I had read a lot of good things which is why I booked here to celebrate my birthday. Its such a beautiful setting overlooking the ocean. The service was 1st class and we were made to feel very special. The food was absolutely stunning loved every bit. Such a wonderful experience. Loved it 🥰

Another amazing restaurant, where ambience, service, food and views are all what you expect for a fine dining restaurant. Had a lovely 3 course evening meal here. Pre-booked and a table on the sea front. They'd specially prepared printed menus due to our anniversary, and brought out a sparkle and cake at the end as well. Food was exquisite. Lamb shank just melted off the bone as you expect, parents were excellent. Sea bass was divine, and shrimp curry was awesome. They staff were attentive and left us alone as well, to enjoy the evening and weren't rushed. Overall a lovely evening out.

Champers is a gorgeous restaurant that truly delivers on every level. The food was amazing and absolutely lived up to the high standards I’d heard about. The staff were warm, friendly, and made the entire experience even more enjoyable. For the quality and ambiance, I also found the prices to be quite reasonable. We visited for a belated celebration, and I loved the thoughtful touch of their custom menus. It was the cutest surprise and made the evening feel extra special. The food, drinks, and service were all excellent—everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented, and the staff was friendly and professional. The only downside is that they get very busy, so it can be tough to get a reservation. But once you’re in, it’s a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend planning ahead!

Champers is the "over the top" experience but completely worth it for a romantic evening while watching the sunset and sipping on cocktails. Very satisfying experience with thoughtful touches to the many dishes. Stellar service. Usually busy and need reservations early to guarantee a table. You will spend money but leave completely fulfilled.

Champers ranks in our top 5 of all time restaurant experience. We were there for our 39th wedding anniversary,and we were received with great love. Service , food ,and attention to details, was off the chart. If you are in Barbados, it is a must stop. My wife had the Salmon and I the crusted Barracuda...wow! Cannot praise or give a finer endorsement. Champers is just that good.

Wonderful, wonderful service and excellent food. I came here to celebrate the start of my doctorate. They customized the menu to have "congrats Natasha" on it. They brought me a brownie with a celebratory sparkler in it on the house. My water glass was never empty and we were waited on consistently. Of course, my food was impeccable. I took a photo (a bad one) of some salmon that was cut like butter - I never touched my knife - a half eaten photo of my cheesecake because dinner was so good I forgot about my social media posts, and my celebratory brownie. The service in Barbados is typically above average, but my experience here has raised the bar and spoilt me.

We picked this spot as one of two meals we ate away from our all inclusive resort. We were celebrating 2 anniversaries and we wanted something special without breaking the bank. The prices were reasonable. Great presentation. The food was very good. We also got there before sunset and it was spectacular watching it set. Wait staff was very polite and attentive. One of them even retrieved a tweezer and helped remove a stinger after one of us was strangely stung by a bee. It sure it’s 5 star, but feels more than 4. We would definitely go back.

This was an awesome restaurant to go. The views were amazing as we made reservations 30 minutes before arriving. Upon arrival we were greeted with such friendly staff and outdoor seating along the front edge where the ocean meets us. The perfect views for sunsets which unfortunately this evening there were too many clouds and we weren’t able to see it. The staff was kind polite and super friendly our server Keisha was awesome. We had some appetizers and then main food. Our appy’s were ok I had the salmon tartar it was too much pickled and super salty. Not a favourite. Hubby had the tuna carpaccio which was really good. Son had the crispy fried chicken breast with Mac and cheese and it was awesome. He said it was the best chicken breast he’s ever had. I had the braised beef which was incredibly amazing and so tender. The Demi glacé was amazing to say the least. Hubby had the shell fish broil and he was so happy with this dish. I would highly recommend booking in and making a point to go up and check them out. Thanks for the memories.

This is my favorite restaurant on the island! The sunset views are breathtaking, the service is wonderful, and the food is absolutely amazing. I can’t emphasize enough how much we enjoyed our experience. The coconut bread pudding is the best dessert I’ve ever had... its an absolute must try. I’m already looking forward to coming back!

Just came in here around lunchtime after driving down the coast. Didn’t have reservation but got a table soon enough. We only had some starters and a salad as no one wanted lunch after our heavy breakfast. Everything we ordered was tasty but expensive. Be warned the beers are extremely pricey for just a bottle. Good food, not cheap

Great seafood restaurant with idyllic views, serving great breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. We visited this restaurant almost every day for breakfast during our stay at Little Good Harbour. Breakfast highlights included the Lox Plate (pictured) and Everything Bagel. As for lunch/dinner, I'd particularly recommend the Catch of the Day, and Shellfish Broil (pictured). Staff are charming and attentive, with restaurant overlooking a beautiful private beach. If you're a seafood fan, book yourselves a table!

We had a fantastic meal and experience here. Our serving staff were excellent, friendly and eager to please our every need. Ian is the manager and he was extremely friendly and personable and wanted to do everything in his power to serve us. We had a great time, with great food and service.

This place is unbelievable, highlight of our trip to eat and be relaxed overlooking the beautiful ocean with spectacular food. The staff is so nice and they let us stay awhile after our food was done. Will be coming back again

The best fish burger/cutter you will have on the island. For $20 (Barbados dollar) you can’t go wrong with the double fish cutter with cheese. Grab a drink from neighbouring stores and it’s perfect. You can easily have 2/3 for yourself. Range of sauces for you to use too the best is Bajan pepper sauce. It’s only fish sold here so it’s halal and cash only either Barbados is USA dollars.

Loved it! I was recommended to eat here by multiple people, and I knew I had to check it out before I left. Everyone was right that the cutta is so good. I had a simple fish cutta with cheese, and it was freshly grilled. I added Bajan pepper sauce to mines and it added that extra heat I needed. So good, and he uses marlin in case anyone was wondering what fish. I was lucky that when I went there was no line, so I got in and got out. It started raining heavily and the juice shop next door let me sit under their tent while I waited for the rain to subside. I also tried fresh green apple juice which was so good.

This is the best fish sandwhich that you will have in your entire life! I will have dreams of this fish sandwhich.. no joke.

Overrated. I just had the fish and cheese cutter… meh. I really don’t get the huge fuss. Definitely not with the 45 minute wait in the queue (there is ONE person doing the cooking AND ordering, mental). I’ve had SUCH AMAZING fish meals during my week in Barbados but this was definitely the lamest. Just not that flavourful.

This place is a definite must try. My husband doesn't even like fish and I convinced him to try it and he actually requested we go back the next day. The fish cutter with cheese is amazing!!

Cuzz and his fish stand are incredible. It’s the first stop I make when I’m on the island. Double fish cutter with cheese and load it with the bajan pepper sauce. Grab a banks beer. Sit with tourists and locals. Few things in life are better than that.

Fresh amazing lobsters just by the beach. It's on the pricier side, but worth it, we came here twice. Can be busy in the evenings, booking recommended. Going for the lobster itself rather than other dishes makes sense here.

Lobster Alive is definitely my favourite restaurant on the island. The lobsters couldn’t be fresher and were grilled to perfection. The live jazz band was amazing. We had a fabulous time dining here and will certainly be back again on our next trip to Barbados!

I was finally able to visit Lobster Alive since I usually visit Barbados when it’s closed. I came in a Tuesday night when it just opened in the evening. It was quiet, but did not matter. The service was impeccable, from the front door to the waitresses to the chef asking me to pick my lobster I was fully taken care of and not hovered over. The lobster Thermidor was fabulous. Lived up to my expectations. Loved the look. Sat on the deck and took in the whole view. Loved the decor and jazz music. No one rushed me and I will definitely return.

Lobster Alive, Barbados – Lovely Beachfront Ambience Before leaving the island, I visited Lobster Alive for a solo lunch. Located on the beachfront, the light, beachy decor perfectly matched the vibe. I was warmly greeted by the front-of-house team and my waiter. In a rush, I managed to enjoy a starter, a rich pasta main, and a glass of wine. The food was nice, though I’d try the lobster next time. The calming ambience, with gentle music and stunning beach views, made it a worthwhile experience. The front-of-house team went the extra mile to help me get a cab and navigate traffic quickly to my destination. While I’d happily return, I’d also feel content if I didn’t. Worth a visit for the atmosphere!

Very nice restaurant in Bridgetown Day or night. Live Jazz band on the evening we visited. We sat on the deck which site in between the restaurant and the beach so you get the best of both worlds. You won’t hear the band if you’re on the beach. Well trained and well presented staff who are also pleasant. Large Lobster Thermidor would feed two people!

I went twice, Very nice beachfront restaurant with an enjoyable atmosphere. A jazz band was playing swing, not my taste but they were very good musicians. The service is very attentive. Particularly, the lobster and creme brulee were delicious. Be aware, it is expensive.

Very comfortable ​I had a wonderful and very relaxing stay at The Crane. The location is stunning and a bit more secluded, which we loved. The pools are fantastic, and the beach is magnificent. The rooms are spacious and luxurious well-appointed. The only minor downside is that because it's more remote, you'll rely on the resort's restaurants or need a taxi/car to explore other dining options. Overall, a beautiful property perfect for a tranquil getaway.resort. Spacious

The resort is absolutely amazing. The staff is amazing and extremely helpful. We were always greeted with a good morning/good evening and a smiling face. The reason I didn’t put 5 stars for location is the resort is on the south eastern coast and most of the action is on the south western/western coasts. However, they have a taxi service that can take you anywhere you want to go on the island. The restaurants on site are amazing as well as some very close by. Don't forget to reserve a table though. I highly recommend everyone to stay at this resort and I do plan on coming back.

My therapist was very professional and did an excellent job. The massage was very relaxing with the right amount of pressure applied to ensure a great sensation on my muscles. The ambience was perfect and the room temperature just right.

The Crane Resort in Barbados is the kind of place where the ocean looks like it’s been hand-polished and the breeze feels professionally trained. And when it’s time to trade palm trees for pines, we’ll be right back at our beloved Perfectly Imperfect Cabin in Tennessee where mountain mornings hit different, porch sittin’ is a lifestyle, and stars shine bright enough to make the moon jealous. Different kind of paradise, same kind of peace. 🌄🏝️

The room was amazing and everyone here has been very sweet! The only thing that we were shocked by was that everything was closed on Sundays. Check in took a while, and make sure that you call the crane before flying so that they pick you up at the airport. The taxis can get a little expensive. The food here is amazing, we got a smoothie every morning from the village cafe, our favorite restaurant on property was the Zen. The service was great, they will help schedule taxis for you round trip at a lower cost than getting a taxi yourself. Someone came in every single day to change out towels, do dishes, and make our bed. The only downside to this was location. It is very far away from everything, so anytime we wanted to go somewhere it was a 40+ minute drive. The beach had moss everywhere from the storms, so the crane paid for a shuttle every day while we were here to go to a VERY nice beach with umbrellas and chairs. They also had food and a bar. Overall was absolutely wonderful and will be back for sure.

I would give 4.5 stars if I could. Half of resort had been recently remodeled others previously remodeled but clean and tasteful. Restaurants Zen (ate here twice) and Azure are great with wonderful views of ocean. Both $$$ but you are paying for food and view. Short walk off property Le shack was great as was Cutters. There are no real good breakfast options. You can eat buffet at azure but it’s $50 or walk to cutters which is worth the walk. Beach is very small. This is the windward side of the island so it is rough and windy. The resort does not do a good job of cleaning it up. It is full of sea weed and some trash. The resort does provide free transportation and chairs/umbrellas at a beach club on Carlisle Bay on the days that the resort beach is undesirable. There is a beach bar that has happy hour and this was the only time we would go to resort beach. Oistins fish fry is a money trap. This is advertised as the place where locals hang out and you can see the local culture. We saw 90% tourist and 10 % locals who were just drinking and smoking marijuana. It was mostly street performers dancing to American music. I can see this at home. I would still come back. Just wanted to give some of our experiences. Also bring cash. Many places do not accept credit.

Very nice place to stay! Beautiful view of ocean. But the seaweed made it not a good spot to go into ocean. They offered a shuttle to another beach that was not private and had constant disruptions from natives trying to get us to go on their wave runners!

Local market with a local vibe, local food, local music and much love. Food from Pat's place just the best, great flavours, plenty food cooked right in front of you, get there well before 18.00 to miss the long, long queues. 2 hours wait, was it worth it? Absolutely. Friday night is the night to be visit and enjoy the great music and electric atmosphere.

The was a fantastic experience. A bit pricey but worth the experience. The service was ok. The food was fresh and cooked to order. It was delicious. The beach was nice. The DJ's and entertainment was great. I highly recommend.

Fridays at the fish market things are jumping! Along with the usual booths selling fish dinners with all the fixings there are vendors selling trinkets and souvenirs. We chose to eat at Yvonne's, having the tuna and sword fish. Both were fantastic.

It's not over rated and food didn't live up to expectations. The hygiene standards were poor. But a lot of nice stalls about to souvenir shop. Nice to have a drink at and the beach was lovely.

Plenty of vendors selling delicious Bajan food however almost any dish is available at somewhere sometime. Fish Friday is lively entertaining and a must to any traveller visiting Barbados

It was very busy. For those who really enjoy music and dancing, this is a must. There are some small souvenir stalls where you can find nice and inexpensive souvenirs.

This was our 4th restaurant for dinner on our vacation and it was THE BEST. We met Omar at the door, we didn’t have a reservation but he took amazing care of us and we sat upstairs on the balcony. The service he provided was amazing from start to finish. The rest of the staff was equally kind and helpful. If you have only 1 night to eat out, CK is the place you want to go! Trust me. Tell Omar, I sent you. 💕

Raul, my server made it a memorable night - he was very personable & made great recommendations as everything was absolutely delicious - especially enjoyed the bbq pigtails. The street view seating was perfect for people watching!

This place did not disappoint. The food, service and the atmosphere was EXCELLENT. They had small plates and regular size entrees and everything was delicious. Ty was our host and he was so nice and friendly. All the employees were very friendly and welcoming. YOU must visit this place.

Location is great for sitting outside and people watching,but if it rains you're in trouble i had 2 pineapple juices and chicken pasta...service was great but the menu is limited and no garlic bread on the pasta...would i go again....nope

Yesterday we had dinner at this restaurant that was recommended by the hotel since we had visited other restaurants. Upon arrival we were assigned to the rooftop and were served by a waiter named Omar who was a bit rude and I felt he was a bit biased and somewhat discriminatory. He gave us such a grotesque welcome, rushing us and forcing us to order everything at once when we hadn't even looked at the menu. The table they gave us was not in good condition. I asked him to please change it and he said he couldn't, to which I told him that I would leave because I wouldn't be able to eat like that. He then proceeded to fix it. His attitude was so pedantic that all I wanted to do was leave but I didn't because it was my sister's birthday. He didn't throw water on the table without asking permission. His treatment was in very bad taste. Then we decided to ignore him. Every time I asked something he answered me in a bad way and pretended he didn't understand or hear something. The food was delicious... Then he told us that the kitchen closed at 9 pm when no one told us that. I made the reservation, no one warned me and we made the reservation at 8:30. If it weren't for the food, which was delicious, I would have given them one star. At the end of the night, when "Omar," that's the waiter's name, was ready and happy to leave, he approached us and we spoke to him very kindly, but his treatment of us was horrible. Only because him I gave 2 starts

CK did not disappoint! The food was excellent, delicious mouth-watering goodness. I especially enjoyed the breadfruit appetizer and the seafood curry. The braised oxtail starter and the pulled pork with bajan bakes were also very yummy. The cocktails 🍸were next level. I'll definitely be back.

Loved the veg curry - one of the most flavoursome I have ever had. Chocolate ice cream for pudding.....too many rum punches. Gluten free catered for.

Very friendly service, but all of the food we had (jerk pork spring rolls, beef noodles and chicken curry) were significantly over-sweetened for our taste unfortunately. Prices on the high side too.

After a whole day of running around we got super hungry and started looking for a spot that was actually open on this side of the island. We ended up at Cariba. The vibe there was really rustig, calm and chill, with a nice atmosphere. We got helped right away — the lady who served us was super friendly and made us feel welcome. I went for noodles with chicken and honestly, it was pretty delicious. Can’t remember exactly what my friends ordered (oops 😅) so I just snapped some pics for you to see. All in all, Cariba turned out to be such a nice little gem. If you’re looking for a quiet place to eat, this is it. 🍜✨

Excellent, authentic and rustic restaurant. Warm service, attentive, not too slow, not too quick. Made us feel at ease straight away. Crab cakes, spring rolls and wantons (obvs with a Bajen twist) all excellent starters. Chick and shrimp curries brilliant as was the shrimp stir fry. This place is a bit off the beaten track but worth hunting out.

We went last night and had the catch of the day, veggie curry and the bread pudding. Everything was simply delicious. Flavors are vibrant and representative of the island. If you’re looking for an authentic Caribbean dining experience, Cariba is a great option. Beyond that, as it’s our overall experience on the island, the staff is very warm, and friendly. They provided awesome recommendations, like the bread pudding, which is a most have (with cinnamon ice cream! Thank you guys!

We came here our last night in Barbados and I'm so glad we did! The food was outstanding. The vegetarian curry was absolutely delicious and the desserts are to die for. Our server (I sadly can't remember her name) went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. My little toddler just loved her (and the food). Very kid-friendly place, excellent service, and amazing food. Will definitely be coming back here on our next trip.

We came on a Friday night around 7:30 pm and saw a line forming, so we figured we’d join in, given the hype about this being ‘the best spot.’ Ended up waiting about 1 hour and 15 minutes before finally ordering. We got the swordfish plate with mac pie and coleslaw, and the shrimp with rice, beans, and coleslaw. Honestly, it wasn’t worth the wait. The swordfish plate was good , priced fairly, and came with a generous portion, but waiting over an hour for it? Definitely not. There are plenty of spots in Oistins that could serve something just as good without the long line. The real disappointment was the shrimp. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a photo, but it was just 6 shrimp that were so overcooked they were practically falling apart. It was definitely not what I expected from a place with such a reputation. Overall, it didn’t live up to the hype. There are other spots nearby where you can get a good meal without such a long wait.

The queue can be crazy on Friday’s around 7pm when I was there but it’s totally worth the wait. I tried Mahi-mahi and it tasted amazing and was without any bones. The portions are huge! It was so good I had to come back the following day!

I tried Pat’s fish and it was hands down the best fish I’ve ever had—fresh, perfectly seasoned, and grilled to perfection. The atmosphere was full of energy, with music, dancing, and a great mix of locals and visitors. It was the perfect blend of delicious food and authentic island vibes. Oistins isn’t just about the food—it’s the whole experience. We had a wonderful evening soaking in the culture, chatting with friendly people, and enjoying the lively entertainment. If you’re in Barbados, don’t miss this place—especially Pat’s!

Went to the Friday Oistins Fish Fry and Pat’s Place since it comes out best recommended. Ordered the Dolphin / Mahi Mahi and it was absolutely lovely. The internet didn’t lie ! One pic shows the menu and the Mahi Mahi was BBD 35. Huge portion. I got it with rice and peas and tossed salad (one main one side) which is in the price. My wife had the tossed salad, some rice and some of the fish and it was still really filling. Queue was about 35 mins and we arrived about 6:30pm in the queue after watching the sunset. When we finished queue remained about as long. And August is pretty low season !

Friday nights are always buzzing — definitely worth a visit just to soak up the atmosphere. There’s plenty of noise, music, people, and good vibes all around. Pat’s stall had the longest queue, and for good reason — the fried fish was delicious, and the swordfish was thick and meaty, almost like a steak. Portions were generous, and the service was excellent. The staff were especially thoughtful with families, even moving them to a separate line to make things easier. With so many options available, it’s hard to say how much the food really differs, but the experience alone makes it worthwhile.

Friday lineups are really long for this spot so I didn’t even attempt it the first time I went to the fish fry. I waited for mid-week and the line was WAY more reasonable, maybe 15-20 mins. Ordered the swordfish, Mac pie and coleslaw, hot sauce on the side. 35BBD total. It was perfect - grilled well, generous portion. Highly recommend! Would suggest a weekday so you can avoid the long lineup.

Family lunch yesterday was excellent. No line for a late lunch around 3:30p. We had plates of fried chicken, flying fish and mahi mahi. All were well seasoned and fresh. The mahi mahi fresh off the grill was some of the best we’ve ever had. Staff was nice and the chef on the grill was especially friendly and very conscientious and caring about his grilling. Excellent! (Forgot to get a pic of the mahi mahi but it was a very large portion as was everything.)

The lunch buffet is really good and there is a lot of choice. If you want to have local food, this is the right place. Our host was nice and friendly. It is busy on Sundays, it's better to get a reservation. Last service is at 2.30 pm.

Nice restaurant serving local cuisine. Good friendly service. I assume the food is prepared in a traditional way, but we, having a European taste, didn’t find it delicious. Nevertheless, it was interesting to try.

Brown Sugar; what a little gem. Enjoyed this place a lot. Decor was very nice and the food was great. Service was wonderful. A casual dining experience with a little flair.

Just enjoyed a delicious gluten free buffet lunch at Brown Sugar, and would definitely go back again! It meant so much to be able to try the Island's local dishes in a gluten free version-- made me feel like I wasn't missing out so much! Especially loved the pepper pot, the fish cakes and steamed pudding with gravy.

Went there on a Saturday night, employees very polite and nice. However, as previously mentioned the restaurant is not air conditioned but the washrooms were which is a plus. There were many fans but was very hot still. The food was ok, had the coconut beer shrimp and the seafood medley, the shrimp were huge but the seafood medley was a little disappointing as I was expecting other types of seafood such as clams and mussels as the menu had described instead there was only shrimp and fish. My group had arrived at 6:30pm and it took almost 45 minutes for our appetizers to be served. Our drinks order was wrong however it was corrected. Our waitress also informed us a few items on the menu was not available and service took a very long time. Overall after expecting a better experience I was terribly disappointed.

Beautiful restaurant, friendly staff, varied menu, great drinks. This restaurant has everything going for it except: 1. Some of the meals lack a little flavour. I had the King Prawns they were perfectly seasoned but tried my other friends' meals and they were a little bland. 2. And perhaps what let's it down the most bit could be easily rectified: the presentation of the food is sub-par. For such a beautiful restaurant, I would expect more creative presentation. Due to the above, I couldn't give 5 stars. Saying this, becauae of the other things I enjoyed about the restaurant, I would return.

Ordered the seafood fettuccine, it was quite tasty. Very flavorful, would order again! Also ordered the fruit punch, which was really yummy, it comes frozen, and is somewhat of a mix between a slushy and a smoothie. My rating is low because the rest of my party did not enjoy their food. Did not enjoy the crab cakes as an appetizer. They also did not enjoy the snapper or curry shrimp. Overall, not the tastiest place we've been on the island. Overall, I would recomend the seafood fettuccine, it was delicious (along with the fruit punch). As for the other dishes, mentioned above, I would not recomend.

It’s sad that there isn’t more reviews for this place given that it’s so highly recommended by most people we asked. They were so flavourful, quite large and only $1bd each.

I found this place because of the other reviews. Just do yourself a favour and get some of these fishcakes. It’s $1 BBD each and makes for a very cheap and delicious snack. The fishcakes have a nice crispness, pieces of fish throughout, and a nice spice to them. They fry them up in batches so you may have to wait for a few mins for a fresh batch. Worth it!

A good friend recommended this as a great restaurant with great fresh food, service and views. He wasn't wrong. We booked this for Sunday lunch. From the moment we arrived we were treated so well. Staff were attentive, just the right level of service. Food was exquisite. It was a special afternoon and they certainly made it special. 2 courses for $135 3 courses for $165 and a free glass of sangria. A real treat. They had live music playing, but just at the right level to enjoy it and create a wonderful atmosphere. Decor and ambience was spot on.

This place is truly amazing. We sat near the ocean for dinner and wouldn’t have it any other way. From the appetizers to the dessert, we truly enjoyed Tides. The Bajan fruit punch was also fantastic!! If you are looking for a place to celebrate a birthday or even a dinner date, this is the place to be!

Awesome deliciousness with a view. The 🌊 waves were splashing against the rocks at night. It was a birthday celebration dinner. Drinks were on point. Service was 5 stars ⭐️. Valet was 5 star ⭐️ . The vibes of the atmosphere were perfect.

The whole experience was phenomenal. The food. The service. The ambiance. I tried the fish curry dish and it was hands down the best curry I’ve ever had. It was served in a fresh coconut. The food tasted so fresh and had flavor bursting with every bite. Our server Jeran was so kind and generous. The manager also came to check on us too. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone visiting the island.

As a vegetarian this was my least favorite high end meal we’ve had in Barbados. The options were a cauliflower steak or Thai curry - both pretty uninspiring. I ordered the Thai curry and was asked how spicy I would like it and I said medium. The presentation was great but there was no spice in the dish at all and I would say it was actually a little on the sweet side. My husband had the crab and shrimp cake starter and the sea bass main which were good. If you’re British, don’t order the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. You will be disappointed. The sauce is thick and the pudding stodgy. The brandy snap tuille wasn’t crisp at all and impossible to break. Just tough and bendy. You get much better in your local pub back home. When we were paying the bill we were asked if we’d like to tip which I thought was cheeky given there’s already a 12.5% service charge included. Also, the server made no effort to do anything when I fed back that the dessert was pretty average so why they thought it was ok to ask for a tip is beyond me!

The food was delectable. I had the catch of the day which was mahi mahi and it was so flavorful. The dessert is where they sealed the deal. I ordered Sticky Toffee Pudding- butterscotch sauce, brandy, snap tuile, served with ice cream. OMG! Every bite was sweet and salty, warm yet cold, perfect balance! Then there’s the view. The interior decor of the restaurant is beautiful; the blue is gorgeous especially as it hits against the water. The horizon is so picturesque. Oh it’s a bit pricey but would still recommend, 10/10 for me.

An absolute gem of a place, and so glad we had the opportunity to experience it! We had breakfast, which was great, the service was excellent, and the rum punch is definitely the best we've had, especially with the freshly grated nutmeg on top! It is so easy to find as well as easily accessible. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner too, and can see why the restaurant is as successful as it is! I wish we had more time on the island to go back and experience more of the menu, and of course drink more of their rum punch! All round, amazing! Thank you!

Love the flying fish cutter with macaroni pie And roast chicken cutter. Hands down the best cutter around! Amazing atmosphere, food was incredible and try the rum punch! It's won awards for a reason! The staff are passionate about their establishment! A MUST GO!!!!

A local deli adjacent to Crane Beach and resort in Barbados, Cutters is a local culinary gem. I had the opportunity to eat at Cutters for Brunch and it didn't disappoint. While the menu is well rounded and has a variety of small plates and entrees, the Cutters are a standout. Made with freshly baked Bakan salt bread and filled with a filling of your choice, Cutters are a staple of the island. I had the fried flying fish cutter and it was a perfect encapsulation of the fresh seafood that is present in Barbados. In an area where it is very tempting for visitors to stay on campus at their hotels, Cutters is a great reason to venture out and enjoy the local dining scene.

The owner, Roger, is super friendly and has a lovely shop. The rum punch IS the best rum punch in Barbados, and you can but it in a gallon jug! The food is great and varied. It’s a dog-friendly restaurant area. The decor inside is really cool with a bunch of paper currency from around the world and instruments on the walls.

What a gym of a place! We had read reviews that said it was a great place for breakfast It’s a great place all around. The atmosphere is fabulous, the corks on the wall are such a cute touch. The rum punch is delicious~ complete with freshly grated nutmeg over each glass.. The breakfast burrito to die for, the omelettesbig and filling two people could absolutely share one, and the pancakes are divine. We loved visiting with LaToya, who was our waitress both times. And. we got the pleasure of watching them making their rum punch, fresh, which they also sell by the bottle. Overall, a great experience and we went back, not once but twice.

Glad we got to eat at this cozy place with very well flavored food. Turns out, they do not usually entertain walk ins, but we lucked out due to a cancellation. Ordered the local pumpkin sweet potato soup with a touch of coconut and really enjoyed it. For entrees got - cauliflower steak, well seasoned; fish of the day- king fish, flaky with a side of one of best jasmine coconut rice ! Chicken and fish bao buns - both very good and finally the crème bruleed coconut cheesecake - as a person who loves coconut this was delicious with excellent coconut infusion!! Overall loved this food and is highly recommended!

Nice café if you are in the south coast. Very intimate set-up and I'd recommend the indoor seating with air conditioning but outdoor seating is available as well. The Asian wings are amazing but stay away from the pork/ear dish on the menu. Ok service and drinks.

I was looking for a place to have dinner with a colleague after an intense week of work. We were pointed to Salt. And it was a great choice for a Friday night. The food is tasty and the atmosphere is simple yet super friendly and dynamic. Highly recommended.

Back again for 2025 Would like to see a couple of new choices on the menu as been the same practically since it opened. Still very good. My 2024 visit all very nice apart from my New York strip was chewy Once again visited twice on my latest visit to the island, really enjoyed the New York strip steak! Back on the island and visited Salt twice already . Always a good evenings dining here! Love the wings and bao buns I first discovered Salt last year when they had only been open for 6 months and was blown away by the flavours and attention to detail which goes into to every dish. Owners Lauren and Simon make the perfect team of head chef and front of house in this cozy restaurant. On my return last night to Salt I was happy to see my favourite dishes still on the menu and couldn't resist ordering them again. Asian chicken wings to start and a main of the lamb shank which both didn't disappoint and was delicious, my partner also went for wings but we added a portion on spicy salt fish fritters which was amazing, then her main was the catch if the day (barracuda) bao's which she described as out of this world! I can also recommend the crispy chicken main and pigs ears snack. This restaurant is definitely worth trying, there's a air con inside dining area and a outside seating area. but the wings are a must from the menu. Really established restaurant now with the locals and tourists so please make sure you book to avoid disappointment............ Back again for my second visit in a week! I can now recomend the New York strip ( requested served rare ) and the chicken with mac and cheese skillet 👍

Lovely surprise. The food was filling even my mother who’s very hard to please enjoyed the salad she ordered. I had the mango lemonade which was tasty, and my partner had the pineapple juice which he enjoyed. Overall it was a very pleasant lunch

The food was not the best tasting , the only thing I really enjoyed was the pig ears. I told the waiter that my friend has an allergy to milk and they proceed to give her ranch. Also they put dishes on the table that contained milk. So I would say that they are not allergy friendly but the drinks are to die for. It was my birthday and I was very unhappy with the food.The waiter was very nice though 🫶🏿

I was standing for a while before being acknowledged. Even then it was not very polite. I ordered an all beef roti for $25 dollars and received one of the most pitiful looking rotis I've ever seen thrown together. 1 star for presentation, 1 star for portion size and the taste was nothing to shout about. I would not waste my money here ever again as I did not even feel welcomed.

Food was mid. Too much bone. Service was extremely poor. No hello no greeting. One roti was barely wrapped properly. Sad that something we were looking forward to was such a disappointment: Barbados needs a course on service

Little gem of a place in Barbados that serves pure authentic food. Chicken curry, veg curry etc wrapped in soft roti. So delicious 😋 Also pineapple coleslaw 🤤 and home made fries. Plenty else on the menu. A must eat place !!!

Stopped in for dinner and had the lamb curry. All the food is served to you from a buffet style setup. Food was temperature hot and the curry was tasty. Normal uninspired Barbados service.

A beautiful place to eat, we had a lovely breeze coming through the windows! The ladies are all so kind and friendly too. Wonderful experience for my second time. I had the chicken and veg Roti which is incredible and my partner had the all lamb Roti which had a lot of bones in.

The food was great honestly, I dear to say the best rotis in Barbados. Order the rum punch with your meal you won't be sorry. Friendly nice staff, parking available, kids friendly. Accepts debit cards as well.

7 years ago, we loved it so much, we had to make this one of our visits whilst holidaying in this beautiful country and come back here for some yummy grub! Luckily we still have a few more days here and will go back for some more chicken and Roti. Other half had goat and potato roti and he loved that! True Bajan flavours, we just love it! The restaurant offers rice dishes too and there is a big variety of both, rice and Roti dishes

WHY lemme tell you, fish FRESH and cooked to perfection (as a grouo we had snapper and marlin), salad FRESH & flavorful, PIE tasty cheesy unprocessed and homemade, mash/gravy/rice - APLENTY & packed with FLAVOR! If in the area you should not miss this spot. We will definitely be back and spreading word locally and to guests. For travellers, forget your fancy restaurants and get REAL bajan food here !

Every Thursday is karaoke. Food is excellent, nice bajan food. The staff and owner are very friendly and always have a smile to greet you.

YUM. The fish and macaroni here were so good. We had the red snapper and the dolphin (mahi mahi). I loved this place and the people here were so nice. The music was also great. We went on Thursday and we heard it was going to be super busy but it was actually really quiet and our food was ready in like 10 minutes. We also tried Banks beer at the bar downstairs, which is a local brew and quite good. Totally recommend this place!

Great food, fun atmosphere, good prices. Far from the bustle of the average metropolitan dining location, the Bay Tavern offers a fine choice in small rural dining, as well as a small but raucous party at the Thursday night fish fry events. Would recommend.

Staff is friendly, the view is magnificent as it overlooks the sea. The food is absolutely delicious and the natural juices (my faves) are quite refreshing. The only qualm might be parking as there aren't alot of parking spots directly by the tavern and the roads to get there are quite windy other than that 10/10 would highly recommend 😊

Even though the restaurant has been here for several years, yesterday evening was the first time we went. Boy are mom and I upset with ourselves we didn’t go sooner! Food was excellent, staff is super friendly and just being able to watch the sunset while eating dinner is such a great! And I quote from mom “best marlin I’ve had since we arrived”!

Casper is an amazing hidden gem right on the beach in Barbados! I’ve been here twice, and each time, the food has been excellent. Wonderful location and ambience, and that is to say nothing of the food. The best Bajan fishcakes on the island, wonderful jerk chicken, pizza, panko chicken. Everything wonderfully cooked and served, then washed down with delicious rum punch. The next time we are back in Barbados, this delightful restaurant will be on our first places to go list. Nice location, but the food is decent, long wait and the jerk chicken portion was not too big, just one small peace. Fish cakes looked cute, but didn’t have much fish in it. Can’t say I would return here for lunch, maybe just for drinks. Cash only!

This is a great place to eat and lime. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and is only matched by the great food. Authentic bajan food made well by the owner, it’s like eating my mums home cooking. I really enjoyed my experience here. Good music, good food, good people who have and share local knowledge freely I would highly recommend.

Absolutely loved the dining experience. The restaurant is situated along the beach and has a great variety of food. I tried their vegan burger with fries and salad. They tasted great and fries especially were very good. Highly recommend !

Friendly staff, chill old-school atmosphere and most importantly, amazing delicious food! My husband and I came here as part of our Birdgetown food tour (called Lickrish—highly recommended!) last year, and we wanted to come back for a proper meal so we did! We went for lunch after a morning dip at the Pebbles Beach. We had bbq chicken and lamb, breadfruit (both chopped and mashed), some veggies and mac pie. The food was scrumptious. Fast and friendly service.

Traditional Bajan cafeteria style seving wet macaroni pie, rice and peas(highly recommend), cassava(teenage recommended), and pork. Nice small balcony with seating for people watching. A bit warm sitting inside midday.

Walked for awhile looking for someplace open to grab a bite. Best (and cheapest) meal we've had since we've been on the island in 3 days! Like home cooking with large portions. Don't let the atmosphere fool you.

One of the most famous bars in Barbados if not the Caribbean! Fully stocked beachfront location and, late night eats are always available.

Leaving the high way and making your way on the west coast heading to the north there are plenty stops that the more adventurous persons can enjoy the good old Bajan way.

This is an iconic bar in Barbados for a number of reasons. First, it's a quaint watering hole known locally as a rum shop. The very essence of the rum shop experience happens within these walls. It's not a place to ask for a rum and Coke. It's the type of place to buy a bottle of rum, a bottle of Coke and do it yourself! Secondly, friendly, attentive service that couldn't be faulted. Finally, and probably most importantly to some, is the location. This rum shop sits right on the beach and if you like, you can have a seat on the picnic tables outside or on the beachfront deck, a beautiful place to watch the day go by.

Lovely bar where you come very close to locals. Their views and sunsets are famous for, located right in front of the ocean.! Enjoyed and glad we made it 👍👍

This is a great place where you will see a great sunset and enjoy a rum or beer. But this Bar offers only rum Punch and Rum pure. There not offer any Cocktails or Longdrinks. Thats typical for rumshops. Down this bar is a nice beach.

I've wanted to try this restaurant a while now, since it popped up on my feed on Instagram about two+years ago...so I finally did after attending Carnival day celebrations in the area, which is the route for revellers. This breadfruit bowls concept is a good use of a local indigenous product...which at times is taken for granted and sometimes (wasted) because of it being a bountiful fruit/vegetable and can be prepared in a variety of ways...all being quite delicious. Yelluh Meat...I love the name btw...when this product is roasted, the inside of the breadfruit is a yellow delicious starchy goodness that is filled with any meat/fish...(stew, fried, pickled or even canned) to vegetables with delicious slabs of butter. The restaurant's spin on it is quite popular, flavorful and tasty...the lamb stew choice was delicious and tender and quite filling..not service driven, more like take out. The location is set in a carpark type setup with picnic benches with a laid back vibe, comfortable for an outdoor dining experience, I left feeling quite satisfied and is a definite recommendation.

Really enjoyed the food and loved the breadfruit bowl concept. Service was good and polite. It's tucked back a little off the main road and wasn't what we expected but was definitely worth a visit.

5 stars because it is some of the most unique food on the island; they seasoned the food ( and actually salted well); the service(while a bit slower than we expected)was well recovered when they brought out the side dressings they initially forgot, and did so with kindness. It’s just a great experience. And I’ll definitely go back. The lentil and veggie stew was delicious. I was shocked to find plantain among the eggplant and lentils and soft breadfruit.

Yelluh meat has come up with an exciting, Healthy and damn delicious way to market breadfruit! The food is consistently good and I cannot say whether my 1st or 3rd experience was best - haha! I haven't dined in - don't think I ever will because I'm not a fan of the location but I'll definitely be supporting their business for the foreseeable future. The lamb stew option is by far my favorite!

The breadfruit was very tasty but it wasn't as hot as I would like. It was lukewarm actually. The service was good. The atmosphere can be more appealing.

I had the pigtail bowl from Yelluh Meat. I can't say enough about it! I rate it as high or even better than some of the meals that I had a fine dinning establishments in Barbados. I will definitely be back! 6 star for me

When I visited I looked at the menu and was immediately told that they only had one dish on the menu which was a meat bowl, so I ordered 2. After I paid the lady who took my order said it would be 10 minutes. After 10 minutes I went to collect the food only to be told "it's coming soon". I waited around and after another 10 minutes I asked again when will my food arrived to be just told "Soon". I then again waited for another 10 minutes and could not find anyone at the front desk. They were all in the kitchen, so I opened the door and asked the same lady I saw at the front desk and again she said "Soon". She came out 2 minutes later by then I had enough and I said "Can you please cancel my order and I want a refund" She then looked at another customer and took his order!! I then looked at my receipt and looked at what time my order was placed it was 1.19, 40 minutes ago!! Suddenly the kitchen door flies open and my name was shouted out, they finally had my food! My advice to the owners at Yelluh Meat, please train your front of house staff members to be a little more courteous to your customers and above all be accurate in your food arrival times. Please note, I was not the only one asking about food arrival times. The food was average and the fact that they had no chilled water was ridiculous at Crop Over season.

Well organized and structured. All vendors were respectable. Parking was hell. Meat area is AC, however, the smelled was a little off.

They deal with way too much funny business down there, like if you order 12 lb of fish they short you give you 9lb, you can never see if the fish on the scale really weigh 12lb always short inna real life .

This market is the main facility in Barbados for landing fish. You can get any fish that is known to the island at this location. Prices would vary depending on the time of year, but here is always a good place to purchase your fish.

This is a clean, lively, welcoming and well organized market. The vendors are very friendly and helpful. Kevon is our go-to guy, if it's in season he'll get it for us. Always fresh, high quality fish which can be fileted and broken down to your specifications.

Brady's is right at the roadside as you go through Sixmens. The service is friendly and the customers were a happy mix of locals and tourists. We didn't eat there so no review for food. Unfortunately last year's hurricane stripped the sand away so there's no beach directly behind the bar now, but everyone says the sand will return over time.

We love this place. Malcolm, the owner, never forgets a face! He’s just recently done a bunch of renovations, and the place looks great. We have had great chats with the locals, day after day. Great little beach to snorkel off of, beautiful sunsets. Malcolm’s sister cooks the real deal on the weekends. If you want a chill local place, this is it!

Food was great and the beer was ice cold. Great place to see the sunset over a meal. Food and beer were both good value. Both locals and tourists were enjoying this establishment. Best macaroni pie we had during our trip to Barbados.

Great local bar in Six Men’s. Food available on a Thursday Friday and Saturday well worth a visit as the music is blasting and the rum is flowing. A good mix of locals and tourists. The owner gave us a lift home one night as it was quite a walk back and we were the last in the bar. Thank you Mr Braddy, it was much appreciated!

It doesn't get more authentic than this rum shack on the beach. Malcolm runs his late father's bar and is happy to talk about life in Barbados, whilst his sister cooks plain and absolutely delicious Bajan food out in the open (Fri and Sat eve only I think). Local Food at Local Prices with everything cooked fresh in plain sight including Fish, Pork, Chicken along with salad, chips etc etc. Possibly the coldest drinks on the Barbados West Coast. This burger tent on the St. Lawrence Gap strip quickly became one of my favorite spots during my trip to Barbados. I ordered two burgers—one to enjoy right there and one to save for later—and they were insanely juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Served on toasted salt bread with mayo, barbecue sauce, and coleslaw, each burger was packed with deliciousness. The fresh toppings and soft buns made every bite a real treat. Honestly, I regret not going back for more before I left! It’s a casual, no-frills spot that’s perfect for a quick, satisfying meal. If you’re in the area, trust me, stop by for a burger—you won’t be disappointed! I ate so fast, I didn’t even let the camera eat first 🤣 No pictures, but you’ll just have to trust me on the taste! First time writing a bad review, but it is just to warn others. We went there 4 times. Food is great, but they try to rip off every tourist, that s why they do not have prices on the menu. When we mentioned that we paid 98$ instead of 84$ barbados for 5 burgers, they went mad, shouting. Next time we went they were vindictive and gave us 2 jerk chicken burgers with burnt chicken. Burnt like charcoal-crispy burnt. It s a pitty, we would have gone like every other day.

Hands down the best burgers ever. I can’t visit Barbados without coming down to the gap for a gap burger! Add grilled pineapple to the works and your in heaven I promise! I love love love these burgers and I can’t wait to go back for more!

Drive ( or walk) down st. Lawrence gap and get yourself a WORLD FAMOUS GAP BURGER! If your worried about the calories or salt or carbs, then you've come to the wrong place.

I paid $62 for a chicken sandwich and rice & peas and a fish sandwich with fries. I wanted authentic cuisine, but I was left still hungry and disappointed. The rice didn’t have any peas, the fries were over done and I would have been better off paying just slightly extra for a restaurant meal.

Get the excellent jerk chicken burger, the hamburger is fairly average. Service without a smile, that's for sure, they seemed like they were doing you a favour.

We went on a normal weekday and not much was open but Crystals. We had the swordfish meal with salad and mac n cheese and it was tasty. Nothing super special and the presentation was what you might expect from a fish shack in a fish market. Prices are clearly marked. Make sure you ask for all the prices (including drinks) if not listed. Worth a try.

Went last night, interestingly I noticed few locals ate there. Friendly young lady took our order, the food part took forever to arrive. Asked to pay way before food came. We chased at least 3 times, what seemed like an hour later it was finally brought to our table. Said they were waiting on the swordfish, think someone went out to catch it. My fish was hot, the rest (rice & peas and sweet potato pie) were cold. Can't recommend, choose a place where local people go.

Amazing place to eat fish, we ordered King fish, french fries and salad and everything was really good, the price plus 2 beers 15 usd per person. We saw a live music and everyone very kind. Close to beautiful Harbour.

Just had a rum punch (absent of Rum!) And a beer - cost BBD 20 it was BBD 15 for the punch ! Questioned why it had no rum she said she could put some in as some people didn't like it. We has paid BBD 9 for sam around the corner. Can't recommend

Fish Friday flop! Avoid the temptation of smiley faces to draw you in with promises of amazing food! Go to Yvonne’s .. next door ! Waited almost 2 hours for a barracuda .. which didn’t appear .. it didn’t exist ! Lobster was tasty .. but way too late .. first in the restaurant.. and I left without food ! Big No No !

Friendly and welcoming staff. Sadly the food didn't meet the same standard. Didn't taste fresh, overcooked and poorly seasoned Mahi Mahi. Rum punch to strong.

Service was so slow food was terrible I got shrimp 6 little shrimp that would fit on a table spoon tables not cleared awful place We had tried uncle George and red snapper earlier on our holiday and they were great
