Bistro
A Taste of Monterey - Wine Market & Bistro is an oceanfront bistro located in a bright and relaxed setting, offering Mediterranean dishes and wine tastings. Despite being tucked away in the 700 Cannery Row complex of shops, it boasts a striking waterside setting, a gorgeous tasting bar, and an extensive catalog of local wines.
ABSOLUTELY amazing!! We wanted an ocean front, chill, delicious lunch. That was exactly what we got (and then some) Lee, that smile is contagious! Robin, your phone call was great and you were so peaceful from start to finish. The binoculars were a seriously incredible touch. The food was delightful. I would love to see a side Cesar salad or something like that on the menu. 10/10 would recommend!!!!!
Moranda M — Google review
It was breath taking getting sat at our table directly over the water! We had a wine flight and beer, but the food smelled amazing! They offer binoculars which were awesome for watching the otters, sea lions and all the birds! So gorgeous and a great selection of wines, all from Monterey County! Will definitely be back!
Jordan L — Google review
Great food and service! We loved every aspect of our time here. We especially enjoyed the grilled panini with mushrooms and goat cheese. Be sure to try the flight of wine samples from local wineries!
James B — Google review
Killed a Hive & Honey Gewurztraminer & a Coastal Carnivore pizza. Just a wonderful afternoon watching the harbor seal, seal lions, & otters. Truly a Taste of Monterey! Love this casual spot to take a breath of life.
Dan W — Google review
Amazing views, great service, great wine. My group had an amazing time here. They also had live music which was great. Highly recommend.
Victoria — Google review
They had a live guitarist/singer that was amazing. Good selection of wine and flatbread was excellent. With all that an amazing view.
Gary P — Google review
My favorite view on Cannery Row. I took my bestie here for her birthday tonight and the view was unreal, arguably the best along the whole stretch. Everyone tonight was so friendly and genuine, and the chef absolutely nailed it. The food hit the mark, and the whole night just felt natural and enjoyable. We also were told they have live music on Thursdays and Fridays, so we’re already planning to bring friends and come back for that.
Catherine P — Google review
We had a very positive experience when doing the wine tasting here during Monterey Car Week. Hope to be back next year ✨

Located in the beautiful region of Monterey County, Wrath Wines- Winery Tasting Room offers an exceptional wine tasting experience. The winery is known for its excellent selection of pinot noir and is a must-visit for wine enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy a warm welcome from the knowledgeable and friendly staff, who offer three different tasting options to choose from. The inviting atmosphere and top-notch service make it a great destination for both experienced wine connoisseurs and first-time tasters alike.
Very very friendly staff. More than generous with allowing for tastings of various wines. Tasting room is very dog friendly. Obviously centered around customer experience. We enjoyed our flight and glass of Pinot. We will definitely come back if we end up in the area again.
Jake S — Google review
I love the wines here, recently went back to try something new. Absolutely loved the Pinot ( KW RANCH), we finished the bottle. Luckily, the EX wines were on sale & I got a case. The scenery is always a plus.
Brenda T — Google review
Traveling from SF or San Jose? Head south! Worth the journey! Bring a packed lunch, sunscreen and a full tank of gas. My family and friends were visiting out of town and they had a blast. Kristen and Alex made them feel at home. The pinot noir selection is fantastic! Sabrine Rodems is definitely bringing Monterey county into the spotlight. If you have time, try their wide range of pinots. Theres the winemakers, the single vineyards and the EX stainless collection. Inspired by Led Zeppelin and ancient Rome, this family owned winery blends those ideas into their wines. Once you inhale that aroma, you’ll understand. The intensity and wrath is there! Def try the single vineyard tasting, you won’t regret it.
Susie W — Google review
Excellent wine!! And the ambiance is top notch! One of my favorites.
Lucia P — Google review
Sadly they were closed on our visit due to a water emergency. We bought bottles to go hoping it was tasty. Overall the wine was tasty. If I'm every back in the area again I'd love to visit again for a tasting.
Ellie M — Google review
It was our first-time wine tasting in Soledad; we usually go up north for wine tasting but wanted to try out the area since it's close by. Wrath Wines was our first stop, and the staff was extremely friendly and welcomed us as soon we entered the tasting room. There are three wine-tasting options to choose from, Ex Tasting ($20), Winemakers Tasting ($25) & Single Vineyard Tasting ($30). We decided to do the Single Vineyard Tasting to try the best of what the estate had to offer. Once we walked outside, we were amazed by the beautiful views outside. We sat down and sipped on our wine, and we all enjoyed our first taste! We got prosciutto to snack on. We were going to get the charcuterie board, but after seeing the big portion size, we didn't want to fill up so quickly. Their food options are well worth it all around! We were there for about two hours, and we didn't realize how fast time had passed. The staff was very knowledgeable of all their wines and did a fantastic job giving a very detailed description of each wine. I regret not purchasing any wines, but I plan on purchasing some on my next visit, which will be very soon!

Comanche Cellars is a small winery located in Monterey, offering private tastings in their cellar nestled in the Monterey hills. The winery produces a variety of wines including Syrah, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon handcrafted from neighboring vineyards. Visitors can enjoy a relaxed and fun guided excursion through the winegrowing process while learning about the great vineyards that contribute to Comanche Cellars' wines.
After 9 years in this wine rich part of California, Comanche Cellars is the go to spot! The wine is not only fantastic but the people and employees also make it a special experience. The employees (Angela, Jeff and Lindsay, just to name a few!) cultivate the most welcoming environment whether you are coming in for studying, work, or socializing. Honestly it always feels like coming home :) You are bound to make incredible spontaneous connections within the community as well!
Caite J — Google review
I've lived in the area a while now and finally found this great winery tasting room! The staff was super friendly and the wines were very good. I especially liked the Pinot Noir, I have a weakness for a good Central Coast Pinot! I also enjoyed the Grenache and Barbera. We tried a charcuterie board which paired very well with the wine, the spiced pecans were amazing. We will be back!
James H — Google review
Comanche is our go to wine and date night spot! The team is so lovely (shout out to Lindsay, Angela, and Jeff!) and always make us feel welcomed. Bingo night is one of our favorites, featuring dad jokes and the chance to win a gift card. They also host other events like trivia, library wine tastings, and paint your pet nights. I can’t recommend this place enough! P.S. - The pet nat wine is our FAVORITE and we can’t wait for it to come back!!
Jeanette B — Google review
This is the perfect spot to stop by and do an indoor wine tasting. The whole staff is very welcoming and friendly. I got today's flight and a charcuterie board and had one of the best wine experiences. They are pet friendly! The prices are great! I recommend stopping by if you're in the area; they also accept walk-ins! I'll definitely be coming back!
Joel F — Google review
Loved the wines! Thank you to Angela & the guy that came in at 2pm (sorry, forgot your name!) for dealing with an extremely difficult customer. Service was fantastic, wines were delicious, really great people working here.

Had the best night here. Big shout out to the hosts. You have converted me to California wine. Thanks so much. See you soon. Emma and Chris.

Come try some great wines at Comanche Cellars on Alvarado St. This small batch tasting room has some great varietals that are sure to not disappoint. Try the “La Vaquera” for sure or the Riesling which definitely surprises! If you’re lucky you’ll meet one of the most humble human beings you’ll ever meet, the owner and wine maker, Michael Simons. What a great guy!! Great place to get a glass of wine in a fun and relaxing atmosphere!! If you don’t enjoy wine try a Ratel Cider while there with someone who does enjoy wine. Just a good place run by good people. Michael enjoys lost varietals that you can only enjoy in Monterey County all side by side such as a Barbera, Tempranillo, Carignane, Albariño, and other Spanish lost wines and blends. Check them out!

Nestled in the former Chateau Julien Wine Estate, Folktale Winery & Vineyards offers a unique and enchanting setting for wine enthusiasts. The winery's focus on producing bright and acidic varieties sets it apart from others in the area. It is also a sought-after venue for weddings, with options ranging from intimate elopements to grand celebrations. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings paired with light fare and take in the picturesque surroundings of the Vineyard house.
As a solo guest I had a wonderful time! The vineyard is beautiful with beautiful landscaping. I did not go on the tour, but I was able to enjoy the flatbread pizza and reserve wine flight. The pizza was delicious! It's definitely a mist try. I had the BBQ chicken. Lots of flavor, the crust cooked to perfection and the fresh cilantro was a great finishing touch. The flights were great! Such a big pour for the flights, I honestly couldn't finish it😅. Excellent customer service! The ladies were accommodating, I needed lots of sun. There is an outdoor veranda that's nicely shaded and several umbrellas. I really enjoyed the live music, food and relaxing!
Danielle S — Google review
I cannot say enough great things about Folktale! The tasting room is a super nice place to relax, the food is wonderful, the servers are great, and it's very dog friendly! I consider myself a bit of a wine snob and can honestly say I LOVE all Folktale wines- we are proud members of the wine club. My husband and I also had the perfect experience of having our wedding here, we were married on the Rose Vineyard, and had our reception at the Vineyard House. It was an absolutely beautiful place, everyone had a great time, and the food was great! Couldn't have picked a better spot.
Tara B — Google review
Is you have the chance don't pass up a visit to Folktale! We got there on a busy Saturday but they managed to find us a nice table. After hearing it was out first visit out waiter (Nick) brought us a complimentary taste of their rose sparkling wine which was very good. We are Pinot Noir fans so we ended up buying a bottle of that and some food. The Pinot was delicious, light but full of flavor. The grounds are magical at sunset and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Will definitely return.
Steve H — Google review
Very nice and dog friendly. We love the decor and vibes of the place. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Food was good. They even have 3 different options for dogs. They should have a doggie menu. We almost didn’t ask.
Shamrock W — Google review
We love visiting Folktale Winery because of the beautiful setting and great service. We are members and we appreciate being greeted with a glass of champagne and complimentary wine. The menu is great with many choices and great presentation- ingredients are frequently local and very fresh. Our favorites include salads, artichoke dip, octopus, hummus. Our kids love pepperoni, pizza. It is great that our children can play around the lawn area and play corn hole , having a good time as well. This is definitely a great benefit for parents and families with children. We had several celebrations at the winery and every time they went smooth and the staff made us feel special (Dan and Daniel are amazing, Jesus is doing a great job too!). We love pick up parties, even though lately kids were not allowed to join, which is sad, because it makes it much more difficult for us to come. But overall, it’s always a great experience in a beautiful setting. Beautiful sunsets are complimentary:-)
Tatiana M — Google review
Folktale Winery is SUCH a special place! The consideration and hospitality of the team is what set this place apart and is why I joined the Wine Club. Free glasses / flights every time I come in?! Yes, please! First of all - the atmosphere of the Wine Garden is unlike any "tasting room" in the Carmel area. The beautiful space and idyllic chateau create the perfect backdrop for any celebration. The wines themselves are bright and ready to drink on these late summer days. Nat, the winemaker, seems to always be around the property or walking through the garden, eager to chat and show off some of their latest wines. What creativity! I've found wine varietals and styles at Folktale that I've never heard of before, and they keep bringing more in! As you might imagine, in a space as beautiful as this, the wine labels themselves are works of art. Clearly the space itself is worth a look just for its beauty! ...but the real magic is in the people that bring Folktale Vineyards to life. My Wine Educator sat with us as they took us through our flight and chatted not only about the wine but about us. It was personal. I learned about the wines, about the community, and the family that is Folktale. The kitchen served up some AMAZING food - that Sweet Heat pizza is fire! And I think I could enjoy the Spinach and Artichoke Dip everyday forever! Big thank you to the team for such a great experience!! I'll see you next weekend for some live music in the garden, great food with the best wine tasting, and excellent company!
Andrea R — Google review
I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch at Folktale Winery & Vineyards. It was a sunny day so I ate on their patio which has umbrellas to provide shade. I had the artichoke dip with their recommended White Witch wine, a blend of Roussane, Marsanne, Grenache Blanco and Viognier. The artichoke dip was excellent, served with warm, lightly toasted bread. I chose Folktale because they serve food with their wine which helps metabolize the alcohol before hitting the road. My waiter/education expert informed me that they have live music every week so check out their website for details.
Linda C — Google review
We had an amazing experience at Folktale Winery & Vineyards. We came for a tasting after reading such good reviews and checking out the website. Everything was better than we hoped. Our server, Nick, was very helpful talking about each wine for our tasting. His recommendations were fantastic and really paired well with the charcuterie board we enjoyed. The best wine was the Ode to the Sea - highly recommend! We also had the clam chowder, which was surprisingly excellent. Unfortunately, we arrived just as the band was winding down for the night, but it would have been great to enjoy that atmosphere as well.

Seventh & Dolores is a unique blend of an elevated steakhouse and Scandinavian design, offering upscale quarters for enjoying steakhouse fare, sustainable seafood, and local wines. The restaurant provides an airy and modern dining room where guests can savor expertly prepared steaks alongside top-notch sides and starters.
Car week was packed ! Even so, the staff at seventh and Dolores was 5 Star⭐️ we had a few entrees to wait for and the manager was so kind that he offered us a full bottle of champagne as a courtesy for our wait. The steak was amazing , friends had burger , short ribs, oysters , Calamari, drinks and great salad 🥗choices. It’s not easy running a marathon for 10 full days serving all the visitors than own exotic cars , this steak house delivered wonderful hospitality and atmosphere. They don’t need my review to be put on a map , however I’m happy to report they totally deserve it. Thank you guys for all the hard work you made our night so enjoyable. Jesse
Jesse G — Google review
We visited the bar for a drink. The cocktails were really good, but the bill left a very sour aftertaste. The waiter recommended a “large ice cube” without mentioning that it costs an extra $2. This unexpected charge showed up on the receipt – for us, that feels like a rip-off. Transparency should look different: if something costs extra, the staff should clearly point it out. A real shame, because of this we cannot recommend the bar and will not return.
Melanie S — Google review
We chose Seventh & Dolores for our second wedding anniversary dinner, and had a really great night. They surprised us with two complimentary glasses of champagne 🥂 a sweet gesture that set a celebratory tone. We sat outdoors under the heat lamps and fire pits, which made for a cozy, romantic vibe. ✨ We ordered the Seafood Tower that had shrimp, oysters, tuna tartare, grilled octopus, and caviar, plus a white red & bleu salad and a massive tomahawk steak (around 40 oz) with broccolini. For dessert, we went with the Copa Banana cocktail, the Bougie Pear Cocktail, and the Valrhona Chocolate Terrine. Now, this dessert... layered chocolate decadence topped with honeycomb. So damn good The seafood tower had highlights. Oysters were fresh, tartar was delish, shrimp was juicy, and the caviar was a nice touch, we definitely did some caviar bumps 😆. The octopus was a little on the salty side for me, but the texture was perfect. The tomahawk was a showstopper. We ordered it rare and it delivered. We even joked about taking the bone home to grill and gnaw on later 😆. Cocktails & Desserts were next-level. The Copa Banana had that espresso-banana vibe that hit just right. Next time, I'm ordering that UP. The Bougie Pear was exactly what my wife wanted. That Valrhona Chocolate Terrine though…easily one of my favorite bites of the night. Our server & bussers were friendly, attentive, and had great recommendations. The atmosphere was upscale but not stuffy. Vibrant, playing some beats I like. What an enjoyable evening all around. Pricey? Yeah. Regrets? None. Would we go again? Absolutely. Next time, I’m going for the filet mignon 👀🤤
Candy N — Google review
Phenomenal bar and great steakhouse. They have a good collection of wines, bubbles, hard liquor and cocktails. Food was great right from the starters to maincourse and the dessert 🍮! It has a very lively bar. It has outside seating and indoor seating. Overall it has great atmosphere.
Ash S — Google review
Bad food, good service. We ordered a sea bass, wet aged ribeye, Napa, and octopus. Regardless the high price which is understandable due to location, the food is bad. I can tell that the Napa dish is trying push for the pumpkin creamy sweet and black vinegar sour Mediterranean fusion flavor. But there’s just too little pumpkin sauce and too much vinegar as if they poured half bottle onto it. For the octopus, the portion is too small for a shared appetizer (1 tiny octopus leg) and it’s overcooked so meat is a bit rubberly. For the steak, it’s not overcooked but not juicy. My guess is that they probably use oven to cook it and the chef used thermometer in a way that got all the juice from the steak out. The sea bass is the best dish, nicely cooked and great sauce (could be too sweet for non Americans). Overall I won’t recommend. If fogo de chao open there, this place will lose business in a month unless they start changing.

Unbelievable dinner, the pork chop is incredible and the ribeye was great too. Highly recommend. Sundays 50% off wine as well!
Veronica C — Google review
I mean this is a great restaurant and the food is very well presented. I really love the atmosphere and the service is great. The food though, are all a bit too salty. Especially with no bread it was a bit too flavourful for me - the onion soup, the lamp and the duck, all a bit too salty.
Drew S — Google review
This place was good. As someone who is not particularly motivated by meat, I found the options to be varied and good nods to California cuisine. I ordered fish and it was quite good! The halibut was cooked well and was juicy. The star of the dish was the ravioli, though. I would here constantly if they served big bowls of this Ravioli. Truly excellent. Maybe they have a future as a pasta spot? I think there could have been some restraint in the presentation of the food. A little less garnish, a little less sauce, a few less ingredients. I think if the chef were to pull back a bit and really focus on the flavors of the ingredients, it could be a truly excellent establishment. Additionally, a few of the items served in bowls came out with food dripping down the sides. At the price point, everything should be pristine. It takes only a little bit of care to ensure a seamless presentation. It's definitely something that should be addressed by the kitchen. The service was good, if a little too good at times, with very eager waiters. I figure in this area people prefer a more hands-on experience whereas I prefer a more hands-off experience. Just a personal preference. They were all very kind and great at their jobs. The atmosphere is somehow lacking, despite the beautiful building. Though I don't think I will ever eat here again personally, it's a good spot worth the stop if you're into this type of food.

On our first visit to Carmel Valley, we discovered a charming, boutique tasting room that immediately caught our eye with its unique name and inviting vibe. Curious, we decided to step inside—and we’re so glad we did. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with their warm hospitality and enthusiasm. They guided us through the tasting options with detailed explanations, allowing us to fully appreciate the craftsmanship behind each pour. As we sampled a variety of wines, we learned about the winemaking family’s story and passion, which added a meaningful connection to each glass. The standout for me was their Cyrano red blend—an elegant fusion of Merlot and Syrah. Rich, smooth, and full of character, it’s a wine I’ll definitely be coming back for. The label design also deserves a mention: sophisticated with a modern flair, it features a nod to Cyrano de Bergerac, tying in cleverly with the winery’s slogan, “The nose knows.” Overall, this tasting room is a hidden gem in Carmel Valley—a perfect blend of excellent wine, thoughtful storytelling, and a memorable atmosphere. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth a stop.

Such incredible red wines!! This was my first stop in Carmel but I felt like I didn’t event need to visit any other tasting rooms afterwards. Their wines have so much depth, the ambiance is warm and inviting, and the team was super friendly. The owner was visiting while I was there and it was great to briefly chat and laugh with him too. Beautiful prints of the matriarch’s quilt work! I’ll be back…for sure. <3

We dropped in without a reservation at 4:45, not realizing they close at 5. Despite their tastings ending at 4:15, they were more than willing to accommodate us for a tasting and did not rush us. All of the ladies were very kind, very informational, and overall curated a great experience for us. Their wines were spectacular. I'm not typically into red wines, but I thoroughly enjoyed their red flight. I highly recommend you check them out!

This is a very small tasting room but their Pinot Noir makes up for the confined space! They are generous with their tastings and they offer a 10% military discount. The tasting room is centrally located and it's a great place to hangout while you plan your next move in carmel.
Julian L — Google review
Great music; OK wine. May have been better but hostess was clearly not into hosting. Ambivalent attitude started with a nose of indifference and an acidic finish that lingered for two blocks after leaving.
Murray F — Google review
This was my least favorite tasting of everything in Carmel-by-the-Sea. If the service was better the wine might have been better too. Not recommended if you’re a solo taster.

Wonderful little tasting room with excellent wines at great prices

This is a very gun, lively tasting room. We loved the music, the pinot noir. and the staff was very friendly, without being pushy

Situated in the heart of Cannery Row, visitors can enjoy wine tastings and tours while also having the opportunity to participate in classes.
Took some friends here for a wine tasting, the woman servicing us was so informative even though we knew absolutely nothing about wine. Even taught us some tricks on smelling both ends of the glass! I wish I could get the membership since all the wines were lush
Bethan D — Google review
Great little tasting room located in Cannery Row. Staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable about the wines and meads being served. We did a mead tasting, which were all really good. Favorites were the mulled mead and the raspberry. Definitely worth checking out if your sightseeing or passing through.

Kiki and Dash took great care of us! The wines were great, we especially loved the Pinot Noir, and Kiki made us feel like old friends.
Sarah D — Google review
My mom and I just took our vacation to Monterey and of course I was looking for some wine tasting to do. This place has a lot of unique wines to try. Dash was very helpful and spent a lot of time with us going over each wine and helping us decide what to try. If you’re looking for a lowkey wine tasting experience I highly recommend this place.
Lana G — Google review
Menu does a great job of discribing each flavoe you will taste. Very helpful and friendly staff. They have a monthly membership and they have some great deals that way. Jim and Marcie knew their wines well and we're great at answering questions as well as convincing us to get a membership

Nestled in the heart of Carmel Valley, The Wine House is a delightful destination crafted by sisters Rachel Beshoff and Charlotte Beshoff Joyce, alongside her husband Russell Joyce, a second-generation winemaker. This rustic-chic venue offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for locals and visitors alike. Guests can enjoy wine by the glass or bottle while savoring elevated New American shared plates like grilled cheese with sun-dried tomato pesto and flavorful meatballs.
Always an excellent local wine selection on the menu. Lovely outdoor seating. We love visiting this place all summer long.

Pretty limit selection of wine based on the name of the place. The star of this place is the outside patio. A side benefit is that it shares a parking lot with Joyce and Scratch wineries.
Gary F — Google review
The place is a jewel in the heart of 831 and Carmel Valley. Comparable to an Oasis. Service is excellent and options for beverages and food. Service is excellent and the natural ambience that is set is beyond words to put in perspective unless experienced in person. With friends, family or just to escape the hectic lifestyle by yourself is totally worth it.

Good beer and wine selection, great outdoor patio area!

This was a great way to wrap up our wine tasting in Carmel Valley. You order at the counter, then take your number and find a place to sit. They will bring the food out to you, but you are on your own for keeping your water filled and getting napkins, utensils, etc. The food was simple (grilled cheese with sun dried tomato pesto and the side of meatballs), but the quality and taste were on point. Two of us split these, and we each had a glass of wine (great selection of area wineries). It was recommended to by Pyper at Sardine Factory, and we thank her for that.
JP — Google review
I was really excited to try this place. Nice atmosphere, attentive server. Wine was local, my beer was from Maine. Our server informed us that they had a special dish served with Corralitos sausages. It sounded good so we ordered it. It came with two sausages, a few pieces of bread, mustard, a small pile of wilted arugula, and pickled vegetables. The sausage was good, not great. (Our drinks were reasonably priced, $6 beer, and $12 glass of rose.) Here is the crazy part, the two sausages were $24!! That’s the price of a seafood entree. Felt pretty ripped off. Also, we had our dogs, but it was pretty hot out and we did not see any water bowls for dogs. Luckily, we bring a cup for our dogs. We were also excited because they have live music on Saturdays, but, of course, the Saturday we go, they don’t have any. Go for drinks, but pass on the food. Also, bring water for your dog. Not sure if we will go back. If I want a drink, maybe I’ll just hang at a wine tasting room.

Bernardus Lodge & Spa is a luxurious resort nestled in the Carmel Valley, offering an opulent ranch estate experience. The boutique hotel spans 28 acres of stunning gardens and vineyards, providing a lavish retreat. Guests can indulge in premium rooms equipped with fireplaces, complimentary wine bars, king featherbeds, Italian linens, and spacious soaking tubs.
We had an outstanding stay at Bernardus Lodge & Spa. My husband and I came here for a getaway while our kids were at camp and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The food at Lucia was amazing for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The room was incredibly spacious and housekeeping was top notch, especially the turn down service where they turned on the heated floors in our bathroom. Such a treat to come back to. The adults-only jacuzzi area was peaceful and had a beautiful view and the location was very convenient for going out sightseeing or to dinner in Carmel-by-the-Sea. We can’t wait to come back!
Tori P — Google review
Really great experience here. Really enjoyed our stay. Had massages, but the added in 25% gratuity after we had already done a cash tip. The 25% was removed. Other than that, all was good here. Id definitely come back for a visit. Maybe 2 or 3 nights, not the 1 night I did.
Tim S — Google review
This is one gorgeous property in the valley. We attended a wedding and it was stunning. With that being said, the food was not consistent plate to plate. Some plates were cooked and presented differently for no specific reason. The food was epically delicious, but weird how it was not consistent. This was the first time I ever experienced this at a wedding. Some of the creme brulee were lacking crunch, and other plates were missing herbs and seasonings. The wait staff was unpleasant and did not smile. The staff was simply there to do a job. Iron this out, and it's 5 stars all around.
Thomas H — Google review
I’m not sure if I’ve ever done an online review, but this stay was so amazing that I’m writing this in the car on the way home. The property is so beautiful, from the AMAZING rose garden to the bocci ball lawn to the surrounding Santa Lucia mountain views. The hotel and staff are so so attentive and friendly and go above and beyond to make their guests happy and comfortable. A glass of wine at check in, in room snacks and more wine! Making sure your food is prepared exactly how you would like it. The food and drinks are all decadent and amazing. The spa and pool are luxurious and our massages were wonderful. I could go on and on. We can’t wait for our next trip here. I can’t believe it took us so long to come stay here. Special shout out to Ben and Miguel in valet. Audrey in the spa, and Eric at the bar. So friendly and fun to chat with. There are more names I can’t remember but the personalities of the staff put a big bow on top of an amazing stay. See you soon!
Heather R — Google review
Nice place but they were doing construction so it was kinda of hard to get to. The breakfast was good. The amenities are nice but the rooms were kind of small 3 adults. I was expecting something closer to the beach/town. My bad for not looking closer at the location.
Timothy D — Google review
Beautiful spot. Every aspect is designed perfectly to make you feel a certain zen, surrounded by beautiful views and maintained gardens. Still offers enough to do around the property and nearby town that you don't feel stuck at a spa-only experience. Perfect blend, and a great value.
Matthew E — Google review
If your looking to get away and need some top notch amenities and service I suggest this beautiful place. From the time you get their at checkin, you are created with a glass of wine. The room was gorgeous with a big bathtub and fireplace. Their really is no need to even leave the place. They offer great drinks, food from the restaurant. They also have a heated pool, multiple hot tubs. Pool and hot tubs are 24hr access.
Cesar T — Google review
I so wanted this to be a 5 star resort (especially for the price per night) but it simply is not. I booked this for a solo recharge getaway and although the setting and everything is beautiful, it doesn’t equal top notch. Pros: beautiful hilly view winery setting. Spacious rooms. Live music at brunch and in the evening. Warm pool. Nice facilities. They let you borrow a cute car for 4 hours to take for a drive. Cons: every question is answered with a no (a nice enough no but never a yes). Breakfast was at most 2 stars in terms of quality of food (service was nice enough). Rooms have an old smell to them. I was on the bottom floor and getting sleep was impossible due to the noise from people walking above. The pool service is non existent. The guy won’t even bring you the menu or water - do it yourself type of attitude. When they let you borrow a Mercedes (marketing deal) they make you fill it back up with gas (like they can’t afford to do it themselves?). I drove maybe 20 miles and ended up overfilling - should they refund me? lol. Carmel has many gorgeous spots for half the price which I would recommend. If this was $400-500 per night range, I would say maybe. But at almost $1k per night for the cheapest room - absolutely not.

Nestled in the heart of Carmel Valley, Twisted Roots Winery is a delightful destination for wine enthusiasts. This charming winery offers an array of estate-grown wines that can be savored either on their beautifully renovated back patio or within the inviting adobe-style tasting room, which echoes the architectural charm of early California missions. The atmosphere here is both relaxed and welcoming, making it an ideal spot to unwind with a glass of wine while soaking up the sun.
This is one of the best wine tasting rooms in the valley. The Zinfandel and Petite Sirah were amazing. JK was a great host and gave us really informative backstories and descriptions about each wine. We really enjoyed our experience and are our looking forward to coming back. Twisted Roots was the highlight of our trip to Carmel! What a hidden gem!

Twisted Roots Winery was such a standout. We did a tasting and felt like royalty the whole time—great service, even better wine. They brought in charcuterie boards, and every wine came with a story that made it even more enjoyable (seriously, don’t miss the stories). The bubbly rosé is a must-try, and if you’re into wine clubs, check out their membership. This place knows how to make wine feel special without making it stuffy.

Twisted Roots is one of my favorite spots in Carmel Valley. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a great glass of wine - even better if the sun in shining and you can enjoy their adorable patio. Josh and Julie, the owners, have created something special here, and it shows in both the experience and the wine itself. The staff, Jon Karlo and Aubrey, are not only knowledgeable but also genuinely warm and welcoming. Every pour is excellent, and the location only adds to the charm. Definitely a must-visit if you're in the area!

Absolutely hands down the best winery I've ever been to. Every wine was amazing no matter what type, and I've tried them all - - due to their generous military discount and bring-your-own-food (or pet!) policy. They have fantastic club parties on a regular basis with abundant spreads of food and wine tasting, all free for members. The relaxed ambiance, quality flavors, and excellent service will keep us coming back no matter where we live!

Very nice people and jk is the best host ever. Will definitely come back. Also great wine.

An exceptional experience! Wonderful knowledgeable staff! Wines taste so much better with the love and passion behind it. I was more into whites and rosés. This was the place that switched my pallet to enjoy reds. Will definitely visit whenever I can!!!

We had a lovely time! The staff was so kind and attentive, and we got to enjoy lovely live music while we sat on the patio in perfect weather. We also had our toddler with us and our server JK even brought some fish food for our daughter to feed the fish. It’s one of my new favorite places to come, and I’ll definitely be bac!
