Open early on Sundays- worth getting up for! Excellent varied menu. We had florentine and BR special. Both very well executed. Super garlicky spinach and yummy think bread. Friendly efficient service.

Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. The dishes lacked flavor, presentation, and overall quality — which was very unexpected. The bread was cut too thick and had no taste, it wasn’t toasted or spread with butter. Adding simple touches such as garlic butter, cheese sauce, or other flavor elements could make a big difference. All three dishes we ordered were completely bland. These days, it’s easy to find inspiration online for improving flavor and presentation, and I believe there is definitely room for improvement.

We had a tasty brunch here on a Sunday morning. My only wish was that the wait list system worked because I tried to join the wait list as we were walking there and it wasn't working... Of course we arrived and the place was full so we could only add ourselves once we got there. This meant that we could only get bar seats which was a bit tight for space. Aside from the seating situation the food itself was great. We got the Navajo Eggs and the Huevos Rancheros. Both were delicious and had a good balance of fresh ingredients with savoury elements.

Great breakfast and healthy options 🌸 We got early breakfast here. We ordered the B&R breakfast with side eggs and avocado with coffee and matcha. Everything is delicious and fresh, especially the pancakes. The portion sizes are good. Coffee and matcha latte was also good. Quick and friendly service. Highly reccomend and would visit again =)

I ordered the B&R Special with extra avocado instead of bacon. The eggs and bread were delicious, and the butter elevated the whole dish. The orange juice was fresh, but the pancakes were underwhelming compared to the rest. Nice atmosphere and excellent service, overall, a solid 5 stars despite the pancakes.

We visited here 12 and 1 PM without a reservation and were lucky to get a table quite quickly. Ordering is done via smartphone by scanning a QR code, which was easy and convenient. I ordered the chicken and waffles and honestly, it was amazing. The waffle was perfectly crispy, and the chicken was well-marinated and flavorful. Just delicious! We couldn’t finish everything, so we asked to take the leftovers to go. There was a €0.50 charge, which I agreed to, assuming the staff would pack the food. Since it was very crowded inside, I stepped outside to wait so I wouldn’t be in the way. A staff member then came out, looked at me strangely, and asked if I didn’t want the food anymore. I was confused, and it felt a bit uncomfortable. Apparently, I was expected to pack it myself, which wasn’t clearly communicated. The food was truly great, but the service left a mixed impression. It seemed like the staff weren’t too happy to serve tourists at least, that’s how it felt to us.

I visited this restaurant on a rainy Saturday, and it was the perfect way to start the day. I had brunch with some friends, and the four of us ordered the exact same dish: waffles and fried chicken. Big minds think alike, and in this case, we were totally right! The chicken was perfectly cooked, crispy, and had a special seasoning. Really chilled restaurant with great food and very accommodating staff. A great place to grab breakfast/lunch and then take a stroll into the city. Highly recommend the all around carnivore and the all around veggie. Everything is super flavourful - including the coffee! Well worth a visit even if it’s out of your way.

Food is very well seasoned and big portions. Can confirm that it tasted very much like NYC brunch (with this restaurant having “New York Brunch Bar” in the logo). Got a carnivore breakfast plate. Bacon was crispy, hashbrown had a nice kick to it with spice that tasted like shin-ramen, pancakes tasted very homemade. Came during a weekday around 12pm, no wait and not too crowded inside.

A reservation is highly encouraged since it does get packed quick. Waitress was extremely nice and food came out quick. Eggs were fluffy as were the pancakes. The bacon was crunchy and salty. The potatoes are crispy and light. If you get the chicken and waffles the waffle is thick and the chicken is flavored perfectly.

I’m honestly surprised this place is so popular and highly regarded. The brunch was fairly average and overpriced for the quality of food and service provided. Nothing about the experience was explicitly bad, but nothing stood out either — certainly not enough to warrant asking, “Do you have a reservation?” for two people at 1pm on a Monday. We shared the avocado toast, chicken and waffles, juice #3, and an iced latte. The chicken and waffles came with barely enough syrup for the portion size, and they charge extra for basic condiments — for example, €1.50 for hot sauce with the avocado toast. The juice was fine, but felt very basic and overpriced for the size/quality. It’s also worth noting that you order everything and view the menu via a QR code, so there’s minimal server interaction or hospitality involved. Overall, I left feeling pretty disappointed. This feels more like a touristy TikTok hotspot than a genuinely great brunch spot. There are several other places in the neighborhood I would recommend over Staring at Jacob.

Make a reservation, as it’s always very busy. The location is beautiful—calm and green, a peaceful spot in the city. The interior is very cozy, and when the weather is nice, it’s amazing to sit outside and enjoy the garden. Food: It seems like the prices have gone up while the portion sizes have decreased. The Chuck Norris sandwich costs €18, which feels quite high for what you get. I had the savoury kadaif—it's a nice and unique dish, but again, I think €16 is too much. The prices of the 'Sides' are also not in proportion. 5 euro for a smashed avocado! They usually offer a wide variety of desserts, but unfortunately, there weren’t many left. We ordered the apple pie, which tasted great, but the portion was very small. Overall, it was a nice experience. However, I’d suggest reviewing the portion sizes, and the service could definitely be a bit quicker.

Great menu with a lot of variety for breakfast / lunch options. Great vegetarian options. I really like the location - good indoor and outdoor space surrounded by greenery. Would suggest reserving as it gets very busy on the weekends.

The food was delicious, we ordered the savory Dutch and the brave basque and they were both very good. New options that we had not ordered before. June was a magnificent server and she gave us great advice when ordering and about Amsterdam in general. The place is super cozy and nice. I recommend making reservations as it gets quite busy in weekends. I have also had the kale hash poached eggs which I think have been my favorite so far. I will definitely be back to try more things. Make sure to make a reservation. They were quite busy and had a line waiting out the door. They do have several locations. We came here based on all the reviews and also based on a recommendation from an acquaintance. But honestly, we thought the food was just ok. Average and really nothing to rave about.

I really liked the atmosphere. Both indoor and outdoor areas are lovely. I do think the prices are way too high for the portion sizes. The flavours did not blow me away. The plating was nice but I felt that the quality of the food could be improved. I had the baguette with bresaola, which could have easily been elevated with a sourdough. I think it’s very basic compared to the price although the ambience was nice.

As much as we had hopes of liking the food, it failed. Service was just horrible. We waited 30 minutes for someone to take our order after we flagged them down and waited another 30 minutes for drinks, receiving a cold coffee which was clearly sitting somewhere. Food finally arrived after an hour and a half to find eggs Benedict that was over cooked, more hard boiled than poached and a sauce that was overly acidic. Safe to say, skip this location and try something more efficient.

The Breakfast Club was about 10 min walk from our hotel in Amsterdam, which had indoor and outdoor seating. Breakfast was delicious! The French Toast with Fruits was superb! The Croissant with butter and jam was great to start the day. Service was fast and friendly.

The Breakfast Club is a chill spot for brunch anytime. The vibe is relaxed and casual, not too crowded even on weekends. I love their fluffy pancakes perfectly soft and topped with fresh fruit. The huevos rancheros is also tasty, with a nice kick from the jalapeños. Their breakfast burger is a bit of a treat, loaded with all the good stuff. They’ve got options for vegans and vegetarians too, which is cool. Service can be a bit slow sometimes, but the food is worth the wait. A solid spot to kick off the day.

Our hotel recommended this place and frankly I don't know why. Service was pretty slow, but very friendly, from sitting down to being served it took around 30 minutes. The food was not good, basically unseasoned, and the driest Omelette I've ever eaten. The outside seating is nice!

Very long to be served and get food out, along with trying to pay so we can leave. Pancakes were okay, whereas the London breakfast was better. I’d say it’s quite expensive for what it is, they had an option to pay €2 euro extra for hp sauce?

Service was friendly. Make sure you make reservations because walk in queue will have an hour wait. We ordered the set meal and happy that they have variety of sets. Generally, we enjoyed the meal. But the fish did not do for me. I find it too bland. The fish was cooked perfectly though. Desserts was good.

Main oven was down when we visited and they were serving appetizers and small plates of some of the main dishes - which was perfect for us as we could then sample more dishes with smaller portions. Mashed potatoes with sauerkrauts, mashed potatoes with carrots and onions, beef croquettes, beef stew, meatball and smoked sausage. Food was amazing, flavorful and well balanced. So good And to top off, service was excellent! Definitely worth another visit!

Warm & friendly service; a beautifully designed, cozy atmosphere, and most of all, delicious Dutch dishes. The vegetarian bitterballen was excellent - crispy on the outside without being oily, with great texture & flavour on the inside. Also really enjoyed the combination mashed potatoes to try the different flavours (kale, carrot, & cauliflower) that were each unique. Bonus that everything was extremely reasonably priced. Very highly recommend for the loveliest experience of traditional Dutch cuisine & hospitality!

Great place to try dutch food: the staff are very friendly, it’s well located, and the decor is very characteristic. Although I didn’t love the food (it’s not my personal taste), it was great to try!! My favorite dish was the pea soup. It’s small and there are a lot of people, we waited a bit, but nothing serious 😁

Great restaurant in Ams. The quality of the ingredients were supreme. A dinner to remember for sure. The only drawback was that the portions were quite small and I lest the restaurant hungry. I had to go buy croquettes afterwards at Febo.

Great upmarket dining in a very beautiful, relaxing atmosphere with excellent, friendly service. Every dish was a great combination of flavours. We went two days in a row for a three and four course dinner respectively, choosing the chef's menu where you don't know upfront what you are getting. Also the wine pairings were great! Staff make you feel very welcome and well taken care of.

Great bar! The only place we visited twice on our trip to Amsterdam. The staff was super friendly and the drinks were absolutely delicious. They have an amazing garden in the back. If you lucky enough, you might get a seat there. We tried probably 3/4 of the cocktails on their list and would happily drink them all again. The 'p.martini' and the 'Lionjito' are must haves. Haven't had dinner here or the bar snacks but will try that for sure the next time we are in Amsterdam.

Fantastic! Cocktails, food, atmosphere..... Read numerous recommendations about Lion Noir before going there and the experience fully lived up to my expectations. We had a reservation for Saturday evening at 21 pm. At arrival we got greeted by the friendliest and smiling staff in the bar area. We ordered some drinks while waiting for our table. We was then shown to our table on the first floor. Restaurant is spacious and tables spread out so you get both privacy and the vibe from other guest. Menu is great and has a good variety of fish and meat. Try the oysters from Ireland - really meaty and tasty. After a fantastic dinner we stayed for some cocktails before heading on. I can fully recommend Lion Noir.

We visited for the Tasting Menu (7 courses). Initially, it was nice with the service and pleasant first courses. Throughout this whole experience, I’d say seafood is their specialty, as it was always prepared so well that I would recommend here for seafood. However, I was quite disappointed by the restaurant’s selection of utensils and cleanliness. My main complaint would be the pairing of eating utensils and plates. The utensils do not sit well on the deep plates and make it burdensome to manoeuvre around for the food. This also means that cutting steaks was problematic since the knives couldn’t cut with full potential. Furthermore, the heavy bottoms of the utensils would constantly slide into the plates and make a mess when it got covered in sauce. Changing the deep plates for flatter plates would eliminate this problem. We had difficulty with the venison, which by nature is a tough meat, but it was extremely difficult to cut with the given knife and likewise hard to chew - the toughest I’ve had at a restaurant. I appreciated that the waitresses and chef offered to replace my knife (which I accepted) and bring a new piece of venison (which I rejected; no other options aside from venison offered), but I was still left unsatisfied due to their prior approach when I called one over to say that I believed the knife I have was dull. “It should not be” and “You should cut along the grain of the meat” were my responses… Obviously my meat showed several attempts at trying to cut it without penetration and I’ve eaten enough meat in my life to notice that there’s a problem beyond my control, which I had to show the waitress my pathetic attempt at trying to cut the meat without success. The comments from the waitresses were not useful and reduced my impression of the quality here. I could literally drag the knife on my thumb and it would not cut it. One waitress arrived with three knives - two of the same steak knives that I had issues with and one butter knife. Guess which knife performed better? The butter knife. Why? Because it at least was a bit serrated. The steak knives offered here were un-serrated, so they get dull easily and need constant maintenance to keep their sharpness. My dinner guest who had the same dish did not bother to cut their venison due to the same complaint and just stabbed the venison with the fork and took bites from it. It also seemed that some of the waitresses (there were 3-4 different ones helping us that night) were not as enthusiastic serving us after that incident, but it could also be dismissed by the busy day they were having. For the cleanliness, I constantly found specs of dried food stuck on the plates, cups, and silverware. Attention to the cleanliness of these before distributing to guests is needed… Other things, which were not as serious were the noise levels, wine service, and butter-less bread. It got very noisy during the evening, so it was difficult to talk to others as if the noise of every visitor bounced off the walls and you could hear almost every conversation. Regarding the wine service, I understand that not every restaurant does this, but we found it unfortunate to buy a bottle without tasting offered, which the wine was subpar with a high markup. Lastly, we were served bread with no butter. This is the first time I’ve dined somewhere that does not offer butter with their bread. Overall, this is a nice restaurant with good potential. As long as you do not find issues with eating your food, you will most likely find the experience pleasant with cheery waitresses.

We complemented it with some excellent beers and a fine wine, each selection enhancing the relaxed yet refined atmosphere. The location is stunning, with beautiful views of the river, making it a perfect spot to unwind and soak in the surroundings. One of the best aspects of De Ysbreeker is its authentic, local vibe, a refreshing break from the more tourist-heavy spots. Highly recommend for a genuine Amsterdam experience. Four stars well-deserved!

We came to this cafe before an afternoon bike ride from Amsterdam to Leiden. Service quite fast, good dishes, presentation of the dish could be improved. Friendly staff and good price.

Ysbreeker setting new standards- especially for the Caesar salad. No chicken, no bacon, just a few leaves and one lonely egg sets you back €17. Add two drinks and some bland fries and boom, €50 gone. A true fine dining experience, if you’re a rabbit. 3 stars for the fast service and ambiance.

They have a wide variety of dishes to eat, the menu is not bad at all. We ordered 2 omelettes with ham, and some poached eggs. Everything was delicious. Great choice of restaurant.

Having tried other Dignitas before, this was my first visit to Vondelpark, and it felt like stumbling into a hidden gem. Reservations are a smart move—the place is popular, and for good reason. We ordered: - 🥪 Chicken Sandwich – hearty and flavorful, with just the right crunch. - 🥑🍳 Eggs Benedict with Avocado – creamy, rich, and beautifully plated. The real magic? Sitting in the glass house, bathed in gentle winter sunlight. It was soothing, almost meditative—like brunch in a greenhouse kissed by the cold.

Definitely my favorite brunch spot in Amsterdam — every time I visit the city, I try to go to. They serve a dish called Benny Florentine, with eggs Benedict on a kind of potato rash — like a bunch of crispy fries — and it’s absolutely amazing. I highly recommend it!

We went here around 15 thinking they wouldn’t have space and would be closing but they actually had plenty! We also love the space because you had so many different options to choose from for different group sizes, and the staff was super helpful too. We got the toast and pistachio pancakes, we love both of them but the pancakes was a bit heavy, may not be easy to eat all of it one person. There were people with laptops too.

A lovely spot for brunch the menu is pretty small but with very interesting dishes and combinations. I had the sandwich with the chicken and avocado it was probably one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. The pandan ice coffee was also really good, and I'm Italian I'm picky with my coffee. I will go back when I'm in Amsterdam again. Shout out to the staff which was extremely nice and helpful!

Dignita Vondelpark is a beautiful spot with truly incredible food. The Eggs Benedict and the Çılbır were both outstanding, fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. I always make a point to visit one of the Dignita locations whenever I’m in Amsterdam, and this one did not disappoint. The coffee here is also fantastic. The mimosa package, however, feels overpriced at 45€, especially given that the Sekt used retails for around 7€ a bottle. Service was friendly and welcoming, but noticeably slow. We received our food before our drinks, and empty plates and glasses were left on the table despite staff walking past multiple times. If you come for the food and coffee, you won’t be disappointed, but don’t expect quick or attentive service.

Enjoyed the breakfast and the atmosphere. I ordered a flat white and a hot chocolate, but a cappuccino was served instead of the hot chocolate. After clarifying, I asked for it to be replaced with the correct drink, but the cappuccino was still included on the bill.

We loved this place. We went there 3 times during our week in Amsterdam. It’s a good option for breakfast. But the most important reason to visit is the apple pie. It is absolutely delicious. The location is nice and a couple of the outdoor tables are right by the canal. The service is friendly and kind. Highly recommend.

I’ve been here a few times, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is always vibrant and welcoming to everyone, with excellent service from the charming staff. The vibe is hip yet relaxed — I just stopped in for a coffee and an incredibly tasty chicken sandwich. A real hidden gem right next to Oosterpark.

O stumbled upon this place because it was in the neighborhood where I was staying. I wanted a quick breakfast and it was a very pleasant surprise. I got a green shake with kale, apple, and a banana, with lots of pulp. Very refreshing! For the main course, I had a coconut yogurt and a fresh fruit bowl. It was the perfect amount , very fresh, and flavorful. Very fast service. I'm very pleased and would definitely come back to see what they have in store for dinner.

Terrible food. Pics or didn’t happen, right? The first photo is what I had, the second one what it was supposed to be. Bread was not baked properly. The filling was subpar. Bad “pinsa” overall. I had flat white with almond milk but the problem was the almond milk they use is sweetened. Why?? It was also very watery. Maybe desserts are good, I don’t know. I am dissappointent.

We had brunch as a big group and had a nice and big table to enjoy good food. The food was very good and we felt full after. When we asked for recommendation we recived a lot of offers from the service. Overall a good place with good food.

The burger with fries was good. It just took a long time to receive it. There aren’t many waiters and you really have to get their attention. The price is a bit on the higher side.

One of the many cafés in Amsterdam. We had some beer, aperol spritz and wine so all kinds of drinks and of course some snacks. All was pretty common. But we had to wait long, different waitresses (poor and only English) and the order wasn’t right. So a shortage of staff maybe. The place is ok and near the Amstel river. We wanted to sit outside but both wind as lack of seats made us to go inside. For me that was - for then - the better choice but in general a good café but nothing special or something that was outstanding

Decent place for a bite. Nothing special, but you won’t be disappointed. Food is properly made and season very well. Staff is friendly but again nothing crazy happening here. If you want a steady dinner for a fair price at a cozy location. This is it.

Super Service. As a tourist, I just came here to borrow a charger. The waitress showed me where the chargers were. And she said she could charge my phone for free. It was so kind and generous of her. Ich really appreciated her help. And the coffee was also excellent. Hope to come here again!

This is one of my fav places for bites to share with friends, but also meals. The staff is every time friendly and helpful. My favourite here is their nachos because they give a real portion with a perfect amount of guacamole and sour cream and the nachos are every time so freshly crisp with good amounts of cheese. For me this place has the best nachos I ate in this city and I even brought friends to try who then agreed. Definitely will be back here and I hope they keep up the great quality.

Great food, good portions, nice plating. Quite loud / due to the large crowd inside. Giant walls of filthy smokers outside that you have to pass through to get inside. There's a severe lack of available toilets for such a large space, but they were clean, though the door handles were in need of repair.

Absolutely loved the vibe. Its a restaurant/bar on a rooftop of a hotel. We went for dinner (that by the way was really tasty) and then drinks on the terrace. We tried to make a reservation but it was full, we decided to give it a try anyway and had no problem getting a table as soon as we got there, even though it was a Saturday evening. Great views, great place, great music. The only thing why I don’t give 5 starts is because the service was really slow (but the staff were kind).

Great rooftop bar, the view is amazing from here. They have beer pitcher, cocktails and even tho I didn't try the main dishes they looked good. We spent the afternoon with a great sunset and chill music. They have DJ on Saturdays from 20:00

Hidden spot, love the food and terrace. Terrace is first come-first serve, no booking available. I liked that place so much, that I spent my birthday there, they let me bring balloons, which is a very nice gesture :) staff is friendly.

The restaurant has improved quite much since the past 6 months. The food is quite varied and savory, the service is attentive, and the cocktails are quite creative and are some of the best ones I’ve had in Amsterdam. Additionally, the place has a great view of the south and east part of the city, which makes for a beautiful atmosphere. As for recommendations here is what I would encourage you to try: 1. The Japanese Gin Fizz is out of this world and my all time favorite. 2. The bitterballen are delicious and are made with good quality ingredients. 3. The roast beef bread was so fresh and the flavor combination adds so much to the dish, however I do have to say that I prefer the bread to be warm. 5. The roasted pumpkin salad is quite refreshing, nevertheless I do think that it tastes better if some salt is added and it would perhaps be more savory with some balsamic or honey as dressing. 6. The white chocolate cheesecake is the only way to properly finish off the meal as it is creamy and savory. As a final note, I do have to mention that the service attention decreases as lunch hours are ending so I would recommend you to consider going before 15:30 for attentive and quick service. Nevertheless, there is always personnel around that can help you with anything you need.

Chef is really good, the serving staff got the drinks over wrong 3 times, and it was only su, mineral su and a wine ! Then they cleared plated before we had all finished. Food really healthy and good value for the location.

Euro 2024 25/06 - Organised by Westerunie at Westergasterras. A very bad experience, extremely crowded. Profit was the main priority. There are many other better places at Westerpark to watch the game, entrance free & open to all people around it; where you won't feel cramped or encounter unjust and aggressive behavior. See Bar Kantoor, Troost, Radio Radio, and many more. A security guard bullied our friend, abusing his power and instructing everyone else from the security team not to let her in despite she had purchased a ticket. She was pushed by him multiple times while standing in front of the 'event gates' trying to finish a protein shake while watching the game (as instructed at the entrance, as it was not allowed to be in her bag), for which she protested. His words 'I am head of security and I do what I want, you will not get in because I say so and did not obey what I told you ' As confirmed by the police, this space outside is public, and our friend will be taking further actions against the organization.

Gorgeous location with a large, comfortable terrace. Food was tasty (although prices seemed a bit high for some items) and service was friendly. Make a reservation as it got really busy, and note that you currently have to order at the bar due to the COVID situation.

Nice spot to enjoy a beer within westerpark, which is a must go on the weekend. Prices are on average. The place is very beautiful also inside, with very high ceiling which makes it eccentric place.

Great spot, nice places sitting out side if the weather is nice. Fast service, even in busy days, and good presentation. It do deserve a 5* rate, but the prices are a little high, but it's Amsterdam! Will go back for sure for a nice drink by the sun and far from the city noise!

Great vibe/ atmosphere. Near the lake, great view. Their tuna poke bowl was nice, even though they forgot to add the avocado. The Verdejo white wine was a perfect complement with the tuna. Highly recommended. Only thing is that they took too long to realize we were there. We sat there for about 20 minutes without menus nor drinks and even served the couple that arrived about 10 mins after wjo sat next to us. The guy who got us menus was a tad stand-offish. But good thing the lady server was very nice and personable and saved our experience.

I was looking forward to a bright sunny breakfast place this was pretty dingy, faded colors. The service was fine, I asked three times for water with our breakfast. Overall, average.

I ordered the French toast, and I got a rotten banana as fruit. No fresh red fruit as mentioned on the menu. The whole plate did not look attractive at all, burnt toast. After I told the waiter, he did nothing about it, just blamed the chef... also the whole place smells strongly from the kitchen.

Lunch was very good. The atmosphere of the restaurant and the staff were good.

The breakfast toast was really good and tasty as well as the coffee. The only thing that was lacking was the time it took to receive the orders and that’s probably due to the large amount of people that troop in due to the quality they get from the place. Would highly recommend it to anyone when the place isn’t too crowded.

It was succulent, flavoursome, and relied upon balance in a way you don’t find for a cafe staple normally. It was one of the best I’ve had anywhere in the world. Massive statement, but completely verifiable; just come give it a try. The lava cake was decadent and rich, the pancakes made my heart sing. I’ll stop now because I could otherwise go on forever. This is a super cute little cafe! The coffee was wonderful! The eggs Benedict was a bit odd as it wasn't served on an English muffin, but the hash browns were some of the best that I've ever had! It was definitely on the pricey side, but I would still go back for sure! Our server was really nice and she did a good job.

Fine tuned to British taste buds for any homesick tourists. In spite of that the brunch was excellent, filling, delicious and well balanced. Great choice and on e of the better sources of tea in the city. It's tiny so be prepared to wait. Huge respect to the staff that capably handled all the rude customers.

It’s a smaller space, I’m not sure if they take reservations but I recommend making one if they do! We waited maybe 20mins in the rain for a table. It might be better if they had some sort of shelter for people waiting outside. I ordered the English breakfast and it was pretty standard, nothing outstanding. My friend ordered the eggs Benedict which she really enjoyed. All of the beverages were delicious, I recommend the coconut strawberry matcha and the apple, carrot, ginger juice. The staff were very friendly and accommodating; we were able to take our matcha to go!

I started with some carrot, juice spiked with ginseng and lemon. Pancakes were soft, fluffy and smothered in fresh berries and syrup. Eggs benny with Pastrami... an out of this world thriller any time of day. Creamy hollandaise, runny egg yolk, salty pastrami on crusty sourdough combine to create the best dish I've eaten in Amsterdam. MUST TRY brunch spot sure to satisfy!

I just landed in Amsterdam in the morning, then took the train to city center and walked in the city, passed by this restaurant at around 8:30 am saw many ppl queuing there and the food looked awesome then I just queued there as well. The eggs are nice taste and smells good. The service is nice too, friendly and easy to understand. They all can speak English I guess. Inside is a bit noisy, ppl are talking and laughing, but that’s life I love it.

Food - lovely omelletes cooked well. Service - friendly service but our order was slightly incorrect. Atmosphere - a bit of a frantic atmosphere which was not wholly necessary as it wasn't overly busy. They have a table at the back which is large and great for bigger groups.

This little gem surprised me in the most positive way. It’s not the most aesthetic or popular place so I didn’t have high hopes but my word was the food and service amazing. I ordered the Big Ben breakfast and it was 10/10, fluffy eggs, amazing sausage and loved the bread aswell. I also ordered their Peach Bellini and it was also just as good. The staff was also so friendly and welcoming and the prices are fairly reasonable too. 10/10 I will be coming back as a regular.

I celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday here, and it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. The two lovely ladies coordinated the surprise birthday wish and candles on the crème brûlée exactly as I had asked before dinner. They were incredibly sweet and helpful, truly the best service you could ask for. The food was also great, I’ve been here four times already and have never been disappointed. Although we arrived together, our reservations were completely separate, and we never asked to combine the tables. Unfortunately, the way we were treated at the entrance was very disappointing. The hostess told us in a rather rude tone that we were “fooling” the restaurant and that next time we should make “a full booking instead of scamming them,” which was shocking and completely uncalled for. We explained politely that we simply had two bookings, two tables, and were not asking for any special accommodations. The restaurant was not even full at the time, yet we were made to feel unwelcome. This interaction left a very negative impression about their customer service. Hospitality is about making guests feel comfortable, not accused. That being said, the food was absolutely fantastic—easily 5 out of 5. Every dish was prepared beautifully and tasted amazing. Compliments to the kitchen team for delivering such high quality. If only the service matched the excellence of the food, this would have been a perfect experience.

August 2023 Remains such a nice spot to be at. Really good decor with swift service with a nice menu with good pricing. Also staff very friendly. Hidden literally 1 street from busy Amsterdam. Wine can be expansive though. Nice wines as special by the glass, just ask. And enough people seem to find this spot ;-)

Small cosy diner serving local home cooked Dutch dishes. Loved the fork tender chunky beef stew accompanied by fluffy boiled potatoes. Pairs well with a glass of port or sherry. Chicken noodle soup was nice and homely. Viennese schnitzel thinly breaded and the pork meat enclosed within was thick/ firm to the bite.

Really great restaurant serving Dutch food. I tried the Amsterdam chicken which is like a roast chicken but brewed in a dark beer and it was so tender and juicy. The boiled potatoes and vegetable sides were also really good. The standout to me was their local liqueur. They had it in many flavours but I was curious to try the rose one and it was absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly.

The food and coffee is average. There is no queue. The 2 woman staff were sarcastic when i ask what i can eat it with. A simple question as being a stranger here i thot i will like to eat with sardines.. i want to explain that locals loves their herrings and again rebutted me with attitude that the fishes are not the same. The main menu had no prices. To a customer it is good to be knowledgeable but not sarcastically . I just want to eat their croquettes with fish not education on fish OMG.. these staffs should go for customer service training and also thanks for reminding that i can eat with my hands and mouth in front of other customers.

Went here because this place was all over tiktok, the influencers were insisting that this place look unassuming but is delicious. I can’t agree, I am not sure what’s worse the service or food. I kept getting ignored by the servers, I would stand right in front of them and try to speak to them but they prioritized joking with each other or other customers that came later than me. Not sure if it’s because I’m a tourist. We tried different food from their menu, I honestly did not like any of it. The buns were promised to be so light and airy, but they taste like regular american store-bought buns. Meat is also very mid, lowkey looks like slop.

Here you can try the most traditional breakfast options in Amsterdam as the shop is one of the oldest in town and keeps sticking to old recipes. I would definitely revisit this place for the crickets to die for. It’s not so cheap place as we paid 40€ for 4 items and a coffee. But I honestly believe that it was worth the experience.

I recently visited Prins Heerlijk for brunch, attracted by its great location near Amsterdam Centraal and the positive reviews. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite live up to our expectations. Our food took almost 40 minutes to arrive, which felt a bit long. My friend ordered a fresh orange juice, but we were told it was unavailable and were offered apple juice instead. To our surprise, it wasn’t freshly made but came from a bottle. The coffee arrived quickly, but by the time the food came, I didn’t have anything left to drink. We ordered two English breakfasts, but the flavors were lacking; the dish felt quite plain and simple, especially for the price. While the location is convenient and the service was polite, the experience could definitely be improved with more attention to flavor and ensuring that drinks are as fresh as advertised. Hopefully, these small changes can make a big difference for future guests.

Both my wife and I had the English breakfast. The food itself was ok, the eggs were good, the sausage was bland and the bacon was fine. The toast wasn’t toasted, just bread out of the package, cut and put into the plate. We tried other breakfast in the same area and found it better, I don’t recommend.

The location is excellent if you're walking from the Central Station. This is a great place to people watch. We enjoyed the special croissant with a fried egg and bacon and the healthy baguette with salad. The coffee and americano were both good.

But hey, when the reward is a pancake masterpiece, a little wait might just be a small price to pay.

Good food for the price, but small venue. If you are looking for a good meal at a reasonable price, this is the place to go. If you are in a group it's not so great. The restaurant is very small. So you will need to be open to eating outside. If you are more than 4 people it will be hard to get a seat. As for food the Danish pancake was good. Very sweet but good. I personally recommend the salmon sandwich. The coffee is good as well.

Had a quick brunch with the wife as we were exploring Amsterdam city. Great place for some local snacks and fast food. We ordered the frikandel and their version of fish and chips. Food was good and definitely a fun pit stop right at the heart of the city facing the Central Station.

Had a delightful meal for dinner here. The service was great, the food was delicious and came out reasonably quickly, and the atmosphere was so nice. They have a beautiful quote mosaic on the wall, and of course an incredible view of the city. Price is very reasonable for the quality of the food and location. Cherry on top was discovering a sunscreen station — so thoughtful!!

We had a light lunch- a platter of Dutch finger food and perfectly chilled white wine, both delicious. We placed the order using the QR code at our table and the service was prompt. This is an excellent choice of venue if you’d like to experience the vibe unique to central Amsterdam.

We stumbled across this place by accident after our original lunch plans fell through. We were seated immediately on a Saturday afternoon. I wanted to try kibbling so I got the kibbling sandwich. Great breakfast and brunch place. We sat upstairs on the high counter without any reservations on a Saturday morning. We had two portions of the pancakes with spicy chicken and avo on toast. Both very good and filling. Coffees were ok. Hopefully they can improve the coffee quality. Otherwise both food and service were exceptional and the staff is very friendly too.

Great service, coffee was good and the food was just OK. The eggs and hollandaise sauce desperately needed some seasoning and the poached eggs were on the overcooked side and were set - not runny. Not a bad place to visit for breakfast despite the words above.

Awesome food alongside canal. Very peaceful and lovely atmosphere. Magdelana (maddy) gave us very good service. She is smiling, understanding, courteous and polite. My brother wanted corrals coffee which was not on the menu but she understood the order and got it made for him and it was amazing. Would definitely recommend this place for breakfast/ brunch/ lunch/ coffee/ drinks.

Great experience, service is good, had their pancake, coffee and home made kombucha- all good. Would return for avocado toast. Edit- Did go back for the mortgage toast and it did not disappoint. Tried their chai as well and it was well balanced. The service though felt more relaxed today.

The restaurant is located on the “Zuidas” of Amsterdam. This area has a lot of big office buildings and is not as lively when they are closed. There is enough payed parking in a short walk distance, no valet parking. The restaurant itself looks modern, serene. Staff is friendly and as soon as we were seated the first small bites arrived. Most of the menu is based around vegetables because the restaurant has its own garden at the busy Zuidas. We had a three course lunch menu with the first two courses being vegetables and the final course fish. I found the taste sometimes a bit blend. Missing not only seasoning but an exciting sauce to get a bit more flavor differences out of the vegs. The restaurant has a terrace and staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The wine was great and they also have a juice menu. All in all for me the rating gets three stars because of the combination between the (personal) bit blend flavors and price. Definitely a nice experience and a dream for vegans! For me it just did not overwhelm as much as I hoped.

Food was good, but a bit slow to arrive. We had to sit outside for the first few bites which made us cold. Not enough non-alcoholic mocktails on the menu.

We came here for lunch and it was very delicious. Besides main course they served entrees. I liked salt from Zeeland and that they have small garden near by where you can see how they grow vegetables for their kitchen. Waitress was friendly and explained everything, I liked they are polite and attentive. I liked they accept cash!! I didn’t like they served tap water and took 15 euro for it!!! It’s insane, the water is free everywhere in Amsterdam. I cannot give 5 stars and recommend it to my friends only because of it, I hope they will improve their service.

The place is nicely decorated with minimalistic style. However, the overall experience leaves one ‘confused’, for a lack of a better word. The ingredients are certainly very fresh and you can tell lots of thought went into dishes but the taste is mediocre. I can’t say that I’d like to have any of the dishes again. Scallops, for example, were tasty, but the sauce that was paired with them didn’t go well - making the whole dish unable to live to its potential. The ice cream with liquorish was an interesting presentation but it just wasn’t tasty. The selection of wines and service was good. Overall, interesting experience but for this level of restaurant the dishes should be much more sharp.

Service was excellent, food was great especially for vegetarians / vegans. Our wine pairing was amazing. High emphasis on sustainability on the menu + use of seasonal ingredients including from the garden adjacent to the restaurant.

Fab lunch experience, starting by welcome and dishes descriptions. Job was a great server, but they were all good. Amuse bouche 2 star Michelin quality, the most fab homemade bread, just enough dramatics to make experience stand out, but not enough to turn gimmicky. Dishes were very good, the only one that didn't gel with me was the watermelon "steak", its texture too off-putting, but everything else,superb. Great coffee, cute petit fours. Definitely will be back. Private dining room fitting up to 18, also impressive. €59 lunch set menu, €115 for dinner. A le carte was also available.

Sadly I was a little disappointed with lunch at Bolenius. The food was beautifully presented and the service was really good but I had higher expectations with the taste of the dishes. My monkfish main was undercooked and tough which was a shame. We did really enjoy the selection of Dutch cheeses for dessert and that there was Dutch wine on the menu.

The squid toast and oysters were delicious! The veg starter was way too spicy ! The cocktails were nice but I think the prices are too high for the what is served. The service was weird and waiters kept talking and giggling to each other. Then new waiters were asking the same question again and again disturbing us mid- conversation. Average experience and will not visit again.

Impressive food with focus on charcoal grill Umami taste. We don’t eat meat but we’re happy with a few veggie options that were great! Composition, quality and presentation are a plus. Very nice location for dinner on your last night in Amsterdam or a special occasion. (Only inside seating though, few tables outside for an aperitivo max)

Beautiful terrace only issue is you keep hearing the sounds of the cleaning of the ten Kate market which can be super annoying. The food was great we had the sea food platter which was awesome. It had prawns muscles lobster and more. We recommend the buratta as well. The fish was so so and I wouldn't personally order it again. Overall great food and service. I bet the ambiance is better inside during the winter time.

Just a good spot for dinner. Nothing special, but you won’t be disappointed. Fish is really good here. Looking for a good night, then this is the place.

Super nice place for drinks! If you are a young crowd or want to party and enjoy i would recommend this place very mush. Drinks are super good and they have all the classicals. Also you can come here with big groups. Food wise the starters are super good and very tasteful. I ordered the T Bone and I have to say it was not that mush meat on it and that was quite disappointing and the béarnaise sauce was to fatty for me. But the meat tasted really good.

The starter, main dish and sides were very tasty. Service staff was friendly and fast. The main concerns about the experience were the long time it took for the food to be served after ordered and the fact that it’s really loud in there. But overall a pleasant experience. The price follows Amsterdam standards for the quality you get.

Amazing cozy bar with a fantastic outdoor seating area- The burgers were a delight, the bitterballen were super tasty, the fries and mayo was amazing (and I'm not a mayo guy but they have such a unique mayo here!) and the hot sausage with jalapeno was so tasty!! Loved the amount and flavor of each beer too!

A typical cozy brown bar with a sun-filled terrace. The sweet potato fries are done perfectly here - crispy on the outside, nice and mushy on the inside. Service is great, especially if you’re here during off peak hours. During peak hours, it reverts back to typical Dutch service.

I just went there before 11 to sit while I was waiting for a friend, and the lady screamed from inside of the bar saying she was not yet open. I replied that it was fine I was just waiting for my friend in the meantime because we were going to have a coffee there and she said I couldn't sit there. Not even to wait 5 minutes till she opens?? I honestly never had such a bad service in my life. We went somewhere else.

Nice bar close to Ooster Park. Gets the full sun most of the day. Nice cocktails but pricey at just under €13 but that seems to be the same price at other bars. Great cheese natchos, definitely recommend for 2 to share.

Atmosphere was fun but the food and service were terrible. I ordered a simple cheeseburger and French fries. The burger arrived cold and undercooked. We were forced to refill our drinks at the bar because our server was absent for long stretches of time.

Best fries we have had in Amsterdam. Thin cut and crispy. The Avocado toast and open face meatball (Broodje Bal) sandwich were excellent.

Really cool place for a refuge is the cold weather. One can sit and enjoy the atmosphere either many games. Relax, sit your cappuccino and eat apple pie. Great place to unwind and enjoy people’s company

Such a great spot- can’t recommend enough! Cozy vibes and great decor inside. There are a bunch of games to choose from at the front or behind the bar (if you ask). The servers were so kind and helpful. We had a lovely afternoon playing cards and sipping our beverages * bathroom was very clean as well

Excellent place for brunch or an afternoon snack. The staff were friendly and food was excellent. everything was great, but highly recommend the salmon avocado toast and apple pie!

It was delicious! I got a toasty with tuna and my friend had the Club Sandwich, which were two great options. With that we had the Chocolate Milk, an Espresso, Sparkling Water and a Cappuccino, all very tasty. Can definitely recommend for a light breakfast with a great outside sitting option and amazing service.

The quesaldilla was not ready, the cheese was not even melted, and the meat was cold. And everything was cut with a dirty knife, because there were pieces of avocado (and maybe something else) on the flatbread, which is not in this dish. We waited for our order for 30 minutes. We didn't eat this dish, but it was included in the bill

Cool place! Very delicious burger and coleslaw. Big variety of beers and cocktails. If you are in the area and don’t have reservation this place is probably your only chance! Try homemade ginger bear it’s out of this world!

I had breakfast here with my wife and we really enjoyed this place. I had the Bosco breakfast with salmon & my wife had the scrambled eggs with avocado. If you’re looking for a nice laidback place with great atmosphere & chill music but quiet enough to enjoy conversations with friends or date this place is highly recommended. The staff here are all very welcoming and helpful. The food is pretty good too.

Great place for an outdoor drink when the sun is shining! Very large garden area with seats and parasols. Order from your table and the service is very efficient. Great views across the water and plenty of people watching. You can access it very easily from the ferry which runs continuously and is free! Had a very enjoyable evening here.

The food and ambiance here is very nice! Had a great night and tried some interesting things. But the staff were talking very nasty about people. We sat next to the place where the servers were standing, and they were all the time talking about how weird people were or deciding with rock paper scissors who would have to go to the table with the “weird” people. So it was a very bad experience on that part.

The “nachos” dish on the menu unfortunately didn’t match what you’d expect. It was just a few plain tortilla chips served without cheese, sauce, or any toppings. That’s a bit disappointing, as this shouldn’t really be sold under the name “nachos.” The rest of the experience and service were okay, but it might be better to list this dish as “tortilla chips” instead, so expectations are clear. The location is nice.

Restaurant is located at a very good spot: opposite Amsterdam Central Station, facing IJ/ships movement, very nice and spacious terrace but inside it's cosy and comfortable too. Nice, fast and helpful staff. Good food, lots of vegan and vegetarian options that cost less than the animal options. We had a great time at a fair price and will definitely be back!

Very disappointed in the loaded nachos. Too wet. Guacamole was creamy and abundant but no flavor. A glob of melted cheese was unappetizing. The salsa was sweet. Ugh. Consider a recipe that has more appeal. They were really the worst nachos I’ve ever had. Even hot sauce on the side (which wasn’t offered) would not have rescued these slimy nachos.

Atmosphere is definitely unique : spacious restaurant area in intimate lighting, plants wall ; outdoor seating relax and more of a sunny sunday feeling ; bar is cosy and classy, with area for live music. There is an elevator to access the restaurant (otherwise main door is reachable by outside stairs)

Definitely my go-to brunch place whenever I’m in Amsterdam ! Everything on the menu is delicious, some of my favorites include 'give peas a chance' and the veggie burger. The coffee and cocktails are always great too, highly recommend overall !

Grabbed brunch here with some friends and what a treat this was! The service was friendly, the ambiance inside and outside was great, and the food was delicious (especially the breakfast sandwich). The Bloody Mary was also delicious and spicy. Will definitely be returning!

We had a delicious brunch here on a day where the restaurant was unfortunately understaffed due to unforeseen circumstances. I appreciated their candour about this, and was impressed by the staff’s ability to multitask under such conditions (full house). As always, incredible food with a taste from home for us Aussies, always a great price and friendly service with a smile. Despite the staffing issues we still could not fault the service one bit. A true gem in the neighbourhood, and an awesome dog-friendly option in an area sometimes known for less dog friendly attitudes.

Very nice breakfast - we had the big weekend brekky and eggs benedict with salmon. Coffee was also very nice. *As an Australian couple visiting Amsterdam I can't say the menu was particularly 'Aussie' if I'm honest, but we still very much enjoyed our brunch. Thank you

The Drovers Dog restaurant on Atjehstraat looks very nice inside. Unfortunately, our visit in September was defined by extremely long waiting times. We waited almost an hour for our food, and the drinks were also very slow to arrive. When we asked, we were just told it would be ready soon. It would have been helpful to be informed about the wait time beforehand. Due to the poor organization, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Went here with my sister and had such a great experience. We ordered the Give Peas a Chance, the Breakky Roll and a couple of coffees — everything was fresh, flavourful and perfectly done. The Aussie-style coffee is outstanding (and so hard to find in Amsterdam). Service was warm and attentive, and the whole place has a real community feel. The sunny morning terrace is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the weekend. Dog friendly as well, great for our little chihuahua Sunny - can’t wait to come back!

Unfortunately, this was a really disappointing experience. The waiting time for something as simple as drinks and food was unreasonably long, and it felt like the staff didn’t care about the delay at all. When the order finally arrived, both the drinks and the food were nothing special — especially considering the high price. Definitely not worth it, I won’t be coming back.

Really loved the atmosphere, there was this one point where they played the same four songs, but then it got resolved. We were stuck in a corner, but hey, the place was packed and we didn’t make a reservation so, I would recommend making one. We went on International Margarita Day, hoping they would have some promo going on. They didn’t :(, my friends didn’t like the margaritas, they were kinda strong, but I still drank mine trust. The nachos were good, however the drinks were pretty costly, and the food somewhat as well.

A lovely tropical fusion vibe. Lovely place with good food and great prices. The waiter are super nice. Pay attention on how much you order since the portions are quite large. There are plenty of vegetarian options, but it's not a vegan place. The fries have a lot of salt on it. The place gets crowded easily after 7, even on a Monday so I would make a reservation or come early.

It's cool but it will be nicer if you add some more lights in that area next to DJ so that looks more like a dance space. Just had drinks so can't say about the food. By the way the caipirinha was the best.

Have been back after its new mgmt 4 times since it first changed. Once, soon after the mgmt shift, twice in June and July and then again this past week. In June and July i was surprised by the great portion sizes on the appetizers and meals as well as the tasty and full pulled beef tacos, but this last visit ruined it for me. They switched to ground beef tacos, which reminded me of a “sloppy joe” sandwich in taste and quality. I couldn’t finish it. Plus they severely lowered the portion size for things like the calamari - which used to be a mountain on the plate, great value for price. This past visit there were a small handful of calamaris (maybe 10). It almost looked like we got a plate left by another group after they left. Overall a bit bummed as my friend and I brought more friends for drinks and board games and were raving about how the quality had gone up, just to see it fall down again. Service is really great all around, but the food quality and portions will have me choosing elsewhere

Great place with great atmosphere. Big selection of drinks and snacks. The terrace is definitely the highlight of this place. Staff is very nice. Cocktails are great. Liked the option of scanning the QR code to make an order without waiting to be served. Food is so so in my opinion. Especially chicken for 10 euros. 4 slices 😂 Steak was not steak but only the name. In general the place has a great potential and attracts a lot of people. One of the best places to go during summer.

I really liked this place, the atmosphere is very youthful, you can appreciate the sunset is you sit in the outside tables, enjoy the music, but if you prefer the inside it’s cool too, with nice lights and decoration. The way to order is really modern, you just need the app or the website to choose your beverages and food, pay through credit or debit card, no contact is needed, which is highly appreciated during this times. The time to serve food is short, that’s nice too. The place crowds a little bit so I recommend to arrive early.

We had a lovely lunch here in the sun on their terrace. Easy to scan the QR on the table and then order your food. They’ll come bring it outside of course. Also big portions for lunch. Only downside was the coriander on my avocado toast but I guess I should have come up with that myself and asked about it. If you can, please put it on the ingredient list of the menu because it’s the sort of ingredient you either love or hate (for me it tastes like soap). I still rate it 5/5, great place for having drinks!

Good place. But sometimes overcrowded, so it is the reason for slow services. Waiter forgot to bring a bread about which we asked twice, and wine which we wait more than 20 minutes. And we received an order after asking an another waiter. In general place is nice and has an interesting location. Waiters were in biggest part nice and pleasant. Good place for drinks, but not for food.

The inside of the restaurant is stunning, super well taken of and very modern and elegant. The food was delicious, good portions too. The staff were super attentive and very friendly. The menu is however limited so don’t expect a full usual menu, but you can see that they make the most of what they serve, as it is super good.

The place has a nice industrial feeling. The service was good. The food was not worth the price, we tried different dishes and they were not impressive. Presentation, size and taste were lacking. I would not recommend either the rhubarb dessert. The chocolate one was okay. The rib eye was full of fat and soaked in sauce like a soup, and tasteless. However, the staff was very nice to make up for that.

Had the Omega-3 breakfast at Vinnies and it was absolutely spot on — fresh, tasty, and beautifully put together. The service was warm and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. A great spot in Amsterdam if you’re after a healthy, satisfying start to the day

Enjoyed breakfast twice at that lovely place. Service is great. Ordered pancakes and granola. Both very delicious! Also had the cinnamon bun. Heavenly! Must eat on site as they get heated in the oven and than caramelise nicely. Next time in Amsterdam we will be back for sure. Highly recommended!

It's really a find. A pretty big space with separate sections and a big bar with a lot of beer options. Of course they have their own beer and few other guests as well. The hosts are really friendly and have knowledge on what they are serving. There are also food options and it is good. They also have a few board games and cards, so a nice place to hangout with friends and chill.

We had so much fun here! Local brewed beer and awesome fries! The fries was amazing and everything we needed after a long day of walking! Our waitress was so cool. We joked a lot with her, and after encouraging her to giving a speech after successfully lighting a candle (she had trouble) we made her a napkin flower and a tip! None of us were drunk only happy and joking 😉❤️ Worth a visit!

I spent about 3 weeks in Amsterdam right on Tweede Van Swindenstraat and De Eeuwige Jeugd was a good spot to relax and have a drink, I went a few times. The atmosphere during the day is pretty relaxed, not super full and a good place if you want to check out a local footballing experience at a bar. The beer is from a brewery of the same name and it's very good. At night it feels more like a real bar, with music and lights. Food wasn't anything special as it's not their focus but still good enough to accompany the beer. The burger itself was just ok, but the bitterballen were great, including the vegetarian ones for those who like that option. Definitely stop by the bathroom as the ambience with the globes is something unexpected but pretty cool.

Well-located bar on the edge of the hipster Oosterpark, nicely situated on the corner. The bar is named after the brand of beers they sell, which have odd names (see the photo of the menu), such as Gleuvenglijder (which I won't translate for now), but taste really good. Surprisingly for a bar, the food is good. We had a lovely pizza, but the burgers look good too. The only downside to the Eeuwige Jeugd are the wooden benches on the side of the terrace, which are quite hard in your back (and lower back 😃). So, sit at a table...

This place is just as random as it is great. Atmosphere: Bar vibe up front (DJ setup in the evening), but in the back it’s decorated with a cozy bed & breakfast living room style. Fun date spot to chat or play darts, board games and a personal favorite - shuffle board! First place in Amsterdam I’ve seen with shuffle board! ❤️ Decorations are very random but hilarious - see photos - globes hanging from the ceiling in the hallway, nature/floral print wallpaper in the back rooms, naughty “peaches” all over the girls restroom. 😎 Staff: Cordial and regularly came to check if we needed drinks. Food: Was tasty. Bar snacks. Meats, cheeses, bitterballen, poutine/fries!, meat & veggie burgers and other vegetarian options.

Tasty beer, cute interior and heated terrace. Good number of vegetarian options and above average nachos! They even have a shuffleboard table. Would be great if they had a clearer cocktail/liquor list, and sometimes the table service is a little slow. But overall a fun spot in the neighborhood.

After arriving in Amsterdam, I really fancied some pancakes and being a very short walk outside of the station this place was perfect. It was a little busy when I arrived however I still got a seat straightaway. Firstly just want to say that the staff were brilliant! Really friendly and helpful, they were always smiling and created a nice atmosphere. A great selection of food and drinks are available but I went for the basic maple and bacon option and a coffee. The coffee arrived almost straight away and was lovely. Like I said it was a little busy but my pancake arrived about 5-7 minutes later so still very quick service, and these were equally nice. Really fluffy and just spot on. It was a really good sized portion, (I got through about 2 and a half of them before they beat me) and the bacon wasn’t quite as snappy/crispy as I like, but they were nicely cooked and tasted great. And to top it off, after I paid they gave me a nice little keyring to remember the place and I personally love it when places do things like this. It’s just a really nice touch and I’ll always remember this place when I see it, and it really set the tone for what was an awesome day in an amazing city. 🙂 When I’m next in Amsterdam I’ll definitely be coming back here. The only thing I can say to just be aware of is if it’s busy, it can be a light bit tight if you sit outside as you’ll be sitting quite close to others. For me it wasn’t a problem as I’m not very big, but there was still a little bit of manoeuvring to get in and out, but the food and service you get is top notch so well worth it. In fact while I was eating a couple turned up with some suitcase and the staff offered to keep the cases safe inside so they could sit outside. Thank you Pancakes Amsterdam for a memorable and enjoyable visit.

That said, turnover is decent, and the staff manage the flow well, so wait times aren’t usually too long. Overall, a relaxing and reliable spot for pancakes in a prime location. Friendly service, tasty options for different diets, and a cozy vibe make it worth a visit — just plan for crowds and come early if you want a guaranteed table. Highly recommended for a casual, delicious pit stop by Centraal Station.

Overall pretty good experience. The food was good, there was wide range of options on the menu. I got something basic, but looking at the food on other tables some of the pancakes can be quite decadent. Coffee was good here, with options for oat or soy milk. I will say the temperature inside the restaurant was very hot and a bit of airflow would have made the dining experience more pleasant. The servers were nice, but limited interactions with customers because it was busy.

You can't go to the Netherlands and not have a Dutch pancake, and you shouldn't go to Amsterdam and not have one at Amsterdam Pancakes! Short queue, worth the wait, had one savoury and one sweet between us and some refreshing lemonades. All delicious! Would definitely come again and keep working through the menu - lots of tasty classics and modern combos to try.

I recently visited Pancakes Amsterdam and it was such a delightful experience! The Dutch pancakes we ordered were melt-in-your-mouth and with just the right balance of sweetness. I tried the Dutch pancake with sweet strawberries, hazelnuts and whipped cream, and it was absolutely delicious. The presentation was lovely too! Portion size was generous. The atmosphere of the shop was friendly and inviting. Staff were attentive and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Overall, I’d highly recommend Pancakes Amsterdam to anyone looking for a comforting brunch spot or a sweet treat / savoiry pancakes any time of day. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of their menu before my holiday comes to an end!

Went to Pancakes Amsterdam for a solo dinner and had a decent experience overall. I was seated quickly and the waiter came by within about 5 minutes—friendly enough, though didn’t introduce himself. The wait time for food wasn’t too bad (around 20 minutes), and the menu does a good job of explaining that the pancakes are made fresh, so I knew what to expect. I ordered the ham & cheese pancake with a fried egg. It was okay taste-wise—not really my thing, but that’s on me for picking a savory option. I’d definitely come back to try one of their sweet pancakes instead, which seem more popular. Really appreciated the smooth contactless payment option at the end. Overall, a solid spot to try Dutch-style pancakes in a relaxed setting. Also love the outdoor of the restaurant!

Great spot! They’ve got an awesome selection of beers on tap and the ravioli was really good, super fresh and tasty. Nice vibe and friendly service too. Definitely coming back!

Very decent cocktails and good food, I can definitely recommend the place! We enjoyed our boozy brunch there (note: by default they give you food and coffee menu pages, but you can ask for additional cocktail menu. Ask, cocktails are good and fairly-priced). The atmosphere is nice, it’s very green and not as loud as some other places - feels like you’re in a park.

A lovely cafe with greenery. Ordered a cider and it came quickly. It's delicious. I don't feel rushed at all either, its as if I could stay for 10 minutes to over an hour.

I really love this place I have been twice now and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. They have a wide selection of cocktails and also virgins cocktails. Really cute place to have lunch or for some drinks in the evening with friends.

very good nachos! be aware, the jalapeño is spicy and there’s lots of it. one of the waitresses ignored us, forgot about us, didn’t confirm our order and just left mid-order but i mean the other one was really nice.

It is one of our favorite affordable place to hangout with friends. The outside has heaters that makes easier to stay outside. The prices are affordable and the taste of the dishes are good.

Had an absolutely great evening visiting Venster 33! The food was excellent, we took the carpaccio and burrata for starters and pulled chicken buns for mains. Everything was delicious 😋

I don't often eat at cafes that also have a limited menu, but I was attracted by the outdoor seating (and indoor was as good as empty anyway). I had a vitello tonnato to start and a bun with pulled chicken as main course. Both delicious, and served by very friendly personnel!

Nice place to have a bite & a drink, good quality food, but nothing extraordinary. It’s a bit pricey, but what you geed is just a very ordinary (but still good) dish. The place is also generally good, looks like any other hipster place, which is not bad considering it’s quite clean, well-maintained, and the service is quick and welcoming even on busy evenings. All in all, I’d say it’s a great place to have a nice dinner & beer with a big company.

Location: close to the famous Albert Cuyp market and the Heineken Experience. Big terras where you can enjoy the outdoors. Staff: young partly experienced but friendly. Food: of good quality. Prices: moderate. Nice place to spend some time and enjoy the local atmosphere.

This place was outstanding! My wife and I had been in Germany and Amsterdam for the past week, and this was our last meal before leaving. Talk about saving the best for last! The restaurant has a cool, hip vibe. Nice and dark, but enough light to see and eat. The menu was wide ranging, from Asian (Bao sandwiches) to Mexican ((nachos) to Dutch (Bitterballen). All of it excellent! Even the fries were the freshest, crunchiest, and tastiest we’ve had even in the US. Drink menu is also extensive. They had a drink with mezcal that was smoky awesome! Highly recommended!

There’s a spacious terrace that’s perfect for enjoying the nice weather. The menu offers a good variety, and everything we tried was delicious. Especially the burgers, which I highly recommend. Great value for money, and the staff is young, friendly, and attentive.
