République Café Bakery & République Restaurant is a trendy spot that offers modern French cuisine in a beautiful setting with communal tables. The restaurant, located in a historic building, pays homage to its former residents and provides exceptional service and an inviting atmosphere. The menu features mostly French dishes with influences from Asian, American, and Italian cuisines. Indulgent ingredients like butter, sugar, cream, nuts, carbs, fat, and sauces are used generously in their dishes.
No wonder this place is one of the most popular spots in all of LA. During the day they operate as a cafe and amazing brunch spot, and in the evening become a fancy dinner restaurant. The bakery selection is incredible, and everything looks so good. They also have a regular menu with food and drink options. The interior is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen, grand architecture and plenty of space in a bustling environment. Despite the chaos they keep things very efficient and operating smoothly. The food was wonderful, everything we got was delicious. Definitely worth checking out, be sure to go early to avoid a long wait time.

We've been wanting to try this place for some time, but finally got her today. We parked in the valet (as there was no street parking) and went in. The entry area is small and we were there at 11:30am and most of the pastries were sold out. (get there early for the full selection) We studied the menu and ordered a couple of pasteries first. That is how it works, you order your pastry selections from the case, while waiting in line for the cashier to take your food order. We ordered a donut hole-like item that had a cream filling and a Passion Fruit cream cake. For our food, we ordered a Cuban Sandwich and the Adobo Pork Fried Rice. My wife ordered a cafe mocha and I appreciated that my iced tea was with bergamot. We took our table number (which was an old beat up tin cup - kind of fun) and found a table. We were seated right at the indoor archways to the back dining room. I enjoyed looking at the classic cathederal-like architecture while dining. Our food came and it was really good. I had the Cuban Sandwich and it was probably the best I've every had. My wife enjoyed her fried rice, but we both loved my salad that came with the sandwich. It was the best thing in the meal! It was simple butter lettuce, but the home made dressing was unbelievably good, with fresh herbs. We also enjoyed the desserts we ordered, but I was more impressed with the lunch items. That said the cream pie was tasty. We will be back as there are so many more dishes I'd like to try.

République is one of the finest dining experiences in Los Angeles, perfect for a romantic dinner, an important business meeting, or simply a night when you want everything to feel special. The historic space with its high ceilings and grand arches gives the evening a sense of occasion, and the mix of regulars, date-night couples, and Hollywood insiders makes every visit feel like an event. Chefs Walter and Margarita Manzke are the heart of it all. Walter brings world-class technique to savory dishes, while Margarita, a James Beard Award winning pastry chef, creates breads and desserts that have become iconic in their own right. Together they deliver a menu that is ambitious, polished, and deeply satisfying. Signature dishes like the tuna toast show how simple flavors can be transformed into something memorable, while steaks cooked over the wood fire are among the very best in the city, with rich smoky flavor and a perfect char. Seasonal pastas, seafood, and inventive small plates round out a menu that never disappoints. Service is attentive from start to finish, and the front desk team, especially Sade and Azari, are excellent at setting the tone with a warm welcome and smooth flow to the evening. République remains a must in Los Angeles, where every dinner feels like the kind of night you want to repeat again and again.

You got to try their food to be honest. It’s just tasty and we went for breakfast. Avocado toast with scrambled egg on side and the egg Benedict with salmon (which was delicious). We came early morning which I would recommend to avoid the crowds which they got busy quickly. Note: it’s a bit pricy in my opinion but worth every dollars
Mohamed A — Google review
République is one of the few trendy spots in LA that actually lived up to the hype — no disappointment here! 🌟 We came in with high expectations, and it truly delivered. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful — warm, vibrant, and full of charm ✨. The food was just as impressive as the space! We ordered the Eggs Benedict and the Chia Seed Bowl, and both were excellent 🍳🥣. The flavors were light yet well-balanced — exactly what you’d want from a quality brunch. It felt like a perfect, peaceful way to start the day ☀️. We also tried one of their freshly baked cinnamon rolls (I think that’s the name — pictured here 📸), and it was super soft, fragrant, and not overly sweet — just right! 🌀🍥 Definitely a place I’d return to, whether for brunch, pastries, or just to enjoy the space with a coffee. Highly recommend! ✅💯

Great place! I'm so glad we found it. We loved everything about it, the coffee is amazing, which I miss in San Francisco, and the breakfasts were amazing. We didn't have to wait long in line to be seated, and our order was prepared quickly. I will definitely be back!

A gem of a café–bakery. From the moment you walk in, you feel the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The interior is beautiful and thoughtfully designed — perfect for working on a laptop or meeting with friends. The pastries are incredibly special - not the typical bakery items you find everywhere else. Everything looks like it came out of a boutique bakery, and tastes even better. Combine that with high-quality coffee and genuine hospitality, and you’ve got a spot worth visiting again and again.
Jude B — Google review
A very pleasant atmosphere and truly delicious dishes! However, the coffee was terrible. I really hope you improve it. The beans were over-roasted and it was impossible to drink. The cashiers don’t know what vegan dishes are and couldn’t recommend anything, which was disappointing

Blu Jam Cafe is a bustling eatery known for its sustainable and creative American-European breakfast offerings that are available all day. The cafe offers independent fast service, where customers can choose to dine in or take out. The atmosphere has been likened to that of a Starbucks, with friendly staff and tasty food. Visitors have praised the delicious and filling Morning Hash plate, as well as the cozy ambiance of the cafe.
Super yummy food! Not cheap but not pricey. Fun trendy vibes, my eggs benedict were fireeeee. Side salad was delish. It’s an order at counter type of place.

The food was soooooo gooooood! We were visiting from Canada and this was on the list, and it truly did not disappoint. I ordered the rancheros and my husband ordered the Loxex.

Very delicious brunch! not cheap, but we got something (the food in second photo) on house. The size of course is enough

5 stars is an understatement! I am being very honest about it and I have to admit that this is the best burger place I have ever been to. I added a sunny side up to my “brunch burger” and the result was out of this world. The California omelette was equally good. The iced lattes were also tasty. This is a must visit brunch spot in LA. I am sure their desserts and pancakes were equally good, but we didn’t have it in us to eat further after the entrees!

A great breakfast spot with great tasting options. The staff were really friendly and the food came out quickly. We got the crispy French toast which I recommend. I also recommend the breakfast quesadillas. They also have outdoor seating. The restaurant was clean. I also liked that the water had lemon and mint sprigs infused into it. I would definitely come back!
Brysen K — Google review
This place has by far the best brunch I’ve ever eaten! The food was excellent and the carrot juice was really good, my first time having it. The actual restaurant was a bit small but nothing too bad. Their signature French Toast was delicious and not too sweet. I also tried the Kamil’s Breakfast which is basically a morning mac n’ cheese and it’s super filling but definitely my favorite dish I had there. You’re going to be waiting between 20-45 minutes because it’s always packed but it’s 100% worth it! The only issue I had was seating is based on EXACT party size so don’t be surprised if people behind you get in first 😒

Square One Dining is a laid-back eatery that serves up American breakfast and lunch using locally sourced organic ingredients. With locations in East Hollywood and Silver Lake, this hip California-style restaurant prides itself on its high-quality, hormone-free products. The menu boasts a wide array of delectable options, including an extensive selection of Benedicts featuring classic favorites like poached eggs with smoked Canadian bacon and baby spinach, as well as house-cured salmon with frisee on a shredded potato pancake.
Went for breakfast twice while staying nearby on holiday. Service is great, everyone was very kind and attentive. Coffee was great. We got the avocado toast, breakfast burrito and a gluten free banana muffin it was all nicely presented and tasty. Would recommend and definitely will return if back in the neighborhood.

Great service and a very nice patio for a beautiful breakfast/lunch outdoors. Their service was also great. They don’t have a huge menu. I had their famous golden milk but it was kinda anti-climactic. With turmeric and cinnamon it was kinda powdery. I wish I had a stirring straw to mix up the foam on top. I also had the breakfast burrito with a side salad. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. My friend had pancakes, which were more like silver dollar pancakes, but very fluffy and light. And the breakfast tacos. Overall this place is cute for a breakfast/lunch with friends.
Tribble T — Google review
My wife and went here after reading a review on water for the best pancakes in La. funny thing was we didn’t even end up ordering any pancakes. We went during the week and found a nice spot outside in the patio, which cute and open. We were served very promptly by friendly servers. They have a very good selections of different types of breakfast plates. My wife got breakfast tacos and I ordered a breakfast burrito. Both very tasty. Our doctors office is right around the corner, we plan on returning in the future.

Great food! Large portions for breakfast! Bring an empty stomach. Great customer service. This was my 1st time in LA. We stayed at Hotel Hollywood and this place was within walking distance. Sooo happy we found it. Outside dining only. Pet friendly for people who love pets. Check out the pics and give a thumbs up! Its across the street from the scientology headquarters. If your into that, you can walk in.

I was around the area with my sister looking for a place to have brunch for the day. I looked up options online and the food pictures of One Square Dining immediately caught my eye. Bam! Love at first sight! French toasts and vanilla latte did not disappoint. My sister got a burrito and an orange juice which I got to try as well and both were delish. Not to mention those breakfast potatoes. You've go to try this place for yourself! 💚
Maria G — Google review
Nice little restaurant to have breakfast. They only have outdoor seating, but they have heaters for those cold days. The coffee is very good and the food is tasty. Chilaquiles were awesome.
Luis M — Google review
What a delightful experience! We went on a Monday morning so parking wasn't an issue but I can definitely see how that might be a problem. We sat inside and had a very friendly and attentive server. Our party of 3 ordered the Salmom Eggs Benedict, Brioche French Toast w/seasonal fruit (warm apples), a bowl of poached eggs, warm kale & grains (can't recall the name) and we shared Avocado Toast with pickled fennel. We were expecting smallish portions but were pleasantly surprised. We each tried each others food and agreed we'd order this again. We were so full the avocado toast was hardly touched. But don't fret we took it back with us enjoyed it later. Will be glad to come back here to eat again.
Marlene ( — Google review
Nice space, reasonably priced, lovely service. The portions are generous without being overwhelming. Wish there were a few more vegan options (there is avocado on toast and the vegan burrito pictured, but that's about it). My friends had the regular burrito (vegetarian) and the baked eggs.

Poppy + Rose is a charming cafe located in the heart of the Original LA Flower Market. Established in 2014 by Chef Michael Reed and Kwini Reed, this cozy eatery has gained recognition for its delectable Southern comfort dishes made with fresh ingredients. The menu boasts a variety of mouthwatering options, including their famous buttermilk fried chicken and waffle, as well as the unique Kitchen Sink Bowl featuring an array of flavorful ingredients.
Was very impressed with Poppy+Rose! The food was phenomenal and the service was great as well. I got the crab and avocado Benedict, which I loved, and my boyfriend was obsessed with his kitchen sink bowl. Thank you for serving great food and having exceptional service on our visit to LA. Will definitely try to make it back here before we leave and recommend it to others.
Savannah S — Google review
Nice neighborhood breakfast spot. Service was a little slow but I think that’s because they only had two waiters. Our waitress Kayla was awesome at managing what she could and was very hospitable. The food was pretty good. I thought the crab cake Benedict should have had more crab. All of the other flavors masked the taste of the crab unfortunately. The fries were delicious and so was the fried chicken.
Cierrah W — Google review
Oh yes. My wife and I have passed this place many times when visiting the adjacent Flower market in DTLA - and it was always busy. After we had all our flowery-needs yesterday I asked my wife to Yelp "best breakfast in DTLA" and it popped up - the Poppy & Rose - and we were standing in front of it. I must say two things: I did not find the ambiance too appealing and they you could hear through the open door it was extremely loud. Still, we gave it a try - and I can tell you: it was delicious. Our server - one you would describe as the typical California surfer boy - was extremely charming - so despite the so-so ambiance (the vibe of this place was great though) and the noise we will definitely go again. Would we make a 30+ min detour just to eat here (mandatory in my rating scheme to achieve five out five): again, oh yes!
Guido K — Google review
First time here and I am blown away at how good it is!!! I ordered the pulled pork hash and my bf got the chicken sandwich both of which were tender and full of flavor. I will definitely be telling people about this place and will be back!! It is super loud in here but you can still talk.
Naomi R — Google review
Oh this place is a sleeper cell!! Delicious. Had the pulled pork hash - GAS!!! Savory in flavor this hit all the right queues. Don’t be afraid to drop in and order, everything we had was fresh and the strawberry lemonade hits too.
GRIP S — Google review
I got the chicken and waffles and a side of grits. The chicken was very tender and sweet goes great with the fresh crispy fluffy waffles ! I added some butter and salt/pepper to my grits and smothered them over each bite of chicken as i enjoyed life for a cool minute! My girl and I shared this meal she got her own side and we both left full. HIGHLY Recommend!
Daniel V — Google review
The food was okay--nothing special. I ordered a salad with fried chicken, but the chicken was bland and really lacked seasoning. The service was friendly but not very attentive. Overall, it was fine for a quick bite, and l'd eat here again if I were already in the area. But I wouldn't make a special trip just to come back.
Junior S — Google review
Charming little breakfast spot in a nice neighborhood. The service was a bit slow, but it seemed they were short-staffed with only two servers. Our waitress, Kayla, was wonderful — friendly, attentive, and handled everything with a great attitude. The food was overall pretty good. The crab cake Benedict could’ve used a bit more crab flavor, as the other ingredients overpowered it. On the bright side, the fries were crispy and delicious, and the fried chicken was excellent. I’d definitely come back to give it another try!

Steak house
Restaurant
Pacific Dining Car is a classic steakhouse that has been serving up gourmet meals in an old-school ambiance since 1921. Housed in a 1920s railcar, this Los Angeles staple offers a unique dining experience with its 24/7 open-for-business policy. Known for butchering, dry-aging, and grilling USDA Prime steaks on premises, the restaurant also features the popular Baseball Steak—a thick top sirloin cut that's sure to impress.
This is an amazing restaurant. Open since 1921 and family run for 4 generations. There is history here. You can also get a steak and some lobster bisque at any hour if the night that will rival most dinner dining restaurants. Service is great and you always feel welcome. When the club is out this is where I want to go.
Tosh H — Google review
Was an LA Icon in itself. And to be able to get fine dining steak and classic sides with an old fashioned at midnight inside a traditional white napkin train car was mind blowing when I first experienced it. Who ever bought the assets please 🙏 bring it back as a restaurant or bar with bites. You don’t have to be open 24/7 - I get that’s $$$ and unsafe nowadays. Architectually Historic LA Eateries lost due to pandemic: 😭 - The Pantry - Pacific Dining Car - Cole’s Pastrami (Closes end of July 2025) - Clifton’s Cafeteria (back now in 2025 reincarnated as a nightlife spot)
Lia A — Google review
This old-school steakhouse has a vintage train-car feel. I ordered the ribeye, and it was cooked perfectly. The service was classic, with waiters in suits. Prices are high, but it’s a special occasion kind of place. A true piece of LA dining history.
Marlene W — Google review
I love this place. Two weeks ago I posted my experience that wasn't pleasant at all. After being contacted by PDC General Manager, we were invited back as their guest and i must say we showed up and they SHOWED OUT! our service was impeccable as I previously experienced and I just want to thank their entire staff for accommodating us and regaining our trust as customers. We will be back in December to celebrate my fiance's birthday.

An iconic Los Angeles restaurant that's been around for 98 years! Really good food and an amazing atmosphere. Just picture the celebrities sitting there in the 30's, 40's, 50's. It's a high end, classic restaurant, but if you want to check it out without spending a ton, hit them up late at night. They are open 24 hours and their late night menu includes fabulous sandwiches that will fit your budget! Love this place!
Joe N — Google review
Very high prices, and I dine in Beverly Hills. And what’s with the screaming Mexican in the kitchen where all night long someone is barking out orders in Spanish? Aye carumba! Not my cup of tea. Steak was great, sides were weak. Service...meh.
Chris F — Google review
I had the pleasure of eating at the Pacific Dining Car for the first time recently and it was fantastic! I was lucky enough to get a reservation for their anniversary special which features an 8 ounce "baseball" steak for 98 cents for their 98th anniversary of business and I feel like I won the lottery. The steak was perfect 👌. I had a wilted spinach salad appetizer which had figs and candied walnuts with a basalmic vinagerette that was amazing. Old school joint that exceeds expectations 👍
Chris G — Google review
Our server, Jaime, was fabulous! He was a wealth of information about the restaurant and the history of the area, accommodated our food allergies, celebrated my birthday and took care of our special requests. The scone was large, hot from the oven and delicious. Jaime brought a large piece of cheesecake with fresh strawberries, blueberries and mint leaves and he and another lovely man sang Happy Birthday, it was very nice! Sadly, the toasted bread for the sandwiches were tough and hard to eat, the cakes for our dessert were frozen and the desserts over all were bland. The neighbourhood the restaurant is located in is scary, but once inside, it is a taste of old world elegance. There are many quaint touches in the different "cars" that were fun to see. But, what it comes down to was Jaime made it completely enjoyable, he was a gem, they are lucky to have him!

Breakfast restaurant
Nicks Cafe, a downtown staple since 1948, is located near Chinatown and the Los Angeles State Historic Park. This classic diner offers a no-frills setting and serves up a traditional breakfast and lunch menu. The diner is known for its generous portions, hot coffee always at the ready, thick caramelized French toast, addictive ham and eggs, and knockout biscuits and gravy.
I had the Cajun Eggs Benedict at Nick's Cafe, and it was fantastic! The dish was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of spice to make it flavorful without overpowering the meal. The service was excellent—our server was attentive and friendly throughout. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, making it a great spot to enjoy breakfast. Surprisingly, there was no wait to be seated today, though it’s usually a busy spot, which speaks to its popularity. If you're looking for a delicious meal in a chill setting, Nick's Cafe is definitely worth a visit!

Here is a 2025 menu. I went there based on a 4yr old pic on here and prices were way higher. The banana muffin was close to perfect, a tad bit sweet for my taste. But the warmth and texture were excellent The egg white, turkey, avocado burrito was a 10☆ Service staff were also a 10, the restroom was a whole vibe. And the view was relaxing. I'd go back.

Small American brunch place. Very nice friendly service, and food portions are big. Food quality is good but I believe it can be improved. Unfortunately, the milk turned into not in good condition when we tried to pour into the coffee. But overall I like beacons, French toast and Machaca. Personally I will come back to try once again, and recommend people who want big portion of breakfast.

Awesome cafe. Whether you want a quick small bite or grub a big plate of biscuits and gravy. Staff is friendly and welcoming. My food tasted fresh and delicious. I love the vibe here.

Chilaquiles freaking SLAP! They were so flavor packed and they even do poached eggs here which was perfect! I was weary about adding chicken but it was sooo good! The chicken was flavorful and tender and very well mixed in. Staff are really sweet and proud of their business (for good reason!). The vibes were great too. Love eating in here and looking out the window at te

The wait time was extremely long. There were 2 other guests that were seated after us and they were served and ate before we did. The food was good.

I liked this diner experience so much I cane back and brought my mom. Arrived about the same time 11:30 am on a Sunday afternoon. Instead of a 10 minute wait like last time, seated inside. Thus time it was a 30 min wait, Elliot was his usual welcoming efficient self, just like last time. And he was spot on about the timing exactly 30 minutes. This rime we seated outside. The ground was hot on a hot day, kinda sticky. Last time, our servers behind the counter were awesome, friendly attentive and proactive. This time we got a less than engaged server (Daniel)...it wasn't a good morning for him even before we were seated. He answered questions but apparently not thrilled to be asked. He got our order wrong but why try to fix UT and ruin his morning, so mom ate it anyway. She didnt want to cause a fuss. No hash browns. No sausage on the side. I had so much fun my first time. This time not so much. A mixed experience. My coffee was nice and strong tho. And the blueberry muffin was delish.

I had the Traditional eggs Benedict with home fires which is like a country potato mixed with bell peppers and onions. The hollandaise sauce was a little too tangy and the potato was crispy like I asked but basically had no flavor. The bell peppers and onions were obviously not cooked together with the potato. The pumpkin pie was absolutely amazing. I will come back for pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving. The waitress was nice and friendly.

New American restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
Blu Jam Cafe is a bustling and popular spot known for its sustainable and creative American-European breakfasts that are served all day. The cafe originated in an old Hollywood Jazz and Blues club, inspiring its name. It's owned by Czech immigrants Kamil Majer and David Fris, offering a casual atmosphere across six locations in LA (and one in Tokyo). Despite its gourmet preparations, the food is reasonably priced.
Great atmosphere, option to order with QR menu fully loaded with pictures or with a server inside. Most of the seating is an indoor/outdoor combination (outside with a large roof). They have fire heaters to keep the area warm. Menu was decently priced for the area with big portions. Would not necessarily recommend their iced coffees, but their hot cappuccino was quite good. The food we had was delicious! About $18 per plate for most options, but portions are large (as pictured). Water had fresh mint leaves in it, which was a neat touch.

Service is super attentive and friendly. You can scan the QR code to order or order with the staff. I wanted to change my order after ordering and they accommodated my request. Food is plentiful and looks great. Taste was average. The French toast was average. The jam was also average. It very sweet.

The food was good! Excellent customer services, the waitress was really friendly. What I like about this place is that you order your food online whenever you’re ready! You don’t waste your time or the waitress’. I'm really indecisive when ordering food so this system did help me out.

Great place for brunch in DTLA. Friendly staff. You can order via a QR code, may be faster with limited staff but they are quick. Their French toast is yummy! I had the eggwich, really can’t go wrong with any plate.

Bottega Louie is a vibrant and bustling Italian restaurant located in downtown Los Angeles. Housed in a former bank, this glamorous eatery offers a variety of delectable dishes including pizzas, pastas, and small plates. It's a popular spot for both elegant dinners and swanky weekend brunches. However, what sets Bottega Louie apart is its renowned macarons, presented in dainty pastel-colored boxes.
I haven’t had a bad experience yet. And I can’t say the food isn’t delicious. It’s actually quite solid. It’s not the best food I ever had but it’s also very consistent and the portions are fair. You’re coming here for the atmosphere. Big, bright, loud, chic and the options are plenty. I usually always leave with a dessert To-Go because they’re quite tasty. The usual is a box of Macaroons when I leave because it’s that yummy. I’m also not going to pretend like it’s cheap here. But neither is it outrageous.

Vibe inside is definitely cool but I wasn’t blown away by the food. Chicken parm was good but far from the best I’ve had. Bread had no flavor and the dessert I got was good but nothing over the top. Service was very friendly and welcoming. There was no wait and plenty of tables on a Thursday night.
Doug — Google review
We stopped at Bottega Louie, just a short 4-minute drive from the Crypto.com Arena, and had a really enjoyable meal. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan, which came with a breaded chicken breast topped with their house-made marinara, Grana Padano, mozzarella, fresh basil, Espelette pepper, and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. The flavors were bold and comforting, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. My wife and daughter shared the Capricciosa Pizza, topped with mozzarella, crema d’aglio, olives, red onions, roasted tomatoes, Pecorino Romano, balsamic reduction, fresh basil, and extra virgin olive oil. The balance of flavors was excellent, with the balsamic adding a nice sweetness to the savory toppings. For an appetizer, we ordered the Calamari Fritti, which was crispy, light, and paired well with the sauces provided. The atmosphere was lively and modern, with an upscale yet approachable vibe—perfect for a pre-event dinner. Service was attentive without being rushed, even though the restaurant was busy. Overall, Bottega Louie delivered a great dining experience, with quality dishes and a vibrant setting that makes it worth a stop if you’re downtown.
Rafael V — Google review
If you are looking for a dining spot in downtown Los Angeles that manages to feel both grand and welcoming, Bottega Louie deserves every bit of its reputation. From the moment you step into the soaring white and marble dining room, you feel a sense of energy that makes even a casual meal feel like an event. The open kitchen, polished brass accents, and soft lighting give it a glamorous brasserie feel without tipping into pretension. It’s always bustling, filled with a mix of locals, tourists, and people celebrating something, and somehow the service still keeps pace with calm precision. What makes Bottega Louie unique is how well it bridges two worlds. It’s a full restaurant and bar, but also a world class patisserie. The display case alone stops people in their tracks, filled with jewel toned pastries and their famous macarons. The macarons are exceptional, crisp on the outside and tender in the center, with flavors like pistachio, lemon, and salted caramel that actually taste as described rather than just sweet. The savory menu is equally strong. The burrata pizza with prosciutto di Parma and rapini is a standout, perfectly balanced between creamy and salty. The tagliatelle with beef ragu is rich and deeply flavored, and their beignets at brunch might be the best in the city. Bottega Louie sits in a beautifully restored early twentieth century building that feels perfectly at home in the heart of downtown’s revival. It’s one of those rare places that captures what makes Los Angeles dining exciting right now. Whether you’re stopping in for a full meal or just a coffee and pastry, it’s impossible not to be impressed.

Wow, just wow, it’s difficult to put into words how amazing this place really is! The service and staff were the sweetest ever, so kind and helpful when it came to the menu and even bringing me a drink refill without having to ask for it! The food was definitely another level of delicious, just for the simplest of examples, the dipping pesto aioli sauce for the portobello fries had so many layers to it, that it stood alone without using it as a dipping sauce! Now I need to mention the deserts or sweets counter specifically!!!!! Macaroons that were like nothing I’ve ever tasted and the beignets, I can’t, I really just can’t tell you in words how amazing these are!!! Oooh unbelievable, you just have to try them!!!! The dining experience here at Bottega Louie is absolutely one of the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot, a lot of really good ones too!!!!

Went for Sunday brunch and had a delicious meal. We ordered matcha latte, green juice, Belgian waffles, açaí bowl, farmers market breakfast, salmon & bagel, and beignets. All were delicious. We also got several macarons, a baguette and pretzel from the bakery. Delicious! I would recommend. Large light filled location DTLA. I imagine it could get very noisy in restaurant if it all tables were full.
Deborah R — Google review
The bite-sized macarons were displayed by color, making me want to try every flavor. I ordered chocolate, strawberry, pistachio, and vanilla, and I loved how the flavors were rich yet clean. The raspberry cream doughnut was also delicious; it wasn't too sweet, and the cream filling was perfectly balanced. Noise level was higher than others.

Bottega Louie: Where Downtown LA Dines Like a Gentleman . LOS ANGELES, CA - Step into Bottega Louie and you’re not just grabbing a bite — you’re entering a high-style culinary playground where Italian finesse meets French patisserie charm, all wrapped in a bold, metropolitan vibe. Located at 700 S Grand Ave, this Downtown LA icon doesn’t whisper luxury — it speaks it fluently. . The space is massive, bright, and unapologetically chic. Think marble counters, soaring ceilings, and a patisserie display that could seduce a monk. It’s loud, it’s lively, and it’s got the kind of energy that makes you want to order champagne with your eggs. . The menu? A heavyweight lineup. Start with the Burrata Pizza — creamy, tangy, and worth every cent of its ~$22 price tag. The Trenne Pasta, tossed with braised short rib, is a rich, masculine dish that hits like a velvet uppercut. Brunch classics like the Smoked Salmon Benedict and French Toast are plated with precision and flavor that punches above their ~$18–$24 range. And don’t skip dessert: the Chocolate Soufflé and rainbow-hued macarons are pure art. . Service is sharp, friendly, and fast-paced. No reservations, but the turnover is quick and the staff keeps things moving with a smile and swagger. Whether you’re in for a power lunch, a date night, or just flexing your taste buds, Bottega Louie delivers. . Bottom line: it’s not cheap, but it’s not trying to be. You’re paying for the full experience—ambiance, flavor, and a vibe that says, “I know exactly where I am, and I like it.” Five stars, no hesitation. This is LA dining with backbone.

Perch is a glamorous rooftop setting in Historic Downtown Los Angeles, offering French small plates and handcrafted cocktails with stunning city views. The revitalized neighborhood boasts several rooftop bars, but Perch stands out as the most romantic spot for locals and visitors to enjoy low lights, delicious cocktails, and semi-secluded corners while admiring the LA skyline.
Amazing downtown views and a great ambiance! The food was delicious, and it’s an excellent spot to grab drinks and relax. I loved everything about this place. My only complaint is that the service was a bit slow—the waiters were sometimes hard to get hold of. Otherwise, it was a fantastic experience overall!

Perch in Downtown Los Angeles is one of those rare places that makes the city itself feel cinematic. Perched high above Pershing Square, it offers a panoramic view that stretches from the shimmering skyline to the Hollywood Hills. It’s no wonder that this French-inspired rooftop restaurant draws both locals and travelers looking for that quintessential LA evening. Yes, it can get crowded, especially on weekends, but it’s part of the energy and allure. The key is to lean into it, find your rhythm, and let the ambiance carry the night. The food here is consistently excellent. The French onion soup is one of the best in the city, rich and deeply caramelized with a perfect layer of melted Gruyère. The steak frites are a signature dish for good reason: perfectly cooked, served with crisp, salty fries and a velvety peppercorn sauce that feels indulgent but balanced. The moules frites are another standout, swimming in a white wine broth fragrant with garlic and herbs. For something lighter, the roasted beet salad and the seared scallops both show real finesse. The cocktail list is thoughtful, with house specialties like the Hemingway daiquiri and a lavender martini that pairs beautifully with the sunset. Romantic, delicious, and unforgettable, Perch is one of LA’s rare spots that truly earns its reputation.

We valet parked right in front and it cost $15. We went up two different elevators and came out into an old antique room..the decor was from the early 1900s and wonderful. Paintings of naked ladies over the bar..cool chandeliers and lights and event he floor was really old patterns and the dining area had super old tiles on the floor. Many were cracked but it added to the atmosphere of the old building which is over 100 years old. We got seated outside on the roof although there was even a higher roof top floor we could see adjacent to us. We immediately were approached by our waiter who got our drink orders and returned quickly with them. They had a lot of choices and we had coffee and lattes and water and tea and everyone said they were delicious. We ordered from the breakfast menu and first got appetizers.. Brie Cheese wrapped in a pastry with a little fruit ans it was delicious. Wished it was a larger amount! Also got a fruit plate and enjoyed the fresh cut fruits. We had others too but forgot to get my camera out. For breakfast we got several items..Eggs Benedict, French Toast with fruit and maple syrup, a fancy salad of some sort and you can see the pictures of the rest. I was a bit overwhelmed so didnt think about the names of what each of ua got. They had champagne and a full large bar. Nice staff and courteous. Overall it was a lovely meal and only wish the surrounding area weren't filled with homeless and druggies. Made me sad and a bit scared once we got outside. We were so happy the valet was close.

It has a rooftop and a great environment. You need to go to the 13th floor first and then transfer to the 15th floor. It offers dining options and also has an outdoor area. The 16th floor is the rooftop, where the night view is fantastic. The food taste is just so-so, but the environment adds a lot of points. Finally, they also gave us three glasses of champagne, which was really nice.

I usually don't do long reviews, but here we are. This review is also the average of 8 people combined (our table). Overall score total of 2 out of 5. We made a birthday reservation party of 8 for Sunday 10/27 @7:30pm. We arrived around 7:35/40pm as due to La traffic and parking situation, plus elevator wait to go up as it is small. To start off it felt fine and we were ready to have a great experience for a birthday celebration. But as we were seated, it was a long wait for the server to just come and introduce themselves. Then even after they did it took another 20/30 minutes for them to take our orders. Since it was busy and we had a big group, we had to get the pre fix combo meals. The first dishes for our group took another 15/20 minutes and same thing for the course/entree and deserts. The funny part is that the bussers would also keep coming to us and asking if we were done. Even if we were the plates get all taken away but our next dish was another wait. On top of that our server was no where to be found the entire time, which also made no sense when the 20% gratuity was added to our bill by default already. Made it seem like since they know and we know we are getting auto charged for gratuity they can do whatever and they're still getting their tips. Then, when my entree came it was a steak frite, I asked for medium well which I usually get and has never had a problem at other restaurants. But when I got it at the Perch, it was different very rare and I told them nicely and the server took it back gave me a new one, which the steak was honestly not any better and if anything was more rare. I kept wanting to look on the bright side but it was just getting worse. Anyways they gave birthday girl the desert with a candle, but tell me why another table outside in the patio outisde got the whole team (all the servers) to sing for them. When we only got the busser who brought out the desert and sang happy birthday halfway and just left.... I don't know if they normally sing for birthdays but we felt racially discriminated as there were no Asians inside the restaurant at the time as well. Well as it ended I was discussing with our group about the service and food, pretty sure a server heard us talking about REVIEWS and YELP, so then somehow the manager runs over and asks us about our experience. We told him a little about this overall experience and he offered us to go checkout the rooftop and gave us drinks. But he lowkey didn't make it any better because we didn't ask for drinks or talk about our genuine experience to get free drinks and rooftop bar entry. It wasn't our point, but I do think overall the Perch needs better teamwork and everyone on the same page because why did it take forever to get our food and for our server or anyone to come assist us. On top of everything it wasn't busy too. For an upscale restaurant that we are paying each $73 for, I would expect better service and food. Anyways sorry for the long review, but on my behalf and my group we just didn't feel like this was an upscale 5 star restaurant experience.

Perch is a great French restaurant, perched atop an aesthetic rooftop. My steak was cooked perfectly, and I thought the mashed potatoes were brilliantly seasoned. The bouillabaisse (which I tried) was also very nice. The server ensured my meal was safe, and even verified with me when it came out so I would feel at ease. The live music was a wonderful touch, and made for a very inviting atmosphere. In short, I would be happy to perch myself at Perch once again for a meal!

Had a nice experience. It was our first visit and we had plenty of questions but most of the staff was extremely welcoming and helpful! It is limited spacing so it can feel like a tight squeeze for a bigger group 4+. They have heaters and blankets as the evenings/nights get colder. The food was amazing! And the cocktails hit the spot. Great spot for a little celebration
Sali A — Google review
A dear friend is visiting from the East Coast this weekend and as we were trying to decide where to "meet in the middle" between Pasadena and Fullerton, I mentioned that I had been craving short ribs. My friend nearly exploded with excitement as she said, "We have to go to Perch!!" She went on to tell me how much she'd enjoyed her previous dining experiences there. She said, "You're going to love it! They have the BEST short ribs." And she was right! The braised short ribs were tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned. The ribs were plated with potato puree, beets and pearl onions. I contemplated saving some for another meal, but I was enjoying them so much, nothing was left to take home. 🤷🏽‍♀️ For appetizers, we shared the baked brie anf the Cesar Salad, both were delicious. The salad dressing had a delicious citrus undertone that subtly elevated the flavor. The brie was wrapped in a cute puff pastry and served with a tango vegetable slaw. They paired so deliciously. I also ordered the brussel sprouts, since it's one of my favorite veggies when roasted. They were well seasoned and tasted good, but they were a little undercooked for my preference. For dessert, we both had decaf affogatos. It's a delicious way to top off the meal! The view of Downtown LA at night was beautiful. The vibe was amazing. We were seated outside on the patio near the band (by request). Ms. Sydney Ranee and her group delivered chill, soulful sounds of familiar tunes so creativity arranged. We stayed until the end of their last set and had to stop to laud and thank them for the beautiful sounds. The current, warmer October weather made the evening enjoyable as well. I brought a jacket just in case, but didn't need it. There were patio heaters nearby, but we didn't need them. One thing I noticed and appreciated about the patio dining is that even though it's up high, there was a visual break of plants around the patio between the safety glass and the edge of the building. It helped minimize the butterflies I often feel when looking out from a tall building. The wait staff was very efficient and attentive. One person, Brett, stood out though. We chatted with him for quite a while as we were about to begin our appetizers. He was very friendly and attentive. He even accompanied us to the rooftop bar where we had the chance to talk some more. He definitely added to an already memorable and enjoyable evening.

Love the atmosphere of this place! We came here for brunch after the beach with a planned reservation. The waitstaff was really friendly and nice. We started out with a Bloody Mary. Super flavorful but a bit salty for my taste. The Cheddar Biscuits are super delish here! One of their most popular and must try. The Steak and Eggs were cooked well and full of flavor. The burrito was very filling but found the white rice to be a bit too plain. The Pecan Sticky Buns was a great way to end. Not overly decadent but hit the sweet tooth.

MB Post can best described as a casual fine dining place with an intimate ambiance. After 12+ years, they are doing even better with food, drink, and an updated look. Chef Lefreve continues his passion for fine dining and doesn't disappoint. The menu is balanced with excellent dishes from skirt steaks to heritage pork. Side dishes are hearty and offer creative takes on flavors and textures with seasonal flair. The ambiance also offers a nice, casual atmosphere with a stocked bar that doubles for dining. The staff are well-versed and very attentive. Whether you're dining alone or entertaining MB Post has always been an excellent choice. Of course, dishes are made and best be shared.

Don’t go there if you’re hungry. Extremely small portions. Taste was okay except the sauce on skirt steak didn’t blend w steak. Literally, 2 stalks of asparagus underneath steak. Halibut was acceptable. But portion was not worth the price. We ordered bread and although it did come hot was only 1 piece for 3 persons served in a bag? Service was excellent. Very nice staff Ambiance wonderful Booths nice. Other chairs uncomfortable in dining area

Salt's Cure is a sleek and modern restaurant in Los Angeles that prides itself on using California-sourced meat, produce, and seafood, as well as natural wines. Since its opening in 2010, this farm-to-plate eatery has focused on whole animal butchery and locally sourced ingredients from the farmers market. The restaurant offers a rustic atmosphere and environmentally friendly cuisine.
Came starving, left full. Spectacular griddle cakes, haven’t had anything like them before. Biscuits and gravy was a hit especially so when Paired with a couple of coffees and California wine and cider drinks. We loved the service, food came out hot and quickly. See you again soon! 🤝🥰

I went for the oat pancakes and wasn't disappointed. They top the pancakes with a nice molasses butter which is why they don't have syrup. The All-Star plate was huge. The biscuit was fluffy and buttery. Their bacon is not your typical bacon so don't expect anything salty. The sausage, egg, and cheese was extremely savory so it was nice that they served a side of pickles to cut the taste. It was really good. The service could have been better. We got our menus and water and waited. The server came around to the tables adjacent and behind us on both sides. He didn't take our order. We waited more and still nothing. We put our menus aside to hint to the server that we were ready...nothing. He again, checked in on the three tables around us.

You know coming here everything will be fresh and good. It’s gotta be. The sausage, egg and cheese sandwich was more filling than I expected and our waiter was on point and did not rush us which was refreshing. Their selection of beers were very well put together too.

Salts cure was a mixed experience, came for brunch on a Saturday and had a great time however there were some sub par aspects. The food was for the most part delicious, the pancakes are actually out of this world and worth it on their own. The breakfast combo was solid but the meat was a little overcooked and a lot of the flavors just blended together. Service could be improved, took us a while to order and get our food but the wait staff were friendly and accommodating. Worth a stop for the pancakes alone but not incredible.

i’ve been to salt’s cure a few times before, but the most recent time was subpar — especially the service. i ordered the chicken sandwich & the chicken was super dry, stringy & a weird reddish gray color (see photo). the fries were also extremely salty to the point where i was wiping down every single fry with a napkin. my boyfriend ordered an arnold palmer, which never arrived. we weren’t able to tell our waitress because she didn’t check in once. the only time we saw her was when she dropped off our check when we weren’t even halfway through our meal & we had to wave her down to ask for a to-go box because once again, she didn’t check on us. honestly strange experience.

Nice casual resturant. We ate outside, and it was comfortable with an area heater. I ordered the steak sandwich. Very tasty and I would order it again.

Good quality food. The serving size is very decent. My potatoes were a bit too oily and over seasoned for my liking but outside of that the service and ambiance was great. They are dog friendly which was a plus, as I have two fur babies.

Great food and excellent service. Ira was an amazing server who answered all of our questions about the items we ordered. We had the Meatball Parmesan and the Leo’s Burger. I will definitely be going back to try the breakfast.

Leo & Lily in Woodland Hills offers a truly lovely atmosphere – it's a great spot to relax and enjoy the ambiance. Our server was also very kind, which we appreciated. However, we found the service a bit lacking, as our server didn't check on us much during the meal. More significantly, the food felt overpriced for the quality and portion size. Specifically, my sandwich was quite disappointing; there was hardly any chicken or ricotta, which for the price, definitely should have been more substantial. Given these points, would I go back? Probably not.

We went to celebrate a birthday. The location is very cute. The food was good and delicious but unfortunately one of the waitresses gave us a not so pleasant attitude when we first arrived and as we were waiting to be seated. During our meal, we had a different waitress who was really nice.

This is my favorite Woodland Hills spot for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. All of the food is excellent, and they have good coffee. Parking is a challenge - just use the valet stand. No for real, listen to me: just valet it.

So delicious! Each dish was yummy and the service was fast (diff Benedict versions, cinnamon roll pancakes, choc chip pancakes). Our waitress was very sweet and personable. Baby friendly! 4 adults and 1 baby- we sat outside and there was more than enough room. Great breakfast spot! Def recommend.

This cafe is perfect for a quick and easy brunch fix, with an omelet bar, vegan tofu scrambles, breakfast paninis and Grand Marnier French toast all on the menu. For an extra upgrade, try their bottomless mimosas!
I really enjoy this place! I have been a regular since 2017, making it my go-to place when friends visiting request bottomless mimosas! I think their menu is very strong. There’s something for everyone, from those who like to indulge in decadent pancakes and French toast, to simpler scrambles, sandwiches, and platters. I do wish that their eggs Benedict’s (crab, avocado) came on an English muffin. It’s sort of a let down. BUT, the huevos rancho and bacon scramble that we had this visit were excellent! I love their home fries, which are basically fried mini potatoes. I’m usually not a home fries or potato person, but yum yum yum! Add in their spicy ketchup, and it’s a win. Coffee was excellent!!

Blueberry, pistachio waffles seemed like they came out of the box, very dense texture. Blueberry pancakes were fluffy and my kid loved it a lot! Avocado toast was the best thing here, very refreshing and light, would order this again. Cheese and truffle sandwich was also delicious, egg inside the sandwich was perfectly cooked. Would recommend it also! Servers were really busy with full house, I'm sure service is better when they are not as slammed. Music is very loud (!), this a breakfast spot not a club lol. Not sure why they blast it so loud, the waiter had a hard time hearing us.

This is a nice brunch/lunch place in LA. Food was good. Service was nice and attentive in the beginning, but got really slow near the end. Maybe they got busy or it was near closing time so they had to clean up. Our server didn't use any note taking device, so they forgot certain requests when the order got more complicated. * Cilantro Fire Shrimp Burrito 4.5/5 - The burrito was good. The shrimp was well seasoned with a small spicy kick. Some items was asked to be added on the side but not all was included. * Chilaquiles 5/5 - I really liked this. It came with chips, Spanish rice, and fried eggs. You can add pulled pork for $5 extra. The sauce was good, creamy and slightly spicy. * Dubai Chocolate Waffles 5/5 - Their twist on the Dubai chocolate. It came with waffles and strawberries drizzled with pistachio cream and chocolate sauce, sprinkled with crunchy filo pastry. It was pretty good! * Avocado Toast 3.5/5 - Kinda simple, avocado slices on top of sourdough toast, nothing exciting. They did hook us up with a lot of avocado, though. You can add eggs for $3.

Visting LA with family for the first time and staying nearby Eat This Cafe. Been in twice on consecutive days as the food is so awesome. The team in there are warm, friendly and very personable. We can highly recommend anything off this menu (but highly recommend the smashed potato side). Food is fresh, tasty and well priced. Best brunch in the area! Will try and visit again one day.

First time leaving bad review in my whole life. I didn't make a reservation and server said I need to wait about 30 minutes. I waited about 45 minutes without any notice. I had to ask to server and finally she said she has a table for me. I had to wait 10 more minutes to place order, I ordered food first and told server to come back for drinks. NEVER CAME BACK until we got food. Food took 40 minutes to come out and the rice and eggs were super cold.. I didn't want to say something because pretty sure they gonna make me wait for another 40 minutes for new dish. So disappointed. Don't trust YELP.

Sometimes you walk into a café and it just feels right. That was exactly the vibe here. We stopped in for what we thought would be a quick bite, but it turned into one of those meals you actually remember. The food? Next level. I went for the sandwich and chips — fresh bread with that perfect crunch, stacked with greens and tomato, and balanced so well it didn’t even need anything extra. The homemade chips on the side were golden, crispy, and addictive. Honestly, it’s the kind of plate where you look down halfway through and already wish you had ordered a second one. Pair that with a fresh juice and you’ve got yourself a win. Service was smooth and easy — no stress, no rush, just genuine people who make you feel like they’re glad you showed up. Atmosphere? Cozy but alive. The kind of spot where you could come with a date, catch up with a friend, or even post up solo with a coffee and feel totally at home. It’s rare to find a place that nails food, service, and vibe all at once — but this café does exactly that. Absolutely a five-star experience. Can’t wait to be back.

Eat This Cafe has been such a cornerstone of my Los Angeles experience. I’ve celebrated my birthday here, holidays, and my engagement. The food is delicious, and the bottomless mimosas are incredibly priced. This was my husband’s and my favorite breakfast spot while we’ve lived in the city and I can’t recommend it enough! The Grilled Truffle Cheese Panini & Egg with Avocado is to die for.

The omlette was ok, bit had more dried tomatoes than cheese. My wheat toast was seriously burnt and my guest said the home fries were definitely "premade" The bagel & lox was plate that my other guest ordered was reported as excellent.

Beautiful aesthetics, tasty food and great service. I visited with a group and was impressed. They are pricey because I had never paid $6 for a cup of hot tea. The house made hot sauce was tasty and I purchased a bottle as a gift for someone I know who loves hot sauce. Loved the brisket!

The restaurant from the outside looks very small. The interior is divided up into several large rooms and there are outside sections in rear of the restaurant that is open air. There are several heating units on the upper walls and portable heating units on the floor. The tables are chairs are easy to move around to accommodate all size parties. There is a full service bar. The prices are moderate. Some of the dishes served were good and other dishes served were fair. The service was very good and the restaurant is very clean.
THOMAS D — Google review
5/5 on taste, service and atmosphere, but the value of what you get vs what you pay for is astounding. $5.50 for a drip coffee which says it includes one free refill, but the cup itself looks like it is about 4 oz. The small dish pictured was $31 alone or $38 including the chicken andouille sausage. $7 for 5 small thinly sliced pieces of sausage is really high. Again I loved the food but not worth what it costs. Sorry. If I’ve paid $38 for a breakfast dish I really do not want to be be wondering what I should pick up on the way home to fill me up.
John Q — Google review
Great atmosphere. Upscale home cooking. For the prices, paired side dishes should come with the entrée. They don't, except for a bed of grits that come with the delicious oxtail. The brisket was dry and not tender. Very little sauce came with the brisket and scarcely added to the flavor. The blackened salmon was nicely cooked but all the seasoning (blackening) was on one edge of the filet. Fried chicken was good, but all you get is three pieces, nothing else for the price. The yams and mac&cheese were ok (mom's are better) but was the price justified? I could go there again (very pricey), but I'll go to mom's instead.

I had the chicken gumbo with the shrimp add on and I loved it! The shrimp was grilled and the rice was super fresh and not dry. It went well with the Pinot Noir. The servers were also super polite and very attending. I would definitely come back again ❤️‍🔥
Joshua O — Google review
The vibe was pretty cool (decor, ambiance, crowd, and music selection) however the food was overpriced and underwhelming. The portions were small and the flavor just wasn't there. I ordered the fried catfish and grits and candied yams. They gave me two small pieces of fried catfish and a small amount of grits. The grits had a good texture, but they were bland and so was the sauce they were covered in. It came with chunks of sausage and two TINY pieces of okra. For the price, I expected much more flavor and a much larger portion. The candied yams were regular, but the sauce was too watery. The waitress was cool, but nothing to rave about. The greeter was blah. It almost seemed as if she didn't enjoy her job. Random wait staff asking how the food was were more enthusiastic than the greeter. For the price, I expected someone warmer. Valet was friendly. My friend and I were in agreement that the food was underwhelming and overpriced, but the atmosphere was nice.

Really beautiful location, I especially loved the outdoor shaded seating. The food however was incredibly lackluster but the sauces saved everything. The highlights of the entire meal were the Fresno hot sauce and the honey butter. We had the cornmeal pancakes, oxtail and grits, shrimp and grits, a match latte and London fog latte. Both lattes were overly sweetened, and this is coming from a person with a huge sweet tooth. The shrimp and grits and oxtail and grits were underseasoned and underwhelming and overpriced. The worst thing by far were the cornmeal pancakes which were incredibly bland. Our server was also inattentive and forgetful, forgot several of our items and barely checked on it. I do have to say two men who seemed to be running dishes were great, super attentive and kind. Overall wish the food were better because the spot is so cute and has a good vibe.

Peking Tavern is a stylish Chinese eatery located in California, known for its hand-pulled noodles made in a glass-walled kitchen and craft beer selection. The restaurant has successfully created gluten-free dumplings through months of recipe testing, catering to the finicky eating habits of Angelenos. While some visitors found the food and drinks mediocre, others praised the delicious cocktails and food, especially the dumplings.
I came here for a social event during lunch and had a good time. The place is airy with high ceiling. They even have karaoke machine you can use. The service is superb. The staff members are courteous and always helpful. You can get 1.5 hour validated parking in the parking structure next to the restaurant. If you have to go past that time limit, just drive out and back and do the validation again.

Certainly an unexpected find while visiting Little Tokyo! Went with three people to get a Chinese meal and was pleasantly suprised when we walked in. The decorations and design of the restaurant is stunning; the atmosphere was nice and the choice of furniture was stylish and comfortable. The alternative music was nice background sound so we could comfortably talk without feeling like it was overbearing. We were the only people in there (interestingly enough) so the service was exceptional and fast. We got a bunch of food: scallion pancakes, beansprout salad (?), their special dumpling set, as well as two noodles. All the food tasted pretty good and the pork dumplings and wontons were especially wonderful. The only thing was some portions felt small, the pancake was a bit dry, and the noodles felt heavily seasoned with pepper. However it was a good price for the amount of food ordered, highly recommend the special dumpling meal deal. I hope more people come to this restaurant, it's really beautiful.

We found this place online when looking for somewhere to eat while in the area. It was easy to find but there’s better parking or street meter. The red color was nice and calming. We arrived on a Saturday early evening and it wasn’t crowded so we were seated right away. We ordered dumplings, wonton noodle soup, pop chicken without the sauce and lomagai. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Most of us just ordered sodas but the matcha Nicole was tasty. The staff was friendly but I took a star off because we waited forever to get our check. The bathrooms were clean and the waiting area was decorated. They also have a key so only patrons are able to use the restrooms.

The food was delicious and well presented. The service was really good too, highly recommend 👌 this place. Where do I start, had a ball in this place on the karaoke 🎤 it was soo much fun and kinda unexpected. Our party had such a great night here. I would highly recommend trying this place if you have been here before. It has a great atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. The owner is very accommodating. We had a reunion and everything from the food to the service is excellent. They also have karaoke if you want to sing after a couple of cocktails from the full service bar. Can't wait to visit the next time I'm in LA.

I came here with friends on a night that the restaurant advertised as Chinese New Year celebration with karaoke and free appetizers. My friends ordered drinks and food before the started time so we wouldn’t get too hungry. The food they ordered was mediocre but the sauces were good. When it came time to karaoke, there was none. The advertised free appetizers was a small portion of tofu skin and one fried tofu dumpling. That was it 😂 we got played. The atmosphere is really nice and I hear the drinks were good. Maybe call and verify if you see an advertised event to make sure you get what they say you’re gonna get lol. I’d maybe come here again for the atmosphere. I saw a lot of guys here for the football game

We had such a great dining experience. The ambience was nice, the service was great and the food delicious! There was not one dish that we didn’t enjoy. We started off with grilled oysters and kimchi bread as appetizers but they went over a complementary naan for the long wait. All three were soooo good. For the main entree we got the beef noodles, crunchy chili lime chicken and the pork shank. They were all shareable plates and all sooo delicious. We were so stuffed by the time the pork shank came out but we still tried it and it didn’t disappoint. All the wait staff was beyond helpful and friendly.

Beautifully creative flavors and fresh takes on familiar foods. Really enjoyed the surprises we experienced with the food pairings. Portions are designed to share. Heirloom Tomato dish was my fave! Bright, airy dining room with relatively friendly staff. Very homogenous clientele/staff that were not the most welcoming but that didn’t deter from our experience too much. Reservations required as it is a popular location. Paid garage parking nearby with elevator access.

Came here early with a reservation and our party of three was immediately seated. My only note about staff is they're always at the ready to bus the table which might give some diners a bit of anxiety. Other than that, they're very friendly and responsive. We ordered the kim chi sourdough, spicy handroll dip, chickpea fritters, grilled corn and roasted carrots to start. The entrees were pan roasted salmon, squash blossom crab rangoon and sticky glazed pork shank. We finished on the Thai Tea sundae and matcha tres leches. I would say the our meal leaned toward sweet overall, given the choices. Looking back, one of the best items was the kim chi sourdough. If you like the three cheese semolina bread from La Brea bakery, I think you'll really love this. It was probably the most savory item of the night. The pork shank was fall off the bone and the salmon was cooked perfectly. The thing I wish for the pork dish was that there was more acid. Adding lime wood give it a bit more punch along with the pickles. Of the two desserts, I'd say the Thai Tea sundae really surprised me. I want really sure how the chocolate would work with those flavors but it really have the dish a nice earthiness that complimented the flavors very well. If we return, I'd really look at other dishes that would lean more savory.

Might be a 20/10 now. Had maybe my best meal ever before and was scared I may be let down this time and can say without any hesitation I was not at all and loved every bit of it once again! Definitely my favorite restaurant ever! Group of 4 of us went and ordered the naan, kimchi sourdough, spicy hand roll dip, heirloom tomato salad (only 1 I didn’t get picture of 🤦🏽‍♂️), chickpea fritters, green beans, goat belly, pork belly, goat curry, pork shank. And for dessert the mango sticky rice and sesame cookies and cream. The dishes that are an absolute must to order are the naan, heirloom tomato salad (best tomato dish I’ve ever had), chickpea fritters, green beans (unbelievable how tasty these are and could eat them every day), goat curry, pork shank. Almost every dish was excellent but these are the ones you will remember the most! The pork belly is very smoky tasting so if not a fan of that flavor wouldn’t recommend and the kimchi sourdough was very average. The desserts were ok but nothing I’d remember. The sesame cookies n crème was weird for me. Felt like I was eating sushi more than a dessert. Overall the meal is outstanding and definitely need to come with at least 4 people so can try all the different items. That’s what makes it so special. Service was outstanding again also! And the price is very reasonable!

Good food and good company! The best way to end the weekend. We got their large plate again. They only have one on Sundays and it was the perfect size for the 4 of us. The grape salad side was amazing! So good! Everything was good! We enjoyed all the additional dishes we got and the dessert too. Service is always excellent and also love the ambiance, love the big open space, greenery and the seating arrangements. Love Girl and the Goat! They are part of the Inkind app too! So a good deal!

Came here for brunch on a Sunday, and it was about a 20 minute wait. The ambiance was cute and modern. Here’s what we got: - Crabby Benedict ($32): 3/5 stars - This was a pork belly dish on top of crumpets. The pork belly was solid, although a little on the dry side. The crumpet was dense and heavy - Goat Curry Omelette ($36): 4/5 stars - This was such a unique dish with a good curry flavor. The goat was tasty, although not the most tender, and there wasn’t much meat. The omelette was tasty with a lot of rice inside. - Brunch potatoes ($16): 1/5 stars - Not memorable and nothing special. Our group barely touched this dish. - Short rib chilaquiles ($36): 1/5 stars - Barely any short ribs, and some pieces were completely burnt. The chilaquiles were too fried/battered/greasy - PB&J pancakes ($23): 5/5 stars - The texture of the sourdough pancakes was so good! It was thick and soft. The pancakes were very sweet - I like sweets, but it might be overly sweet if you’re not a sweets person. There were these crunchy pieces on the pancakes that were sooo good! Overall, the best items in my opinion were the PB&J pancakes and goat curry omelette, but all the other dishes were either average or disappointing. For the price, I expected all the dishes to wow me.

Wow. Just wow. This was the best dinner I’ve had in a long time — and trust me, I eat like it’s my job. Every single dish was bursting with flavor, like the chefs secretly teamed up with magicians. The vibes? Spot on. The service? Friendlier than my own cousins at a family BBQ. And the food… let’s just say if I could marry a restaurant, I’d be sending Girl & The Goat a ring tomorrow. If you haven’t been here yet, go. And if you have been here, go again — because clearly you’re making better life choices than most of us.

The $20 (!!!) "club sandwich" where two barley toasted slices of white bread from a plastic bag with cold cut chicken slices and some remoulade sauce. Couldn't finish and felt slightly nauseous for days after eating this. Will never buy something to eat there again.
Antje W — Google review
I’m sorry but this had to have been one of the most boring breakfast experiences I’ve ever had. The potatoes were not crispy let alone cooked properly. My eggs had burn marks as did the sausage. The only subpar thing was the sourdough, and even that didn’t leave an impact. If you’re looking to get breakfast, don’t come here - that’s for sure.

By far the worst egg sandwich I’ve ever had. The eggs were extremely overcooked leading to a rubbery texture, they were not seasoned with salt and pepper, and the bread was toasted for all of ten seconds. I would’ve expected so much better with how much they were charging for this atrocity.

This is undoubtedly the worst burger I've ever had in the States (my entire life). It was hard, dry, and bland. 20 bucks for a BLT burger. The bacon was as black as coal and hard as fossil; the burger bun tasted like you were chewing on a towel. I saw a few 5-star reviews praising this restaurant's burgers before I purchased them, and I was like, "Huh, how bad could it possibly be?" But after having tested it myself, I wondered what kind of drugs they were on before leaving a 5-star review, and I want some too. I would have liked to give this restaurant a zero star. Unfortunately, that was not an option...

I visited here on Nov 3rd 11 am. What is wrong with the front desk staff (it was an African American lady during my visit, had to be specific in case any management sees this)?? She pointed at every single customer with her finger and had us show her our receipts. No announcing receipt number, or asking anyone to show our receipts politely. So terribly rude. Why do you think you could just be pointing at customers and treating us like that? I ordered the grain bowl, after 10 min and being pointed at, she rudely said we don’t have the grain bowl and then yelled “no grain” as if I don’t understand English. Fine, if you don’t have something please update your order machine. How is this place still open with this type of staff here? I wasn’t the only one, she messed up a few orders and was unapologetic at all! So disgusting she needs to get fired Food is very overpriced. Not recommended at all!

There’s a good movie theater and lots of places to eat. The Original Farmers Market is also here, it has a bunch of different food options, and the people working there are usually pretty friendly.

Such a great experience! 🌟 This plaza is absolutely beautiful 🏙️ and filled with lots of nice shops 🛍️ — I really enjoyed my time here ❤️. There’s even a little track train 🚝 that takes you around the entire market, which made exploring super fun and relaxing. The fountain is stunning 💦✨ — I honestly felt like I could sit there all day and just enjoy the atmosphere 🪑☀️. Right next to it, there’s also a lovely farmer’s market 🥕🍞 with fresh produce and cute local stands. You could easily spend a whole day here just strolling around and taking it all in.

Visit here to get dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. But we came early and got to enjoy a beautiful sunset here. This photos, I took without edit or filter. Really no filter needed. Night time here also good to go, the vibes and lights make it more magical.

Finally checked this place off my want to go list! So many people and shops. There's a really cool trolley and a fountain that make for good photo ops! While you're here, definitely take some time to check out the adjacent farmers market!

The Grove is my go-to mall whenever I’m in Los Angeles 🌴🛍️✨. It’s got everything I need in one stylish outdoor space — from Alo Yoga and Barnes & Noble to my favorite burger spots. The vibe is always lively yet laid-back, making shopping here feel more like a day out than just an errand. 🌆🍔📚 I still miss the Dominique Ansel Bakery that used to be here (RIP cronut runs 😭& cookie in cup 🥐), but The Grove continues to deliver with its mix of fashion, food, and entertainment.

The Grove is one of the favorite spots in LA. It’s a gorgeous open-air mall with a great mix of high-end stores, everyday brands, and delicious restaurants. The atmosphere feels relaxed and upscale at the same time. Love the fountain in the center, the vintage-style trolley, and how everything is beautifully maintained. It gets busy, especially on weekends, but it’s worth it for the ambiance and people-watching. Don’t forget to check out the adjacent Farmers Market – so many great food stalls!

The Griddle Cafe is a bustling American eatery known for its creative and elevated breakfast offerings. Located on Sunset Boulevard, this popular spot serves up generous portions of all-day breakfast classics with a whimsical twist. Their menu features inventive pancakes like the Golden Ticket, filled with caramel, walnuts, and streusel, and the Selfie On Sunset, which is filled with cinnamon-sugar, chocolate chips, and cream cheese icing.
AMAZING!! Found this gem on a recent trip to the Los Angeles area Food: delicious and enormous portions. I had the Chicago Charlie Scramble, which really hit the spot. A great scramble. My wife and I split the Bananana pancakes. Highly recommend the pancakes--- and order will take up a third of the table and you likely won't eat it all, but well worth it Service: quick and friendly. Our waitress was wonderful Highly recommend!

Very nice place for breakfast. For 2 adults on a Friday morning we only had to wait 10min around 11am. One stack of 3 pancakes here is a LOT. They were lovely, would have like more caramel on ours. Service was excellent and friendly! Would definitely recommend Its very loud in there so probably not the best place if you want to catch up with friends and have a conversation!

I don’t remember what these were called officially, but I’ll call them breakfast nachos. They were fantastic. Very fresh ingredients and filling! We also had the French toast instead of the highly recommended pancakes. Go with the pancakes if you want something special.

Was able to get seated with no wait; restaurant has a nice setup with regular tables as well as an almost hibachi style diner setup with a nice view into the kitchen. Ordered the ‘Hash it Out’ dish - diced potatoes, ground turkey, over-medium eggs, cheese and garlic bread with hot sauce on the side. By itself the dish was average but the hot sauce helped add flavour to it. Waitress was well mannered and always had a smile on her face which was nice. Solid spot!

Ugh I love this place. It feels “pre-pandemic” - huge portions, reasonable prices, good coffee, unpretentious and completely delicious! They have bottomless mimosas which I simply cannot partake in anymore but pre-2020 LA me would have been all over that. It’s where you bring your visitors who are cooler than the overpriced hot spots in town, you know? Love it.

We had breakfast at The Griddle Café on two different mornings during our trip to LA, and both times, we walked out happy (and very full). This place totally lives up to its reputation — big portions, bold flavors, and a vibe that’s so LA. On our first visit, I ordered “The Golden Ticket” pancakes — a heavenly creation filled with bananas, caramel, walnuts, and streusel, then topped with whipped cream, more caramel, and streusel. Absolutely delicious, but here’s a heads-up: the pancakes are HUGE. They serve three, but I could barely finish half of one. It's a dessert-meets-breakfast kind of dish and totally worth it. My husband got “Mom’s French Toast”, and he hasn't stopped talking about it since. Thick slices of egg-dipped bread, cooked just right, with powdered sugar and whipped butter on top. It’s labeled “life-changing” on the menu — and he actually agrees. He says it’s the best French toast he’s ever had, and honestly, I believe him based on how fast he finished it. The next day, I went savory and got the “Omelette My Soul” with shrimp. It came loaded with green chiles, jack cheese, avocado, sour cream, and pico de gallo — basically everything you’d want in a hearty, flavorful breakfast. Again, massive portion and super filling. I couldn’t finish it, but every bite was delicious. Service both days was quick, friendly, and efficient — even with the café being busy. The staff seemed used to the rush and handled everything with a smile. If you're in LA and love breakfast food that’s over-the-top in the best way, The Griddle Café is a must-visit. Just make sure you come hungry — and maybe share a dish unless you're really planning to indulge!

A one time stop for me unfortunately. I ordered the tequila sunrise (huevos rancheros) and its presentation wasn't it. Looked like an open omelet or cheese blob. Additional charge for avocado and sour cream(unnecessary). Pancakes wowser for its size but not in taste. Loaded cafe is a better choice for pancake fans. Good coffee and server assistant needs to be more careful bussing tables. (Plates slamming and tossing silverware) while guests around.

Gjelina is a trendy American eatery in Venice that embodies the laid-back, stylish lifestyle of the area. The restaurant offers a diverse menu with globally influenced dishes, including crispy edge pizzas topped with gourmet ingredients like burrata and wild nettles, as well as vegetable dishes such as roasted fennel with white wine and blood orange. The ambiance is effortlessly casual, with a brick back patio and a crowded dining room exuding a wood cabin-meets-beach vibe.
The service was slow and hap hazard but the food?!? (It was a busy night in their defense) OMG!! Everything was spectacular but the dessert was absolutely the sta d out. The Carmel cream fresh was light fluffy and heaven in every bite.

Food was good, vibe was cute. They have indoor and patio outdoor seating. It's quite expensive for the portion you get though. No complaints on the food, everything we ordered tasted great, I just don't think it was worth the cost.
Nicole S — Google review
Honestly, food was mediocre. Bahn mi barely had any seasoning that it tasted bland. Pizza was too thin, it felt closer to a crepe… too thin and soggy to be lifted at all. But taste wise, it wise fine. I wasn’t fan of the MANDATORY 20% tipping. If service was great, I’d be more than happy to leave 20-22% tip. But being subjected to paying great service tip for doing the minimal “taking order and simple serving”is unpleasant. I, as a customer, would rather have the choice in tipping of how well the server performs than being forced to pay higher end tip without a choice.

I hadn’t been to Gjelina in years and was very excited to return and experience it again. Unfortunately it was an underwhelming experience, with average food and rude service. We had a reservation and were seated outside on the second level. We were put a table that was mainly in the sun and asked the hostess if we could be seated at a shaded table. There were plenty of open tables. It was as if we had made an immense request. She was put-out and rude. Our server started equally as rude. The shaded table was uneven and kept rocking back and forth. We didn’t say anything, but the sever noticed and said “Well no one was supposed to be seated at that table. There’s an upcoming reservation.” So… you’d have to get a wedge for that reservation too. When I asked her what dishes she recommended as I hadn’t been there in years, she said “There’s too much to list.” When asked for a wine recommendation and said we usually drink Pinot Grigio, she replied “What kind of Pinot Grigio? There are so many varieties.” That was when I was over the service. There were only a handful of whites on the menu. It’s not an extensive wine list. Pinot Grigio gives you an idea of what we like. It’s not a Chardonnay or a Sauvignon Blanc. When the food arrived, it was fine. It wasn’t worthy of the price or attitude we received. The produce was fresh, but the food temperature was tepid. The pancakes were dense and mediocre. Not even the amount of blueberry compote or cream could save it. Ultimately the bill did not justify the food or service. Maybe it was an off day, but not a gamble I’m willing to take again. There are restaurants with far better service and food, especially for the price point.

Went for brunch, which was truly excellent. The Moroccan baked eggs with merguez was delicious , with just enough heat to enhance the flavors. I’m generally not a fan of pancakes, but the 9 grain pancakes were extremely tasty. Now if only they had a full liquor license (beer, wine, spritzes are the offerings)…

Came once a couple of months ago and didn’t have the best experience — our server called me “boo,” had an attitude, ignored my allergy concerns, and never checked on us. The only reason I didn’t leave a review then was because the manager handled it perfectly and completely turned the experience around. This time we came back for a birthday, had a great night, spent around $300 — and after paying, another guy (I assume a manager) came up and asked when we were leaving because they had reservations. Excuse me? There’s no sign or mention anywhere about a time limit. I’ve never been asked to leave a restaurant before. I gave him feedback, but he didn’t apologize. The table next to us, who’d been there longer, wasn’t asked to leave. Another table next to us was available for seating. So disrespectful. I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

The restaurant itself looks really cool and has a nice vibe to it. The staff was very nice and attentive. I thought the meatballs were very good. The pizza, not so much. We had the pomodoro pizza with burrata added. The pizza was so thin and almost soggy on the bottom, but the edge of the crust was black. You can not pick up a slice and hold it, you can eat with a knife and fork or kinda roll it up. I also ordered a sandwich, the sandwich tasted really good, but it was crispy on the edges and soggy bread in the middle from sitting in the dressing that was on the sandwich. Overall the flavors were very good, but the execution was lacking. I would like to see the bread and dough a little crispier throughout. The house-made sodas were very good! Definitely try the lime-aid. A couple things to note, there are no substitutions or changes allowed on the menu. There is no kids menu. Street parking, but we had no trouble finding parking. There is a large wine menu, but they do not serve any name brand sodas. They make their own sodas which were very good.

Food is good BUT WORST SERVICE. Came here for Father’s Day, left a note we want a quiet table because our parents are old, HOWEVER we were seated right under the speaker and the music was really LOUD. We told the server to lower the music, and it was better for a song and then volume was back on. We then asked again and the waiter couldn’t even hear us what we wanted and we asked again and again and the manager? (Dark curly hair man) came to say it’s impossible to lower the volume. So why it worked before? And he then came back handed over the bill we didn’t even finish our food by that time and we are only told that hey tips are mandatory and included. And there no way to remove it. I would go ahead and dispute with my bank. DO BETTER WITH YOUR SERVICE IF YOU ARE CHARGING 20% Also it’s illegal to charge mandatory service fee without notice.

The Original Pantry Cafe, a classic diner that has been serving American comfort food since 1924, is a bustling and lively spot in Los Angeles. Known for its generous portions and round-the-clock service, this iconic establishment draws long lines of patrons eager to savor its traditional dishes. From meatloaf to pancakes and sourdough toast, the menu offers hearty options that guarantee satisfaction.
The best breakfast place I have ever been to. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious. Sausage was out of this world good and juicy, the more you taste it the better it gets. Potatoes got good crisp on the outside. Always ask for salsa, very hard to pass! Best salsa I have ever had. Put it on top of your scrambled eggs! Portion is huge and price is very very good. The quality and taste are very consistent. We can tell that the cooks got some serious skills! Service was quick and amazing. They are very friendly and attentive, you will never see your coffee mug empty with these guys. Very well run restaurant. We got here 2 times in our 5 days trip. They take cash and cards for payment. Line gets pretty long on Saturday morning.

A must visit when in LA! My friends and I went during our long weekend visit in LA, and it was so worth it. No reservations, only walk-ins and it is a wait, a wait that is really worth it! It’s a lovely vintage style restaurant and brunch, lovely and attentive staffs (10/10 for customer service) Good; outstanding and so delicious. Very very filling, my friends and I cleaned out plate, and weren’t hungry until late dinner. Worth it and price too, thank you (10/10).

I recently visited a popular restaurant in Downtown Los Angeles that had a long queue, and out of curiosity, I decided to join the line. After about a 30-minute wait, I was finally seated. While the vibe was uniquely local, the food itself didn’t live up to my expectations. The portions were large, but the dishes were not particularly healthy, and in comparison to the food back home in Singapore, it didn’t feel worth the wait. I believe there are probably better dining options in the area, especially for someone with a preference for more healthy Asian cuisine. I don’t think I would recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Basic breakfast joint that isn’t that cheap. My pancakes were not fully cooked. Amazing that they give you more bacon than egg given egg is probably cheaper. Service is efficient. I suspect people like it because of the portions. Waited about 15 minutes to sit at 10am on a Wednesday.

Nice food, huge portion for Asians, value for money, fast service. Expect to queue after 8.30am. The grease smell is strong within the restaurant so you also smell like the food after dining. But it's good! Returning the second day in a row to try more food!

Great food, always busy, and good prices. I brought my dad and family here when they came to visit me from the Bay Area in LA, and they were impressed. It beats eating at Denny’s and IHOP, but be aware that it's so busy there's usually a line. They do validate parking across the street too. Highly recommend for Sunday breakfast, and I will definitely come back. I even saw a famous actor eat here once, so keep your eyes open 👀 for celebrities that are incognito 🥸

It's a famous place in LA, but for me, it was not as good as I was expecting. The place and the service were great, you need to wait a little to enter, the prices are higher than other similar places and it do not worth it in my opinion, the food flavor was normal, beside that it's a good and famous restaurant in LA

Eggslut is a popular egg-focused eatery located in the Grand Central Market of Los Angeles, with additional locations in LA and Las Vegas. Known for its long lines and Instagram-worthy dishes, Eggslut offers a menu that revolves around eggs, featuring omelets and American comfort food. The signature breakfast sandwiches are filled with cage-free scrambled eggs and various fresh ingredients, creating a messy yet satisfying dining experience.
Located in Grand Central Market we ordered breakfast sandwiches. I got an egg salad sandwich and an OJ. The place was busy but our order came out in short time. Workers were working hard to get orders out, all in front of a visible audience, as you wait for your name to be called. The egg salad sandwich was filling and delicious. I also enjoyed all of what Grand Central Market had to offer.

Eggslut is right at the entrance of the Central Market. Basically, it’s just scrambled eggs mixed with mashed potatoes. More hype than flavor. Their bacon and egg burger was pretty average; the bacon was a bit too salty and dry, nothing special and it’s not exactly cheap either.
Tracy T — Google review
Started from a food truck, now the most popular booth of Grand Central Market, as popular as they are, they close at 2pm, make sure you come here before it. Must order their Fairfax, caramelized onions perfectly blended into scrumble cheesey eggs, yummy 😋, and also suggest their fresh orange juice, just so right with the Fairfax Burger.
Bill L — Google review
This market is right next to our hotel and it's an internet-famous one. We tried the sandwich and bacon burger from Eggslut, and they were absolutely delicious. There were so many tourists ordering food here, which shows it’s really well-known. We ate at this spot for two days in a row, and we highly recommend it.

We got the Fairfax; bacon, egg & cheese; and sausage, egg & cheese sandwich; and truffle hash brown (without truffle). My group really enjoyed Fairfax due to the soft scrambled eggs. The second best was the bacon sandwich. We could have skipped the sausage sandwich for another Fairfax if we had been to this place before. The hash browns were good and crispy! The line to order was somewhat long - about a 20 mins wait. I don't think I would have waiting any longer than that - though, not many shops were open at 10 AM. There were various seating areas around the place and in front of Central Market. We went Sunday morning and it was decently crowded but quite a few seats are available.

The Baseline: For a breakfast/brunch cafe the food must be hearty/filling/satisfying for the early morning, there must be a mix of sweet and savory to fulfill that brunch/breakfast need, and service must be a welcoming start of your day experience. Food: Eggs. You come here for the egg dishes. #1 Bacon-Egg-Cheese sandwich is standard, good, and if they mess it up then you are in the mirror universe because it is the go-to dish. #2 Slut - excuse my French but it feels like a French dish of egg-potato yumminess in a jar with awesome bread for dippin’. Service: It is counter service and it is good and fine at the same time. Hard to mess up but it is hard to be amazing. Ambiance: Grand Central Market is the venue and the business and excitement of the market makes the ambiance. It is always fun to brunch here on the weekend.

The original location. Price can't be helped so I won't comment on value but the taste was absolutely phenomenal. Enjoyed the double cheeseburger. Although a bit messy, it did not disappoint. Eggs and patties cooked perfectly and added the crisp bacon for the crunch. Will go every time I visit LA.

Crustacean in Beverly Hills, CA is a renowned restaurant known for its creative Vietnamese cuisine and chic ambiance. Since 1995, it has been offering modern Asian dishes with a focus on Vietnamese flavors. The menu, curated by Master Chef Helene An, features healthy Vietnamese herbs and sustainable ingredients that change seasonally. The restaurant is famous for its signature dishes like garlic noodles in secret sauce, seafood plates, and truffle Wagyu burger.
Came in without a reservation for a late lunch on Father's Day and we were able to be seated within a few minutes. There was a limited menu for father's day labeled as brunch but it had a wide variety of items. The ube pancake was really good and the sticky ribs were delicious as were the pastrami egg rolls. Pot stickers and noodles were good as well. I'd go back to try their more traditional menu items. The service was excellent and very attractive.

Fancy ambiance and location, and a good place to celebrate something, but be ready to pay up. We got some dim sum, the orange chicken, the garlic noodles and crab, as well as the tuna cigars. Everything was good, but not mind-blowing and you can definitely find as good for much cheaper. Drinks were fun and interesting. A lot of it was clearly for the show and social media Service was mostly on point, but we were sat down and promptly ignored for 15 minutes even though there weren't that many other parties

Little C at Crustacean is a fantastic pop-up specializing in Vietnamese street food. The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. We were a party of 3, and all raved about our dishes. Together, we ordered the “Banh Hoi” Tiger Prawns, Chicken “Cha Gio” and Pho. I had the Chicken Pho while my dining partners had the Filet Mignon “Pho Xao Lan.” All agreed it was among the best pho we’ve had. The service was great, and the atmosphere for Little C was fun. I will absolutely be back to try Crustacean. I hope they bring back Little C more often.

I came here for the first time with my mother, and we had the best time ever. She was in town visiting for Mother’s Day, and I took her to Mother’s Day brunch here. Everything from the decor to the service to the food presentation and the taste was amazing. Even the bathrooms were awesome and super pretty. I couldn’t stop taking pictures with the full body mirror. Everything we tasted it was delicious. some things we ordered were very simple, but it packed a punch and it was well worth the money. my new favorite cocktail is a lychee martini because of them. And the DJ and the music was perfect for the day. We saw a few celebrities and the rest of the clientele were very nice and sweet. It was an overall wonderful experience and I look forward to coming back more often for brunch. we took a lot of photos and will cherish that day forever. My mother truly felt special and I’ve never seen that look on her face before until I took her there. thank you for that memory. As a girly girl, I loved coming to this pretty woman-owned place where they pay attention to detail like me :) there were even fish swimming in the floor, which was a wonderful touch!

As a Vietnamese person, I usually prioritize Vietnamese restaurants when I travel. That’s why I chose Chef An’s restaurant. But to be honest, I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the food. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Beverly Hills. The space is beautiful, romantic, and luxurious. I was impressed by the restaurant’s fish pond and the way it’s decorated with Vietnamese souvenirs. The staff are professional, friendly, and attentive. I understand this is a fusion-style restaurant inspired by some Vietnamese dishes. Therefore, if you’re looking for an authentic, traditional Vietnamese dining experience, you might want to skip this place. Come here with the mindset of a global citizen. The presentation of the dishes is unique and visually appealing. However, the flavors need more research and refinement. I ordered a lychee cocktail. It was a bit too sweet for my taste. It could use a hint of light, refreshing tartness from the lychee. At the moment, the coconut flavor seems to overpower the lychee. I ordered “Bánh khọt” as an appetizer. The crust lacked the signature crispy texture that it should have. My main course was crab noodles. This dish was quite salty for me. Both the crab and noodles were over-seasoned. I hope the chef can tone down the seasoning to better highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients. Note that you need to choose and order the noodles, protein, and vegetables separately from the menu. If not, you’ll end up with a simple Italian-style garlic noodle dish. The dessert, panna cotta, was decent. The prices are relatively expensive for the quality of the food.

Checked out Crustacean for the first time specifically for Little C Pop-Up by Chef John. Chef John’s thoughtful creativity; use of fresh ingredients; and exquisite plating were on point. Our only minor complaint was the oiliness of Banh Xeo, which Chef John immediately addressed and even offered to remake them for us. My husband & I had a lovely chat with Chef John and we were thoroughly impressed by him. Looking fwd to stalking his culinary career and what he gets up to next. Unfortunately, our lunch dining experience and interactions with Crustacean staff, including Chef Helene An, were subpar. 2 different servers asked what we thought but were taken aback by our less-than-glowing response. When I mentioned that the dipping sauce for DIY Goi Cuon was too oily for our liking, he said “that’s the first time we’ve heard that feedback”. Chef Helene An approached our table but immediately talked over me saying “thank you for visiting our restaurant”, while bowing slightly and walking backwards away from our table. My husband & I were left feeling confused by the dichotomy: asking us for our dining experience versus not being open to hearing our honest feedback. Having lived in LA for over 2 decades and knowing how lucky Angelenos are with this City’s diverse cuisine options, I don’t feel the need to spend our money here at Crustacean. My husband & I are in agreement. We will wait for Chef John’s restaurant and enjoy his delicious creations then.

As a Vietnamese guest, I was genuinely impressed by this restaurant’s ability to elevate our traditional street food into a refined, fine dining experience. Each dish was thoughtfully reimagined without losing the bold, authentic flavors I grew up with, especially the spring rolls, which were fresh, flavorful, and artfully presented. The ambiance was just as memorable, elegant and serene, with koi fish swimming beneath the glass floor under the tables, adding a unique touch. The special cocktail our waiter recommended was also outstanding — beautifully balanced and a perfect complement to the meal. 💯 masterpiece, ty Chef

I am not happy with Crustaceans any longer. I dont know what happened but it is not the high-end restaurant it use to be. Me and my family went here for our anniversary and the service was mediocre, you are constantly bating flies over your food and the flies in the hall and in the bathroom is ridiculous! I know they are in the kitchen. They blamed it on being a simi-outdoor restaurant but Ive been to many outdoor restaurants and they did not have a gnat/fly infestation all over the restaurant! They give you a fan for your table but that don't stop the gnats! The food was dry and clearly not made fresh. Because a lot of the items are popular it seems they make a bunch and let it sit. The food is very high and they give you very little. I cant believe we paid almost 300 dollars for this. They gave us some Jasmine sorbet and it tasted like cough medicine. It was so disgusting. I wont be returning here again

Alcove Cafe & Bakery, located on Hillhurst Avenue in Los Feliz, is a charming spot housed in historic bungalows. The cozy and plant-filled outdoor area adds to its appeal. The menu features American cuisine with a focus on home-baked goods and breakfast items like pancakes and biscuits. The cafe's ambiance is laid-back, making it an ideal place to catch up with friends or get some work done.
A cozy gem with charm to spare. The patio is perfect for a laid-back brunch or evening bite, surrounded by greenery and warm lighting. The menu is full of crowd-pleasers, fresh and flavorful with generous portions. The staff is friendly, the vibe is relaxed, and the setting feels like a little escape in the middle of the city. I especially like their Americano, which is consistently smooth and strong. Great spot for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet moment.

Alcove is a lovely cafe. At first I thought its proximity to the street would be a distraction but the greenery and walls provide a lovely facade. Waiting in line to order and then getting a table from waitstaff I feel is a good balance to deal with the high load of customers and limited seating. While my party had to wait to order we had plenty of time to peruse the menu and the ambience of the smalls front patio was a delight. Once we had ordered we were escorted to a table with no wait. I ordered a Caramel latte which was quiet good and the short rib benedict which I found to be excellent. I am curious to come back and try more of their menu but perhaps at a time of the day when they are hopefully not as busy.

I love places that feel like someone’s home was turned into a restaurant! The Alcove is an amazing place to spend time and I’m super glad I discovered it. Jeremy made my matcha latte perfectly. I’m glad they have coconut milk as a non-dairy option for drinks. I ordered the short rib sandwich and substituted the side dish for coconut rice. All in all, this is a gem of an establishment. I love the atmosphere, down to how nice the restrooms are — with lots of space and a little table to put down your purse. This place is great for any time of day and any type of meal. They have a full alcohol bar, a full cafe bar, and a restaurant and bakery. You really can’t go wrong. I would definitely come back!

The atmosphere was very chill. The decor very cute and chic. Having breakfast after a long hike was just what we needed. Avocado toast was delicious, but my steel cut oatmeal looked amazing. The presentation was outstanding, but it came out very thick and not hot. Not sure if that was the intent but either way it tasted very good.

The French fries and guacamole with chips were excellent, but the veggie burrito was just okay. The ambience, however, was amazing.

First time at Alcove did not disappoint! We got the Alcove Benedict, Avocado Toast and Crab toast - all were excellent. We also got a pistachio pastry that was SO good. Order at the counter and food was brought out within 10 minutes. Great spot!

Alcove was great. It’s got a nice environment and the workers are so friendly and helpful. I do wish that they’d provide a number for your table when you order coffee/sweets because the area to wait near the register is quite small but manageable. We got the chocolate chip cookie (vegan and dairy) and both were nice and warm. Coffee was also quite decent. I really felt for the workers as many customers seem to have forgotten basic manners but they all had smiles on their faces. We didn’t get to try any food but I do recommend for a late night dessert or coffee :)

It also sells jumpsuits and aprons made in collaboration with Suay Sew Shop in downtown Los Angeles.
Had such a good fish dip toast here this morning and drip coffee. I was initially confused by the setup inside since there were two ordering counters. The staff were super kind and helpful explaining how to order. The outdoor patio is huge and they brought my coffee and food out so quickly !! I loved the design inside and outdoor ambiance. The fish toast was heaven. An abundance of protein atop a fresh grainy toast. I bought cardamom walnut shortbread cookies to dip in my coffee which were also fabulous. I’ll definitely be back !! Love their sister operation Gjelina.

Paid over $30 for a forgettable breakfast for one person: $20 - Average breakfast burrito. Upmarket price was not justified in terms of size, quality, or flavor. $4.50 - Plain drip coffee $4.9 - 20% Mandatory surprise auto gratuity Plus tax My burrito was brought out in a timely manner but my coffee came 20 minutes later after checking with staff multiple times. So much for the premium gratuity for a counter order cafe. The place did have a charming industrial vibe to it with a nice patio.

Great and yummy sandwiches! There was freshness and flavor. There was a snafu with our order BUT it was still great and management handled it well. They also gave us free cookies! Can’t complain :)

EASILY one of the best breakfasts I have EVER had in my lifetime!!! Look you are going to drop $20 mostly anywhere and it’s easy to drop $30 here but it’s SoooooooO worth it. This place is literally the reason I choose to stay in the Venice Beach area on this trip. EVERYTHING THEY DO IS AMAZING!!! I arrived right before they opened on a Sunday and was the 1st customer of the day. Elias was the person who helped me and boy was he awesome. They are a very unique place and I usually am a quick order but in this case I definitely had some questions I ended up building my own sand which was some type of specialty onion bagels with onions baked into it WoW 😱 it hit different and was delicious. On top of it I knew I wanted Lox (shoutouts to DBlock) but I wasn’t sure what kind since they have a bunch of options. After talking to Elias and having him describe the differences I decided to try the Pastrami Lox (Gravlax). Perfect choice with that bagel. Add cream cheese and pickled red onions and the meal was Heavenly. I also wanted an iced coffee. After asking for a recommendation Elias told me about the Salted Mocha which was right up my alley. Simply incredible. I love this place so much I will definitely be back for lunch. Probably to have a Pastrami sandwich

Taking number and placing order was really easy, and atmosphere was great. However I definitely ordered the wrong dish. I got the $24 brisket hash and that was some of the worst brisket hash I’ve ever had. The meat was SUPER chewy cubes, it tasted like bad stew meat. The egg looked like it might be runny but was overcooked and had mostly solid yolk. Ended up sharing my husband’s Italian sandwich that was pretty good at least. Also got a pistachio croissant that was amazing. So, bakery is great, I was just so utterly disappointed by the brisket and pricing that I wouldn’t come back unless I was just grabbing bread or a pastry.

I lived in Venice before the pandemic, and remember Gjusta having the most incredible cold brew and pastries. 5+ years later, only the cold brew holds up. The pastries are fine, but they lack the crispy flakiness that separates a great pastry from a good one. The flies have also become a big problem out back. Still love Gjusta, but some of the shine has definitely worn off. Where can a man get a great pastry in LA??

Crossroads Kitchen in Melrose offers an upscale dining experience with a sophisticated selection of vegan dishes, complemented by a variety of wines and cocktails. The restaurant's elegant ambiance appeals to both vegans and non-vegans alike, providing a refined setting for enjoying plant-based cuisine that doesn't feel like traditional vegan fare.
We are not vegan, but we really enjoyed the food here. The spicy rigatoni with chicken parm was excellent—full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The calamari was also very good, crispy and tasty. The atmosphere was great and very welcoming. The service was also very good; the staff was friendly and quick. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty and enjoyable meal.

For all vegan lovers, Crossroads Kitchen in West Hollywood is a must. Great atmosphere with dimmed lighting. Table spacing is comfortable. Very knowledgeable staff and very helpful when ordering. Plan to order several dishes and share (we had 6). Shoutout to our server Karina, manager Dave, and also helping was Jesus. We don't live in LA and this is our second time going.

LOVE Crossroads. I drive up from San Diego because they are consistently the best restaurant, everything I have ordered there is delicious, I love that seasonal options change and bring newness to the menu while being able to rely on staples. Friends have commented that 'you would never know it's vegan pizza' and 'this is the best breakfast croissant I have ever had' (vegan or otherwise!). Beautiful decor, great service! The vegas location is great too! The moussaka was sooo good, cheese plate always good. I mean everything just SO good!

We tried their tasting menu and were happy with the options they had. While expensive, we got to try various small plates, unique in their presentation and taste. The interior had a busy, yet cozy fine dining vibe. Their dishes have heavy truffle taste, so if you're not a fan of mushrooms, may want to go elsewhere.

My friend booked a reservation as this is one of their favorite spots and as I was traveling from New York, i thought we should go somewhere nice anyway! This restaurant ended up being exceptional. The cocktail was a mind-blowing array of flavors and I enjoyed the eggplant short rib very much. When i am back in the area, i would love go back!

Hands-down, the best vegan plant based restaurant we tried in LA. The food was amazing. Every single dish we got was flavorful. It is à la carte style, so be ready to share and definitely save room for dessert. We are so satisfied with our first experience here that we are going to be coming back to try it one more time before we head back home to Vancouver BC.

Might be the best vegan restaurant in LA. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for both casual outings and special occasions, while the staff always goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel comfortable and cared for. IHOP is a well-established chain known for its diverse selection of pancakes and classic American breakfast and diner dishes. The restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere with friendly service, making visitors feel right at home. While some patrons may find the food to be average, others appreciate the generous portion sizes and varied menu options. IHOP's convenient location with ample free parking adds to its appeal, making it a popular choice for a satisfying meal before heading out for the day's adventures.
We hadn’t been to IHOP in ages, but our friends from Hong Kong were eager to try it. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and sweet. The cookie butter pancakes were absolutely delicious, and the chicken and waffles were equally tasty. The waffles were so flavorful that they could be enjoyed on their own.
Ann L — Google review
I was going to eat at In-N-Out right in front, but there were too many people, so I went across the street to IHOP. The service was late, so it took a while for the food to come out. The food was fresh and delicious. I went for lunch, but there weren't many people.
James H — Google review
We kicked things off with mozzarella sticks — crispy outside, gooey inside, a solid starter. For mains, we had the steak tips with scrambled eggs, hash browns, and onions, a stack of (protein) chocolate chip pancakes, and the cinnamon roll pancakes loaded with caramel, cream cheese drizzle, and whipped cream. The steak tips were tender and flavorful with the sautéed onions and mushrooms, eggs were fluffy, and the hash browns had that perfect crispy edge. The pancakes hit both ends of the spectrum: the chocolate chip ones gave classic comfort, while the cinnamon roll stack was pure indulgence. The coffee was great — smooth, hot, and refilled often, which is always a win. Service was quick and friendly too. The only downside isn’t the food, it’s the location. The restaurant itself is good, but the area feels a bit unsafe with a lot of homeless activity around. The back door was locked, so we had to walk around to the front entrance, which was inconvenient. Overall: solid IHOP food and service, but the surroundings may be off-putting depending on the time of day you visit.

Redbird is a stylish restaurant located in the former rectory of the Cathedral of Saint Vibiana in Los Angeles. It offers innovative New American cuisine and creative cocktails, making it a popular spot for well-dressed locals. The dining experience is enhanced by the retractable-roofed dining room and various private dining spaces, including an olive tree-lined garden with a pizza oven.
As we acclimate to being parents and finding places that we can pop in and still have a good time with our baby, Redbird raised the bar. We were able to walk in firstly get to order from the happy hour menu which does come with the requirement of being seated inside in their lounge area but it in itself is a vibe! Food was amazing, the servers were kind and attentive, and the drinks and bartenders were next level great! Baby friendly, and spacious to walk around. The whole aesthetic is beautiful and I recommend this for anyone traveling to LA

We came here on the day the LA protests were happening. So things would have been quieter i am sure. I highly recommend the prawns which were full of flavor. The snap peas were so refreshing and delightful. I really liked the Cavatelli because it wasn't too heavy. The pork chop was prepared very well. The desserts were just OK. The guava sorbet was gritty and the Earl Grey didn't quite come together. The outside air tables were nice but definitely would have been better with the helicopter or loud blasts. Service was good and staff were very informative. This place was worth the visit!
Laynee — Google review
Great vibe, nice hospitality, can’t beat the setting. The food was good but not out-of-this-world good. Our favorite part was actually the free bread to start the meal. We weren’t told what it was but it was stuffed with a light cheese? and it was amazing. The crudo was fine but nothing unique. The roasted figs were very good but very sweet, it’s right up there for one of the best desserts I’ve ever had, but was an appetizer. The pasta was also fine, but pretty unremarkable. Not pictured is the smoked bbq tofu, which was good and a big portion, but also very sweet, it was really the only flavor to the dish. Mango pudding for dessert was beautiful but I’d get something else if I returned. The scoop of frozen yogurt was exceptional.

Met up with friends for a truly delicious dinner. Highlights: Good happy hour deals, but the discount does not apply to the dining area though you may still order anything from that menu. Food favorites: prawns w/ pineapple salsa, summer truffled gnocchi, whole crispy branzino, and peach and cream pie. Prawns were succulent while the salsa added some tartness that enhanced the overall flavor and the almonds on top added a contrast in texture. The gnocchi were incredibly soft and paired nicely with the corn crema, could have done with more truffles though. Branzino was served with a beautiful lemongrass broth that is poured on top at the table. The branzino was tender and absorbed the broth's flavor well. Peach and cream pie was light and a lovely way to end the evening. The restaurant was about half full, which wasn't bad for a weeknight evening, but when I came years back, they were packed on a weeknight. It didn't help that there were a dozen police cars lined up across the street when my friends arrived (we have no clue what was happening). Definitely get the apprehension about coming out to DTLA, but there are restaurants like Redbird that are worth coming out for, especially if you're looking for an elegant and worthwhile dining experience.

The atmosphere is chill but distinctly upscale. The inside seating has a fancy lounge vibe to it. We sat outside with the open air ceiling and it was very pleasant. This iconic spot is popular for its sun-drenched patio that has become an Instagram-worthy location.
We had such a great time here—it was absolutely worth the wait! Even though it’s right in the heart of West Hollywood, the vibe was relaxed and inviting. Our waitress was wonderful—super kind and helpful with recommendations. The food was incredible. We tried the vegan burrito, beef and breakfast empanadas, plus the truffle chicken sandwich. Everything was delicious! The chicken sandwich was especially flavorful, but definitely on the spicy side—so keep that in mind if heat isn’t your thing. We came right at lunchtime on a Saturday, so there was a wait, but it was completely worth it. Highly recommend!

We canceled a visit to Los Angeles in 2021 during a Covid resurgence, so that’s exactly how long I’ve been waiting to eat here. It was worth the wait! I brought my kids this morning and they liked their pancakes. But, me? The latte art made my day. The lemon ricotta pancakes? The best I’ve EVER had. Seriously. Made in a cast iron pan, they stayed hot. They melted in my mouth. They were truly exceptional. I made reservations about two weeks out without issue and found parking right out front. I have no idea if I’ll be back, but this is a rare meal I know I’ll remember for years to come.

We went for brunch at 1:30 pm (indoor dining, table for 8) and had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was inviting and charming - bright, chic, West Hollywood‐style aesthetic. Our server, Shamera, was exceptional. She greeted us warmly, made thoughtful recommendations, checked in on us at just the right times, - without being overbearing, and ensured everything ran smoothly. Although a service charge was already included, we chose to tip extra because Shamera’s service genuinely stood out. Food was fresh, well‐presented, and enjoyable, in line with the high marks the restaurant gets for its menu of modern California cuisine with European influences and specialty coffee beverages. Best pancake I’ve had (Lemon ricotta). In short: a beautiful spot with great food and truly friendly, attentive service. We’ll definitely return!

The Butcher, The Baker, The Cappuccino Maker is one of those iconic LA brunch spots — bright, floral, and very Instagram-worthy. Service was friendly, and we were lucky to find street parking right in front. The signature rainbow latte was beautiful but tasted like a regular latte with a very mild coffee flavor — great for photos, not much else. The Skillet-baked Seafood Omelette wasn’t really an omelet, more like a flat egg base topped with smoked salmon and squid rings. The Butcher Benedict was okay — crispy fried chicken, well-poached eggs, but the sauce was a bit too heavy. The side potatoes were actually the best part. We spent over $100 for two people, which felt pricey for the quality. Overall, a nice place for the vibe, but not for the food.

We went to BBCM with high expectations and ordered the colored coffee and the breakfast burrito. The flavor was good, and the service was attentive. The prices are a little high, but that’s understandable since the presentation is quite unique. In the end, it really depends on what you’re looking for.

Located on the corner of Los Feliz Boulevard and Hillhurst Avenue, this neighborhood gem exudes a laid-back vibe with excellent coffee and a menu featuring perfectly executed brunch classics like polenta and eggs, steak and eggs, house-made grilled Italian sausage, as well as ricotta cheese & fresh blueberry pancakes.

What a charming gem of a restaurant! This place has been on our list to check out for a while, and I finally had the chance to visit, and it did not disappoint. Well decided to sit at the bar due to the wait time, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. Our bartender, Laura, was fantastic! She provided us with great food recommendations and made some delicious drinks. Time: noon/brunch Ordered: - rice balls -sausage/pepperoni pizza -fried potatoes

If you find yourself in Los Angeles, and especially near the Griffith Park area then search out Little Dom's. The menu has something for everyone's tastes, yet simple and not packed with menu item after menu item. What they do, they do RIGHT!. The oyster po-boy was well seasoned with meaty pacific coast oysters and the pickled green tomatoes on it were a game changer. The spaghetti and meatballs did not disappoint, and combined with an arugula salad were a true delight. If your there at dinner time you might want to try the buffalo mozzarella and market tomatoes - It was refreshing and just the right amount of seasoning to highlight the dish. The Chef de Cuisine Luke O'Grady and the Little Dom's team didn't disappoint in service and the establishment has a warm feeling and a sense of community.

Great local spot. Not too expensive for lunch or their Monday supper deal, some real gems on the menu and the service is amazing and sometimes shockingly fast. Nestled in the charming Beachwood Canyon neighborhood, Beachwood Cafe has been delighting locals and visitors alike since its inception in 2012. This delightful American eatery is a haven for food lovers, offering a diverse menu that caters to both vegan and vegetarian diets while also featuring an impressive selection of wines and craft brews. The cafe's ambiance is whimsical yet cozy, making it an ideal spot to unwind after exploring the nearby Hollywood Sign.
This is a cute little restaurant right down the hill of the Hollywood Sign. Parking was easy in the adjacent parking lot. This place normally is packed during lunch and they don't do reservations during that time. We have a large group and wanted to sit together, so the manager recommended us come in the late afternoon instead. That way we can reserve the back room and have a space to ourselves. That was a great suggestion and we enjoyed our time here. I really like their multiple menu options for coffee/latte. I ordered the iced guava matcha and it was not too sweet not too bitter, just the way I like it. The food were delicious too. My friend ordered the pizza and it's those thin-crust ones, which I liked as well. The fries I ordered were cooked to perfection, crispy outside but tender inside, with the perfect amount of salt and seasoning. The service was excellent as well.

What a gem in the Hollywood Hills! Beechwood Cafe exceeded all expectations for a perfect breakfast spot. The atmosphere strikes that ideal balance between cozy neighborhood charm and quality dining that makes you want to linger over your meal. The food was absolutely outstanding - everything arrived beautifully plated and bursting with flavor. The scrambled eggs were perfectly fluffy and creamy, the roasted potatoes had that perfect golden crispiness, and the fresh salad was a delightful touch that elevated the whole plate. You can really taste the care and quality that goes into each dish. What impressed me most was the attention to detail - from the thoughtful presentation to the warm, crusty bread served alongside. The staff was welcoming and attentive without being intrusive, creating that perfect breakfast ambiance where you can truly relax and enjoy your meal. This is exactly the kind of local spot that makes a neighborhood special. Whether you’re a local looking for your new breakfast go-to or visiting the area, Beechwood Cafe delivers an experience that feels both elevated and comfortingly familiar. I’m already planning my next visit! Highly recommended for anyone seeking a quality breakfast in a warm, inviting setting.

Sqirl is a trendy cafe known for its global-inspired breakfast and lunch options, featuring housemade jams in a minimalist setting. The place is often crowded with local hipsters and occasional celebrities waiting to savor the quirky-sounding dishes. The menu mainly offers vegetarian options, along with some standout meat dishes like rabbit confit and roast chicken. Sqirl gained fame through Jessica Koslow's jam empire and received high praise from renowned food critics for its innovative cuisine.
Visited Sqirl in Los Angeles and loved it! I had the strawberry matcha which was delicious—not too sweet—and added the whipped cream on top (extra $2) and wow, totally worth it. Also ordered the ricotta toast, which was not only beautiful but absolutely delicious and super photogenic. The cashier was nice and friendly, and the whole cafe has a cozy, welcoming vibe. Definitely a spot I’d come back to!

The wait in queue to order is part of the journey. Tell your meal companion(s) to institute a no-phone rule and have deep discussions that plumb the depths of your psyches, which is a proper prelude to plumbing the depths of these thick slabs of toast and brioche. The food is not only instantly 'gram-able but unique and delicious, too. The silky egg and latke tater tot inside the breakfast sandwich is truly one of a kind. The creme brulee brioche that sits drenched, per the menu, for 42.5 hours in custard before being served with ricotta, jam and syrup is bonkers good. Embrace the wait. Find your zen. It's all worth it. (The drip coffee is a lightly acidic light roast that tastes better than it should.)

Best breakfast ever. First time here and everything blew us away. Shaq, disco bowl, salmon latke, French toast. All of it-10/10. Can’t wait for them to open for dinner service in December!

Beyond excellent food and nice staff. Be prepared to wait. Its worth it. 42.5 Hour French toast is amazing. When Sally met Sally is not to be missed. We will be back.

A long-term follower of sqirlla on Instagram, I finally got to try their famous pesto bowl on my short trip to LA. Love the texture of the rice and would recommend it to people who could handle acidity. Their turmeric julius is phenomenal. Would love to come here for breakfast everyday and try every dish on their huge menu!

Oh. My. Lord. This is probably one of the best breakfast joints I’ve ever been to… and I’m a serial foodie as you can tell by the hundreds of reviews I have! The french toast is INSANE. Omg, i couldn’t stop eating it. The breakfast sandwich?! One of the best I’ve ever had. This was on my list of restaurants to hit on my past LA trip and I am SO glad I stopped by. There was no wait on a Friday morning at around 10am btw and plenty of seating.

Amazing brunch spot. Lots of different items on the menu. Everything was so flavourful. Staff is excellent and very helpful.
Nelson K — Google review
The service was calm and friendly. The menu is large and the space is set up for more of a coffee shop, so there’s not much room to look at the menu. I suggest looking the menu up before hand, to get a general idea of what you’re looking at/for. The food was amazing. Healthy, well balanced, and friendly for vegan and gluten free persons.

House of Pies is a retro coffee shop located in Los Feliz, housed in a distinctive cottage-style building. It has been family-owned and operated since 1969, making it the only surviving original House of Pies franchise in California. The menu offers a wide range of diner fare including burgers, pancakes, sandwiches, and their signature dessert - the Strawberry Cream Pie. Open until the early hours of the morning, this iconic spot is known for its stellar customer service and reasonably priced menu.
My Croissant French toast was good, but my husband's waffle was perfection on a plate. You can see the observatory from the patio (which is also dog friendly). Will definitely come back to try more from the menu.

The key lime pie was the best I had ever had. The old school diner charm is spot on! One of my favorite spots in L.A. I highly recommend it for a great breakfast experience.
Garen A — Google review
Not quite as nice as the Houston versions, but after a late night out in Los Feliz, it's a great place to nestle into an oversize booth and indulge in a slice of pie - preferably southern pecan a la mode, heated to maximize the sugary ooze. Savory items are good too at HOP and served from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. at this Jetsons era googie diner off Vermont Ave. The menu is extensive. You can order anything from an omelet with a side of sautéed veggies [seen here], to what is billed on the menu as Thanksgiving Dinner any day of the year. But save room for dessert, bc whether it's Thanksgiving or any other day of the year, a meal at HOP Los Angeles is not complete without the pie!

I LOVE going to House of Pies, especially for the lemon meringue pie and to see Karina! She is a waitress there and has been a helpful and wonderful presence. I'm very happy to eat pot roast, or chicken pot pie, and enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant. Food is great, service is quick, and the staff are always welcoming. Thank you!

I was seriously debating whether to upload this review. I travel and I do reviews of cool places. So whenever I see a Dinner style place I feel the call of home made comfort food draw me in!!! I’ve also been on a calorie deficit and decided I’d use my off day to eat one large meal as a “me time” lunch date. I passed this place so many times over the last year and I decided I’d try it! So I thought I’d ordaer a turkey dinner! Like make me feel like home! And a slice of key lime pie! That’s sensible right! It came with a cup of soup/salad (chicken and rice was my choice!!!) and two sides (mashed potatoes, brown gravy, corn, cranberry sauce) yummm!! Wrong! Unfortunately I felt like I got a very expensive tv dinner!!!! For starters the rice in the soup was mushy and over cooked. The turkey was like lunch meat or maybe turkey from the HOrmel heat em up box from the freezer aisle. Mashed potatoes were watery, corn was not crisp it was like goey so idk if it was reheated or over cooked idk! I don’t send food back I just bare with it. The gravy was definitely from the jar. Nothing homemade about it Where a homemade turkey dinner would likely be 800-1000 calories with turkey, gravy mashed and corn …. This was likely obscene. I could not eat anything else the rest of the day because I have no idea where this came from. I ordered the key lime pie and it was great although the slice was pretty small for 8 dollars this is my biggest complaint. And service was absolutely great! I’d just be very cautious of what you want vs what you order.

We wanted to try the all American PIE and thought where better than House of Pies! We arrived and were told to sit anywhere , people came in after us were taken to a table given menus served water and order taken before we even got a menu . We finally ordered got the pies which we were not that great to be fair. When we went to pay there was confusion at the register and the manager quickly and promptly tried to rectify the situation apologizing and making the bad experience into one which we will return and give it another go. The other tables were having meals that looked BIG and really nice.
Jody G — Google review
We waited about 35-40 minutes to be served. We ordered two teas and 3 slices of pie. Another party of 2 were served after us. Got their teas, food, and pies before us. When we asked for more hot water for our teas, the waitress gave us 2 more cups half full. In the end we decided to ask for our slices of pie to go. In about 5 minutes they were ready. Felt kinda off. Would recommend to go instead.

Great White is a popular all-day cafe with multiple locations, including a new outpost in West Hollywood. The restaurant offers a bright and airy interior with a Tulum-inspired vibe. Known for its California-style cuisine, the menu features New American classics like burgers and sandwiches, as well as wood-fired pizzas made from a sourdough starter that originated in Sicily over a decade ago. Diners can enjoy innovative pizza options such as Smoked Salmon Pizza and Truffle Fungi.
Delicious food. The breakfast burrito was average size but packed full of flavor. The dipping sauce was top notch. The breakfast sandwich was equal in flavor to the burrito. This place is popular for a good reason so expect a wait if coming at peak times, but so worth the wait. Service was friendly and fast. Their prices were comparable to the area, but definitely worth it for how tasty everything was. Overall if you want a delicious meal any foodie would love them come here.

Great service and a welcoming atmosphere at Great White in Venice. The avocado dip was absolutely delicious, as were the Diavola pizza and the burger – full of flavor and perfectly prepared. The highlight of the meal was definitely the Sourdough Bread Pudding – hands down the best dessert we’ve had in a long time, truly outstanding. The interior is cozy and full of character, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Ambiance: Relaxed, boho-inspired setting with a spacious patio for outdoor seating. It’s a pleasant place to hang out, though not really set up for working despite a few people doing so. Suggestion: maybe change the water glasses. Customer Service: The staff were nice and welcoming, adding to the laid-back vibe. Food: The food was good, though nothing particularly special. I’d be open to trying it again for the atmosphere and patio space.

We had such a fantastic time at the Great White Cafe! The atmosphere was great, and the food was even better. My burger was absolutely tremendous - juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. My girlfriend loved her chocolate mousse, which was rich and decadent. Highly recommend this spot for a delicious meal and a great vibe!

The Great White served probably the best poke I’ve ever had — incredibly fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The space is great too, with both indoor and outdoor seating options that make for a relaxed and pleasant vibe. The staff were friendly and welcoming, though the service was a bit on the slow side. Still, the food more than made up for it. Definitely worth a visit!

We had a great lunch at Great White in Venice and it’s definitely worth the visit if you’re in the area. We arrived on a sunny Saturday around 1:45 PM and waited about 40 minutes for a table. The wait wasn’t bad at all — we just put our name in, strolled around the neighborhood, and got a text when it was our turn. Once seated, we quickly realized it was hot — no umbrellas for shade that day — but we huddled in close and made it work (there is also indoor seating as well. We timed our visit perfectly so the entire menu was available. Breakfast runs from 8 AM to 3 PM, while the rest (salads, sandwiches, bowls, pizzas, etc.) starts at 11 AM. Food highlights: • Bolognese 🍝– My 9-year-old ordered it and loved it (I managed to steal one bite and agree, it was fantastic). • Avocado 🥑toast – Fresh, flavorful, and even better with the chile oil served on the side. • Market chop salad – Came with sweet summer peaches 🍑during our visit. Crisp, light, and refreshing. • Salmon mezze – Our server’s recommendation and a total standout. The salmon was perfectly cooked and topped with pickled Thai chiles 🌶, pickled onions, capers, and fresh herbs (mint, cilantro, dill). By creating your own bites you can create a perfect balance of heat, tang, and freshness. Overall, Great White is a win for groups — whether you’re craving breakfast classics, hearty pastas, crisp salads, or flavorful mains, there’s something for everyone. I’d definitely come back.

Super cute space right off the beach. Food and presentation were excellent. Cocktails were well balanced, and love that they list their local farms, suppliers and partners.

A really solid breakfast option. It can be extremely busy with long lines, but we got lucky this past Saturday and were able to sit down right when we arrived for a party of four at 10:30 AM. Parking in this area is pretty tricky, the best option will be a pay lot or if you’re lucky enough to find street parking. I really like the design of this place. It’s really open, bright, and in a refurbished brick building, which really adds to the style. Service was a bit slow, I would say that was the weakest point of the meal, but still the whole experience was really nice. The menu is not very large, but it has a lot of California contemporary classics on it. We stopped in mainly to do drinks so we ended up ordering just a few appetizers. My favorite of the bunch was ceviche. It was really fresh and light and something that I would order again. I plan to be back in the near future to try more items.

Cameo Beverly Hills is a stylish hotel with a hip, '60s vibe that offers a poolside Italian eatery, a lobby lounge, and a spa. The hotel's 347 guestrooms are decorated in ocean tones of sand and light azure, providing a relaxing beach-like atmosphere. For those staying in the poolside cabana rooms, there's the added luxury of a private sundeck with a fire pit for evening relaxation. Mr.
Second time staying here since last year. Walkability is great, walked to cafe’s restaurants and Rodeo Drive. Had huge shopping bags so all the stores were more than happy to deliver at this hotel . Eduardo our bar tender made us feel very welcome and had a nice personal touch when my guests came over . He served each of the guests without skipping a beat. Even stopped to have a conversation with every guest and I’m sure they felt like we did … like we were the only guests he had. So genuine . That’s talent, This is a boutique hotel and for the price and location is a steal of a value . They are renovating over the next few years and once it’s finished will command three times the price like the other hotels in this area . We’ve stayed in many of them . The ROI is not the same. I told them I would still stay here for once they finish even if prices become par with the rest of the area. Especially if they keep the vibe. Breath taking view. Quiet and residential . Great staff. Desert room service was super special. Every staff member right down to the person cleaning the elevator doors to the ones who delivered me bottles of water every day was super attentive. Attention to clean air and filtered shower in rooms. Our go to when we are visiting family .

Great personell. Very welcoming, all of them. Good location yet the rooms seem kind of dated.. no fridge? Nice soaps, seems clean, great view (Beverly hills view). Was not affected by the ongoing renovation, except that I mistakenly went into the elevator that is being used for renovation. Overall a great experience, yet not a 5 star from me today.

Newly renovated rooms are gorgeous. The valet gentleman are very attentive and kind. We had an amazing experience with the front desk. Robert and Rain were the sweetest and took care of us during our stay. Great conversation and helped us with anything we needed from Ice to recommendations. This location is walking distance to a lot of shopping and great cafes. We will definitely stay here again.

Booked a Daybed with my friend and once again it was such a beautiful experience. I had previously been there with my family. I was so happy to see Eddie who took care of us from our last visit was there! Eddie is truly an amazing person! He is a gem! He literally elevated our experience to the maximum. From the moment we arrived he was super friendly and incredibly bubbly and attentive. We felt super welcomed and comfortable, especially because he checked on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed whether food, drinks or a friendly chat! Eddie genuinely cares about the guests! Its rare to find someone so consistent , professional and enthusiastic! Overall it was a perfect day! I would definitely recommend this spot for a pool day because it will be an unforgettable experience!

This was by far the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. To start, house cleaning stole cash out of my room, and when I reported it, I was told theft is an ongoing problem here. Management and front desk staff were completely unhelpful. I even had to file a police report myself because the hotel offered no resolution. The in-room safes don’t work in some rooms, so you can’t even protect your valuables. The showers had no hot water, and the furniture is old, worn-out leather. When you open the dressers, they reek of fish. On top of that, there’s ongoing construction throughout the hotel, creating constant loud noise all day long. The staff at the front desk and management are some of the least helpful people I’ve ever dealt with. Customer service simply does not exist here. Between the theft, the lack of basic amenities, the terrible condition of the rooms, and the endless noise, this place is a complete disaster. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this hotel.

An amazing hotel to stay in the city! I absolutely loved my stay here. The views of the city from the room are breathtaking, and the pool with a bar is the perfect spot to enjoy the sun while still having peace, privacy, and a relaxing atmosphere. The gym is well-equipped, and the lobby bar offers delicious cocktails — definitely worth a try! There’s also complimentary coffee and tea every morning, which was a lovely touch. The entire staff is incredibly kind and helpful, always going above and beyond to make your stay perfect. A special shout-out to James and Oduwa at the front desk — their attention and service were outstanding! My room was spotless every day, always cleaned by 11am with fresh towels daily, thanks to the excellent housekeeping team. I didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant this time, but I’m already planning to return — this is definitely a hotel I’d come back to 100%. You truly feel special and valued from the moment you check in. If you’re looking for a clean, beautiful, and welcoming hotel that’s also well located and close to tourist spots, this is it. Highly recommend!
Andrea A — Google review
Nice hotel particularly due to the balconies! If your staying here and enjoy quiet I would request a room facing away from the main road as it was quite noisy during the nights. The pool area is great and gets a nice amount of sun throughout the day. A few areas to improve was housekeeping as I ended up daily without towels, bath mat, hand towel as they kept forgetting to replace them when removing used towels. Also no kettle or mini fridge in the room wasn’t ideal, but reception were able to source a kettle for my use during my stay which was great.
N T — Google review
This hotel should be better given the price and location. It is under-staffed and under construction, leading to limited on-site amenities - gym is small and sad, pool is ok and the lobby is tiny. I found cigarette butts and smoking items on my balcony chair upon check-in. I pointed this out to the front desk which fixed the issue eventually - zero apologies from management. I've had better service at the Hampton Inn chain. Hilton is a shadow of itself now. Suggest you look at the Marriott which is 2 blocks over and also walking distance to downtown Beverly Hills. Beverly is a great location to explore LA from in general.

Norah is a trendy restaurant situated on Santa Monica Boulevard, offering an eclectic contemporary American menu and seasonal cocktails. The upscale eatery provides a luxurious dining experience with wide cushioned seats and a marble bar for enjoying drinks and appetizers. The restaurant features an open, airy ambiance for dinner every night of the week, as well as daytime service on Saturdays and Sundays.
Been waiting for a while now to go to Norah, and since the covid restrictions were lifted recently I jumped at the opportunity. We were a bit late to a 8pm reservation but it was okay. The staff were very friendly and asked us what we wanted to drink while we wait for our table: it was very busy for a Friday evening but that’s also probably because restrictions were just lifted. The cocktails were delicious. I tried the passion fruit margarita and the kiwi sour. Both typical cocktails with a nice twist. The food was also very good. You’re meant to share the plates. We got the cornbread which is a must! Make sure to put some of the butter on top. We also got the gnocchi and a pizza. It’s also a really nice atmosphere outside at the back. Make sure to be seated there if you can. Be prepared to pay around $80 per person. Will definitely be adding this to my favorites in West Hollywood!

Had the Wagyu steak with eggs, cornbread and a mezcal cocktail. The food here is flawless and deliciously so. The restaurant is pretty and so are the servers. There’s a nice patio. I really enjoyed the music. Even the bathrooms are remarkable. Meter parking.

Well hidden location with a quaint and symmetrical atmosphere. I arrived when they opened at 11AM for brunch. I was lucky enough to be one of the only people eating at the time. The steak and eggs. Both of which were absolutely perfect! The steak has the perfect combination of fat and steak for the morning. The sauce was delicious. I spread it across everything. The eggs were a great creamy flavor pair with the steak. The biggest shock to me qere the potatoes. Usually just a part of the plate that never are considered a highlight. These potatoes were top tier and to me added hearty to the trio. They stole the show. They look like chicken wings. I totslly thought they were.

This is my second time dining at Norah during COVID; both times were Brunch. This is a super cute restaurant tucked away on Santa Monica Blvd. with plenty of outdoor seating on the sidewalk and in their back patio. Parking Unfortunately, Norah does not offer valet during Brunch. However, we found metered parking. Ambiance Upon arrival, I was welcomed with a very friendly Host. I was seated in the back patio. The overall vibe of the restaurant is modern with a touch of chic and gorgeous ceramic serve ware (see photos). Customer Service I want to start off by saying the Floor Manager, Charles was extremely helpful and more than accommodating to my needs. My server, Matt (and the rest of the staff) was knowledgeable of the menu and friendly. Matt also checked up on us from time to time, making sure I was okay which was greatly appreciated. Food Quality I would describe the food as very LA - European / French with a little bit Mediterranean. All the food was cooked well. Presentation was on point and modern. Flavors were bold but made sense with each dish. Portion sizes were a perfect amount; not too much, not too little. Some of my favorite dishes that I would recommend are the Cast Iron Corn Bread (their specialty butter is amazing), Eggplant and Cauliflower (my Husband's favorite, the charred cauliflower, tahini sauce, pistachios and fresh herbs are to die for), and the Breakfast Pizza (with each bite, there is a hint of sweetness in the cheese that is so interesting, MUST TRY). Will I be back again? Yes. Would I recommend this place to my friends and family? Double YES. :)

Love the vibe, live jazz music on Sunday noons and great interior design. The food is not the best, and while I was there their service was terrible. Took 1 hour for a french fries after we ordered it and tool 30 minutes for a drink. I think they can do better in terms of food quality, menu items and service.

The ultimate on-street experience while in solitary confinement. They make great salads. Hand-crafted cocktails alongside their Italian-style pizza were our favorites. The fanciful ambience and exemplary service makes it one of LA's trendiest locations. Also, make sure you visit their sister site, Margot, in Culver City for one more unprecedented experience.

The brunch here was just perfection. We had the Little Gem salad, Calabrese pizza and yellowtail crudo. And a couple of cocktails. Everything was amazing, top notch food/drinks and service all around. The menu was a little bit smaller than what I’m used to. But what was there was more than enough. The interior design of the place was just so artsy, funky and beautiful. Parking tip... we parked at the City Hall garage. A tiny bit of a wait for the high tech motorized garage but cheap enough and only a block away.

Went for dinner on Sunday, had a nice table at the patio but overlooking the dining room. Our waiter Jack was super nice and friendly. My experience on different times at Norah is that the "hosts" haven't been super friendly and sometimes looked surprised you're showing up at the entrance. Food was ok. The aguachile was beautiful, the potatoes were good as an appetizer, perfectly done, the tahini sauce was good but too heavy for the potatoes, maybe a second dressing such as truffle ketchup or an aioli. The pork confit was absolutely delicious, try it.. Octopus a la plancha should be removed from the menu, that plate just doesn't work at all. It was rubbery and what was with all that onion???

Fia Restaurant in Santa Monica offers a stylish yet relaxed atmosphere, serving cocktails, handmade pastas, and seasonal dishes. The restaurant features an eclectic interior reminiscent of a countryside B&B and a hidden patio with draped lights and potted plants. Executive chef Brendan Collins presents a three-course prix fixe brunch menu with options like Maine Lobster Croque Madame, Black Truffle Cheesy Scramble, and Southern Fried Chicken with biscuits.
I went to Fia at my hotel’s suggestion and it did not disappoint! I tried several dishes (and brought some home!) and all were creative and delicious! My server (and the hostess) was amazing and attentive. The atmosphere is gorgeous with the trees and lights. Very happy I chose this as one of the few places to dine during my short trip to LA!

This is the perfect place for weekend brunch in Santa Monica! It has a small alleyway type entrance out front, but once going through...you emerge into a GORGEOUS courtyard space where most of the seating is located. It was such a relaxing and tranquil vibe for a lovely Saturday brunch!! Another thing about these brunch spots that offer the bottomless drinks - food can often be a hit or miss. Well, I can assure you that it definitely hits at Fia!! Both of the food options we selected off of the entree options for the bottomless brunch were so delicious and beautifully presented! The Shrimp & Grits plate was very generously portioned, had incredible flavor, and a really good heat that wasn't overpowering to the rest of it. The Breakfast Burger with a Wagyu beef patty was also high quality and a great size! We both were left stuffed and very pleased!! I also appreciated the friendly and attentive here - the waiter never kept us waiting for any bottomless drinks or water refills!! He was always coming by to top us off and asking if we wanted any other drinks like margaritas for the bottomless! This is much appreciated when often places seem to make it very hard to get refills for these sorts of brunches! Thank you for the lovely brunch, Fia! We'll certainly return in the future, and I recommend you go at some point as well!

Fia is truly special. I entrusted Fia to coordinate a gender reveal for me and my husband and they absolutely crushed it. I emailed them the results, and they took care of the rest. On arrival they told us they’d reserved a romantic table for us, and upon seating we got alcohol free champagne! The food was amazing as always. The pastry chef came out and said it was her first gender reveal cake and was so excited. The cake came out and it was a mystery on the outside until we sliced in!!!! The waiter offered to film our reaction and was a gem the whole evening. The best part was how it felt like the whole staff was in on it and actually cared! It was beyond sweet and absolutely flawless. A forever memory. Thank you fia!

One of my favorite restaurant in Santa Monica. You walk in off Wilshire thinking you’re about to have a nice dinner, and suddenly — boom — you’re in a secret courtyard under twinkling lights, where everyone looks like they just got back from the Amalfi Coast. Start with a cocktail — they’re crisp, creative, and perfectly tuned to that “it’s Friday, I deserve this” mood - even on a Tuesday. The spicy arrabbiata pasta is a standout: rich, fiery, and unapologetically bold. It hits that sweet spot between comfort food and chef’s finesse — the kind of dish that makes conversation pause mid-sentence. My friends had the ribeye and they ate still digesting it as it was a huge Fia’s vegetarian options aren’t an afterthought — they’re headliners. From roasted cauliflower that actually has personality to their seasonal salads bursting with herbs and citrus, it’s proof you don’t need meat to have a good time here. There’s valet if you’re feeling fancy (and honestly, it’s worth it on weekends), or decent street parking if you’re patient and circle twice. Either way, once you step through the gate, you’ll forget you’re in Santa Monica traffic territory. Pro tip: go early, linger long, and pretend you’re writing your next novel or closing a movie deal. Everyone else here probably is.

Disappointed and Misled on Easter Brunch We made a reservation at Fia in Santa Monica through OpenTable for their advertised Easter Garden Brunch at $67, which was supposed to include pastries, an entrée, and bottomless drinks. However, when we arrived, we were told that this offer was no longer available. The staff mentioned that many others had made the same reservation, but the restaurant “didn’t want to bother” calling to let anyone know ahead of time. Instead, we were forced into a different Easter brunch option priced at $79, which only included pastries and an entrée — no bottomless drinks. To add that back in, it was an extra $24 and only had the option for mimosas no rose or margaritas like the brunch we had reserved for. We went last year for Easter brunch and the restaurant was much busier so it’s hard to understand the limited menu and menu cuts. If we had known this in advance, we absolutely would have canceled and gone elsewhere. There were plenty of amazing brunch options in LA that day, and it felt incredibly frustrating to be misled with no acknowledgment or effort from the restaurant to make it right. We left feeling like we had been scammed, and it’s disappointing that a restaurant with such a reputation would handle a holiday brunch this way. If you’re thinking of dining here, especially for a special occasion, think twice.

Brunch restaurant
HomeState is a popular Tex-Mex eatery with seven locations across Los Angeles, including Hollywood, Highland Park, Culver City, Playa Vista, Pasadena, Atwater Village and Sherman Oaks. The cozy cafes serve up delicious breakfast and lunch options such as tacos, queso, and Texas-inspired dishes. Known for their fluffy scrambled eggs in fresh tortillas with various fillings like slow-cooked brisket or chorizo and cheese.
We stopped by HomeState and had such a good experience. We tried a mix of breakfast tacos — 3 Neches, 1 Brisket, and 1 Frio — plus a Big Queso dip to share and their hibiscus lemonade. The tacos were fresh and flavorful, with the Neches (eggs + beans + cheddar) being simple but really satisfying, and the brisket one standing out as rich and smoky. The queso was creamy, loaded, and big enough for the table — definitely worth ordering. The hibiscus lemonade was refreshing and balanced, not overly sweet. The place itself is a little on the small side inside, but they have outdoor seating which made it really enjoyable to sit, eat, and relax. Overall: generous portions, great flavors, and friendly vibes. Perfect spot if you’re craving Texas-style breakfast tacos in LA.

Overall amazing experience! The breakfast was killer and so fresh. I love the staff here. They’re always friendly. From a branding perspective, they do an awesome job of creating a unique experience and vibe I’ve enjoyed sitting outdoors and indoors, depending on time of day. Prices are fair. Especially because the tacos are bigger than average. If I’m not hangry, I could personally be good with one. I rated it a 4 instead of a five because when I came back tonight for dinner around 6:30, my taco was rather old, cold, and sad. It had started to cool into the shape of the foil it was wrapped in, and didn’t taste very fresh. Yet, I still had a good time because of the staff. I’ll give it another shot. I think this place can and will do better. And even kinda cold, it was better than the one I’d just tried down the street 😂

The only taco that actually hit was the Tijuana Panthers. It had flavor, it had texture, and the queso sauce brought everything together. Without that one, this would have felt like a complete waste of money. I ordered brisket, chicken, the Trinity, and a bunch of salsas. The brisket and chicken were both underwhelming. Nothing stood out. The breakfast taco tasted like it had been sitting out all day. By the time it got to me for dinner, the bacon felt dry and old. The only reason I got through the meal was because they were generous with the salsa and that queso taco pulled more than its weight. I paid close to forty dollars for this, and that was with a promo. Without it, the total would have been closer to fifty. These tacos are tiny. Maybe four or five bites each. When you think about spending eight or nine dollars per taco once delivery and fees are in, it just doesn’t make sense. I wouldn’t come back unless it was just to grab that one taco again. And I wouldn’t bring friends or recommend it to anyone unless they were already nearby and curious.
Jordan J — Google review
Overpriced for tacos with absolutely no seasoning ($7+tax a pop? Sheesh) and for the size of tiny street tacos.... The meat quality itself is good, though. Also the "hot sauce" was just salsa, no spice whatsoever (even for my spice intolerant husband). If you bring your own hot sauce, might be a game changer.

We were in town for the weekend and decided to pop in. So glad we did. I love a simple and well executed menu. Breakfast tacos are non existent in the Bay Area. I appreciated the presumably handmade flour tortillas. The texture and flour (dust on hands) made them feel like mom made them. The fillings were tasty. The salsas were both flavorful. Loved the queso, so yummy. Great coffee. Simple.

Got the basic beef, chicken tacos with a ranchwater. Came out almost immediately and were delicious on freshly made flour tortillas. Highly recommend.

HomeState is amazing! The tacos are out of this world, and the whole place has such a friendly, laid-back vibe. The staff is super nice, and you can really taste the quality in every bite. It’s the perfect spot to chill with friends and enjoy some seriously good food. I had a great breakfast tacos! Definitely a must-visit for taco lovers!

I can't remember the last time I left a review, that's how disappointing this meal was. We ordered HS today and you couldn't possibly make the meal worse. How you mange to burn every single tortilla, is beyond me. Even the quesadilla was a cracker with cheese in the middle. I could use it as a door wedge. I used to love HomeState but as the prices continue to creep upwards, the quality sadly does not match the price points. Even with the original prices, one shouldn't tolerate burnt tortillas and crunchy quesadillas.

Cafe Los Feliz is a charming bakery and coffee shop that serves traditional breakfast and lunch items alongside delectable pastries. The cozy atmosphere, reminiscent of a French cafe, offers both indoor and patio seating. Customers rave about the breakfast burrito, which is lauded for its cheesy infusion and generous portions. The croissants are described as unique with a crunchy texture and savory flavor.
This cafe is consistently good. My favorites are Jon’s Special, Breakfast Croissant, Lemon Berry Waffle, Burrito and BEC Bagel. I always get a hot chai latte and the orange juice is great. I love bringing friends and family here. It’s easy and seamless, you order at the counter, find a seat and it will come to you. Follow my foodie journey on IG @jasmynisabel & TT @sazondiaries ✨

Managed to get their burrito that everyone in the review section was saying it was good after my run up at Griffith Park. And it was very good! Loved the crisp of burrito, the salsa and sauce on the side were both pretty spicy but it spices the meal up. There’s seating inside and out but I think it was a hit spot during 10-11am time zone. Would needa come back to try their massive pastries that I was told was delicious.

Cafe Los Feliz is a charming neighborhood spot with a lively atmosphere and a line out the door that thankfully moves quickly. I had the breakfast burrito (no bacon, sub avocado) which was delicious, especially paired with the chipotle sauce and jalapeño salsa that it comes with. My friend ordered the 3 eggs with basil and tomato, served with a generous block of feta and warm pita which was fresh and flavorful. We also tried the spinach Swiss croissant, which was tasty though the cheese inside was still cold. Service was efficient, food arrived in under 10 minutes despite the crowd, and prices came out to around $20 per person. Overall, great value, friendly service, and a spot I’d definitely return to.

My hiking group and I stopped by and it was worth the visit. I just ordered a hot matcha latte and it was delicious, with a little honey, it was perfect and the right temperature. It was pretty busy for a Saturday so seating may be a bit and parking can be a pain. Definitely still worth the visit. I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items.

We had such a wonderful brunch experience at Cafe Los Feliz! I'm so glad we stopped by, The menu had a fantastic variety of options, and everything we ordered was beautifully presented and tasted great. We shared a few plates, and I highly recommend checking out their different offerings. • The bagel sandwich looked perfect—a big, toasted sesame bagel loaded with what looked like egg, cheese, and bacon, served with a generous side of crispy, seasoned home fries and a little cup of ketchup. A classic done right. • John’s Special was beautiful savory combination of bacon, scrambled eggs (or perhaps sunny-side-up, mostly covered), thick slices of feta-style cheese, and fresh produce including ripe, sliced avocado and vibrant tomatoes, all served with toasted bread. It was a fresh and hearty meal. • Traditional Breakfast was a great mix of sweet and savory: a plate of scrambled eggs with chopped veggies, more of those excellent crispy home fries, a side of sliced avocado, and a beautiful crepe dusted with powdered sugar and served with maple syrup on the side. It was an ideal way to satisfy both cravings. And of course, the coffee was excellent (we got ours to-go, but they looked perfectly made and gave us the energy we needed!). The cafe has a lovely, traditional feel, and the online reviews mentioning the friendly staff and quick service ring true. While the prices might be on the higher side, the portion sizes, quality ingredients, and overall experience make it worth it. Highly recommend Cafe Los Feliz for a great weekend breakfast or brunch!

I cannot think of a better breakfast burrito in Los Angeles. The staff always cheap out so well I have ordered take out delivery and dine and the quality of food was never different… Always amazing. Much appreciation to the staff.

While I was nearby for work and wanted something quick I decided to stop by this cafe. Very friendly workers, atmosphere is very relaxing, easy to spend breakfast and lunch while enjoying the view with the right person. There are patio tables, to breathe fresh air and in case is cold or too hot there are plenty of tables inside. I couldn't resist to order a burrito, I can't remember the name but it was delicios, the green salsa that comes with is amazing. Order came pretty fast despite was pretty busy at that time. I had a latte for my coworker and the aroma triggered my senses of regret for not getting one for myself. If I'm around some other day I won't hesitate and stop by again . Highly recommend the burrito to anyone who feels like having one. Price of burritos vary depending what kind of burrito, but it'll be around 17 bucks, and a cup of coffee I believe is like 5 bucks roughly is around 23 dollars +

Met Her At A Bar is a charming cafe located at the intersection of Eighth and La Brea in the Mid-Wilshire neighborhood of Los Angeles. The cafe, owned by a couple who met at a bar in Los Angeles, offers an easygoing atmosphere and serves up delicious American breakfast and brunch options. Guests can enjoy Belgian waffles, sandwiches, wraps, and excellent coffee in a modern setting. The cafe has become a local favorite since its opening in 2017.
Really great brunch. The fried chicken is really tasty, and the batter is well seasoned. Chicken and waffles, chicken sando, and Thai omlette were all incredible. Solid cortado, too! Great vibes.

It was my birthday and had a taste for waffles. This place was a suggestion. The food was delicious. I had a snaffoo with the eggs, but the manager quickly took care of it for me. Overall, the food was great. The waffles were not hard and crunchy like some other places. They were soft easy to swallow and the steak was seasoned well. My guest liked his chicken ans waffles as well.

We stopped by Met Her at the Bar for brunch right after landing in Los Angeles, and it turned out to be one of the best starts to our trip! The place has such a charming vibe — bright, cozy, and full of great energy. The staff was friendly, engaging, and super welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. We ordered a fully vegetarian spread that included vegan waffles, granola oats, a bean wrap, mocha, and a hazelnut iced latte. Every single item was delicious — the vegan waffles were fluffy and perfectly sweet, the granola oats were fresh and wholesome, and the bean wrap was packed with flavor. Both drinks were excellent, especially the hazelnut iced latte, which was smooth and refreshing. Everything we tried tasted fresh and thoughtfully made, and the presentation was spot-on. It’s one of those brunch spots that feels both trendy and comforting at the same time. If you’re in LA and looking for a great brunch spot near the airport or around West LA, Met Her at the Bar is a must-visit. Must-try: Vegan Waffles & Hazelnut Iced Latte

The line can be long, so it’s a good idea to plan ahead or be prepared to wait for a bit. However, the wait is worth it because the food is incredibly good. This was my first time trying waffle steak, and it was delicious! The servers were attentive and kind, and the atmosphere was a lot of fun. I noticed that many people with great energy flock in this place.

I had a really nice Saturday morning breakfast. I arrived around 8:30 and was seated right away, which made for a relaxed start. I ordered the fried chicken and waffle, and it worked really well together. Good mix of sweet, savory, crunchy, and soft. The coffee came with refills, which was a great touch. Service was friendly and attentive, and I liked the floral, cozy feel of the interior. Overall, it’s an inviting spot that works just as well for visitors as it does for regulars.

Came for my 40th birthday while I was in town last week and had 3 friends who were all didn’t know each other meet me here. Couldn’t make a reservation, despite calling in advance even though I’m in a wheelchair which is the ONLY issue I had with the place. Usually establishments are able to make some exceptions for accessibility, and although I called and spoke to a staff person a couple days before, my party still had to withstand the nearly hour long wait for a Friday table. Im hindsight, should’ve asked for a manager who may have been more understanding.. All that was immediately forgotten once we got seated and experienced the awesomeness that is Met Her at a Bar. I automatically got why it’s such a hot spot. From the friendly wait staff to the light and airy space with amazing playlist on blast (almost a little too loud?), the vibes were on point. But the real star is the food here. We took the server’s suggestion and ordered the chicken and waffle dish and Thai omelette and oh boy, did they both deliver. I can’t remember what sauces they brought out, but I wanted to drink them all. Easily 10/10. We ended up not being rushed out at all which I guess is the point of this place. Wait forever but stay however long you want. I may get it now…

The Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites in downtown Los Angeles is a high-rise conference hotel featuring two restaurants, a revolving cocktail lounge, and a rooftop pool. The landmark hotel is known for its 35-story cylindrical glass towers offering deluxe accommodations with stunning views. The BonaVista Lounge on the 34th floor slowly rotates, providing panoramic views of the city.
Honestly enjoyed this hotel. From the parking garage, there's posters all over showing the different movies this hotel has been featured in. The valet staff were extremely professional and polite. The food at the lobby bar was excellent. We stayed in the blue tower and the room was great. They even rolled a separate bed into the room for our 13 year old son. Cleanliness was great, beds were comfortable, pool was easy to find. All in all, loved the whole experience. We walked down the road to a super cute Crepe Cafe too. Definitely worth the stay.

This place had potential. The location was great. My husband and I check into our room in the middle of the night and were met by friendly and helpful staff. The lobby is huge, ample sitting space, coffee shops, etc. the signage was clear and the elevators were quick. The rooms are not well maintained. They are spacious, dated and there are roaches. The first room had a huge roach, we were moved quickly to another room. The next morning, we found another baby roach in our new room. We swiftly checked out and stayed somewhere else for the duration of our time in LA.

The Westin Bonaventure Hotel was really nice. My spouse and I stayed there for a weekend while in L.A. and I was pleasantly surprised with the sheer number of amenities offered. My personal favorite was the noise machine - I REQUIRE white noise to sleep and I have some on my phone, but it was so nice to have it provided by the hotel. The coffee shops in the lobby were also clutch! Apparently, there's a lot of "Hollywood history" at this hotel which is cool if that's your vibe. I would definitely stay at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel again and I absolutely recommend it if you're in L.A.

The Westin Bonaventure Hotel offers a truly exceptional experience in the heart of Los Angeles. From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff made me feel welcome with their friendly smiles, professionalism, and efficiency. Check-in was seamless, and their helpful recommendations for nearby attractions and dining options added a personal touch that set the tone for my stay. The housekeeping team also deserves special recognition for their attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. My room was spotless each day, refreshed with care, and always perfectly arranged. It’s clear that the staff takes great pride in maintaining high standards throughout the hotel. Between the stunning architecture, comfortable rooms, and outstanding service, the Westin Bonaventure continues to live up to its iconic reputation. I look forward to returning soon.

A little on the pricey side, I suppose, but it's a really nice hotel. Nice room, very comfortable bed, good TV, hot shower and plenty of space. The Restaurant I had breakfast was also very good. My only complaint would be the room was a little too cold when I arrived. Thermostat was set at 65, which is silly. It wasn't THAT cold in the room, but the air conditioning unit was on and working hard. I don't know why so many Hotels insist on doing this. Dumb practice, IMO.
Jeff D — Google review
Was not a fan of this experience but it did have moments of grace; we stayed from 17-20 October 2025 for a family situation. The first night we had the bad luck of a dodgers game and they claimed they had no hotel parking, even for guests. We circled a few times around the block and eventually one of team leaders told us he would take care of us, which was awesome. I was just taken aback that they wouldn't reserve space for guests but this probably an LA normal since i am not from, nor visit this city ever. We booked a king size suite, and wound up with an ADA room near the elevators instead, so that was definitely not good. Apparently the price was the same so they just opted to move us there since they claimed they had "no rooms left" for that suite. They did give her 3k points but I still felt this was really crappy. Other than that, i was not a fan of all the pricing. Was way cheaper to buy the booze rather than pay the bar prices, and I was even more annoyed that this all happened on a weekend that folks were out protesting, so yeah not a fan and this was not a good experience. You guys can keep this hotel and California, don't come to Texas.

Nice restaurant and bar on the waterfront in Venice. Service was very friendly and fast and the team were quick to try and resolve any queries/problems. I ordered the cheeseburger ($20). It came with a form of pickle garnish which wasn't mentioned on the menu, apart from that the beef patty was cooked well and had a good taste and texture. The brioche bun was nice and held the burger together well, and the chips were excellent. Condiments close to hand, drinks also tasted good My friend ordered the BBQ pizza, I am told it was delicious.

We LOVE good music with our brunch vibes!! Our local friends invited us out to try this spot. First impression… PERFECT FOR BRUNCH!! This is a cutesy spot with great natural light, fun staff, and cozy booth seating. It’s also great for capturing content with so many unique minimalist accents. On this day there was a DJ (DJ Yankee Cowboy) and let us overstate how much head bobbing went down all… through… his…set. He was GREAT! The food options were good too. Our table tried a few items like the French toast, the breakfast burrito, breakfast tacos, etc. Drinks were CHEFS KISS too! Things we also noticed and appreciated — they’re kid and pet friendly.

The only reason it’s getting a poor and not a five is because for being on the waterfront I expected there to be a lot more seafood options. That’s what we came for. But we did have the ceviche and it was absolutely fantastic and worth stopping in. Thank you.

Definitely one of the most inventive brunches I've ever had. This felt honestly like it could have been a 1 star Michelin experience, so for that I do not have an issue with the price ($$-$$$). The presentation, taste, and ingredients were ON POINT. We had the avocado toast confit, beef tartare, cauliflower leek soup, and espresso shortcake, all of which were amazing. Cauliflower leek soup was definitely the surprise winner of the meal. I rarely order soups at restaurants, so maybe that was part of it, but it truly was I think the most delicious soup I've ever had, with interesting garnishes like smoked trout roe and a dollop of embered cream. The espresso shortcake was surprisingly good too (I am not typically a big fan of dry crumbly biscuits like shortbread), like a tiramisu cookie!

The matcha croissant is a must try! Visiting LA for a few days and saw a lot of recommendation for this place. Ordered some bakery items and brunch items. The matcha croissant is my absolute favorite, croissant is super crisp and filled with matcha paste in the middle. Also loved the beef tartare, first time finishing the chip before the meat in a tartare dish haha. Also liked the porridge (not pictured) - super flavorful and creative. Didn’t like the French toast that much - a little too sweet. Seating can be limited especially when there’s good weather. On the pricier side ~$60pp post tax and tip

One of the more unique spots to grab some lunch! I've never been disappointed by the food, it's always amazing and so inventive. My favorite I've ever had is probably the schnitzel but this time around I had the BLT (pictured) and was not disappointed, it was super cool the way it was plated. The only thing I was a bit disappointed by this time around - I've seen people refer to it as a brunch spot and since they have a long list of coffee and a waffle item on the menu, it's definitely brunch - however they don't really offer any more traditional savory breakfast items/egg dishes. You can add an egg to anything they have but there's nothing on the menu with it already included. It took me a long time to decide because I was hoping to get something with eggs. I would love to see them put a hash on the menu, they certainly could do something cool!

High quality ingredients, interesting mixes of flavors with a Balkan twist. Also, large portions, several of us ended up taking home enough for a second meal. Ordered the Montenegro, substituting prosciutto for bacon, delicious! Also ordered the prosciutto sandwich adding sauteed onions, again excellent. Nice presentation, interesting flavor combos even without the customizations. Heartily recommend this place for brunch & lunch.

Stellar food and service here. We found this place online and I'm so glad we tried it out! The fresh baked bread used for the French toast was thick cut and fluffy. The presentation was beautiful and the presentation was top notch. All of our meals were incredible and you can tell they take pride in their food. The coffee was exceptional as well which was a great addition to the experience. We will be back soon to try other options.

I went there for the buttermilk pancakes and it’s was very delicious and filling. The servers were on top of their job and made sure I was well served. The place is next to a hotel so guest can just walk to it. Seating is indoor or outdoor. Pretty decent crowd, but not too crowded.

Had a wonderful breakfast here. Hubby declared his the best ham and cheese omelette he’d ever had. Love that you can get steel cut oats, very rare. The fruit bowl was huge and fresh; blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, papaya and melons. Everything was perfect!

I had a fantastic time at Metro Café! The interior is beautifully designed and has a very calm, relaxing atmosphere. The menu has a great variety of coffees, teas, and snacks to choose from. I ordered an iced mocha and a grilled panini — both were absolutely delicious. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the presentation was on point. The staff were kind and efficient, making sure I had everything I needed. The café is clean, comfortable, and perfect for hanging out with friends or even working on a laptop. Prices are affordable, and the food quality is excellent. A five-star experience all the way!

Nestled in the historic Hull Building of Culver City, AKASHA is a vibrant eatery that beautifully marries rustic charm with modern flair. Under the expert guidance of Chef Akasha Richmond, this beloved spot serves up New American farm-to-table cuisine infused with global influences and fresh California ingredients.
One of our favorite places to eat out in Culver. The menu is extensive and everything is really good. I’m a big fan of the beet / arugula salad and any of their pastas. They also have specials frequently and offer wine tastings! It can get busy and cause the service to be a bit slow, but we have never been let down on the food.
Audrey W — Google review
Food is so mid - I’m guessing people are mostly coming here for the drinks, which were good! But I was excited to try the apricot special menu they have right now and the chicken was so dry and bland, and just came an apricot covered in liquid sugar on the side? And the cornbread was so incredibly dry and not flavorful. Now the apricot drink was 10/10 so, again, perfect if you just want a place to drink. My bf got an old fashioned and it was also great, but his food was also disappointing - the Strozzapreti. He said it tasted a little too sweet or like the flavor was unbalanced, and also just needed more flavor.

Great food, and service! Happy they had more Vegan accommodating options then their menu appeared. Server was helpful sorting out a veganized version of the breakfast burrito. Delicious 🤌

Delicious food. Nice selection of vegetarian food. There's a reason this place has been around for decades while many restaurants around it change every few years . The Carra Carra salad was SO good. The orchietta pea pesto was amazing. Just perfect.
Cigal S — Google review
Had lunch with a friend here today. The hostess was cold and kind of pretentious. She asked me to wait at the bar when I arrived. When I asked her if our table was ready, as others were being seated, she pretended she'd never spoken to me and made us follow her back to the hostess stand instead of apologizing and just showing us to a table. Luckily our server and the food runners were great and made up for her bad attitude. They took really good care of us. However, my salad was filled with too much brown and water logged lettuce that shouldn't have made it onto a plate. It seemed that they tried to cover up the lack of freshness with extra dressing and cheese. I've eaten here many times before but only at dinner and those experiences were better.

Akasha in Culver City has great food with fresh, quality ingredients and a cozy atmosphere. The service was friendly but a bit slow. Loved the seasonal dishes and cocktails! Taking off one star because of the wait time, but overall, a great dining experience.

Akasha is easily one of my favorite spots in Culver City. The vibe is modern, warm, and welcoming perfect for everything from brunch with friends to a date night. The food is consistently fresh, creative, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality of the local and organic ingredients. I highly recommend the brunch—especially the shakshuka and the tiramisu French toast. Their happy hour is also fantastic, with delicious small plates, cocktails, and a great wine selection. The staff is always friendly, professional, and attentive without being overbearing. They even have a great bakery and café up front if you’re just grabbing coffee and a pastry. And parking is a breeze with one hour free parking nearby, which is rare in LA! Whether you’re looking for a cozy dinner, a lively brunch, or just a solid all-around restaurant, Akasha nails it every time. A true gem in the heart of Culver City.
Derek E — Google review
This spot is a true gem in Culver City and one of my absolute favorites for brunch, happy hour, or dinner with friends. They’re famous for their gluten-free options—seriously, the gluten-free onion rings are out of this world and even better than the regular kind. One thing you must try is their amazing signature drink, the Akasha—so refreshing and delicious! Another bonus? They make incredible frozen dishes you can take home. It’s a total lifesaver on busy nights when you don’t have time to cook. Instead of grabbing a bland microwave meal from the grocery store, I just heat up one of their pre-made dishes and it tastes like I’m dining out, right at home. Between the welcoming staff, the diverse menu, and the beautiful landmark building, this place really has it all. Highly recommend!

Located in West Hollywood, The Hudson offers a relaxed atmosphere with a patio and dining room featuring a unique tree growing through it. This gastropub, led by renowned chef Timothy Hollingsworth, serves up American comfort food such as short rib tacos and cast-iron johnny cakes. The spacious bar is adorned with industrial-craft stools and upholstered banquettes, making it an ideal spot for happy hour or a first date.
One of the best happy hours in Los Angeles/West Hollywood. Really nice staff, the best Mac and cheese I have ever had and great drinks. Make your way here whenever you get a chance. Go on a first date here. Just get here!

The food was ok .. but we seriously waited like 45 mn to receive or food, plus I asked for french fries and I got potatoes instead. Sad experience therefore the food was consistant.

Amazing food, drinks, and atmosphere! Most food items are about $12 and a delicious mimosa is $4 or Bottomless is $16. Great for brunch with your friends!

We’ve been to The Hudson many times. It appears as though they recently changed the food menu which stands to reason there is a new chef. The previous menu/chef offered amazing comfort food reminiscent of southern style cooking. I’m sad to say, this current food is simply bad. We ordered three dishes all of which were no different than average bar food but was prepared to look like it was gourmet cuisine. To top it off, everyone in our party got food poisoning. I will say that the service is impeccable and environment very inviting. Great place for Mimosa’s. Just don’t order food. So sad because it was once the mecca for brunch food.

Nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of Silver Lake, All Day Baby is a delightful eatery that has quickly become a beloved spot since its opening in late 2019. This charming restaurant offers an inventive twist on comfort food, serving up unique sandwiches and classic dishes throughout the day.
When I think of classic American diner for the next generation, All Day Baby takes the throne. Servers were welcoming and attentive. The virgin michelada hit just right after a night out. For main we had the tomato sandwich and big chicken biscuit. The tomato sandwich with thick cut bacon took me back to childhood when my grandmother with harvest her best tomatoes BLTs. The acidity of my the tomatoes and herbaceous mayo balanced perfectly with the bacon centered between white bread as it should taste. The chicken was crispy and super moist between the buttery airy biscuit. Recommend adding the bread and butter pickles to the sandwich for a southern classic. Portions were generous and a slice of their pie will have to come on the next visit.

First time here. Food was fine, not the greatest, but not the worst Good size portions. On the day we went, it was the weekend, and they were supposed to have bakery items on weekends and almost everything was not available. There is a wait to be seated. Dog friendly as there are outdoor sitting, plenty of street parking, and the staff were attentive. It is a small place so when packed it's loud. I took marks off for two reasons: they charge a service fee of 3% to pay their cooks - written very small at the very end of the page. Without the cooks the place will not run. So not sure why the cooks are not getting paid enough that customers have to supplement their wages. The other reason was we never got a paper receipt, so wasn't sure what was billed. We ordered a salad $16, one burrito $17, fries (not idea, but lets say it's $10) , and a coffee $6, with tax and the 3% fee it was $67), I did my own calculation and it was $55.50 inclusive. Not sure where the other $12 they charged came from. Maybe they didn't remove the cookie we ordered and it was not available.

Breakfast, lunch spot in Silver Lake. A little bougie for me but if you’re in the area a nice place to grab a drink and something off the Happy Hour menu. Happy Hour 2pm-5pm good food selection and drink selections. The service was excellent food was average. Since I was in the area we stopped by to try it.
Mercie L — Google review
I give this place five stars mainly because it’s unique. The flavors really weren’t to my liking (nor my family), but the food was good quality and I can see how some might like the food. We had the boozy milkshakes and the breakfast sandwich with sausage. It’s definitely expensive and there is a wait usually, so keep that in mind. Parking is also difficult.
Ben P — Google review
Good? Yes. Lifechanging? No. I think this is a solid brunch place for a cute atmosphere/vibe, but I wouldn’t go back just for the food. The price point is honesty the deal breaker for me. The fries were yummy but I thought about how in-and out has the same thing for $10 cheaper😫. I don’t see myself coming back but that doesn’t mean I didn’t think the food wasn’t good! Realistically it is possible to find restaurants with a balance of price-range and uniqueness of dishes that makes it worth it!
Sofi — Google review
Surprised by how tasty the breakfast sandwich was! The bread was so soft, and the sausage full of flavor. They put a little jam on the top bun.. usually I don’t like things over jammed but it was just the right amount to not make it too sweet. It paired. The hashbrown was was crispy but not greasy.. a must to include in the sandwich. The Belgium waffle was good but there was a smoke/mesquite flavor that hits first, and wasn’t into it. Might be better for another persons palette.
Jen S — Google review
Fun, kitschy restaurant with diner style breakfasts and lunches. The biscuits are homemade and the sausage too, making for an amazing breakfast sandwich. Their healthy portions are served along with loud 50, 60’s music and the wait can be long on the weekends, but it’s worth it. I’ll definitely return to try the rest of the menu.
Yevette B — Google review
We're so glad we tried this restaurant today (3-12-22) for curbside pick-up. The food was so delicious and worth every penny. The boozy shakes were also very tasty. If you're in the neighborhood, stop by, and give it a try. We think you'll like it a lot!

Modern French restaurant
Brunch restaurant
Modern European restaurant
Little Next Door is a lively brasserie located on 3rd and Crescent Heights, offering a relaxed atmosphere and delicious French cuisine. Despite its name, the restaurant exudes a traditional charm with worn-down furniture and a welcoming ambiance. The menu features casual French fare, including beef burgundy, golden beet and goat cheese salad, tuna tartar, escargots, bouttabaue, steak fritters, mussels, and dreamy souffle.
I was charmed by the French lady and guys that serve here. The place was just like a real little nice bustling Cafe in Europe. I loved the fresh baguette and mopped up all the hollandaise on my bernedict. Also recommend the mussels and try the dreamy soufflé :D
Jiahui Z — Google review
The name of this place is an oxymoron. It's not little. It has no door. This place is not next, but this is before. In other words, it's traditional. Wine, food, service, environment are all very traditional, as it was in the olden days. The charm of this place is that the tables and chairs are worn down, used. Nothing looks sterile or modern. Regarding food, I've had better pasta elsewhere. The beef burgundy was alright. The salad was fine and fresh. The salmon was cooked a little longer than what I would normally prefer. The best was souffle, not too sweet and not overbaked. The crust was just crunchy enough. The rest was fluffy and chewy. It takes at least 20 minutes, so order with the rest of yhe food. The hot mint tea was okay, but the portion was tiny, as it came in a shot glass. The servers were serious, but the bus people were the stars! They paid attention, and they cleaned well.

Waiter was from France and super nice!! The food was delicious too and we sat outside. We ordered the golden beet and goat cheese salad, the tuna tartar, and escargots to start and then the bouttabaue, and steak fritters. Steak was incredible (highly recommend that dish). We also got desert and two bottles of wine :) yum yum

Lovely, romantic restaurant for a date night! I came here with my boyfriend for our second anniversary, and for the most part, it didn't disappoint! Both the inside and outside seating look very nice, with slightly different vibes and appeals to each. The inside was a bit loud, so we sat in the outdoor seating area, which was kept nice and warm with space heaters, had lovely soft lighting, and made for a comfortable and romantic evening. The waiters are polite and attentive but not overly so, which is fine with me. My mocha was pretty small, but tasted delicious. I also LOVED the cheese plate and the oven-baked chicken! Decent portion sizes and quite reasonable prices! Only minor dislike was with my fettuccine pasta, which was good, but was lacking a bit in the creaminess, I felt. All in all, however, a lovely, delicious meal! Little Next Door, I look forward to returning to you for romantic date nights! I love the vibe, especially in the outdoor seating areas, and the lovely, reasonable priced foods that actually have decent portion sizes! Thank you for a wonderful anniversary dinner!

What an adorable place! It is a sister place to Next Door, however the price point is much lower. The place is charming, cozy. The food is high quality. I was very delighted with the service as well. We had a small dinner out to celebrate my friend’s birthday and they took care of us and made it a very pleasant evening. ⭐️ good quality food ⭐️ charming decor ⭐️ big wine list ⭐️ attentive service ⭐️ reasonable prices ⭐️ central location ⭐️ perfect for dates and celebrations 🕑 2 months later: Me and my friend were back to this restaurant again, as we both were so impressed with it the first time! And again, we had perfect wine and dinner. They were busy, but the customer service was superb.

Odys + Penelope is a stylish American restaurant that offers great food and drinks at attractive prices. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the decor is cool and modern. The burgers here are substantial, while other dishes are smaller but still satisfying. Happy hour specials include good wines, so visitors can enjoy a good time without breaking the bank.
Fantastic food and overall experience. The vibe was contemporary without being pretentious. The centerpiece of the space is the large wood grill and open kitchen. Portions were medium sized. Definitely worth getting the cheese puffs as a starter. There was a nice bit of wood grilled smokiness in most of the dishes without being overbearing.
Josh C — Google review
Food and drinks were actually very delicious and the decor/ambiance was cozy and welcoming. Dishes were vibrant and offered unique taste combinations. Cocktails were refreshing! We did run into a bit of an awkward situation, which I think should be mentioned. One of the guests in my party came from an athletic event and was particularly hungry. Our orders took a bit longer than usual to come out, which is not out of the ordinary with a popular restaurant during the dinner rush. Thus we asked how much longer it would take for entrees, the server responded that "it's being plated now, it'll be right out"... The food did not arrive for another 20-25 minutes after this. We didn't expect them to magically make food if it wasn't ready, but we did expect honesty from the staff. Given this information, my friend waited instead of sharing my food which I offered. If we would've known that the wait would be almost another half hour for his food to arrive, we would've shared even more. It was really this misinformation that increasingly aggravated the hunger with my friend and turned it to terrible experience for him. When the food did finally arrive, it was delicious. After which, our party of 3 was automatically charged a 20% gratuity charge. Not sure if this is standard practice, but we were definitely not a big party. Our party of 3 work in very service oriented professions, and this was very disappointing to have experienced this at a location in which we actually really enjoyed the food. A simple HONEST answer regarding the timing of the food (even if it was a longer wait) would have given us realistic expectations, instead we received misinformation and a further slap on the bill... 5 stars for food, but the service was really unforgettable...

It's a nice restaurant. We came for the happy hour and the food was good. The hamburger had a decent portion size, the other dishes were a bit small. The drinks and especially the wines that were part of the happy hour were great. The decor is really cool. Also we need to mention that the staff, especially the bartenders are really authentically friendly and nice people.
Matthias F — Google review
It's a great place to have some drinks and enjoy their happy hour! I recommend to go early, otherwise you'll have to wait to get a table if you don't have a reservation, but you can also seat at the bar. The staff is really nice, the food is ok and their desserts are the best!
Diana T — Google review
Really nice environment. Service was really good, the waiter also reccomended me some really good plates. I had the grilled Monterey squid to start. The plate itself was really good and tasty but i was disappointed by the quantity. Just four little squids for 15$. To follow i had the ribs on reccomendation of the waiter. I can't complaint those were amazing, highly reccomended for anyone who visits, the sauce was incredible. For 22$ though they could include a little side dish. I had to order that apart for 11$ (Brussels sprout fried rice). To conclude i had the chocolate rye pie. It came with chocolate mousse and mint icecream it was delicious.  I also had a glass of red cabernet from California. A little overpriced as a restaurant, probably because the neighbourhood is a little upscale, but totally worth it. I don't understand though why there are just two $$ on Google and not $$$, i think they should fix it. Anything else was really good, thank you for the experience in La Brea.  Might have to come back to try the fish next 😉

Great service location and food! The chicken rice dish for brunch was fantastic! The doughnut holes, think beignets, were incredible. Try the pancakes over the waffles but the waffles are still pretty good. Fresh fruit too! We had dinner here before and may have enjoyed that more but would come back for brunch again too!

Rustic yet refined. Creative fine dining. Portions on the small side. The food was thoughtfully prepared. The service was bit rushed. The wine was another highlight!

Beautiful restaurant in an old warehouse. It’s a large, bright and airy restaurant. They have a great menu and some really nice cocktails. The food was delicious and perfect for a hungover brunch. The service was good though a little on the slow side. Defiantly would recommend checking it out. Try the pancakes.
