Restaurant
Bricco is a sophisticated restaurant in the North End, offering modern Italian cuisine, cocktails, and late-night brick-oven pizza. The restaurant sources its breads, fresh pastas, and meats from an old-world panetteria and salumeria next door. It is part of a mini North End empire with an extended-stay pensione above it and several other eateries in the neighborhood.
We had the absolute best time dining here! The food was authentic, flavorful, and truly excellent from start to finish. What made the night even more special was our amazing waiter, Vuvu. He had us laughing the entire time and made us feel like we were part of his own family. It was such a fun and memorable experience. Delicious food paired with genuine hospitality. We can’t wait to come back!

Had an amazing experience at Bricco in Boston's North End! The vibe was cozy yet lively, and the food did not disappoint. If you're not sure what to order, ask for Gisela at the bar — she's super friendly and really knows her stuff. She recommended a pasta dish that was absolutely 10/10. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

🌟 Unforgettable Dining Experience at Bricco! 🌟 Dining at Bricco was an absolute delight from beginning to end. The inviting atmosphere, beautifully prepared and flavorful food, and the exceptional service provided by Wolmar truly made the evening special. Wolmar went above and beyond to ensure a seamless and memorable experience. His attentiveness, knowledge of the menu, and genuine warmth made us feel completely at ease. He expertly selected our order, and his recommendations were spot-on. His impeccable timing ensured that each dish arrived just when we were ready, and he checked in with us at the perfect moments. The dishes themselves were a culinary masterpiece. Fresh ingredients, thoughtful presentation, and flavors that lingered long after the last bite made every dish a treat. From appetizers to dessert, everything was crafted with precision and passion. If you’re seeking a place where the food is fantastic and the service makes you feel like royalty, Briccoo is the place to be. And if you’re fortunate enough to be served by Wolmar, you’re in for an extraordinary culinary experience. Highly recommend!

Great meal! This is the second time we've eaten at Bricco in the last 3 years and it did not disappoint. We took our friends who were traveling with us. We had a 6:16pm reservation for a Saturday night in September and the place was super busy. We checked in and got seated right away - upstairs. I knew my wife wouldn't be happy with having climb the stairs but what was nice up there was that it was much less noisier than the main level. Alex was our server and she was fun and great. We started with drinks and the included bread. Two of us had wine and two of us had Old-fashioneds. They muddle their fruit here. Not my preference but it the drinks ended up being 'okay'. The bread was soft and the spreads offered were tasty. We ordered our dinners as follows: - Beef Short Rib on Mashed Potatoes (I subbed the potatoes as polenta was standard) - Sea Bass on a Potato Cake - 8oz Beef Tenderloin Filet - Salmon - Side: Creamed Parmesan Spinach - Side: Roasted Brussels Sprouts - Side: Gnocchi with Lobster My Beef Short Rib was amazingly tender and tasty. My wife's Sea Bass was probably the best her or I have ever had. The preparation was unusual and amazing. My friend's Beef Filet was so tasty and tender - likely Prime grade. I did try my friend's wife's Salmon but she enjoyed it. We were too full to try any of Bricco's dessert but had I had room, I was considering their Bread Pudding. In our experience, reservations are a must for dinner at Bricco. If you're going all out, each ordering their own meal and some sides, it's going to be $$$. Knowing that going it - it was an amazing meal.

Great late night spot for drinks...The staff was super friendly, and the dress was casual...we also ordered food it was okay nothing to write home about order a cheese pizza looks way better then it tasted...but drinks were on point and the bartender was super cool chick that lived in Chicago that made up for the pizza lol...Will definitely go back for some late night drinks again when we are in Boston next time. 100% recommend!

After a long weekend of driving, hockey tournaments, kids, fast food dinners, traffic and shopping, it was time for my husband and I to have a dinner that was delicious, comforting and provided with respectful and thoughtful service. Bricco brought it all and it was exactly what I wanted and needed. Yes it was loud in the restaurant. Yes it was bustling. Yes, it's tight with other humans. But isn't that the energetic authentic vibe you've been missing when you just want to be served and well fed and for only for one night and not have a care in a chaotic world? Love this place.

Traditional Italian cuisine with excellent food and super friendly staff in a beautiful scenery. Every little detail made the stay most enjoyable - entering the restaurant with classic dark furniture, small stairs to reach a large dining room for our group of 20 people, that inviting Italian busy-ness, enjoying life … and on top of that, tasty wine and delicious food, with our waiter remembering every order, and where it is to be served, at the same time, 20 times. Thanks for the amazing experience!

For the past 10 years, we’ve celebrated our anniversary at Bricco’s, and today was extra special as we marked our 24th. The food was, as always, amazing and the service outstanding (thank you, Manuel!). We never skip the bread pudding—it somehow gets better every year. Highly recommend Bricco’s, as well as their sister restaurants: Umbria and Quattro (home to fantastic pizza).

Yvonne's is a sophisticated yet lively supper club located in a stylish hideaway adorned with marble and mahogany wood. This downtown hotspot continues the tradition of its predecessor, Locke-Ober, by hosting an annual holiday lunch filled with glamour and modern interpretations of classic dishes. The restaurant offers elegant fare such as prime rib chop, black-truffle roast chicken, and the impressive lobster Savannah. Reservations are a must for this popular event.
Great atmosphere perfect for a romantic date and the tapas style menu also makes it a great location for social gatherings. Service was incredible. Our server was able to answer our questions on the menu and also provided the best wine recommendations. With two of us we found that a snack, a social plate, and the smaller tuna feast was perfect for us. We had the smoked ricotta fritters, Moroccan lamb belly, crispy tuna fregola, and finally the basque cheesecake. All of the food was fabulous, wish we could have tried their stone fired pitas as those also looked quite delicious.

卧槽太好吃了实在是,心中top1!The environment is absolutely amazing, and the food is 100% PERFECTION. Octopus, shrimp, soft shell crab… they are all perfect. I’m so surprised that the chef can make so many good flavors, and I want to try everything. Absolutely delicious. I’m sure I’ll come back.

Stopped by with the wife for a drink per a recommendation from our hotel lobby. This place did not disappoint. The bar staff was absolutely amazing and really went out of their way to take care of us. After finding out it was for an anniversary they had some food sent out for us to try. The drinks were incredible and the steak tartar was so unique and delicious.
Shane G — Google review
TLDR: Much better as a pre or post-dinner drinks place. Don't get food here. Ambience: Gorgeous space, dark and intimate. Perfect for date nights. It is located in kind of a sketchy alleyway. We had no issue, but a brisk, purposeful speed walk is recommended to get to the restaurant. Food: Disappointing, except the tuna crudo, which was absolutely standout, delicious flavours and textures. Softshell crab felt really "heavy" because it's fried, with grits/mashed potato at the bottom. This needs to be paired with a sauce instead. Little leaf salad lacks flavour and dressing. Pita was dry, hard and salty. Viper chop was slightly dry and salty. Couldn't even bear to get dessert. The mocktails and cocktails we ordered were delicious! Service: We went on Thursday evening, our server was nice but nothing to write home about. I called at 5:30 PM on Thursday evening to (very politely) adjust my reservation and the lady who picked up the phone had the absolutely worst attitude I've ever seen; I've never seen this kind of behaviour at any restaurant, let alone somewhere as upscale as here.

It’s such a hidden gem in the downtown area of Boston! Vibe ✅ Food ✅ Price & portion ✅! And as I walked in this restaurant, it felt like I’m walking into an unknown territory! Classic speakeasy! The special architectural design with chic, classic, modern, and warm look entertained by Latin House music made the atmosphere perfect!! I was in the library room, but other rooms were just as stunning! Honestly, this restaurant makes you feel beautiful! This restaurant is worth dressing up for! 💜
Thavy H — Google review
10/10 Really amazing food, amazing service and great atmosphere. We arrived for 5pm and were seated straight away. Our server Espeana was straight over and we were made to feel so welcomed instantly. It’s small plates and we had 4 between 2 of us. We had the Seared Hallumi Cheese, Lazy Lobster dumplings to share, and then we decided to have a Pita each to fill ourselves up. I had the Gobi Manchurian and my partner had the Sujuk. Both really good. Our favourite meal out in a long time. Really recommend.
Connie M — Google review
Enchanting dining room full of history. Every dish was amazing. We went back for seconds on the Tuna Crudo. Dessert was fabulous and our server was knowledgeable and engaging. 10 out of 10 would go back. Do yourself a favor and get a little dressed up for this one!
Sarah L — Google review
I’ve enjoyed coming to Yvonne’s over the years. It definitely has the best ambiance of any restaurant in Boston - chic, stylish, and full of character. The dishes are solid, though not mind-blowing, and the service is decent. For two people with one drink each, the bill typically comes out to around $200. But honestly, it’s the atmosphere that keeps me coming back.

Sonsie is a sophisticated and enduring bistro located in Back Bay, offering an eclectic menu and an impressive wine cellar. The restaurant's charm lies in its French doors opening to the lively Newbury Street, plush leather seating in the interior lounge, and a brick oven producing flavorful dishes. Known for its weekend brunch starting at 11 am, Sonsie also features Presse, its own coffee and espresso bar.
An absolutely wonderful dining experience! ☀️ Delicious food, incredibly fresh ingredients, and the perfect afternoon chatting with friends in the sun. I'll definitely be back! Highly recommend!
Zihan Z — Google review
Friendly, attentive staff. Lots of good looking and tasty sounding food, the warm crab dip was a delight to the taste buds. 12oz ribeye tasted under seasoned to start with, but the flavours soon rolled over the tongue beautifully.
Simon A — Google review
Lovely brunch spot with a large menu and nice portion sizes. I liked how the avocado toast comes with an egg. Two criticisms: It’s pretty loud inside when it’s crowded making it a little hard to talk. The bathrooms are small, with on lock being broken and a poorly placed trash can so there is no easy way to wash hands and open the door with the paper towel or foot pull so everyone has to touch the trash can and handle.
Jaye B — Google review
Just had an incredible experience at Sonsie! Their secret menu chicken parm over spicy vodka pasta is unreal — perfectly cooked, flavorful, and indulgent. The cocktails and oysters are just as impressive, and the dessert finale, especially the chocolate bread pudding, is the perfect sweet ending. The staff was attentive and friendly, making the whole meal feel extra special. Definitely a hidden gem in Back Bay — every bite feels like a local secret. Can’t wait to come back and try more of their menu!
Carly J — Google review
Nice ambiance, but the food and service missed the mark for us. My salad came without dressing (we had to flag down the server to request dressing separately, which is disappointing when you’re paying good money for what’s supposed to be a “finished” dish). The server didn’t check in much. We also ordered steak & eggs which lacked seasoning, and the smoked salmon bagel was just okay. Hoping for a better experience next time.
Rachell C — Google review
We had avocado toast with added crab. It was good, but needed something fresh and bright. Maybe some lemon juice. The place was busy for brunch and a little more loud than I wanted to. Had a nice bolgierri rosso by the glass.

Go for: Upscale, primarily American fare with a touch of Boston's unique blend of immigrant cuisines. Avoid if: You're looking for an intimate dining experience. Something surprising: They've been open since 1993. Reservation needed? Yes, at all hours. Overall Experience: 4/5. It's busy, it's loud, and it's big; definitely a Back Bay staple at this point. The food is good and portions are respectable, but depending on how busy it is, the wait might be long - don't expect special treatment. If you're driving, well, don't - take the T - and make sure you make a reservation in advance. Value for Price: 4 Sanitation: 4 Food Quality: 4 Menu Precision: 3 Service Quality: 3 Timing: 4 Decor: 4 Access: 3 — 5 among the best, 4 strong, 3 not too bad, 2 mediocre, 1 never again

I went to Sonsie for dinner yesterday and it was a great experience! We didn’t book ahead but were seated at the very front, looking onto Newbury Street. It had a great vibe especially since it was Halloween. I ordered an Aperol Spritz and a Rigatoni Bolognese. The drink had proper Aperol in it and wasn’t overfilled with ice, the proportions were right. The pasta was ample amount, the bolognese had just enough meat and proper amount of tomato sauce as well. Not watery and not too dry. The waitress was very kind with us and always asked how we were doing. My friend got a Pepperoni Pizza which looked amazing! The dishes are reasonably priced. My overall experience is great, I recommend this restaurant for a good lunch/dinner.

Jaho Coffee Roaster & Wine Bar is a unique spot that combines the best of both worlds - a cozy coffee hangout and a chic wine bar. The spacious and stylish setting with high ceilings, exposed beams, and Instagram-worthy decor makes it an ideal place to spend the day working or studying. You can enjoy a variety of drinks including espresso, wine, beer, soft-serve ice cream, and bubble tea along with delicious light bites, baked goods, and sandwiches.
Only had a short stay in Boston, but once we discovered this coffee place, we went every day after the initial discovery. Sometimes, twice. The drinks are amazing. The season peach pie chi lattes are amazing. Highly recommend trying it. I also tried the space jam which was also delicious as well as a few others . They even have some boozy options. Overall great experience and coffee options.

This is just my kind of place because it has coffee as well as coffee cocktails—so amazing. After dinner I was craving something sweet but also wanted that bitter kick of espresso, and Jaho Cafe was perfect since it was open until 11 p.m. My partner and I got espressos, while one of our friends tried the Dubai chocolate coffee, which was fantastic. To go with the drinks, we shared the bowl tiramisu and the Tres Leches cake, both of which were absolutely delicious. The space itself has plenty of cozy seating, with people studying or just hanging out, giving it a really nice vibe. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their desserts and hopefully explore the cocktail bar next time—it’s such a great spot.
Sharanya S — Google review
Jaho is a lovely spot with amazing iced coffee drinks and bagels. Other stuff might be great too, but I’ve only had iced coffee and bagels. The bagels are seriously so good and the iced coffee drinks are yummy and cute. I’ve been coming into Boston a lot to visit my family member who is in the hospital at Tufts and Jaho brings a little tiny bit of joy and whimsy to my day. ✨

Double espresso was served in a paper cup... I ordered a double and it definitely looked like a single shot. Not even hot. Service was not good either. A homeless person was sleeping in front of the coffee shop and another one on chairs inside. The second drink was way too sweet. Regrated going there.

I love visiting Jaho. I always order the same thing and the staff is incredible. Any time I ever have any questions, Entela is always very happy to help. She is so kind and happy to be there. The cafe is always very clean, the food is tasty and fresh, and the staff are very attentive. Thank you for a good spot to meet a friend for coffee, or a quick break from work or school.

I love Jaho coffe ! Everytime I pass by I force myslef not to get a coffe but it’s impossible! The coffee and pastries here are exceptional. Each pastry is crafted with care, always fresh, and beautifully presented. The coffee is consistently excellent, and the service is warm, attentive, and professional. Perfect place to study! The atmosphere is amazing, the lighting is lovely. Food is phenomenal from what I've tried so far, I love the chicken salad sandwich, and the drinks are amazing. Tradesman Coffee Shop and Lounge is a stylish spot that offers more than just coffee. By day, it's a great place to enjoy creative croissants and other brunch options, while at night it transforms into a cocktail bar with occasional live jazz performances. The old-world charm mixed with contemporary vibes creates an inviting atmosphere for both early risers and night owls. Customers rave about the friendly staff, delicious food, and awesome coffee and pastries.
The coffee and vibe here is great, lots of people studying at comfy tables and chatting. The breakfast sandwich was absolutely great, the bread was some of the best I’ve had with the sauce and egg, it all just melted together perfectly. Croissant was definitely picture-worthy, wouldn’t get again since there wasn’t really any red velvet flavor, just coloring with some very sweet cream in the middle. Overall, definitely a recommend for the coffee and savory items!

I spent two nights in Boston and enjoyed both of my breakfasts at this location. Everything was so delightful that I had no desire to seek out another place. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was even more impressive!

Tried the weekly special croissant at Tradesman and it was amazing! Filled with Belgian white chocolate and strawberry mousse, topped with buttercream, pink vanilla glaze, Fruity Pebbles, and a mini strawberry chocolate cone on top. Fun and flavorful with just the right amount of sweet without being too much. Atmosphere was great, real quaint and mellow. Highly recommend!
Tiago R — Google review
Walked out of the Dagny, figured I’d see what was around. Couple blocks later, just a Starbucks staring back at me like a bad joke. Turned around, headed back, and that’s when I found Tradesman Coffee Shop and Lounge. Place hit me right. The breakfast sandwich was a knockout, best I’ve ever had. Bacon, egg, cheese, spinach, some sauce I can’t name, all smashed between a homemade cheese roll that tasted like it came from heaven’s oven. Tremendous. Skip the Starbucks. Go here. Trust me.

Grab a bite and a great coffee along the Freedom trail or on your way to the aquarium. Outdoor seating is temporarily hindered by scaffolding, but there's plenty of indoor seats.

Perfect cafe ole breve with a delicious Mocha scone! Warm atmosphere & staff even when busy. Plenty of seating. Highly recommend if you're in the neighborhood or staying at Dagny Hotel.

As a coffee lover with a taste for the finer things, visiting Tradesman in Boston has undoubtedly been one of the most pleasant experiences of my trip. From the very first moment, the place exudes a sophisticated yet warm atmosphere, where every detail seems thoughtfully curated. The coffee is exceptional. You can tell they work with high-quality beans and flawless technique—each sip invites you to linger a little longer. But what truly elevates the experience is the team behind the counter. There's something in the way they greet you, how they remember your order, or simply how attentive they are without ever being intrusive, that makes you feel right at home. Without exaggeration, it's been one of the best customer service experiences I've had—not just in Boston, but anywhere in the world. And if there's one thing you absolutely must try, it’s their Turkey Sandwich. A perfect blend of flavors and textures, with that special touch you only find in places that genuinely love what they do. Tradesman is more than just a coffee shop. It's an elegant pause in your day—a place where coffee, service, and good taste come together in perfect harmony. Highly recommended.

French restaurant
Cafe Sauvage is a charming French restaurant located in Back Bay, offering a relaxed sidewalk dining experience. This Parisian-style bistro is owned by a couple who draws inspiration from their multicultural experiences in the 12th arrondissement of Paris. The menu features traditional French dishes like Roasted Chicken and Steak Frites, as well as diverse influences such as the Tajine with couscous, chickpeas, tomato, almond, and apricot confit.
This place is absolutely adorable, and the coffee and food are amazing! Started with the Almond croissant and a Nutella Latte, husband got a pumpkin latte. Both full of flavor! For breakfast we got the sauvage breakfast sandwich added bacon - perfection on a croissant, the side salad with a vinaigrette was crisp & fresh the ribbon carrots - stop it, so good! Hubs got the crispy chicken sandwich - creole flavors, super crispy, buttery bun and fresh lettuce, served with thin cut fries. Service was amazing loved that some of the staff spoke French. It was a transport to Paris!

I'm in love with this restaurant. Brings a bit of Paris to Boston. The food is outstanding!! Literally everything I've tried is such quality and reliably delicious. Service is great and atmosphere is cute. I love to come for breakfast -- omelets, the duck benedict, or my favorite the breakfast sandwich add bacon. All incredible, great portions and delicious.

Café Sauvage is one of those rare places that instantly makes you feel like you’ve stumbled onto something special. The space is small but full of life—colorful, stylish, and buzzing without being overwhelming. The food is where it really shines. Every dish feels like it has a story behind it. The flavors are bold and comforting at the same time—classic French roots with a creative twist. I loved how the menu had both familiar staples and unexpected combinations that just worked. Service was warm and genuine, not forced or rushed, and the drinks were just as thoughtfully put together as the food. You can tell the owners really care about what they’re creating here

We stopped here for a quick brunch on Saturday before heading up to Salem. It was an easy walk from our hotel, and since we were determined to try as much local food as possible during our short stay, this spot made the list. We got lucky and arrived just before the rush, so we were seated right away on their small patio. The food was absolutely phenomenal. I ordered the Filet-O-Fish sandwich, and the flavors came together perfectly with a lightly fried, perfectly cooked cod filet. I also had the Espressotini and honestly, it might be the best espresso martini I’ve ever had. No exaggeration, I’ve been thinking about it every day since. Service was quick and efficient, and the whole vibe was relaxed. If you’re in the area, I can’t recommend this little gem enough.

Over all is good. Nice pretty place. Food is good, French onion soup was delicious. Kind of disappointed on the avocado toast. I don’t like feta cheese so I got another cheese, but still looks like a half complete version compared to another persons photo… only two pieces of carrot and cucumber, doesn’t look very delicate.

I made a wonderful discovery today! The vibe was great, the service was quick, and the food was absolutely amazing. I especially loved the banana French toast, the duck Benedict, and the pulled beef on baguette. I can't wait to return and try more items from the menu!

Have been to La Voile, Ma Maison and places in Paris and Lyon and wanted to try something different here in Boston. Unfortunately it does not live up to the others. I had the grilled chicken with spinach and sweet potatoes. I expected unique flavors and spices but honestly, Seasons 52 or Market Basket had better taste. It was a bland 1/4 piece that was dry, without any flavor. A bit much for $30. Do you not brine your chicken for flavor? The sweet potato puree was bland as well, and they refused substitutions. At that price it was a small dish that was uninspiring. The short rib Bourguignonne ($30)was excessively salty and sent back after 2 bites. Others in our group agreed. Chef, taste your food first please. Tuna Tartare appetizer ($19)was very good and the replacement roasted eggplant had great flavor and was good. We received a desert comped which was a poached pear with pistachios and whipped cream. Very interesting flavors with spices. But, it was still hard and not poached enough and not sweet at all. Definitely have had better. Nope, wont be coming back especially after a poor example for an easy chicken dish that was expensive for the size, and the excessive salt used on the other dish. Plus you get charged a kitchen fee. Why? Also update your bathroom and lower the music. Back to La voile it is…

This is absolutely bel endroit and gives you the French vibes. We went there by our friend’s suggestion. It’s a cozy little cafe & restaurant offering brunch & dinner. I got a tasty chicken burger with fries and lattes. Everything was great and delicious! Definitely recommend it to others to try.

Bar
Nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of East Boston, The Quiet Few is a delightful bar that embraces the concept of 'top-shelf low-brow.' This unique spot offers an eclectic menu where you can indulge in caviar alongside classic hot dogs and sip on fine whiskey or frozen margaritas. With a cozy, dimly lit atmosphere, it’s perfect for those seeking a hidden gem. Whiskey enthusiasts will be thrilled by their extensive selection, featuring bourbon, rye, Scotch, Irish, and Japanese varieties.
Super fun place during my vacation. Staff were super nice and attentive. Food was excellent in my opinion. The “Cluck Yeah” sandwich was the best and their appetizers were instantly devoured by my group. The drinks were super good too! Highly recommend - price is up there for food, but it’s definitely worth it.

I see why this place has high ratings. When was the last time the bartenders thanked you (and every customer) for coming in to patronize their place? A small gesture but I felt it to be genuine. It’s a small place that can fill up quickly and empty just as fast. Huge selection of Whiskeys behind the bar but seemed to be mostly American and Bourbons from what I saw. They have about 4-5 beers on draft too. Food menu looks interesting with some eclectic dishes you don’t normally see at a local bar. If you’re staying at a nearby airport hotel and can walk or drive, I’d recommend it for a change from the standard hotel fare.

Stopped in with some time to kill in the city and was very impressed with their bourbon and whiskey selection! Their entire wall was full of brands. Even some super rare ones like Pappy and Wellers! The prices are very reasonable too! Bartender was super friendly, attentive. The food was amazing, the hell yeah burger was great and you can get fried pickles as the side! There is indoor seating, tables and bar and a table game of shuffle board. There is also outdoor seating. The music was on the louder side, but could still have a convo. Parking is on street.

My wife and I are locals here in Eastie and started coming to The Quiet Few the day it opened. I’m not at all exaggerating when I say these people are our family now. This is by far the best place I’ve ever been a regular at my entire life. The drinks, food and service are outstanding. I hesitate to add to much hype because I don’t want yall to blow my spot up haha but it really is the East Boston gem. Anyone who ever comes to visit us we always take them here and any life event we always celebrate here. I cannot imagine what our life would be like without them. Thanks and we love you.

If I could give this place a -10 review, I would I walked up just now with a bunch of stuff that had my breast pumping equipment in and the bouncer would not let me in said I had too much stuff. I was carrying a can of a white claw from a previous bar. There was no trashcan for me to place it in so I put it on the ground and he had seen that via a camera and that was also why he didn’t let me in. I explained that there was no trashcan for me to put it in and I did not know what to do with it. He continued to be very rude and would not let us in, and I explained to him that all my stuff was my breast pumping stuff as I just had a baby - literally 3 weeks ago. If he would’ve been nicer and explained better the situation I wouldn’t care his tone was awful and he was very, very rude to a postpartum mother, and it made me very upset.

While waiting out a rain delayed concert, my friend and I made our way to The Quiet Few on a Saturday night. The place was absolutely packed, but we managed to snag two spots at a corner table. You order with the bartenders at the bar and then take a seat to wait for your food. We both decided to order the Smash burger. My friend has a gluten sensitivity so she was thankful that they had a gluten-free bun. I ordered my Smash burger with a side of fried pickles. The Smash burger was juicy and absolutely delicious. The fried pickles had all of the saltiness that I was craving. To wash it all down and to celebrate the fact that it was her birthday, we decided to do a round of pickle back shots. Surprisingly, the pickle juice as a chaser was incredible and I think I may have found the only way I’m willing to take shots at this age. So if you find yourself in the neighborhood and craving a good smash burger, come check this place out. It is dimly lit, very loud, and a total dive, but worth it.

was staying one block down the way from here and I came back two nights in a row. I'm from Kansas City, MO and this place was cozy, a good selection of the brown waters and the fried pickles 🤌🏽 I find myself in Boston every couple of years and well, the Eastside is where it's at for me. Till next time, cheers

The Wig Shop is a trendy cocktail lounge located in Downtown Crossing, known for its high-quality drinks and playful atmosphere. Limited reservations are available between 5 and 7 p.m., otherwise it's first come, first served.
A true gem! I went for drinks, solo and on a Saturday night. There was only a 15 minute wait and I was able to get into a small table for 2 by myself but seated cozily next to a couple. I loved the vibe, low lights and ambience. I had read a couple reviews about bad service but I had a phenomenal experience. My server, Derek, was great. A lot of personality and great recommendations. Went with his favorite, the Yo Soy, and I can't get that drink out of my head. Not something I would have ordered without him, and I would have missed out. So many fun and unique drinks to try. I was afraid it would be awkward by myself in a place with no bar area, but I had so much fun. I can't wait to return with someone special.

We had a great experience at The Wig Shop - I’m really surprised to see some of the reviews here. The drinks were delicious and really well balanced, and the menu was interesting and creative. The hostess and the server were friendly and professional. The atmosphere was intimate, dimly lit and romantic. We visited on a Saturday and we had booked a table at 7pm (on Saturdays they only accept reservations until 7pm), so there was no wait. All around good vibes, we’ll definitely be back!

Excellent cocktail bar. I’ve visited a few times over the past two years and it’s always a great experience. The ambience is cozy, musics good, service great, drinks are high quality. Not sure what these negative reviews about the service/hosts, has never been my experience. It’s a pretty small space so they don’t always have space for everybody who walks in.

My boyfriend and I went here for the first time on Friday night and we had such a wonderful time!! The hostess Julia was fantastic and so kind and sweet. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to do her best to get us seated as soon as possible. She was kind and so welcoming and we had to give her a personal shout out. Our server was fabulous and fast and personable, and the manager stopped by to say hello as well which made us feel very special and like our patronage was appreciated. We aren’t from Boston, we were actually visiting from Canada and I can assure you on our next trip back to Boston we will be going again. :)

Great service and atmosphere! Cocktails were good, and fun. We especially enjoyed the theme touches like the bobby pin on a cocktail and the check brought to us in a hair curler!

I came here on a Thursday night with a reservation and was seated promptly. Initially coming in I had high expectations since I’ve seen this place on social media and ultimately was disappointed in the end. In terms of drinks and food I thought it was not bad but I did enjoy how creative the drinks were. The ambiance was fun and dim giving it an intimate feel. For the service, I felt that our server was not attentive and purposely chose to ignore our table. Towards the end of the night, we requested for the bill twice and towards the 2nd time our server said that he would grab it so that prompted me to call our ride home since we were in a rush to get home. After 10 minutes later, we still never received our bill so that led us to tagging down the host. Throughout the whole entire time we saw our server standing around and not attempting to bring our bill over. Eventually another server came and gave us our bill and we left feeling unwelcomed and disappointed because of the lack of attentiveness. Our group felt that the staff did not feel welcoming and came with a lot of attitude.

Finally had the chance to check this speakeasy out! It’s a cool little spot, and the interior was definitely different from what I imagined. There’s a bar, which I caught a glimpse of from our seat, but the main seating area has long drapes that create cozy, separated sections with comfortable couches and chairs. The menu is super creative and designed like a playbill, featuring a variety of fun, themed cocktails with cool names. They even offer absinthe! Great vibes, fun drinks, and while it wasn’t too crowded on a Thursday, there was still a good crowd.

Well first, let me say… when you receive the calendar invite it comes as “Dinner at the Wig Shop”. Stop right there. While they have snacks, they do not have a full menu. Definitely don’t make the same mistake I did and cancel your dinner reservations and expect to eat there. That being said, oh my. The drinks are fantastic. Just absolutely perfectly balanced and delicious. We ordered pita & hummus and olives to snack on which were solid but could’ve used 4x the amount of pita to the volume of hummus. The service was great and they were very available, knowledgeable, and kind. The bi-curious George was by far my favorite drink on the menu. I definitely look forward to heading back out ti Boston to go again.

Nestled in the heart of Cambridge, Cloud & Spirits is a vibrant new addition to the local dining scene that opened its doors in June. Housed in the former Cuchi Cuchi space, this trendy eatery has quickly gained attention for its innovative take on classic cocktails, particularly their standout Banana Espress—a delightful espresso martini infused with house-made banana milk. This unique twist adds a fruity dimension that patrons rave about.
We just hosted our 30th birthday party here and had an absolute blast! An incredible venue with trendy but still cozy vibes. Cory and Trevor were behind the bar and were incredibly helpful throughout the night. They helped us set up all of our decorations before our guests arrived and even included lasers, changing lights, and a fog machine! Totally unexpected but such a hit with our guests! We even got to set up a themed playlist! Also Cory and Trevor treated us to some amazing cocktails and shots that they created on the fly! Overall, we had such an amazing time and can’t wait to come back!

Could & Spirits is a great restaurant with incredible cocktails! The best drink in my opinion was the Crimson Garden. The ingredients for it sound simple enough, but the proportions and preparation made it a memorable drink that rose above it’s station. All the food we got was very good, but the standout was the Fried Chicken. I didn’t even get a chance to take a photo because I devoured it immediately! Overall this is a great place to go (especially for a date), but it can be expensive for the amount of food you get( excluding the Fried Chicken) so just keep that in mind. Came back here for brunch and I thought it was incredible! Definitely will be back here all the time for it! The Chicken and Waffles was a stand out

Food I cannot believe it took me so long to try this restaurant. It has been on my want-to-go list for a while now. The menu was very limited, and we ordered everything except the rip eye. I had to give it to the chef. Everything but the curry meatballs were phenomenal. I know it is so hard to get everything right, but they (almost) did it. We were so happy with every single dish , and couldn’t believe our last dish, curry meatballs, was so bad that I couldn’t swallow it. I still gave it a five-star because I highly recommend it to everyone. Everything else The decor was playful. It certainly matches the name, cloud & spirit. The service was great.

The welcoming was phenomenal due to the host seating my partner and I near a nice dim light so we can capture our evening with photos since I brought my instant camera. Very much appreciated. The set up and vibe was nice and mellow for a nice dinner date. I needed a pick me up so I went ahead and tried the banana espresso martini and it did not disappoint. Such a smooth taste on the taste buds. The courses were for sharing as this restaurant did their meals as tapas. So we ordered four different types we got the mushroom green salad, which was delicious for us mushroom and spinach fans. The sauce that came with it was a perfect blend. Then we tasted the Crudo which was fire kissed salmon with smoked creamy garlic, and this was by far one of my favourite dishes since it was a mix of cooked and raw. The top was kissed with a flamethrower to show its cooked portion. Following that we got the sesame white pepper chicken which was my partner’s favourite choice. It was a mix of crispy and tender when you bite into it. The white truffle blend was perfect with the peppers. And finally we topped it off with mushroom ravioli which was a perfect ending to the meal. Crispy ravioli but still soft enough to be a ravioli. My partner enjoyed it too and she’s not a mushroom fan so it speaks for itself. Overall the drink presentation with the fire on the lime on my mule was fun. This will definitely not be my last time there. I will come back to try more the plates and continue to admire the vibe it gives.

What a wonderful restaurant and new addition to the Kendall Square neighborhood. Came here on a Friday night around 8pm—reservations definitely recommended way in advance, since it was hard to get an earlier table! The aesthetics of the place are immediately welcoming, a nice blend of plants and architectural, very sleek. Service was prompt and super friendly; we especially enjoyed our waitress being very attentive and also helpful with how much to order. Onto the food: we were 4 people and got 8 dishes (so almost the whole menu) plus 5-6 drinks. Food first: 1- salad—excellent, one of my favorite dishes of the evening. Fresh yet smoky, with a delightful burst of sweetness from the peaches. If I could eat this salad every day of my life, I would not be upset about it (and I don't love salad)! 2- fried chicken—soooo incredibly delectable. Moist with a perfectly light, crispy coating, and the aioli was to die for. Really well done. Great textural contrast. 3- shrimp toast—a little salty! It was definitely good, but I think the shrimp part of the toast and the aioli combined overwhelmed the beautiful milk bread it was served on. Normally, I wouldn't mind, but the milk bread was so damn good I wish it could've head its own a little more. 4- butter rice ssam (we got 2 of these)—the crowd-pleasing favorite for many at the table. Exceedingly rich but balanced with the crispiness of the seaweed sheets and the king crab. Lucious amounts of king crab, great freshness from the veggies it was dressed with. 5- hwe dup bap—this was the letdown for me. The gochujang, even in a very small quantity, completely overwhelmed the freshness of the fish for me. The fish itself was quite fresh, obviously, sashimi-style, and the rice was lovely. But I felt the dish swung too much between "fresh and pure" (fish, rice, veggies) and "overwhelmingly spicy" (jalapenos and gochujang). Maybe I was just bad at dressing it, though. 6- spaghetti—this dish isn't so much a spaghetti as a red-sauce carbonara of the kind you'll find in izakayas. It was really rich, maybe a bit too much for so late in the meal, but the noodles themselves were perfect and obviously fresh-made. 7- ribeye—quite pricey but really nice. Good wrap options, delicious banchan, and the ribeye itself was prepared to perfection, tender and unadultered. Overall, I loved the food at this restaurant. The drinks were forgettable, though—possibly because soju doesn't really hold up flavor-wise to come through against other, stronger flavors. The prices are certainly steep, so come here for a special occasion.

A new locals' favorite spot that features creative cocktail selections and contemporary Asian cuisines with varied seasonal offerings. I've been meaning to try this place for a while, and finally got to pull the trigger this past weekend. With high ceilings and gorgeous decors, this seemed like a perfect spot for a romantic night out. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated at our table, and although our visit was around mid-March, we were still given their winter menu. Everything on the menu seemed appetizing, so we almost got everything on the menu except for the greens and the pasta. Fatty Hamachi crudo topped with ikura and sweet garnish was immaculate and kept my expectations high for this place. Sweet potato croquettes which came after was also delicious. Fillings inside were not too sweet and had a good amount of meaty flavors. However, the subsequent dishes were a bit letdowns. Arancini, duck wonton, jajang flatbread, and the gogi wanja were good but too plain in terms of their flavors. The amount of the black bean sauce on top for the jajang flatbread wasn't sufficient to encapsulate the richness of the sauce. The gogi wanja were also essentially meatballs with no unique elements except for the creamy sauce. Fortunately, the shoyu chicken and the Xian Street noodles compensated for their shortage with a nice surprise. The chicken was undoubtedly the best part of the meal as it was extremely tender and went heavenly with its respective dipping sauce. The noodles also had a good balance of flavors between the creamy peanuts and the spicy pepper flakes that came on the side. Although the food overall wasn't up to my initial expectations, the service and the ambience were perfect to make this a great night out. Would probably return for their cocktails and revolving seasonal menus.

American-Asian fusion cuisine located in Cambridge. Lowkey, cozy ambience. Our server was very attentive and nice. The dishes were creative in terms of the execution and presentation. However, I felt that the taste of the food was very bland and was way too expensive for the portions. I also initially expected something more flavorful since Asian cuisines typically highlight a lot on their spices and herbs😅 🥪SALMON SANDO-YAKI: Grilled Salmon, Whipped Cheese, Furikake, Charbroiled, Takuan Sambal Relish 🐔HAINAN CHICKEN ARANCINI: Roasted Chicken, Jasmine Rice, Ginger, Garlic, Mozzarella, Gochujang QP 🍄MUSHROOM RAVIOLI: Fried Ravioli, Forest Mushroom Mix, Edamame Pesto Cream Sauce 🍨MALTED CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM: Buttercream, Milo Malted Chocolate, Belgian White Chocolate

Small plates restaurant
Brighton Bodega is a trendy spot offering street food-inspired small plates with Asian influences, accompanied by a modern neighborhood bar scene. It shares a patio area with its sister restaurant, Devlins, where visitors can enjoy live jazz. The ever-changing menu features an extensive list of carefully crafted choices, including recognizable dishes with creative twists. The cocktails are amazing and the wine selection is delicious, while the knowledgeable and friendly staff enhance the dining experience.
WOW! I was genuinely blown away by this restaurant!! We stopped in for a late dinner on July 2nd, and the place was nearly empty, just two regulars chillin at the bar. Since it was the week of the 4th, the kitchen was closing early, which is totally understandable in Boston. But despite the timing, the staff welcomed us warmly. They didn’t rush us or make us feel like a bother, even with only 25 minutes left before the kitchen closed. Our waitress was incredibly kind and upbeat and matched our energy perfectly without being over the top. As someone who worked in the food industry for years before starting my own business, I’m super picky and notice everything. But honestly, there wasn’t a single thing about this experience that left me annoyed or underwhelmed. Another big plus: I’m really sensitive to the smell of bleach that often takes over restaurants as they clean up for the night. Thankfully, that wasn't the case here. The atmosphere remained calm and relaxed and non-toxic the whole time, making it a truly enjoyable experience. And, let’s face it, we all need more experiences like this, these days! Now, the food was AMAZING! I’m not easily impressed, but when I am, I tell everyone about it. The menu was creative, the ingredients were clearly high quality, and best of all, we left feeling so good without that heavy, uncomfortable post-meal feeling so common at other places. We really stumbled upon a gem that night. Everything else nearby had closed early for the holiday week, and this spot was still open, and amazing. We felt so lucky to find it and can’t wait to go back!

Second visit to Brighton Bodega, and we really enjoyed it again. By the name, you wouldn't think it has an Asian bent to it, and I kept thinking there would be tacos, but alas no. Chrysanthemum Caear salad isn't for everyone. Appreciate the creativity, and I liked it, but the greens will throw off most people, especially if you like Caesars. The steamed bun sandwiches are really tasty. Nashville chicken has a good kick. The double patty smash burger was presented so well, and my son enjoyed it. Their French fries are killer. My husband had the crispy chicken fried rice which was a generous portion. Very tasty! Shrimp chips are an odd addition. I had the duck lettuce wraps which were good, but not your traditional lettuce wraps. Needed real lettuce cups to scoop the mixture. The duck was just a titch salty. My Fire Flower tequila cocktail was really tasty and spicy! All in all, I would go back regularly to this fun bodega! Be warned, really hard to find parking in the area!

Great neighborhood place with a unique menu, like coming here and getting new dishes each time, all mostly worth trying once as the menu typically rotates, was not a huge fan of the crispy pork lettuce wraps due to presentation, I just felt like more could’ve been done, service is always friendly and staff are knowledgeable about the menu options, great place to meet up with friends

This was my first time visiting Brighton Bodega , my friend brought me for lunch. We walked in and sat at the bar. They do offer outdoor seating which is really nice too ! Drinks were good , I didn’t choose anything from the menu I had the bar tender just make me something and it turned out really good. The fried cauliflower was crispy, crunchy and saucy. 10/10 shrimp ceviche 10 out of 10 and the lobster rolls were so juicy buttery. The bread was toasted and buttery as well so damn good!

I want to start by highlighting the positive aspects of this Irish restaurant that specializes in fusion cuisine. The ambiance is nice and welcoming, and the staff is attentive and friendly. However, the food did not meet my expectations. We ordered duck-fat fries, mussels, lo mein, and peanut butter chocolate mousse. The Nashville fries were overly spicy, and the mussels were unseasoned, with the addition of bacon being quite off-putting. The lo mein was probably the best dish we tried, but the amount of oil used was overwhelming. The dessert was decent, but overall, the fusion element missed the mark.

The food was amazing! We had had one dish per almost every category on the menu and each dish was super tasty, no complaints what so ever. Everything looked like it was cooked fresh and very professionally done. The cocktails were definitely interesting but not my cup of tea unfortunately, which is not an issue, just an observation. My only real complaint was that it could get very loud at times, it was mostly because everyone was talking and having a good time but unfortunately a lot of the time I could barely hear my party speak to me across the table. It did die down eventually the later it got. Overall I really liked it, would definitely visit again just for the food alone. We had a very pleasant server, so the service was also great!

Went here on a whim right before dinner time, around 5 pm on a Saturday and got a seat right away. It was pouring rain that day so there weren't many people there but it did pick up around 6 pm. Tapas style so we shared our dishes. Just 2 of us. Got the duck in the buns, gongcha wings, and lobster rolls. I do not recommend the lobster rolls as there were 3 for 32$ and wasn't worth the price. Tasted ok. Buns could be more buttery. The duck and wings were 💣. Wings were mild and sweet. The duck had some sweet sauce and the buns were nice and soft 😉. Also got the blueberry cheese cake dessert thing. Was ok but i don't recommend. We got 3 cocktails and didn't like any of them to recommend. The drinks are on the harder side so if you prefer that then you got options. I definitely recommend this spot and I would go back to try other items. Our server John was great and said the menu changes frequently. The service was also quick and did not affect the quality.

Abe & Louie's is a high-end steakhouse in Boston that has been voted the best in the city multiple times. The restaurant offers a wide variety of meat cuts and an extensive wine list, attracting a sophisticated clientele including notable figures like Warren Buffet and Chad Gifford. It also features private dining options such as 'Louie, Louie' and 'The Board Room.'
I’ve been here a couple of times and both times were amazing! The first time was for my and my partners anniversary and they made it super special by giving us a free slice of cake with an anniversary note on it. The food was pretty delicious. Each time our waiter was very friendly and attentive. They go out of their way to make sure special occasions feel special. The inside of this restaurant is also beautiful and very classy. I definitely recommend coming here!

One of our new favorite steakhouses in Boston! Good food, good service, nice bar and interior. Would def come again, the steak was melt in your mouth steak. Seasoned perfectly. Crab cake appetizer was also 10/10, as well as all steak sides. Would recommend!

Here is the translation: The restaurant is located in the center of Boston, in the best location. We made a reservation for eight people. The restaurant is a bit noisy in the evening and when it's at full capacity. The food was amazing; we ordered carpaccio and soup for starters, and steak for the main course. Highly recommended.

My friend and I visited here in March 2024 for lunch and the initial intention was to order items from the restaurant week menu, but for some reason we weren't able to do so. We ended up ordering from the regular lunch and brunch menus, and our experience at the restaurant was still very good. The free bread with butter was very tasty, especially the type with darker colors, which I believe was rye bread. We ordered two types of cocktails, one called Poppin' Bottles and one called My Cherry Amour, and both of them had fruity flavors. They were mixed very well and my friend and I enjoyed the start of our experience very much as a result of the bread and drinks. I ordered the shaved beef hash and I thought the portion size relative to the price was very worth it because I was given a good amount of beef, potatoes, poached eggs, and muffin bread, all of which were filling enough for me to become full after the dish. My friend ordered the lobster club and in general had positive feedback about it without a reaction indicating that it was spectacular. Both the sandwiches and the tuna tartare were on the pricier end. Finally we had the vanilla crème brûlée, and since I cook this dessert at home, I thought it was okay because the vanilla flavor was only minimally infused into the mixture. Regardless, it was a good experience and I felt honored that I had the chance to visit a fancy restaurant like this in Boston. I am aware that the establishment has won some type of steakhouse award in Massachusetts from 2015 to 2017, so I would fully expect visitors to get steak here.

My husband and I have been here several times. We valet park, which is $28, and you message them when you will be out in about 15 minutes. Many cars are double parked out front. I ordered the filet with lobster and shrimp add-on. The cost was $105. I wish it included more of the seafood. Steak was tasty, seafood also, but could have been cheaper. My husband ordered the Ribeye and enjoyed it. We also got the broccoli and potatoes au gratin. Both were tasty. Also, we split a Caesar Salad, which is enough for 2 people. Noise level can be quite loud. I felt rushed a bit, which I do not want to be if I am spending more than $300 for my dinner. Waiter was attentive. Worth a visit if you can afford it.

Came here on a Sunday evening having made reservations ahead. Wow! What a delicious meal and the service could not be better. The waiter was extremely attentive and impressive. I mentioned that I wanted my martini ice cold and he brought the mix in an ice bath. They have only prime steak here and unlike other restaurants nearby, the steak is solo so if you want something with that, then you order a side which is enough for at least two people. We all ordered a salad, steak, some sides and then shared some desserts. The bacon in my salad as so good! Check out the photos. I highly recommend this place.

In a word, Sonny. Go there on a Saturday, Sunday or a Monday sit at the bar and listen to the world according to Sonny. All his regulars show up on those days and you are welcomed even if a stranger. The Martinis are classic, done right and the food is terrific. You cannot go wrong with the rib eye medium and a half side of fries and sauteed spinach. With this level of service and food, no wonder the place is packed!

Restaurant
OAK Long Bar + Kitchen is a sophisticated dining spot located in the Fairmont Copley Plaza hotel, offering farm-to-table American cuisine and craft drinks. The restaurant boasts a stunning patio with picturesque views, making it perfect for snapping selfies while enjoying cocktails like the Curious George. Inside, guests can admire the original coffered ceilings and enjoy top-notch bartenders. The menu features delectable dishes such as chocolate-glazed pancakes, smoked salmon pizza, and Maine lobster roll.
I recently visited this place for lunch with my friedn, and the experience was delightful. The food was exceptional (see photos), with creative and flavorful dishes that exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was also charming, with a cozy and inviting ambiance that made it a pleasure to dine. However, the service was a bit slow, with a noticeable wait between courses. Additionally, the selection of non-alcoholic beers was limited, which was a bit disappointing. Despite these drawbacks, I would still recommend this place for lunch. The food and atmosphere are well worth the visit, and the staff was friendly and attentive. With a bit more attention to service and beverage selection, this restaurant could easily become a top lunch destination.

My recent dining experience at OAK Long Bar + Kitchen was overall very good, highlighted by delicious food and a warm, inviting atmosphere that made for a pleasant evening. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance stood out — cozy lighting, comfortable seating, and a lively yet relaxed vibe that perfectly suits a special night out or a casual dinner with family. The food was the real star of the evening. Every dish we tried was flavorful and well-prepared. The grilled shrimp was exceptional — perfectly cooked and seasoned. The lobster roll was rich and satisfying, while the grilled chicken was tender and juicy. The bouillabaisse offered a nice mix of seafood flavors, and the warm sourdough bread was a comforting start to the meal. For dessert, the chocolate mousse was decadent, but the skillet cookie truly stole the show — warm, gooey, and packed with chocolate. It was the perfect sweet ending. However, the service left something to be desired. Our waitress was often hard to find, and the pacing of the meal could use improvement — all the dishes arrived at once, rather than being served in the usual appetizer-to-entrée order. A bit more attention and coordination from the staff would have elevated the experience even further. Despite the service hiccups, I would definitely recommend OAK Long Bar + Kitchen for its excellent food and inviting atmosphere. With a little improvement in service, it could easily become one of the best dining experiences in the city.

I could smell amazingly delicious food walking by and decided to drop in. Sat at the bar which is a very comfortable seat and VERY close proximity to others when busy (but still nice). Grey goose martini was perfect. Smoked bluefish pate was amazing. Beef tartare was oddly mayonnaise forward to my pallete.

We stopped by the restaurant and were seriously impressed. The burger was absolutely amazing juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The fries were just as good crispy and seasoned just right. We also tried the cookie skillet for dessert and it was delicious: warm, gooey, and the perfect sweet ending. The bread they brought out was fresh and fluffy, and paired perfectly with the honey butter, honestly, we could have eaten a whole basket of it alone. Service was top-notch from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. Whether you're staying at the hotel or just in the area, this spot is definitely worth checking out.

We had a wonderful dining experience! Our server, Xavier (or Hervé), was very helpful, charming, and a pleasure to chat with. The seafood bouillabaisse was outstanding and paired wonderfully with an Italian Pinot Grigio. The ambiance perfectly captures the essence of the Fairmont brand, blending deep historical roots with old-world luxury and a touch of modern flair. Definitely a memorable meal!

The Oak Long Bar & Kitchen is located in the Copley Plaza Hotel and it is very , very nice. My girlfriend and I had stopped in for a wine tasting and then had an espresso martini and it was delicious. The truffle fries were amazing.

We had a weekend stay at The Copley. Amazing hotel and service. Friday night drinks were fantastic! Great mixologist and exceptional service. Breakfast was good, service average. Saturday night dinner fell short of our expectations. Our server missed our appetizer all together and there was no attempt other than a simple apology to make it right for us. Service was below average. There is an opportunity for a more elevated and personalized experience.
Lynne M — Google review
To be honest, we were quite disappointed with the service we received when dining at Oak Long Bar & Kitchen. We were seated at one of the reserved tables for a 9pm reservation (I’ve been to the bar many times but this was my first time at a table). Over the course of an hour, our server came to our table every 5 or so minutes. She pushed us to order more food and also pushed us to close our tab at 9:30, saying that she “clocked out at 10” (the implication was that she wanted to make sure she got her tip). For a 9pm reservation, it felt completely ridiculous to be pushed through our meal from the moment she came to our table. We spoke to management regarding the situation and they took 2 drinks off our total bill (we were a group of 5) but truly left with a bad taste in our mouths. I was beyond excited to finally sit down and have the “full experience” here but I’m not sure I’ll ever return after this.

Had an amazing meal at Ocean prime a short time ago and must have forgotten to post a review. Started with the wedge salad but the star of the dinner was the fish. Perfectly cooked with a butter wine sauce that complimented the fish flavor without overpowering it. The butter cake was delicious and it's one of my favorite desserts. OPs take in it elevated it above is humble roots. I can't wait to go back. Hopefully soon

We made a 6pm reservation since it was a Friday night. We walked in 5 minutes early and were seated immediately, but it did get busy shortly after. We started with drinks as we reviewed the menu - a captain with coke and the berries and bubbles. The dry ice in the berries drink was a cool experience and tasted great. The manager, Tyler, walked around to welcome each table personally, which was a nice touch. We then shared the calamari as an appetizer, a filet with lobster tail and the 2 lobster tails for entrees, and the pumpkin butter cake and a crème brûlée. Everything tasted delicious; well seasoned, tender, melt in your mouth smooth. The pumpkin butter cake was unlike anything we’ve had before! The service was also exceptional - friendly, well-timed, organized, attentive but not overbearing. Overall a great night and worth the price!

Celebrated my anniversary here! It was my first time at Ocean prime and the food was divine. Our waiter was so kind and genuine. And the espresso martini + carrot cake was the perfect dessert.

I recently had my anniversary dinner here and was blown away by mostly everything. We were served by Hector who was a highlight of the experience and obviously loves his work. He explained everything including the incredible nightly specials. We got the wagyu which was incredible with a subtle earthy flavor. I also had a lobster tail which was nothing short of perfect. The brussels sprouts were also great, served with caramalized onions that gave it a sweet flavor. The asparagus was sadly disappointing which leaves my food portion of this review short of 5 stars. It was perfectly cooked (something i can never replicate at home) but the flavor was lacking. The hollandiase was a perfect consistency, but still lacking on flavor. We also got a free scoop of sorbet for the event which was amazing and blew my girlfriend away. lll be recommending this place to all my friends and will be returning.

We visited this popular if pricey restaurant, which was recommended by a friend who lives in the greater Boston area. I had the ribeye, oscar style (scallops and cream sauce on top of the steak with 3 spears of asparagus underneath). My 1st time trying it in this style and if I was a more experienced diner, I would have gotten the sauce on the side. Tasty, for sure, but I prefer my steaks pure. My date got the filet with a side of lobster tail and she loved it. Our server, a young, knowledgeable, soon to be mom, was fantastic! And, as has been noted in several reviews, the carrot cake was delicious!

I believe out of all the places I have been during my one week visit to Massachusetts, Main, and New Hampshire, this was the best place I had dinner at. Furthermore, being a creme brulee fan, I can guarantee youin my 20+ years in the USA searching for a good creme brulee, this is the first and only place who served a great and true creme brulee.

Service and food were awesome! We started with an octopus appetizer that had a nicely medley of flavors with the grilled octopus. I had the Moussaka vegetarian option that was delicious while my friend had a Mediterranean sea bass that she absolutely enjoyed.

Fin Point Oyster Bar + Grille is an upscale dining venue in Boston's Financial District, offering a refined atmosphere and a diverse menu influenced by global flavors. The restaurant is known for its raw bar and high-end seafood dishes. It's a popular spot for power lunches, romantic evenings, and indulging in espresso martinis. The establishment also offers outdoor seating with stunning city views.
We had an unexpected and amazing experience here. We randomly parked near the restaurant and decided to walk in on a whim. At first, it was quiet — but not long after we sat down, the place started to fill up fast. The food absolutely exceeded our expectations. The shrimp taco was just okay, but the clam chowder and seared scallops were out of this world — super well-balanced, rich in flavor, and packed with meat. We finished with the chocolate mousse, which was perfectly balanced — deep chocolate flavor without being overly sweet. Every bite felt thoughtful. 10/10. Totally worth the accidental stop.

Came in for martini and dessert after dinner. The bartenders were helpful and recommended the lemon cheesecake. It was outstanding, light and not too sweet. Expresso Martini by lady bartender was awesome and I've had more than couple over 40 years. So good, we came back next night. Wish we had dinner as our choice in north end was not good.

A Must. Fin Point delivers an upscale yet modern seafood experience. The interior is beautiful and well-maintained, especially the cozy lounge seating, which adds a relaxed touch to the elegant vibe. There’s also a sleek bar area and a handful of table options for different dining preferences. The service was generally good, though our server seemed a bit distracted, and drinks took a little longer than expected—but they were absolutely worth the wait. We came during their happy hour ($1 oysters on Fridays from 2–5 PM), and everything we ordered was a hit. The oysters were fresh and flavorful, and the mussels were exceptional—served in a rich, mouthwatering sauce with perfectly toasted bread for dipping. I’ll definitely be coming back to Fin Point.

My girlfriend and I had an outstanding evening at Fin Point Oyster Bar & Grill on Broad Street—part of the Hilton—sampling some of their standout dishes and drinks in a stylish yet approachable setting. We started with the Cold Seafood Tower ($89), a grand presentation featuring a luxe assortment of oysters (including Lemon Stone and Mere Points), jumbo shrimp, half a lobster, and salmon tartare. The oysters were fresh, briny, and beautifully chilled—perfectly reflecting Boston’s East Coast pedigree. Since we weren’t starving, but still hungry, we opted to share the Lobster Ravioli ($36), made with Maine lobster and ricotta in a creamy mushroom sauce ... It was indulgent, balanced, and enough for two without feeling heavy. A shoutout to our bartender, Stephanie, who brought energy and charm to the evening. She crafted excellent cocktails and kept the conversation as fresh as the seafood—she’s a real asset to the team. To cap off the meal, the restaurant surprised us with the Four‑Dessert Sampler (petit fours, sorbet, mousse, and strawberry shortcake)—each bite delightful and visually appealing. We paired it with a glass of Allegrini Palazzo della Torre Amarone red wine ($15), which offered deep cherry notes and a velvety finish—an inspired choice from Stephanie’s recommendation What stood out: - Fresh, varied oysters, especially Lemon Stone & Mere Points - Rich, flavorful lobster ravioli—perfectly portioned - Stellar service from Stephanie, our bubbly and knowledgeable bartender - Impressive dessert sampler and expertly chosen Amarone Bottom line: Fin Point delivers an elevated seafood experience with standout flavors and top-tier service. Ideal for a date night or special occasion—don’t miss the seafood tower and lobster ravioli, and let Stephanie guide you on drinks and desserts!

Partaking in a slightly later lunch, my friend and I made our way to Fin Point Oyster Bar during happy hour. She was thrilled because they offered $1 oysters during happy hour; so she ordered a dozen and devoured them. I am not an oyster girl so I just opted for a Caesar salad with some grilled shrimp. The salad was tasty and the shrimp were succulent and juicy. For a happy hour spot, especially if you like oysters, I would definitely recommend this place. If you don’t like oysters, like me, the salad was tasty and the shrimp were as well.

jm Curley is a popular eatery in Downtown Crossing that specializes in innovative American comfort food and offers a wide selection of beers, boozy shakes, and cocktails. The bar is named after the charismatic yet controversial Boston mayor James Michael Curley and features playful law & order bar rules. It also has a hidden 1920s-style steakhouse behind an 'Adults Only' sign.
Had an excellent dinner here! I was surprised it was so packed on a Thursday night, so I’m glad I made a reservation. I thought the salad and burger were excellent, but the spinach and artichoke dip was phenomenal. Definitely would go back! I also liked my cocktail which had elderflower and vodka in it.

We had probably our best brunch ever (no kidding) at jm Curley. We found another restaurant nearby by doing a Google search for “brunch,” but the line was crazy so we found jmC just half a block away. It didn’t show up on the brunch search and that’s a shame. The fried pickles as an appetizer were amazing - light tempura-style batter that didn’t overwhelm the slightly sweet thinly-sliced pickles and the sauce complemented it well. The chicken and waffle bowl was AMAZING - great, unique take on this brunch classic. Such a great combination of flavors! The tuna poke was delicately flavored and perfectly prepared, though it didn’t need as many wontons. Service was friendly and attentive, and the prices were excellent for the high quality food we received. Highly recommended!

Drinks were great, seated right away and server checked in a few times. My issue was the food, actually gross lol we got the nachos which was the fake cheese, I’m not a fan but I could live if it wasn’t COLD and lumped on. Even my friend who will practically eat anything thought it was gross. Otherwise nice place, maybe try the pizza or something

My family and I had a very pleasant dinner at JM Curley. The atmosphere was great and we were able to watched a Boston Celtics match. Dinner was good: chicken wings and Nashville hot fried chicken sando were amazing (very crispy and tasty), while we did not fully enjoy the mac n cheese (with pulled pork). It was too salty, too heavy cream, and we could not finish it. Probably, less and more diluted sauce would have been better. We also ordered a beer each, and skillet chocolate chip cookie as dessert. Total of 123 $ (pre-tax and pre-tips).

We came in for dinner and while we weren’t fans of the wings, the on-duty manager (Dan?) immediately noticed, asked if we didn’t like them, and without hesitation took them off the check. His attentiveness and professionalism really stood out, such great customer service. The hamburgers are absolutely outstanding! Even though the wings weren’t our favorite, the service and quality of the burgers made the experience worthwhile. We’ll definitely be back for the burgers and the great hospitality. Ask for Dan next time you go!

I’m not sure how I’ve never come across this place before but I’m glad I did! I was in search of a good burger - this place came up and did not disappoint! The atmosphere is great, service was fast and really friendly! I got beer but the cocktails looked SO good, I definitely want to go back to try one. I got the Curley Burger and it was so good! The fries were also delicious and they gave a good amount! My server was great, very friendly and welcoming. My only small complaint is I didn’t get sauce on the burger and asked for a side of BBQ and got charged $1, I know it’s only a $1 but if I’m paying $21 for a burger with no sauce you’d think I could get a side of sauce at no charge. This however does not stop me from giving the place 5 stars or from wanting to return to try a cocktail and one of their other dishes!

Cafe
Caffè Paradiso is a traditional Italian coffeehouse located in the North End since 1962. It's a family-owned establishment known for serving exceptional cappuccino, espresso, gelato, and martinis. While it's not ideal for full sit-down meals, it's perfect for grabbing a quick coffee or snack. The cozy ambiance makes it a great spot to socialize with friends over drinks and pastries.
I found myself at Caffe Paradiso with 2 of my closest friends, 3 aperols and 1 pistachio martini deep on a beautiful spring day in Boston at 4pm on a Friday. It was euphoric. I'm born and raised in LA, so I never understood the argument for people loving seasons. You'd rather freeze your bum off half the year than be warm year round? Yeah, ok... But living in New York for the past 3 years, I understand it. There is something about earning that first nice day after making it through a harsh winter that makes it so much more rewarding. You earned it. I imagine it's like going on a gnarly diet for 5 months, and then you have that first bacon cheeseburger. Of course that burger is always great, but it will never be better than when you've been starving yourself for months and then demolish it. There's also this collective energy in the air where everyone NEEDS to be outside. The entire city is defrosting. You can feel it. It's tangible. Personally, I'd still take the nice weather year round but at least I understand the argument now. It's always good to put yourself in someone else's shoes. It's the only real way to understand the world. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__

Came in from out of town, just walking around and decided to stop in for a drink. Drinks were fabulous however, the owner (lady) was RUDE! From the very moment we walked in, she continued to be rude, talked down to us, rolled her eyes, etc.. The Wait staff were excellent and verified that the rude lady was in fact the owner. I cannot believe she is a restaurant business owner. Customer service is far from her strong suit! Treated like garbage and angry about the experience even though the drinks were good.

Great little nightcap spot in Boston’s North End. Cozy, old-school Italian feel with friendly service that happily welcomes families. The pistachio martini is the clear standout — rich, creamy, and finished with a scoop of pistachio gelato that makes it part dessert, part cocktail. The gelato itself leans more American-style than traditional Italian, but still tasty and fun. Nice spot overall — likely worth a 4.3-4.5, but it gets the round-down on the scorecard. Perfect place to unwind after dinner nearby — relaxed, low-key, and very North End.

Hecate is a subterranean bar that embraces the mythology and mysticism associated with its namesake, the Greek goddess. Guests are presented with a leather-bound menu filled with intricate illustrations and incantations, but it's recommended to let the bartender work their magic. This establishment offers a small yet impressive cocktail list that incorporates underrated ingredients and stunning illustrations.
Hecate is an absolute gem! From the moment we made our reservation, Rose went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Her professionalism and warm demeanor set the tone for an incredible evening. The vibe here is unmatched—intimate, stylish, and buzzing with great energy. The drinks? Next level! The bartender was on fire, crafting some of the best cocktails we’ve ever had. Every sip was a masterpiece, and it’s clear they take pride in their craft. If you’re looking for a spot with top-notch service, amazing drinks, and a fantastic atmosphere, Hecate is the place to be. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

If you're looking for an intimate setting to enjoy some tasty drinks and conversation, Hecate is perfect for that. From the "sketchy" alleyway entrance, to the underground vibe, you're reminded of Hecate's domain being the goddess of boundaries, underworld and witchcraft. Music plays at a level loud enough to be heard but not enough to drown out the people you're with. Drinks are well crafted and taste great. The servers are so friendly and attentive. While experience ties together so well, loved every second of it.

Amazing and authentic place with a mind blowing mixologist! Definitely a spot to check out if you are visiting Boston. Arrive early (6pm) as they don’t take reservations by phone ( you can email them and see availability, but I advice that is a hot spot and gets occupied really fast. Amazing thing is that they overcrowd, really respecting the sitting capacity of the place. Gigi received me gracefully ( without reservation) suggested me to have a bite upstairs at the Krasi while hoping to get a spot for me. It was worthy the waiting as the drinks are out of this world. My advice, go as early as possible.

Hecate is one of those rare gems that feels like stepping into another world. Tucked away and hard to find—which only adds to its charm—this speakeasy is a true experience from start to finish. The moment you step inside, the atmosphere hits you: dark, mysterious, and beautifully designed with a witchy, occult-inspired aesthetic that’s immersive without feeling overdone. Every inch of the place feels intentional, from the lighting to the decor to the faint, moody soundtrack that ties it all together. The bartender (I wish I’d caught her name) was absolutely exceptional. She knew her craft inside and out, offering great suggestions and explaining each drink with confidence and personality. Beyond the skill, she was genuinely welcoming—easy to talk to and clearly passionate about creating a memorable experience for every guest. Her presence alone elevated the night, and she’s a big part of why this visit stood out as much as it did. The drinks themselves were as creative as the setting. Every cocktail felt carefully designed, both in flavor and presentation, and the balance between the visual theme and actual mixology skill was spot on. It wasn’t just for show—each drink had depth, thought, and precision behind it. Hecate ended up being a highlight of my entire trip to Boston. It’s one of those places that lingers in your memory long after you leave. The vibe, the people, and the atmosphere all come together to create something truly special. I would absolutely go again and plan to. In fact, it’s made me want to seek out more places like this wherever I travel—spots that focus not just on drinks, but on crafting an entire mood. Simply put, Hecate was unforgettable.

Really cool experience, very secretive location and interesting drinks. The staff was very nice, we had a great time. The only thing is the prices are a bit high, every alcoholic drink was $22 which is Ok but I wanted a bit more of a cool feature with my drink for $22. It was really fun, I might go back but the prices were what hurt the most. Would definitely return for that speakeasy experience though.

Came for a private event. Bartender was great, vibes were great. Love the venue and will be returning if I ever host an event. Fingers crossed foods from Krasi were also great

Epitome of speakeasy. Alleyway entrance, dark, mixology. The drinks are good but not great. They focus more on the exotic ingredients than on the alcohol. The menu has amazing artistic designs.
John G — Google review
When I asked the server if the drinks could be made without ingredients that I’m allergic to, he insisted smugly that everything was premade and nothing could be modified. When I went to the bar to ask the bartender, server accosted me at the bar and insisted that nothing could be done. He then offered to tell me what I could have, which I declined since I’m able to read English. I think the 20% auto-grat explains how atrocious the service was. Would not recommend if you have allergies or self-respect, better drinks and service can be had for less money and a shorter wait.

Bostonia Public House is a trendy two-floor establishment housed in the historic Board of Trade building, offering New England cuisine and a vibrant bar atmosphere. The venue's design blends modern touches with traditional elements, celebrating Boston's rich heritage. It is known for its great drinks and classic Boston fare like the famous Boston baked beans, traditionally served with brown bread. While some may affectionately refer to Boston as Beantown due to its history with molasses, locals rarely use this term.
We ate here twice in the span of 2 nights and like our experience each time. The shrimp cocktail is a must when you come here. The whipped feta app was good, but I don’t think it’s a staple. Instead, opt for the lobster tacos. They’re small, but incredible. The southwest salad was very nice. The scallops were very good, but could have been better seared. Let’s talk about the burger- Fantastic ! Get it. By far the best thing I had here and it was truly one of the best burgers I’ve had anywhere in the past few years. The cocktails were solid. Overall I love this place because it’s a nice atmosphere in a central location to the financial district and serves food late.

My friend and I came on a Saturday for brunch before heading to an all day music festival. It just so happened to be her birthday so we decided to splurge and treat ourselves. I decided to order the short rib poutine and a side bourbon-glazed cinnamon roll. The short rib poutine was out of this world and the dish was so massive it was more than enough food for two meals. The Bourbon-glazed cinnamon roll was tasty, although a little dry. The service was friendly and attentive, and my friend‘s mom even called the restaurant and paid for our meal to surprise her for her birthday. Definitely a good brunch spot if you find yourself in the area.

Lobster Benedict was amazing! Highly recommend and the potatoes were so soft and flavorful, by far my favorite breakfast potato I’ve had. Cinnamon roll was ok a little dry but likes the flavor. The build you’re own Bloody Mary was our favorite part to our Sunday Brunch.

We went to Bostonia to celebrate a birthday. The waitress was very attentive and gave us good recommendations. We tried two of their mock tails and started with some oysters. We wanted to try the whole menu but ended up having the stuff, crab cod. The atmosphere was very nice. They sent out a lovely birthday dessert and celebration. Their s’mores dessert was so yummy!

Okay, so our eating experience here wasn't great. We had a waitress that didn't smile. There was some confusion with my drink. To be fair, I was offered a replacement, but it was the most bitter Mojito I have ever tasted, so I couldn't drink it. Our food took over 30 mins to be served. On top of that, each dish was either salty, tasteless, or too small a portion to be worth the price, respectively. When asked by the waitress how our meal was going, we couldn't help but voice our dissatisfaction. I was very impressed when the manager later came out to apologise. He explained that they were having a busy day, which explains the poor service we received. He said the meals were on the house and offered us desserts on the house as well. We didn't go for the desserts but appreciated the gesture of goodwill. That was very good customer service. Kudos to the waitress for passing on our displeasure. The restaurant does have a lovely ambiance and the food was well presented.

Growing up in Boston, I knew that I’d have a fantastic dinner. However, Bostonia Public House was the perfect mix of Bostonian flavor with its own amazing flair! Karen served us and she was so incredibly sweet and so on top of everything. Now I can’t wait to get back again! We tried the poutine, poke bowl, PBH Burger and the Ultimate Burger. Everything was incredible (there really are no words to describe our experience). Don’t pass this one up - it’s the real deal! Thank you Karen!

What a gem! The Nashville Eggs Benedict was brilliant and perfectly hot when served. Our cocktails were delicious (A+ on the Espresso Martini) and our server Kim was phenomenal! It was my first visit and I can't wait to go back and will highly recommend this establishment. What a great place to celebrate Chef Jose's 30th!

Very nice place. Menu is large but not crazy. Lots of good options. Loved all the gluten free dishes. Could go here for a week straight and not have the same thing. Highly recommend for celiacs. I had the warm lobster roll and while it was small it was amazing. Service was good too. Good timing and friendly. Staff of was really on top of removing empties and keeping our drinks full. It was a little loud but it has a big bar and it was 5:30, so expected.

Grill 23 & Bar is a sophisticated chophouse known for its classic surf 'n' turf dishes and extensive wine selection. The restaurant boasts an elegant ambiance with white jacket-clad servers, ornate tapestries adorning the walls, and a dedicated second floor for private dining. As one of only 100 restaurants in the country to receive a Grand Award from Wine Spectator, Grill 23 & Bar takes pride in its exceptional wine list.
Over the past weekend, I visited Grill 23 for the first time with my girlfriends, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! The ambiance was elegant, the servers were incredibly courteous, and every dish was outstanding. We started with the most delicious caviar and Thumbelina carrots, followed by the American Kobe Cap Steak and Prime Ribeye — both cooked to perfection. We ended our meal with their famous coconut cake, and it was heavenly! Everything from start to finish was perfect. The atmosphere felt lively and special, with guests celebrating birthdays and dressed beautifully. I can’t wait to go back again!

Firstly let’s start with the good. The wagyu carpaccio was really nice, maybe some of the best I’ve had (even as a person who doesn’t usually enjoy arugula). The portion sizes were huge. However, in a lot of the dishes I felt it meant quantity was prioritised over quality. Also, I am a person who enjoys trying a little bit of everything or at least not feel extremely full by the time the second course arrives. The price was not justified and I felt I could’ve gotten a better steak frites for much less somewhere else. The ice cream was also just normal. Nothing was horrible (except the noise but I will get into that) but for the elevated price you’d expect much much more. Also for that price, you’d expect a certain ambience in which this place was extremely lacking in. The noise levels were so bad I had to shout to get my voice heard by my family and I resorted to using the noise cancelling feature on my AirPods (even then it was still loud). Final advice, come here for drinks if: you and your friends know sign language, you want to bring someone who’s voice you find annoying (because you can’t hear them anyway), you want to admire the nicely decorated and designed room and leave immediately. Also at the end of our meal, when dessert came out, they brought out the incorrect dessert for my mother, but then brought out the correct one after being told. TLDR: very noisy, subpar food (for the price) other than the beef carpaccio, service was fine, don’t come before your reservation time you will have to wait

Came to dinner on my first night in Boston. This restaurant was recommended to me by a true Bostonian. It was excellent. From the reception, the spacious venue and comfort all the way down to having a table in the middle of the room where you enjoy the ambiance around the room and have view of the kitchen, it was a show in the evening I was there. Full house. Not an empty chair. The best is always the menu. Food and Flavor comes always First. Yes the service and our server was exceptional. We had some steaks, beef carpaccio and a calamari to die for. This restaurant is classic. Do it.

Classy Steak & Seafood restaurant. Our steaks were delicious, tender and cooked to perfection! We had the Steak Frites and the Filet Mignon. We started with Lobster Bisque Soup. So nice to have a proper Lobster Bisque with small succulent pieces of lobster. With the steaks we ordered Au Poivre (Brandy Peppercorn Cream) on the side. If you like pepper steak, then this is a must have! The mussels were very good. So fresh and well seasoned. We finished dinner sharing a cheesecake. So delicious!

So the food was good and i might say even very good. But it did not have that wow affect so I can't give a 5. New york prime steak was good. The steak and frites were also nice. The crab cakes were mid. You can definitely give this place a shot!

Grill 23 & Bar was an incredible Boston dining experience. We started the evening at the gorgeous bar, sipping the most amazing martinis—served perfectly chilled and covered in a layer of frosty ice, making them as Instagram-worthy as they were delicious. The complimentary bar snacks were a great touch while we relaxed for about an hour. For dinner, I had a perfectly cooked steak with rich, decadent millionaire potatoes, and finished the night with a smooth espresso martini. The atmosphere is elegant yet inviting, and the service was top-notch. Grill 23 is definitely a must for both food lovers and cocktail enthusiasts.

I’ve been to grill 23 a few times before and always had great experiences, but unfortunately this visit was a bit disappointing. I ordered the steak Medium Rare, but it came out noticeably more on the rare side. Even the waitress mentioned it was a little under medium rare and said they could have put it back on the grill if we wanted — but by that time, we were already almost done eating, so it didn’t make sense to send it back. Another thing that bothered me was that while we were still finishing our meal, the staff started clearing our table. I was talking and didn’t fully notice until they had already taken away most of the dishes — including some side dishes I hadn’t finished yet. Overall, although I really like this restaurant and have had great experiences in the past, this visit was disappointing. I’d rate it around 3 out of 5 for this time. While writing this review: I realized my beer got taken away without asking! RUDE!

The service was great and the staff are lovely. The restaurant's atmosphere is great for a date or celebration dinner. We tried the 3 course menu at dinner. The complementary breads 🥖 were actually really good and I used it to dip it in the seafood chowder (1st course) 🐚🐟 and it was amazing!! The chowder was 10/10. For the 2nd course, we tried the Steak Frites 🥩🍟 and Roasted Heritage Chicken 🍗. The steak was seasoned well (although I found it slightly salty) and was good but could be more tender. The chicken was moist and good (although the chicken breast part was a little dry). The 3rd course was dessert, and we got the Zucchini Cake 🍰 and the Salted Caramel Sundae 🍨. The Zucchini Cake was my favorite!! So delicious, not too sweet, moist and went so well with the oat crumble and blueberries with the yogurt mousse (my favorite out of everything I ate).

Beantown Pub is a stylish coffee bar and traditional American pub located in the heart of historic downtown Boston, along the Freedom Trail. It's a popular spot for both tourists exploring the trail and locals looking for a casual hangout. The menu features classic pub fare like wings, cheese fries, and fried pickles, as well as New England favorites such as fried chicken, pot roast, and fish & chips.
This place is a 10/10. We were in Boston for 5 days over St Patrick's day and we first stopped at Beantown after our flight. Immediately, we were greeted with amazing food and a great staff. Over the next few days, we found ourselves returning to Beantown for the incredible food, welcoming staff, and the rugby games. We tried everything from the lobster roll, burgers, wraps, hotdogs, and wings. Everything was so good. Everything you'd want on your first trip to Boston. Beantown can easily be a one stop shop for the best wings, lobster roll, and wraps in town. I highly recommend this pub. It truly made our trip special and allowed us to introduce our Irish friend to the best first experience in America. Special thanks to Sharon who was so generous and hospitable to us. We felt like regulars after only a day. Our wait staff and bartenders were incredible as well. Matt, Michael, Bailey, and Kathryn made this place extra special during our stay.

Only the most famous pub in Boston. Where else can you go to have a cold Sam Adam's while checking out a cold Sam Adams....😉👉 Great staff and great food still after 20 years which was the last time I was here. Stop in and grab a Beantown Ale.

Fun bar with two different eateries, a coffee house on one side and bar on the other. Stopped in to try the famous Boston baked beans with brown bread. Beans are cooked in house, sweet and tender. Bread for me was too sweet but others in my group liked it. Nice beer selection too and a fun take on drinking Sam Adams while looking at him. His burial site is across from the bar.

A pretty unique place where you can "drink a cold Samuel Adams while viewing... a cold Samuel Adams" 🤣. Took a picture from the table nearest to the window and facing the grave. Asked for special shaved ice drink with Orange flavor and whiskey. It was delicious. Sometimes worth asking things off the menu! Tried the fried pickel for the first time, apparently per my friend who had tried different fried pickles in the past that it is one of the best he has had - crispy outside with just right amount of batter and the thickness of the sliced pickel was also perfect 😎👌👌. Had a good time there.

Spent a long weekend in Boston with a group of buddies. This was the first place we hit for a pint. Atmosphere was great! Our server Julia was an absolute gem. Quattro is a cozy and casual spot located in the North End, known for serving one of the only Neapolitan pizzas in the area. The restaurant features a custom-made brick oven imported from Naples, offering a menu filled with Italian dishes that will surely impress. With its small yet intimate setting, Quattro provides a lively atmosphere and hearty portions. The restaurant's marble bar allows diners to catch a glimpse of the kitchen's activities while enjoying their meals.
Okay, let's get you a five-star review for Quattro, the Italian restaurant in Boston's North End! From what I've seen, it's known for its lively atmosphere and excellent food, especially the pizzas and pasta. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quattro: A North End Italian Dream! 🍝🍕💖 OH MY GOODNESS, Quattro in Boston's North End is an absolute GEM! From the moment we walked in, the vibrant energy of the place just swept us away. It's lively, it's buzzing, and it feels like you've truly stepped into a little corner of Italy! 🇮🇹 The food? INCREDIBLE. We dove into their brick oven pizzas and were blown away – the crust was perfect, and the toppings were fresh and bursting with flavor. And the pasta! Each dish tasted like it was made with so much love and authenticity. You can tell they put so much care into every single bite. The service was also top-notch, attentive without being intrusive, and really added to the fantastic experience. If you're looking for an unforgettable Italian meal in Boston, with amazing food, a fantastic atmosphere, and truly great service, you HAVE to go to Quattro! You won't regret it! ✨🍷

Food was good overall, we felt the meatballs were the best dish here. There is better chicken parm in the north end. Also WATCH OUT! They only ask if you want still or sparkling water and they charge you TEN $10 DOLLARS PER BOTTLE. You have to ask for tap water which they do not even advertise. Was not happy about this. I was trying to save some money by getting water but instead I could’ve got drinks. Disappointed. While the food is good, there are better north end options.

Quattro: The North End was an Italian Dream! The pizza fritta was amazing and huge! We ordered 3 of them. We happen to be in the area and with the amount of folks in the restaurant we decided to try it and was super impressed. The food was true Italian and delicious, a tad expensive but worth it! The atmosphere was pleasant. The restrooms were sparkling clean. The waiter was kind and watched what we needed. They were super helpful and tasty!

A cozy corner spot in Boston’s Little Italy. Bustling and lively, it serves everything you’d expect from an Italian dinner experience – a small, cozy set-up, with tables close together, generous portions, and classic comfort food. We started with the bread and pesto: simple and solid. Can’t go wrong there. Then came the chicken soup: we were shocked at how big the bowl was. You could easily split it. Packed with chicken, veggies, and real flavor – total comfort food. The lasagna was the best thing we had: rich and cheesy. A must-order. The chicken parm was good – big and crispy – but I’ve had better. Service was friendly despite the crowd – and sitting by the open windows looking out onto the street made the meal even better. If you’r craving generous, well-made Italian food - Quattro is a solid pick. Just make sure someone at the table gets the lasagna.

the food here is really fantastic and the dining room and kitchen are gorgeous. the staff acted like they were from Olive garden* though. there is a pizza window directly to the kitchen from the sidewalk and would suggest going that route the gnocchi and meatball app were truly great, the mushroom pizza was very good bathroom was a standout more for the single person setup with a giant two-person sink than the uncleanliness *this is not a compliment

Came here with a large group with a reservation at the recommendation of one of the party who is Italian and thinks the pizza is the most authentic to what he can get at home. For appetizers we had the calamari, the zucchini flowers, and baby octopus. I was surprised at how heavy and coated the zucchini flowers were as I thought it would be a lighter dish. The octopus was good although not all of the party enjoyed the texture and calamari was typical. We tried many of the pizzas. The dough is fantastic. I was surprised by the mortadella and pistachio pizza but it was fantastic combination of flavors. All the pizza was great. They come in a quarter slice. Perhaps we could have asked for smaller cuts but we ended up cutting it ourselves at the table as everyone wanted to sample. We tried two pasta dishes and passed it around the table. The fruiti de mar had salmon which was not my favorite fish to have in pasta and the fusilli was also ok. I would stick to pizza in the future here which was delicious.

We had a great dining experience. From the food, to the service and atmosphere everything was top notch. The family style dishes were filling and very flavorful. I would say that for 2 ppl, 3 dishes is more than enough. We didn’t have room for desert. The drinks looked great; and the non-alcoholic beverages were reasonably priced. Would definitely go back there!!

Among the best food in Boston… with lemon ricotta pancakes that are life changing and really hit the spot for brunch. Shockingly not crowded even on a popular Sunday! How is this possible? Pricing is on the higher side, sure — but it’s worth it and portions were large. Dinner may not be the same story. We ordered across the menu and didn’t have a single un-devoured item among the lot. Desserts are decadent and could honestly stand to be less luxuriantly sweet, but the savory dishes were stellar throughout - although I’m going to break my own rule and say the sweet\savory pairs especially the pancakes and French toast were of course the best of the whole selection. The crispy potatoes… incredible! “60 degree eggs” run a bit soft so request a higher cook temp for those if you can. Try the steak+eggs Benedict too; those were another stand out. Burger was solid. Sandwich was solid. Nothing too fancy from the greens alongside, could have used more color there perhaps? A little tomato and feta? Outdoors can be WINDY so be aware. It was a little annoying but nice and secluded behind the venue. Indoors is cozy, darker, pretty standard for the area. Service is friendly and attentive. Do not miss this brunch! Bring a jacket if outdoors though. Would love to see heaters installed in this area. Portions are plenty big. The idea of 1-2 per person is generous and contributes to the high cost some reviewers cite. Maybe this is a bit different during dinner. Most folks will find one dish is enough but it can vary from dish to dish. Pictures will be helpful here so check those out.

I haven’t been to this beloved brunch spot in quite some time largely due to the persistent challenge of securing parking, but it has remained one of my perennial favorites. On this return visit, we ordered the farm vegetable shakshouka and the French toast with roasted strawberry and rhubarb, and both dishes reaffirmed why this place holds such high esteem in my memory. The farm veggie shakshouka was a standout. I deeply appreciate that they offer a vegetarian version of this traditionally egg-centric dish, and as the name implies, the vegetables were impeccably fresh. More than just an assortment of seasonal produce, the vegetables were thoughtfully chosen and well-textured, allowing them to stand up to the richly spiced tomato base without being lost in it. The balance between the earthy sweetness of the vegetables and the warming acidity of the sauce demonstrated a nuanced understanding of the dish's North African roots. The French toast with roasted strawberry and rhubarb was equally exceptional. The fruit, rather than being an afterthought or garnish, was roasted to intensify its natural sugars and deepen its flavor. The strawberries brought a bright, almost jammy sweetness, while the rhubarb offered a subtle tartness that cut through the richness of the toast with elegance. Together, they created a vibrant interplay of flavor and texture—a true celebration of the season’s best. This meal reminded me why, despite logistical inconveniences, this place is well worth the return.

We started with the morning fog drink and coffee. Coffee was smooth, drink layers of flavors amazing. We started with the side biscuit and it was amazing and the homemade butter perfect. We split the focaccia egg sandwich and French toast between us and had plenty left over. French toast was not too sweet, greens on the side of the sandwich and the sandwich was incredible. What a great chef!!

Ive been a few times during brunch. Once in a group of 2 and another a group of 7. Both times I reserved in advance which was especially necessary for the group of 7. The back patio is lovely during the warmer weather, otherwise, I like inside under the skylight. The interior of the restaurant is dark and has a dimmed light atmosphere which isn’t my favorite for brunch. The Montecristo sandwich was really great as was the focaccia egg sandwich. The bravas skillet is 90% potatoes so I’d only recommend for potato lovers.

The chicken fried rabbit was slightly overpowered by the blue cheese, Duck pierogi could’ve been better with less dough, for the steak, the meat was sort of chewy although the color for medium rare was correct. Monica's Trattoria is a small Italian restaurant tucked away in the North End with a menu limited only to pasta. The owners, Patrick and Frank Mendoza, learned their trade from their mother Monica and twenty-five tables are always busy. Among the appetizers on the menu are bruschetta, arancini, and calamari.
I'd heard so much about Monica's before my first visit that I was worried I'd be disappointed. If anything, the food was UNDERHYPED: the sandwiches were absolutely outstanding, with fresh and delicious ingredients perfectly arranged to make the best Italian sub I've ever had. I'm absolutely not exaggerating when I say that I was daydreaming about it a week later. The counter-only service was quick, friendly and efficient, and the prices are reasonable for the high quality of the food. Food is good. Price is reasonable. The service we got is subpar compared to other table. 20% gratuity was added for party of two.

As we walked up to the hostess table the three women standing there turned away or walked off. (Assuming it's not their job, but they could've informed us that the hostess would be with us. The atmosphere appears great, but the super loud dishes clanking in your ear ruins that illusion. As one of the employees was cleaning off the table the wiped the food off the table and onto my dates feet. The fried zucchini appetizer was a tasteless empty puff. The expresso martini was delicious but not strong enough. Our waitress was great. Very kind, helpful, and attentive. We enjoyed our entrees. Fettuccine with marinara and mozzarella.(Maybe a little too bland) Spaghetti carbonara.(Maybe a little too salty)

Great food, good atmosphere, great service. Had the calamari appetizer and it was huge and delicious. The carbonara was great and the sauce on the ravioli was exquisite!

Had an awesome experience at Monica's! The food was incredible, maybe the best ravioli I've ever had. The vibe was really cool and casual in the restaurant but the difference maker to other north end restaurants was the service. Val, our server, was so friendly and kind, knew the wine and food really well for recommendations, and was perfectly present when we needed her but didn't rush us. Definitely recommend Monica's and Val as your server! Also, get the espresso martini, it's as good as advertised!

We went for dinner and had multiple appetizers and meals and sides. Also two drinks. One drink was mostly syrup. The appetizers were good One meal was nice and the three others were mediocre at best. One meal we boxed and gave away when we left the restaurant. It was not great. The service was good and attentive. Some plates were not clean. It is a below mediocre restaurant for the north end. There are many others that are priced similar and have much better quality food and a better atmosphere.

Consistency is the hallmark trait for excellence. Monica's continues to deliver exceptional service, delicious food in an atmosphere of wholesome family space. Over the years I have sampled almost everything on the menu, and I have settled on my favorite dish - chicken Parmesan over penne with vodka sauce. Having spent the day looking forward to my meal, the expectations were high that the dish would again present a unique flavor and very high-quality chicken with perfectly cooked penne pasta. I was not disappointed. My guest on this evening chose something different and experienced excellence that has come to be synonymous with Monica's. Our hostess for the evening, Nicole, continues to deliver extremely high-quality and attentive service. With familiar recognition she greeted us with a huge smile. I can still highly recommend Monica's.

Mastro's Ocean Club is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an upscale dining experience in Boston. Nestled in the vibrant Seaport district, this elegant steakhouse offers stunning views of the harbor, making it perfect for a special night out. Guests can indulge in extravagant dishes like the impressive 40-ounce Tomahawk Wagyu Chops while sipping on one of their signature martinis—so good that even Beyoncé has mentioned them!
I have had nothing but outstanding experiences at Mastro’s Ocean club. The service is second to none, from the hostesses, the waitstaff, the servers, and General Managers. They go out of their way to ensure you have had an impeccable experience. The food is always perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. They are right on the harbor and they do have seasonal outdoor seating , but even inside you can see the boats sailing by and catch a pretty sunset against the city backdrop. Mastro’s will always be my go to favorite dining spot. I highly recommend it to all.

Top-notch service. The staff, all in cream suit and tie, were incredibly attentive, checking in regularly and packing up our leftovers with care. Very professional and friendly throughout. We ordered the ribeye and the NY filet. While we’ve had better steaks elsewhere, my husband (who’s very particular about his steak) was happy with his meal and said he could definitely see bringing his parents here for a nice dinner. The restaurant is quite spacious, but unless you’re in a large group, you probably won’t be seated right by the window or get much of a water view. Still, it was a solid experience overall.

My boyfriend and I went to Mastro’s Steakhouse for a date night, and we were excited to try it. The dinner and appetizers were good, and the wine we had was enjoyable as well. The staff was very friendly and upbeat, which added to the overall atmosphere. We weren’t looking for complete silence, just enough volume to enjoy the ambience and actually be able to chat. Unfortunately, it was a bit too loud to comfortably have a conversation. Overall, it was a good meal with great energy, but the noise level made chatting a little challenging.

Oh my goodness! This place is the dream! I highly recommend it! The service, food and atmosphere were all top tier!!! We will be coming back regularly!!! My husband and I love the managers so much! They’re personable and caring! They make every customer feel seen and known. It is a great spot for that special occasion like a birthday, anniversary or just a fancy night out!!!

Food and drinks excellent, though expensive Took too long to get drinks (order) and food. Took 3 hours for dinner. We weren't in a rush, but I did notice others around us served much faster.

An exceptional dining experience at Mastro’s Ocean Club in Boston ! From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed into an elegant and refined atmosphere. The service is flawless—attentive without being intrusive. The seafood and dishes are incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The setting is upscale, with a great musical ambiance in the background. A perfect spot for a special evening or a memorable dinner. Highly recommended for lovers of fine dining!

From the moment you walk into Mastro’s in Boston, you know you’re in for something special. The ambiance is upscale and electric — perfect for a celebration, a client dinner, or just an unforgettable night out. The service is impeccable; every staff member is attentive, professional, and genuinely invested in making your experience exceptional. Now, the food — absolutely flawless. The bone-in filet is hands down the best steak in the city: rich, buttery, and cooked to perfection with a flawless crust. The seafood tower is a showstopper, and sides like the lobster mashed potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts elevate the meal even further. The live music adds an elegant touch to the evening without overpowering your conversation, and the dessert selection — particularly the warm butter cake — is the perfect ending to an extraordinary meal. If you’re looking for the best steakhouse in Boston, Mastro’s is it. Consistently excellent across the board. Five stars, no hesitation.

The best Restaurant I've ever been around that area. Me and my wife went to the place, which is cozy and quiet, you could definitely expect a high end experience, because they will provide that to you for sure. All started with the host, and then the service provided by the waiter and the whole team, looked like they were happy to serve us, and provide the best they could, and food? Unreal, and absolutely amazing and tasteful! Don't hesitate to visit Mastro's Ocean Club! it's a MUST! Congrats on your place, team, food, and service !

Nestled in the heart of Jamaica Plain, The Haven is a charming Scottish tavern that invites you to experience the warmth and flavors of Scotland. This cozy gastropub specializes in traditional dishes like creamy Cullen skink and hearty Shepherd's Pie, perfect for warming up on those chilly Boston evenings. With an impressive selection of Scotch whiskey and ales, it’s a haven for spirits enthusiasts looking to indulge in something special.
Love this place for tastings or food or events! Whatever it is is amazing. I love scotch whisky and it has the BEST selection in Boston but even our friends who aren't into whisky can find stuff they like. The food is also awesome, for my omnivore partner and myself as a vegetarian. He always gets a scotch egg and we get deep fried mars bar (pictured) and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. The haggis is pictured too. Something for everyone and Jason, the owner, is a legend. He puts on great tastings and events, highly recommended.

I was prepared to give this a lower star ranking because the server seemed a bit overwhelmed and frazzled. She went through our order twice and still didn't repeat it correctly, so we definitely didn't think our food was going to come out right. But honestly, it was great! We were looking for authentic fish and chips, and we were not disappointed. They were exactly what we were hoping for. We were taking a brewery tour at Sam Adams next door and typed in 'fish and chips' and this was highly ranked so we had high expectations. Drinks were good, nice atmosphere,... The brioche french toast was amazing!! Homemade whipped cream was perfection! Glad we stopped!

Found The Haven via Eater’s list of best fish and chips in Boston. The fish dinner was definitely delicious - crispy, tasty, with homemade tartar sauce and ketchup - but the Haddie Croquettes were exceptional. Smoked haddock, potatoes and, apparently, magic were well-balanced and perfectly seasoned, and the cherry chili aioli was delicious and an inventive accompaniment (also yummy with the fish and the chips). Service was excellent, very friendly. I went back looking for a lost earring, and Gabriella took my number and a photo of the other earring to share with the staff WhatsApp group. She thoughtfully texted me this morning to tell me that unfortunately it hadn’t been found. Truly above and beyond. Thank you! Please give her a gold star and a raise.

Great Scottish place around Boston!! Reminded us about all the best things about our Edinburgh trip!! Food was delicious, would highly recommend the Shepard's pie and sticky toffee pudding. But honestly everything we drank and ate, we enjoyed. Also felt like we got a great value for the meal we had! We would highly recommend to friends and family!

Great spot in the heart of JP for hearty Scottish food and a pint! The sassich and mash was buttery with delicious gravy and nice accompaniment of veggies. One of the few places to find thick, creamy, and smokey cullen skink. Dining hall and bar has some rustic but funky decorations.

A very cool loft-style restaurant, a former brewery. The building holds a lot of history. Incredibly delicious food and good service. Delicious cocktails too. I recommend visiting.

Had a private birthday party here. The spacious event space opened up to the outdoor patio, creating a grand indoor outdoor experience for guests. The service was exceptional; very attentive waitstaff, quick service from the bar and kitchen, ease of event booking with management. Reasonable price for the booking as well. Food was excellent and came out hot. Ordering the chunky chips (potato wedges) is a must! Some of our guests had been here before, but never for an event, and were very impressed. Public transit accessible and easy car parking is a plus. We'll certainly be back for the restaurant, and are considering this venue for future events. Highly recommend.

Shōjō Boston is a trendy late-night gastropub known for its elaborate murals and offbeat takes on modern Asian cuisine. The bar offers superbly crafted cocktails and tantalizing dishes, such as the smoked barbecue sauce-drenched Shojo Pig Bao and the massive Shojonator burger. With an impressive collection of whiskey from Japan, Taiwan, and the U.S., as well as creative cocktails like Vietnamese coffee martinis, Shōjō's drink selection is equally impressive.
I found this place on Google maps because I was looking for something that was close by to the Boston South Station so that I could walk over to my train there after eating. I was the only one standing in the restaurant, but still the staff were very attentive, and lovely. I had the popcorn, chicken and the bone battle. Both were excellent and quite fair for the price as far as Boston is concerned. The food came out very quickly too! The place was clean and the waiter even helped me decide how much of a portion to order and was spot on! Would definitely return as I really like the menu and just wish I could have eaten more.

Went here on a rainy afternoon the day after I arrived in Boston. No problem getting a table but did get very busy about 15 minutes later. It has more of a bar vibe than restaurant but that was fine. Had a decent variety of dishes and they were all fantastic. The unique drinks were inventive and tasty. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Boston.

Went on a Saturday afternoon so the menu was limited. Ordered eggplant bao which was good, monkey chicken and chicken and waffle are okayish. Also had mai tai which was very strong. Overall the food was average.

I really wanted to love this place as everything on the menu sounded great. The staff were kinda mundane and service seemed unusual slow. We try many different dishes and honestly they were fine just nothing really stood out as great. The portions were relatively small but probably fair for the price. Overall maybe I came on the wrong day, but I won’t be visiting again.

I think the marketing is misleading, this is a drinks & apps/ little bites place, not a full meal restaruant - at least not at lunch time. Food was good for what it was, but was not enough for an entire meal. Ended up next door at China pearl hours later and wished we went there in the first place.

Searched tapas for some smaller plates, and Shōjō delivered. Had their Edamame dumplings, Fried Eggplant Bao (spicy!), and Taiwanese Basil Popcorn Chicken. All excellent. Staff was friendly, vibe is chill. Recommend to everyone.

The place seems very popular because it got very crowded soon after we arrived. We arrived early because we had to catch a show later. The place is more like a bar and very dark that hard to read the menu. The server who seated us seemed damn care but later another one was lovely. We got Bao and kimchi fried rice and both were very salty. Maybe bad day for us!

Always a great spot for drinks and good vibes. They offer a solid selection of shareable bites, which makes it perfect for groups or date nights. My partner and I tried the duck fat fries, Wu-Tang tiger style ribs, and the pork belly baos. The duck fat fries were crispy and satisfying—nothing too out of the ordinary, but definitely well-executed. The baos featured generous cuts of pork belly that were tender and juicy. I personally would’ve liked a bit more sauce to balance the flavors. As for the ribs, they were tender—fall-off-the-bone quality. While the flavor profile wasn’t my favorite, I really appreciated how meaty and well-cooked they were. Overall, it’s a great evening spot to hang out with friends.

Assaggio is a charming Italian-American restaurant located in the North End of Boston, offering an intimate and romantic dining experience. The menu features classic Italian-American dishes with a focus on seafood. Notable highlights include the rich and flavorful Lobster Fra Diavolo, where whole Maine lobster is expertly combined with garlic and Colino tomatoes, creating a robust yet refined dish.
Our experience at Assagios was perfect! We were seated right away with menus and water, and bread oil came. Drinks were quick and food came out fast and delicious The service was excellent! I can’t wait go back !

Our experience at Assaggio in Boston’s North End was underwhelming. We were seated 30 minutes after our reservation, which got the evening off to a rough start. We tried the shrimp cocktail and carpaccio as appetizers. The carpaccio was flavorful but served in a very small portion, and the shrimp cocktail was average at best. For my main course, I had the spaghetti and meatballs, which lacked seasoning and depth—it felt uninspired for an Italian restaurant in this neighborhood. While the ambiance was nice, the food didn’t meet expectations, and the portion sizes were disappointing. With so many amazing Italian spots nearby, it’s hard to recommend Assaggio.
Legna P — Google review
Group dinner at 6:30 so it's crowded, but we were able to get the long table on the second floor. The kitchen speed was good even during rush hour. Food came out fairly quickly once we ordered. The busboy mistakenly took away our utensils too early while we still had appetizers on the table. A few colleagues had the chicken parmesan which they said was very good. I had the Ossobuco, which came out in a pan, but presentation could be better. The meat was tender and falling off the bone. Good flavor.

Love this place! We went here with a party of 16 and the service was amazing. The filet and tuna was to die for! The manager was so kind and gave us shots on the house for a birthday in the group. 10/10 experience.

Great spot! It was the only place that was able to seat us right away. A great alternative to the usual places that have a two hour wait. Very friendly staff and delicious food. The eggplant appetizer was fantastic. I could have eaten as my meal. I got the meatball dinner, wife had ravioli and daughter had the gnocchi. All 3 excellent. Out of the 3 I would say the ravioli won our vote. Drinks were made well and tasty. The atmosphere downstairs could use a little upgrade. It felt like I tried to make a restaurant in my basement. But that was a minor thing. Service and food make up for that. Fully recommend! Thank you.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A True North End Gem with Unforgettable Hospitality We had an absolutely outstanding experience at Assaggio. From the moment we arrived, the manager made us feel incredibly welcomed and went above and beyond to accommodate us—setting us up with a beautiful table by the window. The food was exceptional—authentic, flavorful, and paired perfectly with a lovely bottle of red wine. But what really stood out was the service. After dinner, the manager personally checked in to make sure we enjoyed everything and asked about our evening plans. I mentioned that my fiancé, who's from Australia, hadn’t had much time to explore the North End yet. Without hesitation, the manager personally walked us down to a nearby rooftop bar, spoke to the bouncer, and made sure we were let in immediately. It truly felt like VIP treatment. This level of hospitality is rare, and it made the entire night memorable. Between the outstanding food, the warm ambiance, and the exceptional service, Assaggio has become a must-return spot for us. Highly recommend!

We ate here on a Friday night with our family. I can’t say enough about the food and the service! It was perfect! Paulo took such great care of us all night. Highly recommend this restaurant in the North End! The atmosphere was perfect. It was jam packed but they were able to get us seated downstairs. The manager was so kind. While we waited for 5-10 minutes for our table to open up, he placed an order for our baby to have food ready by the time we sit down. We have never experienced anything like this before. They were some of the most caring folks!

Time Out Market Boston, located in Fenway, is a spacious and trendy venue featuring 15 carefully selected eateries and bars spread across more than 25,000 square feet. The market offers a diverse range of cuisines, allowing visitors to indulge in dishes like crispy fish tacos, vegan chorizo quesadillas, spicy tuna maki rolls, and Persian pastries. Additionally, the market includes an on-site bar for those who prefer liquid desserts.
There were so many choices! Really cool outdoor seating, opportunities, and fruits from all over the world. This is definitely a must stop when you’re going to Fenway Park and you have a couple of days. Plenty of space for the whole family and a really good place to get a cocktail or a beer. Highly recommend!

(8/20/25) I like the way the interior of this place is designed. This was our first time visiting this food court. Nice atmosphere here. TONS of food options from many different food vendors offering a large variety of choices (Mediterranean, Mexican, classic American dishes, vegan, specialty drinks, desserts, Italian, etc). The food we tried was good. Not amazing but good. Will definitely return to give the other vendors a try. There is a public restroom here. I can’t really speak of parking options for this place because we stayed at a hotel literally 4 minutes walking distance from here (Residence Inn by Marriott). As an outdoor enthusiast, I was very excited to see the other end of this food court had direct indoor access to an REI outlet!!
Paul V — Google review
We got here just before some of the places started serving, so had 15 minutes to view what was on offer. Impressed by the market large, clean, stylish, and good variety of food options. I only gave 3 stars for atmosphere but sure this could be 5 in the evening. Not sure why all the food outlets didn't start serving.at the same time? This meant some of us ended eating at different times but no massive deal. If we had gone 15 minutes later it would have been fine. I went for chessey ramen with these pizza like open pot stickers. The ramen was good, and a decent portion. My only grip is that it had too much msg so I was tasting this all day. It came with fried chicken which was really good. Overall would I eat it again - yes washed down with a bottle of water. What was disappointing was the pizza like dumplings. Basically a dumpling wrapped smeared thinly with some meat paste and fried. They tasted of nothing! There were 4 of us and all had different meals and all good. I would recommend this place. If I lived in Boston, I would definitely go back to try some different types of food.

LOVE this place. Lots of dinning options - something for everyone. Reasonably priced, 5min walk to Fenway, been here several times now *one complaint - our last visit was on a Saturday after a Sox game, and the advertised 'hours' say Time-Out Market is open until 11pm, but 'technically' it's the building that's open until 11pm. All the restaurants began closing as we walked in at 940-945, and were essentially all closed by 10....we were able to eat, but barely. 5 more min and we would've been out of luck.

POE-LENTA RESTAURANT REVIEW: Poe-lenta at the Time Out Market in 401 Park is a place that really impressed me. The portions were exactly right, filling without being overwhelming, and the flavors came together beautifully. Every bite felt balanced and carefully prepared, turning a simple dish into something memorable. The service was outstanding. My food was ready within two minutes, which is incredibly fast, and the staff were genuinely kind and attentive. They even took the time to show me photos of the different meals before I ordered, which made the whole process much easier and more enjoyable. That kind of personal touch made the visit feel special. One thing to keep in mind is that they only accept card payments, no cash, but for me that was a small detail in an otherwise excellent experience. Overall Poe-lenta is absolutely worth trying if you are visiting Time Out Market or spending time around Fenway. Between the perfectly portioned dishes, the rich flavors, and the welcoming staff, it is the kind of spot you want to return to again and again.

Awesome concept. A bit cold on service. Love the upscale-ish feel of the food hall with many great options. it was early, so we hit the donut place (awesome, but uber rich). We also tried the vegan cafe for coffee - not quite as good, but OK. In both cases, service was cold - not unpleasant per se, but very much indifferent.

I usually enjoy coming to Timeout Market because of all the different choices, however today I had a truly terrible experience here. We went to the Mexican restaurant and ordered birria tacos, nachos, and elotes. First they were out of elotes, which has happened multiple times before and I should have just left when he said they were out. I don’t understand why their kitchen consistently has this same issue and does nothing to prevent it from happening again. Anyway, we got a few chips smothered in cheese and pico. The menu advertises guac, jalapeños, and other available toppings. When we came back to ask about the lack of toppings, we were told that they were out of that too and he “put extra cheese instead.” I don’t understand why I wasn’t told they were out of half of the ingredients for these $16 nachos, since I wouldn’t have wasted my money if I knew this. Then we started on the birria tacos (which were missing the broth) and on the first bite, we found a bone. The tacos were packed with meat, which sounds nice, but made the tacos fall apart and became disgusting by the end. I would have rather starved than go here if I knew this is what would happen. I should have asked for a refund, but we were simply dismissed when we had a complaint and told that we got extra of something else instead. I wish they would have been honest about what I was going to get before I wasted my money. Don’t go to this place if you don’t want to feel like shit for spending your money here.

We came for a Saturday drag brunch and it was so much fun!! The ambiance and decor in this place is absolutely stunning! The food was super fresh (from the ceviche to the chips, you can tell everything was made fresh) but could use a bit more flavor. Overall great experience. Would probably come back for the drag brunch experience but not just for the food.

We couldn’t get a reservation at our preferred time since it was a Saturday night, but it worked out just fine. The bar was full service and had a great vibe. The lighting and decor were beautiful, with warm tones and cherry blossoms that made the space feel magical. It was the perfect setting for a cozy date night. The tacos were amazing. The fish tacos were our favorite — super fresh, warm, and packed with flavor. The ground beef tacos (gordita crunch style) were a close second. The duck tacos were just okay in comparison. The drinks were excellent. I started with the mango cucumber margarita (because tequila is cheaper than therapy, right?) and really liked it. My partner had the espresso martini and loved it. For our second round, I had the "Beautiful Liar" with prickly pear, tequila, elderflower, orange blossom, and black lava salt. My partner went for the "Garden of Eva" with mezcal, watermelon, and basil. Both were nice, but we still preferred our first choices. Overall, it was a fantastic date night with great food, drinks, and ambiance. We’ll definitely be coming back.

All in all a positive experience. Only complaints I have is they initially forgot the beef on the taco salad we asked for, our food came out at different times and I felt bad my step daughter had to wait another 5 minutes for her food…and then the restaurant called me saying I didn’t pay, all because they didn’t look under the check where the $100 that included a 25% tip. But the food was good, nothing special and the atmosphere was beautiful.

Sunday brunch for this spot, for a chill, great scenery, great vibes with all the right songs, tequila & tacos! I got to go during brunch times, the waitress checked off the vibe check! Was able to help me out exactly with what I wanted! I told her what I was feeling and she reassured that what I wanted was THE items in the menu! I could have ordered TWO orders of the pancakes! But probably would have had to be carried out! Do yourself a favor & grab the Cornbread Pancakes has is (if you like everything there) TRUST ME ! With the tater tots make sure to cut the egg over it before trying so it’s not as dry!

Food was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful. We were sat next to the kitchen and were unable to chat much due to the noise, but our server placed us at another table which was great. I order my food without an ingredient as I did not like the taste of it, and 1/2 of my meal was made properly and the other half had the ingredient I requested not be included. Overall the food and drinks were delicious and at a great price and the service was great, I would just recommend double checking your food if you have dietary restrictions. Additionally, this is a beautiful restaurant location with a pretty interior if you are looking for a pretty place to have a meal.

Cocktail bar
Bar
Backbar is a trendy and laid-back haunt located in Somerville's Union Square. Tucked away behind Field & Vine, this speakeasy offers a casual atmosphere with street art-adorned walls and kitschy decorations. The bar serves up creative cocktails like the Golden Eagle, made with tequila, mezcal, orange, lime, and cinnamon.
Best Cocktail Lineup I’ve seen in Greater Boston. Dropped by on a weekday around 8pm. Place was packed, with all bar seats and high tops taken, but thankfully no wait. The vibes were classic Somerville speakeasy: slightly dorky decor, low-key servers, and an unpretentious atmosphere that keeps things fun and approachable. Every cocktail here was $17 flat, no matter the customization, and nothing tasted like filler. We tried six, and all had a clear point of view. Only miss was the Fiji Mermaid (bonito flake infusion was…a choice), but everything else ranged from impressive to absolutely memorable. Two of our favorites were Nang Tani and Banana Bread Flip. The former had a miso-forward start that faded into coconut-banana sweetness. A surprisingly elegant balance of sweet and umami. We then asked our server for something in the same lane, and he came up with this custom creation inspired by banana bread and salty walnuts. It had a bit of baking soda sharpness at first, but it mellowed into a smooth, nostalgic sweetness. We also tried the Dragons Love Apple Pie, Kappa, and The Banshee. For the first one, our server came over with a blowtorch and an oakwood plate, smoking the glass tableside. The result was a lingering smokiness that layered beautifully over the spiced apple notes. The Banshee combined mushroom and berry, though it leaned more into the berry side (thankfully). It had just enough earthy depth without veering into full-on forest floor. Kappa was essentially a frozen melon cocktail with the faintest whisper of cucumber—bright, refreshing, and super clean. Just note that they don’t take reservations unless you’re doing one of their cocktail classes, and I’ve heard the wait on weekends can get long. But honestly, if you’re looking for the best cocktails in the GBA, it’s worth the wait.

Backbar is my absolute favorite craft cocktail spot in the Boston area. We come here about once a month - and I love that the cocktail menu changes frequently, with fun, creative themes. The service is always fantastic and the drinks are incredible. The atmosphere is fun and lively, lots of geeky little details and decorations. It does get pretty busy even on school nights, and they don’t take reservations so there have been times when the wait has been too long for us to stick around. (Photos are from multiple different visits with different menus)

Overall it’s a good cocktail bar, definitely far from the top tier bars but the cocktails were pretty good - a borderline 5 star experience all in all. The waiting time on a Friday night was reasonable - around 15 mins. The atmosphere and interior were not as breathtaking in my opinion. It felt like it was designed 20 years ago. The staff were reasonably friendly and welcoming. The ID is a must to enter. Fruits of My Labour cocktail was good - even though it reads light it still had a good amount of alcohol. The flavour wasn’t super sophisticated and cinnamon probably dominated but still there was a bit of interesting flavour next to it. Nothing mind blowing but nice. The Lips of an Angel was also nice but maybe slightly less interesting - the orange flavour dominated but still a good one. Aquarium jazz was a seasonal cocktail and probably it was the best one I’ve tried that evening and a really great smoked whiskey base with some stuff on top to balance. Funeral was not as good - the anise flavour and the absinthe dominated it and it did not match my taste at all. Fortunately it was the only disappointment during the night. They don’t have a lot of food options, mainly a few snacks. The nuts were actually walnuts but the walnut taste was not as prominent (a good thing for me) as the nuts were covered in syrup or something like that. Good overall but I wouldn’t try them again as they interfered with cocktail flavour because of some leftover wax-like film in my mouth. I can recommend this spot if you are not able to book any top notch bars in Boston which require bookings in advance. They also include mandatory 20% tip into the bill.

Such a unique and fun atmosphere for the nerds. The drinks were fun and unique, I came during chartreuse week and loved the drinks on the menu. Look at Dalek joining us! Not much food options only snacks. Don’t come hungry.

Incredible place. There was a bit of a line as the place is limited in seating space but it was worth the wait. We had a blast, specially trusting the bartenders with making us drinks based on flavors we like. Every drink was 100% creativity and offmenu and delicious everything. Will come back every time Im in Boston.
Santi L — Google review
We were in Boston for a few days and wanted to go to a speakeasy bar. We asked bartender just to make us a drink and told them ingredients and flavor we like and O.M.G it was spot on! So so good! If you are looking for different cocktails go here, you wont be disappointed! Atmosphere is fun.
Natalia K — Google review
Drinks were okay, some were good and others were average. Menu gets updated often which is nice. However - I must give 0 star to the service. First of all, very strange attitude of the bartender and the manager. The bartender was not even competent of having a normal conversation with customers. He gave attitude for no reason, cut my friend off, and called his manager immediately during a normall conversation. Is he on something??????? The manager was also overly protective of the bartender which we really expected him to be objective. There was no conversation between the bartender and the manager so we had to spend time explaining why he was called, but he did not handle the situation well enough either. Additionally, they forced to charge 20% tip on all drinks.
Nora Z — Google review
Drinks are good, rotating selection and creative. Management and servers need to be better trained in hospitality. You can not be arrogant and dismissive of your clients just because you’re a popular bar. I’d love to have a great bar to recommend in Boston, and this place has potential as long as they fix their customer service.

Distillery
Food & Drink
Bar
Boston Harbor Distillery is a historic 19th-century waterfront warehouse that has been transformed into a distillery crafting American-style spirits. Founded by Rhonda Kallman, co-founder of Samuel Adams, the distillery's building has a rich history and was previously used for various purposes. Many of the spirits produced here are named after past occupants of the building.
The distillery tour was fabulous. Our tour guide Jenna did an excellent job and was very informative on the distilling process and the local history. You get to taste about 20+ spirits or pre-made cocktails in a cool old industrial building on the far south Boston waterfront. But you definitely can't drive to the tour cause you will not be legal when the tour ends!
David B — Google review
As soon as you take a few steps into the distillery, close your eyes for a moment. Breathe in the warm scent of wood, layered with the rich aroma of fine whiskey and a hint of Atlantic breeze. Trust us—this is just the beginning. This place is a genius loci on the Boston map, where history mingles with ocean and the unmistakable energy of Rhonda Kallman, the founder. Every sip, every detail of the space, reflects her passion and vision. Our signature selections: * American Single Malt * Maple Cream * Old Fashioned on Demon Seed Switch off the time, step outside between tastings and take in the breathtaking view of Boston by day and by night :) Just one visit—and one conversation with Rhonda will leave you with stories you’ll want to share again and again.

Great place to spend an afternoon! The tour is fun if you don’t mind drinking straight spirits, otherwise I’d stick to the cocktail bar! There’s lots of indoor space or a small outdoor standing room patio.

Great whiskys and cocktails in a beautifully restored old mill building on the waterfront. It's also a great place to see a band. They have a long lineup of shows coming up, so go support your local distillery.

This review is mostly for Jeff, the event planner. He was extremely kind to my guests and I through the entirety of our wedding planning. He immediately answered every teeny, tiny question that popped into my head. He was very flexible with his schedule which was helpful since we lived far and had a constrained timeline. The venue itself is a natural beauty. It was an easy place for us to choose as our wedding venue. The drinks itself were incredible. Our guests had a wide range to choose from. Definitely consider BHD for any event!

We registered for a VIP tour as part of my wedding registry and someone actually got it for us! WOW did this tour deliver. Definitely take some water with you because you get 13 tastings but you’re going to want to hear and remember every fact that they tell you! Our tour guide was Sal and our ‘pourer’ was Christian and both were excellent and incredibly helpful and knowledgeable! We tried everything and they answered every question we had and then some. Wonderful people! They deserve a raise, honestly. Cera was our server/bartender after the tour and she was beyond fabulous. Our cocktails and snacks were incredible and she was very attentive and nice and overall very good at recommending drinks and bottles to buy. I can’t wait to go back here! Highly recommend the VIP tour or the basic tour if the VIP is more than you’re looking for. Incredible experience during the tour and after! Will be back here for drinks with friends!

Trina's Starlite Lounge is a hip and retro spot in Somerville, just north of Boston, offering American comfort food and unique cocktails. The ambiance is effortlessly cool with dim lighting, vintage decor, and a touch of kitsch. This dive bar serves up southern-inspired comfort food like chicken & waffles and cornbread alongside thoughtful cocktails such as the Shaddock and Green Goblin. On Sundays and Mondays, they offer an affordable brunch featuring specialty sandwiches and large plates.
Perfect food, staff, drinks, atmosphere, vibe- perfect everything. One of the rare places in Boston where you feel fully comfortable and like you can enjoy yourself. That they now offer a HOT DOG TOWER truly raises them above 5/5 stars. Their staff is always so kind and easy to talk with- highly recommend!

What a great surprise!! From the outside not much to look at-inside, a busy crowded restaurant and bar. A fancy-dive bar with a diner feel. We had a great time, service was great and the French fries are to die for!!! The chick Caesar sandwich was super tasty. We will be back.

Amazing food. It looks like a place you scurry by quickly on the road, but once you’re inside it is a whole new experience. We had the corn dog, tater tots, Mac & Cheese, and corn bread and they were great. Food brought past us to other tables (hot dog tower, sloppy joes) smelled just as good.

I’ve been here several times and I always enjoy myself. My personal favorites are the Starlite-Style Dog, Fried Chicken, and the Rockin’ Chair cocktail served cold. If you do have a choice on seating and it’s not boiling or freezing outside, the patio/outdoor seating is the place to be. Came back for brunch and it was delicious. Would recommend the blueberry and cheesecake pop-tart!

Trina's was amazing! Our daughter and her fiancé decided on a last minute elopement, and a small dinner at Trina's Starlite Lounge after the wedding. The management and staff were so accommodating and wonderful with us! The food was delicious and the whole evening was wonderful. 5 Stars all around!

Trina's is one of the best places in the world! No matter how much time has passed and no matter who is working it feels like walking into a warm hug in bar form. Food is delicious, drinks are perfect and the service is obviously a 10/10. Monday brunch is a treasure

All the food was good, had the fried chicken and it was delicious. Great selection of specialty hot dogs. The real stars were the sweet dishes: the cornbread with honey butter and the hush puppies with maple butter dipping sauce. Very sweet yet savory and indulgent. Some of the best southern style food I've had in Boston.

Mediterranean restaurant
Fast food restaurant
Lebanese restaurant
Aceituna Grill is a casual Mediterranean and Lebanese restaurant located in the Back Bay area. It offers a variety of dishes such as falafel, hummus, shawarma, kababs, and pita roll-ups. The restaurant has a clean and simple decor with counter service. Customers can customize their meals by choosing a base, protein, and sides. The place is kid-friendly and provides a relaxed dining experience.
The amazing food at this place has led me to write my first review on Google Maps so that I can share the happiness Aceituna has provided me with. The only place in Boston that serves authentic Lebanese fried cauliflower!! I’ve been missing this so much and Aceituna Grill made my day. I’ve had fried cauliflower at other places but none were as good or authentic. I’ve seen many people describe them in their reviews as “soggy” or “too burnt,” but trust me, this is how they’re supposed to be. Lebanese arnabit (cauliflower) isn’t battered and isn’t supposed to be half-fried where it barely has any color and is still crunchy. It’s supposed to have that brown/caramel color because it adds depth of flavor to the cauliflower. But if what you’re looking for is raw white cauliflower I’m sure there are many places around Boston that can provide that. But Aceituna Grill are providing authenticity and they took me back to my childhood in Beirut asking my mother for an arnabit sandwich. They definitely have a returning loyal customer in me! 🥙🧆🌯🥗🧄

Bland meat, soggy cauliflower, tough pita. Overall pretty meh. Edit: after eating a bit more of the meal, I've decided I like it even less! 3->2 stars. Pretty bad food.

This Mediterranean restaurant near MIT is a true gem! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and 100% Halal, which is a huge plus for anyone looking for high-quality options in the area. From juicy grilled meats to fresh salads and warm pita, every dish is satisfying and made with care. The location is super convenient for MIT students and staff, and the atmosphere is casual and welcoming—perfect for a quick lunch.
Shahabeddin M — Google review
Great location in Kindle square, MIT and Charles River are walking distance. Nice decoration with colorful walls. After I saw the server shaving the Shawarma from the rotating vertical spit, I was excited to try! I tried both the chicken and mixed beef and lamb, it was kind of disappointing as it was too dry with no flavor of unique seasoning. I might be biased in my review as someone who knows the authentic taste of real Shawarma(see my review for Mike Calzone in Province and Alshami in Paterson) but overall if you are in the area and in the mood for “Shawarma” Acetina will be a good choice in comparison with other Cambridge’s Shawarma.
Mustafa N — Google review
Average Mediterranean fast food place. Got the beef & lamb rice plate with moussaka and fried cauliflower. Both beef and lamb were too dry and it would've been impossible to eat them without moussaka on the side. The sides on the other hand were great compared to the meats.
Jea K — Google review
Informal and you order at the counter. I enjoyed the approach of picking rice, wrap or salad, then the protein and then two sides. I got lamb and beef shawarma, on the Mediterranean rice, with tabbouli and hommous. They have a selection of sauces available. They place was quiet on a Saturday night but the staff was friendly and attentive. Would come back again.

Such an excellent lunch spot (though be warned the portions are large, I can go the rest of the day without eating). But seriously, great spot in Kendall Sq that usually has lines out the door on the weekday lunch crowd. I am religious on getting the spicy chicken shawarma rice plate (rice pilaf). The hummus is super authentic and I usually get the tabbouleh or the fattoush. I wish the fattoush was a bit more crunchy / crispy but still great. The best part of this place though, is there sauces. I can’t just choose one I go all in on the tahini, the house special pink spicy sauce, and their garlic sauce which you can usually just douse on top. Great place for Middle Eastern cuisine and fast! Brick & Mortar is a hidden gem located above Central Kitchen in Cambridge, offering an impressive array of creative drinks crafted by skilled mixologists. The sleek and modern space exudes a speakeasy vibe, making it one of the coolest places to enjoy a drink in the area. The small but well-curated cocktail menu complements the dark and stylish ambiance, creating an inviting loft party atmosphere.
Extremely cozy ambiance in your classic dark lighting interior with lots of exposed brickwork and music playing at just the right volume. Service was excellent and two of my party enjoyed a couple of very well made cocktails but on this visit I opted for a can of beer . Prices were about right for the quality of the cocktails but a little steep for a can of beer . Would definitely visit again when I have more time to stay later and get a little more relaxed.
Scouser1965 — Google review
I had heard good things about Brick and Mortar, and now I know why! The drinks were delicious as was the food. I'd definitely come back. I got the pussycat drink ($17) which was delightfully sweet and fruity. The anchovy toast ($13) had a really nice green butter on the bread, and a perfect mix of olives, peppers, and anchovy -- a really nice combo. I also really liked the "pizza" ($16) which had a lot of perfectly tangy-seasoned arugula, prosciutto, some cheese, and crispy chewy bread. The deviled eggs ($11) also had a nice horseradish kick to them, and the bacon wrapped dates ($11) were also good, but I liked the anchovy toast and pizza better. I'd absolutely come back!

Brick & Mortar offer all the ingredients for a great date night. The drinks were fantastic and the lighting was romantic. Just know that there aren't a ton of food options, but personally that did not bother me. I would say that this would be a great place to start or end your night.

Had an amazing time tonight, I am so happy my friend recommended us visiting this establishment. The atmosphere was welcoming, the music choices were spot on and I cannot emphasize my appreciation for the staff. Our server Nicholas (also a bartender) made our time at brick and mortar so special and was extremely attentive. In my humble opinion he not only deserves the world but also recognition (don’t know how much he is being paid but double it and everyone should tip him please) for his ability to make the night special and fun. The potato chips were delicious and crunchy. The Mexican radio had me hooked, and was extremely smooth. Would come again, and recommend it to others!

Such a cool spot. It's a speakeasy and I just found out the old Chef from Nosh & Grog in Canton is here now Chef Daniel and I can't wait for his creativity and delicious food to come out. Definitely making this my new spot. Great atmosphere, great food (small plates) and awesome drinks.
Jax C — Google review
Brick and Mortar is a fantastic speakeasy tucked away in Central Square—so hidden, I almost didn’t find it the first time, which honestly just added to the charm. I used to spend more time in the area, but even now that I’m there less often, I think it’s worth making the trip back just for this place. The vibe is fun and low-key, and it’s one of those spots that really sticks with you. Definitely a hidden gem worth checking out.
Shahnawaz S — Google review
What a cool place! Not quite a speakeasy, but definitely gives off that "secret spot" vibe. The "community seating" encourages guests to strike up a conversation with their neighbors and get to know someone new, but the dark, intimate atmosphere gives you equal freedom to imagine you have the whole place to yourself. It is a subtle triumph of interior design to make a small crowded space feel both private and shared at the same time. The sweeping, solid copper bar is beautiful on its own, but there are lots of nooks and small, artistic touches that create an overall mysterious, romantic ambiance that we loved. It would be sad if a place as well-designed as this didn't have an equally brilliant menu, but Brick & Mortar does NOT disappoint! Inventive, complex cocktails evolve in the glass. This is a great place for an aspiring mixologist (like myself) to come for inspiration, and to spend time trying to deconstruct the alchemy of the experience. The staff is also top notch. We came on a Thursday evening to have a cocktail before heading down the street to Asmara for an Eritrean feast (also highly recommended). It was so good, we decided to come back later the same night for a night cap. Not only did the staff remember us and welcome us back, but when we moved from the wall where we were standing and waiting for a seat to the bar, the bartender already knew who we were and which drinks we'd ordered. It's maybe a little thing, but I appreciate knowing there's a team of people working together, communicating to create a pleasant experience for their guests. This is the kind of place that makes people like me fantasize about opening up my own bar someday. 😎 They create a wonderful experience and make it seem effortless. Highly recommended!!!

Dorchester Brewing Company, established in 2016, is Boston's largest neighborhood craft brewery and the city's only state-of-the-art contract brewery. It offers a wide range of housemade beers on its 20 draft lines and provides facilities for outside craft brewers to produce their own beers. The brewery features a rooftop beer garden, a game room, and hosts various events in its taproom.
This place was great! Came here with family while visiting Boston. They are also dog friendly so we were able to sit outside on a beautiful day and enjoy our delicious beers and great BBQ. The food was excellent and so was the service. We got wings that were perfectly crispy. Pulled brisket, pulled pork loaded fries. Everything was so good. I really loved their honey mustard. Our puppy even got a free rib and a bandana. We had a great time. Can't wait to come back and have more brew and BBQ.

Had a great time at Dorchester Brewing. Lots of brews. I only had time to try 3. All were great. Had a sample of the Spa Day seltzer and left with a 4-pack. The BBQ chicken sandwich at M&M BBQ was fab, they share the same space. Arcade games, An old time cigarette machine with candy cigarettes was a hit. It was a dreary day, so didn't sit on the rooftop seating area, but heard great things and saw great pics from my sisters trip there. Definitely will be back to try their house cocktails.

Place is awesome! I went on a Tuesday, so it was pretty chill - I don’t like really loud places. The beers were good and very high quality. And the bratwurst? OMG. Unreal. Lots of space, and I guess they do private events if you want to. Cool rooftop area, games, plenty of seating (especially upstairs) and some neat merchandise as well. Some cool artwork on the walls, nice big clean bathrooms, and cool music. I bought a pint glass for my cross-country collection. They’re gay friendly apparently because of the owner, but it’s not overly themed as such. I’d say everyone is welcome! If I’m in the area again, I’d very much like to revisit. Recommended!

Oh my god, was this place AMAZING!! As a queer person, this place made me feel so seen and heard. I personally love that there are nice places like this one that allow queer people to have a space to be themselves. The drinks were incredible, and the staff was somehow even better. I had to snag one of their shirts as well, just look at this art!! Speaking of art, their museum of bad art is hilarious and worth a trip to Dorchester Brewing Company even if you don't drink.

We hosted our wedding welcome party in the hopservatory space, and it was amazing! We are locals to the brewery and really enjoyed showing off how cool this space is and how great the drinks and food are! We easily accommodated a large group, and had an easy time planning the catering with M&M BBQ. The beers, food, and fun cocktails were all a hit, as was the awesome space! The staff is always helpful, friendly, and fun, but they really went all out and made the night even more special! Highly recommend and will be looking for another excuse to host a party here in the future!

Source Restaurants is a popular spot in Harvard Square known for its wood-fired pizzas and light fare. The restaurant boasts an industrial-style dining room and a bar, creating a trendy atmosphere for diners. What sets Source apart is their use of sourdough starter named "Mother" to create a lighter-than-air crust for their pizzas, making it the perfect base for an array of delicious toppings.
The Source is located near the American Repertory Theater & perfect for a preshow meal. The pizzas are delicious as are the pastas and salads. The drinks are creative. The ambiance is hipster casual and the staff is friendly and helpful. It can get quite busy on the weekend so make a reservation if you plan to dine here, especially after Cynthia Erivo just dined here!

We came here on a cold and rainy night. The meal was overall pretty nice. The appetizers were decent. The chicken parm sandwich was interesting and tasted good. The garlic knot bun did come a bit burnt, however, and was too hard to eat with the chicken cutlet. The meal also came with a steak knife, so it was clearly meant to be possibly eaten without the bun. It just felt that the bun was unnecessary and made it too hard to eat. The ravioli was very creamy and had a nice truffle flavor. The pizzas were very good, especially the pepperoni. It was sweet, rich, and coated with tons of pepperoni. The margarita pizza was good. What was a bit confusing was this restaurants two ‘different’ crusts. They charge different prices for what they consider 1) Neapolitan and 2) New York. When we ordered, the waiter advertised ‘upgrading’ to a New York style, and said that the Neapolitan would have to be eaten with a fork and knife for how thin it is, and that the New York style could be eaten normally. This was bizarre, advertising the New York option as ‘paying to be able to eat your pizza normally.’ After ordering both styles we were more confused, because when we got the pizzas, the crust had absolutely no difference, and didn’t seem to be either New York style or Neapolitan (for both pizzas). It was altogether very misleading. The staff here were friendly though, and the atmosphere was nice. It was very dark, and a bit hard to read the menus however. There were no hooks to hold jackets which was a little annoying. The food came out so fast, with the whole meal for 5 people coming out within 10 minutes- the fastest at any restaurant I’ve ever been to. I wish that the tables were wider, the high top we sat at was incredibly cramped for five people and the plates and pizza could barely fit on the table. Overall the quality of the food was really good, but there are a few things that could be improved.

The Source Restaurant is a western cuisine restaurant located in the heart of Harvard Square serving a wide range of dishes, but specializing in Neapolitan pizza. The ambiance is lit dimly, perfect for more intimate dinners such as date nights or celebrations. Highly recommend reservations, especially on the weekend. The service was great. The staff came over, answered any questions about the menu as well as presenting the food quickly and on time. We got a build your own pizza, which contained hot honey, pepperoni, and cheese. We also got a mocktail (guava no jito) as well as a salad. The salad was made well, with a light drizzle of dressing on it that didn't overwhelm the salad. The rest of the ingredients on the salad also worked well together with it. The mocktail was sweet, not too sour but blended well the flavors together. The pizza was a highlight. A bit smaller than we expected, but had a great flavor and cooked perfectly. One downside was that the cheese/toppings fell off a bit too easily on the pizza, making it hard to eat by just picking up.

Source is one of, if not, my favorite restaurant in Cambridge! The food is phenomenal - I highly recommend the Brussel sprouts and pepperoni pizza. The staff is knowledgeable and extremely kind. I highly recommend this restaurant for date night, night out with the girls or any special occasion!! I will keep coming back!

Their prices don’t match the food quality. We order a pasta dish and the portion was very small, not even in Italy portions are that small, so don’t order the pasta if you are really hungry. We also order a pizza which was very soggy. I wanted to order a burger but didn’t because they don’t sell fries to go with it. Also, service was very slow and food took forever, not sure if they were short staffed that particular night or what happened. Keep in mind that you need to have a reservation if you want to be seated inside, or at least that’s what they told us. That was my first visit to this restaurant but I will not be coming back, there are too many and better options near by. My daughter and her Harvard class mates that were with us having dinner were also equally disappointed. I have to say the place inside looked very cozy and nicely decorated but we didn’t have a reservation so we were seated outside and it was a cold night and they don’t have outdoor heaters. We saw people with blankets when we were leaving, but they were not offered to us.

We booked Source for our wedding rehearsal dinner, hosting ~50 guests. The management and staff at Source were tremendous in helping us plan food & drink menus and ensuring that everything ran smoothly the night of the event. They were very accommodating for guests with food allergies, offering customized meals in addition to the buffet options. The food and drinks were amazing, the staff was friendly, and all of our guests had a wonderful time. The pepperoni pizza is our personal favorite, and our guests loved the cookies! We would highly recommend Source for private events, in addition to their standard dining options.

We went for their 3 course dinner for Me & You Mondays after I came across a tiktok and thought not bad for $26. It’s something relatively new that they started according to the server. I’ll talk about the food before I get to the service…. My boyfriend and I split our 3 courses. Course 1: Whipped ricotta (10/10) Chopped Salad (9/10). Loved both! The whipped ricotta is a must. The bread is fresh and the fig&honey with the ricotta is just scrumptious. Course 2: Margherita pizza (6/10) and Tagliatelle Primavera (9/10). The tagliatelle is spicy which our server warned us when asked and she was definitely right. If you like a kick to your pasta, this was very good. Not a super big portion but would get it again. The pizza on the other hand I was extremely disappointed by especially hearing from people that their pizza is good. It tasted like it was tomato paste on the pizza… wouldn’t recommend. Course 3: Mango passion fruit cheesecake (6/10) and Tiramisu (2/10). The desserts are definitely not a highlight. I’ve had a good amount of tiramisu in my life and this ranks quite low on the list considering it tasted like just cream. The cheesecake was alright especially compared to the tiramisu. The food overall, 8/10. Lost points due to the lack luster dessert. If I were to come again, I don’t think I would do the courses as I could get an appetizer and entree for a similar price since the dessert was not worth it. What disappointed me the most was the service. It was a busy day and I think they weren’t prepared for the crowd that this promotion would give them (considering it’s fairly new). When we got seated outside (didn’t make a reservation), we didn’t get water until 10 minutes in. Our appetizers took a “normal” amount of time to get to us, as did the mains. However after we finished our main course, we asked for a water refill and didn’t get one for 30 minutes! We didn’t even see our waiter for a good duration of time to ask her. It also took our dessert 30 minutes to come out too (after they cleared our plates) which is a bit absurd of time considering the dessert was probably prepared ahead of time. I eventually had to ask another waiter to get our water that was just a jug outside (I could have gotten up and filled it myself…) I had to go inside and ask our server for the check just to ensure we weren’t waiting another 20 minutes. It was pretty cold and they didn’t have heat lamps, only a few blankets that were all used up. Our server informed at the end that they were short staffed which I totally understand, it just would have been nice to know that at the beginning. Know that 20% gratuity is automatically added due to it being prefix. After course 1, we said we would want to come back especially if they rotate the prefix menu but after the service given, I’m not so sure about that. Just be prepared to eat for 20 minutes and be waiting for an hour.
Jessica S — Google review
The food and service were very good, above average for this type of venue, overall. On the other hand once I had finished my meal I had to wait for what seemed like an awfully long time! It’s nice not to bev rushed of course but the endless wait did annoy me. Otherwise I recommend the place and will probably come back at some point.

Blake's Kitchen + Bar is a hidden gem that offers a delightful escape, especially for those waiting for their train back to Maine. With its inviting atmosphere, it provides the perfect respite from the heat on a sunny day. The attentive service stands out, with bartenders like Leo crafting superb drinks and offering excellent food recommendations. Guests rave about the delicious truffle fries and honey mustard chicken sandwich, which may be messy but are undeniably tasty.
Went here for lunch while waiting for my train. Got the truffle fries and the garlic mayo was bussin. And my friend got the Honey mustard sandwich on recommendation from the very kind bartender and she gave it a 5/5. I decided to try the Figin delish as a mocktail and it was SO GOOD!!! It has a sweet warm taste from the fig. I can't express how nice the barkeep was. He explained what cocktails would make the best mocktails and what would mix best with the syrup (I got it mixed with sprite) I'm sure with alcohol the balance would be immaculate. Its decently priced for a hotel restraunt right outside the train station in Boston.

Breakfast is B minus; dinner seems better although we only had one dish. Breakfast Cappuccino: the cheap kind you’d get in a vending machine. Omelette: decent but the home fries were tasteless. Yogurt and Granola: very basic. The side of fruit was mainly filler fruit. Service was very good both times we visited. Overall a classic 3.5-4 with potential for a five if the menu can be changed.

This place is amazing! I don't have too much expectations for places so close to the Garden, but I will for sure be coming back here. The service is wonderful and attentive-- ask for Leo at the bar! He makes superb drinks!! And the food we ate was delicious! The chicken (boneless wings) have a nice crisp on the outside and are very tender on the inside. And I also have to recommend the meatballs as well! The vibe inside is modern/comfortable. Great for any occasion in my opinion whether its a date night before an event at the Garden or just passing through with friends from North Station on to your next destination.

We popped in for breakfast. This place is extremely charming. Tyler, food and atmosphere were delightful. Came back another day for lunch, food again perfect. Joe is the epitome of a great bartender. Thank you friends.

Food was good with a decent selection. Steak salad had perfectly cooked steak and was well dressed but had greens and red peppers and that's it definitely lacking some great options on the veggie side. Fries were delicious and the BLAT was great too with the avocado mashed instead of whole and falling out. Service was a bit slow but there was a concert at TD garden and it was packed. Everyone was very friendly.

Can you believe this is what I got for my $18 appetizer of buffalo wings???? 5 wings. Is this a joke??? I will never be back. What a joke. Overpriced for frozen grocery store wings and sauce. If this is any indication of the hotel you already know.

Great stop before a show at the garden. Walking distance. Brian was a phenomenal server. The owner greeted us and was also great to talk to. Food and drinks were both fantastic. Had the chicken quesadilla with truffle fries. Highly recommend.

Needed to find a place to sit and wait for our train back to Maine. We were the only people there for most of the wait and the bartender/server was absolutely wonderful. We got truffle fries, which were delicious, a fig mocktail, which was delicious, and a honey mustard chicken sandwich, which, although messy, was so good. Can't express how good the service was, and the atmosphere was a good reprieve from the sun on a hot day- glad he didn't mind us sticking around for a while! :)

While it's not a Japanese restaurant, the culinary offerings include decadent favorites like Cheeseburgers, Okonomiyaki Tater Tots, and Karaage Chicken Sandwiches.
Top tier establishment! The food is excellent as well as the cocktails. The sushi offerings are fresh and flavorful and offer a variety of textures and experiences. Simon made us some excellent cocktails based on our preferences and we were not disappointed. When I didn't see something on the menu speak to me I was able to describe what I was looking for and he made me an excellent drink. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a drink and/or bite (and the atmosphere is awesome)!

I actually don't remember much because we came here and just took drinks and shots to the face really quickly. But I remember how this place made me feel, and it was great, lmao. Really cute, spooky atmosphere. I'm pretty sure we did karaoke too but it was a blurry night. 10/10 would come back, really fun!

If you're looking for a " dive bar " / speakeasy vibe, open late, this was an awesome experience. Great drinks -the bartenders were telling us about their training and experiences and wow - the tiki style drinks are a true craft! B(Ryan) and Kyle made this an awesome night in Boston! We're coming back!

This is my regular date spot, been here too many times to count and tried basically everything, but these are the best items that we always order: Shore Leave Burger + Add Cheese Shiitake Tempura Roll Pineapple Bread Pudding A couple Red Stripe Beers and you have yourself a fantastic night! I have yet to find another restaurant that comes close to doing these dishes this well ! Me and my Bf share and it fills us up, but if we’re extra hungry we get the Wagyu Crab Claypot. They also go ALL OUT for halloween and christmas decorations.

Great speakeasy style Tiki Bar in a basement. Really pretty lighting and decor. High quality drinks, including a good selection of mocktails. Big selection of sushi and some misc Asia fusion food.
Emma ( — Google review
While the drinks and atmosphere were a standout, the food was a bit underwhelming. The Asian fusion dishes were solid but lacked the wow factor that would make them truly memorable. While it's a great place to grab a drink and enjoy the atmosphere, diners seeking exceptional cuisine might want to explore other options.
Saul H — Google review
Cocktails get 5 stars, food is a 4.5. The menu is pretty limited for people who are vegetarian. If you’re hungry, get the sandwiches like a burger and the chicken sandwich. Here’s the beak down: - Tater tots are great and a successful fusion - Wagyu skewers are good, very small - Veggie sushi was good - Crab Rangoon was standard - Dan Dan noodles were good, but it’s a COLD noodle. Beware - Hamburger and chicken sandwiches were great

The staff is attentive and friendly. We had a few minutes of waiting while our waitress did other things but another staff member was happy to pick up the slack! The food was incredible. Went for lunch had reservation for around 12 people. Ordered a vegetable sandwich with avocado and dirty fries. Initially had hair in the burger so they got me a replacement and meanwhile they got me a salad since it would take little longer to get my burger ready. That was a very generous service. Got an immunity boost drink. Not at all good it was little sour. Had turmeric in it. I was hoping it to be healthy as well as tasty but was just healthy.. overall a good experience but I’ve had better burgers, but the vibe is nice. We sat indoors outdoors with lightning and it was a nice. Highly recommend to reserve if going in large groups.

A great spot for dinner before events at Fenway! We were able to get right in and enjoyed sitting on their back patio. The katsu chicken sandwich, burger, and the fig and Brie sandwich were all excellent and large portions. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly. I’d definitely love to come back!

Audubon is a super chill and mellow bar with great bar food and drink selection. I had an Oktoberfest beer and 'A sure thing' mixed cocktail, which were both great, especially the cocktail which left me tipsy a few sips in 🥴. For food, I ordered the grilled cheese dip, roasted beets and churros (secret menu item lol because no desserts are listed). All of which were awesome, my favorite being the roasted beets. It wasn't very busy (Thursday night), so the bartender was very attentive and it wasn't too loud.

This place is a little hidden gem. We sat out on the back patio, which was a great spot. Jack was our server and was awesome, so personable and on top of it. The food was amazing. We started with the wontons and were blown away with how good they were. I had the Katsu Chicken sandwich which was fantastic, nice and crispy and all the flavors complimented each other. My wife had the Warm Farro Bowl with chicken and raved about it. I highly recommend this place.

Came in for a quick bite on a walking day around town. The tall slender handsome bar tender waited on us was fantastic! He was attentive to several tables, informed about allergies and menu ingredients, and was super helpful recommending places to visit around town. The food offerings were great, not expansive but fine tuned. The beverage list looked yummy and unique, as well as the fusion of flavors. We’d love to come back and try dinner menu and catch the vibes again.

Really nice spot. I’ve come in to watch the F1 and there’s been a nice vibe, and also had drinks on a late night and like how low lit it was. Only reason for 4 stars is I ordered a spicy margarita and it was so spicy it was unbearable (and the other 6 people I was with found it unpleasantly spicy). But food was great and every other drink I’ve had had been good!

Classic restaurant. Got the clam chowder, it wasn't the best I've ever had but it was OK. For main meals got steak tip dinner and a portobello sandwich. The flavor was OK, a bit underseasoned so it just fell flat a little. Food seemed very fresh, all homemade from scratch and cooked perfectly. Portions were huge, prices are a bit steep! Got in without reservations, you have to enter through the Drunken Clam. Wait staff was very polite and did a really good job. Overall I would go again.

Decent cocktail menu, pub feel with a nice restaurant edge too, meatballs app great, fish and chips great with crispy batter. Good pre-game bar.

Stepping into West End Johnny’s during the Family Guy pop‑up is like being transported straight to Quahog’s fabled Drunken Clam think glowing neon signs, red booth seating, and immersive sets like the Griffin living room, Stewie’s bedroom and the Channel 5 news desk. Themed cocktails like “The No No Noooo,” “Shut Up Meg,” and “Cool Whip” are cleverly crafted and tasty, and the “Eat My Junk” menu brings tongue‑in‑cheek fun with items like the Good Old Fashioned Value Burger and Greased Up Deaf Fries. Add in trivia nights, karaoke, and themed Easter‑egg sounds around every turn, and it pulls off an unbelievably playful, nostalgic experience that’s more than just a pop‑up it’s a fully interactive Family Guy party you won’t forget.
Joseph B — Google review
The best thing about this place is the pop up events, this review is focused on the family guy one. You have to go on a Wednesday (trivia) or Thursday (karaoke) or else I don’t think it’s worth the cover. It’s nice that there is a drink included, the family guy cocktail options are all fun. But there is not much to do besides a few photo ops. Without the added entertainment I would not spend your money on it.

Came for brunch, immediately greeted with a dirty cup of dish water on the table. Ordered the omelette, it was $19. Extremely disappointing, it was small, no filling inside, and the side? Butter lettuce. Could’ve been elevated with home fries and toast. Mediocre service. Much better options to support in East Boston.
Ava T — Google review
We had high hopes for this place. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, and the mocktails really good. The duck drummette appetizer was fantastic and the atmosphere was relaxed. Unfortunately, the main course let us down. While my partner's steak was perfectly cooked, the fries that came had been cooked in very old oil. They had a tough chewy texture and smelled off. My chicken parmesan came highly recommended and looked great all covered in a tasty marinara. But after a couple bites into it, I realized the temperature was cool. When I checked the remaining breast slice, the meat was translucent and cold. It was undercooked and I sent it back. The server was apologetic and tried to fix the mistake. Not her fault at all, but I didn't have an appetite after that so I didn't accept the offer of another entree. I was more worried about getting sick right before our flight the next morning. The chicken breast we ordered our kid came out very last and it was so overcooked and dry that it was inedible. So neither my kid or myself got to eat a full meal. It would have been nice to at least have a mocktail or two comped for the trouble we went through of not receiving meals. But, unfortunately, only the server seemed to care about our experience, as no one else came to talk with us about what happened. While the server tried her best to make up for a mistake that was not her fault, the damage was done. We still tipped 20% and reassured the server it wasn't her fault. Hope our server had a decent night and this place improves.

I don’t usually write food reviews, but I have to give credit where it’s due — ever since Cunard Tavern brought in their new chef, the food has been nothing short of extraordinary. The flavors are unique, bold, and unlike anything else you’ll find in Boston. Every dish feels thoughtfully crafted, perfectly prepared, and served with true professionalism. Each time I visit, I’m more impressed than the last. Even tonight’s takeout was flawless — restaurant-quality presentation and flavor that rivaled the city’s finest dining spots. Consistency like that says it all. Cunard Tavern has become my go-to, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

I stopped in for bite around 5PM, as I've gone by it many times and always saw it very animated. The steamed mussels were good though a bit heavy on the mayonnaise, but a relatively small portion for a fairly steep price; also several of the muscles or microscopic in size indicating that the selection was not of the highest quality. I also had the duck with rice without the kimchi, which was reasonably good but also very overpriced. The staff however was really friendly very professional. I spent over 50 bucks plus tips for just these two plates and without anything to drink.

You might want to ask first 🤷🏼‍♀️ Overall, we were so happy with this spot

Good atmosphere in this small space. I really enjoyed all the art and trinkets on the walls. The staff were helpful. It was great to see how they work together in such space! The mushroom toast was good, as well as the slider. The warm lentil salad was a fine veg option. My partner had the hot dog special and enjoyed it. The second our server was amazing and educational and patient, as we had limited knowledge of wines. They even ran after me through the street when I left a flower I'd been carrying behind! So sweet. I don't know your name but thank you to the first wine slinger pictured on the website!

Sports bar
Stats Bar & Grille is a popular two-level sports bar with a modern ambiance, offering numerous TVs and an assorted menu of bar food. It's known as a hotspot for young adults and has even created an outdoor beer garden in the adjacent parking lot, complete with rows of wooden picnic tables and umbrellas. Visitors praise the excellent food, friendly service, and welcoming atmosphere. The establishment is also lauded for its fantastic brunch offerings and great selection of drinks.
We had a good experience here. The chicken tenders and brussel sprouts were definitely house made and tasty. The Mac and cheese fritters, most likely frozen, kind of bland. The jalapeño ranch was a surprising highlight of our visit.

Arrived, was seated …. After 15 minutes not one waitress approached us. 3 of them were behind the bar, playing on their phones…. Talking to eachother … the others were standing in a corner also on their phones. 20 minutes go by, we flagged someone down finally… place was dead and not busy. Just wasn’t impressed with the inattentiveness… food was great..

Ordered last night and had a wonderful experience. Tonight was a different story. I received much less chicken than yesterday. I also got blue cheese after asking for ranch. Then I went back inside and asked for ranch and received blue cheese AGAIN. Decent tenders but after tipping well for tenders two nights in a row during times like this...I'm left to support other establishments willing to take my order seriously. Sad to say quality of chicken was completely off too. These tasted chewy, rubbery dry at times and lukewarm. The ones yesterday were freshly done. Tried one more time and worst than ever burnt, dry and tough.

Cocktail bar
Bar
OFFSUIT is a cozy speakeasy located in Boston's Leather District, offering an intimate setting with just 20 seats. Accessible through a discreet alley entrance, this hidden gem boasts a diverse cocktail selection that includes both classic favorites and innovative creations. The bar blurs the line between food and beverage by combining ingredients from the culinary and mixology worlds. With its romantic ambiance, superb drinks, and vinyl-spun tunes, OFFSUIT provides an ideal setting for a memorable date night experience.
Such an awesome place. My wife and I had a great time and would return again for sure. My favorite menu item probably lands between the hired gun and the city club but everything was great. Bravo to the hospitality as well - the team deserves a lot of praise for making this a memorable experience for us. Cheers !
Nicholas W — Google review
I love Offsuit - it has an actual speakeasy vibe as it’s definitely a very obscure entrance from an alley. The drinks are awesome - it’s an interesting menu and everything I’ve ordered here has been delicious. It’s such a cool vibe here too, perfect for a date night - very dark and intimate, and they’re often playing 90s hip hop, which I love. It’s pricey for sure - last time the bill was $250 for 2 people, but we did get multiple rounds of drinks as well as food. On that note, food was good too - small plates and bar snack vibes but it was enough for a full meal. We’ll definitely keep coming back, and highly recommend if you like craft cocktails!
Millie M — Google review
It was quite an adventure finding Offsuit—we even had to check Google Maps to figure out the entrance, and once we found it, we called to get in, which just added to the fun. Inside, the space is stunning: the lighting, the ambience, and the little candles on each table really set the mood. The menu itself was playful and creative, designed like a deck of cards you flip through. For cocktails, I tried the myth of fingerprints (gin, grapefruit lillet, sweet pepper cordial) while my partner had impossible odds (mezcal, celery, peach, earl gray, tarragon oil) and both were absolutely amazing—honestly some of the finest cocktails I’ve ever had, so innovative and balanced. We also had the Pao pao shrimp (w/ spicy aioli, scallion, sesame), which paired perfectly with the drinks. I even told the bartender how impressed I was, because the flavors were that good. Lily greeted us warmly and made us feel so welcome throughout the evening. This place is such a gem—we’ll definitely be back for sure!
Sharanya S — Google review
Our server was excellent. He spent time explaining the drinks and the process behind making them, and giving his personal recommendations along with popular choices. We felt guided throughout the menu and taken care of. The drinks and food tasted incredible. If you like speakeasies or cool cozy spots, highly recommend.
Ally — Google review
It’s a hidden gem tucked behind an unmarked alley door, adding to the mystery and charm. Inside, the red interiors and dim lighting create an amazing, intimate vibe. The cocktails are top-notch; some strong and slow-sipping, others easy and quick, but not many gin-based options. Overall, a stylish and unique spot for a great night out or for a nightcap after dinner.
Abhishek S — Google review
Extremely Disappointing – Worst Speakeasy Experience We’ve Had We’ve visited speakeasies all over the United States, and this was by far the worst experience we’ve had. We were quoted a 20–40 minute wait but ended up waiting over two hours—despite staying right next door at their sister bar. When we were finally shown to our seats, they abruptly took them away, claiming a late reservation had shown up and offered us standing room at a crowded community table instead. No apology, no explanation, and no attempt to make it right. To top it off, the drinks were poorly made and completely underwhelming. Highly overrated—definitely not worth your time or money.
Bridget R — Google review
The drinks, atmosphere, and styling was all so perfect! I’ll definitely be coming back when I have more time. The Stage Whisper was also delicious!
Alexa M — Google review
Impressive Cocktails & Elevated Comfort Food Down a dark alley and through an unmarked black door—finding Offsuit felt like unlocking a secret level. (Technically, you can sneak in through Troquet on South’s back door, but where’s the fun in that?) The mystery set the bar high. Given its popularity, we expected the bar to be packed on a Saturday night, but the atmosphere was surprisingly calm and intimate. Granted, we lucked out with a cozy couch seating tucked away from the main crowd, where groups gathered around a standing table in the center. Offsuit’s cocktail menu had a good balance between timeless classics and inventive creations. From the classics, the Espresso Martini was undeniably the best I ever had—impeccably balanced, smooth, and never overly sweet. A rich espresso punch without cloying syrupiness. Another surprise was the Vibe Check, where a subtle curry note added a pleasantly unexpected depth, lingering just enough to intrigue without overpowering the drink. The most interesting things were on the “Ace of Spades” menu—high-end cocktails (a rarity in Boston) and some seriously luxe bites. We skipped the drinks but went all in on the food. The white truffle “Uncrustable” was our favorite with its rich truffle and gruyere combo. The Foie Gras/Baller Burger? Solid, but not the best I’ve had. And the Foie Gras Crunch Bar was basically a top-tier chocolate bar with a great crunch (almost zero scent of foie gras). Another surprise was the Boozy Cookies & Milk—a treat I didn’t expect to find at a cocktail bar. Fresh out of the oven, the cookies filled the air with a nice aroma and their pillowy softness made for a perfect sweet send-off. I haven’t explored many speakeasies in Boston, but so far, Offsuit takes the crown. Definitely coming back to dive deeper into their cocktail game. Favorites: Espresso Martini, Vibe Check, White Truffle Uncrustable Solid: Hired Gun, Baller Burger, Burgundy Escargots, Boozy Milk & Cookies, Decent: Pick me Girl, Foie gras crunch bar

Bully Boy Distillers, founded by a pair of brothers, offers tours and tastings of their handcrafted rum, vodka, whiskey, and cocktails on tap. The distillery's South Boston location features a tasting room adorned with ottoman rugs and a mural depicting the founders' great-grandfather atop his favorite horse, Bully Boy.
Absolutely incredible distillery! The bartenders are incredible! We took the tour and it is so worth it! Definitely recommend!!

We did a private cocktail making class with Rebecca and she was AWESOME! She was super knowledgeable and flexible with people's alcohol preferences so everyone could make drinks they truly enjoyed. We were also able to bring some food which was great to nibble on in between drinks. So much fun!
Shea B — Google review
One of the best tour experiences of any distillery or brewery I can remember! Our host Phil did a great job. While the "stops" were limited the review of history and process was thorough and interesting. The tasting was good. I actually enjoyed and appreciated their gin (I am not a gin fan) and it's very interesting to find that their rum is old-school molasses-based.... pretty cool for the only distillery in Boston proper in the last 100 years since prohibition (and the fact there were over 60 distilleries making rum back then and Boston was a global hub for it. A very small but nicely decorated bar with limited seating ended the tour. Unfortunately too crowded for us but everybody looked like they were having fun. Definitely a great visit!
Ed R — Google review
Their honey maple tables, spacious rooms, and plush seats are a haven for anyone who appreciates a genuine speakeasy for enjoying a good drink with friends. As someone who doesn’t drink, their juniper belt is my go-to, and it is zesty. The distillery itself is in a pleasant part of town, as the staff is so friendly and wants you to truly enjoy yourself.

I love this place! Every single cocktail that I've tried are absolutely delicious and so creative. Every bartender when I've gone have been extremely nice ! There is a back section away from the bar with additional seating which is nice when the bar area gets busy

Please find another way to get your items delivered instead of tip-baiting us hard working drivers. Isaiah that wasn’t right what u did. I have to bike far in this weather just for the whole tip to be taken away leaving me with $2 instead of $12. I use this money for my snacks during my dialysis treatments I sit through for 4 hours. Yes we’re all struggling but this isn’t the way sir! 😢

Wow I took a cocktail class here last night and it was so much fun!! Sailor was a fantastic teacher and I learned a lot in a really cool space. We made a bees knees and a daiquiri, they were both fabulous. You can really tell there is a high attention to detail. Drinks on the regular menu were also really good (and well-priced). Can’t recommend a visit here enough, I can’t wait to go back!
Bridey M — Google review
They were busy and only 1 person working the bar so there wasn't much service. the bartender didn't even look at us to indicate that we had to go up to the bar (which had no place to stand when all of the chairs at the bar were occupied. Great tasting flights though, we had the Coop rums flight and the American flight plus the No Rivals drink. i ended up buying a bottle of the number 1 coop rum but enjoyed everything.

Nestled atop the stylish 907 Main hotel in Cambridge's Central Square, Blue Owl Rooftop Bar has quickly become a must-visit destination since its opening in September. This vibrant venue offers an impressive selection of contemporary cocktails and international street food snacks that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. Guests can choose between a chic indoor bar with spacious booths and tables or an inviting outdoor patio featuring lounge chairs and high tops, perfect for soaking up the lively atmosphere below.
Start indoors. You’ll get great ambience and comfy seating. The bartenders are legit! We had a small group with orders ranging from Manhattan’s to “I’d like something punchy, sweet, and fizzy.“ Not sure what she made but it tasted spot on to the request. Then head out doors for an awesome view - plenty of seating for big groups and the best place to catch the sunset in the area. We ordered some food out there and no complaints either. This was easily five stars and will definitely be back.
Brandon M — Google review
The views and location are the best part about Blue Owl. The drinks are fairly pricey for what they are, but if you're just going for one or two on a warm evening, it's a nice experience. The food is really good, I recommend the ceviche and the fritters.
Mark D — Google review
Drinks are mostly good, although the Clarified Ramos was really bad… the orange blossom was so overwhelming that it straight up tasted like perfume. I eventually diluted with ice and even water, still not drinkable. What a waste of a $22 drink. Service was pretty slow, even on a Wednesday evening. The way their tipping system is set up is a scam imo. Apparently everyone is using Toast nowadays and force you to choose a tip amount while the waiter/waitress is watching. Their lowest default tip is 20%, and that’s calculated AFTER TAX, which I only realized afterwards. So really it’s minimal 27% tip!! That’s just ridiculous. Probably not going back again. Sad ;(
Rebecca L — Google review
Came here for a drink with friends. Vibe is fine, but the drinks are total trash. They all tasted like they were made from a powder mix or something; simply undrinkable . We couldn’t take more than a few sips - with tip, each drink was $18 each…. We left our full glasses after closing out our tab and the bartender didn’t even comment or ask if he could get us something else when we clearly weren’t liking our drinks. Too bad, as it’s a great location. Will not come back. UPDATE: They comped it, but still won’t come back :/
Talia K — Google review
Definitely pricey, but friendly staff, complex drink offerings, and great views from this rooftop bar. Worth a quick stop in for a drink.
Kortney A — Google review
Great drinks but what's up with the way the waitlist is managed? We got our text for our spot and we even texted back "2" to say we were coming (we were literally in The Dial downstairs finishing up drinks) come to find the host said he sent out multiple texts to multiple parties simultaneously and that it was a first come first serve situation, so we missed our chance? We even chugged our drinks to make sure we weren't too late, but let me be honest I don't need to go to a rooftop bar that badly if you literally have to be there the second you are texted even after confirming you'll be there.
Eric Z — Google review
This place is sooo nice! The waitress was really nice too & the food was good overall.
Tisha — Google review
Came here on a Saturday evening after an art show. The ambiance is really nice for a date, or small groups. Interior has a romantic feel, rooftop is fun but quiet. Cocktails looked interesting. I tried the “Dill Or No Dill” cocktail and it was so delicious I got another. Definitely dangerous lol. For food we ordered jerk chicken skewers and the fried chicken sandwich. Jerk chicken was good but the chicken sandwich was amazing!!! Literally the best chicken sandwich ever. Both dishes had quality ingredients. Now the drinks and food were both excellent. Unfortunately the service was lackluster. We asked the host by the elevator if there was spots outside, there was a lot of back and forth and she said yes there was availability. When we got there the host said there would be a 20 minute wait but we could wait at the bar. Which was fine, no issues. The bar was not super crazy busy, and one of the bar tenders blatantly ignored us while we asked for a menu. Once we got someone’s attention it was fine. It didn’t ruin the experience or anything but the service was okay for it not being busy. Once we got outside we wanted to order another drink but there was no staff member to be found. We had to go inside and place it. Maybe service is just slow here and we aren’t used to it. But besides that I did enjoy it and would come here again for the chicken sandwich alone.
