Coffee shop
Cafe
Café de Flore is a long-standing coffeehouse located in the charming corner of St-Germain quarter. It has been a popular spot for intellectuals and artists, with famous figures like Picasso, Hemingway, Simone de Beauvoir, and Jean-Paul Sartre frequenting the place. The café's interior has retained its Art Deco charm over the years, making it feel like a time capsule of bohemian Paris.
My favorite Cafe! Cafe de Floor in Paris offers the best hot chocolate and cappuccino around! The service is friendly and attentive, and the location is perfect for exploring the city. Can’t wait to come back there again! Highly recommended!!

Loved this famous and prestigious cafe in Paris. Historic and highly regarded, I can tell why. We went for breakfast on Sunday, and didn't need to queue. We did go at 8am though, and there was a crowd starting to develop inside. We ordered the- Special flore dark chocolat with creme Croissant Toast with echire butter The Le The de flore tea creation Croque Monsieur special flore Has to be the best croissant we had in Paris. Can't recommend the croissant enough. The hot chocolate was delightful and wasn't too sickening. I recommend to order it with the creme. The french butter was tasty too. Next time I would love to try the French onion soup and cafe de flore terrine. Overall 10/10 and highly recommend when looking for an authentic French cafe experience in Paris.

This has to be one of the most famous cafés in Paris, it’s been featured in countless movies and stories! I just had to visit while I was in the city, and it was absolutely worth it. It’s always super busy (clearly I wasn’t the only one with the same idea), so I waited about half an hour in line. But once seated, I had the best onion soup of my life! I also tried the foie gras, which came in a much larger portion than expected, definitely something to share with at least three people. The service was handsome…wait…I mean friendly.
Laura P — Google review
Very very busy cafe. A bit of a wait for food and drink, but I was determined to experience because of its cultural significance. Mixed drinks were creative and delicious! However I saw many patrons order the hot chocolate and I was a bit remorseful I had not gone that route. Must see for any “lost generation” aficionados. Timeless, elegant. In the corner by the stairs, there is a delightful little dollhouse recreation of the cafe with small pictures of its famous guests, Hemingway, Fitzgerald. I can easily see how this would invite conversation and creativity. And I just love Paris. A win win!
Natalie R — Google review
An unforgettable Parisian experience at Café de Flore! We were warmly welcomed by Lia at the reception, who was incredibly kind and attentive — a lovely start to our visit. We ordered the hot chocolate with whipped cream, and honestly, it deserves a gold medal 🏅 — rich, velvety, and absolutely indulgent. The Éclair and Lemon Tart were equally delightful, clearly crafted with love and care. Our Americano (long coffee) was smooth and well-roasted, showcasing the café’s attention to coffee quality. The waiters were professional, efficient, and courteous, making the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. Café de Flore truly lives up to its reputation. It’s a must-visit in Paris, and we’ll definitely return on future trips. ❤️🇫🇷

Visiting Café de Flore is like stepping into a page of Parisian history. Nestled in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the café is legendary — once a favorite of Sartre, Beauvoir, and countless artists and writers. The terrace is perfect for people-watching with a café crème in hand, and the ambiance is undeniably charming. Yes, the prices are high and the service can feel a bit brisk, but you’re not just paying for coffee — you’re paying for the atmosphere, the legacy, and that iconic Parisian moment. It’s not where you go for the best food in Paris, but it is where you go to feel the spirit of the city.
Antonija M — Google review
A Parisian Classic Worth Experiencing! Café de Flore is the quintessential Parisian café — elegant, historic, and full of charm. Sitting on the terrace with a coffee or hot chocolate while watching the world go by feels like stepping into a timeless Paris postcard. We enjoyed a leisurely breakfast with perfectly flaky croissants, delicious omelets, and rich café crème. The service was attentive and professional, even with the café’s lively atmosphere. It’s easy to see why Café de Flore remains a Paris institution — a place where history, ambiance, and great food come together beautifully. Don’t miss it if you want to experience authentic Parisian café culture at its best!

Le Petit Plateau is a charming coffee shop with a chic ambiance and outdoor seating. Located just a short walk from the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, it offers a delightful menu of light fare including quiches, salads, and wine. The restaurant's cozy atmosphere and friendly service make it an ideal spot for both locals and visitors to enjoy delicious French cuisine.
Great service, great staff, great view, great food! It’s a Bingo for French food lovers with a twist! I HIGHLY recommend the duck Shepherd pie 😋 They have a good selection of wine as well!
Charbel S — Google review
Great little local place. Everyone besides us were speaking French. My wife had the cod, I had the pot pie with duck (which came a salad with very fresh greens in February). Both were excellent.
Damon S — Google review
Great spot if you're near Notre Dame. All the French classics you could want and spot-on service. We were able to make a same day reservation for our group of 8 for lunch and had a very nice lunch.

Food was delicious, service from Vincent was amazing. He even played a Brazilian song for me and my wife. I highly recommend this place! 5 stars, for sure!

Wonderful little restaurant on the small Seine island, located just a few steps away from the Notre Dame cathedral and the Pont Neuf bridge. We had a wonderful evening, with the cook being away and the owner preparing great tasting ravioli for us. We loved the atmosphere. Thanks for having us!

The cutest little cafe ever! The food was delicious and we really enjoyed the lunch combo. Great place for lunch if you’re by the Notre dame area. Must try the mushroom soup!!

Delicious chèvre chaud salade near the river and the Notre Dame! A real gem and not a classic tourist trap! Would recommend to anyone who is near the area and looking for something to eat, would love to go again!

Angelina is a legendary tearoom that has been serving refined pastries and hot chocolate in a belle epoque-style setting since 1903. It's considered one of the best places for hot chocolate in Paris, especially for visitors to nearby museums like the Louvre. The luxurious tearoom offers an indulgent hot chocolate experience, served with whipped cream at a slightly high price. Breakfast and brunch are also delightful here, making it perfect for special occasions.
What an absolutely dreamy experience at Angelina! 💫 The prices are on the higher side, but trust me — the hot chocolate is 100% worth it. It's like a rich, velvety hug in a cup. And the atmosphere? Simply stunning! I felt like Marie Antoinette in the 18th century, surrounded by elegance and charm. The staff was absolutely wonderful — so friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. We were lucky to arrive early, so there was no waiting at all, which made everything even better. My grandma also bought the box to make hot chocolate at home, and she’s completely hooked! It’s a perfect spot for special occasions — can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a luxurious, indulgent treat. 🍫✨
M S — Google review
I can see why people enjoy Angelina, but for the price I would say it is a bit overrated. Initially, I thought the chocolat chaud was delicious, but when it cooled down I realized it just tasted like melted chocolate ice cream. If that’s your thing, great. Personally, I would not pay €10,5 for melted chocolate ice cream. Ordered Le Goûter set which came with a selection of savories (pictured on the bottom), and five minis of their classics desserts, and a choice of drink (I went with the hot chocolate). For €37, it was incredibly small. The hot chocolate is a smaller size than what you get when you order hot chocolate individually. The bread on the egg sandwich was a bit stale. The avocado toast bite was rather plain. The sweets were fun. Overall, I would say if you don’t mind spending money on some overpriced pastries and drinks, Angelina delivers that Parisian tourist hot chocolate experience. However, I would not return. That said, our waitress was very sweet.
Jane — Google review
Angelina was a great brunch spot for our family. Is it delicious? Does it take an absurd amount of time to get in? Has it become a total influencer/tourist attraction? Yes to all. For me, the food was delicious. The service was top-notch. The atmosphere takes you to another place. And it was an over all pleasant experience. Would I go back? Probably not. But that's ok! I'm still giving it a 5-star review because I truly enjoyed the food.
Tony S — Google review
We had breakfast here and purchased pastries from the boutique. The staff in the cafe were very good as were the ones in the shop, polite, friendly and efficient. The room is a beautiful setting and their food and drinks were excellent. Great all round. We arrived early for breakfast and went straight in but when we left there was a long queue outside waiting to get in. If you’re just using the shop, skip the queue and just go straight in.
Carlo R — Google review
Beautifully appointed elegant tea room right out of the 1900's. The tables and chairs have been in place since the 1920s, the gilded decor and antique mirrors lendifil of earlier times. The drinking chocolate was amazing! Breakfast was as well. Service was excellent. I would highly recommend!
Dena M — Google review
Not worth the long wait times and the price. The hot chocolate is good - and the service is good at the takeaway cart outside, but the place is just not geared to handle the endless queues and large volumes of guests and the table service is subpar. Many cafes nearby and all around central Paris have equally good hot chocolate and pastries for less than half the price and much less waiting time.
Sanchit S — Google review
We finally arrived at the place that truly stole my heart – Angelina. Even before my trip, I thought this might just be a tourist trap, and because of that conviction, I wanted to go and try it for myself. Well, I can honestly say that the famous hot chocolate lives up to every bit of praise it gets! It was rich, velvety, and unlike anything I’ve ever tasted – without a doubt the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had. The service was impeccable, attentive without being overwhelming, and added to the experience. I also ordered the profiteroles, and they were just as outstanding – light, indulgent, and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, making the whole visit feel truly special. And the best part – we were there to celebrate my birthday, which made the experience even more memorable. This is without question a place worth experiencing if you’re in Paris.
Danail D — Google review
Overall food is pretty good. The chocolate is pretty good. wait time isn't too bad. we went on a weekday afternoon and got let in in 20 minutes. biggest problem I see is the service can be a hit or miss. I repeated asked for tap water but seems like the waitress forgot. I saw some tables served by other waiters got it without even asking.

Restaurant
Located in Saint-Germain-des-Pres, Les Deux Magots is a renowned brasserie that has been serving traditional French cuisine since 1885. This iconic cafe was frequented by literary giants such as Albert Camus, Ernest Hemingway, and Simone de Beauvoir. It also established its own literary prize in 1933, known as the Flore, which continues to honor emerging French novelists.
Upscale cafe with some very friendly hosts and great ambience. They have outside seating, a semi inside ( patio style) and then an absolute inside seating that helps them serve their customers. We got ourselves situated inside for the lunch visit and placed an order for the salad ( comes with salmon ), a plate of sea bass with seasonal vegetables and an order of fries. The food was definitely top notch and the experience was beyond wonderful. Right after we enjoyed our meal we ordered a hot chocolate, fig tart and an americano to address those sweet cravings. Awesome and top notch. Loved those extra calories every bit the way they were offered. Sofiane was our host for the lunch and did a fantastic job serving our table. I had a bit of a coffee spill and he did try to help me by taking me down to the cleaning station where they were out of the cleaning spray though he got me hot water and a cloth which did the job for the most part. It’s his intention and effort that definitely counts!!

A legendary café nestled in the heart of Paris, was an experience that blended culinary delight with a deep dive into cultural history. Known as a popular tourist destination and a hub for intellectual and artistic gatherings since the early 20th century, this iconic spot has hosted luminaries like Jean-Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, and Ernest Hemingway. The café’s rich heritage is palpable in its elegant Art Deco interior. As for the food, I was pleasantly surprised the flavors exceeded my expectations. While the prices were, as anticipated, on the higher side—reflecting its prime location and reputation—the quality justified the cost to some extent. The service was also commendable; the staff were attentive and courteous. For anyone traveling to Paris, Les Deux Magots offers more than just a meal—it’s a journey through time. I’d recommend it for its historical charm and unexpectedly tasty offerings!

Everything was great! Bit nervous if they would rushed us throughout our experience but not at all! Great service, attentive, friendly and the foods are great too. We had club sandwiches and it was pretty yummy ☺️ Caffe Crème (Latte) was nice too! Would love to come back and try other things.
Alissa A — Google review
Let me start by saying this was the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had in my life. I’m not exaggerating... The best! It’s thick, smooth, and so creamy it feels like you’re drinking melted chocolate bars. There’s this tiny bitter note that makes it even richer, but it’s not too sweet either. Just perfect balance. I honestly took my time with it, like sip by sip slow, because I didn’t want it to end. The service was super friendly and quick, which made the whole thing even better. The place itself has this cozy, peaceful vibe that makes you forget about the rush outside. I walked out just feeling happy. Simple as that.
Moises G — Google review
Tonight we chose Les Deux Magots a Paris restaurant since 1884. We chose a Haut-Medoc wine to sip before dinner. Michael started with the warm goat cheese salad and I had a bite, it was very tasty. Michaels entree was the rib of Veal and I had filet of Beef with 5 berry pepper sauce and both were absolutely amazing. Michaels desert was tarte tatin and I had vanilla ice cream both were amazing. We both had a generous pour of 20 year port to finish the evening. Our waiter and everyone was so polite that it made the evening a very relaxing and pleasurable experience. Bravo!
Joel M — Google review
Tried the classic breakfast ,14euro with one drink ,one croissant and one baguette, the hot chocolate is too thick for me,would rather have some milk with it,it seems like melt chocolate which is too heavy. The bread is so so. Good view and nice waiters.
Audrey — Google review
Everything was great! We were seated quickly and our waiter was very attentive. We tried the chicken toastie and a sea bass dish. Then had the hot chocolate to drink. The food was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. As for the hot chocolate it was so rich and creamy it tasted like you were drinking chocolate chips. Everything was served at a good temperature and all around we were big fans of this place. My only complaint is how close the seats were to one another. The waiter had to move the table for people in the booth to get in and out of their seats and you were about 8 inches away from the table next to you. Fair warning to anyone else from the states coming here they do charge for water.
Kierstin M — Google review
Warm, discreet, and genuinely friendly service. The menu offers classic bistro dishes prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients that really shine on the plate. The terrace is a true Parisian gem — perfect for lingering over lunch, enjoying a leisurely afternoon, or sipping a drink as the evening sets in. A timeless spot that captures the charm of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

Ladurée is a luxurious bakery that hails from Paris, renowned for its exquisite French macarons available in an array of delightful flavors. With their iconic pastel green boxes adorned with signature pink ribbons, Ladurée has become a global symbol of elegance and indulgence. The brand's aesthetic even inspired Sofia Coppola’s set design for the film 'Marie-Antoinette.'
We had the brunch (45€) and it was worth the price. The selection was varied, the ingredients were fresh, and the portions were satisfying. The overall quality matched the price point. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a good brunch experience.

We dined in, and the experience was fantastic! Our kiddos love the French hot chocolate, was like drinking melted chocolate. The macaroons were perfect, and my wife had some delicious French toast. The service was 5 stars. It was a fun experience in Paris.
Johannes K — Google review
This is the best kind of experience, i was longing for many years to come here and have a tea time , i ordered it just in time ( tea time is served from 3 pm to 6 pm ) they take the last order at 6h30 pm altough the lady messed a bit my order by switching one flavor of macaron ( caramel ) and forgetting my glass of champagne, i was such in a good mood that i am only going to put 5 stars to this experience because she immediately got forgiven by serving me a generous glass of champagne after i requested it and gifting me the macaron i ordered at the beginning . A perfect date with myself with delicious food . Nothing can go wrong with laduree altough i was craving a religieuse a la framboise ( which they havent at that precise day and time ) i was very pleased to have the tarte tatin instead. A very french experience for me . It was just perfect place for a happy girl like me .
AJ A — Google review
We sat upstairs in the tea room and had a lovely time. The staff was very friendly. We had macarons and the Marie-Antoinette tea, which were all delicious.
May W — Google review
I am a bit disappointed in the presentation of the Ispahan French toast , it could be more elegant. The toast is good as it’s soft and wet which is soaked in egg completely, but the surface is burnt that brings out some bitterness. The rose ice cream and macaron are good. I like the special Laduree tea. The tea room is beautiful. Staff is attentive and helpful.
Ka L — Google review
Fantastic! I made macarons for my local farmers market for a whole summer, so I was excited to try the real thing! They had a great texture to the cookie, a small crunch and chewy center. The raspberry and pistachio were my favorite! I also had the rose and coffee flavors.
Robbie B — Google review
A century’s old macaron shop in Paris, with a romantic and ornate turquoise storefront that practically draws you in. The interior carries through with elegant decor in a classic French palace style. The various macaron flavors are just as tempting, and the packaging is refined, full of a sense of ceremony: a pastel green paper bag and a pink box, so charming you won’t want to let go! However, the macarons are on the sweeter side, with a slightly more artificial taste and a stronger almond flavor.
Moon R — Google review
Not the best Ladurée experience. The waiter said the tea was only for one cup and refused to provide a second, which felt disappointing. We ended up ordering two teapots, but it was too much — and felt a bit uncomfortable overall😔

Chez Marianne is a Middle Eastern establishment in Paris known for its delicious falafels, homemade halva, and sidewalk tables. While it may not have the same level of fame as some other places, many argue that their falafel sandwich is tastier and generously-sized. The restaurant also offers a great dining experience with a warm atmosphere and friendly service.
Such a fun find! I found this window by accident and ordered a falafel pita and it was by far the best one I’ve had in a while! They were fast, but that did not affect quality and there’s a cute little sitting park around the corner to eat it. I would eat here ALL the time if I lived close it was so easy and affordable.

Food: 6/10 decent food, decent taste Location: pretty location and Instagram worthy spot Service: 3/10, few are super friendly but tend to forget while few are just straight up rude. Had to ask for water 4 times to 3 different servers in 25 mins before someone actually bothered Value: if you order a plate for one for 18 Eur, they will serve you a plate full of dips. And charge you extra for pita bread that you ask. Sandwich costs extra if you sit and eat vs when you take it away. The place has turned into a money grabbing pit

Chez Marianne is a fun spot to stop by, especially for their mixed platters. The food was delicious and offered plenty of variety, making it a great option if you’re in the area. What really made the experience stand out for me was the staff. The wait team was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and when I mentioned I was trying to brush up on my French, they happily helped me practice during the meal. That kind of warmth makes all the difference and left me with a very positive impression. If you’re looking for a casual meal with lots of choice and genuinely kind service, Chez Marianne is worth a visit.

Probably one of the best restaurants in Paris. Great food at a very, very reasonable price. I have been here at least ten times and it never disappointed me. Great, very affordable wines on offer.

Very disappointing. Wait was long to get a table, cramped table and service very slow. Food was not good at all. Tasteless and gross one of the dishes. Salad items and limonade were fresh but overall disappointing and we left hungry.

Quite interesting and tasty sandwiches and plates. The photo is the pastrami. When I asked for the check and presented my credit card, the server said that she had "accidentally" closed the ticket and I must pay cash. Hmmm, seems like a sketchy ploy to me. I paid in cash and waited for my change which never appeared and the server was nowhere to be found. Anyone else have this problem?

A great restaurant if you want to try some good hummus in Paris. Must try this platter.

La Bauhinia is a stunning restaurant located in the Shangri-La Paris, named after a tropical flower. The restaurant offers a menu that combines French regional cuisine with Asian influences, crafted by Chef Christophe Moret and pastry chef Maxence Barbot. The beautiful glass roof, designed by architect Maurice Gras, creates an exquisite dining atmosphere. Guests can indulge in gluten-free French and Asian dishes while basking in the natural light that floods the restaurant through the impressive glass dome.
We had a lovely experience during our high tea at La Bauhinia. The space is so beautiful and well taken care of. The pastries made by chef Maxence Barbot were truly amazing! So flavorful I can still taste it… The service was as well good and fast. I would say maybe the only note I have is that I am surprised that not all the teas that they serve are bio (on the menu it only says the rooibos is bio). Considering the price you pay for it I would have assumed you should get the best of the best to be honest..actually this should be the case with everything that you order here in my opinion. Maybe they use a lot of bio ingredients, but that is not stated on the menu. Could be a nice touch :)

The atmosphere is so beautiful and they are so friendly. You can experience the Parisian dinner you dream of here. However, the description of the food was lacking and communication was difficult. I asked for raw fish but they served me a main dish of cooked fish. I even had to pick out the fish bones myself. I left more than half of it.

Went for the seafood brunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. Ironically the plated dishes weren’t my favorite - started with caviar, which was good but not amazing. Then had an egg dish with caviar on top - I enjoyed that a lot. Also enjoyed the aubergine. I thought the mains were just fine but could be because of what we ordered. I much preferred the seafood and the cheese offering, which was so decadent and delicious. And the bread options were to die for, I kept going back for more. The desserts off course were so tasty. I’d recommend going with a bigger group - 4 or more if possible to try more without wasting. I went with just my mom so it obviously felt wrong to get a lot and not eat it all so we limited ourselves- but with a bigger group one can try more. Also the setting is beautiful and the staff is so kind: the service is amazing. Strongly recommend!

We had lunch at the garden absolutely delicious and outstanding service, from the doorman to the reception and waiter are very attentive. Upon arrival you walk to the outdoor area with a stunning view of the sky in the garden with a view of the Eiffel towel. We had caviar, tuna tataki, lobster salad, lobster toast and children had kids meals. Price is upscale from beverages to foods reflect to their high standard service and quality.

I made a reservation here because I love the Asian fusion style they incorporate into their menu to match the hotel's aesthetic. The food was decent—not bad, but it didn’t quite live up to expectations. Being located inside a hotel, the atmosphere was elegant and comfortable. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. The staff lacked attention to detail, there were several miscommunications, and the overall attitude felt cold and unwelcoming. A few unfriendly stares didn’t help the experience either. Overall, the setting was lovely, and the concept has potential, but the service needs serious improvement to make it worth a return visit.

Me and my husband stayed two nights in Shangri-La hotel. Normally when you come to a five-star hotel, with a Michelin-star restaurant, you expect the bistro in the hotel would be also delicate, delightful, top quality bistro food. Honestly, we have to say the quality of the food is under our expectation. We ordered a Thai salad, a fish salad, a burger for our kid, as well as one lobster salad and white fish dish as our main course. The Thai salad was exactly the same as you would have in any street pub/ bar/ bistro in Thailand, nothing special but maybe 10 times the price. I don’t know if the restaurant has changed chef recently, but all the dishes looked nothing like the pictures in the official website or in the previous comments. When the dishes arrived, I had a feeling I was in some mass-market Parisian restaurant for tourists: the visual layout of the dish was messy, fish was over cooked, the lobster was dull, the only highlight was maybe the French Fries from the children menu for my kid. The decoration and atmosphere was good, but nothing comparable to Ritz or Peninsula. Honestly, if you are looking for delicious food, there are much better price for value options in Paris. If you are looking for good atmosphere, it is ok but nothing romantic or special. Hope this would improve, Shangri-La means heavenly beautiful place, I hope the brand shall live up to its name.

Very good experience at the Botaniste bar and we really enjoyed our food at the Bauhinia (the vanilla and pecan nuts dessert -pictured- was my favorite). However, we were seated on the top floor of the Bauhinia and the service could be improved, specially at such price point. Service was friendly and we felt welcome but our starter arrived before our glasses of wine, our table wasn’t cleaned during our meal (we ate dessert with some crumbs that had fallen from our starter) and there was some dirt under the black table cloth. Also our waiter at same point complaint loudly of how difficult was to clean the table that was close to us.. it looked too laidback for us and certainly not trying its best, more what you would expect of a brasserie but not from the Shangri-La.

Chez Toinette is a small, intimate restaurant located in the heart of Montmartre, offering traditional French dishes in a cozy and warm setting. The wood-accented space exudes a charming vibe that perfectly complements the top-notch food served here. While reservations are highly recommended due to limited seating, the polite staff and delicious cuisine make it worth the visit. Guests rave about the delectable duck breast and recommend trying the terrine as well.
Really delicious food, cooked very well. I enjoyed every course more. The best was the Lamb shank and Dauphine ravioli. The staff are also very nice. I highly recommend this place!

Nice small restaurant near montmarte. It’s a smaller spot and may have to wait to get seated so would recommend a reservation. Also a bit tight on seating space so expect to be a bit crammed. The steak tasted a bit too much like wine and was chewy. We enjoyed the escargot but wasn’t as boldly flavored as expected. The ravioli however was delicious, great texture and subtly flavored with butter and garlic, would recommend as a side dish.

We came here to celebrate my husband’s birthday and had such a wonderful experience. Due to a flight delay, we had to head straight to the venue with our luggage, as I had made a reservation—but we were welcomed so warmly that any stress from the journey quickly melted away. The hospitality and kindness of the staff truly stood out. Everyone was incredibly warm which made our visit even more special. I've already recommended this place to a friend living in Paris, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thank you for making our celebration so memorable!

The best French cuisine food I have ever had... beautiful atmosphere and excellent service despite the small place and heat inside but absolutely recommend. The food presentation and flavors were incredible. Make a reservation! It’s an intimate space, and the owner was kind and made a real effort to accommodate guests without one.

We had a lovely experience last night. The lamb shank was very soft. It pretty much fell off the bone. The duck was also cooked perfectly. Duck can be a tricky dish and often even professional chefs dry it out too much. The desserts were also delicious. We had the Crème Brûlée and the half-baked chocolate cake. The staff were also very attentive and polite. They allowed us to sample all of our wines before purchasing. The only thing I would improve would be the charcuterie board. The salami was very plain. I would have loved to have some spicy salami to contrast the softness of the cheeses. The prosciutto was great though. To be honest, I also found the bread to be quite plain. Some sort of herb or seeded bread would have been nice. You could also rotate different breads, maybe once a fortnight/month to see what people like. Food for thought. Would definitely return.

Carette is a well-established and sophisticated café renowned for its delectable sandwiches, inventive macarons, and traditional French pastries. It's been suggested that Carette offers the finest macarons in Paris, with locals favoring it over other famous establishments. The Place des Vosges location is particularly recommended for an authentic experience in Le Marais.
Perfect spot for coffee and pastries. They have all types of food, but we got the croissant and a caramel dessert. This place highly exceeded our expectations. The iced coffee with cream was a great way to start a warm summer day. The staff was friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. We only had to wait about 15 minutes on a busy Friday morning to get in. Will definitely be back sometime soon. We will highly recommend this to all of our friends coming from America.

I recently enjoyed brunch at Carette at Place du Trocadéro, and it lived up to its reputation. The food was delicious—flaky pastries, fresh croissants, and their famous rich hot chocolate with chantilly cream were spot-on and exactly what I expected from a classic Parisian café. The service was smooth despite the busy vibe, and the location near the Eiffel Tower added to the charm. However, be prepared for a long line, especially during peak times. If you’re short on time, plan accordingly or consider visiting during off-hours. Overall, a solid brunch spot worth visiting if you can handle the wait.

Stopped by Carette Café and it completely lived up to the hype! Their famous hot chocolate topped with a mountain of fresh whipped cream is a must-try — rich, thick, and absolutely heavenly. It’s easily one of the best hot chocolates I’ve ever had in Paris. I also ordered their Roasted Sea Bass, which was cooked to perfection — tender, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The seasoning was subtle and elegant, just what you’d expect from a classic Parisian café. The atmosphere is charming and elegant, with a great view and friendly service even when the place gets busy. Perfect spot for a relaxed lunch or an afternoon treat. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Paris!

I like this place so much I visited twice in 4 days the last time I was in town 2 years ago. As I was playing tour guide for my sister and the first spot I showed her was Trocadero, I suggested we have an early dinner here while we wait for the sunset so she could see the Eiffel twinkling. Per usual, there was a wait. The spunky lady out front was giving friendly vibes. We were starving so we took the first available set. We ideally wanted to sit outside. We ended up sharing a salad and omelette and the hot chocolate. I enjoyed my meal. The service however was crazy. We asked the guy who was waiting on us for water THREE times. We asked two other people, the man who dropped off our food and another server who happened to walk by our area. None of them came back with water for us. What I did however see was them carrying trays with water going to the diners seated outside. I felt some type of way about this. It brought me back to the same treatment I got in Spain that wreaked if racist vibes. The guy finally realized it was the end of our meal and there were still no water on our table and offered a half ass apology and said he would bring it out right away.

if you're looking for that thick hot chocolate with croissant to dip in this is your sign to go here! i think the hot chocolate and croissant +chantily (whipped cream) or vienna style hot chocolate is amazing and that is enough to order to experience this place! it's a bit long queue and touristy but somehow worth the wait (especially if you're a first timer and want cute pictures) also, i believe the price is quite touristy and some menu are just over the price, but the location is convinience and you want to prepare yourself for a long long queue! 🍫🥛

You truly made our trip to Paris special ☺️ and I will definitely be coming back in December!

We visited this lovely café / pastry shop/ restaurant and had a cappuccino and a hot chocolate, the hot chocolate was made with real chocolate and it was absolutely delicious! A must-try! I also had some macarons which were incredibly tasty. Everything was high quality and full of flavor. It’s located near the Eiffel Tower, worth the stop when visiting that area
Joud M — Google review
I had a lovely experience at Carette overall! The place has such a charming Parisian vibe — perfect for relaxing and people-watching. I was a little disappointed to learn that they don’t serve croissants in the afternoon anymore, since I was really looking forward to having one with my hot chocolate. As someone who loves sweets, I found their famous hot chocolate a bit too sweet for my taste, but the macarons were absolutely amazing — light, flavorful, and perfectly made. All in all, it was still a delightful visit, and I’d definitely come back for the macarons and the cozy atmosphere.

Nestled in the heart of Le Marais, Paris, Le Loir dans La Théière is a charming tea house and patisserie that exudes a bohemian atmosphere. The eclectic decor features mismatched tables and chairs, vintage theater posters adorning the walls, and a long marble counter displaying an array of over twenty homemade cakes and pies. From lemon meringue pie to chocolate pear tart, the selection is both generous and mouthwatering.
Found this place when the place we were headed was closed for renovations. What a fortunate find! Matthew, our waiter, was VERY helpful in explaining the menus to us and the wide variety of delicious desserts. There was one item we ordered that didn’t agree with our American taste buds and he happily exchanged is for a delicious club sandwich that we loved. Friendly place, great service, delicious food! Highly recommend.

Delicious lemon meringue pie! I love the adequate sweetness and the pillowy softness from the meringue, lemon custard is sour, I like the sourness, perfect with the meringue. I’m now made of 80% lemon meringue 🤪 I happily waited 45 mins for the lemon meringue to be ready and it was worth the weight. It not only looked impressive, but tasted incredible. The citron was tart and the meringue super fluffy, sticky and sweet. The staff were really friendly too.

This has been on my want to go list for a long time and I’m so happy I made it. Delicious French food with tarts, sandwiches, salads and dishes of the day - but the star is obviously the cakes. They had easily 20 different cakes and pies on offer - well sized for sharing - and lots of creative options. The service was good and the place extends quite far in the back so the line to get in moves quite quickly. Definitely a new staple for future visits.

Well known for its formidable assortment of cakes and pies, this quirky establishment with an Alice in Wonderland theme also serves excellent omelette. The omelette aux grissolle is packed with mushroom and natural tastes. Love the chocolate and mascarpone pie!

Very disappointing experience because this place was so well rated. We had two different kinds of pie (quiche) - both over cooked. Then we still wanted to try our luck with the delicious looking desserts but that was equally disappointing. The flan had zero vanilla taste. The signature lemon Mareng cake did not have a good taste. And the Normand cake was very simple. Only giving two stars for the very friendly staff.

Bakery
Du Pain et des Idées is a renowned bakery in Paris, known for its traditional French pastries and the signature "pain des amis" bread. The bakery's founder, Christophe Vasseur, takes pride in handcrafting the Friendship Bread, using organic flour to achieve its distinct flavor and crusty texture. In the morning, visitors can indulge in a variety of house-made pastries such as raisin rolls and different flavors of l'escargot (a traditional morning Danish).
Stumbled upon this bakery on our walk and I must say, it was one of the best I have tried in Paris. Their apricot tart with almond base is absolutely divine. Cannot wait to come back and try some other things too! Definitely a hidden gem.

If you're in the area, it's worth trying everything, as each product is a little culinary masterpiece. Definitely one of the best places I've had the chance to visit!

Du Pain et des Idées is a must-visit bakery located in Paris’s 10th arrondissement, one of the city’s most authentic and surprisingly safe neighborhoods, where you can still find some of the most affordable living compared to central Paris. The bakery itself dates back to 1875, and you can feel its timeless charm the moment you step in. But the real joy comes when you sit outside: right in front, there are wooden tables where you can enjoy their unforgettable croissants and the famous escargot pastry. A little tip – grab a coffee from the lovely café just next door, then settle down at the bakery’s outdoor tables for the perfect Parisian breakfast moment. This combination of history, flavor, and atmosphere makes it not just a bakery stop, but a true Paris experience.

Croissants were very good, coffee was good but probably a bit overpriced. We were lucky that there was a short queue only when we went but the line was long moments later. Seating limited - only some bench tables outside. We had the pain au chocolates and the pistachio escargot - would recommend both.

best pastries I’ve had in Paris! We got pastries from so many places during our stay in Paris, but this was hands down the best one we tried! I got the Pain Suisse and it was still warm and so flaky - butter and chocolate perfection! Going back for more as soon as possible, truly the best pastries in Paris!
Francesca I — Google review
Extremely overrated, another overhyped photogenic spot… After hearing all the good things about it on social media, we were so looking forward to trying their pistachio snail but only to be left with disappointment. Completely agree with the other comments that it’s soggy and flavourless. You could barely taste the pistachio. To be honest, you don’t have to make a trip just for a croissant in Pairs. In my experience, with boulangeries around every corner of Paris, just head to the closest one to your location. Those frequented by locals would always do better pastries than the popular touristy places
Emma — Google review
This pastry shop lives up to the hype. There was a short line around 10 a.m., but it moved quickly. Two communal tables are available outside for seating. Several varieties of pastries lined the counter, with a special shout-out to the pistachio escargot and flan. My friend got the fig pastry and couldn’t stop raving about it the entire trip. If it were closer to our hotel, we would have visited daily.

Beautiful pastries in a cozy and nice space. I liked how they had a side window to hand over the drinks so the line in the store didn’t seem to get too long. I had “le flan” and it was the perfect complement to their hot chocolate, which was more on the unsweetened side.

Located 125 meters up in the Eiffel Tower, Le Jules Verne is an elegant and airy restaurant offering creative French cuisine and breathtaking city views. The dining room features floor-to-ceiling windows that provide a close-up view of Gustave Eiffel's iconic creation. Diners access the restaurant via a private glass elevator with panoramic city views. The bright and minimalist dining room allows guests to focus on the first-rate cuisine and striking exterior scenery.
If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience look no further than Le Jules Verne. My wife and I enjoyed a leisurely and luxurious lunch there and I'll run out of superlatives by the end of the review. LJV combines three aspects to create a truly unique meal. The meal - we ordered off the lunch menu - I had the crab entree, the langostine main and the rhubarb with ice cream option. My wife ordered the mushroom tortellini, the langostine and the roasted vanilla. Not only was every course exceptional with a mixture of intense flavors, but the chef added extra tasting items which added to the experience. We were delighted with each dish. The venue - the unobstructed view of Paris on a sunny day from 400+ feet up speaks for itself. The service - two words - exemplary/ impeccable. Our server Farhane Bezet is a perfect example . He described every dish in great detail and provided his services with pride in his work and the food he served. La Jules Verne is the rare triple play of great food, unique venue, and unmatched service. Consider a meal there - you'll have a great day!

A work colleague recommended Jules Verne to my wife. We went for lunch and thought it was amazing. The food was spectacular, as is the view of course. The dishes were much more elaborate than suggested by the menu, coming with extra little side dishes, like the fried ris de veau capped with caviar. The ris de veau, by the way, was the best I've ever had. The langoustine dish was also highly rated. Overall, immaculate presentation and masterful cooking. Highly recommended.

Dining at Jules Verne was an unforgettable experience! The stunning views of the Eiffel Tower and the Paris skyline added a magical touch to our lunch. We opted for the seven-course tasting menu, and both the flavors and service were exceptional. While the price is high, it truly offers great value for the quality and experience provided. Definitely would like to go again in the future .

I would give 10 stars if I could. This restaurant’s service and food is outstanding and has set the bar very high for other excellent restaurants I have frequented that do not compare to this wonderful experience. All of the staff from the first person you meet at the entrance to the super professional wait staff made us feel so welcome and special throughout the night. The food is something we still discuss days after our visit. Each of the 7 courses were delicious especially the lobster, turbot and pineapple dessert. The views just add perfection to the experience. An experience like this is unforgettable.

Incredible experience! We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and thoroughly enjoyed their 7 course menu, champagne, wine and views. The food was the best I’ve had in my life, but the flavors were subtle. They really let the ingredients and flavors speak for themselves. I was impressed by the cohesiveness of the menu. Also the desserts were phenomenal. My favorite was the turbot and the langoustine. I also loved the lobster and both desserts. Things to note: - there is a coat check/bag check here. I couldn’t find any info on that online and was worried about bringing a tote bag in with my sneakers so we could walk back to our hotel. So that worked out. - when you enter the restaurant, you go to entrance 1 through security and after you pass that checkpoint, you’ll see more signs and an entrance to the restaurant. - the staff is amazing and so accommodating. I overheard them talking to another couple seated away from the window and they offered to move them closer to the window during their meal as a table became available. I thought that was so nice of them. - our reservation was at 1:15 and we didn’t leave until 4:30. You can check out the observation. Deck after your meal too. I highly recommend Jules Verne for a special occasion meal!

This was our second visit to this iconic restaurant, the last one over 20 years ago when Alex Reims was chef. This return visit did not disappoint. The view is excellent and the service is top notch. The menu now is more geared towards molecular gastronomy. Nonetheless the courses were excellent. The pacing, presentation were just right and the food unique and taste was excellent. Do not miss le Frommage ( cheese course: if you are a fan). Hope to return again .

The entire experience was flawless. The team was welcoming, kind, and incredibly attentive. No detail too small, the gastromical journey prepared and presented by true experts. This was a bucket list journey and this time experiencing the best of the best was a cherry on the top. I cannot recommend highly enough.

so good!!!!! It was our first time in the bakery so we just ordered what we thought might’ve been good. I loved the passionfruit desserts i got, they were my favorite ones. Macaroons were soft and chewy and I loved the flavors! The chocolate cake one was a bit too sweet but still 10/10!! I think the third one we got was a carmel thing which we didn’t like as much, the flavor was a bit too bland except for the crunchy shell of sugar. But again we were just randomly trying things, so overall everything was amazing! Will definitely come back again :) !!!

The chocolate babka was very rich and delicious. The other desert had a good amount of rum in it. No coffee or seating here though so find some other place nearby for it. Overall would recommend!

Exquisite lemon tart with good balance of tartness and sweetness Hazelnut Praline cake was excellent Although Stohrer is famous for their rum baba, it’s too alcoholic to my liking. It was drenched in rum syrup

This pastry shop is a gem! The chocolate cakes are decadent and rich, a true treat for any chocoholic. I also loved the pistachio and lemon desserts – the flavors are perfectly balanced, fresh, and not overly sweet. What I appreciate most is the ever-changing selection; it keeps the experience exciting every time I visit. The chocolate section is particularly fantastic, offering a variety of indulgent options. If you're in Paris, this spot is a must-visit for dessert lovers!

Stohrer patisserie is the oldest patisserie in Paris, was founded in 1730 by King Louis XV’s pastry chef, Nicolas Stohrer. The store is beautiful, you should take a look if you’re around. Their patisseries look amazing, I tried raisins and nuts covered with chocolate and the chocolate eclair. Both were amazing 🤤 the quality of their ingredients is top classic. I bet all their offerings taste equally good.

The oldest pastry shop in Paris. What they do is classic but excecuted perfectly. You can taste the sugar and butter properly. Love it. A muat visit when in Paris. Would be great to have a place to sit but not a deal breaker.
Alex G — Google review
Do you prefer modern or classic pastries 🧁? I personally find it hard to choose... But it's true that I love traditions and traditional cuisine in particular. So when I got the opportunity to visit the oldest pastry shop in Paris, I couldn't say no. And when on the top of it, this pastry shop was created by the person who invented the world famous baba au rhum, and baba au rhum was my grandmother's favorite dessert, that shop quickly became THE place I wanted to visit in Paris. 🤩 Who cares about the Eiffel tower, the Champs Elysées or Notre-Dame when you can go to Stohrer?! OK, I'll tell the truth 😇: I've visited Paris so many times that I think I've pretty much seen it all, but I had never been to Stohrer. That helps shifting priorities. 😉 At home, I'm the only one who likes baba, so the rest of the family had other items that I couldn't try because my baba was so huge. They looked good though and my family enjoyed them. 👍 About my baba, I did like it but I must confess I was kinda disappointed. First off, it was too big and I had lunch not so long before. But even without that, I think I'd like it better smaller. The more isn't always the merrier. 🤷 Also, it's a matter of taste but I prefer when the syrup is sweeter and less alcoholic. In fact, I've realized that I prefer Neapolitan baba (sweeter for what I've experienced) to French baba. To my Italian friends, that does NOT mean that Italians invented baba. Baba is a Polish pastry modified (enhanced, if you prefer) by a French pastry chef then exported to Naples where it became extremely popular. 🙌 Back again to my baba, I enjoyed it but I don't dream about it. Yet, I wouldn't mind going back to Stohrer and trying other things 😋 (and / or the baba again 😜). I almost forgot: as opposed to other places in Paris, I didn't find Stohrer extremely expensive. In fact, less than €6 for that huge (historical) baba seemed quite fair. 👏 . . . Quality & taste: 8/10 Quantities: 10/10 Atmosphere: n/a Originality: 10/10 Ratio price / quality: 9/10 Service: 9/10 How I felt afterwards: 9/10

Verjus is a popular New American restaurant located in Paris, known for its stunning tasting menu and impressive wine list. The restaurant was founded by Americans Braden Perkins and Laura Adrian, who previously hosted successful Hidden Kitchen dinners out of their apartment. Verjus offers inventive and outstanding cuisine that changes daily and seasonally, featuring fixed menus with a diverse range of ingredients, techniques, and cultural influences. The multi-course menus are designed to surprise and delight diners.
I had a nice dinner at Verjus. Staff is so friendly. The Space is beautiful. And the food was delicious, the vegetables treatment is amazing, so delicious, as much as outshine the meat and the fish. I will be back, for sure.

A very pleasant dinner. All the courses were good, but the fish was fantastic. The combinations of flavours worked really well. Service was friendly. Its a bit dark in the restaurant.
Nicole V — Google review
Verjus is one of those hidden gems you dream about discovering in Paris. If you’re not looking for it, you might walk right past — it’s tucked away on a quiet side street near the Jardin du Palais Royal. My wife and I went to Paris this spring to celebrate our ten-year wedding anniversary, and while we dined at plenty of great places, this meal stood out as something truly magical. The restaurant itself is small and intimate — just a handful of tables, spaced close enough to feel cozy but not cramped. The staff is tiny too (maybe two servers total), but they were warm, attentive, and efficient. Our server spoke solid English (which was a relief given our terrible French) and explained each dish clearly. We booked late and ended up with the earliest reservation of the night. For the first 15–20 minutes, we had the place to ourselves, which felt almost too quiet, but as other tables slowly filled in, the vibe turned warm and lively. My guess is they stagger the reservations to keep the flow manageable for the small team — and it works. We were completely satisfied with the service. Now, the food. Wow. This was one of the best meals we had in Paris — maybe one of the top meals I’ve ever had. The menu is set, so you won’t be picking from a list, but honestly, that’s part of the charm. It is clear that they chef has put a tremendous amount of time and effort into curating the meal. Each course was beautifully plated and thoughtfully composed, with a strong seasonal and farm-to-table feel (see my non-Instagram worthy pictures). The flavors were elegant but not over-complicated—a balanced approach to the typical high-end tasting menu. They do say they can accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions, though we didn’t test that out. And while the experience isn’t cheap, it’s very fairly priced compared to other tasting menus of this caliber in Paris. Definitely spring for the wine pairing — it elevated the meal even more. In short: if you’re in Paris and want a special dining experience make time for Verjus. But unlike us, try to book well in advanced. However, it you can’t get in there is a cozy bar in the basement.
David J — Google review
This was one of the best dining experiences I have enjoyed in my life. Restaurant is quaint and charming. The servers were all so friendly and polite. They took time to speak to us about both the food, and our Paris experience. We paired our courses with wine, and all three complimented the food beautifully. Doing so is pricey, but if you want to have a fabulous dining experience and have a meal you will always remember, then I can’t recommend the restaurant enough

Artfully prepared, delicious tasting menu! So well thought-out and prepared. The service was friendly, informative, and efficient. We don’t know French and they kindly accommodated us in English. The ambiance is very sweet and quaint. Not too busy with reservation system. Highly recommend!

A different type of service but amazing on all fronts. You will start off with some champagne in the front and then walk upstairs to the communal dining room. I am not the most adventurous eater but I tried everything and it was all amazing. Each had its own wine pairing and all of the dishes were well explained and sourced locally. You will sit with other groups but we made great friends with the people across from us. Fish, beef, dessert were all fantastic. The experience took a few hours but they were spent with smiles.
Nathan M — Google review
One of our best meals in Paris this time around; everything was consistently delicious. The potatoes with smoked trout was the standout for me: the richness of the roe, the smokiness of the trout, and the acid coming from the pickled onion worked well together. All in all each dish was unique and very balanced. The only one that was good not great was the lamb with peas. Will be back next time we are in town.
Art R — Google review
I wish I could give this place 10 stars! Every dish was exquisite. I especially loved the tomatoes tonight. The menu changes all the time so I’m excited to come back again and again. A perfect place to celebrate. It was my birthday along with guests at two other tables so I guess everyone had the same idea. The wine pairing was just right. The herbs are grown at their own farm outside of Paris. The service is terrific. The small space is adorable. They did a great renovation. The location on the Palais royal is wonderful. I love everything about Verjus.

Located in the 7th arrondissement close to the Eiffel Tower, Kozy Bosquet offers a varied brunch menu every day from 10 am to 1 pm. The cafe is small and cozy, perfect for weekend brunching. Items on the menu include savory and sweet pancakes, eggs Benedict and avocado toast, homemade peanut butter, hot drinks and juices.
We purposely grab to this cafe for a brunch. The decor was beautiful, creating a lovely and inviting ambience. The fancy food was just as impressive! We tried the which was a unique and enjoyable choice. The staffs are nice and friendly. We are well taken care of. A pleasant and enjoyable time. We walked to Eiffel tower after the wonderful meal!

Absolutely stunning! We purposely went to this cafe due to the great reviews and close proximity to our hotel. So many unique options to choose from! The service was quick too! We had the avocado benny, fruit pancakes, and avocado toast. All were delicious!!
Grace W — Google review
I'm torn about how to rate this restaurant. We had to wait 50 minutes to get a table and there was a long line outside. The mocha coffee was delicious. The two avocado dishes I had were also great. The pancakes with bacon weren't anything special, you don't need to try them. Unfortunately, the restroom is very strange, located right next to the open kitchen, the floor was completely wet, you're not allowed to throw anything in the toilet, and the trash can was overflowing. When we left, we noticed that there was still a long line outside, even though there were several seats available inside. Everyone has to interpret the strategy behind this for themselves. All in all, the food was tasty, but it wasn't absolutely outstanding and, in our opinion, didn't justify the waiting time, price, and atmosphere.

I stopped by this small, cozy restaurant on my way to Eiffel tower, and really enjoyed the experience! It has a lively, bustling vibe and offers a great variety of tempting dishes. The staff is friendly and making sure you’re well taken care of throughout your meal. It usually gets crowded in this place, and the tables are on the smaller side, so space can feel tight at times. Still, the warm atmosphere and nice food definitely make it worth a visit. I’d happily come back again!

Wow—Kozy Bosquet absolutely blew me away! The coffee is next level—bold, smooth, and perfectly brewed every time. It’s the kind of cup that makes you stop and say damn, that’s good. And the croissants? Pure magic. Flaky on the outside, soft and buttery on the inside—couldn’t be more Parisian than this! Add in the cozy vibe and friendly staff, and you’ve got a place that hits all the right notes.

This was DELICIOUS! My husband & I both had the pancake bacon duo, and were shocked at how well the different flavors all meshed together. The sun dried tomatoes were a very welcome addition. I also had the sesame vanilla latte and loved how unique the flavor was. Service was very quick and well worth the 30 min wait for a table. It is cramped in here, which is the only reason I gave 4 stars for atmosphere.

We had an amazing experience at Kozy Brunch! The service was super friendly and professional, the staff speaks both English and French, which made everything even smoother. We ordered the Avocat Halloumi Benny, Pancakes Fruits Frais Trio, and a Caramel Cortado, everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The food quality is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. Definitely one of the best brunch spots in Paris, highly recommended!

Nestled in the charming 9th arrondissement, Chez Delphine is a delightful bistro that exudes rustic charm and offers an array of hearty French dishes. This cozy spot is perfect for those seeking an authentic local dining experience away from the tourist crowds. Guests rave about the standout quiche and other delectable options like duck and Iberia pork pluma, which boasts tender meat with a crispy crust and flavorful sauce.
We came here on a Saturday evening after a full day walking around Paris. Didn't book but was seated very quickly. Great atmosphere when we walked in. The food was delicious & served quickly by friendly waiter. Favourite dishes were French onion soup, beef bourgioion, chicken & green beans. Very reasonably priced for the quality French cuisine on offer. Would definitely recommend it.
Caz K — Google review
My experience was a mixed bag, which is a shame considering all the positive reviews. Food: The onion soup gratin starter wasn’t very good. The consistency wasn’t soupy; it was more like a thick gravy. It also didn’t have the sweet and savory depth it should. Instead, it had a strong, musty flavor that threw everything off. My main was the pork belly, which tasted incredible. Worth a visit just for that. I was with a friend who had the prawn starter and beef tartare main. They said both dishes were simple, not bad but not great. Service: Not very attentive and somewhat rude.
Austin K — Google review
Classic French food with friendly staff. Excellent grilled prawns. The duck breast is also very great and tender. The texture of breast could be better if the tendons are cut/ removed. Appreciate it has affordable set menu for customers, highly recommend to come!

Everything about the location, food & service was absolutely amazing! We had leek appetizer, beef bourguignon for main dish & several desserts including the best cheesecake we have ever tasted. If in Paris, seek this restaurant & make reservations. Note-beef Wellington was not on the menu, perhaps it’s a seasonal dish.

Came to this unassuming, less touristy bistro for lunch. We were the only non-French speak people, lol Not a problem as staff was fluent in English. Ordered duck and Iberia pork pluma for lunch. I have had many great fried pork chops in Japan/Taiwan but this one is as good, or even better than the ones I had before. The Meat was super tender while the crust was crispy and the sauce was very flavorful. Merci beaucoup

Always good always consistent. Very fair pricing and yet good quality produce. One of our go-to restaurant everytime we are back in Paris
Simon W — Google review
I visited here Saturday 25th October and found that it didn’t quite level up to my expectations. I had the country terrine, chicken supreme and mashed potato with green beans and the cheesecake. My main was really delicious, and the starter and dessert were a bit so-so. My boyfriend had the beef bourguignon and it was great but the bacon was tough. However it was mostly the service that let it down. When we asked about certain dishes (because the menu is very limited in information) we received very little helpful responses from the waiter. When we asked what the catch of the day was, the waiter told us salmon, with no information on what with. He just replied ‘sauce’, and when we later asked what cheesecake it was (because it literally just says cheesecake on the menu) he said berry. When it arrived, it was actually a vanilla cheesecake with (I think, caramel cream on top) and then a bit of berry coulis on the plate. I wouldn’t have chosen the cheesecake had I received more information. The waiting staff weren’t super engaging either, but I appreciate on that it was a busy Saturday night. In short, the quality of the mains are very strong, but the menu is really missing detail and the staff don’t seem informed enough about the food. Improving this would really level up the experience!

Le Comptoir du Relais is a charming French bistro located in the heart of Paris. Chef Yves Camdeborde's innovative approach to bistro cuisine has made this restaurant a standout in the culinary scene. During lunchtime, it operates as a simple brasserie offering well-priced set menus featuring traditional French dishes like foie gras and steak frites.
Nice spot in a bustling area. Restaurant was not fancy but had a casual bistro feel. The gentleman who waited on us was courteous and helped us with our escargots (memorable because the snail went flying!). We ordered the dozen snails (fun and tasty for our first time), terrine plat du jour (lovely flavours see description in photo) and beef cheek stew (tender meat, vegetables were cooked just right). We also had unlimited bread (realized this is the norm here in Paris). We had a couple glasses of wine. Nice place. We came early so it was quiet but I think it would have been busy later on in the evening and would have good vibes.
Turtlekeeper D — Google review
A delightful authentic French dining experience at the bistro!  The escargots and the beef tartare were well prepared that changed my mind about them. And the smooth red wine was a perfect pairing. It's a good choice at the hustling street-side atmosphere.

came here after not eating all day. Was half dead of exhaustion and starvation, so I ordered the mac & cheese and vanilla rice pudding. The second the mac & cheese hit my taste buds exploded into a world of cheesiness and exquisite delight. I’m not kidding when I say this is the best mac & cheese I’ve ever had. And the rice pudding was good too.! 😂😋
Emmylou G — Google review
The food was good, and the service was friendly and efficient. The escargots were nicely done, and everything was well presented. That said, I didn’t really get that wow factor I was hoping for the dishes were solid, but nothing stood out as exceptional. I left feeling a bit underwhelmed, to be honest. Would I come back? Probably not, I’d rather explore other spots in the area next time. Would I recommend it? Yes, especially if you’re after a casual French bistro vibe in Saint-Germain.
VIC — Google review
Good atmosphere. Good was terrible. This is the most dry croque Madame I’ve ever had. There was no bechamel, nothing. If this is the location Anthony bourdain raved about, this must have lost its sparkle. Waste of money for a dry ham and cheese. The free bread they serve vs the sliced bread shown would have helped.
Angelica J — Google review
Really great food and a good and fast service. It is possible that you have to wait in line for a table to be free, but no one is rushed after being sited.
Ana C — Google review
Yes, Tony brought me here. Is it worth the hype? Probably not so much any more. While the escargot and French onion soup was fantastic, the steak/frites was ok only. The steak was tough and chewy. Not sure if this is how French like their steaks…it was very lean. Having said that, the service remains impeccable and had cool Parisen bistro atmosphere to it. Recommend yes, but it seems like it’s a different restaurant that Tony raved about years ago.
Eric H — Google review
The combination of time and a change of ownership has not been kind to this formerly wonderful bistro. While we were happy to find it on a Sunday night after wandering the 6th looking desperately for somewhere open to eat, there was much lacking in the meal, despite the efforts of a kind staff. Plates were sloppily prepared, sides were the same across several meals, and the food lacked the energy that it used to have. But the rose was decent and we had a good time. Eat there only if necessary.

While it may not overshadow some of the charming smaller patisseries scattered throughout the city, it certainly shines when it comes to its Quiche Lorraine—widely regarded as one of the finest versions around. This delightful bakery offers an impressive array of fresh sandwiches, pastries, and viennoiseries that cater to every craving.
This is the second trip to Paris and came back to The Smiths Bakery. Very traditional French food and desserts. Amazing. All very fresh.

A local bakery tucked inside the Rue de Buci pedestrian area, offering both savory items and desserts that look absolutely tempting and at reasonable prices too. We picked up a lemon tart, a strawberry tart, and éclairs. The classic lemon tart stood out in particular: the crust was crisp, the lemon filling smooth and layered with flavor, delicious. The éclairs, filled with either chocolate or caramel cream, were also excellent, the shell was crisp, and the rich filling packed the entire éclair.

This bakery is nestled on a charming Parisian street full of lively cafés and restaurants. They offer a great selection of both sweet and savory pastries. I had the salmon, avocado, and cream cheese bagel - it was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of saltiness and creaminess. A great spot for a midday snack or light lunch. Highly recommend!

We stopped by Smiths Bakery in the Latin Quarter and really enjoyed it. The lemon cheesecake was as good as people said, and the chai latte? Easily one of the best we've had—and we've tried quite a few in our travels! Just a quick note: like many places around tourist areas, they do charge a bit more if you sit inside. But sitting outside and watching the world go by makes it a nice experience overall. The only thing that could be improved is the service—it could definitely be a bit friendlier.

Smith's Bakery in Paris is a cute little place with lots of fresh pastries, cakes, sandwiches, bread & croissants. The prices are fair, which is great. It's small inside, so there's not a ton of seating, but you can usually find 4 or 5 seats if you want to sit down with a coffee and a treat. A nice breakfast experience, but a bit overhyped. We got there around 9:30 and managed to grab the only available table without a reservation. By 10:30, the place was full and quite a few people had to leave. The café is very popular and clearly in high demand. We had the shakshuka, pancakes, focaccia, and some extra halloumi — all tasty, but none of them really had a “wow” factor. The golden latte was a nice and different option on the menu. Overall, we enjoyed it, but the hype might set expectations a little too high.

Got here early so not that many people there yet. As per most people’s recommendation we ordered green eggs and pancakes with fruit. I am not really a pancake person but was surprisingly impressed. It’s made with orange juice that gives it a unique sweetness. My wife also liked their green eggs. It went perfectly with fresh bread. Don’t forget to add bacons to your breakfast! A fantastic touch by the chef as it’s crispy but not dry. Last but not least, the simple but artsy setting is well complemented with its background music - mostly soft vocal jazz and 90s pops. Well done!

Lovely restaurant with good and healthy food. I had a small spinach, union, feta and egg in a hot pan. Which was excellent and enough. The shakshuka also looked very nice! Everything is fresh, healthy and really good. The waitresses are lovely, very friendly.

Great little place to tuck into for a cup of coffee or breakfast! Really enjoyed the local feel of this place! Nice selection of a menu with some real speciality plates that takes this up a notch from a normal breakfast place. Lovely cup of coffee!

MAISON LANDEMAINE CLICHY is a popular bakery and café in Paris, known for its delicious and affordable breakfast options. Visitors rave about the salami sandwich, ham and cheese sandwich, cappuccino, Drops, pain au raisins, tartelette au citron meringuee, almond croissant, and other pastries. The bakery offers a comfortable space to enjoy quick bites or prix meals at reasonable prices.
This boulangerie was right across from Hotel le Cardinal where we stayed for several days last week. We popped in daily. This place has low reviews and I'm not sure why. Their staff is friendly and very helpful. Their food is delicious and the selection is great. The croque monsuire was the best one we had around Paris and it was also the largest (the photo is half of it). Don't forget the pain au chocolat, croissants, pain au chocolat aux amande, croissant aux amande, choquettes, quiche Lorraine and jambon buerre. I had a latte the first time we went there and it was the first time I had a coffee without sweetener. It was smooth and delicious. You will not be disappointed if you stop by. We sure are missing them 😊🇫🇷 Merci!

It is more expensive than the other bakeries we had been yet also the worse one, and we have tried a ton of their food. We got two different quiche and both of them didn't taste like much and whatever we could taste was bad so they were thrown away, one goat cheese salad which was the size of a quiche and 8.50 Euros without any sauce on it or offered next to it, chicken wrap, eclair which was a bit more elasticy than how it should be, even the basic flan didn't taste good. Overall we have paid 52 Euros for what you can see on the pictures and half of it was thrown away.

Decent boulangerie, but the pastries didn’t taste very fresh. Expected better quality for the price

A charming bakery and coffee shop that’s definitely worth a visit ☕🥐 From fresh pastries to perfectly brewed coffee, this cozy spot hits all the right notes.

While strolling around in winter on a weekend, we came across Maison Landemaine by chance—and what a fantastic surprise it was. The moment we walked in, the aroma of fresh bread and pastries drew us in. We sampled a variety of both, and each one was exceptional. From the perfectly crusty breads to the delicate, buttery pastries, everything was full of flavor and clearly made with care. On top of that, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. A wonderful spot for anyone who appreciates quality French baking and warm service.

Comfortable space with great meals to eat if you want a quick bite. We ordered the prix meals which were well priced and soundly made. A nice little space for seating and close to our hotel. Lines can be long but still worth it for a stop if needed.

I had a nightmare dining experience, especially due to the awful attitude of the store staff, particularly a woman with short white hair. She was an impatient discriminator and even threw a piece of bread at me. I believe that is not friendly behavior. If you are not French, don’t go to this store.

Cafe
Cafe Loustic in Paris prides itself on being one of the best espresso bars globally, offering a variety of coffee blends sourced from Belgium's Caffenation. The cafe provides an ever-changing selection of coffees and also sells some blends for visitors to take home. Its stylish and chic ambiance, with bright pink cushions, bamboo bar, and vintage Hermes wallpaper, creates a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of a friend's apartment.
Lovely cafe! The iced latte was delicious as was the pain au chocolat. You can use your laptop and get work done here or grab a drink with friends. The owner is very friendly and nice. The aesthetic is great, too! Reminded me of San Francisco

An absolute 10 out of 10 for this place, we read an article online and decided to travel to the other side of Paris to come and have a cup of coffee and it was well worth it! The coffee is amazing, the food just as great and the barista Emma is a gem, she's friendly and makes the place feel so welcoming. Definitely make a plan to come here if you're ever in Paris even if just for a day.

As a coffee lover, I can confirm this place is AMAZING! They take their coffee really serious! It is so fresh it tastes heavenly. Also love how they don’t charge extra for a double shot of espresso. I’ve been there twice and I love their cappuccino. Also, they have a very lovely indoor space in the back, with old movies playing on a projector, such a cool touch!

Excellent service, goes above and beyond. Of course the coffee and desserts are also delicious. You can easily enjoy this quaint place with the help of the staff who will guide you to make your choice regardless of your coffee expertise. I will definitely visit again to try their brunch menu.

The quiches are amazing and the latte with oat milk was really good (they charge extra for non-dairy milk). The place itself is cute but I felt the seats were a bit uncomfortable. The owner is nice but it seemed like a one-man show and he seemed to get a bit flustered when it got a bit busy.

The best coffee I had In Paris. Amazon coffee beans from Caffenation (Antwerp Belgium), great service and attention from a smiling staff! Pastries are made by artisans from the area (Emperor Norton, Broken Biscuits, Geronimo...). Also their playlists are amazing whether you need to work or simply are here to chill with friends. I definitely recommend that place!

A little nest next to the Latin neighborhood is what best describes Loustic. Great and friendly staff. Comfortable seating options and a hidden toilet. Few eating options but plenty of drinks to chose. Price is still affordable for the district.

Visiting café Loustic and meeting Channa was the first thing I did when I arrived in Paris on my most recent trip, and frankly was so nice to be able to sit down and have a lovely conversation from one coffee professional to another. This shop is dynamite for its espresso and the aeropress made for my friend quite literally made me emotional - it was SO GOOD. Thanks for all you do mate. Best of luck and will see you again!

Nestled in a charming courtyard off the bustling rue Vieille du Temple, Jaja is a modern-rustic bistro offering a seasonal menu and organic wines. The verdant terrace and glass atrium create a countryside ambiance, complementing Chef Eduardo Gonzalez's creative cuisine. Dishes like green asparagus with capers and mustard sauce or veal rack with potato mousseline showcase the bistro's culinary prowess.
What can I say it was all hits, from the wine recommendation, the starters, the excellent excellent veal and duck, the citron tart. Service was warm and friendly too. And prices were not crazy. Easily one of, if not the best meal I had in Paris. Underrated. Come!

If you want to step away from the crowds and have a spectacular, slow paced lunch, this local hideout is not to be missed. Arrive on the early side, wander back into the ancient courtyard, and order absolutely anything on their small menu. Everything is prepared perfectly. Sophisticated, yet casual business crowd. Juju has a price lunch menu, $27 E. Charming young waiter, exceptional service. Highly recommended.

delicious food in a cosy atmosphere. Waiters are really nice and service is efficient. highly recommended ! I had the roasted cauliflower which was a bit pricey I think, but otherwise everything was perfect!

Overpriced and not very good. I ordered the ceviche as an appetizer and it had no citrus taste and was very small— there was a piece of paper in the dish. They offered to remake it but it wasn’t very good so I said no it’s fine.(was not taken off the bill). The fish of the day main dish was not cooked well and was bland. The steak and potatos were a small portion for the price. This resturant has potential but the food needs to be much better

Very disappointed with the food — the flavors were bland and uninspired. The tableware had no sense of design or aesthetics, and the environment was extremely noisy. Service was slow, and the dishes took far too long to arrive. Overall, not a pleasant dining experience.

This was my first meal in Paris. Lovely walk from hotel to this outlet. Missed the bfst time so we opted for the meal of the day, which was avocado sandwich with poached egg on top with green salad. Best part was the roasted nuts! Tasted amazing! Complimented the dish with a cup of slow coffee. Finished off the meal with carrot cake w/ cream cheese frosting. Did not disappoint at all 🥰

Love the coffee and food of this place!! Service is a bit so so, the girls are all a bit on slow mo and not particularly dynamic - only had a great experience with an Ozzie waiter who recommended perfect food choices so heads up to him ✨! The place is nice, there is seating outside. Only drawback is that there is no AC so inside can get very warm. Recommended regardless.

Found another great cafe here in Paris owned by an Aussie 🇦🇺. Great coffee, the quality you know and love in Oz, the flat white was a double shot, which made it that little bit better. We went on a Saturday so they opened a little later at 9:30am and the kitchen opened at 10am. We had the bagel with salmon, creme cheese, avocado, lettuce, and hollandaise sauce served with a side salad with a delicious honey mustard dressing. There were things like scones and banana bread available prior to 10am. Definitely head here if you want a good quality coffee and a brunch that will fill you up for the rest of the day.

Authentic Local Gem – Friendly and Delicious Breakfast! We had breakfast at Le Voltigeur, and it was such a lovely, local experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and warm – while they had limited English, they made a real effort and were always polite and welcoming. The breakfast was simple but full of quality: they served natural fresh honey, good coffee, and fresh fruit juices – all really enjoyable. And the best part? The price was surprisingly cheap for such a nice and authentic spot. If you’re looking for a no-fuss, genuine Parisian café with kind service and quality food, this one’s a hidden gem.

The most beautiful grocery store I've ever been to! You must go here. They have everything you could ever imagine. The staff was so kind and generous. I bought the most delicious French delicacies to take back to the states- butter, cheese, chocolates, wine.
Rachel E — Google review
La Grande Épicerie is the definition of Parisian elegance in supermarket form. The selection is incredible — from the impeccable cheese counter to the bakery that looks and smells like a dream. Everything felt curated, elevated, and oh-so-bougie in the best way. Shopping here made me feel like a true Parisian. I wandered the aisles with my little basket, picking out gourmet items to take back to my hotel — and honestly, the things I bought satisfied my palate more than some of the restaurants I tried. It’s a foodie heaven. My only (minor) disappointment? They no longer stock coffee creamer — something they apparently used to carry. A very kind floor attendant walked me all the way to where it would’ve been, then explained that most French people drink their coffee black, so creamer just isn’t in demand. Fair — but still, I mourned a little. Overall, I loved the experience. It’s not just a grocery store — it’s a lifestyle. A delicious, classy, very Parisian lifestyle.

Les Cocottes, a chic and refined bistro located near the Eiffel Tower, is one of the many restaurants by renowned chef Christian Constant. The restaurant offers a menu of light and delicious dishes served in cute little cocotte dishes, including stewed cod, cottage pie, and cassoulet. The cozy spot is known for its simple yet delectable offerings such as creamy parsnip soup with crunchy croutons and roasted pigeon with creamy mashed potatoes.
My partner and I dined at Les Cocottes during our 3-day trip to Paris, just a stone’s throw from the Eiffel Tower. The food was exquisite, and we even tried pigeon for the first time – a real highlight! The staff were welcoming and attentive, and we had the option to sit either indoors or outdoors. We thoroughly enjoyed this taste of French cuisine and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Paris.

Sorry for posting this review so late, but I couldn’t forget the taste of this restaurant so I really wanted to write it. The environment is great, and the duck breast on Tuesday was amazing—super delicious, the first bite was truly impressive. The snails had no strange smell at all, and the sauce was very appetizing. Every dish was surprising in a good way. Next time I come to France, I’d love to try the Wednesday menu too, haha. By the way, the short-haired lady at the reception was really nice. Since we are foreigners, she spoke very slowly when explaining the dishes to us. Jonathan, who took our order, was very polite and adorable. He always checked whether we had enough food on the table and even tried to talk with us in simple Chinese—he was really fun! Highly recommended! I’ll definitely suggest this place to my friends who travel to Paris. It’s very authentic French cuisine

We like all the food! The squid ink pasta risotto, escargot and beef tartare are delicious. The pigeon is very tender. Pig Trotter in potato is very flavorful and the side salad tastes fresh with tasty dressing. The creme brulee melts in your mouth and is not too sweet. Stella and Damien are so friendly. Their smiles and humorous chatting makes a welcoming atmosphere. I definitely want to come again and recommend to anyone who will come to Paris.

Very good food. I had lobster bisque and razor clams, my dad had chicken. I was a bit cautious that it might be another tourist trap, but that’s not the case. Service was very nice and attentive by Damien, we got 2 bread basket 😸 recommended

This is our first time in Paris and I spoke to my concierge about a last minute authentic Parisian dinner around this neighborhood. She highly recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint! Our server Stella was so warm and friendly! My youngest has dairy allergies but they were so accommodating and cooked his steak without butter so he can feel like a real Parisian. He gobbled it up! We had a great family dinner and I highly recommend!

Great restaurant - just around the corner from the Eiffel Tower so it was a great place to relax after a long day of hustling and bustling. Great staff with good food - the lobster bisque and the pasta risotto were our favourites. The area is not too busy so getting a spot in their outdoor patio is great for people/Paris watching without hordes of pedestrians walking by. Definitely recommended.

I visited Les Cocottes for the first time a few years ago. I popped in as it looked like there were many locals. The food (the set lunch was a great deal) left a great impression and last week I went there again. I’m a big fan of French country cooking and this was an amazing meal. We had the lobster bisque, escargots , potatoes stuffed with trotters, and pigeon. The service was friendly and warm (the server gave us helpful advice on how well the pigeon should be done) and I can’t recommend it enough. I would definitely go again.

Amazing spot for really good French food! They emphasize quality ingredients and home cooking. A bit on the pricier side but definitely worth it if you’re looking for a good meal and the vibe of sitting outside in the Marais. I recommend the lamb, it goes amazing with the mustard they give you. The duck confit was good as well but in my opinion the lamb was more flavourful. The wait times are usually long as it’s a popular restaurant so come at an off time!

We were sited in the back room near the stairs to the restrooms. The place is really small and has too many tables that it makes it hard to walk or get in and out of your chair. Everything was in French and it was hard to understand. We waited like 20 minutes until the waiter came to us and help ya figure out the menu. The food was amazing, we had the chicken curry of the day and the steak with a special sauce and french fries. The creme brûlée was really good. All in all really good food, just would ask to be seated in a different area next time and have better phone service to translate the menu.

Great people watching. Fabulous onion soup. I’d pass on the steak frites… fries were good, but both of us got steaks that were not cooked as ordered. My husband loved the country pâté - said it was the best he’s ever had! Give the End of Summer mocktail a try - bright and refreshing, not too sweet. Espresso cake is like a tiramisu and super rich, seemed like it had a liqueur in it. Went back a second time!

i ordered a steak tartar and it is okay. the meat is fresh but there is not much in it . it’s €23 and the quantity is small. I am shock to see the comment from the owner and mentioning other country without knowing the country well and in a bad manner. i indeed looked at past review and photos and found out the quality and quality is a lot less on this dish than before. There must be a reason why they downsized the dish. I can comment on this with the restaurant country but i am not going to do that as that is cultural stereotyping.

Le Colimaçon is a charming French bistro located in the heart of Marais, Paris. The restaurant offers a cozy ambiance with raw-stone walls and wooden beams, creating a classic Parisian vibe. The menu features creative takes on traditional French dishes, including delicious steak tartare and roasted duck with pears. The intimate space, with its multi-level dining areas and winding staircase, exudes a secret Parisian charm that draws visitors in.
I took my girlfriend here for her birthday - it was the right choice. Great small restaurant, very friendly and kind staff, food and wine is exquisite. We got the steak tar tar, ribeye, escargot (snails), and the pork chop. The escargot was one of the best and most unique we had in France, put in these little homemade edible shells. Everything was just really good and enjoyable, I'd highly recommend it.
Dagr8n8 — Google review
Aside from the amazing snails, which we highly recommend, even for those who don’t usually like them, the rest of the dishes were just average, and the lobster salad is best avoided. We were a group of four and each ordered something different; everything else was fine but nothing special. Ambiance and service were good.
TN L — Google review
Everything about Le Colimaçon is just divine. It is cosy, welcoming, the food is spectacular. I’ve been twice now - the first time I got the rabbit, and the dauphinois potatoes that came with it were so good I almost cried. The goats cheese tart is a must. However, for a truly religious experience, get the escargots and the duck confit. It might truly be the best meal I’ve ever had, and I do not say that lightly.
Rebecca — Google review
My wife and I came here for dinner on the last day of our honeymoon. To say that the experience was divine might not be doing the meal enough justice. The staff was friendly and the service was impeccable. We ordered the oysters and stuffed pimento peppers to start. The oysters were great and came with a fantastic mignonette. The peppers were delicious as was the recommended wine pairing. The rabbit was incredibly tender and juicy - needless to say it was fantastic. However, nothing prepared me for the duck confit - I teared up a little when I had the first bite. No joke. In short - this was probably the best meal I've ever had to date.

Casual style dining, with a not so bad menu, but quiet expensive having in mind the atmosphere and the quality. We had to send back undercooked meat. Nice they serve caviar, but could be better presented. Cocktails not recommended. Good wine. Nice location. 50 euros per person if you don't show up.

A super cozy French restaurant with really friendly and attentive staff. We called the pain perdu au foie gras poêlé - absolutely phenomenal, just heavenly. Definitely my favorite, along with the tartare. The duck confit and the crème brûlée was ok ^^ Highly recommend booking a table in advance, as the place gets quite busy in the evening.

I highly recommend making a recommendation - the place was completely full on a Sunday night.

Tapas bar
Avant Comptoir de la Mer is a chic and modern bar located in an upscale hotel, offering a variety of meaty French sharing plates and an extensive wine list. As part of chef Yves Cambebordes' restaurant collection, this seafood outpost is a popular spot for seafood enthusiasts, serving excellent oysters, raw seafood ceviche, and various expertly prepared seafood dishes.
First time visiting this charming bistro/tapas bar while staying in St. Germain area of Paris! it was Christmas week, so the restaurant as well as the neighborhood were very festively decorated! We had just arrived in the city so wanted to start off with light tapas and some wine! This place was the perfect spot for a light meal before moving to other spots! We tried some standard French red wine along with delicious onion soup and some amazing scallops! It's definitely a 5 out of 5 for food, ambiance, and the vibe! We will certainly return on the next trip

Small portions with great tastes. I was surprised the shrimp ravioli turns out to be har gao in Dimsum lol. Waiter was a chill dude and impatient in a funny way. They give you sour dough bread with a huge slob of butter. Tapas were pretty tasty but fish had bones and razor clams had shards of clams. Atmosphere was fine, nothing bad but nothing amazing either. Would recommend if you're not super hungry but want small bites and a place chill to hang out.

We felt like true locals at this spot! Everyone was standing with their glasses of wine while the gentleman shucked oysters right in front of us. I am so happy we made it over and thoroughly enjoyed!
Victoria C — Google review
Visited due to watching an old Anthony Bourdain episode where he comes here twice due to how good it makes him feel and how good the atmosphere is. The bar is a tight intimate space that allows you to get to know staff and other customers alike and really allows you to make friends and mingle. The staff is positive and full of energy with each and every customer, providing excellent bar service and also managing kitchen orders. The food really matches the vibe of the place as it fits in with the bar/tapas scene and doesn’t try to outshine the beverages but rather compliments it with precision. An amazing place to come to at the end of your Paris trip or at the start to enjoy the beautiful city.

Oysters were some of the freshest I’ve had and were a decent medium to large size. The larger ones coming from Normandy. Service was slow despite it being half occupied but we did not mine as it is was only 1 person managing the drinks and raw bar. We would happily come again on future trips. There are also many other items not on the menu that may be worth trying. A good wine selection at various price points.
Sapphire E — Google review
We have been going here for years and eat here on every trip to Paris! It’s a tradition! The food is fantastic, the people are extremely nice and friendly and such a simple nice place. Both the food and selection of wines are outstanding!
Kunal B — Google review
Fantastic little place. Great food nibble and great wine. Bar staff were exceptionally helpful in selecting wines and giving options. Had some of my favourite wine ever there and the prices were very reasonable. Spent around 4 hours here but could have easily stayed longer. The oyster bar next door was also grear. Delicious oysters, however 22 euro for 6 is a little on the high side

Come for the vibes! It’s tiny so it always feels crowded, but it is a good time. Would be worth coming just for drinks, but the food is solid too.

Café Pouchkine is a delightful blend of Russian tradition and Parisian charm, with two locations in the city. The one at 16 Place de la Madeleine boasts stunning interiors that exude an 18th-century ambiance mixed with modern touches. This multi-level establishment offers a patisserie, bar, restaurant, and tea salon spread across 600 square meters.
Amazing food and beautiful atmosphere. We had to wait in a queue for almost 30min but well worth the wait. The Afternoon Tea set menu was fulfilling with good selection of sweet and savory dishes. The desserts were simply delicious and like artwork.

Loved this place. The prices are steep. Each piece ranging from 3.5€ to 7€. We bought four pastries and three savory vegetable pastry and the bill ran to about 42€ - pretty pricey. The pieces are exquisite to look at so the artistry in making these must be of very high caliber. We brought home these pieces of heaven and they were all phenomenal. The balance of sweetness, tartness, etc was just perfect. There is absolutely no doubt you will enjoy it. Just be prepared to shell out big bucks! If this review helped, please click the like button.

We had a late night dessert, and didnt have to queue. Yes reading the comments some of the waitresses were busy talking to each other than serving us. i ordered matriochka and it was lovely; my other friend ordered the lemon tart ( pricey at 9.50) and another chocolate dessert ( cant remember the name). We also ordered pouchkine special tea which was nice. For a sit down cafe, the price is ok, if you compared to Pierre herme’s cafe, for almost every dessert was 20 € each. Maybe it was at night and not crowded, we definitely enjoyed our time there.

Russians have always had a strong francophile vibe. They love the style, the art de vivre and the eclectic decors. The first café Pouchkine to open in Paris has become an emblematic institution exactly for those reasons, the mix of cultures, the eclecticism and just the overall extravagance. The menu is quite is vast and various. Joining the very Parisian sweets and pastries is some very Russian traditional dish like choices of Piroshkis, Taramas and blinis. All with strong extravagant flavours. An experience at café Pouchkine is overwhelming but in a good way, the type of too-much that is just enough to stand out. The place is very popular with all type of people, from locals to tourists, young and old, fancy or not, it is always full. It's a gastronomic trip, or even a gastronomic leisure that is as pleasant as the bright sun shining through the big half oval shaped windows on the second floor.

A very fancy Russian café decorated in 18th century walls and furniture. Very good desserts as well. Loved the macarons and the mango matriochka!

Store is located in the department store "Printemps" with fine selection of pastries. Delicious macarons ever..It's a little pricely here but it's worth...The stools/chairs are not very comfortable to sit for long hours, just a coffee break is ok...

Cool spot. We arrived right at it’s opening. Very unique desserts. The breakfast was okay. Service was okay for the tourist nature of the spot.

Quality holds up to it's name. It is pricey but, we have been there a couple of times already and anything we order is sublime, definitely worth it if you are looking to try one of the gourmet pastry shops in Paris. The Mille-Feuille, Medovik, and Café Liégeois are fantastic. Espresso is great too:)

Restaurant
Bistrot Paul Bert is a classic Parisian eatery that gained international fame after being featured on Anthony Bourdain's 'No Reservations.' The restaurant, run by chef Bertrand Auboyneau, offers a cozy and relaxed atmosphere with its exposed brick walls and poster art. The menu focuses on traditional beef dishes and seafood made from fresh seasonal ingredients.
Loved Paul Bert. We had a couple of the specials for starters, the carpaccio and the cervelle de canut, a white cheese topped with herbs and oil. Both were light and tasty. We also got the soft eggs and morels which I could easily have eaten 5 more portions of. We both got the steak (bavette cut) with frites in a sarawak pepper sauce, which lived up to the hype. We finished with seasonal strawberries in a raw cream, also amazing. We had a hard time getting a reservation but we eventually were able to reach someone over the phone. It has been mentioned ad nauseum everywhere to call 1hr before or after to reach a person, and that's what we did but it took us a lot of calls, over many days to get through. When we got someone, about a week out, they took down our info but when we showed up, there was no record of us. They were able to seat us without issue. I think if you show up right at opening, it should not be a problem getting a table. Other than the tough reservation, we loved everything and it's most certainly worth a visit in spite of the tourist hype.
AC S — Google review
Had a lovely lunch at Bistrot Paul Bert. The food was really good — classic French dishes done right, full of flavor and nicely presented. The service was a bit on the slow and slightly chaotic side, but the staff were friendly and welcoming, which helped keep the mood light. Prices are a bit high for what it is, but overall, the quality of the food and the authentic bistro atmosphere made it worth it. A great spot if you're looking for a traditional Parisian dining experience.
Emiliano L — Google review
I took my husband here for his birthday and he said it was the best birthday dinner he ever had. I was curious to see if it lived up to the hype and it actually did. Everything was fantastic, from the food to the service. We both had the steak and fries and it was an easy 10/10. For dessert we ordered the souffle and it was very unique but good as well, very light. Also important to note - we called at midday and got a reservation for that same night. When we arrived there were several persons who came as walk ins and they all got though and fairly quickly as well.
Shannon F — Google review
We came for one thing, steak au poivre. That's it. We'd heard it was maybe the best in Paris. It was, just fantastic. There is an old school ambiance to the place as well and the staff were friendly and attentive. I can't speak to the other items on the menu, but I regret not coming sooner for the steak. It was that good. The place is small, make a reservation if you can.
Christopher M — Google review
Exceptional meal, highly recommended and can’t wait to go back. Could drink the steak pepper sauce alone! Please let me know when your cook book becomes available in English! I’ll be the first to buy it. Thank you!
Rebecca H — Google review
Beautiful little bistrot. We went for the fillet au sauce de poivre, the sauce was spectacular but we would have liked the fillet to be more tender. The tartar was spectacular with mustard and chopped onion The souffle with the grand marnier was tasty. The service was super friendly and the interior felt cozy and authentic.
Ιrida Α — Google review
I was expecting a amazing experience, the beef with pepper was but the rest was average. Getting a table at bistro Paul Bert is challenging and expectations was very high indeed. We started by the girolles and egg, it was nice but the one at the grand cafe at the grand palais is much nicer. Then we had the rabbit and confit tomatoes which was not amazing just nice. 👍 for the bread, pity that salted butter is not served with it. The 2 cheese gougères were nice but overcooked to my taste therefore quite dry. Then we had the star of the show the beef with pepper sauce and yes the sauce is incredible, absolutely delicious. The beef portion is not generous and the chips portion is not big either for 2. The whole main course is really yummy, very well balanced and executed. Then came the desserts and they were both disappointing. The soufflé tasted undercooked, I could not taste the grand marnier. It was a poor experience. We also had the îles flottantes : too sugary the egg whites were too dense, too packed and the crème pâtissière had far too much sugar. Although the starters and the main were served within 25 min of our arrival, we waited far too long to get our desserts ( please note that we ordered the soufflé with our main meal as we are aware that time is needed) and then we waited over 30 minutes and had to asked twice the invoice and decided to go and pay at the till as our waiter was not coming to our table. Overall, go to bistro Paul Bert to enjoy the beef with pepper sauce which is spectacular but skip starters and desserts, they are not worth your time or your money. Please note that we just had a meal at the grand cafe at the grand palais today and for the same price, the overall meal just can’t be compared (every dish was so tasty).
Myriam W — Google review
I simply cannot speak of this Bistrot highly enough. It is now a tradition for us to head to Paul Bert for our first dinner out every time we arrive in Paris. The seasonal menu, the home cooking style food, the impeccable service, and the classic Parisian Bistrot atmosphere all come together here in perfect harmony. And you can’t pick a wrong item from the menu here, absolutely everything is delicious but, if you are not sure, just order the steak au poivre and prepare yourself for food heaven …

Nestled in the charming Le Marais district of Paris, Café Berry is a delightful haven for coffee enthusiasts and food lovers alike. Founded by Shirley Lamy after her inspiring trip to New York in 2014, this cozy café has been serving up seasonal dishes since 2017. With a menu that features everything from wholesome breakfast options like almond butter toast with banana and granola to savory delights such as homemade focaccia topped with roasted zucchini and mozzarella cream, there's something for everyone.
I first came here with my sister, and then I brought my mother the very next day! We really liked the place — the coffee is great, especially the cappuccino and flat white (coming from Italians, that means something!). We tried the avocado toast, soft-boiled eggs, Turkish eggs, and the house granola. Everything was delicious. We truly recommend this place

One of the best brunches I had in Paris. Definitely a very busy spot, so I suggest you either come ready for queueing, or book in advance (if possible). Anyways, the food was absolutely delicious, they even offered gluten-free options and the staff is very attentive. A solid 10/10, can’t wait to try more of their dishes.

I’m giving this five stars, but I do need to note it is absolutely hot as Hades in here. They only have one fan and it’s not even circulating the air. But everything was 10 out of 10 service was quick employees were beyond kind and friendly. And the food was simply delicious. The menu was simple, but each plate was executed to perfection aesthetically and tasted amazing. My friend and I split the scrambled eggs with a side of spinach, pickled onions, bread, and butter. It was very good. We also split the seasonal granola with fruit. The yogurt was so cold. It was very refreshing to eat, especially since it was so hot in the restaurant. We also got a fresh squeeze orange juice and it was yummy. The only thing is, I wish they had one more fan in there. You could tell everybody was dying of heat.

I thoroughly enjoyed the cappuccino; it was wonderfully crafted. The soft boiled eggs, however, had a touch too much paprika, which slightly overpowered their delicate flavor. On a brighter note, the staff were genuinely friendly and sweet, adding to the overall warm experience.

Café Berry has quickly become my favourite little spot in Paris – I’ve been coming back on every trip for the past couple of years. The coffee, pastries, brunch, and matcha are all top notch – everything is done with such care and style. It’s the perfect place to sit quietly under the sun, tucked away from the buzz. We’ve bought some chocolates there. The selling guy was not particularly friendly and we didn’t see that the chocolate was already expired in April 2023. See photos, we bought it in December 2023. A type of insect and its eggs were sitting on a raspberry. It's shameful. I don't even dare to dissect the rest because I don't want to know what I swallowed (Original) Fuyez cette boutique !

(Translated by Google) Decent neighborhood bakery, quite disappointed when the seller told us that he didn't take the card for less than 5 euros. Nowadays, it's increasingly rare to have cash on you, which is a shame. Otherwise, the baguette was good.

(Translated by Google) A friend brought us raspberry tartlets for dessert at dinner. Bought the same evening, having only undergone a short metro journey, midges escaped from the box when opened. Suspicious, we cut the tartlets to find moldy raspberries (photos attached)... we will not fail to report this establishment to the DDPP to trigger a health check. We don't often leave negative comments, but when people take us for hams and almost poison us, there are limits.

(Translated by Google) *Dangerous establishment* Three raspberry tartlets bought the same evening: when you open the box, gnats escape. After an inspection, we found mold in the raspberries of the three tartlets (see attached photos)… The cold chain was also clearly not respected in store. To avoid and above all to report to the health authorities.
