Nestled in the picturesque Speyside, Blue Waters Inn is a relaxed lodging option that offers a casual restaurant and bar, along with a beachfront infinity pool and hot tub. The hotel's prime location provides easy access to nearby attractions such as Speyside Bay, Little Tobago, Tobago Main Ridge Forest Reserve, and Batteaux Bay. Guests can indulge in Fusion cuisine at Aqua, the beachfront restaurant with a bar/lounge. The 3.
Upon arrival on a windy cloudy day after an early & rough ferry ride, the beach & sea was covered with mountains of weed, we felt a little disappointed. however, this was cleaned up, the sun came out & we enjoyed a lovely stay at Bluewater’s. The owner was helpful & adviced & assisted us to go to pretty Pirates bay 15 minutes drive away. The staff have been great & the food was delicious. All in all I can recommend this peaceful paradise.

This was the most comfortable and satisfyingly, great place to stay. Food, rooms, location, hospitality was very good. Peaceful, tranquil and absolutely beautiful. Some upgrade work needed on environment and there could be more variety in meal options but it was overall really good. Thank you BWI!

My experience was 10/10 🌟. The scenery felt like living in a postcard . The pool - amazing . Drinks 10/10 . Chef - 🤩 sooooo gifted . Food was excellent . Rooms - so clean and smelt good . Overall fantastic experience - truly relaxing space - I will be back again

Excellent beach-side rooms, wonderful to be steps away from the beach, with opportunity to snorkel on coral reef and see many fish. Small kitchen so sometimes you have to be patient but the food is excellent. Lovely to be lulled to sleep by the sound of waves on the beach....

Blue Waters Inn is more than just a hotel—it’s an experience like no other. With waves crashing against the shore and a mesmerizing blend of blue-green waters stretching into the horizon, this place feels like a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered. But beyond the stunning scenery, what truly sets Blue Waters Inn apart is its exceptional service. The warmth and dedication of the staff, especially Ms. Hacket, make you feel not just welcomed but cherished. Her passion for both the hotel and its guests transforms a simple stay into an unforgettable escape. Thank you, Ms. Hacket, and thank you, Blue Waters Inn, for being a true gem in the Caribbean. If you’re looking for tranquility, beauty, and service that comes from the heart, this is where you need to be.

This is probably one of the worst vacation experiences that I’ve never had in terms of stay. When we arrived, we had already prepaid and booked for a two bedroom. We were told that we would likely need to pay for the extra people because there were nine people staying in the two bedrooms for adults and five children. We sorted that out with no issues no problems. We left enjoyed ourselves on a boat and then came back We were told that on top of pain for the extra people we also needed to add another another room which would cost about $400 for the stay. There was no concessions, no explanations everything was this is what it is however to find out the policy that they were holding this entire time was actually inaccurate once the manager came to speak to us on checkout I was given a receipt which show that I paid less than what I paid for through the third-party when I asked where the money went, she said this is all collected from you and you would still need to pay an additional $45. Jeanette was probably one of the worst employees that I dealt and there was no budging no nothing and the general manager was not even much better. I would suggest that you stay somewhere in Scarborough if you are interested in staying in into Seaside is very far, but Very far it’s also lacking in customer service. If I could give it negative stars, I would simply for the service that was given.

Nestled on a former plantation overlooking the Caribbean Sea, Mount Irvine Bay Resort is a charming hideaway spread across 154 acres. The property features modern amenities following recent renovations and offers access to its own picturesque beach and an 18-hole championship golf course. Guests can indulge in spa treatments, enjoy a round of golf, or bask in the sun at the private beach. With its romantic ambiance, it's also an ideal destination for intimate weddings or romantic getaways.
We stayed just for the day using the Jacaranda day option as our hotel property didn’t have a pool. Great pool and bartender, very clean, with a proper deep end. Beach was excellent. Unlimited drinks and great service. Food was very good. Kid friendly. Gluten free options no problem.

We had a lovely stay here. Resort was not very full so almost like a private pool and an uncrowded beach. Food is okay…nice that breakfast was included. Had an issue with our room and they fixed it quickly. Good location for surfing and snorkeling.

Hands down the best resort ever! Just spent 8 glorious days for a wedding and every detail was sheer perfection. The Staff, food, venue, and overall experience met every expectation. Huge thanks to Marcel for his non stop attention to every detail!!
Lynn H — Google review
We recently attended a wedding here and it was incredible! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Marcel creates such a welcoming environment, he makes you feel like Mt. Irvine is your home. The breakfast buffet was delicious (kudos to the terrific omelette chef!) The activities that were planned (glass bottom boat tour, the welcome party and the beach wedding) were all next level! There were so many personal touches that made this an epic, once in a lifetime experience. If I were planning a wedding- I would replicate every single detail because Mt. Irvine Bay Resort went so far above and beyond! Thank you for everything, we will never forget your gracious hospitality!
Julia M — Google review
The motto for this resort is "Welcome Home" and it lives up to it wonderfully. The food is INSANELY delicious and the staff are really friendly. Could really do with an on site ATM but that is just one quibble.
Dee D — Google review
This place doesn’t even deserve a star, but I’m leaving one purely because the view from the room distracted me, briefly, from the disaster that is this hotel. We paid for early check-in and were told breakfast would be included on our first day. What we got instead was a polite suggestion to “head out and find breakfast somewhere else.” Imagine arriving early, tired and hungry, only to be told to go forage like a vagrant. When we brought this up, we were met with the customer service equivalent of a brick wall, cold, useless, and vaguely annoyed that we even existed. Enter the “Operations Manager,” a title that implies leadership and competence, but in this case, feels more honorary than earned. We were spoken to with condescension and dismissed like we were inconveniencing them. Apparently, their version of hospitality involves making guests feel like they should apologize for booking a stay. The rooms were decent, I’ll give them that, but the hallways at night? Pitch black. I’ve seen haunted houses with better lighting and more energy. Walking to the stairs felt like entering a scene from a low-budget horror film. Now, about the beach: the pictures online would have you believe the ocean gently kisses the hotel steps. Reality? You’ll be walking 7 minutes just to see water, unless you count the tears of disappointed guests. I’m from Florida. I know a beachfront when I see one. This was false advertising with a suntan. Mt. Irvine, do yourself a favor: retrain your staff, replace your “manager,” and stop making promises you clearly can’t keep. Guests shouldn’t have to fight for basic service or dignity. We came for an escape, not an exercise in lowered expectations.
Alex G — Google review
The resort is actually really nice and has so much more potential. They could do better with upkeeping all around for this resort. Im rating my experience 2 star due to the fact it just didnt seem very welcoming. Almost felt like we were the only guests there when staying . I was told due to it having a low occupancy at the time we were there vs the weekends was different. Well if thats the case then you need to charge rates based off occupancy because we didn't get breakfast or dinner until the very end of our stay based off we booked for an entire week. Seems very misleading and not enough insight when speaking to staff. The rooms were nice but housekeeping needs to do better with cleanliness. I do recommend better mattress because it felt like we were sleeping on a box spring that goes under a actual mattress👎🏿. And that sheet is terrible to sleep with including a foam sheet with . I'd advise bringing a light blanket if u plan to sleep here . The close by beach was awesome tho and the pool looked very clean and maintained . But the vibes for the staff wasn't it at all and me going on a vacation spending alot of money to stay here just wasn't worth the hype. Also please do somthing with the golf course that looks like it could be a hit for the resort and welcome more occupancy so the hotel could thrive. Alot of people play golf and are always looking for a get away hobby included . Too much potential and good spot just to go to waste .

Kapok Hotel, originally a family restaurant in 1964, has now expanded into a 94-room hotel. Situated near the Queens Park Savannah and various Trinidadian attractions, it offers rooms starting at $160. The hotel exudes an authentic Caribbean atmosphere and is conveniently located for travelers to Port of Spain. With modern-style rooms and suites, an outdoor pool, two excellent restaurants, and self-service laundry facilities, it provides a comfortable stay.
What a good experience, from the moment in entered, greeted by Kareem. Staff. Amenities, food. Breakfast, yum. Loved the variety . Clean, convenient. Thank you to all the staff, Kareem and Jernece , names that we remembered. Many others to mentioned but could not remember. Cheers. We will certainly advertise your place as a hotel to visit when vacationing. Thank you for the wonderful time.

My hubby and I made a last-minute booking at Kapok Hotel and was extremely impressed! The staff were very accommodating and professional from start to finish. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-kept. Overall, the service exceeded our expectations — excellent experience and highly recommended! We also highly recommend dining at KAVA Restaurant — the food, ambiance, and service were outstanding!

Stayed for the first time for my birthday 🎂. Nothing begative yo say. Buffet breakfast was nice. Coffee was good. Big up to Alison for serving us. She recognized that our 3 year old daughter was a bit fussy and made her feel comfortable.

Overall:3.6-we had a separate full kitchen and room. The aging hotel needs updating & maintenance but felt safe. Check-in:3-friendly and efficient Room & living area:3.2 -felt clean & but missing certain basics, had only 2 towels for showers & nothing in the kitchen.Should have tea towel/paper towels/napkins available.Complementary tea and coffee area doesn’t get refilled after day 1.Hot water for showers are inconsistent meaning sometimes no hot water at all. Other than a/c there is no humidifier for proper air circulation. Also you hear a lot of road noise and loud sounds throughout the night. Kitchen has basic necessities but should replace the frying pan since it’s been scratched up really bad from use.Since there’s a full kitchen the hotel should offer grocery delivery service. It was nice that the rooms were not carpeted. Facility:3-wifi is very weak (non existent)had to use alternative to work. Even though the hotel is close to certain things, you need a car in TT, driving is crazy. There should be a shuttle that takes guest to close by shopping/supermarket. Gym is not 24 hrs & it’s small. Can’t really accommodate more than 2 people at a time. There’s no entertainment on-site would be good to bring in local businesses during the day to show case local goods. Exterior windows should be cleaned & pot holes in parking areas should be maintained Food: 3.5 -good local food and coffee when available.mostly eggs and typical western breakfast. Customs service: 4-really friendly people regardless where you go restaurant service especially.

KAPOK HOTEL- Trinidad’s hidden gem. From top to bottom, service is par excellence, service staff, maintenance staff, reception staff, such absolute perfection, courteous, friendly, efficient, and me thinking on the first day of my stay that this fantastic customer service was a fluke, but NO, it lasted the full 2 weeks. The wait staff at the Tiki restaurant where we had breakfast needs a mention also, very friendly I would highly recommend this pearl hidden in the hills of Maraval

This is, by far, on of the best properties I have stayed at. I was at this property for 2+ weeks and had a VIP experience throughout my entire stay. The staff and property are top notch. Very SPECIAL shout out to Z at the omelet bar, Kearia at the hotel lobby bar, Aliyah our host as well as the front desk and management team! Highly recommend you book your next stay here!

Hotel is modern and on the water. The rooms are clean and also modern. Unfortunately me and one of my other crew members got woken up by house keeping at 6:20am after a late night arrival by the evening before, even though we had do not disturb hung on our doors. I engaged with management and they just said sorry and didn't seem to care. Would not recommend this hotel.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout my visit. Its waterfront location offers a relaxing setting with beautiful views. The food was very good, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easy to unwind. Overall, this hotel provides a wonderful balance of comfort, service, and atmosphere, and I look forward to returning.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt for 5 days with some friends and we can’t say enough good things about this hotel. This was some of the best service I have ever experienced in all of my travels. The front desk, restaurant, doormen, cleaning and support staff were all professional, courteous and amazing. The hotel was very clean and housekeeping did a wonderful job with keeping our room clean daily. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking to visit Trinidad. The food was amazing, I can’t get over the breakfast buffet. There was an array of authentic Trinidadian cuisine. The dinner was so darn good and yes, the soursop ice cream, 10/10. I can’t wait to visit again.

Welcome to paradise!! My stay at Park Hyatt was exceptional. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and has top tier customer service. There is a wide range of cuisines to choose from. Be sure to ask for a room facing the ocean. Lovely view. When I come back to Trinidad I will staying here for sure!!

Windows foggy blocked all view. Ordered a room with ocean view. When I checked out asked for an invoice to be emailed and had to waste 1 hour with their customer service trying to get this rather simple document. They dropped chat, could fix things by phone call. Just really bad experience. I’d expect a 2 star hotel being this bad. Not Hyatt. Stay clear of this specific hotel if you can.
Daniel B — Google review
I have not got a bad thing to say about the Hyatt Trinidad - mostly because of the amazing staff at the hotel. Every single person we have encountered has been so warm to our family, genuinely interested in our happiness and helpful in every possible way. We have our baby with us and everyone has been so kind to us, which has put us totally at ease, particularly after a long journey. Thank you to everyone.

I had the pleasure of spending 12 wonderful nights at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad and I must say—this hotel exceeded my expectations! 😍🏨 From the moment I arrived, the modern décor and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a comfortable stay. I stayed in a King Size room—absolutely lovely! 🛏️✨ The room was spotlessly clean and tidy every single day 🧼🧹—a big thumbs up to the housekeeping team! 👍👏 Breakfast was included with my booking and it was a real treat each morning 🥐🍳🍉—plenty of variety and always served with a warm smile 😊. If you're in Port of Spain for business, this location is top-notch 📍💼. Everything I needed was within reach, and I felt well taken care of throughout my stay. All in all, I highly recommend the Hyatt Regency Trinidad for both business and leisure travelers. Great service, great location, great experience! 💯💼🌆🍽️ Will definitely be back! 👏🇹🇹🏝️ #GoogleLocalGuide #HyattExperience #TrinidadStay

Kariwak Village and Holistic Haven is a relaxed hotel in Trinidad & Tobago, known for its unfussy rooms, pool, and free beach shuttle. The hotel's legendary restaurant and staff are as renowned as Robinson Crusoe himself. It boasts an award-winning 2-acre garden with tropical shrubs and flowering trees where holistic activities like yoga, Tai Chi, and meditation take place.
I went back in December 2022. I’d like to go back sometime soon and here’s why. Staff:All of the staff and the owner were nothing but amazing and lovely. They always did above and beyond especially for the Christmas celebrations. Hotel room:The room itself was so unique and cool! And every single day it was cleaned to perfection. Food:The food they’ve provided us with especially for breakfast was always made fresh to order and was so delicious. Airport: The airport is walking distance from the hotel. No car needed to get there! Area: For restaurants, shops and the beach, all were walking distance as well from the hotel. I’d like to give a shout out to the staff again. They really made the trip to to Tobago the best and unforgettable experience.

Whenever I come to Tobago, I make it a point to come to Kariwak at least for breakfast. The home made yogurt and fried fish with toast are my favorites and their cocoa tea is simply the BEST. Also, if you’re looking to have a solo retreat in nature but want to be steps away from the action in Crown Point, I highly recommend their garden rooms, which are quiet and put you in direct contact with the plants. The free yoga offering is a nice touch and the staff are all really lovely humans. It’s a 5 - 10 minute walk from the airport and about a 15 minute walk to all the restaurants in Crown Point so there’s no real need to rent a car unless you want to explore further afield.

We visited this charming little spot twice, first for early evening drinks, which were excellent. We returned the next day for breakfast, which was just okay, with the portions on the smaller side, though the service was good. All in all, we’d definitely return for drinks and would be open to trying lunch or dinner. The space is beautiful, so we’re also curious to see what the rooms are like, it may make for an interesting stay. They take cards and cash.

A beautiful Oasis in the midst of a commercial tourist hub. Rooms have a great balance of rustic and more standard hotel room fittings. The grounds are beautiful and give an island comfort. The restaurant has great ambience, the dinner menu wasn't intimidating but quite encouraging. The Fish meal we had was quite delicious, simple but well put together ingredients. The Iced Tea is a must try! The slice of Spice Cake was also very pleasant. My only complaint was that the meal was too expensive especially considering portion sizes. Feeling like I was being made to pay for the ambience and brand of the establishment.

Thee best costumer service , I arrived early at 1030am, check in was at 2pm and they had the room ready for me at 1055am . Really good complimentary breakfast , beautiful real wood huts , good wi fi and free yoga in the morning and free shuttles . 3rd time here and I will be back . Recommend to all thank you Kariwak.

We were very disappointed by our experience. We had first booked a trip on Expedia in April but had to postpone as I got sick. We were able to get all other bookings rescheduled free of cost but this wasn't possible at Kariwak as it was through Expedia. We contacted them to see if we could get a discounted rebooking directly. They offered a very small discount for our trip in May. We ended up booking the stay. When we arrived we were disappointed that they weren't even able to give us the Garden room which we had first booked for in April. When your hotel is mostly empty, it would have been a good gesture to offer the better room for guests who had paid twice. Not necessary but a good gesture. The hospitality at the hotel seemed very fake and not welcoming. Like nobody actually wanted to work there. Our experience only got worse after. While the room and surroundings were beautiful, places where they cost cut were very visible to see. 1. They don't have shampoo offered in the rooms. When we asked for it, they only said that they never give shampoo. In a beach town, you need shampoo, especially when you have a pool in the hotel. 2. What's even worse is that they only give you free water bottles when you check in. Not for any other day you've booked. I've never seen that practice anywhere else. 3. Their "free" breakfast was sooo bad. The crispy tuna was bland and then there's toast and some yoghurt+granola. No variety, no self-serve option. For the amount you pay, it's not worth it. 4. They don't have free coffee sachets in the rooms. And the last thing that really annoyed us was that they have this ledge above the bed that stops you from sitting up in bed. We whacked our heads on it multiple times when we were going to lie down. It's a health hazard. Overall, it's just better to book a stay in an apartment nearby than spend to stay here.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Kariwak. The location is quite convenient to the Airport, the beach and other restaurants and businesses. Kariwak also offers shuttle service to the beach. Kariwak is very beautiful both in the rooms and outside. The AC was very powerful, rooms were clean and no complaints with the water pressure. Outside was very relaxing, beautiful for taking pictures or relaxing by the pool or jacuzzi. They also have yoga and massages. The customer service was excellent. From Ingrid who picked up my family and I at the Airport. Josh our handsome bartender who was quite accommodating for breakfast and lunch. A very special hats off to Joel the all rounder who made our stay even more memorable accommodating my niece on her special day, organizing the staff to sing Happy Birthday for her 😁. Thank you Kariwak, we'll definitely be back.
Lynda-ann B — Google review
My stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms were spacious and beautiful, the compound was clean and well-kept. I don’t necessarily have an issue with the hotel not providing free teas and coffees in bedrooms because their prices are affordable and you can avail yourself to such items at the hotel restaurant for free. There is an area to relax in the garden with hammocks with the jacuzzi/pool nearby. The breakfast was decent, it included fish, eggs, toast, fruit, yoghurt and granola. The only criticism I have is that the hotel staff DO NOT answer the telephone/landline. Despite this, the staff members that I encountered and met were super helpful, kind, welcoming and warm. They extended themselves to assist and accommodate us as best as they could. I would definitely return again.

Perched on a hillside overlooking the Caribbean village of Castara, Castara Retreats offers 17 eco lodges designed to seamlessly blend with the lush rainforest backdrop and capture stunning views of the ocean. These treehouse-style accommodations are equipped with full kitchens for self-catering, while an on-site restaurant, Caribbean Kitchen, provides inventive and wholesome dining options. Embracing a sustainable ethos, the retreat encourages guests to immerse themselves in the natural surroundings and local village life.
This is a marvellous place to stay. The views over the bay are superb, the apartments are great - comfortable and well equipped - and the staff are really kind and helpful. The restaurant is also very good and adds some extra flair to the local cuisine. Castara offers a lot for a small fishing village - great beach, a selection of restaurants and bars, several well stocked local shops and extremely helpful and friendly locals. Plenty of fresh fish as well though you have to be prepared to wait until it comes ashore. And the local cash dispenser was always stocked and working. So overall, a great place to stay.

Castara Retreat was everything I was hoping for when I researched where to visit and stay on Tobago. The hotel is just so unique, with the rooms/villas scattered just above beautiful Castara Bay, with fabulous views of the beach and the village. Super clean and well maintained, with nice grounds and tall shade trees. This is not a place for those who can't or won't climb stairs and inclines, because the buildings are all woven up the hillside, which of course is part of why it is so beautiful. The walk down to the beach, while a bit steep was only a few minutes. The restaurant was excellent, and the wellness center was great. My wife had a massage from Leah, who also took us snorkeling in the bay. Both experiences were top notch! Akido, our driver from the airport was super, and on another day we went on a short tour of the North side with him. He also introduced us to Doubles, the quintessential Trinidad street food- one of the best things I've ever eaten! Every single person we interacted with at the hotel were kind, friendly and helpful. Even though we were there in the slow season there was plenty to do in the village. I could go on, but I think I've conveyed how happy we were with our visit, and I fully and completely recommend Castara Retreat!

Castara village is a little paradise - crystal-clear bay, abundant wildlife, and the friendliest locals. But Castara Retreat takes it to another level, with the best eco-lodge and unbeatable panoramic views. The food at Caribbean Kitchen with Kadeem blew us away: fresh local ingredients, cooked with skill that I, as a French foodie I had to admire. Every bite was a delight. Our only regret was not staying longer. We’ll definitely be back!

Hideaway was just stunning. Rising in the mornings to birdsong and the rolling waves was medicine for our souls. The peace is unparalleled and just a beautiful place to bond and connect. Evening coffee overlooking mountains and morning tea with the backdrop of amazing topography and the Caribbean Sea cannot be met. One recommendation is sturdier and bigger beds especially since the space is catered towards romantic getaways. The romance package was worth it. Our massages and dinner at Caribbean Kitchen was just so spectacular. The views, vibes and vibrancy stellar.

We had a wonderful week at Castara Retreats. Loved the yoga in the morning, the unspoilt beaches and the sound of the sea from our room. We have been to many Caribbean islands but we have always been disappointed by the food. The food in Castara is wonderful, fresh, vibrant and tasty . If you like American style food and flashy bathrooms you won’t like it. Thoroughly recommend.

We absolutely loved staying at Castara, it was exactly what we were looking for in Tobago! It is an eco/rustic luxury retreat, with amazing views, right in the middle of nature, and great food. Would highly recommend.

This was our second time staying here (my wife and I). The first time we stayed at Beachscape, and the second time at Coasthanger. Both were amazing in their own way. The views of Castara Bay, the peace and quiet, and the AMAZING FOOD! Best food we have ever eaten - breakfast, lunch and dinner. The outdoor shower at Coasthanger was the most peaceful feature that made the trip so much more relaxing. We did a romance package which included relaxing massages at the breezy Wellness Centre. Customer service was great as expected for the entire stay. We love Castara and Castara Retreats. Will definitely return many times in future.

Extremely disappointed with Castara Retreats. Advertised as a “luxury” eco retreat - it’s far from it. Rooms were dated and the bathroom was akin to a prison bathroom. Outdoor kitchen was dirty and all utensils had to be rewatched and sterilised before use. Checked out early. Would not recommend.

HADCO Experiences at Asa Wright Nature Centre offers a unique opportunity to explore a protected rainforest area that is dedicated to scientific research and ecotourism. The center, located in the Northern Range of Trinidad, is renowned for its diverse birdlife, making it a prime destination for birdwatchers. The journey to the center involves navigating through winding and rugged roads surrounded by lush greenery and abundant plant life.
The Nature Centre was beautifully renovated with modern amenities, while maintaining the original aesthetic. The staff was friendly and welcoming the food was excellent! The guides were very knowledgable. The natural spring water pools were lovely and refreshing. The roads to get there are a bit challenging to navigate but worth the trip! Altogether a wonderful getaway.

We had 2 nights at Asa Wright and what a wonderful experience. We had been 10+ years ago and decided it was time for a revisit. The renovations and additions are amazing, so well done and very tasteful. From the arrival greeting, induction to the property, attention to detail, service of all the staff and the food, we had an exceptional time. Our bird guides were extremely knowledgeable and during our time there we had the joy of recording the sighting of 41 individual species of birds along with beautiful flowers throughout the forest and other creatures seen along the way. Our biggest unexpected birding treat was seeing 5 Toucans!! We will definitely be returning later this year as this place was so good for the soul.

The new buildings are beautiful and well maintained. The staff were wonderful - friendly and helpful. The bird viewing area allowed us to see tons of hummingbirds and other birds. The walking trails were very pretty. The food was fantastic as was the cocoa tea. The little gift shop had some lovely items.

Great experience! Knowledgeable guides! Clean looking surroundings. Good food and drink! Hospitable staff. Well worth the cost! I would say international standard. For those who can appreciate beauty and silence except the sound of nature. Lovely rivers. Clear water pool to bathe! A functioning toilet along the trail. Would you believe that! Most of all, wide variety of hummingbirds and toucans etc.

An Unforgettable Stay at Asa Wright Nature Centre with Hadco Experiences Our stay at the Asa Wright Nature Centre, hosted by Hadco Experiences, was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by beauty—lush greenery, the songs of countless bird species, and the warmth of some of the kindest, most welcoming staff I’ve ever encountered. Pam and Natasha in the restaurant set the tone for excellence in service and hospitality. Every meal was over-abundant, perfectly prepared, and bursting with flavor. The goat dish was unforgettable, the fish consistently fantastic, and the homemade pepper sauce was exactly the spicy delight my husband craves. Special shoutout to the mocha cheesecake and Belgian chocolate ice cream—truly indulgent and not to be missed! Our birding experience was elevated by the outstanding guides: Rondel, Caleb, Guiselle, Annandra, and Mukesh. Their passion, knowledge, and patience made every outing memorable, and they were always available on the porch for questions or spontaneous sightings. Speaking of which, a heartfelt thank-you to Richard from security—he literally tracked us down to help us spot a Trogon. That level of care is something you don’t forget. And John—he’s the kind of person who feels like an old friend within minutes. Warm, friendly, endlessly helpful—saying goodbye to him was tough. Finbar, the bartender, kept the atmosphere light and joyful with his easygoing nature and generous spirit. Honestly, he felt like part of the family. And Warren, the general manager, clearly leads by example. The staff culture is one of warmth, enthusiasm, and genuine care. Every single person went out of their way to make us feel at home. The Barred Antshrike Room (#7) was perfectly situated near the main building with minimal steps (note: a little uneven, so just watch your footing). The room was clean and comfortable, with top-notch linens, including large, cozy bath sheets. A few small suggestions: labeling the light switches and adding a shelf in the shower would add convenience, but these are truly minor “first-world problems.” Also, be aware that the walls are VERY thin. The property itself is beyond words—restored to its former glory, with beautiful West Indian architecture and furnishings. The ambiance is serene and immersive. I cannot stress enough how safe and well-maintained everything felt. The staff's diligence in cleaning and replenishing bird food daily was impressive and appreciated. Hadco Experiences made our trip seamless from beginning to end. They handled all the planning, the dozens of safety questions, the changes, and made everything worry-free. Their professionalism and attention to detail meant I never once had to play “travel agent”—I could just relax and enjoy. A note for future guests: • Avoid holidays like Mother’s Day if you’re focused on birding. On that day, a large crowd of non-birding guests and loud children unfortunately disrupted the peaceful atmosphere. The viewing deck even had people watching sports on their phones—something that truly detracted from the unique magic of this place. Still, these were isolated moments in what was otherwise an exceptional experience. The birding, the food, the people, and the peaceful surroundings far exceeded our expectations. It was truly painful to leave, and we’re already dreaming of our return. My one lingering concern is the future of Asa Wright once Hadco’s lease ends. Their stewardship has been transformative, and I only hope whoever follows maintains the same level of care, vision, and respect for this incredible place. A recommendation would be to develop a downloadable trail map that isn’t governed by a third party app. This and a bird list would be great to have to quickly download directly from the Hadco website. We didn’t just visit a nature centre—we found a home away from home. And we will absolutely be back.

I attended the Yoga retreat at Asa Wright Nature Center today and had an absolutely amazing experience! The staff were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, making the visit even more enjoyable. The facilities are top-notch, providing a serene and comfortable environment to immerse yourself in nature. The yoga and meditation sessions were revitalizing, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and mindfulness amidst the beautiful surroundings. The guided trail was exceptional! The guide had over 30 years experience and his passion is second to none. The food was another highlight—delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. I highly recommend Asa Wright Nature Center for anyone looking to reconnect with nature and find peace. I'll definitely be returning!

I stayed at Blue Haven for 4 days and I would HIGHLY recommend it for a relaxing, rejuvenating stay in tobago. Room: spacious, clean, tub, stunning view Service: exceptional from start to finish. Every single person we encountered was helpful, kind, and thoughtful. the team made our stay very special. Food: Extensive menu with choices for everyone and we didn't take a bite of anything we didn't love. Amenities: 1-6 ft pool was amazing. Beach down the steps. Note: the waters are a little rough this time of year. The view is to die for. 10/10. We are already planning a trip back

My boyfriend and I had an unforgettable stay at the Blue Haven Hotel in Tobago! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking ocean views and the charming, historic atmosphere of the hotel. Our room was spacious, spotless, and had the most incredible balcony overlooking the sea — we loved waking up to the sound of the waves every morning. The pool area was peaceful and felt like our own private oasis, perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun. The staff were absolutely wonderful — warm, attentive, and always happy to help with anything we needed, from local recommendations to arranging transportation. Breakfast each morning was delicious, with plenty of fresh, local options that set us up perfectly for the day. What really made this stay special was the romantic, intimate vibe of the hotel — it was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy quality time together. We truly didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend Blue Haven Hotel to anyone looking for a magical, relaxing escape in Tobago.

At first, when we arrived, everything seemed chill. The view was beautiful and the rooms looked decent enough. But very quickly, things turned spooky and uncomfortable. The owner’s wife walked around with the nastiest attitude for no reason, which instantly killed the vibe and made the entire stay awkward. Breakfast? Their “special” was literally dry toast — like, that’s it. No effort, no flavour, nothing. For what we paid, that was laughable. To make matters worse, the entire place carried a heavy, unsettling energy. My girlfriend had constant nightmares, and on our last night the bathroom actually shocked us — yes, shocked us! We couldn’t get a comfortable night’s sleep the whole time, it felt like the hotel was haunted. The only good thing was the view — truly spectacular — but honestly, this place needs serious prayers and that lady seriously needs to fix her attitude. I would never stay here again.

Nestled in the charming Petrea Place of Point-a-Pierre, Trinidad, Freebird Restaurant is a delightful farm-to-table eatery that has quickly become a must-visit for brunch enthusiasts. Known for its innovative takes on local cuisine, this restaurant offers a dynamic menu that changes with the seasons, ensuring fresh and flavorful dishes crafted from locally sourced ingredients. Whether you're dining in or opting for their convenient delivery service during lockdowns, Freebird caters to your needs with ease.
My experience was great my bf and I celebrated my job promotion there. The food was great, service was excellent and the ambiance was amazing. I will definitely visit again.

This is one of the best dining experiences I have ever had! The staff were all super friendly and professional, the food was absolutely delicious & excellent and the scenery though quaint was very clean. The only thing this place is missing is a trolley to cart you out when you're done eating because you WILL be suffering from macajuel syndrome after you eat it all. Wishing I could give the experience 100 / 10. Will be back in the future for sure!

I had a reservation for two at freebird on 7th September 2025. The service was horrible. Our meals were pre ordered, for an allotted time slot from two days before, only to be sat down on the day and asked what we were having???? We should have taken the hint at that point. The appetizer took 30 minutes to arrive, after which we waited 45mins and then an additional hour for our two main courses. To make matters worse the waiters actively avoided eye contact and did not check in at all in between meals presumably to avoid complaints which also meant we were thirsty as well as hungry ( I ended up calling them in a big way multiple times). To me that is so unacceptable especially for an establishment that boasts of a "fine dining" experience. The wait and service was so off, I believe, it threw off the taste of the food because ain't no way I waited so long for just THAT (stressing, it was not bad just not phenomenal). Perhaps under different circumstances I would have praised the meals. I hope there can be improvements in the future.

This was my first time dining at Freebird, and I had very high expectations. The ambience was wonderful, but the service was quite slow, and the food took a long time to arrive. That said, the presentation was excellent, and the dishes were extremely tasty. My favorite part of the evening was the London Fog Crème Brûlée, an absolute standout dessert!

Freebird Restaurant in Point-A-Pierre, Trinidad, is a hidden gem that offers a dining experience as delightful as its location. Tucked away in nature, this charming spot feels like a secret escape, with lush greenery and serene surroundings enhancing the ambiance. The food is exceptional, offering a variety of flavorful dishes that blend local ingredients with international flair. Each meal is thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, making it a true culinary delight. The service was fantastic. Due to its popularity and intimate setting, reservations are essential, but well worth it for the unforgettable experience. PS. You do drive through an oil refinery to get to it.

Too noisy, servants were pleasant but service was extremely slow. Waited two hours for food. Food was good overall but a better experience was needed. We really anticipated this visit.
Nakisha S — Google review
We took our mum to Freebird for Sunday Brunch on her birthday, and it was fantastic! The dishes and drinks, which incorporated a lot of local ingredients, were wholesome yet sophisticated. The idea of shared plates is really smart because it means less food wastage. You also get some additional treats that aren't included on the menu, but they elevated the meal. The service was quick and the staff were very pleasant. They were all briefed on the reason we were celebrating and acknowledged my mother. The decor and tableware were beautiful, playing on nature and light. The one thing that took away from the experience was a group that came some time after. They were extremely loud. That caused everyone in the restaurant to talk louder, and it became too noisy. It still would not deter me from going back to celebrate any special occasions because to sum it up, Freebird is impressive!

Freebird restaurant really is a unique experience. Each dish was presented beautifully and tasted delicious in its own way. All meats halal is always a bonus. Nestled on the shores of Little Rockly Bay, Magdalena Grand Beach & Golf Resort is a luxurious retreat offering a private beach area, 3 outdoor pools, and an 18-hole golf course. The rooms and suites are equipped with modern amenities including free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and satellite TV. With 4 dining options and 3 bars, guests can indulge in a variety of culinary experiences.
I had an epic stay at Magdalena Grand. The breakfast was great, the view was beautiful, and the beach was really cool. The whole place gives you a little “fancy” feeling without being over the top. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the parking was convenient. Yes, it’s a little on the pricey side, however I still really enjoyed my time here and would definitely love to stay again.

Avoid this course – poor service, unwelcoming staff, and mismanagement We recently played a round at Magdalena Grand Beach & Golf Resort Golf Course in Tobago and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We arrived promptly for our 7:00 AM tee time, only to find the clubhouse closed. The security guard told us management was late. When the manager, Tamara Philip, finally arrived around 7:20 AM, her first comment was not an apology, but a complaint about how our drop-off vehicle was positioned. Not exactly a warm welcome. It took another 15 minutes before the pro shop was opened, only for her to tell us that we didn’t have a tee time booked—despite giving her the name of the staff member who took the reservation. Instead of resolving the issue, she was dismissive and offered no apology or solution. Then came a warning: if it started raining, there would be no rain check. Fine—but the issues continued. We were told we needed a driver’s permit to rent a golf cart—a requirement that was never communicated when we booked. We eventually showed a photo of a permit, which seemed to suffice, but then we were told that if we were caught with the cart on the course, they would take the keys away. The whole interaction felt confrontational and hostile. Not once did we receive an apology. In fact, it felt like we were unwelcome from the moment we arrived. This course is government-run, and sadly, it shows. The staff clearly does not care about hospitality or customer experience—and the treatment we received made it hard not to feel that foreigners aren’t particularly welcome. If you still decide to play here, be prepared for poor service, arbitrary rules, and possibly being treated like an inconvenience. And if you must, try speaking to the “dinosaur” Tamara—though don’t expect much help. Extremely disappointed. Would not recommend.
Ravi — Google review
The Magdalena Grand Beach & Golf Resort, once regarded as Tobago’s premier hotel, has unfortunately lost much of its former glory. While the location within the scenic Tobago Plantations Estate—particularly its proximity to the island’s top-tier golf course—remains a strong point, the overall condition of the hotel is in serious decline. The rooms are extremely dated, with unreliable plumbing and inconsistent air conditioning. In an attempt to mask the musty odor, strong air fresheners are used, which only highlight the underlying issues. The outdoor jacuzzi is in a terrible state and clearly neglected. Additionally, the overwhelming seaweed buildup along the beach, accompanied by a pungent odor, significantly detracts from the beachfront experience. Service at the hotel is a mixed bag. While a few staff members were warm, professional, and welcoming, others appeared indifferent and disengaged, suggesting a lack of proper training or oversight. The resort, once a flagship destination, is now in dire need of a comprehensive renovation and more effective management. It’s disheartening to see a property with such potential continue to decline. Without meaningful investment and attention to guest experience, the Magdalena risks fading further from its once-respected status.

This wonderful place is full of amazing views of the water line aswell as the golf course, not to mention the aesthetic addition of two cats. If I had to say what the best part of this hotel is, it would have to be the absolutely transcending experience i received after eating the butter present at this wonderful establishment.
Nelesh R — Google review
If this review were based solely on the service staff and their efforts given a bad situation, this would be a 5 star review. Special mention to Lisa for graciously agreeing to print a few speeches for a wedding we were attending, she was very helpful. Now with respect to our 4 night stay starting 24-Sep-2025, 2 of the 4 nights we had no water in the room. The first night without water we were unable to shower, use the bathroom, etc until the following morning, after a day of sweating in the tremendous Tobago heat. The last night of our stay we came back from a wedding and again no water, could not shower, use bathroom, etc, the water did not come back the following morning either so we checked out. We asked on both occasions to be moved to a room with water and were told there were none. We also had to keep calling for updates on the water situation. Additionally the only source of lighting in the room was from the 2 bedside lamps, one of which was not working and was never repaired during the stay, so we had to deal with very poor lighting. There was a quality breakfast buffet offered with our package, and we did enjoy it, except for one of the mornings when they ran out of food and guests were upset - they seemed short staffed. Upon checking-out I reported all the issues to a lovely reception attendant Krystal, and asked what could be done given all the issues with our stay, to which she replied that no management was present and that she would pass the information to them that afternoon and they would call. Never got any calls and tried calling the hotel a few times but the calls would not go through.

The Location is beautiful but my experience was terrible. Recently spent a Four day vacation here and the service was simply horrible. The cost was way higher than other resorts with much better service and meals provided. The breakfast was simply basic with the same options each morning - The only variation being the vegetable of the day. The water heater was down and despite making several request for assistance they insisted that they had problems with that throughout the hotel while another set of staff stated that it was just the wing we were on had that problem. My kids had the worse time bathing as they used the bathtub and not only was it very cold it was rusty and brown water which they scorned very much. They offered a 500 dollar refund for the inconvenience, however they insisted it needed to be redeemed at a restaurant. When we went to the restaurant they said they will not be able to make the exception to have the food taken away from the Buffet despite explaining that we could not dine in due to the flight time. I did have a better experience here 8 Years ago but it seems as though the guests are now an afterthought and not a priority. We also requested a crib when we first checked in and waited several hours for it until we had to call and ask again. The pool towels ran out when we went to collect so we got the last two and they promised to bring the other two requested to our room. That never happened. We had to have the light bulb changed and the sliding door to the balcony worked on during our stay just to make it somewhat comfortable. Highly recommend Hospitality training for the staff and also better maintenance of the property. Additionally in my experience of staying in many hotels; if there is an issue with the room when guest first arrive and a complaint is made, management usually makes all the necessary attempts to have the room inspected and have the room changed to one which is better maintained. However the approach here was that management will be informed and no follow through was done.. Please do better.... People choose your report out of many other options therefore your team should also Choose to prioritize their comfort and enjoyment of the stay.

Excellent hotel. Older infrastructure but well maintained. The rooms have been updated and are quite quaint and relatively modern. Each with a view of the ocean. Food is great and staff are friendly. Easy to relax.
Terence M — Google review
I had high hopes for the Magdalena Grand Beach Resort, drawn in by glossy online photos and its reputation as a once-prestigious destination. However, my experience was nothing short of disappointing, and it’s clear this resort has seen better days. When it was a privately owned resort, it was reportedly at its peak—vibrant, luxurious, and well-maintained. Unfortunately, since being taken over by the government, it has deteriorated into a shadow of its former self. The moment you step onto the property, you’re hit with an overpowering stench of sewage that makes it nearly impossible to breathe. This smell, caused by piles of decaying seaweed covering the entire beach, is not just unpleasant but a legitimate health concern, especially for pregnant women due to the toxic gases released. The beach itself is an eyesore, littered with plastic waste and pollution, making it completely unusable for relaxation or recreation. The resort’s physical state is equally dismal. The paint on the walls is flaking off everywhere, exposing cracked and crumbling foundations. The rooms are in disrepair, with stained yellow toilet seats and a general sense of neglect. The restaurants and bars are a letdown—most menu items and even basic cocktails are unavailable due to a lack of ingredients, which is shocking for a place charging premium prices. It’s a textbook case of the Trinidad government acquiring something expensive without the means or will to maintain it. The online pictures are deceiving, painting a false picture of luxury that doesn’t exist. The only redeeming factor is the staff, who remain friendly and professional despite working in such deplorable conditions. I genuinely feel sorry for them. Save your money and avoid this resort. The high prices are unjustifiable, and the experience is far from the tropical paradise promised.

Starfish Tobago is a relaxed all-inclusive resort located on the southwestern coastline near the town of Plymouth. Situated directly on the beach in Great Courland Bay, it offers a lush tropical landscape and modern low-rise architectural design with 125 rooms featuring simple Caribbean decor. The area around Starfish Tobago offers tranquil beaches like Mt Irvine Bay, Grafton Bay, and Great Courland, where endangered turtles can be seen nesting from March to August.
My experience at Starfish was amazing. The all inclusive package had me in awe. The food was great the service was great. The entertainment every night was really nice. Love the fact that throughout the day you still could have eaten something from the D' Bay Grill. For Easter Sunday they had a nice activity for the kids. I enjoyed every minute of it. I will definitely come back again.

Staff are very friendly. Rooms are comfortable and sea views are great. There are no lifts but all buildings are just one storey. Food is good at both the Grill and main restaurant. Every day, the main restaurant has a different local menu with rice, vegetables, two meats, and fish. The bar has good local drinks. The main pool is 3.6 meters deep, and there is a children's pool as well. There is evening entertainment, including steel pan music, karaoke, and singers.

Good for locals of Trinidad and Tobago. In need of updates inside rooms and outside. Had bathroom shower leaks that was not fully resolved in the 2 days I was there. Very frustrating. Overpriced for what was offered. Food was good. Went on a busy weekend and they ran out of beach towels. I would not return to this hotel.

It was a reasonable one stop vacation. Calm bathing beach on the hotel shore, beautiful pool (shallow), restaurants, rooms etc. Most staff are very friendly. Some not so friendly (minority). I will come back again and again esp because it was cost effective.

Some staff members were pleasant and accommodating. However, it was clear that they were working within limitations by management. Staff were made to ask unreasonable requests of guests. Such as long and tedious forms on entry and exit, constant requests to have food items replenished. Pool towels were unavailable for lenghtly periods. Upon arrival, rooms had very long wait time past the 3pm checkin time, one of our rooms weren't available until 5pm! Steps to the upper floor were narrow, steep, and overall not structurally sound or accommodating to persons with children or elderly. Rooms were assigned without even consideration to these factors. Snacks bar required guests to be dry and seated to get the snacks (hot dogs and burgers). It's totally unreasonable, as most times, guests would be enjoying time in the pool while wanting a snack. Also upon arriving at 5pm was told they had closed off snacks although closing time was supposed to be at 5:30pm. Pool cleaning and treatments were being done during pool hours, and even while guests were in the pool. Overall, my stay here wasn't a pleasant experience, and I would not return or recommend if you are looking for value for your money with an all-inclusive package.

I’m currently staying at Starfish in Tobago, and I’m genuinely disappointed with the condition of the main pool. The water is green and murky, and I couldn’t even see the bottom, a clear indication that it’s not being properly maintained. This isn’t just a cosmetic issue; it’s a health and safety concern. When I brought it up, there didn’t seem to be much urgency from the staff. At a resort of this level, basic maintenance like water quality should be non-negotiable. Guests should never have to question whether a pool is safe to swim in. I hope management takes this feedback seriously this kind of oversight affects the guest experience and the reputation of the resort. Tobago is beautiful, and travelers deserve better when choosing a place to stay.

I booked a holiday at Starfish Hotel in Trinidad and Tobago for myself, my wife, and 3 daughters, and sadly, the experience was a huge letdown. The food situation was one of the biggest disappointments. The same meals were served every single day with no real variety, and despite what the menu advertised, only about 10% of it was ever available. On top of that, the restaurant often opened an hour later than the times listed, which was frustrating and made planning meals around the day unnecessarily difficult. The facilities were also in terrible shape. The pool was only about 2 feet deep, dirty, and misty, making it unfit for swimming or even lounging around. The jacuzzi was no better — it looked more like a swamp than a place to relax. On top of all this, there was no running water in the shower at one point during the holiday. Instead of moving us to another room quickly, management took their time, leaving my family stuck without such a basic necessity. For a holiday destination, this was completely unacceptable. I will say that the staff were very friendly and did their best with what they had, but it was clear that proper training and management are badly needed. Service was slow and unprofessional, and the team seemed unequipped to handle even basic issues. Overall, my holiday at Starfish Hotel was far below expectations. Between the poor food, unusable facilities, lack of basic comfort, and undertrained staff, I would not recommend booking here. In fact, I would even consider not staying here if someone offered me this place free of charge — I value my happiness and my family’s experience far more than saving money. Trinidad and Tobago is a beautiful place, but sadly this hotel does not do it justice.

I stayed here 2 nights with my family and it was the WORST hotel I have EVER stayed at. The food was awful, the rooms were no where close to updated, there wasn’t even an outlet in one of the bedrooms in the room, and the worst thing of all was the hotel staff’s attitude. I have never experienced attitude like this in any hotel. The servers were rolling their eyes right in front of you, completely ignoring you at the entrance to the food wait while you’re waiting. My friend told them what they are doing is wrong and she COMPLETELY IGNORED her and proceeded to give her the most burnt bacon they had, while me (in front of her) got regular cooked one. And don’t even get me started on the bar and the bartenders, I’ve never felt so uncomfortable, unwelcome, unhappy. They their attitude was the worst of all and honestly wondering why you would hire someone like them. I didn’t get his name but he was a darker guy with no hair, moving extremely slow, completely ignores you, makes extremely sloppy drinks(that were all placed in plastic cups) I accidentally spilled a bit on the counter that didn’t harm anyone and he got scarily angry at me. So DO NOT COME TO STARFISH HOTEL. No matter what the other good reviews say

Nestled on the southwest tip of Tobago near Crown Point, Coco Reef Resort & Spa is a luxurious retreat spread across 10 acres of tropical landscape. The resort boasts elegant accommodations with contemporary decor and offers a range of experiences for couples and families. With its low-rise Caribbean Palladian architectural style, the resort features 135 rooms and villas, some offering stunning sea views.
Coco Reef Resort in Tobago is a true paradise. The stunning beachfront location offers breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere, perfect for relaxation. The staff is exceptionally friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. A special thanks to Mr. Graham, the wonderful hotel director, for his customer-focused approach. The airport is conveniently close but completely silent. Delicious food, a fantastic breakfast, and the Manager’s Welcome made our stay unforgettable. A big hand to the Coco reef team from the breakfast, especially Patrice.

This hotel is one of the "upper class" but does not meet expectations. There has been a lack of upkeep throughout the hotel. It needs a revamp to get up to date with a modern look. The private beach needs to be redone. The barrier of rocks caused moss to develop which does not look or feel welcoming. We ended up walking over to Store Bay. There is a public beach to the right of the hotel too.

I agree with the other reviews. Although this is the nicest hotel on the island, its overpriced. The views and beach are breathtaking, the (free) breakfast area is immersed around the beach, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the grounds are also well-kept. Wifi is iffy in the hotel rooms. They offer same-day laundry service.

Always stay at Coco Reef when I visit Tobago, July 2025, first time back since COVID Place is still well kept and beautiful However, feels like management has changed, noticeably leas staff, plumbing problems and shortages of towels, and whatever staff is there have strained looks and appear overwhelmed. There was a renewal of vows happening sometime during our stay , a lot of guests that weekend, but only 2 staff working clearing tables during breakfast. . There is a play room, it is only available upon request, kids loved it.

Has the potential to be a 4 star but the years have caught up and it was not maintained. Creaky doors, dirty floors, potholes in car park etc, the details are missing. Wi fi is very weak for 2025. Staff are great though. Location, beach, scenery are excellent. Very little amenities for elderly and handicapped.

This had been one of my favorite spots to enjoy the ocean and the Rock barrier that prevents the waves from crashing in giving the feel of an ocean salt water pool. NOW THEY ARE ALLOWING THESE COMMERCIAL BOATS INSIDE LITTERING THE SEASCAPE VIEW. THIS KILLS THE ONCE TRANQUILITY OF THIS SPOT.

Sandy Point Beach Club is a charming beachfront resort that offers a relaxed atmosphere perfect for vacationers seeking both adventure and tranquility. With 20 self-contained apartments equipped with full kitchens, guests can enjoy the comforts of home while being just steps away from stunning beaches like Store Bay and Pigeon Point. The property features inviting amenities such as a refreshing pool, three hot tubs, and a beachfront café/bar where you can unwind with drinks.
Sandy Point Beach Club was an unforgettable experience! The location is absolutely stunning, with a breathtaking beach just steps away. Our apartment was spotless and had everything we needed—hairdryer, iron, kettle, and more. The free laundry facilities, including washers and dryers, were such a bonus. The amenities were outstanding, from billiards, tennis, and table tennis to multiple pools perfect for relaxation. There was always something fun to do! The staff and other guests were incredibly friendly, making the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Communication was seamless, with all details provided promptly after booking and quick responses to any questions. This place truly felt like a slice of paradise. With its amazing views, top-notch facilities, and exceptional service, it was one of the best Airbnb stays we’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

After spending a week in Tobago, we understand island time and the reasons that so many updates are needed. Note that the Cafe was not in operation, and the beach area at the resort is small. Better local beaches are close, though. Besides the resort in need of a lot of love, we adored Oosha, Unstable Cliff, and Elvira who took care of us at the bar and beyond. They made the resort welcoming and a lot of fun. We weren't sure about Tobago, but ask for Dexter, and you'll fall in love with this island like we did. We enjoyed a snorkeling tour, and the Food/Island tour is where you'll get a feel of the life of a local. You'll experience the beauty Tobago has to offer. Dexter aims to please. He took very good care of our party's needs, and he went above and beyond to show us the best Tobago has to offer including island hospitality. His tours made the trip for us! 5 STARS for Dexter. Go and enjoy. It's a special place, with great food, beautiful beaches, and lovely people.

This is a great beachfront resort with a pool, 3 hot tubs and a bar. All the staff are very friendly and hospitable and Tobago is a relaxed laid back and welcoming island. Highlights of the week were the 2 trips we did with Dexter from Island Man Tours. We saw a huge leatherback turtle laying eggs on the beach at night, an amazing experience. We also did a full day tour with all food and drink provided, where we visited beaches and waterfalls in the rainforest. We fed hummingbirds and saw newly hatched turtles, stingrays and caiman in their natural habitats. It's a great day out, don't miss it when you visit.

Me and my boyfriend are currently visiting Tobago and are staying at sandy point for 2 weeks. I’m writing this review after the first week as we are honestly having the most wonderful time. We were disappointed to find out when we arrived that the restaurant that sells very affordable home made local food was close for renovations. It would have been nice to be informed before are stay. The drinks and location are wonderful as well as the staff, they make you feel very welcome. Sandy point really does feel like a home away from home. We were beyond blown away by the trips we did with Dexter we have done both the land tour and boat trip with him. On the land trip we tried so many local foods and saw all of the hidden gems the island has to offer including a waterfall. My highlight was the hummingbird sanctuary where you feed the birds from hand whilst eating local ice cream. On the boat trip we were blown away by the sea life and landscape we saw. We were lucky enough to swim with dolphins, see sting rays, turtles and loads of fish and corals. I would truly recommend anyone coming to Tobago to do a trip with Dexter. He really goes above and beyond for the guests like taking us to a cash point to get money out and showing us some of his favourite spots to get drinks and a bite to eat on our first day. I have visited the island many times and done lots of trips but nothing compares to these trips with Dexter this year. I saw places and thing I have never seen before. Dexter will be there at the ideation meeting on the Saturday morning so chat to him there.

One year later. Maybe a 1 star may have been harsh. In all fairness. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The ambience is peaceful and calming. If you're looking to get away then this is definitely the place for you. However, limited wifi in 2025 is still unforgivable and the lack on in room entertainment is questionable. But still kudos to the staff and maintenance teams.

Located in the charming Bacolet area of Scarborough, Tobago's largest city, Bacolet Beach Club is an exclusive boutique hotel offering 50 chic rooms surrounded by lush gardens. The hotel exudes a warm and friendly atmosphere, with accommodation options including Bay Deluxe Rooms, Junior Rooms, Superior Rooms, and a Superior Penthouse de Luxe. Perched above a secluded beach, the whitewashed 20-room hotel offers contemporary rooms with balconies facing either the ocean or the pool.
If you want peace, beauty and amenities this place is perfection. An easy TT$130 taxi from the airport. We were shown to our room by a great young lady who was super friendly and informative, both about the hotel itself and the local area. The room had a stunning view over the pool to the sea, with the hotels private beach below. Decor was a little dated and muddled but honestly that just added to the charm, it was spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed - extras such as towels for the beach were provided at reception. Food in the attached restaurant was reasonably priced and good quality. This whole place is charming and full of beauty. I would 100% stay here again in a second.

Landed in Tobago on the 31st of Dec, and with a very reliable pick-up service by the hotel (immigration was super slow that day), upon arrival I simply changed and headed straight for the NYE party! What a brilliant night it was: live music, super atmosphere with bonfires on the beach and great cocktails, incl. laser show. Bacolet Beach Club is simply fabulous: views are to-die-for, fresh & delicious, healthy food (which was much appreciated, also since I have special food requirements), very friendly service and just a pleasure to be at. Their private beach is gorgeous too, you couldn't get me out of the water, if you tried. I particularly loved their Guitar Nights on a Thursday, which attracts guests and locals alike, and the Karaoke nights were just hilarious! All-in-all: for me the most enjoyable & fun place to stay on the island!

We loved the property with 3 pools to swim in plus the private beach. 3-section hotel is filled with beautiful trees and plants, and a large variety of birds are all around. Our room opened up to the pool, and we enjoyed late night swims with nobody else around. Lots of repairs and maintenance needed, but the location is priceless, and we loved our holiday here.

The room was very clean, spacious and elegant. With a little sink in the pantry area would be perfect. The service at reception perfect. Specially by the nice girl who received us the first day with her sweet daughter. She coordinated the taxi from the boat terminal to the hotel. At the restaurant was the same kindness from another girl. On her shift everything perfect, very different with the likely philippine waitress. Another service worker was very nice and helpful with us during our staying. The location is good for those who preffer calm and relax. For those who wants more activities can travel with vehicle, rent one or use taxi service like us.

The rooms were generally ok, however, there are many things that need to be corrected such as: bathroom shower heads were clogged, taps dated, doors making a dragging sound while opening/closing, mattresses are very hard, presentation wasn't much to be desired. Positive side, great location, check-in staff was great, dining area is amazing, grounds are pretty decent, beautiful views of the ocean, breakfast was 💯

Booked this hotel for 3 nights to celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary and was sorely disappointed to say the least . The hotel is extremely dated and in general lacks care and attention. The room was old! The kicker for me was that the bed did not have a box spring, so the boards of the bed were felt through the mattress - in 2025 and at that price point - I think not! This resulted in me having to take medication for two days for back pain (happy anniversary to me)! The shower had exposed pvc and looked “rigged”, the water pressure was low. We had to put a chair against the door for additional security, since the latch seemed broken and the door damaged. Needless to say, we checked in at 7:20 pm on day 1 and promptly checked out at 9:45 am the next morning in search of alternative accommodations!!!! I logged a complaint with the front desk and AMEX at check out and now management is refusing to be honorable and provide reimbursement. If you are looking for a “good” place to stay, this is NOT it!!!!!! TBC

Went there 2 weeks ago for breakfast after a morning walk. Light breezy atmosphere Simple but filling breakfast offering. Loved the coffee ☕️

It's a nice place to view, but the lousy location means you'll be stuck at the top of the mountain. You can't go out for a short time if you need to shop or eat. Not safe through the town street. Take a taxi. They don't provide soap and shampoo; bring your own. The service staff member complained that one of our friends could choose seats at the dinner table during her remote live meeting. We can't change the time to 7:30 PM for dinner. The food is okay but too salty. For dessert, there is only cheap ice cream every day—no non-dairy option, nothing special related to Trinidad and Tobago like pie, cake, etc. Breakfast and coffee start at 7:30 AM, but we must leave on time for a conference. We checked until the last day, and they can offer a little bit earlier. What the heck!!! They didn't provide any accommodation for us. In most hotel businesses, breakfast starts at 6 AM.

I stayed here in 2005 and then it was fairly bare bones but clean. However in 2025 it is a terrible disappointment. The rooms are filthy. A parade of ants occupied my closet. The bedding was changed once in 7 days. I stayed in the equivalent of a basement room. It was dank and moldy. The curtains were filthy. The bathroom fixtures were rusty throughout. The upholstered furniture in the foyer was threadbare and dirty. Regularly there was no hot water. The proprietor was friendly but must have thought that his upbeat nature would make up for the disrepair and degraded quality of the place. I could hardly wait to leave.

Very poor customer service. The waitress lacked or appeared to have lacked the knowledge of the very limited options for tea. Very long waiting time to get a simple thing like tea. She disappeared after serving us and we had to go searching for her to make payment. She is most unsuitable in all ways for this business. 👎

A blessed, place wrapped in nature, with wonderful hosts! A monastery, rooms are modest, comfortable, and provide all you need for a restful visit, allowing you access to the nature that surrounds you. Breakfast (included) and dinner, are tastefully done adding to the ambiance of this historic place. A nature trail up the mount is steep but doable, views are rewarding. Paved walkways around the monastery also allow for breathtaking views. Scores of different types of colorful hummingbirds from around the valley and mountainside visit the dining veranda. A comfortable terrace out front provides a place to unwind with a bird’s eye view of Trinidad’s central plains. At night the lights from below dazzle. Preceding dinner, an iced rum punch is delivered to wherever you are, then an attention-getting, resonant gong draws you to your meal in the dining room, which along with the sitting room contain eclectic antiques that bring one into the spirit of the place. Very welcoming hosts! Oda greets you, prepares delicious meals (especially the soups) and Gerard serves you well at dinner offering up Trinidadian / St. Benedict history and birding information. Lastly, but not least, one may walk up to the Catholic chapel up the hill for an early morning inspiring mass. You will feel a bit closer to heaven for doing so, AND be able to stroll back down for a wonderful breakfast at PAX.

I stayed here about 15 years ago and usually go a couple times a year for afternoon tea. Went yesterday and the same homely feel was there. This is one of the few places in Trinidad that has stayed the same over the years. It's beautiful and the history well preserved. Can safely say one of my favourite places to visit for centering, reclaiming Serenity and connecting with nature. Blessings to the wonderful folks there.

Gerrard and Olga were very welcoming when our group arrived. They already had all the covid testing arranged for us for when it was time to leave, which was a huge relief. It was about a 20 minute walk down the the road to a convenience store. The veranda had lots of hummingbird feeders. Overall it was a wonderful way to end our bird watching trip.
Nancy D — Google review
I visited for the afternoon tea which takes place daily from 3pm-6pm by reservation only due to covid. The ambiance is nice and very refreshing. There are hummingbirds right on the patio area however the building can do with some sprucing up. Service was great, staff was very warm and friendly and the tea plate selection was very simple but sufficed. The tea plate and pot of tea was a bit steep at 65TTD for a plate that comprised of two slices of bread, some honey, two slices of cheese and a slice of cake with a pot of tea. I think if some maintenance work is done it will or a bit of a larger tea plate selection, it'll be a perfect hidden gem.

The property also features a casino, water park, bar, and offers activities like scuba diving and snorkeling.
Had a nice few days at Miller’s Guest House - the view is amazing, and Winston is the man. A couple minutes walk to the beach and so many great things to do nearby - horseback riding, getting a massage, and of course taking a boat tour with Pop’s. The Internet is also great and the bar is a fun vibe as well. Not a luxurious place - but it’s just perfect for a stay in Buccoo.

Apart from that which was stated below, there were 2 highlights to my trip. First, being the lovely Italian restaurant at the end and across the street from the Boardwalk. Secondly, across from the restaurant we found this little health store corner operated by a lovely little Phillipino lass. Anytime you're in the area please stop by, you won't regret it. One word to describe my little vacation with my niece - Beautiful. Thanks so much Mr Miller

It's in a Great location, walking distance to popular restaurants, other eateries, beautiful view of Buccoo with easy access to the beach. Laid back and super chill environment, the boardwalk is a lovely walk along the water, with good local food at the restaurant. Room prices are good, and Winston is a great host, cool guy, easy going and professional. Will be back as soon as I can.

Awesome place. Nice location. Buccoo not too lively and not too dull. It has that cool, chill vibe...ideal for a traveller. Winston Pereira is a laid back dude and he runs this establishment with the customer in mind. The guest house has a real homey field and offers the true experience of Tobago. In the morning you can get up and view the fishing boats on the shore, walk on the boardwalk and then take your early morning dip on the beach. The bar and restaurant is a true representation of what Tobago offers. On one of my stays at Miller's, after a long drive up to Pirates Bay, I was do hungry I could have ate a horse. When I returned to my room, the bar was serving rabbit for lunch and it was the sweetest meat I ate in years. So overall, it was a great experience. I will definitely recommend Millers Guest house for anyone seeking to experience a true slice of Tobago.

Acajou Hotel is a charming eco lodge nestled on Trinidad's pristine north coast, offering rustic wooden cabins perfect for couples or small families. Guests can enjoy bird watching, jungle hikes, surfing, and beach relaxation. The hotel's restaurant serves delectable dishes made from fresh produce sourced from its organic farm. Situated in Grande Riviere Bay, the property is within walking distance of a bird watching site and an hour's boat ride from Paria Falls.
I totally enjoy Acajou. Booking was done online, easy and convenient. If you are into the rustic element, then it's a good place for you. You get your own cottage, the bed is comfy, the amenities are great, and I was surprised by no air conditioning, but there's fans. Walk with your repellent for extra protection. The river runs along the property, their kayaks are available as well, and it's a minute walk to the beach, an access gate available. Staff is warm. Breakfast is fulling.

A Peaceful Nature Paradise – My Stay at Acajou Hotel My stay at the Acajou Hotel in Grande Riviere was beautiful and relaxing. The property feels like a tropical garden with coconut palms and lush vegetation. I especially loved the charming, separate wooden cabins, which offer plenty of privacy and come with balconies and hammocks – perfect for unwinding. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with mosquito nets ensuring a restful sleep. From the dining area, you could watch hummingbirds – a magical experience! The hotel is beautifully situated by the river and offers access to the nearby beach. However, the path to the beach was a bit challenging due to obstacles like a fallen tree. I also would have loved to see more fruit-bearing plants like papayas in the garden. Despite these small issues, Acajou Hotel is a tranquil retreat, ideal for nature lovers and anyone seeking relaxation. I’d happily return!

Recently stayed with my partner and 2 year old son. The cottage is cozy with a very natural but modern touch. Coffee station is offered in the room with a small fridge. My oh my was the bed comfy!!!! 5 🌟 The food was AMAZING!!! Breakfast is included in your charge. Recommendations - The area around my cottage and neighboring cottages should be better kept... the grass was a bit high. - We booked this place, yes, mainly to go turtle watching but also saw that a cot/ crib would be offered on request. This was not the case as we were told it was no longer offered. Remove this service from your online description. All in all the stay was pleasant and one that will always be remembered. Thank you staff at Acajou.

Paradise, I live being back home and revisting places I have been to when my kids were young. This place is fairly new and I absolutely love the rustic feel and privacy each of the cabins offer. I hope it does not change with time like the other place nearby taken over by a huge corporation. Makes it impossible for many to enjoy our island of Trinidad. Excellent breakfast and a wonderful dinner too. Service could be a bit faster but fitting the island vibe.

Acajou was indeed beautiful. The cottage was beautifully designed. Rocking in the hammock listening to the sounds of the waves was worth every penny. Three things however I would improve on are, better secured locks for the doors, secured blackout curtains, incase of peeping Tom's as the beach and fishing area is close by and more lights! Decorative lights around the trees would have been more beautiful at night. Definitely worth a visit. My 8 year old daughter loved it also. ❤️

The upstairs room we were assigned had 3 beds, air condition, a porch with a sea view. In room tea and coffee station as well as bathroom amenities provided. Meals were breakfast, lunch, tea time snack and dinner and the menu was different each day and consisted of local favourites. Staff are evidently trained well in customer service as everyone we encountered was a breath of fresh air and made the experience great. Simple gestures of the chef visiting guests to ensure everyone had a great meal and experience sets a tone of excellence to aim for. I myself, celebrated a birthday and another couple an engagement which the staff made the experience memorable. The hotel offers numerous free as well as paid activities to choose from such as kayaking, trips to a nearby bird watching lounge, heated pool, board games and more. Beachfront lounge chairs with umbrellas are a nice touch for those who would prefer a laid back experience. Another nice gesture of note is that on the day of check out you have the option to still have lunch with them before you leave which I thought was a nice touch. Overall a really nice place to visit for both foreign and local guests. All members of staff were pleasant and well trained. I must make mention of Ms. Candace who particularly took care of us and made our experience memorable.

Wonderful hotel. Staff is warm and friendly and the food is excellent. There are staff to assist with the kayaks. Life vests are available. There were board games available. There are also loungers on the beach. Bring a waterbottle for free filtered water.

It was a long drive but worth it. Very relaxing atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff, amazing and delicious food. It's a nice size place. Not too big so it's not much walking to and fro. Experienced the collection and release of turtle hatchlings for the first time, that was so much fun and we learnt a lot from our guide Len. The beach is nice when it's calm , the river was also nice to kayak and the heated pool was most welcome at night. All in all, wonderful few days. Would we return, most definitely ☺️

Mt Plaisir Estate Hotel has to be one of the best places I've been to in Trinidad and Tobago. The place was clean, the view was gorgeous, relaxing and serene. And you definitely didn't have to worry about food. It was like an all-inclusive hotel where you get breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a little afternoon tea and pastries... you pay for non-alcoholic drinks but it was worth it! We even got a delicious seasonal welcome drink (sorrel)! The people were also the friendliest staff we ever came across in the country! They are so well mannered and attentive! I felt like I was not in Trinidad! If you just want to relax and forget about all your cares in the world, this is the place! And that heated salted pool was amazing!!!! I forgot to get a pic but it was the best!!!! Only downside was we were on the ground floor because we booked late so there were no upstairs rooms available but I would recommend an upstairs room if you can to get that view also if you don't like bugs cause we did have a few visitors... but you are in an eco-lodge so that should be expected. Just walk with your bug spray or citronella candles. Everything was more or less catered for in terms of soap, shampoo, conditioner, even lotion. And you got extra towels and pillows!! There were even friendly doggies on the beach waiting to greet you! Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend if you need a getaway and an amazing experience!!

Wow, I could not have imagined how amazing this would be. From the beach beauty, the natural majesty of the turtles. The staff are lovely and the connection between the location and all the locals. We'll be back!!!

My husband and I just wrapped up our first, but definitely not last, stay at this resort. It is a beautiful resort with beautiful people and beautiful views. The room was immaculate! Every single staff member was welcoming and friendly. The food was absolutely amazing! The pool is warm and nice. We did kayaking, a first for the both of us, but we had a ball! The turtle viewing experience was astounding! We saw the hatchlings and the mommies! We loved every moment of our experience! We can’t wait to come back!
Shannon S — Google review
Beautiful beach, comfortable rooms, and delicious food. The resort is small so it's hard to feel crowded, I only really saw other patrons while in the dining room. The beach gets cleaned every morning so there is no litter. The turtle watching was fantastic. We stayed for just one night when really I wish we could've stayed for two. For dinner, I didn't like the look of the buffet food that was offered, and the staff immediately offered me an a la carte menu. The whole experience felt tailored but not suffocating. Although I'm a local I'd recommend this experience to tourists and locals alike.

The view is beautiful. They catered to 3 of us for my mother's 75th birthday with a day pass. Clean rooms, lovely view, good food and a seated outdoor massage for each of us that was so good we wanted to take the masseuse home with us! Will go again!

From the time we arrived, we were met by Ms. Margaret, who was very friendly and helpful. All of the staff were very friendly. The facilities are beautiful. The rooms were clean and well made. The food was 5 star. I will definitely come here again. The only issue I have is that the pool hours are 6:30am to 6:30pm.

From the welcome cocktail with thoughtful cold face towel, to the vibrant and plentiful meals, staff service, room accommodations, pool, spa and gym, not to mention the beautiful panoramic view, they truly deserve full five stars. No complaints or shortcomings whatsoever. 👍💯

I have stayed here 3 times. Each time, everything was excellent!! friendly and accommodating management and staff with very clean rooms and property. 3 delicious meals, desserts and an afternoon snack are provided with cocktails (extra charge) made upon request You can even see the lights of Tobago on a clear night. I definitely recommend this place for anyone and their family.

The location is great, employees especially Anthony and Margaret were great. I think the cost is a bit pricey based on what being offered for food, and overnight, especially right after covid period, the overall look of the resort needs facelift as well if you are pushing a resort feeling. The view is awesome from the pool.

The service and food in this boutique hotel are exceptional. The views from the various balconies are also stunning. On a clear day, one can see Tobago. The rooms are clean and the beds and pillows are quite comfy. Would highly recommend.

A local hidden gem totally worth experiencing. The food, room and service are top notch. We stayed in the Bay suite room and you can hear the waves lapping the shores, the sands are about 60 paces away. Do yourself a favor and take that much needed pampering.

My wife and I had a fantastic stay. The resort looked amazing, it was always clean (probably the cleanest hotel/resort I've ever stayed in) and the staff friendly and attentive. The food was excellent and the general ambiance was relaxing. No cable, but we didn't miss it and there is a beach directly across the road. We're already planning to go back.

Nestled along the stunning Caribbean coast of Tobago, Plantation Beach Villas offers a serene escape with its six beautifully designed three-bedroom villas. Each villa showcases charming colonial architecture and is surrounded by lush tropical trees, providing an idyllic setting just steps from the picturesque Stonehaven Bay. Guests can enjoy modern amenities alongside elegant comfort, complete with their own Villa Attendant to cater to their needs. The resort features a refreshing outdoor pool and a beach bar where you can unwind while soaking in breathtaking ocean views.
Review for Plantation Beach Villas Kitchen I had the pleasure of staying at Plantation Beach Villas, and I must share my incredible experience with their kitchen. As someone who loves to cook, the kitchen here is nothing short of amazing. They offer a true taste of local home cuisine, something you rarely find when staying abroad. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. From morning breakfast to lunchtime feasts and delightful dinners, we cooked everything we desired. The best part? We didn’t have to worry about cleaning up! The staff took care of the kitchen after every meal, allowing us to enjoy our cooking without any hassle. This kitchen has it all – measuring cups, entire barbecue pits, an oven, dishwashers, and a full range of utensils. Unlike those cramped hotel kitchens that charge you a premium for minimal amenities, this kitchen offers a spacious and well-equipped environment. Imagine having the freedom to cook whenever and whatever you want, with everything you need right at your fingertips. One small note: be mindful of the induction stove, as it can be a bit tricky to tell when it’s on or off. But once you get the hang of it, the possibilities are endless. An added bonus is that if you don’t want to cook but buy your own groceries, the maid can cook for you. Just tell her what you want and how you like it, and she’ll prep and cook everything for a small additional fee. She’s also available to help with any meal prep you might need. The cleaning is included as part of her duties, but it’s only fair to compensate her for the extra time spent cooking. For anyone interested in a more in-depth look at this fantastic kitchen, including a video of us cooking breakfast and lunch, check out my YouTube channel, Mayham2003. You’ll see just how amazing and enjoyable this kitchen truly is.To the owner and staff at Plantation Beach Villas, thank you for making our stay so memorable. I can’t wait to visit again!

PBV will always be a family favorite. Our first choice vacation spot in Tobago. With the benefit of a pool and the beach only a few steps away, it’s the perfect place to be. No need to pack the house and jump in a car to find the best beaches, since the villas themselves are already situated on one of Tobago’s finest beaches. Not to mention they serve the best virgin piña coladas! Can’t wait to visit again next year!!
Georgia W — Google review
What a gem! These villas are beautiful and spacious and bright and open to the lovely sea breeze. They are immaculately cleaned daily by the wonderful, helpful staff (who will also cook you a fantastic dinner each day for a nominal extra charge). The beach here is gorgeous and practically deserted. We seek out un-crowded beaches all over the world and this was one of the best. There are nice thick trees that you can sit under to be shaded from the sun, or you can pull your chaise lounge out onto the brilliant sand to soak up the rays. There’s a nice bar by the pool where the owner serves up delicious fruit smoothies, beer, wine, a variety of cocktails. Can’t wait to return to this magical spot for another week in paradise!

Our villa was comfortable and spacious with a large verandah where you can watch the amazing bird life. It is only minutes from a lovely long beach and there is also a pool if you prefer. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms are cleaned daily and for a small fee you can have a delicious meal prepared. I celebrated a big birthday there and Sean and his staff helped make the occasion extra special.

Dec. 2015 was the BEST vacation stay @ these villas! The house was perfect, everything that u needed was there . The porch had ample space to hang out/dance . We saw a varity of birds, I loved seeing the hummingbirds at the feeders! We had a short walk to the pool & to the private beach. Our daily helpers were the best, house cleaned & meals cooked. The manager didn't hesitant to get us additional fruits or what else we needed, Now that's excellent service!!! It was a comfort knowing while we out all day & @ night there was reliable security@ the gated villas. Great place! 👍

What can I say that hasn't been said in the other "Excellent" reviews. Tobago is the real Caribbean and we had previously visited 3 times with the children for family holidays when they were all at school, 2 of these trips being at Plantation Beach Villas. Last week we returned for our first summer family holiday now that the "kids" are all grown up and working. I am happy to say that nothing has changed. It was instantly friendly, welcoming and relaxing. Sean and the rest of the staff are the perfect hosts, the pool a great haven (of "peace" if I can say that when our kids were having fun on floatables there) and the beach is just perfect for all ages and activities. Thanks Sean for another memorable week!

Visited the Plantation Beach Villas this past weekend for a Tobagonian wedding this past weekend and had the most wonderful experience. Sean was communicative and hospitable right from the start of our email exchange - months in advance of the trip. We arrived to a beautiful home (love the way the windows all open to the sea breeze... you can hear the ocean through the night, and the birds through the day), lovely staff!, incredible beachfront and memorable adventure. Looking forward to returning. (Dinner at nearby Seahorse Inn is a must!)

I feel so lucky I found this place. Super nice people working here. Home feeling, I’m already missing that place and definitely would not be looking anywhere else if go back to Tobago. Everything is close, we had a car but you really don’t need one if like walking. Close to bars, city life, food places. Safe, tidy. The plants surrounding property well maintained, you really get that tropical feeling. And the pool! Best I’ve seen in a long time. Long and deep! If like cooking, kitchen is very well equipped. We didn’t use kitchen except the fridge. Realistically if you are looking for some luxury for £50, this is not the place for you but also doubt you will find anything. So keep in mind- it is a simple place and a little bit outdated. But to me worked out really well. Thank you Summerland!
Lina P — Google review
I absolutely love Summer land. It's clean, I love the greenery throughout the property, fresh air, stocked kitchen, friendly staff, pool is amazing and it's close to everything. I stayed with my friend and then when my mom and her little church group were visiting Tobago I booked Summer Land for her group and they loved it as well. I love everything about it and not forgetting the cat ( resort cat) I call him, I love that they treat him well and he is always there to welcome guest, adorable fur baby. Will always stay here when I am going to Tobago.
Rebecca S — Google review
Quiet and cozy! This is a great getaway spot just off the beaten path, but not so far off that its inconvenient. Summerland Suites is located within easy driving distance to everything. So if you're on vacation with a mission to sight see, this is a great launching pad. Or if your intent is to get lost in the sheets, you can to that too...
Garvin K — Google review
Very large rooms in two floors. Airconditioning on top floor did not work, tv functioned only on base floor. It's allso true that they use torn up towels in entry. Staff is nice. We stayed a week before the carnival and it was almost empty. Staff asked if we wanted to swap rooms to the bigger ones without any extra charge! First time that happened. It's a fairly long walk east to nearest shop for water and other stuff. Closest bisness is a popular nightclub.

My sister, nephew and myself spend one week at this place last week. It was not a very good experience, my first nightmare was someone stole my new pair of shoe and a charger from in our room while we were out, then we left there with a lot of bumps on our skin from the insects all over the compound. The workers went in to the room while we were out and didn't clean anywhere, no sheets were changed and washrooms was never clean for the week. The pool area is surrounded with plants and because of that the pool always had leaves and flowers in it making it uncomfortable to bathe, there is no lighting around the pool area at night. The owner made no real effort to assist in getting back our missing items, instead he only making excuses. I will not recommend anyone to stay at this place. I have been visiting Tobago over 20 years, stayed at numerous Hotels and never miss anything, and not to mention housekeeping was done every 2- 3 days at other hotels. These people are nasty.

I visited here over the weekend and I was really pleased with the customer service. I got pleasant customer service from the first day I called to the day I left. I have seen people bashing the rooms on some booking sites and so on, I saw no need because the room I had was very comfortable and there was more than enough room to store the things myself and my companion had. The ac worked superb, the building was clean and so was our room. It smelt lovely! I suggest if you want to be away from a crowd of people and just miggle with a few, there is the correct place to visit. I can go on and on, and no! I did not get any more or a free weekend or whatever to rate this place, it is all genuine. One more thing, it is really close to alot of restaurants, bars and a grocery. Even better 😊. I hope you visit and enjoy your stay the way I did! Thank you for your wonderful and friendly service 😊!

We had a great stay here, it was in the quiet/slow season, so we were the only guests and had the place to ourselves, such a treat. We went as a group of 17 in late February, 2016. There were other guests at the resort as well. The dive shop is onsite right next to the resort. All rooms are quite large and all have a nice balcony and ocean side views. The dive shop and the resort are managed by a super nice couple. Every single member of our group were ecstatic and all of our needs and wishes were met. The place surpassed our expectations. The dive crew was meticulous and extremely safety minded. The resort staff friendly and helpful. We felt like we were treated more like family and friends than customers. They are really a special bunch! AC and hot water worked flawlessly. There is free WiFi. The only area that needs improvement are the WiFi coverage and speed. Our group did not want to leave this place! Highly recommended!

A nice quiet place for divers with a great ocean/bay view. The food was excellent for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This place is run by a HARD working couple who will go the extra mile to fix anything. Shout out to Juniper. I would stay the again!

The Inn is open after being closed during Covid. Soon the restaurant & bar will be fully operational under new management❣ I'm looking forward to cocktails with a view of Little Tobago. Piña colada just tastes better when you're seaside🌊

my daughter and I visited Tobago on Oct 31st 2022. We stayed at the Native Abode for 6days. Our stay was pleasant the hostess was very welcoming and accommodating. We were served with coconut bake fry bake saltfish or smoke herring and vegetable and fruits on a daily basis. The room we had was clean. The only down side are the stairs. You have to have good mobility for the stairs. Overall our stay was very homely and we had a great time.

Oh how many wonderful words I could say about this place!!! Its family owned and operated, so very personal intimate experience! They drove us when and where ever we wanted and cooked just the same! Very amazing location and located more locally, but still very easy to get around! The room had a mini kitchen, 3D TV( which of course had no use lol) balcony, king sized bed, free calling around the world(which was a big highlight since I had not known of 'what's app" yet!). Truely a charming place to stay with a hospitable family! Will stay again!!

The accommodation was exactly what we needed. Clean, very well equipped (tv, music internet etc) and Probably the best sheets Ive ever slept on ! Very hospitable and helpful planning excursions. A must for anybody that wants a local feel but still have all the amenities that a larger hotel would support.

Had a wonderful time staying with Nella, Neville, Dot and Benny! They were great hosts, made us feel welcomed, and like family! The lodge is homey, clean and peaceful. We expected no a/c (as only fans were indicated on their website), but the rooms were still very cool and comfortable. Breakfast was also yummy! The location is great, within close proximity to the mermaid pools and the Matura turtle nesting site! Would definitely recommend :)

My group and I really enjoyed our stay here. The host were absolutely splendid and incredibly helpful. The food they provided was really delicious too. Great spot to stay if you are going to checkout the turtles. The road to the lodge was in poor shape when we stayed, but manageable with the right car and careful driving.

The hosts Nella and Neville are wonderful and were such a delight to meet. They were extremely sweet and hospitable and the house is so very warm and welcoming. The added bonus is getting to meet their wonderful pets! The location is perfect for going on turtle watching tours and it's lovely and peaceful at their countryside home. We'll definitely come back here again and would recommend it to anyone!!

Nella and Neville are wonderful hosts! Their place is very clean and well-kept. They are great company and made us feel at home the minute we walked in the door. We communicated with them regularly before our trip, they answered all of our questions, and we could not be any happier staying with them!

Warm welcome from owners to this traditional trini style home. Cool balcony, lovely rooms with private bathrooms. Dinner cooked by our hosts was wonderful. Simple, tasty local food. instructions on turtle watching were also very helpful. The garden and plunge pool were also fantastic to cool off after a hot hike.
