Tapa King was a nice place to try! I ordered the Spicy Classic Tapa, the serving was generous and worth the price. The food was delicious, a great example of classic Pinoy silog meals. Service was fast and friendly, and the place was clean and well-maintained. Definitely a good spot for a satisfying Filipino meal.

Place is quite hidden and small. Nevertheless, it was well ventilated and barely crowded. Most of the people waiting here are food delivery riders for grab & foodpanda pick-up. Plan your visit well and alot extra time for your orders in case you dine in or take out. This branch is severely understaffed. There's only two employees. So please take that into consideration and be nice. Despite the situation, they were approachable, warm welcoming and kind. Surprised also that the serving size was huge for its price. The drip coffee was on a medium note, but not sour which is whats important. The atsara was not to my taste. Overall, the combination of the tapa queen i ordered with the freshly cooked garlic rice and egg was good as it was served hot. Thank you for the breakfast.

Tried the combination plate with the meat and fish. Wasn’t busy when I was there, but saw they had a book for the waitlist at the front. So I assume it’s usually busier in the evening/night and weekends.

AMBIENCE We just found this place by chance when we were walking by the area. It's a really tiny branch but cozy, peaceful, and quiet. FOOD Kangkong was crunchy and garlicky. No frills. Boneless Bangus (milkfish) was probably marinated in vinegar already but it turned out well. The best part of our dine-in was the Beef Bulalo. Broth was very hot and tasty. Corn was very easy to cut row by row and the beef was appetizingly big, tender, and umami! SERVICE Standard service. All good.

I had Tinapa, Tocino, and Bacon at Kanto Freestyle Makati, and everything was excellent. The food was flavorful, well-cooked, and served in generous portions. I especially appreciated how the dishes tasted fresh and authentic, giving that true comfort food experience. Service was fast and accommodating, and the casual atmosphere made the meal even more enjoyable. Definitely a great spot to satisfy cravings any time of the day.

The food was very good and the place was decent enough to accommodate guests. However, what's disappointing is their pricing since our actual bill didn’t match what was stated on their menu. We expected to pay under 500 php but ended up being charged over 100+ php more. It’s frustrating and feels misleading. We hope they update their prices or at least inform customers if there's any changes ahead of time.

I searched for breakfast places near our Hotel in Makati. and Kanto popped up as an option. It has a good rating, so we went to check it out. I would be lying if I said the food here was anything less than delicious. We ordered the waffles with a side of scrambled eggs, a chicken longgeniso bowl, and hash browns covered with basted eggs. The 3 meals along with Coffee and juice came to a little over $10 US. It was really tasty. I might have to eat here again tomorrow before we fly out.

I've been coming here many times over the past year, and I finally decided to write a review. The food is very good (love the tocino, French toast, and crispy corned beef), and the restaurant is conveniently open 24/7 (mostly). However, service is not consistent. Some workers on some days are kind, attentive, and timely; at other times, workers are NOT attentive, and service can be unnecessarily slow, even when there are only a few customers. Furthermore, prices are a bit too high for a number of dishes relative to the quantity of each serving provided, such as the garlic chicken. I will return for the food (especially my favorite dishes) at times, but I'm hoping positive changes will be around the corner. There is DEFINITELY room for improvement.

Okay food. More chances to improve service. Arrived at around 9:45am on a Sunday. Pancake house has a lot of customers. Had to queue, first in line and wait for around 10-15mins to be seated for 4pax. However, I’ve noticed there was another group ~4pax accommodated before us. Not sure if they cut in line. Placed us in an awkward table with a beam dividing our group (see pic) despite seeing other long tables left unfilled during our whole stay. Once another table was available, we asked to move. The staff were somewhat attentive to our needs. Food arrived in less than 20mins compared to what they have told us *after* ordering. Good food. However, chicken size/portion seemed smaller than usual. Great coffee by yardstick.

Pancakes are good. Other food is also good (I like the tapa) but unfortunately the amount of food per dish is not enough personally for the price. Service was okay, not great but not bad. They forgot some small requests and took several times pressing the bell (we sat outside) to get service.

I just ordered a take-away pancake for one person, but it took 30 mins for it to arrive. I understand that there were many people having brunch and it was tough for the staff as well. Given that I just ordered take-out, I volunteered to go to the counter to pay to save time and effort on their part. When I asked a staff, she was a bit frowning, totally not accommodating and I felt like a bother. Anyway she still directed me to where I should pay. The branch manager was taking care of the bills, and she was cranky to both the staff assisting her and me. Food was good but if the service crew is like this, many people would opt to skip this branch after getting this experience so I hope the management should try to do better.

Orders took so long & staff kept forgetting our orders…. But food was good. Only downside is that a lot of our orders were missed so we had to keep making follow ups. Omelette was the easiest order and yet it was the last one to arrive.

This is one of the not so good restaurant I ever tried in Makati so far. 1.Poor customer service. Took 20 minutes before someone took our order. 30 minutes to serve 3 tapas (with follow ups). Waiter don't mind us asking for spoon and fork. Same with the serving. Drinks were served when were about to be finished. We asked for the bill but waiters didn't mind again so we went straight to the counter but took long again. 2. Place could have been better due to acceessibility around CBD and affordable meals. 3. Open air. No aircon as designed.I 4. Nothing special with the food.

Awesome, always a favorite even before their place on Kalayaan was torn down to give way to a mall. They now have an A. VENUE branch, open 24 hours. They have changed their menu, I miss the Humba and Bulalo. Still what's left on the menu is good enough for me, like the Danggit Silog. Beer is served, and it's reasonably priced. Not much choices for pulutan, I manage with Tokwa't Baboy always. Service is a bit wanting, the staff always seem to be busy inside even when there's no customers. The guard somehow helps to call their attention when needed.

I remember this place when i visited the place it was a great experience because if you are a type of customer who like tapa. I highly recommend this place. It is a little bit expensive however the packaging and the opportunity to stay it is overwhelming. It is usually crowded during lunch time. As far as I remember they don't have wireless connection. Food is awesome.

This is the WORST rufo's branch! We ordered 12 hours in advance, they delivered 1 hour late! & there was a missing item in our order. PASEO RUFO'S BRANCH IS THE WORST.

This spot is reliable for a satisfying meal, especially if you’re tired of fast food or need a bite after a night out. The food is decent and does the job, though it’s not particularly special. The place itself is basic—just a room where food is served. It’s a good option for a straightforward meal without any fuss.

Recovery Food is a chill spot, they should really play some lof-fi music to compliment the chill-ness. My grilled tuna was very flavorful! I believe it was Albacore tuna due to the light color. This place reminds me of the old school diners from a distant past.

Recovery Food eats a tiny square in a building where almost, if not all spots, are rented by restaurants and cafes. Inside are about 10 tables, with a mirror on one side giving the illusion that it’s bigger than its actual size. Prices and serving size are reasonable. The flavors fit the Filipino palate, as they’re usually the ones your tongues meet in a beer session. I was surprised that they serve fast as well. We ordered three dishes and we were able to have our first bite just 7 minutes after ordering. Their air-conditioner makes you feel like you’re somewhere north ❄️

You would want to be sick if your recovery food is this good. I'm a morning person and I don't mind waking up to eat this everyday. I love that they have maintained the quality of their food since my last visit around 3 years ago. The tapa was tender and flavorful. You will find some fat here and there but nothing worth calling your doctor. The brown rice and egg are perfect match for the tapa. Sadly they have not maintained the place well. It looked old and the atmosphere was dark. It's high time that they do some quick touch ups to make the place lively again.

A good place for breakfast and late night dinners. A small but cozy resto that caters hearty Filipino breakfast meals. Their in-house Bacon, 'Barcialog' is super tasty and tender tho a bit on the fatty side. It's good, I recommend it, great for a post work out meal!

The crispy adobo with white rice and egg was not seasoned and the crispy adobo tasted like yesterday's grill scrapings. The meat was tough And could not be fully chewed. The kitchen is filthy and the photos I posted show that the staff doesn't really care and as a result I would not recommend this place.

Wanted to try this place and did not expect much. They have elevated silog meals the small size at 175 plenty enough for one to be full. Great flavors and servings and were surprised that meals here were affordable. Tip: sampaloc juice was amazing and perfect for sampaloc lovers!

Sinangag is day old rice that's been fried usually with garlic. This restaurant makes excellent sinangag which goes very well with their food such as beef tapa, pork tocino, sisig, boneless bangus and different kinds of longanisa. All with fried egg. Their food is affordable with each meal at less than ₱200.

I’ve been here several times before. I’m happy to report that I’m happy with the dining experience overall this time! The place was very clean and organized. The service was prompt, not too long a wait for our food. The food tasted better! the Tokwa’t Baboy was fresh cooked. I ordered a Vigan Longanisa here but the utensils are plastic, so how can you separate the tiny rope (i dunno what it is called) attached from the skin of the longanisa using it? My spoon almost broke. Their VL is also not that good as well as the Sinangag (like those that you can eat in cheaper tapsihans).

Our go to place many years ago is now a no-go. Prices have increased but portions has become smaller. It is definitely NOT value for money anymore plus quality of the food has declined. Service is blah. Had to wait for a cashier for about 2 minutes para lang maka order. Waiting time for the food was worse. 10 minutes bago na serve. Ironically naubusan daw ng sinangag kaya had to make another batch. Go to Jollibee or Chowking to get your rice fix instead. Tapaking is more expensive but sulit ka naman. Goodah not sure. havent been there for years now. nasa Lianas pa dati yung Goodah!

This branch is spacious compared to their stall I used to go to in UP Diliman. Tapsilog is a must try. Flavorful. Try putting in vinegar for a little kick. The bacon that my friend ordered looks sad though. Just stick with the tapsilog.

We ordered lunch for our meeting. Some of the orders were wrong! 2 bottled soda and a dish we’re missing! The taste of the food was pretentious! Not worthwhile!

Restaurant is only open 24 hours from Thursday evening until Sunday morning at 1:00 am. Hours need to be more clear on their website. Food and service was other was good.

I ordered the breaded pork special set (mashed potato side and iced tea drink), and my boyfriend ordered the spicy chicken pilaf. The food was fantastic. The pork was crunchy and hot, but not tough, and it didn't have a stinky porky taste like other pancake houses I've been to. The mushroom soup was also served hot and had just the right amount of saltiness and creaminess. The real star of the show was the chicken in the spicy chicken pilaf. Even though it was chicken breast, it was perfectly tender and juicy with a nice sear. The rice was also well seasoned. The garlic sauce had some raw onions as well, which added a nice freshness to the whole dish. The serving size for the pork was okay for the price, but the serving size for the chicken was a bit small. The servers were also very attentive and quick to assist us. The ordering process and billing out was done very fast. I've been a fan of Pancake House since I was young, and this should be the gold standard of Pancake Houses across PH hahaha 😆❤️

Went here on a Saturday morning and the place was full. I ordered the spicy pork tocino, it was good but ordinary. My husband got the chicken and waffles, was good as well. For desserts, I got myself the Mini classic pancakes with candy-coated choco bites, this one I enjoyed a lot!! The service was generally okay but there’s one staff who I think is intentionally being inattentive. The location of this branch is great, get a table beside the window and you can enjoy dog-watching 🐶🦮

Ordered ham and cheese omelet with mushrooms. It was not cooked all the way. Had French toast. Couldn't eat it cause the put syrup on it. Im diabetic and just wanted it with nothing on it. Side of bacon was good. And no decaffeinated coffee. Won't be coming back here.

This branch gives you a taste of home wherein you are welcomed well by the staff, asks you if you have any concerns, informs you if there’s a delay in your order, and most of all gives 10/10 service to all the customers. On top of that, the food is always amazing. I would say, one of the best Pancake House branch and also my go to!

Their tapsilog is our current favorite go-to breakfast. The waiting time is just short and they have self-service water, soup, and vinegar dips. The tapsilog is sweet and it has beefy umami.

Went here around 3:30 in the afternoon. I had tapsilog and juice. Too little serving of rice for me because the tapa is salty and sweet and so good, you would need an extra rice. The place is spacious. I just hope they will put a door in the entrance because when I was eating, there are children who went inside and asked me for my food. That time I was sooo tired and hungry because that was my first meal of the day. Imagine how awkward it was! My conscience is stronger than my hunger, I guess. They did not even say thank you after I gave them my food :(( Anyway, overall, the food is great and the service is fast since it was after lunch time. If I'm around the area, I will definitely go back here.

Less fortunate people can be seen going in and out eating left over food on the table while other customers are having lunch.there is no main closing door that's why and no security guard at the wide open entrance. I like Sinangag Express for its simple yet delicious food, such as the liemsilog. I always get this item each time i visit the place. Bad thing about them is that when I ordered two items last May 31, 2022 (i.e., liemsilog and bangusilog), they only gave me the senior citizen discount of 20% for just one item (i.e., bangusilog). They said that I will not get discounts for both items. So i cancelled my liemsilog order but kept the bangusilog. Huh? What kind of rule is that? If all the food items are to be eaten in the premises by the senior citizen, then discounts for all those food items must be provided. Not one to surrender due to this injustice, after eating my bangusilog, I went back to the counter. I said i like to order liemsilog. And they said, I will not get any discount for this new order of mine. And i said, when can i come back to order liemsilog and get a discount? After one hour, or after 10 hours? The OIC could not give me an answer. So i left without eating my fave liemsilog. For takeaways, they changed their paper packaging to a plastic one, which is not environmentally sound. I dislike this shift. FYI - a liemsilog costs about 120 pesos. With a senior citizen discount, I just pay 84 pesos. It is great to be a senior citizen in the Philippines, but many eateries are not fully following the rules. Anything that is ordered and eaten by the senior citizen himself (not to be given to and shared with another person) must be discounted.

Had breakfast here today. I had Sinigang na bangus, which was good. Slice of fish was a good size, with plenty vegetables. Good value. I can eat here again to try their other offerings. Simple restaurant, clean and and prompt service.

I tried some of their dishes on the menu; I will always go back to this awesome tapsilog. It's just a matter of whether they will serve you hot fried rice or just warm 🤞 It has parallel parking in front and tight parking on 2F (be mindful of steep ramp).

Fast service. I ordered the bangus because it looked juicy on the menu, but the actual bangus was overcooked. It did not match how it looked on the menu. There was no belly fat, and it was not juicy much.

I first ate at Rodic's more than 20 years ago when I discovered their original branch as an undergrad in UP Diliman. Glad to see they've expanded and now have a more modern, convenient location. The tapa flakes on silog is still good and cheap. Although there seems to be less tapa now than I remember, I'll forgive them given how cheap the meal is at P135. Service is fast and efficient. Rodic's is classic Pinoy diner food food if you're in a rush and on a budget.

Wash room available outside with soap, tissue paper, and alcohol. Free parking is available in front of the store, but it won't be enough if there are a lot of customers.

The Garden Salad was Ok (tasty sauce, but poor selection of vegetable). The burger (superman) was very greasy and the meet was obviously not a good quality.

It's a nice all day breakfast place tucked in the corner of Dela Rosa and Perea. A good 5 to 10 minute walk from Greenbelt or Makati Diamond Residences. Interior reminisces of those old country home style restaurants. Good mood lighting sets a very cozy feel inside. I love the Beef Tapa and the Big Momma Burger here. Its really good. I also liked their Brazo de Mercedes, its a notch above the rest. Their merangue puffs are also really tasty.

Catch up lunch with mentor and teammate, April 2* Convenient location at the corner of Dela Rosa, Perea streets, Makati. The branch seems small with limited seating, but there's indoor and outdoor that can accommodate 20-30 pax total. There are comfy couches indoor. This will have you sit lower than usual vs the table, so might be uncomfy if going there just to eat and not hangout long. The outdoor tables have cute tents for shade, and lots of plants. It can get extra hot at times here though. FOOD Food gives a hearty, comfy and familiar Filipino vibe. Lots of desserts! We absolutely loved the brazo de mercedes (got one slice each) and my mentor took home empanadas, which were available in chicken, corned beef and pork. We got bangus that had a big serving and tasted like tinapa, in a good way. Egg can be cooked based on your preference. 🍳 DECOR Lots of IG-worthy items too. Decor is like a blue and white modern American home filled with desserts! 🧁 SERVICE Patience and understanding is key because expect slower service on peak time -- lunch mostly.

Out and about in Makati and a short walk to nearby Greenbelt (interconnected to Landmark, Glorietta and SM malls), this is close to where I reside in Manila. Lined up with neighboring banks, office buildings and other coffee shops, place is usually packed even on weekends. The pricey menu has a lot to offer from salads to sandwiches, pastas to meals and even pastries (which they bake in-house). Many visits through the years and still standing, still consistent with staff attitude and service.

Had lunch here with friends and while the food was good, it wasn't mindblowing. However, the Toblerone Walnut Torte was! As I'm sure their other baked goodies are, coz they're pricey. The service was superb as the staff were friendly and accommodating. The restroom was clean and had all the amenities you'll need. The interiors were cozy, inviting, and perfect for a lunch date with friends. Even the guard was welcoming. A great dining experience.

Comfort food plus coffee and desserts (available "sugar free" pastries to choose from)! The grilled pork belly barbecue is a must try! Commendable service! Though, you may find it exorbitantly pricey given the scanty serving size of their dishes.

Service is very bad. The staff are not friendly and "welcoming". This is already our second time here, yet this happened again. The food has no flavor and depth. There are no placemats on our desk. The only good thing about them is their Chicken Empanada.

I always love to visit this cafe whenever im craving for beef tapa and 🎂 cakes especially their ensymadas its one of kind and its my all time favourite! 🤩 You must try their Hot Cocoa ☕️ too! It’s a great place for hanging out with friends and family! 😊 Though, its expensive but its worth it! As long as they keep their standards high and maintaining good service. ☺️

We ate at Mary Grace Lucky Chinatown Mall Branch last December 22,2023. We went in around 8:15 pm. We were assisted by their waiter named Janho. He gave us the menu, and while we’re checking the menu, he was tapping his pen on his notebook as if telling us to hurry up. But I just shrugged it off since I just want to eat my food. I ordered prawn salad and a slice of strawberry shortcake while my mom ordered your all day breakfast bangus. I told Janho I wanted my cake to be served later because it should be frozen right (as they’ve advertised ). I don’t want it melting on the table while we’re eating our mains. He agreed and after awhile, my prawn salad was brought out. To my surprise, the cake was in the table as well. I told one of the waitress (Shane) to please put it back in since I have not yet started eating my salad, and my mom’s food was not even brought out yet. She agreed and took the cake inside, after a few mins I think 3-5 mins. My mom’s food was brought out and the cake is once again on the table. We have not yet even started eating. I really find this disrespectful as if tricking me by going behind my back and putting the cake back out. I told Janho server to please put it back in like what we agreed upon in the first place for the cake to be served later. He told me he can do that but they might forget, it is much better to leave it on our table and asked me if I really want to take it back in. I told him yes I wanted it refrigerated while I’m finishing my salad. But he INSISTED, to just leave it there. That is when I lost my appetite and told him to just cancel it. Why would you ask me in the first place if you’ll be the one to decide? When we started eating our food, Janho came back asking us to pay already. We just had 3 mouthfuls, and he’s asking us to pay already. I really find this disrespectful. This was the last straw, your branch definitely has a problem. They are very rude. You cannot ask guests to pay 10% service charge when the service is this bad. We have been patrons of this branch since they’ve opened. The other staffs even recognize us whenever we dine in. We’re here at least once a week. But it seems like their service is deteriorating already.

Just a random dessert time of the day. We had Mary Grace Ensaymada, cheese roll, and 3 cheese. Cheese roll was our favorite but the other 2 were not bad either. Very well complemented with Sangria Iced Tea on a hot afternoon. Even better, we were served well by Mhecky. She was so nice and friendly. So it was great experience altogether.

Food in Mary Grace is always good and delicious! For this branch their service is also very good and the environment is great. The servers were attentive and courteous. This branch is located inside the lucky chinatown mall.

First time Mary Grace patron, well organised restaurant nice decor and helpful staff. We originally came for coffee and some cakes. Looking at the menu prices are up there but from the friends that recommend Mary Grace to us say food is good.

AMBIENCE Although located inside a mall like a number of other branches, the dining experience always feels like we're eating outside a beautiful house with a pleasantly comfortable and cozy vibe. FOOD We ordered the Mary Grace Caesar Salad and Mushroom Cream Pasta based on a wonderful first-time try at their Serendra branch, and I'm happy to say that both are still very delicious, filling, and generously served. Pasta was so thick that getting a pizza would be totally unnecessary. Salad was still very fresh and the veggies and croutons both had a nice crunch to offer. SERVICE We might've had to wait a little bit but it was okay because we had wonderful friends to chat with.

This is just sad. Complete deterioration of quality. Small portions and food photos are waaaay to far from the actual product. Chicken is dry and lumpiang shanghai is all wrapper and no filling.

The spring chicken was still in the winter as it was still frozen. I pointed out to the server about the raw cold piece. They heated my pieces in a microwave and gave them back. This is chicken they should have provided a fresh serving cooked properly. The mango shake was good. Crab and corn soup ok. Customer service needs lots of improvement.

Max's restaurant is one of the most popular in manila, it is because of their friend chicken is truly "Sarap to the Bones". I have to note to the freshly baked goodies are also good too. and the rest of the menu are really interesting. Lastly, Drinks to cool down your thirst to complete the whole Max's meal experience

Very nice restaurant with typical Filipino recipes. Our favorite the sizling tofu. Ambiance needs to be improved. Quite a bit overpriced but quality is there.

The food is very good even compared to their other branches. the service is very good. Ive never enjoyed visiting other max's branches like i did with this as i sit very full while writing this review. Also there was a customer who was celebrating her birthday and comes most of the crew singing and celebrating.. What a true delight this experience is.. will definitely come back here..

Disclaimer- This review is only for the drinks and cake we ordered. We didn't try their food because we went here just for some after dinner drinks and dessert. We ordered Molten lava cake ala mode and Berry fields iced tea, Sunset iced tea and Chamomile tea. The cake has a rich chocolatey flavor. It's sweet, moist and decadent. I just wish the molten chocolate in the middle oozed out when we cut it. It tasted good still. The drinks were made well and very pleasing in the eyes. I will go back to try their coffee and some food items.

Definitely a great place to hang out with friends, thanks to its unique aesthetic and Instagram-worthy indoor table arrangements. Weekends are always jam-packed, both inside and outside. So far, all the food we’ve ordered has been delicious. 😋Prices are a bit higher compared to other similar bistros. I recommend visiting on weekdays to enjoy their distinctive tiered step table (not sure if that’s the exact name for it). The place doesn’t play background music, as it’s already quite noisy from the air-conditioning and the lively conversations of the surrounding. Nevertheless, a must try place for their Nori fries and waffle! 👍🏻😋 Plus, they sell merchandises from shirts to tumbler.

Great place for brunch! Had the waffle with chicken karaage and it was so good. My hubby had the salmon eggs Benedict and it didn’t disappoint either. Would definitely come back to try other items in the menu and the ice cream!

The Palabok is worth the travel! So far the best Palabok i have tasted in years. Sauce is perfectly seasoned. Ingredients makes the dish alive. However, seems the squid has the tendency to affect the flavor for some time. Just do not expect the area so much when dining.. It's a typical stall in a busy area of Quaipo. If you are picky, the place is not for you. But if you are used to these environment, you'll enjoy the experience. Will definitely a go to place for Palabok! Hope they will keep the same quality...

affordable and cheap eats. typical meals nothing special. meals were already packed in containers and plastic. palabok, jollibee is way better. halohalo, most instant/canned/processed ingredients. puto and ubod are normal. no other meals available, 0900am on a Saturday. tends to get crowded, paid roadside parking in the area(paid 100 telling park attendant that I be parking 2hours, not sure if 50 per hour or 100 flat rate). There are other palabok options around, will try others next time.

We came here for the Palabok, and it was fantastic. Saucy, meaty and tasty. It's not overwhelming for those who just want to try the famous dish. The place was clean and nice as you would expect from a typical carinderia. They have a variety of selections to choose from but we refrained from eating more since we chose them as our breakfast and first food to eat on our food tour and we started with a bang. Masarap na di nakakaumay. Already prepared if you want it to-go. A must try.

I arrived at Jolli Dada around 9 AM. There were only a few customers, so I was able to order immediately. I wanted to try their famous Palabok, but I was already full, so I opted for their Halo-Halo instead. The Halo-Halo was visually appealing, perfect for sharing on social media. However, the taste was quite ordinary, similar to other Halo-Halo I've had elsewhere. I also ordered some Puto to take out. The rice-based Puto was very delicious. I will definitely return to try their famous Palabok.

A food trip in Quiapo wouldn’t be complete without a visit here. We went on a Saturday afternoon and had to wait in line for about 10-15 minutes. There are limited seats so you have to be patient. We ordered their classic palabok (P80) and halo-halo (P80 also). I like the sauce of the palabok, but the chicharon could have been crunchy. The halo-halo, on the other hand, tastes usual. It is a busy spot in Quiapo. The crew are packed in their little space, trying to prepare as many servings of palabok as possible. Of course, don’t expect anything fancy. I think how the eatery was set up is part of the experience.

If you want the best palabok dish in Quinta Market in Quiapo, Manila for me Jolli Dada's Eatery is the place to try. I have checked the other stalls and only them is most recommended by food vloggers and food enthusiast and at least more tidy than the others. You need to have a lot of patience to wait in line to be seated due to limited tables and chairs. Their food is served in a microwavable plastic food box and plastic spoons and forks. It's not environment friendly though but due to high volume of orders they have no choice.

Finally made it to SuperSam. So, how was it? It wasn’t super. It wasn’t bad either just not great. The place is nice & spacious specially with the high ceiling. The service is very good. The eait staff were always there to attend to your every need. Food is hit & miss. The BBQ eings and Parmesan wings were good. The latter had a string buttery profile which I liked. The Nachos were okay. The Angus Salpicao had a really nice umami garlic flavor but the meat was tough. Really tough. On the plus side, their serving of white rice is really generous. The Angus Tenderloin Pares was good. The sauce is a bit heavy on the star anise but it was fine. The Chicken Sisig did not taste like sisig. It’s basically just chicken bits with onions and chilis. We caughy the early part of the live music show which featured a “jazzy” musical group. They were good. I can imagine people chillin’ here with a bottle of beer and enjoying some live music.

Food was okay, nothing special with it. Pumpkin soup was bland, seafood platter was a good appetizer, angus salpicao and baby back ribs were tender but lacked depth in flavor Now let’s talk about their service. No plates and utensils on the table upon arrival. We needed to follow up for service water twice before it was served. Ordered a slice of cake, and it took them MORE THAN 30 MINS to be served- let me reiterate: for a slice of cake Their staff seem to be all over the place. You would need a lot of patience if you ever plan on dining here. The only good part on our experience was the performance of the live band. Overall, i wouldn’t recommend this resto because it lacks quality service, which must be a priority

Visited at 3pm on a Saturday for late lunch. Not crowded and a lot of available tables. The menu has so much to offer. We took a long time to choose which to order. Pasta Negra - 5/5 - the squid ink really sticks to your fingers. Has generous servings of squid, mussels and shrimp. Bagnet sisig - 3.5/5 - served hot and sizzling, though its too oily. Cafe latte - 5/5 - rich and creamy, the latte that I wanted.

June 2022: We went here for dinner to celebrate my sister's birthday. The parking area was full so we had to park across the wide street. It wasn't ideal because we had a toddler in tow. The place was so full even the seating area outside. We had to wait a while to be seated. Ordered a few burgers, lasagna, nacho fries, baby back ribs, salmon steak and milkshakes. The juicy cheesy was really juicy and cheese was oozing out of the burger patty. But, when it got cold, the patty was bland and underwhelming. The baked lasagna was also under seasoned and the béchamel sauce was kinda runny. The actual fries on the nacho fries was smaller in size compared to other resto that offered the same menu item. The bigger fries looks more appealing compared to the skinny ones they used. The ribs and salmon tasted good but a bit small for the price. Overall, the place is okay for a first timer like me. There were a few hits and misses that they can still improve on. July 2025: After three long years, we were finally back! A good friend of mine invited me to catch a performance by a band called High School Playlist, and wow, they did not disappoint! The restaurant was buzzing with energy, completely packed with people who were dancing and singing along to their favorite hits from the 60s all the way through the 2000s. It was an unforgettable night filled with nostalgia and good vibes! The only downside was the stage—it felt a bit cramped, almost an afterthought, which made me wish they’d consider expanding to fit more diners and create an even better atmosphere. Here’s hoping for that upgrade in the future!

We arrived around 6pm on a Thursday, just in time the place is starting to fill up. A friend recommended the place to us. Although we are without a reservation, it's a good thing we were seated at a spot exactly for two persons. We observed that the rest of the tables were for big group gatherings (families, friends, workmates etc). The place is nice, high ceilings, and designed elements providing a good ambience - we see a stage for shows, bands, and performances, but we didn't chance on one. We ordered items from the menu that has a thumbs up -chefs recommendation/bestseller. 3 Mushroom Soup, Prosciutto Caesar Salad, Super Shrimp Burger, and Super Chicken Samwich. The Soup and salad were really delicious! For the burgers, the flavors were ok. But overall, it's a bit here and there. The shrimp patty flavor is good, well seasoned, and crunchy. Although the shrimp's intestines used in the patty were not cleaned/removed, that triggered my allergies a bit. The crispy chicken patty upon slicing revealed the chicken meat as very thin, and the batter is what makes it look big. But the Coleslaw is what carried the whole burger. Overall experience is good. Staff are friendly, and service is quick. We hope to try other items in their menu such as their pasta and rice meals another time.

Our overall dining experience was alright— nothing special, just okay. Service was okay. The place was clean and well-lighted (interior is nice), but it tends to get a little bit loud and the ambience was not that relaxing. Parking area was full on a weeknight and we needed to wait for others to finish before we could secure a spot. As for the food, we liked the salad, crab roe pasta, and carrot cake; everything else was so-so. Still worth the experience.

We ordered ceasar salad, onion fries and bagnet kare-kare. Menu pics does not give justice to the serving size and how appetizing everything looks. Most food are for sharing for at least 2 people. Servers are attentive and polite but they got my onion fries wrong. I was given nacho fries instead. To be fair i kinda added that last minute while the server was a few meters away. I dint mind that much since the fries looked good to me lol I liked their kare kare and mixed berries soda. At about 6pm the sounds would become louder and theres a stage for a band setup. So if you want to talk with your friends, itll be a bit difficult.

Breakfast is good, they made the effort to elevate it with how it's cooked and the accompanying sides. Having said that, it is a pricey menu. At the end of the day, 400+ for corned beef and coffee is pretty steep. If you do have the budget, why not, it's still pretty decent.

I came by for a quick lunch one day. It was at an odd time between lunch and dinner, so there wasn’t anyone else there, and the vibe was very dead. No music playing or anything. It’s a shame because the decor of the place shows some design love, but the ambiance didn’t match. Other than that, the service was very friendly, and the food was tasty and seemed like a cool modern take on traditional Filipino dishes. I would return, but at a different time when there’s more people around.

Went here months ago. I cant remember if I liked or hated what I ordered. I know they were coffee and arroz caldo based on the pictures I took. I guess the food is meh if no impression stood out if I actively try to remember them. But I liked the place, it hidden from the chaos of JP Rizal and Villena street. I will be visiting them again to try their meals.

For a small nook, they have big serving sizes! They really have a good takes on traditional Filipino dishes with a variety of new ingredients. We got the Chicken Inasal, Kare Kare, and the Cheesecake and they were all amazing! The space looks big, but it's actually quite small, but it's very cozy! Definitely a great place to gather friends or to bring your relatives!

Nice quiet place for Monday date night. The food was flavorful, ambience was nice and quiet, staff was attentive and accommodating. My favorite dish was the Grilled Hamachi (sweet & salty) while the husband enjoyed the sinigang more (soft beef, satisfyingly sour guava-based soup). I would have liked the food to be served warmer, but he was okay with the temp. For dessert, we both liked the Coconut Saba Custard more than the Bread Pudding (it was a bit dense for our preference). Would love to back to try during breakfast :)

Beautiful corner restaurant and cafe that offers Filipino cuisine with a twist. Tried the NEW Crispy Tadyang (Beef Short Ribs) and it was divine. Kare-Kare and Chicken Dishes are a must too. Prices are premium but are worth the splurge.

I was excited because I thought it would be a good Karinderya type of resto. Yes it was, the food looked great and appetizing complete with ambiance. However, my okoy was so thick it wasn’t well cooked . Sadly. The beef caldereta looked so good but the meat was hard. I was so sad when I left. It could’ve been perfect. But they paid attention only to how it looked and not how to properly cook the food. Sayang na sayang talaga. I thought I found a gem.

This is one of my go-to places for the usual 'lutong bahay' whenever I get too busy to cook. You order food at the counter, and get a table. A pitcher of water and a glass with ice is placed at your chosen table shortly. I craved pork sinigang today. The sourness of the soup is just right, just like how it was cooked at home.

The restaurant Have parking space in front of the entrance door I think it can accommodate 5 cars the most. They have guard to assist you in the parking. Parking is also free. The food is also good but a little bit pricey for our meal as you can see in the picture this is almost 800 pesos, there is also variety of foods that you can choose, I can recommend this to my friends and family as their food is tasty and good. The serving time is also very fast, i think it only take 3 minutes from the cashier for the waiter to deliver our order. I am happy about the fast service

Craving tapsilog, I decided to try this place in Marikina instead of Goto Bob, which tends to have long waits and no air conditioning. I was happy to find plenty of parking available. The tapa was tender, juicy, and well-marinated, pairing perfectly with their spiced vinegar. However, I wish there were options to have the egg with crispy edges and the sinangag to be fluffier and more garlicky. Also, the tapa-to-rice ratio felt off—there's too much tapa for the amount of rice. If you're dining with someone, you could easily share the tapa by ordering extra sinangag. The food quality is above average, though a bit on the pricey side at Php 175 per order of tapsilog. It's a good option if you're looking for an air-conditioned place to eat, but be aware that beggars and street children may occasionally pass by.

First time to go here for breakfast, the atmosphere of the place is nice and it has a very spacious and big dining area and the ceiling is so high so it gives more comfortable feeling eating all those fried dishes in the morning. They also have free soup which is very tasty. The price of the food is okay since the place is good as well, a bit pricey unlike the usual Tapsihan.

This place is always packed since it's widely accessible to foot traffic from residents in the area. Layout is maximized for seating capacity and feels cramped. Queue to pay at the counter even after self-ordering kiosk use takes a long time, plus more waiting for food to be available. If your definition of fast-food means getting your food within 15mins of arriving, this is not the place for you. Just the same, Jollibee is Jollibee. Consistent good food at affordable price is reason for most people to wait. Highly recommended place to grab a bit while waiting to board or pick up a passenger from the Manila Port area since there's no comparable food concessionaire inside the port. Free limited parking available for diners.

I ordered egg &cheese sandwich, + other breakfast meals. Without knowing with bacon pla ang n punch ni cashier. While eating napansin ko may ham sa gitna, i ask the crew at bacon nga. Which is haram for us. They apologize and replace the food but the damaged has been done. Very disappointed.

I went here around 7:30AM and there are plenty of available seats. Not everything in the menu is available this early in the morning. It's pay as you order, cash basis (no Gcash). After ordering, they'll give you a number and serve the food in your table. I got the Pares with Rice for PHP 95.00. It's served with a complimentary soup that has hints of ginger and garlic, almost Tinola-like, very hearty. The Pares broth was on the soupy side and has a nice blend of sweet and savory. For it's price, the serving is really worth it! Meat and tendon pieces are decently tender.

Local food is the best. If you see people lining up you know the food is good. Lechon kawali, Egg, Soup that has good umami and Fried rice. Will satisfy your hunger instantly.

Chades has been a staple for silog meals. We often order their lechonsilog (their best seller) and chicksilog. The fried rice they serve is garlicky and savory. You can request for the doneness of the egg. The place is usually busy and crowded. Getting a seat for dine-in may get challenging as you need to wait on the table of your preference since there is no fixed queuing for seating. On a funny note, if you are introverted, you may just want to have take-out.

As someone that visited the Philippines for the first time, i really wanted to try a tapsilog especially in a place where it seems the most authentic. Going for breakfast, turned out the tapa is still being cooked, since I couldn't wait, i went to my scheduled tour and got back for lunch. It's a late lunch (place so packed by dine-in and take away) so there's maybe a little waiting around 5 minute until someone finished and i got the seat. Taste wise? I think the tapa is really nice. Really tender and tasty, the problem is the size, idk but it's kind of small for me. But yeah it's quite cheap, around 80-90 PHP per portion. I wanted to add the sausage but idk how to say that i only want the sausage. If i can go there again, i'll definitely ask them to give me the tapa, longanisa and everything they have. Cause it's so good

Love the soup, the kamatis sibuyas with bagoong and the food i.e. tapsilog, chicksilog and lechon rice. Worth the wait to have a seat and table to eat. Accomodating staff, fast service. Food is so affordable and delicious. Free soup is a must try,, sip the umami taste of the broth and the kamatis with sibuyas and bagoong is great! Street parking is available, safe though. This is our go to during late night cravings. Food is consistent but service tends to be slow during peak hours. Although staff are kind, sometimes when the store gets too busy, they are not attentive to requests and tend to miss or forget follow ups like additional chili or water refill. But overall, they are courteuous and kind.

Beef tendon mami noodles need to be improved. I suggest they give the noodles a quick hot water bath before putting it all together in the serving bowl so that it does not get all clumpy (it was quite disgusting). Staff were generally polite, but service was slow. They charge for calamansi. They don't tell you they will, but you'll see it added to your bill. All other items we had were okay. Place gets crowded easily. Seating should be managed better.

Craving a hearty, no-frills Filipino meal? With a modern twist, Goto Tendon BGC hits the spot. Their signature Goto Tendon was everything I looked for with the rich, beefy broth simmered to perfection, melt-in-your-mouth tendon and just the right amount of garlic and ginger kick. You can tell they take their time with the broth (apparently boiled for estimated 12 hours!), and it shows. I also tried the Beef Tendon Pares, which was surprisingly addictive, savory and with the good amount of sweetness. Definitely not your average pares out there. The vibe is casual and clean, with friendly staff and quick service. Prices are reasonable for the BGC area, though some dishes might feel a bit steep for a set-up of “goto-han - lugawan” but the overall quality makes up for it. What I loved: • Flavorful broth and generous toppings • Fast service • Great variety of Filipino comfort food Overall, it’s a solid goto experience for comfort food lovers. Would I come back? Absolutely—especially for that goto on a rainy day.

First time in Manila and for the first meal my friend took here for early late breakfast/early lunch. I had the pork sisiq with a side of lumpiang and my friend had the bangsilog. Sisiq was tasty and the pork skin gave it a nice crunchy texture. Lumpiang was crispy and the vinegar dipping sauce add a nice tanginess. The fried fish as was crispy and fresh. A nice meal to start the day.

I’ll admit this review is a bit biased since I’m a sucker for goto in all its forms. It’s definitely my comfort food, especially when stressed—the kind that instantly recharges you with every spoonful. The best Goto I've ever had!! It is cooked to perfection, with the rice grains perfectly tender and infused with rich, savory flavors. They also offer a diverse array of Filipino comfort food favorites such as beef pares, silog meals, sizzling bulalo, etc. Goto Tendon is offering a taste of authentic Filipino comfort food at its best. Definitely a lifetime costumer!!

We dropped by for late lunch at this Rizal era inspired restaurants. Ate pan de coco since I was raving hungry followed by their creamy chicken sopas laced with butter (good for 2). Then followed by tapsilog because I figured it's the quickest meal. Tasty but morsels were tiny. Bundled with Lumpiang Toge that was tasty and not big due to multiple wrappers. Read their ensaymada is good so decided to order dipped in Chocolate Eh. It's the very filling bread type of ensaymada and cake-y like a famous brand. Signal inside is weak so go out to secure GCash signal. Female CR was roomy with machuka tiles and heated Japanese type seat. Parking is a problem. Overall, will still go back especially for the bingsu type halohalo.

We visited this place for breakfast. We drove down from BGC on a Sunday with low traffic so got here in 20 mins. The place is excellent. We’ve been in the area before — we visited White House a couple of months ago. This place too has a similar layout, with lots of greenery and wood used to create a certain aesthetic. For breakfast, we ordered sopas and tapsilog. The menu is authentic Filipino and we were very happy with the dishes. The coffee was pretty great too. After our friends left, our very friendly server, Jon, gave us a tour of the place. La Luna is a sprawling property. We were curious about organizing events for larger groups after Jon told us about the other areas of La Luna. We were very impressed— this place is stunning and well maintained. We took lots of pics and we can’t wait to host an event here.

The Americano was surprisingly good. The pandesal was the bomb. We dropped by for breakfast and forever grateful they open at 7 in the morning. Al fresco dining was great, too; and kudos to the accommodating and friendly staff.

Chades Remigio here in Maceda. They have a good silog here and beef soup. If you want to try best option is boneless bangus. Dont try mixisilog (small serving) or porchop but its my own opinion. Atmosphere is open area and elevated so you can see other people who coming in especially in midnight , having a nice light is plus factor to their fast food. Iconic that you can recognize it at first glance. It looks like an American roast chicken dinner with Filipino sensibilities: kamote fries with banana ketchup and a bronze, crispy whole chicken that's been deep-fried. Max's chicken special is its lack of breading and deep-fried dry with just a coat of patis for flavor and color. The skin emerges crisp and beautifully browned, paired with a succulent interior. Place was look elegant with fresh ambiance and well lit atmosphere. Friendly and accommodating staff. Limited parking space. Great max chicken experience.

This one, we bought a cake but they did not give any freebies (desserts or drinks). The meat in their Meat Kaldereta is still chewy and it seems like it can still be cooked better. The staff are nice, however, they failed to refill our water even after asking twice (had to ask for a third time). As it is one of the decent restaurants within Malacañang area, I will most likely eat here again.

Like the ambiance of this little dinner, elegant and sits in the middle of serendra plaza. Tried their new set meal, a nice combo of green vegetables salad, pumpkin soup and tender juicy fried chicken bites with mash potato. Enjoyed every bite of it and the complementary ice tea was not too sweet. Would recommend this place for friends gathering or just a simple dinner for one.

Goto Tendon never fails to dissapoint. Definitely not my first time dining here. There is good value. Menu items are priced appropriately, portions are good and flavor is definitely good. Service is on point. Place is clean and spacious. Nothing much to say. No frills Goto. You get what you pay for. A decent restaurant to add to your usual regular rotation. Only that the place isn’t really accessible through public transportation easily, and its located in the middle of nowhere. Parking is plentiful but its along G Araneta. Would definitely come back!

Excellent service, mabilis sila kahit marami tao. I'd say it's too pricey for the taste, quantity, and quality of food. (Goto, pares, sizzlers). Regular goto has like 3-4 strips of 1x5cm tripes and a quail egg. However, I can't say for their other food. Sorry if the food photo is unpresentable, I took the photos mid consumption.

We had a great visit to Goto Tendon. My wife loved their sizzling tendon, and I really enjoyed the corned beef bulalo. Portions were just right, prices were reasonable, and staff were attentive. Plus, there’s ample free parking which is always a plus. Will definitely be back.

My favorite pares in the world! Perfect balance of savory, salty and sweetness. Their chili garlic is also incredible! Slow heat that coats your throat but not unbearably spicy. A bit on the pricier end but they deliver consistency.

Had late lunch on a Sunday here. Quite a lot of customers despite the time and awkward parking/location. The generous portion if crispy binagoongan was such a find. Tender, perfectly seasoned meat with just the right amount of bagoong, super sulit. Skip the lumpias. The iced desserts- i would suggest just getting the smaller size, as the the amount of toppings for the large and small sizes are the same. Only the amount of shaved ice differs- not worth the upsize in my opinion. Overall, would come back for the binagoongan and iced chocolate dessert.

UCC Park cafe is a designated place where senior citizens living nearby from New Manila hang out. The food is just generic and slightly overvalued but the biggest hit is their signature coffee. The service is below average, as there are too many tables relative to the waitstaff. Its a nice place to play catchup with friends and family but the real selling point of this place is the stories the people you come with share. The food and drinks is very forgettable, but nothing definitely beats catchups with your loved ones.

Service could be better, staff not as attentive especially if you are sitting outside. Restroom is also not clean all the time which is disappointing. Food is really good (as always the case with any UCC branch), and the wait staff are nice and attentive. The only issue is that not a lot of the stuff on the menu (e.g. the salmon dishes, some of the drinks) are available, and the food will take a while (usually should be 15-20 minutes, but it actually takes longer). But we highly recommend the waffles and the steak salpicao.

Was surprised how decent the food was. The club house sandwich taste fresh and just perfectly toasted. The french toast has just a right amount of sweetness and crunch. The chicken teriyaki also tasted good. Coffee is good as well as expected. Only thing to consider is the price can get expensive.

Very nice Ambiente, Service are ok, with a smile it can be 5 stars. We tried the Pizza Pepperoni, the Pepperoni is really good, but the Pizza itself not. Dough is really soft and gummy, and overloaded with non tasty cheese. And please change your red house wine (Il Poggio dei Vigneti Merlot), too plain and too less flavor for your charcuterie. Service temperature of the wine was very cold, specially for red wine.

Late lunch. The food was a disappointment and I expected better. I chose pizza and meatloaf (German style) - I doubt whether the cheese on the pizza was mozzarella, it was hard and crusty and none of the ‘stringiness’ you expect from mozzarella and the meatloaf was very much like a slice of Spam, not the ‘artisan’ German food I expected. The service was good and the interior decor gives a nice feel to the place but the food let down my experience. The menu promises great food and there are many reviewers here happy with their experience but I don’t think I’ll be back for more disappointment.

Wonderful food and restaurant. The pastrami sandwich reminded me of Katz Delicatessen in New York city. The truffle creamy pasta was amazing as well. Will definitely come back.

This restaurant is inside the mall and we didn't know we can get inside before 10AM because the mall looks closed and empty around 7 AM. Aside from that, their banana loaf is very good. The second time we visited here, almost all of the deserts that we ordered were not available also the fries were very oily, flimsy and not crispy so those were the disappointing. I must say though their lemon lime juice is so good.

Just the way kids like it. The tomato soup with grilled cheese is a HIT - everyone at the table loved it! The slab of bacon dish and the Yin Yang champorado were big let downs....Bacon was not fork tended and I needed a knife to cut through it. Champorado was just okay - didn't see whats "Belgian" about it. The aircon inside was broken so we dined al fresco. This wouldn't bother me normally aside from the fact that when I dined here 6 months ago, that aircon was broken as well. When are they going to fix/replace it? I would go back to this place for the grilled cheese with tomato soup and Adobo sunrise.

Place looks trendy and insta worthy. But that's about how shallow it gets... Bland lemon bangus and buttermilk fried chicken. Wasn't as overpriced as other reviews mentioned. Both were in the 200s. Plating and aesthetic of the food is above average for sure. Best way to describe the chicken was a kfc original recipe with less flavor. Pancakes were decent. Most items aren't much to write home about. French toast fondue was meh. The Belgian milk chocolate was the best order we had. Perfect for that rainy day. Still, at 145 it's one small cup and that would be overpriced. Especially since the resto is just beside Starbucks. Not worth a revisit in my books.

I love Rodic’s. Their tapsilog is the only tapsilog I eat. Loved it for more than a decade already, since the time it was only 60 pesos per meal. Some branches don’t get the tapsi right, but this branch makes it like the og one in UP Shopping Center. Their vinegar’s a bit bland though?

Nostalgic! The tapasilog was the same as I remember from my college days. Still flakey, with that malasado sunny side up, and perfect tapa-kanin ratio. Baconsilog was equally filling. I tried the beef caldereta — they did not scrimp on the sauce, the beef was tender, and the potato chunks were well-cooked. The caldereta had a classic taste with a bit of heat and cheesy mouthfeel. There’s free soup and drinking water. The manager Diana was very accommodating and courteous.

It is now a favorite among bikers and joggers in the neighborhood.

Just went here for desserts. Their coffee needs a bit of improvement. I love their Banoffee cake but the cheesecake is tad bit sweet for me. The restaurant is quite small and parking can be a challenge.
