasty and full with ingredients such as Bak Choi, pork ribs and many more. I love their curry chicken, especially if you mix the curry with rice, it tastes very good and I can eat three bowls of rice. Several things that need to be considered are the shop were constantly bombarded with customers and need to take some time for the seat. Another thing is due to multiple cafes and restaurants nearby, you always find it hard to get a parking spot.

Foods are Delicious and Price also acceptable, friendy service, clean dinning area with Air-Cond and comfortable.

Soup bahkuteh is generous portion and tasty. Abit heavy on the herb "dong gui". Cqn order single pax minimum Dry bahkuteh is very tasty, abit too salty, but really tasty! Portion consider smaller… min order 2 pax… But the portion don't feel 2x Both soup and dry version ordered Mix parts, but pork belly is missing… price is RM22 per pax… Atmosphere is very chinese, and home like. Service is speedy, but flooring is sticky and toilet is not clean. Btw… ONLY CASH, no cards, no e-payment… and the total Bill is not rounded… really… who want carry coins… and i am eating in KL center…

Everything is better than average but might not be the best. They have vegetarian bakuteh! Quite a decent place for dinner. The food variety and price is quite ok, the taste, and service are good. Having dinner many times before, tried quite aot their food. Still feel like it is quite a good place for dinner. Sometimes u don't know what to eat but want to have some soup and vinegar pork. Quite a good choice with the options and price.

Their bak kut teh is highly recommended. We make sure to eat that whenever we dine in here. The steamed fish in ginger wasn't really that tasty. You need to add some garlic + soy sauce to make it better. I have tried their curry chicken before and it was tasty. That is also recommended. Parking is along the roadside. Atmosphere is nothing special, the usual restaurant vibe, but eating outside is preferable so you get to see the streets. Service is ok. They are accommodating and fast. I'm giving this 4 stars for the bak kut teh.

I have experienced of taking chi kut teh here. By far the best which i ever had I chicken version.. came few time just for this! And will come again…

Chinese Bak Kut Teh Restaurant. Have an indoor air-conditioning dinning place. Soup base tastes more on herb taste (not too strong herb, but can taste the herb) and slightly salty (is an acceptable type). Ordered mixed ingredients for Bak Kut Teh Soup, Dried Bak Kut Teh tasted nice too. Also try out the Yellow wine Pork kidney, taste sweet on the wine, and the kidneys slice well cooked (not over cooked). Yam rice tastes good,can taste the yam cube during your bite. Staff are friendly. The restaurant accepted you bring the pet (dog 🐶 ) with seated outdoor area. (Personally saw 2 or 3 tables with their dog at the outdoor seated dine in area) If you prefer the herb base Bak Kut Teh Soup, you may try out from this restaurant. (Opened at 7.30 morning)

One of the many BKT shops in Kepong. Ordered a dry, soup and a braised BKT which not many places have this in their menu. My preference is the dry version among all 3. The soup base is kinda sweet in my opinion and the braised is just like normal stew pork. Price wise quite reasonable and parking is off the street.

This is different from the Klang-type of bak kut teh; the soup is less heavy on the spices( cassia and star anise) and uses more chinese herbs which i feel is more nourishing. Soup is also not as dark. Prices are reasonable and they also serve the dry type of BKT.

My gf recommended, service was friendly and attentive for sure , but the taste bak kut Teh not my style , I prefer the bak kut Teh at Klang intense and more dark broth , the broth here is lighter version.

The dry bak kut teh is very fragrant, and the yam rice is also tasty. The small portion is too small, so I recommend ordering the large one. The meat is tender, and the herbal soup is on the lighter side.

They have 3 types of BKT (soup, braised and dried). Tried all of them and I absolutely love the soup and dried one. Definitely one of the best I ever had. Really enjoyed my meal here. The herbal bak kut teh has just the right balance, not too strong, not too bland. I also appreciate that the ingredients are fresh, and the portions are generous. Staff were polite and served us quickly, even though it was quite busy during lunch time. Highly recommend if you're a fan of BKT!

The Bak Kut Teh here is absolutely delicious, with an incredibly rich and flavorful taste. The soup is perfectly seasoned, the soy sauce complements the dish wonderfully, and the pork ribs are tender and full of flavor. Once you've tried it, you'll definitely want to come back for more!

We had soft bone BKT and we love the gravy and the meat is not too hard. Portion for vegetables is reasonable and food generally not too salty which I would prefer. I love their red bean soup, it the traditional kind with orange zest.

Very tasty but Expensive and tiny portion. Was expecting soup but it come as a sauce like broth on a small dish plate This place offers a distinct take on this Malaysian favorite. I particularly enjoy their herbal broth, which is wonderfully rich and aromatic without being overpowering. The pork ribs are consistently tender, practically falling off the bone, and they offer a satisfying variety of cuts. While it can get busy, the service is usually efficient. It's a comforting and flavorful meal, especially on a rainy day, delivering a genuinely authentic taste of a classic dish.

I recently dined at this restaurant, but unfortunately, the food was quite mediocre overall. Nothing particularly stood out. The only highlights of the meal were the braised nut and the durian mochi, which were surprisingly well-prepared and enjoyable.

We ordered Chinese hot tea, and when my friend took a sip, a piece of glass came out of the cup. I reported the issue to the staff, but he looked at us as if he couldn’t believe it. Even worse, he laughed at us. I felt extremely embarrassed. Their response was very slow. We are Korean, and if my friend had swallowed that glass, we wouldn’t have been able to handle the situation in Malaysia. All I wanted was an apology — it was very important to me. But they simply changed the cup. So I asked again for an apology. Only then did the staff say, “I’m sorry, and the drink is free.” That was it. Unbelievably rude service.

Soup broth taste nice, herbal and not too salty, cleanliness, location, service all good, many choices of food but no minced meat and liver, but still nice, ladyboss will ask what meat you want every visit, i haven’t been finished a whole bowl of rice since the last four months, thanks to this bowl of bakuteh soup, its good! Bakuteh The dry version is better for me. Cheese one is fun to eat, but it doesn’t elevate the food. I love how they cut the pork knuckle, is like thin slices of roulade, very appetizing. The tail got strong pig scent, the usual one we eat other place not strong scent. They have delicious yam rice, just order that, their oil rice not fragrant so not worth. Pet friendly too! Can bring dogs and sit outside tables.

Very very bad service. Food were all bad. Ordered 1 bak kut Teh soup , all fat meat and the soup is so clear no taste. Ordered dried BKT also all with fat meat. Very very bad. The fish head 招牌蒸 , is TASTELESS. They use like probably kicap campur air? Ordered 蚝油油麦菜，the 蚝油完全看不到。 The lady owner attitude was super bad. We asked where is our foods. She use her super bad attitude and expression and shout at us, Wait; everyone also need to wait. We only expect her to check our order, but she reply in that way. What an attitude. Food not good, price not good, quality poor, attitude BAD! Never come again.

Service is good but parking is hell here but luckily the last few days we were staying in an airbnb behind. Food are not too bad, we got a soup version, a dry version, and Assam tilapia. I like the Assam Tilapia and the dry version. For the soup version, I like the heavier, darker Klang style and find this a bit too light and herbal.

Among the better Bak kut teh shops around the area which serves a warm and hearty meat broth accompanied fried dough cakes (yar chau kuey) and greens. As many BKT soup stock varies, I like the less thick and too strong flavoured type so this one is quite a joy of being moderate yet allowing the flavour to come through, yet not overpowering. The portion of meat given is quite reasonable for the price. Taste: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Parking: 2/5

I feel the soup is like authentic Klang bakuteh. Overall the bakuteh is delicious. I give five stars cause it has pork tendon which is not easily found at other bakuteh stall. Will return to try out other choices of dish. Waiters and waitresses are friendly. Help to refill soup and tea. Update on 24 Nov 2024 Return for bakuteh. But felt quite disappointed, soup bakuteh taste become no so up to standard. The dry bakuteh is quite salty. Overall the taste not as good as used to be. The soup no longer having rich herbal flavour like before is all salty only. The big bone and small bone doesn't have much meat compare to other stall when you order big bone they give you good meat also . Hard to find parking during lunch hour. If you don't mind walking can park far away beyond the petrol station under beside fly over bridge to sunway.

Kindly avoid this restaurant.. There's so many restaurant in these area 🙏 please choose wisely. Please think twice and check Google reviews before entering into this restaurant. We actually got scammed. The owner is very manipulative in making us to choose the expensive item. The pork belly in the bak kut teh got spoiled taste and the soup it's like a very old soup. It's like the soup you kept it for days like that. And the highlight of this restaurant....We requested them to keep our cake in the fridge after cutting and celebrating.Like after paying the bills we went and ask the kakak can I have our cake and she said we all ate and it's all finished. Can you imagine they all ate our cake without even asking us.. i was literally too stunned to speak...we actually took only a little bite posing for pictures. So bad service.. the owner is very rude and never ever had this kind of worst experience in my life. Wouldn't imagine this kind of situation for anyone especially on Mother's Day. Sakit hati doh.

Average level delicious dishes foods. The drunken chicken wine is too sweet. Yam rice isn't fragrant compared to other some restaurants.

A few of my dining companions feed back that the pork smell (foul) is overwhelming, as compared to other places. The soup probably have lots of MSG as all felt thirsty after the meal. The soup herbal taste was light and we prefer a stronger herbal soup. The black vinegar pork trotter didn't have the ginger and black vinegar taste. Was pretty disappointing. One good cut u may want to try is the Ka Wan which was soft and tender.

20dec23: first time visit & try the Bak Kut Teh at SS14/2. Delicious pork ribs soup. Very flavorful. The dry pork 3 layers is delicious. Delicious Green vegetables boil sprickle with onion & deep fry chinese yu cha kuih. Rices for 3 persons. Yam rice is good too. Order a pot of chinese tea to go with the meal.

Visited this place for the first time after trying many other BKT shop in ss14, I must say that I'm very satisfied with the food and service. Place is hygienic and cooling with air conditioning, they provide hot water to sterilize utensils and cutleries, the waiter/boss of the shop spent time suggesting and explaining about the food and parts of pork to order. The workers there have very good service and attended to me when I requested to add soup multiple times. Food wise, soup is delicious and thick. I added soup about 2 to 3 times. Meat portion is very generous as you can see in the photo. Compared to other BKT shop, this has almost or more than double the meat portion of other BKT. Meat is tender and delicious. However, I didn't really like the dry BKT as it has lady's finger in it which made the whole dish slightly slimy, maybe for some people who don't dislike lady's finger would like this dish more than me. The yam rice was a bit plain for me. Not as flavourful, so I will prefer to order white rice next time when I come back. But definitely will come back. Price wise, it's quite reasonable for big portion of meat and with clean and air-conditioned environment. Even cheaper than the other shop I went that has less portion and no aircond. Soup bkt is Rm16.50, Dry is RM17. Yamrice was RM4..

Decent Bak kut teh soup with free soup refill. Meats were well cooked awith natural flavours. The soup was not too herbal or salty. The Braised Pork Leg was fall off the bone tender and flavourful. Not as aromatic and aroma could be enhanced with some spices but overall this was quite good too.

So yummy 🤤 and the soup is full of heavy Chinese medicine flavour. All the dishes are very light fits my appetite. Boss is so friendly, and we can add soup when it's finished, really do love the soup flavour, will definitely visit again.

Got BKT? 🍲 Hidden gem in broad daylight, we knew it’d be good once we saw the menu. Owners were very friendly, helped us with our dinner order, prompt with service, generous with the soup & smiles. It’s a 3rd generation-run 80 year old resto that’s just brimming with nostalgia. Love how they’ve maintained it so well & the food…big on YUM 🤎

Disappointed 😞 ☹️ 😞 ☹️ 😞 ☹️ We had a table at 7.15pm in the non AC area. Food was prompt except when we wanted to add soup, it took awhile. The main issue is the BKT meat. It was literally like leftover meat, overcooked till it's too soft. The pork rib, pig's stomach and intestines - all overcooked. The soup was tasteless, tasted like water has been added. I've eaten here many times and this is the worse

So much has been said about this Michelin-Gourmand place, suffice to say, me adding on to it probably affects little to its great popularity and demand from customers craving for Bak Kut Teh from brunch to supper. 1. For one, service is superbly organized and managed. Sit down, and immediately an attendant is by your side. 2. Despite serving dishes which could well make the place ugly, messy and smelly, the surroundings are jept immaculately clean by a group of dedicated-to-clean personnel. No slips of paper on the floor, food dropped or used tissues are overlooked.,it is immediately picked up/cleaned up. 3. Call for their one-stick-by-stick rib bone. The meat is generously sticking to it and the soup is bot overpowering. 4. Pig stomach and intestines are very clean and do not smell. Overall price is value-for-money though i wished they would include pig liver, kidneys and button mushrooms in their one-pot bak-kut-teh. Sideline dishes i wished they would add is perhaps bitter-gourd fried with eggs and salted vegetables. Otherwise, i would eat it everyday(currently going twice a week)

BKT Soup Mix (No Rice) = RM22.00 SST 6% = RM1.32 The Actual Name of this Restoran is called "Lau Kim Thai" on the Signboard.  This was a Very Big Place that looks like it has been around for many years. Really Crowded as of 5.30pm on a Saturday although I could still find a Seat as a Solo Diner.  Most of the Customers here amusingly seems to be Singaporeans too as I could recognize our Unmistakeable Singapore Accent. What I really liked though as I walked around was a Very Delicious Aroma of Braised Dry BKT.  That said I ordered their Soup Version, not their Dry BKT for this review. The Staffs are Friendly and Polite but one thing though as I sat down, the Staff kept standing there waiting  while I was taking my time to look through and take photos for this Review.  Hahaha although she was Friendly and did not give any 死人脸, it still felt a Tad Stressful and Rushed with her standing there even though I specifically mentioned she can go attend to other Tables first. I do appreciate that there are No Attempts by the Staff to try to Upsell me more Chapalang DLC Ingredients as is the Practice of Most other BKT Eateries.  I even appreciate that she did not give any 死人脸 even when I did not order any Rice or even any Drinks as I observed.  Not Bad. BKT Soup Mix (No Rice) = RM22.00 Due to Text Limit Constraints, I won't go into details describing every Ingredient here. Conclusion and Closing Thoughts At the Price of RM22.00 (S$6.80) for this Basic Set is not say Cheap.  The Soup Broth itself tastes Decently Herbal,  Not Diluted and didn't taste like they scrimp on Ingredients.  If you are ok with a Sweetish Type of Herbal, you will likely have no issues with this. What I also liked are the Different Variety of More Unusual Cuts that are not commonly seen for JB type of BKT.  The Amount of Meat in this Basic Single Set felt Acceptable for the Price. Overall, this was a Decent Dining Experience but I wouldn't call this a Definite Amazing Must Eat if you are here in KL.  Its Decent Tasting but also not something that I would willingly queue hours for even though its Michelin Rated. But if you are in KL and nearby the Northern Kepong Area,  and if there are Little to No Queues, I can still recommend to swing by to give this a try if you are craving for some BKT. First time go KL. Happen to Google about food cuisine see the menu and review from Google are not bad. It really not bad when we travelled all the way from Bukit Bintang to try this. We placed dried BKT, soup BKT and wine chicken soup. Impressive and really nice. Wine chicken soup was really powerful. Must share can't one pax finish it. Soup BKT just nice not so herbal or pepperish. Dried BKT we choosen half lean half fat. It balance it. If I come KL again I surely will have it again. I will recommend it

Soup very tasty, can taste the herbs. Ribs meat no tendon so very tender. The lean meat have little fat, nice and juicy. I especially like the shallot rice, not oily. Most waiter/ tress can't speak english.

Food is goood, broth is thick but If can thicker herbal soup base then perfect. Given Michelin for 3 consecutive years, the price is very reasonable. 2 pax RM73 with one BKT soup, one dry BKT and a veg

A Michelin-recommended Bak Kut Teh restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious! The pork ribs in both the soup and stir-fried Bak Kut Teh were incredibly tender and flavorful. The ginger chicken was especially amazing! The chicken pieces were tender and cooked with ginger and rice wine. The pork tripe and salt and pepper soup was one of the best I've ever had. I highly recommend everyone try it. The food was delicious, and surprisingly, I didn't feel thirsty afterward. This suggests that they used relatively little MSG. The restaurant is usually quite busy during peak hours, but their takeout service is very efficient. Parking is very limited nearby, so I recommend parking in the parking spaces further away in front of the shop. I will definitely visit again.

I would honestly give 6 stars if I could. Where do I start... this restoran has won Michellin Bib Gourmand for 3 years straight, 2023 2024 2025. It is not hard to see why. The bah kut teh, which obviously is a must order is full of herbal flavours. This is not the usual Singapore style peppery bkt. This is way superior than the sg one (and I am from sg.) The dry bkt was great as well, it has dried shrimp and cuttlefish fried with it and is very fragrant. Consider ordering the pork belly one because the meat is much softer than the lean meat ones. The veges were just boiled lettuce with sauce. The shallot oil rice is also another MUST order! The rice is absolutely fragrant and goes so well with the soup. Service was lightning fast as well. We only had to wait under 10 mins for our food to be cooked and freshly served to us. This is a feat by itself considering how packed this place was. You will see lots of tourists coming here as well. Considering that this is a 3 year straight Michellin Bib Gourmand awarded restoran, the prices are incredibly local priced. What a delicious meal.

Family is a fan of Klang bak kut teh and was satisfied with the meal during our first visit here. The fish was very appetising; happy to find bean with rice here. I found the youtiao too sweet though. Overall, recommended and will return.

Saturday 27 May 2023 - had dinner at 5.30pm. still have parking space. ordered soup bak kut teh for 2 people with stomach, yuen kuat, kawan, mushroom, tofu skin, yau char kuai, 2 white rice, 2 hot chinese tea. Total RM67.50 for 3 people. Yummy food. Soup piping hot, pork meaty soft, yau char kuai crispy. We eat here every quarter of the year. Serving was fast. Saturday 15 June 2025 - yummy dinner. Had yuen kuat and sai kuat with yam rice. Nyums!

Order few dishes to share. I like the dried black pork claypot dish. I don't know what does it called cause they ordered in Cantonese 😅 the bak kut teh was also good, especially with cut youtiao. The chicken dish, I didn't like it. It seems there was a wine taste at there but the chicken has less meat and more bone 🦴 and made it difficult to eat. I think because of kampung chicken.

Recommended by a friend from Klang as a spin off from their branch in Klang for some comfort BKT nearby if you don’t want to drive all the way to Klang. I’m very much a fan of their dry BKT but the soup version is also quite tasty, with the broth having quite a strong herb taste and not having a very strong porky taste as with some BKT stores. A typical coffee shop leaning towards the more traditional style in terms of aesthetics and food flavours. I’ve been visiting this place for years and the uncle has been nothing but courteous and able to recommend dishes when I bring foreign friends and family members here. My go-to place for BKT in Petaling Jaya! Thankfully it’s never too crowded as the crowd ebbs and flows at different times of the day so I’ve never had to queue or wait to eat here, which is a huge plus point for me.

Flavoursome bah kut teh with a hearty serving of meat! Pity they forget the veggie. Service is swift and the shop is large enough, although it gets a bit warm without air-conditioning. Staff are terse and to the point - make sure you speak fluent Cantonese. Toilets are slightly better than I expected, I'll give them that; just slightly, mind you. Pricing is not bad. Not cheap, but RM15 per person for bah kut teh chock full of ham isn't too ridiculous. Didn't get any greens though.

Resign yourself to mediocrity if you cannot go the distance to Klang. The manager's claims of a Klang origin here is certainly unjustifiable with the claypot serving of pork knuckle and entrails. No pork liver or kidney is available. The dark soup is heavy on herbs but not collagen, defeating much of its restorative value as a broth. Dry BKT pork knuckle looked enticing in its black sauce attire with dry chillies but lacked any deliciousness or oomph at first bite. The bowl of onion rice was unimaginative, lacking aroma. Dinner for two will set you back at least RM60, equivalent to a happy hour set of 3 pints of Guinness next door. Comparatively, Bah Kut Teh in Penang is cooked a lot better. Then again, that is an even longer drive than travelling to Klang on a rainy evening.

Ordered lean meat for 2 person portions+ 2 drinks . Cost at RM52.50, price is at higher side to me. Food taste was ok for me, service from owner is good, Willing to add soup for when he saw I finished .

Has been moved to Taman Sri Bintang from Jln Ipoh for about a month. Only soup and braised version available. Not bad especially the braised version. Price is a bit on the high side but worth it.

So I visited on. Monday afternoon around 12pm, not many guests inside which was perfect for me. Had the Roti Valentine, it was packed with flavours! My wife had the veg version with potato, not really sure about the name xOxO

When we came here, we were a bit holding back when ordering. After trying the first dish, we decided to order more. As you can guess, it was delicious! Good food and not expensive at all! Restaurant Staff is also very friendly. Wishing them all the best, thank you.

Great tasty food at a ridiculously cheap price (by Australian standards). The Roti Canai was perfect and the accompanying sauces were a good mixture of mild to hot spice levels. Staff very friendly and helped explained the menu. The restaurant is very basic with plastic chairs and tables so if you are looking a 3-star Michelin then look elsewhere.

We ate the roti valentine. The serving was large for us. I think sharing is better. Half way through it made us feel "jelak". The sardin was overwhelming in smell and taste plus on top of it it was served warm not hot like in just out of the frying pan. Teh halia was room temperature when we ordered teh Halia panas

The roti was good and can give it a try. Their Valentine Roti was not to my liking. Perhaps I came with too high hopes.Nasi lemak panas 'biasa' was good and worth trying.Sambal was spicy enough compared to other nasi lemak I have tasted around KL. I did try their spicy Maggi goreng was also nice but a little too oily and salty for my liking. The waiters were friendly and nice. Parking would be an issue if the place is packed as there are not too many parking since the shop is located in close proximity with the main road.

Have been coming to Ban Lee for over 16 years. The bak kut teh here is consistently good, both soup and dry versions are tasty and not too salty. Not the best in town but definitely above average. Parking can be tough, might kena saman if you park at the road side, better use the carpark behind.

The BKT here is the Teochew style with strong herbal taste. In the Claypot with vegetables, mushrooms and tofu skins, the herbal taste is less pronounced and more balanced. This is Recommended. The Braised Pork Leg had a nice taste but need a little more cooking. This was lunch time, so the pork leg would be just nice for dinner. The Yau Cha Kue was fresh and crispy. Best to dunk in the BKT soup.

Found the pork rather dry and tough. Soup was tasty, although I was hoping for more varied ingredients compared to some that I've tried in JB. Quite limited drink options. Ambience was good, generally a clean place.

I flew from Tokyo to Kuala Lumpur, and for my first meal after landing, my friend took me to this Bak Kut Teh restaurant. I had spent quite a long time in Singapore, but I was never really a fan of the Teochew-style peppery soup Bak Kut Teh. My favorite is still the Malaysian Hokkien-style herbal soup Bak Kut Teh. Personally, I think the pork stomach in Bak Kut Teh is the best part！！

Heard about this Ban Lee bakuteh for quite sometime. Today nearby this area, decided to give it a try. The Bakuteh is dark color soup, but not thick, the meat is overcook, so dark and dry. They serve with white rice, I always prefer bakuteh to serve with oil rice. The Yoo Tiaw is over fried until some of it become black. Overall the bakuteh is average, parking is very limited by roadside.

Old school Bak Kut Teh restaurant, parking surrounding the buildings or there is a paid parking lot spaces behind the building as well (if not mistaken should be RM6) Not a fans of BKT but the broth here is well balanced in flavor (sweet, salt and herbal), my favourite would be the fried youtiao which is fresh and crunchy and pairs well with the broth as usual xD Feel free to give it a try ;)

Beautiful place. There's an upstairs and downstairs- downstairs is more suitable if you're coming with people with mobility issues, but the decor and view is much nicer upstairs. The restaurant isn't huge and number of tables are limited so I'd recommend you make a reservation before going. Food is good. I wouldn't say it's the best Malay food I've ever had but it's definitely tasty. Special shoutout to the kerabu. The drinks are definitely on the sweeter side. Parking is RM15, roadside, and pretty limited. Good place to come for celebrations/ to bring guests, but would this be my first choice for a regular old weekend family lunch? Probably not.

Best lava cake ever! The fish is extraordinary. The chicken is juicy despite its being roasted and fried.(Which is a bigggg ❤️) The food is superb. Not over-flavored and tasty. The food were awesome . We had duck masaman, barramundi pais , Nasi kerabu , ayam pandan and serawa pisang . I can say the fish wash finger licking good, I can taste each single herbs and spice like lemongrass not so spicy and some burnt gravy my very liking. The fish came ina pair with cencalok sambal 😋The duck was so good, I can taste the texture of the meat and not hard at all. The pandan chicken also full of herb and spices but not pedas which was good as we enjoyed it . Serawa was good but if they use pisang raja or pisang Abu it will more satisfying. Staffs there also friendly .i think irama KL is much better than Irama Penang

Not Worth the Hype – Proceed with Caution Despite the flood of glowing reviews, allow me to clarify what many conveniently leave out. This establishment charges RM15 per vehicle for parking—even if you're dining in. There’s no in-house parking, and the available spaces are extremely limited. I made a reservation a week in advancd (which included a fee), and not once was it mentioned that there’s a strict 2-hour dining limit—not in their messages, not on their Instagram. This crucial information was only revealed 8 minutes before our slot. A baffling approach to customer transparency, to say the least. The food? A mixed bag. A few dishes were decent, others bordered on forgettable. At this price point, inconsistency isn’t just disappointing—it’s unacceptable. What truly ruined the evening, however, was the appalling customer service. I asked the floor manager—politely—if the 2-hour limit was still being enforced since one of the dishes I PRE-ORDERED arrived late. His response? A smug, dismissive “Oh, but you came late.” Uncalled for, unprofessional, and frankly, embarrassing for a place positioning itself as premium. We didn’t argue. We left, having barely enjoyed 1.5 hours of this so-called "dining experience”. For a bill that crossed 1K I expected at the very least—basic courtesy. If you’re planning a visit, either lower your expectations or hope for a miracle. Because clearly, consistency and hospitality are optional here.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I would like to give special recognition to one of the staff members, Hassan. From the moment I arrived, he was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and attentive. He took the time to introduce the menu, explained the options clearly, and gave excellent recommendations that made my choice much easier. What impressed me most was how genuinely helpful he was. Always with a warm smile. Hassan even offered to assist with taking pictures and lot of videos since we went there for birthday celebration, which added a personal and thoughtful touch to the experience. His positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond truly stood out. I highly recommend this place not only for the delicious food but also for the outstanding service provided by Hassan. Staff like him make a real difference and absolutely deserve to be recognized. Highly recommend the Chocolate Lava Cake. It’s rich, gooey, and absolutely worth trying

The food was delicious, and the service was great too. I ordered a double-boiled soup that was full of fish maw and crabmeat—very tasty; I liked it so much. The lamb was excellent, with perfect texture, served with rice and soup. The service was also good. The waiter was very responsive.

Came here for few times and the food are consistent. My faves are the lemon chicken, duck, eggplant! Service wise needs to be improved. They mistook our order last time we were there and the food arrived super late. We almost finished some of the food then another food only came in. Atmosphere was okay.

I found another place for halal dim sum recently which is also nearby my office. Perfect for the quintessential business lunch especially when I need to introduce local dishes to my guests from abroad. The restaurant is large, with spacious seatings. It was tastefully decorated. We came during one rainy afternoon and it wasn't overly crowded so we could have a decent conversation. The service was quite good and the food was delicious. The Peking duck was done right and everyone loved it. This is certainly worth a return visit again and again.

Best beef chow fun i have had in a while! Piping hot and good wok he. Peking duck also very nice. Zawawi was very helpful in recommending the dishes, and super friendly. We will return!

Perfect roasted for both duck @ chicken meats Crispy skin, fat juicy, tender meat & marinated well especially roasted duck. Good fried avocado dim sum, good Ming prawn steam roll, tasty sambal. All well done & will come again.

Came here for lunch and ordered their dim sum to try - salted egg bun, siu mai, roast duck rice noodles and deep fried prawn roll. The food arrived quite quickly and staff is quite attentive. Food presentation is nice. I like the siu mai with the bouncy texture and thin skin. The rice noodle is the opposite with a very thick skin, I didn't like it as much, the duck is really flavorful though. The salted egg bun was okay, I prefer salty sauce, but this has a little hint of sweetness. Prawn roll was okay, the wasabi mayo is nice with deep fried crispy skin. Overall dining experience is quite pleasant, but food wise there's definitely other better choices out there.

I stayed at MoMo’s Social Hotel in Chow Kit and had a great experience! I booked the Crashpad City View room, it’s compact but very comfortable and clean, perfect for a short-term stay. The minimalist design gives off Japanese and Scandinavian vibes, which I personally loved. The bathroom has basic amenities like towels, shampoo/ conditioner, body wash and hand soap but do note that a toothbrush and toothpaste aren’t provided so best to bring your own. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the hotel itself has such a fun, youthful atmosphere. I also tried the Taiwanese chicken burger lunch set at MoMo’s Café crispy, flavorful, and great value. Breakfast was complimentary, simple but a nice start to the day. The location is convenient close to public transport and just a short ride away from KLCC and other main attractions. Overall, a stylish and affordable stay for anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur.

Staff were very nice, polite and friendly. The room was clean and beautifully decorated in a Japanese style. It’s a bit small but still very comfortable. There’s also a café in the lobby with really good food and drinks. Overall, a great stay!

I stayed at MoMo’s KL for a short city staycation and had such a great time. The room (Crashpad City View) was compact but really cozy, perfect for solo travelers or friends. The hotel has such a fun, social vibe at night with events and music, and the location is amazing — literally walking distance to the LRT and monorail stations. Also… the food?? So good. I had the burger set and milkshake and would honestly come back just to eat at Big Buns again. If you’re looking for an affordable and vibey spot to stay in KL, I’d definitely recommend MoMo’s!

Had such a great time at MoMo’s Kuala Lumpur! The moment you walk in, the vibe is energetic and welcoming . The Playground is always buzzing with events, music, and pop-ups, so it feels more like a creative social space than just a hotel lobby. My room was compact but really well designed, with a comfy tatami-style bed, smart TV, and all the essentials. Food and drinks were a highlight their Classic Beef Burger and Egg Mayo Toastie were so good, and the all-day happy hour with affordable drinks and free snacks was a big plus. Staff were super friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Perfect for travellers who want a fun, social atmosphere right in the heart of KL. Definitely coming back!

The ultimate Gen Z social hotel in KL, fun, artsy, and super strategic. MoMo’s KL is such a vibe. It’s a social hotel made for young travelers with cool events happening at The Playground like art pop-ups, DJ nights, and creative community hangouts. Totally the kind of place where you meet people, not just sleep. The room’s compact but super clean and thoughtfully designed and I love that they even have a Qibla direction sign! Rare to find that in KL hotels. Location’s also a big win: right near Station, so it’s easy to explore anywhere around the city Overall, it’s a perfect stay if you’re a Muslim traveler or just love stylish, social spaces with good energy. Definitely coming back!

The bed is really comfortable, the shower, faucet and television are functioning properly as usual. I love the sliding solid wooden blinds as a wall. The room is really small, simple and convenient for a 5 nights stay from 7 Aug to 12 Aug 2025. I really enjoy the overall experience of the customer service from the staff. The breakfast buffet from their Sister Hotel The Chow Kit is an excellent, the amount of cooked food options is reasonable (just right) and reasonably priced. The only cable channel that I can watch is Astro Premier League channel (Association Football) (Watching the FA Community Shield Crystal Palace FC vs Liverpool FC 2-2 (Crystal Palace won 3-2 on penalties against Liverpool FC) on the 10th of August 2025 which I enjoyed. I also enjoy the panoramic view of Kuala Lumpur from the Petronas Twin Towers on 080825 which I booked the tickets in advance on the 180425. I enjoyed my own visit to Kuala Lumpur for the 2nd time, I will visit there again and other parts of Malaysia including Ipoh, Penang, Cyberjaya, Putrajaya, Petaling Jaya, Puchong, Cameron Highlands, Negeri Sembilan and the rest of Selangor. My regular noodles shop is closed so came here for lunch. A really Big NO NO shop. Regrettable. Soup looks murky and don't taste fresh. Like old soup dump in and recook the next day and the next day. Soup for stomach is just lukewarm. Food portion served is small portion for the price and taste... eerhh... passable?! The oil rice looks like just white rice without fragrant oil. Mushrooms gravy is totally black. And pork soup taste is funny yucky to my palate. And local lady staff that serve us is rather rude.

I was there around 3PM to buy for my dinner. The colour of soup is not dark as the usual we have, it is like the white grey colour of Ramen soup. It tastes good 👍 For those who is Petai lover, they do offer dry Petai bakuteh also. It is a normal traditional coffee shop alike, but it is quite cosy and not stuffy environment.

Have been here many times. My favorite all time dishes is still traditional soup bah kuat teh. Not much of the dry type. The soup taste strong with pork bone and the broth is very thick (not the herbal type). My 2nd dish is always the vinegar pork leg. If u like vinegar, than u Shud try out. The yau char kueh is muz muz order, wat is bah kuat teh without it. The yau char kueh is crunchy(cut & refired to served)

Bak Kut Teh is one of those dishes where everyone swears by their own “go-to spot” and anything else just doesn’t cut it. I’ve got mine too. But I try to keep an open mind to new thing and I don't regret it, the food was seriously good, and the supposedly “grumpy boss” (that I read on the review section) turned out to be really friendly. Some might find the soup a bit murky, but to me, it was rich, deep, and packed with bold herbal flavour, exactly what I love. The dry bak kut teh (mixed) was a smoky, charred indulgence. The pork intestine stood out, I usually avoid it because of the bitterness, but here, that bitterness worked in harmony with the dark soy sauce, creating a deliciously bold flavour. Plus, the texture? So soft and tender. Maybe I got lucky, but the meat that day, both in the soup and dry version, was fall-off-the-bone tender. Even the oil rice surprised me, it looked like plain white rice, but one bite in and there were hint of flavour that made it clear it wasn’t just white rice. As for portion size, it was just right for me, especially for something this indulgent. I try not to go overboard with rich food like this. My takeaway? Keep an open mind when trying new places. Don’t expect perfection, just enjoy the experience, like everything else in life.

I’m gweilo, not an experienced BKT consumer so not qualified to evaluate the fine distinguishing characteristics of the meal but I did enjoy everything and I’ve already been to many similar Chinese restaurants with my in laws. Every dish was flavorful and well prepared, very good dinner.

They kept their BKT flavours pretty consistent. The dry BKT is a must order along side the soup claypot BKT. You can request which type of pork cut you prefer more. The chinese cruller or yao char kuey they serve is crispy and not the soft type. The fried foo chok is more like a foo chok spring rolls with fillings in it. The claypot wine chicken on the other hand is more like dry bkt take on wine chicken. I personally find it not enough kick to it. The place is clean and have an air con room on the adjacent. Staffs are polite and the friendly boss is always on site supervising. Hociak !

I love their soup was rich of favourite and full of collagen, their dry version was also very delicious; not the best I had tried but definitely on the top of my list. I would love to come back again and bring along with my friends next time.

I have tried the Signature Noodle, Vinegar Pork Leg and Chicken Wine Noodle. All taste below average. The BKT soup no taste of herbs and not aromatic. The Vinegar Pork taste too sour, no sweetnes and not spicy. The Chicken Wine taste flat, not much wine taste. Thumbs down for all dishes, looks lile the chef is has bad taste bud.

Ordered through Foodpanda, Black pepper Bah Kut Teh served hot & fixed my craving. (Got Rib, Intestine & Meat) all fresh with Mushrooms. Fast preparation too! It would be better if the plastic bags are assured safe enough to stand the heat.

I had a truly wonderful stay at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur. From the moment I arrived, everything about the experience was smooth, comfortable, and elegant. The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed, making my stay both relaxing and memorable. What really stood out was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Everyone I encountered was warm, attentive, and professional. I want to especially highlight Ms. Raagini, who went above and beyond when I realized I had accidentally left some items in the safe box after checking out. The security personnel and she handled the situation with remarkable efficiency and genuine care, ensuring that my belongings were safely returned to me without any hassle. It’s rare to come across such outstanding hospitality, and it made my stay all the more special. I’m extremely impressed with both the hotel and its team. Highly recommended!

I had an amazing stay, the staff was very welcoming and hospitable and the property is one of a kind. It's a very unique hotel in terms of it's history and you can feel it from the moment you arrive at the lobby. Location is really good too, it's quiet but also very close to popular tourist hotspots. Spending time in the hotel itself is a joy. The breakfast buffet and food was also quite delicious so overall a very nice stay and I would love to go back.

Stayed 3 nights - definitely not a Marriott experience. Rooms were okay but some lights were fused and shower was ponding.. bed quality was good. Marriott Club lounge facility on the1st floor did not serve complimentary alcoholic beverages from 5-7pm which was unusual for Marriott. Service overall was reasonable and attentive. Location is excellent.

Had buffet at Contango, Majestic Hotel, overall the food was nice with a good variety. They serve Japanese sashimi (if you like something raw), pasta, and some local Malay dishes like nasi briyani. The main courses were ok. What really disappointed me was the macarons on the desserts section. It’s supposed to be free flow, but after I had just three, the waiter who served them suddenly kept the whole tray in the fridge behind and told me “no more, finished.” Even my parents wanted to have some, not a single one and were told the same thing. Lol. Customers aren’t blind, we literally saw the tray being kept inside the fridge. For a 5-star hotel, this kind of service makes no sense. If you’re going to offer something in a buffet, serve it properly. Otherwise it really spoils what could’ve been an enjoyable experience. The way this situation was handled really affected the impression😅

If been there many times at each trip is special. One of my favorite hotels I visited ever. The staff is top notch friendly and welcoming, but still down to earth and always here for a chat and a joke. The gym room is enough for what it is. The breakfast and the evening buffet are also top of their league. There is literally everything you would want from a 5 star hotel. I recommend the Majestic to all my friends and family visiting KL.

My recent stay at The Majestic Hotel left me genuinely appalled by how far this supposed 5-star establishment has fallen in terms of service and hospitality. Upon arrival, there was no greeting from the concierge — no smile, no “welcome to The Majestic.” When I approached, the staff merely looked up and gave me a blank “yes?” expression. Hardly the first impression you’d expect from a property that markets itself as “luxury.” Check-in was mechanically smooth — all surface, no substance. I was asked for a credit card for the security deposit but was not told the amount. Assuming it would be the standard RM100 a night (as is common in comparable hotels), I didn’t think twice — my mistake. They also had me fill out an electronic form with my phone number and email, then simply handed me the room key without a single word of orientation. No mention of where breakfast is served, gym hours, WiFi details, or even a simple “enjoy your stay.” Every bit of warmth or hospitality seemed optional here. Up in the room, things didn’t get better. The leather on the chair and the sink surface were both chipped, which is quite off-putting in a so-called luxury hotel. There was no soap dish, meaning I had to leave the bar soap on the countertop — unsanitary and just sloppy housekeeping. Then came the real shock: a room charge notification nearly RM1,000 higher than my booking rate. When I went down to clarify, the new concierge (again, no greeting whatsoever) told me confidently that the previous staff explained the RM300-per-day security hold. When I said they hadn’t, he replied flatly, “Oh sorry” — astonishingly dismissive and unprofessional. It didn’t stop there. The TV was outdated with very limited channels. When I called concierge to ask if it had Netflix or any streaming capabilities, I was told no, but they could send an HDMI cable. Unfortunately, my laptop only has USB-C ports, and though they said they’d check for an adapter and call back, they never did. To top it off, I ordered Grab food later in the evening and instructed the delivery driver to inform concierge to send it up to my room. When my food was delivered but hadn’t been sent up, I called concierge to politely check if it is on the way to me. The hotel refused, insisting I collect it from the lobby myself — something other hotels in KL (like Alila Bangsar) handled with grace and courtesy, often even providing cutlery whenever I requested. From start to finish, the experience has been disheartening. The lack of professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made me regret booking here. The Majestic may have a storied name, but based on my stay, it does not uphold the standards of true hospitality. Do not recommend.

Booked a 1-night stay here via Majestic Delight package. It comes with a Junior Suite plus buffet breakfast & buffet dinner. It was for my husband's birthday. Upon check-in, we were given a complimentary upgrade to Premier Suite instead. This was a nice surprise for us. The room was clean & spacious, comfortable bed with a nice view of Merdeka 118 Tower. Because it's my husband's birthday, they gave us complimentary slice of cheesecake & birthday balloons in the room. Both buffet spreads were delicious too. We loved our stay here, a meaningful one.

The fish is very fresh and they cook it perfectly as well. Ordered the stingray and it’s delicious. The spice level could be quite high if you're not familiar with it. The owner is also very friendly and overall it's very satisfying lunch. Price is affordable as well.

With my limited knowledge of how fresh a fresh seafood can get at a restaurant, i can say they serve fresh seafood. All cooked to perfection, the marinated a bit spicy but still good. Sambal both sweet, sour and spicy just the way i like it. The restaurant is hot and humid, that's the way it is in Malaysia. No way around it. Parking a bit limited and cramped. So come early before the office lunch hour Price, i can't say for sure but you be the judge. Sotong goreng or grilled squid is RM25..

Went to Ikan Bakar Seri Melaka at Jalan Bellamy for a late lunch, and we were literally the last ones in before closing (they shut at 4.30pm). Despite that, the service was amazing. An elderly uncle was still going around cleaning tables and even topping up our drinks, which is rare these days! Food rundown: Ikan Pari (RM15): a bit on the tough side, probably because it had been sitting on the grill for a while. Ikan Kembung (RM12 each): soft, juicy, but honestly not much meat. Omelette: nice side dish to go with the free-flow rice, veges, kuah, and rose syrup. Overall, service made up for the slightly mixed food experience. Worth trying if you like a laid-back, old-school ikan bakar spot with friendly vibes.

We ordered pan roasted squid and grilled stingray. Comes with rice and other side dishes like dried fish which you can pick yourself. The seafood are wrapped in banana leaves. Tasted scrumptious.

Recently had lunch at Restoran Ikan Bakar Seri Melaka, Jalan Bellamy. The place is well known for its grilled seafood, and I ordered the sotong bakar and ikan pari bakar with rice and sambal. The sotong bakar was tender and nicely coated with a spicy-sweet marinade that had just the right amount of kick. The ikan pari bakar was fresh, juicy, and grilled in banana leaf, giving it a smoky aroma and locking in all the flavors. Paired with their sambal kicap and sambal merah, the taste was even more addictive. The set came with rice, some soup, and ulam on the side, making it a wholesome meal. Portion sizes were generous for the price, and everything tasted homemade and authentic. The restaurant itself has a simple, no-frills vibe, but that’s part of its charm. Service was quick, and the food arrived hot. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re craving grilled seafood in KL. The ikan pari bakar is a must-try, and the sotong is perfect for sharing. Great spot for a casual lunch with friends.

Nice place, a lot of people eating here. If you are spicy food lover and loves to eat fish you can visit this place, there are also different side dishes you can choose that are not spicy. Atmosphere is a bit hot maybe bcs we visited during lunch time, place don't have AC but have enough fan for cust but over all food are very affordable and tasty. I suggest tourist to come here and try their local/Malaysian food. 😊👌🏼

This Malay stall offers Barbeque Seafood including Siakap, Terubuk, Talapia, Kembung, Cencaru, Keli, Pari, Sotong, Kerang, Rice and some mix rice dishes (eggs, veggies, etc), etc. Atmosphere: 3.75🌟 Place is quite okay and its the first shop (out of 3) and its the furthest one away from parking lots inside. Service: 4🌟 Very friendly nice service. You can order fish from table or from the grill area and they will serve in plate and you can take it to your table. Sauces (2 types) are also prepared near the grill area so you can also take it to your table. The rice and dishes are near the cashier counter where you take rice from the bucket and what dishes you want. They will calculate and give you a paper with the amount to be paid at cashier counter after the meal. Food: Talapia 3.5🌟 The red color fish, I like this one as its very meaty. There's a problem with it is that the fish scales are not fully cleaned hence there was some fish scales. If they are done properly, we would be able to enjoy it much more with the nicely barbequed skin. Dip with the soy sauce mixture is a great match. Priced at Rm 16 Food: Pari 4🌟 Stingray, quite a good size. Its quite dry as its pan barbequed with sauce but texture is good. Dip with the chili sauce mixture its a great match. Priced at Rm 18 Food: Sotong 3.75🌟 Squid and quite large. It was nicely cut and inside there's fillings as well, taste good. Texture wise its chewy and fresh. Priced at Rm 18 Food: Kembung 3.25🌟 Forgot to take picture. We asked which fish has least amount of bones and was suggested this but maybe there was miscommunication as it also has plenty of bones. It was okay but not my preferred type of fish. Priced at Rm 15 (I think) Food: Keli 4🌟 Forgot to take picture. Quite big and as expected the cheapest choice. It was quickly gobbled up as it taste very nice plus the meat is fatty so it was much juicier and soft than other fish. Priced at Rm 12 Food: 3 Rice, Veggies, 3 Drinks We had 3 plates of rice + 1 refill. We had 2 rounds of 1 plate veggies (long beans, etc). We ordered Teh Ais, 100 Plus and Coke. All of these total priced at Rm 12 (I think).

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially when assisting with my luggage. The location is perfect — right in the heart of KL, within walking distance to Pavilion and Lot 10. I really appreciated the small details, like having an iron board delivered to my room promptly. I also love the clever design of having the sink outside the washroom — it’s so convenient for guests to wash their hands without needing to enter the bathroom. The lobby smells amazing and gives such a welcoming vibe the moment you step in. Overall, a fantastic experience — I’ll definitely come back again!

Recently stayed at the Wolo Hotel KL for the first time and wanted to express our appreciation for the wonderful experience from the moment we stepped into the hotel. Stayed at Wolo Hotel Kuala Lumpur, and it was a truly pleasant experience from start to finish. The hotel’s location is excellent — it’s right in the heart of Bukit Bintang, just steps away from shopping malls, restaurants, and cafés. Everything you need is within walking distance, which made our stay even more convenient and enjoyable. The room was very spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, with a modern touch and a lovely city view that I really appreciated. Not forgotten, thank you for the upgrade. It felt comfortable, relaxing and perfect. Special recognition to Hasni, the front desk staff, for her outstanding service. She was very helpful, professional, and friendly during check-in. She patiently assisted with all questions and made everything so much easier. Her warm hospitality left a great impression and made every hotel resident a very welcome. Our experience in staying at the WOLO Kuala Lumpur was fabulous. The hotel’s hospitality was very friendly, especially the Manager: Mr. Mizan who not only greeted us, but also made a nice conversation with us. This made us felt very much welcome and gave the first good impression. The hotel’s cleanliness was also superb. This is very important for the guests who care on the health and hygiene. Overall, we are so happy to stay at this hotel and would not doubt to stay again or even recommend the WOLO hotel to the others 😊

Great location, in between the bustling areas. The roads around are packed till about 1am but we don’t hear anything from our rooms (we were staying on the 18th floor with no windows). Getting to and fro your hotel is a challenge because the roads are very jam. Best to find a good time to leave (non peak!) the shower is THE BEST shower I’ve had in my life, water pressure was immense and they provided nice smelling soap. The luggage rack is directly beneath the clothing rack, so you’ll have to access your luggage with an entire forest of clothes in your face. The bed placement is also a little weird, there’s only one access point so the person sleeping “inside” has to crawl across the entire bed to get in (not something you’d wanna do in complete darkness)

Cleanliness is great, small rooms for the non-suite (don't expect luxury, they give off boutique hotel vibes). Location is the best since it is so close to lots of malls such as Pavilion and Lot10, etc. Literally very central indeed. Service was superb as I totally didn't expect their security to even help with luggage upon arrival/departure. Wow, just wow! Amenities wise, just your typical setup for boutique hotels - safe box, mini fridge (nothing inside), Nespresso coffee capsules and TWG tea bags, toiletries etc. Nothing too fancy but bang for buck, dare I say for the price point.

Really nice hotel! Clean, comfortable, and great service all around. Big shout-out to the manager on duty — always greeted me with the warmest smile. What amazed me most was that he actually remembered my name and would greet me from afar whenever he saw me. Such a nice personal touch!

Name very pro , taste very not bakuteh . Herbal flavour is very mild and the more you drink the soup the more salty it gets. Meat wise is okay if want to makan ok lo it’s just not going to be as good as you think la , just my personal opinion.

I was here around 5pm. Was asking bout what kind of promotion they offered. I was served by an waitress but her English still need to be improved. I sat for more than 10 mins, nobody asking or come to serve me. At last the same waitress(Abbie) came and asked. At least she noticed that I was sitting at the smoking area n no others want to come and serve me! Before that at least 3 or 4 staffs passed by but none of them stopped and asked what I wanna order! She did save this restaurant or bistro! If not, I would have just walked out n write a very bad review!

Came in looking for a safe well cooked meal before I start on a 30 hour journey in the morning Gave their Iberico Pork Ribs a try and they were excellent. So were the sides. Paired with their Chilean house Merlot and it was a nice experience It's not a fine dinning palace so service and atmosphere was good enough. The main thing was the food and it was tasty I would probably come back next time I am I these neck of the woods again

Hubby and I had a wonderful time at The Barn, Pavilion KL, enjoying both food and drinks. We were served by Rayana, who was absolutely fantastic – friendly, attentive, and always happy to assist, which made our experience even more enjoyable. Great atmosphere, great service – we’ll definitely be back!

The crowd in this outlet is like a melting pot, as you get locals as well as internationals, young and old . So the vibe here is similar to Pavilion mall . The food is okay . We had cheese fries and pizza . Mostly stayed for the live music . Their singer took in song requests and was open to allowing guests to sing-along on stage . Music is not blaring loud and light here is bright enough that we saw a guest who brought a book to read .

Impromptu decision to have dinner here and to enjoy live music. We had their firegrill steak and Hainanese chicken (huge!!) which were delicious!! There's smoking room inside where you can watch sport channel too.

Great place to chill after work. Though can be abit noisy, I used my earphones to watch YouTube so, small matter. Great ambience and lighting for me. Service was also great

I stayed for 3 nights in a single room and overall really loved the hotel. The property feels newly renovated, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, and I appreciated the little details like the mounted shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash, and lotion. The smart TV features were also a nice touch, making the stay more enjoyable. However, the major downside was the noise at night. My room was facing the Mara building on Jalan Raja Laut, and every night until around 6am there were extremely loud motorbike and car noises from groups hanging out on the street. Unfortunately, this made it hard to get any quality sleep, and I could only rest properly after dawn. This kind of noise issue is really bad for business, and I do hope the hotel management looks into ways to address it, as it seriously affects the guest experience. Despite this, I would still recommend the hotel because the facilities and comfort are excellent. My only advice is to request a room that is not facing Jalan Raja Laut, otherwise you may have the same sleepless nights I experienced.

Second time staying here. I really fascinated with the location and friendly staff. This time around, the security helped me on my baggage - I just left at the lobby, and proceed to the parking. The front office staff, Ms Khadijah was very friendly and accomodated the checked-in process. Really recommended for travellers who wants to stay in the hub of Kuala Lumpur. Nice hotel with many eateries nearby.

I wanted to specifically commend Faheem, the Duty Manager, for his exceptional service during our stay. We encountered a minor issue and he handled it with incredible efficiency and professionalism. Faheem was quick to find a resolution, making the process completely stress-free for us. His attentiveness and calm, problem-solving approach were a true reflection of outstanding hotel management.

Went there for International Islamic College event, it was great. Location wise is very strategic and ideal for tourists and businessmen who wish to experience affordable place to stay. The food was superb but the teh tarik needs to be adjusted as it was too sweet. Overall, thumbs up, keep it up!

A somewhat sweeter MSG-laced version of the classic pork bone tea broth. The kidney in ginger yellow wine was sweet rather than gingery, though tasted fresher than from the Michelin star competitor Hing Kee around the block. A generous sprinkle of wolfberries in this tonic. Sadly, good Bah kut teh is still only found delicious miles away in Klang.

I was told that this is the legendary Bak Kut Teh restaurant — a true must-try spot! The soup was incredibly delicious with a rich, strong herbal aroma that really stood out. I didn’t order much this time since I wasn’t very hungry, but everything I tried was excellent. This is easily a 5-star experience for me. I’m looking forward to coming back again soon to try more dishes and share a more detailed review. Definitely a place worth returning to ^^

This shop offers many variety of bak kut teh (bkt) and food, from soup bkt, dried bkt, claypot bkt, braised meat, etc etc.. My visit is to try the traditional version bkt ie served in mini bowls. Maybe traditional version bkt is not the "cup of tea" of this shop.....the soup base is clear, full with herbs flavour but overly sugar sweet. For me, the bkt is lacking of trafitional bkt umami. Not my type of bkt 😅, just me. Maybe the taste suit you as the shop is getting many high stars reviews 😉.

We had herbal and dry bakuteh. Fried dough with bakuteh is a must! Fragrant scent of the herbal soup not overpowering. The taste is just right. The dry bakuteh is slightly spicy which is best to have with pork liver! Would definitely come again to try the other variety available.

I bought take away from the shop and I must say, their bat kut teh is the genuine traditional dishes plus they are absolutely outstanding! The flavors are rich and authentic, bringing a true taste of tradition to every bite. From the soup to the rice, they are delicious with a strong, inviting fragrance, yet never oily or heavy. A truly delightful culinary experience! I will definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates bat kut teh!

Terrible price for this shop, will never visit again. I ordered two pack bak kut teh and come with the small potion, soup taste is worst than previous visit. This restaurant operates in two sessions: 4.00–6.00 pm (2 hours) and 6.45 pm until closing. We visited on a Sunday evening for the second session. Arrived at 6.30 pm and many diners were already seated, waiting for orders. The aunty taking our order was friendly and helpful. Only two dishes are available in the second session – Klang Bak Kut Teh (soup) and Pig Stomach Pepper Soup. We ordered one portion of each (RM21.00 each), plus one white rice, one oil rice, and one fried dough, no drinks. Total bill for two was RM50.00. The Bak Kut Teh had a stronger herbal flavour with a slight sweetness, while the Pepper Soup was decent. Portions were slightly smaller than other places, but the meat quality was good and the fried dough was fresh, not stale. Even the condiments like garlic and cili padi were fresh. What impressed us most was the cleanliness – tables, chairs, and the cooking station were spotless. It would be even better if staff wore face masks and head coverings when handling food, but overall, we were very happy with the cleanliness here.

There is just too much hype about this joint. Prior to the MCO it was one of the best but it has deteriorated since...in every sense of the word. Each time we visited this place hoping that it would have improved, we were left disappointed. We arrived at 8pm and the stall claimed most of the items we came for was sold out. They opened at 7pm. Go figure. The limited choices were nothing to shout about. It was under whelming. You are left wondering if you had eaten anything at all. Prices were steep for the less than average food. There was nothing that one could look forward to when dining there anymore. No you char kwai as were the last 3x we went there. Again they claimed it was sold out. One wonders how they plan their daily food menu..if at all. Don't bother visiting unless you want to feel disappointed or you think this review is unfair. As for us we will skip this in future...one bitten twice shy...in fact bitten more than once!

Having a good dinner again Bak Kut Teh in the Kepong. No regrets and must try. Especially the big or small bone. Very well cooked. The soup tastes just nice and delicious. Outside seat comfortable and not too hot unless raining then must seat inside. Overall, another good foods shop in Kepong.

Waited for more than 1 hours before restaurant started at 7.30pm. Refused to give extra soup as we hv to request to boss directly. Taste so so and I would rather travel to klang for the authentic taste.

The first broth is nice, after refill the soup taste abit bland. Service is very bad because the waiter who took order is impatient and don’t not give friendly response. After eating, there is cockroach crawling on the table. Recommended to try.

Extremely busy place during dinner time around 6pm-7.30pm Food is served fast and taste good. Salted egg baby French bean tastes good. Yellow wine chicken with added fried egg have the right taste. Not overly sweet for the wine. Chicken portions are soft to bite. Seniors can bite to eat, wine taste not overwhelming. Will go try other dishes during our next visit.

First impression is important- I felt very comfortable and welcome by the very friendly staffs in SekMeChoy and it is very surprising coming from an old school restaurant! Their specialty is the Bak kut Teh, but we decided to try the home style dishes. Very good food indeed - ginger wine soup is strong😊, salted eggs french bean is tasty and the stir fried pork with bitter gourd is also excellent. The fried durian dessert is a perfect ending. I advise to take LRT there as parking is difficult.

Surprisingly this restaurant is not too far away from KL even though it is located at Salak South. We heard from a friend about their famous mustard veggies rice so we decided to give it a try. We were lucky to get a carpark just outside the restaurant. The restaurant was not too packed on a weekday. This place serves popular Malaysian Chinese food. We settled for the steamed pork belly with preserved veggies, pork stomach peppery hot bak kut teh, braised ginger duck, tofu with minced meat and fried kangkong. Of course we also ordered the famous mustard veggies rice to go with the main dishes. We didn’t need to wait too long for the food to arrive. I must say the dishes all turned out to be pretty tasty. The ginger duck was tender with the right amount of ginger. The bak kut Teh was not too spicy. The kangkong was full of aroma and fried to perfection. The rice was good too. But I do wish if they could be a bit less salty as I felt thirsty after the meal. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal. I would come back to try other dishes in the future.

I came here today for the food in this restaurant is delicious, the soup base of the vegetarian Bak Kut Teh is very flavorful and rich, and the staff is very friendly. When three of us came in with my parents, they made a table for four seaters for us, and before we were even seated, they asked us if we wanted to switch to a bigger table 🥰.When we finished our meal and wanted to pay, the cashier, I believe she was owner, was very friendly and polite. Relatively good food, nice nasi lemak and also Mee Siam. The staff were okay, but could be friendlier. Small area for dining in but good enough for quick meal. Don’t expect much, just fill your tummy and go. Price was reasonable for the portion. Drinks was nice, and we can choose sugar level. That was much appreciated.

Cockroach found in my iced drink! Sucked it in through the straw, spat out a body of cockroach. Worst disgusting experience. I brought the roach body to their staff, everyone's busy, nobody's attending to me. After awhile, the body was being taken away discreetly, as if nothing happened. So I further requested to speak to manager, one staff came, asked me:" What do you want? Food or refund?". The staff acted as if it's a very common issue to them. They finally refunded the drink, apologised in the most insincere tone and explained that could be due to cockroach flew in AFTER its served, and likely came from the bakery shop next to them, not their premise.

The food here is great, and the simple setup works well for a quick bite, no complaints there. But the service? Absolutely disappointing. The staff treated us like we were bothering them just by walking in. For such a straightforward place, I wouldn’t even mind if it were self-service, but if you’re going to have people working there, they should at least show basic courtesy.

Small, cheap, tasty meals. They have 'grab and go' meals wrapped in banana leaf or you can dine in. The coffee is good and they have a nice explanation chart of each option. I found a 'hot kopi c' to be to my liking. It takes them a bit of time to prepare it but it's worth it. Regarding the food, I found it to be tasty for such a small 'fast food' place. The portions are smaller than what I've found at other places but the prices are also lower here. They start early as well, so it's a good place to grab a morning koffie and a kaya butter to get started.

I’m waiting my order just for kopi cincau almost 15min. Staff at the counter 6 person. Customer waiting order only 3 customer. I noticed the working making my order after she accumulate all order from the customer after me. Means it is not follow the correct turn in making. Need to use first come first serve process!

My first and probably final time eating at Bungkus Kaw Kaw (and all other outlets). Personally, I cannot accept a dine-in restaurant that serves microwaved food. My nasi lemak rendang chicken was pre-packed served out of microwave 😥. What worse was that this establishment chose to create more rubbish by serving drinks in plastic bags. Sales gimmick? That's a terrible gimmick for the environment. On a positive side, the place was clean. Drinks sweetness can be customised. Speed can be improved since they have over 10 staff in this tiny store (I was the only customer in the store at the time of dining)

Terrible experience at Arte Plus Ampang. Security staff were rude and disrespectful, facilities were badly maintained and nothing like the pictures. Definitely not worth staying here

I recently stayed at Arte Plus by Awesome stay but was a bit disappointed with the experience. The cleanliness could be improved, as the room did not feel very tidy. The location was also not very convenient, and the service did not meet expectations. I hope the management takes this feedback positively and works on improving these areas for future guests.

Unit T1-43-1 We’re very disappointed with our recent stay. Communication was slow (over 2 days to respond), and the key collection process was overly complicated. The elevator area had coffee stains throughout our stay. The unit smelled bad, had spider webs, a dead cockroach, and the air-con was dusty and unclean. Water pressure in both bathrooms was very low. Bedsheets were dirty, and one window couldn’t close properly, letting in loud noise at night. Two of our group have allergies and this environment was unsafe. We request a fair compensation and expect Airbnb to review this listing seriously. Please respond as soon as possible.

Worst place to stay. I would not recommend it to anyone. Please avoid that apartment. Worst Security(Few idiots guards), parking and lift looks like you have given a puzzle to solve. Dirty and unhygienic. Indside room bathroom no lights. All the sink are clogged.

The room is dirty and dangerous design. Foreign worker can access the unit with another key 🔑. The foreign worker here access the unit at night but a customer managed to deter them with a trap. Imagine customer have to guard against the Airbnb service provider. The guard here sleeping or the management here isn't doing anything. Location is good but the security is bad.

Apart from the location there is not much else to the place. The outside is dirty with garbage everywhere. The pictures provided are deceiving place is dirty and needs a deep cleaning. Bathrooms are moldy, sofa is stained and disgusting. The beds were soo hard to sleep on. We unfortunately stayed 8 days and no extra bedding or towels. Very shabby. And instructions to access the apartment was very poor we wasted 30-45mins just trying to figure it out. Gym is ridiculous don't bother 90% of the equipment doesnt work and other recreationals were closed.

the management is trash. everything in here are problematic. firstly, the parking lot, it's so dizzy to find our parking number and how much the parking lot have. why put so much when this place is not recommended for people to go for holiday with families and friends. and it's about the lift too. it's like being in a puzzle to go to places but no two lifts for us to go to the same place, we had to wait for so long for the lift to be empty since it's always full with people. the most thing that I despise is the management. I feel pity for whoever comes here. I wouldn't even recommend this place to my friends.

I was craving for Bakuteh one of my fave Chinese food. Dropping by at Sum Hou Bakuteh in Hartamas. Although looking for a parking was quite difficult. Their Bakuteh was worth the wait. Meat were plentiful and broth was flavourful. One of the best Bakuteh I have had.. A must-try...😀👌

This is the only bak kut teh around mt kiara but there are plenty within 4km outside from here. I do think that other bak kut teh are way better and wondering how they can compete with other establishments. Soup lacks the “panax noto-ginseng/tong kwei” flavor which js the main ingredient for bak kut teh and the broth was thickened with (i think either corn starch or rice flour). While the onion rice was unfortunately luke warm. While the atmosphere is air conditioned and comfortable. It lacks the substance of flavorful bak kut teh which is the main food sold here. Hopefully they will improve.

Bak Kut Teh was above average, but the soup was only average. They serve the chilli with the raw garlic. Fact is I only take raw garlic with black thick sauce. They should not assume and just serve the chillies and garlic separately for us to choose ourselves. Ask for garlic only and the lady boss thot we want more garlic in the soup won't let go of the precious garlic. Had to prise it from her hands. Not coming back.

such a kind restaurant tiger beer is just 9RM for 1can so nice to drink with dry Bak Teh

In my quest for Bak Kut Teh around Hartamas, this spot pleasantly surprised me. The pork meat is tender coupled with the pork stomach and intestines, impeccably clean with no lingering odour. The Otak-Otak was flavorful. The trio of rice choices offers a nice touch. Beyond Bak Kut Teh, their menu unveils a delightful array of well-cooked dishes. The place has a simple decor, adorned with charming collectibles from days gone by, giving a nostalgic touch.

The food is good, I always order both the soup and dry Bak Kut teh. Normally accompanied with the you tiao, vegetables and sometimes the toufoo. I haven’t tried the other side dishes so can’t comment. Place is clean and comfortable. Service depends, sometimes you get a server that understands and speaks the language or the bosses which is good, other times you get 1 of the foreign workers and it’s difficult to communicate especially if you have questions. Otherwise all’s good!

My absolute favourite place to stay in KL!!! So close to the food market for amazing meals and it’s so peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle! Staff were super friendly and helpful. Pure bliss!

The room we stayed in was not hygienic at all. The sheets had hair and stains on them, so we ended up sleeping on top of the covers. The four-poster bed was also broken on one end, making it feel unstable. Thankfully, we only needed the room for a few hours to get some sleep before our next flight, so we only booked for one night. It was a very disappointing experience, however the location is convenient.

Here’s my honest review as a local customer . Yes the environment seems very healing, but we as customer really looking foward for experience therapist that is suitable for our request . I choose thai massage, but the massage therapist really seems dk how to thai massage . I think you need to arrange your therapist on which massage that they know better. Other than that, please take all the towel to wash & heat it to kill bacteria. Bcs my body feels very itchy after using it and go red rash. I hope that you can improve it, so that you can attract chinese customers better instead of asking them to promote it at xiaohongshu. Good review on social media but not same as the expectation review also no use. Thankyou

Great massage, the place looks really good inside and outside. Only negative point is that they should use a towel or something to lay down on it. Who knows how many sweaty body was on that mattress before. This thought troubled me until I fallen to sleep. Rooms are small for a 6'4 guy. Ginger tea was really nice.

Beautiful classic interior that brings you back to kampung. We were greeted with friendly staff and a welcome ginger tea (which was delicious). Then we got to the room and it was so homely and clean. There was a TV, kettle, complimentary water, and even a work desk if you have to work. The bed was comfy and the toilet served its purpose. I then experienced the herbal compress massage while my husband had the the traditional chinese massage. Both were fantastic in releasing all those knots and tension. Overall, a wonderful experience at a great price!

Loved this hotel, very good strategic location, its pretty and unique. The price is good too. The hotel is next to the night market and our room was facing it so it was a little noicy. It seemed like the hotel was very popular among people coming to enjoy its spa services, unfortunatelly, we did not have enough time to try them out. Maybe next time! We had great time in Kl

The rooms are clean, and the beds are very comfortable. The hotel had a great atmosphere. The side of the hotel where my room was located had a lot of outside noise, but it didn't have a big negative effect on the stay. It smells amazing.
