Our first visit won't be our last. Delicious tasty food. My granddaughter enjoyed her waffles and hot chocolate. We joined a queue when we arrived fortunately we didnt have to wait long to be shown to our tabke.. Staff said they are always busy..which can only be a good sign. Will call ahead and book for our second visit. Reasonable prices lovely atmosphere. Outdoor seating also.

Absolutely amazing breakfast/brunch. We both had the Fab Five Freddy, the portion size was really good, food was tasty and fresh. Definitely will be returning. Great service and vibe. Thank you!

Excellent food, lots of choice, big portion sizes. Good service, efficient and friendly staff. Busy at lunch (we expected it)

Excellent this is our second visit in a matter of weeks. First visits was for my daughter birthday..then my son enjoyed it so much we came back and I had the pancake stack with berries and mascarpone, unreal so filling and delicious. Vegetarian eggs Benedict my daughter ordered on both occasions and she loved it. My son was made to feel so special for his birthday too

Unbelievable food, would definitely recommend visiting. Our server Caitlin was really friendly and lovely and the service was quick and the food fresh and delicious.
James B — Google review
Lovely food cooked by Emily with very genpurous portion sizes. Exceptionally busy which shows its popularity but we were quickly served and a table made ready for us. Service from Alice was exceptional, so friendly and very chatty which added to our lovely experience. For anyone who is wondering Alice is from Florida so a genuine American which just adds to the authentic experience of eating at Moose 😊.

First time visitor to Liverpool, and this restaurant was highly recommended to us for breakfast. It absolutely did not disappoint at all. Very large portions, prompt service, and delicious eggs Benedict! Recommend the cheese, pancakes and cappuccino as well. Joey, our server, was friendly, made great recommendations, and made sure our order was perfect.

Breakfast restaurant
Leaf on Bold Street is a charming split-level cafe bar in Liverpool, housed in an old cinema building. It's renowned for serving one of the best breakfasts in the city, offering a diverse range of options including full English breakfast, vegan and veggie choices, and unique dishes like smoked haddock and dill fish cake. The cafe also boasts an extensive selection of specialty teas from around the world, with over 60 rare loose leaf varieties available.
We came for brunch. It was quite busy at the time, but there were plenty of seats available, including upstairs, so we were quickly seated. The service was warm and friendly. I really liked the rustic-themed interior design, and the background music was pleasant to listen to. There was a wide variety of menu options, with different brunch and lunch selections. We ordered dishes we had never tried before — sweet items served in a savoury style — and they use halal chicken. We didn’t have to wait long for our food. The presentation was appealing, and the dishes were very flavourful. I noticed an Asian touch in the bread and butter pudding I had. I really enjoyed it at first, though by the end the portion felt a bit too much for me to finish alone. The main reason I chose this restaurant was because they offer matcha latte on the menu, but unfortunately I didn’t find the matcha flavour particularly strong or distinctive. The service was fast and efficient. It’s no surprise they have many loyal customers.
Maudi A — Google review
I have never been to an establishment where all of the waiting staff were impersonal, borderline rude. The waitress could not be bothered (being polite) to divide the bill to our request. The presentation and the portion size of the food we were all served was of low standard with zero presentation. The toilets stunk of heavy urine like one would smell on a dual carriageway lay by. This establishment is definitely not value for money or service. There is also 7.5% automatic service charge! There are plenty more establishment's nearby whom would appreciate your custom. Would not recommend.
Ergun S — Google review
When here for the first time, lady at the front was friendly and helpful, after that a young Asian lady took over, and it went downhill from there. Her voice was barely audible. She did not add jam as a side to the order for toast nor butter, nor did she convey that different bread was available but costed more, or soya also costed more, either way when we sought clarification for the bread from another server, the manager turned up at our table, his attitude was quite belligerent as was his stance. He didn't even resolve the situation as he forgot to add the order, which actually favoured us. The jam should not have been an issue but naturally Leaf made it one. The food was good, so the sourdough toast and jam was excellent, as was the taste of the scrambled egg on granary bread, albeit the egg was cold. The flatwhite was good equally. The bill already had a service charge added, to which we asked for this to be removed as the level of service provided did not merit this charge. Even though the food was good I would not dine here again, sadly the worst service I have encountered for a long time, with a turnip of a manager not dealing with a situation in a calm manner. Staff not trained properly.

Visited here for the first time whilst visiting Liverpool. The staff were very polite, food was tasty and we didn't have to wait long. Good atmosphere and the restaurant was clean and tidy. Would highly recommend

The place was crowded as usual, but service was still prompt and everyone was very friendly. Food was delicious. I really enjoyed the Scouse.
Jean N — Google review
I was really excited to try Leaf. I’d heard great things and the place definitely looks lovely inside, with a nice vibe and a cool, laid-back atmosphere. We were a party of four, and after a bit of a wait (understandable since it was busy), we finally got to order. Two of us got exactly what we asked for, but I had ordered the falafel on sourdough and was instead brought a falafel flatbread. When I pointed it out, the waiter took the plate away, only to return a couple of minutes later insisting that it was what I ordered and that the flatbread was actually sourdough. She even said I could have an extra slice of sourdough on the side if I wanted. I had to explain (very politely!) that this didn’t make sense at all, especially since I could literally see that it was the exact same flatbread my friend had ordered—but with falafel instead of chicken. Turns out, they’d merged mine and my friend’s orders into one dish somehow. Meanwhile, my friend who had ordered the chicken flatbread was still waiting, and it took another 20 minutes for hers to arrive. By the time she got her food, the rest of us had already finished eating, so what was meant to be a quick lunch turned into a 2+ hour ordeal. To be fair, the food was tasty and they did take one dish off the bill, which we appreciated. But the whole experience was a bit disappointing—especially being told with a straight face that the most flatbread-looking flatbread was actually sourdough (lol). Overall, nice spot and good food, but probably best to avoid during peak busy times unless you’re happy to take your time (a lot of it).

Booked in here for first date day meal following the birth of our son, having done the same after our daughter was born a few years back. Apart from the wait to be seated when there were a large number of empty tables ready to be used the service was good. Once seated drinks and food orders taken quickly. Coffees arrived very quickly and food shortly after. Neither disappoint and make up for the wait at the start. One salt and pepper chicken burger and one steak baguette went down a treat. Would recommend. Repeat customer and will be returning again!

The Brunch & Cocktail Club is a vintage-style eatery housed in a brick-lined warehouse, offering classic brunch cocktails and hearty fare. Their signature dish, the pancake stack priced at 10.95, comes with an array of decadent toppings like Biscoff spread, banana, Nutella, Oreo salt, and more. For those seeking a bottomless brunch experience in Liverpool, this place is a must-visit.
My friend and I booked this place for brunch! The atmosphere inside was so beautiful! The flowers and vines all over the walls and ceilings created such a unique and inviting vibe! We had pancakes and cauliflower and mushroom hash. The prices were very reasonable for the food we got. Service was great! Recommend booking because it gets busy very quick. Would come back again to try the Banana and Pistachio bread!

Incredible brunch place in Liverpooo! We ordered iced teas, eggs Benedict with croissants and pancakes, and all dishes tasted amazing. The environment is very nice, well decorated and cozy. The staff is super friendly and prompt to fix any issues. Our ordered was forgotten, so it took longer than expected, but they were so friendly: they fixed the issue quickly and gave us free drinks. We understand these problems can happen anywhere and because of the way they handled it for us was a great 5 stars! Thank you!! Can’t wait to go back! ☺️🩷

Me and my boyfriend went for brunch here and it was amazing. Our server Lauren was super attentive and friendly. I ordered the salmon bagel and it was delicious. My boyfriend had the brunch club breakfast and he said it was the best brunch he’s had. The atmosphere and decor is absolutely stunning. Overall, a really positive experience. Would seriously recommend!

Came her for brunch and will absolutely be back. The food was delicious (even the gf beans on toast looked great!) and the staff were brilliant I ordered the cinnamon swirl loaf which was incredible. So much flavour If you have any allergies, the staff here are extremely attentive. They asked lots of questions, clarified any potential risks, and were super helpful
Tasmin D — Google review
Update to respond to the restaurant: I’ve never had a restaurant being so line by line defensive… My problem was not with the AI recommendation about the menu, it was with the banana bread. And SHE DID NOT OFFER TO REPLACE THE MEAL, oh my god, I was not really angry or anything but now this definitely pisses me off… I asked, if the dry bits of banana bread was normal, she said “yes it was normal, I can offer you more maple syrup if you like.” I would have taken the replacement meal if she had offered, why are you lying!? What’s the point? Own up to the fact that the food was dry, apologize and move on? Also, the bill was £17, not the bananas bread, obvi I ordered a drink. Why is it so important to defend all these little bits!? Congrats cuz this is now going on TikTok. I was just doing an honest review with pictures on google map but hey, you wanna make this ugly, let’s do it. Horrible banana bread, honestly I was shocked as the place had great review and recommended by chatGPT for French toast yet there was no French toast So I ordered the pistachio banana bread, as soon as I cut open the banana bread it just crumbled and looked so dry inside, there’s also loads bits that’s under-baked, you could see flower bits. Normal banana bread should be soft warm and gooey a bit, but this was just dry dry dry dry dry dry for £17 I was not happy. When I first asked the server, she said it’s normal and offered more maple syrup. So I just ate half of it and send the other back. Service was great though they offered 10% but that’s £1 off it’s just disappointing. Will likely not go back

Nice environment with plenty of plant life tastefully decorating the place. Very kind and well attentive waitresses who really seem like they enjoy working there. Food was very good and the tea was among the best I’ve had (which granted is a low bar as an American). Overall lovely spot

Amazing brunch, staff were lovely and very attentive. Swapped mushrooms for an extra hash brown at no extra cost which was a nice touch. Lauren our serve was very good and made sure we had everything we needed

Nice food and decorations. We sat outside. The heating was on and it was warm even at the end of October. We waited for a free table inside but unfortunately the waiters didn't offer us one even though tables had become free while we were sitting in the restaurant. So Service is not that good us food.

Located in the elegant Georgian Quarter of Liverpool, The Quarter is an Italian-inspired restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. With wooden benches and a cozy ambiance, this family-run establishment offers sharing boards, pizzas, and deli items. Its Instagram-friendly setting on Falkner Street makes it popular among students and visitors alike.
Really lovely place decorated beautifully inside and out. Very busy and booking is a must. We came around 6pm on a Saturday night and it was all go! We ordered mains and desserts. Both were delicious although deseserts did take a while… but was worth the wait! Highly recommend the orange juice. It’s amazing!

Another winner for me! Staff were friendly and greeted you from the door. DOG FRIENDLY establishment, which is a bonus! Staff were very accommodating, and a lovely lady recommended me dog food option, so bought a breast of plain chicken breast for £4, and added some extra bits for him. Food was great. Price is what you would get in a city centre, roughly £16 for my pasta dish.
Refik — Google review
First time visiting The Quarter. I knew it as Bill and June's newsagent MANY years ago! Food was excellent (I chose steak if the day, with pepper sauce) and my partner chose the Spanish chicken. Both were delicious as was the hallumi starter. We rushed off to the Everyman but performance was cancelled so we came back for a wonderful dessert - apple pie and salted caramel chocolate brownie. Highly recommend the venue, staff and especially the food.

Beautiful outdoor seating perfect for a nice evening, food was very good and the service was great up until trying to pay the bill and suddenly none of the servers could be found

Visited for a family pre wedding meal. Seated in a lovely booth. Kids menu is fantastic, they loved it and its great value for money. Normal menu the goats cheese pizza was amazing!! The dessert display case is wonderful and we loved the variety and prices. Desserts were so reasonably priced and all looked delicious. The pistachio tiramisu should definitely be tried! Service was slow, but that didnt stop us enjoying it and food was divine.

Great food, great service great place. Would have no hesitation in recommending this establishment. Especially if you are going to the Liverpool Philharmonic. If you are on a timescale, the staff are extremely flexible and everything is served very very quickly. Nothing has ever too much trouble. Would recommend this no question.

I was here for my anniversary dinner with my lovely wife! 25 years is a long time so I wanted the evening to be amazing! The staff were amazing apart from a tiny mistake with still and sparkling water. The food was amazing and the atmosphere made us not want to head to out suite for our after party! All in all fabulous!

Came here on a busy Saturday evening with 3 teenagers. We didn’t have a reservation but were offered an outside table which suited us perfectly as it was a lovely day for September! Beautiful decor and clearly very popular, we were given a very warm welcome with a smile and staff were attentive throughout. The menu is varied, offering a range of superb Italian fare plus around 5 specials of the day. We opted for pizza plus pan fried cod in a magnificent lobster bisque, served with samphire potatoes. Beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. Deserts too are top tier with a regular menu plus specials. If you go inside, you can see the deserts available and they taste as good as they look! If we lived closer, we would visit here often. A great find and highly recommended. A special shout-out to Fabio who attended to us with first class service throughout!

The outdoor terrace provides a picturesque waterfront view where you can enjoy breakfast while your four-legged friend takes in the city atmosphere. The extensive brunch menu features classic dishes and unique twists like the Boston Barbecue Beans.
First of all: The pink lemonade was stunning! The place has such a cool vibe. Beautiful decorations and friendly, attentive waitresses. Super pet friendly, lots of doggies inside. You can order on the bar or using your phone - registration was super quick and payment almost automatic through apple pay. However, older guests might find it all discomfortable. Food came really quickly, just a couple of minutes after the order. They have a very large menu from snacks to breakfast to soups to homemade food and burgers. A full menu on vegan and another one on gluten free. Kids menu also available and the place takes great care about any allergies you might have. Really, lots of options to everybody - perfect to go with a big group and get everybody happy!

There were new planters for outside, creating a divide between them and other restaurants and this caused a problem for wheelchairs. However, staff were quick to come out with a ramp and an apology. Plenty of wheelchair space inside and accessible toilet. Great range of meals and a separate veggie/vegan and a gluten free one too.

Superb location right next to the Museum of Liverpool at the water front. Would Healy nice sitting outside if it’s sunny and warm. Service is very nice, food served fast. The panini is great, but the Malaysia fried rice is too spicy, should have marked it in the menu.

They have all kinds of food, so if you don't know what to eat, just come here. They have everything. It was on Monday so they have cheeky Monday thing we got free grasses of wine. Atmosphere is really good and cozy. Considering the location, it's really cheap as well. Highly recommend!

Visited Brasco Lounge, Monday morning at 9am for a breakfast and WOW what a wide choice and what a feast! freshly cooked bacon, fried eggs, sausages, beans, tomato, hash browns, mushroom, black pudding and two slices of toast. The quality of the food is superb as was the fresh coffee. Jay and his staff were polite and attentive. Nothing was too much for them in this beautifully and tastefully decorated restaurant. For its sheer size, quality and more importantly taste this has to be the best value breakfast in Liverpool. The location of this tastefully decorated and homely restaurant is superb. The outside seating give an excellent view of the canal boats entering the Mann Island lock en-route to Liverpools Salthouse Dock moorings. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

I took my daughter here on her sixteenth birthday for an afternoon film screening and drinks. I have to say Maria and the staff were exceptional. The level of service, care and professionalism were second to none. We didn't eat here, but the food looked fantastic from a distance. Bottom line, Cafe Tabac will always hold a place in my heart for what they did to help make my daughter's birthday fantastic. Cheers to the team. SUPPORT THEM! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Popped in on a weekday morning as I’d heard there was a display of photos of Pete Burns. I really liked the interior & the general vibe. The decor is full of Scouse icons from the 60s onwards & this would be an interesting spot for a drink if you’re just visiting the city. Coffee was good & the staff helpful & friendly (I saw other customers greeted by name while I was there). There’s a small room at the back available for private hire which would be great for 10-20 people

I visited with my daughter, I don't usually drink cocktails so was a bit at a loss as to what to choose but thankfully the wonderful GM asked us about things we liked and didn't like and made us the most amazing drinks, I am now a convert to cocktails and will visit when I'm back in Liverpool.

13 years since i’ve been back to Cafe Tabac and I can honestly say the service is still as wonderful as it was then. Dani was lovely, chatty and attentive. I was so impressed how she held the floor with such grace when it was busy, she was calm and professional. It was so lovely to come back and enjoy the atmosphere… I look forward to many more visits in the near future. Love Cafe Tabac.

Breakfast: The food is delicious here. I had a full English (£10.95) cooked to perfection. The staff are very nice. I’m happy I came. Nice music. Recommend. Service can be a little slow. You know how service oriented we Americans are.!

Visited this morning for breakfast. We were sat and our order was taken promptly. Waited 20min for our tea and water to arrive. We waited another 20min for our food which never showed. We decided to leave when the table next to us, who arrived at least 20min after us, received their food. We were never advised of a wait on food, and delays were not acknowledged until I went to the till and asked for our order to be cancelled. We had previously come on another weekend trip in 2022 which is why we called today.

We called in for tea. (Great idea on his behalf) the food was excellent and it didn't break the bank! Service was brilliant (our server Jay was lovely and very helpful) It was quite busy at the time but the atmosphere was great. I recommend 100%

Really enjoyed our brunch/ early lunch. Serving all day breakfasts. My salmon and cream cheese bagel was delightful. Staff were lovely, really helpful and welcoming. The decor is great with lots of memorabilia. Excellent choice.

Great spot for American-style brunch. The food was very nice (and portion sizes were massive!) and the staff came around serving tea and coffee throughout the meal. Unique decor, good aura, good vibes 👍

Got here late at night when doing a quick stop over in Liverpool. Cool place with interesting decor, friendly staff and great food. They kept the kitchen open for a few minutes to make me a burger and fries. The fries were perfectly made crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside with just the right amont of salt, the burger was fresh and well prepared, very tasty and juicy patties that well exceeded my expectation for a late night meal. Had some pints and some great conversations with staff and other patrons, really a great place to visit. Heard it is the best place for breakfast in Liverpool. Go on, spoil yourself, pop in for a great meal and a pint!!!

Everybody was so delightful, the staff were incredible! I truly would recommend this place for really good food. There seems to be a lot going on there as well so if you like an event, I’m sure there would be offerings of sorts.

Nipped in here for some food when the cafes around were full or we were left waiting to be seated. The food was outstanding and the service was great. Next time we won’t bother with the other places and make a beeline for The Tavern! Recommend the small plates - had halloumi sticks, bacon and cheese potato skins and chicken and bacon skewers and they were all phenomenal. The skewers in particular were delicious and even the potato skins, which I expected them to be frozen and heated, were full of bacon and delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive. Only downside was it was a bit noisy - but it quietened down after a while.

Revolución de Cuba Liverpool is a vibrant and lively bar with a Havana-inspired atmosphere. The venue features high tables, mosaic-tiled floors, and ceiling fans that transport visitors to a Cuban villa. The menu offers a fusion of flavors from Spain, Mexico, and South America, including burritos, tortillas, chorizo hash, sweetcorn fritters, paella, and beef skewers.
Great location right on the waterfront in the heart of the docks with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Everything you would expect from the location within the docks with lots of exposed brickwork and beams creating a nice relaxing ambiance. Enjoyed our visit and we were happy to take advantage of a cocktail special that they were offering.

We came in the evening on a Sunday and the bar was very quiet, we had run in out of the rain, but were glad to have done so. There was a great range of interesting cocktails on the menu, but at that particular time there were no fraught beers available at all. We were offered a bottled cider as an alternative which was nice. Once the rain cleared up there were nice seating options outside.

Service was slow as it's always very busy even if you have booked a table. We waited 15 minutes for our first drinks to arrive but seemed to get better after this but the cocktails are delicious and reasonably priced and not lacking in alcohol. Food was very nice but not piping hot when brought out. Atmosphere is very good and music is unique and giving Cuban vibes which we loved.

The place is very attractive, we were so looking forward to eat there. But the reality was very bad! We were waiting around 30 minutes to get the drinks and when the good finally came in, we thought it must ve a joke! A very bad joke! I ordered chicken burger, there was barilely aby meat (more likes a tiny chicken strip), it was dry as hell a thr bun was totally gumy. Terrible experience. We were to stupid to go in just cause it looks stylish.

We had such a great time at the bottomless brunch! The food was great and perfectly timed with the drinks. The vibe was lively but not too loud. Our waiter, Nate, was absolutely fantastic. He was super friendly, attentive, and kept our glasses full the entire time without us ever needing to ask. He really made the experience feel effortless and fun.

We went here on a Sunday night as a couple and had burger with sweet potato fries (an add on) and the sharing nachos this cost £30 great value for money, there was an private event on before and there was some loud music but after a while the music stopped, Jess was our server and was very helpful with our food and any allergy concerns, the decor is much like cosy club if you have ever been, we had a lovely evening!

Lovely place to have an early morning breakfast. We went on a Saturday just after 9am and it was peaceful and relaxing. The food was delicious and good value for money. Coffee was great too! Service was friendly and fast. Would definitely recommend! Small and Large breakfast were brilliant.

We came on a Saturday at 6:05 to have a hot chocolate before heading back home after a walk and they almost rejected to take our order because they were “closed” until I pointed at their door where it was clearly shown 7pm as the closing time. They only allowed us to sit outside and the white hot chocolate that we ordered was practically hot water with whipped cream on top. Worst hot chocolate I've ever had 👎🏼 You are better off looking for another place on the same street

We came here for lunch on a nice warm day out to Sefton park. The place was really busy but we managed to get a seat outside. The staff were really nice and friendly. I do not normally repeat food places when travelling cause I like to try different things, but this place was so good that we went twice during our stay in Liverpool! Staff was lovely and friendly, quick service, and food was delicious. Fair prices for the quality of the food! Dog friendly, easy to find parking spots nearby and there is a nice park close by to have a stroll afterwards. The street where it is located is very cool with many restaurants. I really enjoyed the vibe!

Amazing place. I visited Pippin’s with my brother and my dog on our first time down Lark Lane. My brother is a coffee and tea fan and i’m a cocktail girl - finding somewhere we both like is always a struggle but we settled for here. We were joined by some drunk and opinionated strangers on our table and when the staff noticed my brother was getting uncomfortable they took all necessary steps to make sure he was okay, as well as having a friendly chat. I was unaware of the situation until we had left and he spoke to me, and I couldn’t be more grateful to the girls working for their help. This is a very safe space and it’s much appreciated. Amazing latte art and lovely cocktails too - we would absolutely return and will recommend!

A lovely, quirky independent cafe, with delicious breakfasts, lunch coffee and cakes. They sell made on site sour dough bread, which is very reasonably priced and tastes delicious. The staff are lovely.

I've been here a few times recently and love it. They have different cakes for sale each day (which I've gotten a few times) and today I tried out one of their sandwiches (the falafel one), all of which has been delicious and at a fair price. The sandwich was £7.50 and the cakes (if my memory serves me correctly) were about £3.00-4.00 For anyone with dietary restrictions they have great vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options as well. I usually take my food to eat elsewhere but the atmosphere is very pleasant, and the staff are also really friendly 💗 I only noticed after paying that they are a cash-preferred business, but they do also have a card reader if you don't carry cash. I'll definitely be paying with cash in the future, it's worth the hassle to support such a great café 😊

Stumbled on this cafe and we were lucky it was just opening. Quickly filled up. Food was amazing and a lovely vibe, friendly staff, cool interiors. Just perfect. Best place in Liverpool for brunch. I had the Honey & Chilli crispy chicken wings, 40oz min Steak & Baileys cheesecake 3 course @£24.95 The chicken wings are one of the best I've had anywhere. Right amount of sweet & spicy, meat juicy n soft, fell right of the wings. Steak & fries were average. Cheesecake was very rich n creamy. Staff were friendly and attentive. I would come back again.

Left a bit disappointed, went with my family on a Sunday afternoon and had 2 courses for £26.95. My son had double Pattie burger which he thoroughly enjoyed, me and my wife had a gammon and roast beef Sunday dinner which was good but nothing spectacular and felt it was very overpriced. Although the service was very good, the restaurant was cold inside which wasn’t very pleasant. I don’t think we will be returning in a hurry which is a shame because we have always enjoyed the Hannover street social.

I’ve been here too many times to count. Yet i have never had one bad experience here. The decor of the restaurant is casual but also welcoming and vibrant. The service has been spot on every time. Helpful and friendly towards its guests. The food is to die for. I do very much recommend the sea bass, hummus and chargrilled pita, pork belly, and the gnocchi. They’re the ones i’ve personally tried, so if they don’t interest you, then they are more options off the menu for you to try. All in all i can’t fault anything about Hanover Street Social. I would most certainly book ahead, as it does get busy between Lunch time and Dinner. Without further ado, i would suggest you come here with friends and family and enjoy the venue.

A Hidden Gem in Liverpool You’ll Want to Revisit" I’ve visited this spot a few times on weeknights, and it’s never disappointed. If you’re heading there with a big group, definitely book ahead — it gets busy (and for good reason!). The staff are warm and welcoming, the portions are generous, and every dish is cooked fresh with flavors that hit just right. On Mondays and Thursdays, they offer an unbeatable deal: two courses and a bottle of wine — excellent value for money. If you go, do yourself a favor and try the honey and chilli glazed wings to start. They’re the kind of starter that makes you pause mid-bite just to say, “Wow.” Whether you’re after a quick bite or a relaxed evening, this is one Liverpool spot worth dropping by again and again.

Avoid on Sunday. If you’re not after Sunday Roast you will pay more for a burger or fish just because it’s Sunday and part of 2/3 course. Absolute scam and I have not seen other restaurants doing this. Also optional tip on the bill is making it awkward when it’s time to pay. Whoever is manager of this place should look into changing these things.

Went for Sunday Lunch yesterday really disappointed food overpriced for the standard my Chicken was awful my daughter’s beef full of fat. Poor man who served us was running around whilst the other staff seemed more interested in setting up new tables whilst we waited 20 mins for our plates to be cleared. We have been here before and it’s always been lovely but give it a miss on a Sunday and go next door cheaper and better quality. We also e-mailed before to ask for a cake for my daughter’s special occasion but they forgot.

Whether you're there for breakfast or lunch, you can enjoy dishes like sujouk sausage omelettes, shakshouka, mezze platters, lamb tagine, and chicken shawarma burgers.
This is the first time I went to a Lebanese restaurant and for the first time, I was surprisingly satisfied by the food I ordered with my friends. The food was really good, tasty and healthy! I think the food seemed to be Mediterranean. In general, I really love Mediterranean food! I had such a lovely dinner with my friends. The staff member were so cool and friendly! I'll come back soon to try other Lebanese food, I'm so excited!

The food is nice and they have several vegetarian options on the menu. I liked the cauliflower a lot and the humus was nice too. Batata hara was not that well baked (too soft) and should be a bit more spicy for my taste. Portions are big but the amount of bread they serve with the food could be improved. Absolutely recommended this place and would go back when I’m in Liverpool

Such a nice chill vibe but not uncomfortable quiet! Food was delish and very reasonable price! Ended up ordering a lot even though I was supposed to be a light snack! Get ready for a cosy autumnal afternoon! Lentil soup was £4! No overpowering flavours just wholesome! I would have personally enjoyed some more seasoning with the Hummus maybe sort of molasses drizzle to give it an uplevel! But was still nice! £5 and come with home made pitta breads! The mixed shish wrap £10 comes with chips! Very flavourful and filling! Tacos were really nice! Good flavour!

Great experience overall! The menu is very diverse, offering something for everyone. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the food came out quickly. I really enjoyed the lentil soup. The homemade bread was a lovely touch, and the cosy interior made the whole meal feel warm and relaxed. The only downside was the barata potatoes, which seemed to have been reheated in the microwave and lacked crispness. But aside from that, a solid spot I’d happily return to!

Service was excellent as well; dishes arrived promptly, and the staff were attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, especially for a Tuesday evening. Came here on a bank holiday weekend for a bottomless brunch and we were not disappointed!!! Most BB's only really serve prosecco with quite standard basic food options. Castle St's drink choices were nothing short of amazing. So much variety and options, to the point we weren't really too bothered if the food matched up! However much to our surprise the food was equally amazing!! Will definitely be recommending this one for Liverpool. 10/10 service and the staff were super friendly!!

Booked a table for Sunday lunch. And we weren't disappointed. I had been in previously for drinks and had enjoyed the atmosphere and feel of the bar and the food that was being delivered to tables looked really very good. Firstly the service. Just the right amount of attention. Not too over baring as some place can be. Secondly drink. Gin and tonics to start which were spot on. The tonic was lovely (can't remember the name). A glass of house red. Then a glass of the house white. Which were both very good. Thirdly food. Top marks. A good amount of meat which was very tasty and to my absolute joy a really good amount of veg and no mashed potato. Mashed potato has no place on a roast dinner.. My only slight issue. The food wasn't massively hot. " why didn't you send it back" I hear you cry. Well. It was warm enough to still be enjoyable. I would have prefered it hotter.. We will be back to enjoy another meal. Keep up the good work.

*Update (after management reply): Their response only makes this worse. 1. They replied days later – yet blame me for not contacting them. I did: I wrote here. They ignored me until public pressure. 2. They say “nobody remembers” and blame the crowd. But in the UK even a small bump gets a “sorry.” This was deliberate – and then I was even accused of hitting him. 3. They suggest I left “multiple reviews.” False – I left only one. And even if I had, that is my right as a customer. This is not accountability – it’s a strategy to silence and dismiss me. My shoulder still hurts. Their denial proves exactly the culture of disrespect I experienced that night, and I no longer expect anything genuine from them I am an international student here in Liverpool. What upset me most is that this would never have happened to a local English customer. It felt like I was treated with less respect simply because I am not from here. That made the experience even more disappointing and upsetting. I visited Castle St Townhouse on Friday 19 September 2025 around 7pm. As I was leaving, a male security guard — much larger than me — walked in and hit my arm so hard that it hurt. He didn’t look at me and didn’t say “sorry.” In the UK, people apologise even when they lightly touch someone. Here, there was nothing. I stopped him and asked: “Excuse me, do you have a problem with me? Why did you hit my arm?” Instead of simply apologising, he turned and said: “No, you hit me.” Only later, after I pressed the issue, did he reluctantly mutter “ok, sorry.” This really upset me. As a woman, I couldn’t understand why I was treated this way — a simple apology would have been enough. Instead, I was left feeling uncomfortable in a place I had come to enjoy. This behaviour was unnecessary, unprofessional, and disappointing.

I popped in feeling rather flustered as I'm so used to having to dash about. I ordered a granola pot and a flat white. The staff are friendly and it came across as a well-run place. The customers were a mix of ages and backgrounds, and it is obviously a popular place. The granola was pefect. A good amount of cinnamon and nicely balanced sweetness. Plus the coffee was great, so I ended up staying for a cappuccino. I normally have a sugar in my coffee, but ended up not having any in my cappuccino as the coffee was vibrant and well-rounded with less of the bitter taste you can get with some coffees. I'll definitely seek it out the next time I'm in Liverpool.

Lovely restaurant situated on the Liverpool docks. Served by Lewis who was very polite and on point. The wine selection offered up by Lewis was impressive. Really enjoyed the red wine. Food was really good. The Carbonara was especially good.. recommend 5*****
Andrew S — Google review
This place is somewhat of a local legend. I’ve been meaning to come here for a while, but I’m quite lazy and I haven’t stayed down near the Albert Dock recently, so it’s had to wait until that came around again.. Anyhow, that time has now come and so I took the opportunity to visit on a grey and windswept summers day, as squalls whipped across the dock and tourists ran for cover. The restaurant itself is in one of the dockside Pavillions - if you’ve been here, you’ll know the score. Beautiful brick buildings that were rescued from dereliction in the mid-1980s; former warehouse buildings, they have brick vaults, low ceilings and loads of character. Some of the refurb is a bit 80s’tastic, as you’d expect, but it has mainly stood the test of time well. Gusto itself is in one of the first pavilions that you come to as you come in the main gate opposite the Hilton, next to the Dockmaster’s office. The entrance is discrete, as they all are here, with corner signage and an inset door. Inside, the restaurant is dark, although there is a wall of glass dockside, with views of the water and the boats. Seated straight away on what appeared to be quite a busy night, the service was good and drinks etc were offered quickly. They had Noam, which is quite a fancy beer that I’ve only had previously in Gaucho - it’s a German-style beer that comes in quite a fancy bottle. Love a fancy bottle. I wasn’t actually very hungry, so I was focussed on smaller meals that packed a punch in terms of flavour, rather than a pizza or something like that (their pizzas are good though - had one in Edinburgh). To start, I chose the arancini - this was an excellent portion, three little arancini with mozzarella and saffron aioli. Big flavours and very rich. Hit. For a main, they had a three-meat lasagna, which sounded good - I actually saw someone else having this, so knew the portion was reasonable. A bit weird it didn’t say what the three meats were - I assume pork, chicken and beef? - but overall the flavour was good. The waiter seemed to think I would need sides, but it really didn’t need sides - I guess I could have had garlic bread, but it didn’t need it. Some people might order chips with it, but that would be greedy. No pudding on this occasion, as I was full, but they do a very nice tiramisu - as I recall from Edinburgh, they serve this from a big bowl at the table. I mean, that’s a degree of theatre I don’t necessarily need in my life, but it does presumably demonstrate that the tiramisu is freshly made in house. That’s nice. Overall I would definitely eat here again - this is a nice restaurant, the food was pretty good value and the service was efficient and friendly - if you like cocktails etc, then there seemed to be a lot of that going on as well behind me, with much rattling of the cocktail shaker. I think next time I’ll have the garlic mushrooms to start and the salsicca pizza for a main - I will even splash out the 45p to make it a diavola with the addition of fresh chilli. Well done, two paws up. Recommended.

Just had a beautiful meal here. Staff amazing and so was the food. We enjoyed every mouthful, didn't want it to end! The only thing I would change is a few more sun dried tomatoes and bread on the sharing board, but it was all thoroughly enjoyed. Sorry I didnt take a photo of our starter, it was absolutely beautiful. THANK YOU

We visited this evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary with our kids. The staff were really friendly (especially Giuliana, who couldn’t do enough for us!), especially with our daughters, the food was delicious ( the make your own pizza on the kids menu is brilliant!) and the place itself was lovely. It was our first visit but we’ll definitely be back! The special dessert we were brought for our anniversary made it all even more special!

We came in off the chance late on a Saturday. The restaurant was so busy we thought we would be turned away. A little 5 minute wait in the bar and was shown to our table. Louise was looking after us, her service was great and we was well looked after all evening. The food was delicious, drinks was great. Not sure what more you could ask for!

We have been to many restaurants around the world but this one has the best gluten free pizza we have ever tasted! All the food was great! We had an exceptional lunch at Gusto Italian Liverpool. The food and drinks were top-notch, with delicious flavours and generous portions that really made the meal special. However, the service was just okay. Initially, we sat outside by the dock, which was lovely but very windy. Unfortunately, when we had to move inside because of the weather, we didn’t receive any assistance from staff, which was a bit disappointing. The final bill for our party of four came to £140 for a midday lunch, including a 12.5% service charge that was automatically added. While the food and drinks definitely made up for the average service, it’s worth being aware of the added charge. Overall, Gusto is a great spot if you’re looking for exceptional Italian cuisine in a lively, picturesque setting.

The food is always delicious at Turtle Bay. On this occasion we visited Liverpool for a 21st Birthday. Our waitress (Victoria) was fantastic. She was friendly, polite and efficient. We visited days ago in the morning. They are quite full and long queue while the waitresses still able to arrange seat quicklyand politely. We sat outside and running rush for the open day of University, while they can pick and deliver our order quick, sweetly check in advanced. The efficiency, smartness and politeness are seldom found now. Not to mention, the fluffy pancake, full breakfast and smoothies are awesome. The handwritten “Thank you” note on the receipt further elevates our satisfaction. Definitely will come again next time to Liverpool~~

Get there early! Its no secret how good this place is, we arrived just in time as there was one couple ahead of us and within 5 mins around 12-15 people behind us waiting for a table. Once seated the food came out quickly and the service was excellent, outside the queue continued to grow! The food was perfect, and great value for money... what you see in the photos along with 2 teas came to £32.10. 5 stars all day long! Probably the best breakfast I've had in Liverpool.

Group of 11, requiring gluten free meal for 1 of us. They were very busy but greeted us outside and explained they would sort us a table. They did two tables for us which was fine. The food was hot and fresh and wasn’t greasy, it was one of the best English breakfast I have had in a long time. The coffee was lovely and also hot. They served a glass of ice water without any prompt with a raspberry & 🍋 slice. The staff were extremely busy but were happy and pleasant and accommodating. They heard we were celebrating 2 birthdays so even bought out a tray of beautiful chocolate mini cupcakes, they were warm yummy for no charge. Wish it was more local so I could visit again! The pancakes looked amazing and so did the juices ! Well done, you’ve really got the customer service spot on! Well done ladies !

Service was good. The food was tasty. The price for Liverpool wasn't bad. I had the breakfast, and my wife had a chicken wrap. Portions on the whole were good, especially what my wife had. The only issue I had with the breakfast was the sausages. Although not bad, had better. They were small. A niggle I suppose, and some will hate me for it most probably. The wife's was very tasty and a decent portion. I had to do the husbandly thing and help her finish it. Apart from that little bit of fussyness from myself, and just my opinion, it was a lovely little caff with lovely staff, and I would definitely recommend it.

My friend booked for us both to attend today as she has previously been, we may of well had been invisible today had to ask after approximately 15 minutes of being there for our first drink, which became reoccurring throughout the 90 minutes a total of 4 drinks, around us the drinks were flowing for all when I had to ask again and the server came over her attitude brought an atmosphere I understand everyone works hard in there but we are all paying customers! Plus points great music and atmosphere and hot food! Ps the the aperol spritz was spot on !!
Rebecca T — Google review
We had a booking for 1930. Despite, arriving on time, checking in, it took until 20:00 to be seated. This is the second time I have visited and have been late to be seated. Once seated late, it took a further 10 minutes for us to have someone attend to us and take our drinks order. The attendant was informed that 2 out of the 5 of us were for alcohol free bottomless dining. The drinks service was not great, and we had to constantly attract attention to order drinks. Food arrived and was good. Onto the bill, upon receiving the outstanding bill, despite being advised that 2 people were for alcohol free bottomless dining, all drinks had been put through and charged as alcohol. I questioned this with the attendant at the till who's attitude was shocking and was telling me all drinks were alcohol and she could kot change it. I told her to go and get the guy who had been taking our orders as I wasn't paying the bill without it being changed as it was incorrect. The guy eventually came and clarified that we had had 2 alcohol free. I was also appalled that a service charge had been added automatically and had this removed. Not the best experience, awful customer service, good food.

Lovely place for bottomless brunch. Service was great, Alfie was really attentive. Maybe more variety on the cocktails for brunch available but thats the only feedback!
Viki — Google review
This unique catering establishment is known for its “bottomless” dining sessions, where diners have a limited set of drinks they can re-order for a set period of time. The food menu is quite limited too but the club vibe is good with loud music and the occasional introduction of a live saxophone player playing on top of the partitions between booths. So the experience overall is good and I would go there again. The mini burgers were great, but the flat iron seared beef strips were chewy. The crew serving us were nice too, but unless you’re into prosecco, it’s not great value

We really enjoyed our visit to the Cosy Club. The decor is interesting and atmospheric. Service is very good and the food was lovely. I tried the Chorizo Hash. This was the most unusual breakfast I had ever had but it was very tasty! My wife had sourdough toast which was the polar opposite to what I got but she loved it. The coffee is really good too. We will be revisiting very soon!

Really fancied a nice pot of simple English tea, so came here. The tea was great, while here I got breakfast, salmon,Avocado and eggs on toast. The eggs were abit undercooked for my liking but everything else was nice...very good bread. Excellent decor and very nice service too... would happily return again to sample more of the menu
Miss C — Google review
The restaurant was nicely decorated. The food was just OK, the fish fillet and sauce was good but the steak was very tough and difficult to chew! It felt veiny and the food just ruined the nice atmosphere the restaurant had. The service was slacking, place was very empty but still no one to bring you to your table despite the “wait to be seated” sign. As we tried to get our own seats, finally did they mind and stopped us from grabbing our own seats. They made us wait next to a sea of empty tables, then they left to handle some other dishes before finally seating us. We did not feel respected at all. But it was fine, we came for the pictures and never coming back here again.
Moon C — Google review
The food was good, not exceptional, the salad was just ok, the seafood linguini was better. The veggie burger was great. They do need to add a bit more ice cream to the desserts that come with one small scoop to balance them out. There was one person behind the bar who took the order and seemed a bit lost, possibly new at the job, but the others were efficient and the service was friendly overall. I am giving 5 stars mainly for the atmosphere and seating which lives up to its name. Dog friendly too.

We all enjoyed our time at Ma Boyles. The food and service very good . Two of our party had scouse one in a scouse pie and the other had a scouse Cottage pie. I had the cheese & bacon burger and the other one had the fish and chips. If we go back to Liverpool we will certainly visit Ma Boyles again.
Derek B — Google review
We learnt why the residents of Liverpool are called scousers. This is after a special stew the poor used to eat often called scouse. Ma Boyles is the best place to try it. And its worth it as its rich with meat and lots of veg.
Jonathan M — Google review
I was recommended this place and I’m so glad I went, I got the classic scouse meal and it felt like a warm hug. Their wine selection is really good as well. The service was great and the waitresses were super nice. I would highly recommend this place!

I popped into Ma Boyle’s for a quick bite and left completely impressed. I had the classic Scouse hearty, rich, and absolutely authentic, just what I was hoping for. Paired it with a well-made coffee, which was surprisingly good for a pub. The atmosphere really makes this place shine warm, laid-back, and full of character. The music was spot-on just the right balance between chill and upbeat and the staff were genuinely amazing, welcoming, attentive, and full of local charm. It’s tucked away near the waterfront but feels like a hidden gem. I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a real Liverpool experience.

Absolutely wonderful ‘Sunday Roast’ dinner! In my family, I’m the queen of Yorkshire puddings, but these were a revelation! Airy and delightful. The beef was fork tender. Gravy was a bit salty, but personally I like it that way. Highly recommend Ma Boyle’s !

Mason's Liverpool is a trendy restaurant with modern decor that offers a variety of food and drinks. Their bottomless brunch, available on weekends, features an array of dishes such as eggs royale, crispy chilli beef, and katsu chicken curry. Guests can also enjoy unlimited mimosas, beer, wine, and prosecco during the 2-hour brunch session. The restaurant's stylish interior includes greenery-adorned walls and a modern bar, making it perfect for Instagram-worthy moments.
Booked as we had an event so was looking for bottomless brunch in the city. As soon as we arrived there was a great atmosphere and our service team were excellent. For a bottomless brunch we never had an empty glass! The food are small plates and very good. There is definitely a party atmosphere so more of an experience than a restaurant but highly recommended.

Went here for bottomless brunch before Christmas and it wasn't the best. The chicken was very dry, they brought out two wrong dishes and they also stopped our time with 15mins left. They brought the bill and wouldn't let us get anything else on the bottomless brunch menu. They didn't even alert us- staff were slow at coming round and getting our orders/bringing drinks. The guy on sax was good. Wouldn't go there for bottomless brunch again!

The food was simply exquisite, and the service was impeccable. I can confidently say that my dining experience was a solid 5-star affair, and I cannot wait to return. The roast dinner was the star of the show! Expertly cooked, it was a beautiful balance of flavours. The meat was tender and juicy, the vegetables cooked to perfection, and the gravy was rich, hearty and full of depth. It was, without a doubt, one of the best roast dinners I've ever had. The mocktail that I ordered was a refreshing treat. It was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. The blend of flavours was perfect, and it was a cool, invigorating accompaniment to the meal. The conclusion of the meal was just as impressive as the beginning. The chocolate brownie was a dream for any dessert-lover. It was decadently rich, perfectly moist and packed with flavour. It was a splendid way to end a perfect meal. What really elevated my experience at Masons, however, was the fantastic service. The staff were attentive, friendly and professional. They made sure we felt welcome and comfortable and ensured that our meal was served promptly and efficiently. Their commitment to excellent customer service truly shone throughout the evening. In conclusion, my visit to Masons was an absolute pleasure. From the delightful food to the outstanding service, everything was top-notch. I am more than eager to return and experience more of what this incredible establishment has to offer. Masons has truly set the bar high for dining experiences. Five stars all the way!

Went in for bottomless brunch last week with a few of the guys. Food was great, beer kept flowing. Music wasnt half bad eitther. Ended up staying most of the evening even though bottomless finishes after 90 mins. Coctails were great too, especially the Long Island Iced Tea

Good Atmosphere, shockingly small portions of food, to be exact, 3 prawns, 4 small Chirico pieces and 4 small meatballs, see picture. 2 bottles of larger, 2, very small glasses of red wine, £49.50. Waitress even tried to take my food away when i was still eating and to cap it all, got kicked out bang on 1.5 hours with a half empty restaurant and drinks on the table, had to leave them behind. Not even a thank you or goodbye from the staff on the door as we were ushered out. To be clear, my food is the 3 dishes in the centre of the picture. Avoid disappointment and avoid Masons. Plenty of other placed to eat, in your own time, and eat what what you want.

I honestly don’t even know where to start. We booked Masons in Liverpool for my hen do, and it was a complete disaster from start to finish. The service was terrible, we only managed to get two drinks each the entire night, and the staff couldn’t have cared less. They were rude, dismissive, and clearly just wanted us out of there. The food came out at completely different times, so half of us were finished before the rest even got theirs. When I raised how unhappy I was, I was told we’d get a refund, but that turned out to be a lie — just something they said to get us to leave quietly. The whole experience felt unprofessional and chaotic, and the manager in particular was shockingly rude. Definitely not someone who should be running a venue like that. My hen do was completely ruined because of how badly we were treated. We will never be coming back, and I’d strongly advise anyone thinking of booking here for a special occasion to go somewhere else. After the responce to the below to this review - I can confirm half of my party were not drinking, we did not have the amount of drinks he is saying - most of them never turned up, and not only is he insinuating we were ‘ drunk’ he also saying we are not telling the truth. Shame on you. Most of us are business owners in Liverpool - we know how to run a business, all of the above and how your staff spoke to us with one of them actually apologising to me - says it all. Disgusting.

Top-quality food and consistently great service. Food — fresh, healthy and super tasty. Drinks flowed and the DJ/sax entertainment was brilliant, exactly the kind of energy you want on Seel St. Great location, excellent staff

This was a lively hen do experience with the saxophonist table dancing and the sparklers! The food was really nice, wish there was more of it. There was a bit of upset as they had increased the price since we booked months ago, and the time limit had changed too. The manager offered us another drink round the corner in the attached Epic bar which was cool, and made up for the mix up. Service overall was good. Drink options seemed to be Prosecco with various mixers or bottles of lager I think, nobody really explained it to us, but we were happy with that anyway. Would only come here with a larger group for an event rather than with the other half. It was fun though.

Clockworks offers an industrial-chic setting for modern British dishes, including a full breakfast and a fixed Sunday menu. The restaurant has received mixed reviews on its food, with some praising the quality of ingredients and well-executed cocktails, while others found certain dishes to be underwhelming. The ambiance is described as relaxed with friendly staff and great music. Despite some disappointment with specific menu items, patrons appreciate the cozy atmosphere created by low lighting and exposed brickwork.
Stopped in for lunch and a quick beer for my first ever visit here. Noticed that the menu features lots of breakfast options so jumped right in on a full breakfast and was not disappointed. Food was delicious and nice sized portions and service was excellent and included table service. Nice low lighting giving a relaxing ambiance and lots of exposed brickwork. Not the biggest range of draft beer especially craft but did find one that worked for me. Will definitely return especially for another breakfast.

It was very empty when we arrived (we started early) so it's hard to rate the atmosphere. Also, they were waiting on a delivery, so several cocktail options were unavailable. The staff were very friendly, though, and the food was absolutely delicious. Would come again.

Went there on bank holiday Monday. Waiters were very friendly and helpful, yet still laid back. Food was excellent. The pie is great value. Portions are generous. I had the Glasgow mess to myself, not realising it's a sharing dish! It was beautifully presented. Included deep fried Mars bar and Snickers. Just about managed to finish with help from my family since it was so delicious but would recommend sharing. Soft drinks are reasonably priced.

An absolute outstanding place. Staff were very friendly, wonderful atmosphere and decor. We had their Sunday Roast, one of the best I've ever had, at first it didn't look too much but oh how it hits the spot just right. And the dessert, proper thick and fluffy pancakes with Nutella and strawberries. All absolutely delicious, will absolutely be returning one day.

Really great breakfasts - couldn't fault mine to be fair. I don't eat black pudding so it's missing from the plate. The weakest element was the potato rosti, everything else was good quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. Everyone enjoyed theirs, with cleared plates all round. Great chilled vibe (at least during the day) with friendly and very capable staff - the cocktails were very well executed with proper balance. Also great music I pilfered a few of the selection for my holiday playlist!

Food is good, but not as good as I thought it was going to be from the reviews. Mildy disappointed, because I was expecting something great, not just good. Stay away from the gluten free, vegan free desserts, one we tried was dry, the other claggy. The team are incredibly friendly and professional, the chef even came to apologise for the desserts. Dating he knew they where not great, and explaining how difficult it is to make vegan and gluten free desserts... We are not vegan or gluten free, they are 2/3rds of the desert menu options. Nice bar and venue, I would definitely go back for a drink. I must also mention, that they had a young lad playing a guitar and singing for atmosphere... Really talented, and a really nice touch.

Bold Street Coffee, located in the heart of Ropewalks, Liverpool, has been a local favorite since its establishment in 2009. With multiple locations across the city and Manchester, it is known for supporting local artists and hosting events while serving top-notch coffee and delicious food. This iconic café is a vibrant space where visitors can enjoy a variety of beverages and tasty treats while immersing themselves in the city's culture.
Delicious flat white, with a great coffee taste and pretty latte art. I had the hot cross bun French toast, and it was delicious! It wasn’t oily at all. It was served with chocolate sauce and maple syrup, neither of which were needed as it was so delicious. My partner had the mushroom toast with poached eggs and loved it. Really friendly staff. Fast service. Dog friendly.

I had a wonderful experience here. The food was absolutely delicious, and the coffee was expertly made—a real treat. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the service. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. I'll definitely be back soon!

Still my favourite coffee shop in the UK, hands down, even after first visiting 16yrs ago. I live over an hour away so always make sure I visit whenever I'm in Liverpool. A lovely chilled atmosphere if you want to people watch with a coffee and get some work done. The coffee is smooth but strong and each one tastes the same every time I go. It is the only place I will order a flat white because it's simply that good. Normally, I'd want something bigger. Make sure to visit next time you're in Liverpool and you won't be disappointed.

We headed here for breakfast after seeing a TikTok review and weren't disappointed. We had the Sausage Buoy with an added hash brown and a latte. Coffee was lovely, food was even better. Staff were really nice. We had to wait a little but it was a busy service and you can see the chef cooking everything from scratch. Nice selection of pastries and cakes. Not cheap but worth paying for the quality food and coffee. Definitely recommend. 👌🏼

me and my partner stumbled across this place and it definitely was a good choice. I had the poached egg on sourdough add sausage and a portion of beans. probably the best eggs i have ever eaten. My boyfriend had the BSC fry up he enjoyed but little on the salty side. the beans were more on the tomato side but the flavour was incredible. staff were beyond friendly and the place had a great atmosphere. drink options were a oat milk chai, a tea and orange juice. this was all £46 which was quite pricey but would have been better if the sourdough was served with 2 peices of bread instead of 1. overall experience was 9/10 - we will be back 🫶🏻

I had the chance to visit Bold Street Coffee, and it definitely lived up to its reputation. The place has laid-back yet vibrant atmosphere—bustling but not overwhelming—creating the perfect spot to enjoy a quality cup of coffee and take in the energy of the city. It immediately reminded me of the local coffee shops in Portland, Oregon, with its warm ambiance, friendly baristas, and a focus on great coffee rather than unnecessary frills. I went for a Batch Coffee, and it was smooth, well-balanced, and full of flavor—exactly what I look for in a solid, no-nonsense cup of coffee. No bitterness, just a rich and satisfying brew that showcases their dedication to quality beans and proper brewing techniques. As for food, I tried the Egg Buoys, and they were spot-on. The eggs were fluffy, the bread was fresh, and the combination of flavors made for a satisfying, hearty breakfast that paired perfectly with the coffee. It’s the kind of meal that feels simple yet crafted with care, much like the best coffee shops back in Portland. The overall experience was great—whether you’re looking for a quick caffeine fix or a place to sit down and enjoy your morning. The space has that mix of minimalist design and cozy charm, making it feel welcoming without trying too hard. Definitely a place I’d come back to.

Baltic Market is a vibrant and spacious food court located in Liverpool's historical Cains Brewery Village. This industrial-style market offers a diverse range of global street food, providing visitors with the opportunity to sample delicious fare from local independent vendors and microbreweries. The market has quickly become a popular destination, attracting crowds of people eager to experience its unique atmosphere and culinary offerings.
It's a street market with a nice concept, you only use one app , and order with the QR code of the table , then an employee will deliver the food you order , really simple and effective. The food itself was simply amazing ! The tacos are very tasty, the burger is very very good , Asian food there is also top quality, I really loved everything I tried ! Very good experience! A bit expensive for street food of course...but the taste... Amazing .

Baltic Market Review – A Must-Visit Gem in Liverpool! The Baltic Market is easily one of Liverpool’s best spots for food, drinks, and good vibes. Whether you’re popping in with mates or planning a fun date night, this place ticks all the boxes. Located in the vibrant Baltic Triangle, it’s a hub of energy, flavour, and music that gives you that laid-back but lively feel. One standout outlet you have to try is The Nashville Cluck. Their loaded fries with spicy chicken are nothing short of a masterpiece. Crispy, golden fries piled high with tender, fiery chicken, all drenched in a smooth, flavour-packed sauce—it’s the kind of dish that has you licking your fingers and going back for more before you’ve even finished. It’s the perfect mix of heat, crunch, and creamy goodness. What makes the Baltic Market even better is the service style. You can either order directly at the stalls if you fancy a chat with the vendors, or kick back at your table and order everything from your phone—super easy and perfect for groups. The atmosphere is buzzing, with communal seating, live music on some nights, and a mix of people just out to have a great time. It's casual but cool, and always welcoming. If you're in Liverpool and haven't been to the Baltic Market yet, you're missing out big time. Grab those loaded fries from The Nashville Cluck and thank me later.

Really cool space. Has some good music blasting out across the place which gives a good atmosphere. Has a nice outdoor area and a big indoor area. It’s all very rustic which works generally although the toilets were a bit shabby. There’s a decent bar and then various food vendors within this area. You can order from all the vendors off the one site so scan the qr code at your table and then select what you want and get it delivered to the table. We literally ordered 4 different things from 4 different places and everything came quick.

Excellent. Modern. Simple. Uncomplicated. Just easy food but all so delicious..... just as it should be. Fun. And great variety! Both drinks and meals. Enjoyed by the whole family. You don't have to be glam or dress up.... but you sure can! Just enjoy.... be as casual or as sophisticated as you want! Start your night here.... or finish! Lovely place and just a little fun and delicious! ☺️🥳🫶🏻

The idea of QR codes on the tables, where there is menu for all locals all around the market is brilliant. We sat, scanned code and could see each single menu for food and drinks without walking all around the place. Food was very good, although we only tried one place. Plenty of space, but I guess it can get tight in rush hours. Totally recommend, even for a dessert or to grab a drink!

This one is not to be missed!! What an awesome place, I've been too a few places like it but this is by far the best. Make it a place to stop when visiting Liverpool! Great choice of places to get drinks from slushies, to cocktails and the poor your own Guinness machine, and a selection for everyone. There is seating inside and out and a DJ playing at certain times. This is a social club you don't wanna miss. The food choices are even better and my eyes were popping out my head with every order that came past, but best of all was the Nashville chicken sandwich from Nashville Cluck, probably the best chicken sandwich I've had in the UK, thick and juicy with a crispy exterior, the sauce was awesome and if you like heat order the hot one 🤯🤤. We will definitely be back when visiting Liverpool!!

Key Lime Coffee is a charming independent cafe located near Liverpool's central station, offering a wide range of specialty coffees and an extensive breakfast menu. Despite its location in the St Johns shopping centre, it has become a favorite among locals and visitors due to its diverse drink options and abundant breakfast choices. The cafe also stands out for its variety of milkshake flavors, including the popular peanut butter and jelly option.
While visiting Liverpool, my wife and I arrived absolutely starving and stumbled upon Key Lime Coffee—and we were not disappointed. This cozy spot turned out to be one of the best food experiences we had during our trip. I went for the Key Lime Eggs Scrambler, and my wife ordered the New York Steak and Eggs. Both dishes were flavorful, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. The eggs were fluffy and rich, while the steak was tender and juicy, cooked just right. To accompany our meal, we had an American coffee and a cappuccino—both were excellent. The coffee was bold without being bitter, and the cappuccino had a great balance of espresso and foam. As coffee lovers, we really appreciated the quality. What stood out the most was not only the taste of the food but also the care that clearly went into everything served. It’s not easy to find places in Liverpool that combine a welcoming vibe with such high-quality breakfast and brunch options, but Key Lime Coffee nails it. If you're into hearty, delicious food and want a solid coffee to go with it, this is the place to go. We'll definitely be back next time we’re in town. Highly recommended!

Don't waste your time and money being here, they are unorganised and they take ages for a simple Americano, and after all the Americano was awful. Wasted money and time. In reply to the reply below (as we can't create a dialogue): 1- I did not shout, I was chilled and I asked for a refund, which made other people to intervene and rush the coffee preparation 2- You did not apologise, you defended by saying "we are not late it may take upto 10 minutes sometimes" 3- There were no signs saying the girls were trainees, and if that was the case it shows another problem as they were left alone without any supervision

The loveliest of staff, felt welcomed immediately and when we made a mistake when ordering they happily sorted it out for us without a worry :) They let me swap the bacon for hash browns on my plate which I appreciated a lot. I was expecting it to be busy since it’s right next to Liverpool Lime Street Station however it wasn’t! Food was delicious and loved sitting outside in the glorious weather - especially with my nice mango smoothie! My mum couldn’t finish her food and they offered us a box so we could take it home - which she absolutely did as she really enjoyed it! Super lovely and small place, definitely recommend if you get a chance!

Baltic Bakehouse, situated in Liverpool's Baltic Triangle, is a haven for artisanal baked goods. Run by siblings Sam and Grace Henley, this bakery prides itself on crafting traditional sourdough and yeasted breads using top-quality Shipton Mill organic flour without any additives or preservatives.

Very rustic and cosy feel to this bakery. They offer some of the nicest baked goods I’ve ever seen. The bacon and sausage butty was delicious, their bread really is top tier, light and fluffy with a tough crust. It’s very popular amongst locals and tourists. I will say it is a little of the pricey side however that doesn’t take away from the great atmosphere, quick service and delicious food on offer. 5 stars, I would highly recommend. P.s. Probably the best breakfast I’ve had this year. The bread from here is superb; takes so fresh and is delicious. The cakes were also incredible. We both had the French toast with smoked back bacon and maple syrup. I could have easily eaten another portion. It went down a treat. The cakes were also very good, my only comment was that my brownie had gone a tiny bit stale but it was sitting out on the counter. They had a good choice of local jams to buy as well as coffee and other locally sourced bits. I bought some jam as a gift and some bread to take home. I would definitely go back.

So good, artisan bakery that feels like a local institution - honey oat batch loaf is amazing (forever indebted to the lady who couldn’t help but recommend it the first day I went in) for, great range of pastries, never too sweet, veg toastie is great and so is the coffee even for a coffee snob. Dog friendly and chill with lovely staff (my partner and I refer to one of the guys who works there as “the worlds nicest many). Hope to see them back open soon!

I love the ambience. Rustic and practical. Their toasts are awesome. The pain au Chocolat was flaky and perfectly baked, although the chocolate lingots we're a bit chewy. The vibe was perfect and made it for a great breakfast spot. If I ever come back to Liverpool I will come here every day to try a different toast. Only downside is not having an espresso machine. Luckily there are great coffee shops around.

Amazing little place, if your nearby I'd 100% recommend a visit. Update 4 years on from my first review: This is still amazing and is one of my favourite places in Liverpool! The sourdough definitely has a chew to it but if you don't mind a jaw workout the taste is outstanding! My usual order is either a bacon sandwich or their incredible mushrooms on toast! And the pastries they do!! 😍😍 It often gets busy around lunch and is a bit small inside but even if you can't find a seat I'd highly recommend just getting takeaway it should be a crime to be nearby and not buy something delicious!

Lovely clean place, great staff and a wonderful atmosphere. The food is cooked very well but the coffee was disappointing, more training for the barista is needed. I don't want to be unfair to the staff here but it is honestly an over priced café. We chose the Interesting Eating Company having looked at the menu on the website. According to the online menu, the food options looked great and we can confirm that the food was fantastic! Unfortunately however, the online menu is out of date and the prices when we got there were considerably higher than what we were expecting. In addition, we missed the small print and there is also a 15% service charge added to tables of 5 or more. As a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids) we were charged this. I understand that large groups are more work for serving staff but I'm not sure that you should apply this to family units and 15% is a lot! Although a refund of this service charge was offered we chose to take the hit as it was our fault for not reading the small print. Overall the experience has left a bitter taste despite the wonderfully sweet pancakes! (In addition, my husband was also asked if he would like to leave a tip when he paid, after a 15% service charge had already been added. Hopefully that was an oversight on the servers part.) Can I please suggest that you update the menu on your website, accessed via the 'Our Menu' button, and maybe reconsider the criteria for the 15% service or at least ensure that parties (including families) are aware before they order.

Belzan is a trendy neighborhood eatery located in Liverpool's student-dominated suburb. The restaurant offers beautifully presented sharing plates and an impressive selection of natural wines in a stylish yet unpretentious setting. The menu features seasonal dishes made with locally sourced produce, incorporating subtle Asian influences and a focus on sustainability. Belzan has garnered acclaim for its innovative food, attracting praise from food critics such as The Guardian's Grace Dent.
I've been wanting to come to Belzan for years. So many years. My friends, it was worth the wait. This might now be my favourite Liverpool eaterie, and I'm clearly not alone as the window stickers denoting Good Food and Michelin guides annually through the years, including 2025. Everyone raves about the Guinness Rarebit Potato, and it's justified. Definitely get it. So tender, creamy, and that ketchup salsa thing on top was just...yeah. Amazing. Don't sleep on the other small plates too - the grilled hispi cabbage was one of the nicest things I've had in this city, or anywhere. The little crumbs of Lancashire cheese adds a lovely sharpness. Yum. We had the pork collar and jersey royals for our bigger plates, and both were fantastic. The potatoes were so crispy, with oyster mushrooms and a delicious egg yolk. The pork had a Mediterranean vibe with tomatoes, and olives. Really great food. Desserts were top notch too. We had an incredible chocolate mousse with crunchy, salty hazelnuts. Also had a strawberry and raspberry choux bun that was packed with fresh fruit, chantilly cream, and what our lovely host (who I think is the owner!) called 'tubby custard' 🤣 Can't speak highly enough of the people, who were warm, funny, and attentive all evening. God I can't wait to go back. £130 with drinks felt like a steal. Loved every minute. Edit: almost forgot - get the sourdough with the cauliflower butter. Never tested anything like it. Stunning.

Hafla Hafla is a Middle Eastern street food restaurant known for its innovative and delicious dishes. One of their popular creations is halloumi wrapped in bacon with maple mayo, offering a delightful combination of salty and sweet flavors. The menu also features halloumi kebabs, pomegranate-topped halloumi fries, a halloumi burger, and salt and pepper halloumi fries.
Hafla Hafla is easily in my top 3 restaurants in Liverpool! The small plates were generously portioned and amazing. My favourites were the broccoli with babaganoush and the corn ribs. The Persian roast chicken Kebab was to die for and left me very stuffed. A very underrated spot; I had a fantastic time!!!

A tad expensive for small plates but delicious food! The items arrive as they get cooked so everything is piping hot. We ordered two small plates, a kebab, a starter and a mocktail. My fav was the kalamari & fried chicken kebab. Za’atar flat bread was crispy and paired superbly with the beef meatballs. The total was 55£ inc the 10% service charge. The place is a bit small but we managed to find a table for an hour. Pleasant & helpful staff.

Lovely place! We have tried a couple of things, but it was so delicious I forgot to take more pictures! For entrance we had the dip plate with garlic naan. My husband loved the brisket beef kebab. The falafel was something else... I would eat an enormous amount of it! Everyone loved the options!

The Bagelry on Nelson St in Liverpool's Chinatown is a must-visit cafe for bagel and doughnut enthusiasts. The menu features a wide selection of bagels, including classic plain and New York-style, as well as more unique flavors like jalapeno and cheddar. This independent cafe offers delicious breakfast options, such as the breakfast bagel with beef tomato, portabello mushroom, poached egg, cheddar cheese, and sauerkraut.
The Bagelry was highly recommended and off we went to try it out for ourselves! Expectations were met! 🥔 The Salted Tater Tots with cheese sauce on the side were incredible and I just couldn't stop myself from eating them! 🥯 The Cheese Steak bagel was sublime, juicy, packed with flavour and generously filled with perfectly cooked steak! 🥓 The Bacon Stack was delicious with all the perfect breakfast treats! Fully stacked! Absolutely loved The Bagelry, my turn to highly recommend! Great atmosphere, fast and friendly service and very busy which is always a good sign! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Exceptional Bagels!!! Make every effort you can to stop here when in Liverpool, by far the best bagels I have had in the UK!!! And the selection is incredible, from the types and flavours of bagels to the fillings!! DO NOT JUST WALK PAST, STOP AND ENJOY. We stopped for breakfast and I still can't stop thinking about them. I ordered the cream cheese and smoked salmon on and Dill and pickle bagel, this was my far the most superior cream cheese and salmon bagel I have ever had, full of flavour and they didn't skimp on the fillings. We also got the mega stack on a everything bagel, and this is the one after a night in town. Crispy bacon, sausage patty, hash browns and cheese sauce, absolutely delectable 🤤 and the everything bagel was superb!!! This is a propa bagel, springy to the feel, has that nostalgic chew that a bagel should have and they taste incredible, honestly the best I've had in a long time!! The coffee was really good, strong and full of flavour, just what you need in the morning and the service was spectacular, so friendly and full of smiles 😁 i can't wait to get back already!!!

Really cool little place. It was a bit of a walk from where we were staying and a little out of the way but was certainly worth the trip! Great choice for breakfast and the bagels were delicious. Soft and chewy, the perfect texture and great flavour. Loaded with good quality, tasty fillings and the salted tots were an absolute delight! Really friendly service too and we didn't have to wait long for our food or drinks. Would highly recommend and we would definitely visit again whenever we are back in Liverpool

Absolutely gorgeous food and the loveliest staff ever. The lady with black hair who was in on 22nd of Oct 2025 brought me so much joy! It feels very welcoming in here! Thought id treat myself after passing my theory test and come in to eat as id only ever uber ordered it a couple years ago. Safe to say its even more delicious than i remember it!! Also if you are a student make use of their wed & thursday £10 deals, so so good.

The Bagelry is well worth a trip if you’re looking for bagels or bagel sandwiches in Liverpool. Getting good bagels outside the US is nearly impossible, but these were easily on the level of a NY bagel shop. Prices are a little high, but you get what you pay for! Visited twice during my 6-week stay in Liverpool, but I wish I had gone more. Great spot!

Came for lunch on a warm day. Got a takeaway to go sit in a nearby park. Wow. They were so good and so full and filling. We both only managed half. Such a shame we live nearly 3 hours away, but perhaps a good thing or I would be eating here daily 🤤🤤

A really popular bagel shop, a short walk from Chinatown. Really delicious food, good balanced flavours and the bagel was really nice. Staff were super nice and the atmosphere seemed good. I was really disappointed in the portion size though, the sandwich I got seemed really empty compared to those I saw whilst waiting in the restaurant and in pictured reviews here. For £8.75, I expected it to fill me up a bit more, really feels like I've been ripped off there. Disappointing ☹️

Lovely breakfast place in central Liverpool. Service was really good and we didn't have to wait long for food or drinks. I got the Reuben Benedict as I am a big fan of sauerkraut. The flavour was incredible, and I was tempted to get seconds! The eggs were poached to perfection and the whole plate was well balanced. The orange juice was freshly squeezed rather than carton poured. The Strawberry Fields smoothie was nice and refreshing too, although I would have preferred it to have a bit more of a strawberry kick to it. For what we got the price was very good, so I highly recommend Brunchin' for a spot of breakfast!

The coffee was average, nothing special but the croissant was absolutely amazing! Honestly, one of the best croissants in Liverpool. A must-try, especially the Nutella one it was just too good! Would definitely go back just for that croissant.

Lovely food & atmosphere. Quick, friendly service. Tasty and well presented food. Slight downside was the background noise of someone watching sport on their phone in the bar area (possibly a member of staff) throughout our visit. Took a little while to get our bill too

Literally love this place so much!!! Izzy & Amy were great servers. The staff are so lovely, helped recommend foods and so friendly. The Nutella pancakes & kinder bueno pancakes are literally 10/10. The avacado and salmon on toast is so lovely as well. Portions are so big and delicious, you really get your moneys worth. Also the tea, you get like a small pot which is great as well!! Legit love.

I had a lovely breakfast while waiting for my train. Although I didn’t have a reservation, they were kind enough to accommodate me as I was dining solo. I ordered the hash stack with and a matcha latte and two additional sausages. The portion size of the hash stack was bigger than I expected! Two people could definitely share it. The latte was nice but on the warm side rather than piping hot. The gentleman who greeted me at the door was very friendly along with the girl who served me. The interior was beautifully decorated with a Bohoo chic garden theme. Overall a great first time experience in Liverpool.

Amazing place,we had not made a reservation so we were very lucky to get a table, service was professional and friendly place was spotlessly clean tables where cleaned straight away when guests left. We ordered the full English breakfasts they came and were piping hot and presented very pleasing to the eye! Fully enjoyed the food and the young guy who served us made the whole experience! The one thing that I was shocked at was the toilet when I went to use it a female member of staff had used it and sadly did not clean up after herself before she had left which after eating wonderful food made my stomach turn! 🙁

we chose this place as for our breakfast/brunch because heard good things about it and it was a good choice. we had a suitcase with us and it was busy inside so, we sat outside. when we ordered we got told they don’t do pancakes outside? but do the french toast, which was very confusing because aren’t what makes the pancakes different that they aren’t allowed to serve them outside? the french toast however was out of this world, huge pieces of toast and it was played beautifully. the breakfast bagel was also quite good. would definitely come here again

Really enjoyed this place in the middle of the Baltic, they serve nice food and cocktails. We sat outside in the sunshine, they also have an upstairs. We tried the Hugo cocktail, a variation of G&T accompanied with a croque monsieur toast and garlic and parmesan fries. They seemed to have been understaffed when we went, we had to order everything at the bar where only two people were working and the queue to order was quite long. But it was also a busy day, and everything was tasty, so still enjoyed it.

Mother Espresso is a charming neighborhood cafe located just off Bold Street in Liverpool. The cozy venue offers a delightful menu featuring items like the One Hander, pear, cider, and cinnamon doughnuts, and an array of inspired coffee options including home-brew coffee liqueur with espresso martini. It's a great spot to grab a bite to eat while enjoying beverages such as sencha green tea or brew filter coffee.
Tucked away in the heart of Liverpool, Mother Espresso is a hidden gem for coffee lovers and brunch enthusiasts alike. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly reminded me of the cozy, independent coffee shops back in Oregon. The minimalist yet welcoming decor, combined with soft, calming music, created the perfect setting to unwind. I ordered a filter coffee, and it was nothing short of exceptional. The freshly brewed cup carried vibrant fruity notes, striking the perfect balance between richness and brightness—clearly showcasing the skill and passion behind their coffee selection. It was smooth, full-bodied, and one of the best I’ve had in a long time. To complement my coffee, I went for the scrambled egg and cheese on toast, and it was simply delightful. The eggs were cooked to perfection—creamy, fluffy, and rich in flavor—paired beautifully with the crispy, well-toasted bread. The melted cheese added an indulgent touch, making it a comforting and satisfying choice. Beyond the food and coffee, what truly sets Mother Espresso apart is its vibe. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, enjoy the moment, and truly appreciate the art of good coffee. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful spot to work, catch up with friends, or simply savor a quality brew, this is the place to be. I’ll definitely be coming back—highly recommended!

Lots of choice for coffee and food. Till is located upstairs, also good to note that the specials board is hung up at the top, which would have been better if it was made more aware of as there was items on there that I would have loved to have tried. Having said that I got the onion and cheese toasties which was delicious and reminiscent of French onion soup! Tried the reuben toastie which was also a good choice! Matcha latte was made well and not disappointed!

Nice coffee! Best banana bread I’ve had in a VERY long time. Our takeaway coffee took a lil bit to come out which unfortunately gave us lots of time to look at the ceiling which is quite dirty… lots of black (hopefully) dust hanging off the ceiling and the wires which is hanging above the coffee machine, cakes stand and where the food is being served from. Very lovely place but the cleanliness stressed me out a little.

It's not the liveliest place i've ever been, felt like we had to whisper as it's mostly people working in there; but the coffee is unreal and the bagels/sweet treats were goooods.

Mother Espresso, nicely tucked away from the chaotic foot traffic of Bold Street, is a welcome retreat for any coffee enthusiast. We fancied something to eat on Lark Lane after seeing ribs as one of the dishes. We went in side we, were a bit early for lunch/evening menu so we had some drinks and waited the 30 minutes. Ordered our food and waiting in comfortable surrounding, having a chat and catching up. The food arrived all of which was excellent. Ordered the bill which was a bit more than we expected. Upon questioning with one of the staff, we had ordered off the normal menu not the 3 dishes for £13.95. Once explain we understood. But then the member of staff come back to us and had taken 10% of the bill. We would have gone back anyway this made it all the better.

Went there for my 40th a few weeks ago. Needed a place that could accommodate 15 people and on a reasonable budget. The staff were great and made it very easy to organise especially as I was trying to arrange everything whilst abroad, a few emails later and we had a it all sorted. The food and service was great and the tapas are as good, if not better, than anything I've had in Spain. Nice restaurant and great environment to spend time with friends and family. Great job guys will definitely be back!

Went on Sunday for lunch and it was fantastic. Small plates like lots of places are doing right now but the execution was really good. Delicious food and nice service too. It was so good I'm gong back tonight. A great addition to Lark Lane. Oh and it wasn't expensive either which was a result.

Definitely not one to pick for a date. You will be constantly hounded by several waitresses coming every 2 minutes to your table to serve each tapas separately and clear each bowl before you have even finished. Otherwise food is great. I absolutely hated the service as you are never left to simply enjoy the food and the company you're with. I would never go back. Pity as the food was delicious.

Indian restaurant
Mowgli Street Food Bold Street is a casual Indian restaurant located in Liverpool, founded by Nisha Katona who left her career as a barrister to share her heritage and mother's cooking with the masses. The restaurant offers an authentic experience of Indian street food, combining tapas-style dining with vibrant flavors.
Visited Mowgli in Liverpool and honestly? 10/10 would eat my way through that chef’s choice sharer menu all over again. Every dish was bursting with flavour, the perfect mix of spice, comfort, and street food magic. The staff were super friendly, helpful, and clearly love what they do, which made the whole experience even better. We didn’t have to make a single decision (bless you, chef’s choice), and still ended up with a feast. It’s not just dinner, it’s a whole vibe. If you're in Liverpool and want Indian food that feels fresh, fun, and full of soul, Mowgli’s your place.

Anna our server was really lovely and super helpful. My wife and I shared 4 dishes with 3 accompaniments. The food was exceptional and was a pallet explosion of delicious flavours. The venue was smaller than other Mowglis we have been to before and it had a lovely atmosphere.

Booked for food before the theatre and had a great time. Brilliant warm welcome as we arrived. Straight to our table, great recommendation from the colleague and good choice. Food was delicious and served piping hot washed down with tall cocktails. Overall a lovely street food meal and will definitely be back.
Ian M — Google review
Amazing! I don’t normally use that word when I’m reviewing meals for I’ve eaten. I ate there in early evening last Thursday. While the street and other restaurants weren’t crowded, Mowgli’s was full and I had to eat at the window bar. There are 4 seats there and two were taken. My only complaint about my experience at Mowgli’s is related to eating at this space. I had no place to put my coat. Sitting on a bar type chair, with my coat on my lap and a napkin to keep my lap and the coat clean was a bit of a balancing act. I eventually used the seat next to me for my coat, but that seat should be for a customer. There is a small nook on other end of the this bar area where a few hooks could be added to improve the customer experience. My food and server were great! The timing of the food and presentation were perfect. If someone forced me, I would say that the Temple Dahl was my favorite, but it was all so delicious. Great combination of flavors that made me want to keep eating long past being full. My meal was Mother Butter Chicken, Temple Dahl, Roti, and Basmati Rice. I had the Yoghurt Chat Bombs as an appetizer. The waiter suggested them and he was spot on! They are delicate so you must place the whole thing in your mouth at one time, no little bite here. What an explosion in my mouth. At first I thought it was too spicy hot, but the coolness of the yogurt perfectly balanced the heat. The flavor combination in this appetizer is perfection! Make sure you reserve a table if you want to eat here, and you want to eat here!!

All gorgeous and great and more then the bear necessities 😀. Service was quick to seat us on a busy Saturday and was very attentive without being intrusive. The food was superb...this was our first time in a Mowgli restaurant as we were dropping our daughter off to Uni of Liverpool so will definitely be trying the one in Birmingham now. Excellent well done all.

After scanning through recommendations across Google, we decided to get a few items from the menu. Starting with the Yogurt Chat Bombs, we’d suggest eating it in one go. It was an interesting fusion of flavours from the cold yogurt filling combined with chickpeas, tamarind and coriander giving it a slightly spicy kick. Definitely a great item to start with. Moving onto the mains, we got the Mowgli Paneer and the Mother Butter Chicken. We had these with the Roti and Basmati Rice. I’d 100% skip on the Roti, it wasn’t fresh and felt like I was eating a tortilla wrap as opposed to Roti to be honest. Definitely go for the Basmati Rice to accompany dishes as the rice wasn’t dry but worked well with each dish. I’d say if you do come here, come for the curries. Our whole table got the classic Mother Butter Chicken and I understand why. We finished off the Gunpowder Chicken and honestly it felt lacklustre. The chicken felt dry and I would have chosen to go without it if I came back again. To finish off, we got a gulab jamun to share. If you’re looking for a sweet treat, this is definitely something unique to try. We also got some drinks, including The Sherbet which is great if you have a sweet tooth (personally too sweet for me) and the Mango Lassi which is my go-to - it didn’t fail me either so would recommend.

We got the street food sharer and it was spectacular. Food was absolutely delicious, zero notes. What made it great was the service. We were served by Andy and he was great, really attentive, excited about the food, made our experience even better & more enjoyable. We visited during Liverpool restaurant week so got a great deal but we will be back to get the same thing at full price because it was great value for money!!!!

First time visit and it did not disappoint. Flavours were vibrant, fresh and clean! Cracking place! And a huge thank you to Anna B for looking after us.
