The games and events were great fun and very family-friendly. Review based on my recent stay here at Kodai Resort Hotel, Kodaikanal. Location & Rooms: 3.5/5 It is situated near Coakers Walk & walking distance to Lake which is a great advantage! Also, it is quiet & peaceful if you want to just relax. The rooms are equipped well with all modern furnishing and neatly available amenities. It does look great and Wi-Fi speed is average. Can be improved. Food & Drink: 1/5 I found this resort to be greatly pricy in terms of food. They keep some items Mini Bar in room like Chocolates, Chips, Cool Drinks, etc. But everything is priced 2x or 3X. Worst part is the pricetag will have a resort sticker which I never understood how the government is allowing to keep. It is a proper daylight robbery. Every food ordered is easily 1.5x times the price you would find in a good restaurant in cities like Chennai. Nothing special about the taste. Infact when I ordered Chicken Fried Rice, it hardly had 2-3 small pieces in it. Highly OverPriced at close to ₹400 incl of Taxes. Another worst part is, outside food is not allowed here which everyone you speak to will remind as if it is a sin! I am not sure how it is even legally allowed to keep a policy of no outside food for staying guests! Not everytime you can take your family to dine. Something I hated during my stay. Car Parking: 3/5 Parking is not so great but manageable within the premise. But I was told that front parking is reserved for the T board as they keep ferrying tourists in & out which I didn’t have a problem with. But good part is some cottages do have Parking in front of your room itself. Breakfast: 2.5/5 Regular buffet breakfast serving South Indian, Cereals. Taste is decent. But good part is it has live counter for Dosa, Omlettes. Good fruit options to start with. Definitely not a 4 star breakfast at all. Likes: - Location - Ease of Access - Local & friendly staff - Smooth checkin & checkout - Very well maintained Swimming Pool - Clean Rooms & Bathroom Dislikes: - Un-justifiable overpriced Food Cost - 2x - 3X Chargeable Room snacks over MRP - No choice of cottages of your liking - Maintenance of lawn work in front of room causing significant noise and visual disturbance.

We had a wonderful stay at Kodai Resort! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were truly excellent — from the front desk to the restaurant, entertainment team, and management. They welcomed us every day like family and even knew my son by name. Special mention to Balaji, Vijay, and Ramesh for their kindness and great service. Nevertheless, all the staff were amazing, though we didn’t manage to get everyone’s names. My son had a great time playing carrom, cricket, air hockey, and table tennis in their playroom. The daily campfire is not to be missed — full of laughter and a great way to meet other guests. A lovely, sociable experience overall. Great job, team! 👏

Very courteous and friendly staff. They were ready to help always. We had come for a family get together. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast quality and variety was good. But the quality of service was even better. Though the rooms were close to each other it was quiet. Overall it was a memorable stay. If we decide to visit Kodaikanal we are sure to stay at Kodaikanal resort Hotel again.

The stay was very good, calm & peaceful. The location was perfect in which we can access all the tourist spot between 5-10 kms. Rooms are very clean and good ambience. Kodai Resort is definitely a must-choose place for families! It is located right in the middle of Kodaikanal, making it so convenient to cover all the tourist spots and also easy to get anything nearby. The resort itself is very beautiful, and the support staff were truly amazing — very helpful and friendly, which made our stay even more comfortable. I do have a small suggestion regarding the food served in the room. The taste and quantity can be improved to match the otherwise excellent standards of the resort. Overall, it was a memorable stay, and I would happily recommend Kodai Resort for a wonderful family vacation.

The rooms are very very pricey. I paid almost 10k per day. But the room did not meet expectations for it to be that costly. The room was small. They did not have fan. The hall was small. The mini bar was pricey , infact double the mrp. The walkway to the rooms were quiet smelly most of the times. I would say the rooms did not meet the expectations for the price we pay. The buffer breakfast was best. That was commendable and had a lot of varieties. Lot of food indeed. The room service food was very pricey and was just okayish. Swimming pool was good. The balcony had great view. There is no place to dry clothes. Bathroom is clean and tidy. There is a drier that worked well. The bedroom was very very small. It doesn't resonate with the word 'luxury'. Its just a small cottage. Couples might like it. But with family it will be small. The walkway stairs are too steep finding it difficult for the elders and sick ppl to climb. The service of the staff is excellent. They are polite and humble. The garden is very pretty, the kids play area, the den is amazing. Must say is that the hotel is located in the prime place to cover all the tourist places. Overall i would rate it 6/10.

The service was exceptional throughout our stay — every staff member was polite, attentive, and prompt in their responses. The food was absolutely delicious, and a special thanks to Anjalai, the waitress who helped us with food selections. Her recommendations were spot-on, and the service was quick and efficient every time. Our room was spotless and well maintained thanks to Dinesh.K, the housekeeper, who did an outstanding job. Each day, he made sure everything was clean, neat, and perfectly arranged. Overall, we were extremely impressed by the hospitality, quick response, and attention to detail from the entire team. Tamara, Kodaikanal truly made our trip memorable, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay in Kodaikanal.

We had a wonderful stay at The Tamara Kodai, and a special mention goes to Mr. Ravi who made our trip truly memorable! He guided us through all the major attractions of Kodaikanal — from Kodai Lake to Mayer Point — sharing interesting stories and local history along the way. It was my one of best experience of 5 star property The Tamara Kodai is really appreciated for location, property cleanses, excellent services, I had authentic south Indian food, all type of food varieties was amazing. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Carlton, Kodaikanal. Without a doubt, it is one of the best hotels in the city. Our room offered a breathtaking lakeside view, making the experience even more special. This is one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had recently. I highly recommend it. The rooms have a beautiful view of the lake, and I believe all the rooms will have the same view, which is commendable. The staff is very supportive, polite, and helpful. All the facilities, including the kids’ play area, garden, indoor games area, steam room, and jacuzzi, are in good shape. The boat house is just a few steps away. The food was very good, and again, the service makes the difference. I’ve eaten outside at places like Domino’s and other highly-rated restaurants and cafes in the same area, but I feel the food quality and service here are much better, even though I’m paying a little extra. Internet worked seamlessly. Smart TV so you can login and enjoy your fav. Shows, Everything was spot on. Only 1 thing if I really want to point out something. Buffet options, especially for dinner, are very limited and same everyday considering the price charged for it. I stayed for 4 nights. Thank you and keep it up.

Very Disappointing Experience – Carlton Hotel, Kodaikanal (Booked via Agoda) I had an extremely disappointing experience at Carlton Hotel, Kodaikanal. I had booked a “Super Deluxe” room through Agoda, but upon arrival, the hotel staff insisted that my booking was only for a Standard room. I showed them all the proof from Agoda, yet they refused to acknowledge it. Instead of resolving the issue, the hotel pushed me to call Agoda, while Agoda pushed the blame back to the hotel. Both parties kept shifting responsibility, and as a guest, I was left feeling cheated and helpless. In the end, I was forced to stay in a lower category room than what I had paid for. The behavior of the reception staff was highly unprofessional. They were unhelpful, indifferent, and showed no concern for the customer’s problem. Explaining my issue to them was pointless — they simply stood there without any response or empathy. The food at the hotel was average at best, and the overall atmosphere was far from welcoming. Staff members looked disengaged and unhappy, which added to the poor experience. This entire episode made me lose trust in both Carlton Hotel and Agoda. Customers should not have to suffer because of a lack of accountability between a hotel and a booking platform. I would strongly caution travelers to think twice before booking here. I will not recommend Carlton Hotel, Kodaikanal. Updated: I found another review by another customer in another booking portal - Make My Trip. The customer reported the same fraud by this hotel, Carlton, kodaikanal.

We Stayed at The Carlton, Kodaikanal over a long weekend. Despite being fully booked, the staff were warm, attentive, and ensured a pleasant stay. The location right by the lake is beautiful, and the food and hospitality were excellent. A lovely experience overall.

People going by car from Andhra/ Telangana via Tirupati go via krishangiri dindigul route highway....dont go via salem...route not good.also take e pass for visiting kodaikanal by car in advance.they also check for pollution,insurance,any challans at the check post to kodaikanal.in kodaikanal ghat route certain places the road width is very narrow so look for any heavy vehicles coming from opp direction before going ahead.

5 stars for rooms, service, location, and also their breakfast and dinner spread! Such a marvelous experience staying at Carlton Kodai.. we were there with my in-laws and absolutely loved how the staff took extra care of my FIL (who's physically challenged) to ensure a peaceful stay. This hotel is bang in the middle of the city and all significant tourist spots are under 30mins away.

It was a frustrating and deeply disappointing experience. The staff, especially the receptionist, were unfriendly, making the entire visit unpleasant. Every penny spent felt wasted, and I would never return after such a displeasing encounter.

We had a wonderful stay at Kodai International Hotel after Diwali. The service was excellent and the staff was very helpful. We wanted to make bhel in our room, and they kindly provided a mixing bowl along with free chopped onions and tomatoes. The breakfast was very delicious, and the coffee here is the best in Kodaikanal. Highly recommended! I am from Gujarat and this i found best stay for gujaratis. Staff is very kind.

The rooms are very comfortable, with amenities like a balcony for relaxation, a kettle for tea and coffee, a spacious king-sized bed, and 24/7 hot water in the washroom. As soon we entered into the Kodaikanal, this is the first resort. Location is the added advantage. Rooms are clean and good. Staffs are also polite and cooperative. Morning breakfast is also good. Resort has a Big lawn, Animals, Kids play area, Kids Movie theatre. They arrange for Bonfire, DJ. My kid enjoyed a lot. It was a pleasant stay

Had a wonderful stay with family. Very comfortable and kids friendly place. Booked a family room and received a free upgrade to suite upon checkin. Staff were very friendly throughout. Rooms are spacious but lacked heater by default. Came to know heater is generally offered when asked, only during check out. Because, the room was much colder than the outside. Breakfast was generous with a good spread of South Indian options. Coffee and tea quality can be improved even though these were prepared right in front of us on a counter. There is a small pet zoo inside which is poorly maintained unfortunately. Children park, game options were very good and kids will have fun during the stay. This is a good staycation place indeed. Overall a very good place one can choose closing their eyes. Rates online are pretty expensive. So, better to call the property to book directly.

Kodai international is a huge resort. Has many activities like basketball, badminton, cycling, cricket, and indoor games, play area. They have a huge open lawn. The place keeps both kids and adults engaged. Our kids loved the place. Breakfast and dinner buffet spread was great. The staff were courteous. They also have campfire and DJ music which makes the place more lively. The deluxe room is a bit small for a family of 4, when an extra bed is added. But can be managed. Highly recommend the place.

My experience at HKI was highly positive. The accommodations were well-maintained, and the grounds, particularly the lawn, were exceptionally beautiful. The location proved ideal, offering convenient access to the lake and various points of interest. I would certainly recommend it.

This place added more beauty to our Kodai trip. It's a very good place for couple. The rooms are very well maintained, clean and tidy. Though the is a washroom with in the tent, it is very well seperated/partitioned from the room. There are insect repellents as well in two corners of the tent, so, need not worry and have a peaceful sleep. The food is awesome, the best part is the cook was able to customise the dishes according to our taste. Another good part is that they arranged the food at our tent and we had at our leasure. The manager and the staff were very accomdative, room service was good. No disturbance and we absolutely enjoyed our stay. Someone who is reading this review wants to travel to kodai as couple, you can blindly go for it, it's one of the bests for couple travellers.

this place is a very different experience! The food is extraordinary prepared by chef Parthiban and team! It's very tasty and healthy as it is cooked in homestyle but feels premium We extend our stay to 2 more days because of the food prepared here is very good The staff was very friendly! When we entered the room (which is a tent), there was a nice fragrance and it was an excellent feeling. It was the awesome experience. The room was well maintained. Only disappointing this is in our bathroom water is not draining well but they had a towel to observe the water. Also, we can hear the conversation from the rooms of neighbors during night as it is a tent room They even arranged campfire on request! There is no wifi here but the mobile network signal is very very good here. Have to consider this when you are working online This is a must try place to enjoy during the kodaikanal visit

Excellent ambiance with courteous staff. Food was just awesome. Very quiet place amidst greenery. Tents are well maintained with basic amenities. Looks exactly like how it is showed in the pics. It has its own cons: Too much noise from the vehicles on the adjacent road and the music from a temple nearby annoys in the night as you cant sleep The tents has no noise cancellation. stray dogs in the adjacent property are very aggressive and continue to bark through the day and night. It will be good there is hot water kettle and microwave in the rooms to heat the food as the food gets cold very soon due to the climate.

I have stayed in the resort for three days ( 2 Night) with my wife and 3 kids and it was a wonderful experience Tent was excellent , ambience is so good.almost the things are similar to what they have shown in. the photos. Room is spacious Neat and clean Toilet are also furnished with modern amenities. Regarding staff everyone is polite and friendly Also they have cab facility for pick and drop.moreover the cab driver Xavier will provide clear idea about the places to visit and anything we need he Will arrange..his service is really appreciated. Cons: Food is costly Need some minor maintenance here and there in tents. Excellent Resort, located a little far away from the town centre but thats what keeps it secluded and away from all the noises. The tents are surrounded with lush green flowers and plants which provides a serence feel. All the staff members were courteous and made sure we had a wonderful stay at the Creek. Even though there was heavy rainfall during our stay , the tents were Holding good and no leaks. The Food & Room Service was excellent. All Basic amenities were provided. Special thanks to Chef Parthibhan who went the extra mile to arrange a Candle Light dinner for us. Would definitely recommend this place if you want to have a Cozy stay in Kodaikanal.

They really want you to have a pleasant and memorable stay. A genuine bunch of people who care about guests. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a place to stay in kodai. Booked through Club Mahindra, check in service is smooth! Staffs are welcoming. Since it's CM affiliated and we are with travelling with infant, We clarified about all meals and other inclusions. However that part was bit of letdown. Seems staff at restaurant was not informed, have been told different things by different staff. This wasn't expected since we have been staying with CM and CM affiliated for quite a few years now. Apart from that, staffs are welcoming and good service at restaurant. Food is scrumptious. Room was good size but it should have make it more spacious STU type. Drainage in bathroom needs improvement. Overall good stay!

We had a weekend holiday at Le Poshe Hotel as it was one of affiliated Hotel to Club Mahindra. The check-in process was very fast were I appreciate Ms Kim helping us out to move in fast. They also upgraded us to the Studio room for the first two days of our stay and we truly appreciate their determination to make the their guest happy. The food was good and did have in room dining, also at their restaurant and cafe and final night we also enjoyed their buffet. Mr. Ashok helped us with the buffet explaining us all the dishes. Also another lady staff helped us all days with our orders and took care of extra food being sent to our room. The gentleman who conducted the activity was very active and it was a fun time. The cleaning staff is also very good and prompt. I am sorry that I forgot some names. Kids were happy as all their needs were attended promptly and the activity rooms had some timepass board games, UNO, table tennis etc.. Table tennis is in the basement near the cafe. Overall we had a wonderful time.

We had a fantastic vacation at this property. The rooms are comfortable and the gardens are beautiful. Location is good and views are beautiful. Weather was so nice during our stay. Food is also tasty and they had a lot of variety. But most importantly I would like to mention is about their super supportimg staff. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. Everyone tries to go extra mile to make you comfortable and fulfill your requests. They were really flexible with our requirements regarding food because of the dietary restrictions. They made our vacation special. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

We have sent the vehicle from our company with great difficulty. We have to stay here for three days. There is no adequate bathroom facility for the driver. There is no water in the bathroom. The bathroom was not cleaned. The toilet was very, very bad. I don't know how they gave the license to run this lab poshe fort. It would be great if both the Minister of Health and the Minister of Tourism could visit. Thank you. Long live Tamil. Long live Tamil Nadu.

A wonderful 5 star stay in 3 star price. The property is huge, very well maintained. It takes a whole day to fully explore the place. The food is superb. Also the service is excellent. The staff are very polite. Good breakfast spread. Easily accessible via car. And you have parking space for car also. The vibe and feel is at per with international resorts. I feel its a great spot for recreating famous mystry or romantic novels.

Damn..!! We enjoyed our stay here. You have nice activities inside the property. Clean food and atmosphere. I assure that you wont get any digestive problem because of food. Extremely worth the price..!!

I had a very pleasant stay at Le Poshe, Kodaikanal. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and hassle-free, and there’s ample parking space available, which was convenient. The property is located around 3 km from Kodaikanal town, but the peaceful surroundings make it worth it. During checkout, I noticed that certain payment options like Amex cards weren’t accepted, but that wasn’t a major issue. Overall, it was a great stay and a wonderful experience — highly recommended!

The entire property is good. But something was lacking vs a club Mahindra Virajpet property. Food was better than a club Mahindra resort. Location is good, but not to call it as a lake view. We can’t see any lake from our room. Vibe was not there, may be we are too much used for a better vibe elsewhere. Amenities was okish, but could add few more activities. Except for the food quality which was better than other locations, other amenities are ok in comparison to a normal resort.

Stayed here for 2 nights. During checkout, one of my bags was misplaced by the service staff. When I called to enquire, I was asked to wait for 10 minutes for a callback — but even after calling twice more, I got the same response. Fortunately, I was still nearby and went back to collect it myself. There was no follow-up from their side even after that. It felt like the service staff were more focused on getting tips rather than doing their job sincerely and responsibly. On the positive side, the restaurant is excellent, and the entire team there maintains a very high standard of hospitality. Kids play area is also good.

We visited Sterling Kodai Lake again after 10 long years and our experience was splendid and spectacular once again !!! We would like to show our gratitude by thanking the following people who made our stay welcoming, memorable and comfortable. Mr Nagaraj and Mr Junkar for making the perfect itenary for the local sight seeing and helping us cover all the wonders of Kodaikanal. The evenings were made perfect and entertaining by organising fun filled activities. Special thanks to Miss Bandana and Mr Samrat for being so hospitable and making us taste all the wonderful delicacies in the Lake View Restaurant. Last but not the least a heartfelt thanks to Miss Punam and Mr Subu from the house keeping department for tiding our room and making our bed and washrooms so very clean which helped us in relaxing and rejuvenating after returning from a tired day. Had an amazing time at Sterling Kodai Lake Resort! The place is super peaceful and the view around the lake is just beautiful. The room was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. Big thanks to Mr. Madasamy from room service — he was so kind and helpful the whole time, really made our stay extra comfortable. Totally loved the experience and would love to visit again!

** AVOID. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND VACATION IN THIS RESORT** One of the most overrated resort in kodaikanal. Far from lake, in the corner without any view. Location is quite secluded without any tranquility. There is hardly enough staff to maintain the resort and take care of guests. Service is sub standard. Food is worse and the whole serving part gives you a road side dhaba vibe and not a 5-star resort feeling. They use paper container and wooden cutlery which is of poor and sub standard quality. Food is so tasteless that the whole charm of sumptuous meal will go away after few bites. Rooms are old and in shaby state. No AC and bed for extra guest is given on the floor without blanket or quilt. Bathroom stinks and they don't refill the toiletries. They are looting people in the name of 5star resort which is hardly 3 star.

Had a pleasant stay at Sterling Kodai lake. Good service, good breakfast buffet. The rooms are pretty standard and unfortunately for us, there was some construction going on due to which we had no view outside our window. Another downside was the unavailability of a proper parking space inside the hotel which somehow escaped our notice while booking. The car had to be parked outside the gate and I believe we got a spot since it was off season. The hotel is quite near to the lake which is quite convenient and perhaps thus justifies the price.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Not a Resort by Any Standard. This was one of the worst holiday stays I’ve ever had. The place calls itself a resort, but there's nothing resort-like about it. It doesn't even match the quality of a decent budget hotel. There was no maintenance in the rooms — peeling paint, broken fixtures, and an overall neglected feel. No almirah/wardrobe provided to keep clothes, which was very inconvenient for a multi-day stay. The bathroom was in terrible condition, with poor hygiene and basic fittings either broken or rusted. On top of that, the service was extremely poor, and the electric kettle in the room was not working properly and it was smelling. Overall, this stay was a complete letdown. I would not recommend it to anyone unless they make some serious improvements in cleanliness, room quality, and overall service.

One of the best budget stays at Kodai. Around 4-5 Km from Town . What we liked 1) Location a little far from Kodai Town at 4-5 Km , but peaceful and calm atmosphere. 2) Near and spacious room+ bathrooms with round the clock hot water availability. 3) Good old buglow which you can explore. 4) Nice foods + Good options. 5) Very helpful staff. 6) Ample space to park your cars or vehicles Overall a 9/10.

Great location, average rooms, but spacious. Food is very average. Services from staff and restuarant guys are excellent, however front office staff can be more responsible. Good place for kids to have fun with lot of indoor and outdoor activities. Property requires to be remodeled and refurbished. Quality of food need to be improved by a long means. If both happens, an unforgettable experience.

Horrible experience with This was the worst travel experience of our lives. Our entire family ended up with serious food poisoning after eating the resort’s food — vomiting, diarrhea, gas, and unbearable discomfort. We had to spend the rest of our vacation sick and in bed, dealing with medication and health issues instead of enjoying time together. The food was absolutely unhygienic and inedible. What they serve has nothing to do with the pictures shown online — it’s all misleading. The place is filthy, the service is careless. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It has ruined our vacation and left a bitter taste in our mouths — literally and emotionally. This place should not even be operational if it can’t ensure basic food safety. Avoid at all costs. You deserve better.

The property is really beautiful and the rooms are warm and comfortable. The location of the property is close to few tourist spots. The property has lots of space within to relax and have a good time to spent with our family. The price is bit on upper side, they provide dinner and breakfast with the price but sadly both of them were disappointing specially the dinner. But the stay and the property itself covered the bad experience in food. I would highly recommend this place if you are not really looking for a budget stay.

Don’t be misled by the high ratings — the only appealing aspect of this property is its scenic location. We had booked a 3-night stay but decided to leave after the second night due to multiple issues: Staff was rude and unprofessional. Complimentary breakfast and dinner were poorly prepared. One staff member denied complimentary dosa from the live counter, calling it chargeable, but the manager later confirmed it was free — highly unprofessional. The complimentary water bottles were filthy, with visible moss inside. Upon complaint, they replaced it with even worse — murky water in used 5-litre Bisleri bottles. Rooms had a persistent foul smell. Beds were uncomfortable, and the pillows were so hard they caused neck pain. Wardrobes had visible fungus. We paid ₹24,000 for 3 nights but left early due to these unacceptable conditions. Not worth the money or the hassle. Addition - we are hit by a stomach infection after reaching home, most probably from the contaminated water

Resort has lot of space, big rooms, friendly staff, very green and quiet. The General Manager Mr. Arul sir attended us and helped us very much. We had to vacate a day early since the food did not suit us. There was a food poisoning issue when we stayed, many vomited.

The view and scenary from this place is awesome. The sorroundings has got some nice plantations. The rooms are fine. Suitable for family stay. Breakfast was okay. The staff was friendly. The location is almost 2 km from the city. But the site is peaceful. The road to the resort is not bad you can go by car itself.

Great views from rooms, but everything else is a downhill from there. Service is non existent, food is bad, breakfast is very limited and bland. Staff cannot speak any language other than Tamil. And to top it all, the road to the hotel is narrow with a steep ravine on one side and unlit at night

I visited Mandarmoni on 27th May 2016 .This hotel isn't upto the mark .Floor & rooms are n't cleared properly .I visited Mondarmoni couple of times before too but here food rate is too high . Most dangerous is d swimming pool ,with high chlorine, we all including our babies got extremely effected with skin problems .

Had a fantastic stay here for 3 nights. We had a beautiful time enjoying the pleasant weather and the ambience of the garden was awesome. The rooms were small, but sufficient. Overall loved our stay there. They have a playroom to spend our time. Kids will love to run around. Also, night campfire before the dinner time was enjoyable. This is my third stay at this hotel, and the service has been consistently lovely. The food is tasty, though with limited options. The weather is quite chilly compared to nearby areas since it’s located in a valley. Rooms are comfortable and well-kept. The hotel sits a bit down the hill, and private transport is the main way to reach it. Overall, a great place for a peaceful stay!

Country Club Valley Vista is located quite far from the city center and main attractions of Kodaikanal. If the primary plan is to rest and relax inside the resort, this place might work, but it is definitely not ideal for travelers wanting to explore or do daily sightseeing. The resort is about 6 to 8 kilometers downhill from Kodai city, and the main road connecting it to the city is notorious for heavy traffic. This caused significant disruption to our itinerary, with two days of sightseeing largely ruined due to long traffic jams. We covered fewer places than expected and returned to the resort late at night. For anyone planning to explore Kodaikanal daily, this is not a convenient location and should be avoided. The resort itself is quite small and offers very limited recreational facilities, unlike larger resorts in the area. It is more suited for guests who prefer to stay indoors and rest rather than needing extensive outdoor activities or entertainment options. The in-house restaurant’s menu was very limited and overpriced. Around the resort, there are no other dining options, so the resort takes full advantage of this monopoly by charging premium rates. For example, even a small portion of plain white rice costs over ₹150 plus tax. We ended up paying nearly ₹700 per person for a simple meal consisting of rice and chicken curry. Unfortunately, there are no alternative eateries nearby, so guests must pay these high prices if they want to eat on-site. Overall, due to its remote location, heavy traffic issues, limited facilities, and expensive food options, I do not recommend Country Club Valley Vista for anyone looking to enjoy Kodaikanal fully. The resort does not offer the outdoor facilities and ease of access that one expects from a true resort experience. It is neither ideal for sightseeing nor suitable for a relaxed, activity-filled holiday.

We stayed for 2 nights at Kodaikanal Country Club and had a very poor experience. The first night the room smelled like sewage, sheets and towels were unclean, and Wi-Fi didn’t work at all. Even after escalation, the replacement room had issues (kettle not working). The place is not kids-friendly either—there were no basic amenities like a stool or even toilet tissues. We had to keep calling reception for essentials, and our concerns were not taken seriously. The only positive was the good food at the attached restaurant. Overall, very disappointing stay and would not return.

Staff directed me to park in a spot that resulted in damage to my car's front bumper. When I attempted to address this issue, I discovered there is no management contact number available - whether this is an oversight or deliberate is unclear, but either way it's unacceptable. I cannot recommend this establishment. Any business that causes property damage and then provides no way to contact management for resolution demonstrates a fundamental lack of accountability and customer service. Potential customers should be aware that if something goes wrong, you will have no recourse.

V (a group of 20 people - families& friends) stayed from 26-9-25 to 29-09-25, Really v enjoyed our stay felt like a " a home away from HOME".. Location ..near to Coaker's Walk, Bryant Park & lake.. just 100Mtrs from bus station, but in a calm atmosphere. Rooms r very neat & clean.. Service- very good..friendly. Food- fantastic homily foods.. V had complimentary breakfast, lunch & dinner in our entire stay.. Simply delicious. Again definitively v will stay here only.

This location is situated in the heart of Kodaikanal. We can easily reach key attractions such as Bryant Park, the Lake, Coaker's Walk, Daily Fresh Bakery, Astoria Veg, the Bus Stop, Danish Gift Shop, and Macofa Chocolate Factory on foot. The only downside is that if you have a car, traffic can be heavy, and maneuvering out of the noisy road can be quite difficult. Therefore, planning your stay during weekdays will make things much easier. The reception staff were warm and welcoming. They graciously extended our checkout time by 90 minutes during the busy season, which we greatly appreciated. The complimentary breakfast is excellent and very satisfying.

Had a wonderful stay at Yagappa Heritage resort. The staffs were courteous. Excellent location just next to coakers walk. Room was good, toilets were newly renovated. Camp fire setup was good with music. In room dining experience was top notch and quick. Overall everything was good about this resort. Highly recommend this place.

Worst place. Management is not fit to run a hotel business. The linens and cleanliness of the room are not up to the mark. No parking for vehicles. No water, heaters, or comforters were provided in the room. Never recommend anyone for the stay. I booked Popsy Hotel, and at the very last moment, they asked me to stay at this hotel. Recently, we visited Kodaikanal. During our stay, we lodged at Western Valley Home Stays. We had a pleasant experience staying there with a group of 8 people in 2 rooms. The rooms were well-maintained and spacious, with 2 separate beds in each room and all amenities. They also had a play area upstairs. The only downside was that we had to walk a short distance to reach nearby hotels. Overall, we had a good experience staying at this property.

The view from the dining area is really beautiful. The breakfast is also pretty good. But when it comes to overall quality of the stay, the cleanliness, the room quality, the sheets, it's not excellent, just manageable I would say. Service is on time. A true 150 year old colonial Bungalow at a prime location near Coaker's Walk has been renovated beautifully and transformed into cute hotel overlooking the valley. Excellent service by the staff and reasonably good food. The garden and lawn overlooking the valley has been well maintained and adds to the pleasant experience.

Rooms are okiesh... but lighting has to be improved it's very dull lighting in rooms. It's in prime location of kodaikanal, after 7 pm entire villa looks like hunted house just because it's poor lighting inside and outside of villa If you're booking for the view 🪟 go for balcony view rooms, you'll get balcony view rooms but it's very costly than normal rooms for a night! (TBH it's not worthy) Make sure you check in exactly on time - they'll ask you to checkout sharp at 10 am to 11 am no matter how late you checked in Staffs are very professional and polite, food is good in taste, but they don't have wide range of menu. It was a wonderful experience at The Peak Resort. We had a great time. The Very First Thing To tell about this resort is it's view. Whether it is Sunrise or Sunset We can just sit and enjoy that beautiful scenery. Still I remember the time I spent by the sunset time with a cup of tea. And Each and every staff member was very kind. In addition The guy Tamizh was very very kind and humble, whenever we need something we can reach out to him and he will help us no matter what. The food they have provided feels like a home. Wherever we go in the day time we'll return back asap to have dinner in the resort. I'm not that impressed with their restaurant ambience but the food they have provided is making us forget it. The only thing they can improve is the kettle for each room. Even though they're giving hot water when we ask, But if we had a kettle in our room it would be more useful. I strongly recommend this resort for their Place, Food & Room Services.

We stayed 18/8/25 in this resort, No water heating kettle in room every time call and ask for hot water they will give in a jug not in flask.. it will gets cold in half and hour, in bathroom hot shower as timing 6 to 9 rest of time we can't use bathroom bco water was so chill we can't keep our feet down, they have restaurant but cook will come and open the kitchen by 7:30pm, if we hungry also we should wait till there time, As a Guest we need comfortable, we not came to stay in your comfortable I strongly not recommed this resort to anyone

A good budget property which has 15 rooms in total falling under 3 different categories. The location is the selling point as you have a lovely view of lush green mountains and a mesmerizing sunset. Rooms are okay and food variety can increase a little. Overall it's quite good experience and the approach road to property is bit steep, so make sure you know your driving.

One of the best experience at Kodai with family we enjoyed a lot, and there are some breathtaking viewpoints, which where pleasant locations with a very nice breeze at the top of the mountain stop the viewpoints are awesome. The view from the room to the valley is awesome. You did not go to any of the sightseeing. If you’re staying for one complete day there the experience itself is awesome. Food is OK not so good. The room service was very good even I forgot the bag while returning back to Chennai, the caretakers took the responsibility of returning it to me through Courier with a very reasonable charges. I really appreciate the ownership and hospitality of the management. Definitely this is must visit. Please don’t look after the money or anything. The service is very good

I have my own travel agency.This hotel company had set up a stall at our association. I booked this room based on the review they gave me. This room is not even worth the money paid. The statement they gave me when I booked the room was different from the room they gave me.They gave me this room as a suite room.This is what I couldn't even digest. I think the people have never seen a suit room before.The another worst thing is when we went to the restaurant and they bring us something else, we ordered. Overall, it was a waste of money and a really bad day for me. And I have given the same review to our tours and travels Association.

I stayed at this hotel recently and reached around 9 PM. The approach to the property was quite difficult – it’s a steep slope with no street lights, which makes it unsafe and challenging to drive, especially at night. The location is also very isolated, so I wouldn’t recommend it for families with kids. The mobile network was very weak in the area. Though WiFi was available, there was no active internet connection during my stay. I had requested them multiple times to recharge it, but it wasn’t done until I checked out the next day. The cottage was not properly cleaned, possibly because mine was a last-minute booking. Another issue was that I wasn’t provided with a key to lock the front door, which felt uncomfortable from a safety perspective. Overall, the stay didn’t feel safe or convenient for families. The management definitely needs to improve in terms of location safety, cleanliness, and basic amenities like WiFi and security. It would also be much better if proper lighting is provided on the way to the property.

Stayed for 4nights with my wife. Spacious and clean room. Co-operative staff, good food. Some maintenance work required like door lock not working, cupboard door not closing, tea maker kettle lid open. 2km road is challenging. All online agent and hotels in Kodai should mention in website that epass is mandatory to enter kodai and plastic water bottle not allowed. Fine of rs 20 per bottle.

We stayed in the heritage part of the property, which features modernized vintage rooms. The room had a lovely anteroom with a separate door leading to the garden area — a pleasant surprise that added to the charm and coziness of our stay. It was nice to explore the property and its facilities. They have a small but well-maintained pool (not a temperature controlled one) and a shed for indoor games, including a table tennis table. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. What makes the experience even more delightful is the warm, attentive attitude of the staff — each and every one of them.

Dirty bedding, hairs, lipsticks, soiled.. shabby... Monumental mismanagement. You might say, "You get what you pay for". But come on... This is 2025, users deserve better hygiene conditions.

Easily accesible to coakers walk,lake and bus stand. I will suggest this rooms are ok for friends and bachelor groups. Not advisible for family and smell is bad due to room are presents in under ground.

We stayed here and the rooms were good 👍 The staff there were very helpful and friendly... They have a small restaurant. The food is very good like biryani, not expensive but the behavior of the staff surprised me. He is very helpful in defining the taste of the food etc... Once he made me a chicken chettinad gravy and its taste....I will never forget it. If my family and I go to Kodaikanal, we will only use this one hotel...you should also try it......♥️♥️

We stayed at Mount Pleasant for three nights. Felt like we are at our friend’s or relative’s place. I would call this place home away from home. It is pet friendly too. Even though they have carpeted floors, pets are allowed and they are maintaining it so well. The staff are all friendly. Najmal uncle and Marium aunty makes the stay at their place special with their warmth and love.

If you are prioritising privacy, tasty food etc then you may prefer this independent property. Property has 9 cottages/villas. Few cottages are 1 bed room single floor and few are 2 floor cottages having 1 bed room each in each floor. It's similar to living in a compact studio apartment. Pros: Privacy, location, independent cottage, clean rooms, friendly staffs, suitable for family/ couples/ bachelor's, good food, well washed pillows and bed, clean & hygiene plates/food etc. Kettle available for making tea. Cons: very overpriced food menu (Normal dinner and breakfast for 4 adults were charged around 2000rs) , only well advance pre-ordered food will be served, limited network connectiom (Jio, BSNL working), TV Available but dish not activated hence was of no use( Non- Android TV) , seems like maintenance were not periodically done on the cottages, in our room bathroom bulb were not working due to electric wire bug, some dampness spots in wall and wall painting are a bit old. Overall an okay okay property for the price. We were charged 6000 for 2 floor cottage for 4 members during weekend. Much better than overpriced resorts/hotels in kodai.

We, a group of 35 members, stayed in this resort on May 2nd and 3rd. Everyone had a very comfortable stay. The manager was so helpful and made our stay very comfortable and also the working staff were awesome. We had our dinning 3 times a day, which was really homely. I would recommend staying here and that would definitely be a good choice.

Had a great experience staying at 16degree resort. Rooms are very neat and clean. Food is being home made. Resort has 9 individual 1floor house. So the only thing is you might need to order for your food before hand as they get everything and prepare based on request. Location, Rooms and Food was very good. Good for family stays as well.

I stayed at this place for 4 nights and 5 days with two senior citizens and 3 kids(1 year, 5, 7) and my relatives. We took the villa house 8 which had a spacious single bed ground floor and two spacious two double bed rooms in first floor. We had a pleasant, peaceful, safe stay here. Rooms, bed and bathroom were very clean and well maintained. Food prepared at this place is very good, don't miss out the special idly. Our balcony was overlooking the vilpatti village and views were a treat to the eyes. Service was also very good. Kids enjoyed the stay and were taken special care in terms of packing lunch for kids when we went to places like mannavannur, poombarai and Berijam lake where no good veg good options are available. Owner and manager of this place Mr Kannan is very humble and knowledgeable person who knows everything about this place. We were also arranged a special darshan to poombarai murugan temple with special prasadam which was a blessing for us. The place was very quite and I would recommend this place if u want to unwind from the busy routine city life. Last but not the least, if u want to travel to kodai, call Mr Kannan and he will arrange everything for you including the cab service which was outstanding.

We were a family of 6 people stayed in the resort from April 29 to May 01, I must say it's a fantastic stay in the resort. Nice ambience, awesome climate, nice stay Room service was awesome, rooms were very clean and spacious with individual parking lots. The staffs were extremely friendly and supportive. Morning breakfast was the highlight of all, it was very tasty and nice. Quality of the food was so nice. I would recommend this place for all types of travellers planning their stay in Kodaikanal!!

Rooms are clean, service is average. The reception people are rude n cold! But the service guy Mr.Mehtab is quite okayish. The view from Balcony room is beautiful! They charge 1800₹ for standard rooms without balcony and 2400₹ for balcony rooms but this is too much in compared to other hotels. Even in off season they charge too much!! It's better to book online beforehand. The hot water timings are there and you'll get it only for 1 hr 30 min in morning and evening also...rest all day you'll have to use ice cold water only 🥶 There's no restaurant in hotel so you'll have to walk around 300-400mtr for even breakfast. The hotel is nearby to Coakers walk so you can visit it anytime you want till 6-7 pm. Also the surrounding area gets totally silent around 8-9 pm so it's better to complete your dinner before that! The street heading to Main city road has a bar and many drunkards roam over the road at night so better avoid that road after 8-9 pm.

We had a wonderful stay here for 10 days. The manager was politer and caters to all our requirements like hot water, drinking water. The rooms were very clean and tidy. It is very close to croakers walk and all other destinations are walkable. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for best budget room.

The location of this property is incredible. Our host Mr. Kamal was there to greet us. He is the nicest host and goes out of his way to make your stay special. He had the finest recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing. The rooms although not very big, are homey and clean. Everything we needed was provided. I would highly recommend a stay at The Valley View to anyone visiting Kodaikanal. It was like being in the house of friends. Thank you very much.. Mr. Kamal & Saadat!
