Odia restaurant
Dalma is a charming restaurant in Bhubaneswar, offering traditional and mildly spiced meat and vegetable dishes from the Odisha state. The homely ambiance and traditional artwork create a cozy setting for enjoying authentic Odia cuisine, including specialties like dalma and pakhala bhaat. Guests can savor these regional delicacies while seated cross-legged on Sambalpuri textiles, accompanied by the soothing strains of Odissi music.
One of the recommended places by my friend and even the internet searches was this restaurant. We were two; one vegetarian and one non vegetarian. We ordered one special thali as she wanted to try the chenna tarkari and i ordered crab curry. Crab curry: 4.5/5 Excellent fresh crab. I wasn't expecting such delicious crab to be served. The curry had nice flavour which was also unique. I had this with rice. Two people can share one curry. A lot of curry was left at the end. Highly recommended. Special vegetarian thali 3.5/5 The assortment of food was excellent. So much variety and throughout our orissa trip, this had the most authentic taste. What's the catch? Well, it had terrible wait time for the food; atleast 30-40 mins! Was it worth.. hmm that's a tough question. But i would say it was worth the wait. Highly recommended!

"A simple restaurant serving traditional Odia cuisine with quite a few food options in vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian and impressive portion sizes. Hospitality is pretty good and pricing is good/affordable as well." Food: We tried their Dalma (with roti), Dahi Pakhala Non-Vegetarian and Vegetarian Platter, Rasabali, Chhena Jhili, Chhena Poda, and Chhena Chakta. Dalma: The restaurant is named after this dish. Dalma is a simple and comforting dish. Essentially nothing but dal and vegetables curry (pumpkin, brinjal, etc.). Had with roti/rice. Dahi Pakhala Non-Vegetarian Thali: Very satisfying, comforting, and filling. Best had in summers. We get fermented curd rice and various accompaniments/side dishes such as mashed potatoes, sweet dates chutney, fish/prawn fry (delicious), saag (leafy vegetables), aloo and drumsticks in mustard paste and oil (sharp, pungent, and interesting flavours), and badi chura (crumbled fried lentils dumpling). Brilliant side dishes, each one of them goes great with fermented curd rice. Rasabali: Chhena soaked in milk, soft and nice Chhena patties in sweetened milk. Pretty good. Chenna Poda: Burnt but soft Chhena cake (burnt cheese/paneer). Chhena Jhili: Fried Chhena in sugar syrup (like gulab jamun but made of chhena instead). Chhena Chakta: I was told it was made of chhena as well. Almost like kheer. Service: Very good hospitality. One of the staff members patiently helped us with the menu. Ambience: Simple, minimalistic, and air conditioned. Gets the job done. Could get a seat easily. Overall, a great place in Bhubaneswar to try out traditional/native Odia thalis, Dahi Pakhala, desserts, and other such delicacies!
Akilan S — Google review
Food - 3/5 We ordered Special Thali(Veg), Chingudi Rai, and Pomfret Tawa Fry. Special Thali had lots of side dishes. It was average but a few dishes in the thali were really good - namely Bitter Gourd Fry, Elephant's Apple Curry and a curry made with Vada (dunno about the name). The rest of the dishes were okay and not so special. Chingudi Rai Curry was underwhelming for a 350 INR food item. Pomfret Tawa Fry was delicious. Plain Rice was charged extra so it felt atrocious. Service - 4/5 Server was polite and attentive. Him knowing a bit of Hindi with medium fluency helped the case a lot. The servers were attentive to refill request. Atmosphere - 3.5/5 The ACs were not that efficient and room temperature was a bit warmer in the humid weather of Bhubaneswar. The basins of the restaurant felt a bit dirty. Summary - 3.5/5 We had our first meal in the state of Odisha here. The authenticity in the Odia meals were felt in the dishes served. Although I have a strong hunch that there might be better options as compared to Dalma. But I ai believe the food is good if you are okay with low oil and less masala food items. Almost like a homely food.

Non veg pakhala thali is all you ever wanted in this summer bbsr days and well, u got the perfect place for lunch. Mouthwatering chingudi macha bhaja aau amba khata best. Must try place in bbsr if you ever wanted to taste why odias are so in love with pakhala. Taste it here you will never regret.

Dalma Restaurant – A True Taste of Odisha! If you're craving authentic Odia cuisine, Dalma Restaurant delivers an unforgettable local experience. The prawn dish was rich and perfectly spiced, the mutton liver—an absolute delicacy—was cooked to perfection, and the pomfret tawa fry brought out bold coastal flavors. Every bite felt like home-cooked tradition on a plate. Highly recommended for those who want to savor real Odisha!
Madhurima C — Google review
Dalma restaurant now remains just a name. Their brand reputation has inflated their price. But you get zero value for money. Located in the 1st floor, the reataurant gives a false Odia vibe by adding wallpapers of some Odia legends. Although the interior is neat and clean, the inside of the reataurant has some echo problem. People chattering turns into loud annoying echo across the restaurant. Even with minimum people inside, it felt like This is a public buffet party. AC doesn't help. Service boys are prompt and offer packaged drinking water as soon as you reach a table. And they give a very classy designed menu which lists all the overpriced and overhyped items they offer. Usual wait is within 10 mins. I ordered mutton thali which contained 2 small bowls of rice, one katori of dalma, one small katori full of aloo bharta, few slices of raw cucumber and a plate with 4 mutton pieces and 1 potato piece. The rice was okay, not soft but you can chew your way through. Dalma was good but not as it used to be. Even your home cooked dalma might test better than what they serve. Aloo bharta was tasty. Now coming to the mutton, out of 4 pieces, 2 pieces were meat and 2 pieces were bone and cartilage. The meat was not well cooked, had to pull them from the bones with teeth by force. The gravy however was good. The thali costs a whooping Rs.400 and you get a bill of Rs.420 for 5% GST. The menu doesn't include GST. If you have spare money to waste or have nothing better to do with your life, visit this restaurant for their overhyped food.

We tried Odia food at this highly rated restaurant in Bhubaneshwar for dinner yesterday. The food was freshly prepared and absolutely delicious!! The Mushroom Curry was outstanding!! This is our first trip to Orissa and we will definitely patronize them before our 3 day visit ends. The restaurant is on the first floor with limited parking up front. One can get parking on side streets. The restaurant was well lighted and the service was friendly and professional. Thanked the manager/kitchen staff on the way out - impressed with the excellent food preparation.

Indian restaurant
Kanika is a high-end restaurant located in Mayfair Lagoon, Bhubaneswar, offering traditional Odia cuisine in an elegant space adorned with local artifacts. The restaurant aims to introduce patrons to the regional delicacies of Odisha and showcase the state's rich cultural heritage through its gastronomic journey.
My Odia friend took me to Kanika at Mayfair Lagoon, and I ended up loving it. I had the vegetarian thali, and it was one of the best I’ve had. Every dish felt homely and still rich in flavour. he presentation was neat, and the service was warm in that old-school way. I’m not Odia, so this Odia thali experience made me look forward to going again. Simple, comforting, and something I’ll definitely go back for. The pithas were great too! its perfect for a traditional date with parents or elders as well!
Lahari — Google review
Also we mistakenly went into Mayfair Lagoon but this restaurant is situated right beside it. The menu and dishes were authentic. Unfortunately not a lot of vegan options. Also I didn't like the dishes much probably because traditional odiya cuisine doesn't suit my palate. But the service from the staff was really great. I could get all the information related to making the dishes vegan. The preparation of dishes takes some time. So it would be a good idea to order ahead of time. The ambience is amazing. They serve complementary fryums/chips which are pretty good(basic) 😂
Tarun Y — Google review
This was my third visit to Kanika resturant. I find the food taste is good. Liked kakharu phula bara. Chakuli mutton, bagdha chingudi kassa Badi chura, chatu bara.. what i dont like is the service, salt level in the food and cost.
Saroj S — Google review
Kanika is an Odia cuisine restaurant. You can order from an extensive a la carte menu, or order their thalis. There’s a veg thali, a non-veg thali, and a seafood thali. We chose the seafood thali, @Rs 1399 (with CST and GST included, the total comes to about Rs 1650 per thali). A little steep, but delicious. Papads and chutneys were placed at our table, followed by a warm kanji drink. Fish cakes were served to start with, and then came the thali: salad, two types of rice, a spongy roti made of rice flour, dal, a stir-fry of red amaranth leaves, a mixed vegetable curry, tomato chutney, badi chura (a mix of fried urad dal badis with onions, chillies, mustard oil, etc), potato bharta, fried whole fish, prawn curry, and fish in mustard gravy. There was kheer, and two types of other pithas (sweets), along with rasabali (like a doughnut swimming in rabri). Finally, we were served sweet paans. Overall, delicious food and good service. We enjoyed this a lot.
Madhulika L — Google review
The place isn't all that fancy or anything. The food's alright - maybe that's just how real food is. It's super expensive for what you get. I loved the Paan & Sweet dish they gave us.
Amit K — Google review
I have been visiting Kanika for some years now whenever I was Bhubaneswar. They were a friendly establishment. This time I was surprised that they have a no camera policy strangely as though they are a High Security site. The place is beautiful with lots of hand painted Raghurajpur patachitra which is hand painted art on cloth canvas. But their new policy is ridiculous and this would be my last visit to such a place with stunningly stupid policies

**Food Review: Kanika Restaurant in Mayfair, Bhubaneswar** I recently visited Kanika Restaurant in Mayfair, Bhubaneswar, expecting a delightful experience with authentic Odia cuisine. Unfortunately, the food quality was extremely disappointing and requires immediate attention. Firstly, the Chicken Bhaja was a letdown. The dish was overpowered with cinnamon powder, giving it an overly sweet taste that overshadowed the traditional flavors. The Prawn Fry was even more problematic. It had a strong, unpleasant odor, clearly indicating that the prawns were not fresh. This compromised the entire dish and made it quite unappetizing. The Mourala Batter Fry was similarly disappointing. The fish didn't seem fresh and had an off-putting smell, making the dish far from enjoyable. The Mutton Kosa was another major disappointment. The excessive use of garam masala was overwhelming, masking the flavors of both the mutton and the gravy. It was impossible to appreciate the dish as the spices dominated everything else. Overall, my experience at Kanika Restaurant was a complete disappointment. These issues with taste and quality must be corrected immediately to do justice to the rich and flavorful tradition of Odia cuisine. Anyone trying these dishes for the first time might be completely turned off from Odia food. While it may attract one-time visitors unfamiliar with the cuisine, it certainly does not represent the true essence of Odia food. **Rating: 1/5**

Odia restaurant
Indian restaurant
Nestled in the bustling Sahid Nagar Market, near Bhawani Mall, Odisha Hotel is a culinary gem that celebrates the rich flavors of traditional Odia cuisine. This charming establishment is renowned for its authentic Odia thali, featuring delightful dishes such as pakhala, fried fish, mutton kassa, and chhatu rai.
Certainly worth a visit if you want to try Odia cuisines. For Bengalis it's nearly same as Bengali cuisine. They serve in Bronze or Brass utensils (not sure exactly which one) so it looks like the old days. The prices seemed quite reasonable and the patra chicken (chicken grilled , covered in leaf) was really unique. We also the mutton thali and the prawn curry. Both were tasty. The prawn size was generous. Can't say the same for the mutton pieces but that's fine. Service was prompt. Place was clean
Parthasarathi C — Google review
Highly overrated and over priced. We came here just because we have heard a lot about it expecting at least the food will be awesome but pure disappointment. Not sure how people are rating it so high. I strongly feel it’s rated by those who are staying away from Odisha ( like prabashi odia ) and hungry for some Odia food for ages. And when you get anything you just love it so much and it becomes overwhelming. But actually it’s Below average food. You will get much better taste at many other restaurants. Only the rice grain they use is better. Even the ambience is just like any other ac restaurant but washrooms hygiene Zero and washbasins hygiene zero. Just because they serve on brass cutlery doesn’t mean it’s a royal dine.
AVINASH K — Google review
I recently visited Odisha Hotel and ordered their mutton thali, mutton liver kassa, desi chicken, and prawn dishes. While I have had good experiences here before, this time the taste didn’t quite match what I remembered. The mutton was slightly bland, the chicken lacked its usual spice, and the mutton liver kassa was not very good. The prawns were okay. The service was decent, and the ambiance remains comfortable, but the inconsistency in food quality was noticeable. I hope the hotel works on bringing back the authentic flavors that made it my go-to choice before
Tony S — Google review
It’s present in prime location and mostly known for authentic Odia food, so we have been to the place with our colleagues from outside of state. I specifically had veg thali and mushrooms, paneer. Those are 3.5/5 overall. Other ordered non veg I was not sure about those. Interior, atmosphere, staff, everything is very good.
Jitendra S — Google review
A mid-budget Odia cuisine hotel in a commercial district of town. The food is ok from a localite perspective...might be more paletable for outsiders. They have a good variety of veg and non veg thalis and ala carte dishes including some typical dishes that are found in Odia households cooking . The fish, prawns and mutton that we ordered were fresh and of a good quality. The quantity is sufficient . The ambience is decent and the service quick. Special mention for the Khiri...it was amazing!
Abhijit M — Google review
If you are looking for authentic odisha food u must try here. They have also wide variety option in non veg thali. Must try dalma, Khakharuphula bhaja
DEBADATTA D — Google review
Before lunch, I was genuinely excited to experience the authentic soul of Odia cuisine — the aroma, the flavors, the warmth I’ve always associated with traditional Odia food. Unfortunately, the meal didn’t live up to that expectation. The dishes were average in taste, missing the depth and balance that define Odia flavors. The presentation was decent, but the food didn’t feel as fresh or soulful as I hoped. What should have been a comforting, flavorful journey felt more like a routine meal. For a restaurant that represents Odisha’s heritage, I expected more authenticity and warmth in every bite. It’s not terrible, but definitely not as per the soul of Odisha.
Dwitikrushna P — Google review
The worst food they served ... They are defaming odisha name by keeping it as Odisha Hotel ...the food they served those are actually only name of Odisha cuisine .. The taste of the food is completely worst ... The real Odia will never visit this place further after having once there ...

This is a really good restaurant with good food and excellent service. All the dishes we ordered including the shake and drinks were tasty and in good quantity. However, what stood out was the service provided. They were extremely polite and food was served very nicely. Overall, a 10/10 experience

Nestled in the vibrant Adarsh Vihar area of Patia, Shohala Ana Odia is a culinary gem that truly embodies the essence of Odia cuisine. The name itself translates to "completely Odia," and this restaurant offers a delightful array of dishes from not just Odisha but also Bengali and Indian-Chinese influences.

I dined out here on the Bengali Naboborsho. They even had a new menu printed just for it so the prices were around 30rs more than what they actually were earlier. If you go during the weekdays the prices are less. We had chicken kasa, basanti polao, mango chutney (which was finger licking good)and topped it off with my very favourite ROSOGOLLA. Even has a Bhetki Fry (kyunki machli ke bina kaise hi hoga main course complete) The prices of the items were a bit overpriced according to me. The polao had very little quantity and was too sweet for my liking. But the chicken was good. But the thing is they need to make their food atleast a bit spicy cuz they were just too sweet. Prices: Basanti polao- 150Rs Chicken kasa- 260 Rs (4 pieces) Mutton kasa- 350 Rs (4 pcs) Bhetki fry- 250 Rs Bhetki paturi- 280 Rs Mango chutney- 80 Rs Rosogolla - 30 Rs (2pcs) Do order with your group and enjoy the cuisines and refresh your tastebuds. A good choice for both authentic Odia and Bengali cuisine. But you might need to book places early as it gets jammes up fast. Rating -4/5

We recently visited this restaurant and overall had a wonderful dining experience. Almost every dish we ordered was excellent in both taste and presentation. However, we were slightly disappointed with the "Chinguri Malai Curry", as the prawns did not seem fresh at all and lacked the expected flavor. On the brighter side, the "Mutton Dak Bunglow" and "Yellow Pulao" were absolutely outstanding and are highly recommended for anyone visiting. The ambience and service were good, though the pricing is on the higher side compared to similar places. Still, if you’re looking for quality food and don’t mind spending a little extra, it’s worth a visit.

But in terms of hygiene- 0/10 The used plates from tables are kept in the same place or near the same place where the food ordered is placed. The same person who cleans the table and touches the fresh food and takes to the new table WITHOUT washing the hands. Extremely unhygienic and dirty.

Personally, I felt it's economical for the restaurant and more price for customers because when we can get basmati rice , chicken/mutton, daal , salad individually but the thali is not available, NOT POSSIBLE. Quantity according to price is less . And now shohala ana odia and lal qila both are serving in the same restaurant. Overall average experience.

The Restaurant at Trident Bhubaneswar, located in CB 1, Nayapalli, offers a diverse range of dishes from various cuisines including Odia, Italian, American and Oriental. The menu features traditional Odia dishes like dalma, chattu besara and santula as well as international items such as teriyaki marinade baby lobster and New Zealand lamb chops. The restaurant also provides a luxurious ambiance and excellent hospitality.
The ambience is very calm and sophisticated. What makes it stand out is the service. The staff is extremely polite and made us feel like we are part of a family. Post dinner they served us freshly sliced mangoes from the hotel's garden which was really sweet. A good place to spend quality time with family.
Samarpita P — Google review
An elegant and upscale restaurant which kind of lives up to its reputation as an upscale restaurant. The ambience is classic heritage types and the atmosphere is very calm and relaxing. Nice place to take your better half if you want to have some quiet time (not alone time). The food tasted good. The only problem was the portion size which in comparison to other places was less. But then being an upscale restaurant, I guess that is what generally people eat. But if you are a foodie with a big appetite, the only thing getting lighter is your wallet, not your plate. The staff behaviour was excellent (kind of expected for an upscale restaurant). Good place to go if you don't mind your appetite staying big and your pocket feeling a little lighter.

The Restaurant at the The Trident is such a classy affair. A very big nod to the old school service excellence and style. I stayed there for over a fortnight and the breakfast everyday was the best start to my day.

The hospitality was truly exceptional — the staff was attentive, courteous, and made us feel incredibly welcome. The ambience was equally impressive, offering a perfect blend of elegance and comfort. Whether you’re dining with family or friends, it’s a great place to enjoy a delicious meal in a beautiful setting. Highly recommended!!!

Someone recommended me this restaurant, so, I tried it. Portions aren't too big, so, expensive if we take into account this. The staff was really kind and nice, but it take too long to receive the orden in the table. I suppose there were a lot of clients or not too much staff inside the kitchen. By the other hand, the restaurant is so elegant, nice, quiet. I really liked it. About the quality of the food, as foreigner, I have to say nothing was spicy, so to me was perfect. Everything taste so good. I am not pretty sure if I will come back because of the slowly service from the kitchen. The restaurant is located inside the hotel, in the first floor.

It was my mom's birthday so I wanted to make it very special.on that special occasion I went to trident along with my mom. hospitality and ambiance was really awesome 👌.it was for the first time I visited a 5star hotel.i ordered a cake, which was a fresh fruit cake the taste and the look of the cake was really delicious.now coming to the the main course part, I ordered 1 Veg Odia Thali, Nonveg Kebab Platter,Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani.the veg thali contained rice,Dalma, baigan Bharta, Tomato Chutney, Lau Santula, Chhena Poda,Chhatu Besar,Roti, Aloo tikki each and every dish having very less oil and less spicy in taste and also every dish mentioned with it's proper Kcal which is good for health conscious people. Kebab Platter contained lamb Kebab,Prawn,Chicken,Fish,Naan and dal makhni.the lamb and prawn Kebab was not that good at taste and I guess it was a frozen thing which they processed to serve us.fish was taste less.chicken Kebab was really good with smoky flavor.and Lastly the Biriyani was average and the masalas were very much dominating.chicken pieces were very dry or frozen type and it was not very sooth to chew.as per the standards prices are a bit high for mediocre family.overall experience was good and 1 time go place to experience the luxury.

Tangerine 9 is a popular Chinese restaurant in Bhubaneswar that offers a wide variety of meat dishes bursting with the flavors of fresh herbs and spices. In addition to Indian and Chinese cuisine, it also serves well-executed Thai dishes. The menu features experimental fusion dishes that present traditional recipes in quirky global fusion styles, such as chocolate panipuri and schezwan dosas.
This restaurant is located in 2nd floor and near to Lalchnd Jewellers. The food quality was too good and staffs were very nice. One of the best place to have a small party with friends. Please try Tangerine Fried Rice if you visit there.

Went to this restaurant for lunch after taking a look at the reviews but was disappointed with the service and food. The staff is not at all trained, they don’t know how to serve rice. And if it was closed time why didn’t you deny service at the starting. Standing near the table to close plates as soon as food is completed is not professional and saying people go quickly we have to close gates. Really pathetic. And why have you charged 4rs extra in bill, that’s not how round off works. Would never recommend anyone this disgusting restaurant.

We recently visited this cozy spot and was impressed by the variety of food options, especially their Ramen and sizzlers. The place had a nice ambiance and wasn’t too crowded, which made for a relaxed dining experience. We ordered a sizzler, and while it was decent, I was a bit disappointed that it lacked the mashed potatoes that usually complete the dish. Overall, it’s a good place to try out if you’re looking for a quiet meal with some diverse menu choices. Have some time in hand as it is not the quickest place.

This establishment boasts truly delicious baked crabs and a noteworthy soup. The chicken biryani is also a good choice for those seeking a flavorful rice dish. However, be prepared for a slightly slower pace of service than some may prefer. Overall, the excellent food quality nearly overshadows the service speed, making it a very recommendable dining experience.

Upon receiving our order, she promptly rose to personally prepare our meal we ordered. pure dedication ! haven’t seen in a while. respect! the ambience reflects raw passion of the owner! A fascinating book on the shelf, detailing over 150 potato dishes enjoyed across the globe, caught my eye and added a unique charm. I found this place to be very overrated, the food was okay. Similar food is available at other places as well. But their behaviour towards customers is very bad. The boys they have hired to provide service is very ridiculous. There is no hygiene here at all. They charge very high prices too. I would recommend you to eat at some other place. You will get better than this. They provide better service there. Here the service is worst. They ask for money in the middle of eating the food as if you will steal and go away somewhere. Their behaviour is very bad.

Best place to eat both chicken and mutton briyani and tangdi chicken. Must try these. You can also try liver fry They are specialist in mughlai paratha also.. Staffs and servers are good. But the ambience is not good not clean . Best thing is to get parcel ( take out) the food

Ordered chicken mughlai parotha during my last visit. It was filled with oil and chicken taste was on the average side. One thing, the hygiene factor may put off some people, and so does the health meter, however, if you're looking for some greasy goodness, go for it. The nearby area also has many outlets...

It's a street food joint - pls do not expect high end atmosphere, service etc. But the food is good. They are quite famous in Bhubaneswar for their Biryanis. They also offer rolls, kababs etc. The mutton mughloi paratha is really good.

Royal is neither a 'hidden' gem, nor is it underrated, but yes, it is underground! 😂 Great Mutton Biryani, even greater Mutton Cutlet. Crispy on the outside and soft inside, tastes great with the Tandoori Roti. The Mutton in the Biryani was very tender as well. The prices are reasonable.

They used to be awesome. Now it's just average. The last 2 times I had mutton biriyani, they served really small and broken pieces. And to top it up, they have upped their prices as well. Mughlai paratha was also good earlier, now it's just so so. The kebab is worth a try. But not very juicy. It's dry.

Mutton cutlet barely had mutton inside. Mutton Mughlai Paratha did not taste that good. Too much oil and the parotha was raw inside. The chutney was good though. They should work on the hygiene little more. Sticky table tops, smelling wash basin etc. I will update my review on Mutton Biryani soon.

Atithi Devo Bhaba Restaurant offers an authentic Odia cuisine experience that has left many visitors enamored with its offerings. The restaurant is known for its affordable and generous portions of delicious food, such as the must-try "chatua patra poda" served with rice and dalma. Visitors appreciate the inviting ambiance, supportive staff, and a good range of menu options.
Authentic Odia cuisine at its finest! This place offers a rich spread of traditional flavors with a premium touch. The Desi Chicken, mutton n chakuli is a must-try—flavorful, tender, and perfectly spiced. Though on the pricier side, it’s worth every bite. Ambience is decent, staff are polite, and service is smooth. A true gem for anyone craving real Odia food with class.
Shibashish D — Google review
We ordered a mutton thali that came with a variety of side items and a chingudi checha, which were quite good. However, the mutton itself lacked any real essence — it didn’t feel like we were eating mutton at all. For a restaurant charging ₹400 for a mutton thali, I believe there are better places that serve far superior mutton at a lower price. The staff's behavior was a bit stiff and could definitely be more welcoming. Overall, it was a decent experience, but I wouldn’t return for the mutton.
Sampadsmruti R — Google review
We recently went this restaurant for lunch. It’s mainly serving Odia delicacies. We ordered Chattu Patrapoda, Paneer Patrapoda, Veg Thalis and Nadia bara. The food is really good. But the service is very bad. The staffs were rude. At first they gave us Chattu Patra poda but didn’t give any plates. We have to ask them for plates, spoons, glasses repeatedly. Then before we finish our food they asked us to leave because people were waiting for dine in. They said they have a 40 mins time limit. If you guys have 40 mins time limit, you need to tell the customers beforehand and serve the food in 5 mins. We didn’t enjoy here though the food was good.

Last afternoon we thought of having pakhal and some authentic Odia cuisine. We tried their thali and dishes like Mushroom patrapoda, Chhungudi (prawns) and Mutton Aloo Jhola. The taste and ambiance was good. The price was a bit on the higher side and there was waiting time for a seat. Overall if you need to try authentic odia food in a good ambience then this is the place.
Amarendra S — Google review
Atithi Devo Bhaba Restaurant – Authentic Odia Cuisine If you’re looking to try traditional Odia flavors, this is definitely a place to visit. Food Quality The highlight is the authentic Odia dishes, which truly capture the essence of the cuisine. Special mention goes to the chattu patrapoda, which was delicious and worth trying. Overall, the food is fresh and flavorful, making the wait feel worthwhile. Service & Table Management The restaurant is quite popular, so expect a crowd during peak hours. Getting a table can be a bit frustrating since the system isn’t very organized—you’ll need to keep checking to secure your turn. Ambiance & Pricing While the food is impressive, the ambiance doesn’t match the pricing. The interiors could be improved to create a better dining experience. Overall Verdict Atithi Devo Bhaba Restaurant is a great choice for authentic Odia food lovers, but go prepared for some waiting time and average ambiance. If food is your priority, you won’t be disappointed.
Saroj S — Google review

Worst Food Experience – Avoid This Place at All Costs This is by far the worst food place I have ever been to. • Food Quality: Absolutely pathetic. The food smelled so bad, especially the non-veg items, that I couldn’t even eat. I ended up vomiting because of how unhygienic and foul it was. Nothing tasted fresh, and everything seemed stale and poorly cooked. • Hygiene & Cleanliness: The place is dirty, unhygienic, and feels neglected. Tables were not cleaned properly, plates smelled bad, and overall sanitation is horrible. • Waiting Time: We had to wait for more than an hour just to get our order, and when it finally arrived, it was inedible. Complete waste of time. • Service: The staff are careless, rude, and untrained. No sense of hospitality, no customer care, and they simply don’t care about your experience. • Atmosphere: The entire place had a strong, disgusting smell of rotten food, making it impossible to sit and eat peacefully. This place should not even be running as a restaurant. It’s unhealthy, unhygienic, and a serious risk for food poisoning. Definitely not worth your money, time, or health. Strongly NOT recommended. Save yourself the disappointment and stay away.

Simple hotel vibe. Limited menu option. But the food quality and taste is top notch. Highly recommend to try their chicken bharta , lachha parata and paneer lababdar and biryani.
Sibani B — Google review
Chicken Tikka Butter Masala was good. But Biriyani was ok .It could be better. Limited number of dishes available. Staff behaviour was good. Easy to find out. No extra charges. As compared to other restaurants the price was budget friendly.
PABITRA C — Google review
I recently visited this restaurant and tried the Chicken Hyderabadi, Chicken Kadai, Paneer Butter Masala with Lachha Paratha. The taste of the food was okay, nothing extraordinary .I would say the quality was average. Unfortunately, I found a fly in the chicken dish while eating, which was quite disappointing and raises concerns about hygiene. Hope the management looks into this seriously and improves food safety and cleanliness.

Visited The Pakwan after seeing an Instagram reel, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. Here's my rating: - Chilly Chicken: 2.5/5 (7/8 small pieces, but taste was just okay) - Mushroom Kadai: 3/5 (less quantity,Taste was okay, nothing special) The ambiance was cozy, seating around 20-30 people. Overall experience was just okay. Wouldn't recommend going solely based on their Instagram reels. Maybe try it if you're in the area, but not worth a special trip.

Chicken Bharta -10/10 ( no.1) Chicken Chilly -8/10 Lachha Paratha -9/10 ( so soft and crunchy) Paneer Lababdar -9.5/10 ( spicy and creamy ) Overall -9/10 Must try place in Nayapalli !

Test is good I love their chicken tika n kabab but they used huge amount of colour in food so I some times avoid this restaurant. At the time of billing when I told this they reply aaji tk adhika padijaithiba (its their every time excuse)
Anand S — Google review
I had heard that they make amazing Chicken Bharta and what I got was beyond my expectations. It was perhaps the best Chicken Bharta I have had in my life so far. Even the Laccha Paranthas were yummy and well made. The Biryani was delicious and was on the less spicy side (if that's what you prefer). The service is fast and the food is worth the money.

Babumoshai is a cultural melting pot, offering delicious food and excellent service. The restaurant has a Bengali influence with Oriya staff serving regional dishes at reasonable prices. Guests can enjoy the tasty cuisine while admiring the well-dressed staff and convenient parking facilities. Although the exterior may not be impressive, the interior provides a pleasant dining experience for lunch or dinner.
It's a Bengali resturent. But stuffs are oria . Foods are so good. Also price is regional according to foods taste. I recommend this hotel for lunch and dinner

I visited his restaurant when I was travelling from Hyderabad to Kolkata via Bhubaneswar and I came from bus to Bhubaneswar and then via train. This restaurant is nearby railway station. It is very good restaurant for Bengali.

We ate veg over there, We ordered some veg soup and crispy chilly babycorn as starter. For main course, we ordered fried rice, chilly mushroom. They took so long to serve. The taste of food was not satisfactory.. Firstly no ac was working and then their was powecut for half an hour almost which was suffocating. At the time of bill processing also, we had to wait in the queue. But the location is good for sure. My experience was not good. :(

The place is great with fabulous food. Not very high priced. Clean hygienic .

This place has also a "Street food" outlet beside the restaurant, serving all kinds of snack items i.e. Rolls, Noodles, kebabs, Soups etc. ⭐Ambience: funky decor with the Bengali vibes everywhere. There is a rickshaw at the corner with all the fairy glittery lights and tools around. Good place to hang out with friends. ⭐Food: I have tried the Egg kebab roll so far. I found it better than any other dishes. It was basically an egg roll with chicken kebabs inside. I loved the after taste though. ⭐They have something different to offer, so you must try out the food items here. Thank you!

Nice restaurant. Very good ambience, hospitality and taste. I've ordered Chicken Tangdi, Rice, Bhapa Ilish and Desi Chicken Curry. Visit this restaurant and enjoy.

Food that binds culture is called Hotel Babumoshai. Testy food, service is good. Uniforms are too good. Freely can park your 4wheel. Love this place . Those who foody , will try this restaurant once.

One star is also not for this hotel. Please delete the name Babumoshai first, it cheated the Bangali people. This is not the taste of bengal. We ordered rohi macha, janhi posta, it seems that they stored it in the fridge, odd smell. Road side dhaba better cooked these dishes. When we complain they want to provide discount coupon for next time. 🤮

Nestled in the bustling lanes of Bapuji Nagar, Bhaina Hotel is a beloved dhaba that has been serving up delicious comfort food for over 50 years. Known for its iconic mutton dishes, this eatery has transitioned to vegetarian offerings but still holds a special place in the hearts of locals. The atmosphere is vibrant and cozy, often buzzing with patrons eager to savor their famous mutton jhola paired with rice—a dish celebrated for its tender meat and rich blend of spices.
If odia mutton curry is on your mind then this place is a must visit. Don't even bother to expect anything other than food like atmosphere or comfort. Be ready to stand in queue.

Located in the heart of bhubaneswar and serving katha chuli mutton since three decades..The setting is of a dhaba. So it is better to keep your expectations low on that front.Interior is way cozy with full house crowd always..The quality is degraded for sure over years making it a concerning affair.. But still the slow cooked traditional meat is what i fall for everytime!! Per plate mutton meal is 230/- And the amount of mutton is sufficient for a single person. Salad and mix Chincheda is a must try too! Suggestion- Visit on Wednesdays to get the best mutton!!(SUNDAYS AND FRIDAYS GONNA BE DISAPPOINTMENT FOR SURE) WAITING TIME IS MANDATORY!

BHAINA MUTTON, Bhubaneswar's another age old champion 🏆 for its best mutton . In the lanes of Bapuji Nagar , Bhaina mutton is a shop who has been serving since 50 years . . We visited this place and it's a literal JANA SAMUDRA here . We had to be in a line & wait for our turn. The eatery was full for its mutton. They use wood fire to cook the mutton. The mutton jhola and Rice is divine combo 😍 The jhola has better blend of spices and the mutton was very tender and flavorful . I liked this mutton more than Kishore bhaina mutton .🤩 . . Price-₹150/-(half) ₹300/-(full)

As the place is gud and is at a gud location but the taste is below average and the cost is too high... There are many other options for special mutton dishes in Bhubaneswar but I choose this place by recommendation. It's not worthy and wastage of money and tasteless. Not recommended at all..

Recently I went to Puri with my family and relatives and stayed at Hotel Bangalaxmi, Marine Drive Road. I have been forced to make cash payment. There is no system of card payment. This is really embarrassing. Where ATM withdrawal limits Rs. 2500/- per day , I faced huge problem to make entire payment in cash. You are requested to ensure card facility in future.

Experienced Faculty: Many reviews commend the faculty for their qualifications and teaching methods. The instructors are described as knowledgeable and supportive, focusing on practical learning experiences. This can be worst college and hostel due the to the senior batches.. being a parent i will beg other parents not to spend your child in this college .. my child is in so much depression that he is going through medical treatment and i can't see him like that . I had to take him back from the hostel and he left the Crouse in between. The seniors batches are so bad that they just threaten my all the boys in the hostel . I will be taking some action against the college and the hostel soon and will request those parents whose child are still there in the horrible College and hostel to look after ypur child and please tale some action against the senior batches of 2022 .. its a huge request of a parent
