This casual restaurant did not disappoint. I was very happy with my meal. The service was good and friendly. Tried some local Gujarati delicacies. “Methi gota” which is a deep fried snack made from chickpea flour, fenugreek leaves (methi), spices and herbs, and “puri shak” which is deep fried Indian bread (puri) eat with spiced potato peas curry (shak). Both dishes were very nice and delicious. I was very full by the time I finished the meal. Price is reasonable for the amount of food.

The kind of place you go to for unpretentious always delicious food. Although they offer traditional Gujarati snacks and south indian snacks, everyone truly was there for the fafda and jalebi. Also must try are the lilva kachori and khaman Dhokla. Go in expecting little and come out with a delicious memory. Just a side note? The place is expensive for what it offers in terms of its infrastructure and ambience.

It’s priced fairly & everything is delicious! Some newfound sisters and I went to town together and our local friend recommended Swati Snacks. There is katputli dance, Rajasthani dance, utensils museum, art gallery about gandhiji. Go there 1 hour before you are hungry. Spend some time in other activities then have your delicious food.

My mama took me here to try this place in Ahmedabad. The Gujarati thali is delicious with 4 different sabjis, aam ras, dhokla, Farsan, salad 🥗 , chaas, sweet, rice, kadhi and dal. I loved the white kadhi, chapati and sabjis. Please beware that there is limited parking space which could be a problem if you’re with family. Cutting a mark cos the toilets were dirty, the service is not upto the mark. Even the manager is kind of rude but hey the food is nice I must say. Your stomach does not feel bloated after you’re done with the meal. Wish the hygiene and cleanliness was a notch higher.

Had to experience the Gujju Thali in the most authentic way , and it is here in Gotdhan Thal restaurant. Was packed even though it was 2:30 in the day . Super fast service and stuff is always ready and they make sure u get whenever something in finished in this all you can eat vegetarian meal. It is a very peculiar city as it's the capital of a dry state ( no alcohol ) and also 95% of restaurants serving only vegetarian dishes. It was good fun , though I had to skip the dinner as expected I overate by a mile.

The service was also good and floor managers keep a hawk eye on every plate and ask servers to server specific food items which you finished off and it seems like how guests being feed at any Indian home. Buffet is a joke here. Absolutely no options. 1 paneer 1 veg subji. 1 pasta. Rest all basics roti rice & dal. No dessert counter. No live counter. No option in subji, rice, starters, etc. That's it. And no cleanliness in the place. We reached at 2 o'clock in noon. The people who previously had buffet might have spilled some food in buffet area which was kept as it is. I was shocked and was in disbelief that is this really sheraton hotel? The food trays were soiled with food which was dropped by others. It felt like a langar was completed there and things were left as it is. Looked really pathetic. I had booked through zomato so booking amount I paid went in vain. I was ok to leave that amount rather than eating there.

had a wonderful experience during my stay, and a big part of that was thanks to Goutam. From the moment I arrived, he was welcoming, polite, and always ready to help with anything I needed. His attention to detail and warm attitude made me feel truly at home. The room was clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable. Goutam made sure everything was in perfect order and checked in regularly to ensure I had everything I needed. His dedication to providing great service really stood out. Overall, Goutam’s professionalism and friendly nature made my stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend him for anyone looking for excellent service and a pleasant hotel experience.

Went there for dinner with family and was quite a good experience. Although not so good options in menu(buffet) for non-veg, the quality was bit up-to the mark. Apart from that, service was decent and staff responsiveness was amazing. Polite, humble and friendly staff. They also asked us if we want any other dish to be prepared that too without our request.

The buffet served was not at all tasty nor worthy as it is charged. The ac was not working. They don’t have much variety of starter in buffet and nor any mocktail is included. The service is very slow. The air conditioning is not proper.

Beautiful Restaurant of four points by sheraton Ahmedabad, Different seating style with buffet layout around the corner, even near lift landing areas theh have few separate seatings, Small corner table like private Dinning they have, good selection of food choices and buffet variety, So far Taj Skyline i have seen biggest buffet around with many choices. The restaurant is small but well managed. We went for breakfast. Standing dine in option is available. Delicious foods are there. Chutneys are so tasty. I like papaya chutney more tasty. Take ticket from the ticket counter and give it to the food counter. Self service. Take food items from the food counter and after finished of eating throw the disposable plates in the dustbin. Small place is available to wash hands and drinking water. And mineral water bottle is also available. No utensils and plastics are used to serve, they used only disposable papers. was rudely reprimanded by the owner for taking an extra small disposable bowl for chutney. Instead of focusing on serving customers with respect, the owner seemed more worried about saving ₹1 than upholding basic hospitality. Look at the size of bowl which was more concerned to the owner . It’s shocking that a place claiming to serve food with warmth treats paying customers with such disrespect. If a single disposable bowl is such a big issue for them, it speaks volumes about their priorities—profit over hospitality. "Atithi Devo Bhava" clearly means nothing here.

We went for breakfast. Shop was little busy. People there are very cordial. Very limited food options. Take away facility is also available. So many people are taking breakfast over the counter in prepaid mode. Standing dine in options available for 40 people at a time. Very spacious and clean. No utensils are used to serve the food. Only disposable piece of paper are used. So no cleaning required. Very much hygienic.

Ordered jalebi and gathiya from Laxmi Gathiya, but neither sambhara nor chutney was provided. Paid ₹900 and the quality wasn’t worth even ₹10. Worst experience ever.

This is a great old school eatery. Loved the fare and I was happy to find that everything tastes just as good as it used to taste a decade ago. Everything is freshly prepared, tastes authentic and gets delivered to your at lightning speed. It was also good to know that they have a good packaging option available if you want to travel with any of the dishes. I would have given it a 5/5 if there were were bette seating options. Kudos to the management and staff for running this establishment and maintaining its authenticity over the ages. - AB

Delicious food and very courteous staff who’ll make sure you are over fed. The ambience is good to look at but the music falls out of the place. Should play some good Gujarati tracks rather than run of the mill cafe songs.

Few days back I visited this Gopi Dining Hall, Anand Nagar, Ahmedabad. We took parcel for dinner with group of friends. Parcel was packed in good manner. If you want really not like many options and only taste lover than it's the perfect place for you. Super authentic gujarati taste and quality of richness in every item. Good place to enjoy authentic gujarathi thali. Start with papad, dhakala, kachari, puri, roti, chapati with three vegetables. Gujarathi dal and kadhi. Two sweets. All is unlimited. Ambience is ok. Proper hygiene is maintained. Location is good.

I recently visited Laxmi Gathiya Rath, and while the food was decent, I felt it didn't quite live up to the hype. The gathiya was crispy and fresh, but I found the flavors to be a bit too oily for my taste.

Visited this place after so much long time for ganthiya and vati dalna khaman.The taste of ganthiya is enhanced by the chatni served with it only.But the chatni was tasteless. Taste has changed with the time.But the taste of khaman has remained unchanged.It was superb.Just visit once for ganthiya and khaman.

The prices here are a bit high, but it's totally worth it if you eat at the place itself. You can enjoy unlimited servings of papaya chutney, spicy chilies, and delicious kadhi. Additionally, the place is exceptionally neat and clean, making it a pleasant dining experience. It's definitely one of the best spots near Shastrinagar. Highly recommended for a satisfying meal!

The oldest and famous sweet makers in the ahmedabad and also, they served fix lunch and other roti sabji items. For sweets, our most favourite item is gulab jamun. My whole family always asked me to grab some gulab jamun and other sweet items such as rasmalai from only this outlet which is the oldest shop in the heritage city area. Most amdavadis know about this shop as they have served for many years.

We tried their bakery. I bought some typical gujarathi sweets like montal,makki majju etc... The sweets are making in ghee itself. The quality also good. They have their restuarant also...but we did not try that due to lack of time...

Third visit Jan 2020, yes I kind of like this place. Had Undhiyu & puri. Quite good, but different from the undhiyu available in Surat. Pic attached. Fourth visit Mar 2020. Had Aloo Bhindi Masala. V good. Bhindi and Aloo were cooked just right, aloo was buttery soft, bhindi was not over cooked. Masala was good, to my taste, not too punjent. Had Shahi Falooda, did not care too much for it. Prefer regular falooda. This one had too much of chopped fruit and the quality of ice cream was not too good. Pics attached as usual. This restaurant is a worth a visit if you are in Ahmedabad.

Usually the sweets are always nice, yesterday we ordered ghewar, peda, and gujiya for karwachauth celebration. When we had the gujiya, it was so stale and spoilt, that the filling had turned green. Looked like it was fungus. My family members got unwell consuming it, and I have kept the gujiya as I will be taking strict action, as food is not something that can be taken lightly, it directly affects the consumers health. I ordered through swiggy, they didn't care, i am sure restaurant will have the same attitude, not expecting much here, but this was extremely disappointing. This is totally not acceptable!!

Not fresh. It should be hot and made freshly but they sent bad quality product...Kamse kam fresh banake toh bhejo instead of sending pehle se bana hua maal. I will never order again from this place! They send stale chutney as well.

I had a disappointing experience due to the behavior of one of the owners. Their approach to customer communication was quite unprofessional and disrespectful, which left a very negative impression.

Recommend obviously because they make you live gathiya, fafda, jalebi, khaman, etc. Even sometime in noon so it's a really good option for gathiya lover in Nikol and uttamnagar area. Chatni is also good. They give you many mirch as you want. So yes and you can dine in or take out.

Amazing place for vanela gathiya and fafda ......they make it in front of you hence you get good hot food ....taste was great.

Very good Test of FAFDA, GANTHIYA ( હાથ થી વણેલા ) and JALEBI with chatni and chhin of papaiya.. Fafda is very slim.. It desolve in mouth as soon as eating... In the season of mango means in summary they searve small peace of row mango with chatni and add test of its own... fried green chilly also a aptilizer.... As per my knowledge they have two branches one at Bapunagar and another at Odhav... Both have good service and good hospitality.. Best option for breakfast..

Samosa Kachori mix plate is awesome. Its a must try. Other farsan are also good. Their papdi and fafda are also thin and economical comparatively. Would recommend to taste their namkeen especially mix plate mentioned above.

Staff is very arrogant and behave like customers are baggers. Everything cost double here and no hygiene standards.
