We came here with our family an 8 top and they accommodated us wonderfully! We had a reservation and had excellent service. Most of us had drinks and they were all delicious! I had the steak tacos and wow it hit the spot! The meat is incredibly tender and full of flavor. We all loved the guacamole as well which we got 2 orders of. The energy here is very modern. We will definitely come back again. Definitely a great experience, service, food, and atmosphere!

We visited The Mission in Scottsdale after landing, with my husband, daughter-in-law, and grandson. It was just before the dinner hour, and while the restaurant itself had a nice setting, the service unfortunately left much to be desired. The hostess looked exhausted and not very welcoming, and our waitress greeted us with a tone right from the start. When my grandson asked if there were other drink options besides what she listed, she curtly responded, “What I told you is what we have, nothing else.” He then decided on a Shirley Temple, which arrived without any syrup and tasted off. When we mentioned it, she replied, “I made it and oh maybe the syrup is out,” but didn’t seem too concerned. The only time we saw her smile was when she handed my husband the check. On the positive side, the mahi mahi tacos were delicious. However, there were no food options for toddlers, and overall the service didn’t feel friendly or attentive. Considering the cost of dining out, it just wasn’t worth it. For us, this won’t be a place we try again.

We had the carnitas for two - absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this meal. We also ordered the guacamole which was served and prepared table side, which was fantastic. They even allow you to measure the amount of heat with the Serano peppers, so if you like it spicy or mild, you could get it however you would like. Chips and salsa were top notch, thin, crispy chips, and a very good salsa that was light and refreshing. We got the duck empanadas for appetizer, which were absolutely delicious. Unlike any empanada I’ve ever eaten. For dessert, we got their homemade ice cream, I would consider it to basically be Mexican Street corn, which was really good and really unique and very light and taste and palate cleansing. Our waitress was outstanding and suggested are entrée and dessert which we were very grateful for!

If you are looking for delicious 😋 Mexican come here I am vegan/vegetarian and ate butternut squash tacos(🌮 so good And the best I ever ate). I also had the cauliflower entree and it was also good. Then my husband raved about his braised short rib tacos and they were...a WOW factor! Our friends ordered chicken tacos and they were raving about theirs too. Jesse was an excellent waiter and took pictures of all of us.

We're from Austria in Europe and visited The Mission on our trip through the southwestern United States in our rented RV. We were quickly and easily assigned a table, and the friendly, smiling server immediately asked us what we wanted to drink and promptly brought water and the wine we ordered. The specialty, which most people eat here, is the guacamole. It's prepared at the table by a staff member and tastes delicious. A visit is definitely worth it; highly recommended. Klaus & Karin

It's been many years since we have been to The Mission, so I was happy to return for a birthday meal. They sat us promptly at our reservation time and I received excellent attention from all staff, including some happy birthday wishes. The table side guac is always a nice treat with a marg. I forgot you can sit outside, may try that next time.

Service was a bit slower than expected but overall a really great experience. The guac is top tier, I was going to order the corn and the server immediately made me change my mind and I don’t regret switching. You can tell the fresh preparation in all of the food. I’d definitely come back again when visiting Arizona.

Favorite meal of our whole Scottsdale trip! What a gem. It's so cute from inside to outside they do not miss a beat. The sweet hostess sat us quickly at a big table; who doesn't love eating tacos on a leather couch?! I ordered chips and salsa/queso for the table and they were both so yummy. I ordered a fantastic cocktail that was served in a baby coconut and it was so cute & delicious. BRUSSELS SPROUT + PROSCIUTTO salad for dinner was a HUGE WIN. I added their grilled chicken and I cannot stop thinking about it. I love the way they bring out their 6 pack of salsas/sauces with the little menu card! Such a fun detail and they were all GREAT! A big shoutout to our hostess because I realized I had made the reservation for the wrong night, but she took care of it no problem. She was very kind! This was the only meal we said we would come back to the restaurant! Big Cheers! Thanks for a great dinner!

First time here and everything was great. The food, service and atmosphere all good. I had the mangonada which I didn't care for, next time I'll try the margarita. I would recommend this place for sure. Its super chill and relaxing. Everyone sat outside, we ended up sitting inside which was great...wasn't loud at all. Go check this place out.

Cute vibe as soon as you walk in. I was greeted and sat immediately. I ordered a watermelon mint rumita (because I hate tequila lol) and it was fabulous! I tried 1 of each taco; green chili chicken, charred skirt steak & the pineapple pork and a watermelon salad (guess I was feeling this summer day). Everything was fresh & juicy. Skyler was an absolute pleasure to have her wait on me. Whenever I'm in town again, I'll have to stop by!

Happy hour was sooooo delish! We had Brussel sprout nachos, huge, so many flavorful toppings, great to share! We loved the six chilled sauces they bring out and had fun trying them all. We also got a ceviche which was packing a punch but tasty. Will def be back!

One of the best happy hours in Scottsdale that goes on till 6pm! Fun atmosphere and friendly service. The food we had was decent but not great. We only liked the chicken crunchy taco and the different variety of sauces they provide were really fun to try. Will continue to visit and try more of their menu. 👍🏻

Comida a today madre, indeed! Recommended by an Uber driver, we came here on our first visit to the Old Town Scottsdale area. Really fun merch at the checkout area. Huge bar! Our first waiter kind of forgot about us, but then we got Juan! Absolutely fabulous service. Super personable and efficient. Give him a raise!! Loved the chopped salad with shrimp. And the Skinny Cholla. That slanting glass makes you notice less when you've had a few! My husband chose The Queen (nothing new there) and loved it. It was not quite too hot to sit outside in the shade, so we had a lovely lunch in the patio. Fabulous!

Stopped in here for lunch after walking around Scottsdale. We were one of the first to be seated, by the time we left the restaurant was packed! That is always a good sign. We had the protein bowl and salad for lunch. The portion sizes were very large. They also serve chips and salsa. The food was excellent. There was enough to bring home another meal. Parking can be a challenge. We found free parking in the garage right behind the restaurant. We will be back!

Went for Friday happy hour and they had such great deals on frozen margaritas ($6) and tapas ($4-$6). Their famous guac was the highlight, with pops of flavor from the pomegranate and it’s made in front of you. Our server was also very attentive and friendly.

Came for a worker dinner with a party of 9. Easy reservation process. The food was great. We had street corn and I had three tacos. The salsa was also excellent. I got two margaritas, both of which I had our server surprise me. They were fantastic. I tried the death one too and it was spicy! But good. The atmosphere was a little too loud for me, but I'd still go back. It was a nice experience.

Went in a big group and the service was great! Food was good, very big portions for the California enchiladas. I thought it was served with two, but there were three. We were celebrating someone’s birthday and they gave us assorted churros as a treat.

I had an amazing experience at Cien Agaves Tacos & Tequila. It was my first time so I wanted to try a bunch of items. I ordered an amazing dip. Chicken tortilla soup and Hawaiian shrimp tacos. Somehow they all ended up being extremely affordable because it was happy hour. My bill was only $24. I was expecting it to be $60. I’m definitely going back again. All of the staff really seemed to enjoy their job and we’re having fun in high-fiving each other. I feel like a manager stopped by every five seconds and asked if I needed a refill or if I needed salsa and if everything was OK. The vibe in old town Scottsdale is really cool. There was live music happening outside. Lots of people walking around.

I was impressed at how great the Island shrimp tacos were!I will come back just for that. Just thinking about it is making my mouth water, it's a must try. The flavor is so good, but a bit spicy. The place is nice and the service was good.

Visited based upon ratings and it did not disappoint. Coincidentally came on Taco Tuesday just barely ordering drinks and appetizers under the 6pm happy hour cut off. Service was outstanding ensuring we benefited. Tacos were all outstanding personally I prefer the Diablo Shrimp Tacos mas caliente with no rice. But all else, especially the guacamole and queso we’re outstanding!

Stopped by with my family and sat upstairs on the porch. You get a great overview of Scottsdale. Happy hour was amazing and definitely tasted freshly made. The standard cien agaves margarita was delicious. Definitely recommend the frozen margarita better than the over iced margarita. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed with others employees and forgot to grab our chips and salsa. Asked for certain items to be notified, which they were not allowed to be per waitress. Drinks made up for the attitude we received.

First time visiting after spending the day walking around Old Town. Wanted to find a good Mexican spot that we didn't have to drive to and found Los Olivos - we are very happy we did! It's a little hidden but worth it! We came during lunch time on a weekend and there was no wait. The main dining room inside is nice and feels very authentic. The decor and architecture in different areas is very cool! Food wise, we tried the Steak Fajitas and Chicken Enchiladas. Delicious! Great sized portions. The fajitas in particular had a huge amount of food! Even the kids meals were good sizes. Ordered a few drinks as well - the house margarita, strawberry margarita, and the sangria. Drinks were okay in the groups opinion. On the small side compared to other places around. Overall, really good food and service. Definitely worth trying out when in Old Town.

Yummy guacamole! Fish tacos were pretty good, chicken tacos were alright. Spinach enchiladas were interesting and could have some more seasoning. They were fairly busy and it took a while to place the food order once we were seated. Great atmosphere!

This place is more American than Mexican… the food it has a completely different taste and texture as traditional Mexican dishes, and besides that it’s too expensive for 2 tacos, rice and beans plate $22, it’s outrageous.. not recommended as a Mexican restaurant

The food was extremely bland and the micheladas were plain. The best part was the free salsa lol. The wait staff and manager were super fantastic though and the food came fast! Atmosphere was amazing too! (The picture is the “queso” haha it tasted like velveeta) sorry if this was rude!

Although I had high expectations I was not impressed by the food. Frankly it was bland and tasteless for the most part. The hot salsa was the only thing I found that had any taste at all. It's not at all like I remember from 20 years ago.

Excellent all around! Traveling to/fro Las Vegas for a short personal trip. So glad I made this my last stop pre-flight! I had the chile relleno and cheese/onion enchilada w/ red sauce, SO GOOD! They pour hefty margaritas too! I will definitely be back since I cone every 4-6 months!

We went here for my birthday. Unfortunately, I'm super popular and a bunch of people wanted to celebrate with me. We had a hard time finding a place where I could make a reservation for 12+ on such short notice. The downside is that for a bill that large means a mandatory gratuity and the service wasn't very good. The server disappeared for a long time after taking the first round of drinks. My wife asked for a glass of water three times, never received one. My dad asked for salsa with his meal, never got it. We asked for an extra plate, never received it. The food was pretty good, but I don't think I would go back.

First and last time I eat here. Service was terrible,we had our dirty dishes in front of us the whole time. Server didn’t even check up on us. Food was mediocre, rice had too much garlic in it, fish taco was more like a cabbage taco (look at the picture🤦🏽‍♀️) It had like 3 lil pieces of fish. Their salsa and beans were good. It was nice and clean in there. Good music, perfect volume. If their service and food was a lil better, I would’ve visited again. Food was NOT worth the price. $13 for 1 taco, ridiculous. I don’t mind paying for GOOD food but this was NOT good.

This restaurant used to be our favorite. Haven't visited in a few years and we will not be back unfortunately. Sat down, waited for a cocktail 15 minutes, noticed no one was cleaning off tables / plates from the bar. I didn't see anyone clean/disinfect any surfaces during the 2 hours we were sitting in the bar. Food is still tasting great but everything else is on a downfall. We left and the place looked absolutely disgusting. Lots of staff just standing around.

We decided to celebrate our anniversary here because of our fond memories from previous visits, and it was an excellent choice. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed at our table, which was ready for us, and congratulated by every staff member who interacted with us. The service was exceptional, from appetizers to dessert. A sincere thank you to all the staff and the manager for making our anniversary so special.

Modern vibe in an semi industrial setting. Easy seating, not too noisy. Ricky provided excellent service along with perfect food and drink recommendations. Portions were perfect. Chili Verde and Shrimp stuffed Chili Rellenos were awesome! Ask for Ricky to serve you, seriously!

On my last day in Scottsdale, I stopped at Toca Madera and honestly, I can’t stop thinking about it—it was the perfect way to close out the trip. We went for breakfast but also tried the fresh tuna, and oh my gosh, everything was so flavorful and beautifully presented. Our server was amazing—super sweet, attentive, and full of great recommendations that made the experience even better. The drinks were also spot on: tasty, refreshing, and with just the right amount of alcohol. The inside of the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous—such a chic, stylish vibe that works whether you’re coming for brunch, a date night, or even just to enjoy great food with friends. It’s one of those places where the food, drinks, and atmosphere all come together perfectly. If you’re in Scottsdale, Toca Madera is a must-visit. Whether you’re with someone you love (or don’t!), it’s worth the experience. Definitely a highlight of the trip.

I saw a lot of ppl raving about the spot on TikTok so I just had to try it for my birthday. It definitely did not disappoint. I got the tomahawk and the presentation as well as taste was excellent. I normally don’t like truffle but the macaroni was delicious and so was the street corn. Drinks were cute and poured generously. Service was top notch as well. And to seal it all with a bow they also give military discounts. Highly recommend giving this restaurant a try

We found a reservation online last minute. The atmosphere is gorgeous and there was performances involving fire breathing! The food was delicious and full of flavor. The craft cocktails had great presentation and taste. I hope you save room for dessert because that butter cake was melt in your mouth perfection.

I thought we took more pictures! 😅 but definitely will be back and post more. I had been here before but never for brunch. Brunch was GREAT! Had the avo toast and it was delicious 😋 honestly, it was way bigger than I expected. My friend and I could have shared it and been full. We also got the bottle of champagne deal 🍾 and we loved it. We would have loved if the dancers were out during brunch.. it was definitely a quieter vibe than we expected. But still would go back!

Really disappointing experience. I'm sure this was the exception, not the norm, but service was really bad. Food was really good, though, so 2/5. We were there for 3 hours and the server checked in on us a few times, but almost every time we had to ask where parts of our order was. Our drinks were forgotten multiple times and my bloody mary came without some of the garnishes I added, the beer was warm once delivered, they forgot one of our appetizers, and forgot one of our sides. Once we got home, they forgot to pack one of our entrees and didn't pack the salsa I had added to my plate. They did offer us dessert, which was a nice surprise, and all of our food was amazing, but really terrible experience. We do highly recommend the queso fundido, waygu burger, Japanese waygu steak, and the tres leches cake.

This place definitely has a very lively atmosphere and vibe, which is a huge plus for a night out. The service staff were excellent—our server was very nice and attentive, and the hostess was also lovely. However, the experience was slightly marred by the security outside, who were a little obnoxious. Despite the great service and atmosphere, the food was the major letdown. It was overpriced, extremely salty, and just not appealing at all. Given the high cost, the quality of the meal was very disappointing.

Great service. Our server Sergio was fantastic. He was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was good and came out fast. We loved the house made salsa. The tacos were good, but seemed small for the price. The patio was shaded and comfortable with misters.

The tamales were delicious!! Amazing. Exactly what I wanted. The queso was also really good. So hot and fresh. Sizzling!! The beans were pretty good. Rice and the potato taco were just ok. Margarita did not have a ton of guava flavor. We ate outside on the patio. Tons of misters, covered, and dog friendly.

Wonderful food and a great selection of beers, margaritas, margarita variations, tequilas. This is a quaint, authentic family type run restaurant. The menu has an excellent selection of authentic Mexican foods! I am definitely going back to try more things!

We stopped in here after after driving around looking for a lunch spot with parking. The food was decent, not great. It felt like the portions were on the light side. It did the job, we were fed.

I stopped here to take in the atmosphere and have a drink whilst walking the neighborhood on Scottsdale Road. The decor is quite nice and the menu looks great. I will be back on my next visit and explore the menu a bit.

We wanted to eat outback as most people were doing so as it was a nice day, but we sat down on wet cushions from the rain the night before. No one checked it out before seating us. 3 of the 4 chairs at our table were very wet. Then we were brought chips and salsa and water. She said she'd be back to get our orders. It was quite awhile. We had finished the chips and salsa and water over that long period. When she finally returned she said I didn't get your orders yet did I? So we gave her our orders. My boyfriend ordered a normal drink served at most places, that they apparently didn't serve, but she didn't know that I guess, so she said she'd get it. His drink never came. When he finally complained over a long period of time about my getting his drink or our food, she said oh I guess we don't serve that drink but the food is coming soon. It was kind of crazy lol. Our food was just ok. Guacamole seemed kind of bland. Tortillas were good. Beans weren't very good. Owner/manager was nice and did what he could to make all the unfortunate events better I give him props for that. When we wanted to leave we had to track down our ditsy waitress as she disappeared again. We caught her just eating and talking about her personal problems to another worker. I found it all kind of horribly comical but my boyfriend was not amused so I don't see us returning, which is too bad because we used to frequent this place a couple years ago and just decided to start going again.

Caldo 7 Mares was no good. They put imitation crab meat when it’s pictured with real crab legs. They burnt the telera bread I ordered for the caldo horribly, one side was so black I couldn’t even pick around it. I had to send it back. Tacos are mediocre and small. Spent a good $36 and threw most of it away.

Paid 13+ for this. Mostly beans very very little chicken. sour cream chips and guac on it. LOTS of beans. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH 13 DOLLARS!!!!! Theor website says 7+. It was MEDIOCRE at best. We were in the area (Old Town Scottsdale) and wanted Mexican Food. We decided on El Original Tacos Jalisco. Unfortunately, it wasn't really what we were looking for but ate here regardless. I had the Carne Asada Taco. It came with a lot of meat and the meat was a bit hard. So, not the best I've ever had. I didn't like the red sauce that it was topped with but I did enjoy the salsa verde or geen salsa. I did enjoy the carnitas. My grandson didn't like the taste of the meat so I ended up eating it.

This Mexican restaurant/ taco shop is incredible, it’s definitely one of the best ones in the area, you’d have to go more into Phoenix to find similar authentic Mexican food! The staff is super friendly and they are very outgoing, very polite and since coming here for many years I noticed they still have the same. Next to the restaurant there is also a Mexican slushy shop, which is awesome. I highly recommend it as well.

I ordered the sope and taco, honestly I’m confused. Last time I ordered the sope they prepared it for me but this time they just put everything on the plate for me to do. Which isn’t a big deal just confused why it’s different this time. imo this place is too expensive for the quality. My coworkers love it so I don’t have a choice sometimes to come here Only place I have come across that tries (sign above hot sauce bar) to charge for more than 1-2 little cups of salsa.

Absolutely banger tripa tacos. I don’t know what constitutes ‘legit’ Mexican food, I mean, look at my name it’s as bland as a cucumber sandwich sans mayonnaise, but the taco platter I got was deadly with a capital D. 11/10 would eat there again if I found myself in the cultural morass that is Scottsdale Arizona.

I'm calling BS on some of the negative reviews for this restaurant. One, everyone from the hostess to waitresses to bartender are super friendly. Secondly. The food and the amount of food is great. One review said their were two tablespoons of meat in the beef enchilada. I got the enchiladas, one cheese and one shredded beef and they were HUGE. Also, they have a great happy hour with Incredible prices for both drinks and appetizers. I highly recommend the queso fundido and guacamole. Plenty of parking and not packed like so many Scottsdale restaurants.

The food here is amazing. I highly recommend ordering a bunch of appetizers, to sample a bunch of different things. Their chocolate cake is HUGE, easily shareable between two or three people. The staff are great, we were greeted by a lovely lady named Avary who showed us to our seat. We found it to be in a portion of the restaurant that was a little too dark for us, I asked Toni if we could move, and promptly found ourselves seated in a much brighter section, right by the window. John our server was the real all-star. My wife drinks ice tea like a camel before a long trip through the desert, and her glass was never empty for long. Super friendly, he helped guide us with the menu, to pick items we would love. His suggestion of the chocolate cake was spot on. You can stop here, but anecdote time, the menu said that the chocolate cake would be toped by a chocolate donkey. We had no chocolate donkey on ours. We made a joke about it, and he double checked the menu, noticing it was brand new. We thought that would be the end of it, we were not in the least upset that we lacked said chocolate donkey. Well he took it upon himself to find out himself, eventually presenting use with our very own.

We love to start our vacation at the Boulders Resort with dinner at the Spotted Donkey Cantina. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is so pleasant with comfy seating and the donkey paintings. The margaritas are delish (try the prickly pear). They also have a great happy hour. You can get a shuttle from your casita or villa at the Boulders to the Donkey so that’s an added plus.

We traveled from out of town and chose this place because they had gluten free options. The staff were attentive and the food and margaritas were delicious. During our visit, we also had an unexpected medical issue with my daughter and all of the staff that was able to help were ready to assist. Their actions show that they truly care about the well-being of their customers and the experience you have while dining there.

We love the art on the wall, a lot of donkies that were painted by a local artist and they’re all for sale. Now, as far as the service, it was good, we really enjoyed our waitress, but the food was meh. I added shrimp to my fajitas and it was a whopping $36, not a whole Lotta flavor and who adds chunks of tomatoes and sausage to their fajitas. I’ve never had anything like it. I can say, not anyone was super thrilled with their food. Drinks and food to expensive for what you get. I just can’t-

Wonderful spot for tacos, protein bowls, chips and salsa and a huge piece of chocolate cake to top it off. I wasn’t expecting one of my favorite meals I’ve had all year when I googled chips and salsa near me. John was such a great server giving us top tier service and making us feel like family. 10/10 would recommend this delicious dining experience.

We came here after our flight and was greeted by some of the nicest hostess in recent memories. They were courteous and helpful. Our service staff was also very nice and gave a small portion to try when asked about it. The menu offered a good variety of dishes and they were good and tasty. Even the chip and salsa had good flavor and proper spiciness for SW food. Overall we had a good experience.

I love Blanco. All locations. this one is participating in Arizona restaurant week May 16 through the 25th. I love their selection of tequila’s. I love the happy hour menu. The inside of this location is nice. Love the music. Air conditioning mist system on the patio.

Went here with my wife for dinner and a date night on our last evening in Scottsdale, and we were immediately blown away by the food. I had the jalapeño pineapple margarita—absolute perfection. My wife ordered a chimichanga, and that was spot-on too. Overall, the food was excellent and definitely worth coming back for whenever we’re in town again. The only downside was the restroom situation—men’s was outside in a trailer, and the women’s was oddly set up inside the men’s area. A little awkward, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience.

The food and service here were both excellent and the place has beautiful decor with plenty of parking. We tried the machaca enchiladas and a carnitas burrito and everything was really tasty especially the chips and salsa. Even though the beans and rice weren’t quite my style I still really enjoyed this restaurant.

Food was delicious, but our server pretty much ignored us. Waited around for awhile before our check was brought to us despite her making eye contact with us and bringing others their checks first. Based off food alone it would be a 5 but music was extremely loud and service was nothing to write home about.

We went here due to a recommendation for gluten allergy, my wife has celiacs so even cross-contamination will make her sick for days. The food was absolutely phenomenal, tasted delicious and they were able to adjust the majority of the menu to be gluten free. Our server, Manny is incredibly professional and quickly adjusted everything on the table. Once we mentioned celiacs. When my wife's food came out it was escorted by the manager as well. Who made sure that gloves were changed and everything was wiped down and everything was dropped in a clean fryer. My only gripe is the music was pretty loud. Had a hard time holding a conversation with my wife across the table but it's a very small gripe for health phenomenal the service was. Outstanding work Manny, dining experiences tend to be miserable because nobody ever takes it seriously when my wife gets sick for it but you went above and beyond.

If you are looking for authentic, tasty food and great service, go here. Our server Jay was extremely sweet, helpful and a pleasure to be around. Everything was so tasty and there were options for Vegans as well. I modified a salad but it was not a basic salad. They also had a chocolate cake slice that was HUGE. Don’t forget the homemade tortillas! If I lived in the area, I would be a regular. Definitely recommend.

The food was delicious. We had Sea Bass, Chicken enchiladas and fish tocos! The service was great. Btw the drinks were also excellent. Our favorite dish was the Sea Bass!

This was our second visit to this fun Mexican restaurant. Old Town Tortilla Factory is located in Old Town Scottsdale's art district. In a historic 75-year old adobe home. We had several dishes, we will add descriptions to the photos. The favorite was the tocos, drinks are nice that they serve with a mixer and that keeps the drink fresh. Nice atmosphere with plenty of room for big parties.

I was in Mesa for work and a co-worker recommended this restaurant. It did not disappoint. The roasted jalapeno margarita was delicious (and spicy). The elote was 🔥. I had the Pasta Calabacitas and I wish I could recreate this dish. It was phenomenal. The fresh tortilla with garlic butter was a fun treat. I sat outside (it was 105) because of the vibe. The misting set-up made it quite comfortable. There was a little bird who kept jumping on my table to try and get a snack. It was cute. I cannot wait to return. My server was so nice as well. She's a teacher who went to Mizzou. I can't remember her name, but if management sees this, please reward her.

We made a return trip to this restaurant in Scottsdale! The first time we came it was a weekend and we had a bit of a wait but so worth it! The staff is friendly, always have a smile, and the service is good. They have good portions of food, the drinks are wonderful (and are delivered so colorfully) The outside patio has so much room! There is a beautiful water fountain placed almost central on the patio. At night, there are lights hanging -it says “ambiance”! I would recommend this place to anyone that visits Scottsdale AZ.

While the service and atmosphere at the Old Tortilla Factory were commendable, unfortunately, the food fell extremely short of expectations; especially for Mexican food in Arizona. The chips tasted store-bought and lacked flavor, while both the rice and beans were bland—the beans seemed canned and unseasoned. Despite this, our server was attentive, especially considering our large group, ensuring our drinks were promptly refilled. Hopefully, improvements to the menu can match the quality of the service and ambiance.

We had a bachelorette party of 11 and it went off without a hitch! Such a lovely night. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. Margaritas served to perfection. The salad was wonderful. Everyone else seemed very pleased as well. The atmosphere is super cute, relaxing and fun. Great spot !

Friendly staff from the moment we walked in the door. The homemade chips & salsa immediately told me I'm in for a real treat! The food was excellent. Since I was new to the restaurant, I ordered the combination plate & my wife ordered the soft shell tacos. Super flavors & the sopapillas that came with the combination plate were homemade and delicious.

Was here with my buddy from back home in St. Louis joined by our Scottsdale host. Our local host hadn’t been here before and was excited to visit. We opted to eat on the patio out back. The wind was fairly strong that night and the design of the patio area was essentially a wind tunnel. Beyond that the space was very fun. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Kept up with drinks and helped us make our meal decisions. Our food was super yummy and I’d gladly return.

Overall, it was a great experience for authentic Mexican food, atmosphere, and service. Had our lunch on the patio, nothing fancy, but enjoyed the sunshine and the birds chirping! They have private parking too, which is a bonus.

Nothing angers me more than dishonesty… this place is lowest of the low… they have a menu outside the front door, easy to read proclaiming a happy hour with 50% off appetizers, $4.50 beer, $20 margarita pitcher and $8 large margarita. We shopped for an hour and came back for the happy hour… we were seated and handed a menu with 20% off appetizers, $5 beers, a $12 large margarita and no price for a pitcher - we were told by the waiter it’s $30 for a pitcher during happy hour. I brought this up to the waiter and he claimed he has repeatedly told the owner to change it but he hasn’t yet… look at the photos you can see they whited out prices and changed them. We had a beer each and left. Just be honest and admit you are shady! Hope this place goes out of business!

Service is delightful. Their food is delicious, especially Teddy's Carne Asada Burrito.

We just started to do an annual spring training trip, and this has been a go-to spot for us. Love the patio seating. Food is fantastic. The Queso Bean dip with Chorizo is the best I've had. The steak fajitas were plenty. Big portions and great pricing.

Based on other reviews, we knew we would enjoy this authentic experience. The food and service were excellent. We had the poblano cream chicken enchiladas and the chicken mole enchiladas and highly recommend both. The chips & salsa and margaritas are both great as well. The bathrooms are on their property but outside of the restaurant which isn’t super ideal.

Very friendly staff. Great environment & great decor. The drinks were very good and ascetic ! Some of them light up & had glitter in them ! The food was delicious! Would highly recommend all the sushi rolls and the mains. They do have a bit of spice on a lot of their items but all of it was so good.

I always recommend this spot. It’s truly unique with a creative fusion of Mexican and Asian cuisine , vibrant atmosphere, and attentive staff. Plates are visually stunning! And super flavorful. Same can be said for the cocktails. Perfect spot for a night out or special occasion. Always memorable.

This is one of my top 3 in greater Scottsdale. Great staff, good looking and helpful bartenders at a big square bar and AMAZING food at a reasonable price. See pics. Healthy, interesting, sushi-mex fusion. Music was just right when I was there from 5-7 pm on a week night. Lots of tables, some bigger groups. Easy parking behind the address in small cluster of buildings. Highly recommend

From the vallet to the reception to the waiter to the service and delicious food, this is one of my. New favorite restaurants! Shrimp tacos were so delicious and my favorite sushi we tried was recommended by our waiter, the Dragon Roll and was one of the best rolls I have ever had! I love the ambience and was perfect for a date with my beautiful wife. Most definitely will be seeing this place again soon. Oh yeah, bathrooms were super clean and there was a D.J. for Friday night playing music 🎵

Wow, this place did not disappoint. I saw someone review from TikTok (@destinyliley) and this place did not disappoint.... Once we were seated, our server explained the process (because it was our first visit) and said he would bring out a few plates. He did an exceptional job, they were all sooo good. I had the waygu steak and and eggs as my main meal, but I was so full from the small plates (that were unlimited). He ended our service with mini churro con leche and liquid cheesecake. 10 out of 10 stars. The pomegranate guacamole was probably the best I've ever had and I've had a lot -Guac and the best seasoned tostada (as the chips replacement), generously portioned -rangoons - egg roll - sushi -Pancake tacos Then... - Bravia papas - bacon and eggs - caramelized plantains Yes more... We had the waygu steak and eggs on cilantro rice and the Korean fried chicken sandwich as our mIn meal Ended with our desserts, he recommended dipping our churro into the liquid cheesecake. All mini, but unlimited..I went back for more sushi and Rangoons, but shouldn't have 🙈 All in all, awesome flavor profile, very fresh ingredients, and great service. We will be going back. Note that it is $45 s person so not for the faint of heart from a price perspective, but honestly worth every penny. The environment, food and drink quality was great.

Beautiful location with some really cool outdoor seating! Definitely was a vibe inside with cool decor. Our food was amazing and the cocktails were delicious. Our waitress was pretty slow checking in when it wasn’t very busy but it’s ok. Would definitely come back for the cocktails!

Our server Maria was absolutely amazing. Even with a group of 9 people, all of our drinks and food came out super fast and correct. The food and drinks were delicious and the atmosphere was great. We would absolutely come back.

Alma's didn't dissapoint at all! Had the pleasure of enjoying great food and flavorful drinks with an inviting atmosphere and perfect waitress. Christine was absolutely fabulous. Every suggestion she gave us was spot on and she checked on us often. You can't get any better with her and the level of service at Alma's. We can't wait to return when we get back in town!!!

I came here for brunch with a group of about 7. Service was great and fast. The food I was skeptical about just because of the area and such but it truly was so good. I ordered the fried cod tacos and it was a perfect balance of everything. All of my friends loved their food as well. Drinks were amazing and a good balance. Our server, I think his name was Issac, was so funny and perfect and did a great job at explaining what dishes were. I’ll be back for sure.

Absolutely delicious food, amazing service, and a fun atmosphere that fits the theme. My only complaint is I ordered chips and salsa for a pick up delivery and got the tiniest little thing of salsa. it was not even enough for 5 chips. I was pretty disappointed with that but the burrito was huge and really delicious.

We picked this place because it was a short drive from the Best Western Sure Stay. Wow, great food! Hubby & I shared the street taco (4) plate (2 chipotle chicken & 2 carne asada) with rice & beans (choice of pinto or black). Choice of toppings on the tacos. I was full on 1 taco & some rice & beans. Hubby had 3 & some rice & beans. We couldn’t finish all the rice & beans (seniors who always share). So Delicious! Glad we made this choice!!

Loved their pinto beans and rice - really delicious. Very helpful and friendly staff. Lots of salsas to choose from. One quesadilla was enough for two kids to share. It's not cheap, but no local restaurants are nowadays. The restaurant is a bit warm but it didn't take away from the overall experience.

Just happened to come across this place whilst out on a walk and decided to give it a try. It was quiet in there with only 1 couple at a table, but the time of day I went in would warrant that. The woman working there was very friendly and we chatted as she made my meal. I ordered the street tacos which gives you five small double soft tortillas filled with your choice of meat. Since there were five kinds of meat, I tried one of each. She made them with a little bit of everything for toppings, added some limes and habernero salsa on the side. The food was delicious and very filling. If I'm ever back in Scottsdale I'd definitely come back for another round.

Maskadores in south Scottsdale is now under new management and there are a ton of changes. Starting with the good: They added a salsa bar, the new management/employees seem very friendly and some of the prices have gone down . Unfortunately there's been a lot of negative changes too. The carne asada is no longer cooked to order - it's precooked and they just heat it up on the griddle, additionally the shrimp is not nearly as fresh and it seems like they try to cover it up by cooking it with a ton of sauce. They also changed the method of cooking the shrimp which negatively impacts it's texture. The old cook used to toss it on the griddle with peppers and onions(turned up to a much higher setting than they were using today) with a spoonful of water and then quickly cover it with a stainless steel dome. Today they threw it on the griddle and just doused it with some sauce(that didn't have all that much flavor) and cooked it for quite a long time. This left me with rubbery shrimp that didn't have much flavor aside from the flavor shrimp starts to pick up as it gets older. It wasn't rotten or bad or anything, it just doesn't compare to the masterfully prepared shrimp of the old chef. They also used to make a kids quesadilla for $4(perfect for my little one) but when I ordered a kids quesadilla today, they made a full sized one and charged me $9.50 for it. It did not have very much cheese and the chicken inside it was extremely salty (to the point where my kiddo refused to eat it and I certainly can't blame him for it). The wet chimi my wife usually orders was reportedly just as good as usual 👍. I found the rice very different and much more bland, the corn was burnt(to the point where the inside of most kernals was dried out) and the large horchata was less than half the size it used to be and it tasted like it was from a mix and not hand made. As for prices, the wet chimi went up up in price by $4. The surf and turf burrito went down in price by $2, the horchata went down by $1(but was no longer family sharing size). I'm hoping that some of these things are just growing pains as the business changes hands, but I'm not holding my breath that it will ever go back to the way it was 😔

Bad customer service my order was skipped and only 4-5 shrimps in the SHRIMP COCKTAIL. Taste old and not good flavoring 👎👎🤮🤢 only thing fresh in it is the cilantro which makes it taste like something but not really. 0 star if possible . 20 min wait for this thing next time I’m get McDonald’s

This location is the best I have eaten at, and I’ve visited Los favoritos all over the valley. I’m not sure what it is, maybe it’s just the cooks..but the beans and rice here were so flavorful and tasty. I was sad I had to drive over 7miles or get here. but my food tasted so good by that point I didn’t even care. I’ll come back again and again. Sooo yummy! Thanks Los faves. You guys are awesome

I never tried that much bad tacitos (roll taco) before even the guacamole taste was terrible , actually tasteless, tacitos are was almost uncooked, price are too high for this quality. I’m sorry but I definitely not recommend this place!

Been going here for over 10 years, they remodeled and it’s a comfortable smaller restaurant with wonderful service! The cooks are literally amazing, my favorite thing to get is the California carne asada burrito, they LOAD it up with carne asada and its quality is great! Their red and green sauce has my favorite consistency and heat ratio. Their potatoes are also awesome!

Their bacon breakfast burrito is my favorite in the valley. It has so much bacon and such a good tortilla. Came out so hot and fresh. I get beans inside my breakfast burrito too, since they have the best beans and I can’t not get them every time I go there. The horchata is so good too. I’ve been going here for over 10 years and it’s always so good.

Carne Asada Taco Combo. Very good food at a fair price. Definitely will return for something different.

Los Favoritos is a favorite for my when craving mexican food. I would call it restaurant level food at take out prices. Everything is very tasty and high quality. They have a small dining area, but most of their customers take out. Highly recommend giving them a try you won't regret it.

Food was average. Small portions of actual food but lots of rice and beans and chips. Service was good. Getting into the parking lot was tricky.

Everyone is so friendly and the service was excellent. The food is fantastic with fresh salsa made daily and whole made tortillas and the queso is the best I ever had! It is my new favorite Mexican restaurant hands down.

I have been going to this location and coming here since I was like 5 years old and it was our favorite Mexican restaurant in town with generous portions. I have been getting the pollo con queso for over 20 years and it used to be massive, but every time I get it now it is smaller and smaller. Literally every single time it is smaller. The pollo con queso is literally half the size it was 10 years ago. That is outrageous. So the price goes up, but the size goes down? How is that fair? I understand raising the prices on the menu because the cost of supplies and produce are more expensive for you to run a restaurant, but making a product half the size it was before is unacceptable! And so many reviews on here are saying the same thing, then you go on and say that you didn’t reduce the size. Please don’t lie to your loyal customers that have been going to your place for over 20+ years. Very shady practice of raising the price but making your food portions smaller. Also, my family owns a restaurant that has been around for over 15 years and yes we have raised the prices on the menu because of inflation, but we have not and never will make the portions smaller. That is extremely shady and disrespectful to your loyal customers like us that have been there since you opened. And now lying to us by saying that the pollo con queso didn’t get smaller when it obviously has is not right. I am sad to say but after yesterday and the years of coming here since I was a child is over. I really hope you learn from this instead of continuing to lie to your customs that your food isn’t shrinking. This is coming from one restaurant owner to another restaurant owner. Do the right thing. Don’t lie to your loyal customers, because we are not blind when we see the size of something being half the size of what it used to be. And yes, raise the prices because of inflation to survive, but don’t also shrink the product. Listen to your loyal customers or else you will lose more like me. I wish you the best.

It’s the original. Very fiesta like. Food fantastic. Best margs queso and green corn tamales. Tacos too. Yes I love this place.

Good Service. Good atmosphere. Good food, however, my beef chimi seemed somewhat water logged. There was a clear liquid on my plate after cutting into it, could be a sign of a previously frozen product. I'm sure they do this to save time. It was still good, still ate it. Would recommend.

The food was excellent, as usual. Our server, Alma, was pleasant enough, just not very good. I ordered two identical meals. One to eat there, and the other meal to-go. We finished our meal and readied ourselves to go and asked for the to-go order. Alma neglected to place my order. We will be going back, just never sitting in Alma's section again.

Margaritas are delicious! Ceviche was OK, hence the 4 stars. Would have added more lime and had to spice it up as it tasted a bit bland. I ordered the chile rellenos, delicious! Rice was good, beans were OK. We also ordered birria tacos and surf and turf enchiladas…all of this was delicious!! The restaurant was crowded, and even a wait when we left. I had made reservations earlier, so this was a good move. Chips and salsa were also good! We will definitely be back!

Loved the restaurant and atmosphere. Our server was awesome, attentive and friendly, not overly hovering but somehow on point when we needed something she was there. The issue... The food. The taste was okay but never did I expect the food to be out in less than 5 minutes. Why is this a problem? Because that means all the food is pre-made...None of it's freshly made to order??? That in itself is disappointing. My husband's burrito was huge, he loved it. I ordered the taco Tuesday special. I liked the crispy tacos but would not order the soft taco again nor will either of us eat the rice or beans again as they were bland. The chips and salsa start comes with two types of chips, we enjoyed both and their salsa. We will try them again.

Great Happy Hour pricing and love the flour tortilla chips and salsa, but the best part about our visit was our server, Julie! Super attentive and observant - she even heard me mention to my friend that I would get her a Diet Coke while she ran to the restroom and came over and said "so one Diet Pepsi" before I even had the chance to order it. She was personable and made sure that we liked our dishes. The best customer service I've had in a while. Thanks, Julie!

My favorite part about this restaurant is the artwork. They are bold, beautiful and very interesting. I had the sweet tamales, too sweet for me, didn’t really care for them but my husband had enchiladas that were delicious and a margarita I tasted it that was good as well. Chips and salsa were good and John our waiter was great. I love the new blue and yellow outdoor patio chairs they really added a lot of pop to the patio. I WOULD RECOMMEND.

Everyone was amazing as soon as we walked in. My husband and I had the best conversations with Scott, who is a liquid magician. He made us custom margaritas. The food was absolutely delicious, too! I highly recommend this place.

The most difficult decision is in not ordering everything. Outstanding menu. I couldn’t decide so I asked my server to order for me. He went with Taco n’Madre and I was elated with the outcome. For one, I wouldn’t have chosen that on my own and I’m very glad he did. The ribeye was tender and delicious. The experience of oscillating between fork and knife and hand folds of the tortilla brought me closer to the food. Tasty house margaritas too. You could come here every day of a week and have a different culinary adventure

Had my birthday dinner here with my husband and our experience was great. We had the best server, Melo. She made our night super special and even when we ordered one of the fun shots on the menu, she brought them out with a sparkler. The enchiladas were also fantastic! Will come back again the next time we are in town. Thank you Melo!

Came her with a friend for happy hour. We really enjoyed the food, drinks, and service! Only note I have is the happy hour prices are a few dollars off the regular price menu. For example, the happy hour marg was $15 instead of the $17.

Everything I ordered at Call Her Martina was gluten-free—and I never even made it past the appetizer menu because the starters were that good. I had two orders of the Carne Asada nachos and the queso dip, and both were absolutely incredible. The nachos were loaded and flavorful, and the queso was rich and addictive. The vibe is a perfect mix of classy and fun, with stylish interior design and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Plus, their happy hour menu runs all summer, which makes it even more of a go-to spot. I’ll definitely be back—and next time, I might try to make it to the entrées.

I’m a very picky eater and let me tell you!!! I had the best dessert I have had in a long, long time. All the food was incredible, the service was top notch, the vibes were amazing too! I’m coming back for sure for the churros!

Service is good, good menu for meat, sea food and traditional mexican food including authentic desserts like the home made flan. Mocktails like "Mexico en la Piel" is a fresh mix of "jamaica" (hibiscus) with orange and lime juice and a spicy taste. Being a mexican place margaritas "paloma" couldn't be missed on the menu. Quesabirria and cochinita tacos are a good choice.

Restaurant week, great opportunity for my friend and I to try a new place for MX food. I made Opentable Saturday 6:15 dinner reservations for 2. Upon arrival, we saw a nice patio seating area, when entering, the atmosphere was pleasant. The place was occupied with several small tables and booths. No hostess, it just starting to get busy as they were getting a party of 12 settled in which the hostess was helping. Finally we were seated. Stephanie our server introduced herself, very nice. She gave us some time to decide on our drinks. As I notice she was the only server taking orders. We got her attention as I wanted to put our order for cocktails and food in before the table of 12 did. We ordered off the "restaurant week" menu plus margaritas. We were given chips, salsa and a bean dip. The margaritas were excellent. We ordered another round, by now our guacamole appetizer came. I noticed a table of 5 came in followed by another table of 8. By this time Stephanie was all over the place. Our dishes were not being cleared by the young men working there. My friend's sides came for his fajitas, then waited for some time before his beef fajitas were delivered. In the meantime I'm putting our empty margarita glasses, guacamole bowl and extra plates on the empty table next to our because no on is clearing dishes. My friend did not want to start until my chicken fajitas came. We waited and waited and saw the table of 12 were getting food along with people getting take out. It got to the point I hailed down the hostess to please check on my chicken fajitas. Finally my sides and dish were delivered. I even notice that the table next to us with 2 women were thoroughly getting annoyed for the lack of attention. We ate and at this time, I requested boxes to take my leftovers home and that we were ready for desert. At this point Stephanie is really running around servicing the 12 and 8 table. My friend and I waited and waited literally 20 mi. until I flagged down Stephanie and told her I wanted our desserts to go and our bill. We got the bill but again had to wait and 15 minutes for the desserts. The women next to us we complaining to us about the lack of service. On the up side, the guacamole was very good, chunks of avocado and a nice touch warming up the chips. Salsa could have been spicier, and I did ask for their hottest sauce they had on the side and that was excellent. Margaritas were excellent. Both chicken and beef chicken fajitas plus all the sides were excellent. Our take home desserts were just thrown into boxes at this point, 4 churros no ice cream. The brownie in the box with a container of ice cream. Though my friend did say the brownie was really good. So what started out as a very enjoyable dinner that we were looking forward to, ended up leaving me extreme annoyed at the lack of service. I have my doubts to revisit just for that reason. Atmosphere: nice, simple, indoor and patio seating. Service: poor (lack of servers). Food: very good.

Found this while looking for a good fish taco restaurant for my mother-in-law. What an awesome find for us. She had her fish and I had a hankering for enchiladas. She loved the ahi ahi special and my chicken enchiladas were one of the best I have ever had. They allowed me to have all three sauces on the three enchiladas, which was the best tasting combo. See pic. They also sat us in a table location we wanted but it was in front of a door. They simply said no problem we will just lock this door and direct people to the front. This, among the great service is why I gave them the highest rating.

This place was amazing! Hidden little spot in the quiet areas of Scottsdale. Lots of parking, to begin with. We were greeted nicely and got a table so quick even though we didn’t have a reservation. My husband tried the Oaxaca old fashioned, I had a sip and it tasted good, to me an old fashioned has to have a single cube or is not an old fashioned but flavor wise was good. I had THE BEST tasting food ever. I asked our server for a recommendation and she recommended the “cochinita pibil” and it was DELICIOUS! I wish I could eat more of that. It’s so good, the flavors are all there and the meat was so tender! The pickled onions and guacamole in the side were a great addition and the corn tortillas tasted so fresh. My husband had a “Al pastor bowl” and it tasted really good too. I think you can’t go wrong with anything here. Next time visiting Scottsdale we will be back and recommend it! Also, bathroom were very clean and aesthetically pleasing. One little thing, the restaurant felt a little warm but I do understand that Arizona is just hot.

Came to El Carbòn since we were in the area, and absolutely loved it. Would definitely make the 40 minute drive to eat here again. As you sit down they bring you chips, salsa and bean dip. Their salsa and bean dip was incredible. We ordered a traditional margarita and the carne asada tacos from their happy hour menu. We also ordered the carne asada quesadilla off the traditional menu. The food came out very hot and you can tell the carne asada was high quality and fresh. The bartender was also serving all the tables. Although he was extremely busy with the bar and tables he insured we were happy with our food and drinks that came out. I have already recommended this place to friends in the Scottsdale area. We will definitely be back when we are in the area!

WOW! If you are tired of the same flavorless offerings other Mexican restaurants are putting forward, and you want some REAL FOOD, YOU NEED TO TRY EL CARBON! The cochinita pibil (slow cooked pork) and the mezcalita (the grown up version of a margarita, but with Mezcal instead of boring tequila) will make you wish you tried these dishes at birth. Stop eating predictably boring and unimaginative flavorless food: El Carbon is the real deal and you’ll be glad you tried it!

We had just arrived in Arizona for our holiday. My goal was to have a great authentic Mexican meal for our first dinner. Obviously the hotel recommended a very touristy place which we chose not to use. I spent a great deal of time looking through various restaurants, and in the end landed. At El Carbon’s. It did not disappoint! The food was fresh, not over spiced, or too salty. Before I even pulled up my chair to the table and the complementary chips and salsa and bean dip were already in front of us. Chips were light and crispy. . Service was excellent, Very attentive. It was still happy hour, (4-6) so I took advantage of the seven dollar cocktail, on old fashioned, which was better than any upscale drink bar. Our entrées were the Seabass fish dish which was prepared beautifully side of rice and roasted vegetables, and a traditional pork dish that had some nice unusual flavors, nice sides and presentation, enough for takeaways lunch for today. If you are looking for a scratch kitchen experience and a nice atmosphere. This is the place. We lucked out with a great and memorable meal to start our vacation.

THE CHIPS…. Oh my did it start off on a great note here! I love a house made salsa and this one was exceptional. The food was soooo good too, my partner and I couldn’t even wait to take a photo it was so mouthwatering we just had to did in. Do not skip out on this place it’s amazing and the service was pretty fantastic too.

I went with a group of friends to have dinner on a Wednesday evening, there were 10 of us so we made a reservation. When we arrived we had to wait 20 minutes for our table. And then it took 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Our server was very nice, but when she brought our appetizers (we ordered 2 of the fundido sauce and chips), she failed to bring any appetizer plates out for us. Someone eventually asked and she brought them. I ordered the chicken fajitas, and while they were good, they were nothing special for me. Though two people ordered the pollo fundido and raved about it. Most entre items seemed to range in price from $18-$23 The atmosphere was the best part of the evening. The outdoor seating by the pond with the ducks and turtles and lush surroundings is unique and fun (though noisy as well). There are large outdoor ceiling fans for the warm evenings. Love the ambience at this restaurant.

Had the most wonderful lunch here with family yesterday. It was such a warm and inviting, cheerful place. Our waitress (so sorry I can’t remember her name but we were a table of 6 sat at a window by the turtle pond around 2 pm on 7/14/25!) was lovely! So nice and friendly and chatty with us. The food was SO good. We are from Nj and get to see this part of our family, who lives locally, once a year if we are lucky. Our experience at El Encanto made us forget all about the fact we were on our way to the airport! We were not rushed, it was just a happy, leisurely, joyful meal. Truly a unique and special place.

Great place to eat and enjoy the views of turtles swimming and laying out in the sun either from the patio or inside. Service was great. Food was amazing. Salsa very fresh and yummy.

Visited El Encanto Mexican restaurant, while in Arizona. The restaurant was nicely decorated, appeared clean, had a pond view. The food and service were ok. The tamales were dry and lacked flavor. One of the tamales was sweet. Did not like at all, but that's my preference as I prefer savory. The Ceviche was also dry, did not have sauce, the steak tacos were good and flavorful. The guacamole was good but needed more lime and salt. The service was mediocre, waiter was not attentive, expected better service. Try it, may be better service. Not sure if I would return.

Top tier service, food, drinks, & experience! Our server was on point! The server took care of 30 witches on her own! Our order was quick, food came out quick, & no waiting on or paying our bills! Literally this chick/server must be one of their best if not the best! This restaurant should be on EVERYONEs go to, if in Cave Creek!

The apps and refreshers drinks are good. We got the hangover one! I like the edamame dumplings. We did the order 2 combo. I didn’t love the Korean noodle bowl. It was so strong. Strong pickle or fish oil flavor

Friendly staff and quality food. The cheeseburger was excellent. Better than most ‘non healthy’ restaurants. They cook the meat to your desired temperature. The edamame dumplings are in a mushroom broth that tastes like beef broth to me. Also very tasty. They have a $19 lunch special where you get two food items and a drink.

True Food is consistently great. The food is fresh and flavorful—I always get the Korean bowl with chicken, and it never disappoints. My friend had the pizza and said it was one of the best in town. Hannah was our server and took such good care of us. The manager, also named Hannah, is always so warm and welcoming—she brings such a positive energy to the restaurant. Between the friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, and delicious, healthy food, it’s easy to keep coming back.

Was once high quality but have noticed a decline in the past year. I frequently order the to go sides from this location but the past few orders have been disappointing. The past three times the hot food has been cold and this most recent time was the worst. I ordered a side of beef like I normally do and it was not only cold but it was full of fatty pieces and I didn’t even get full steak pieces it was like crumbs.

Delicious spot located in the heart of Scottsdale Quarter. Have been here a few times and have always enjoyed it. You can definitely taste the quality of the meals at True Food! They have a good menu with a ton of variety on it. Portions are good sizes too. Since you're in Scottsdale, it is a little pricey. They do have a good happy hour though! Recently, I had their Jambalaya Pasta and it was excellent. Paired it with a Spicy Mango Margherita that had the perfect kick to it. Very good! Sitting on the patio gives a great option for people watching and enjoying the ambiance of the plaza. If you're in the area and looking for a healthier option, I'd give True Food a try!

We’ve been going to True Food for 10 years because it was always a reliable balance of price and quality. But everything has changed this year. And believe me, after a decade of dining here, I can confidently say that. First of all, we stopped dining in at the restaurant because just getting a server to come take our order takes 20–25 minutes. Then, waiting for the food has become unbearable — last time we had to ask for it to be packed to-go because it was taking too long, even though we still left a tip. Because of that, we started ordering through Uber Eats. There were always minor issues — like an overly greasy sauce or burnt edges on the pizza — but we tried to overlook them because we were used to this restaurant. However, today was the final straw. I ordered delivery for my kids, and the Kids Chicken Teriyaki Bowl was absolutely awful. Do you even clean your grill? The food absorbed all the leftover grime from it — the smell and appearance were disgusting. Knowing this dish is meant for children, it’s shocking that no one considered how unsafe it is. A child could get seriously sick from food like that. The Phoenix location still seems to maintain a decent standard, but the Scottsdale location has gone downhill. Last time, the edamame dumplings were overcooked, and the hummus wasn’t what it used to be. I’ve noticed that when the manager is present, the team works well. But the moment the manager is gone, both the servers and kitchen staff seem uninterested in doing their job. You seriously need to reconsider who you have working there.

The best experience, food and service I've had in a long time. Sad but true. Every plate was greatly put together and flavors all complimented each other. I would have had dessert but there was no way I could fit any more food in my belly and there was no way I was packing it to go. It was too good for the next day microwave. Absolutely not.

Second visit and food was amazing just like my first experience! Their chopped salad was my personal favorite and their menu seems to have been updated since my last visit so I tried a few more new dishes like short ribs, zaatar cauliflower, and beef stroganoff. As for the atmosphere, it was a bit dark for photos and noise level was pretty high during the evening. Would come back for the chopped salad and pasta menus!

Huge shout out to Caylen (manager) and Ryan (chef) for making our anniversary special. I left a note on my reservation mentioning the special occasion. I wasn’t expecting much, but they over delivered in every way. They gave us the best table, a special note saying happy anniversary, and best of all… the chef made us a special dessert that’s not on the menu. A plum pudding, made just for us because plums are in season. Everything was impeccable and Canley personally ensured our experience was fantastic. I can’t recommend citizen public house enough, and we will be coming back regularly.

We were enjoying our Sunday between going to the Museum of Contemporary Art a few blocks away and the Bavarian festival. We stopped at Citizen public house for some snacks and drinks with our baby. We found the staff to be very accommodating and it was kid friendly. We mostly ordered happy hour snacks and drinks to check out the restaurant and it beyond exceeded our expectations. We cannot wait to go back and try more menu items. The place has a luxurious, relaxing vibe. Everyone was friendly. We highly recommend.

Classic atmosphere, and the food was fire! That's how this place is. It's like the place your dad takes you to on your birthday when you're 15 and he wants tontreat you like a man. Or the place he takes you at 22 after no one showed up to the 1st party you threw. It's the place your dad loves and brings you there because he: a) has no clue what you like, and b) he loves you unconditionally. Audra made me this amazing Old Fashioned, and there's nothing old fashioned about it. That's why I'm posting. The food was amazing, but the friendliness from Audra is why I'm posting this comment. Audra made me a classic twist on a classic cocktail. The dark chocolate cherry old fashioned. It still tastes like an old fashioned, but this drink is all new to me. Chocolate bitters and cherries update the classic to a fun after dinner cocktail. The chocolate and cherries come through; their presence in the cocktail is undeniable, and it still tastes like a classic Old Fashioned. Bravo Audra! Thank you for the experience.

We attended the last night of Chefs Week and were rewarded with a impeccable 3 course dinner. The Scottsdale famous Stetson salad as well as the pork shank were amazing.

Asian chicken salad was fresh and delightful! Really enjoyed the crispiness of the lettuce and the subtle flavors of the dressing. Dining area was packed at lunchtime and the noise level inside made it a bit difficult to have a conversation. Tables were also very close together. We thought about switching to the outdoor patio which was quieter and tables appeared further apart, but at that point our food had already been served and we just adapted to the situation. Overall, enjoyable and upscale dining!

I went to the Greenhouse for Lunch, they had a few gluten-free options and I ultimately ordered the sea bass and it was delicious! I also had a Greyhound mixed drink and the grapefruit in it tasted fresh squeezed! The ambiance was energized but not overly loud and the service was excellent. I intend to go there again.

Got there just before closing. Sat us no problem, no complaints. Ordered wedge and spilt between 2...it was PLENTY. Ordered Salmon and the Niman Ranch skirt steak. The salmon was perfectly done and just fresh as can be. One of the best pieces of salmon I've had in awhile. The Niman Ranch skirt steak is just a beautiful dish. Steak cooked perfectly and extremely flavorful....outstanding. But it wasn't just the steak the veg that comes with it were just stunning. Sugar snap peas, mushrooms and onions were an amazing blend of taste and texture. Not just a plate filler, truly complimented the meal. Service was crisp, efficient, professional and not the least bit cloying. Just a delightful meal.

Stopped in for a casual quick meal while shopping at Kierland. Didn’t disappoint. Service was quick, food was fresh and hot, and seemed like good quality. They have a cute patio to enjoy when the weather is cooler or sit inside for an “on vacation” vibe. Prices were super reasonable, nothing overpriced here. Had the chicken club and it was very good. Iced tea was a tropical infused flavor black tea so no sweetener needed. Definitely recommend and will absolutely go back.

The pot pie was exquisite! Flaky crust, arrived in a cast iron skillet piping hot! The flavors were so GOOD! It was fulled with carrots, mushrooms, white tender chicken - in a cream type of sauce…BEST I have ever eaten! I highly recommend ordering this dish!! Very very delicious and it stayed piping hot the whole time I was eating it! My husband got the braised short ribs and he loved his dish too — this restaurant knows how to make their food flavorful!! The hummus appetizer super flavorful as well!! Love that when restaurants know how to really make culinary art good dishes!! Love!

If I could give it ten stars, I would! My friend and I sat at the bar and had the Braised Short Rib and Sweet Potato Ravioli. We both agree our entrees were absolutely superb! Delicious!! And the atmosphere was fun, comfortable, and lively. Don't miss this restaurant when you are in Scottsdale!

I was thoroughly impressed. Top notch food. Drinks, service...atmosphere, ALL on point. 10 out of 10. I enjoyed it so much on my own, that I brought my fiance back later the same weekend.

We had a spectacular time at AZ 88. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable! The drinks are served in glasses large enough to bathe in....I kid but they are definitely biggie size. We ordered flatbread and dragon chicken wings and were satisfied. The ambiance was nice. Interesting highlight, the bathrooms are out of this world. Make sure you see the restrooms when you visit. We went during happy hour on a Thursday night and there were many parties there but not over crowded. I heard it can get pretty busy on the weekends so plan accordingly. I would definitely visit again and highly recommend it.

Ate dinner here before going to a concert at the Scottsdale Center. Were seated right away around 5:45 pm, but shortly after it got much busier. The music was maybe a tad loud, but at least it doesn't feel like you're eavesdropping on your neighbors. I had Elsa's chicken, which was delicious. Had the key lime tart for dessert, which I'd highly recommend. Our waitress was great. The restrooms are at the back, with the signage on the tall doors being just above the floor, so you can't see it until you're very close. Maybe that was done for aesthetics, but quite a few people got confused.

I was craving a cheeseburger and remembered going to AZ88 in my younger days. It did not disappoint! The cheeseburger is still one of my favorites in Phoenix, and the drinks are amazing. Since I had a beer I had to steal some sips from my family. This place is phenomenal.

Such a vibe! Stopped in for a drink, the place is beautiful, the bartenders were attentive and fun and make great cocktails. I wish we could have stayed for food, but will absolutely be back!

We just love AZ88 for its artistic journeys during every experience. The burger is the choice with great service and what we call infinity pool martinis! A must when visiting Old Town Scottsdale!

The vibe gives luxurious Palm Springs while being laid back and welcoming. The espresso martini with tequila hits the spot and the AZ88 salad is a must try.

The ambiance is better than the food here - the loaded nachos were great, but the crab cakes were disappointing. I would’ve loved to sit outside, and it would have been nice if the food didn’t take over 30 min to arrive… The waiter too was nice but a little clumsy with serving our table, between forgetting to fill our waters and us feeling unattended to throughout our meal. We also got charged with queso and dip while it was almost implied it’d be free with our meal.

Me and my family went here for dinner. My drink - prickly pear margarita was very good. We ordered blue corn enchiladas, vegetarian enchiladas, and pork stew. My fily member definitely recommends the stew out of all of these. Food was decent, but the atmosphere was very nice. Service was okay, and food took 10-15 minutes.

Carlsbad tavern is a very casual, very comfortable place to go for dinner and drinks. But here's the really strange thing - the food is amazing! You just wouldn't imagine these delicious recipes at a "Tavern." I keep ordering the cowboy meatloaf. I know, meatloaf - no - the flavors and the New Mexico Mexican influence. You'll be shocked at how good it all is. The service is always super friendly and just normal people who enjoy their customers and are proud of their place and food.

Great New Mexican in very cool setting. Not sure why I never tried this place. Nothing I like more than a New Mexican enchilada. I guess it was because it’s a bit pricier and close to my nostalgic favorite: Frank & Lupe’s. Well, sadly, they are closed after 30+ years - but as they say, when one door closes… The stacked enchiladas here are amazing. Odd combo of both adovada pork and hatch chile chicken in the same stack, but it works! It’s spicy without burning you face off and just generally well-prepared. The service is friendly and informal. The place fits the name. It’s definitely a tavern feel. Gotta try happy hour here some time! They also have an amazing patio setup. Will be reserving a table when it’s not a bazillion degrees outside. Definitely worth a try!

Great service and atmosphere. Reasonably priced. However, not exactly what you would expect from a "traditional" New Mexican restaurant in that chips and salsa weren't automatically served when sitting down and they also charged extra for sopapillas which were half the normal size of a sopapilla and they put powered sugar on top of them which isn't normal. And the black beans they served with my dish, while good, was more nouveau style that you would find in some upscale restaurants in Santa Fe and Taos rather then the traditional pinto beans. The stacked enchiladas were tasty.

The food was excellent — I had the nachos, and they were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was eclectic and fun, full of great energy. The service was kind and professional. My server made a special drink and described it as “a vacation in a glass,” and it truly was! If you’re looking for something similar to a piña colada, definitely ask for that one.

Lovely spot in Scottsdale. Tucked away in a little courtyard, I sat on the patio and enjoyed the asparagus with tzatziki and the lamb dumplings. Both were light, perfectly balanced - in fact, just perfect. I finished off with their butterscotch pudding which is apparently a permanent fixture on the menu. They also have great local wines, and the service was quick and attentive. This is great food and wine, so in my view it’s reasonably priced. Thanks for a lovely evening, FnB. 😊✨

This restaurant is absolutely wonderful and well worth the visit! We booked a reservation (which requires a deposit) but our flight was delayed. We called and they were so kind and accommodating for us. We were very glad we were able to make it work because the food and service was phenomenal. We ordered the green salad, potato buns with duck fat, and pork chops with seasonal squash. Every bite was full of flavor and the pork chop was the most tender pork chop I’ve ever had. This restaurant is a must stop for your next Scottsdale visit!

FnB is truly amazing, it deserves to be Michelin rated. The food is so creative and made with such high quality, consistently across all dishes. The vegetable-forward cuisine is completely unique, with incredible blends of flavors that pull from different influences but clearly have a very distinctive style of Chef Charleen Badman. The care to balance flavor, visual, and texture is honestly second to none, and we eat out a lot! It is artistry, and the intimate but easy ambience has made every visit a memorable experience. The entire staff is engaging and very competent, this restaurant hits on all cylinders.

Food is surprisingly nice. Especially like the source for the carrot which blended very well with the nuts. Egg plant and Okra are also tasting great. Okra matched very well with curry. It is because Pork has been sold out tonight, it has been changed to steak. Wao, the steak was amazing. Appreciated alot the vegetable portion in each dish. This restaurant really serves good food!

First meal in Phoenix, just astonishing. Local crops mix with new flavours, the taste is so new and amazing. We 3 ordered 4dishes of veggies, 3dishes of meat, and 2 dessert, I chose to not recommend any dish solely, cuz the menu are changing monthly. All I can say all 9 of my order are truly amazing. Even better than some of the Michelin 3stars’ Issac keep checking on us, making sure the flow won’t be too fast, Washroom are clean, paper handkerchief in good quality, shampoo is aromatic P.S. the ginger beer(non-alcoholic) is just so good, as a ginger beer guy, this is the best ginger beer iml

Cant believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. Absolutely phenomenal. If you're in town you have to go! I can't say enough great things. Veggie forward menu with some meat options as well. I promise you've never had vegetables prepared this well. The staff is great, HEY MILES, and people seem to like working here which you don't always see. The menu changes often so I won't comment on what we had but every time we come to town we visit and it has all been delicious. Easily the best restaurant in town and one of my favorites in the whole country! Go now, stop reading and treat yourself!

Seated outside in the courtyard and atmosphere was great. Focaccia bread, roasted squash and steak were the standouts. Sea bass was fishy and did not taste that fresh. Chocolate date cake was a bit dry.

My wife and I visited this hidden gem for breakfast. The place is well located next to a main avenue with direct access from it. It offers indoor and patio sitting. Inside they have a full bar with premium liquors. The bar also features screens for watching sports. We had the tamales with eggs and the two sauces it is served with were delicious! The hostess and the waitress were very attentive and the waitress even spoke spanish. We also ordered the zucchini and hazelnut bread with pink butter, simply delicious.

Cold food, bad quality, not worth the wait. The food here was a major letdown. Cold French toast, cold fried steak—nothing came out hot or fresh. And for what we waited, the quality was no better than a typical Denny’s or IHOP. Totally underwhelming and absolutely not worth the hype. We showed up at 11 a.m. for brunch and saw a big crowd outside. The lady at the front told us it would be a 30-minute wait, We got seated, placed our order, and after that, the waiter came back and said *after we had already ordered—he casually mentioned the food was on an hour-long delay. Seriously? That’s something the host should’ve told us upfront. We would’ve left and eaten somewhere else by then. Our food finally hit the table at 1:30 p.m.—cold. The French toast came plain—just toast on a plate. We asked for butter, and the waiter said it doesn’t come with any but could bring it on the side. If not for the toast, what’s the butter even for? I can only assume this place stays busy because it’s in the middle of nowhere, where there aren’t many other options. If it were in Midtown or any area with more choices, I doubt it would be half this crowded. I don’t recommend it and won’t be back.

We recently moved to Scottsdale very near Soul Cafe. This amazing restaurant out performs on every level but ESPECIALLY brunch! My personal favorite is the “Too Good to be True” - but honestly, everything on the menu is fantastic! The staff is also top-notch! I absolutely recommend Soul Cafe!

We are foodies, and have a few rules on vacation. No chains, and no going to the same place twice. We hadn’t even finished our meal, and we made a reservation for later this week :) My wife had the surf & turf ravioli, and I had the mexiloaf. Both were absolutely amazing. I never take food pics, and I did tonight :) The service was equally amazing. Friendly, and helped us to navigate a menu with multiple offerings that made our mouths water. Hence the repeat visit later this week. The restaurant itself has a pretty cool vibe, without being too foo-foo sheeshy.

The food is good. I love the birria tacos and the quesadillas too. The queso with the meat is great. They do put a little too much salt on the chips but I guess you just drink more margaritas that way. Their happy hour makes it easy to have 3 lol, it’s from 3-6pm The service is always great and yesterday there was a young lady that took care of us very professional and with a great attitude. Totally recommend this place. Specially for a dinner after work or a nice spot for Mexican food.

Loved the experience here after a long time we found a place with a vibe similar to a favorite spot we used to go to regularly. The food was really good and the drinks. Service was great. And I should mention this location is way better than the one on mill ave.

I actually really like this place. The Mexican food may not be the most authentic food in the world but service is fast, the taco Tuesday deal is phenomenal with a good selection of options and I always leave satisfied. 3 bucks fish tacos with two types of fish!? 3 bucks margs I think. Count me in. Rice is rlly good too which compliments the tacos - I got 3 - 2 fish and one chicken tinga with a marg and I think my bill was like 20 maybe. Comes with great chips with really good salsas. Vibes are great.

We came here for lunch while on a trip and it did not disappoint. We got the steak tacos, ground beef tacos, and coconut shrimp tacos - all were delicious! Our server Kyleigh was great as well.

Slightly unfair review warning as we never got to try the food which is why we came. But the server outside last night has no business working in the service industry. For context, all tables are seat yourself as long as they are cleared. Our group arrived and looked for a spot on the patio. The three open tables were all dirty, naturally we hit the bar to order a round in anticipation of snagging a table and enjoying dinner and drinks. After we had ordered at the bar a server came over and told us she just cleared our table and that we “can’t order drinks at the bar since she already cleared that table”…. I naturally suggested we just transfer the bill to the table but apparently neither the bartender or the server with happy with that idea. I asked the bartender what he wants to do, and he said it’s would be better to just settle the tab with him after asking “if I’ve ever been to a bar before”. And like everyone, yes we have. And if you know the service industry it’s common practice for servers to tip out bartenders, hosts, and support staff at the end of the night. We’re talking a tip of maybe $8 for drinks that’s causing some friction here. Off to be a bad start with the attitude from this waitress and a bartender that needs to reconsider his people skills. Fast forward, we sit down with our drinks party of six ready for dinner. Waitress goes to the table to our left, table to our right and after five minutes came over. Hard to describe someone’s attitude and tone but it was clear she wasn’t happy. She asked if we wanted to order food, which we did. Again, this was a rude, I’m annoyed tone. We asked for waters and after I she chose to roll her eyes and walk away we immediately said let’s bounce. Why would any establishment employ people like this in the service industry? Generally failures like this are reflective of bad managers and GMs. I don’t fault the bartender or server as some people are just not built for the service industry and have never had a leader help them realize their personalities don’t reflect the responsibility associated with serving people. Should management read this, you probably know exactly who this server is and who the bartender is. Act with intention, as I’m sure I’m definitely not the only one you’ll never see again. Do better.

This place looked awesome from photos of all the decorations at Christmas. I kept wanting to try it. I was disappointed. Parking is tight. The place is 2 small rooms. Some tables with half booth. Long table seating and a bar with 4 TVs. The floor is cracked. The booths were duct taped. Table has this coating like shelf paper that kept catching on my arm. They charge for chips and salsa. We like trying new things so we gave it a go. The glasses and silverware looked dirty. (Check out photos). I did like the little carafes they put the soda in. Guacamole tasted store bought. The queso dip tasted like canned cheese with pico de Gallo on top. It was about the best thing we tasted. They have expensive out of the normal tacos like beer battered avocados. 🥑 1 for $7 something. It tasted mushy and no flavor. I tried another with cheese and steak that I ended up just eating the meat out of. Street corn had no chili powder, no mayo it was just cheese on top of corn!! Burrito was bland with that canned cheese taste. I am in the top 10% reviewer of Mexican restaurants in the area. This has the decorations but not the taste. 👎

Salt and Lime absolutely nailed the holiday spirit with their Christmas theme! The decorations were over-the-top festive and completely immersive—think twinkling lights and creative Christmas-themed touches at every turn. The food, as always, was fresh, flavorful, and packed with bold Mexican flavors. We were sadly one day too early for the Christmas cocktails, but their regular cocktails were really good too. The staff were in the holiday spirit, adding to the cheerful vibe, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming—perfect for celebrating the season with friends and family. If you’re looking for great food and festive vibes, this bar is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back next year!

Cool spot to get some good Mexican food and sip on a margarita or cold beer. We stopped in for the first time and sat at the bar. Friendly service, seems like the locals were hanging out there as well. Had to start with the queso fundido which has rave reviews on Google - both chips and queso dip were great. Then on to delicious Crispy Potato Taquitos piled with refried beans, lettuce, pico, queso fresco and topped with crema. We also tried the Carne Asada Burrito with black beans, queso Oaxaca, cabbage, crema and guac. Both entrées were served with rice and your choice of refried beans, black or charro beans. Lots of food, and presentation was good. We will definitely be back to try the margs and tacos which were strongly suggested by our server.

An overall average dining experience. The over the top decorations were cool. Unfortunately, the food and service were a bit of a letdown. I did like the chips and salsa.

Salt and Lime is a nice little Mexican place with good food and good atmosphere. Cool spot for a Happy Hour. Went there for a lunch with my wife and had chips and salsa, guacamole, soup and 1 taco, (no drinks) and it was $42. The guacamole was $15 in a salsa bowl. While it was very good the pricing is out of line. The carnitas taco was great and was priced at $7.95, good value. A senior lunch shouldn't cost $42 before tip without drinks. This explains why we were the only ones in eating in the place. We like this place and would like to see it prosper!

Food was good, nothing to write home about. Service was slow, even to get seated... Maybe we hit it on a bad day? We had fish tacos and fajitas. Fish tacos were good, a la carte ordering, but had too much of the mayo sauce for our liking. Fajitas were tasty and filling. They have super crunchy chips served with salsa. The salsa had a smokey flavor, again not fully to our liking but good. Lots of TV's if you like to be able to watch sports. Staff was very friendly.

First time visit to this restaurant. Was told it’s been there for 19 years! Stopped in for lunch and noticed they had a special. Chips and salsa were delicious along with the ultimate burrito special. I got mine in a bowl. Adriana, our server did a fantastic job, she was very attentive and informative. We will definitely be back for more excellent Mexican food! Thank you!

The service was good, nice atmosphere. I ordered shrimp street tacos and it came with rice and beans. The rice was overcooked and gummy, the beans were kind of bland. The shrimp was extremely salty inside the tacos. I tried to use the spicy sauce to wash out the salt but it didn't help much. We ordered the regular queso dip for a starter and while it was good, it had spinach in it and it tasted more like a spinach dip rather than a traditional queso dip...I asked the waiter prior to ordering what was in it and he only said pico so we ordered it...my son hates spinach so I wouldn't have ordered it if we knew. My son ordered some kind of chicken taco and he enjoyed them. He did a double ordered so he could have two. I would give them another try but would order something different next time.

Nice little spot. Went for a weekday lunch. The food was delicious and came out very quickly. Excellent chips and salsa. Enchiladas, rice, and beans were all top tier. I would definitely return.

I’ve tried the veggie options at this place, including the veggie enchiladas and simple tacos, and both have never disappointed me. The flavour profile is great, and the side dishes like beans and rice are also nice. They even serve chips and salsa at the same time, and their salsa is probably the best I’ve ever tried.

I was in town visiting my family, and we were going to try a different Mexican restaurant in Cavecreek but it was closed so we decided to try this place instead. My brother and I both ordered the Carnitas Chili Relleno. It was one of the best I have ever had. They were kinda stingy with the chips and salsa, but they are good. I would come again.

We had a great dining experience at Hacienda. I had the pork carnitas and they were made exactly how I like them. Not too dry and seasoned well! Portions in my opinion were decent and drinks were well made with a good amount of alcohol. Service was also excellent, waitress checked on us a few times! Gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because the restaurant itself can use a little updating. Women’s bathroom had a funky smell and booth seats had wear and tear…including some colored duct tape to keep leather seat in place. If you haven’t been here in awhile, go give them another try!

Was on vacation in Arizona and stopped to eat in this restaurant. Big with lots of room for big gatherings, and a nice outdoor patio. Good food and great attentive staff. We had nachos, shrimp tacos and beef empanadas and their spinach queso was great.

Had the chicken mole, great flavor and heat. Guacamole made table side. Wife said the enchiladas and the margaritas were tasty. Live music! Age appropriate. At least for us boomers.

Mediocre at best. Service is being generous. Coconut Shrimp were literally nothing more than deep fried shrimp... No coconut to be sure. Fajitas came out very hot and had a decent taste but no flavor. Service was almost non existent and there were only about 6 people in the restaurant. Good that one is off my bucket list... So I've gotta say....I ordered Hacienda's for the first time through door dash. I was watching my mom's dogs and was craving some good Mexican food. I went on yelp and they had good reviews so I figured I would try it. The food arrived super fast but when I got upstairs and checked the order I was so disappointed to find that they missed an entire plate. I called the restaurant and they were very apologetic and accommodating. I decided to drive over to the restaurant and pick it up. When I got there they had it ready and waiting and even gave me a free dessert. It was very nice of them! Once I got home, we finally ate! The food was amazing! The taste was spot on and quality was superb. I was very pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be back!

Was super excited to try this place and was super let down. ordered fajitas based on the waiter’s recommendation and they came to us bone dry. I think the waiter knew because we never even got the “how are the first few bites guys”. Service wasn’t great either but I can give them a break on that front considering everyone is short staffed - but I can’t excuse the food. Wish I would have checked their 3.3 rating before going - would have saved the trip.

Been 2X. Go with low expectations and you’ll come away happy. Chips are a mix of flour and corn. Hot salsa is hot which is nice. This location has the best atmosphere of the 3. Guac could have come from a package. Mole was OK. Fajitas had equal portions of onion and chicken. Nothing to write home about.

Food was not authentic anything, beans were from a can. Cocktails were delicious! Tortilla chips were home made we think. Too expensive for the type of food served. Atmosphere was beautiful!

Our server was fantastic, he was attentive to when we needed water, made our margaritas great. We went at a strange time so just got happy hour, did the sampler platter. Very very good. Our only gripe is things were a little spendy otherwise, but that's just these times we live in now. Would recommend this place!

This is a great spot or a happy drink and snack or meal. There is a really good happy hour menu and some interesting drinks. WE ate off the dinner menu. My wife had the fried fish tacos and loved them. I had the surf and turf combo which was good. I also added the Korean taco. Chef Roy Choi in LA has pretty much perfected the Korean Mexican fusion food and this was a far cry from that unfortunately. WE had a good time and the service was great. Highly recommend.

This was my first time sitting inside, and I’m so glad I did because Al was our bartender. He was absolutely fantastic! Super friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. My friend and I both work up the street at Backyard Desert Ridge, and we had such a great conversation with him. It’s the perfect spot for servers to unwind after a long shift, and Al made the whole experience even better. Great service, great vibe. Modern Marg is already one of my favorite places because of the food but the staff is equally as awesome!

Modern Margarita definitely has a good spin on Mexican food! Was craving tacos for lunch & wanted to try something new, our server Aaron seemed very familiar with the menu & gave amazing suggestions! We had the Elote Dip to start which was light & delicious then the tacos in order from favorite to least favorite would be Miso Carne, Nashville Hot Chicken, & the Korean Beef (but all were super good & just the right amount of flavor).. even the most simple things like the side of rice was tasty! We sat outside because it was a nice day out, but there’s also plenty of TVs if you’re trying to catch a game & grab some good food! Definitely plan on coming back soon..

Modern Margarita is a fantastic spot! The venue has a fun, trendy vibe. The food was super tasty, and the drinks were on point. What really stood out was how accommodating they were for my corporate event, and the price was reasonable, too. Definitely recommend checking it out!

Just stopped in for drinks, and, in the process, we ordered the nachos prior to going to the Arizona Jazz Fest down the street. Nothing fancy, the drinks are incredible, and the service is dope. The atmosphere is super chill and relaxed. The patio is nice and has great views of the bustling passers-by on High Street. There are lots of other establishments in the area to choose from, but you really can't go wrong with MM.

I had a fantastic time at Modern The food was delicious, the atmosphere was inviting, and the service was top-notch. A special shoutout to Al, my bartender, who really made the experience memorable. He was friendly, professional, and made some amazing drinks. You can tell he takes pride in what he does and genuinely cares about the guests

Great place for a quick bite. Warm chips and fresh salsa with every order is a nice touch. Had the chicken and ground beef taco and ground beef chimichanga. Everything was delicious but preferred the beef to the chicken.

Great food, but in a odd spot. Carne asada is delicious. Thick chunks of tender meat but still have that grill taste to it. Ordered two tacos a la carte and it was more than enough to fill me up. Prices are great specially for the area. It’s at the tail end of Scottsdale downtown, has limited parking but it was kind of empty so it wasn’t an issue. It is not the same vibe of all the other restaurants in the area. But more a laid back casual restaurant. Will definately be back when in the area

Ha! I rarely give 5 stars but this spot deserves it. Steve at the front of house was so much fun and came with great reccs. Love the warm chips, as advertised. Lunch pollo magnifico was insane - love the cream cheese under the cheese. Steve gave us some complimentary spinach con queso - thank you! Love the hospitality. Beef + carnitas were also excellent. The space itself keeps all the charm from the 80s and added some fun modern touches. Yummy margs for 4 bucks during happy hour. I’ll be thinking of this meal for a while.

Parking tips: Be patient when you drive up to park — small lot could be full or a maybe a few spots to find. You never know! Lunch specials (11am -4 pm)are great. I had the Lunch D. - LUNCH POLLO MAGNIFICO, below. On one visit I had shredded beef, this time chicken). Both were very good! Comes with rice and beans, for about $14. Excellent fresh chips and mild salsa, in mini cups. It comes with jalapeño cream cheese, but I asked for extra. That’s the best part! YUM! 😋Dining outside was very pleasant in April weather in the 80 degree temperature. They bring your order to your table outside. Great service. Steve, the head cashier, is very polite, welcoming, and remembered me (and my order!) on my second visit! I’ll be back sometime soon!

Great food that just melts in your mouth, worth the nonexistent wait because the service was so fast, and the atmosphere with pink neon lights was epic. Real mom and pop shop vibes here.

My family has eaten here for years, 2-3 times a month. Great service, even when they have their busy dinner rush. Always good food and it is consistently good. That being said recently it seems they started cutting the steak for the beef fajitas with the grain instead of against it. Sadly it completely changes the tenderness of the dish, literally a night and day difference. Please go back to the old way, please.

Food was okay. Beans and potatoes and tortillas don’t taste very good. Maybe the oil is overused, but I recommend skipping the carbs here.

This place is true to the authentic New Mexico cuusine. WE ARE From New Mexico and we can atest to the magnificent green and red hatch chili flavors all New Mexicans have grown up with. It was truly a home like feeling for us while we are here in Arizona. Thank you to the owner who was extremely welcoming .

Me and my father love this place. We have been loyal to this restaurant for over 20 years. The green chili smothered burrito is a staple every time we go. I hope you like it hot!

This was a first time visit and recommendation from my friends, friend. The food was delicious but the space is tight if you have a larger party. We had a party of 6 and a baby and it was a tight fit around the table for us. Aside from that, the food was delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meals and we were all sharing with one another and raving about how delicious it was. I would definitely return but would be more picky about where they seat us for a group of 6 or more.

I love all 3 of their locations in the Phoenix metro area and recommend all 3. The food hasn't disappointed yet and I have been a customer for over 25 years now. Their house margaritas are absolutely fantastic!! I do not have 1 favorite item here as I truly love everything they serve.

You wanna talk about authentic Mexican food with a spice to it this is definitely your spot. My wife don't like spicy food but she loves this spicy food that for sure. This is my 2nd to visit Mexican restaurant and I fall in love with this place!!! Me gusta 👍 . Love interior decorations so much. So cute, unique and stylish. All cute friendly service mind staffs who don’t hesitate to take care once you go inside. Get you drink, serve you with appetizer with 2 sauces (I don’t know the name) but taste so great. More over. Another dipping sauce made from avocado. I don’t like avocado but need to admit this one taste like heaven and can’t stop eating until main dish serve. Mine get spicy shrimps with homemade taco and rice. Not spicy to me at all but tasty and I love it. While my boss and customers get others that not spicy. All 4 dishes serve side dish with bean 🫘 . Taste also good but I’m not a fan of bean. So I didn’t eat all of them. I wish I could have more time to survey more because decorations are really interesting. Menu are various and define which one is spicy with this >🌶️ to let you know. Also vegan menu and keto menu available too. Dessert menu exists but we stuffed. So just take home pizza Will visit again to try more menu.

What a fun dining experience, the menu changes often and everytime there are new menu items to try. I was sad to see the amazing house made birria bao buns not on the menu but my new favorite is the pork belly tacos OMFG! We were there too celebrate and the DJ playing Latin jams and dancing disco 12ft robots made the evening unforgettable.

This is my favorite Mexican spot in Scottsdale absolutely delicious. Also an amazing place to have a birthday party. They have the table long quesadilla which is so yummy and the group just loves it and the towering churro cake with dips was so fun. Also, happy hour is amazing love the happy hour menu such a treat and such a good deal

Have driven by this place so many times, finally stopped in. Our hostess was Claudia, she was amazing. Gave us great descriptions and recommendations for all of us that cant make up our minds. The tacos were amazing, tried 3, potato ( probably the best one I think) chicken tinga and fish....all delicious. We also had the guacamole. Yum! To finish it off had the churro cart, melts in your mouth! Definitely will be back!!

This was our 1st visit and I was impressed with the food. Quality and creativity gets high marks. For Mexican food it seemed a bit pricey but it's just how it is to eat out now. The service was great and the food came out quickly. It was pretty low key, I had heard it was a party like atmosphere with music and dancers so I was a little disappointed for my birthday that it was pretty quiet but maybe the wrong night or the wrong time. Overall, I'd go back for special occasions

Fabulous place!!! Everything was delicious! There is nothing on the menu you can go wrong with in their selection. I didn’t even get a picture of all the dishes because we were hungry! Staff was amazing and the recommendations to our table were phenomenal.

Damn. This place was solid with the carne asada bowl. The carne asada had so much flavor perfectly seasoned . Perfect portion. I was able to go back to work and not feel all full. Can't wait to try something else

We ordered the cheese dip, Carnitas plate and sopapillas. We also had a Mexican Donkey( a mule with tequila). Our server was ver vice and made sure we had what we needed. The restaurant is small and full but we were seat quickly. We really enjoyed our meal and will return.

The food at Caliente Mexican Grill was authentic, and the service was fantastic 👌 and friendly, and the price was right on the mark for an up scale restaurant with plenty of parking. The Caliente Mexican Grill is right for a romantic dinner, but maybe not so much for a sports bar. I would recommend Caliente Mexican Grill for a nice lunch or dinner.

If I were to provide my top 5 favorite restaurants Caliente definitely ranks at the top! You cannot go wrong with anything you order on the menu. Shrimp quesadilla is absolutely amazing! Their chicken tastes heavenly and is of high quality. Their poblano sauce is so delicious. I could keep going on and on, but truly you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Also, don’t miss the specials! The owners and servers welcome you in just like family and are very attentive in their service. They definitely take pride in their restaurant and it shows! I love supporting this local spot and highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food!

We WISH they would build one in Salt Lake. The food was outstanding, the service was amazing, we cannot say enough good about our experience here. We visit the area often and will absolutely be back. Btw - we had steak and chicken enchiladas(one plate with red sauce and one with pablano sauce), steak quesadillas, hard shell beef tacos, chips and salsa, and plata Al la Mexicana. It was all DELISH.

I'll start by saying the service and presentation and ambience were wonderful. I had high hopes for the food as well. Unfortunately meat was very tough, extremely salty. No one was overly thrilled by the taste at our table, which was a shame given the other high reviews given. I'm keeping it at 4 stars because of the positive qualities above. Definitely willing to give the restaurant another chance - hopefully it was just an off night. :)

Nice local Mexican joint - somewhat classy. Great happy hour specials until 6pm. Great patio. Great margaritas and ‘real’ Mexican coke in bottles. Food is delish. Fajitas are large enough to share. Try this place and I bet you’ll be a regular!

Food, Service, Vibe are spectacular! Pictured is Southwestern Margarita (prickly pear) was delicious. I ordered Carnitas Relleno which was out of this world! We plan to be back soon!

Last night was our first visit to this excellent Mexican restaurant. The staff was very friendly and the owner stopped by our table and help describe the dishes. The margaritas were generous and delicious and the food was fresh, hot and served promptly. We will return soon!

Our first visit! Had seen the restaurant when we went to Eggstacy next door. We were then DETERMINED to try it as we LOVE Mexican Food. The location is very good for so many... just need to get the word out. Was very inviting, nice atmosphere, staff extremely friendly, we met Owner Juan and had a nice chat. We enjoyed our food. Tasty, flavorful and well presented. Will be back very soon and WISHING THEM THE BEST OF LUCK! We highly recommend it and encourage you to try them out! Spread the word!

Great service, great food plus a great location for our little pocket of Scottsdale. We are so happy we found this location as we really don't have many close Mexican food restaurants. The menu items are different from the regular fare and absolutely delicious! This is our new favorite place.

Blown away! I like most foods all of the time so this was a nice reminder that there are still places that can surprise you with food above the majority! What I mean is, this meal is one of the best I’ve had in a while! I assumed it would be good, I’m rarely disappointed with tacos and margaritas, “can’t mess them up” is what I say. But from beginning to end, every bite had so much flavor and tasted so high quality, I kept thinking to myself, “that was REALLY good!” throughout the entire meal. Our table shared some guacamole with break apart tortillas. I ordered ceviche, a sweet potato taco and a surprise taco - I asked them to just make me something. I don’t want to keep repeating myself, but I can’t explain enough how good it all was! Like, I’ll remember these tacos for a long time and measure every taco after this against these! Lastly, I have to mention the top tier drinks! The bartender is a friend, whose career I love to follow around the valley! I know his quality and seriousness about his craft and it shows in every drink he makes! They’re always perfect and never boring! Oh, and the restaurant is nice, good lighting, clean, plenty of seating!

The menu’s small, but everything is excellent, and very reasonably priced. Love the ceviche, guac, and carne asada tacos. Casual, friendly service. Always a great time.

We had an assortment of tacos all of which were excellent. The chips and salsa are unique and quite tasty. I had a mango margarita, and it was the best margarita I have ever had!

David is an amazing and gracious owner and the food is delicious! We enjoyed the Birria tacos and the corn dip and the drinks were amazing (Mezcalrita and frozen Paloma) HIGHLY RECOMMEND

A Hidden Gem! If this place was in The Quarter, it would be booked out. The space is really well thought out with a full bar with many interesting tequila drinks. I had the shrimp ceviche as an appetizer (sorry no pic as I ate it so quickly-plenty of shrimp, along with chunks of jicama and avocado, outstanding! Had the Quesabirria and chorizo tacos-so full of flavors and clearly a lot of quality ingredients went into these dishes. Picture of tacos attached. I will definitely dine here again!
