Middle Eastern restaurant
Fast food restaurant
Restaurant
East Side Pockets is a popular Middle Eastern counter-serve spot in Providence, known for its falafel and kebab wraps. The restaurant has been a fixture on Thayer Street since 1997 and offers a variety of dishes including chicken gyros, chicken Caesar salad wraps, baklava, grape leaves, hummus, tzatziki, salads, and more. It's praised for its authentic culinary experience and top-notch customer service.
Delicious felafel and kafta sandwiches made with love! The falafel sandwich was loaded with fresh herbs, pickled turnips, creamy tahini, and the crispiest falafel. It was layered beautifully and bursting with flavor. The kafta sandwich was just as unforgettable. The meat was tender and seasoned perfectly, paired with creamy yogurt garlic sauce, hummus, tomato, and tabbouleh tucked into soft, warm bread. The owner and his crew excellent customer service and warm welcome made this experience even better. The owner is incredibly generous and kind, and it shows not just in how they treat you, but also in how much love they put into each dish/sandwich.

Good value, good food, and large servings! This is a good healthy alternative if you’re on a budget and live in Providence. They also have baklava! There’s a long line during peak lunch and dinner hours but it moves fast. Limited seating in the store but the food is packed to go anyway. This is a good go-to place for us since our Son is vegetarian and there’s plenty of options at this place. Enjoy!

Super gem!! One of the best falafel sandwich around Providence and Boston area! Whenever We are in Providence, We stop in at East Side Pockets and every single time I go, I am astonished at how good their food is. You can't beat it for Lebanese type food. Their falafels are like no other l've had they are so airy fluffy inside and nice crisp outside shaped like a doughnut never seen that before lol. The menu has a wide variety of middle eastern foods and the prices are very reasonable. Falafel wrap with everything was freshly delicious. Family owned. Super nice people!! 100% recommend!
Hagz — Google review
Phenomenal pockets. Some of the best falafel I’ve ever had as well. Easily blows NYC halal carts’ falafel out of the water. The fresh bread, ingredients, tabouleh, hummus, tahini, were all excellent. Absolutely recommend. I’ll be back
Ronak P — Google review
-courteous non nonsense service. They have a separate line for only appetizer orders. Otherwise the regular line moves pretty fast too. Just have an idea what you want and don’t waver too much. The falafel was delicious perfect balance of crispy and soft. And perfect flavor - not too salty or sweet. Not dry either. Baba ganoush was a tad too sour for me but also tasty. Same goes with the hummus. The cucumber sauce was DELICOUS - rich and cream. Would def eat here again.

Classic college town middle eastern (Syrian) casual pita place. Fast service, clean restaurant, excellent food (phenomenal rice BTW). What's not to love !?
Vector 8 — Google review
They gave me these free falafel things when I was accompanying my friend and didn’t order anything. I’ve never had this happen and it made me quite happy, what nice people 🙂
Emelie N — Google review
So delicious and authentic (according to my Turkish friend), very refreshing. Chicken gyro was bug enough to split between 2 people and be comfortably full. Would love it even more if they had Fattoush salad on the menu.

Traditional American restaurant
Olneyville New York System Restaurant has been a staple in Providence for 70 years, serving classic American favorites like hot dogs, burgers, and fries. The no-frills establishment caters to a diverse crowd, from college kids to working folks. In 2014, it received the prestigious Americas Classics Award from the James Beard Foundation. Visitors are encouraged to try the signature wiener "all the way," topped with mustard, meat sauce, onions, and celery salt.
If you’re in Providence and haven’t tried Olneyville New York System, you’re seriously missing out. This place is legendary for a reason. The hot wieners “all the way” are exactly what comfort food should be — messy, flavorful, and totally satisfying. I didn’t know what to expect going in, but the combo of the meat sauce, onions, mustard, and that hit of celery salt was perfect. The vibe is classic and no-frills, which honestly adds to the charm. It feels like stepping into a local treasure that hasn’t tried to be anything but what it is — and that’s a good thing. The staff was quick, friendly, and clearly proud of what they do.
Arvydas S — Google review
Nice place. We wanted to try this NY system, that dude was so friendly man! He greeted us and reassured us he would get to our order as we settled in. Gave us suggestions. Made us try a fries with vinegar and salt! Was awesome! The fries here are really good 😊 i would come back just to see that nice fellow. Stellar service 🤝give him a raise ✅

This spot definitely makes you feel like you're in NY. Atmosphere, food smells and design authentic NY! The food was good! They are known for their hotdogs and boy did they deliver! My friend snagged a dog and ate it so fast I couldn't snag a pic. My girls both got grilled cheese and said it was great! I got a Cheese steak only complaint was they didn't spread the meat. Otherwise delicious place to stop!
Stephanie K — Google review
Wow these are great weiners. Flavor is unique and delicious. I had two all the way with fries and coffee milk. Fries were hot and yummy. Coffee milk is great. My wife decided to try one weiner which is all she usually eats and ordered another. Service was fast and very friendly. Counter service and booths available. Hotdog and weiner fans should definitely have this location on their bucket list.
Linden H — Google review
Don't you dare call it a hot dog! "You can go over to 7-Eleven if you're looking for one of those," jokes the man behind the counter. "These are weiners." Olneyville New York System in #Providence, #RhodeIsland has been serving 'em up with good natured sarcasm and sass since 1946. Rhode Island's local serving style is called a "System." It features a grilled beef, pork, and veal weiner in a natural casing that's nestled in a squishy bun and covered with mustard, onions, a savory ground beef topping, and a shake of celery salt. In my humble opinion, having a system weiner washed down with coffee milk, Rhode Island's favorite local drink, is a bucket list experience. Visited 8/9/2025. #INeverSausageaHotDog #WillTravelForHotDogs

All the way special double weaner! Make sure to yell when you order. The milk coffee surprisingly goes well with it! (Not for the lactose intolerant). Friendly staff and a favorite of my daughter which now, is a favorite of mine! Open until 3am! Awesome casual place to dine with good food, fast service, and friendly staff! One of the best local gems!
Ariel L — Google review
I was in a rush and only 15 minutes to try the hot wiener "all the way". I was able to get in and out in under 10 minutes! I've had the famous Icelandic hot dog, a dog with a squid ink bun, and many more - this wiener with mustard, meat sauce, onion, and celery salt beats them all! I am sad that I couldn't also order a plain wiener, just to really sample it alone. The wiener snapped - almost popped with almost every bite. I loved it! Everyone should try it! At only $3.69 ($3.99 with tax) per wiener, it's a must try! It exceeded my expectations.
MCT — Google review
Awesome place! Perfect for going out with a friend(s), family, and for any other occasion! Spoke to one of the workers that knew the ins and outs of the restaurant and how their wieners are made. He was so kind and welcoming and gave us free samples of their coffee milk (which was delicious!). The wieners were delicious and the fries were just your typical fries. Definitely come for the wieners (make sure to get all of their significant toppings) 🌭 Vibes were amazing, felt like I was in New York!

Peruvian restaurant

Latin American restaurant
Los Andes is a vibrant South American dining destination located in Providence, offering a mix of Peruvian and Bolivian cuisine. The restaurant, founded by the Curi brothers, provides a relaxed atmosphere where guests can enjoy creative seafood and meat dishes alongside refreshing cocktails. The menu features classic dishes from both countries, such as the flavorful Lomo Saltado and the visually stunning Lobster Paella.
Great spot for a date night or to bring the family. They do serve big portions. There’s ample seating on the deck with live music. I recommend making a reservation as they do book up quickly. We had a reservation and had to wait for 20 minutes for a table. The service was okay…they were busy, so our waitress didn’t check in frequently. The short rib empanada was delicious.
JP — Google review
Visiting from NYC, came here on a rec and surpassed expectations. Fantastic restaurant, attentive and super friendly service, food was a flavor bomb and they had a live music set! Lomo app favorite dish. Definitely coming back. Thanks Danny and all the staff for a memorable meal.
Hugh O — Google review
This is one of the top places to eat in Rhode Island. The steak I had was probably as close to perfect as I've ever tasted. There was live music and the bottles behind the bar glowed like multicolored lamps. The place was full of well-dressed, celebrant people. Make sure you get a reservation here, many folks were stuck at the door while we skated past.
Thomas P — Google review
This place is amazing. Great atmosphere, outside dining is great. The food was next level. Los anticuchos and la causa rellena were both amazing for appetizers. The entrees are huge portions for a great price. We had lomo saltado, chaufa aeropuerto, and jalea and everything was amazing. The sangria was also delicious! I already can’t wait to come back to try the lechón and many more dishes! Couldn’t recommend more!

Me and my husband have been wanting to come here for a while and we are so happy we did! They have valet which we did not do, we chose to park a 2 min walk down the road in the hospital parking lot. Otherwise you have street parking to choose from. We made reservations here for opening time at 4pm and we weren't the only ones, they let you sit on a nice couch and wait until your called to be seated to your table. We sat out by the courtyard area and the inside of the restaurant is gorgeous! We've never had Peruvian food before so we just picked some apps and chose what looked good for our main meals and we were not disappointed! We split 3 different empanadas, the short rib and the rice one were our favorite. I tried the Pumpkin Martini and it was very good!! Main meals I got he Los Andes which came with chicken and kielbasa and veggies it was amazing! My husband got the dish with chicken and rice with an egg on top, for the price you get very large meals which we loved! I got the passion fruit cheesecake to go because I was so full lol, I tried some once I got to the car and it was delicious! I also put on our online reservation it was our anniversary and even though I got the cheesecake to go they still brought out a plate saying happy anniversary which was really thoughtful! Our waitress was also very nice and constantly there to help with any questions or requests we had. I also loved how often they came around to re fill your waters! Overall we had a great experience and cant wait to come back!
ELOCIN R — Google review
Ambience of the place was really good, live musician which was lovely! Service was good too- our waitress checked in just enough. Drinks weree good Food was subpar for the price- portion size is good but flavor was lacking. Food was mid. I had pork shank meat was soft and well cooked. But other parts of the food were not that good. My friends paella was also not the best tasting. Tres leche was ok, not too sweet but also have had better. Wish the food was more flavorful as they have ambience , good staff and location but mid level tasting food! Probably won’t return for dinner cause it wasn’t cheap either
Peace N — Google review
Our party of 5 celebrated my pre birthday dinner, we booked a reservation(not sure if it’s needed?) and had a table outside in the enclosed dining area. The atmosphere is relaxing, lots of clear lights and bamboo chandelier throughout w/ water features. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, created a perfect scene for our first time there. A Pisco sour, two Caipirinhas w/ 1/2 sugar and a Peruvian beer were ordered, all delicious. We shared pollo and brisket empanadas and the most delicious stuffed mushrooms w/ red pepper sauce, ritz crackers, fresh herbs served in a warm butter sauce, thankfully we ordered two orders, outstanding! We enjoyed a couple blackened salmon w/ fried rice dishes, Lomo Saltado(the tomato chunks were slightly too large, imo) but had the usual soy flavors, bistecca piadiana w/ mushrooms served w/ a creamy crock full of mashed potatoes and lastly a pollo dish w/ mushrooms in a garlicky sauce. My mom mentioned it was my birthday so they brought out a little whipped cream w/ berries while singing. Overall it was a lovely experience and parking was a breeze w/ free valet, don’t forget to tip.
Melanie M — Google review
It is a beautiful restaurant, amazing atmosphere and huge- we kept going farther and farther in which we actually liked as it was more quieter for a date. The food was delicious as well. The meat, rice, vegetables, and salsa, was seasoned perfectly. Our favorite was the appetizer, the tenderloin was very tender. Will definitely be coming back to try other dishes.

Brunch restaurant
Nicks on Broadway is a popular New American bistro located in Providence's West Side, known for its casual vibe and open kitchen. Chef Derek Wagner, a Johnson & Wales University graduate, has been at the helm for over two decades. The restaurant sources all-local ingredients, including eggs from Baffoni Farms and potatoes from Schartner Farms.
Parking tricky but it’s so so so worth the wait!! Oh my god beauti seating and interior, too cold for the outside patio, but the food arrive 35 minutes in to our arrival time and let me just tell you I did not disappoint the spices. Everything in the black beans was absolutely amazing. My grandmother truly enjoyed herself herself. I will definitely be back. Food is so worth the way. It is so good. You can really taste authenticity and well that goes into it. This is probably the best places to ever get a match picking up sandwich. The mimosas are amazing along with their verbal teas. Did you have a Valentine special today for $ 25 person each. Definitely will be packed and amazing and amazing experience and such amazing waiters

We came to Providence for an anniversary trip and saw many people recommend Nick’s for dinner or brunch. We booked a reservation for the Chef Tasting Menu and we were not disappointed. They were very responsive and helpful via email. They were able to accommodate a pescatarian diet and the food was INCREDIBLE. Our dinner experience here was truly a highlight of our trip. The staff were friendly, attentive, and really made our dinner special. I’ve heard that you can leave some tasting dinners still hungry, but not here! By the end, we were stuffed, but every dish was so delicious we didn’t want to leave a bite on the plate. My favorite was the main, a mackerel dish that I will probably be craving forever. They even gave us a printed menu of what we had before we left to commemorate our dinner. Thank you to the whole staff so much for making this such a special meal!

Who doesn’t love brunch! A cute restaurant tucked away on the streets of Rhode Island. Has indoor and outdoor dining. Scrumptious, fresh from the farm food. You can definitely taste the difference! The pancakes were incredible! Definitely a must!!! Had a nice hint of cinnamon. A great choice of menu and drink items.
Kristina L — Google review
I love this brunch spot. I was able to get seated right where you can see the meals being prepared. It gives me an idea of what I might want to order by putting a visual nearby before I make my final decision. The service from employees is great, and the environment has a great setting as well. The mimosas are quenching and so is the espresso martini. The food I ordered was satisfying, fulfilled my appetite and definitely a filling meal.
Le'Anthony J — Google review
Food is decent, but not mind blowing. The service is middling. It took awhile to get the food after ordering. Portion for my eggs Benedict was enough for brunch. Friend who ordered bolognese had a pretty small portion though, less than the portion of the eggs benny for almost double the price. They said it tasted great though. Parking is free on the side streets maybe a 5 minute walk from the restaurant.

Nice little place - food was ahhhhhhmazzzzzing. Staff was so friendly, handled the busy crowd easily. It was my 1st time, won't be my last!

Nick's has amazing food and great service. The bar seats looking into Derek's kitchen add a special appreciation of the attention given each dish! Greek restaurant
Kleos is a trendy Greek restaurant located in downtown Providence, offering traditional Greek cuisine in a light-filled space with a Mediterranean vibe. The menu features a variety of options including small plates (meze), large plates (megalo), side plates, and desserts. The restaurant provides the perfect environment for dining in and enjoying impeccable food and seasoning. Additionally, it offers an opportunity to savor classic Greek specialties such as mezze platters, gyros, moussaka, and Greek lasagna.
Such a nice Greek restaurant! We ordered dip tasting and mixed grill, they were all amazingly good and in good portions. When we finish the pita bread for dip tasting, the server offered not pita bread immediately. The environment brought us to a relaxing and vacation mood. Perfect place for dinner.

Met a girlfriend for some appetizers and shared a meal. The food was absolutely phenomenal authentic Greek. The portions were very large and it is definitely worth it to stop in and eat here if you're looking for authentic Greek food. The place was very busy after work on a Thursday so make sure to grab a spot early. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back.
Christine S — Google review
Dined a table of four on Saturday night. The table ordered the tower, hummus and calamari for appetizers. The shank, 2 raviolis and 1 gyro for dinner. A few drinks were also enjoyed. The tower was LARGE, though delicious. Calamari, I prefer the cherry peppers in Rhode Island style and could have been a tad crispier. I’d skip and get elsewhere if you’re looking for calamari. The wagu hummus was good but tasted like a Mexican sprinkle on top so it altered what flavors I was expecting. The ravioli was great, the shank was huge! We had leftovers from both. The gyro looked like a lunch dish but had good reviews. I’d dine again!
Michaela R — Google review
Came here for the first time recently. The ambiance is comfortable, and the service is friendly. Food took a very long time to be served. The dip sampler was delicious. The calamari was ok. The lamb shank was very gamey tasting; meats from the mixed meat platter were tough and overcooked; lemon potatoes lacked lemon flavor; the Briam was good; the baklava was burnt and hard and drenched in regular honey-not good; Belgian waffle was delicious.
Sabina D — Google review
We went Monday night. I was excited to try but it wasn’t everything I’d hoped it would be. We got Mixed Grill, Grape Leaves, Saganaki, Spinach Pies, Calamari, Lemon Potatoes, Horiatiki Salad, & Belgian Waffle Sundae. The grape leaves were small, cold, and there was more Tzatziki then Grape Leaves. The Saganaki was drenched in a honey syrup. The lemon potatoes, tzatziki, and Belgian waffle was the best thing we had. Probably wouldn’t go back.
Brianna — Google review
Incredible food and vibe. We ordered the dips and pita bread platter as an appetizer and enjoyed all of the dips. My problem with this dish however is the cost. For what you get, it is honestly a bit overpriced. Now when it came to the meal, we have the big mixed meat and fries platter and lord did I fall in LOVE. The meats were mostly perfect and the fries super tasty. I say that the meats were mostly tasty because the chicken was far too seasoned to be truly enjoyed and some others seemed a bit dry. Our guest and host were very polite and the place has a great atmosphere. This place is worth a visit.

What a delight ! I felt like I was in Athens. The menu is not huge but the meals are real legit Greek plates. The spices were everywhere and the choices although limited were hard to cut down. I got the toast with sausage and shrimp and both pieces were slices of heaven! The salad had giant cold slices of ripe tomatoes and a block of real feta ! I o had the crisp Chicken and it was too big I had to bring the bird home. My companion got the gyro and aooo good and fries aooo crispy and the side salad sooo legit. I finished it off with baklava and a great night. A shout out to Sarah she made great suggestions and was delight

Hey all. 45 year old second generation Greek fella here. My upbringing was stringent, unaccepting of difference out of fear. I love my Greek family. I love my Greek people, but they don’t love me because I’m trans. This Greek restaurant embraces change and difference and will and does affect the change I’ve needed in my 45 years of being a Greek boy. I celebrate this place in all their deliciousness. Food, staff, right direction, driven community, and so much more. Ps I’m going to hell because I love octopus and theirs made me want to punch my bartender server it was so good. Pps our bartender server tonight was mysterious and beautiful and so on point with the whole experience. Love this Greek fueled haven! Thank you!

We had an amazing dining experience! The service was just superb (Kathleen?) We were a party of 5 that ordered everything different on the menu, lamb, pork, duck, filet, and all meals came out hot and cooked to perfection!!

Very cute restaurant with really good food! They have a whole separate gluten free menu with tons of options including GF bread, pasta and chicken Parm! We started with the caprese salad (which I forgot to take a picture of) but it was amazing with really fresh, ripe tomatoes! I ordered the special (steak & shrimp) and it was juicy and cooked perfectly! Finished with decaf affogato! So good! Our server Kathleen did an amazing job! I will definitely be back!

I cannot say enough about this little gem. Not only was the food delicious, they have a rather extensive gluten free offering, including amazing rolls. Juan our server was perfect. The decor reminds me of a great little restaurant in NYC. I love the interior, homey and comfortable. The cocktails were also outstanding. We were traveling for a work event and this was the perfect spot to kick off our trip. Thank you Pane e Vino. You are the best!

Visited on the recommendation of a friend while in town for work and LOVED it. The gluten free options and care are great; the GF menu looks identical to the standard menu, and the staff was clear in options/accommodations. The warm, fresh gluten free rolls brought to the table were a great touch and so delicious. I had the GF chicken milanese, a hard one to find but worth the wait for sure. Friends enjoyed their non-gf meals as well, plus a round of cocktails. Would absolutely come back when in town next.

Another night out with our friends Roland and Carol. Paula and I had visited Pane E Vino (Italian for Bread and Wine) with some other friends about a year ago, and really enjoyed it, hence bringing Roland and Carol there. We arrived on time and were seated immediately. It's not a huge place so there's fairly close (but not too close) tables, and it can get a little loud, but there's apparently enough sound absorption so that it wasn't harsh, and I don't recall having to yell. I honestly didn't pay any attention to the decor, I just wanted to eat. But I think I recall that it's fairly dark and warm colors. And as much as people like atmosphere, the most important thing IMHO is the food and drink, and of course the service. Basically within one minute (if even) there was bread and dipping oil on the table, followed by another fellow pouring fresh water. Everyone was smiling and cordial. The bread, while not warm, was delicious and the oil (appeared to be mixed with balsamic vinegar) was a fine compliment to it. Oh, and there was a little bowl of the most delicious stone-in olives that I've ever tasted. Roland agreed. They were marvelous. I don't know if they make 'em themselves but I could eat those all day. Drinkwise, the ladies almost always stick with water, and Roland and I ordered our typical drinks, Grey Goose martini, and a Maker's Mark Manhattan, respectively. I believe my Manhattan was a little heavier than usual on the Vermouth, but it was delicious nonetheless, and there was a premium cherry waiting at the bottom. Our waiter (Juan) was a pleasant fellow, and quick to arrive and welcome us, and to take our food order. Roland ordered the Arancini appetizer, which was, in his words, the most delicious Arancini he'd ever eaten. I've not had a lot of experience with them, but I can at least say they were superb, and the best I've had so far. Oddly enough there was only three Arancini globes on the plate, though it worked out perfectly because Carol doesn't like risotto. But I mean seriously, when are there three people at a table? It's typically going to be a couple or two couples, right? Anyway ... For the main course, Paula got the Chicken Parm, and Carol got the Veal Parm. Carol was hesitant at first to order it though because it's on the bone, and she thought it'd be too thick. But I asked Juan who assured her it was thin. Roland ordered the Special Stuffed Pork Chop, and I got the Pork Chop from the menu. Roland really should've asked what the price on the Special was ($55!) because it was shockingly more expensive ($17 more!) than the one from the menu ($38). That must've been some kind of stuffing because it moved a PC into the pricing realm of a Filet Mignon (which I believe was $52) ... but at least Roland was really happy with the flavor and the portion. Both Carol and Roland gave their meals 5 stars. Paula and I gave ours 3.50 stars, because both or ours were overcooked -- as in dry. The only thing that saved both of these dishes was the delicious red sauce on hers, and the yummy demiglaze on mine. That, and her pasta was perfectly al dente, and my gnocchi was nice and firm. I'm sure we'll go there again, though hopefully we won't get overcooked dishes again. I've included only a photo of my pork chop.

We tried the arancini, beet & goat cheese salad, bolognese and chicken parm, everything was incredible. I’ve tried all the italian restaurants on atwells and this is by far the best.

My wife took me here for my birthday dinner and it was fantastic. This was our first time here and we will be back for sure. Not only was the food fantastic but the service was probably the best I’ve had at any restaurant. Our server Joe and the manager Austin were beyond attentive to not only us but all guests. We ordered the meatball appetizer, cacao e Pepe, maccheroncini del cardinale, veal chop Parmesan, dessert and drinks and all were great. Couldn’t recommend this restaurant more.

In Las Vegas, renowned chef Hubert Keller presents top-notch burgers at his Burger Bar, featuring options like certified Angus beef on a plump bun with classic fixings or the signature bison patty topped with caramelized onion, wilted baby spinach, and blue cheese.
First time to Harry’s and it was Great! Atmosphere is cool with great music piped in through the place. Upstairs seating for food. Waiter was excellent and very attentive. Boozy Fruity Pebbles milkshake was great for daughter. Son-in-law got the Whalers draft! Wife got the OG Sucker Punch delicious! I got the Guinness in a can. (You have to ask for a glass). Daughter got the MOAB burger no buns (she’s GF) and son-in-law got the Pastrami sliders and the split a 50/50 onion straw and sweet potatoes! Yum! Wife got the MOAB burgers and they were delicious I got the Fungus Among us burgers … oh boy tasty! We split a 50/50 salt and pepper fry & onion straw. Everything was Hot and Fresh and delicious! Thank you!!! We shall be back! Just remember these are sliders but if you get the third you shall be full after the fries and onion straws!

This Harry's restaurant was good. Their service was also good. I'd say the sliders were alright; the meat could have had some flavor added. Some seasoning, or salt and pepper, would have helped. Their fries were pretty good. I wouldn't order the fries with the yellow cheese only. The flavor was weird. Overall, it was alright.

There was a fun atmosphere upstairs. The burgers were good, but beware! The burgers are sliders. When I was trying to decide if I wanted two or three sliders (the portions offered on the menu), a person from across the room told me that he chose three a d wasn't full, so he ordered two more. The waitstaff were friendly and on top of things.

First meal in RI and it was great! The prices are incredible, $7 for a meal so no complaints. My boyfriend really enjoyed the nashville hot chicken sliders and I had the turkey ones, very filling. You get 2 sliders per order. We were seated pretty quickly on a Saturday afternoon in the upstairs area, and had a really nice server- would return.

The staff were super friendly. The hamburgers were subpar but that’s me coming from the west coast. The other places and this as well had soggy buns. And maybe I should have read closer that the burgers are bite size lol. Almost thought “hey that’s a gear price for their burgers”. It came in 2 sliders each lol. It was fine. The burgers aren’t for me tho. The sweet potato fries were fine. The kid liked her burger sauce so that’s a plus and she was full.

Slow to sit but the service was fast!!! My girlfriend really liked her veggie burger. I got the mother of all burgers and it was phenomenal. The sliders might sound small, but they really filled me up. Definitely will go back!

I stopped by Harry’s and Burgers and had a great experience overall. The service was friendly and attentive. The drinks were okay—nothing too special—but the food really stood out. The sliders were delicious! The buns were soft and buttery, and the meat was flavorful. With all the ingredients together, every bite was perfect. The fries were fresh, crispy, and nicely salted. Great prices and good food—definitely worth checking out!

Jacky's Waterplace & Sushi Bar is a local pan-Asian chain that offers a variety of classic entrees and sushi in a contemporary and funky setting. Located with views of Waterplace Park and the Woonasquatucket River, it's an ideal spot for big groups, offering Japanese cuisine and creative sushi. The restaurant also serves exotic cocktails alongside its sushi entrees, fusion rolls, and house specialties.
Food was absolutely amazing! The decor and ambiance was perfectly balanced between classy and cozy. I didn't try the sushi this time, but the seafood egg drop soup was very rich and flavorful. The steamed scallop dish was a highlight for me! I highly recommend it. I'll definitely be coming back!

The food was delicious and the service was excellent! My mom and I shared an appetizer, sushi roll, entree, and a bottle of wine for less than $100. Service and views are good, food wasn’t the greatest. I’ve come here a few times back in 2020 but this time the food wasn’t great. The sushi and salmon was good but the dumplings sample was nothing close to good. The waitress saw the plate full only 2 pieces missing and asked me if she should bring over her manager, I didn’t think that was necessary. I would give this restaurant one more chance but this last visit was disappointing.

The sushi here was absolutely amazing — fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. The service was phenomenal from start to finish. Our server, Jacky, was so kind and helpful. She recommended a few sushi options that were absolutely on point and really made our experience special. Will definitely be coming back!!

Jacky’s Waterplace is a terrific place for special events. I’ve been here for birthday dinners with eight people to holiday work parties with dozens of people. For groups of eight, the restaurant has round tables that allow everyone to participate in a single conversation, rather than only the people sitting next to them. If you’re looking for a place to have a dinner with a group around 7-8PM before heading out to the bars to celebrate a birthday or other occasion, this is a great option. The food and drinks are consistently very good. The sushi pizza was a big hit for our group. The crust of the pizza is thin and is similar to a very crispy scallion pancake or outside of an egg roll. The crust is topped with either salmon or tuna; our group went with the salmon. On top of that is tonkatsu sauce, spicy mayonnaise, tobiko, and jalapeños. I’d definitely recommend giving the sushi pizza a try as an appetizer. The walnut shrimp is also excellent. The “fruit mayonnaise sauce” the shrimp is served in may sound unusual, but it balances the flavor of the lightly battered fried shrimp really well. The server was attentive and the robot (yes, robot!) that assisted him was very entertaining. Not only does the robot bring sushi to customers’ tables, it also brings fried ice cream and sings the Happy Birthday to You song (before rolling itself away with a message that reads “Back to Work”)!

Greek restaurant
Andrea's Providence is a delightful gem in the heart of Rhode Island, where diners can indulge in authentic Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. This cozy eatery offers a welcoming atmosphere perfect for lunch, dinner, or even late-night cravings. Guests rave about the generous portions and quick service, even during busy hours. The mezzo platter is a popular choice for sharing, while the lemony Avgolemono soup warms the soul.
Had a reservation for 6 on a Friday evening. They were ready for us and service received was amazing! Food was coming out quickly. All appetizers are amazing! If you order shareable plate, it’s very large and can fill 3-5 people. Food is typical Mediterranean. I can’t say it’s delicious, more on the average, but something you would expect from a Greek kitchen. I ordered medium lamb, order well done instead, it was chewy, had a well done piece and it was much better. More flavor and not as chewy.grilled octopus is delicious too, I always order it if it’s in the menu and this time I want disappointed. Mussaka is average and so is everything, but still this place deserves a 5 star overall. Atmosphere is very welcoming, servers try their best to accommodate and provide best service. Food is as expected, but not disappointing. If you are in the area and looking for a nice place to sit down and eat, come here and eat with confidence! Gyros are delicious!

Nice friendly service. Had reservations and were seated quickly. The appetizer platter was awesome and the Peta bread served with it was nice and warm. The Gyro meat on the Greek salad had lots of flavors. The beef in the kabab could have used a little more seasoning. Overall a great experience. Will go again.

Invited for a double date with friends and was happy to try a place I've yet to visit! Had heard good things about Andreas, and yet tonight, most of our meal fell short. The service was not great either as our waiter was bringing over the check while one of our party was still eating and ended up redoing them as we wanted to order desert and I ordered an expresso, which sadly was bland in flavor. My and my wifes meals were both over driven by the cheese casing, as the content inside was not very well seasoned as described. The end result was the only delite was the hostess! Maybe we will try it again one day

Eyes were too big for my Stomach but the meat was all perfectly cooked. Meatballs and lamb were worth the money little pricey on the kabob end but the rest of the food made up for it. Crisp drinks and wonderful area seating outside. Nice waitress all a pleasant experience 5/5

Food is good and portions healthy. Had the mezzo platter, roasted 1/2 chicken and lamb shank and chicken soup.Food came out quick. Service is good even though they were very busy, so points for that. The mezzo platter is good to share, the chicken soup is good and lemony, the lamb shank was the winner fork tender and nicely seasoned and mash potatoes were super buttery and had lots pf butter LOL. The roasted chicken was good little dry on the breast which is expected but good portion. Decent place for quick bite…!!!

Haven’t come here since I was a teenager. It’s still just as good. I love the Avgolemono soup (lemon chicken orzo) Food was ready quickly They still take tables really close to closing time on a weekday. It’s fancy-ish but there is a more casual back seating area and they still have sports on TV. The waiters seemed to have had a long day but they still checked in on me as they got their stuff together.

Figidini is a charming Italian restaurant located in Providence, known for its exceptional wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas and delightful small plates. The restaurant offers a relaxed setting with a lively bar scene, creating a cozy and upscale atmosphere without feeling overly formal. Chef Frankie Cecchinelli, who co-owns the restaurant with his wife Kara, has perfected the art of making Neapolitan pizza, drawing from his family's Italian roots and experience in owning wood-burning oven restaurants.
Great date spot in downtown Providence. Our waitress was attentive and helped us select a wine based on our preferences. The goat cheese salad was delicious with the goat cheese itself being creamy and a good portion. For the pizza we had the Tartufo which was so good. The combination of cheese, spices, prosciutto and mushrooms was perfect. We will definitely be back.

The pizza is delicious, i love the crust! Nice rustic place. The service was OK, not through the roof or down south. Staff were nice but something was definitely off. Not a fuzzy warm feeling, so dont expect a warm greeting. Service could be more genuine. Customers can feel the service. Other than that, the pizza crust was the best here.

2nd visit. The yummiest artichokes I ever ate! This restaurant has its own uniqueness. They give you scissors ✂️ to cut your pizza 🍕 with, this is fun/different! A fresh and unique spin on appetizers!, not the usual frozen/fried stuff you see on menus elsewhere. FRESH and made to order! Charred lemon 🍋 peel, fresh pesto! 👨‍🍳 bold flavors, fresh quality ingredients. Nice bar area. The restaurant is small but so what? Worth a visit 4 sure! I’ve tried 4 different pizzas, flank steak, salad, artichokes, bar drinks were good too! Upscale Mediterranean restaurant bravo🤌

Strange vibe from the jump. We walked in, no reservation, and were told the only option was outdoor seating due to “reservations.” Totally fine—89 degrees and sweating into our silverware builds character, right? To be fair, we in fact did not have a reservation. But here’s the weird part: while we were there, exactly three people walked in. There were two tables occupied when we left. So either the reservations were invisible, or they’re running a dinner theater where the cast never shows up. We were handed one menu for the table, which was fine. However, one of the two aggressively uninterested servers announced she’d “get more menus off the reserved tables inside.” Again: empty tables. Either those menus were emotionally attached to their seats or we interrupted a sacred paper ritual. Now let’s be fair—the food was great. Props to the kitchen for saving this experience from total disaster. But as for the service? I’d rather have Domino’s delivered late and lukewarm, as long as the driver smiles and doesn’t act like I insulted their ancestors by showing up. Final verdict: come here if you enjoy dining with a side of passive aggression and ghost reservations. Otherwise, your local pizza chain might treat you better.
Mortin G — Google review
Our waiter was great so if I could rate him separately he would get 5 stars, management gets 1. First off, it was a busy Friday evening and they only had one waiter for the whole place, I asked him if someone called out and he said no, I said I’m sorry they’re overworking you like this. Being understaffed like this (management trying to save money) everything took forever despite him trying his best. Our order of 3 pizzas took over 50 minutes to arrive. Let me repeat that, over 50 minutes, and they didn’t even all come out at the same time. By the time you get the bill here you end up spending more than most Neapolitan places in NYC, which is hilarious because NYC is far, far more expensive generally speaking, the owner here is clearly just greedy. The two stars instead of one is because the food did taste good, not the best Neapolitan or the worst, but solid. I hope the waiter we had does well, but this establishment I can’t say the same.

I came in with a friend on Friday night around 7:30, without a reservation. Luckily we were able to be seated at the bar pretty quickly. The host and bartender were so friendly and the bartender made an excellent mocktail. Beets are one of my favorite foods so when we were told the pizzas would take a while, I took that opportunity to try the coal roasted beet special. The portion was huge and I loved the taste. The burrata pizza was also delicious. I’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic authentic South Asian food at a good pricing — love visiting often whenever I’m in Providence!
Rohit K — Google review
I visited this restaurant twice with the intention of exploring a variety of Indian dishes from different regions, ranging from North to South. During my first visit, I tried the Palak Paneer, samosas, and masala chai. While the taste was reasonable for the price, I experienced stomach discomfort shortly after returning home, suggesting a possible issue with the food quality. Despite this, I decided to give the restaurant another chance. On my second visit, I ordered the Masala Dosa, Khasta Kachori, samosa, and masala chai. Unfortunately, the experience was again unsatisfactory. The food did not sit well, and I strongly suspect that the oil used in preparation may be of poor quality. While the menu is diverse and the restaurant offers an opportunity to try various Indian cuisines, the overall quality and aftereffects of the food were concerning.

MAZHAR A — Google review
Food was poorly prepared, cooked, seasoned, portioned all not done favors by the lack of clarity in the menu; this was possibly because the food also came out extremely quick, which screamed frozen, microwaved, or pre-prepped items. This would all be fine if the quality was there, but it wasn’t: The Chicken Tikka Masala has little to no flavor or sauce, with dry chicken portions no more than maybe 5 chunks of meat. The Dal Curry was in a bowl (extremely mall portion for $10) and was bland — for such a normally cheap and flavorful dish, this was the worst. The Mutton Biryani was redeemable; it was oily and tasted good, yet not in any way meaningful. There were boney and fatty pieces throughout the meat that cut the size of the perceived size considerably. The Masala Dosa tasted frozen, noted by oily, yet dry, cold and a rough texture. The potatoes inside were fine, and the sambhar was okay. The coconut chutney was poor. The naan and jasmine rice were cooked relatively well, and had no particular flavor or quality to them. Servers were attentive and kind, as much as disconcerting; there were several servers that would be looking at our table through the service, but felt more pressuring and uncomfortable. Prices were good when the portions were, which helped me feel much better about the quality that I didn’t have to pay a lot to dislike it. Total was ~$70-75 before tip.

I was extremely disappointed with the quantity of food in my order. Despite requesting double protein, the amount was identical to a single serving. The sides were also underwhelming. It seems like the staff has too much discretion in portion sizes. I think Chipotle should implement standardized measurements for ingredients per bowl to ensure consistency and value for customers. This would help prevent disappointing experiences like mine.

Huge thank you to the catering team at Sonia's who put together absolutely delicious platters of appetizers and sandwiches as well as incredible salads for our daughter's college graduation party this past weekend. I really appreciated the help I got choosing the best menu items for the type of party we were having, the onetime delivery (actually, early!) of the order and the rave reviews of the food from our 150 guests. I'm ooking forward to working with Sonia's Deli in the future, for sure!

They dont tell you about up charges, it’s cheaper to build your own than to add something as simple as onions to a sandwich. I could have added 6 vegetables to a build your own, but the minute you add anything to a menu sandwich, its all an up charge. Kind of deceptive not to tell anyone that up front. Won’t be back, dishonest.

Food was good and fresh. I went to use the single rest room after I ate and it was locked. I waited five minutes and knocked, waited another five minutes knocked again and determined it was empty. I told the girl at the register. She came, knocked and said “I don’t think anyone is in there. Let me get someone to open it.” I waited another six minutes and went back to the register. The two girls were standing there with no customers. I said: “What’s going on?” The girl who had spoken to me just looked at the other girl who then said “we don’t have a key”. Then she said “we don’t know where the key is” because she saw the look on my face. So I said “So why didn’t either of you come to tell me that?” And I got a very inauthentic“oh sorry” Not good enough to earn my business.

Umelt is a restaurant that specializes in grilled cheese sandwiches and other grilled cheese-inspired dishes. The staff is friendly and kid-friendly, and the food is excellent. Some of the options include buffalo chicken Mac and cheese, Swiss cheese with caramelized onions, sliced apples, and truffle oil, among others.
First visit to Rhode Island on my 50 by 50 tour ( visiting 50 states by my 50th birthday). The staff here were so helpful and pleasant! (That makes a huge difference 😉). They even cater to wannabe vegans like myself who tried the vegan impossible burger melt paired with tomato bisque and a Rhode Island pineapple soda. Very tasty and filling! Helped to charge my phone and have warm comfort food on a cold spring afternoon. Definitely hope to return to try the other items on the menu!!

Nothing special or great about this place. Average food, average service. The buffalo chicken melt was okay at best with limited flavors, the loaded tater tots tasted liked the old tater tots given at elementary school in the 90’s.
Rafael F — Google review
My son and I stopped here for lunch. The people working there were extremely kid friendly. The food was absolutely amazing. The Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese was so filling, I could only finish half of it. I would recommend this place to everyone.
Elizabeth H — Google review
Cool spot for a late lunch or after a night time stroll. Not sure if the cashier was apprehensive of me but, she could have helped me through the menu. The "Cali Melt" was an overall success. Creamy, guac (not just advocado). Or maybe it was squished in the sandwich press. Wasn't a fan of the tater tots. Was for the slight after taste. The prices are kinda up there. But, what do you expect from a downtown location, across from a major university. I'll be back and my ordering game is gonna be on 1000!

This comfort food eatery is minutes from our office. We loved their spin on grilled cheese. You can combo your meal with soup, salad, chips and/or a drink. Bonus, they also serve beer and wine! I had the White Trash, which was mac and cheese and bbq pulled pork on sourdough. I did the combo with tomato bisque soup. So delicious and filling. I was still full when it was time for dinner....ha. Definitely coming back!

Small place but awesome melts. The guys working are so nice. When we walked in there were a few loud and obnoxious people there, and those guys never got irritated or lost there welcoming attitude. The food is fresh and tastes awesome. It's definitely a place we will be going to again.

I got the favorite “The UMac” and I felt it didn’t deliver. The Mac n cheese and pork were rather bland, and I couldn’t taste the cheddar cheese. All of the pieces are there- with a nice cheddar bite, salty pork, and the sweet/tangy BBQ sauce they already use, this sandwich could be amazing. Unfortunately, I was left wanting more from it. UMelt still deserves 5 stars because the customer service was excellent, the menu had plenty of appetizing sandwiches, and the restaurant was clean.
Chris — Google review
Friendly little shop that serves a variety of grilled cheeses. The staff is welcoming and aware of food allergies. They have a separate station for gluten-free orders. Their grilled cheeses can be made gluten free. Good for breakfast, lunch or dinner, they have many to choose from. If you’re looking for a quick bite and don’t want to sit down at a restaurant, this is definitely a place to stop by.

The Duck and Bunny is a crêperie and tearoom located in a historic house in the Fox Hill neighborhood. It offers a variety of options including beer, wine, cupcakes, and even features a cigar lounge. The establishment provides afternoon tea, tea-and-coffee-infused cocktails, daily changing cupcake menu, and free Wi-Fi.
My boyfriend and I came here for our first date as well as our one year anniversary we served by Josh and Ashley who are both wonderful people! Great food great atmosphere but it is worth the wait. Josh even gave us two cupcakes for our anniversary. We will be coming back each year for our anniversary ❤️. Thank you Duck and Bunny!
Bean S — Google review
This place is a little easy to miss from the outside, but so eclectic and unique on the inside. About a 25 minute walk from DT Providence. They took the duck and bunny theme to their grave - play a game and find the hidden ducks/bunnies on the inside! The candlelit ambiance and cozy seating area make it great for a romantic dinner or dessert outing, or laidback tea and coffee with friends. Outdoor seating is available, with a waitlist at peak times. The place is a bit narrow and looks to have been a residence at some point, as the kitchen is directly next to the bathroom, so be careful when stepping out as you may encounter employees trying to get by. We had the seasonal plates, which were good, especially the Crepeadilla; however, the Crepe Lo Mein was overpowered by soy sauce, which made it difficult to enjoy fully. The banana Nutella and espresso mocha cupcakes were delicious and very sweet! Local craft beer featured on the menu, and the menu had excellent pairing suggestions with meals. Our waitress was great with recommendations and keeping up with our table. Would definitely recommend as a lovely local restaurant to friends visiting east Providence!
Shennie Q — Google review
Usually extremely busy during breakfast or brunch hours. Quality food, decent prices, cupcakes are delicious. There is also a beautiful back yard area that I would recommend checking out. Additionally, you may have events in the back yard area, information is available on their website.
Natalie R — Google review
Delicious brunch eats with the Bunny Bleu salad (pictured) a fave. Crepes are a good choice too. Dine on or out, but I love dining in. It's decorated as if you were visiting some cool aunt who bakes. Which by the way, a mini selection of cup cakes is not a bad way to go and makes perfect dessert for 2 if get four in a box.

It was a beautiful day and my friend and I decided to have brunch in the back patio area. Great ambience great food..staff was awesome. Love that they are dog friendly.

Super cozy, quaint place/snuggery 😊 Great desserts, atmosphere and staff. Wish they had liquor but the coffee and wine went great with their desserts.

Cozy, trendy restaurant near Providence colleges. The food is okay, a little pretentious, but the cupcakes are excellent.

We chose the Duck & Bunny to make our wedding cake and cupcakes. To me, they are well priced especially for a two tiered custom cake and over 140 cupcakes. They are very nice and went over every detail. My fiance, two of my bridesmaids & I went there for cake tasting and they were amazing! Great service and attentiveness. After we had devoured the cupcakes, she sat down and went over every option and made sure we had what we liked on our list and reviewed decorations. Not only were they super nice to us,but to every customer there as well. Every customer was treated with equal respect and kindness. I will DEFINITELY recommend their events service to everyone!

Visited for the first time during RI FOOD FIGHTS' LORD of the WINGS - Big, quality and juicy wings. Loved the mom who was working this day who was full of personality and provided entertainment with her stories as we waited for her freshly cooked wings to be done. She recommended us visit the pop shop as well during our visit which was pretty cool We tried Honey Spice, Buffalo and Sweet Chili, all were great options and had their own kind of kick to them. We will definitely be back for more

Stopped in due to the RI FOOD FIGHTS Burger fest - stayed for the service and good vibes! Sarah, the owner had me sample a few products off the menu while she cooked up a fresh falafel burger for me, everything was to die for. I know its marketed as a halal spot, but her collard greens, wings and rice were true soul food. Not only in taste, but in the way they make you feel - loved, warm and safe. If you know - you know. This spot is going to be heavily in my rotation from now on. And yes, the burger was also amazing.

This was our first time trying this wonderful place. First thing, it was extremely clean and the man making our food immediately washed his hands and put on a fresh pair of gloves before preparing our food. All of the vegetables and meat looked very fresh and delicious. The gyro was literally the biggest I’ve ever seen. It was packed with meat and vegetables. These pictures don’t do it justice. The fries were fresh and seasoned perfectly. The service was excellent he was very kind and friendly! I can’t wait to come back here again. So glad I stumbled upon this place. Please give them a try I promise you won’t be disappointed! This place takes pride in their food and that’s very hard to find nowadays.

We were a bit skeptical when we walked in, was totally empty except another party, but we dived in and got a mixed grill. They give you some hummus at the beginning, that was just okay. The mixed grill was so good , wonderful and perfectly seasoned. The quantity is alot too. Only think is we saw people walking over with food and bringing it to the kitchen..I'm assuming they cook it somewhere else?? That was the only weird part, service was friendly otherwise too!

The shop may feel a bit cozy, but the friendly staff is always ready to assist you in finding what you need.
They have a variety of options and are open a lot later than the other place on this street. It’s a bit crammed together but the staff knows where to look for stuff and will help you find it. The guys who are usually here are always super nice but the girl I met once is fine too and also knew where everything was. They have one brand of no-nicotine vape as well. It's usually easy to find street parking in the area too, which is convenient. And there are a lot of other bars, restaurants and shops in the area if you wanted to bounce around to other spots too. The food here is absolutely delicious. I got the lobster ravioli and it was the perfect portion and super tasty.

Some of my friends and I went out for some drinks, and we weren't disappointed. We all tried tastes of each other's martinis and they were perfect. ($11 each). 2 of my friends tried the Swine Flu, which is a flaming mixed drink shot and put on quite a show for the table ($7 each). The food was delicious and prices were reasonable for the dishes served. I got the gnocchi pollo pesto and that was $14. There was not enough to take any leftovers home. One of my friends tried the lobster tortellini, and was initially disappointed there were only 4 large tortellinis, but after realized they were packed full of goodness. The owner came around and made sure we enjoyed everything which was a nice touch.
