The Heritance Negombo is a wonderful hotel. The location overlooking the beach is stunning. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed with great views. Service at the front desk is very friendly and helpful. I ate breakfasts and dinners at the hotel restaurant. Madu always greeted me with a warm smile and showed me to my table. Samantha, who served us, made sure our order was correct not too spicy. I was impressed by their hard work and attention to detail. In fact all of the restaurant staff worked as a team to ensure you enjoyed your meal. I will long remember the short but pleasant time I spent at your hotel. Thank you.

It’s a 5 star hotel for a reason. Special thank you to Rashmi from reception who made our stay all the more special. We were upgraded, and a birthday cake was left ready in our room for a special surprise. All of the staff were friendly, polite, and beyond helpful. The spa massage was amazing, the pool cocktails, the dinner and breakfast, all around excellent stay. Thank you so much again!

I stayed at the Sentido Heritance for 2 nights as part of a tour. The rooms were well-appointed and a good size. The pool and grounds were very nice. What really stood out was the amazing staff in every aspect of our stay. The doorman and security staff were always friendly and helpful. The pool attendants were very quick and responsive. The staff at BlueTan restaurant were especially wonderful. Madu, the hostess, had an incredible memory for detail and ran an incredible breakfast staff. A particular shout out to the omlette station staff and to Thurani who made perfect tea and coffee. In the evening, Pasa and Sandun made our dinner experience very pleasant with their attentiveness and smiles. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay a good one.

Our stay at Sentido Heritance Negombo was truly exceptional. The service and hospitality went above and beyond our expectations. I would like to extend my gratitude to reception staff for their warm, welcoming, and friendly approach that made me feel at home. The entire team was courteous, professional, and always ready to assist with genuine care. The service was excellent. We had a 2 night stay with the family. Rooms are clean and common areas were spotlessly clean, and everything was well-maintained. Pool is nice and large with a pool bar. Breakfast buffet was good with a nice variety of local foods. The environment was peaceful and relaxing

Lovely hotel, lovely staff and a great location. Breakfast was great. Didn't eat any other meals but there are lots of eating options close by. AC in the room was a bit temperamental at times but other than that, can't fault it. Would definitely recommend.

What a great hotel and service ! Room was direct ocean view with balcony, specious, clean and all necessary amenities were provided. All staff we met were so helpful. Special thanks to Anjanika who prepared birthday decorations and celebrated with surprise. She was so attentive and friendly with great smile, which made our trip as memorable one.

Our stay at Jetwing Beach was absolutely wonderful! The 5 stars are truly well deserved. The hotel is stunning — beautifully designed, peaceful, and perfectly maintained. The atmosphere is full of calm and serenity, and every corner feels inviting. The service was exceptional — the staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. We felt genuinely cared for during our entire stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and unforgettable experience! The only downside was that the menu didn’t mention a 33% service charge. It’s usually around 10%, but here it was 33%, which made the final bill much higher than expected.

Loved our stay at Jetwing Beach Hotel, Negombo! We had such a great time staying at Jetwing Beach. The beach right in front of the hotel is beautiful — perfect for morning walks and sunsets. The pools were clean and relaxing, and there was a really good variety of food to choose from, all delicious and fresh. Big thanks to Senarath, the F&B Manager, who was super helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly during my stay. The reception team, Suranga and Claira, were so friendly and always ready to help, which made everything really easy and welcoming. Malcolm the pool attendant was always attentive and a big shoutout to Maleesha from housekeeping for keeping our room spotless and being so attentive every day. Overall, it was a fantastic experience — great service, great food, and a beautiful beach setting. we’d definitely come back again!

We greatly enjoyed our stay here - spacious rooms, beach access, delicious breakfast buffet & helpful staff. We had Maleesha looking after us & he was brilliant. Good location too. The downsides are the damp, moldy smell in both of our rooms, not overwhelmingly so but always there; the interior design looks rather dated & corridors were dark.

We had the most amazing stay at jetwing beach!!! I have stayed here multiple times and always receive such lovely service from the staff who are kind friendly and incredible diligent, going above and beyond. I would 100% recommend them to anyone travelling to Sri Lanka, and will be staying there next time I go back

I recently stayed at this hotel for a short vacation and had a truly wonderful experience. Although it was just a one-night stay, everything exceeded my expectations. The room was spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the essential amenities for a comfortable stay. What really stood out was the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. From the moment we arrived, they were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. It made us feel genuinely cared for. The rooftop area is absolutely stunning, and the highlight of our stay was definitely the infinity pool. We spent hours there just relaxing, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere while watching the waves crash onto the shore—it was incredibly calming and memorable. The food was also quite good, with a decent variety and fresh flavors. Overall, the price was very reasonable for the quality of service and facilities offered. I went there with my best mates on a Saturday night and had a fabulous time in the hotel. The food was amazing. The hotel has an infinity pool facing the Indian Ocean. The hotel played a live band on Saturday which was off the roof. I had a great time and thanks to the staff and barmen for serving nice cocktails.

We stayed on a half-board basis (dinner and breakfast). The rooms were very clean, and the overall environment was calm and relaxing. Although the food variety was limited, every dish was exceptionally delicious and well-prepared. I was truly delighted with the quality and taste of the meals. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, making our stay even more pleasant. There was a rooftop DJ event at night, which added some entertainment. Since the hotel is located entirely within a building, the view of the hotel is pretty much limited ( No walking areas). But the beach is conveniently located just about 100 meters away. Overall, our stay was definitely worth the money. I would, however, suggest adding some seating areas (sofas or chairs) on each floor to provide guests with a comfortable space to relax and chat.

Lovely resort for a relaxed yet stylish stay near Colombo. The infinity pool on the rooftop is truly refreshing, with great ocean views. The rooftop bar is sophisticated; perfect for a sundowner drink, though it can get quite loud; I'm not sure how this would have affected nearby rooms. My room was very clean and spacious, which was a welcome relief after a long flight. The resort’s location is handy for trips to Colombo and close to the airport, making it a great option if you want to combine beach time with city visits. Service staff were friendly and efficient throughout my stay.

Stylish hotel in a great location near the beach and lagoon. I stayed in a spacious sea view room and loved the rooftop pool and bar, perfect for sunset. The place has a modern vibe and even some cool touches from the owner, who’s a bike enthusiast. Restaurant was decent, and the spa adds a nice touch. Only downside was a bit of noise from the karaoke club below the rooftop area. Still, a solid spot for a short stay after a long flight or before departure.

Highly recommended this lovely hotel located about 10meters away from clean beaches. Friendly staff. Food is very tasty. Tried many seafood dishes; they have used fresh seafood and quality ingredients. Parking available in the premises. They have an infinity pool and lovely roof top bar. They do not have a gym unfortunately. We enjoyed every bit of our stay. keep up the good quality.

I only had 16 hours here on the way to the airport with 04:30 start (they supply a packed breakfast) I will stay much longer next time. The food was healthy and delicious, the Spa treatment of high quality. The swimming pool is of 100m!!! Quite incredible. The staff are helpful and discreet. An extremely well run property.

Just returned from a beautiful 3 day retreat at the resort organized by Revive Holistic Wellness. This retreat was exactly what I needed & my stay at the resort was absolutely beautiful & has a calming presence about it. The warmth of the staff & their hospitality made it so comfortable to sit around & relax anywhere in the property aside from the super comfortable guest rooms. Went for morning walks & spent hours in their gorgeous pool! Loved it so much! Thank you!

Fantastic experience at this high end hotel with two pools and a beautiful area overlooking the lagoon. The rooms here were really nice and spacious with beautiful outdoor bathrooms to enjoy the Sri Lanka vibe. They have poolside bar service and a beautiful food area overlooking the lagoon where you can sit and enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful—I only wish I could’ve stayed longer. It’s incredibly peaceful, with stunning rooms and a fantastic atmosphere. Dining by the lagoon at any time of day was such a serene and enjoyable experience. The food was delicious, and the swimming pool was excellent. The service was truly the best I’ve ever experienced, with staff going above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights before an organised trip and then returned for another stay after it ended. This is a wonderful property. Staff were exceptional, the rooms were amazing and the food was wonderful. It is sited in a quiet location but its easy to get into nearby Negombo by tuk tuk.

I did a week long wellness package with full board and it was perfect for my needs. Quiet, adults only, skilled Ayurveda chefs, doctors and masseuse, excellent swimmingpool. It's set on the lagoon and 20 or so mins by car to Negombo itself and not really near anything except beach and lagoon.

Rooms very nicely arranged, comfortable beds, good air conditioning, easy access to the pool. But some areas in the hotel is not properly maintained. The sofas in the front lobby is not dusted or vacuumed. The beach is wonderful, the view from the buffet is gorgeous. The taste of the food was good. I enjoyed everything I tried. However, the spread was a bit thin. For an example, we had only 1 soup option. The desserts spread can improve. But the taste of everything that was available was good. The service can improve in some areas, the staff were friendly and nice. However, when doing an event, better communication is required from the staff end. There was a small issue with the morning snacks but replacements were provided quickly by the staff. Another area of improvement is refilling empty items at the buffet. This took some time. Parking is available for about 10 vehicles.

Stayed at Goldi Sands Hotel for 8 days. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. They refilled and reuse glass bottles for our drinking water in our rooms. The bed was made everyday to perfection. The meals were delicious. Some dishes were a little salty but overall it was still good. Adding on top of that, the staff are friendly and accommodating. We requested for our breakfast to be packed in our own containers to take away for our trip to the city on Sunday, and they obliged even though it wasn't standard procedure. Thank you Mr.Joshua! The location is great. To the left of the hotel upon exiting are tea shops and a tailor that sews beautiful pants. To the right is a convenience store across the road. GSH definitely made my stay in Sri Lanka much more pleasant. Thank you!

Dated rooms and needed refurbish, shower was not good. Rest of hotel including restaurant, reception area, bar and pool areas were nice. We had dinner and breakfast there and food was good quality and reasonably priced. People on beach outside the hotel hassling to buy stuff was a pain and so didn’t want to use the beach chairs, nice way to end our Sri Lanka holiday.

I stayed at this hotel expecting a comfortable and pleasant experience, but unfortunately, the facilities and food quality did not match the amount I paid. Although the room was fairly clean, the water pressure was often low and the Wi-Fi connection was weak. The food was average, with limited variety and lacking in taste. The staff were friendly and polite, which was a positive aspect, but overall, the services and amenities provided were not worth the price. In general, it felt more like a basic accommodation rather than a quality hotel experience.

Beautiful beach resort on the coast. An amazing spread of local and some western foods. It comes highly recommended by Anthea GSA of ESNA for Australia. We had a superb stay at Goldi Sands Hotel on a corporate booking. The service and the food was commendable. We had an amazing stay at Pledge Scape! The rooms were modern with a beautiful dark-themed interior, and the bathroom design was truly unique — we loved the whole vibe. We booked the honeymoon suite with a private pool on the top floor, and the view was absolutely stunning! The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The food was delicious — even without a buffet, the quality and taste were spot on. The only downside was the parking situation, as we had to park outside near the beach instead of at the hotel itself. But overall, it didn’t take away from what was a memorable and relaxing experience. Highly recommend for couples looking for a stylish and romantic getaway! 💑✨

Directly on the beach, north of Colombo so very practical for your first night or two before starting a round trip in the north. Rooms are very large and clean. Stuff is incredibly attentive, was a solo traveler and they went out of their way with their service. Buffet Dinner on the roof terrace was outstanding, such a nice atmosphere there too. Would come back :)

This booking was made for my parents as part of my mum’s birthday weekend. The booking process was easy, and the team was helpful online when organising a cake for their arrival — which was a nice touch! This review is based on their personal experience: Check-in: Please ensure bookings are double-checked before addressing guests. My parents were mistakenly given another guest’s registration details. Service: The staff could be a bit more proactive in checking in on guests’ needs throughout the stay. Food: The food quality could definitely be improved. There wasn’t much variety — for example, the breakfast menu was quite basic and most dishes lacked flavour. It would’ve been nice to see some meat or seafood options. Aircon noise: The air conditioning was quite loud and made it hard to sleep. For a relaxing getaway, this is something that really needs attention. Overall, this hotel shows great potential, and I believe these issues can be easily improved. Thank you to the team for their efforts and service.

Absolutely Exceptional – My Go-To Hotel in Negombo! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was my second stay at Pledge Scape and it won’t be my last. This hotel truly has everything you could want for a relaxing and luxurious stay. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and the bed is incredibly comfortable. Waking up to stunning seafront views each morning is such a treat – the location is unbeatable, right on Porutota Rd, where there is everything you'd need! The bathroom is another highlight – large, clean, and modern with a fantastic shower. The hot water and water pressure is perfect, making it feel more like a spa than a hotel. I’ve stayed at several of the big-name hotels in Negombo, but Pledge Scape stands out above them all. From the quality of the rooms to the overall service and comfort, it’s simply the best I’ve experienced in the area. Highly, highly recommend this place – can’t wait to come back!

Came here for dinner (twice) and the food was amazing! Very filling and worth for the price. Definitely coming back here in the future. And the service was wonderful, everyone was so nice and helpful, 10/10.

Quite a disappointing start to our trip. Paid for and arranged/agreed airport pickup which didn’t arrive. Hotel refused to send someone to pick us up when we called. The hotel would not refund the original cost of the airport pick up or the additional airport pick up that we had to pay on the day (£30 in total). The hotel could only offer two draft beers as compensation (£6). Otherwise the hotel is fine.

I recommend this place. Big rooms and bathrooms, iron in the room. Floor was clean but not the tables (stains of some sticky juice). Nice restaurant and great lunch and dinner memu definitely worth to eat there. Swimming pool is nice however I did not feel comfortable to swim (close location to the beach with many local men and there is no privacy at the pool). Beach very dirty.

A perfect place to end (or start) your journey in Sri Lanka, definitely the most luxurious place we stayed in, nice to get cleaned up and relax at the end before getting on a flight! Unfortunately couldn't experience the restaurant as we'd been sick... But it looked good. The complimentary airport transfer is a nice bonus, thank you.

I had a wonderful stay at The Terrace Green Hotel in Negombo. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing — exactly what I needed after an intense trip through Nepal. The room was spotless, the jacuzzi on my terrace a real highlight, and the breakfast at the Salt Restaurant was delicious every morning. The staff are very polite and accommodating . Situated in a small laneway but walking distance to the beach . The cafe food serves amazing dishes and the coffee is worth waiting for . It’s srilanka , service takes time and the wait let’s one chill and take in the atmosphere. The Ayurvedic spa massage was heaven and the therapist was amazing. Loved the hot compress massage. A small hotel worth checking out . Will be my choice next time I’m there again .

We had a wonderful stay at Terrace Green. Good location, it's a 5 minute walk to the beachfront and about 30 minutes from the airport. Manodya and wathsala took care of us at reception and we're so welcoming. The whole staff team were fantastic and we felt well looked after. We also really enjoyed the Sri Lankan breakfast.

We had a great stay here for 2 nights. The hotel is convenient, very clean, with friendly staff. We had a great 1 hour full body massage for USD$30 each. It is good value for the money.

Had a fabulous experience at this spa with the wonderful Chathurika! I booked a facial and massage and spent two hours in absolute bliss. The facility is very nice, the booking process is easy and the service is amazing! I've already booked myself in for a second visit. Highly recommend to fellow travellers!

Great location, in walking distance to many restaurants and bars and the beach. It's also a very quiet place. Unfortunately, the bathroom isn't great as the drain for the shower is on the far side of the toilet, so you basically have a flooded bathroom after anyone showers, and you have to put towels on the floor. Not great at all. Can't understand why it's designed like this as it's very unpleasant

Stayed 2 nights in July. Highlights were the room, spa treatments and friendly service. Would stay again with close location to the airport. Great way to recover from a long overseas flight. And very affordable.

Late evening check in. Looked after well. Introduced to a beautiful room - sadly air con not working. Was changed to another room. Still lovely and air con worked. Tasty food. Friendly staff. Good massage. The hotel was clean. Negombo city could be a cleaner place to stay as it attracts so many tourists.

We had an amazing time at Ayur Ayur! The rooms are spacious and absolutely beautiful! We loved the balcony with a view of the pool and the palm trees. We stayed here for three nights in order to relax after our flight before we continued our travels in Sri Lanka and it was the perfect start! The staff is super friendly and helpful, they even picked us up at the airport at 3am! Ruben (I hope I’m writing the name right) from the reception answered sooo many of our questions concerning Sri Lankan food and culture. It was such a wonderful introduction to this beautiful country and its people! The garden and especially the pool are amazing! And it is close to the beach, so you can just walk there for a sunset view and dinner. We highly recommend staying here after or before your flight!

Really nice stay overall, especially if you want something peaceful at the start or end of your trip. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts (specifically Sri Lankan options) are good. If anything, a small issues the AC was working, but had some troubles in getting the room cool, but this was nothing that spoiled the stay.

Stayed here for two nights and was such a great stay. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The staff were amazing and even brought a cake out for me for my birthday which was so thoughtful. The breakfast was basic but good. The amazing cook made great eggs every morning. Could do with a better coffee and tea station but overall an enjoyable experience. Good location, short walk to the Main Street. Tried to book a massage before arriving via the website but got no response and when I arrived and enquired it was fully booked so maybe if booking a massage try and contact them not via the website enquiry. If you are looking for a “real” Panchakarma experience the Jetwing is not the right choice. Many guest just book for 2-3 days and there is a lot of check in and check out . The Yoga Shala was rented out to a retreat and couldn’t be used. The rooms are nice and it is not too noisy. In den End the medicine 💊 you get described is double as expensive as in a regular pharmacy 😬 On a side note: In my Room there was some money stolen. I did ask the manager to react but I didn’t receive an answer as today …. In total: it seems to be a very commercialized hotel. 🏨

Jetwing Ayurvedic Pavilions place is an absolute haven. Not only is the food healing, it’s so tasty and flavorful. The Ayurvedic treatments, even after a few days, restarted my entire systems, both the nervous and digestive. I couldn’t be happier with their services, from room service to reception. I was grieving a big loss during my stay and the staff accommodated me in every way, from bringing every meal to my room with enthusiasm to having a genuine smile in every corner, I feel a bit more healed than when I came. This is a place where you feel heard and can feel at home, even when far away from it. If you need a reset (which everyone does) I recommend you come here to feel yourself again.

It was our first time visiting Sri Lanka and experiencing an Ayurveda retreat, so we had a mix of excitement and a bit of nervousness before arriving. However, the warm hospitality of the hotel staff quickly put us at ease. Our flight was delayed, and we arrived at the hotel past 9 PM, feeling exhausted. But we were still able to enjoy a relaxing dinner. The meal they prepared for us was not only delicious but beautifully presented, and it truly touched us. During our stay, we were able to experience the benefits of Ayurveda efficiently, not only through the treatments and meals but also through the daily yoga classes held every morning and evening. The yoga sessions provided clear and careful guidance on basic Hatha yoga breathing techniques and asanas, allowing me to align and balance both my body and mind. Special thanks to the chef Mr.Sudesh and yoga teacher Ms. Thushari. Thanks to both of you and all the staff members each day we were able to nourish our body with gentle, delicious meals while also healing and calming our mind.

Beautiful hotel, very green and beautiful nature. Very professional , efficient and helpful staff. Excellent ayurvedic lady doctor, who examined me and prescribed the correct treatments. Excellent ayurveda treatments. The therapist was so good. Delicious veg. Food, so healthy and fresh. For my birthday they prepared several surprises, so attentive. I traveled on my own, but felt well accompanied as at home. Thank you for the excellent attention and hospitality. I can recommend this hotel 100%.

I recommend the resort with full confidence. I was there in January 2024 and will return. What did I like most? - Ayurveda is authentic. That was the main reason for me to choose the resort. Doctors and therapists are excellent and very caring. I experienced very positive effect. - Staff’s attitude and service are admirable. The management spreads the message that they exist to take care of the quests’ health. So you could imagine that every staff member has the same attitude. You could rearly find such an sincere care in Europe. - Despite the resort is a lovely organized so guests could relax and experience Ayurveda, food and its presentation is excellent, there are yoga practices every morning, lectures and the like… they also provide free access to beach areas of two other hotels of the same chain nearby. What could be improved? - Some minor adjustments to European culture and expectations could make the place even more comfortable. Management was open to feedback and I expect them to take measures. Well, this is not a luxury resort but Ayurveda one, have that in mind. The resort is close to Colombo airport which is also convenient. It is absolutely safe to walk around. Highly recommend.

Dolphin hotel has a atmosphere with friendly and hospitality. The staff were very helpful, kind and respect,specifically sewmini at the reception. Food was really delicious and the large spread buffet. Rooms are very spaceous ,clean and tidy. Pool and environment of the hotel is very clean. Great view. So I enjoyed lot of happiest in my day

I made a half board booking on September 27, 2025 through Agoda. We went to the hotel on 25th Oct, and presented the booking reference. We were in the lobby for about half an hour, so I went and asked if the room was ready? They said that this is a BB reservation, not a half board reservation, so they asked us to pay for dinner again. But even though the booking confirmation email sent to me from Agoda clearly stated that dinner was included, they charged us for dinner and also charged my son, who is not yet 3 years old, for the meal and asked us to pay. After proving that he was not yet 3 years old, the charge for his meal was withdrawn, but we had to pay again for the dinner we had paid for. So we paid extra (43USD, LKR 13,000/). The hotel staff was not helpful. Didn't try to find out and sought out the problem. Didn't try to find out what was wrong. We had to call here and there and waste our time. But I must say the restaurant staff does a good job. The food was good. I do not recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful weekend stay with our whole family, the whole staff made sure that everything was pleasant and convenient for all of us. They did all they could for our grandmother to have a wheelchair for the weekend, without which she probably wouldn’t have enjoyed as much. We were especially touched by the warm welcome and help provided by guest relations Naduni, her trainee Shahmin and the other trainee (of which we didnt get the name, unfortunately) that had checked us in. We highly recommend this place !

The hotel was perfect for our stay, the food was amazing and it had a great spread, for all 3 breakfast, lunch and dinner meals. We celebrated our baby’s 2nd Birthday and we got a complimentary cake as well. Romesha was really helpful for us during the stay. The time spent here was amazing. Would definitely visit again.

I booked this hotel on a half-board basis, and the place is beautiful. I chose a standard room with a pool view the view was nice, but the room had some dust. The TV was not working, and although I called for maintenance, it wasn’t fixed. For two guests, only 1.5L of water was provided, and we had to pay for additional water. The staff were very friendly and always spoke with a smile, which made the stay pleasant. The buffet food was tasty, with a good variety of dishes to choose from. The overall atmosphere was lovely and relaxing. However, room cleanliness and infrastructure need some improvement.

I visited Amagi Aria Negombo for a company day out, and overall the experience was decent. The buffet had a good variety, but most dishes were only okay at best. However, the dessert section really stood out. Everything tasted great and the Halloween-themed treats were a fun touch. The room was comfortable, but the AC was quite noisy and didn’t cool the room enough, which was disappointing. With a few improvements, it could be a much better stay.

This place was amazing. You can really feel the lagoon breeze coming. When it comes to food, it hits the spot. The staff were really good though. Thanks to Keshani and other staff members we had a great experience inside the hotel. I recommend this for family gatherings also for couples.

I had mixed experiences during my stay at Amagi Aria Negombo. The location was stunning, with breathtaking sunset views over the lagoon that I'll never forget. ❤️ However, the food was disappointing, with limited buffet options and same dishes for lunch and dinner. The service was also slow, likely due to understaffing. Room cleanliness was average, scoring 6/10. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel for its location and views, but improvements are needed in food, service, and housekeeping. 3/5 stars.

The hotel staff are amazing! They take care of you very well. This is my first time staying at the hotel. I was here for two nights. Praveen went above and beyond. When I was in a rush for a meeting, I asked for iron, I thought I would get it but Praveen showed up and was willing to iron my shirt and pants for me. He did it very nicely that I asked for it again the next day. He’s amazing and friendly, all the staff are friendly and always smiling so rest assured you will be taken care of. I also want to give a special shout out to Jude Fernando, the executive chef. His food is one of the best I must say! From chicken curry to omelette, to other western cuisine he can make it. I told him on my last day that I come to Sri Lanka often but I have devil dry fish all the time in Chilaw, and I miss it. So he said to come by and he will make it for me before I leave and guess what he came through and it was delicious l. I will come back again!!

We stayed Amagi Aria Hotel 5th to 7th and it was wonderful experience. The food was absolutely amazing and chefs truly has magical hands to make that much tasty foods. Thank you very much chef for your kind words and follow up. F&B Team amazing and thy are very friendly. We stayed in a family room and house keeping up to standard. House keeping manger and team following up with us the Room condition and all. It’s good and Thank you very much. Our Kids really enjoyed the pool and overall it’s memorable stay for us. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for tasty foods and amazing hospitality by a amazing team.

Great accommodation. Really pleasant and friendly staff. Apartment was great, although the air conditioning units are a little noisy and the balconies a little small, but otherwise very well equipped, clean and very comfortable. Access straight onto the beach and short walk to restaurants, bars and some small supermarkets. Two wine shops close by as well 👍

I highly recommend this place. The service is excellent, the staff are polite and cheerful. We arrived early, ahead of schedule, and the staff quickly checked us in. I was impressed. We stayed here 2 nights - will break it down - Pros- Good price at US 50 per night on agoda Friendly staff Large clean room with 2 air cons Kitchenette with fridge Cons - 0 vibe - absolutely 0. No vacation feel No pool bar or any restaurant on site so no food No smart TV in room, No gym - there are 2 machines which don't work, no AC in gym area, and 2 dumbells available of 12.5kg. No reception after 7 pm. Front desk deserted.

Wonderful apartment we have a large 2 bedrooms ensuit in each. Kitchen/ microwave/ fridge freezer/ washing machine. All facilities are clean & tidy, swimming pool facing the beautiful beach. 5 mins Walking distance to shops a wide variety restaurants, massage. Tuk tuk to local markets. Perfect family stay with amazing amenities and beach access! We had a wonderful stay at The Beach Apartment in a spacious two-bedroom family apartment. The apartment was well-equipped, featuring a washing machine, pantry, microwave, TV, and a cozy living area with a small balcony. Both the rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable, which made our stay truly relaxing. The pool area was fantastic with a good depth for swimming, and there’s even a public gym area, which was a nice bonus. The beachfront location offers stunning sunset views – a great way to end each day! The staff was polite and attentive, and the security person was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for families looking for a comfortable, beachfront getaway!

We had an incredible stay at Beach Apartments in Negombo! The hotel offers everything you could ask for. The pool is stunning and the perfect place to relax, especially since they allow you to use it even after checking out while waiting for your flight. The apartments are extremely well-maintained, featuring a fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine, a nice shower, and a super comfy bed. It felt like a home away from home. The staff and receptionists are genuinely kind and accommodating, making the experience even more delightful. Another highlight is the free, safe parking, which adds to the convenience. Overall, this is truly the best place to stay in the area. It’s a fantastic value for money, combining comfort, amenities, and excellent service. Highly recommend!

Great property but felt like it was rundown and not maintained well due to maybe less occupation. The staff were super friendly and helpful and addressed our requirements then and there. Their welcome drinks are one of a kind. Tasted so good. The suite was cleaned well and the view was pleasantly calm. We didn’t use the amenities as we had our own. The bathroom towels were very old and were half yellow however they replaced them with newer ones as soon as we requested. The Restaurant had fine dining. The portions were good and the food was nice. Anju from the restaurant was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was delayed even if they took our order the night before. The napkins and cutlery was not sent along with the food. The water park and the pool was well maintained and the kids loved it. We didn’t have time to go to the beach. It’s a beautiful property which needs a bit more attention on the maintenance. I am sure the place must be cheerful during busier times.

We used Watura for our annual company retreat with families at the end of July 2025. As our company has a policy to only use 5-star graded hotels for retreat activities, and also since no one had been to this place, we thought it would be a great pick for the trip this year! I’ll put the positives first and then mention several issues personally and my family faced as feedback. Positives: Great location between the river and the sea. Most of the staff were friendly and tried their best to serve the best with limited resources. The spa treatment we got was great, kudos to the staff. Allowed to check out late, as our spa treatment was at a late time. The water activity area for the kids was pretty awesome. If you and kids love water stuff, this is great. Spacious and big rooms with high roofs. The bar staff were very helpful in providing the team with facilities to have a very late sing-along session. Negatives: This property doesn’t have an elevator. It was a very young guy (17 years at that time when asked), who had to carry two of our bags, of which one was quite heavy. We were upset about his plight and offered to take it or support him, but he politely refused and managed. No buffet! Even though it was a big company team with families, they refused to accommodate buffets at any meal of the day. Therefore, we had issues finding something to give to our kid. Starters/ bread were mundane in every meal and were not freshly baked. Most of the other ala-carte food was also not great. The towels we had in the rooms had holes! See the attached images. This was a first for my family in any level hotel in Sri Lanka, leaving aside a place supposedly proclaimed as 5-star. We noticed a very weird thing happened on the same day we checked in. We went out for our boat ride and returned to the room around 6 PM. When we opened the door, there were 3 room guys (young ones as I mentioned above) doing some things under dim light in the bathroom. We never expected (nor asked) any room service on the very day we checked in! Come on, what more would you need after 4 hours of your check-in? The room should be fully turned around properly! All our clothes and accessories were at large and we felt very awkward, and we demanded that they leave. When they left, we found they had even folded and kept my wife’s and kid’s (a girl) underwear, which made us very awkward about the privacy and very uncalled for. I complained about this to the front office, who first denied any error by saying that since it’s a boutique-like hotel, they do frequent room services, and later had to accept the grave errors, saying she will look into this. Apparently, it turned out that the room was not properly turned around for us when we checked in, although the living areas were tidied and those boys had come to continue the rest, including refilling of the toiletries, and again they failed this time also by focusing on folding the underwear! It was a case of a lack of training for these young staff and the fact that they were too amateur. The in-room telephone stopped working on the second day, and I had to take external calls from my mobile to landline of the hotel for everything!! One of the room guys seems to either have some disorder or is severely out of proper hospitality training, as he doesn’t know how to smile or greet. His emotions show as he is angry because of us (guests) coming to his hotel. It was a bit shocking to me at first time I met him on the way, which was very unlike any staff member of any hotel we had been to. When we reported that the in-room telephone was not working, apparently he had come with a screwdriver, and my wife got really scared (I was out of the room at that time) as he almost looked like he could stab her with that anytime! You have a great property with a natural location, but it seems it has been let go down with only routine operations, with no spark in training or upliftment of standards. And certainly, this is not a 5-star hotel, maybe around 3 stars, really!!

Excellent place to stay if you want somewhere near the airport but away from the busy crowds, especially if you have young kids (the water park and pool are brilliant). The food was 'fine dining' standard but also they were wiling to make practically anything for our kids (chips /burger/pizza/etc). Be aware there is not much within walking distance other than the neighbouring hotels, so food/drink could get expensive if not included in your room rate. Some areas of the hotel/room need a bit of maintenance/fresh paint but otherwise it's a luxurious stay with great views of sea / river / nature.

A hidden gem in Negombo. This property gives a calm and relax environment. The rooms are spacious for s family with a baby. Outdoor veranda with view of river and beach on the other side, what else you can ask for? ☺️ They also have a kids waterpark which we enjoyed most. The food was delicious with all course menu. Selection of food and quality of ingredients was visible. The desserts you cant miss- plated desserts with a michelin star experience 😇 Special thanks to GM Mr Sujeewa for setting up and running with s personalized service. Dining service and room service by Pasindu was exceptional service and a Sri Lankan smile. We are definitely visiting again and recommend to friends. This place is worth spending more than just two nights💕

Absolutely perfect and for us one of the best accommodations in this location and in Sri Lanka. professional but at the same time very friendly staff. The food, had no single fault. The river one side, the sea the other, it's a beautiful location. Staff are great, especially Anju and Pasindu. Food is very nice. Rooms are lovely.

The hotel was very nice, especially for the price. It was a great lobby and lounge area. The restaurant was good, though we ate dinner and next day lunch a la cart and it wasn’t consistent. The breakfast buffet was very nice. Good variety of foods, both local and international, and some unique things that buffets don’t have often. We were there while they were doing some construction so that was unfortunate when we tried to relax at lunch there was loud noises from that, but I appreciate they are trying to keep the place well maintained anyway. The rooms were comfortable. We needed a triple room, and they tried to make us get 2 separate rooms, but we didn’t relent as it’s 2 small kids and 2 adults, so surprise surprise they had the ability to make a triple room! The hotel is right on the beach but it was unfortunately too rough to swim. It was so rough actually you couldn’t even jump the waves at knee deep, even that was too rough. There is a fish market just next door and all the sail boats so that’s fun to see in the morning. They have 2 pools, one on each side of the hotel which is nice, we didn’t have to go far! The particular area of negumbo isn’t so nice, decent restaurants were about a 10-15 minute walk. Overall great time!

This was my fourth visit to Jetwing Sea and my first after the recent renovation — and I must say, the improvements are truly impressive! The property looks fresh, elegant, and even more inviting than before, while still maintaining the warm and welcoming charm that Jetwing is known for. Their friendliness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality were exceptional — every team member we encountered went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Handy for the airport. Made the perfect start and finish to our Holiday. The pools are lovely and well looked after with rooms overlooking them as well as the beach. The surrounding area is a little rough and read but we found some bars with sand between our toes. The food at the hotel was great as was the service.

Stayed five days. Very luxurious room with woderful room service with supportive staff. Location is really nice. Unfortunately restaurant management is at a worst stage with very poor service. Swimming pool also not prefectly maintenaned, but it is at a slughtly fair condition.

Amazing hotel! Everyone is so friendly and kind. The views are just amazing! We did the channel and river cruise with the hotel and it was just unbelievable. Definitely recommend to see some beautiful views, birds and water monitors. Our tour guide was really friendly and taught us a lot. Thank you!!

We had a great stay, right from the fantastic welcome. Booked three rooms, all of which were lovely. Two lovely pools with beautiful views of the sea. We had an early dinner and all five of us loved it (although we couldn't quite finish it all as portions were so generous)

We stayed one night at Jetwing Blue and had a lovely experience overall. The room was spacious, clean, and came with a bathtub in the washroom a nice touch that made our stay more relaxing. We especially loved the ocean view from the balcony. The service was good, We tried both the dinner buffet and the breakfast buffet. While the breakfast buffet tasted slightly better, the variety was limited. I expected more seafood options at a beach resort, and the dinner buffet flavors were not quite up to the mark. The highlight for us was the beautiful golden sand beach right in front of the property clean, wide, and perfect for a stroll. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay, and we really enjoyed the room and beach atmosphere. With some improvements in the buffet variety and seafood dishes, this could easily be a 5-star experience.

Went for a weekend getaway at Jetwing Blue (half board) and absolutely loved it! One of the best staff teams we’ve come across so friendly nd genuinely helpful throughout our stay. The view was amazing, and the place is quite spacious. We got a family room, which was large and comfortable. The pool area was beautiful and very well maintained, and the washrooms were nice and clean. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style with a good variety of tasty options. Def worth the money. Even though the property was built quite some time ago and could use a few renovations here and there, it’s nothing that affects the experience. The charm and excellent service from the staff truly make up for it. Overall, a 5/5 stay. full credit to the amazing staff at Jetwing Blue!

Excellent Hospitality! Every aspect of the hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff was amazing and very attentive. Food was delicious. A special appreciation goes to Ureka - “The Kitchen Restaurant” for going an extra mile to make our 17 months old toddler feeling comfortable at dining and serving her baby friendly food. Thank you to everyone for providing us a lovely stay. We will surely come back again!

Stayed here for three days and really enjoyed it. The location is perfect, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. Service throughout the stay was excellent. The only thing that could be improved is the restaurant pricing, the menu mentions a 10% service charge, but the final bill adds 10% plus 23% in taxes, which isn’t clearly advertised.

The hotel is very hot, the air conditioning in the room barely works, and without the additional fan it would be unbearable. We saw two lizards in the room. The key card for the room didn’t work, and we waited an hour for someone to bring us a regular key. The food in the hotel restaurant is nice, but the portions in the à la carte restaurant are really small. The pools and the beach are great. The price of the accommodation is high for the level of service they provide.

Unfortunately, my stay was below expectations. The cleanliness was very poor — even the bathrooms were not clean. There were no basic personal amenities such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, or disposable slippers. The dishes and glasses were not properly washed, and the cutlery was old and worn out. The staff were not friendly and made little effort to solve any issues, unlike other hotels that go the extra mile for their guests. Overall, I didn’t like the hotel and would not stay here again. I am very angry from this issue

I’ve been trying to get rates for a reservation for the past three days. I was invited to a WhatsApp chat and have attempted to contact this number multiple times, only to find out later that the person handling reservations was on leave. I called again the following day, only to be told that the triple room accommodates a maximum of three guests. I’ve essentially spent three days waiting for information that could have been provided upfront. If this is the level of service before making a reservation, I’m concerned about what it might be like afterward.

Friendly helpful staff with fantastic selection of quality food at the buffet. Rooms rather tired, curtains were falling apart. Location was convenient to the beach however on a busy road.

I didn't stay a night in the hotel, but my family (three kids and two adults) stopped in for a few hours for lunch and a swim in the pool before heading to the airport. They could not have been more welcoming. They are amazing. We actually tried a place called Jetwing Blue before which was five times the price (literally) , not massively friendly, didn't really want us there. So instead we went to Camelot on the recommendation of some of the staff from Jetwing actually. And it was brilliant. They're really, really nice, gave us a great couple of sun loungers by the pool, really good food, possibly some of the best food we've had actually in Sri Lanka, and then helped us sort out transport to the airport. So five stars. Thanks guys.

Worst hotel experience in a long time: Over 1 hour waiting in reception for room (the hotel is virtually empty); outlets don’t work; room key doesn’t work; everything is dusty and dirty; they gave me probably the worst room in the hotel overlooking a noisy street (even though the hotel is on the beach and there are so many empty rooms); WiFi is terrible. I paid $17 last night at a budget hotel that was far superior. Don’t waste your money.

Had a dayout recently. Very friendly staff. Nicely maintained hotel premises. Location is also attractive. Fairly good buffet with many choices. There are 2 swimming pools and they catch your attention.

Regenta is a well maintained seaside hotel with spacious clean rooms ,they hav 2 swimming pools, lagoon view rooms, large reception hall and a spa. We stayed on FB basis and all meals were superb including desserts. hotel staff is polite and supportive and the property has serene surrounding. very impressed with the hotel.

Stayed here for one night full board basis. I went with my family and some relatives. We had a nice time. Has some nice views. Family rooms are very spacious and have all the amenities needed. Whole property is very clean and well maintained. There are two pools. And near the large pool they have a bar. That pool is facing the Negombo bay so its nice. Food was amazing. We loved all three buffets. A nice place to spend some free time with family and relatives. Highly recommend!

Close to the airport, we rented a room for a day whilst we were waiting for our flight in the evening. Access to a great swimming pool. The food at their restaurant is very good. Excellent service. An excellent place to stay in Negombo.

Lovely pool for the kids and nice food. Rooms were clean and the views were very nice. The only negative was that the open space lent itself to a lot of noise from inconsiderate guests blaring music into the night. The staff should clamp down on this to ensure all guests can enjoy rather than just the noisy ones.

Amazing facilities, the pool and views from the east end were incredible. the buffet was a mix of traditional and western food, absolutely delicious. The staff were all extremely efficient and friendly.

I recently stayed at Regenta Arie Lagoon and was really impressed by the calm and scenic setting. The lagoon view from the pool area was absolutely beautiful, especially during sunset. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a modern bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay—special thanks to Kelum Kumara. Breakfast had a nice variety, and the overall ambiance was relaxing. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet retreat close to the airport.

We stayed in the family room with a balcony facing the road. The room wasn’t luxurious, but it was spacious and comfortable. The washroom was clean, had hot water, though the water pressure was a little low. Breakfast buffet was nice. Lunch was also good, but limited variety. The pool was clean. The hotel has direct access to the beach. Overall, it was a good experience.

I stayed at this hotel in Negombo last weekend with my family, and it was a really nice experience. The location is superb, close to everything and very peaceful. We stayed for one night with bed and breakfast. The breakfast buffet had an average variety, but the food tasted good. The staff were very kind, helpful, and friendly throughout our stay. It was raining the whole day during our visit, but even with the weather, the hotel felt cozy and relaxing. Overall, a pleasant stay — I’d happily visit again!

I'm not sure how the other reviews got a five-star rating because I had a terrible experience. I spent four nights at the hotel, and during the first two nights, construction was on until late at night with a lot of banging and drilling. I protested on the third night, and it stopped. Two days out of four, I couldn't turn the air conditioner on or off, and the phone was merely there for cosmetic purposes. None of the plug connections in the room were functional. I only ate one chilly, unappetizing-looking breakfast. I ordered extra food from room service, but what I received did not meet my expectations.The doors' locks are undoubtedly broken; in order to open or lock them, one must continuously tug. Depending on one's expectations, the bathroom is decent. Definitely not to my standards

The structure seemed poorly maintained, with visible rust in several areas. We asked for the small table in front of our room to be cleaned, as it had dirty dishes and food remains from another guest’s breakfast, but unfortunately it was not done during our three-day stay. A higher level of cleanliness would be expected

The room (127) was just fine and right overlooking the beach. The staff were very helpful and the area ok with not much about within walking distance. The downside was that the room reeked of stale tobacco. The deodorant did not help. Why hotels do hotels still allow smoking? So if the smell of cigarettes is an issue to you, maybe consider your options

The hotel is not in as good a condition as expected. The food buffet is not enough. There was no pork, beef, seafood. We ordered cakes and patties for afternoon tea. There are better tasting and prettier ones on Negombo Beach Road.Very disappointed.

My family and I had a delightful stay at Golden Star Beach Hotel in February 2025. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. The staff is very attentive and the service is wonderful. The rooms are large and spacious, overlooking the beautiful hotel pool. The hotel is also a stone's throw away from the beach, we had wonderful dusk walks along the beach. Donald and his team went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend Golden Star Beach Hotel :)

Dickmans is an excellent small resort most suited to LGBT guests and like minded people. The rooms, pool and ground are very well presented. The service is outstanding. The resort is a short distance from good restaurants and the beach. Breakfast each morning is served in the garden and lunch and dinner are available if required.

My second time staying here and I'm already looking forward to coming back! Dick and team are always a delight. The accomodations and property are just lovely, with gorgeously appointed rooms, a spacious pool, absolutely delicious breakfast, and a wonderfully chill vibe. Thanks again for a fantastic stay. 🙏

Wow, I simply cannot recommend this anymore. For the first time in my life - I felt comfortable enough to just sit by the pool and do absolutely sweet FA for three whole days. It was magical. The staff are absolutely brilliant and kind and wonderful and if you lay at the pool long enough bring you juice and cake on the house! Oh yeah, the fruit plate by the pool everyday is life affirming. 24hr entry, 24hr bar a HUGE pool which is nice and deep, massive rooms, massive ultra comfy bed. Dickmans is the Oasis in the mirage. Ps, they have two adorable tortoises.

Best place we stayed on our 3 week Sri Lanka journey. As other reviews state, the feeling of being in a welcoming “home” is so lovely- the staff are kind, helpful and delightful and the attention to detail is second to none. Loved the pet tortoises SO much. The pool is delicious. Miss you already, Dickman Resort! See you next time :)

Great boutique hotel in Negombo. Our best experience in Sri Lanka. Stayed in beautiful Mango Suite, luxury bed, rain shower en suite, all toiletries, towels and endless hot water. The guys that work here are a delight, genuinely friendly and super attentive. Great food, Great ambience. 100% recommend

The staff is beyond exceptional, the breakfast is incredible, and the Room is immaculate (try for the Aqua Room - there’s a tree in the bathroom). They also have a great pool, 24 hour bar service, and is about a 4 minute walk to the beach. Several restaurant options are at the ready as well. You absolutely can not go wrong with this place. Do yourself a favor and book a room immediately …above 5 starts !!!

How anyone could ever score this place under 5 stars is crazy to me. I have worked in the hotel industry in Copenhagen for around 10 years and I am so impressed by this place. Stayed here for the last 5 nights of our 4-month Asia trip and could not have had a better time!!! The staff is some of the most attentive and genuine people I have met. The owner should be very proud of his team - not one person wasn't amazing :-) Worth mentioning, other than the amazing staff: - Room was big and was very quiet - Pool area is fantastic, the pool is always clean and the staff will bring you anything you might need - Breakfast is super tasty (we had the Sri Lankan breakfast) and you can have it up until 12, which we appreciated alot Thank you SO much to all staff at Dickman Resort! I recently stayed at New Queens Palace Hotel in Negombo, and while the location and staff were amazing, the payment process was a nightmare. The hotel is perfectly located—close to the beach, restaurants. The two ladies who assisted us were incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel very welcome. However, during checkout, the card payment process went wrong. The payment was deducted from my account, but the hotel’s system showed it as canceled. Despite showing proof of payment, we were made to feel like we hadn’t paid. I had to call my bank, revoke the payment, and do a bank transfer—all while receiving repeated calls from the hotel. It was stressful and inconvenient. I recommend the hotel clarifies its payment policy or trains staff on handling card transactions better. While the stay was enjoyable overall, this issue left a bad impression.

Very clean and comfortable hotel with large rooms, air conditioning and a small fridge which in the hot weather comes very handy. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. They got us red bananas to try and arranged for breakfast to take away when we had an early flight. Hotel is close to the beach, shops are restaurants and you have a supermarket and bakery close by. I would recommend the hotel.

Had a very nice 3 night stay here! A great location close to a loft of restaurants and shops. The room was spacious and very clean with a big, comfortable bed. The staff are very nice and were very accommodating for our dietary requirements for breakfast which was great on all 3 mornings.

We checked in late at night, staff was waiting for us on arrival with big smile. We were shown to our room and left to sleep as we were very tired. We completed our check in the following morning. Room was spacious, clean, cool and comfortable. Breakfast was simple but amazing! Fruit smoothie, coffee, toast, jam, eggs, yougart and bananas were seved to our table. Staff couldn't do enough to ensure you have a comfortable stay and will help you with recommendations for bike hire or any other advice. We will be returning at the end of our trip. I recently stayed at Hotel Beach Corridor in Negombo and had a mixed experience overall. The staff were absolutely lovely — very friendly, helpful, pleasant, and polite throughout our stay. Their warm hospitality really stood out and made us feel welcome. As for the hotel itself, it was average. One of the main issues is the lack of a lift, which makes it inconvenient for guests with mobility issues or heavy luggage, as rooms are located on the upper floors. Additionally, the rooms could benefit from better ventilation, particularly in the washrooms, which felt quite stuffy. The breakfast and lunch menu was quite limited, which was a bit disappointing if you’re staying more than a night or two. However, the seafood was absolutely exceptional — fresh, flavorful, and clearly the highlight of the hotel’s restaurant. I would highly recommend trying it, even if you’re not staying at the hotel. The shower facilities also need considerable improvement, both in terms of design and cleanliness. It’s an area that could really enhance the overall comfort if upgraded. Overall, the hotel has potential, thanks to its incredible staff and standout seafood, but it could use some key improvements in infrastructure and amenities.

I had a wonderful stay at Beach Corridor Hotel in Negombo. The hotel is in a great location, close to the city, and offers spacious rooms with terraces and large bathrooms. Everything was kept spotless with daily cleaning. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. A special thank you to the hotel manager and the team who went above and beyond by organizing breakfast for us at 4:30 AM before our departure to the airport—this was truly a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. The food at the hotel was excellent, with a special seafood menu that was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this hotel and its amazing team to anyone visiting Negombo. Nice hotel, stayed here while on last night in Sri Lanka waiting to fly out. Great places to eat close by. Friendly staff, great drinks made by the bar staff downstairs. Pool was closed for the first day we were there and the pool ladder was broken, plus the outdoor shower at the pool wasn't working, the pool was available on the day we checked out and is quite nice.

GM has wellorganised with his staff for a smooth check in. Food in seafood restaurant is delious. Housekeeping service is upto the standard.will definetely return Thanks to the GM and his team.

Very very happy with my stay in this beautiful Hotel. The rooms are very big, clean and well equipped. But especially, the staff is incredebly kind and helpful. I like to mention Dilip, Eranga, Nileka and the managers Don Upali as well as Ajith Karunaratne. They arranged the best stay possible for me. Also, the hotel itself is modern, well located, with a view on the ocean and has a clean swimming pool. Will definitely choose this hotel again anytime.

We recently visited Morning Star resort our experience was so good🫶🏻 From the start to end it was very lovely experience for me and my friends. I highly recommend the day out package even it doesn’t come with room and changing room facilities (you can request a room with additional payment) food is really tasty and yummy and all other facilities we got were top🙌🏻 Area is quite small but manageable. The road lead to resort is quite small I don’t think big vehicles can go there it’s little bit narrow. You have to walk few meters to sea since this resort is located in other side of the road. One of the best lovely staff I met there very helpful for customers 🥰

Our recent stay at Blue Elephant Hotel was unfortunately one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve had. We opted for the full board package (FB), expecting a comfortable and enjoyable stay, but it turned out to be a poor value for the money spent. To begin with, the hotel offers a fixed menu with very limited variety – only three meal options were available. What made it worse was that both lunch and dinner menus were nearly identical, leaving no room for culinary excitement. The food lacked flavor and quality, and overall did not justify the price charged. The room we stayed in was also underwhelming. It lacked the comfort and amenities one would expect at this price point. Adding to the disappointment, the hotel is located in a congested area, surrounded by residential houses, which took away from the sense of privacy and relaxation we were hoping for. There’s also very limited space within the property, making it feel more like a guest house than a hotel. Customer service was another major letdown. There was no proper communication system available to contact the reception from the room – something that should be a basic feature in any hotel. The staff seemed untrained and were not particularly attentive or welcoming, which further affected our overall impression. Given all of the above, we wouldn’t recommend Blue Elephant Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and worthwhile stay. There are certainly better options available that offer far greater value, better service, and a more satisfying experience overall.

My family and I stayed at the Blue elephant hotel for 3 nights towards the end of our trip to Sri Lanka. The staff were incredibly attentive, both within the hotel and at their private restaurant and bar. As a British Sri Lankan, I am always looking for traditional local food and Prasad the chef delivered, with an incredible array of food including a traditional authentic chicken curry along with a crab curry that I highly recommend. Sidath, the restaurant manager also organised for my son and I to go and experience buying fresh crabs from a local fisherman and then arranged for them to be cooked at the hotel restaurant, showing their incredible hospitality and flexibility. Our family room was very spacious, clean and tidy. The decor across the hotel was stunning from top to bottom, with many hand painted decor which were pleasant to look at. I’d highly recommend both the Blue Elephant hotel and the Tusk restaurant, we wished we had stayed for longer. To add, all the staff were available to cater for any of our needs, from front of desk to general assistants. A big thank you to the team, we will be returning with a large group in two years.

We spent two wonderful days at this charming boutique and absolutely loved it. The place had the most amazing aroma that made it feel instantly welcoming. The food was a highlight especially the Sri Lankan style crab curry with coconut sambol, kurakkan pittu, and even the toast bread was spot on! But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the service genuinely superb. Highly recommend. Our friend brought us to this hotel as a welcome to Sri Lanka surprise. We were wonderfully surprised. At the time of our visit the hotel was under renovation, so there weren’t many other guests around, but the location was stunning and would serve as a beautiful venue for weddings and other events. The room was newly renovated, with beautiful decor, clean with AC, and a lot of natural sunlight. The bathroom was so cool, the shower was shooting jets from everywhere, it felt like a massage and a shower at the same time. ☀️ Our room faced the lagoon, it was just amazing to wake up to these beautiful waves. 🌊 The breakfast in the room this morning was delicious, the meat quality was amazing, the pasties were delicious, fruit juice, just literally everything was perfect. Even the fruits were amazing. 🍎🍍🍉🍏🍈 I had the Thai Chicken Salad for dinner, just amazing no complaints. The service was good, there was always someone there to help us, whether to bring us food or to help us with our bags. The general atmosphere of the hotel felt luxurious, it was giving Cinderella castle. 🏰 We felt absolutely spoiled after a night here, thanks so much Grandeeza! 🥰

That said, the service was excellent staff were attentive, courteous, and made sure guests felt comfortable throughout the event. If Grandeeza enhances its buffet offerings, it could easily become one of the top event destinations in the area.

It’s popular for weddings, receptions, and large functions due to its spacious halls and beautiful setting by the lagoon. The outdoor area and architecture look elegant, and many people choose it for special occasions. There's also a seafood restaurant with nice views, especially in the evening. A good choice for events or a calm dining experience near Colombo.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel J in Negombo. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. The food was delicious, and the hotel’s location was perfect ,just a short walk to the beach, which we really enjoyed. It was also convenient for walking around and experiencing the local vibe of Negombo. During our stay, we also visited St. Mary’s Church nearby, which was a lovely cultural experience. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay, and we’d happily come back again!

Stayed for my first night in Sri Lanka and it was great! I had the basic room, and it had everything I needed, very clean and comfortable. I had both dinner and breakfast, and they were delicious. We gone there for family vacation. Affordable price rooms, comfortable, and great staff. The swimming pool close at 7:00pm. There are a lot of great restaurants around the hotel, and hotel has their own restaurants too.

EXCELLENT!!!! Because we missed our flight, we book this hotel. We arrived at 23.30, stressed and hungry. They help us to order food with pick me because their restaurant was closed, but food didnt came. So the staff opened the kitchen and he make delicious spring rolls and french Fries. DELICIOUS!!! The service is zo nice, Kindly, really amazing. The room nice and clean. I can only give 5 *, but they deserve 10*.

Stayed at Ziegler Cottage in Negombo 9 years back. As I was browsing through my Google photos, memories popped up and I had to write this review. Loved this super homely place with Han (the owner) himself taking care of everything. The family built the place with lots of love and care. The best part of the cottage is the backyard, step out and you are right at the sea! Watching the sunset from there was just magical, with the waves so close I could touch them at ease. Spent a 30 minutes at the beach on the bench that stayed with me forever.

This will be one the best stay in my recent years. This place is surrounded by beautiful smiling people and beautiful location. I feel like no need to go anywhere else, just a perfect place to relax and enjoy the delicious food. The best.. we went on a work and fortunately found this beautiful place to stay. We checked in on 5th July for one night and booked two rooms, including a double room. I stayed in a rooftop room with one of my closest friends — it was the best part of the hotel! The rooftop area had a private-feeling shared balcony that was perfect for relaxing. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and memorable. However, the rooftop rooms seem ideal for couples or two people, not really suitable when booking multiple rooms for families or groups. Also, the extra bed provided for my daughter was uncomfortable — she couldn’t sleep on it and had to share our bed. Still, we had a good experience and would recommend the hotel, especially for couples looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway.

The rooms have an incredible view and are very comfortable. We stayed in two different occasions there and were happy both times. Small improvement could be the water strength of the shower in the president room. The owner and the service are incredible! The location is more remote which we enjoyed a lot as Negombo can be very busy and dusty.

Food is very good, rooms are very comfortable and excellent wine list that shows a variety of choice we hadn’t seen throughout the rest of Sri Lanka (not a criticism, the country is amazing, it was just a nice surprise). Special recognition should go to Ashoka who provided us with amazing service, truly first class. He’s a lovely man as well. Thank you, Belmont Boutique. We were sad to leave.

I stayed here for two nights on my way to Australia and I wish that i had stayed longer. There is a sense of tranquility and Zen nestled among a gorgeous courtyard meters from a stunning beach. The beach was not crowded at all and the water was stunning. Food was absolutely delicious and not expensive at all. I was surprised by how large the rooms were and incredibly clean. The staff were very helpful, kind and accommodating. I wish i stayed another few days and cut my Australia trip shorter but I will definitely be returning!

We had been to Sri lanka in Dec 2023 during Christmas & this was our 1st hotel in there. I am too late to post this, but better to be late than never. This hotel is at a decent location, shops, beaches are nearby. The Staffs were welcoming, hospitality was on point. We were greeted nicely & served welcome drink the moment we entered, the room was super cozy with a great pool & balcony view, giving us the homely vibe. Never felt we were in a different country. The breakfast served was amazing. Overall we Had a great stay here & a memorable experience. Thank you Belmont for making our trip this memorable. 😊

We stayed here for 2 nights (one of which was a late night post flight check in). The Belmont is in a great location, just a street back from the hustle and bustle, so it easy to walk everywhere but also quiet because of its location. The rooms are large, comfortable with a great bathroom/shower. The hotel off a free airport transfer which was seemless! The outdoor pool was amazing! Perfect for a dip any time of the day. Overall a great hotel for a short stay in Negombo!

Do NOT stay here if you value your life. They shut the electricity off at 4:30 AM and didn't turn it on again until 7:15 AM. I had to meet my tour guide downstairs at 8:30. Because the elevators were out, I tried to walk down these stairs. They are littered with trash. Then I was met with a closed gate - funny how the electricity was turned back on once I started screaming for help. This place could kill someone in the case of an emergency such as a fire.

Had seen some bad reviews, but was pleasantly surprised, as it was clean and comfortable with nice pool and cheerful staff. Good sunset from balcony overlooking Negombo beach too!

Rooms are tired and need renovating. No hot water. Staff on reception desk ineffective - took half hour to check in because they tried to give me somebody else’s room (even though they had my passport in front of them) then charged me the wrong price. Didn’t clean or offer to clean my room or replenish toilet roll on a 3 night stay!

Rooms are nice, Hotel is far away from the "City center" but close to the beach. Breakfast ok, on a nice Rooftop. Staff not very organized and customer friendly. Its not possible to contact the Hotel with any of the contact Informations on their Web site. All of them are apparently wrong and nobody will ever answer.

Good stopover hotel near airport 7.24911°, 79.84232° Ruvsha Beach Hotel is not located by the beach. For the beach, you have to cross the busy Portutota Road. Alternatively, the hotel has a small swimming pool in the front. A weird architect designed the building, which is substandard cleaned. With the 2019 bombing and the COVID-19 lockdown, investment in maintenance is clearly overdue. A new hotel building stands unused behind the hotel. The hotel has a restaurant on the ground floor (1F) and on 8th (9F) floor. In March 2024, room 501 had a comfortable double bed, lukewarm/cold shower, television and good Wi-Fi-reception. Air conditioning worked well. Breakfast buffet served on the 8th floor (9F) with continental and Asian dishes. Nice view with fishing boats along the shore during breakfast. Service and attention from the staff were good. Ruvisha Beach Hotel is a good stopover hotel but not suitable for long stays.

Perfect family resort, near Colombo airport, easy and fast transport. Clean and big rooms, good quality towels and well working air condition. Nice garden with clean and warm swimming pool. The owners are nice and helpful people, they will help you organize trips. They will prepare you a perfect breakfast and are helpful in everything. I highly recommend Greenwood Villa, great place!

We had an amazing stay at the Green Wood Villa! The owner - and his cat named Mickey - were so nice to us! Also the breakfast was really nice. We would really recommend this place if you like a peaceful and warm welcome in Sri Lanka

Loved everything about our stay with Lucky and his family/staff while we were in Negombo. We booked here when we came at the beginning of our trip and enjoyed it so much that we immediately booked it again for our last 2 nights. Lovely breakfast, beautiful pool with a lot of sun, nice clean rooms with great wifi, and close to the beach. If we're coming back, we won't have to look elsewhere.

Wonderful accommodation in Negombo. Exceptionally friendly and helpful hosts, felt right at home. Despite a flight delay at night, we were picked up from the airport by the nice host. Very clean, a nice pool and very tasty breakfast! We will definitely be back next time!

Loved staying at Green Wood Villa. It was nice and clean, beautiful pool and gardens, lovely big breakfast. The hosts were so friendly, picking me up from the airport when I arrived late at night and happy to have a chat about Sri Lanka and things to do. Would recommend and come back to stay again. Stayed as a solo female traveller and felt really safe and looked after.

We spent our first and last night in Sri Lanka at Waterland. It was conveniently close to the airport and right on the water. We loved both nights. Enjoyed the private villa with our own pool. The service here was great! Food was great. Will definitely come back here.

Wow! What a hidden gem! I love it when I stay somewhere that totally exceeds my expectations, and this place ticks every box and more. The MOST comfortable bed I have ever slept on (in over 30yrs of travel), stunning views, rooms, service and attention to detail. My friends and I stayed in The Peacock Villa, a split level two bed, with a triangular private pool (deceptively large) overlooking the river, for two nights after a long journey out to Sri Lanka from the UK. It was the perfect spot to decompress for a couple of days. Nothing was too much effort for the staff, from getting our room ready early after a long journey, to organising tuk tuks (big shout out to Nicolas and Sunni who ferried us around multiple times!) to arranging a rover boat cruise (a must) and talking us through the breakfast menu! The local resteraunts are great value and catered well for our less spicy European taste buds. I'd recommend a resteraunt called Toro for a good all rounder, and some great live music. The fish market in negombo is worth a visit (via tuk tuk, which are plentiful and inexpensive, however I would recommend using the same drivers and contacting them by WhatsApp, or being firm on the rate prior to the journey if flagged down). We had no issue paying US dollars or rupees, but found the gold shops gave the best rate changing GBP into local currency. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again, was really quite spectacular. And watching the fireflies dance over the pool on the last evening was something I will cherish. If you follow the road from the hotel to the right, a 10 min walk will take you down to the beach/estuary where you will get a wonderful sunset/sunrise view.

My partner and I spent my last night in Sri Lanka at Waterland and we were amazed by the service, the staff and the breakfast! We stayed at the Fire Room, they wrote our names outside our little villa which made it even more romantic and personal. The room has a private pool and a patio where you can have your lunch or dinner on request. You can go around the property and see the beautiful lagoon and the spice garden. The staff is great, and they accomodate our requests, including having breakfast to go due to an early flight. If you want a relaxing and unique luxury experience, this is the place to be!

We stayed at the beautiful Peacock Villa, which overlooks the river—a truly stunning setting. One of the highlights was having two separate floors, giving our family plenty of space. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, both featuring stylish rain showers. However, we did notice the drainage in the first-floor bathroom wasn’t as effective as the ground floor’s; after a shower, the entire bathroom floor would become wet. That said, both bathrooms were stocked with complimentary shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner—all of which smelled amazing. The beds were very comfortable, with ample storage space, a safe, and effective air conditioning. The AC in the bedrooms made a noticeable difference compared to the living room, which was cooled only by two ceiling fans. There were ants around the villa, but this was expected given the climate and didn’t bother us. The ground floor had a large wooden dining table with comfy chairs, while the upper floor featured a cozy lounge set overlooking the river—a perfect spot to relax. We often had visits from a friendly grey cat, which my kids absolutely loved. Towels were plentiful, including separate ones for the pool. The infinity pool was lovely and not too deep, making it ideal for our children. The villa was clean and well-maintained throughout. We only had breakfast once during our stay, and it was delightful. While the portions were smaller than what we’ve had at other hotels, they were still sufficient. Breakfast orders were taken the night before. On the day of our early departure, the staff kindly packed a takeaway breakfast for us, which included fresh juice, thick cheese sandwiches, and bananas. We didn’t dine at the hotel in the evening but instead took tuk-tuks via the Grab Me app into the city center. One highlight of our stay was the river cruise offered by the hotel. Hosted by a staff member, the trip was a great way to explore the local wildlife—we saw kingfishers and various birds, an eagle, fruit bats and a few water monitors, and even stopped for a refreshing king coconut drink. The cruise is weather-dependent, but we highly recommend it if you get the chance. A quick note for light sleepers: you may be woken around 5:30 AM by loud music from the church across the river. This didn’t disturb our kids, but it’s worth mentioning. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return.

Their warm hospitality and attention to detail made us feel truly welcome, and they went above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect experience. If you’re looking for a peaceful yet luxurious getaway near Negombo, Waterland Villa is the place to be! We enjoyed 2 nights in tranquility after a 14 hours flight at their villa. It was a 35 minutes drive by car from the airport. They offer a pick up service, but you can also easily access the place via Uber and it cost us ca. 8 €. As the place is located in a beautiful but small river village, we would recommend staying ca. 2 nights as there is not that much to do around. But it’s the perfect place to relax after or before a long flight. We visited a Negombo beach and enjoyed some seafood there, it was a 10 minutes drive by Tuk Tuk (ordered by Uber). The staff is also helpful finding transportation for you. We can’t wait to come back!

Waterland is a wonderful place in Asia! In the evening, watching the sunset here is truly magical. It's a quiet and peaceful spot—on one side, there's a serene river, and on the other, a charming Dutch canal. The view is beautiful, especially from the villa with a private pool. Our favourite hotel in sri lanka! We stayed here for 3 nights before leaving sri lanka, and whilst it is a 15 minute tuk tuk to the popular tourist area, we found this to be perfect. We went out each day by tuk tuk, and then came back to relax. It has a pool, hot tub, pool table, lots of games, bar and restaurant and even a piano for the pianists. The owners and staff are very friendly and will gladly help if you need anything and there are a couple of very cute dogs that live here. The food was very good with a large selection available, as with the drink selection for great prices. Our room was perfect and had everything and more that we could need, including Netflix on the TV. A perfect end to our trip and we would love to come back

I arrived Colombo late night by flight, the owner here is friendly and waited for me til midnight, so I still can check in at 1am with advance noticed. The owner is so friendly and helpful, he helped a lot on my travel advise and comment about my itinerary. The room here is nice, although facility a bit aged, but they are clean. The bed sheet is not brand new, but it's clean and smooth. Internet speed with 10M download and 6M for upload, it's not super fast but stable

If you are not the fussy kinds, and you like home stays, you would love this place. .just a 15 minute drive from the airport, tucked in a nice residential place, this villa is a comfortable stays, with a pool And of course you need to be pet friendly, there is a lovely dog Janet, who will give you good company by the pool side June, the caretaker is very warm, and very efficient.. the food is delicious. We loved our 2 days stay

We had one night before flying out of Colombo and opted to stay near the airport. That was an excellent decision since it steered us to Palms Villa, this lovely B&B with owner Gary and his lovely staff and fun dogs. The room was very comfortable with the best bed linens I've ever had ( will be doing some purchasing once I get home). Everything was just tip top, plus a seating area overlooking a nice pool. We had three meals here, all well-prepared and delicious. Gary, himself, is a delightful person, which made our stay there even nicer. There isn't much within walking distance, hence only four stars for location, but it was nice to have a very short ride to the airport for an early morning flight. I would definitely stay here again.

Paradise! We only spent a night there as we had to catch a flight early in the morning, however that was the most peaceful accommodation we had in Sri Lanka. We’ve been to dozens of hotels around Colombo over the last couple of months and I have to say this was proper European standard. The rooms were shinning, the bed sheets were cleaned and ironed and smelled good. The mini bar in the room had plenary of drinks, the pool was clean, the kitchen was clean, European clean! The food was lovely the staff was kind and non invasive and spoke good English, the owner arranged a pick up for us in the middle of the night and even got up to say goodbye. Don’t waste your time looking for a place, that’s the one and only!

My stay at Vivanta Colombo Airport Garden was truly a great experience. The place was beautiful, the room was comfortable, and the food was especially impressive I really enjoyed it. The staff were welcoming and helpful, which made my stay even more pleasant. I do have a small concern regarding a card transaction during my stay. I initially paid by card but later asked the front desk to void the transaction so I could pay in cash instead. While they kindly assisted me and processed the void, I’ve noticed that the amount has not yet been reversed to my bank account. I also tried reaching out via the email provided but have not received any response, so I’m unsure if the address is working. I’d appreciate it if the concerned manager or staff member could kindly get in touch with me regarding this matter or let me know whom I can directly contact to follow this up. Aside from this small issue, everything else about my stay was excellent, and I would definitely recommend the hotel to others.

The hotel is well located, just a short drive from the airport, and the lush surroundings are peaceful. But beyond that, the experience didn’t live up to the premium price tag. The rooms are basic, and the air conditioning was a serious issue. Despite multiple complaints, the temperature remained uncomfortably low all night—especially concerning since we were traveling with an infant. The staff offered generic reassurances, but no real resolution. Service overall felt closer to a 3-star property: polite but not proactive. At this price point, you expect better responsiveness and attention to comfort. The food was average. The breakfast buffet had very limited vegetarian options—most salads even had eggs or chicken, which was disappointing. While the hotel offers clean spaces and decent amenities like a pool and garden walkways, the value just didn’t match the cost. For a Vivanta brand under Taj, the expectations were higher than what was delivered.

I had a great experience staying at Vinvatha Airport Garden Hotel. The food was delicious, and it’s a big plus that halal options are available. The room had a nice view and was clean and comfortable. The location is perfect—very close to the airport, making it an excellent choice for a short stay. The staff were really welcoming and helpful throughout my visit. A proper 4-star property that I’d definitely recommend!

I stay at this hotel about once a month, and honestly, it’s a joke. The staff have no idea what they’re doing — they can’t even manage something as basic as a wake-up call. Every time I ask, they screw it up. The restaurant? Don’t even get me started. You show up, ask for a menu — they forget about you. Then they bring the menu — and forget about you again. After you finally order, you sit there for 20–30 minutes waiting for food that’s barely edible. On top of that, they slap you with a “service charge” and ridiculous taxes like it’s some fine dining experience. Spoiler: it’s not. The food is garbage. The kebab tastes nothing like a kebab, and they don’t even give you sauce. Who serves a kebab without sauce?! Tried their dinner buffet once — never again. Everything looked and tasted cheap, yet somehow it’s overpriced. And drinks? Only water and tea. Seriously? This place is a total embarrassment. It ruins the whole impression of Sri Lanka.

Close to airport Room was spacious But the tv didn’t work in room and Toilet didn’t flush so ended up using the hose. Breakfast was average basic tea coffee pastries etc but I did try a egg hopper which was nice. Service was polite and quick

I was visiting my husband with my kids on the ( 06/10/2025) stayed in room 211. Before I even entered the room I visited the main restaurant so I can meet the chef since I have severe food allergies. There is was introduced to the Chef Kunkuma who was well trained to face guests like me. He did take down notes and all the food I am allergic to. Even cross contamination should be avoided and he took all the responsibility and prepared my order by himself and it was soooo delicious and I was so overwhelmed. Only the once with food allergies would know how important that when we go Out when we eat so we don’t get an allergy. In that case i totally recommend this hotel and mainly the this kind efficient soul the Chef Kunkuma. Looking forward on going there soon!

The hotel is located well at the beach side and it has pretty much everything you need. It has aged and needs a freshening up. The linens and comforters have aged. The food is not bad. But for the price paid I cannot complain much as it's well located. The room service as well as the staff behavior is really good.

It was quiet and the room was cozy, but need to advertise true information, it would make a big difference if you would add activities . Breakfast was good all the days and staff was always available to help and helpful. Renovations are due. The pool is great and amazing but it would be good if it’s full to the standard level, selected a room that had pick up but they say no you do not have pick up you should contact the website you got your ticket from ended up saying we will pick you up as if it was a favor and going back they did not agree on dropping us. You also need to update your pictures . It’s dead at night activities would mean a lot. The use of bin liners would be greatly appreciated to avoid smells or just cleaning the buckets would help.

I would say it’s a okay place to spend your day outing. However if the support staff could be more polite it would add more value to the service they rendered. In terms of food it’s okay but if they have more options for a vegetarian it would be nice. Further they should have the option of providing plain tea or milk tea, when I spoke to one of the staff, he said only milk was available and the way he responded was not that great.

The hotel is really great. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is delicious and you can always request any dietary preferences, it will be done for you. We love Sri Lankan curry so when it wasn't on the buffet menu, we requested it from the chefs and it was done. All of the staff are happy in their work which is a great reflection on the management. The rooms are well equipped in a traditional style so you have everything you need. The pool area has a dedicated staff (that clean the pool every morning) as does the pirate bar. Would recommend this hotel as it's great value for money and ideally located. WiFi is great and free. This is my second stay at this hotel and will definitely be going back next year. The staff are like family.

A Good hotel to spend the day with friends. Welcome drink, lunch, evening snack and tea, swimming pool and a dressing room included in our package. Prices are reasonable. Can play cricket. There is a flat area on the right side of the beach near the hotel. You can use it as the pitch :)

Located at Nice place. Staff is also cooperative. Lighting inside room is little less. Food is of OK quality (not the best). Visitors having vegetarian preference need to take care. The breads and cake are having eggs. Take care of differentiating Veg and Nonveg.

We stayed at the Topaz Beach Hotel with a group of teenagers and had a wonderful experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, cheerful, and attentive, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The rooms were clean, spacious, well-ventilated, and air-conditioned, offering a beautiful view of the pool and the beach — a real plus. There’s also a small outdoor shower near the pool, clean and very pleasant, especially in the warm weather. Breakfast can be adjusted to your preference (English or traditional), and the value for money is excellent. We highly recommend this hotel without hesitation!

We stayed here for a few nights and the service the staff provided was excellent. The rooms are reasonable in size and have a beautiful view of the beach but could still be modernised. The food was tasty and fitted our vegetarian requirements.

We had the most wonderful stay at Seahorse Hotel! The staff went above and beyond to make our trip truly memorable. I had mentioned that we were celebrating my boyfriend’s 30th birthday, and they surprised us by beautifully organizing a birthday cake and a special high tea. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the occasion extra special. They were also incredibly helpful in organizing activities for us, including a relaxing massage on our first day, which set the perfect tone for the rest of our stay. The atmosphere of the hotel is warm and welcoming, and the service was attentive without ever being intrusive. We felt genuinely cared for throughout our time there. Hotel was quite nice and the service was very good. We stayed here for our first night and decided to come back as it’s a reasonable price and near the airport. The hotel rooms were pretty nice, the only issue was the showers both times were a bit cold and low pressure. Other than that it’s a very nice place

If I could give this hotel an 11/10 I would! We loved our stay here. Rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff are very welcoming and the pool made it very relaxing. The restaurant food is also exceptional!! It’s also walking distance to the beach, shops and local cafes/restaurants and only a short drive to Negombo town. Very nice first stay in Sri Lanka. Super friendly staff don’t know the word ‘no’. They carry your bags all the way to the room. Breakfast was great with the option to have either continental or an authentic Sri Lankan meal. The room is beautiful and clean, we even got a whirlpool.

The Seahorse Hotel is the best place to stay in Negombo. Ajith and Ramon are very hospitable and welcoming. Great food. Coffee was excellent and their cocktail making class!!! Would definitely return!

It’s a place with a very beautiful and comfy set up in a great location close to the beach and a lot of restaurants. It was super relaxing, a small paradise in the busy city. The owners and staff are very nice people and made you feel very comfortable. The breakfast was great too. And the rescued cats and dogs add another soulful experience to it! Super cute and cuddly and I admire the owners engagement and commitment to provide for them and help animals! 🤍

We really enjoyed our stay and recovered here from the long flight. The service is great, the pool clean and comfortable seating everywhere. The room was large, with a very comfortable bed, great shower, private terrace, fridge, everything you need. The owner is very nice, helpful and accommodating. He has a big heart for animals and rescues cats that have been thrown away or mistreated and nurses them back to health. We think that's great and were happy to support him. We can highly recommend Villa Kapuru in Negombo and would love to come back. Many thanks and best wishes, also to Dusty, Lucky and the whole gang of cats.

We loved our stay at this beautiful, serene villa. The location is perfect—just a 10-minute walk to the beach and close to great restaurants. The villa is spacious with lovely pool views and relaxing spots to read or unwind. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the sweetest touch was the rescued cats and dogs on the property—so gentle and playful. A truly heartwarming and restful experience. Highly recommended!

Small and friendly hotel. The pool view room was pleasant with a comfortable bed, good air con and an excellent bathroom. Cleanliness was to a high standard, particularly the pool. We asked for a Sri Lankan breakfast and this was really exceptional. It is a little away from the beach but a Tuk tuk only costs about £1, so this is not a problem. The staff were very helpful.

Stayed 5 nights in this wonderful quiet hotel. Clean rooms around a quiet and beautiful pool (or at the backside with view on the Hamilton canal). Lots of cats and dogs rescued from the street. Don’t be afraid because they are the sweetest animals ever and keep very much to themselves.

We have just had the most amazing stay at Villa Kapuru. The room was large, clean and had really good water pressure and hot water! The pool was lovely to relax in, the whole place was very clean(had people cleaning to constantly the whole time we were there) and it’s located very centrally, but tucked away down a side street so it’s very quiet. The owner is the kindest person with a heart of gold who went above and beyond to help us-he is also passionate about helping animals which we absolutely loved. He has rescued around 250 cats and 14 dogs in total! There were many friendly cats and two dogs here-who all loved a pat but were polite enough to chill until we approached them. The breakfast was an added bonus-very tasty and lovely to eat by the pool! They own a restaurant down the road called Centella Bistro and we ate there on our last night-I wish we went earlier because it was really nice food. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, and I would return to Sri Lanka simply to stay here again.

This place is awesome! We are staying a couple of nights with two kids (5 and 6 years old) we are treated like royalty. We arrived to early to check-in. But since we had a long flight they prepared our room early while we had a great breakfast. The staff is super friendly and great with kids.

My family of four had such a lovely stay here in the family suite. The suite was effectively two bedrooms with a couch, smart TV and super comfortable bedding. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. The staff are exceptional - we were made to feel really welcome and the manager showed us around the gardens and interacted with our two kids allowing them to feed the fish on a couple of occasions. A true oasis in Negombo, we hope to stay again sometime.

What a nice place this is, we ended our holiday here and were sad we didn't start here as well. Luxuries rooms great pool and a fine selection of food. Shout out to the waiter with the best mustache of al sri lanka!

We stayed at Swanee Gand for just one night upon our arrival in Sri Lanka, and it was a lovely way to begin our trip. The villa was beautiful, and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. The garden surroundings were peaceful and well-maintained. Breakfast was a standout—easily one of the best I’ve had in a long time, with exceptionally fresh fruit. The only downside was the low water pressure in the shower and the lack of hot water, which made bathing a bit uncomfortable.

Unfortunately, we only stayed one night at this hotel and wished we could have stayed longer. Beautiful colonial building, pool, and gardens. Very hospitable and child-friendly owners, great service, and delicious food. Despite the central location, it's a perfect place for peace and relaxation. We definitely recommend to stay here.

Beautiful hotel! What we liked the most about it was the quiet and relaxing environment, and of course the very beautiful garden. The breakfast is just amazing! you get all these kinds of tropical fruits and typical Sri Lankan food (if thats your choice) for breakfast and you'll just love it. All members of the staff are always willing to help you and to chat, specially Rohan made our stay very pleasant. 100% recommended. So nice that we will come back at the end of our holiday before heading back home

A classy boutique hotel well located close to the airport. Nestled within a beautiful green landscape with brilliant British architecture. Worth staying as transit or relaxing for couple of days while enjoying the surroundings within and around this premises in Negombo. Overall it’s a good stay.

A fairly new hotel 20 minutes from the airport popular with ‘first and last night in Sri Lanka’ tourists. The rooms lack some facilities but are modern & clean. The property is next to a canal and right in the middle of Negombo town. Interesting area to walk around. Room rates are much lower than the Negombo beach hotels.

We had a short yet very pleasant stay. The canal/river view was beautiful, breakfast was good and the staff were kind and helpful. Rooms were well equipped and comfortable.

We started our SL trip in Negombo and stayed here at Hive 68. They allowed us to check in early which was really nice of them. The service from check in to check out was smooth and the staff are very nice and friendly. We also had our dinner at the hotel restaurant - Gatsbee. The food was amazing! The service was quick and they have ice cold beer!

If you are searching for a place which is very close to Negombo town and where you can easily find all the transportaion facilities, Hive 68 is a perfect place for it. The bus terminal, rail way station are just in walking distance. I stayed in the hotel for one night and all the the facilities provided was really good. We had a good breakfast. If the guest count is high they arrange a buffet as well. Also they have a restaurant where you can get meals from their menu. Overall I must say that it's a perfect place if you are planning a comfortable stay in Negombo.

Saman and Judith were incredible hosts! We had a wonderful time at Suriya Arana. Everything was spotless, and the food was full of flavour and absolutely delicious. The rooms were extremely clean, and the location is ideal—just a short walk to the beach. The pool was also very clean, perfect for an evening dip. We have nothing negative to say about the hosts. I highly recommend this place to anyone—it’s absolutely worth the money!

We stayed in Suriya Arana for 3 nights and it was exceptional. The owners make you feel like at home and the staff is so friendly and supportive. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, the pool is nice and the dinner in the garden is beautiful.

First stop of our trip after 36h of trip. This was a welcome stop over. People are kind, food is good, rooms are correct and clean. The pool is small but quiet and clean while only 4 long chairs are available. Not far from Negombo beach to walk. Good location.

Lovely and a cozy hotel. Suitable for family and groups of friends to spend quality time without much disturbances. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Their food is really good too, especially the seafood and we saw they have an arranged a special candle lit dinner for a couple at their lawn. Dinner and drinks in the lawn area was such a nice experience with sea breeze. Walking distance to the beach and to the tourist areas, where a lot of popular bars and cafes are.

We booked to be in close proximity to the airport, but was also close to main road, lots of shops, restaurants & beach! Staff were incredibly helpful, arranging a lam pick up to the airport for us. Although we didn't get to use it, there was a lovely pool.

We were able to organize a pickup from the airport by email before arrival, which worked really well. The driver helped us buy a SIM card in the terminal. The hotel is in a very quiet location, it takes a maximum of 10 minutes to walk to the beach. It is very, very quiet at night. It's less than 3 meters from the rooms to the pool and it feels so safe that you don't have to lock the door. The hosts are extremely friendly, our daughter felt very loved. The breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka. For dinner, you order from a restaurant that delivers and the hotel will serve it beautifully at the table if you don't want to go out to eat.

One night after arriving at the airport. Clean, cute accommodations, a perfectly adequate room for the price. Very good breakfast.

We loved our stay here at the nature villa in Negombo! The staff were amazing and so friendly. The rooms were the perfect size and comfortable. I would recommend the nature villa to everyone! The traditional breakfast was delicious including the fruit platter. Thank you nature villa and I hope to come back and visit you again soon. 5 star!

The host speeks good English and is lovely he does everything to make your stay perfect. The rooms are big and very clean. The shower is good and with warm water. They have a nice large pool and the breakfast is delicious. I would recommend this place to everyone

The room we stayed in was not in line with all of these reviews that have been made by other travellers and it almost makes me suspect they're actually real. This is a 1 star hotel at best with no blankets in the room meaning my wife had to use towels in bed to cover herself. Also the taxi we paid for the transfer to Kandy ($55USD) after specifying we needed AC in 36 degree heat didn't work. This made for a horrific journey which was almost unbearable. I would not recommend or stay here ever again. Rant over

We visited this hotel and were welcomed by friendly and polite staff, which we really appreciated. The place itself is decent, and the room we were given was okay — nothing to complain about in terms of cleanliness or comfort. However, the main issue was with the reservation process. We had made an early booking, but when we arrived, it seemed like they hadn’t noted it properly. Because of that, we couldn’t get the room we originally booked and had to settle for what was available. It’s a good place overall, but they really need to pay more attention to reservation handling. Just make sure to double-confirm your booking before you arrive.

Calm and lovely place. Very near to Negombo beach. And shopping area and restaurants are also in walking distance. Hotel premises is clean well maintained. Staff and management is also kind and friendly. Surround is also nice. Can recommend everyone for staying.

We booked one triple room and one double room, but the rooms did not match the photos on the website. There was no hot water, no working Wi-Fi, and while there was a TV, it wasn’t functioning. At night, there was no staff available to assist with any issues. Additionally, the kitchen was not clean at all. I strongly recommend confirming all details about the facilities and requesting updated pictures of the rooms before booking. Also, the location is inconvenient without a vehicle, as the roads are difficult to walk on, with dirty water everywhere.

Terrible Experience – Avoid this Hotel We had an extremely disappointing stay at this hotel. Despite booking 5 double rooms in advance, we were only given 4 at check-in, and the last one was provided 4 hours later. To make things worse, two of the rooms had no water for the entire night. The hotel looks nothing like the pictures online. The jacuzzi, which was a key reason for our booking, was dirty and completely non-functional. The management didn’t respond to our issues and even had the audacity to turn off their phones when we tried to complain. Some rooms also had a terrible odor, and one of the beds was broken. Overall, the experience was far from what was advertised. I would not recommend staying here.

The room had a nice balcony facing the swimming pool and the pool was clean. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, but the air conditioning was not enough. Furniture in the room should be improved and bathroom amenities didn't include shampoo, conditioner, or shower gel. Food was okay and the portion was big given the charges. Overall the stay was worth the price and the place has the potential to grow bigger and better.

Nice villa in Negombo. Beautiful garden and pool. It's near Negombo Beach and there are plenty of restaurants around. You should try the optional breakfast. You will taste lots of different fruits and comes with a home made mango juice from a mango tree in the same garden. Be careful about this. Like any other hotel in Sri Lanka you will have to pay with cash once there. If you come with a Booking reservation the owner will try to charge you with about an extra 10% for the room. We came here twice and both times happened the same. The first time, just after landing in Sri Lanka, we complained and he instantly redid the check using the correct amount. Second time, before going back home, we stayed just one night and it was no big deal. Other than that, the place was really helpful and pleasant for the beginning and ending of our trip. So I still recommend it.

Sujeevani Villa is definitely a great place to stay after arrival. It's comparably easy to get there and a lovely, clean and cosy place with a great pool. It's close to some beaches and there are many restaurants of any style close by. The staff is also very friendly and they arrange everything you need. So a clear recommendation from us (family of 4 people).

We had a brilliant stay here! Incredibly friendly staff who always greeted you and made you feel welcome. A spacious room with ample kitchen space and an enclosed garden to enjoy. The pool was clean and had a great temperature. Great base for a few days!

This hotel was one of the best decisions we made. It's away from the traffic in Negombo. It's a small hotel, so you're never crowded by other guests. The views are spectacular, looking over the pool. The food was better than anything we ate in town. We ended up eating almost all of our meals at the hotel, and we're never disappointed. The rooms are spacious as are the bathrooms. The staff were very courteous and attentive.Very clean and spacious apartment with friendly hosts. They were very helpful and kind, and went out of their way to make our stay memorable.I would recommend this venue to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday.

We had a spacious villa with a garden view. Everything was very clean and beautiful. The breakfast is fabulous! Communication with the manager was very friendly. Location - very good. It's only 400 meters to the beach and various restaurants. Only stayed two nights but it was perfect.

Loved my peaceful two night stay at Sujeevani Villa. Greeted with a warm smile and fresh juice by owner Milan upon my arrival. The room had the AC already turned on so it was nice and cool immediately. Huge, very clean room with all the amenities: fridge, chairs, desk, bottled water, pool towels, hair dryer, TV, etc. The pool and the relaxing area around it was lovely - not only very clean but also lots of birds flying in the garden in the early evening. The breakfast was the best I’ve had in my 4 weeks in Sri Lanka - huge fruit plate followed by eggs and even French toast. Highly recommend.

Location off small road which is off main road. Owners are very helpful and friendly. Room I was allocated, was top floor. Quiet. No hot water. Ac working. Lock on door inside wouldn't connect. It had been raining and you had to walk down lane covered in water. Plus they told me only bus to anuradhapura was 5000. This is a local scam going that they all making money on. Prices varying between 4000 and 7000. Look up my bus stand review for more info.

Well located little place just off the main strip. Far away enough that it is calm and quiet, you can't hear the main road at all! Nice garden area with a swing seat, pool is decent. A/C in room was lovely after a very sweaty journey! Loses a point as the toilet wasn't fully cleaned and the shower temperature was difficult to get right (either scorching hot or cold, I chose cold). Staff were lovely and accommodating, and I got a free pot of tea and bottled water on arrival! There is a kettle in the room but no teabags provided so byo.

I had a 1 night stay before flying out of the international Airport, which is 30 taxi/tuk tuk ride. The room and grounds are really nice. Only a 5/10 min walk to shops and restaurants, the beach is also 5min walk.

A lovely and comfortable ensuite room. Was very happy with my stay here. The garden and pool area are particularly nice. Note- when it rains the nearby roads flood and stay flooded for days which makes walking through them difficult. This is not the fault of the hotel but worthwhile considering.

Forget about the pictures: It’s WORSE! Mold in the air feels like you’ll die from mushrooms growing in your lungs. We were welcomed like we weren’t welcome at all and my room’s bed wasn’t even made, they just left a folded sheet on top of it for me to make it. I travelled through Sri Lanka on a budget and this was by far the worst place I stayed in (unfortunately for the last night) and woke up mid night with a terrible cough from the moist smelly air inside. Also plagued with mosquitoes. Stay away from this one, would have given 1* or 0* but as a traveller don’t trust those

Outstanding in every aspect. Incredible service, delicious food (lagoon shrimp was the best), beautiful rooms, pristine clean pool and lush garden full of coconut trees. Great bar with fresh juices. The staff are just so nice and go above and beyond. We loved it so much. 10/10

Uga Riva was truly a highlight and the perfect place to end our two-week trip. I surprised my mother with a stay here for her birthday, and we both absolutely loved it. The property is simply stunning, with its colonial manor charm and beautiful Geoffrey Bawa–style architecture. Everything is perfectly maintained and exudes a warm, inviting atmosphere. We especially loved the welcome with the lighting of the oil lamp — such a thoughtful and special touch that you don’t experience everywhere. Our room was spacious and elegant, with high ceilings and a refined interior design that made it feel both luxurious and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to make my mom’s birthday memorable, surprising her with a cake and offering us a late checkout, which we really appreciated. The pool area is peaceful and relaxing, and we loved that guests are allowed to use the pool in the evenings as well. The location is also very convenient, being just a short drive from the airport. One thing that could make the experience even better would be if the hotel offered spa services or perhaps morning yoga or fitness activities.

Absolutely beautiful colonial style hotel. Very peaceful and quiet set in beautiful gardens with a lovely old style bar next to the pool. The food was outstanding and the staff utterly delightful. We are going back at the end of our trip as it’s so wonderful!

A comfortable hotel, convenient for the airport. Lovely staff, good food and a excellent little pool with crystal clear water which comes from the natural spring on site. The slight drawback with the property is the fact that there is limited comfortable outside seating. The deluxe rooms, whilst well equipped and spacious, have no outside space attaching to them and the hotel has no comfortable seating outside. Even the superior rooms only have tables and an armchair each and none afford any privacy as they are all in a line opposite the open air bar. That said, if all you are looking for is a bit of respite before or after a long haul flight, then this is certainly a venue to consider

Small boutique type of hotel with very few rooms. The rooms and facilities are clean and functional. The service is good and you get treated very well. The food was good and we had good stays after arrival in Negombo and before we left Sri Lanka.

The rooms were spacious with air-conditioning with nice washroom attached. A swimming pool was also there. 30mins away from the Airport. The last time I stayed here with my friend like 2 weeks ago, there were so many mosquitos and the bed was not heavy enough to even hold me , a piece of wood of the bed fell off, my friend had do fix it next morning, they gave him a 🔨.

Awesome hotel! One of the best we were in SriLanka. With a beautiful and clean swimming pool, confortable beds, clean and modern rooms. They also have laundry service (500 LKR/kg) and breakfast (1,800LKR pp). The staff was kind and nice.

Overall hotel was oke/good. Rooms were clean & AC worked perfectly. Communication was a bit difficult since we only speak english. Breakfast was not much special. Pool was very nice. Good budget place to relax before or after the flight in/out.

Clean, modern and beautiful rooms & bathrooms. Comfortable beds and nice hosts. If you're a light sleeper don't plan on sleeping in, you can hear everything inside the house & out- especially other doors closing and downstairs. I liked that our room had a balcony and air conditioner; however a fan would have been good too. The AC made the room a bit to chilly with only a sheet on the bed and a fan would help drown out all the noise. Comfortable stay regardless.

Cozy small hotel in one of the less touristy parts of negombo. The rooms are new and the bathroom in our room was one of the nicest I have seen in all of Sri lanka. The beach is a short walk away, but I would recommend going a bit further north for a nicer stretch of sand.

Stopped here for 3 nights, a lovely homely family run place to stay in one of the less touristy parts of Negombo. Short tuk tuk ride to the bars and restaurants. Short walk to a decent swimming beach.

We got the room full of mosquitoes, without any daylight (window has no glass so the shutters had to be closed all the time due mosquitoes). Also we could hear every sound from the frontdesk and vice versa.

OK place bit out of way, room comfortable & clean , makes nice breakfast n coffee ,WiFi worked well , BUT TV, don't work . Plug in sink Stuk in

A very easy place to stay. No drama and is well run. So close to the beach you can hear the waves. Rooms on two levels. 4 rooms on the second floor. 2 rooms on the first floor. Each room is ensuite. Room 4 is the largest room and has a balcony. Breakfast is good and served on the second floor veranda. Fruit, coffee, tea, eggs and toast. There is a change up in the food if you stay a while. This is a family run place and they make you feel welcomed. They can also help you on travels withen the country.

Clean rooms, although simple, good beds. Great value. Excellent food! But above all, a very friendly family who run this place. The father of the family, Ravi, was our driver and tourguide, he showed us how beautifull Sri Lanka is.

Dilanga is the kindest & most helpful host you can imagine. He welcomes you personally and makes sure you have everything you need. Rooms are clean & modern and the garden with terrace invites you to relax in the evening before a good night's sleep. Great for couples & solo travelers. Safe & not too busy neighborhood. Easy & fast to reach from the airport with tuktuk or Uber and close to the Negombo beaches.

Great place. The property its self and the surrounding area are both high end. It is also located only around 15 to 20 mins from the airport and the staff can help you organize transportation. The staff are both knowledgeable and helpful, and the rooms are modern and super clean. It also boasts one of the best showers I found during my 20 days in Sri Lanka.
