Observatories & Planetariums
Perched atop Mount Hollywood, Griffith Observatory is a stunning art deco landmark dating back to 1935. It offers breathtaking city views and is a popular spot for both locals and visitors. The observatory boasts a high-tech planetarium and provides public telescopes for stargazing. It's also famous for its appearance in the award-winning film La La Land. Additionally, visitors can enjoy hiking trails leading to the observatory, with opportunities to witness panoramic vistas of downtown Los Angeles and Santa Monica.
Wow, this place is a must-visit! The views across LA are spectacular, and the inside is packed with fascinating information about the planets. We arrived early afternoon and found the place to be quite busy, but it was still spacious enough to feel comfortable. We opted for the bus up, as it was the most convenient and free option. You can also walk up if you prefer. One of the highlights of the observatory is the breathtaking view of the Hollywood sign. You could easily spend a day or afternoon exploring the exhibits and learning about the cosmos. My favourite part was seeing an actual piece of moon rock!
Bob G — Google review
The view was beautiful from the roof of the observatory. You can see the whole city of Los Angeles as well as the Hollywood sign on the mountain. There is a telescope structure that you can carry in with no charge. You can see the telescope inside, and the roof of that telescope structure can spin, so the telescope goes through the whole roof, which is really cool. I would suggest walking around the rooftop and having a good look at that mountain and also the city from above. The weather is good. You can also see the downtown Los Angeles from far away. Transportation is simple. You can either drive there and pay $10 for car parking, or take a bus.
Nan L — Google review
It was amazing place for adults and children. And free!!! You will see very much model sytem related with universe such as seasons, solar sytem order and their speed… Btw you can see a real telescope at the roof but you will probably wait al least 20-30 min. And of the story you can see amazing LA view at night. Some exhibits need extra payment but most of the area visiting is free. You give at least half day for this place.
Rana B — Google review
I visited the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, and it was an incredible experience! The view from the terrace is absolutely stunning — you can see the entire city skyline, the Hollywood Sign, and on a clear night, a sky full of stars. Inside, the giant pendulum is mesmerizing to watch as it marks the Earth’s rotation, and the telescopes are a real highlight — especially the public telescope on the rooftop, where you can see the moon and planets up close. The exhibits are fascinating, the atmosphere is inspiring, and the sunset view is unforgettable. A must-visit landmark for anyone exploring LA!
Dr.Bhargava B — Google review
I didn’t go inside, as I was on a small group tour and we only stopped for about half an hour. I walked around the exterior and used the restroom. Time is very tight, so I would recommend at least 30 minutes to an hour. If you plan to go inside, tickets are required and you should allow considerably more time. The views outside are beautiful and relaxing, with a clear sight of the Hollywood sign. However, the public restrooms nearby are limited and somewhat dirty. Parking is limited: the spots inside are few and likely expensive, while parking outside is not cheap either. Walking up from outside parking can also take a significant amount of time. If you are on a tight schedule, this location might not be ideal.
Mark — Google review
I photographed an engagement session here last weekend and it reminded me why Griffith Observatory is such a dream for portraits. The Art Deco architecture, sweeping city and mountain views, and clean lines give you everything—from elegant editorial frames to candid, romantic moments—often within a few steps of each other. We worked along the terraces, the colonnade, and the front steps to create a mix of wide landscapes and intimate close-ups. With some thoughtful timing and positioning, we kept backgrounds clean and distraction-free—every frame feels classic LA. I delivered the couple’s gallery the very next day, and the images look like they were taken on a private set. Practical notes: plan a little buffer for parking and walking between spots, and always respect any posted guidelines. If you’re considering engagement photos here, there are a few simple strategies that make a huge difference in getting that “no-crowd” look—happy to share what works. Attaching a handful of favorites from the session so you can see the variety this location offers!

After living in LA for 9+ years I've finally decided to go inside this building. I had always view this place as a tourist trap; was I right? Yes. But it has its charms. The view of La is amazing. This place is filled with international tourists. The line to the main telescope is very long and may or may not worth the wait. The parking situation during peak is incredibly bad. Highly recommend to park below and hike up if you don't mind a bit exercise. Great place to take a date.
Wa W — Google review
Wow... I don't know if there's even a better view over LA, but I don't need any other than this. Neat looking building, spectacular views, and very cool public accessible telescope in the left dome. Good view on the city, the Hollywood sign, and the surrounding area. Visited during daytime, but I can only imagine the sights at night through the telescopes. Parking is a hassle, but maybe we did it wrong. Popular tourist attraction, so be prepared for a crowd.

Los Angeles City Hall, a historic landmark built in 1928 by renowned architects John Parkinson, Albert C. Martin, and John C. Austin, offers docent-led tours and an impressive 27th-floor observation deck. Despite being overshadowed by modern skyscrapers, the grand white concrete tower stands as an iconic symbol of the city's history and architecture. The building's beauty is evident both inside and out, with a stately courtyard and tiled rotunda on the third floor.
I’ve been on jury duty for about a month and have been exploring Downtown Los Angeles. I’ve lived here my whole life and this is the first time I have been really exploring. The architecture of City Hall is amazing it was the largest building in the city when originally built. There is a metal detector you have to go through for safety purposes. Before 9/11 there were less safety measures. Thirty years ago, I went to city hall to get my ambulance driver’s license.I found myself, unbelievably, amazingly, surprisingly at the very top, my head sticking out of the very top of City Hall. Unbelievable. The 27th floor is the observation deck, amazing views. 3rd floor there are items from the Olympics.
Dave R — Google review
Came here for a trip to the top to see the view from the observation deck. Free admission, but you have to do a bag & metal detector check and also sign in to get a badge. We took three separate elevators to get to the top, one of which was very beautiful and decorated. The view was nice, but I wish we came at sunset!

🏛️ Rising proudly in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, this building is a stunning representation of the city’s ambition and grandeur. The sleek, Art Deco design echoes a past era while standing tall among the contemporary skyline. Its graceful lines, powerful columns, and symmetric façade are beautifully complemented by the clear blue sky and soaring palm trees that frame it. The elegant arches and the display of American flags add to its dignified and timeless appeal, making it an instant symbol of authority and pride. The City Hall radiates a sense of both grandeur and approachability, welcoming visitors with its wide, majestic steps leading up to the grand entrance. The sweeping views from the base reveal an impressive contrast between historic and modern Los Angeles, with the sunlight bathing the entire scene in a golden hue. This building stands not just as a governmental center but as a monument to the city’s growth and cultural history. It’s a beacon of civic pride, inviting everyone to marvel at its architectural grace and historical significance. Simply put, Los Angeles City Hall is a tribute to the city’s spirit and resilience—a must-see for locals and tourists alike.

I visited yesterday and loved it! The Art Deco architecture is beautiful, and the free observation deck on the 27th floor offers stunning 360-degree views of LA. The building has a lot of history, and the murals inside are worth seeing. Security is tight but the staff is helpful. Definitely a hidden gem in downtown LA!
Zoe R — Google review
Very nice and beautiful old building. The architecture both inside and out is great. I went in to go up to the observation deck and the security staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the building and helped me get up to the top. When you get up to the top, the views of the city are really good.
Matt M — Google review
A nice pit stop to get a good view of the city. The entrance is on Main Street. It’s free but make sure to bring your ID (driver’s license), you have to go through security and get a visitor’s pass. Take the elevators on the first floor to floor 22, then switch elevators to floor 26 for the observation point. Lovely view of the city and worth the visit.
Ying L — Google review
Cool experience going to the top, observation deck. We’ll have to remember our I.D.s next time to get visitor passes. Luckily the security guard let us go with picture id’s on our phone
Phil P — Google review
One of the best experiences of my life! If you ever get the chance to be able to get inside this building and explore the building and the people inside is unforgettable. I grew up in El Monte and the city officials in El Monte should get together and come here to learn how to treat the people of their city. To listen and write everything down and give you instructions with address and phone number of who you need to speak to. It was amazing. If anyone seeks help for anything you feel is out of your control ask here. They helped me and I am so grateful.

The Hollywood Sign, a legendary symbol of the entertainment industry, was erected in 1923 and is situated on Mount Lee. This iconic landmark is a must-see for anyone visiting California, especially those aspiring to make their mark in showbiz. For an unforgettable experience, explore various driving tours and walking trails that offer stunning views of the sign. One of the best vantage points can be found at Griffith Observatory, where visitors can enjoy breathtaking panoramas of Los Angeles while soaking in beautiful sunsets.
Worth the hike to the top. Park in the neighborhood near the innsdale drive trail and walk from that direction. Went on a weekday and lots of space to park. Hike is fairly steep but not difficult and worth it for the views and pictures!
James A — Google review
I took these photos from the side of the Griffith Observatory. My zoom isn’t the best 😬. Staying till after sunset, I don’t know why but I thought the sign illuminated - it didn’t. It would be good to see it glow, even if just for a short period of time. I am not sure if you can get nearer but google maps gave me this location. Enjoy. The Griffin Observatory is a nice site and park walkway. 💫
Ally S — Google review
I visited the Hollywood Sign in Los Angeles, and it was an unforgettable experience! The drive through Griffith Park was scenic, and the panoramic view of the city from the top was absolutely stunning. Seeing the iconic white letters up felt surreal — a true symbol of LA’s magic. I recommend going early in the morning or near sunset to avoid crowds and catch the best light for photos. A must-visit spot for anyone in Los Angeles!
Dr.Bhargava B — Google review
The Hollywood Sign is definitely a must-see when you’re in LA! It’s such an iconic spot, and seeing it up close feels unreal. I walked all the way to Lake Hollywood Park, which is an easier route it took me around 40 minutes, and it was totally worth it. The view from there is amazing, especially during sunset so gorgeous and peaceful! It’s a great spot to relax, take photos, and just enjoy the LA vibes.
Rui L — Google review
What can I say that hasn’t already been covered? The views are majestic, the hike is tough but enjoyable. And the atmosphere is just great.

Yes, it's touristy, but it is still cool to see. Very steep hills with tight curves and oncoming traffic to get up there. Still worth doing though

Amusement park
Universal Studios Hollywood is a sprawling amusement park in Los Angeles, known as The Entertainment Capital of L.A. It offers a unique cinema-themed experience with rides, restaurants, shops, and shows. Visitors can explore movie sets and enjoy attractions like Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, King Kong 360 3-D Studio Tour, Transformers: The Ride-3D, The Simpsons Ride, Revenge of the Mummy, and Jurassic Park - The Ride.
What’s not to love about Universal Studios Hollywood? My kiddos prefer coming here and compared to Disneyland, for me, the cost is a game changer. We’ve had the annual pass for the past couple of years and it works for my fam of four. There are rides and attractions for all ages, an array of restaurants, snack carts, a few Star Buck locations as well. Their Universal Studios app is extremely useful. It provides additional information on all rides and attractions, wait times, stores, theme park hours, theme park map, etc..if you want to stay a few steps ahead on your day, I highly recommend using. The best time to go are weekdays, absolutely fewer people vs. the weekends. It’s also nice during the holiday season when the Christmas decor goes up. I recommend purchasing theme park tickets online, you’ll save money in comparison to buying in person. (Parking is an additional charge.) Great place to visit, Have fun! Me and my family always do.
Mary M — Google review
So much fun. We're usually a Disney family but have wanted to visit Universal for a while and finally got our chance. It was actually quite a welcome change from the crowds of Disneyland. It would get very busy of an afternoon, mainly because we visited on Halloween horror nights and the crowds would arrive for that, but we managed to ride everything and were able to time it so we had less than half an hour waits for everything. We will definitely return to Universal again.
Bec M — Google review
We went on a Sunday in late October. There were minimal lines to get on the rides and the weather was nice and cool. Got to ride all of the rides, enjoy the studio tour, have lunch, a few snacks, and enjoy our time together. We definitely will be back. Keep in mind that the park closes early during the Hollywood Horror Night season & that is a separate entrance fee.
Twila K — Google review
We went for my daughter's 17th birthday. She got a pin at guest services and got 1 complimentary express ride free for her birthday. That was something special they do and it made her happy. That day, the line for rides were very short, so waiting time was great. We ate at a Harry Potter restaurant and the food was delicious. The Butterbeer you must try. There's unique souvenirs to buy in each land. The employees were very nice and courteous. The rides were awesome, especially The Mummy. I wish there were souvenirs for The Mimmy, but we saw none and that was disappointing. Overall, it was a great experience. In the photos, it's Hogwarts Castle, 2nd is a cauldron cake (it's magnificent and should be tried!) and 3rd is from Jurassic Park live shows.
Rachelle P — Google review
This was during Halloween Haunted Nights - and it was an absolute blast! Parking was easy, general is $35 and not even that much of a walk, food inside the park is better quality and price than SeaWorld, and all of the attractions were tops 20m wait? Loved it - went exclusively for the Fallout event and was blown away, from merch to the attraction itself. Will be going back to experience the whole park!
Zachary A — Google review
Amazing place for a full day of fun! The rides, shows, and movie sets are exciting and entertaining for all ages. The staff is friendly, the park is clean, and every visit feels like a new adventure. Highly recommend for families and tourists!

I lived in California all my life ( but transplanted to Kansas)and always was a rollercoaster buff. Now that I'm older I was given a chance to check out Universal and I must say I really did enjoy my time here, a must see!! Wished I would have visited sooner! But honestly can't wait to comeback to ride the FAST 2 FURIOUS in 2026!! See ya soon!

Get the VIP experience! Make sure you have Michael R. as your guide. The day began with coffee, fruit and danishes in the special VIP room while awaiting our time slot. Michael picked us up and we had the most spectacular tour. I was blown away by Michael knowledge. He truly loves his job and it was just spectacular to go see all these places where movies were filmed and to hear the history of all these different places. Then we got to do rides bypassing all of the lines. That was fun. Michael even held all of our stuff for us. The poor guy covered in purses and backpacks. The private lunch was spectacular.

The Getty is a renowned, expansive museum that showcases American and European art, as well as architectural marvels and meticulously maintained gardens. It's one of the must-visit spots in Los Angeles, a city known for its diverse attractions ranging from beaches to mountains. The J. Paul Getty Museum aims to spark curiosity and appreciation for visual arts by collecting, preserving, displaying, and interpreting historically significant artworks.
Pretty amazing place. Driven by here many times on work trips out here and wanted to go. Finally made it happen. The place is massive - quite a bit bigger than I tthought it would be. Parking was easy and plentiful. Short tram ride from parking to the complex, and you are rocking and rolling. Very popular place. Went at around noon on a Thursday late September, and there were plenty of people. Imagine weekends, summer, and holidays quite crowded. I thought the museums were solid enough and the architecture was impressive, but the star of the show for me were the grounds. Amazing trees and flowers abounded. And the view of LA would have been impressive if it hadnt been so smoggy and a bit rainy. Really remarkable place, especially if you like naked paintings and sculptures (those Greeks and Romans and Europeans were free-swinging and uninhibited - might need to shuffle the kids along at various spots). Went to Getty Villa as well and liked that even more.
Jimmer W — Google review
It is one of the most important art museums in the world, located in Los Angeles. Built with modern, light-colored stones, it is surrounded by gardens, water features and terraces. The museum houses European paintings, sculptures, manuscripts, photographs and decorative arts. Works by masters such as Van Gogh, Titian, Monet and Rubens are among the highlights. The photography collection is also one of the most extensive archives in the United States. Admission is free; parking costs $25, $15 after 3 p.m and $10 after 6 p.m.
Ozitheexplorer — Google review
The Getty Center is one of the greatest art collections ever assembled, and one of Los Angeles’s true cultural treasures. Perched high above the city in the Brentwood Hills, the Getty offers an extraordinary combination of art, architecture, and landscape design. The Richard Meier campus is a thoughtful collection of buildings connected by terraces, gardens and open courtyards where visitors are invited to flow through each of the collections through a series of footbridges and walkways. Arrival of the Getty is via light tram that slowly snakes up the hill, gradually expanding the views of Los Angeles and the surrounding hills, helping prepare visitors for the spectacular panoramic views that await them at the top. Inside, the Getty’s galleries house an exceptional range of European paintings, sculptures, decorative arts, and photography — from masterpieces by Van Gogh, Rembrandt, and Monet to intricate medieval manuscripts and 18th-century furnishings. Pieces are thoughtfully curated and the skylight system makes these cavernous rooms feel airy and light. Beyond the main campus Central Garden designed by Robert Irwin, offers a serene landscape of winding paths, reflection pools and a vibrant mix of flora and fauna. First time visitors should budget approximately 2-3 hours to tour all of the museum's offerings. Admission is free although guests are encouraged to book in advance. Whether you’re a dedicated art lover, a design enthusiast, or just looking for a peaceful escape with breathtaking views, the Getty Center offers one of the most enriching and inspiring experiences in the city.
Andrew L — Google review
The Getty Museum is truly one of Los Angeles’ treasures. The architecture and views alone are worth the visit — you can see the city, the ocean, and the mountains all from one spot. The gardens are beautifully designed and make for a peaceful walk. Inside, the art collection is incredible, ranging from European masterpieces to rotating exhibitions that are always thoughtfully curated. What I really love is that admission is free (just pay for parking), which makes it accessible for everyone. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, and everything feels very well organized. Whether you’re an art lover, a history buff, or just looking for a relaxing day in LA, the Getty is a must-visit.

We are a family of 4 traveling with a special needs adult son. This museum is free minus the cost of covered secure parking. Well worth the cost. Our adult son has limited mobility and if you are pushing a wheelchair it’s a workout. On sunny warm days umbrellas are provided while they last -plan accordingly. There is so much to see and appreciate. I walked away with new & surprising perspectives. The garden is especially impressive. You feel a little overwhelmed by the vigilance of the security but they are doing a good job. Plan for hours to stay. I hope you enjoy this impressive marvel! For younger eyes: as you may expect there is plenty of nudity in art - so a talk with kids beforehand may be helpful.

I have many long time favorites to visit in LA. But this place has now bar far hands down moved into the #1 spot to visit for all my art fans. There is a reason it is #1 in the world. They have made it an unbelievable experience from the time you get there to the time you leave. Amazing views into downtown Amazing views into West Hollywood. Reasonable on all fronts. Go early and make it a day trip. Reservations are highly advised. Google the Getty and it should be easy to find. Good walking shoes a must...

What an amazing visit! The architecture and stone masonry were absolutely breathtaking. The exhibition was so informative—I may never make it to Greece or Italy, but being surrounded by all the incredible artwork and sculptures truly made me feel like I was there. The gardens were stunning and added such a peaceful touch to the experience. A beautiful place that brings history to life!

I recently had the chance to visit the Getty in Los Angeles, and it was such an incredible experience. The museum itself is breathtaking, not only because of the world-class art collections but also because of the architecture and the atmosphere. Walking through the galleries, I was amazed by how beautifully everything was displayed, and I felt like I was being transported through different times and cultures. The outdoor spaces were just as impressive—the gardens and the panoramic views of Los Angeles made the visit even more special. It felt peaceful and inspiring at the same time, and I left with a sense of calm and appreciation for art, history, and nature all together. Visiting the Getty was truly unforgettable, and I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to LA.

Located in the heart of Los Angeles, La Brea Tar Pits and Museum is a unique site that offers a glimpse into the Ice Age. The tar pits, filled with black slush called asphalt, have preserved the remains of ancient creatures such as mammoths and Saber-tooth cats. The adjacent museum, Page Museum, displays an impressive collection of fossils including the Huge Colombian Mammoth exhibition and a wall of dire wolf skulls found in the tar pits.
I had always been fascinated by this museum since I was a kid. Loved dinosaurs, love science. Finally got to visit on a trip to the LA area and it is such a cool place. Lots of interested things to see. Beautiful grounds and fantastic displays.
Travis — Google review
A great place to visit for all ages. I recommend taking one of the guided tours as we learned so much more than if we had not. It’s hard to believe the asphalt is still seeping up all over the park. The fossil collection is spectacular. You can also see an excavation site as well as the scientists preserving the fossils.
MJ L — Google review
I found the museum very informative. The decent was a gentleman, he provided us with facts we wouldn't have known without him. The displays were amazing. I was very intrigued that different areas were sprouting up tar and so they put neon green cones by them. The different pits are still be excavated and new animal remains are still being found. We had teens with us and they seemed to be interested in the displays too.
Kaylene D — Google review
Been wanting to visit here for years. The museum was very interesting and not over crowded like i thought it would be. We did not get to observe the excavation as it was later in the day and it had closed.maybe go there first? I found it very unfortunat that the LACMA was clearly being built over areas where there was more to be excavated as they found fossles while building the facility. LACMA is built all around and nearly 10 feet away from the active excavations and tar pits. Otherwise very cool to see. Would recomend.

This museum is like the little sister of the natural history museum, focusing on the fossils found in the tar pits of the area. The space is pretty small and just one loop so you can finish seeing everything in less than 2 hours. They have some pretty neat fossils dating back to the ice age, and lots of interesting information. The entire surrounding area is nice to walk around and check out too.

I had been here a lot times in different seasons but honestly as a local I had never seen this rock kinda structure and alien-like futuristic spot. This is telling me that you never see the whole page when you did not experience everywhere in every corner. So don’t always go far to find sth new! Start from where you are to find what you have missed. I really really enjoyed that afternoon in the gorgeous LA sunlight combining with the most beautiful and natural color (green and blue) in every scene. No fake! No ugly filter, no human commercial. No social and no purpose. It was just pure nature and wilderness. It is the best thing for me and it is free. I am just so sick of fake people and their intention behind. All they want is attention to fulfill their vanity. That is so stupid. Nature is powerful, effortless, and mysterious. Life and its vitality is everywhere if we pay attention to that healthy energy. It is sooooo magical. Isn’t it? I guess that’s why I’d like to share some of honest moments on google maps. It is not commercial or get paid or get sth in return. Just pure my feelings at the moment where I had been and you might be there before too.
Aitana B — Google review
Visited to see something uniquely Southern Californian. Wasn't sure what to expect. Had a great time with my wife and kids. You can see the tar pits (actually asphalt, as the displays explain) for free by just walking around the park. There's a good museum too with fossils on display and a lab where fossils from the tar pits are cleaned. Outside you can see a lot where a crew is excavating into the tar. Not too stinky, if that's a concern. 😉
John M — Google review
We had a great first visit to the target pits. Signs were a little confusing and took us a little to find the entrance, but we did it. They had lots of informational displays in addition to replicas to visualize how the tar pits worked. Inside the museum was a display to be able to see the scientists work on recently pulled fossils. We saw part of a mammoth skeleton. So cool! At many of the inside displays were workers with various bones/skeletons. My kids asked each one questions on the animals. The workers were a wealth of knowledge!

Live music venue
Located in downtown Los Angeles, the Walt Disney Concert Hall is a striking music venue designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry. Built between 1999 and 2003, this avant-garde building boasts unstable geometry and disjointed forms, making it one of the most photographed buildings in the city. The stainless steel architecture creates a visually stunning sight that stands out among other modern structures nearby.
This is the most beautiful hall I’ve ever gotten to view something in. The ornate and detailed wood work and organ are breathtaking. The exterior is also mesmerizing in its self. Staff was very friendly, and helpful when finding your seat. Overall this building is an amazing place to view a concert, play, or other art.
Isaac B — Google review
Will return. Been here a couple of times but never found a concert we liked until today. The first half of the chamber music program featured modern pieces, and the second half was dedicated to Beethoven. It's interesting to note that they performed in the main hall (only half full), instead of the smaller one. The acoustic is gorgeous. The venue is terrific, especially the outdoor garden. They offered little wine prior to the start, and we chatted with a few female concertgoers. The first two ladies are friends, both widowed and living nearby. They suggested Vespiao for dinner. Then two separate females joined us, one Chinese, who said she's on the board of the Library, and confirmed the homeless people using the bathroom at the Central Library. She also insisted on talking to me in Mandarin. ... and the ride to the hotel afterward, the female Uber driver has classical music on -:) thank you!

Absolutely Beautiful💜❤️🩷The concert hall’s architecture is amazing and the high ceilings structure in the interior is perfect for sound/ acoustics. The seating is perfect at any angle and it has comfortable seating for everyone. The woodwork is beautiful on every level. Gaining entrance to the concert hall is really easy and available on every level of the parking structure and on the street level entrance. There’s accessible parking and seating in this building. There's a gift shop, plus areas to buy food and drinks on each level. There's also a beautiful outdoor dining area and a beautiful view of the city. This building has beautiful structures of art, mesmerizing walk ways, and paths around the sitting areas which lead you to explore. There’s an addition for children to explore and experience the arts with a children's stage. The staff is friendly, efficient and very supportive to help with all necessities and getting you to your seat on time. The performers and performances of all of these musical talents will take your breath away. Gustavo Dudamel is absolutely fantastic and of course including all of the musicians giving their best performances. Just watching and listening to everything made me feel mesmerized and so happy to be able to share this experience with others. If you have the chance to see him conduct with so much passion, please do. This is his last season in Los Angeles.

This is our first time visiting the Walt Disney concert hall. The architecture is beautiful, and the overall design of the building is wonderful. If you have never visited the concert hall, please know that the ORCHESTRA VIEW section is behind the stage so you will be enjoying the music from the bands backside. “Orchestra view”means the view the orchestra has facing the audience. Would not recommend this section even if it’s called “orchestra”. Seating is bench style - not individual seats, so it can be crowded and you’ll be sitting arm-to-arm, literally. Would return but only to purchase seating in the center sections.
Alvina H — Google review
What a beautiful place, I don’t think there is a bad seat in the whole concert hall. There is plenty of parking in the underground garage and it is very easy to get up to the entrance. We had a nice experience and I look forward to our next concert. Unfortunately, it is not allowed to take pictures or record video once the concert begins, so I only took a few pictures pre-concert.

Amazing place to visit. I did the self-guided tour and was pretty straightforward. I did it on a Saturday morning and the music hall was open. Super nice!
Bernardo N — Google review
Even without stepping inside, the Walt Disney Concert Hall leaves a lasting impression. I had the pleasure of admiring it every day from my hotel room at the Conrad across the street and it became a favorite part of my LA skyline view. Designed by Frank Gehry, the building’s architecture is truly a masterpiece — with its swooping silver curves and bold futuristic presence. It's captivating from every angle and feels like a sculpture come to life. I didn’t get a chance to attend a performance this time, but just walking around the structure and seeing how it reflects light at different times of day was already a memorable experience. I’d love to return someday to hear the acoustics from within.

This was my third visit to Walt Disney Concert Hall. We attended an astonishing performance of Mahler’s 2nd Symphony by the LA Philharmonic. The hall, designed by famed architect Frank Gehry, is a marvel of form and function that needs to be experienced. Tours are available daily. Don’t miss the garden area on the south and west sides of the building. The acoustics in the concert hall are amazingly clear.

Dodger Stadium, located in Elysian Park and opened in 1962, is a must-visit for baseball fans. With a massive 56,000-seat capacity, it's one of the largest MLB stadiums and has been home to the Los Angeles Dodgers since its inception.
Went to Dodger Stadium for the Dodgers v Blue Jays game 3 of a 3 game weekend series. It was absolutely incredible. With the Stadium being old and full of history it was nothing what I was expecting. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. The stadium was clean. The views from outside looking in to the views inside looking out were beautiful. Some of the Dodgers fans got a little hostile when the Jays took the lead which I get as a sports fan but chanting USA and using course language was a little much as a lot of young kids were around. The cherry on top was the Blue Jays avoiding the sweep in an exciting conclusion for a regular season game.A must visit if you are a baseball fan. Go Jays Go!
Food G — Google review
I went to a game at Dodger Stadium recently, and it was an amazing time. The energy in the stadium is contagious—from the crowd singing along to the national anthem to the excitement building with each pitch, everything felt electric. The stadium itself is iconic. The views are fantastic, especially when the sun starts to set behind the hills. The architecture has a classic charm, you can tell this is a park with history and with character. Food-wise, I got nachos and a beer. Delicious choices, but yes—the prices were steep. Nachos cost more than expected, and the beer wasn’t cheap. Still, consuming them while cheering, surrounded by fans, made it worth it. The amenities and atmosphere were excellent. Plenty of vendors, good sightlines, helpful staff. Even if parking or getting in took a bit of time, once inside it didn’t matter—every moment felt fun. Overall, despite the high cost of snacks and drinks, it was a very fulfilling experience. If you love baseball, camaraderie, and a lively crowd, Dodger Stadium is a must-visit.

A truly fantastic baseball experience from a visiting fan (Phillies). Views inside are fantastic. We had first row seats in the 158 Loge level. Food at the main concourse level is great (garlic fries are a must get). Getting in and out was a breeze, and the fans were awesome. Super cool experience.

An old stadium that just works and has stood up to the test of time! They have so many spots for photo opportunities for you and the family. My one let down was the security gaurd at the gate, he was ultra power trip and couldn't wait to ruin someone's day. Wish I would have gotten a picture hindsight. My buddy was not allowed in with his fanny pack as it didn't fit in the box? He searched it first, then proceeded to demonstrate that it didn't fit, even though it fit. He maneuvered to make it look like it didn't fit and fluffed it to make it look like it didn't fit. Made him walk all the way back to the truck(30minutes away)even after pleading with him. Then when he came back he made him throw away his vape? Been through stadiums and concerts and never seen someone have to throw away their vape. Of course you cannot smoke them but never seen them have to be thrown away. You can even go through airport security with them? There was no talking to this guy so he threw it away(note these are not cheap, around $40) definitely brought the energy down after having start the game experience with this. Some consistency in training and maybe a supervisor readily available in the event there is a question. Just typing this up brings back the level of frustration. Sad. The rest of the experience was dope. Dodger dogs are just part of the experience. Still get to get your ice cream in the baseball helmets and dont forget about the nachos in the bigger helmet! Oh and dont walk to the stadium as the uphill slope is not fun lol. Just park there for $35. (Pro tip)

2nd-best setting in American sports. An iconic stadium dripping in celebrated history around every corner - the Dodgers truly embrace nostalgia. You can bring in unopened water and food in a clear "stadium-size" bag so save yourself money and grab some sandwiches and snacks before going in. Buying food and drinks at the stadium, after paying for the seats, is an adventure in fiscal suicide, but you go because you're a rabid Dodgers fan or baseball fan. Sit at the top of the stadium or in the outfield seats with the true fans, repping Valenzuela jerseys and laughing and cheering throughout the game. Sit in the outfield during a game against San Diego or San Francisco, you won't regret it. The drive to and from the stadium sucks, the prices are insane, but the ambiance of the organ played throughout, the fun-loving fans and the top of stadium views are nearly unbeatable.

I visited the Stadium with my family and had a great experience. The staff was knowledgeable and welcoming, and the team provided excellent care. Parking was simple and convenient, and we were in and out quickly. The only thing I didn’t try was the food, which seemed a bit overpriced, but overall it was a smooth and enjoyable visit.

3rd oldest baseball stadium in the US. Beautifully maintained with lots of memorabilia to see and enjoy, and even a botanical garden. Ample parking and a great views of DTLA and surrounding areas. Take the tour if you can and explore places you normally aren't allowed into.

I want to take this time to make this 5 star review because I was there on 9/20/25 in which it was a good experience and I went with my dad because he won a ticket raffle with Coca Cola. I’ve been a dodger fan for so long that now, I can finally say I was there watching everything live. Everything was well organized that now I want to go watch another game in person. But yeah overall a good experience at the Dodgers Stadium.

OUE Skyspace LA is an open-air observation deck located on the rooftop of the city's tallest building, providing breathtaking 360-degree views of Los Angeles, including its hills, ocean, and distant mountains. Visitors can start their experience with interactive displays on the 54th floor before taking a second set of elevators to access the indoor and outdoor decks spanning levels 69 and 70.
I went here with a friend for her birthday and we had a blast!!! The view made the entire outing worth it and even though there isn't much to do aside from ride the Skyspace slide once, we ended up spending almost an hour and a half in the outdoor area at the end of the slide. We waited until the sunset and the view of the city at night was incredible, one of the most beautiful views I've ever seen. They even had music playing to help with the ambiance and comfortable, almost intimate atmosphere. It was very lovely and I wouldn't mind going again! Perfect spot for a romantic and fun date! ♡

Beautiful view, really neat place to visit, makes for some awesome photo opportunities. There is a clear slide way up on the 70th floor, attached to the side of the outside of the building. I think it’s $8 and takes you down one floor. I did not have the guts to go but my friend did because she isn’t afraid of heights. I couldn’t get past being able to look down at the street so far below. It was still really cool to see. There is seating at an outdoor space and inside which also has a bar.
Aneasha C — Google review
We decided to see what all the hype was about today and on a whim made the trek downtown to go to Slyspace. It’s a little pricey at $33/person (including riding the slide), but the views from the 70th floor were truly breathtaking. I’ve lived in LA for a while now, and this gave me the opportunity to see the city in a way I never have before. There are two outdoor patios with sweeping views of the city. It was even clear enough to see the ocean, which is remarkable. The slide was fun and it was cool to just walk around and take in the views. I’d definitely recommend checking it out.
Chris O — Google review
Pros: Nice place if you love breathtaking views. When you are on 70th floor, other things look so small. There is a glass ride you can take. It's similar to a sloping glass bridge. Ride is optional. You can opt for the ride later too, it's $8. There are some fun activities inside like creating boomerangs and all, you can enjoy, click pictures, shoot videos for fun. Seating place for few is also there on top. A must visit place in LA. Cons: None, glass ride could have been longer to make it more thrilling though. Advice: Counter ticket price is $30 but look for online tickets to get some discount. You can get ~20% discount from tickets online, enquire over the counter before purchasing if they will accept it and are willing to give the discount.
Abhishek B — Google review
Amazing place to get a good view! My only complaint is that this place will still operate when its sprinkling but will not allow its guests to go out on the balcony for pictures. I think that is something that should be stated before the person purchases a ticket. Well other than that the place has good views (from inside) and good selection of drinks. Would like to come back if only to get the balcony experience.
Jessy V — Google review
I haven't been "just for fun" but I photographed a proposal here and it was amazing. My client booked a specific part of the deck and had it decorated and waiting for him and his girlfriend when they arrived and he proposed. The sunset was INCREDIBLE from the view. Definitely a good place to do a romantic proposal. The part of the deck you reserve is blocked off with a rope so other guests can see what's going on but they aren't allowed in your space. People could tell something exciting was about to happen so a crowd formed at the rope and then everyone erupted in applause when he proposed and she said yes. The crowd of people might be intimidating for some, but I think it added to the experience and they were still far enough away to where they couldn't actually hear the couples conversation. The view from the top was amazing. I felt the tickets are bit on the higher side. Also the photographs they click inside are super expensive and not worth it. I bought my pic doing the sky slide which was fun but paying for the printed picture was worthless

I would recommend this spot. 5/5 Cool spot. You get a good view of the surrounding LA area. The space was clean, there's a cool museum going up, and a clear glass slide that takes you down 1 floor to the deck. There's also a bar up there if your up for a cold drink 🍻 or coffee. Bathroom are also pretty clean and well-stocked. There's a parking lot right next to the building.

Great place. The people who work here are so nice, and there is a great view of downtown LA. The room has a nice bathroom, comfortable beds, a menu of foods to order, and even food in the drawer if you need a quick snack (costs money). This place is beautiful. You have to go there and see the panoramic 360 view of Los Angeles on the 70tg floor and sneak into the men's bathroom. They literally per on a glass waterfall window. They are a little snootie here. But we loved our cocktail waitress with a good attitude serving our $6 diet coke. It's a must see!

The Wilshire Grand Center is owned by Korean Airline and has its lagest tenant - InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown - that is open in June 2017 and treats an InterContinental Ambassador very well. It honors (1) a complimentary one catagory room upgrade (Picture 2 and 3); (2) one complimentary Evian water that is chilled in a glass in the room upon check in; (3) a $20 credit per stay and redeemable at any food & beverage outlet or mini bar; and (4) a complementary in room internet accees for the stay; and (5) a 4:00 p.m. late check-out. I had a simple lunch at Dekkadance on floor 69 (Picture ) where you can view the $1 billion Oceanwide Plaza that is under construction by a Chinese giant skyscraper builder (Oceanside) in downtown Los Angeles. This landmark project will be complete by the end of 2020, where a Park Hyatt will be one of the tenant there. It is worth mentioning that the Club Lounge at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown is still the best. The entrance fee at $80.00 for two is well worth it, including all Sprites, Chadon Champion, Cognac (VSOP), breakfast, afternoon tea and happy hours etc. A quick glance of foods & drinks are displayed at picture 6 to 9. It is no wonder the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown is rated as one of the Best Hotels by the U.S. News & World Reports 2019. In summer, this hotel honors and treats the InterContinental Ambassador very well. It is a good place for a weekend retreat.

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) is a renowned 20-acre campus in Miracle Mile, established in 1965. It houses an extensive collection of over 152,000 artworks and features diverse exhibitions. One of its most famous attractions is the Urban Light installation by Chris Burden, consisting of 202 cast-iron street lamps that have become an iconic symbol of the city.
I love visiting the lights at night and seeing the sphere all lit up in the different colors. This is A definite must see location. Add this spot to your list of stops when coming to California. You have the Lacma on one side of the road then the Berlin wall monument on the other with the car museum as well. I'm excited for the new addition to the museum and also the metro station to open up soon. I hope you have the same amount of fun as we did and still do.

If you’re a fan of modern and contemporary art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art is something you can’t miss. The Urban Light installation is one of one of the most recognizable landmarks in Los Angeles which is located at the front of the museum. Inside the museum the galleries are captivating and wide ranging. It’s not the most extensive collection of art, but we did take a few hours to get through everything.

It’s been a minute since I’ve been to LACMA, and even with continuous improvements and renovations, the museum still feels new, open, accessible, and most of all, soooo inspiring and interesting! New (and older) exhibits still feel fresh mostly due to the expansive feeling of each gallery, always giving the art (and guests!) some space to breathe and enjoy the atmosphere and experience. Out of town visitors and locals alike will enjoy the day at LACMA!

There’s a Central America exhibit, Buddhist art exhibit, and plenty of modern art. There’re work being done in the second level and some on the first. The Japanese panel building is also under renovation. The movie museum is closed on the free Tuesday for county folks. Parking is 23 so not bad for a free day visit. The tar pits is also under construction. Saw two buildings now during summer so not bad if you come in a group. Don’t think I’d pay 28/person for what’s on offer, especially with so many exhibits closed. Finally good to see some visual virtual pieces which is already very common in Asia.

Excellent selection and exhibits. I honestly thought this museum was going to be mid compared to other art museums in the world, but it had a good variety and showcased great pieces of art. We went on a weekday at 4 pm and it wasn't crowded at all. It was one of the highlights of our trip 😊

The Dolby Theatre, known for hosting the prestigious Academy Awards, is a modern venue that also accommodates film premieres, shows, and public tours. It has been the home of the Oscars since 2001. Visitors can take a 30-minute walking tour to explore different areas of the theater, including the Dolby Lounge where celebrities relax during shows and where regular guests can take photos with a real Oscar.
Very well organized, all the staff very attentive and helpful, clean, safe, inside the theater grounds. The Cinderella play has its charms, the actors and ballet dancers are outstanding in their costumes and performance, congratulations. Outside on Hollywood Blvd., everything is equally dirty, unsafe, and the homeless are unpleasant. Be very careful when walking around there.
Manuel D — Google review
There's something special about being able to sit in a seat where a celebrity sat just a few weeks ago for the Oscars. Meanwhile, the event you're currently at is to see and hear celebrities on stage for one of the biggest TV shows in U.S. history. I came here to see the cast of "The Handmaid's Tale" at PaleyFest LA and was excited to see 10 of the cast members along with a few of the producers and writers for the series finale. The interview was done by showing a few clips from the show first, then having the cast and crew answer questions about those clips. Towards the end, we got to see a sneak preview clip from the upcoming new season. It's all very well done and thought out, and it feels good to be surrounded by people who are as much into a show as you are. My only complaint is about the parking. I came solely for the event and they didn't validate unless you pay to be a Paley member, so I went to the machine and paid $16. The machine did a weird thing where it just spat out my ticket without confirming it was paid. So I got to the gate where there's another ticket machine and the gate wouldn't open. The employee at the gate said my card must have been declined the first time, so I put my card in again. This time I was charged $18. When I got home, my bank showed that I was charged twice. So now I have to go to the trouble of trying to get my money back. I knew there was something wrong when I saw one of the ticket machines covered up with a sign apologizing that it wasn't working. So overall, great experience with the event, horrible experience with parking.
Tricia A — Google review
First timer, very impressed with the quick service to get in and to get a drink. The parking situation on the way out was a different story. Parking maximum is $20 which is not bad, but leaving after a show, it got very congested, and we were stopped for a good 20-30 minutes. Other than that the service in the actual theatre was great.

Dolby Theater is beautiful! Iconic theater where the Oscars are held. Went for the Summit of Greatness by Lewis Howes inspiring keynote speakers Brendon Buchard, Andrew Huberman, Amy Purdy, Matthew Hussey and Gabrielle Bernstein. Comfy chairs, temp was good, easy to get in and out of your seats to restrooms. Staff was professional and courteous. Concession available in theater. Parking in building. #schoolofgreatness

The Dolby Theatre in Hollywood offers an authentic immersion into the world of cinematic grandeur and live performance. As the iconic home of the Academy Awards, it allows visitors to step onto the very stage where Hollywood legends have received their accolades, feeling the tangible excitement of history. Beyond the glitz, its state-of-the-art Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos technologies deliver an unparalleled audiovisual experience, truly bringing stories to life with a profound sense of realism and spectacle that defines the cutting edge of entertainment.
Yanuar A — Google review
Beautiful theatre. Can see the stage easily from the mezzanine. But bring binoculars if you want to see the performers closely. Nice lobby, with Academy Award photos. Pretty molding. Good security at the event I attended. Also good sound proofing from outside noise. The entrance is at the back of a mall, so there where quick places to eat before the show. The drinks and snacks inside were very expensive. Feels posh.

Nestled in the heart of Los Angeles, Pershing Square is a vibrant modern park that has become a hub for community gatherings and entertainment. With its striking 10-story purple bell tower, this historic site offers an array of summer concerts and events that draw locals and visitors alike. Originally part of the pueblo lands granted to the city in 1781, it has evolved from a military reception area to a lively outdoor concert venue named after World War General John Pershing.
It was a fun afternoon and evening with bands like The Starship and The English Beat

This was a cool place to see a concert! The DJ was on fire! Was so good! Only things that were bad was the area and the parking , so be prepared! Also the cost of a 12 oz beer was $17 ! Crazy ! But over all it was pretty good !
Tana R — Google review
This is the perfect place for summer concerts and to relax. They showcase a variety of different styles and themes of entertainment. The sound of the music can be heard in all directions of the square. The concerts are safe and secure with plenty of security and options to eat and drink while enjoying your favorite music. There are places to sit and dances your heart out throughout the area. It is not expensive to enter; you can get free tickets through the site provided and up grade to ViP for a small fee. The is plenty of parking available for a small reasonably priced fee in the surrounding area and are a short distance away. There is also transportation available throughout the city using the metro, tap, train and uber. The architecture of the surrounding buildings complement each other and those who enjoy observing the older buildings in the neighborhood. The park in general is great for walking and enjoying a moment for yourself.

This review is for the playground at Pershing Square: The playground at Pershing square is a fun one for adults if you have kids. Age appropriate for 5-12, but my 2 year old had a great time here. Definitely a playground for kids who like to climb! I love the city views from this playground, you feel like you’re in the heart of the city. The playground has soft matting on the floor which is perfect to have below the high spider web-like play structure. Nice colorful benches to sit on, and large plastic boulder rocks.

Quick stop walking through, space open and clean. fountains and benches make it easy to pause for a minute. always some energy around, people coming and going, right near dtla towers and the plaza. feels safe and chill even in the middle of the day.

Ice skating during Dec. Staff were friendly and helpful. It’s small so don’t expect a regular size rink. But oh so beautiful looking up at the buildings. Underground parking was $9 flat rate for evening. Places to eat within walking distance. I went on a weeknight. I have no idea how crowded it gets on weekends. You have to buy your tickets in advance and the time slots do sell out. I enjoyed it and I felt it was worth it just for the experience.

If you're in search of a reliable banking experience, look no further than U.S. Bank Branch. After the closure of the Beverly location six years ago, many accounts were transferred to Larchmont, which proved inconvenient for some. This led to a shift towards U.S. Bank Branch for business banking needs, and what a delightful choice it has been! The staff here—Johnny, Marat, Gabby—are not just friendly; they provide exceptional service that makes every visit feel special.
The customer service personnel are very professional and knowledgeable. The banks always look nice and have security. The bank obviously had ongoing education and old school manners. I really feel comfortable at this bank.

After the branch on Beverly closed down 6 years ago, our accounts were assigned to the Larchmont branch. But that branch is too far so we started using this branch for our business banking. Everyone here has been especially kind and helpful: Johnny, Marat, Gabby... I love coming to this branch and I have always received top-notch VIP service here.

The branch manager assistance is so rude. I came in and right away had an attitude . Then the branch manager also had an attitude I felt frightened of how bad his energy was they did not want to hear my issue. I was trying to explain my situation and he just brushed it off waving his hand like get out of here . Gave me a weird feeling I am 62 and do not need this treatment so early in the morning. They sure are not happy because it was 9:30 and were not happy to assist. No wonder my co workers in the us bank building are closing their accounts with us bank. The previous branch managers were so gracious I wasn’t afraid to walk in and ask for assistance. I am working on getting my account transfer to another bank. Not happy.

Located atop LA City Hall, the Peninsula Observation Deck offers stunning views of Los Angeles. Despite some recent vandalism, this deck provides a peaceful and serene experience, especially at night when the ambient sounds of the city fade away and are replaced by the soothing sounds of birds. It's definitely worth a visit for anyone looking to take in breathtaking panoramic views of the city.
Unfortunately, like the Island Observation Deck this one has been vandalized, but this one is less annoying, perhaps. Honestly, this Deck might be the best one once they clean it. You feel absolutely surrounded by water, and the ambient sounds of the city fade as the sounds of the birds surround you. Coming here at night is really peaceful and serene.
David H — Google review
All the observation deck areas offer a lovely escape from the hustle/bustle around a small pond with a dirt trail around it. Egrets, cranes, many types of ducks and geese with glass water. Pretty. With lots of trees, cover, bush and reeds all around the lake. Unfortunately they also all suffer from the same issues as each other and the Basin Reserve itself. And that is, trash. People seem to not care all that much about littering and the parks department doesn't appear capable of keeping it clean. The creek that leads too/from the pond is grows. Luckily the pond itself didn't seem too bad but there are wrappers, cans and general garbage near and around the water. Worth going but sad to see the trash. I recommend going when it's cool but even then there are gnats and bugs flying around everywhere. Partly because it's basically standing water but also because of the litter.
