The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa is a luxurious hotel located alongside the historic St Andrews golf course. It offers top-notch amenities such as a spa, multiple dining options, and engaging kids' programmes. The hotel's Road Hole Bar provides breathtaking panoramic views of St Andrews and an extensive selection of over 300 whiskies, making it a haven for whisky enthusiasts. Additionally, the hotel is renowned for its delightful afternoon tea experiences featuring delicate sandwiches and exquisite pastries overlooking the famous golf course.
This hotel was absolutely perfect to celebrate our 25th anniversary. It is located at the very Old Course with direct views on the fairways from the restaurant and bar. The staff are genuinely friendly. The decoration and the rooms are old-fashioned in a lovable, traditional way. Breakfast is good and plenty. There is a golf concierge who helps with any golf-related request. We had a marvellous stay and thank the hotel management and personnel for their outstanding attention and care on our special occasion. We recommend this place to all golf lovers coming to St. Andrews.

we sat on terrace for drinks, under a huge tented canopy which protected us from the wind and gave amazing views over the old course and swilken bridge. service was very friendly and they fussed over our dogs. didn't eat so can't comment on food
Christine S — Google review
The best part of the Old Course was the very kind service. However, the service at dinner was extremely slow! It would consistently take 35-40 to get a cocktail or glass a wine. It was the strangest thing to watch. The servers seemed to be completely overwhelmed. One server was serving way too many people. The management is not doing their job. The rooms are comfortable as far as bedding, but they are very warm! We went in a group of 10 and all of our rooms were uncomfortable. Room service was prompt and delicious. Again, what makes the hotel special is the people working there. They all try very hard and seem to want to make your stay a special one.
Deana M — Google review
Truly excellent. All the staff are amazing, but special shout out to Cameron in the Swilcan resto for making our dinner at the bar a real highlight of the trip! Also Anita who took very good care of us at breakfast. My friend and I had amazing good and wine in the Jigger as well. Spa was fab. A return trip to the hotel is already on the cards!
Stephanie W — Google review
Staff were super friendly. As we came through the front door. We were greeted and someone showed us to the elevator to take an amazing view of the course and the final holes. It couldn't have been more welcome inviting process and we ended up staying for drinks. Just goes to show you. You open your doors. Your greatest warmly and will stay.
Neil M — Google review
We just stopped in to buy some souvenirs, and the staff was completely wonderful. They gave us directions no problem, and the guys manning the golf station gave my mother some lovely little booklets about the courses. The front desk staff were also amazing and gave her some brochures about the hotel, and a few pens.
Agnesv2 — Google review
The Hotel made us feel extremely welcome for a 21st afternoon tea, reserving a lovely space. Service was fab. Unfortunately the afternoon tea itself left much to be desired. There were very few sandwiches, and these were dry at the corners. The deserts were not that great with the exception of the scones and clotted cream.

Such a beautiful hotel with fantastic views of the golfers and greens. A bit more expensive than other hotels but worth it if your into golf. Easy to find and lots of parking.

Guest house
No12 Bed and Breakfast in St. Andrews offers a cozy stay with some rooms providing sea views and complimentary breakfast and Wi-Fi. The property is conveniently located by the sea, within walking distance of St. Andrew's Cathedral and University of St. Andrews, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. The upscale B&B provides amenities such as free Wi-Fi, concierge services, and complimentary breakfast.
I enjoyed a wonderful stay at No12, Pam is a fantastic host and makes the best breakfast in town. The house is clean and welcoming, with comfortable beds and soft towels and sheets. Can’t wait to return!
Phoebe L — Google review
I was truly speechless when Pam called me at 6 PM asking where we were. I replied that due to issues at the airport — which were completely out of our control — we had missed our flight. We had previously informed them via booking.com that we would be arriving between 4 and 6 AM, but as we all know, not everything can be planned down to the last detail. I told her we would arrive by 8 PM, to which she responded quite rudely, saying we were now considered “no show” guests and should find another place to stay. You can imagine my outrage — I’m traveling with my grandmother who is over 80 years old, and being told late at night on a Friday that we suddenly need to find a new hotel is just outrageous. She also claimed she had called us but we didn’t answer. For heaven’s sake — we were on a plane! How could we have taken the call? And before frankly I wasn’t thinking about calling a hotel to tell them we would be arriving two hours later, we simply had different problems at the time. And the cherry on top: she refused to cancel our €750 payment. One can only assume she wanted the money without putting in the work.
Anjali B — Google review
We had a wonderful visit to St. Andrews and this cozy B & B was part of the allure. Pam was a fabulous host and meeting her mother, Joyce, was an added bonus! Pam is a wealth of information and quite helpful in getting around the city and the golf courses. Pam catered nicely even to the “tricky ones” as 2 of us are vegan and desired a different kind of breakfast. Short walk to a quaint pub and only a little further to the city center. Also very near the beach. We’d definitely return on a future trip to beautiful St. Andrews!
Lisa A — Google review
Pam was a wonderful host. Loved the breakfast and conversations with Pam and her lovely mother. The location was great and he room was very welcoming and clean. We would definitely go back. Kind people and a wonderful place to visit. Kirk and I send our best!!!
Paula S — Google review
We have stayed here on numerous occasions as we love the area, and it's a great base to tour this part of Scotland. Pam the owner is most knowledgeable about the area and can recommend day trips with good hostelries along the way! The bedrooms are most luxurious for a B&B - don''t let that title confuse you, it's a beautiful home with lovely touches in the rooms, and the attention to detail makes it extra special. Be hungry in the morning, the breakfast caters for all whims and appetites, thankfully you can walk if off around the picturesque town of St.Andrews. We will definitely be back.
Lisa C — Google review
Lorraine and I stayed here after a brilliant night out what a crowd of friends in St Andrews. The room was lovely, everything was clean and fresh, and we had an ensuite. Pam was brilliant and very helpful. We managed an excellent breakfast before spending a day in St Andrews clearing our hangovers. First class and great value. Thanks Pam!

Beautiful accommodation very close to the lovely east sands and only a short walk into town. The room had a lovely en suite and tea and coffee making facilities - with a biscuit thrown in! Exceptionally clean and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and freshly cooked to order. Will be back!

Another excellent visit to No 12. Comfortable, spacious bedroom with views to the sea. Great rain shower in the en-suite. Breakfast is nicely served and there is a really good choice of freshly cooked options. There is always a friendly welcome from both Pam and her lovely dog Bunty.

Haar Restaurant & Rooms is a luxurious 5-star establishment located in the heart of St Andrews, just a short walk from West Sands Beach. The on-site restaurant offers exquisite Scottish and local cuisine, with a focus on using local and seasonal produce, seafood, and meat. The restaurant caters to various dietary preferences including vegetarian, vegan, and dairy-free options. Guests can also indulge in fully cooked traditional or vegetarian breakfasts during their stay.
Fantastic, majoring in seafood of delicacy and Scottish provenance. We had a la carte with the tasting menu starter snacks. All were prepared beautifully and tasted delicious. Good, short wine list. Staff were great and friendly. Breakfast worth staying over for. Deducted one star for the steep staircase to the top of the building for our overnight room which was otherwise comfortable and well equipped.
Broonbiker — Google review
My wife and I recently stayed at Haar 5 Star Rooms and overall had a very positive experience. Michael at the front desk was helpful and welcoming at check in, setting a good tone for our stay. The real highlight, however, was Sara, who is without question the star of the property. She was an absolute delight at breakfast, warm, attentive, and with such a pleasant personality that she truly elevated the overall experience. Compliments as well to the chef, who prepared an excellent breakfast though I unfortunately did not get his name. My only slight complaint was with Room 2, where the floor tilts a little downward on the side where the pillow rests. It is a quirk of the old construction, not a major issue, but enough to be an annoyance while in bed. All in all, Haars 5 Star Rooms delivers on comfort, hospitality, and service, with Sara and the breakfast team leaving the most lasting impression.
Thomas — Google review
We really enjoyed our tasting menu dinner at Haar, seeing the head chef prepare our first couple of courses in front of us was a unique experience - my favourite part of a great night. The staff were brilliant, Michal was very friendly and attentive and Maddie was warm and welcoming. The cocktails were great also.
Lea — Google review
I’m sorry but the experience fell short of our expectations having to wait 25mins while other diners were given a demo of first course. Dining room very cold. Myself and another diner had to go for a wrap to get warm. 4 wines and 5 courses one being bread only overpriced. No lift had to kneel on floor to work door button lock at room. Winding stairs to carry luggage not good when you’re in your seventies. The overall atmosphere was lacking I’m afraid. The emphasis seems to be all about the money before the guests. £25 for breakfast is ridiculous. Praise should go to Evie a charming lady very welcoming and to Maddie who looked after me online and the gentleman who does a lovely job of cleaning the rooms. He carried my heavy case down those stairs. You must note no lift in your advertising. We had a seven course tasting with wines in the Pompadour which also let you down when my husband was advised he could get draught beer down in the bar and bring it up himself. He is 78 did so and was charged £1 service joke. Sorry Dean I’m unsubscribing Linda Lindsay

For some reason my previous review was deleted. So I wrote it again. My wife and I stayed at the HAAR Restaurant and Rooms at their St Andrews property on August 15–16, 2025, having booked 3 nights through American Express. Upon checking in, we were led to a table in the restaurant to check in, as there is no front desk like in every other hotel we’ve been to. As we were going to our room, we found out that the hotel did not have an elevator, and there were 52 stairs up to our room. As we had nowhere else to go, we decided to stay there for 2 nights, and asked if we could check out a night early. An employee told my wife and me that she understood and that we can check out 1 night early. As someone who had major back surgery, it was impossible for me to continue the stay there safely or comfortably. At no point during the booking process — including American Express’s internal information — was it disclosed that the property has no elevators. Had we known, we never would have booked. When we explained our situation to two staff members, Sarah and Michael, Sarah was very understanding and nice and assured us that checking out early would be acceptable. However, despite that assurance, I have still not received the refund of £356.40 for the unused third night. Over the following weeks, I made multiple polite attempts to resolve the matter. I spoke with American Express representatives, who tried repeatedly to contact Michael and the hotel on my behalf — without success. Michael initially emailed me that he would “speak with the manager,” but never got back to me. Finally, American Express received a reply from Haar, and I was told that they will not refund! I also emailed Dean Banks, who I was told is the owner, and have yet to receive even the courtesy of a reply. Obviously, they care only about one thing; How much money they can make. As I was not advised that there was no elevator, and we were told that we could check out early by a representative of the hotel, I feel that a refund should be sent to me. I finally received an email from them advising me that there would be no refund, and also saying; “We will also reach out to the sites you have left reviews on and have these removed and take action on the reviews you have left”. Pretty incredible that they cannot back up their employee or representative of their company, and follow through with what was promised. Had I been told there would be no refund, I would have not booked another hotel for that night! What is the point of a review if the Hotel can get them taken off! Is the point of reviews for the traveller only to listen to good reviews or the truth. I feel customer satisfaction keeps people coming back! IN RESPONSE TO THE HOTEL; A representitive of the Hotel told us we can check out and we would get a refund. I did contact the 3rd party, which is American Express and they advised me that the hotel had to give the refund!

Michał was amazing as our server, and Maddie did a fab job at welcoming us and making us feel at ease. The food was well prepared and very nicely plated - it was interesting to learn about the preparation and origins of it.
Noemi D — Google review
This place treated us terribly. We went in and I was immediately greatest by a visibly upset employee who stated he couldn't seat us but told us we could wait for the host. Once the host arrived she said that it would take 2 minutes to fix the table (please note the restaurant was empty). We waited patiently for 5-10 minutes when a European couple arrived (please keep in mind we are latino) they were instantly graded with a smile and quickly seated in the main dining area that was still empty. she approached me and told me that it was still going to be another four minutes for a table (again, the restaurant was still empty). at this point, I felt disrespected and sidelined simply because the color of my skin. I don’t know if it was a race thing, but I find it incredibly unfortunate on my first trip to Scotland. with that being said, there’s a beautiful restaurant right around the corner that was happy to sit us and serve us. avoid this place at all cost. being humiliated is not worth a $12 lobster roll.

It boasts an extensive collection of over 17,000 objects that trace the history of golf from the 15th century to modern times. Visitors can explore exhibits showcasing the evolution of the game, interactive displays for children, and a rooftop cafe.
Small but nicely decorated museum with lots of interactive displays and golf history to view
Dennis J — Google review
If you like golf in any way this is for you with lots of old historical data on the game and lots of interactive displays, it even has a small putting area for you to try out. There was a quiz for kids to do where they need to find out some information from various displays and there is even a crafting room with lots of things for the kids to do, it's about 100 yards from the aquarium.
Paul F — Google review
Staff were friendly, welcoming and lovely. It’s small but very interesting for a keen golfer, not so much for muggles. £17.50 is steep for a small museum.
Jeff M — Google review
Very informative museum with many interesting displays for passionate golfers. Staff were amazing including Steve and his female colleague in the gift shop. They were friendly and helpful and enjoyed a bit of banter and gave suggestions to a local caleigh. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Thank you from the Aussie who wants to be buried in his St Andrew's vest.
Neil P — Google review
Very interesting for golf lovers with lots of cool items. Super knowledgeable and keen staff. They even put on a kids craft activity when we were there which was very welcomed.
Jana R — Google review
A place enshrined with the wonder of golf. Though relatively small, it feels like a sanctuary for the appreciation and understanding of the history of golf from its early days on the wild hinterlands of Scotland to its development in the nineteenth century as a popular and widely appreciated game for the wealthy and fashionable attempting to connect with that ancient past. Now anyone can come and appreciate the clubs and balls that contributed to that history. There is a quiet calm and ceremonial serenity to this place that only the presence of centuries of stories and yearnings and artifacts can provide. Note especially the elegance and stylish design of the Claret Jug.
Joshua F — Google review
My golf mad sons enjoyed looking around. Well worth a visit. No pictures from inside but here are some around the area as there is so much golf history outside the museum too.
Cass G — Google review
AWESOME place with extremely friendly staff. We couldn’t have been treated nicer, or been better informed. The sweet ladies behind the counter even gave us recommendations for lunch based on a bunch of different criteria, and spent time telling us things we wouldn’t have known otherwise. The museum itself is super cool, and gives a great and succinct history of the game and it’s equipment. The former champion displays with a former golf club, or apparel item was cool to see - they even have a replica Claret Jug that is fully updated in its engravings. Overall we had a wonderful time and were very glad we stopped by!

Really enjoyed the food here. Small area for tables inside along with a bar and coffee machine. Lunch menu offered various selections. Service was good, bread, water all brought to table. We had crab and lobster ancinni to start. Lovely sauce and cheese crisp. The lamb was tender and gravy with vegetables to be recommended.

I’ve been to the Hotel Russell twice now for dinner, and I highly recommend. They are extremely accommodating! My party had several people with allergies and they were able to provide them so many options and really great food! The staff is lovely and so kind.

Shared an excellent meal here with friends. From the outside s traditional unassuming pub with a good selection of ales and spirits. In the back rooms a small number of quiet tables and food that is top draw. Nothing overly fancy but well selected meats and vegetables cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend and eat there again.

Visited for drinks, coffee and food while staying next door. Friendly welcome from bar staff. Grant, David Pierre and a young lady. Who always greeted us with a smile and had a chat with us. Great service. we ordered. and they brought our drinks outside to our table. The bar area was always busy with guests and tourists. Worth a visit See you all again next time ;)

Great hotel which looks right onto the beach and is a five minute walk to the main street. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the beds are really comfy. Although the bar area is small the bar is well stocked and the staff are great you can eat in the restaurant or the bar but its worthwhile booking a table as it was really busy, the menu offers a great choice and the food was absolutely delicious and even though the bar was packed and the restaurant was fully booked with a wedding party Grant and the bar staff coped brilliantly and made sure all the customers were happy as did the chef and the kitchen . The breakfast in the morning is not to be missed it is fantastic and sets you up for the day. This hotel is absolutely worth a visit, we are definitely planning to stay again.

Cosy, friendly, excellent food both in the pub and in the restaurant at the back. A good choice of local beers and whiskies. Great cocktails as well. The Sunday roast is to be recommended. One of the best places for a quiet night out in St Andrews. Very busy in the Summer season with golf tourists. Popular with faculty.

Cold and frosty, entering the lounge with a lovely fire on was a great start to the day. Had a lovely lunch, food was excellent. Julie looked after us so well she and her assistant were very attentive.

Perfect place to stay if you want to play the old course. The hotel staff entered us in the old course lottery—and we got one of the coveted tee times. Located just a few hundred feet from the first tee. Comfortable accommodations. Hotel bar was our favorite bar in town with most character. Dinner was very good as well.

Pret A Manger is a popular sandwich shop with a wide range of sandwiches and salads. The hot soup was great and the coffee was always fresh. The tables were spaced out well and there was good provision for sanitising etc. Note for students and workers with laptops, there is now a 1 hour table limit!
We go to Pret in lots of different towns because they always have a great healthy selection of snacks and drinks. Staff were friendly and helpful. Venue was clean and tidy.

Racial Attacked During our school visit to St. Andrew's, we decided to grab lunch at Pret so we could work and eat at the same time. However, when we arrived, we were approached and told we couldn’t eat our own food, despite seeing other students enjoying their lunch boxes without any issues. Even though we were still planning on buying food from Pret. When we tried to chat with our friend while standing, we were informed that we could not reserve a table for ourselves and then asked to leave. It was frustrating, especially as three black students on a school trip.

A lovely place to sit for a coffee on a sunny morning
Rupert F — Google review
Food was quite expensive and drinks were not especially hot although hot chocolates were not bad and it was a seat out of the cold. Food and drinks were served in takeaway cups which didn't feel particularly welcoming as we were dining inside. Service was OK but could have been a bit cheerier. Their toilet system is also annoying as you need a receipt to get in to them and we were not given a receipt at the till. However all that being said, their chocolate croissant was quite tasty.
Rachel D — Google review
So slow every time… one person on the till, one making coffee is not enough at lunchtime. Please sort it out - it’s costing Pret a Manager a fortune and disappointing for all of us who don’t like waiting in a queue for 12 mins to pay for a sandwich

The Chicken Pot Pie hot soup was amazing and great coffee as ever; good to be back, tables well spaced out now and good provision for sanitising etc.; note for students and workers with laptops, there is now a 1 hour table limit!

best pret, super clean, all the staff are so so nice. there is not always seating available, esp. on weekday afternoons during term time, but that's to be expected. even when it's crazy busy they still manage to make the drinks super fast and you don't have to wait at the counter for someone.

Eden Mill on Market Street is a simply streamlined shop offering great golf gin- perfect to buy as a unique gift! Their representative working did a great job welcoming us. She also provided a knowledgeable tasting on the spot. Nice stop while shopping along Market Street near St. Andrews.

Great little shop in the centre of St Andrews. Good choice and ratings available too. Only downside, they don't have carrier bags to buy (only gift bags at £1)

Nestled in the heart of St Andrews, Six Murray Park Guest House is a charming family-run establishment that radiates warmth and hospitality. Guests rave about the cozy, well-decorated rooms and the delightful home-cooked breakfast that sets a perfect tone for the day. Just a short stroll from the iconic Old Course and local eateries, this guesthouse offers an ideal base for exploring historical sites. The friendly owners, Tony and El, create an inviting atmosphere where guests feel like part of the family.
A Perfect Stay in the Heart of St. Andrews I can't say enough good things about my recent stay at Six Murray Park Guest House. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth by the wonderful proprietors, Tony and El, whose hospitality is truly second to none. They have created something special—a guest house that feels both impeccably run and deeply personal. Tony and El go out of their way to make every guest feel at home. Whether it's offering thoughtful recommendations, home cooking your breakfast, or just checking in with a friendly smile, their attention to detail and commitment to service are outstanding. It’s clear they take immense pride in what they do, and it shows in every aspect of the experience. The location is unbeatable—tucked on a charming street in the heart of St. Andrews, just a short walk from the Old Course, the university, and the town’s wonderful shops and restaurants. Whether you’re here to golf, explore the coast, or soak up the historic atmosphere, you couldn’t ask for a better base. The rooms are spotless, stylish, and comfortable. Breakfast is a treat—fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented each morning (don't pass up on Tony's french toast!). If you're heading to St. Andrews, staying at Six Murray Park is a great choice. I’ll be back without hesitation.

Cannot recommend 6 Murray Park enough. The rooms, service, and location were fantastic. About a 3 minute walk from the Old Course and within walking distance to pretty much any pub or restaurant you could want to go as well as old historical sites throughout the town. The best part has to be the service however, home cooked breakfast every morning, room cleaning every day, and Tony and El are two of the nicest people you will ever meet and know about all the good spots in town to visit. Will book again next trip
Matthew F — Google review
Tony and El were the best host to our golf group and I'm very sure to anyone vacationing in the area. The rooms were superb with service everyday and the location far exceeded what I was expecting. The Six Murray Park Guest House was walking distance to restaurants, coffee houses, local convenient store for personal necessities and the exciting part, St. Andrews Old Course itself! If you can't hear the excitement and fun I personally had in my comments, I'm need to retype it because it was that much fun and I was so comfortable with our living arrangements. Thank you Tony and El for the Scotland Golf experience from the Home of Golf and the people of Scotland!

Myself and 3 other friends had the great pleasure to stay at Six Murray Park for 6 nights in May 2024 as part of our 9 day golf adventure to Scotland. Our group utilized a golfing booking company that introduced us to Tony and El at Six Murray Park. As organizer of the group, I exchanged a few emails a couple months ahead of our stay and Tony/El were quick to respond, friendly and answered all of my questions! We were warmly welcomed on the day of our arrival. We were able to settle in comfortably, unpack and get to enjoy and a small taste of living in St. Andrews. Every morning as we came downstairs for breakfast, we were greeted with a warm hello, asking us about our previous day and seating us down for our delicious meal. Tony and El provided excellent service but for our group, their desire to get to know their guests, ask about our lives, careers and families showed how wonderful they are as business owners but more importantly, the genuine caring people they are!! The location is a golfers dream. A few minute walk and you are looking down the 1st/18th fairways of the Old Course, or a walk to the beach, or a casual stroll through the town made us fall in love with St. Andrews. This trip was years in the making and it lived up to everything we could ever imagine, and even more. As I (and our group) looks back upon the trip now being home almost 4 weeks, will talk fondly about this trip for the rest of our lives, and Tony & El at Six Murray Park will always be part of that story. We have already said, if we ever decide to go back to St. Andrews, will be staying here again! Thank you Tony & El for being part of memorable trip and experiences. We can’t thank you enough. Hope to see you again in the future. - Jeff

I have officially been spoiled! My first visit to Saint Andrews, 5-12 June, and in particular our stay at 6 Murray Park, were impeccable. Tony and El took great care to ensure every person in our 10-person group (8 golfers and 2 spouses) were very well taken care of. They even cared to remember each individual's name. We were greeted upon arrival and provided an orientation to our accommodations and stay. Our rooms were serviced daily, and also neat, clean and comfortable. The daily breakfast was a treat, and they always ensured our transport to the golf courses was always seen after. They provided details for our spouses to ensure their days were filled with sight seeing, shopping, restaurants to visit while the men were playing golf. This was a memorable trip that will always be cherished in part due to Tony and El. I will steer anyone I know in their direction and highly recommend anyone else visiting Saint Andrews to seek a stay with them.
Curtis N — Google review
Tony and El made my trip to St Andrew’s seamless. I simply booked a room at Six Murray and followed Tony’s suggestions and all fell into place- with a wee bit of luck. Tony helped me with rental clubs and provided advice on how a single with no other prior planning should navigate playing the old course, the new course and Jubilee- which I played over 3 days in that order. He even had the weather and train schedule figured out for me- notifying me that trains were going to stop running because of a storm after 9am. I would have not made it to my next destination that day if he didn’t alert me to leave earlier than planned. Accommodations and breakfast were great- location couldn’t be more convenient and Tony and El, priceless.
Matt G — Google review
I’ll start by saying that the next time I come to St Andrews, my first call will be an enquiry to Tony & El for availability at Six Murray Park! They are the most lovely couple that you immediately feel a connection with. While St Andrews has plenty of activities to keep you busy, your breakfast at Six Murray Park feels like the center of your day. With Tony & El preparing your food while exchanging stories and conversations with all the guests, breakfast hour is an event not to be missed. The rooms are well appointed and they can make most accommodations to make you comfortable. I was traveling from The States and they provided international electric plug adapters. Tony & El can also assist with dinner recommendations/reservations, activity ideas, and even arranging transportation. All of this with the most convenient location in town. Only a block away from the R&A Clubhouse in one direction, a block or two in the other direction for restaurants and pubs, and also a short walk down The Scores from the beautiful Castle and Cathedral ruins. Communication with Tony & El was simple! I booked my stay a few months in advance and had numerous questions before I arrived; my many emails were promptly answered. Or a quick phone call will get you sorted. They have the motto, “There are no strangers in our house, only friends we are yet to meet.” You certainly feel that way from your first interaction. I cannot recommend Six Murray Park enough! Thank you Tony & El! -Tim

The property offers seven contemporary bedrooms, an enclosed garden, and laundry services. Guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast and access to heated club storage for golf enthusiasts. The convenient location allows easy access to the town center shops, University of St Andrews, cinema, and local places of interest.
Really excellent breakfasts. Home made jams. Home baked banana bread. Proper scrambled eggs...none of the microwave jobs a lot of places do. Lots of nice touches like a towelling robe in the bathroom, fresh fruit available all day. Beautiful situation beside golf course and beach. I felt very looked after here. Nice friendly people who own it too. Very helpful.

We enjoyed St. Andrews. Our stay at B&B was wonderful. Great facility clean, nice room, big bathroom, comfortable beds. Perfect location easy walk to golf course, beach, downtown and college. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast delicious! Nice pub next door but not loud in evening. No elevator. We would stay here again.
Denise G — Google review
Nice B&B - very helpful owners - they made contact with me on my mobile on the day of my arrival so that they would be around when I arrived. Rooms are quite small but clean and mine had a small bathroom with toilet. Good location - public car parking is 5 minutes away. Very close to town centre. The old course clubhouse is just around the corner, next to the beach - beautifully. Excellent breakfast - all the guests sit at the same table so make sure you are down early (breakfast starts at 8am, ends at 9am) to get a place.

Hazelbank Hotel was amazing, perfect location in St Andrews, walking distance from everything. Michael and Marian were awesome hosts, my son and I enjoyed our morning conversations with them while eating a perfect breakfast to get our days in St Andrews started. There is only one place in St Andrews that we will stay on our return trip and that is Hazelbank. Thank you Michael and Marian.

Michael and Marion - the owners - are outstanding hosts, and the accommodations and service exceeded any expectations we had. Our golf group was at Hazelbank for 4 nights, and parting with them was sweet sorrow. The breakfasts were 5 stars as well. Definitely will be on our return visit!

Myself and two friends got booked here thru a golf travel company and we could not imagine a better hotel for our stay. The location is perfect...ground zero for everything and yet very quiet and cozy. The proprietors, Michael and Marion (and all the staff) made our stay truly memorable. Very thoughtful and welcoming people. My father was supposed to go on the trip as well but couldn’t make it due to health reasons.. upon hearing this, Michael generously gave me a very nice gift to take home to him. Very personal touch these folks bring. When I come back I know where I will be staying. Thanks for everything guys!

They went out of their way to make my stay in St. Andrews and hotel memorable and special by giving me detailed suggestions on where to go. St Andrews Brewing Co. is a popular local craft beer brewery with two locations, one of which unfortunately closed in 2019. The original location on South Street offers the unrivaled St Andrews oatmeal stout and has plenty of open space, attracting students from the University of St Andrews. The brewery quickly made its mark on the town's pub scene, offering an extensive selection of local craft brews like Yippie IPA and Crail Ale.
Went on a St Andrews Brewery tour today whilst on a weekend break. Would highly recommend. Graeme was very friendly and knowledgeable and it was great fun learning about the brewing process. Really enjoyed all of the beers we tasted despite not being a huge beer drinker. Visited the pub in St Andrews for a few beers and will definitely be back and will recommend to friends x
Gillian F — Google review
Great efforts have been made to present an attractive and informal ambience in this marquee outside the brewing company headquarters. It is open ended and therefore "outdoors", but there are high mounted down heated to assist with comfort. They can supply Pizza's and naturally, their beer is very good. We had a great lunch and staff were friendly and communicative.
Malcolm M — Google review
Had a great tour from Graham who was engaging and knowledgeable. He gave us tasters of the different stages of brewing too - a really good experience! Would recommend for anyone even if you're not wildly into beer as it's interesting to know how it's produced
