Carson's Food & Drink - On Main is a vibrant speakeasy-style venue nestled in Lexington, where the charm of Kentucky meets modern culinary creativity. This unique spot features an inviting outdoor seating area and multiple TVs, making it perfect for both casual dining and lively gatherings. The menu offers a delightful twist on classic pub fare, showcasing local ingredients that celebrate the rich heritage of the Bluegrass State.
Carson's was the first restaurant I went to in Lexington, and it did not disappoint! Every time my parents come into town we always come back here because it was just so good. I will say you definitely need to make a reservation beforehand because it is always packed, but for good reason. This does make the atmosphere quite lively which I don’t mind at all! I also love the chandeliers hanging down. Right as I walked in it totally felt like Kentucky to me. The service has been more than exceptional every time. All of my servers have been so friendly, I have had great conversations with them, and they genuinely care about making sure I have the best dining experience possible. They’ve also given me many fantastic food recommendations, every single dish I’ve tried has been absolutely heavenly. The appetizers? Amazing. The entrees? Amazing. The desserts? Amazing. I just cannot get enough!

The parking lot is a nightmare. However, we were seated and greeted promptly. Our waitress was training and she did a great job! Very friendly and knowledgeable of the menus. The decor/theme was a tad inconsistent but warm and attractive. We ordered our appetizer and meal at once and staff did a great job timing its prep and arrival. While the food had a savory, fresh taste; we had slight displeasure with some textures in the appetizer. Our meals were served fresh but I was missing the sauce you'd normally get in a chicken parm sandwich. I will say the smoked Gouda Mac and cheese was probably one of the best Mac's l've ever had! We're happy to finally check this off of our list. According to Yelp, the price point for this restaurant is $$. We would disagree as it's kinda pricey. Overall we had a great experience with one exception: the water is served without ice! I only drink water and water without ice just makes me more thirsty.

Came here on a 6 week trip around the country last year, and not only did it stand out even amoung the fine dining restuarants I visited, but I still tell stories about how amazing the food was. I had to return a second time in my short stay because it was that good. On both visits I met locals and tourists alike, showing how proud the locals are of this establishment that they seemingly recommend it to every tourist that stops in the area. The ribs were absolutely superb, and the teriyaki steak was a nice twist for an American restuarant and cooked to perfection. As someone that doesn't eat such things often, the grilled brie platter was a pleasant surprise. It was well balanced, and if it was for more than just me, an excellent start to the meal. The plating was immaculate as well. I will be returning to Lexington soon just to visit Carsons again! The chefs there understand that dining is with all senses, and the staff is truly welcoming.

The space itself is very beautiful, the food and cocktails were amazing. Service impeccable. Sat at the bar for lunch on a busy day and was surprised that it wasn’t too loud, music and atmosphere were very pleasant. Wish i could remember the bartenders name, he did a great job. Also love that they offer gluten free bread! Saved my marriage!
Andrew M — Google review
We celebrated a birthday here and it was very nice! We were seated next to the open windows and had a lovely breeze. The only downside was towards the end of the meal the flies were bad. It wasn’t too loud where we sat and we could talk easily. Food was excellent! In addition to main entrees we enjoyed the baked Brie, pretzels, goat cheese and the teriyaki green beans were a favored side dish.
Barbara S — Google review
We came here for dinner after Keeneland and it is a beautiful bourbon bar. The food was delicious. My husband and I split a burger and fries. The food was freshly made and everyone’s dish looked good. It was very busy and it did take a longer than normal time to get our food and drinks but I would definitely go back.
Betsy M — Google review
I don’t think I have had a better meal anywhere! If you are wanting a delicious dinner and memorable night out, go here! Let me say first that we dined at the Andover location. It was a beautiful setting. Make reservations, because this restaurant stays busy for good reason. We visited Carsons while on a 7 day trip to experience Kentucky. The grilled brie appetizer was excellent with the bourbon pear chutney, candied pecans, and truffle butter. My husband and I split the twin filet medallions with scallops on smoked gouda Weisenberger grits and asparagus, topped with truffle butter, crab, lobster, and shrimp; finished with a white wine béarnaise. Delectable! For dessert, we had the derby pie À la mode. We couldn’t finish it. We were stuffed!

I have not one single bad thing to say about this place. The vibes were immaculate, our server Clayton was absolutely the most angelic human and did such an amazing job. He gave the best recommendations on the food, and they did not disappoint one bit. 5 stars all around and will be coming back for sure!

Using fresh and locally sourced ingredients, the restaurant takes pride in its menu offerings such as pancakes, waffles, omelets, eggs benedict, sandwiches, salads, and quirky favorites like grouper fingers.
Enjoyed the grilled blue cheese salad. Wonderful the onion rings were perfect! My husband had a hamburger. He said cooked to perfection. Definitely on our Lexington lunch list.

Great food. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was that biscuit gravy; it seemed a little off from what I was used to. Great homey place. Everybody knows everybody in here, unlike anything I've ever seen. Very pricey though; one standard breakfast plate with eggs, potatoes, bacon, biscuit, gravy, was $19 with tax not including tip.
Roger S — Google review
We had a large group for breakfast, this place gets everything right. The food, service and atmosphere were all fantastic. Best breakfast potatoes and bacon I have ever had. Biscuits and gravy were excellent. Everyone was impressed with their food, our waitress was fun, fast and very attentive. Always support locally owned businesses like this one! Prices were on the higher end of a typical breakfast but you get what you pay for. This isn’t Waffle House.

First time here and definitely not the last. We relocated here from Georgia and we're trying to see what Lexington Ky has for us. But my BLT&E was perfect for me and my husband was full as well.
Lakeisha C — Google review
Josie’s is a really great local establishment. It’s very busy so plan to wait 20 to 40 minutes for a table. It’s probably a little slower when there’s not a University of Kentucky football game going on. The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is really good. Table service was a little slow, but other than that it was great. We had the Meathead omelette. It was very good.
Chris L — Google review
Good food and service. Loved the potatoes and sausage gravy. Good coffee
Steve E — Google review
I haven't had a breakfast that good in quite some time! The cheese grits are amazing. The strawberry waffles are delicious. The coleslaw is more flavorful than any coleslaw I've ever tasted. The sausage biscuit gravy was also really good. Even the coffee was above average. Waitresses and servers were great too. Definitely you should eat here if you're in Lexington.
Eric B — Google review
Stopped in for a quick breakfast this morning while walking the dogs. Their little side seating area was perfectly shaded and they had a nice cold bowl of water for the pups too!! I got a cup of coffee and the eggs Benedict Florentine style. Honestly, possibly better than the classics style!! The spinach and roasted red peppers were 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽 10/10 recommend. Only complaint is that it was $17.50 for the food, but I guess that’s inflation for you 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Breakfast restaurant
Doodles Breakfast & Lunch is a popular spot located near 21c, offering a mix of American and Southern breakfast classics made with organic and locally sourced ingredients. The menu features regional favorites like bacon beignets and Kentucky Hot Brown quesadilla, as well as healthy options. The restaurant is conveniently situated close to boutiques and art galleries, making it an ideal stop for breakfast or lunch.
We cannot express enough how wonderful and excellent our first visit to this Lexington mom and pops iconic restaurant was! The atmosphere was buzzing, lots of folks coming in and going out, the staff friendly, efficient and seemingly truly enjoying their jobs. We sat outside and it was delightful! Our food came out very quickly, it was presented perfectly, huge ample portions and the taste was superior, hot and fresh. This was extremely quality food. Our server was proficient, quick , energetic and very amicable. We couldn't be more pleased with this wonderful eatery and it has become for us a definite return place for us to eat. What a wonderful experience, well DONE, ‼️ The only very minor suggestion is we felt the indoor music was way too loud which was a bit too excessive for a breakfast/lunch crowd.
Jay D — Google review
Great little place! Old gas station turned into cute little restaurant! Order at the counter, take a number and sit down to be served. Plenty of parking! Great menu and all food was cooked to order, came out quick, fresh & hot! Very clean and cool atmosphere. In our group, We had shrimp & grits with biscuit, sausage gravy & biscuits, BLT, pancakes & omelets. All of the food was delicious! The biscuit was buttered and grilled on the flat top, it was delicious! Staff was friendly & second was great! Plenty of parking in private lot and street parking! Bathroom is outside (it’s an old gas station), but very nice & clean!
June M — Google review
I enjoy the huevos and beignets here- both are tasty! Shrimp and Grits are great and the Cure is a popular order in my family. The food is affordable and consistently good with nice portions, and I don't typically eat breakfast out. They have fun seasonal and holiday drinks and plates to try. Parking can be tricky due to the small lot, and if it's full, expect a wait. The service is usually wonderful, but the space is small and I'm not a fan of table sharing with strangers. I'm happy to wait with my crew for a table, but I've noticed on busy days some guests will say they are happy to share and then snag a table meant for those waiting. I understand this is hard to enforce and comes down to manners. Overall, this is a great local breakfast and brunch spot!
Meagan — Google review
We had carry out on Sunday cause on Saturday the place was soooo packed we figured we better just order and pick up. The omelet was small but the taste was huge. The shrimp and grits well just say I'll be driving back down to Lexington to sit in and enjoy.
Jason D — Google review
The service was a little slower when we visited, but we understood that they were training people that morning. You order at the counter and get a number to take to your seat. We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. So glad that we visited based off a recommendation from locals!
Heather W — Google review
I know this is a lex staple. Although I'm gluten-free, I'm not someone who goes places expecting that's always available on the menu. No one could answer questions for me about that so I settled on the hash. It took over 25 mins to get during a relatively non busy time. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed, but would try again if they get more options- the pancakes looked great!
Kana B — Google review
People who say this place serves tasty beigneits have obviously never had real beigneits. There's are heavy and a little lacking in flavor. Service is low class as you have to get your own drinks. Prices are outrageous for low quality food. My wife and I tried the biscuits and sausage gravy, the biscuits were decent but your lucky to get a table spoon of sausage gravy on each half of biscuit. Also had a side of sausage patties which were dry. Along with the eggs that came with the dish. $40 dollars for that breakfast your better off going to McDonald's. The other issue is as you walk in you order pay and are expected to tip? Now this is a first for my wife and I as well as the first and last time we will visit this establishment. I can only guess they have No clue about Southern food but Not a Dam CLUE ABOUT SOUTHERN FOOD. I WOULD RECOMMEND STAYING AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND SEEKING OTHER BETTER PLACES OR MAKING IT YOURSELF.
G L — Google review
I used to eat here in grad school and things definitely changed. Came in midday on a weekday so maybe that has something to do with it….omelette was just okay. Biscuits did not look or taste like a biscuit. Little to no instructions - ex: didn’t say where to get our drinks and had to ask, didn’t give us silverware and had to ask, assumed we had to bus our table based all that but no signs…very bizarre - the machine asks to leave a tip up front and now I don’t know what for. People were nice enough though and they have a good size patio and parking, which is why I gave an extra star for the atmosphere. Unfortunately I won’t be going back here, but leaving a review for others.

Lockbox is a trendy and modern bar/restaurant known for its elevated Southern cuisine, such as smoked grits and local carp. Located in the historic 21c Museum Hotel, Lockbox stands out with its contemporary gourmet take on Southern dishes, emphasizing locally sourced ingredients from family farms and artisan producers. The restaurant's chic design complements its innovative culinary techniques, offering a menu that showcases Kentucky's seasonal produce and artisanal products.
I went on a Tuesday and they had brunch!! They do brunch during the week and it was great. The banana bread sharable was amazing and my friend got the frittata. I loved the poutine fries with brisket! Amazing cocktails to go with it. I was pleasantly surprised with the menu.
Karlene W — Google review
We had breakfast/brunch here on Saturday and it was outstanding. The biscuits and breakfast sandwiches are amazing. We also tried the yogurt and granola bowl with fruit and that was excellent as well. Their bacon is smoky, salty and perfect!! We will definitely be back when we're in town again. We also loved their drinks and service was kind and welcoming. Highly recommend!
Linda F — Google review
Located in the 21C hotel the Lockbox is Unique. The Baked feta appetizer was hands down the best part of the meal, even being the appetizer. The Bibb lettuce-apricot salad was very tasty, more for one person, not two. Easy yes for another to taste but not share. The lemon noodle main course, Herbed Tagliatelle and cornmeal dusted trout were not meals either of us would recommend. My husband was looking forward to the trout and was disappointed. I like lemon dishes and this was just not tasty. The pictures in the dining room are of Cabaret girls with their faces covered, wild animals being pet by children, and a man with both hands possibly cut off, wringing blood.. Art.. is in the eye of the beholder.. and conversation pieces… however we agreed strange pieces in a dining area. Connected was the 21C museum and we walked through it after dinner expecting to see quite a lot of pieces in the main exhibition hall. There was one. There were several scattered about on different floors but if you are expecting to see many pieces… you won’t.
Jason V — Google review
Spectacular ambiance. Set in a high-ceiling room in what seems to have been a space designed and used by an old style bank, the eclectic artistic decor is well twinned with the delectable offerings. We ordered the lockbox share board, and that country classic, biscuits with gravy. The board came with pimento cheese and deviled egg spreads, country ham, house pickles, crackers and biscuits. We shared it all and savored every bite with some well-brewed fresh coffee. Very attentive staff. A pricey indulgence for breakfast, but certainly well worthwhile. Enjoy!
Howard D — Google review
Server was kind person. Unfortunately, I’ve worked in the service industry for 6 years and when kitchen says hands you don’t let food sit(especially without a heat lamp) for twenty minutes to the point where you have to replate it before serving(open concept kitchen is beautiful but gets you with things like this). I believe this delay was caused by the drinks being late because I only received my food after my drink and after the other table received their food and drinks. I would have appreciated at least an apology for the late drink or late food. Great plating job by the kitchen tho and the drink tasted good.
Liana B — Google review
Everything, I mean EVERYTHING was 🤌🏿. All the selections the Lady hostess recommended were ON POINT. The Pamento Mac and cheese (I know it sounds crazy) was the most surprising and hardest to stop eating. The Oysters appetizers lasted all but 10 secs at the table after trying the 1st one, lol. Burgers and fries are hard to compare with others, but I will say theirs is Top Tier. Our server Adam was very welcoming and provided his own recommendations for their signature meals (Fettuccine with added Chicken). We came back the next night for Great drinks and enjoyed the evening ambiance. We had their banana Mule "my new favorite drink" and a Last word. It is walking distance within downtown to try other restaurants, sight see, and shop. Worth everything cent spent. This is a hidden Gem in Kentucky and worth a trip of your in the area. We will visit again. Also the restrooms are one the you have to see for yourself, lol.
JerMichael H — Google review
Good was exquisite. The cocktail menu had too many amazing drinks to choose from. We decided to share our food amongst the table, and I would highly recommend doing this to ensure that we try all the delicious offerings. We loved our slow-paced dinner and plan to visit again soon.
Emily E — Google review
For an “upscale” restaurant, Lockbox was full of surprises - mostly the kind that make you double-check your purse for your EpiPen. One of our guests has a severe tree nut allergy, which we made crystal clear. Our waitress promptly brought out the nut-friendly menu. Great start, right? You’d think we were in good hands. Wrong. We ordered dirty martinis (the waitress seemed unfamiliar with this two ingredient drink) and the feta appetizer without almonds. Thirty minutes later, the appetizer arrived… topped with, you guessed it, almonds. Bold move for a dish that could’ve come with a complimentary ambulance ride. Meanwhile, our martinis were still MIA. After forty minutes (and a half-dozen “the bar’s just backed up” apologies) the waitress sprinted over to ask what our drink order was again. That was our cue to tap out. They did comp the potentially fatal appetizer, which was considerate. Two stars for that, and for providing one of the more memorable dining experiences we’ve almost survived.

Everyone was super friendly and helpful! You order at the counter in the front and take a number to your seat inside or out and they bring the food to you! The food was very tasty and we enjoyed a chocolate cinnamon bun too.

Nice place. The burgers were pretty good & the bread pudding had just the right amount of coffee flavor where it wasn’t overpowering. I wish it had a bit more cinnamon flavor though. I’d definitely come back to try more things

My first visit to this spot was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food came out fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. I went with the breakfast burrito, and it was a solid choice. The steak was a standout—tender, perfectly cooked, and seasoned just right. While the cilantro-chickpea tortilla wasn't my favorite it was still well-made and didn't detract from the overall quality of the dish. The biscuit and gravy was also excellent, a classic done right. All in all, it was a great meal, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit—and checking out their East End location.

Excellent breakfast sandwiches! They were huge with two sausage patties and tasted hot fresh and homemade. Staff was friendly and thoughtful guiding us through ordering the first time and offering to take our dishes afterwards. Local restaurant atmosphere with art.

Amazing Monte Cristo sandwich, the eggs Benedict weren't to bad but need a little help. Great tatter tots, great biscuits I really think anybody who goes here will enjoy it. I look forward to my next visit to hit more menu items. The staff is fantastic and very accommodating

We wanted a new place for brunch and we ended up here. The place is nice with a cozy atmosphere. The staff were also friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. I tried the basil chicken. While the sandwich was good, the portion was relatively small. It might not be fulfilling if someone is really hungry. I did have a cinnamon roll after it which made the meal fulfilling. I recommend the peacon roll over the milk chocolate one, but both are tasty! Will definitely be back for the rolls! Very tasty.

Dudley's On Short is a refined restaurant located in the historic Northern Bank Building, offering inspired American cuisine and an extensive wine selection. The rooftop garden, designed by local expert Jon Carloftis, provides a serene escape with lush greenery and picturesque views of downtown Lexington. The menu features locally sourced ingredients in dishes like the Kentucky Hot Brown and Pasta Dudley. Additionally, Southern favorites such as Deviled Eggs are elevated with unique twists like smoked KY trout eggs.
A large group of us came here on a weeknight for a business dinner. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the architecture has been beautiful restored. Their menu was filled with amazing southern-inspired dishes, it was hard to decide what to get. They have a nice cocktail and wine list too. The dishes I ended up with were both from their nightly specials, one being split pea soup. I love a good split pea soup, it’s just hard to find and their was spot-on what I desire! Especially on a cold, windy evening! The entrée I chose was a barramundi done Cajun style and it was also prepared quite nicely and flavorful, though I did have to spike it up with a little Tabasco sauce. Save room for dessert – they offer some amazing options, such as their daily cake, in this case it was chocolate cake with orangesicle icing and it was moist and delicious! Overall, highly recommend stopping in, especially for groups and/or business dinners!

I have one thing to tell you-finishing salt on warm soft bread. This is the first thing that greets you at the table. The pork chops is thick, moist and fantastic with a watermelon salad. The jalapeño cornbread is excellent! If you are in Lexington please visit Dudley’s!

We popped in here on a whim last night and wow—I’m so glad we did! Even without a reservation (lesson learned!), the manager, Heath, went out of his way to make us feel welcome. He found us a spot at the beautiful downstairs bar, and honestly, it couldn’t have been better. The bartenders were fantastic—attentive, friendly, and just spot-on with everything. You can immediately tell this is a local favorite. The regulars greeted us like we’d been coming there for years, which made the whole night feel extra special. And the food? Incredible. The fried cauliflower appetizer was so flavorful, and the seared tuna special was absolutely perfect. This place has it all—great atmosphere, amazing food, and people who truly care about making your experience memorable. Can’t wait to come back!

We had a great experience at Dudley’s on Short! The Korean Fried Cauliflower was absolutely amazing — crispy, flavorful, and one of the highlights of the meal. My lamb shank had great flavor and the potatoes, kale, and demi-glace were delicious, though the meat itself could’ve used another hour of cooking to be perfectly tender. My husband ordered the Tournedos Maxwell, and it was cooked to perfection — he loved every bite. The homemade rolls and butter were also a standout touch. We’ll definitely be back!

We came for a Christmas Eve lunch on our Kentucky vacation and the food was delicious. We had baked oysters, and beef filet and short rib entrees with the tastiest jam cake. The service was attentive, top notch. A proper cocktail menu and the atmosphere was so festive and cozy. This historic place feels more like a residence more than a restaurant. There was something homey about it which made it perfect for a holiday away from home. This is fine dining at its best in downtown Lexington.

Great atmosphere and the food was exceptional. Immediately we were served delicious rolls which started a great meal. The smoked trout eggs, marinated olives and Milanese chicken were excellent. The hot brown had good flavor but was on the dry side. Great meal and evening in lovely surroundings.

I went to Dudley's for the first time with colleagues. Bailey our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and made some wheel recommendations!! We ordered several specials and desserts at her suggestion. Everything was delicious and the ambiance stellar. It was a chilly evening and we were sat by the fire place. Wonderful all around!

OBC Kitchen is a stylish restaurant located along Tates Creek Road in Lexington, KY, offering a modern take on Southern cuisine. The restaurant prides itself on its extensive bourbon list, featuring an impressive selection of Kentucky's finest as well as offerings from other regions. The menu features fresh, farm-to-table options for lunch, including must-try items like the fried chicken sandwich and smoked brisket. Additionally, OBC Kitchen offers a great selection of local beers to complement your meal.
Wow! We went here for our anniversary dinner and it surpassed our expectations! The bacon in a glass appetizer is stupidly good. I had the old fashioned flight and it so worth the price! The strawberry fog seasonal old fashioned was SO good!! For dinner we had the Steak and Cake and the seared halibut. Both were outstanding. Because I had told them we were celebrating our anniversary they gave us a free dessert and we chose the donuts. All the sauces that came along were really good. I cannot recommend OBC enough. While they are part of the Drakes/Malones group this is by far the best of their restaurants!

Went to finally check out OBC during Lexington Restaurant Week and it did not disappoint! We split all of the courses in order to both enjoy a lot of flavor options. Started with Sweet Corn Dip and Tortilla chips along with the Barbecue Shrimp both being a perfect start to our main course and of course a couple of Dinner rolls warm with possibly Parmesan cheese on them and these were also served while we were waiting for our meals. Then we moved into the Manhattan Steak and Fingerling Potatoes along with Buttermilk Biscuits with Fried chicken and Hot Honey making it into a sandwich. Both of these were also exceptional. Our ending was Cinnamon Donuts and a couple of dipping options (caramel and raspberry sauce) and London Fog Pie A la Mode. Overall this was a fantastic meal!

I had a fantastic time at OBC Kitchen. The halibut was pure perfection — flaky, flavorful, and resting on a heavenly crab hash with a sauce that tasted like silky corn pudding. The beet salad was phenomenal — vibrant, balanced, and beautifully plated. Don’t even get me started on the bread… warm, fluffy, and absolutely to die for! We also shared fingerling potatoes, and my friend loved their crinkle-cut fries and salad. The mocktails were fresh, creative, and full of flavor. From start to finish, everything was executed flawlessly. The chef here is a true visionary. I can’t wait to go back — next time, I’m saving room for dessert!

Excellent place. Atmosphere, service and the food. The atmosphere is a more of a fancier setting and would be perfect for a date as its lighting is dimmer which makes it more engaging overall. Next is the service. Trevor was the guy who waited on me and his service was top notch and he was very freindly, attentive and helpful when I was navigating through the tablet menu. Really great guy overall. Lastly the food. This place is more expensive so keep that in mind, but the food was all excellent and perfectly prepared, cooked and even in presentation. I had the Wagyu Meatballs as an appetizer, a Whiskey Sour drink, the Steak and Cake (petite) Entrée, an additional side of the wild mushroom risotto and the Churro Cheesecake to go which I took a bite when I got back in my hotel room and it was delicious. Everything was great. I'll definitely come back here when I'm in the area

First thing first, our server Shelby was AMAZING! She was attentive, knew her bourbon and the food, patience and engaging! Over 800 bourbon selections, Star Wars themed cocktails, top shelf bourbon (we had the Willet 6yr Lion bourbon, was top notch, $20/oz), and food was excellent in both tastes and presentations. Highly recommend this place if you visit Lexington...especially the Bacon in the Glass. We shared one appetizer, two meals and 3 sides between the 4 of us. We were full and still had leftover. With taxes and tips and all of the food, was about $50/person. Reasonable for fine dining. Appetizer- Bacon In The Glass Entrees - Shrimp Gnocchi and Parmesan Chicken Caprese Sides - Crispy Fingerling Potatoes, Wild Mushrooms Risotto, and Truffle Mac n Cheese Cocktails - Balance To The Force, Jedi Mind Trick, and Jar Jar's Jam Session. Funniest and the coolest drink was "Even The Youngling" lol

It is in a strip mall, but the inside feels very comfortable and trendy. Our server was on point. Definitely an excellent server. I had The barbecue shrimp for an appetizer. I tried the wildfire. Margarita, it was extremely fruity and more of a girl drink. For my entrée. I had fried chicken it came with like a honey hot sauce. I get the place four stars because it’s really not anything special. It’s just a place that gets the job done. I can’t remember what the name of the dessert was, but it was basically a giant macaroon.

A gastro pub with solid interior wooden decor, intimate lounge-like lighting, a fairly Bourbon-knowledgeable staff, innovative tablet drink/cocktail menu, and exorbitant selection of over 600 whiskeys/Bourbons/liquors. Today I tried the macaroni & cheese ($11), followed by the wonderful Cola-braised short ribs ($29, with cheese grits, wilted greens, applewood smoked bacon, cider-honey vinaigrette, natural jus). Tenderness exuded through the meat, with ample flavor and fat. The salad greens were amazingly filling, tasty. Pairing with the meal was a neat Buzzard's Roost 5-yr toasted Bourbon ($22 for 2 ounces). Very impressed by the nose, mouthfeel on that. Would gladly recommend the experience to any visitor of Lexington!

On a Saturday afternoon after a trip to Sam’s Club, the Fat Man and his wife headed down Tates Creek Road to OBC Kitchen (Old Bourbon County Kitchen) for an early dinner. OBC is a stylish restaurant offering updated Southern fare, craft beer & an extensive bourbon list. We started with the Bacon in a Glass appetizer. The Bacon was thick-cut and cooked to a salty, crunchy, chewy, fatty texture, and the brown sugar amplified the flavor. The peanut butter sauce adds a creaminess to cut through the saltiness, while not adding extra sweetness. We also sampled the Fried Green Tomatoes. The tomatoes were thick-cut, and the breading was cooked perfectly with a great crunch. The bacon jam offered both a sweet and a heat to the dish, which cut through the herb cheese. The heat lingers and builds the flavor while the cheese gives the dish a creamy, cooling, and flavorful component. The addition of the candied Bacon adds even more flavor. We split the Cola-Braised Short Ribs and added the roasted glazed Brussels sprouts. The grits had a grainy texture, were not as cheesy as I expected, and lacked seasoning. The greens were crunchy and had a nice apple cider vinegar taste, but they were more like a salad than I expected. I thought they would be southern-style greens. The short rib was dry and lacked seasoning, although the slaw gave it texture and a crunch. The Brussels sprouts were bitter and overcooked while flirting with a burnt flavor. Although not pictured, they served salt rolls to start the meal, and they were excellent. OBC serves a menu with starters, salads, entrees, sides, and desserts that they source from many local farms. They have a full menu, seasonally rotating drink menus, and an extensive bourbon selection. The Fat Man says that OBC Kitchen is Fat Man Approved with 1 chin.

Winchell's Restaurant and Bar is a lively sports bar located in Lexington, KY, known for its standard pub grub and Southern favorites like Hot Browns. The restaurant has been a neighborhood favorite for over 30 years and was taken to the next level when it was acquired by Eric Abe Lansdale and Graham Waller in 2002.
There was a farmers market going on outside when we visited. I had pancakes, bacon and home fries. All three were cooked to perfection. Sweet tea was delicious. I also had a mimosa spiked with peach vodka and I’m going to wake one that way from now on all the time! Our waitress was very nice, took our orders quickly, made recommendations and was on top of making sure we enjoyed our meal. Atmosphere at this place is stellar. We are big soccer fans and didn’t know this was a soccer bar/ restaurant! Visiting from Columbus Ohio and will definitely be back. Thank you!

I ordered the cheeseburger with tater tots and a sweet tea. My friend ordered a cheeseburger with coleslaw and a sweet tea. I was disappointed that they didn't have sliced pickles to go on the cheeseburger. But the cheeseburger was excellent except for the price of being about $14 for the whole plate. And they also charge for the sweet tea which was mediocre. I don't know if they didn't have enough waitresses that day but we had to get up and get our own mayonnaise even though we ordered it. The place was really really clean and had lots of of patrons there.

The buffalo chicken sandwich had so much blue cheese all I tasted was penicillin did overtook the taste of the buffalo chicken lettuce tomato and the bread. I brought it to the attention of the gentleman that was at the bar and all he said is hes sorry. The fries were good and atmosphere was good but that's all I can say about this trip.

My husband and I both got breakfast platters with fried eggs, bacon, home fries and biscuits and gravy. The food came out hot and fast. I will have to say this restaurant is really heavy on the salt. Actually more salt than just the average. Our waitress Nikki was phenomenal. She always checked on us. Refilled drinks as needed and was overall a wonderful waitress. I’m not quite sure I would eat breakfast here again just because of the heaviness of salt. But I may try lunch to see if it’s better.

Love, local businesses, especially ones that have sustained decades of service to the community. Portions are large and Refills on coffee and water come quickly. Personally, I like that they use a better grade of wheat bread for the toast. And the country ham is legit. Not the thin kind - the good kind.

Great place with amazing food for the price point. A handful of local brews on tap and a full bar. You would think that it's a sports bar and some folks may consider it that but the food quality is certainly above bar food level. All of our visits we've had outstanding service. My only very minor complaint is that I wish they had Miller Lite on draft but they're more than happy to bring you a bottle and glass. Also, I couldn't help noticing that the music played over the sound system is all covers of major artists by artists I'm not familiar with and they do not have a TouchTunes here to play music on. And even though a very close and exciting Reds game was on this Sunday they didn't turn the volume on. Not sure if that's standard protocol or not but if it is a sports bar some sound for games would be a step in the right direction. Phew! Please take that all as some constructive criticism. The food and service are above and beyond, the establishment is clean and has a very local feel to it, and they seem to maintain a family friendly environment while simultaneously offering patrons full bar service. Also, I've been here for breakfast and it's one of the best in Lexington. The food here just never disappoints!

Winchell's has been on my “need to try” list for over a year. I have always heard good things. We don’t live on that side of town, so we just made our way there recently. Honestly, my husband wanted to go somewhere else but since he couldn’t really decide where we ended up at Winchell’s. I have nothing but good things to say, and same for my husband. The server (Parker) was exceptional. He was genuine and kept our drinks filled. We started with the potato skins and as you can see from the picture they did not skimp on the toppings. When Parker brought out the meals he was even more impressive. I got the BBQ sandwich and after he sat it down he said. “You may want to check the bottom bun. They get soggy fast.” I checked and it was in fact soggy from the juices that had leaked from the BBQ. He brought me a new bun immediately. The BBQ sandwich was flavorful and the slaw and BBQ worked great together. Just a heads up I had to unlock my jaw to eat it. (not complaining) I also got the Macaroni & Cheese and it was super creamy and delicious. My husband got chili and wings. He liked the chili but loved the wings. He got buffalo flavor and asked the waiter if it was homemade and if they sell it by the jar. The answer was yes and yes as they sell it by the quart and pint. We didn’t get a jar that day but my husband has since went back to get a jar of the buffalo sauce.

Wild Eggs is a popular restaurant chain known for its warm and contemporary setting, serving a variety of breakfast options, sandwiches, and salads. The atmosphere may feel a bit awkward at first due to the lack of a set hostess, but the friendly staff and diverse menu make up for it. The coffee is served in a larger pitcher for self-refills, adding to the relaxed dining experience. Customers appreciate the fresh and high-quality ingredients used in their dishes.
Great breakfast spot with an expansive menu, large portions and efficient service. A little pricey compared to other breakfast spots but food quality and portion sizes make it worth the money. Look forward to going back next time I am in town.

For my first visit - I was thoroughly disappointed. It took forever to get coffee and water, the waitress put in the wrong food order, and my steak & eggs benedict had to be the worst I have ever had in my life. My 'poached' eggs were essentially hard-boiled and had pieces of eggshell still there. The outside of the yolk was so cooked that it was turning that gray green color. The steak itself had maybe a handful of edible bites through all of the fat and gristle. I had a pile of it pushed to the side of the plate. I stomached what I could - part of the English muffin and some avocado and grits. The waitress could have been more helpful and she didn't listen - there were numerous moments I had to repeat myself and she kind of blew me off when I got the wrong food and asked for the correct order. She brought out a fruit cup to snack on before the correct food came out and the fruit was so dry and thrown together - it had to be a bowl that had sat out all morning. The manager did comp a portion of our receipt for the wrong order mix-up but the food that arrived was not worth the wait it took to get it right. All in all - I will not be back.

Thanks Liz for making breakfast enjoyable 😉. I always research where I'm going to eat when I am traveling. Wild Eggs made it to the top of my list because of the stuffed French toast. So sweet and good that I didn't need syrup. Also had a strawberry lemonade mimosa.

Good strong coffee, a full carafe was brought to the table. A little pricey, but the portions were large. The Chicken and Waffle was great. The Mad Platter is a good sample of a variety of dishes. The pancakes were good, but a little dense.

Came in here for some breakfast instead of grabbing my usual SB. Noticed the place looks very nice and bright, a superb look to your usual Denny’s. Asked for some water with lemon and ordered a latte, nothing crazy with 2% milk. Don’t know what that was but it was awful. Shifted gear and ordered two simple things, two eggs medium and two pancakes. I totally expected a simple plate, two pancakes and eggs ni let placed on one plate. I was shocked when i saw the plate with the two pancakes, these things were huge! I even placed my regular iPhone next to the plate so you can gauge on how big they were. Well, to me less is more. These pancakes ales were so big that the middle doesn’t end up cooking well and I was jabbing at it, I reached the middle, it tasted like that pasty taste from not being cooked right and for the simple reason of being too big! The outside, looked perfect. One thing I noticed, maybe it was that particular day, the waitresses didn’t smile. Shame, it’s a very beautiful place that I’m sure lots of people enjoy. At this point I was done. Don’t see myself going back. NOT a Valdi approved joint! Not even close.

Arrived for breakfast shortly after 7am, not too busy. Seated right away, tables clear and place looked clean. Didn’t catch my waitress’ name. She was polite enough and helpful with ideas on the menu. Didn’t feel rushed to order. Coffee came first which was nice and attentive to needs of the table. Opted for my usual, an omelette, which turned out quite nice. Food came out good temperature and pretty prompt, thank you. A good selection on the menu, however some of the items felt priced a bit higher than I expected, the main reason for a 4 out of 5. There did seem to be a lot of take out orders. Establishment has green eating of 97%.

Top notch! Food was excellent (I had the Diver Scallops, dare I say one of the best dishes in Lexington?) I sat at the outdoor bar, served by two fabulous male bartenders, & enjoyed every minute! Highly recommend! (Side note, I’ve been before, & every time the food is incredibly delicious!) The only bad thing I can say, and it wasn’t even bad, was there was no music. No radio or anything. Kind of enjoyed it though, the silence :)

We went to the bookstore in this shopping center and we're looking for somewhere good to eat. This place didn't disappoint. Chicken was so yummy, the burger was huge and delicious, salmon was absolutely amazing and stunning. All of the sides were so good! The beer battered fish was our least favorite. It didn't have too much flavor. The pumpkin creme brulee was so good and amazing texture and flavor! We loved the outdoor seating and being able to feed the ducks and swans. Stay away from the bread oil though...it had a very bitter taste and much to be desired. The bread is good though. We will be back when in Lexington.

We came here with a group of 7. The food was sort of hit or miss. The fish sliders had good flavor but the fish on it was a tiny little nugget. Compared to the bread it was almost comical. The breading on the fish was good though. The breakfast tacos were ok. There was barely any hollandaise and that was the draw of the item for me since it was a unique combo. I also think it would have been better to have tots inside instead of flavorless potatoes. Also not many toppings, so I added cheese on them. The standout food item for many of us was the wedge salad. The balsamic on it and the crispy onions were delicious and it was a great portion size. The Alfredo was good, the sauce was flavorful. The chowder wasn’t good, the corn was weird in it and chewy thick texture was off putting. The vibe outside is great. Inside is cute but the booths are super uncomfortable sadly. The service was overall good like a nice waiter but the food took forever and they weren’t that busy.

We travel through the Lexington KY area a couple times a year. This was our second trip to 33 Staves. The food is quite good. Presentation, and service are fantastic. My only critic from this last visit was that they had a feature substitution for the Salmon dish I was craving. But the substitution was a blackened salmon and it was pretty darn good too. The wait staff is super polite and very professional. Our server this time was Eric and he was a pleasure. I will most likely make this a must on every future visit. The whole menu looks fantastic and I'll probably work my way through it eventually. This trip I tried their take on a watermelon salad. Not the way I'm used to, and not how id make it, but it was very good. Im definitely adding candied jalapeños to my personal watermelon salad recipe. My wife and I always enjoy our meals here. They also have a very well stocked bar with lots of tasty options.

Had to come for a work dinner. Called earlier in the day explaining that i was vegan and needed to confirm i would be able to eat. They assured me there were a couple of options, but very minimal. Got there and had the private room. Ordered my only options (soup and salad- both CLEARLY specified vegan). first, I went to clarify that I have worked in various levels of food service and management and something has to be really, really bad for me to send it back to the kitchen or refuse it. I don’t have high expectations eating in an animal-heavy restaurant as a vegan and was not expecting much, considering the lack of variety on the menu. Brought the soup. it was awful. basically cloudy ginger tea. when I waved to the person who had placed it at the table and told her to take it back, she agreed that it was not good. So then why did they serve it in the first place? When I’ve worked in restaurants, especially fine dining, a manager/chef would never let something like that leave the kitchen. Served me the salad and it had bleu cheese on it. Sent it back and specified NO ANIMAL PRODUCTS. They brought me “another” one. Third time is a charm! I started eating it. FULL OF BACON! And it wasn’t a topping. It was scattered around the bottom of the bowl so that I didn’t see it until I was halfway through the salad and bit into some. i am appalled. i haven’t eaten meat in over 10 years. Obviously just picked off the cheese and brought the same salad back. This is super messed up!! Especially with regards to religious and allergy (alpha gal) considerations with pork. They were supposed to make a new salad. Then the manager has the gall to come in during our meeting and put her hand on me?? Blown away! Why would you touch a guest? In a normal situation, I would have said “WHY ARE YOU TOUCHING ME?” but I was unable to say anything because my boss was literally giving a presentation to the room. had to lean away from her and put my hand up to indicate it was not OK to touch me! Unbelievable! Didn’t offer any replacement, although I know there were some things they could have offered based on the conversation I had earlier when I called and confirmed with the chef that I would in fact be able to eat. Went home hungry/sick knowing someone careless had fed me dead animal after 10 years of leaving them off of my plate. Absolutely awful AND DANGEROUS! Shame on the kitchen that tried to pull this lazy move. Disgusting. Edit: spoke to the manager after I left and found out that the original salad DOES NOT CONTAIN BACON!! someone in the kitchen added bacon to the salad purposefully when it was ordered without animal products. This is far beyond carelessness and now seems purposeful. The idea that this kitchen would try to sneak pork products into a dish that was supposed to be free of all animal products is horrifying! One plus is that the manager did apologize for touching me. she also stated that the soup and salad were comped. Ya think??????? Comping the inedible food that you served is the absolute bare minimum. and you’re announcing it like it’s some kind of win? Was there actually a question about us paying for these items that should not have been served? Mind boggling decision-making going on in this whole place!

Great happy hour deals on beer, wine and food. Fantastic bourbon selection - as expected. Ambiance is great, especial for a hotel bar. I had some of the best (likely the best) wings ever - dry dusting of chilli was great which I could dip in buffalo sauce. Only knocks they ran out of Chardonnay and my wife’s steak was grizzly. Really enjoyed our date night here. We ordered the coffee & coca rubbed venison, lamb kabobs, carrots, focaccia, cucumbers & drinks. Everything was elevated and flavorful. It was nice to see people dressed up. It was fancy but it wasn’t pretentious. Zac took great care of us & we appreciated his drink & food recommendations. Nice atmosphere, not too dark or too loud.

It's a cute brunch location, the menu is small but really good. We recommend the French toast and the chicken & waffles, both were delicious! Bottomless mimosas were good with a great price. Service was good, getting food to the table didn't take long after ordering. However, waiter forgot to come back to refill water, mimosa carafe and never came back to ask my husband about his bar menu choice.

We went out for a group dinner and tried Epping’s for the first time! The small plates were fantastic—my favorite was definitely the lamb kabobs. Everything else was delicious too. The steak tataki was good, but it was a bit too heavy on the sauce, which overpowered the dish a little. For our large plate, we ordered the mushroom risotto. I usually love a good risotto, but this one caught me off guard. The grilled mushrooms had a strong vinegar flavor that overwhelmed the dish and made it hard to enjoy. The interior of the restaurant was beautiful, with lots of natural sunlight and a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. That said, everything else was phenomenal and the service was excellent. I’d still recommend giving it a try!

Excellent atmosphere design and nice menu. Went there with a big group overall we were satisfied. My wife and I experienced flaws in the execution. They failed to get an over easy egg on 2 tries. I got the chicken and grits special. My chicken breading was dark brown and greasy and under cooked. I did not eat and was not asked or given an attempt to correct. Another in our party had the same experience with undercooked chicken. Buscuits were pretty but dry and crusty. Server came to table many times but I failed to look my direction. The place was loud with conversation and background music. The eggs Benedict looked good and were recommended by our hosts.

There aren't a lot of places that do it as well as Epping's does. The food and drink are consistently excellent, perfectly cooked and served with a sincere smile. Best smashburger, hands down; great happy hour options. Highly recommended. 👏👌

4/12/25 My husband and I came here for our date night We shared crab bisque, pork belly burnt ends, a house salad with bleu cheese, chicken satay, and French fries fried in beef tallow (yes, they were as good as they sound and so thankful for no seed oil options) The food was fantastic, I do wish the bleu cheese dressing was a bit more bleu cheesy but other than that everything was great. The ambiance here is so mini jungle-like with all the various plants. I love the large space and the service was quick. The bathroom design was unique too, had to share that it is their family bathroom and the design for smaller children is too cute. Would definitely recommend this location for anyone looking to true unique food options.

Let me start with what should not be confused with as hyperbole: I had the best meal of my life here. My wife and I took our three young children here for an anniversary dinner. It was during restaurant week, so they had an adjusted menu. We ordered the four course meal and then one large plate and two small plates. They had a children’s menu, but we prefer to have our kids experience more food than just grilled cheese, buttered noodles, burgers, and other typical kid’s menu choices. We all just shared each of the dishes as they came out. Some of our favorites were the gnocchi, chicken satay, skirt steak, and lamb kabob. However, every dish was incredibly tasty and unique. There was this tomato jam on one of the dishes that was amazing. The staff were fantastic with our kids and the other patrons were very pleasant as well. There is convenient parking, and even though the restaurant was full on a Friday night, it didn’t feel busy or crowded. Thank you for a fantastic meal!

This restaurant is awful. I won’t be going back. The food was cold and distasteful, and it took them forty minutes to get it. The service was poor, and the prices are way too high for the quality of the food and decor. You’re really paying for the location and the ambiance.

Nestled in the bustling Chevy Chase area, Bear & The Butcher stands out for its commitment to safety with a UV lighting system on its spacious patios. Offering picturesque views of the shopping district, this eatery serves up locally sourced casual dishes like house-smoked meats, wings, tacos, and sandwiches. Families can enjoy affordable meal packages featuring delectable options such as beef and four cheese lasagna, crispy chicken tenders, B&B tacos, and pulled pork sandwiches.
Loved the welcome and honesty being from out of town the menu was a bit overwhelming but our bartender walked us thru it every bit of the way. The wings were great and the sauce had a good kick that I was missing from home. Shrimp tacos were beautifully presented and overall we can’t wait to come back next time. Texas loves you 💋💕

Nice atmosphere with an open layout. The staff is super friendly! We had the brisket tacos and California flatbread—the tacos were tasty and generous, but the flatbread lacked a bit in flavor. Overall a good spot to enjoy a meal and a drink.

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat in Lexington. I was excited to show a group of my friends how good this place is while we were at a business conference. We went for dinner and the first drink that I ordered was out of stock and the second one the frozen drink machine was out of order to be cleaned, the third drink option was pretty tasty so no complaints there. We tried a lot of different foods. The cheese were phenomenal. The nachos are great. The steak that I got was pretty flavorless unfortunately but the brussels sprouts were tasty. The salmon was also lacking flavor which is a little disappointing their brunch has been great. The last few times I’ve had it so I’m still giving this place three stars. The service was also good. It’s very unfortunate that my most recent experience was disappointing but still a pretty good place to get some good food.

I never share reviews but here I am. My boyfriend went here for the first time this Monday night for dinner and it was perfect. I’ve lived here for over 6 years and always wanted to go but never got a chance. I am so happy our initial dinner plans were cancelled somewhere else so we could experience this place! I got the quesadilla which was the best quesadilla I’ve ever had. My boyfriend got a hamburger that looked super good and he said it was the best hamburger he had ever had (I literally didn’t even say that out loud yet about my quesadilla for him to say those words). We also got asparagus and onion rings as extra sides and I’m happy we did! I wish I remembered our servers name but she was also great and didn’t hover too much but still checked on us the appropriate amount. We spent $80 something for the both of us (bc of extra sided). 100% coming back. This is a new favorite.

We are from out of town and went there on a Wednesday night . Staff were friendly , our waiter was awesome! Gave us great recommendations! I would never have tried the duck dumplings If we hadn’t asked him what the favorite appetizer on the menu is. They were absolutely amazing. I would get them again and again and again! The manager on duty was phenomenal. Overall, just a wonderful experience I would definitely go back!

Brunch restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Lexington, Great Bagel & Bakery is a delightful eatery that has been charming locals and visitors alike since its inception by Lara and Robert Swan in 2011. With two established locations and a new spot on the UK campus, this bakery specializes in hand-crafted New York-style bagels made from stone-milled organic wheat sourced from local farms.
Great Bagel isn’t just another bagel shop—it’s a labor of love. They mill their own flour in-house, giving their bagels a fresh, nutty flavor that’s unlike anything you’ll find at a chain. The bagels are perfectly chewy with a golden, crisp exterior that makes each bite irresistible. But what really makes Great Bagel stand out is the staff. The warmth and kindness you’ll encounter here is unparalleled. Every person behind the counter greets you with a genuine smile, takes the time to chat, and makes you feel like you’re part of the family. It’s the kind of place where you feel like a regular on your first visit, and that’s rare these days. If you're looking for a spot where exceptional bagels meet a community-focused atmosphere, this is your place. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to visit every morning—and the kind of staff you’ll look forward to seeing every time.

There was barely any Lox on my NYC bagel. I've seen more Lox on a $14.00 bagel up in New York than here. Not to mention the bagel itself was rock hard. The Hot Brown was at least flavorful but very dry. The Melt came out decent, my son really liked it. Also 5% for employee health and wellness?

The atmosphere at the one off Boston road is terrific. The other location is fine. Nothing special bur always seems clean and there is lots if seating. The prices are too bad and the food is always very 😋. I find their brewed coffee to be very bitter.

This place is great and I look forward to my Turkcranstuffel every year. Both locations are great, but Woodland staff just seems to know you, especially Danielle. She is the kindest, sweetest person. She just makes you feel welcomed and she talks to everyone. She brings a smile every day to work, rain or shine.

The bagels and blueberry cream cheese are excellent! The only thing I didn’t like is I ordered a dozen bagels to-go for a work event and they said they couldn’t toast them on the dozen orders. Other than that though the bagels are worth the trip!

I have never left a poor review before especially. especially didn’t want to leave one with a smaller local business but I was very disappointed with my experience. I stopped in on my lunch break to get a veggie bagel. I usually go to the local coffee shop down the street from my office but decided to try something new. (I pay $6 for this btw) I stopped in and ordered a regular bagel, the chive cream cheese, tomato, cucumber and onion. After leaving $1.50 tip it came to $14.40 which is honestly really expensive in my opinion. No drink no chips just the bagel. Service was quick. I got back to my office and it had a pile of turkey on it and next to no cream cheese. I don’t eat turkey but pulled it off and tried to eat it anyway. Super disappointed.

From out of town and the company I visited ordered lunch from here. It was like bagel sandwich roulette as none of the sandwiches were labelled. I was fortunate enough to blindly grab the BMB... which I must say was the BoMB! Everyone else also enjoyed their surprise!... so from the variety available, it seems like good flavor across the board.
Ali R — Google review
I got an everything bagel at 9 am (they open at 7). The bagel was a little bready and dry but otherwise baked perfectly. The seasoning was balanced and not burnt. Flavor was 9/10, malty and earthy but still neutral enough to not conflict with the seasoning. I would have liked it to be more fresh and moist, but overall I'm pleased.

Such an amazing restaurant with a swanky vibe. All food is fresh and so is the decor. Dalton our server was wonderful and extremely helpful. The steak was cooked perfectly. Dessert was amazing. 100% recommend.

Both the food and drinks were exceptional. Our server, Abby, made excellent suggestions. She was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. We had the oysters, pork belly, and ribeyes. All were delicious and done exactly as we ordered. We both highly recommend this restaurant.

In fact, the place is very beautiful and elegant, my husband and I came just to try dishes from the regular menu, the waiter was very friendly, we ordered chicken for my husband and I ordered a Caesar salad and baked oysters, it was very atmospheric, but there is one BUT, my husband is a connoisseur of chicken and he personally did not like it, because according to him the chicken was very dry, but no complaints as this is everyone's business and everyone has different tastes, they brought me a delicious salad, but I would ask for a little less sauce, because it feels like you are not eating a salad with sauce, but a sauce with a salad, they also brought me oysters, but they were raw, I said that I ordered baked ones, they immediately took them away, and when my husband had already finished eating, somewhere from the moment they took the oysters, 20 minutes had passed (given that there were about 4 tables occupied, that is, this is not even half the seating) and they brought me my oysters, I began to eat them, but when ordering no one warned that some the oysters are spicy, as a person who doesn't like spicy food I just ate one and we just stood up, asked for the bill and left, I understand that everyone has a different taste, but I repeat once again we have no complaints, it's just not the best experience, since the restaurant is considered to be in a really expensive segment, they could at least warn us that the oysters are spicy. Maybe we'll come again sometime, but honestly I don't even know, BUT the place is really very beautiful and atmospheric.

First time coming lunch here and loved it! Excellent menu and everything is so tasty. Got pimento cheese and labna appetizer that was very large and more to split for 4 people probably. Chili sorghum salad is delicious but has some heat to it so if don't like spicy food don't get it. And tri tip sandwich is very tender and delicious with the mustard chimichurri. Great place for elevated food and drinks. The coconut lime drink it out of this world tasty. I could drink a gallon of that everyday! Service was great and very nice dining area. Highly recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Granddam Restaurant and Bar in the Manchester Hotel, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the beautifully designed interior—tasteful old-world décor with rich leather seating, dark wood accents, and a warm, inviting ambiance. The setting alone creates a perfect blend of elegance and comfort. As for the food, it was simply exceptional. The highlight of the meal was the Lamb Wellington, which was nothing short of perfection. The lamb was tender and flavorful, wrapped in a delicate pastry that added just the right amount of texture. It’s a dish that stands out and makes you eager to come back for more. I will say we weren't huge fans of the fire roasted vegetable schmear on the Bagel & Lox - seemed a bit overpowering. But the salmon itself was so amazing and more than made up for it. The bar experience was equally impressive. We started with a bourbon tasting before dinner, and it was a real treat - charcuterie and gratuity was included in the $55 fee. Kentucky is known for its bourbon, and Granddam certainly showcases it well with a wide selection of premium options. The bartenders were knowledgeable and curated the tasting with great care, making the whole experience both informative and enjoyable. Our cocktails were also expertly crafted and complemented the meal beautifully. Overall, Granddam Restaurant and Bar offers a top-tier dining experience in Lexington, combining excellent cuisine, impeccable drinks, and a refined atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful Christmas dinner at Granddam! Service was caring to needs and gave detailed information about the menu. The fried chicken was crispy, expertly seasoned, and served with cheesy mashed potatoes. The ham dish was perfection, as were the rolls served with an addictive miso garlic butter. The price point is well worth it for the quality of the experience and food.

Ramsey's Diner - Zandale is a bustling diner that serves breakfast all day and offers familiar comfort food along with draft brews. The restaurant has a selection of salads, each served on salad mix with various toppings and homemade dressings. It specializes in true Kentucky-style cooking, offering thirteen entrees including meatloaf, pan blackened catfish, and country fried pork chops paired with three perfectly prepared vegetables.
10/5/24 My husband and I came here for dinner, as we were trying to find a place to go that wasn’t a chain. I’ve only been to Ramsey’s one other time but it had been years ago. Also, it was at a complete different location. If you’re looking for amazing Southern food with generous portions, Ramsey Diner is the place to go. My husband and I ordered the steak dinner, which came with perfectly seasoned mashed potatoes, crispy fried green tomatoes, creamy mac and cheese, and a side of rich, flavorful chicken livers. Every bite tasted like comfort food at its finest. To top it off, we shared a slice of their decadent peanut butter pie—it was the perfect sweet ending to an incredible meal. This place has Great Southern cooking, hearty portions, and a cozy atmosphere with great wait staff. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The portions were so large we even had leftovers to take home. Hands down, the best restaurant experience we’ve had yet!

A True Comfort Food Gem – Ramsey’s Diner in Zandale Ramsey’s Diner in Zandale hits the sweet spot between hearty, homemade cooking and warm, welcoming service. From the moment I sat down, I felt like I was in a familiar, comforting space. The food was outstanding — generous portions, beautifully seasoned, and clearly made with care. The meatloaf was tender and flavorful, paired perfectly with a rich tomato-based sauce. Sides like buttered corn, baby carrots, and pinto beans were simple but satisfying. And let’s talk about that mini pie — flaky, sweet, and the perfect finish. The service was attentive without being overbearing. Staff were cheerful, prompt with coffee refills, and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there. Even during a busy evening, my server checked in regularly and made sure everything was to my liking. The atmosphere is casual but inviting — think classic diner charm with a hometown feel. The red-checked tablecloths, hot coffee, and steady flow of conversation make it a great place to relax and enjoy a comforting meal. All in all, Ramsey’s Diner exceeded expectations. It’s the kind of place you return to not just for the food, but for how it makes you feel. Highly recommended for anyone craving genuine Southern hospitality.

Merrick Inn Restaurant is a charming and romantic spot located in Lexington, KY, offering traditional Southern fare in a historic manor house setting. Recently acquired by new owners, this institution has been a favorite dining tradition for over 40 years. The restaurant features a picturesque covered patio with hanging plants and a pergola providing filtered shade. After undergoing renovations, the brick-laid patio reopened in early April, allowing patrons to enjoy the idyllic outdoor space.
We love the outdoor patio. Server was attentive and gave us great brunch recommendations. This is definitely southern comfort food done well. Both the shrimp and grits and chicken cordon blue were excellent. If you like a mimosa with brunch, they offer several varieties including a cherry one.

We’re from out of town and decided to try Merrick’s based upon the reviews. We weren’t disappointed. The upscale country decor has a distinctly Lexington flair. The service was excellent and the food very good. It was plated beautifully. Sea bass was on the specials menu and was prepared with just the right amount of seasoning. The risotto was ok, not really to our taste, but the fish and other excellent sides more than made up for it. We also had the crab cakes which were generously portioned. We recommend!
Ed W — Google review
The food was very good. The atmosphere was nice,we were on the patio. The service well it was really disappointing we constantly had to ask for more drinks and asked multiple times just to wait even longer, our waitress seemed more interested in the party of 2 that she had than our party of 6. Listening to the surrounding tables their servers were top notch which should be expected at any nicer establishment. I would visit here again but next time I won't be so forgiving on the service aspect.

Food was delicious and one of if not the best steak I’ve ever had it was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. She had the pecan crusted pork chop and it looked amazing as well. Also had the Creme brûlée and it was wonderful. Staff was attentive and very helpful. The tables were mix matched and ours was very wobbly, almost capsized it a few times. They do have valet parking, if you have any kind of mobility issues use this option as other parking can be a decent walk. Also make a reservation.

Great dinner with friends. We ordered a wide variety of dishes. Peach sangria was wonderful. Lamb chops were awesome but they are loin chops and not rib chops. We had the stewed tomatoes and corn as sides. Both were tasty but could have been served hotter. Great spot for a group dinner. Especially for out of towners like us. Our service was fantastic. Great bar and patio for pre dinner drinks. Free valet parking makes getting in and out a breeze. I’d come again.

Went in with high expectations, and they were met in every way they could have been met. The food looked and tasted great. I had chicken and waffles. Fruit was included, as well as two different varieties of syrup. If I ever travel this way again, I will absolutely be stopping here.

Amanda H — Google review
I visited this restaurant yesterday — one of the many times my husband and his colleagues have dined here, but only my second time joining him. We were seated in the Library Room, a beautifully appointed space, but unfortunately, the service did not match the ambiance. It took several minutes before a waitress approached our table. After our appetizer was served, there was an additional wait of approximately 23 minutes before anyone returned to take our main course orders. During that time, we noticed several guests who arrived after us were already being served and had even finished their meals. Meanwhile, another server, Matt, appeared to be engaged in lengthy conversations with what seemed to be regular patrons. I eventually had to ask him to check on the status of our meals — a step I shouldn’t have needed to take. While I understand that a busy evening can lead to delays, it was disappointing to see such a disparity in service. What made matters worse was the quality of the food: my lamb chops were charred on the outside and undercooked on the inside — far from acceptable. Given my husband's previous positive experiences here, this visit was especially disappointing. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as the setting and reputation suggest the restaurant is capable of much better.

If you're on the hunt for a casual yet delightful dining experience, look no further than Malone's Palomar. This informal steakhouse chain is renowned for its prime cuts of meat and an enticing bottomless salad deal that keeps diners coming back for more. With gluten-free options available, there's something to satisfy every palate. During my recent visit, I was treated to a culinary journey that began with warm bread accompanied by herbed butter—an inviting start!
Fantastic place to eat, they were able to accommodate our large group. The stake was very good. The sushi was surprisingly good, it was super fresh and well put together. I did not try the chocolate cake but I would have if there were any room left.

Outstanding service and excellent cuisine! Steaks & salmon were cooked perfectly! The Lexingtonian salad was superb! My daughter said she should have opted for the fries rather than the mashed potatoes, they were not as thick as she prefers. Sushi rolls were on point! Our waiter was attentive- never waiting for a drink refill and dirty plates cleared immediately! Oh, and don't forget dessert! Took it to go because we were full but reheated nicely!

Went here for our anniversary last night. My first visit to any Malone’s. I’m not used to such a nice restaurant tbh. This was a special occasion, and our sever Renee, went above and beyond to celebrate us and make us feel special. She answered questions we had about the food- I had no clue what a Lexingtonian was- but I do now, and it was fabulous. I substituted Honey Mustard dressing in place of the ranch and it was delicious. She brought out a chilled plate- which I didn’t know was a thing- made all the difference with my salad. My boyfriend’s salad came out with a hair in it, she didn’t hesitate to rectify the situation and apologized. The only negative for me was that it was very cold in the restaurant and the wait times were long. I understand that though, it’s Friday, they are busy, food takes time to cook, etc. with each course brought out, she was so kind and sweet. Taking time to check on us in between. She explained she had an assistant-I think his name was John- he was very attentive as well, even boxing up our leftovers for us. Renee gave us a free dessert since it was our anniversary. We left with many leftovers-enough for another meal. My boyfriend really enjoyed his burger and seasoned fries. I got the 10oz sirloin but couldn’t eat much of it due to filling up on other food. I’m giving this a 4.8 because of the freezing cold temperature inside the restaurant. Everything else was amazing.
PATTY M — Google review
I used to be a regular here, every week before going overseas. It was my go-to spot for quality service and great steak. But after returning and dining here 4 times in the past three months, it’s been nothing but disappointment. Not once during any of our visits did someone offer to refill our drinks. (Which I wouldn’t believe but I added a pic below to prove it) The manager used to check in, ask how everything was, and care about your dining experience. Now? Servers and assistants just stand around, ignoring empty glasses and never asking you if you want more bread. It genuinely feels like management has changed, and not for the better. I used to recommend this place to friends and family, but sadly, I wouldn’t anymore. Now it is just an overpriced Applebee’s with oak tables.

Overall, we had a wonderful visit! Our meals were delicious and the service was wonderful. We were celebrating our anniversary, and everyone that served or seated us wished us well. And, of course, we really enjoyed our complimentary sea salt chocolate chip cookie! Our booth was in the back so it was not too noisy, but we were seated beside a large party which made it a bit of a shimmy coming and going for the staff and for us. Not that big of a deal for most, but I think that could be a challenge for some people. I also had to sweep a few crumbs off my bench when we sat down, which was a little off putting, but it’s all good. They do such a wonderful job making you feel special and “at home.” For such great food and service at an exceptional value, we will definitely be back.

Malone's in Lexington at Palomar I recently had the pleasure of dining at Malone's in Lexington at Palomar, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. We were celebrating my sister's birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make it a memorable occasion. From the moment we arrived, Our waitress, Diane, was wonderful throughout the meal, setting a welcoming tone for the evening. Jenina greeted us with incredible politeness and attention, ensuring that we had everything we needed and providing excellent service. The food was absolutely delicious. Although I initially had an issue with my lobster being a bit overdone, the staff quickly rectified the situation by bringing me a perfectly cooked replacement, complete with plenty of butter and lemon. This attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction was greatly appreciated. In addition to the fantastic food, the restaurant surprised my sister with a complimentary dessert and joined us in singing "Happy Birthday," which added a special touch to our celebration. The only downside to our experience was the absence of a corkage fee, which meant we couldn't bring our own wine, and unfortunately, my favorite wine wasn't available on their wine list. However, this was a minor issue in an otherwise wonderful dining experience. Overall, Malone's at Palomar is a fantastic choice for a special occasion or a delightful meal out. The combination of excellent service, delicious food, and a warm atmosphere makes it a place I would highly recommend.

Stella's Kentucky Deli is a charming restaurant housed in a renovated Victorian home, offering a taste of the Bluegrass State. The warm and inviting interior, as well as the shaded brick patio with vibrant umbrellas, provide delightful dining spaces. Emphasizing fresh, local ingredients, the menu features comforting dishes like shrimp and grits with smoked ham and tomato Creole, and slow-roasted local pork shoulder with cheese grits and bourbon BBQ sauce.
I am wandering around Lexington, Kentucky doing the mural challenge and wanted to try the hot brown so this was the closest place to one of the mural I went to. I’m glad I stopped by. I enjoyed the hot brown especially the tomatoes in it. I love tomatoes. I also tried the bourbon ball coffee. Since it was a hot day, I opted for the iced vs hot. Just an FYI, they do charge 20% service fee to every orders.

We both got the Chorizo breakfast burritos with all the sauces on the side and his with the mayo in. It was beautiful and life changing paired with a good coffee.

GREAT atmosphere here, unfortunately, there’s not much else to love. Me and my partner stopped by while in town for a conference and we were on a bit of a time crunch. We actually came here twice, two days in a row, and were less impressed the second time around. First day we got two sandwiches- a grilled cheese and BLT with tomato soup. To be fair the food the first day was very good, but took a long time to come out- definitively longer than what’s expected for two things that you’re not really having to cook. The food wasn’t the issue this day though- it was the waitress who served us. We were very polite, communicated expectations that we were on a time crunch, and I tipped largely (on top of the mandatory already included gratuity) despite this- the waitress seemed to be in a bad mood. Either way- people have bad days. Unfortunately, when coming back the second day, there was issue after issue. The waitress was there again, still openly glaring at people, being short with customers, etc- the table next to us even mentioned it despite her not being their waitress. Like what is the issue? When we ordered food, we got another BLT and a burger- be aware that they don’t have things like sliced pickles to put onto burgers (lowkey weird but okay,) and you will get a pink in the middle burger (my order was also made wrong). We had wait time issues with the food again and ended up (after sitting for over 40 minutes) needing to leave the restaurant and get our food to go. The, again, weird thing is that they suddenly had all of our food ready to go when my partner went up to tell them we needed to leave, like it had been ready but our waiter didn’t ever come and grab it. The whole staff was a bit off when we communicated that we had the conference and just had run out of time. I will say that there was a guy wearing a hat who was super nice to us the whole time. I think this is such a cute spot and maybe we caught them on a weird week- they have some good items on the menu, but we sadly didn’t have the best experience.
India G — Google review
Love this spot! Cozy decor, friendly staff. I was worried about parking but we found a spot on the street. My dad enjoyed his “Kentucky classic Burgoo” (stew, that was a first for us, as we’re not local). Desserts looked great, but we had no room to try them. Next time I’ll be going for the chocolate bourbon pie. Note: they automatically add 20% for service, so take note of that when settling the bill. I had seen a notice posted on the wall, so I wasn’t bothered by the inclusion.
KP G — Google review
The atmosphere is cute but that was about it. The gentleman who waited on us was not knowledgeable about the food and was less than willing to serve. They charge you an automatic 20% gratuity so I guess the staff doesn’t feel a need to work for their wage. We ordered the chocolate chip pancakes which was the special and they were a very small portion size but fairly tasty. We also ordered fried green tomatoes which were terrible and the sauce I asked for cost twice as much as the tomatoes and was not disclosed until I looked at the check. The grits were nice but dry. Overall I would not recommend.

I stopped in for the burger week burger and it was delicious. 😋 I am not really a fan of hot browns but the veggie hot brown burger with more of a liquid cheese was just the inspired interpretation I was wanting. I got the side of spicy kale greens and they were almost too much vinegar for me but perfect. The spiciness was kinda addicting. I got a blackberry soda and next time I am gonna ask for double flavoring / syrup. But absolutely I would go back again.
Troy S — Google review
The sandwiches were excellent- grill cheese, reuben, and friend green tomato blt. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Quick and quaint. Prices are reasonable.

Average food. I had the hot brown. It was alright ...... It wasn't bad but I can't say it was memorable. What I was surprised by however was the 20% service charge they added to my bill without mentioning it ahead of time. I won't go back just because of that. I would suggest adjust the cost of your food. Don't hide a surcharge that you throw on after the fact and don't have enough integrity to mention ahead of time so people can make an informed decision whether they want to eat there or not. It felt slimy to me. Don't waste your time going there. There are a lot of places in Lexington that serve a better meal and are up front about what they sell their food for.

We loved their breakfast! We've gotten it twice here, once for room service, once sitting down in the restaurant! I love the feeling of the dining area. It was very welcoming, and they even had live flowers on each table! Service was also great!

This doesn’t look like 4⭐️ hotel’s restaurant. First of all, I had hair on top of my eggs!!! 🤮 the top of the pepper container was off, half of it got on the omelet. Also, the hotel’s renovating right there in the dining room. This only star goes to our server that was great and did an amazing job!
Claudia P — Google review
This was the most disgusting service I’ve ever had. We reserved a table of eight for Easter Sunday and on reservation website it never said they were having a tiny little brunch that wasn’t very good for $ 53.00 per person, according to reservations we were ordering off menu. The salmon was like rubber and the veggies were either overcooked or hard (not cooked enough) the whole experience was horrible and then they hit us with a $500+ bill. This place is a joke just because it’s in the Hilton …don’t ever go!!!!!
Ellen A — Google review
After reviewing the menu it seemed like a nice enough place. Nothing special. When we arrived we learned that the Mother's Day brunch was required and that we couldn't order from the menu. The food was mediocre catering fare at best and the desserts weren't quite unthawed. I then learned that I would be paying $52 per person at the end of the meal including for my ten year old. There are so many better places just feet away and I walked away feeling very taken advantage of. I make it a point to not leave negative reviews because every place can have a bad day but this was an intentional decision on their part. For this price I urge people to enjoy many of the other nearby fantastic places.

Turns out, this place is in the Hilton hotel. When I searched Google for brunch places in Lexington, this place popped up so we decided to check it out. We arrived around 11:20 and decided to do the breakfast buffet, which we were told ends at 12 noon. The buffet was a basic hotel breakfast. We ended up paying just shy of $50 for 2 adult breakfast buffets and 2 sodas. It certainly wasn't worth it. The staff were nice and helpful, but the food was lackluster.

Our team was in Kentucky for 3 days and looked forward to spending time every morning with the triangle grille staff. Stephon, Eleanor, Mary, and Vera really made our time pleasant. The breakfast was top notch and the service was perfect.

We (five of us) were in town overnight for a family wedding and stayed at this Hilton. Had breakfast the next morning here and it was fabulous. Food was great. Fresh. Good variety on the breakfast buffet. Very clean. But, what made it the best was the service we received from Sandy and Chef Avis! Sandy, server, was as nice as she could be. Chef Avis has been there over 33 years and you could certainly tell! Her omelets and eggs were perfection, and she was so nice. I would go back just to see both of these terrific women again! I'm from Connecticut and service up here is definitely not like the service we received at the Triangle Grill. So thank you Sandy and Chef Avis for starting our day out right!
T ( — Google review
Server and hostess were pleasant. However the gentleman running the buffet was little too be desired. He was rude and snapped at the people the whole time they were getting their food. As far as the food it was just ok. Selection was nice but the hot food selections were cold. I would not take the time to go there again.

The acclaimed chef has crafted a diverse selection that includes gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. The extensive tequila and Mezcal menu caters to agave enthusiasts. If you're looking for a good taco place look no further! My husband and I came here for an early dinner around 5:30 pm on a Friday and didn't have to wait for a table inside. There are also some tables outside. They're known for their margaritas, and I got the watermelon one on the rocks. It was delicious! We got the queso without chorizo. It was nice and thick! It could have used a little more flavor though. The chips were good but a little salty. I got smoked pork tacos which were very tasty. I got the honey jalapeno salsa on the side, which I was glad I did because it was a little hot for me. They put a lot of meat on the tacos, so I think you're getting a good deal for the price. I would come back here again!
Jessica K — Google review
This place surprised me. I was walking by, and it looked busy, so I stopped for lunch. The giveaway for a Mexican tequila bar is the tequila on the shelf. If most of it is low quality, the food is usually not good. Good tequila bars have nearly 100% additive-free tequilas on the shelf. This place has Tequila Ocho, G4, and Cazcanes, which are all excellent, but they also had a lot of low-quality tequilas full of additives. The lunch special was $20 with tax, which included chips, guacamole, rice and beans, and two street tacos. The food was really good, and the portion was solid for the price. The service was not great, but they were busy prepping the bar, so they were probably distracted. They also have their own house-made hot sauces. The flavor is good, but they are not spicy. Overall, it was really good and a bit surprising. I would stop in again.

I had a PHENOMENAL experience today at Corto y Lima. First of all, the happy hour deal was amazing. The happy hour drinks are each $5, which is a great deal for the quality of the beverages. The margarita, especially, was wonderful. I also quite enjoyed my food. I had a crunchwrap that was filling and delicious, as well as the Nachos with queso and black beans. All of this was less than $30 during the happy hour. Definitely a deal to check out! It was also very filling. I ate about 9 hours ago now, and I am still full! The decor and atmosphere of the place is also lovely. Very peaceful and earthy, but bright and open! I spent some time reading and relaxing, and it was perfect! My server, Alex, was wonderful, helpful, kind, and made me feel very welcomed! I really enjoyed Corto y Lima and I can definitely understand why I continue to see it recommended as a great Lexington dining option!

We dined at Corto Lima Saturday, 8/16/2025 and had yet another great experience!! We started with cocktails and had the chips with guacamole and queso (split order), then had the tamales and Chicken Chicharron and Crispy Shrimp Tacos. She had a peach margarita and I had a mojito then habanero peach margarita. We love the atmosphere and the staff are consistently SPECTACULAR!! Mads (Madison), our waiter, recommended the hot sauce with champagne base and it was so good I couldn't stop using it on my food despite tearing so much it looked like I was crying!! We can't wait to go back; small plates are FUN PLATES!!

This place was suggested by a colleague and sure enough it was in the top places that Yelp recommended as well. It is located in downtown and right on the corner. Inside is well arranged and has a nice ambiance! The food was good but what stood out was the margaritas!! Our waiter said they were #1 in town for Margaritas and that definitely felt right once we tasted ours. Their Guacamole was fresh and tasty. I think the best way to go is to order Tacos. We loved Falafel tacos, Machette Quesadilla was great in presentation but OK in taste. Peruvian chicken was flavorful and a large portion too. Overall service was kind of OK. When we asked for our 2nd Margarita they got busy and I guess the waiter made it and it wasn’t as great as the first one. Hope they will not cut corners to get by busy times like this.

I LOVE the donuts at this place! My favorite are the plain glazed. They’re all very unique to this place and thick, so very filling. The coffee is good too. Everything is affordable, the inside is a vibe, and the service is 10/10. The parking is accessible with street and 2 actual parking lots too.

Great coffee and donuts, I've been coming here for years as an occasional treat and to spend some time getting remote work done. The coffee specials are always fun but definitely on the sweeter side if that's your thing. They've recently started roasting their own beans in house too and so far I'm really liking their offerings there! Great atmosphere too, plenty of seating between the area in the coffee shop itself and the rest of Greyline, and overall good vibes.

Pretty nice place to relax, have business meetings or catch a nice horse event. The staff were wonderful with us and I appreciate all their work. The rooms were nice but I was a bit confused on how to turn on the room AC. I think it was controlled by the maintenance staff and not each room individually. I would turn off the fan and had no such luck with the AC. It was a minor thing- I only slept in the room.

We had breakfast at the Rackhouse Tavern. The best part of breakfast was the orange juice. The pancakes were basic. The fruit was average. The scrambled eggs tasted like powders eggs. Sourdough toast was good. The restaurant is a beautiful space with inside and outside seating. The service was great.

We were staying at the Campbell House and had two $15 voucher for breakfast as special from hotel. A pretty small breakfast menu. This is the first and last time that I will dine here. We had a party of 10 for a birthday celebration. The atmosphere was nice, place was clean. All the drinks were good except the tea, which was very weak and watered down. Service was lackluster and the food horrible! Ordered chicken and waffles, the chicken was burnt and looked old and dry, also cold. The butter wouldn’t melt on the waffles, everything on the plate was cold. We had a hot brown with turkey only as the meat and it was served with no meat at all and was cold. My Rackhouse burger was very bland and dry and the fries so salty I couldn’t eat them and also cold. The chicken and pasta was bland and cold. My niece never received her meal! The server kept disappearing and didn’t ask if we needed refills or anything. We had about 5 meals that were not edible and although we were compensated for those, this experience ruined the celebration and we will not return.

I ordered a hot brown up to my room at the Campbell House and thought it was good. However, the food was a bit too salty for my taste. In fairness, the food would likely be better served fresh in the dining room.

I’ve never left a review before but this was the most mid food I’ve had at a restaurant. I tried to pierce the fries with a fork and literally couldn’t because they were so hard and dry. My steak was straight up raw on the inside but somehow tasted burnt. My husband’s burger was so dry he had to drink water after each bite. I’m really not trying to be shady lol but I just recommend not eating here. At least we can take the steak home and cook it ourselves. I would’ve rather hit up the Arby’s across the street.

The best service I've ever gotten in a restaurant hands down! Food is fantastic and they are very accommodating. I was able to order off menu for my food allergy, not only that but the person cooking it came out to help me decide. Bonus they have multiple non alcoholic options and our server/bartender made a mocktail for us. We will be returning before our trip here ends!

Keeneland Track Kitchen is a beloved spot at the race track known for its delicious Southern food. Visitors can enjoy a hearty breakfast of grits, scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, and biscuits before heading to watch the Thoroughbreds' morning workout. The cafeteria offers a variety of tasty options including breakfast sandwiches, sweet tea, and mouthwatering banana pudding. Despite its unassuming appearance, the kitchen provides top-notch service and generous portions at reasonable prices.
Hidden Gem alert!! First off- the prices are an incredible value. My son and I stopped by early to watch the horses train and stumbled across this amazing place. The staff are so friendly and the food is exactly what you want on a crisp spring morning. They are here to provide food for the many folks of Keenland, but we were welcomed and felt right at home dining. If you are a horse aficionado or just a novice the restaurant had picture of horses and jockeys scattered on the walls and a rich history of Keenland. Don't let the nice price fool ya...this is southern cooking at its finest!!

3/11/25 My friend and I visited Keeneland to explore their seasonal job fair and decided to stop here for lunch afterward. It was my first time, though I’d heard great things, so we tried the lunch special: roasted chicken with wild rice, steamed vegetables, and a bread roll. Everything was delicious, and the portions were generous—I even had enough to take home and share with my husband. For dessert, I had the bread pudding, which my friend swore was the best around, and she was absolutely right! While the setting is more cafeteria-style, the food is outstanding—hearty, flavorful, and reasonably priced. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for some wholesome Southern cooking!

We went to this restaurant for my husband's birthday and was very excited. The food is soooo good. Service however was less than desired. We had a party of 10. We ordered and the waitress brought drinks but forgot the alcohol orders. Once food was brought out we asked about our drinks. The waitress apologized then walked away. We thought she was going to get the drinks but she didn't come back for another 10 mins. We asked about the drinks and she said sorry again and finally got them. 2 people in our group ordered the taco salad and both people stated the shell had a funny taste to it. The waitress offered to redo the plates but everything was taking so slow they declined and ate just the inside of the taco salad. Food was great as always. The restaurant automatically adds large party tip to each of the bills. We wanted to pay to be the one to tip not everyone attending the party. However the manager said he was unable to remove the extra added tip from each bill. I then had to cash app each person. That was an inconvenience. Again love the food!

I just moved here a week ago and there's no need to look any further, I've found my go to Mexican restaurant. As I was taking my first bites of the Enchiladas Mole, nodding my head because I was thinking this might be the best mole I've ever had, the owner stopped by and said, "That's the best mole." And then he brought me a sample of his Chilaquiles! He told me about the recipes and how they're from his family handed down. Both dishes were authentic and packed with flavor. I will be back, without hesitation.

Loved this place but recently picked up dinner for myself and when I arrived the front/host insisted they could not give me the drink that I paid for. I wouldve completely understood if they were out or something but they said what I said for was less than the drink advertised. I was super confused because the only drink on the entire website is under kids beverages and I choose out of the list provided. It was even on my receipt and they still would not give me my Jarritos. It was really just unconvient at first but what really bothered me was how rude they were, especially in Spanish when they thought I couldnt understand them. I use to really recommend because I love their food but this was really a poor experience.

If you want Mexican food 🌮 this place is for you😋! the service is great 👍🏻 and there are fish 🐠 . There is Kids food if you’re kid doesn’t like Mexican food they have American food

We found this place by Google. The food was good, the rice wasn't spicy but it came with veggies in it so my kids didn't like that. I was disappointed by the host when we first came in. He was very rude and acted like we had ruined his night by coming in. He expressed to me that we had to hurry because the kitchen was closing in 15 minutes. I knew that, and had already decided what we was all getting, but his attitude was just nasty. Now, our server she was absolutely amazing. Made sure to tell us multiple times to take our time and was the sweetest person. We probably wouldn't be back.

Tolly-Ho is a beloved 24-hour burger and breakfast spot near the University of Kentucky. Despite its relocation from the university campus, it remains a popular hangout for students, evident in its display of sorority and fraternity memorabilia. The menu offers hearty breakfast options at any time, signature quarter pounder burgers, and classic American favorites.
The food was fantastic! A plus for me is that it's only a mile from the UK Hospital, and there's plenty of room in the parking lot to park and ambulance. This isn't my usual service area, so it was great to find a place to eat before the long drive back to our district.

I went here and it was all reasonably priced. The food was quite bland and mediocre at best. The gravy was powdered. The staff were unhygienic and monotone. They did NOT hold their hair back with a hairnet. Also, it is more self serve because you walk up to the counter, order, pick your table, wait and get your food, and get your own silverware.

I just got takeout but this is a good joint for sure. I got the small cheeseburger (which was very nice for the price, and I got a good amount of onions on it). The loaded hash browns absolutely sent me into flavortown with the chili; it was an absolutely delightful messy excursion. The strawberry shake was good but definitely overpriced. All in all, worth the trip for a quick lunch. The drive thru worker was very kind and efficient; no comment on the general atmosphere of the place as I did not venture inside.

A great 24-hour diner and Lexington tradition. Food always good whether you go at 2p or 2a. Breakfast items are especially good, with fair prices and huge portions. Definitely a go-to whenever I am in Lexington.

I was suggested this place after my brother once entered wasted at 1am. When I entered it was 10 am and I was not wasted- but that Ho burger is genuinely a solid burger Moist bun, not under or overcooked patties with solid American cheese. Better than the ones I made at home for sure! (my brother thought it was gods gift to man at the time) If you have extra bucks for a fresh burger and would rather not go to cook out genuinely Tolly-ho is a solid choice.
Jeremyah C — Google review
Awful. Waited 30 minutes for food. Tally ho burger was terrible. They forgot half my order even AFTER asking me what sauce I wanted wish my hash browns. Stood at the counter 5 minutes trying to get a to go box. Lady ignored me and kept putting up food. Guy beside me said he told them 3 times only cheese on his hamburger and they put everything on it. Don’t care it’s a Lexington staple. I’m from out of town and unbiased. This place is terrible. Don’t eat here. Go to takeout up the street.

I originally planned to go to Cook Out since Google showed they were open, but they ended up being closed — and honestly, I’m glad they were! I headed over to Tolly Ho instead, and it turned out to be a great decision. The cashier Rat, who answered the phone and handled my order was fantastic — super friendly and efficient. Awesome customer service all around. Keep up the great work, Tolly Ho! Wishing your team a Sunday full of positivity and motivation!

Sedona Taphouse is a delightful dining destination that truly shines in its service and atmosphere. Guests rave about the attentive staff, like Brenna and MacKenzie, who go above and beyond to ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience. The menu offers a variety of options without being overwhelming, making it easy for diners with dietary restrictions to find something delicious.
Oh. My. Goodness. The food and service was amazing!!! They know how to cook their chicken and seafood! Really looking forward to trying their other dishes! Everything we got tasted amazing, and the portions are great! Me and my group went on a Sunday, where they have an excellent Sunday food bundle, for a lack of a better term. It is only with select food items they have on menu, and it's all wonderful choices! You get a choice of a soup or house salad, an entree, and a dessert. I personally got the soup of the day which was a cream clam chowder. Amazing. I also got the Devil's Pass pasta. Spectacular. And to end it, their New York style Cheese cake. It has no business being that soft, creamy, and delectable. The decor and the atmosphere was warm and not too dark, with a lot of thought and care put in it. We also had the greatest server ever, named Ed! Ed , Ed, Ed, Ed. He is very knowledgeable, funny, attentive, and great at his job! He definitely made the dining experience that much more special! Personally, I think it is an excellent place for a date, time out with family and/or friends, and just to take yourself because the food and service are just that good!

We went in to Sedona a little earlier evening on night we had dinner there. When we walked in the restaurant I noticed that it is very nicely designed right off the bat.The food there was actually very tasty and with it's own flair on things. Which is always a nice touch to be original. The service was slow especially for the time of evening it was. But other than that it was a wonderful experience.

5/18/25 My husband and I ordered Sedona Taphouse for the first time. I’ve been here a few times before and loved my past experiences. Today, we ordered the Canyon Nachos with pork, honestly, they were a little soggy probably from the ride home, but still flavorful and good enough that we finished every bite. Most likely best enjoyed fresh in the restaurant. The Crab Cake Sliders with truffle fries were delicious, there is an $4.50 up charge for them but they’re worth it. The real standout was the Beet and Goat Cheese Salad—absolutely amazing! The dressing was so good I wish I had extra to bottle up and take home. The food was ready to go when I arrived, and the ambiance was just as I remembered it, nice and clean. Overall, I was really impressed. The food was great, even as takeout, so we’re definitely planning to go back and dine in next time!

Great service, food, and cocktails. I got a prickly pear margarita and it was so good. The kids menu had good options (just wish there was a burger option), their chicken was so tender and the breading was delicious. The Kobe beef sliders were very tasty and the truffle fries were on point (it's a small appetizer, perfect for two). Their sangrias are great and it's worth getting their growlers of them to take home. Their lemon cake was a special and it was also delicious. Great meal. Went back for a lunch date with my husband and we both enjoyed every bit of it. The goat cheese and tomato jam bruschetta was especially amazing! He upgraded his side of fries to truffle fries, which are one of my favorite things on their menu.

This is the only place we dine for dinner while in Lexington. The managers Eric and Jackie are phenomenal and very personable. Don't let the name "Taphouse" fool you. Yes, they have spectacular drinks but the food is on par with some high end restaurants in Lexington. I highly recommend this restaurant. The goat cheese and beet salad is out of this world. The truffle fries are our Go-to appetizer! You have to try them for yourself!

We have always had excellent food at Sedona Palomar. We arrived on a Friday night at 8 pm, expecting to wait due to the time of evening and the full parking. We were seated right away, but still expected a wait for ordering. Dani was THE BEST! She promptly took our order for drinks, appetizer and meals, and immediately returned with the drinks. The appetizer arrived shortly thereafter, piping hot and delicious! She returned within 10 minutes or so with our meal, and asked if she could go ahead and box up the remaining appetizer. Our meals were wonderful, per usual, and our drinks were never empty. Dani truly made this one of the most pleasurable dining experiences by being so prompt and efficient. Thank you, Dani!

Zim's Cafe is a charming eatery in downtown Lexington, known for its relaxed atmosphere and focus on regional southern cuisine. Founded by the esteemed chef Ouita Michel, this beloved cafe offers a taste of home-cooked comfort food with a menu inspired by traditional Kentucky flavors. The cafe features retro-style surroundings and showcases local artists, adding to its welcoming ambiance.
Good Southern style choices, (catfish, shrimp and grits) Nice selection of desserts 😋 The dipping sauce for the catfish and hush puppies was delicious. Probably just a personal pet peeve but I don't like thin, string (McDonald's) style fries. They do not retain heat... Not big enough to season. I prefer a bigger cut or wedges. NOTE: the cafe is located inside the Old Courthouse. Easily missed! While there, you should stop by the visitor center; also located inside the courthouse

Experience/Environment: This place is so cute inside. From the decor in the dinning rooms to the little pastry/market. Only annoyance was looking for the entrance. It’s inside like and old courthouse or something so depending on what side of the building you’re coming from, you might have to walk around. It was dark and snowy out, so dress and plan accordingly lol. Price: A little pricey bc the hipster the factor maybe? The cookie/pastry shop was a cool convenience tho. Food: Sooo. As greedy as I am lol. I tend to order more than I can eat. So now I limit myself to 2 entrees of if I really can’t decide. First entree: green beans and fries were good, the catfish was not. Second: shrimp and grits…poppppin. Shrimp was good, grits were good, greens were good, onion ring was good. Just get it. Service: Cassie I believe her name was.. might need to check the spelling tho. Full disclosure, I went in January and just not realizing I haven’t done the review. NTT [[Next Time Try]]: Ima go ahead and stick with the shrimp and grits Thank me later ;) Smile, eat, hydrate. Live honest and don’t settle. Hope to see you out there!

Although it’s not my first time here I’ve never made a review so I came with a friend for lunch. Wish I got more/better pictures. My friend got dessert which she loved and I got fried pickles and the blackened catfish came with rice onions and tomato based sauce. It was just ok now both times I’ve been here. The fried pickles were probably the best. It was just myself and one other table but service was a little slow. It’s in a great spot downtown with outdoor and indoor seating.

Atmosphere was neat with custom art sculptures. The food was mixed with sone beimg unige and delicious, the others pretty basic fare. The service was not great. It was acceptable but one server was rude. I'd probably not eat there again but we tried it. It's okay.

Awesome! The waitress was perfect! The food was cooked perfect. The rib eye was delicious, as well as the cheeseburger and fries. If you love the Windy Corner, you'll love it in the city! The chocolate cake and the lemon bar we're both awesome and pairs well with a great black cup of coffee! I highly recommend and we'll be back!
Jimmy H — Google review
The food was about worth what I paid for it! I got a salad and some chili. It filled me up for the day and I liked it, but it wasn’t anything too amazing. I left a bit of each. I was pretty disappointed with the service. I came during a very slow time for a quick lunch bite. I had 1.5 hr for my lunch break (4 min. walk away) and I was so stressed the whole time. I kept looking to my server and trying to be helped, but he would walk away again. I asked for my check, and he didn’t come back for my card for over ten minutes, even though there were only 3 other tables in the section. I wouldn’t have been upset, but it continued to happen the whole time, beginning with me feeling judged for asking a question about the salad. I just felt awkward and like I was bothering my server by being there. I probably won’t go back. It was fine for what I paid, but so far, it is my least favorite spot I’ve visited since coming to Lexington.

This quaint bistro has been around for a while and is well-known in the Lexington area for its delicious food and inviting atmosphere. The wait can be a bit long, but it's definitely worth it! The food is fantastic, and the staff are welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend checking out Bronte Bistro if you're looking for a great brunch spot without having to wait too long!
Cool bistro inside the Joseph-Beth bookstore. The staff was awesome. Nice views of the park and poole. Had the Kentucky Brown. Large portion and is enough for two meals. Their system calculates the tip before tax, which is a nice touch. Recommend

Our server was kind, and that's about the end of the positive experiences. My wife's breakfast sausage was like a 1/6 inch shaving off a hockey puck. Cold hashbrown casserole. Table behind us complained about food quality as well. You'll think to yourself, cute spot over there let's get brunch! Try somewhere else.

Always a pleasure dining in at Bronte Bistro. However, in today's service I noticed I was charged an automatic 20% gratuity AND my receipt was still asking me to tip out. I'm sorry but I don't think that is okay. Gratuity cannot be enforced on customers and still be asked to tip out. I'm unsure where the gratuity fee is being used, hopefully it goes straight back to the employees. Outside of this, food was good as always. Photo is their Kentucky Hot Brown and their crab cakes. I always order the app crab cakes and the entree and combine them so I can have 5 instead of 3. Yes, they are yummy so 3 or 2 just ain't enough. 😂

Glad I finally made it for brunch. I ordered a ham, cheese and onion quiche. It came with breakfast potatoes and fruit. The quiche portion was quite large and was so good. Loved the buttery crust and the perfectly cooked cheesy egg. They also provided a lot of perfect potatoes. Crispy outside, soft inside and a very nice seasoning. This was an excellent meal for the price. As for the service, it was ok. Our waitress was attentive at the beginning but then seemed to get overextended as she was the only one able to do the bartending. So it took a while to get the check.

Minton's is a small restaurant that offers a diverse menu featuring omelettes, burgers, and other classic dishes alongside seasonal pancakes. The establishment caters to vegetarians and vegans with options like huevos rancheros, Elvis Pancakes, and sweet potato hash. Customers praise the wide selection of pancakes, waffles, and French toast. The cozy ambiance and delicious food make it a great spot for brunch or lunch. Visitors can enjoy their meals on the patio in good weather.
I have been to the old Minton's a few times and wanted to check out their new location on National. Grabbed my daughter (her first time) and had some lunch! We ordered the Brunch on a Bun and some Pancakes with cinnamon roll icing on top along with Applewood bacon and a coffee (French Press). All new foods vs. what I have tried at Minton's before. FANTASTIC! The new location is a huge upgrade for space so much easier to enjoy a more private feeling meal and of course the service was also great. Assuming it's the owner that was our server, he has been my server every time I have gone at either location.

Very busy when we arrived. We're seated at the counter right away, otherwise a 30 minute wait. Sat at the counter for 15 minutes until we asked the nice girl who seated us, who was supposed to serve us? As there were many people running around. Ten minutes later our server came to take our order. He gave us a choice of coffee or French press. David chose the French press, i ordered ice tea not sweet. David's coffee order arrived, but he had no coffee cup to pour his french press in. We asked for a coffee cup from one of the employees stocking supplies behind the counter.. My tea was ice water with a little color of tea. When I could get our servers attention, as he was extremely busy, we asked if they could just warm the Coffee in a microwave as David had already added his cream and sugar. (His French press was cold) He said he would bring another french press set up.. So instead of bringing a French press, he brought a regular cup of very hot coffee. No worries, we are easy going. After a very long wait, our food arrived. By this time I was out of tea and didn't ask for a refill. It would have been nice to have a drink with my meal. David said his biscuit and Gravy were good. I can't say the same about my chicken and Waffle. Very small amount of syrup poured over the Waffle. No extra brought with the order. The chicken was in bite size over the Waffle which didn't have any flavor and looked really dark, like over cooked. My order was okay. I guess I just expect something really tasty for $18. Over all, our experience was okay. As an older person, I think this place is more for the much younger crowd. As there were 3 tables with college age and 30ish something that seemed to think they had to talk as loud as they could to talk over each other. Noise level was off the chart. I wish this establishment all the success in this business.

I went to Minton’s on a random Wednesday morning for brunch. There weren’t much people, because it was a random Wednesday obviously. The server was very friendly and we got seated pretty quickly. I got bottomless drip coffee on their hand made cute coffee cup. I got chorizo tacos with a side salad. It usually comes with Tater Tots but I substituted it for side salad (the least I can do to eat healthy lol). My wife got Tiramisu pancake and scrambled eggs. Overall, a good brunch afternoon!

Worth every penny, absolutely delicious, and generous portions, especially considering the quality of food. Definitely try the savory french toast or tropical french toast. 10/10 Pesto and 10/10 mango cream and 10/10 (what seems like) hand whipped cream. So the food and the experience was not good. The overpriced quesadilla came out burnt, chopped up, and just a nasty mess. $17 for something that is just seasonless. Then the Philly with fries comes out. The sandwich was terrible, all you could taste was wine and garlic, I mean it was one of the worse Philly steaks I have ever had. The server came out and offers aoili to someone that was with me, I asked if it was available to all of us, he said yes. Little did I knoe, I'd be paying nearly $8 for a very small amount of sauce in 7 or 8 cups. We asked for straws, never got em, didnt have anything for "to go" (yet a door dasher picked up food while we were there it looked like). So rather than leave $5 for my tip, I left $1 but I had another one that was with me also leave $7. So, for $90 worth of food, the server that did not do right and overcharged us still received an $8 tip. We leave and they yell out the door at one that was with me and called him a curseword (they better be glad I was already at the vehicle), just so happened, the one they cussed at was the one that left $7 for terrible service at a rough hole-in-the-wall with terrible food. You've been warned. Update: The fact that they have the audacity to lie in a smart alec review after serving nasty food (and, by the way, never getting more than my initial soda pop. A teenager got a refill and another guest got a refill, that was it. Also, the picture of their nasty quesadilla was NOT touched by us when the picture was first taken. It is our custom to take pictures of food at places we visit for the first time and we have been doing that since 2016). The other guest did NOT eat their Philly because it was disgusting (his words). He tried to eat the meat. I guess we should've took a picture of the table before leaving because, wow, what a deceptive response! And yes, they did offer a to go box to 2 of us before leaving and we said no. We weren't rude and did not complain about the service. The very rude cursing they did to the other guest, using the "b" word and mocking the flag on his shirt in front of the 17 year old and 11 year old was the only initial reason why I had come to leave the review and shine a light on things. Now, after the rude and deceptive reply, I will explain things in further detail. The place was also not clean. When was the last time the pillows were cleaned? When you literally have 2 people drinking at a bar and no other customers, how hard is it to follow thru on 1 table? And who throws cloves of garlic on a Philly and doesn't chop it fine? And that Philly is just nasty. Arby's Philly is far superior and that's a fast food joint and (I dont care much about theirs). After looking at some other reviews and some social media, it looks like this isn't an isolated incident either. Maybe they will step up so that way there aren't other issues with others and they'll make is look like liars. Whatever it takes, I suppose. If they would've just apologized and made things right for how they treated him, I would've deleted the review and hoped that no one else would be treated like that. With them lying and justifying, they are definitely not looking to do right by customers. So the warning is there for whoever is reading and deciding whether to eat there or not.

The menu looked terrific, the servers were so nice, and we were excited to order. Unfortunately, the chef is so precious here that they will not even serve their hamburger unless it is served exactly as listed in the menu. I asked for mine without ketchup and mustard and was told no. We left.

If you haven’t tried this place you absolutely should!! Everything is made from scratch with fresh ingredients. The pork and chicken tacos are insanely delicious. Zero complaints.

Will definitely be back. I would give every aspects a 5/5 stars but the brussel sprouts- although amazing, were a little undercooked (just being honest). I ordered two drinks, first one was great (Watermellon Jalapeño Mijito) and the second one was a Love Light, in my opinion it was a little too sour and alcoholly. I ordered a Big Freeda’s Mule to replace it which was amazing but my Love Light was still on my bill. I can see both sides of that story but I think it would’ve been nice to have that removed off of my bill considering I had ordered an entire meal and appetizer (noli burger & brussel sprouts salad- both items delicious). 🤷‍♀️ IDK, that’s why only 4/5 stars in service. But I would still highly recommend this place! So good!

I could eat an entire plate myself. I got the tacos and they were amazing. The blueberry compote was just amazing The steak salad looked amazing and I was told it was. The breakfast was delicious and my son ate it all. This is a repeat.

Surprising and unique spot for dinner. This was just around the corner from my hotel and my weakness is tacos, so I gave it a try. Unbelievably friendly young hostess had a gleam in her eye describing the tacos when I asked so I decided to sit at the bar and try. Yum! Full of flavor and the “unusual” part (blueberry compote) really added to the overall flavor and texture of the taco. I also didn’t expect the shell to be deep fried. But as the frying seemed so light you could still fold it and eat it with your hands. And…they dusted it lightly with some large grain sea salt. Wow. Really different and creative. And it worked. Stellar. Bartender was quick, super friendly and responsive. Can’t enough good things about this place. Loved the local and creative vibe as well. Instead of simply sports on the TV they were showing a live feed of a Fish concert. Management must do a great job here because employees genuinely seem happy to be there.

My favorite thing about Minglewood is the extra spicy owner. Her sauce is sassy and she ain't afraid to throw some Trish with your dish. If you're too dainty and delicate for the real deal, stick to fast food. 😘

ItalX, located on Main Street, offers an elegant dining experience with its contemporary Italian cuisine and extensive wine selection. The restaurant is perfect for special occasions or a romantic evening out. Their menu features delectable dishes such as Chicken Saltimbocca and Gemelli Bolognese, showcasing authentic Italian flavors. Part of a group of 38 local restaurants, ItalX stands out as a newcomer in the downtown area.
An exquisite dining experience for sure. The food was made on site including the pasta. The atmosphere was a true memory maker. And the staff had customer service in their DNA. You must give this restaurant a try. I couldn't recommend any specific item because everything we had was perfect.

We visited Italx for the first time, for our Anniversary a few weeks ago. I have to say the Atmosphere was so relaxing and upscale. The server that took care of us was on top of everything and bravo to him. However, the food was less than stellar for a restaurant of this caliber. We ordered the Focaccia with whipped Ricotta. So delicious! It’s a must. My Spaghetti Carbonara was good, just drop the anchovies on top. My husband’s lasagna was burnt on top and colder than it should have been. Also, there was layering inconsistency. I mean, if you can’t get a lasagna right. 🫣 For dessert the Tiramisu…..Dry! It’s lady fingers soaked in Espresso. The Cocoa powder on top was way too much. A light coating is all that’s needed. I love making this, an Italian taught me.

Our evening began with a heartfelt and warm welcome by the maître D Christopher. He showed us to our seats per our reservation and when asked gave me his best recommendations for a wonderful meal. My wife and I heated his advice and were glad we did. The dishes were exquisite. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was energetic. 10 out of 10 recommend for a wonderful evening in downtown Lexington.

Lovely meal I had the lasagna. It was perfect. My wife had some pasta with chicken that I can’t pronounce again. It was great but we drove four hours to get the amaretto sour. Their bartender is on point.

Absolutely incredible food. Likely some of the best Italian I've had in a long time. Add to the fact the pasta was freshly made! It was perfectly spicy with a wonderful amount of sauce. The cheesecake was gluten free so it had an odd texture but was still delicious. The whip cream on it though, THAT was beyond amazing. Soft, fluffy wonderful delight. Lastly, the fig old fashioned was refreshing and fun. The menu changed since last time but dinner was just as incredible. I promise you'll not be disappointed.

Amazing menu and food. Service was good, but they had a tough time with our very large party. Wine wasn't heavily stocked.
Ryan M — Google review
This restaurant is so sexy! Another outing with my Mom. The doors open to extend the room to the outside. Right on the corner and you can look in all directions from the big floor to ceiling windows. The menu offers many authentic Italian food selections. The wine wall is gorgeous! We will be back to try other options on the menu. The bruschetta appetizer offered several toppings that were Umami! All food was exceptional!!!
Rachael C — Google review
I was not impressed with the food. I barely ate half of what I ordered, and felt bloated after. I didn’t eat any appetizers and only had one drink. Service was excellent, prompt and professional. The dining area was nice except the door was left open prompting my party to fend off house flies our entire meal.

Martine's Pastries is a charming bakery located in a serene residential area near downtown Lexington. This popular establishment is celebrated for its exquisite French pastries, cookies, and custom special-occasion cakes. The owner and baker, Martine Holzman, is highly regarded for her exceptional creations and personalized service. The bakery has been featured in prestigious publications such as Martha Stewart's Real Weddings and Kentucky Bride.
We had Martine's make an design the cake for our wedding. We customized it with lemon cake with apricot filling. It was absolutely PERFECTTT for our wedding theme and was refreshing for this spring day!!! They were an absolute pleasure to work with and was very patient with all my questions and concerns-- particularly since we did not have a wedding planner and were needing extra hands for getting things figured out. We reserved the cake for just us, bride and groom, but we did have some people sneek a bite.
Estefania B — Google review
I’ve been a fan of Martine’s Pastries for ages, but I’ve never been inside their bakery until today. And let me tell you, it was a total treat! There were so many delicious pastries to choose from, I couldn’t decide what to get. I ended up grabbing three for myself and my friend got two. Everything tasted amazing! My friend got a chai latte, but it wasn’t my favorite flavor.
Maggie H — Google review
Generally speaking, Martine's is an adorable bakery with so many delicious items. My husband and I chose to have our wedding cake made by this bakery. Chelsea, the cake designer, is very sweet, helpful and patient. Our cake tasting visit was fun and it was a treat to be tasting various flavors of their cakes. We purchased a 3-tier and the 2 flavors were the chocolate with chocolate filling + yellow cake with raspberry filling; buttercream icing. These were delicious but so were many other flavor options including the lemon blueberry. Cake stand rented from them. The finished product was exactly what we wanted and we loved it. The only "negative" was that the box they sent for the top tier was too small (short) for the box to shut all the way with the cake in it, but this wasn't a big deal and we made it work! We ended up going ahead and eating the top tier so that we have an excuse to order cake again from them for our 1 year anniversary :) Strongly recommend this bakery for their wedding cakes (and other goodies).

I enjoyed my entire experience. Went for breakfast and ordered a croissant and a quiche. Excellent black coffee too. It was quiet sitting on the second floor. Everything looked appetizing.

They made us two cakes for my son’s recent wedding, one of which was their famous pistachio cake. Both were outstanding. Thank you, Martine’s.

I so wanted to love this place, as all the reviews are outstanding and I’ve heard so many good things. Unfortunately I have tried it twice and was disappointed both times. On my last visit I got: An apple turnover (easy right?) no. It was filled with APPLE SAUCE. I’m sorry but that’s just wrong in my opinion. A creme brûlée croissant (I really expected to love this because I love creme brûlée & custard type things) unfortunately the filling had a super weird aftertaste to it. The croissant itself was very good but the filling ruined it. A pumpkin pie pastry thing (this is probably a personal preference thing- it just wasn’t my favorite) A caramel apple muffin - this was fine, but honestly nothing special for an expensive muffin Overall- if you try this place maybe stick to the more basic pastries as it seems that the pastry (bread part) is good, soft and flaky but as far as special flavors and fillings they cut corners and it’s sub-par.
Anna S — Google review
The food is great for lunch breakfast or a snack. Good coffee. Amazing pastries!. The owner is a very sweet gracious lady who personally cared for us after a last minute catering order backed up the in person service. Very classy. Coming from a hard to please Chicagoan!

I'm an extremely lucky person to live within a block of this wonderful establishment! Everything is top notch and the staff is always friendly! Quality takes time. Do expect a small wait during busy times or when ordering something hot. I don't mind, as it gives me a moment to browse the shop or the art gallery upstairs. :) My personal recommendation is the almond croissant, though you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Hardee’s is a fast-food chain known for its fried chicken, big burgers, and made-from-scratch breakfast biscuits. The restaurant was inspired by the founder's visit to McDonald's in 1960 and has since expanded to over 1,800 locations across the U.S. Despite occasional long lines at the drive-thru, customers appreciate the freshly made and hot food. Some have noted that Hardee’s is not usually very busy, providing quick service and tasty meals.
I usually place order online and go pick up. It's usually always ready and nice and fresh. I love that they serve breakfast until noon. That's my favorite meal of the day.
Samantha ( — Google review
Well after going to Richmond rd and they are closed but have lights on like they are open, figured let’s try New Circle rd, and after being told they only had three tenders and no sweet tea, should have known better. The chicken was not three pieces. It was a bunch of leftover chicken that had been there the entire day, and was so hard that I could not eat it. You can see the pictures in the review. The food that was made correctly was tasteless like the burgers and the fries were just as bad as the chicken so I gave One star just because you have to give them some star, but I thought that food was about as bad as you could get anywhere in town ever.

I was really surprised by how good the food was. It's been a while since I been to Hardee's so I was a bit reluctant to try their food again. The chicken tenders are really good and the curly fries are excellent. They might even be better than Arby's curly fries. The service was phenomenal. The lady who took care of us (I wish I could remember her name) was so nice and sweet. If I am ever in Lexington again, I will definitely return to this Hardee's.

Got the blueberry biscuit....it was hard and had very little icing so I can't recommend it. Service was slow, took 7 minutes to get the two blueberry biscuits. Hardee's cinnamon raisin biscuits used to be really good 10-15 years ago but it seems Hardee's just isn't as good as they used to be

Nestled in the heart of Lexington, KY, Bella Cafe and Grille at Chevy Chase is a delightful destination for those seeking an upscale yet cozy dining experience. Known for its commitment to fresh, local ingredients, diners rave about their vibrant salads featuring perfectly cooked hard-boiled eggs and crispy chicken. The café's inviting ambiance makes it perfect for lunch dates or family outings.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE this place. We were a party of 6 and came in without a reservation but the wonderful and kind hostess worked hard to accommodate us. Service was friendly and the food was tasty. I enjoyed grilled salmon on a salad. Salmon was cooked to perfection. Everyone enjoyed their meals.
Virginia H — Google review
One thing I prefer in a dining experience is the idea of being local. Original. Unique fare, atmosphere, and high quality. And delicious. This place ticks off the entire list. Sure, there were these tiny exceptions (the waffles weren’t piping hot, and the poached egg was about a half-minute too done) but the overall experience was excellent! Having had brunch at some of the most famous places in the world, I would say none surpassed Bella Grill.
Kevin S — Google review
I’ve been to Bella for brunch and dinner, and let me tell you, brunch was an absolute blast! The food was to die for! But dinner, well, it wasn’t quite as magical. The staff was super friendly and they were quick to get us a table, even though we didn’t have a reservation. They were really on top of things! So, our server was a bit preoccupied, you know how it is sometimes. He mentioned that they only had one chicken left and gave us a bit of time to consider switching it with something else. About 15 minutes later, he came back to take our order. Now, I’d recommend making a reservation in advance if you’re planning to go. Otherwise, you might end up waiting for an hour or so. As for the food, here are my thoughts: - The summer corn side dish wasn’t super flavorful, and my chicken was a bit dry. - The brussel sprouts were absolutely delicious, they’re very sweet. - My friend ordered a medium burger and it came out more medium rare. - The pork chops didn’t really stand out to me either. If you’re looking for a cute brunch place with a nice atmosphere for a meal with friends, I highly recommend Bella Cafe!
Maggie H — Google review
We liked this place a lot and we'll be coming for brunch again. If this is your first visit, keep in mind you will need a reservation for a party larger than 2. Otherwise you will likely to find the seating at the bar or a few high tables for 2. Let's start with what's great about this place. The atmosphere, the decor, and furniture are well selected and work together nicely. The idea of a breakfast with an entree, a drink and a buffet of baked goodies with juice for $25 is brilliant. The variety of delicious freshly baked items is great! I believe if you are not hungry for a a brunch entree you can get the whole deal for $16. Both options worth every penny! Absolutely no wonder why this place is so popular. Now there has been a bit of a letdown too, the eggs Benedict were missing the creamyness due to the incorrectly poached egg, as well as rather little splash of hollandaise sauce. Overall it's a nice place and we'll be back to may be try their brunch cocktails! Tip: There is actually a lot of parking on a nearby plaza, right around the corner.

We had such an incredible dining experience here! We ordered the steak, halibut, and brussels sprouts, and everything was absolutely outstanding. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. The halibut was light, fresh, and seasoned beautifully. And the brussels sprouts? Hands down the best I’ve ever had — crispy, caramelized, and packed with flavor. On top of the amazing food, our server Justin made the night even better. He was friendly, attentive, and really went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. All around, one of the best meals and service experiences we’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend!

If you’re looking for the best dining experience in Lexington, this is it! Our server, Justin, was phenomenal: so attentive and made excellent recommendations. My husband and I dined here for the first time last night, and we're already making plans to return for our anniversary! Our server, Justin, gave us excellent recommendations, and everything was stellar. Our cocktails, appetizer, entrees and shared dessert made up a perfect meal, and we loved the atmosphere. They even held our reservation for us when we got stopped in traffic due to an accident on our way there! Stellar service, food, and attention to detail.

My absolute favorite spot in Lexington—hands down! The staff here are some of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. They consistently go above and beyond, making every visit feel special. The food is always top-notch. The salmon salad is cooked to perfection every single time, and their iced coffee easily rivals the big-name coffee shops. It’s become a weekly tradition for me, my mom, and my grandmother, and we’re never disappointed. Every visit is consistently excellent.

Country food restaurant
Tudor's Biscuit World is a delightful counter-service chain that specializes in serving up signature biscuits and a variety of American classics, making it an ideal spot for breakfast or even dinner. Located in Lexington, Kentucky, this eatery has quickly become a beloved favorite among locals and families alike. Diners rave about the outstanding quality of food, with many claiming they’ve never had a bad meal here.
Okay, my wife doesn't even care for biscuits, she never has. A bread person as a general rule. One of the things I liked is that it was just a very clean place. People were nice. The service was fast and the prices honestly were about the same cost of going to a fast food restaurant. The difference is, the portion is twice the size and the quality is probably four times what you generally would get. I was expecting the typical dry crumbly biscuit. Oh no, not at this place. It was the fluffiest moistest biscuit I've ever had. My wife took one bite and said "oh my goodness we are done for. I don't even like biscuits and now have me hooked on one bite". Neither of us could even finish our plate. The sausage gravy is fantastic. Overall, the experience was great and I have already telling other friends and family about the tasty food and good service we got. Definitely will be going back.

The absolute worst so called business I have ever went to. It holds a world record tho. The world's thinnest bacon ever. The only thing big There are the biscuit even tho they are not breakfast biscuits. They put nacho cheese on egg and potatoes. Absolutely the worst place ever. Whoever made this is a horrible person. And they definitely NEVER cooked a day in they life.

Sonia was such a delight! We had never been to Biscuit World, as we are from NM… but OMG, you don’t want to miss it. Not only is the food FABULOUS, and reasonably priced, but the people… that’s what makes it. Everyone is friendly… but Sonia… she is a gem!… she made our experience so pleasurable that even tho we weren’t eating, we went back just to see her. She is the best and deserves a HUGE raise. She makes this restaurant a “go to” spot!!

We were disappointed they did not have the dining room open. It was an hour before closing and they were only working the drive thru. I ordered a rocket and the meat was over cooked. The whole sandwich was not as good as any of the WV or Ashland, Ky locations. The lady who took my order wasn't nice, she was curt and did not say thank you. There was a line of cars so maybe she was just rushed. All in all I would visit Hardee's or other place before eating here.

So im a west coast person never understood the appeal of biscuits and gravy so I opted for a biscuit with some apples on the side. Their biscuits are pretty fresh and the apples super flavorful. I'd probably skip the eggs and bacon next time they were basic but yeah it tasted good overall like a sweet dessert treat.

From the moment we walked in we were greated. The dinning area was clean and the soda station was tidy. The cashier offered options and answered all of our questions. We are traveling and drove an hour to visit the last Tudor's Biscuit World in Kentucky. It did not disappoint. The biscuits melt in your mouth. The sweet tea rivals Bojangles in our home state of NC. The cinnamon role is pure heaven. The bathroom was clean and well kept. Thank you to all the staff at Lexington. We will surely miss going to your place for breakfast. Please expand into NC.

Very good cocktails and food. It is on the pricey side but a fun date spot. I also noticed the kid's menu looked good so I would love to bring my son next time. The empanadas were quite good. My husband enjoyed the spicy chicken sandwich, though we wished it was much spicier, and crispier. I absolutely loved the spicy tuna bowl, it was delicious. We sat at the bar and watched a cooking show which was perfect. Will definitely be back.

Nestled in the heart of Lexington, Southland Bagel has been delighting locals since its inception at the Lexington Farmers Market in March 2019. By September of that same year, this beloved bagel shop transitioned into a charming brick-and-mortar location, thanks to its growing popularity. What sets Southland Bagel apart is their unique approach to crafting New York-style bagels; they boil each one using local Kentucky sorghum instead of traditional malted barley syrup.
We stopped at southland bagels on our way home to Virginia from Lexington after my brothers fantastic wedding at The Kentucky Castle . It was the perfect place to stop before a long drive. The bagels are so good and there were many options to choose from. Great coffee too. Definitely check it out if you’re in the area!!

Southland Bagel is one of my favorite spots! The “Go Goetta” is the best. Only reason for 4 stars is because of how often they run out of bagels. The brioche bun is still good that they use as a substitute. Get there early before they run out!!

I don’t live close by so whenever I am in the area I stop and enjoy the delicious bagels . As a native New Yorker I am a snob about bagels and these are as good if not better than any other bagel I’ve ever had . Most unusual is the use of cream cheese which I am so glad to have tried absolutely delicious! The store sells second day bagels which sell out fast - put in my freezer and enjoy later!($6 for 6).
Helen O — Google review
They have the best bagels in town. I just had a simple e everything bagel with cream cheese. And I believe my son had the Big b or something similar like that. It has ham, cream cheese, tomato and baby spinach. For me the price was decent and the place was nice inside. From what I had seen they had a variety of bagels.

They have Gluten Free Bagels and every Tuesday is Gluten Free Cinnamon Roll Day (this just started). They are fantastic! So excited to have this option. Cinnamon rolls are prepackaged by a local baker (Nanny Bees) and safe. This week they were also dairy free and although I am NOT DF I could not tell and they were so yummy!

40 minutes waiting on two bagels and two coffees. Truly painful experience. No apology. Coffee tasted almost rancid? Out of one of the bagels we ordered. Not enough cream cheese. Hate to give such a poor review but it was legitimately awful in every way.
Mackenzie T — Google review
The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was the length of time it took to get my hot brown bagel. My wife and daughter got their bagel with cream cheese and their egg, sausage, cheese bagel in about 5 minutes, and mine took 15 minutes. Everything tasted great, and I'd come back, but I would likely change what I order if it will take too long to prepare.

Nestled within the inviting lobby of a hotel in Lexington, Fiddletree Kitchen & Bar offers a delightful dining experience that perfectly blends New American and Southern cuisine. During my recent visit for brunch with a friend, I was captivated by the warm atmosphere and attentive service. The standout dish was undoubtedly the Eggs Benedict—arguably the best I've ever tasted! My friend raved about her chicken salad sandwich as well.
Honestly one of the best nights I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. I tend to critique about eggs from the service to the food. The atmosphere was a vibe that you can bring some people or a special date to enjoy and have a good time while also eating some tasty food that was well seasoned and I mean that. I got the chicken parm and trust me you won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait to come back in the summer to enjoy their outside area looks like a great time to have in the future. The chicken was flavorful but portion size seemed a little small. Surprised it didn’t come with any pasta but did come with mashed potatoes and veggie blend. The fried green tomato sliders were tasty. Cocktail was good but priced at $15 which seemed too high. We passed on desert (no derby pie). Overall not bad and a relaxing place to dine.

Great little place - nice menus - I got scrambled eggs, sour dough toast, home fries and bacon - everything was tasty - hot and exactly what I expected- Tue tea was very fresh and the server was really good - I didn’t like the little packets of Smuckers Jelly - would have preferred a non- high fructose option-

We ate breakfast here after checking out of the hotel. It was delicious. I had the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. Some of the best hollandaise sauce I've ever had!!! It came with a salad, which I guess I didn't see on the menu. It was fresh and tasty (and God knows I probably needed to eat a raw vegetable). The coffee was also good and fresh. My son had the pancakes which I tasted and they were excellent. The real star though is the ambiance. The restaurant is so beautiful. I just loved sitting there and looking at everything. Hillary was our server, and she was excellent.

Some of the best food I’ve had. Atmosphere was A1. Live and he was jamming out to Tyler Childers ya know just some good ole Kentucky music. I had the chicken parm and that was one of the best meals I’ve had a restating a long time I will definitely going back!

Stopped in just to check the place out as it is right next to our neighborhood. Absolutely loved the place, is was so pretty and lovely inside and outside. We only got drinks but it was one of the best drinks I've had. We will definitely be back to try the food.

Handsome waiter. So, so vegetarian pizza - pretty boring. Quiet place. Not busy. Pricey. A 10-inch pizza was $18 ++. Groups get assessed a 20% gratuity so watch your ticket before tipping. I would not chose to go back.

Mexican restaurant
Taco Tico is a fast-food restaurant in Lexington, Kentucky that offers a variety of Mexican staples such as enchiladas, tacos, and burritos. The popular street vendor is known for its delicious tacos made with freshly prepared tortillas and filled with options like barbacoa, al pastor, and carnitas. These flavorful tacos are topped with an assortment of sauces including salsa verde, guacamole, and sour cream.
I miss the taco Tico in Northpark so bad that I drove clear across town to eat tacos there. The service was great. The food was great, but Pimlico will never be the same as North Park. I miss North park and the staff who worked there.but when I do the best taco in town, I guess I will have to drive all the way to Pimlico.

Portion size was a joke! Manager had to remake my food! Looks like they forgot the beef!! I also got double deluxe enchilada and Mexi fries. They didn’t have any seasoning on the fries. Really disappointed after going to Taco Tico most of my life!

We drove 85 mi from Lily, Kentucky to get to Taco Tico in Lexington, Kentucky. We used to have a Taco Tico in Corbin Kentucky close to where we live, we loved it! We don't understand why it closed down. Our experience with Taco Tico in Lexington, Kentucky at Pimlico was terrible! I had to at least rate it one star but if I could it would be zero Stars. The manager on duty, we believe his name is Tommy. He had long long ponytail all the way down to his waist. His hair was in everyone's way getting in the food. It was nasty! He was very rude I ordered a platter, first of all, I checked my food for hair, I told my husband to check his food as well. The taco was so skimpy, hardly anything in it. The Sancho was skimpy as well. Hardly any cheese on it or any sauce. When you ask for smothered you don't get smothered you get a sprinkle! I took it back up there and asked for some sauce and some cheese. The manager got really hateful with me and told me that's how it comes. I was very polite. He had no reason to treat me that way. He left the sour cream off as well. It clearly states on the menu it comes with sour cream. I asked for sour cream, he acted as if I was robbing the store. He had such an attitude! With a manager like that Taco Tico will go under! To whom it may concern, Take my advice, Taco Tico can surely do much better without him!

Great tacos. Better nachos. Great salsa choices. Try the crustos.

I tried this place after hearing a lot about it. Service was awesome. Super friendly and they are really kind. The chili cheese tots were… off putting at first, but good after a few bites? I don’t know what to tell you! I liked them eventually. The fish tacos are great and should remain on the menu for sure. They tasted awesome. I tried the rice because I saw other reviews that said it was good and I did not like it? I couldn’t finish it because it was bland. Otherwise, it was a good experience but maybe don’t get the rice. I need to come back and try more things for sure!

Nestled in the charming ambiance of a cozy French grandma cottage, Lady Remoulade Kitchen is set to make waves with its delightful Creole-Cajun offerings. Formerly known as Roulay, this culinary gem is taking over the picturesque Flag Fork Herb Farm location and aims to incorporate its lush gardens into the dining experience.
Lovely atmosphere, like cozy French grandma cottage. Speakeasy music. The menu is not overly vast, so you know everything is fresh. Daily chef's creations based on seasonal availability. Everything was beautifully presented, wonderful flavor combinations. I had the salmon with corn souffle, asparagus and fried green tomatoes. Perfection! The salmon was perfectly cooked and not oversauced. Dessert was as perfect as the pictures!!

First time visiting and it lived up to the hype. It's a great place for a date night. Super charming interior. Staff was excellent. Chef is very talented! Meals were beautiful and tasted even betwr than they looked! There was a rude customer while we were there and the staff handled her with class. Can't wait to go for brunch!

The chef's here have something really special, that makes Lady Remoulade stand out from the other French,Cajun/Creole places in Lexington. The space is intimate, beautiful and the staff is very personable. I took my bf here for dinner and we enjoyed our Filet Tenderloin, Roasted French chicken Legs and Beignets. We plan to tell our friends that they must absolutely go here and do brunch! (There was a bridal party there, celebrating- p.s.its got a airy and light/very photogenic space for lots of pictures and the food presentation is gorgeous, as it is decadent )Looking forward to the outdoor garden space dining and the bar phases in the near future. Also, vegetarian friendly. We will be returning soon.

Not a restaurant...it's an experience! Was visiting Lexington from Las Vegas. We had the trifecta of reviewing, my grandparents are French (from France), my friends lived in New Orleans, and my wife and I are from Vegas (culinary and hospitality capital of the world). Have eaten at many fine dining establishments, but did not expect the quality, presentation, and hospitality to be way above outstanding! The restaurant is quaint, full of vintage pieces that make the home into a lovely restaurant. If you been to New Orleans, you have seen similar setups of how the restaurant was laid out. The waiter (sorry I forgot your name), he went above and beyond what I would have expected. His enthusiasm and personality made the hospitality experience wonderful. He was very helpful and accommodation with my little toddler (4 yr old). We were quickly seated and continuously checked on with service. I wish I took more pictures, but the only picture I posted does not even come close to the look, smell, and taste. Everything we ordered was amazing, the filet, shrimp and grits, gumbo soup, chicken pasta, fried green tomatoes, and the dessert. When our entrees came out, Chef Kelly came out to greet us and welcomed us to the restaurant. It is rare to meet the person who personally prepared your food, let alone the actual chef. To put a face with the food that was created was perfect. All of us, raved on how good the food was. You know something was unbelievably good when you are still talking about it on the plane ride the next day. Highly recommend and wish this restaurant was in Vegas!

20/5 stars!!!!! This place was phenomenal to say the least. Every single detail of this place added to our amazing experience. The staff was TOP NOTCH. Thank you, Lady Remoulade, you all have truly out done yourselves. PS- we live about an hour away and will be returning, without question, to try everything else on the brunch and dinner menu :)

Lady Remoulade is the new restaurant from the former staff of Roulay. They’ve transformed the antique property at 900 N Broadway into what I believe is, or could soon be, the best restaurant in Lexington. From the escargot, to the gumbo, to the filet, chef Kelly goes above and beyond expectations to deliver food that could easily go for 2-3x what they’re charging. No other restaurant in town can rival the value and flavor diversity of Lady Remoulade. Her passion for delivering a culinary experience is evident in every dish. The beignets and inventive dipping sauces from the in house pastry chef are a must to finish. I’m looking forward to their bar opening soon and for the further development of their beautiful outdoor spaces this summer. Lady Remoulade is our new go to date night restaurant.

Breakfast restaurant
Biscuit Belly - East Main, a Louisville-based chain, recently expanded to a second location in Lexington. The restaurant offers a unique breakfast and lunch experience with its delicious biscuit sandwiches and catering options. Customers can enjoy the simplicity of the basic biscuit sandwich or indulge in specialties like the boozy bird sandwich featuring fried chicken on a biscuit. Additionally, Biscuit Belly is known for its flight of gravy, perfect for those looking to try different flavors.
While there was a line the food did not disappoint! A very friendly gentleman (assuming the owner/manager) was welcoming, keeping things efficient and engaged us in conversation making us feel at home! They moved people through quickly while still making it an enjoyable experience!

Over a good experience- the portions are good, the flavor profiles are unique. Coffee is self serve and tasted quite old- for $3.40 I’d rather have fresher coffee. Also notes in the picture- my omelette was swimming in grease from the toppings, I’d recommend reducing grease used for this dish in the future. The poblano tomato sauce is AMAZING! I wish they sold it in bottles along side their coffee and pickle retail products
C B — Google review
Biscuit Belly absolutely hit the spot, flaky biscuits, crispy fried chicken, and rich gravy that tastes like it was made from scratch. The vibe is bright and fun, staff are friendly, and the line moves fast even when it’s busy. Portions are generous, coffee’s solid, and it’s the kind of brunch you think about later and want again.
Christopher M — Google review
Tasty food, but we all agreed that the biscuits were a bit doughy or underdone for our tastes. We ordered the following: a Praline Mocha coffee (yummy, but I asked for it hot and received it cold and not sure it was actually Praline), breakfast tots (loaded and really yummy though not crazy about the dipping sauce), Bonuts (biscuit donuts - paid for BOTH dipping sauces and received NONE - tasty though a bit underdone for our tastes), Mama's Boy (good, no complaints), Love Shack (good, lighter choice), Hot Brown (good but they forgot the tomato). The ordering process was good (they were very patient with me as I tried to remember what I wanted to order). We ordered our food to go, but the dining area was very clean and we'll maintained. They give you a wooden numbered sign to place at your table. They also have an online ordering system and a drive through. We would order again, but I would see if we could get the Bonuts a little more cooked, if possible and would double check the order before leaving the restaurant.

We love Biscuit Belly! Food was good but we've had better at some of the other locations. Likely just an off day as it wouldn't stop us from trying it again next time we travel through the area.

This place rocks! Friendly service, excellent food and fun atmosphere. There was a small miscommunication with my order (no big deal, especially on a busy Sunday) and the manager, Lori, handled it with kindness and grace. She is a great leader and you can see that reflected in her employees.

Our daughter is a freshman at UKY and we’re just getting acclimated to the town. We’re trying to find places to eat when we’re visiting her. This weekend we found a great little place for breakfast that has Delicious food & an amazing staff! We witness the owner/manager bussing the tables to move the tables so the customers don’t wait long. By doing that it shows everyone how he cares about his customers. Thank you for a wonderful experience! We will be back when were in town again!
Wendy S — Google review
They have a drive thru but that's pretty much all it's good for is driving thru. You try to order online and it's not available for pickup which is what I was doing. So I thought I'll call the order in, they won't answer the phone. So if want their food be prepared to go in if you have time unlike I did.

Common Grounds Coffee House is a cozy and relaxed spot in Lexington, offering live music and open-mike nights. It's known for its delicious sandwiches, wraps, and breakfast burritos made with fresh ingredients. The coffee is highly praised, with many visitors opting to take home a bag of their beans. The ambiance is described as a mix of hipster and college-kid vibes, with various rooms to hang out in.
I love this coffee shop! Brought a friend recently and she loved it too. The decor is hipster meets poor college kid. Many different rooms to hang out in. The coffee is fantastic! The scone was a bit bland, I could provide tips on that, but all in all. It’s great and I’ll be back.

Good coffee. The place was really dirty and the service people were more interested in their own conversation that customers. I don’t like Starbucks coffee, but at least the staff there cares about keeping the place nice. The owner here has decided they’re making so much from their customers - that’s where it begins and ends. Check out the photo - there was no trash can present. So the counter was the trash can. The register was spattered with dried up coffee.

I was looking for good coffee in Lexington and found it. Very chill place. I also got a breakfast burrito. What a great choice. Good quality, fresh ingredients. Made to order. Much better than you could ever get from a chain. The coffee was so good I grabbed a bag of beans for home.

This coffee house is amazing! The service is great and personal, the drinks are typically made quickly, and the food is fresh and homemade. I would definitely recommend, especially for people visiting Lexington, as an example of a relaxing and comfortable environment. Also, open mic night on Monday nights is fantastic! Local artists can come in and it adds to the experience. Definitely a good place to be.

My favorite coffee shop in Lexington - awesome place. Pretty grungy, but they've started to freshen up the main room (for better or worse). Local art available for purchase is hanging on the walls of most rooms. Coffee is great, and the staff are superb. They offer soy and almond milk for those who are non-dairy. There is also a food menu, but I have never ordered from it.

Great atmosphere, nice coffee. (House coffee a bit bitter for my liking, but others may love it.) The prices are reasonable as well. Should be on your list for a break from the mega corporate culture of a certain famous coffee chain... A nice place to send an hour or so...

Mama Tequila is a newly opened Mexican restaurant located at the corner of Broadway and Short Streets. The interior and exterior are adorned with vibrant murals, providing a perfect backdrop for photos. They offer a variety of traditional and flavored margaritas to quench your thirst. The restaurant boasts authentic Mexican cuisine that rivals fine dining establishments in Mexico. With an extensive selection of tequilas and daily specials, Mama Tequila also transforms into a lively nightclub after 10 pm.
Bright, colorful and lively, this spot is a fun stop to chill with a drink and food before a performance at the Opra House steps across the street. The staff is delightfully friendly, helpful and efficient. The menu cover is lovely and there is a nice selection of choices for full meals or pre-theater appetizers. The homemade tamale is substantial and could be shared with an appetizer selection. Colorful, entertaining and high energy, Mamma’s would be a fun later in the evening stop.

Not sure why this place only has a 3.9 star review because I'm giving it 5 stars. Mama tequila was recommended to us by the front desk girl at our hotel when we asked her what restaurants nearby are good. Just so happened to be taco Tuesday so they had taco specials and 2 for 1 margaritas. (The birria tacos were sooooo good!). Also they have other specials during the week. Service was really great too.

Origin Lexington, located in Lexington, Kentucky is a Wyndham Hotel with a restaurant, fitness center and bar. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi and parking.
I recently stayed at the Origin Hotel in Lexington and wow—what a stylish and inviting place! The decor is trendy yet cozy, with a warm vibe that immediately makes you feel at ease. My room was spacious, sparkling clean, and modern, and the bed? Hands-down one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. The food and drinks were also top-notch, showcasing the local Kentucky flavor perfectly. Don’t miss the Kentucky coffee—absolutely delicious! While the front desk experience wasn’t overly welcoming (not rude, just a bit cold), the bar/restaurant staff more than made up for it—especially one incredible young woman working the morning shift at the bar. I didn’t catch her name, but she had brown hair, a face tattoo near her ear, and the warmest, kindest presence. We connected briefly over parenthood and tattoos, and her sweet compliment about my pierogi tattoo meant more than she realized—it’s a memorial to my late father. Her warmth, empathy, and genuine spirit completely made my trip. She deserves every bit of recognition possible. She is the reason for this five-star review. If you’re staying in Lexington, don’t miss the chance to be taken care of by people like her. The Origin Hotel is lucky to have her—and so were we. ❤️

This was our second time staying at Origin. We typically stay at SpringHill Suites but staying anywhere at Fritz Farm is a wonderful thing. Not only is Origin close to everything from shopping to restaurants but there are activities for families and the hotel itself had a bar and restaurant. The beds are comfortable, internet TV helps you keep up with your binge watching and the service is always above and beyond what you would expect. Please stop and buy stickers or shirts to support this local hotel in a great area of town. Come stay, relax, enjoy the town, and LexVegas will live up to its name. Great showers too!

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very nice and I will book it again. It is surrounded by shops, restaurants and a Whole Foods that you can walk to. The parking at the hotel is free which is great. Also, there is a bar and a restaurant at the hotel that you can order meals from. The ONLY thing it does not have is a fridge/microwave, which was fine for our short trip. All of the staff were nice and welcoming.
Marquetta B — Google review
This hotel was very comfortable and clean, and I am picky with cleanliness! It was located in a really convenient area with shopping and dining right outside the hotel. The manager, Tare and supervisor, Robert were awesome and went above and beyond. It’s refreshing to see such exceptional customer service which is very rarely the case at the bigger chain hotels these days. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit!
Drea N — Google review
Pleasant stay at The Origin, however, my wife left a bag there and after contacting them at least 4-6 times— each time the front desk or manager has told us that housekeeping would be calling to set up sending the bag— no one has called. We stopped by today, because we are from out of town and finally back in town, and front desk told us sorry— housekeeping gone for the day call the GM during the week. Absolutely our fault for leaving the item but we were given many assurances to receive calls and they never came. Disappointed in the customer service all together.
Charles O — Google review
A solid 4 star experience at a very nice hotel. While researching where to stay near Lexington, reviews at several other "5 star" hotels said they were nice, but dated and looking worn out. The Origin is a new, modern hotel. It just feels fresh. At check in, we were asked if we were light or heavy sleepers, and what amenities were a priority for us. They placed us in a room at the end of a wing on the top floor. It was perfect. The hotel is in a very nice commercial/residential development with several nice restaurants within walking distance. We very much enjoyed J. Alexander's and Honeywood. The Origin bar has good selection of Bourbon, however some of their prices per pour were significantly higher than the same pour at J. Alexander's. It was nice to get to try some very hard to find whiskey (Russell's 15 and Old Rip 10). It is a very fur baby friendly hotel and area, so bring the furry kids. We will plan on staying at the Origin anytime we are near Lexington, and Will enthusiastically recommend it to anyone traveling the area.

Ok. I have never stayed at this hotel, so I can’t rate the rooms obviously. But we did eat here and both of our meals, drinks, and service experience was excellent. Super surprised and literally tried to change other dinner reservations to this place so we could eat here again to see if it’s normal. The coffee rubbed prime rib was excellent as was the salmon with the garlic cream sauce. I would probably drive back to Lexington to eat both again. Great dishes!

Origin Lexington absolutely exceeded our expectations! This hotel blends modern design with a unique nod to Kentucky’s iconic horse country, making every space — from the lobby and in-house bar to the hallways and guest rooms — feel thoughtfully curated and full of character. The décor is fresh, stylish, and distinctly local. We also loved the convenience of having fantastic shops and restaurants just steps from the hotel. Our room was incredibly comfortable with a cozy bed, great amenities, and plenty of hot water — all the little details that make a stay feel effortless. Without question, Origin Lexington will be our go-to whenever we’re back in the area!

Randomly had lunch here when I searched “restaurants near me”. I met my husband for lunch and it did not disappoint. My husband is a car guy so he liked the decor. I liked the laid-back atmosphere as well. The server/bar tender was very attentive and genuinely enthusiastic, especially for being the only server at the time. They have an outdoor seating area which looked well kept. The food was good, and I loved their fries and my husband really liked the burger. Just an FYI: They have limited parking so prepare accordingly.

Wow food is great! Had “the woodie” smoked sausage was really great way to get that smoky flavor with gravy and hash browns. Taking a bite with the tomato(very fresh) deviled egg, hash browns, gravy and smoked sausage was just a burst of flavor and texture. Only down side would be if you’re looking for a quiet meal, definitely a lively place with lots of smiles! Go check it out, I know we will be back! Those demon eggs 😈 look delicious!

This is an old service station turned diner with inside and outside seating. Car memorabilia adorns the walls and the menu is also auto themed. We had a black bean burger and roller dogs, which were great, but the star of the show was the appetizer.. Fried deviled eggs! Service was quick, friendly and prices were appropriate. Would definitely recommend stopping in!

Went for the Burger and had the burnt ends brisket and pork belly sausage on the side. Burger was ok, but a little drier than inwoud have liked, although sauce and cheese were tasty. The sausage was amazing though and would recommend the hotdog with that sausage for a next visit. Cool space and ate at the bar.

When it comes to food and service we are as picky as they come, and we were so pleasantly surprised. We visited for the first time a week ago on a Friday evening. We were greeted by friendly staff when we entered the door, served quickly, and treated like "regulars " who frequented the spot. Our food was made to order, fresh, hot, and delicious. Since we came during happy hour, our appetizers were half off. The choices on the menu really are items you won't get anywhere else. We decided to go back the next day for brunch. The service and food were just as good as the night before - which showed the food is consistent. Plus, the service was just as fabulous!!!

Bagel shop
Pizza restaurant
Pearl's Pizza in downtown Lexington is a versatile spot that transforms from a bagel shop in the morning to a pizza-and-wine bar in the evening. The breakfast bagels are carefully hand-rolled and honey-boiled, while the wood-fired pizzas are known for their delightful poofy and charred crusts, perfect for sharing with friends over a bottle of all-natural wine.
A hidden gem! I just went to try bagels and they were tasty. Quick service, not too crowded, affordable, and probably the cutest/coziest spot I’ve been to in Lexington! Excited to try the pizzas sometime. Edit: pizza and breadsticks did not disappoint!! on weekends, probably not a bad idea to call in advance!
Mindy N — Google review
Came on a Saturday after the Lexington Farmers Market. Had their Salmon bagel and since it was my first time I asked the Staff for recommendations. Had the “extreme” topping with Everything Bagel. It was delicious! All the filling came out when I bit into it…haha!…but that’s a bagel sandwich for ya! Really cute local place to spend a quiet Saturday morning. Outdoor seating and cute indoor seating. If you’re downtown Lexington, Pearl’s is a great place to try. I was only visiting for the weekend but if I was local…I’d be a Regular! Well done Pearls!
Jacinta S — Google review
We could not rave enough about the food! The fresh ingredients and unique flavor combinations made for an amazing dinner, and now I'm that much more curious about their bagel menu. Also, I could bathe in the ranch that they serve 😂 We enjoyed dinner outside, on a surprisingly cooler and quieter summer evening. The service was the only thing we had an issue with. Though seemingly nice, both the staff members that helped us were short with their answers and not attentive to our table. Also our table of 5 was squeezed around a small square table, which we said we would make work (as the other option was to sit at 2 different tables, we weren't allowed to pull them together). It just didn't make sense that the bigger tables were held for parties of 2.
Samya — Google review
The pizza is okay; it all depends on the style. It’s a bit soft and floppy but chewy. Overall, I would say it’s good. The service was hit or miss. They seemed busy for the amount of staff. Overall, there were no major issues. One big miss: they add an automatic 20% tip to the check. I always tip generously, but I base my tip on the quality of service. Adding an automatic gratuity is wrong—it’s essentially charging a 20% premium on the food. Gratuity should not be mandatory. Any place that does this should be avoided. Provide good service, and you will receive good tips. If you need to charge more for the food, then adjust the prices accordingly.

Great dinner at Pearl’s after a busy hike weekend! Our server was fantastic and food delish. Definitely a great find on our trip home. Cocktails were creative and delicious!
Lisa G — Google review
We ordered two pizzas to go around 7:30 on Saturday night. It took over an hour for the pizzas to be ready. Pizza was unique and good (not great), but overpriced for what it is. And the kicker that is making me leave this review is that Pearl’s surcharges 20% on take-out orders (which totaled an extra $8.50), calling it a service fee, which is highly uncommon in the US. Was not happy. Do not recommend.
Toby F — Google review
What a great little surprise, the bagel and eggs were spot on. I'd definitely go back. Small place, so it may be hard to find a seat.

Fantastic place. Bagels in the am, pizza & more at night. Today I had a salmon roe bagel, which wow. Never seen this anywhere before. It was amazing. I love the pizzas too. Highly recommended.

Donut shop

Parlor Doughnuts offers a unique concept where they make donuts to order, ensuring freshness and quality. Despite the initial appearance of being closed, customers can choose from a variety of cronut-style donuts that have received high praise. The blueberry, French toast, churro, and lemon flavors are particularly recommended. Even those who aren't big fans of sweets have been won over by the delicious offerings at Parlor Doughnuts.
The interior was so inviting and comfortable with lots of sunlight. Great place to enjoy breakfast. The maple pecan and the bourbon caramel were amazing. Coffee was on point as well. Do yourself a favor and go, you won't regret it

I've had this place on my list for a while. I have eaten donuts across the country and this place has a really good product. Their donuts are so light and flaky. The toppings are light and do not cheapen the taste. I ordered a dozen just to try it all. My favorite by far was the "Milk and Cookies" from their seasonal menu. They did a great job with the Reese's donuts. It's easy to make those too sweet but this place found the right balance. The interior was clean and simple. I definitely recommend you try this place!

How Do You Sleep At Night?!?! Parlor Doughnuts, You should be ashamed of yourselves….for making such deliciousness! These Doughnuts, dare I say, Cronuts are buttery, flakey, and layered just like a croissant and yet has the perfect outer crust to indulge in. With many different flavors, they accommodate those that are Vegan, Vegetarian or Gluten Free. You have to try the French Toast. We love your café and can’t wait for our next visit. If your in the Lexington area or find a Parlor Doughnuts near you, don’t miss out on the best Doughnut experience. 🤗
Rebecca M — Google review
A little underwhelmed. With the amount of options they offer it was sad to taste them and how many imitation flavoring they use. Like trash whipped topping as whipped cream. The actual doughnuts themselves were great. Secondly. They made a couple to order as they were in the display and to he honest they made a huge mess. Way too much frosting. Got all over the box. The location is excellent. The staff were great and the coffee service is great. I would go back but stick to the basics.
Joseph S — Google review
I was so excited when I heard they had gluten free vegan donuts, and they were delicious! They don’t keep the gluten free vegan donuts in the case with the rest of the donuts, they’re made to order in the back, which helps to limit any cross contamination. I got a chocolate donut with chocolate glaze and it was one of the best donuts I’ve had since going gluten free. I would highly recommend stopping in if you have dietary restrictions.!
Shy S — Google review
Poor service. I ordered 4 donuts online and they only gave me 3. The box was sealed so I assumed it was correct, but it wasn’t. Super expensive and I didn’t even get everything and I’m out an extra $4. Also they got whipped cream all over the box/bag so it was disgusting to handle.
Sarah B — Google review
Initially, I went in there by myself on a whim. I don't like sweets much and I don't drink coffee that often, but I went in there and just got a donut that was in their showcase and a cup of coffee. I took one bite (and I don't even know what kind it was; something with orange glaze?), and I thought, "I have to share this with my friends!". I pre-ordered 3 and a half dozens which was not cheap but it was all worth it when I saw how happy my coworkers were this morning! They all asked where I got it from and I told them where you were located at. I hope you get to see some increase in sales eventually. I work at a big box store, and yet we are pretty close with each other and cordial. Some of my coworkers even wanted to take a picture of the donuts. Others said, "Holy $#/+!" And they devoured it. 🤣😂 Update: so this (buying 3.5 dozs monthly) became my routine and my coworkers continue to devour all the donuts I bring. Word travels fast and they flock around quickly and they are so happy. It makes me happy to see their happy faces. Thanks guys and thanks Rob for always offering to help me carry them out to my car.
G E — Google review
I really loved their donut texture and flavor. I got the Blueberry Hill and would recommend it. I got the tropical energy drink blended and it was perfect. No chunks of ice from not blending fully and it stayed slushy the whole time I drank it. Radio of ice to lemonade didn't dilute the flavor at all. Completely forgot to take photos because I was too busy enjoying the atmosphere and donut.

Pizza restaurant
Rolling Oven is a popular spot known for its partnership with Mirror Twin, offering a delightful combination of pizza and beer. Customers can conveniently order food using the QR code on their table, while drinks are self-serve at the bar. The establishment boasts a variety of beers and delicious pizzas, with standout options like the Potato Chorizo pizza. Despite occasional issues with burnt crusts, the overall quality of the food makes it worth visiting.
3/15/25 Came to the brewery for date night with my hubby and we ordered a small pizza to split. We ordered the honey garlic chicken. The pizza came out pretty quickly and was so delicious, we devoured it pretty quickly. The staff was very accommodating and definitely seems hard working. With how busy the brewery was during a downpour, they were non stop moving pizzas. Great pizza! Definitely will have to come back and try the other specialty pizzas offered here.
World T — Google review
Dear Rolling Oven, We have loved you from the start. We have celebrated milestones at different locations. We continue to come and support you for the flavors but we sincerely miss the consistency and abundance of toppings. If you need to raise the prices yet again we are here for it, but I continue to trust the process until I get home and then realize I should’ve ordered more. Here are two cheese pizzas- first picture is from 2018 for $12 and second 2024 for $20. How do we get back to perfection?
Beth C — Google review
EDIT: Nick, thanks for the reply. I’ve been a fan for a long and I appreciate the transparency. Definitely willing to give you all the benefit of the doubt. I read through your Instagram post and wish you the best. Will be by for another try sometime soon 🍕 A far cry from what Rolling Oven used to be like. ~$40 for a large pizza, over an hour wait. Hair and a piece of metal found in the pizza. Fine with the wait considering we were here on a Saturday during a Cats game but there’s no excuse for the non-pizza objects being found…
Ben A — Google review
Okay, so after initially having a not so great experience here, we gave it another shot because we are constantly at Mirror Twin. Monet was just about the nicest server I’ve ever had here, give her a raise!! 😂 very communicative, friendly and bright. Goat cheese flat bread is excellent. Light, crispy crust and a good covering of toppings. Only recommendation would be to do make a whipped goat cheese to make it more spreadable and even across the whole thing. 8/10 Bruschetta is really fresh, but could use a bit more seasoning. Bread is really good too, still crunchy on the bottom so it clearly hasn’t been sitting around. 7/10 Maple bacon pizza is a 10/10 today. Good topping proportions and spread. Great amount of char. Who ever was doing it was paying attention.
J. B — Google review
I initially tried to order one of the beer + pizza specials directly from Rolling Oven but was redirected to the Mirror Twin bar to place my order. My friends, who didn’t order the special, placed their orders at roughly the same time and were served much faster. I checked on my order multiple times over the next two hours—first being told it would take 15–20 minutes, then later that it was “about to go in the oven.” Despite expressing my frustration, the only response I received was a simple “sorry.” I understand that the staff working the bar may not have had the ability to resolve the issue directly, and I’m not writing this to blame any individual. My hope is that someone from Rolling Oven management sees this and takes steps to improve the ordering process during busy nights (Tuesday night Bingo). Waiting two hours for food, especially when others are served promptly, is a disappointing experience that could easily be avoided with better coordination.
Jake B — Google review
EDIT: the owner, Nick, responded to the post and asked me to reach out. I texted Nick and never heard anything back. Food is always good but overpriced for what you get. Service sucks. We ordered 2 appetizers got one pretty quickly but had to go up multiple times to remind them about our wings. The last time my husband went up they said that had forgotten them. We ended up having to get them to go since we had to leave and get home and the woman we ordered from didn’t say much or offer apologies for the forgetfulness and bad service. The same woman who took our orders said, “gee thanks” to our friend when she bought a $1 ranch and did not tip on the order (she had tipped on the original order). Probably won’t be back.
Shelby S — Google review
Right? Oxtail on pizza sounds wild — but Rolling Oven nailed it. The flavors were bold and perfectly balanced, making it one of the most memorable pies I’ve had. My wife wasn’t sure at first, so she played it safe with the potato chorizo (which ended up being a hit) and the kids devoured their pepperoni slices. Every single one was a winner. Can’t wait to try whatever crazy-good creation they dream up next!

Good if you’re willing to wait 1 hour for cheese bread on a sleepy Saturday afternoon. Food arrived right as we were leaving. Disappointed and definitely would not eat here again. Come for the beer not the food

Chicken shop
Rise and Brine Chicken Biscuits is a newly opened eatery located at 331 Romany Rd. It's the brainchild of Matt and Betsy Borland, along with Matthew and Jenna Mitchell. The restaurant specializes in crafting delectable biscuits made from scratch daily, paired with chicken brined in house-made pickle juice and buttermilk for extra tenderness.
We’ve been to rise and brine multiple times and always have a great experience! The girl working the counter is really friendly, and the space is bright and cozy. It’s funny to see reviews saying there isn’t enough seating; we’ve never had a problem getting a table. We think these are the best biscuits in town and look at the menu even while eating whatever we ordered to see what we’ll get next time. Love this new neighborhood gem! Update: Months later, this spot has become our go-to for breakfast on the weekend! Don’t overlook the breakfast burrito - it’s the best one I’ve had in town!

Awesome chicken biscuit, delicious breakfast burrito (big portion). Very simple place in a good way. Current go to biscuit/breakfast place.

We’re back in town visiting with family and I was looking for a local place to enjoy matcha and breakfast. This week lace popped right up on Google Maps and it was the most wonderful breakfast we’ve had since being here. Everything came out fresh and hot! My matcha was incredible (try with their brown sugar cinnamon syrup!!) The workers were polite and it was a beautiful day to sit down and enjoy. We cannot wait to enjoy it again on our next visit❤️
Lexus S — Google review
The breakfast burrito is amazing (a tiny bit spicy, but not bad) and the biscuits are delicious. The menu is small, but everything I’ve had has been good. Plenty of parking, but not much inside seating. It seems like a lot of neighborhood people pop in and out for takeout.

I have to get on here and brag about the chicken tacos I just had from Rise and Brine. They were delicious and filling and only $7. The flavors were incredible and the customer service is always wonderful! Thank you guys for a great lunch!

We wanted to try something different, so we went to this restaurant for breakfast. The service was friendly and there was plenty of parking. However, the time to receive the food was pretty slow. The food was delicious but for the O.G.E biscuit, breakfast burrito, and a drink (I had water) it was over $30 dollars. Not a great value.
Amber G — Google review
Breakfast here was great on Easter weekend. The chicken was tender and the breading wasn’t overly heavy. The biscuit was buttery and soft. I found it a little pricey for biscuits or breakfast food in general $35 for 3 biscuits and a lemonade. The everything biscuit was great but too big to handle, had to use a fork and knife. All in all I’d come back and get simply the chicken biscuit
Kristina R — Google review
Very Good! Cute place and location. I got the jalapeño cheese biscuit special with the tofu patty option. I LOVE that you can sub any meat on the sandwiches for tofu! Thank you! My husband had the hot honey biscuit and loved it as well. I had a latte that was great and he had a cappuccino. Pricing is fair. Service super friendly.
