We tried this for lunch. We were looking for a good sandwich shop. We were visiting & doing a little sightseeing. We decided on the Tuna Sandwich with all the toppings. It was huge! Lots of tuna salad on the bread along with greens, cheese, tomatoes, & pickle relish. We tried their potato chips & French onion dip with them. Everything was good. There was patio outdoor seating. Lots of indoor seating was available. We would go try them again. This seemed to be a new location.

So underwhelmed. I was excited to try this place after reading reviews and a referral from a friend. For an almost $26 I expected it to wow me! This is the first place I had to pay for the basic toppings like lettuce and tomatoes on a sub. I paid for hot peppers that weren't hot! Marios and Al's subs have them beat all the way for significantly less money.

Absolutely MASSIVE sandwiches, I got the Italian Grinder WITH extra provolone and it only came out to $20 or so after tax. Sandwich was super tasty! No wait for seats, lots of open bar space, and open pool tables as well. Staff was very friendly and made sure I was taken care of. I gotta come back for happy hour, as it’s $5 beers! THIS PLACE IS SO COOL! So unexpected, there’s a whole arcade and bowling and everything! I thought this was gonna be a cute little sandwich shop, but it is much more than that! I will definitely be coming back here for an evening out!

Could be a great spot but it has some issues. They were out of wings at 12:30pm on a football Sunday. They were playing sound out of multiple TVs all on different channels right next to each other so you couldn’t really hear anything that well. And they didn’t have any glassware, just small plastic cups. Hopefully they’ll fix some of it because the food and space is great.

Typically, I hesitate to leave a negative review for a small business, as I respond to reviews for small businesses. Still, the leadership team at this establishment should be aware. I live in NoMa and have ordered cheesesteaks from here twice before, but the bread is not toasted, so the sandwich quickly gets soggy. There is no online option to request toasted bread, so I walked over (passing five sandwich shops) to B&P to place a takeout order. I inquired with the very polite hostess, and she thought that the option to have bread toasted was on the kiosk. But I told her it wasn’t. She looked and could not find it. Then she spoke to another hostess, who told me the chef would probably not do it, but she would ask. So she goes in the back and asks the chef, and he refused to toast the bread. This is the insanity. How is a business that sells sandwiches - known for sandwiches -  and you refuse to toast the bread? 🤦🏽‍♀️ As basic as Subway is, they toast their bread. So I was going to proceed with the order, although the hostess was adamant that he would not toast the bread. So I asked if I could get the bread on the side. Then I thought about it, there are so many options within walking distance to entertain this foolishness at B&P. There was an establishment directly across the street, and as it is Thursday, at the African stand at the 3rd St farmers market, they toast their sandwich bread. The area is not lacking hoagie options. So I opted not to place an order at B&P, walked less than five minutes away, and ordered a DELICIOUS PoBoy with toasted bread at The District Fish Wife for $13. I live in a building in NoMa with 452 units and a very active tenant group chat. And now I’m gonna tell other people my experience. So if the owners or marketing team are reading this, you need to realize there are way too many options in the immediate area to be this uncompromising about something as basic as toasting bread. Absolutely legendary sandwich spot in DC. I was so glad to discover they decided to to move locations to Noma! I visited when they first opened this new location so menu options were quite limited, but my sandwich was very tasty despite not being my usual order. Although, I got some serious food jealousy towards my friends who ordered the chicken/eggplant parm sandwiches. Staff were very friendly and the new space definitely has strong potential!! It looks like a great hangout spot.

There aren’t really places to eat inside (four awkwardly placed countertop spots), but when it’s warm out, it looks like eating on the benches outside is an option. Service was fine, but not particularly friendly.

I visited this restaurant yesterday, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The moment I walked in, the place didn’t feel clean or inviting—but I decided to give it a try based on a recommendation. The food itself didn’t taste good, and to make matters worse, I found a piece of plastic in my sandwich. That was the final straw. I won’t be returning, and I honestly don’t understand the positive reviews.

HIGHLY recommend. They have so many unique subs, all served on the same perfect bread. It was really hard to decide because I saw at least 5 I wanted to try. One of their regulars who was picking up gave us some recommendations, she said everything was good it just depended on your mood. (Thank you, nice lady!) My husband took her advice and got the kingston jerk chicken sub and I had the Buenos Aires. The steak was cooked to perfection but the jerk chicken was our favorite. The subs are large enough to split but you wont want to. The staff was friendly and very fast. They do have a table inside and bench outside but this a take out place. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Food) ⭐️⭐️⭐️½ (Seating) Hidden Gem Near the Convention Center! SundeVich sits off 9th Street down a small alley — easy to miss but worth finding. Inside, a huge chalkboard lists creative sandwiches named after cities around the world. I had The Kingston, a jerk chicken sandwich bursting with flavor and topped with pineapple salsa and fresh greens — absolutely incredible. The shop is small with one indoor table and a bench outside, great on nice days but tricky in bad weather. Still, 5 stars for the food alone — a must-try for anyone who loves a true sandwich masterpiece!

Solid sandwiches drawing inspiration from a wide variety of cuisines -- I love the premise of eating around the world (or at least the capital cities of the world) through sandwiches. I tried their Cairo, a vegetarian sandwich with fresh herbs, brined veggies, cucumbers, walnuts, and hummus. I opted to turn it into a salad (which I was so grateful you could do with any of their sandwich combos) and added smoked salmon and avocado. The portions are incredibly generous -- I swear they must have added an entire pack of smoked salmon! The ingredients were super fresh, making it an all-around tasty meal.

Stopped here for lunch after getting in at DCA. AMAZING sandwiches! We got the Lima & the Kingston.

Update: Still a solid choice, but my Buenos Aires, lacked salt and seasoning - but was loaded with meat. Previously: Both locations produce consistently enjoyable and diverse sandwiches. This new location is now establishing Grace Street as a place to go - off the beaten path from M and Wisconsin. The sandwiches are great and the location is fresh and inviting with two other stores that share the space; Grace Street Coffee and South Block. Food: The “sub“ had more bread and lettuce and then meat. The flavor was lacking because you only taste bread and vegetables. Experience in the store : I sat at the counter with my receipt in hand and waited for my order. I noticed that they had drinks in a pouch and considered ordering one but noticed that the two sandwich makers were staring at me. The two sandwich makers started giggling and acted like I intended to steal a drink from the refrigerator. A bouncer walked in, sat in front of me on top of the refrigerator to make a statement. The sandwich makers started laughing louder. I ignored him, he kicked his feet out towards me and I ignored him again. The woman sandwich maker walked outside and gave the order to my partner instead of calling the order out in the store like normal. There is a freezer door that looks like it leads to a speakeasy. The bar area looked tired and quiet. If they make their drinks the way they make their sandwiches, it is not worth the visit. Save yourself the disappointment and find another establishment.

My office loves this place! We order regularly for our lunches, even our clients started to ask us where we get our sandwiches from. The biggest favorites are the California Cheesesteak, The Caprese, and the Capo's Cheesesteak. I recently decided to go with a spinach wrap instead of bread, and it did not disappoint at all! Thank you for being consistently amazing! I saw the reviews about the back bar/ club they have, and I don't agree with assault or violence of any kind. I'm glad I don't have to experience that at all, but no one should ever have to! I would like to add that I've only been there twice, once was for the back bar which I had no issue with (this was also years back before covid) and the other time was for the deli after being at another club. Other than that, I typically order for delivery now. Sad to see so many people upset, hopefully they fix it.

My food was amazing! My Judy and I drove an hour and a half to get to this deli, and it was so worth that drive. There was not a line to get in. The inside appears small, yet there is a whole club, bar, and sitting area inside to the rear. The deli was very clean, and everything was organized. We were greeted with a warm welcome, and the cashier assisted us in ordering as I'm sure she could tell it was our first visit. She was patient and very kind. I showed her a photograph that I saw on social media, which is what caused me to make that drive. She knew exactly what the sandwich was and began explaining everything that was included. I was soooooo pleased with my visit. The sandwich looked exactly as pictured and tasted even better. I would totally make that drive again to taste all that goodness!

I’m visiting from California and placed an order from Capo through Uber Eats. After waiting for almost an hour, my order was canceled. While waiting for my new order, the restaurant tried to help me figure out what was going on with the drivers. Well after an hour I finally received my new order and a lovely note from Capo with 2 comp chips. Good service still exists. Thank you Capo!

Our Carry out Order was spot on, ready quickly, everything was correct temp and well packaged. Counter Staff was friendly. We made a mistake on online platform and called immediately and they were happy to correct. We got 3 large sandwiches- chic parm, meatball and Italian. All were very tasty , generous portion sizes, nice flavors. Good bread with lots of sesame seeds— wish it had a bit more chew. Will absolutely go back to Capo. I like my sandwiches moist- Next time I’d request extra red sauce on the meatball and parm and vinegar/oil on Italian.

Looking for late night eats on the weekend? Look no further, Capo serves up deli sandwiches up till 3am! On my recent visit I got a half order of the capicola and provolone. You have a choice of breads, sauces, and toppings. This hit the spot satisfying my belly. I sat up at the front counter and was entertained, watching drunks stumble in and out of the speak easy.

I haven't been inside as I've been using Uber to get my food, but it's good! I go with the Italian with BBQ chips and sometimes a pickle. Had their cinnamon roll recently which was delicious 😋

Looking for a quick breakfast bagel shop while visiting D.C. we came across Call Your Mother Deli. We figured it had to be good when we turned the corner and noticed a line out the door. The decor was very cute, staff was friendly, cold brew coffee was delicious (wish they offered more than one size) and bagels and CYM bangers were delicious. We stopped in every morning while in town and everything was CONSISTENTLY good and even grabbed some bagels for home.

Good atmosphere in the “Truly Yours” hotel. Ate the “Mountainview” sandwich. It has a potato latke, smashed avocado, egg and cheddar and American cheeses. Switched out the plain bagel for an everything bagel. Tasted much better than expected. Would get it again. Service is good. Friendly staff.

Two separate trusted DC foodies individually recommended me to try Call Your Mother, so I made it a point to queue up a few minutes before they opened on the first day of my conference. The line moved quickly, and the team was fast and professional. The breakfast sandwich was an absolute dream - egg, cheese, and pastrami on a sesame, toasted. Fabulous. So glad I went - highest possible recommendation. Would have gone back on day 2 but the conference itself did provide breakfast.

A must-go every trip to DC. This location is bright and cheery and has a lot of seating optons outside and inside as it’s connected to the Yours Truly Hotel. Breakfast bagel sandwiches are always delicious and coffee beverages are good. I always get the salmon bagel. Really a delicious sandwich loaded with crisp veggies, for $12.

this place was packed and it’s easy to see why. I had the latkes and a pastrami sun city on the gluten friendly yucca bread, both were so so good. I could eat here every day. service was lovely and food was quick to be ready. I appreciate their care in separating the gluten friendly items.

This place was awesome! Very busy and long line, but it moved efficiently and I got my order quickly. I got the Mountain View bagel and a honey oat latte and both were amazing. Food was fresh and coffee was great. This location is definitely buzzing and you might have pay to park then walk a bit.

Maybe I just came at an off time, the staff was very sweet but the service was extremely slow. Overall it was a okay experience, I believe they forgot my coffee and I had been standing there for over 10 mins so I just left it. The bagel was delicious and would definitely order it again. They said they would ‘text you’ when it was done but they just ended up calling the names out for each order. This location is attached to Yours Truly hotel. I would return to this location.

Very good pizza with a nice crunch at a very low price of $2.50 per slice. I liked both the pepperoni and the mushroom slices. However, I felt like the lady who helped us was generally quite rude and seemed annoyed we paid using card for a price barely over the $5 minimum.

I wanted to like Vace because I know it’s a local institution but it left a lot to be desired. I tried their focaccia cold cut sandwich, meatball sub, and plain slice, none of which were very good. The focaccia tastes like instant yeast, the sub rolls are clearly frozen and par baked, and the slice was extremely mid. Prices are pretty high considering the quality isn’t great. However, what really put me off was the service — everyone behind the counter acts like you’ve offended them by daring to order and are clearly extremely unhappy to be serving customers. It’s a shame because it’s the type of spot where you’d expect friendly service. Also, watch out if you’re buying a tiramisu, because most of the containers are broken and the tiramisu are freezer burned as a result.

Love this place, love that it’s local. Reasonably priced with a very neighborhood feel. Cheapest non-dominos pizza in DC, and tasty. Take home frozen pasta dishes are great too. Service is indifferent, but it just reminds me of New York. No mandated pleasantries. Honestly I kind of dig that. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Classic spot on Connecticut Ave. The pizza here is pretty great. I also like that they put the sauce on top of the layer of cheese, which gives a different kind of bite that isn't all that innovative when you think about it, but tastes surprisingly fresh (I started doing that on my own mini pizzas I make at home). Speaking of making your own pizzas, the blocks of whole milk mozzarella cheese they sell are really fantastic. So delicious, and I buy one every time I make a stop at Vace's. They are a small, simple Italian pizza place (no dining in, take-out only) selling pies or slices, but also act as a mini market where you can pick up pastas and cheese, plus other Italian goodies. It's really a fairly simple spot that rightfully gets regular business and, in my opinion, should get yours, too. Try them out 🍕🍝🥫 5/5 stars from me 🥰

Fantastic to go meals. Popped in to get some Togo when we were to the zoo - and we will be back. Excellent meals to go. Can’t speak to the service, it was fine. But highly recommend the food.

For 46 years, this Italian market and deli has been making waves in Cleveland Park (and Washington, D.C.). Here's why you should visit: 1) Food: There's a deli in the back that sells Italian subs for under $10 and slices of pizza for $2.50. In an expensive city, it's hard to find a less expensive meal. I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza. It's thin crusted, but good! 2) Market: They sell all kinds of Italian products from hard-to-get sodas to wines to homemade pasta to all kinds of frozen lasagnas. Cured meats and soccer balls hang from the ceiling. 3) Service: Candidly, it's not friendly and at time abrasive, but it's part of the experience. If you love Italy, wander to Cleveland Park's Vace.

The service is comically bad and almost endearing? I expected it after reading other reviews. The glowing comments about the pizza made me think it was going to be magical but it was just good.

Fantastic rockin grocery store with Italian imported goods and a tasty sub shop in the back that serves both hot and cold subs. Equally as tasty as each other. It’s up to what you’re feeling that day. Chicken parm/fresh turkey sandwich. Don’t do mikes way do Litteri way!

Hands down one of the best chicken parm subs we’ve ever had. $17 for a 12” sub so was very reasonably priced as well. I loved that they had sheets to write your order down and hand to them so no mistaken what you wanted and super efficient. If we didn’t take public transportation we probably would’ve bought more. But we settled for the subs and two slices of cake and some vanilla pizzelle cookies. Two subs fed me and the hubby and our two small kids. We saved the third and split it for a dinner snack when we got home. You can tell this an authentic real deal shop and you won’t regret eating here. This is one of two of the only places we picked to go to go out to eat at while in DC and it was well worth the trip over. Even though it was out the way for what we were doing in DC I would go there again in a heartbeat. HIGHLY recommend stopping here for some food or shopping. The sauce on our sandwiches is like none other than we’ve ever tasted and we loved it. There is a bench across the street which we sat at to eat. Stop and eat here. You won’t regret it.

If you are looking for an authentic Italian grocery in the DC area, this is the place. They have the hard to find items that you’d otherwise have to drive to Baltimore and points north to get. A great selection of olive oils (I prefer Partanna and they have it in several sizes including the big tin). Fantastic wines separated by region making selection easy, including two shelves of beautiful Brunello. Housemade sausage. Hogs casings if you like to make your own. Amazing selection of Italian cheeses (and other European cheeses), bufala, scamorza, and many others. The cold cuts and cured meats selection is fantastic and hard to believe I could get some of these outside of NY. Italian sodas, sfogliatelle (frozen from Napoli!), DOP San Marzanos, stop me now! Thank you A Litteri! I’m soo glad I found you!!

I have to shout out Jose who works at the deli. He does an amazing job every time I stop in! The service is always friendly and fast, and you can tell they really care about the food and the customers. The sandwiches are always fresh, perfectly made, and just hit the spot. If you're ever in the area, definitely swing by!

A. Litteri is a charming spot for Italian groceries and sandwiches. The meats and cheeses are high quality, and their sandwiches are fresh, flavorful, and generously sized. It’s casual and welcoming — a great place to grab a quick, satisfying bite or pick up some specialty items.

Was referred to them by an Italian client many years ago to get their fresh sausage. Been a customer since and over 20 years. Plus they have an amazing selection of other products you won't find elsewhere.

I had been wanting to try Compliments Only for a while because it had so much hype on social media! The employees were very friendly and the location is cute. I got the Teamster sub, which was very delicious! I personally can’t justify $17 for one sandwich though, especially since the olive oil/vinegar made the bread soggy when I tried to save half for later. They certainly pack a ton of meat and toppings into the subs though, so I can see why it is expensive. I probably won’t be returning unless I am with a friend to split with, but I would still recommend it overall!

My friend and I stopped off for a quick lunch on a busy day. The Tuna Salad ($10) and Sicky Wicky Club ($15) sandwiches were huge and really good. Next time we'll just get one and share it with a side.

Service on a Friday afternoon is quick and simple! I got the farmers market after dark - would consider adding the fresh mozzarella or chips next time. The sandwich was great, as was the bread, but oh my god so much shredduce. Packed to the brim and the peppers bring some really great flavor. It’s the one vegetarian option they have, I would be happy to come back but I’m not rushing.

I have been following this place on social media for a while and waiting patiently for a time to be in DC during the day to try it. It did not disappoint 🥪🥪🥪 The staff was awesome and the subs were even awesomer I tried the crunchy boi - turkey, provolone, and potato chips. Just as amazing as imagined. My wife had the veggie option - farmers market after dark. She loved it This place is it. Best subs in DC. Period

Had their seasonal special The Big Dipper- best. sandwhich. ever. It's ridiculously good. Great portion too! Their coke happy hour is also amazing. I ❤️ this place, can't wait to come back

Interesting concept. Cocktails were OK- I’d say slightly below par when comparing it to other nearby bars in that price range. Menu was a bit limited as well. Atmosphere was fine and the service was friendly. Didn’t get any food but it looked tasty.

UPDATE - May 2025 Whenever I’m in the area by the Washington Convention Center and looking to grab lunch, Your Only Friend still always comes to mind. Their sandwiches are always good! Decided to dine-in this time on a recent Saturday, and it was packed! We were lucky to get a seat. The service was great. The weekend menu is varied and includes mimosas, migas and a Spam sandwich. Sadly, the ever popular roasted pork Asian-inspired themed sandwich the RPG was sold out, so we went with the turkey sandwich. A tried & true selection. If you want a well-made, flavorful & hearty sandwich, stop by Your Only Friend. It’s an unsuspecting hidden gem tucked in a pub/bar across from the Washington DC Convention Center in downtown DC. I’ve been a few times and each time had sandwiches that were memorable. The first time my colleague and I split two sandwiches. We got the RPG which was an Asian sandwich with the most flavorful, moist and tender pork belly dressed with an Asian slaw along with a roasted turkey sandwich. Both were tucked into the freshest bread. They also have Mexican Coca Cola, for those who enjoy this version, which I do. If you’re looking for a well-made, delicious sandwich, Your Only Friend is worth becoming a new friend in your foodie circle.

Your Only Friend is such a quirky, fun little gem—exactly the kind of spot that makes DC’s food scene exciting. The vibe is playful and creative, and the menu completely delivers on flavor. I tried one of their over-the-top sandwiches and it was incredible—huge, flavorful, and totally unique. The cocktails were just as fun and thoughtfully made, with unexpected twists that totally worked. The staff were friendly and clearly love what they’re doing, which makes the whole experience even better. It’s the perfect place to try something new, kick back, and just enjoy yourself. I've been super excited to try this place and had a fine experience overall. The decor inside is really well done and the stained glass over the bar is really cool and fun. The music was a bit loud, but other than that it's a nice atmosphere. The food was good and the Spicy Panes con Pavo was excellent. The sandwiches were big which was great. The cocktails were fine, but more expensive than what they're probably worth. I'm not sure I'd order a cocktail if I go back. The service could use a bit of attention. They don't take reservations and don't really have a system for tracking walk-ins. We were told we'd be seated as soon as a table left, but then watched other people get seated before us. It's also unclear if they have servers assigned to tables or if they all serve all of the tables. Either way, we never got water refilled and waited quite a bit for our check. Overall the food was worth the price, but I feel like they still have a bit to figure out with the drinks and service.

This is like a hidden gem right in front of your face. Staff are so friendly and attentive, the bartender was fantastic, and the food was incredible. We stopped by for lunch last Saturday around 11:30am, with only a few people inside. We sat in the bar area at a table and ordered two cocktails, the Midori Ecto-cooler and Rugbrød, so delicious. Our sandwiches were phenomenal. The Chicky Pep No. 2, special Country Katsu, and a side of onion rings. Mine fell apart with all the good toppings, but it was still amazing. As we were finishing, our server offered us little samples of the Clarified Orange Julius and it tasted just like the real thing. Definitely one of our new favorite spots. Even though I recommend it to everyone, I hope it doesn't get too busy so we can still get a table.

You’re in the right the place when compromising on your order STILL includes 5 sandwiches. My brother and I arrived right at 11 on a Saturday to a flourishing back kitchen and welcoming staff. And, after viewing the open kitchen, we pivoted right. An open room hosting a centered, round bar is where we met our soon-to-be server and our sandwich sommelier. He answered any/all questions then advised we move to a bigger table once we decided on the order. Protip right there... Our order consisted of the following: Chicky Pep No.2, Mort & Mootz, Spicy Panes Con Pavo, The RPG and Gas Station Migos. ‘Migos appears to not yet be a menu staple so that was my first vote. The remaining four were toss-ups yet curated choices. See, I’m not picky but aim for sandwich size. My brother, on the other hand, IS and aims for quality above all. Your Only Friend showcases both. Again, came to the right place. Sandwiches came out one after another in no particular order. Oh, and after the quickly prepared and promptly fried Cool Ranch Dorito’d onion rings. Meant to mention these. Much like every single sandwich were phenomenal. Review over. Really though, there’s no ranking. No comparison. No YOF “favorite” here. Every sandwich from the 5(!) were standouts, worthy of all the glory and praise one could give, well, a sandwich individually. Quality coupled with satisfaction delivered bite by bite made ordering dessert a no brainer. Insert the Atlantic Beach Pie, a custard pie reminding me of a tartless Key Lime one if there ever was such a thing. Well done. While I don’t plan on ordering 5 sandwiches my next visit, I DO plan on returning for cocktails and wings. Oh, and their absinthe pie! Pretty sure it won’t have me hallucinating on how great it is either...

We tried to be open minded after hearing mixed reviews. We should have listened… we both got the Philly special it was very dry filled with lettuce onions and tomatoes were on top of the sandwich we asked for grilled and got extra red onion. Asked for extra mayo and I think they forgot. We were also missing the bacon. Sloppy presentation taste and way too many missing ingredients…. Also is was very hot inside

I was the first customer of the day as soon as they opened up. Had their version of a chicken parm sandwich with vodka sauce. There was also a generous sizes of mozzarella cheese on it. Sandwich was great. The tables were not very clean from the day before. They eventually attended to it after being open for 20 minutes. Can’t go wrong with getting a hot sandwich here.

Grazie Grazie has amazing pizza. I work right around the corner. My coworkers and I go here way too much but the food is great and it keeps bringing us back! The mozzarella cubes and pizzas are our favorites. The first couple of times was weird because the pickup station is not where you pick up your food and the first time we ordered, the restaurant accepted an order when they were closed so we had to ask for refunds the next day. It's been smooth as possible since then and the staff is always super friendly!!

Great staff, amazing food, and overall terrific atmosphere. It will leave you really saying Grazie! I throughly enjoyed my after work lunch with a friend here, we were treated with care and it showed that the staff took pride in their work. Environment cleanliness was top notch and food was spectacular. 10/10 would recommend.

Amazing food ! Sandwiches are great. Great taste for a great price. Potato salad doesn’t disappoint at all. The chocolate cookies are soft. I made a last minute catering order and Leo the manager from Grazie made it possible! Thank you so much to her and her incredible team! The picture doesn’t do the food justice but everything was incredible.

Ordered delivery and the cheesesteak was fantastic. Flavorful, generous with the meat, and the toppings were excellent. The only knock I’d give is that something to dip the fries in would be nice (I didn’t see an option for anything). That said, they give you a ton and I barely made a dent. Great place!

I was with a party of 8 and it was our first visit. The food was delicious, however, I do not believe they are equipped to handle larger parties. We waited quite some time for water, drink orders and food. The servers were walking around as if they did not know which tables to serve. Overall, once we did receive service…..it was good. I would definitely try it again. I ordered the shrimp and crab salad….so delicious!

Founding Farmers Nice place to gather after a busy day viewing museums. The location was easy to find. The Labor Day holiday allowed free and easy access to street parking. The restaurant is spacious and inviting with a nice outdoor patio area. Service was prompt and friendly. Their lunch/ dinner menu was quite extensive. I did wish was that the music was toned down in volume. Their menu was quite extensive and the prices seemed about par for the area. The fried green tomatoes was ok, but I would have liked a lighter touch to the batter that was used. I had the Shrimp and Grits, Andouille which was a bit salty and the portion of grits was quite meager. But everyone completed their meal and were well filled. I hear their brunch is quite popular.

The spicy chicken sandwich was delicious. Had the right amount of heat and flavor. The beignets where a miss. They tasted like a fried donut, very heavy and doughy. Verus a light and fluffy beignet. Service is fast and staff is nice and helpful.

We did brunch buffet this past weekend and to he honest it was alright. We went there 11:30sh and most of the food are not getting refilled or they take long to refill. Location: It is located along Massachusetts Avenue. There is a lot of seatings inside and the main buffet spot is in the middle. Service: the guy served us was good. Food: to be honest the food was alright. It is a hit and missed. Most of the food trays are empty so you have to go back twice or trice to check if they refill it which they don’t. My favorites were the ribs, roast beef, beignet which you must get!!! Otherwise other food is generic. Also not much choices for a $45 dollar buffet. Price rating: 9/10. We pay $110 for 2 people including tips. It is probably worth it if they refill food quickly. Will probably not come back for buffet here, maybe regular menu is better.

Dining experience went well. We had the brunch buffet. The Southern fried chicken and the mashed potatoes were definitely my favorite. There were several items that were overcooked (Chinese fried chicken, bourbon like chicken, fried shrimp, the glazed salmon and catfish. Sacha, our server, was great. She was attentive and knowledgeable. We even tried some a la carte items that we did not really care for (the crab dip). The cheesy buckwheat grits were “different.” They tasted good but the texture was not that of your normal grits.

My husband and I stopped here for an early lunch on a Sunday. There were a few groups waiting to be seated at a table when we walked in, but we were able to find some open seats at the bar. It was very lively with the breakfast/brunch bar, but we decided to order coffees and sandwiches. I got a hot mocha with no whip, while my husband ordered an iced vanilla latte. Both were ridiculously good, nice espresso-forward flavors without being overly sweet. The sandwiches look so unassuming (my husband had the pastrami and I had the turkey BLT), but are huge and sooooo good. Hand cut fries were delicious and the onion rings are massive, yet so soft and crispy! Definitely no biting into these onion rings where the whole onion pulls away from the breading. We both were only able to eat half of our meals at the time, but they also packed well to-go and ate nicely after sitting in the fridge for a bit. Definitely a spot we’ll pop into again when we’re in the area!

This place was okay. The service was a bit shotty because the restaurant is super busy. I could tell that our waiter was a bit irritated sometimes but overall our group had a good experience. I had the drunken noodles but I didn’t feel they were that great. It was very oily and I pretty much only ate the onions and protein in it. The biscuit was really good but they definitely came out cold.

Beautiful restaurant. Nice staff. Lovely ambiance. And while I appreciate fusions and personally love to indulge in a vast array of tastes and flavors, I unfortunately did not enjoy the flavors of my initial dish (fried chicken w/gochujang and blue cheese and ginger broccolini and the alcoholic drink that was their take on peach tea). I love these flavors separately but together they did not work well to me. Manager, Mikayla and the Guest Relations worker were both very accommodating and understanding which I truly appreciated because I am not fond of having to ask for a dish to be returned. I ended up getting the burger with bacon jam and the Waayy South drink and both items were Delicious!!! Another person in my party ordered the shrimp and grits and loved it as well!

Making reservations online was quick and easy. When we arrived, we were seated right away — even earlier than our scheduled time. The atmosphere had a nostalgic charm that I really enjoyed. While the menu had limited options and no pictures, I checked a few reviews beforehand and decided on the ribeye steak entrée, while the kids went with the cheeseburgers. The food did not disappoint! The ribeye was cooked perfectly and portioned generously — I had enough for two meals. The kids devoured their cheeseburgers completely. I left full, happy, and very satisfied with our dining experience.

Stopped by Succotash at National Harbor for happy hour and it did not disappoint! 🍸 The drinks hit the spot and the Everything Platter was a fun way to sample a little bit of everything. The Asian-inspired cauliflower was a standout—crispy and flavorful, it reminded me of a top-notch General Tso’s. And the fried pickles? They absolutely tickled me—perfectly crunchy with just the right tang. Wow!!! Your taste buds are going to love this place. I wanted a quick small lunch and was pleasantly overwhelmed by the flavors. Great options for vegetarians. I had the deviled eggs, crispy Korean cauliflower, succotash and sweet bourbon pickled jalapeño. Great fusion of flavors!!!

Succotash is well-known for its delicious food, and it’s always busy—which makes getting a table feel like a treat in itself. On this visit, however, something unusual happened: the server originally assigned to our table disappeared, and somehow our order was lost in the process. We waited long enough to see the table next to us (who arrived later) finish their meal and leave, so we finally asked their server for help. Thankfully, that server kindly took over our table, brought out all of our food, and gave us excellent service for the rest of the meal. The food was, as always, very tasty, and the cocktails were especially good. Despite the rough start, the great service and delicious dishes made it a positive experience overall.

Succotash is an extraordinary example of blending two different cusines right. Atmospheric dim lighting alongside beautiful wooden architecture creates a cozy and comfortable dining experience. The service was fantastic, and I recommend the Taste the South set of dishes, which are very filling, delicious, and affordable at 29 dollars a person. Honestly, I probably would put this restaurant as one of the best in the National Harbor area! I'll definitely come back to here sometimes in the future. :D

This rating is more so based off the food. My wife and I tried the “Taste of the South” and was highly disappointed. I may have enjoyed 2 samples but my wife only liked the catfish. Nearly 95% of food wasn’t season well. I thought the chicken and waffle was okay but I’ve had much better fried chicken. Now on a positive note, the manager Alyssa was very welcoming! She honestly saved this rating from being 1-2 stars. Our waiter was okay, he was a Hispanic guy (can’t remember name) but he wasn’t over the top exceptional. Didn’t do anything bad, just felt like he was there doing to his job. This restaurant NEED better lighting! It’s super dark! We needed our phone light to see the menu. The vibe was upbeat with a very dim setting. The only light we had was candle light. It was terrible.

This place serves the BEST Reuben Sandwich I've had and I've eaten a lot of them. There is a diner and a full hot bar with food deli, and a dessert cooler. I left with two Reubens, two fries and two Napoleons, the Napoleon (dessert) was to DIE for. This dessert has always been hard to find in the wild, but Parkway did it, they serve these delicacies and they are delicious. I highly recommend checkung this place out, grab a Reuben and Napoleon if this is your gig and dig IN!

Second visit here for me. My man loves a deli!!! I had the chicken cheesesteak with hots and he had the hot pastrami Reuben. He always enjoys a pickle bar! This was our first time trying eggplant “fries”. Crispy on the outside soft in the middle. I enjoyed them! And of course we grabbed chocolate top cookies and humantashen on the way out.

Neighborhood restaurant with a lively atmosphere and varied menu! we ordered the pastrami Reuben, the Italian sandwich, and the Mac and cheese! big portions - I think the Reuben was our favourite thing and could have been split! Pickle bar available when you eat inside is great!

Been a couple of times, and even had some things I wasn't in awe over. That being said I had an amazing dinner Friday and they really take pride in their food. Comfortable place, decent prices, and mostly 'hit' on the food choices. Some of the specials are really solid as well. Great place, expect to go back at least 3 times in the next week. Strongest recommendation though you may have to try a bunch of things to know the solid winners. That's fine, it's not too expensive.

Definitely coming back to this restaurant, the staff were amazing, the food was out of this world. Can’t say enough good things about this place, if you like Reuben this is the place to get the best one.

Good sandwich, but the prices for add-ons left a bad taste in my mouth. $2.50 for avocado. See pic. Over $6 for onion rings. See pic, but my husband had taken one off the plate. Still, more than $1 per ring, and they’re not particularly good. We expected generous portions of both an avocado and rings because why wouldn’t we? Disappointed. We enjoyed the pickle bar, and the service was exceptional. Yummy desserts.

We had a birthday dinner here for a group of 12, and it was super easy to coordinate. We were seated in the bar area, which was lively. The overall vibe is really nice—definitely a good spot for a date night, girls’ night out, or even a group celebration. As for the food... it was just okay. Nothing really stood out as amazing, but nothing was bad either. It feels like one of those places that’s more about the atmosphere than the food itself.

Server was on point and the atmosphere felt very welcoming. I went here to eat dinner with my family for my graduation dinner and it was delicious. The only complain was the pasta was a tad bit under. Other than that all dishes were excellent. Potato puree, side of mushrooms, and ceaser salad were amazing. The dessert was easily my favorite part. I was treated to a Bomboloni as the server was attentive knowing I graduated. Again this was top service. Lastly, the Salted Caramel Meringata was one of the best desserts I’ve had and it looked similar to the famous Baked Alaskan dessert in terms of presentation. Highly recommend.

One of my favorite spots! I’ve been here many times for dinner, but this was our first happy hour. I cannot rave about it enough. Their happy hour is Monday-Sunday 3-6pm. Many drink options and lots of variety for food too. Fast service, phenomenal cocktails, and fun atmosphere. House music, dimmed lights, it’s a vibe.

We went during restaurant week and absolutely loved this place. This is lovely Italian, not Italian American. The wine list is extensive with massive range of prices. We sat outside and it was perfect. inside is cool and has a good vibe. We will definitely go back.

Best Italian experience you can have in Washington! We are amazed by RPM, best Italian food you can have here and best service ever. From the beginning, Kat was amazing! She is so kind and so professional, she speak even a perfect Italian so if you want some explanation about the food she will very happy to help you. About the food, we tried different plates and everyone was absolutely perfect! I really suggest you to try the truffle pizza and the ribeye, FENOMENAL. The pasta is also fresh made and perfectly cooked and you can also feel the freshness of the ingredients! RPM is one of the place where you have to stop if you visit Washington or if you live here, you for sure will come back again!

My wife and I went here for our 1st wedding anniversary and we were treated like royalty. The vibes were incredible. The staff were true professionals, we were more than taken care of during our time spent here. Food was delicious and portions were plentiful - neither of us left hungry. But leave space for dessert - the flaming ice cream cake was outstanding. Cocktails were extraordinary - definitely get an espresso martini (or 2). Can’t recommend enough, our time at RPM was a night to remember.

Went here for a calm date with my wife. Our waiter John was very sophisticated the way he catered to us and helped us picking our meals. What a cool spot! So much character and many options for food, shops, and experiences! A gem in DC, IMO. Lots of motivational art, so if you’re in the need of an artistic pep talk and so many different cuisines of food you might be craving, this is the place!

Union Market is a vibrant destination packed with diverse food vendors serving everything from casual meals to unique drinks and delicious desserts, all at reasonable prices. The fun extends beyond the market, especially with events like this weekend's "Race the District" go-karting in the parking lot. With its many surrounding wholesale stores, the whole area is full of interesting things to explore.

I tried Fishwife and got the Invasive Fish Sando. This is also the first time I have been at this market. The blue catfish was deep fried light yet with a lot of crispness. It was definitely worth the purchase because it didn't feel heavy in the stomach. The wait time was about 10-15 minutes because they were quite a number of people, but the employees were patient and considerate as they made sure that each customer got their order by double checking and had good attitude! I would definitely come visit again!

Something for everyone can be found here. Great food and culture combine for this large indoor market. A large variety of different entrees, prepared food, market fresh items or sundries. A must visit if you're in DC. Kids friendly. Prices are reasonable. I'll stop by anytime I'm in the area.

Union market stands as one of the best food markets DC has to offer. Only competition I believe is Eastern market. Union offers a vibrant array of food and drinks and events. The video is from an Asian festival they held on the roof where local DC restaurants popped up stalls to offer their cuisine. Plethora of outdoor and indoor seating. Great for grabbing a bite for lunch, grabbing some fresh meat or fish, or an evening out with friends. It's an area I find myself coming back to again and again.

Great atmosphere for both indoors and patio seatings. They offer varieties of cocktails and the ones we tried out were all delicious. Guacamole was a bit lackluster, but the fajita was fantastic. Overall, we’ve enjoyed our time here.

It was a wonderful dinner experience. I ordered 2 tacos and 2 platillos. The “Camaros taco” was my favorite, and I definitely recommend trying the “Quesabirria”. Everything was delicious. Our server T.K. gave us detailed explanations about the menu before and after the service and helped us with our choices. With such great service and flavors, it turned into a memorable evening. I will definitely come back!

Mi Vida was given to us as a recommendation for dinner. I had no idea it was going to be some of the best food I have had! We ended up doing more Al a cart and smaller dishes to share. We had the Brussels sprouts, egg rolls, burra, and queso fundido. With out a doubt, the Brussels sprout dish blew me out of the water. It had such a unique taste that just makes my mouth water as I type this. There were caramelized pecans and cranberries also in this dish with a limecrema sauce that went on top. Everything else was amazing and as expected but by far we found our favorite dish. The drinks were amazing and our service was nice! The third floor has amazing views and worth sitting up there if you get the opportunity. Check this place out too!

Totally enjoyed the experience here. The restaurant itself is beautiful and well spaced out. Our waitress was very helpful in suggesting what to order! We had the chips and salsa, frozen margaritas, pescado tacos, quesobirria, chocolate cake and flan for dessert. I will say I was a little let down by the tacos, it felt like they needed more sauce or something had been left off- while edible, just tasted incomplete. Other than that, everything else we had was great, we would definitely come back if we lived locally!

Love the atmosphere here. Eclectic and fun decor. Good vibes. River views and great food! We stopped in for snack and a drink. The chips and salsa were some of the best we’ve ever had. Great heat level for the salsa. Great chips that were sturdy for dipping and flavorful. Francesca was a good server and had great recommendations for the menu. She did seem perturbed when we asked for more chips for the salsa but other than that, she was great. The views were good. The wait was next to nothing. Good experience overall. We would definitely comeback.

Great spot for Mexican food! Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was really nice. Prices are a bit on the higher side compared to other places, but the quality definitely shows. Worth it if you’re looking for a solid meal and a good experience.

Everything was amazing from beginning to end!! Shout out to Wendy, our server who was attentive without overdoing it. Placed everything down gently and with grace. We came in to celebrate our daughter’s 9th birthday, which I put in the notes & I loved the attention to detail because I did not have to repeat myself. Which is my favorite. So thank you for that! For started we ordered some cocktails, my drink was your typical and tropical Malibu with Pineapple splasha’ cran, nothing crazy. My husband order the Pinada? It was delicious! Nice twist on a tradition Mai tai. For appetizers we ordered the tacos dorados & chips & salsa. It was delicious and so fresh! The tacos dorados tasted just like home. For dinner, I ordered the Birria with a side of rice and beans. My husband ordered the Carne Asada. Beautifully done and plated. It was my first time trying the Birria- ever! And this gave me a great start for it. Our daughter ordered a kids chicken quesadilla with chips and still, fantastic! We skipped on dessert as we were SO full! However, Wendy brought out a complimentary brownie & candle. Ugh, everything was fantastic. Thank you guys again for having us and giving us such a pleasant experience. We come from Boston, where we have high expectations and standards for food, beverages and hospitality. 10/10 recommend.

I’ve gone for bottomless mimosas & happy hour, and both experiences were phenomenal! The prices are reasonable, quality of food and drinks is great, and more importantly, the staff is fantastic. You can tell that they want you to come back and become regulars, which I always appreciate it.

Absolutely Delicious Burger and Top notch Mac n Cheese!!!! Staff were super friendly and their service was attentive. The reviews for this place were spot on as all the food was tasty. Definitely get the burger & Mac n cheese they will not disappoint. The patio was very peaceful and inside was cozy. The only knock was their bathroom was extremely tiny. Overall this place has amazing food and top notch service.

We stopped for dinner both had the waygu burgers, one was regular, one was gluten free. The gluten free was delicious. Had the lemon curd with strawberries was absolutely delicious and the hubby said the toffee bread pudding was delicious and the portion was huge

Fun, delicious, and great service. We come to DC often and this place is one of the best. They made my burger into a lettuce wrap - yum - and with an egg and bacon. Keto heaven.

I wanted to love my burger but it wasn’t my favorite. It was tasty, but a little too greasy for me. Ordered a cocktail and it was way too sweet. The caramelized onion dip with chips was way too salty. Unfortunately they only had one person staffed upstairs when we went so service was slow (felt bad for her). Atmosphere is nice and seems like a cute neighborhood spot. Maybe I’ll try the happy hour next time.

Our "go-to" place was closed due to a fire, so we had to try a new spot. The Salmon Croquettes were super rich but amazing! I enjoyed the Butter Chicken. Some good local beers and interesting place. It was quite loud when it was busy, but we'll be back!

My first time at Duke’s grocery and it did not disappoint. Coincidentally went here on national cheeseburger day and their highly acclaimed Proper Burger did not disappoint! They offer it either medium rare or well done I chose the former and loved it! When in DC I will definitely be back at Duke‘s for a Proper Burger. Also had the Loco Elote or crazy corn, which is basically street corn in a bowl with cheese and peppers. It too was delicious!

Amazing food and atmosphere, portions were very small! We got the butter chicken, lamb, and garlic naan. The butter chicken is the BEST ive had in DC. This beats Rasika down the street. It was more expensive. The dish here being $25 while Rasika is $20. The lamb was okay. It could have been softer. The garlic naan was standard good. My bought comment is that the entree is NOT A LOT of meat. I had maybe 6-7 meat pieces (see my photos) in my dish and so did the butter chicken. They make up for it by giving a lot of sauce. Each entree is $25-$30 so the least I would hope for is more meat. Amazing food tasting food thi. Another small comment, I could barely understand my waiter and I think I’m pretty good with Asian accents having lived in Southeast Asia for 11 years growing up.

The food was interesting. Im big on Indian food and my friend is Indian so we were looking forward to this but it failed to deliver. The chicken tandoori was great, but that was all. The kebob had an overwhelming taste of cumin and nothing else. We thought the chickpea dish would be more like chole/chana, while it wasn't, it was still good. I got the paneer pasanda but the masala on it was too sour/bitter and the paneer was too oily. Service was good, but for 20% automatic gratuity, we expected more. I mentioned my paneer was too sour and didn't want it but they still packed it for us to go...lol The portion sizes are tiny for the price but at least the server did warn us. We did not realize the still water was $9 per bottle, but ig thats on us.

I went to Karizma on a Saturday for lunch and in my experience it was average. The menu options are lack luster. There's just 3 options for vegetation appetizers I tried the fennel paneer tikka which was soft but lacked marination. For the main course I tried the paneer pasanda the portion was small and lacked spice. Naan as usual not authentic and rather tasted like bread. On top of their elevated prices they charge 20% compulsory service charge which is never communicated or mentioned on the menu. This place is just hyped up so skip it if you want to have authentic and good indian food.

The food was alright. I was expecting much tastier food but everything seemed like it lacked some salt an me flavour in general. Didn’t taste authentic in any way. The staff is really nice and the vibe is good too.

Our time at Karma was decent, but not mind blowing. If it weren’t for the awesome service and the cool, open vibe, the food alone might’ve only earned a 3 or 3.5. The servers were super friendly, knew their stuff, and were really helpful. The atmosphere is a breath of fresh air compared to other spots in the area, with plenty of space between tables. The food was just okay, not spectacular. The presentation was top notch, but the flavors varied from just okay to pretty decent! The Paneer Pasanda was the standout dish, easily earning a 4-star rating. The roasted eggplant and goat cheese naan were just okay, nothing to rave about. The Kakori kebab was also good, but the lamb chops were just meh. The drinks were a letdown. On paper, they looked intriguing and delicious, but in reality, they tasted watery and unremarkable. The drinks were probably the biggest letdown. Overall, it was an okay experience, but I’m not waiting to go back.

Phenomenal experience at Karma! Upscale fine dining with custom menu that elevates the Indian cuisine experience. We enjoyed the Bhatti Murgh Skewers, Fennel Paneer Tikka, Dal Makani Lachha Paratha & Chicken chettinad. The food was excellent, flavorful and fresh. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the DC area!

Food is good. Indian cuisine with more of American feel. The ambiance is nice and the drinks are very good. Highly recommend the navigator.

Tried this place on a whim with my wife and I'm glad we did. Mostly great food - the veggie curry puffs are akin to samosas but the dipping sauce makes it 10x better. The fried rice was refreshingly delicious. The BKK wings are marked as spicy on the menu but they were very sweet. This is the only reason for 4 stars & not 5. The portion (~5 wings) was sufficient for me. My wife also liked the Thai tea. Service was prompt and courteous. Servers were very attentive and we were tended to very quickly and efficiently. The restaurant's vibe is very fantasy-like. I liked the major piece (photographed) and the seating arrangements. They also have an upstairs section. One thing to note is that the restroom is upstairs so if you have limited mobility, this will be a concern.

Summer was our Server; what a delight! Their specialty cocktails; Crazy Thai Lady and Elderberry Old Fashion were well made and delicious. The Bikini Shrimp Rolls and the Thai Chef Dumplings are very appetizing. We also shared a Poh Tak Seafood platter; Wow! So tasty. The decor is cozy and the service team all works together seamlessly. If you're looking for a standout dish, I can't recommend the curry catfish enough. It's so good and delectable, you'll want to lick the plate clean! To complement your meal, the Purple Rain is an absolute must-try.

Really enjoyed my experience here! The interior is beautifully designed — modern but still cozy, with a great bar setup that adds to the vibe. The food was excellent — full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for both the atmosphere and the food.

Came here with my family of four — and apparently that makes us easy targets. They slapped on a 20% “service charge” automatically, even though the menu clearly says it only applies to five or more. That’s called misleading customers where I’m from. Then they had the nerve to suggest extra tips on top of the total that already included the service fee. So basically, they wanted us to tip on the tip. Absolute nonsense. As for the staff — the Thai waitresses looked like we ruined their day just by walking in. Eye rolls, cold faces, zero effort. If you can’t stand serving people, maybe do everyone a favor and don’t. Nobody’s forcing you to be here. I’ve been here several times before, but after tonight, that’s it. You’ve lost a loyal customer for good. This kind of arrogance and shady billing doesn’t deserve to survive. Enjoy squeezing a few more dollars out of people — it won’t last long.

Such a fun spot. The colorful, fabric-rich decorations give the place a lively and inviting vibe that excites the appetite. We ordered the Tom Ka, Poh Tak Seafood, and Southerner’s Comfort, and all are delicious. The Poh Tak and Southerner’s Comfort both had a nice kick to them, balanced well with fragrant herbs and spices. The long beans added a contrasting crunch to the dish, really fun to eat. The jasmine rice was the perfect vessel to soak up all that flavorful sauce. Highly recommend all three! Service was fast and friendly. They also have an amazing happy hour with a wide selection of drinks and Thai street food favorites. I’ll definitely be coming back for that. If you’re in the area and craving bold, satisfying Thai food in a fun setting, Thai Chef is a solid choice.

I hate to mark the place down because I had fun and loved the atmosphere but I had stomach issues for a full day after eating here. There is also a bit of a service issue. They bring items randomly: main first, starter in the middle of the main. The place is lovely and I assume I was unlucky with my dish.

I’ve ordered pizza here a number of times and the experience swings drastically. I always get the Diavola. Twice the pizza has been great! Another time the pizza crust was burned but the dough somehow still raw - I asked them to put it back in the oven and got an attitude. Additionally, wait times can be quite long. Last time I visited, I waited close to 45 minutes for dine in service. Overall decent but think they need more consistency.

I’ve heard great things about Menomale and it did live up to the hype. My wife and I went in to order take out. They have a very detailed menu with plenty of options so it took a while to determine what we wanted. It would have been nice to have some images associated with the menu but nevertheless when I saw the brick oven I knew what I was in for. My wife just wanted a pepperoni pizza so the host explained that it is possible, just a small deviation from one of the items on the menu. The food took about 10 minutes to prepare. I can’t lie, my wife said this was one of the best pizzas she’s ever had (prior to our visit her favorite pizza was Andy’s). The verde calzone was fantastic as well. You can taste and tell the authenticity of their food in each bite. We visited south of Italy a few year ago, Palermo, and might I say the quality of food at Menomale matched our pizza experience in Italy. I will be back to this spot.

I had the pleasure of going to a pizza party happy hour at Menomale which was my first time. The pizzeria owner Mariya Rusciano gave a very frank discussion of two major issues facing small businesses in DC and the minimum wage laws. Also, about recent legislation on the Dram Shop laws facing DC Council. The authentic Neopliotan pizza was excellent! Great drinks and very nice atmosphere. I plan to tell friends about it and do plan to come again.

This is one of the best Napoletana Pizza Restaurant. It is as if you are dinning in Italy where the mouth watering pizza is prepared. The atmosphere is family ornted. It is good place to take your young ones for a healthy pizza fun time. It is also good place to celebrate Birthdays and Engagements. Our Community is enhanced by their hardworking entrepreneurship. One of the best pizza places in DC, for me there are no questions about it. The staff is friendly and courteous, the food is tasteful and just fantastic, and the environment is pretty good. Menomale is such a charming spot! The pizza is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, and the space feels cozy yet stylish. The staff are friendly and welcoming, making the experience effortless and enjoyable. Definitely a place I’d return to for a casual, chic meal.

Surrounded by many other restaurants, don't overlook this tiny Greek fast-casual restaurant with a large menu of all the usual Greek fixings. I ordered their traditional gyro and it was the perfect amount of food and quite tasty. Since they don't give cups of water, I bought two bottles of water. My bill came to over $21. They also have a small fridge area with other goods and drinks. Inside is one table that sits two.

I used to go here all the time for lunch when I worked on K. I loved it! Everything I got was always amazing. I went back last week, and it wasn't as good. I used to get the gyro all the time and it was outstanding. The meat was tender and tasty, and on the pita with it was diced tomato, onion, and cucumber with fresh dill! The one I got last week was like any other gyro. The meat was good, though on the dry side. The tzatziki sauce seemed the same. On the pita with the meat, though, was just ice burg lettuce with a slice of onion and slice of tomato. It was fine, but not nearly as good.

The traditional gyro is one of the best I've ever had - including when I went to Greece! Great spot for lunch. It's a little bit pricey, but for an independent restaurant with presumably expensive rent that has been here for 35 years, I'm happy to pay a little bit more than usual.

This is by far the most authentic Greek food I’ve had in DC. Tastes like something my grandparents would make, authentic flavors, I’m really impressed. It’s so hard to find casual and good quality Greek food here, and I feel like I’ve just found a gem! I got a plate with rice, lamb and okra. Delicious and again I can’t say enough, authentic as it can get.

One of my favorite lunch spots in the downtown area - the gyro is absolutely to die for. I do wish prices were slightly lower (gyros start at $16), but I also understand it’s an independent restaurant in a high-rent area of DC. The owners are super sweet as well

I bought a Greek Salad w/meat. The WORST GREEK SALAD I EVER HAD!! First, they use iceberg lettuce! The worst lettuce in the world with no flavor or vitamins/minerals in it at all. For the price, we could at least have a better upgrade of lettuce! Second, there were only 2 small olives, 2 banana peppers, NO onions! Really! The salad dressing was TASTELESS and had absolutely NO (greek) vinagarette flavor at all, very horrible. The greek (white/yogurt) sauce was also TERRIBLE, absolutely NO flavor. And the price was $15.99. WOW. What a horrible salad! Never again!!!! The previous owners of this restaurant did not have a problem with their salads, at least they tasted Greek. I wouldn't dare try a real meal item with the prices they charge. HORRIBLE SALAD MAKERS!!

Best soups (chicken lemon or lentil) Gyro was tasty even though was thick sliced (would have really good if thin sliced). Anyway, great place to eat fast and good.

We decided to order from Jetties for a recent meal during a work event and it was delicious. I ordered clam chowder which was flavorful and hearty a custom sandwich which was fresh and perfectly made. Jetties has a good menu with lots of options to make your own salad and/or sandwiches. On a busy Friday night of running around with the kiddos, it’s hard to grab a bite. I was taking my son to a school function and noticed while driving the “Jetties” sign. I knew after dropping off my son, dinner was going to be from Jetties. I was able to find street parking, and was warmly greeted upon walking into the restaurant. Being a previous customer from other locations, I knew I was going to use the kiosk to place my order. While I waited for my food to be served, I was able to walk around. There was ample outdoor seating with lights, looking like a rather romantic area with umbrellas and wooden tables. Within minutes, my order was ready! I order the Tom Never, and my wife order the thirty salad. Both meals were delicious, warm, with generous portions sizes. The one reminder is that Jetties is a cashless restaurant, and they truly value their customers. If you’re looking for great food at a reasonable price, please consider Jetties, you will not regret it. Enjoy!

Exceptional sandwiches for a premium price. Very limited seating so you may behave trouble dining in during rush hours. Also serve a variety of desserts including baked goods and ice cream. Probably one of the best options in the neighborhood.

Amazing and high quality ingredients and the stuffing is to die for. Very filling and large portion size. Wish I had Jetties where I live!!! It seems like they are very allergy friendly which may explain the reviews about longer wait times. We did not have to wait long at all though!

Jetties in D.C. is a neighborhood gem known for its fresh, flavor-packed sandwiches and relaxed vibe. The “Nobadeer” — with turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and mayo on sourdough — is a year-round favorite that tastes like Thanksgiving in every bite. Stopped into Jetties to grab a bite and to call an Uber. Ended up having the most amazing chicken Caesar wrap!! Great food, very efficient ordering, and super friendly staff - what more could you ask for

My first time here and I would definitely come back! The guy that waited on my husband and I was fabulous and explained the menu to us The pizza, we got the Margherita, fantastic. The crust is even amazing. The atmosphere is fun and light. Music isn't super loud and you're able to have a conversation. I highly suggest coming here for their food!!

Ordered two 5in pizzas. Came out fresh and hot. Both had a great tasted and cook just right. My wife really loved the pineapple. I'll be sure to stop in if I am in DC again.

Fun pizza place for a quick bite. They also have some small deli items you can grab like a pickle, cannoli, small little prepackaged salads. The pizza are a tad on the pricy side but it was convent. They have some selections of drinks I’ve never seen like a Shroom Energy drink and a hemp based drink. So might want to be careful what you grab from the drink refrigerator.

This place is an absolute gem. The guys at the counter were great and recommended the bang bang sauce on the wings, it was great. The pizza was excellent, I don't normally post about a pizza joint, but this place deserves a visit. The sauce was tasty, the toppings were cooked to perfection, and again, the service sets the place apart.

We were looking for a quick dinner spot for our family of six and Bozzelli’s was perfect! We ordered three 10” pizzas and there was not a crumb left (we probably could have gone for a 14” and two 10”s). They had an oversize Jenga game that passed the time waiting for our order with some FUN. The pizza was delish and the service was fantastic. Would recommend!

OMG! The dill pickle pizza was so good! I was a little afraid but it was recommended by the guy working there. So glad I did.

Okay. So, WOW! I was in town at a nearby hotel and searched for pizza and this was the first result. I’m back home and still thinking about this pizza. IT WAS SO GOOD! So good, I went twice on my three day visit. I ordered the spicy feta pizza the first time (DELICIOUS! spicy but delicious) so good, I had to come back. The second time I ordered the Classic Italian Mama pizza. Both 9” pizzas and MAN!!! They know how to make pizza. So so so so so so good. I got the banana pudding the second visit, and while pretty expensive ($7) it was also delicious. The only negative, the wings. I ordered the boom boom wings because they looked so good, however, they were not. They were covered in sauce but still didn’t have much flavor. That was the only disappointment. Great drink options, even some alcoholic ones. I sat both inside and outside and enjoyed both. Loved my experience and highly recommend to anyone nearby looking for pizza. ITS DELICIOUS!

Well I heard of Mangialardos & Sons Inc. A while ago through social media. My husband and I decided to stop by at this deli to order our subs before we started to walk around Washington DC. At first it was really hard to find parking, on top of that we saw some constructions going on around the area. After driving around we found parking, and we walked to Mangialardos. The place is really small but just big enough to order and go. I knew that I wanted the 'G Man Sub' this one is highly recommended among other customers and social media posts. My husband ordered the 'Roast Beef and Cheese' sandwich. In my opinion the service is average and the guy didn't seem to have much patience when asking questions. It was our first time there and we came from Virginia to try this place out. Since I lived in NYC for over a decade I was familiar with subs. I took some photos of the place though there's nothing interesting about the interior. A bunch of boxes of supplies in one corner, customers have to stand waiting for the orders. Not even a little bench to sit and wait, let alone eat. You pay the cashier briefly, zip in and zip out. I know it's old-school, family-owned Italian shop that has been in this location since 1953. In my opinion the sandwiches are average for the price. My husband didn't feel he got a value for what either of us paid; esp the roast beef sandwich is much too small and there's nothing on it besides a little cheese and a few peppers. My 'G Man' sub wasn't as tasty as it could be. Maybe for those customers around the area the sandwiches are good and better than nothing. But for someone who is familiar with authentic Italian and gourmet sandwiches from NYC, one will notice the difference with disappointment. It's not worth the trip and the hours are horrible from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm closing Saturday and Sunday.

A friend told me to stop here when I moved to DC. I’m sad I didn’t make the trip sooner. The “G” Man is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I will absolutely be making a better effort to get over here frequently.

I just ordered a turkey and cheese sub on a hard roll! I am so disappointed of the sub I received! If you ever had a sub from Mangialardo's you know they are known for serving generous portions of meat on their subs! This was unlike any sub I had from there before! The meat was such a small amount you barely could see it between the sub roll. It was just thrown together! I have a cousin that lives next door to the location and sent him pictures. He went next door and showed the manager pictures. I asked is this how the subs are made now. The manager responded this is how we always made our subs 4 ounces of turkey! Remind you I been eating there for over 30 years and never had such a skimp sub! Like I said if you been there before you know! Therefore I would've rather heard him say that's the way we make subs now with 4 ounces of turkey! But instead he lied unless the scale need to be calibrated! Lol well they just lost a life long customer and I'm sure they will lose more! Gallo's Italian Grocery and Carryout here I come! 6342 Marlboro Pike District Heights MD. 20747. I will recommend this sub shop to anyone who still want continued great service and good food! I was there a week ago amd they still give generous portions of meat! This was by far the best sandwich Ive had in DC to date! Everything was so fresh and the bread was perfect. The potato salad was good and the brownie was an excellent end. We will be back!

Today was one of my worse experiences here. I found the longest piece of hair in between my cheese. It absolutely turned my stomach. I usually love this place but I know sometimes the employees lack in their hygiene but THIS WAS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!! I’m still gagging from the thought of it!! Who’s DNA touched my TONGUE???

The best sandwich in DC, hands down. Absolutely consistent from one visit to the next, even years apart. Fast and always pleasant service. Amazing value. On a hard roll, the sandwich keeps quite well until dinner — we’ve taken them for an evening picnic before a show at Wolf Trap. I assume the hard roll would also keep till the next day, but I’ve never known anyone to have leftovers. Carry out ONLY. No seating.

I visited this place because of the great reviews, but the food was a bit disappointing. The waffle in the chicken & waffles was too dry, and the wagyu beef burger was overly salty. The sparkling water had a strong tap water taste, making it hard to drink. The restaurant's atmosphere was decent, but the food was underwhelming.

I went to Duke’s Grocery in Foggy Bottom and had an overall great time with friends. The service was decent, though our waitress wasn’t very attentive and we ended up waiting quite a while for the check, which was a little frustrating. That said, the burgers are excellent. The star of the menu was definitely their famous Proper Burger, which was juicy, flavorful, and worth every bit of the hype. Duke’s has a fun, laid-back vibe that feels equally great for casual after-work drinks or just hanging out with friends on a weeknight. Despite the slow service, I left happy and satisfied, and will definitely go back.

Solid visit for a burger and great happy hour deals. We went for dinner and the burgers were great, truffle Mac was excellent, and the bread pudding was lovely. Service was good, drinks were cheap, and atmosphere seemed dive bar meets knights of the round table with a few other oddities. I’d say, stop in if you’re looking for brunch, a burger, or great drink specials.

This place never disappoints. I've been a number of times now and every item I've tried from the menu has been deliciously prepares. I'm sure to return here again. There's a great outdoor area when the weather is good, and a spacious dining room inside. There's also bar seating if you're into that (both downstairs and up)!

My friend wanted to visit here for brunch to get their English breakfast which he thoroughly enjoyed! I ordered the avocado toast which was delicious as well. Servers were attentive and prices were reasonable.

I placed an online to-do order after exploring the African American Museum, Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument. Website was easy to use and it took about 20 mins before my order was ready. My interaction with staff was brief but very pleasant. Burger and fries were delicious.

This is another awesome location for Duke's Grocery. We generally come here for the burgers and other menu options. Making a reservation is generally a good idea. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Service is good as well. We enough the ambiance and the food here. Among our favorites are: The Proper Burger Fish and Chips White Truffle Mac and Cheese Fired Up Chicken Taken With Liberty The desserts are nice too and good enough to share. The cocktails can be a bit of a miss sometimes. The consistency of the quality of the food and service makes it our top spot for burgers and the other menu items ❤️💕

I’ve visited Gatsby twice this month and I want to shout out my servers, Demoyea & Emily. They were both great and very accommodating. Before you go, please note that even with a reservation, your entire party must be in the building before you can be seated. Not parking, not on the way.. in the building Okay now for the food.. they have a few good items and some misses in my opinion. My first visit, I tried the deviled eggs, chicken & waffles, and cinnamon roll. Everything was just okay. The deviled eggs could’ve used some relish to set it off. It was smooth but it was definitely lacking in the flavor department. The chicken & waffles was cool. I love dark meat so the chicken was good. I just could’ve taste the sweet potato in the waffle. And the cinnamon roll was good. The cream cheese frosting is very forward in taste. The second time I got the chicken sandwich and it was good as well. You want to set it off? Add some of their hot sauce to it. It helped elevate the dish a lot. Of course we all got bottomless drinks. It’s not just mimosas so that was a plus! Besides the mimosas, I loved Greta’s Punch. The tequila sunset was cute but very heavy on the prickly pear. Overall, it’s a cute spot! Parking is an extreme sport. There a garages and lots you can pay to park in but it’s pricey.

What a terrible restaurant! Arrived and the music was so loud, that I asked if they could lower it & the hostess firmly said NO without even giving it thought. Then, we sit down for BRUNCH, and i’m expecting good coffee. Turns out, they don’t have a coffee menu, no latte options and NO oat milk to cater to lactose intolerant people! Then the food ? TERRIBLE. I ordered $31 crab cakes egg benedict and the eggs were NOT poached and the hollandaise sauce was dry and plastic. the crab cake was ashy, no seasoning. never coming back and definitely asking for a refund.

I made reservations ahead of time for Saturday brunch. $29.99 for 90 min bottomless brunch mix and match. I like that special. First time experiencing “full table required”. With a deal like this, make sure everyone at the table wants to drink. The whole table has to order, even if only one person wants another drink… Other than that, the food was great! Loved my smash burger. Plus brunch music was lit. (hiphop/r&b) . After the brunch cut off time, the music turns into… pop music. 2 levels for seating. I ubered but my friend had to park in a parking garage down the street. I would go back and try Gatsby again.

The server also didn’t stall in between refills and kept the drinks flowing 10/10! Food was tasty and the DJ was great, can’t wait to return!

This place has bottomless DRINKS for brunch, not just mimosas…DRINKS! That you can switch out each round so if you have the stomach you could try them all, I give that a 10/10. Sunday’s brunch is more family style without a DJ for those with little ones. I went with my 10 year old, mom and sister. I didn’t get a picture of everything but we got the appetizer sampler that came with wings, Rueben egg rolls and cauliflower…We also got spinach dip, pancake potato cakes as an appetizer. The spinach dip was a bit bland, but everything else was phenomenal. For our entrees we got shrimp and grits, smash burger and a side of mac. Their Mac had the best cheese pull I’ve ever seen, it was so gory and cheesy, very delicious! My son loved his burger…the shrimp snd grits were a little bland but I still liked them! Our server was very sweet, she was extremely accommodating and didn’t rush us out at all after we were there for 3 hours lol the bottomless drinks got us. Great pregame spot for the nationals games or national stadium events if you attend one. Loved the experience, will be back!!!

Great brunch experience at Gatsby. The food, service, and ambiance were all amazing. I love the variety of options for the bottomless drinks, and the food was incredible. The biscuits, chicken and waffles, and shrimp and grits are a must try.

Not the best food but you’re here for the bottomless cocktails, right??? Would not rush back for food but the drink special is a fun way to spend the brunch hours in DC. Very cost effective considering the average price or cocktails around Navy Yard and DC in general. Go here with a group and have fun ! I was able to split checks and had a great server by the name of Nicholas.

I enjoyed my meal! Pleasantly surprised with the speed of service for how large the crowd was when we arrived. Portion seemed good except they add so many up charges that it is quite expensive in the end. Do not think $10-15 think more like $18-$22 for not a massive meal. The veggies seemed fresh and the rice was good! Downsides would be that my bulgogi was primarily fat not meat. And the fried egg on top was cold. I liked the style and ease of the order cards!

This is a really neat place. Came with a group of people of very diverse dietary needs and tastes during lunch and everyone got something they loved, those who eat vegan, those who do gluten-free and those who are dairy-free, and it was all tasty. Great noodles and sauces. Plus the people who run the place had a good attitude and simply aimed to serve us. Great choice if you want fresh and custom!

There were only two staff members preparing food, so even though it wasn’t too busy, the wait was longer than expected. Staff was polite but minimal interaction overall. Taste: The food was flavorful and tasted fresh. Everything came together really well in the bowl, and it definitely felt like a more authentic take on a fast-casual rice bowl spot. The ingredients looked and tasted high quality. Ambiance: Very casual, more of a quick-eat or takeout kind of place. Not ideal for a sit-down meal if you’re looking for atmosphere, but it gets the job done for a fast and tasty option. Overall Review: Rice Bowl is a solid spot for a quick and flavorful meal. Just be mindful that it’s more expensive than similar build-your-own places like Cava or Chipotle, especially with add-ons. That said, the food tastes fresh and authentic, so it’s worth trying if you’re nearby.

First time trying the place. We were not sure what to order first but decided to try both rice dish and noodle dish. I did not have high expectation for noodle soup but it was unexpectedly light and good flavor. I picked bulgogi for rice dish. It was good as well. Service was fast. I'd eat here again. There's some gluten free option as well even though no meat for that option.

The owner is very kind and treats the guests with care. If you are in DC, this is an awesome lunch spot. Good price, good quality, good quantity.

We stopped here for a quick bite. We had the Colada Shop Cuban Sandwich, which was delicious. The yucca fries were very crispy, the plantain chips had generous portions, and the piña colada was frosty. The space is large and has a great atmosphere. There’s also indoor seating. All the staff were friendly!

Really great cubano. The breakfast sandwich was very light on meat but still good. A nice place to have a quick bite while walking the Wharf. It was busy on a Sunday and so the food was a bit slow to arrive but glad business was good

Delicious and efficient little place. I liked the pay from table QR system they had, and it made service quick and easy. I ordered one of the sofrito bowls and had it with both the chicken and cauliflower/mushrooms. Amazing flavors and a decent portion size too without feeling heavy. I also ordered the mint and lime spritzer which was nice and refreshing. Would to again!

I visited this tremendous bakery and coffee shop in Washington D.C.'s lively downtown Wharf district at the end of October. Nestled in the Pearl Street corridor, they offer a nice selection of savory, aromatic lattes, pastries and entrees. The brownies are especially moist!

Pulled pork hash on yucca. So good. The pork had great flavor and the yucca was on point. With it didn't come with plastic utensils but easy to forget about after the first bite. So glad I stumbled into the fun spot!

I feel a little mean writing this, but this restaurant wouldn't last a year in business in Miami or NYC. It could only last in a city with minimum competition for cuban restaurants. The ambiance is nice and the menu boasts impressive options. We got cuban sandwiches and I got the new shrimp special. Also ordered a mango tea. The mango tea was the biggest disappointment. It was just a plain black tea, zero flavor whatsoever outside of black tea. The shrimp dish came with a salad with no dressing or seasoning and yucca fries. Yucca fries were good, but I asked for aioli and they completely forgot about it, and it took 10 minutes to get the waitress to notice us again as we were generally ignored. It definitely affected our eating experience to be ignored for so long. The shrimp was a disappointment as they used the lowest quality tiny cocktail shrimp. It would have been so much better if they used large shrimp. The cuban sandwich was good but frankly, the one at Casta's rum bar is better. Would not return.

Stopped here while working a night shift for some takeout, and the service was exceptional. The woman behind the counter brought me water and we had a great conversation while I waited for the food. When the to-go box came out it was quite literally bursting at the seams with injera, so she recommended I eat some before leaving. The injera was fantastic, the ribs were flavorful, and the sides (I got string beans and split peas) were to die for. You can't go wrong. I have never felt so at home while trying to get takeout. I can imagine the service is even better if you dine in.

I went to Ghion because I had never tried Ethiopian food and it was so so so good!! The chicken stew with injera was awesome, and the owners are super nice. I am now a huge fan of Ethiopian food and excited to try it again!

Had dinner here with friends on a Friday night. Had the 7 vege combo with juicy beef between 3 people. Friendly service, the beer was tasty, and the food was delicious. The best I have had. The spicy lentils, collard greens, and beef were just a few of the favourites. I wish I could find a place like this in New Zealand.

This place is amazing. Everyone needs to eat here right now. I ordered beef jerky and spicy lentils, and instructed the man behind the counter to pick his choice of Ethiopian beers. He brought back St. George, which was delicious. The entire time, his demeanor was incredibly friendly and welcoming. My meal did not disappoint. Portion size was generous, and included a side of injera. The food was served hot, and the quality was fantastic. I ordered a second beer. The atmosphere was bright and welcoming, with exposed brick, checkered table cloths, and vibrant colors on the wall. The warmly lit bar area created a friendly and inclusive vibe. Several times, the man checked on me to ensure I was enjoying my meal. I was enjoying myself and let him know it. He insisted I write this review, and the rest is history. Halfway through writing this review, he brought me another beer, and now I’m done writing this review. And that’s how my night has been going so far.

My favourite Ethiopian place to go to when in DC. Down to earth atmosphere. Very friendly owner and staff, great service, and food is wonderful and reasonably priced. Will be back (again).

We went to a show at the 9:30 Club and it had its good points. It was a long drive for us from where we live now and some parts of the evening could have been better. The little Ethiopian joint across the street, however, was amazing. In retrospect, Ghion was the best part of our evening. We stopped in for a bite before the show and I was hoping it would be ok. I had really talked up Ethiopian restaurant food and service. My wife had yet to experience it but the other places I had eaten were good and I was hoping for a repeat. Ghion made me look good. First of all, I defy you to get more stuffed for less money and on food that is that delicious anywhere in the city! We tried SO hard not to eat until we were uncomfortable and neither of us were completely successful. It was Just. So. Yummy! The beef we ordered was (I never use this word) succulent. It was perfectly seasoned and, among the flavors, the cardamom in particular gave the dish a surprising note of sweetness that really rounded it out into something memorable. And, the myriad vegetable dishes that covered our injera-laid table were so flavorful that, had we not ordered meat, I doubt we would have missed it despite being pretty typical American meat eaters. To top it all off, the staff were some of the nicest people I’ve ever encountered in DC. (And, I was born in DC 43 years ago.) I’m not exaggerating or making this up. They held our leftovers AND MY COAT until after the show and hugged us (my hand to G_d, they hugged us) when we came back. No, seriously! In DC! I said, “No, thanks,” to holding our food at first, but it visibly pained our server to throw out what we all know is the best part of the meal (the injera that’s soaked up all that goodness sitting on it) and I finally agreed. She gave us a huge smile and told us how to turn it into the best breakfast ever. I won’t go into why I couldn’t take my coat into the show but they held that, too. We don’t look like anyone famous and we certainly don’t look like high rollers and I don’t think I’ve ever had better service in a restaurant, even ones where I’m a frequent customer. ...I’m not even sure what better service would look like. That is a good experience! Visit Ghion. If the show across the street isn’t great, Ghion stays open late and they even have a little bar. Cheers!

We love La Cosecha. We moved to CA for two years and this was one of our first stops back in DC. We often come here with our kids and they love it also. Peruvian Brothers is a favorite. We have loved every location inside.

Such a gem in the Union Market Hub. I love every eatery here, and if you pull their monthly event calendar, they offer free or discounted salsa classes. Find underground parking offering a few free hours just enough to enjoy a bite with friends or family

Low key less busy food hall with some great options. We elected Peruvian Brothers. The ceviche was awesome. The fish rice bowl was the favorite while the sampler box with plantains and yuka fries was a treat.

Nice place with lovely outdoor seating and multiple indoor eating places. Could have more atmosphere and the prices should be cheaper to be honest, but a nice place nonetheless.

This is a very cool place to hang out especially on the 3rd Thursday of the month when they have salsa dancing. The people are friendly and it's a very casual atmosphere. The food looks very good, I'll do a food review when I've had the chance try one of the restaurants.

This is a great space for Latinx businesses such as home goods boutiques, wine/wine bar and gourmet grocery, food stands and restaurants. There is an upstairs lounge as well as outdoor seating. Even the indoor space is a large open space and it is not crowded like Union Market making it easier to navigate during the pandemic. Would have liked to try more than one of the food stands, but well go back again. Beautiful space and do highly recommend.

This place is busy ! With that being said it’s busy for a reason, they have a lot of great food, pastry and coffee options in a lively atmosphere. The Lebanese flare on some of the signature coffees and croissants sets them apart from the every day spot. A bit pricey I may note, also nice environment to sit and chat with some hummus and pita if you are lucky enough to find a seat.

omg definitely a must-visit if you go to Georgetown. I'm Lebanese so I was thrilled with all the Lebanese inspired pastries and I was so happy to see people enjoying my country's food. Had to wait in line for 10 minutes but totally worth it!

HABIBI!! This is the best gem of DC and Georgetown! The line is 100% worth the wait, and moves very fast. Everything is incredibly flavorful and delicious. Tastebuds will definitely be in heaven. I did confirm that the lamb and chicken are halal! We had the lamb sandwich and chicken sandwich which was packed and they did not skimp on any ingredients. Now I could speak paragraphs about the food but the drinks are worthy of a review of their own. Their cold foam is out of this world! The Moroccan mint tea. Peanut dalgona , coconut cardamom were a huge hit. I have been meaning to try this place and has easily become my absolute favorite in the city. If you come to Georgetown or DC. Yallah is a must try!

I always saw the long lines on weekends, so this time I decided to go during the week, and it worked out. It was still busy, but not nearly as crowded as on the weekend. For my overall experience, I’d definitely give this Café 5 stars, the great food, warm atmosphere, and excellent service. The staff are friendly and quick to preparing your food. If you stay there, you’ll truly enjoy the cozy and welcoming vibe.

Okay Mr. Carl!! show off with your bad-self!!! wow!! this was my first time trying Subb's and boy am I impressed. I am impressed with the turkey sandwich (#9) that I got but most importantly I am impressed with the customer service of this establishment. My sandwich was tasty, filling, and FRESH!! from the very first bite I knew that I was going to enjoy my meal. I am very satisfied with my decision to dine here today and like Mr. Carl asked before I left his shop. I definitely will be back- no questions asked.

Definitely my favorite breakfast spot in the city! Because it's tucked off, you don't get as much traffic in there so it's usually chill and the service is great. Portions are plentiful, food is delicious and it's reasonably priced! They also do really great sandwiches for lunch if you miss breakfast. You can't go wrong with anything you order, trust me!

Lets start by saying i worked their in 2015 to 2016 and i was the carver/sandwich maker. I had to ensure that every customer left with a smile and a well peppered sandwich. Anyway my visit to mgm roast beef at 3:35 pm was rather quick no line so the carver/sandwich guy had plenty of time to prepare my sandwich with quality and care. No beef all fat on this brisket, bread soggy. Not worth 10 dollars.

Family favorite here! While the prices have increased, it is always a treat to myself. The brisket is so tender and juicy! I have tried and failed over and over again to try something new because I’m so obsessed with this sandwich. The staff is always so friendly. Real Talk this is hands-down the best Brisket spot in DC. I’ve been coming here for about 5 years or so. The service has always been outstanding! When ordering any sandwich but in my case specifically a brisket sandwich, there never stingy or skimpy on the meat they always go above and beyond and actually Bless you with so much meat. They have been closed down for a few months for repairs but just went by today and I’m so glad that there back in business!!!! It looks like they’ve might’ve added some new options on the menu, we tried the Burger and it was on Point! I will definitely be ordering one of those next time I come bye. Had the French Dip and it was top-shelf! Wish I had a little salt, but really great roast beef (ALL their meats looked terrifically moist). Was nervous when I saw the thick slices, but its super tender. Came off in easy bites. Didn't have to wrestle with it, you know? Au Jus tasted meaty. Really good sandwich with awesome boardwalk-quality fries. Oh, and everybody working at MGM seemed really happy to be there. Thank you! Will definitely come again!!!!

I came here for breakfast. I got a big plate special with scrambled eggs, sausage, french toast and creamed grits. It was very tasty and had lots of flavour and filled me up. I also got a drink of sweet tea with it that I really liked and not something that you come across in Europe. It was a tad on the expensive side though.

Holy Crap!! This is hands down the BEST breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had! Decided to try DW Deli so I stopped in and ordered a Bacon, egg, & cheese on a croissant and let me tell you…AMAZING!! The croissant is light and flaky, the egg and cheese are great, but the star of the show is the bacon! They give you sooooo much bacon! It’s a dream come true! In addition, the service was great, I got my order super fast, and I love that it has that authentic deli feel! Also, you can’t beat the price!! I can’t wait to come back and get another!!

Stopped in at Leo’s GW Delicatessen and tried the steak and cheese sub. Really tasty and very reasonably priced. The bread was fresh, the steak was flavorful, and the portion size hit the spot. There was a bit of a line when I went around 11 am, but that just tells me the locals know this is the place to be. Definitely worth the wait and I will be coming back to try more from the menu.

What a great breakfast! Food was delish! I got a double egg, provolone, and tomato on asiago bagel. The line was out the door but they got us out within 15-20 minutes. Price is great and so good. We will be back multiple times on this trip!

I’ve been working around this area for almost a year and never knew this place existed. I wish I did because I would come here for breakfast and lunch. 5 stars for 5 reasons 1. The barbecue brisket sub is delicious, juicy, tender and flavorful. I had lettuce, mayo, onions and cheese on it. 2. The price is right for the amount of food I got 3. Quantity is a lot and I could have split the sandwich for someone else. 4. Customer service is nice and the sandwich came out really quick. 5. A lot of other options to chose from and wide range of selection

Had some time between meeting up with friends before concert. Drove by this place and decided to stop by for a quick bite to eat. Small inside area for ordering. Staff was very friendly. Prompt service. We both had the “jive turkey” but with different bread and cheese choices. You can grab chips and a drink to complete your meal. What I like is the outside patio sitting area. Very cute, comfortable covered area with a tv. Will definitely come back and try some other options on.

There was no chili in the “sweet chili mumbo” Wings- it tasteful only Mumbo sauce to me. I’m not a fan of the pineapple lemonade either. Try the big chair Reuben. I need to come back and try other things on the menu.

The King club is my favorite! I like to dress my sandwich with a little extra stuff even-thought is just fine the way they prepare it! I can only eat half for lunch and half for dinner that’s just how fulfilling & satisfying this sandwich is! I have to mention the fresh ingredients is a huge plus!

Surprisingly the customer service was really really good.... But the food portions are sad! Nothing comes with the sandwich? Just a sandwich. The prices are outrageous. I was completely disappointed after spending $18 that I walked away with a sandwich smaller than the palm of my hand and a cup of juice. Not my idea of getting the best "bang for my buck". A "make it a meal" option needs to be added so your customers are full or at least satisfied for lunch. I literally drove from Fredericksburg, VA to eat here because I saw it on Fox 5 News and I'm a foodie, a 1 1/2 hour trip, just to stop again n get more food elsewhere on the way home.

first of all, food takes a long time to cook, secondly its a bit expensive, third, so far everything I've tried,the food is bland, I ordered some Parmesan garlic wings and they were too dry and they did not pull/pluck the hairs on the chicken, yuck. than the blue cheese is too thick with little wetness.

Visited Baker’s Daughter Café and tried the baked egg with vegetables and the egg & avocado sandwich. The sandwich was delicious (5/5) – fresh and flavorful. However, the baked egg didn’t quite hit the mark for me (1.5/5). The café itself was clean and cozy, with a nice shuttered design. Ordering was easy.

The staff is always very friendly even though their customers can kind of suck because they’re all tourists visiting DC in this twisted time in the city. I had the pesto chicken with red onion sandwich and it was ok. 3 of five stars. I couldn’t taste the basil pesto flavor I was craving and the onions were cooked vs raw so I didn’t get that crunchy raw and fresh bite I thought it would have. The chick pea salad was good, but the sandwich fell flat. So why five stars vs three, the guy behind the counter that took my order is awesome. He is friendly, inviting and welcoming. I just left the dentist which means I was drained and I’m a stressed mood. His ability to welcome people got me leaving in a happy mindset. That is a rare trait and a five star experience.

The avocado toast is my favorite item here! The staff are super friendly, and the atmosphere is excellent. On a nice day you enjoy the open air seating while having a meal.

This issue literally just happened, and I thought it was worth putting a review up for it. My wife and I are staying at the Eaton hotel and went downstairs to grab breakfast. We just wanted something light to start the day, so we opted for the parfaits. We got one of the chia parfaits and when we got it back to our room, we saw that the fruit was moldy. Went back to swap it out and see if the had fresh ones, as there’s no date on the containers. The girl behind the counter said i could swap it out, so I went to grab another, checking the fruit to make sure. The first two other ones that I picked up were also moldy. Needless to say, I asked for a refund and got a sandwich instead. Everyone was nice, and by and large, the food is good, but I felt it was worth mentioning the moldy fruit. I was also kinda surprised they didn’t immediately go and pull all of them to check, but hopefully they did after i left

The toast was good but it definitely felt over priced. I got the hotel voucher for breakfast and it was for $15 and the toast took it all. It’s insane to pay that much for something that only had one piece of bread! Overall good option if you’re a hotel guest.

Cute little place in Capitol Hill area. Nice staff. We ordered: A BLT, a Vietnamese Egg coffee, an affogato and an OMG Loaded. My BLT with added Avocado was okay. First couple of bites was good until it got a bit overwhelming with the [sweet Aioli] sauce. perhaps it would have been better with a little less sauce; it kind of took a way the clean and savory taste of just simple lettuce, tomatoes and bacon. On the positive note, it has generous amount of bacon slices [4-5]. Vietnamese Egg coffee - I had this in Vietnam and also make this at home ... it's a trendy drink in Hà Nội. Vietnamese coffee is strong and thick, and it is an espresso made from a French drip. With that said, I can check this off as tried it and will not order again. I am certain that the coffee was just regular filtered coffee because it tasted nothing like a dripped espresso, cant taste the condensed milk either neither is the egg. My hubby said Affogato [ espresso pour over gelato ] was good. His OMG Loaded was good. But too many potatoes. Will I come back, yes because it is my first time and there are other dishes that I havent tried ... so it's only fair not to give bad review if I only tried a couple of dishes 😉 Dislike - there's a 20% service charge automatically added to a bill that is more than $20.00. And on the bottom of the bill there is also a line for tip ... we almost double tip until we read the receipt again. Not cool.

Wonderful breakfast, loved the Korean breakfast sandwich, different but delish. My friend’s stuffed French toast tasted divine. Fresh squeezed OJ and good craft coffee. Note there are no reservations.

Great food but pricy! I had the bulgogi egg scramble dish and my friend had the tofu dish which we both enjoyed. The bulgogi scramble was lacking in the aoli so would recommend a side of the aoli to dip for every bit but the egg scramble was fluffy and rich. Not sure if it should be a 17 dollar dish for what is just a sandwich but it did taste great! The tofu was light and a lovely texture as well. I've had the vietnamese egg coffee before and that's something I might pass on despite the virality, nothing to write home about. Service was good, Tyler was lovely and we appreciated his recommendation of adding candied jalapeños to the tofu dish! The paintings on the wall are pretty and the vibe of the place is sweet for a nice brunch!

Awesome spot for Breakfast!! This was my first visit and would definitely recommend! Had the Croquet Madame 10/10 with Hot Sauce on the side. The French toast super fluffy and delicious with the strawberry jam on the side, the You bacon me crazy sandwich goes great with the cilantro sauce.

The food here is amazing! The DL’s Egg Drop, which is a beef bulgogi scrambled egg toast, deserves all the awards and rave reviews. I’ll definitely be back to try the other items. One complaint though is the incredibly musty smell along the corridor to the bathroom. That’s right where the kitchen is, so you’d think it would smell awesome, but it was disgusting.

I absolutely adored this place. I got the Full I Egg You Breakfast and it was so much food and all tasted amazing! Eggs were cooked perfectly and fruit was so fresh. Servers were also really nice and the food came so quickly. Their hot chocolate is also really really good.

The best brunch I’ve ever had! The French toast was absolutely incredible, the the breakfast potatoes are life changing. Definitely recommend adding to your must visit list in D.C.

This is a cute, welcoming spot just a short walk from Union Station. They have indoor and outdoor seating and an ordering kiosk, or you can order at the counter. The staff was very friendly. Prices are reasonable and there are lots of interesting food and drink choices on the menu. We had a hard time deciding. The knish was really good. The bagels were delicious! The Rude Girl sandwich on a bagel with jalapeño cream cheese was good, but the bacon was dry and overcooked, and there was a lot of it, so I had to pull some of it off. The pineapple cardamom soda was not fizzy, nor did it taste of cardamom, so I don't think it was made right. The lavender taro tea was outstanding, we ordered it on both of our visits. The Original sandwich on a bagel with Gravlax was delicious and so big we had to take half of it home. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and came back a second time during our stay in DC.

I feel so lucky to have found this place! I was looking for breakfast and a drink (teacher on spring break 😎🍹 ) during a Tuesday morning train layover. I could order both at a kiosk which made it so quick. The service is so nice and the music is great while you wait. The bagels are to die for. Check out the actual veggies in the veggie cream cheese. 😍 I’ll be referring this place to all DC natives from now on.

Love coming in here after a long walk through the mall. Normally get iced cold brew with oat milk and a bagel sandwich. My fav is the Bandito. If you want a little something extra I do recommend their cocktails which are so delicious!

Cute local cafe. I ordered the breakfast burrito with brisket. Very close to texas style. It was really good and filling. The price is pretty good for DC. I also had the lavender taro tea which was good but my friend thought it was too sweet. It also gives a cute diner vibe with bright sky blue colors. It is a casual brunch place to come with friends or s.o. I walked from the station which is pretty close. Not too bad of a walk I highly recommend it.

Best gluten free bagels I’ve had! Moist and a little bit chewy texture. They should start shipping these across the country. I’d fly to DC just to get more of them.

Great bagels, and they play cool music, but we had to wait over 30 minutes to get 2 bagels with cream cheese. The self order kiosk isn’t great either. I’m at a restaurant for a reason… if I need to place my own order to the kitchen, get my own beverage (which you do), and bus my own table, what am I tipping 30% for? Anyway, 4 stars because the bagels were really good.

This is my favorite place to eat in Adam's Morgan by a longshot. For breakfast I recommend the Lox on Everything Bagel or the Western Omelet on Everything Bagel. The Lox is obviously more expensive but it still comes out to less than ten dollars which is a steal. The Western Omelet is like five or six dollars. For lunch I recommend the Bronx Pastrami or if you want something cheaper I'd go for the BLT. You can pick what type of bread you want. I like the rye for the pastrami and the sub roll for most other sandwiches. They have a lot of different types of chips. I don't see many people buying groceries but they do have an assortment of interesting products, mostly foreign goods. They also have a fridge for any beverages you might be interested in. Sodas, coconut waters, vitamin waters etc. It's not very obvious but you can (and should) buy some coffee. You can't order a latte or anything like that but you can get coffee or iced coffee with milk/cream in it. It's like a dollary fifty or something for a large. The place smells of coffee because they sell a bunch of different types of coffee by weight. The minimum you can buy I think is a half-pound. It's a take-out restaurant mostly with a few grocery items so there's not any seating inside. Two things to remember are: 1. They only accept cash. Which personally I think is great. Very kind and fast service with delicious and reasonably priced sandwiches and bagel-sandwiches. This mom and pop business only accepts cash. They bring a much needed local vibe and culture to Adams Morgan!

Don't have a lot of experience with DC - was staying for a conference at the Omni Shoreham across the bridge and stumbled in to this place (with a rather bizarre name) on a walk. It's cash only - decent line but the counter lady was all-business and kept it moving quick. I ordered the Italian Hero - at less than $10 it was an absolute steal. The Italian sub roll was awesome and came piled high. I'm a big sauce guy and the combination of olive/peppers/dressing had me in heaven. There's not really room to eat inside, but they have a rather large selection of snacks/chips/drinks to supplement your meal. A lot of rarities in this regard too which is cool. I found a picnic table at nearby Kalorama Park and had a 10/10 lunch.

Absolutely amazing sandwiches. We usually go with the moist turkey Avocado but everything is delicious. Reasonably priced as well. Cash only and no seating in the store though
