Wellness hotel
Seven Hotel & Wellness is an upscale hotel located in San Bartolome de Tirajana (Maspalomas), catering to gay men and offering a luxurious and relaxing experience. The hotel features understated quarters, a heated outdoor saltwater pool, a gym, and is situated next to Maspalomas Golf Course. Guests can enjoy spacious rooms with furnished porches for private relaxation while taking in beautiful views.
We had such a lovely time over the long Easter weekend. The location is very central and private, and because it's in an otherwise residential location, very quiet. I would recommend renting a car (parking is plentiful outside the property) but if you need a taxi, they come very quickly and most were under 8 Euro per trip. Our friends had a villa with a separate living area, which was very nice, and definitely what I would book next time. The king room we had was very comfortable, but it's just a Studio space. Each room has a little patio with a table and chairs. The air conditioning is silent, strong and SUPERB. That made all the difference, even though the temperature never really eclipsed 23 degrees outside. We were worried that because it's a gay resort, it would be one big gay club 24/7. That is not the case at all, I'm happy to say. Men from their late-20s through early 70s were there, in all shapes and sizes. It was very nice to see and be part of. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the incredible staff, which made all the difference. They are attentive, fun and friendly. The food was very nice, with a great breakfast available, as well as a menu for lunch and dinner which catered to many dietary needs and hunger levels. Will definitely go back again with a bigger room.

One of the best gay resorts anywhere in the world. Warm/excellent service from all staff. Nice restaurant, with better food in general than restaurants at Yumba Center. Stylish, well-furnished rooms. I stayed in the Villa which was super quiet, and had a very comfy bed (something I can be picky about). I had 3 excellent massages during my 1 week stay.

The best gay hotel I've stayed in and one of the best hotels overall.  The place is great,  really relaxing and friendly.  The rooms are really comfortable and beautifully decorated and also very well maintained and cleaned and the staff really are amazing. I lost my wallet in the taxi from the airport and the staff managed to track down the driver from my credit card and arranged for him to bring the wallet back, and all without even asking, they volunteered to do it. The restaurant is also very good,  probably the best meals I had in Gran Canaria. I really can't recommend the place enough.
Rob S — Google review
Absolutely LOVE this place. The team are wonderful, so friendly! The gym is good, food incredible and the salt pool is lovely. Rooms are light, clean and airy. Great for a day trip too! €20 for a day pass or €40 with a two course lunch and drink included! I come every year on a solo trip and always make great friends! See you soon!
Dave H — Google review
Very nice hotel. Large pool, feet are everywhere, unless you're under 1.50 meters tall. There are plenty of spots for sunbathing, reading around the pool, or further away, depending on your mood, on a deckchair, a double garden bed, or a large round mattress. The staff is helpful and very friendly. The facilities are very clean. The breakfast buffet is very well stocked. The rooms are large and functional. We just wished for curtains on the bathroom and shower windows to block out the lights that shine outside all night. Hence the availability of blindfolds in the rooms. The staff is numerous and communicates loudly from the start of the shift until late in the evening, which is a bit disturbing when you want to sleep in (bring earplugs). Our stay was disrupted by construction work on a building within the hotel grounds. There was noise from drills, grinders, and angle grinders during the day. It's an unbearable situation for a guest who wants to rest. We would have liked to have been informed of this when booking or upon arrival.

[Nicolas and Sam, du 9 août au 16 août] A great enjoyable stay 🥰! The staff are very attentive, both at reception and at the bar! One of the cleaning staff looked after our room really well, he was lovely! The team were also very helpful in organising airport-hotel transfers and car hire on site. About the hotel's facilities: the swimming pool (and jacuzzi) is great and pleasant with a little background music coming from the bar. The view is unobstructed and it's great! The food is very good and so are the cocktails! Special mention for the breakfast every morning! The only point we can mention is perhaps a lack of atmosphere in the afternoons and evenings (no events or entertainment offered during our stay). Nothing too major but it would make the hotel more fun! We had a massage in the basement which was nice but we didn't have the chance to try out the sauna next door! About the room: it met all our expectations, the air-conditioning was efficient and very quiet, the bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. Thank you seven hotel 😍 !!
Choco T — Google review
Visited the place only during the day, and instantly, I was smitten with a great, friendly atmosphere. Very good food served in restaurant. Large pool, vast area where everybody can find own space to relax and enjoy the sun. The place is an easygoing and highly recommended spot for a holiday.

2Axel Beach Maspalomas

Hotel
Axel Beach Maspalomas is a laid-back apartment hotel in Gran Canaria, known for being a hotspot for gay travel. The hotel offers an outdoor pool, spa, and sauna, making it an ideal choice for both gay and straight guests. Situated in the south of Gran Canaria, near the iconic Maspalomas Beach with its unique landscape of desert and beach, the hotel provides a perfect retreat.
The staff were amazing, very attentive. Only issue is DJ Lucky is quite annoying. The rooms are a little dated and require some touching up. I came here alone and made lots of friends, it’s a great place for solo travellers to meet people. The food at the pool bar was very expensive but it was okay. The drink prices are on brand with Axel and are quite expensive. The pool and outdoor facilities are great, well maintained and kept clean. However, there is a lot of promiscuous activity in the sauna and steam room towards the afternoon and evening. Over all, a very good hotel and will return.
Aaron P — Google review
I’ve stayed at Axel before and overall it’s usually a good value for the money. The weekend is definitely pricier than weekdays, but the location is great. This time, I rented a cabana daily since I like to keep to myself and do my own thing. What struck me as odd, though, was the inconsistency in pricing at the bar. Drinks seemed to fluctuate between €0.50–€1 each time I ordered the same thing, which I didn’t mind too much at first. Every morning I ordered an iced latte with two espresso shots. I was consistently charged €4—until Thursday, when suddenly the same drink came to €6.70. I paid without fuss, but later checked the menu. Nothing listed came close to that price, even if doubled. Espresso was clearly marked at €2 each. By that math, my drink should be €4, not nearly €7. When I politely pointed this out during my second order, the bartender gave a long, confusing explanation and insisted that the other staff had been charging me wrong. Instead of acknowledging a mistake, he doubled down, even bringing up his 20+ years of experience to make it seem like I was mistaken. It came across as dismissive and frankly scammy. I don’t mind paying more if that’s the actual price, but what bothered me was the inconsistency, the lack of transparency, and the feeling of being taken advantage of—especially since every single drink I ordered varied in cost. It left me questioning whether intoxicated guests, who are less likely to notice, are being overcharged as well. I do want to note that the front desk staff as well as the cleaning staff here very nice and friendly. I also had a massage and that was also great. I don’t like to let one thing ruin an entire experience but the one thing I struggle with is feeling taken advantage of. I don’t care if the coffee was 20€ and that’s what the menu read. What I don’t appreciate is being lied to. If the explanation he was trying to make up on the spot even made the slightest bit of sense I would have understood. Because of this, I decided to move to a different hotel. For me, it’s not about the extra euros—it’s about trust, fairness, and not feeling like I’m being ripped off.

Perfect stay: well located, great staff, nice pool with complete bar, super gym, barber service, fast washing machine and dryer available. nice clean rooms with comfy bed, complete kitchen, great bath and reliable AC. Downside: Street parking available, but challenging and the Minibar should be smaller. I have stayed in August for 10 days and in September for 4 days - both were perfect. Front desk, Breakfast, house keeping or bar ... staff is awesome. Special thanks to Carmen & Raico - both welcoming und very reliable. I will be back!
TJ P — Google review
Another fantastic stay however what made it 5 star this year was the fantastic service by Mauru. Whenever he was on duty at the front desk we got a nice friendly & warm welcome or telling us to have a great night. Provided great restaurant recommendations to try. A real pro at how a hotel reception should be. Add... I forget to mention i had a massage and it was the best massage ive ever had! He was amazing. Got out every knot and helped me totally relax and for €80 for an hour was what id expect in London but this was 100% better than what ive had in london.
Daniel T — Google review
The receptionists and staff were really nice. The absolute highlight of our stay at the hotel was the exceptional massage experience. My partner and I both had a massage with Hamza, and it was incredibly nice and tranquil, lasting a full hour. The massage room itself was peaceful, and we appreciated being able to choose from a selection of aromatic oils. Hamza was truly brilliant – professional, skilled, and he made it a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience. This was definitely a standout part of our visit, and I would highly recommend it whilst staying at the hotel.
Craig R — Google review
Easy access to Yumbo, walkable distance to the beaches etc. Hetero-friendly hotel that is clean, well presented and has lots of facilities that augment the stay like spa options and a barber on-site. Rooms are a good size, and come with a hob and microwave if you want to make snacks or food. Poolside drinks feel a little more expensive than elsewhere, averaging €12 a cocktail. By no means overpriced, but noticeable in comparison to bars, as you would expect. Highly recommend Axel Beach Maspalomas
Jason P — Google review
While Maspalomas might not be my go-to destination again, I cannot fault the Axel Beach Hotel. It's an oasis amidst the urban sprawl. The pool area shines, with ample sun loungers that are meticulously cleaned daily. The poolside bar and restaurant is convenient and has a diverse menu. All the staff, particularly Alex at the front office, were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Alex's prompt resolution of a room issue was especially appreciated. Overall, the hotel's strengths make it a great choice despite the surrounding area.

It's not my first time in this hotel and I also been in the others Axel hotel in Spain. - respect the room now are dated, it's kind of downgraded hotel - staff still the best point of this hotel, always available and helpful - WROST point, not about money but about how a hotel can be stringy and use Ryanair style policy, anything in the room is on charge (no free bottle of water for example) but my big surprise was when I left I was charged 4.5 euro because the housekeeper used the detergent to clean my 2 cup of coffee. So please when you answer the review I need to know (for the future) some answer: - housekeeping not included in the price of room or clean coffee cup is not included as housekeeper (not me) opened the detergent pack (plus is not show in the price lists ) - it is a 'green' hotel? why use detergent as one-use product, with that u can clean 100 plates and the sponge also, so Where detergent and sponge used 1 day from housekeeper go (as you charge if opened I guess you will throw or someone will use and for what)? -Coffee is 1.8 euro in the room, plus clean the coffee cup had a cost (4euro) so why u not include the total price as to clean a cup I had to pay? With that policy I can understand If happen a costumers get upset, not about the money but the stingy you are. I usually stay and try around 100 hotel per year for work and holidays and this is the most ridiculous policy ever (or just put a price like in Airbnb or booking for the cost to add about housekeeping). There are hotel with gay vibes like Barceló that with the same price offer better rooms, nice view and big breakfast (actually the third day I moved out Axel and went there). Regards

Hotel
Nestled in a serene garden, Villa Adler is a charming apartment hotel designed exclusively for gay men. This intimate retreat may be smaller than some of its counterparts, but it certainly packs a punch with its stylish accommodations and welcoming atmosphere. Guests can indulge in a delightful breakfast each morning before lounging by the clothing-optional pool or exploring the vibrant nightlife just 300 meters away at Yumbo Centre.
The Villa Adler Is very nice, you have your own APT and the possibility to have a full breakfast on your own patio served at the time you wish. The rooms are spacious, well furnished and in the kitchen you can find everything if you want to Cook.

Third time staying here. It's quiet and although the pool and roof terrace are small they're usually free as they're not much used... but that can impact on interaction with other guests. It's clean, nicely laid out complex and rooms, great location and nice staff!
Michael O — Google review
Beautifully designed and laid out. Perfect location. Comfortable bed, and great A/C. Kitchen is well equipped, and stocked with needed items. The owner is helpful and responsive to any questions.
James K — Google review
A fabulous small boutique villa complex for men only. Beautifully fitted out, very comfortable beds (and welcome air conditioning in the bedroom too). Bijou but perfectly formed pool with adequate no of sunbeds (and an upper sunbathing area too). Clothing optional. Very welcoming staff. Lovely little honesty bar. Excellent WiFi. Washing machine. Drawbacks? None, really. For those wanting to eat in, there’s a fridge-freezer, small 2 hob and a basic microwave. An air fryer would be nice. It would also be good if there was a weekly get-together round the bar to meet fellow guests and break the ice - but just a suggestion! Clientele while we were there (early October) were generally older male professional couples - 50%+ British, 50%- German. Highly recommended. We’ve already booked for 2026!
Patrick L — Google review
Firstly to say the staff were great - accommodating and helpful. However I found the layout of the apartments to be claustrophobic- staying in the room almost at the end of the path - furthest from the pool - isolating and lacking in much daylight. The breakfast was comprehensive but resulted in a tremendous waste of food - as you were unable to ‘select’ - you got served what the owner thought everyone wanted. Many do appreciate the quality and quantity - but every day sending back uneaten food was wasteful. Had booked for one week and with the issues of isolation and simply feeling so hemmed in I checked out after three days and moved to the Seven in Maspalomas (much more to my taste). It was a pity - there was a great opportunity for it to have been a great week - but as a single traveller you may want to think carefully about how isolating this hotel layout can be. As a couple - no problem. The pool was at the time I stayed unheated (but I believe they have now addressed that). The lounge area around the pool is cramped and only adequate for about 4 sun beds... the only alternative is laying out on your subbed on your front terrace (which has little or no sunshine!) Not everyone likes everything is life - that’s life. And for me, this wasn’t a suitable place to spend a week on vacation.
Anthony H — Google review
A truly wonderful place. Quality calm accommodations. Manicured gardens. Breakfast worth getting up for (from the very comfortable beds) Lovely clear pool. And a staff who clearly care about the guest experience.

Thanks for all the help with everything xx We will definitely come again!!

One week getaway. Second time to this hotel. Definitely worth it as the atmosphere is what we were looking for. Quiet, hospitable and all around great. This time around, all the guests were again very friendly, engaging and respectful. Wish there was a bit more privacy from neighboring buildings. The staff members are the best! Alejandro by far was accommodating and attentive. Pedro and Rodrigo, and Jose always checking in on us. Ricardo from maintenance super nice. Everyone Top Notch!

Brilliant gay apartments/hotel. Just had a wonderful week here for the first time. Perfect gay holiday stay. Rooms are spacious with great beds, sofa in lounge, kitchenette with fridge/freezer and 2 hot plates. Free coffee capsules for coffee machine daily. Great breakfast bag left on each door every day. It is clothing optional (my first try) and most guys went naked which was very relaxing and had some good fun around the pool and jacuzzi. It is in a quiet area and well shielded from neighbours. The jacuzzi and pool are great and also a small sauna. Staff are amazing, friendly, professional and keep the place spotlessly clean. Rodrigo was amazing always smiling and ready to help. Location is perfect - a short walk to Jumbo centre on one side and beach on the other and supermarket close by.

It was my 8th stay at this hotel, as always, nice and enjoyable. I like that it is quiet, clothing optional, relaxed, perfect for some days to work remotely and enjoy sunbathing at the poolside. This time there were troubles with hot water in the morning but I assume it is going to be fixed soon. Special thanks to Rodrigo, Raul, and the third guy whose name I didn't ask - the guys are always friendly, welcoming and helpful.

First time staying at this hotel and it was perfect! Amazing employees, extremely friendly and helpful. I had the most comfortable mattress and pillows I have ever had in a hotel. The hotel included a small sauna, jacuzzi and a great pool with later openings hours compared to others. Complimentary breakfast goodies were a great touch too. I couldn't ask for a better stay. Thank you for a fantastic vacation everyone.

The hotel is situated in a quiet part but it is close to beach as well as to Yumbo center. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly. Many thanks to Rodrigo and Aleyandro who both have " happy to help, everything has a solution" approach, which makes the stay extra comfortable. Everything is clean an well maintained. You can relax and enjoy your holiday to the fullest here. Although officially it is accommodation only, you get every morning a little breakfast treat which is extremely cute.
Boris S — Google review
The hotel is gay men only, and nudity is allowed in the pool, jacuzzi and sauna areas. It is conveniently located close to Yumbo, Cita, the promenade and the beach/dunes. The service is exceptional, rooms are cleaned on demand to great standards, fresh towels/beddings provided, and the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and make you stay as pleasant as possible.
Cristiano T — Google review
Welcomed by the lovely Rodrigo, and looked after all week, nothing is too much trouble and makes you feel at home. One of the most relaxing clothing optional apartments we know of. Clean, quiet. Lovely pool area and pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Quite music played around the pool area that is in the background and not ruining your relaxation. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with all you need to cook with an electric hop and microwave and fridge with a small freezer compartment. Aircon in lounge area but still cools the bedrooms. Safe and secure. No bar or food service but shops and supermarket close by. Pool towels provided. Rooms cleaned daily. The morning breakfast bag in your front door each morning with rolls, butter, jam and patè, fruit and a fruit juice is a very nice touch and very much appreciated. Highly recommmend, sadly as don’t want too many people to know about it. Haha or else we won’t be able to get a room. The was our 6+ visit here. 🥰

Bungalow
Nestled in a serene and welcoming gay resort setting, Gay Hotel Club Torso offers 12 modern bungalows surrounding the pool, jacuzzi, and pool bar. Each unit features its own terrace, with additional amenities including a gym area, small sauna, and dark room. The atmosphere is relaxed and non-judgmental, making it an ideal spot for first-timers to Gran Canaria or those seeking a carefree getaway.
First time at this cozy, friendly and comfortable complex. Adam and Patrick will welcome you and help you always with a smile. 12 bungalows nice decorated, wgite fresh, clean towels ( not like some other places where you get blue or grey that after one use smells like a wet dog) warm pool and jacuzzi, A/C basement playroom. breakfast every morning and you can arrange transfer back and from the airport. Since they are small is quite hard to book. So plan ahead! Definitely coming back! 😘😘😘🙁
Mr A — Google review
First of all a warm welcome was given. Check in takes a bit long (30min). The staff is nice. The complex is smaller than you might think but it has a cosy feeling. Most people are relaxed so you can chill most of the time. The breakfast is a bit hectic as it has self service in a very small area where you cannot be with more than 2 people at the same time. This is especially difficult as you are expected to cook/boil your eggs in that area. What takes time. Who wants to make his own breakfast in a hotel? The pool is heated. And the jacuzzi is nice. The rooms are regularly cleaned and fresh towel upon request. The only negative was that our room (402), has a big humidity problem in the bathroom, kitchen and bedroom. The bottom of the walls were all pealing off. You see it from the terrace in the kitchen. Especially in the bedroom I did not like that. It should not be. I do not know what the condition of the other apartments is but this one is to avoid booking. I have doubts about the darkroom basement. I have not seen people going there. Allover a nice place to stay. But at least apt 402 needs to be dealt with regarding the humidity problem.

Nothing really bad, but nothing totally good. It’s small, quiet ( too quiet for me ) 12 bungalow , only 6 occupied during my stay for fetish pride , where all others gay resorts were full… ( that’s why I was here… ) + Bungalow very confortables and clean, Playroom in the basement - cold Pool , jacuzzi bubbles on request only, sunbeds too close to bungalows, not easy to get a good sun exposition . not enough space around the pool. The employee stay all the day seated at the bar, leaving the customer feeling spied on. Breakfast too light , bad coffee … A red flag… ask 2,20€ at the check out for the pool towel !!! Really ? with more than 200€ a night for the stay ? Never saw a resort(gay or nor… ) in maspalomas who ask a fee for pool towel. Value for money is finally not good enough . Other resorts give more for the same price and even less.
Jean M — Google review
a very peaceful place .. while it as 12 rooms you hardly see anyone (maybe 6 people max at the pool) ... around 17:00 the sun goes away and then it is 100% empty. Breakfast is very nice by the pool. It is about 20 min walk to downtown maspalomas and about the same distance to the beach. While they do not offer daily house keeping the nice guy working there will provide towels upon request. If I have one suggestion is to request a room other than 401, the bathroom window, somehow, opens to their kitchen.
Christophe D — Google review
Liked it so much I booked a 2nd week. Richard, Roman and Bart deliver exceptional service... place is spotless, rooms cleaned daily and the food is so much better than expected. Such a quiet chilled vibe yet €4 in a taxi to Yumbo or a 20 or so minute walk. I now dont imagine I will ever book anywhere else for my holidays. Thanks Torso Team!

Fabulous one week stay here, rooms are perfect and all located around a lovely pool and jacuzzi Everything is clean and meticulously looked after by Dennis and Adam who make you feel so welcome The food selection is great too, all cooked fresh on site and better than the local restaurants especially Dennis’s Bitter Balls ;) Thank you for looking after us guys xx

A great gay resort. Relaxed atmosphere and for first-timers to Gran Canaria and 'gay holidaying' we felt relaxed and not judged. Nudity is welcomed and embraced by almost all with judgement. Even those who burn or don't feel completely comfortable going 'the full monty' are encouraged to not worry. Breakfast is the usual continental fayre and the is a wide selection available. The pool and jacuzzi are clean. Each villa is serviced daily by a helpful domestic technician daily. The 12 villas are self-catered with all utensils and an induction hob. The bar is well stocked and have cute and friendly staff serving you. For the more adventurous there is even a dark room and 'entertainment' area down stairs. Overall, a fantastic place for a relaxing holiday. We need to book for next year as I imagine they book up soon, we will be coming back!

Seaside Grand Hotel Residencia is an oasis of luxury and tranquility. It’s the kind of place designed for true relaxation — no crowds, no chaos, just peaceful elegance. The property feels intimate and exclusive, with shops and restaurants just a short walk away and the beach only 5–10 minutes by foot. The atmosphere is serene, and while the crowd skews older, I didn’t mind one bit — it added to the peaceful charm. The breakfast buffet was exceptional with champagne, mimosas, and cooked-to-order dishes, and dinner was a highlight every single night. Definitely opt for half board so you don’t miss the incredible BBQs. The spa deserves its own applause — sauna, steam, salt room, cold plunge — I went every day and left feeling completely rejuvenated. I also appreciated the no-phone rule in public areas — it truly encourages you to unplug and be present. The staff here are next-level, learning every guest’s name and making you feel genuinely cared for.

I visited the hotel only for short term. Unfortunately, the lady at the reception had a bad day or I don’t know why she was so arrogant. Not helpful at all. The hotel is very nice but for this money you could expect the receptionist to be nice to you.

What a wonderful experience - my husband and I have just spent a glorious two days (not long enough I hear you cry) and I cannot recommend this majestic hotel highly enough. My travel agent let it be known that it was a special Birthday for me and Grand Hotel Residencia went above and beyond to make it super special!! Thank you from my heart, I’ll never forget the excellent service from the friendly staff in Reception, the Pool Bar, the wonderful Betina, Miguel and crew. Eros and staff at the restaurant, the piano bar and the friendly room attendants. Nothing was too much and I’m truly grateful to you all. You deserve all the accolades, including awards for the excellent food from your hardworking chefs. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We have just returned from a week long break at this fabulous hotel - a truly wonderful hotel in a magical setting, exceptional and genuinely, friendly pro-active staff, eager to help at every turn, excellent food throughout the hotel - main restaurant, pool side and room service. Super relaxing holiday. Hotel centrally located BUT very peaceful, day and night - lush and beautiful gardens maintained daily. Genuine thanks to everyone at Hotel La Residencia for an amazing holiday. Your efforts are very much appreciated. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Great and quiet resort. You can relax here at your terraces or at the pool. Friendly staff. A car is handy although this place is walking distance from the dunes and beaches. A local shop is 2 minutes walk

We stayed for one week in March 2025. Have been to Gran Canaria lots of times before and would say this was our favourite accommodation sofar. We would definitely recommend rainbow golf and will definitely be returning. The accommodation is clean, comfortable, well equipped and good value for money. Staff are very friendly and easy on the eye. The complex has a nice relaxed atmosphere, the pool is clean and has plenty of comfortable sun lounges. The Jacuzzi is heated. Generally, people were naked around the accommodation. Good location 15 minute walk to Yumbo or 4euro in taxi. 10 minutes in a taxi to the beach. Supermarket two minutes walk across the road.

Is a great place to stay in maspalomas, very friendly and welcoming staff, and good atmosphere. The superior room was very good size and had everything you need, there is just few things to improve, some of the furniture should be updated, also in the kitchen the microwave and toaster were very old, when it comes to toiletries I personally prefer when they are new and close rather than refill. And just one plug far from the bed in the bedroom but when I mentioned that to the owner he brought and electrician the next day and start to fix that in all bungalows so that's a great response and sign of care. The complex has a swimming pool and jacuzzi with towels to use free of charge, lovely garden around the whole resort and daily cleaning service. Bed was very comfortable, big tv with free private channels and a lovely terrace with sunbed included. Location was better than a thought, in the map did look a bit farther of everything than other gay men resorts but in fact is just a couple of minutes difference of most of them and closest to the yumbo than many, yumbo center is just 15 minutes walk or 4 euros taxi, very close but without the noise, the gay beach is a good 40 minutes walk, it is a long walk but not just for this resort, it is for most of the of them as you need to walk through the dunes to get there. Overall they have a good complex with great staff, plenty of facilities and very good value for money. 👍
CARLOS B — Google review
First time here, stayed 4 nights with a friend and we loved it. Really charming resort and such a relaxed friendly atmosphere. The staff were so lovely and made us feel really welcome. Location is good too with supermarkets close by and the Yumbo a 10/15 min walk or short taxi ride. We loved it so much we've booked again!

Fantastic bungalow complex, catering specifically to gay men. Apartments are well equipped and are good value for money. The bungalows are in a great location in Maspalomas, 15 minutes walk to Yumbo, 30 minute walk to the dunes. Staff are friendly and helpful. Management take time to speak to guests every day. The clientele is a good mix of chatty, fun guys, along with quieter ones, who keep themselves to themselves. Great place to spend a holiday!!!
Keith — Google review
I chose this place due to being not too close to the centre of Maspalomas but still walkable, and also due to other reviews of the place. It had a really chilled atmosphere and it did not let me down at all. The staff were INCREDIBLE from check in to check out. It felt more like staying with friends and family rather than simply renting a bungalow. Hanging out with staff and guests by the pool was just such a natural way to spend a few days in Gran Canaria. Clothing is optional on site and for my stay, that was the norm, which was very comfortable. The layout of what is essentially a gated community meant I could spend my nights just chilling on the terrace with a glass of wine. This was the ultimate relaxation trip which I will be repeating annually at least.
Andrew D — Google review
It was a lovely and nice experience in this bungalow resort. Antonio the owner is one of a kind. A lovely person. He gave us the quickest and best solution to our slightest problem. Nicko and Mike at the reception made our stay as comfortable as it got. The cleaning service is also very good. Nice place, spacious and comfortable rooms, nice guests, great atmosphere. A really good experience.
Thanos K — Google review
I spent 4 nights and found the hotel very relaxing. The bungalow I stayed in was well equipped and very comfortable. I'd definitely be happy to stay there again. Although this is a gay men's resort which is clothing optional, I definitely don't think the place is sexual at all. I didn't see anything "naughty" going on at all. They have a 'play room' which I didn't see anyone using. So definitely a place to relax, rather than getting up to mischief!! One thing I didn't like was they charge you to use the safe. That's just mean in my opinion, I'd rather they scrapped the complimentary bottle of cava and made the safe free! It's not enough for me to knock down my rating, but something for the owner to consider perhaps?

This was our second time at this wonderful hotel and we are definitely coming back! After not so pleasant experience at the other hotel on the island, we had a magnificent and relaxing stay at Bohemia. This hotel is a true 5-star with wonderful decor rooms, beautiful premises and the most important of all, amazing and kind people working here! I can absolutely recommend this hotel to any looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The only minor suggestion for improvement would be the gym. While still being nice and well-equipped, some of the machines show signs of age and need to be updated soon.
Dmitri S — Google review
The stay exceeded what I expected. From the moment I got there the staff were helpful and the vibe relaxed, it definitely felt like a haven of peace in a developed area (not that the area was too crazy that time of year). The member of staff who checked me in (I believe her name was Sara) then proceeded to answer a million and one of my silly questions throughout the week with patience and really help me plan getting around the island, as well as recommended great local places to eat outside the restaurant, as well as cool places to visit that locals know about, can't thank them enough for all that. The rest of the staff from the pool caretaker/lifeguard to the staff working in the restaurant were so attentive and pleasant they even remembered my order from the day before (can't remember the gentleman who served me each day but he was amazing also the food is great), truly they were a pleasure, the staff are simply the best. The actual hotel is great, the rooms are really spacious and comfortable and the balcony is a great extra. The cleaning staff do a great job keeping it all spick and span. The pool areas are great, there are a range of pools and areas to enjoy lounging. The gym is pretty good and the masseuse is fantastic. Plus the hotel is like a 5 minute walk from the beach, basically I can't fault it from my perspective.
Farzaam A — Google review
I booked this place for a quick getaway as a solo traveller. Check-in was easy but the doors to the room were very heavy so I thought I was locked out (you need a good push). My room was relatively small but as I was alone it was okay, I can imagine two people may trip over each other if shared. There were Molton Brown products available in the bathroom: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, bar soap. There were towels and beach towels, robes and slippers. Unfortunately there was no remote in my room to use the TV but I didn't bother to alert hotel staff as I wasn't going to use it anyway. Breakfast was a semi-buffet but a la carte hot items. You need to be specific as to quantities otherwise they will bring you only one of what you asked for. The service at the pool bar was very slow. I ordered a cocktail, two people arrived at the bar after me and they were both served and billed settled before the gentleman at the bar informed me that he couldn't make my cocktail and I had to order another one. This was highly frustrating after waiting about 15 minutes. The food was average, I would personally recommend going to nearby restaurants at the beach for tastier food at a fraction of the price The location was great and had all I needed nearby. Overall I would have appreciated it to be adequately staff. The staff I did encounter were all lovely

Love, love, love this hotel! If you want to chill then this is definitely the place to be! Staff are wonderful! Rooms are gorgeous and the overall ambiance is perfect! Lots of lovely art. Ate the breakfast which was wonderful and a great range of hot dishes. Enjoyed lunch at the bar! The food was really tasty. Just a tiny moan about the gym which looked as if it had had a flood recently and needed a bit of attention! Maybe I am being a bit picky as I used it everyday!

Have had an amazing short stay at the Bohemia suits, end of June. We went for my sister's birthday for a weekend getaway, & got delicious food, good ambiance, attentive staff both at the reception and at the restaurants. Delicious Breakfast selection, and diverse menu for the dinner at the 360 Restaurant, the cocktails were amazing, would definitely recommend! They have been attentive enough and prepared a nice sweet surprise for her in the room which was absolutely delicious! Easy walk down to the ocean, and to the Mas Palomas Dunes. From our balcony we had views of both which were stunning! Highly recommended!

10/10 would not recommend this place. This is definitely the most loosely labeled “resort” I’ve ever been to. I’ve never been to a place I’m paying so much money for that has so many stipulations and rules. First, what people said is true in the reviews. It is very quiet here with 95% of the customers being elderly. There is a strict dress code for attending the restaurants where you have to where pants and a T-shirt. Problem is, I didn’t bring pants because I’m on a hot desert island on vacation, I had to borrow some to get in. There is no convenience store in the resort to get drinks or snacks, so if you need to get a late night beverage or munchies, you have to go into town. The restaurants are only by reservation, no walk ins. The food is as bland as bland can be at every single restaurant. The buffet only serves breakfast and dinner and the restaurants only serve dinner. If you want lunch you have to walk out past the pool where they have a small menu for poolside food. The pool is awkwardly dead silent with no music playing for atmosphere, I’d be fine with even classical music. They have a poolside bar but WONT LET YOU BRING YOUR DRINKS IN THE POOL. When we tried, we were told we had to get out. This is supposed to be a vacation but it felt like daily we were being told we were breaking a rule or we were being inconvenienced. Spend your money elsewhere at a place that knows what the word vacation means. I’m all for rules and keeping things orderly but it needs to actually make sense which most of these rules did not. “UPDATE: Response from the owner 2 hours ago Dear Ryan, We are saddened to read that despite our efforts and the goodwill of our staff, we have not been able to meet your expectations and you have not found anything positive about our hotel. Regrettably, the information provided is not accurate, since we have snacks 24hrs a day and beverages: Domestic and international drinks served 24 hours a day, regularly restocked minibar and liquor dispenser, as advertised on our website. We are very grateful to for staying with us. Best Regards, Hotel Riu Palace Maspalomas Online Reputation Manager” RESPONSE FROM RYAN: This information is indeed accurate. So either you do not know what you’re talking about or your staff doesn’t, as I one late night coming home from the bars went to the lobby and asked the worker where I could get a Diet Coke and a snack and they said there was no where on the property that could accommodate me as everything was closed. So before you respond with even more horrible customer service, know what you’re talking about. This is just another example of how poorly you treat your customers. What a great response you just gave.

Another Exceptional Stay at Riu Palace Maspalomas! This was our second visit to the Riu Palace Maspalomas, and once again, everything was absolutely exceptional! From the smooth check-in to the seamless check-out, every part of our stay was a pleasure. We were even given the same room as our previous visit — Room 1087 — which has amazing sunset views. I highly recommend requesting this side of the hotel if you're after a beautiful evening view. The hotel itself is immaculate — spotless, well-maintained, and a true credit to the brand. All the staff, across every department, are simply wonderful. Friendly, warm, always smiling — they embody what great service is all about. You can truly tell that they are proud ambassadors of the Riu brand; hospitality runs in their blood. The food is superb! From breakfast to dinner, the quality and variety are excellent. The buffet changes nightly, which keeps things interesting, and there are also two fine dining options included in the half-board package if you want to mix it up. Drinks are the only additional cost, which is totally reasonable. There are two pools — a main pool and a smaller one — both are fantastic, clean, and well-maintained. The pool bar, which also serves lunch (extra cost), overlooks the dunes and makes a perfect spot for sundowners. The only downside — and it’s something we encountered on both visits — is the issue with sunbed reservations. Unfortunately, people continue to leave towels on beds early in the morning and disappear for hours, making it difficult for other guests to find seating. While the hotel policy says unattended towels will be removed, we did not see this enforced. In today’s hospitality industry, this behavior is increasingly being addressed by many hotels, and I believe Riu should take a firmer stance on this. It’s time to empower pool staff to act on this policy and create a fair experience for all guests — not just the early risers. Despite that one issue, we had another wonderful stay and will definitely be returning soon. Thank you to the entire Riu Palace Maspalomas team for making our holiday so special again!

Lovely hotel. Staff are very friendly. They are out to fleece you at every turn. Half board and you have to pay for water at dinner. If you want to rent a Balinese bed by the pool it’s €50 per day. It is not a cheap hotel but this sort of thing makes it feel you’ve paid budget and then everything on top is paid for. Expensive, and yet makes it feel cheap. Not recommended.
Edd P — Google review
During my stay at the Riu Palace Maspalomas, I encountered some disappointing customer service. While reception was responsive, there was a distinct lack of empathy and a disingenuous approach to resolving issues. Conversations felt more like scripted interactions than genuine attempts to help. Upon arrival, I was assigned a ground-floor room despite upgrading to a sea-view room. When I asked Sabrina at the front desk if the dunes were visible, she assured me they were, but the view was obstructed by a garage with only a portion of the dunes visible. I returned to explain, but Sabrina maintained both the dunes and sea were visible. She told me the hotel was fully booked and no rooms would be available until the next day, adding she couldn’t offer a refund for the upgrade and suggested I speak to the manager, Marrisia. When I returned later, Marrisia still hadn’t arrived, and I was told to check back in another half hour, leaving me frustrated at the lack of resolution in the first few hours of my holiday. Thankfully, Adam from Bell Service, along with his supervisor Toni, helped me resolve the issue. Both Adam and Toni assisted with the room change and even reached out to corporate on my behalf to arrange for a refund of the upgrade. Their personal attention and professionalism were a bright spot in an otherwise frustrating arrival. Additionally, the housekeeping staff and the restaurant/bar wait staff were fantastic. Both teams were attentive, friendly, and always eager to make me feel comfortable. The hotel has great potential, but the front desk staff could benefit from some improvements in guest relations.

Amazing experience. 2 weeks full relaxation. The highlights were definitely the team Macu, Felipe from the pool, Daniel, Ferdinando, Yessica and so many others. Also please pass on a big kudos for all the housekeepers the room was everyday in a pristine condition. The food was also great. My only 2 notes I think water fountains to reduce bottled water usage in the restaurant in the outside area would be amazing. Plus, the pool should be available until 20h. All that said, I will definitely comeback and aim for a room with a see view! ☺️

Just got back after 2 weeks at this hotel with my husband. Absolutely amazing holiday! I was sceptical at first about Maspolamas but after staying in the Riu Palace Maspolamas, I can honestly say we loved it! The hotel is beautiful, immaculate, modern and amazing views. The staff were very helpful and friendly and worked hard to make sure everything was 5* standard. There was so much choice in the restaurant and the 2 a la Carte restaurants were just fantastic. The only downside I could think of is that the drinks were quite expensive and you have to pay for your evening meal drinks. If you have the riu class app you can gain points that can be used for drinks, which was great for us. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and would definitely go back in the future.
Sarah G — Google review
The hotel is 5 stars hotel. No single use flip-flops. Nice view if you get the view to the dunes. Staff is OK, sometimes you can see that they are nice just to be nice and it is not real smile Breakfast is pretty much the same but it is consistent. Lunch is not included. Diner is different, variety of meat and veggies. Desserts are meah, like the ones sold in Lidl. No texture, no taste, sponge-like taste. A lot of cream and whipping cream with different flavours. Fruits are ok. A big minus for the big sunbeds which are for the "rich" (50 EUROs to rent u less you stay in the expensive suites)- which we were not told and we tried to stay there and had to leave. Drinks are not included in the rooms or at dinner or during the day. I would recommend for the experience but not more than 5 days. As a couple, being adult only hotel it can be boring. The only beach is quite far so by the pool all day it a too much. Go and explore other stuff

Los Almendros is a complex of LGBTQ+ friendly bungalows in Gran Canaria, offering a relaxed and intimate atmosphere for the gay and lesbian community. The well-equipped bungalows come with full kitchens and patios, set amidst extensive tropical gardens. Guests can enjoy the pool, which also features an XXL Jacuzzi serving as a great meeting point for mingling with people from different nationalities. The staff is known for being helpful and friendly, ensuring a pleasant stay.
Nicely placed between the beach and the Yumbo, I liked this place first time that I returned 7 weeks later. I have rebooked for April 25 since I returned. Staff couldn’t be more friendly and relaxed which is all you ask for. My only down this time was the pool needed a bit of a clean round the outside especially as there were not that many guests this visit

For my birthday in March we flew from Aruba to Gran Canaria, this was our first time in GC. We stayed at Los Almendros and we had a wonderful time. The bungalows with private terrace, are completely up to date, everything was spotless clean and the property looked very neat. The staff was very friendly, we had rented a car, but we did not need it, everything is within easy walking distance, opposite Cita and Yumbo less than 10 minutes walk, close to the dunes. All kinds of good restaurants in the area. But also at Los Almendros itself you can have a good lunch and delicious drinks. We are already planning to come back in November, this time for a longer holiday. sunny greetings Auke & Mike

I go there since 9 years 2 or 3 times per year. I love it there. The space is very nice and you can have privacy. Even the bugalows are out of time, everything should be renewed starting with the bathrooms and it is too expansive for what you get, I feel home when I am there. Even the staff changes a lot, the people I deal with is very very! nice and friendly. My last experience: To "thank" me for my loyalty, they cancelled 1 week of my last December reservation (made in September) because they had overbooked the hotel. The boss, who ever that is, did not even bother to say "hi" or "sorry". When I am there, I don't expect much and just want to have a relaxed time but that time was a complete flop. I even left 3 days earlier than planed. I still would recommend the hotel. Cheers

The bungalow has been recently "refurbished" as announced from the website (few furniture and the curtains) however, toilet, wardrobe and kitchen still the one from the beginning of 2000! I don't know why but my toilet has been taken over by 30/40 little flies (every day they're increasing the number). They cleaned the room every day (except weekends) but I stayed almost for two week and I have to ask them to change the toilets towels and bedsheets! Overall great place to stay (especially if you are on the area behind the sweeping pool (very quiet). The bungalow facing the pool can be a bit too "intense" with people, music etc!

I've been here a few times as a day guest at the pool. The entire complex is beautiful, clean and very well maintained! The staff at the bar are extremely friendly and the lifeguard looks after everything and cleans every sun lounger after use. Thank you for this excellent service 😀

We enjoyed a great stay here, easy going, well looked after enclosed private complex with 33 bungalows and just 10 minutes easy walk from the infamous Yumbo. Daily cleaning staff were thorough and pleasant and it was easy to get a sunbed by the large pool and jacuzzi. We had a great bungalow with private terrace which was quieter than most being at the second row from the pool, which we were really happy with. It's a great place to meet and talk with fellow guests. Across the road from the Cita it was easy to get supplies if you wanted to eat in and a shorter walk to the dunes and beach than staying close to the Yumbo. The kitchen had all the basics, bedroom had a comfortable large bed, and there was a great shower. Internet was free and good signal, and you can easily login to your Netflix, Disney or Prime account on the TV. Definitely booking here again.

Wonderful 10 days staying here, the staff are very helpful and friendly. Just 10min walk down from Yumbo and 10min up the beach. Rooms are a good size with great Aircon. My only issue with the rooms would be the tiling in the showers, great for grip so not slippery but for a gay clothing option resort they present unique challenges. Saw some people complain about noise, found it to be very quiet here a few cars/trucks during the day but otherwise it's very chill vibes.

Seaside Palm Beach is a casual resort with colorful quarters and three restaurants, outdoor pools, a spa, and a gym. Guests can also access facilities like a tennis court and DVD library at the neighboring Seaside Palm Beach complex.
We stayed at seaside palm beach maspalomas for 9 nights, what a lovely relaxing holiday, the hotel is immaculate, our superior room was on floor 4 and had a lovely view of palm trees and the main pool, it had a neat tidy bathroom with everything you need and a large room with balcony, The staff are all lovely, especially in the dining area, Christian was made for his roll of assisting customers finding the perfect spot for dinner, he's always smiling, great guy, Lisa was lovely and crina and the young lad herodee I think his name was were attentive to detail, we used the spa pool and the treatment room, very professional, The food was amazing, there's entertainment every evening, and a musician playing during evening meals, The hotel is in a perfect position for the esplanade or the beach. The management ask how you are during dinner, the lady with the amazing glasses and matching scarfs was really friendly and the man who's worked for different chains of hotel but fits perfectly here is a genuine guy, all in all it was a perfect holiday, one day we will return, thank you

Good Pool spa and food quality Now the rest: Stayed 7 nights at a supposed 5-star resort; service and hospitality did not meet luxury standards. • On arrival, staff gave information sheets but offered no explanation of facilities. • About 90% of guests were German; felt excluded and overlooked. • First night: Husband denied restaurant entry over shorts despite inconsistent enforcement—others wore sports attire and flip-flops. • Asked to pay extra to dine elsewhere where they did allow shorts, even though meal was prepaid. • Promised compensation for the incident; nothing provided. • Hotel director was cold and condescending, offered criticism rather than apology at checkout. • Restaurant service left side: waited over an hour for food, no drink refills, ignored by staff. • Right side: Crina provided exemplary service—attentive and professional. • No drink menu or price transparency during dinner; charged at checkout. • Pool bar banned swimwear, even for kids—impractical and detracted from a relaxed resort vibe. • Food and spa/pool facilities were good, but poor service, rigid rules, and unfriendly attitudes ruined the experience. • Lack of warm, genuine hospitality means we will not return.

Really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. You have to take some care in choice of room to avoid noise from the evening entertainment (see below) but the staff went out of their way to accommodate our wishes. In fact all the staff were excellent and I particularly appreciated their patience in helping my practice my hopeless Spanish. The pools are heated and comfortable for swimming and there are daily activities like Tai-Chi. There’s also a small sauna area which is open 1600-2000 in the evenings. The area around the saunas is a clothing-optional sunbathing area during the rest of the day and it’s very peaceful there. The spa is adjacent to the sauna area and is open most of the day. Massages are good but quite expensive (€140 for 75 minutes). Overall an excellent holiday and we would definitely go back.

We stayed at the Seaside Palm Beach at the end of October, and it was one of the most relaxing holidays we’ve had in a long time. The hotel is great – the 70s theme is very cool, especially the vibe and décor of the formal bar. Would highly recommend going All Inclusive – we got really good value out of it. Our favourite part of the day was lunch at the pool bar, where the food was excellent! The premium drinks package was also above expectations, with Taittinger champagne on offer. The breakfast and dinner buffets are top quality, and the two à la carte restaurants are well worth a visit – especially since one visit to each is included in the All Inclusive. Lastly, it’s hard to argue with the location. The sand dunes national park next door adds to the tranquillity, and there’s a fantastic one-mile promenade walk along the clifftop to the next beach resort. If you can get a beach-view room, the sunrises are spectacular. Overall, a strong recommend!

The hotel, food, location and friendliness of the staff resulted in booking another two weeks while I was still staying. I basically went home, washed all my clothes, repacked the suitcase and was booking in two weeks after my first holiday. If you want a relaxing resort with local shops, cafes/restaurants and bars the location of this hotel is idea. Playa del Ingles has cheaper shops and is a short bus/taxi ride away. Allergies are clearly labelled. There's always enough available during breakfast and themed BBQ nights. Set menu nights are always delicious and the waiting staff also went back to the kitchens to double check the gluten free option just in case. Do be forewarned that drinks with your evening meals (and probably lunch that we didn't have) are not included in your booking, this is the only criticism and I suggest an obvious sign somewhere (or I may have missed it in the small print :D ). Also on the lower floors you may be kept awake by the entertainment but you're on hols and you could easily shift your body clock or snooze on the sun loungers the next day. Additionally, there are three fitness classes available every day included in your price, hosted by the glorious Stefan - tail chi, aquarobics and yoga. We're so impressed we've booked twice for 2026!!!

Being our second time to the Seaside Palm Beach, it once again was 1st Class. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the barbeque nights were the best we had ever experienced. Adult pool so relaxing. Weather gorgeous. We were part of a group of 12 and cannot wait to return to this unique establishment. Well Done !!

We are happy to be back here again after so many years and nothing has changed - we are choosing Palm Beach for about the seventh or eighth time. Great atmosphere, excellent food, friendly and helpful service. The environment is beautiful, clean, cozy, the sea is very close as well as the promenade with shops. We look forward to coming back next year!

Food - perfect Staff - perfect Location - perfec Entertainment - loud till 11pm! So if you have small children or you would like to rest - forget it. Thats impossible. BIG worry - staff entered the room when no one was in to rearrange clothes on balcony! When I came in all was changed. Apparently clothes were visible through the glass so not looking great - still, will not return to the hotel which is not communicating and treating guests like children. A BIG NO!

Hotel Nayra I is an exclusive adults-only property located in the vibrant center of Playa del Ingles, Gran Canaria. The modern 4-star hotel offers a sleek and relaxed atmosphere with comfortable rooms for guests aged 18 and above. Its prime location puts guests within walking distance of numerous bars, nightclubs, restaurants, and stunning beaches. The hotel features a heated outdoor pool, buffet restaurant, pool bar, therapeutic massages, and a chillout area for ultimate relaxation.
Had a week in this hotel and it was fantastic. The place is spotless and the staff are very friendly. While the location for the nearby bars and clubs is fantastic, the hotel itself is peaceful and calm. Lovely to get a break from the nearby business of the Yumbo. One thing I would love to see added - a hot tub next to the pool. The pool itself is beautiful but I did miss the added luxury of a tub!

Cannot recommend this place enough. This was my first time in Gran Can as a solo traveller. I wanted somewhere quiet and not overcrowded but with the option of evenings out. This place didn’t disappoint, the rooms are perfect, clean with seating outside your door pool side or more private out the back with your own small terrace. Staff are all really friendly and the food is fantastic. Although the Yumbo centre is right behind here you can easily escape the madness back at Hotel Nayra. The pool is perfect and i spent most days at the pool which never seemed to get busy so no fighting or reserving sun beds is needed. Theres a small gym downstairs too. ***** 5 Star!

Detailed review based on a couples stay but also first time in Gran Canaria. The first night we arrived we were given a room in the annex which had broken air con. There was an attempt to get resolved by the member of staff at the time who moved us to the next door room but the air con was not on so the room was over 26 degrees which is not the best when you first arrive. We were told to leave it to cool the room so went to grab some food and then returned with no change. We were told at the time that there was no other rooms available. Due to breathing issues and pure discomfort we spoke to TUI who then said they would resolve it. This resulted in us being moved to the main room (strange how a room became available) where it was much more fresh and comfortable. We appreciated Angel (night colleague) who helped us feel much more comfortable. He was brilliant and supportive. Moving forward as hiccups can happen the hotel itself is lovely - breakfast is wonderful and the chef is fab always happy and polite. Fresh eggs and bacon to order! Pool is lovely and no issue with getting a sun bed. Lovely mix of people staying. Rooms were also modern with a good shower and useful facilities. Gym was a nice touch as were the other food and drink items (very reasonably priced too). We had wonderful service from the waitress staff who were just kind and happy! Location is nice with close proximity to the dunes, supermarkets and some lovely restaurants. I think south of the island is much more vibrant with culture and have some real gems to see but that is purely my opinion. The reason this is not five star for me is, one we were celebrating my husband’s birthday so the start of the holiday was quite stressful. Although eventually resolved we noticed that some of the reception staff were not as proactive or supportive as others. It didn’t feel as though there was an above and beyond reproach to help first time visitors just settle in. Second, the language barrier aside as we used Google translate often to help with communication (technology is brilliant when it comes to helping with this) - We requested a late checkout (due to a very late flight) the first night we got there and were told we would need to wait until Thursday when we left. That is fine due to bookings etc, but what became an issue was an incoming heatwave where temperatures reached nearly 36-40 degrees with humidity and not being able to have a place to even cool off. We were told that we have to leave the room promptly due to somebody who had booked the room we were in. Now take aside the time it takes to clean a room, I can’t understand why there is no rooms made available for at least guests to cool off. The only option was to book a shower downstairs and walk across the lobby after a dip in the pool to do this (not very convenient and also rather messy for the hotel). Late checkouts with notice should be honoured or the very least provision made to make guests feel comfortable. We were given a room again as I had informed TUI until 2.30pm. What made this worse is we saw no one actually check in to our room until the time we left for our flight at 5.30pm meaning we could of stayed cooler and comfortable in the heat without a fuss. Being repeatedly told it’s hotel policy is problematic when it comes to extreme heat and people with medical issues. We witnessed another guest being asked to vacate their room despite a migraine. We advised them to speak to the front desk but they weren’t given any extra time for that guest to just fully feel better. Personally I don’t think that is ok and would strongly advise amending your policy in extreme heat by simply making a few rooms available for guests to at least be more comfortable. Overall I wouldn’t probably return as customer service in my opinion is a make or break of your holiday, but I do appreciate some of the staff there who really put their heart and soul into what they do. We personally thanked each one who did that and if you amended your hotel policy we would consider returning.

Great hotel, adults only in the heart of Playa Del Ingles, right next to Yumbo (3 min walk) - it's so quiet you'd never know! Room is lovely with silent Aircon that kept the room perfect temperature throughout our stay. Small fridge, large wardrobe and safe. The rear enclosed garden with electric canopy is amazing addition for a bit of peace. Pool is so quiet in the day, enough beds for everyone staying at the hotel. Breakfast is different each day, the chef will make omelette or pancakes on request. Ask the hotel about airport transfer before you arrive, they are much cheaper and great service than a taxi. Small niggles such as two single beds pushed together which is annoying.

A fantastic hotel, minutes from restaurants, bars and shopping centre. But once the door is closed, as quiet as can be. Lovely food served up to 19:00 with great staff. Secluded private courtyard out the back of your room for that all over tan. And the best bit, adults only with no screaming children. It's our second visit now and it's just as good.

Nestled right in front of the vibrant Yumbo Center and just a stone's throw from the stunning beach and sand dunes, Aqua Beach Bungalows stands out as a favored destination for gay travelers in Maspalomas. This exclusive gay-only hotel embraces a clothing-optional policy throughout its grounds, creating an inviting atmosphere for guests to unwind.
Being at Aqua beach is so much more than just a holiday. It is a wonderful experience in a relaxed and calm atmosphere. The room was fantastic, the staff is super friendly and helpful, the food at breakfast and the pool bar is absolutely great (and reasonably priced). The pool and jacuzzi as well as the closed beach area are a fantastic environment for proper relaxation. The overall atmosphere is so authentically relaxed that in the beginning it was hard to believe that it was real. We are definitely coming back next year. Thank you for the great time we had!

I’ve just returned from a 19 night stay and I must say the place has really gone down hill.firstly the cleaning of the apartment is non existent. The cleaner only comes in every other day if you are lucky and then spends no more than 5 minutes doing the bare minimum. Secondly the bar food prices have become ridiculous. January last year a Tuna baguette cost €5.20 this year it was €9.40! Hardly anyone was ordering food and it’s easy to see why. The towels you rent are worn and frayed and all need replacing. I have been a regular here over the past few years but this will be my last visit. I spoke to other guests who also said they will not be returning due to the decline of the place and the increasing prices. I paid €199 per night to stay here and whilst I can afford it I believe that it is no longer value for money. They even want €54 for a taxi to the airport when the taxi rank is right opposite the apartments and they only charge €35. I honestly believe that most of the reviews on here are not genuine. I’m sure the management that sit in the front office doing absolutely nothing all day make up fake names and email addresses to write 5 star reviews. This place is on the road to closure under the current management. I can only hope that they sell it and that the new owners restore some pride in the place and provide a service worthy of the cost to make it worthwhile staying here again in the future.

I don’t really feel comfortable here. Usually I spent a lot of money at the bar but here I was not really motivated to do so. You want air conditioning? Pay extra(11€/day). You want to check out a little bit later though the resort is empty? Pay extra. You want to go the gym after 8pm? Nah it’s locked now. You need a towel for the pool? Pay extra. I mean if the resort was cheap to begin with I would say okay but it’s not.

We always stay here for the relaxed atmosphere and the location for the Yumbo . There is lots of space and everywhere is kept very clean and tidy .The staff are excellent very friendly and helpful . The only thing I would like to see improved is the quality of the bed linen, duvets and pillows . They are very much in need of being replaced with new ones . Apart from that everything perfect .

Those negative review complainers must have a personal issue with this place… we have a great stay. Booked the Superior Room, well decorated, clean, everything works well and the bedlinnen is now-a-day. Okay, drinks and food at the bar are ‘on a 2025 price rate’… but hey, do you pay the same price at home last year? Life gets more expensive year after year… get used to it. We definitely will come back!

I've stayed at thus resort four times. It is on the more expensive places to stay and is very convenient for Yumbo centre. Sadly the place is tired. The bungalows are generally well furnished but require some maintenance. 1. The shower was full of mould below the door and also you can see a huge amount of caulk covering mould along the shower tray/edges. 2. The bed linens were cheap and tawdry. They must have been on this island for decades. Same with towels including a ripped hand towel we recieved. 3. The owners sits in his office at front of resort and along with his young boyfriend they only come to the bar to give "tired Eric" a break. 4. Stop buying cheap plastic lawn size animal ornaments. They look very tacky. 5. Room cleaning was minimal, maid departed and I finished dusting, under sofa, dining table frame, over dining table lamp, under bed.....etc... Finally my partner caught ringworm probably from the jacuzzi/spa. A fellow traveller also got conjunctivitis in one eye. Probably as one guy had half his hand up someone's arse while in spa on multiple occasions. This is a busy place and the men are mature and quiet. They advertise an extensive menu at the bar/kitchen but I would not eat here. Someone ordered chips/fries and the smell from the old oil in deep fat fryer put me off. Finally, unfortunate that if you arrive after 6pm you must pay 70 euros to take their private taxi. You are charged to use the safe in room whether you choose or not, same with a/c. So owners need to take some rooms off-line for serious maintenance. Oh and get rid of that grumpy polish guy Eric......he is beyond his sell by date

Terrible experience! I’ve left the day after I’ve arrived and had to find another accommodation. Old, smelly, rusty and dirty. Rusty windows on the room and bathroom so didn’t dare to open. I had to have shower with flip flops trying not to touch much the old whitish contain. Doors totally dirty from years of use without maintenance. Kitchenware totally old. Rusty toaster, super old disgusting coffee machine. They say “breakfast included” and the so-called breakfast is an insult. Very rude reception. Did not care at all when I mentioned I was not happy with the bungalow and the ants inside after he told me I had to pay to use the safe. When I asked if the bungalows were cleaned every day he told me to try to find the maid and ask her. When very quietly I told I might make a complaint about the property he just said “you should”. As a frequent traveller never had such an awful experience. Fortunately I’ve managed to find another accommodation and left. Shame on you, your property, your staff and your lies.

The bed in the bungalow was full of ants, and we had many bites. I live on the island, so I know the climate, and I expect insects, but this was 100s of ants. There was no one to help at 7 pm, so we slept on the floor and a sofa. Someone arrived at 2 pm the next day, and we had to insist on another bungalow. The most annoying thing is no one has responded to me from the hotel. I worked 30 years in the hotel business, and I never ignored a guest, even the bad ones. Friendly staff and lovely grounds.

The Lopesan Baobab Resort in Meloneras is an upscale African-themed hotel that stands out with its unique appearance and safari lodge style staff uniforms. The resort offers a taste of Africa on the island of Gran Canaria, with its Africa-themed decor and design. It features 5 restaurants, 4 bars, and over 500 rooms and suites designed like a Serengeti safari lodge.
This resort is absolutely stunning — beautifully designed with a unique African theme that sets it apart from any other place we’ve stayed. The attention to detail in the architecture and landscaping creates a luxurious, tropical atmosphere that’s both relaxing and exciting. The rooms were spacious, spotless and very comfortable. The food was excellent, with a wide variety of options at the buffet. Everything was fresh, tasty and well-presented. The pools and common areas were always clean and inviting, and there was always something to do - whether you wanted to relax with a drink, explore the grounds, or head out to the nearby beach or local attractions. The staff was also amazing. Every team member we encountered - from the front desk to the restaurant staff to the housekeeping team - was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming.
Ramona C — Google review
The hotel itself is stunning – truly breathtaking when you arrive. Facilities are beautiful and spotless, housekeeping is excellent, and both food & beverage are of a very high standard. Staff are kind and welcoming. However, two areas fell far below the 5-star level: • Entertainment Team: While the team is friendly, the activities I attended felt unprofessional and unprepared. For example, during a stretching class, the instructor was simply following a YouTube video instead of leading the session with proper knowledge and technique. In the aqua dance class, the lack of rhythm and repetitive steps made the experience feel improvised rather than engaging. I believe a stronger focus on assigning the right staff to the right activities would significantly enhance guest satisfaction. • Spa: Unfortunately, the massage facilities was the weakest point of my stay. No personal consultation, no questions about health or needs, just a robotic protocol delivered with little care or skill. The massage itself was rough, impersonal, and far from relaxing. Overall, it felt like a basic massage parlor, not at the level of a 5 star hotel, and it does not match the otherwise excellent standards of the hotel. If I was the GM of this hotel, I would be embarrassed to have this kind of service in my facilites.

A truly unique hotel. It is beyond our expectations in terms of design. It was built in 2009, as it shows a bit (the TV was not smart, but you can mirror the phone), but it depends what you are looking for. It features many pools (two of them are like hidden gems, as they are a bit remote and more quiet). The breakfast was tasty, many options to choose from, no complaint there. You need to wait to be seated and after 9 am you might need to wait a little longer, still not too much. The staff was friendly enough and smiley often. The buffet dinner was good, if you eat there every night you might get bored. We got only 3 dinners (they have an offer, one dinner= 45 euros per person or 3 dinners = 32 euros per person without drinks) and it was enough. There are many restaurant options in the area. There was some entertaining every night, some more "attractive" than others, but all in all a good plus. There are also day activities for adults like aqua gym, pilates and also for kids. And yes there are a lot of kids, so it can become noisy at the restaurants or around the pools. The prices at the bar and a-la-carte restaurants were fair, nothing too pricey. Overall, a hotel worth the stay. Enjoy!

Very nice entrance, design, and great pools! An interior garden with turtles, this felt unique. Food was great( only had breakfast here) On the down side, our room had a horrible smell- 2123. Also saw a kitchen cockrage on the table at breakfast, which was desgusting, to be honest. Curtains in our room were damaged, mold in bathroom. Most of staff very helpful and pleasant. Location within walking distance from beach and many restaurants.

Gorgeous grounds, but the quality has dipped significantly. This was our 7th time staying at this hotel, and sadly, the experience has fallen far below the paramount standard it once maintained. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the hotel’s unforgettable signature scent and welcomed with complimentary sparkling wine and a tropical juice for our children — a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. The wristband room keys are an excellent idea, removing the stress of misplacing cards; however, the lifts not requiring key access could pose a safety concern. We were also surprised that no assistance was offered with our luggage — something that, in previous years, reflected the hotel’s five-star service. Our rooms were beautifully presented, and the main bed was extremely comfortable. However, for two adults and one 16-year-old, the foldaway bed was of disappointing quality and certainly not reflective of a luxury resort. Towels were very small, and despite multiple requests for larger ones, only hand towels were provided. Bathrobes, which used to be replaced daily, were no longer included. Guests should also note the limited plug sockets and consider bringing an extension lead — and their own towels. Another major disappointment was housekeeping. Despite leaving the “make up the room” sign on our door, our room was ignored twice and left completely uncleaned for two consecutive days. This lack of attention is unacceptable for a hotel of this calibre and shows how far the standards have slipped. The hotel itself remains visually stunning, yet the excessive dimness throughout, particularly in the refectory at dinner, makes it difficult to appreciate meals or even see the food properly. Around the pool, the scarcity of sun loungers was frustrating — we had to gather scattered loungers from different pools just to sit together as a family. Most disappointing of all was the pool bar service. The staff’s attitude was to an abysmal standard, far removed from any form of professional hospitality. Their conduct was discourteous, dismissive, and entirely lacking in care. After waiting over 30 minutes for a single pizza while others with larger orders were served before us, we politely enquired twice about our food and were met with indifference. The staff visibly ignored the kitchen alert that our order was ready; one employee even opened the food lift, looked directly at our meal, and then shut it without serving it. The disdain shown by the woman with black curly hair and grey glasses was frankly deplorable. Overall, I am deeply disappointed by the dramatic decline in service quality for a resort that once represented luxury and excellence. After many years of loyalty, I can no longer justify returning to a hotel that has allowed its standards to deteriorate so severely. To management, I am not seeking a reply filled with apologies. I am seeking genuine improvements — including serious disciplinary action and mandatory customer-service retraining for staff. A hotel of this reputation should hold itself to far higher standards than what we experienced on this visit. This request is paramount that as a hotel of this calibre should be implemented.

Beautiful hotel but that's all there is. Housekeeping ignored 'do not disturb' multiple times. Waking us up the first few days, what the ...? There is a lot of noise from other guests which is easy to hear through the walls and ceiling. The beds move easily in every room which also creates a lot of noise every morning. Maybe invest in some rubber mats?A lot of crying, annoying children. The toilet paper unfortunately is as thin as a needle. We had a third party member in our bathroom for the whole vacation, a cockroach. I have visited a 5 star hotel which had a lot more personal attention than Baobab. This is basicly a mass tourist resort with nice looking buildings and swimming pools. Not coming back.

We were very disappointed with how the hotel staff handled a situation between our family and another family during our stay. There were 11 of us at the pool, and when we returned from swimming, a woman was sitting on the sunbed where we left our towel (which wasn’t an issue in itself) My brother politely asked if he could have the towel back as he needed it to dry his baby. Instead of a calm response, the woman became angry and started shouting. My brother simply told her there was no need to be rude and walked away. Moments later, the woman called her husband, who came over in a very aggressive manner — clenching his fist as if he was ready to throw a punch and started shouting at my brother. My brother tried to defuse the situation, saying he only wanted the towel and that it was no problem at all as he could just go to the reception and ask for a new one, and told them to enjoy their holiday . Despite this, the couple continued shouting at my brother, his girlfriend, and their baby as they walked away. About 10 minutes later, a hotel staff member approached us. Unfortunately, rather than resolving the matter fairly, it felt like the staff had completely misunderstood what had happened and seemed to side with the other couple. We were told to be “empathetic because the lady was pregnant” and that the incident had “ruined her day ” (she was the one being aggressive and rude). Pregnancy, is not an excuse for rudeness or for her husband’s threatening behaviour. We were polite throughout, and all my brother did was ask for his towel back. The way the staff handled the situation, appearing to believe the other couple’s version of events without hearing us out, left us feeling disrespected and very disappointed and has completely ruined the day for all 11 of us.

The hotel has an African theme. My only problem with it is that I didn't like the odor they chose. Very gingery, but maybe that's just my preference. The room was nice, big and spacious. Great service.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Playa del Ingles, Gold By Marina Hotel is a delightful adults-only haven that exudes retro charm reminiscent of the 50s and 60s. This stylish retreat features airy accommodations equipped with kitchens, perfect for couples seeking both relaxation and fun. Guests can bask in the sun by the expansive outdoor pool or unwind in the rooftop hot tub while enjoying stunning ocean views.
A week spent at the Gold by Marina hotel was a fantastic choice. The hotel is designed to provide maximum comfort and convenience. Its layout allows guests to enjoy their time in many pleasant and diverse ways, even without leaving the hotel grounds. The swimming pool is wonderfully located and positioned, perfect for a proper swim. There's also a second, shallower pool, surrounded by beautifully designed loungers and dedicated zones for holiday relaxation. A stunning, spacious patio features a well-arranged flower bed that adds to the charm. Next to the large pool, there are wide and comfortable loungers with umbrellas. All around, the area is enclosed with lush greenery, full of exotic palm trees and plants. By the pool, there's also a dining area and a bar offering delicious drinks at reasonable prices. The hotel staff is one of its greatest strengths — incredibly helpful, always smiling, and patient. From the kitchen staff to the receptionists, housekeepers, and the rest of the team, everyone contributed to the welcoming atmosphere. The hotel is very clean and exceptionally well-maintained. There was always someone making sure everything was in order and that guests were comfortable throughout their stay.

2nd time staying at this hotel and we will definitely be back again. Spotlessly clean. Staff are amazing - so friendly and professional. Breakfast is excellent. We spent same days on the beach but on days we went to the pool no issue getting bed. highly recommend this hotel. We stayed in a superior room on 7th floor this time with a lovely view. 4th floor last time - also a great view.

I cannot fault this hotel. The staff were very kind and helpful with any questions or requests. Nothing was a problem for them. The food and drinks were delicious. The hotel is very clean. A real treat to get away. I would highly recommend staying here. My only suggestion is to have a whole double bed rather than two singles put together as they tend to move around sometimes. But I still loved my stay here.

This was the second time we stayed at this hotel and once again we really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are clean, breakfast is great and the staff is amazing. The are all very friendly and did everything they could to make our stay more enjoyable. Special thanks to Eugenio (the bartender) who always had a smile on his face and was quick with a joke:) We will be back!

A Truly Outstanding Stay at Gold by Marina From the moment I arrived, the staff made all the difference—genuinely kind, helpful, and always smiling. Their positive attitude and willingness to assist made it clear they truly enjoy what they do, which is something you don’t come across often. The food was another highlight: delicious, homemade, and thoughtfully prepared with generous and healthy portions. Everything tasted fresh and full of care. Cleanliness across the hotel was impeccable. Every corner sparkled, reflecting a real attention to detail. Breakfast was simply exceptional. I was amazed at how they managed to offer such variety and quality in a relatively compact space—nothing was missing! The live cooking station was a great touch, with fresh eggs made to your preference (omelette, fried, scrambled). And the new "Juicy Avenue" with fresh homemade juices, especially the freshly squeezed orange juice, was a fantastic addition. On top of all that, the bed was incredibly comfortable, with high-quality sheets and a pillow menu that ensured a perfect night’s sleep. I left feeling truly rested. Without a doubt, I’ll be back. This hotel gets everything right!

Fantastic hotel. Very clean and well maintained throughout. Our room was a great size with a good balcony, and had everything we needed. Lovely breakfast served from 8am until midday. Only downside was getting a sunbed as towels would appear from the crack of dawn. It would be good if the hotel tried to stop this. Good location wit lh an easy walk to the beach and local attractions.

First time in Gran Canaria so first visit to Gold. Well what a beautiful hotel, lovely big rooms, great balcony with lounger, well equipped small kitchen, super shower. Rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels & bottle of water. The staff on reception so friendly & welcoming, the place smells gorgeous. My only disappointment was for the full 10 days we were unable to get sun loungers around either pool. It didn't spoil our stay but would have loved a pool day. Hotel in great location to beach, yumbo centre & supermarket 1 minute away from hotel. Would definitely recommend & do plan on staying here again.

Always have a lovely stay here. The rooms are clean. Bed comfy and the air conditioning is a godsend after a long day in the sun! Pool area is nice. Team always really friendly! See you again soon!

It is really good located, the cleaning was really ok, and the staff was really really friendly. Especially a younger girl, Ada i think, that was the sweetest receptionist i ever experienced. We paid pretty much for staying there, so for the price level the quality was not quite fitting. So just lower the price some, so it fits with the standard, then it is a good offer.
Peter G — Google review
Stayed here for 10 days in October, ideal location for the Yumbo centre and a 15 minute walk to the beach. The room was cleaned daily, it was basic but did the job. The decor was a little tired, but that didn`t bother me as i did not come on holiday to study the paintwork! The pool area was nice and clean. Wifi seemed ok too.
Nick D — Google review
Great location but huge disappointment. A very rundown hotel, badly in need of a refurb. Looks more like a hostel than a hotel. TV doesn’t work at all, now on day 3 & waiting for an engineer. The “high speed” wifi is so slow it’s virtually unusable. Upgraded from a room to an apartment. Uncomfortable furniture (sofa & beds) . Took 1 look at the breakfast buffet & opted against paying extra. Nice pool area. Good location for the Yumbo Centre night life. Paid 1600 euros for a week it can hardly be described as good value. Definitely not luxury by any kind of description. Eventually changed room but new room as tatty as first room.

Had a great week from 3/6/25 very impressed basic suite but extremely clean and the staff including cleaner and receptionist were amazing. Had the advantage of speaking Spanish so could converse with everyone. Highly recommend and will stay again soon
Paul H — Google review
The Ritual is a good hotel. Reception staff are really nice and helpful. The rooms are cleaned to a high standard and has good air-con and Wi-Fi. The pool is spotless and a good size. Very close to the Yumbo. I didn’t have an issue with noise. The hotel across the road made more noise with their entertainment on the odd occasion. The Ritual does need a little lick of paint here and there. And the young guy who opens up the cafe/restaurant in the mornings could be a little more welcoming and friendly. However, all in all my stay was pleasant & I’d come back & wish them all my best.

Now we are talking. Back at Ritual Maspalomas, which is located in Playa del Inglés, do not let the name fool you. Excellent location, great staff, nice atmosphere. Tried a rival hotel around the corner recently and Ritual wins hands down. Thanks for everyone, you feel at home checking in here. Great bar, friendly Front Desk, nice pool area and a naturist solarium and at crawling distance to the Yumbo. Love this hotel.

We absolutely loved staying there. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and prices at the bar were reasonable. The only downside was the distance to the shore and Yumbo Centre. Unfortunately, South Gran Canaria is not architecturally pleasant or charmingly walkable.

The place is very well maintained and spotlessly clean everywhere, and staff really helpful and friendly. The rooms are a bit basic but bed is comfortable. Pretty good choice at breakfast if you opt for that, and they cook eggs or omelette to order. There is a Spar shop right next door, in the basement of a restaurant at ground level, but for most other amenities you will need to travel. Some parking available.

I have been here 3 times and I won't be going again, when I first went it was for gay men , not lesbians or any other sexuality. I was comfortable with that, I could spend all day naked, but as soon as lesbians in particular started to invade MY SPACE, I felt uncomfortable. I am a gay man on holiday with my partner of 32 years and I can't have a place that is just for gay men! This is where they went wrong.

What a wonderful experience! The hotel had a great and relaxed atmosphere. The staff were extremely nice and very welcoming. The pool and lounge area were fantastic! The rooms were very well accommodated and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!

A small, somewhat cramped, hotel with little in the way of amenities. Limited space around the pool…..everything a bit “in your face”. Breakfast was mediocre at best, with limited choice, quality and quantity. Location is a bit too remote for my liking. Won’t be returning. Expensive for what it is.

Kate is an absolutely wonderful animator at the hotel. She always does an amazing job, whether it’s the Aqua Gym or the evening shows. She is such a sweet, kind, and friendly person who makes everyone feel welcome. The evening entertainment is organized with so much heart and energy – always fun and enjoyable. Everything she does is just fantastic, and she truly makes the stay even more special. The hotel itself is also absolutely great. This hotel is truly a place we can highly recommend.

What an amazing holiday. The H10 hotel was exceptional. The beds were super comfortable. Our room was spotless and our beds were made up every day. The staff could do enough. The food was excellent, however out of 14 nights there were 2 days that we were slightly disappointed. ( I think that’s us being picky). Have booked again for same time next year. We would normally go to France to a 5 star glamping and my wife would not normally be a hotel person, but we are coming back.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had an exceptional holiday. The rooms are comfortable and spotless, as is the entire hotel and its facilities. The buffet offers an incredible variety of food, and the chefs and waiters are all so kind! Just like every member of the hotel team. Nothing to complain about, everything was perfect!

We're having another amazing holiday with H10. We're currently in room 765 and highly recommend booking Privilege. The Gaudi restaurant is a fine dining experience like no other, with incredible service from Marta and her team. But that's not all - our spacious and beautifully furnished room offers stunning views across the sea. Lunch at the La Brasserie is always a hit, with branded drinks, plenty of sun loungers or Bali beds available anytime. Despite being full, the hotel feels relaxed and inviting with plenty of spots to unwind. The grounds and pool areas are immaculate. Every member of staff has gone above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We haven't had any issues booking any of the restaurants, but Privilege is definitely the way to go. Book it, you won't be disappointed. We're only halfway through our holiday, and we're already having so much fun!. Thank you to all the team 🙏

Great hotel! Would definitely visit again. The food and service have been excellent. Hotel staff are the friendliest and the most helpful. Brilliant stay. Can’t name staff as literally ALL of them were amazing.
Sharon D — Google review
I recently stayed at this hotel and had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing experience. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was calm and welcoming—exactly what we were looking for. The food was excellent throughout our stay. There was plenty of variety, everything was fresh, and the quality consistently impressed us. The hotel also offered a great selection of alcohol, including recognizable name brands, which was a nice touch and made drinks by the pool or at dinner feel a bit more special. Speaking of the pool, there were always sun beds available, no matter the time of day. This made it easy to unwind without the usual scramble to "reserve" a spot early in the morning. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with a smile, which added to the overall relaxed vibe. That said, there were a couple of minor disappointments. The spa area felt a bit outdated, we noticed that some pool tiles were coming loose, which could use some attention. Additionally, one evening was advertised as an Abba tribute night, but unfortunately, it didn’t deliver on that promise. It seemed like a mix-up or miscommunication, which left a few guests a bit underwhelmed. Overall, these were small issues in what was otherwise a lovely and laid-back holiday. I’d happily return and recommend the hotel to others!! ❤️🥂☀️
Alyssa R — Google review
Day one of visit appalling restaurant information for Guadi supposed to be available for dinner but closed for the next two evenings not a good start for a weeks holiday. A little clearer information on sign in would have been helpful rather than the piece of paper just informing about Privilege advantages with little regarding the hotel in general. Had two two days at the buffet restaurant which is one of the best buffet restaurants we have had at H10. Good Italian restaurant on day three. La Brasserie on day four started well but due to miscommunication one main meal was wrong and correction was still not as originally described but to be fair problem was solved amicably. Friday birthday meal in the Gaudi restaurant was good just spoilt a little by the kiddies disco music from the floor below. Will update again but disappointed at not getting a reply to the hotels reply sent to the hotel via email as reply via Google is to a no-reply address. Reply received from hotel positively with an apology and clarification on query regarding use of loyalty voucher which was contrary to and better than the information supplied by Reception staff. Saturday meal at the Sakura left a lot to be desired. Lacking in food quality and entertainment value expected for a Teppanyaki meal. Decided to have lunch and dinner in the buffet restaurant on our last day and enjoyed both. Would probably avoid Privilege on a future visit as the Lounge closes at 8pm rather than 9pm at previous H10 hotels we have visited. Despite all the problems will consider a return visit in the future.
Gwilym M — Google review
I had a lovely time here and was very happy with my choice. The staff work very hard especially at the bars and in the main restaurant, housekeeping and on the grounds. I loved that I visited at a quieter time. Though I didn't get to explore all of the hotel, in my opinion, it is absolutely beautiful. I was captivated by the giant cacti and loved the palm trees and the building’s stonework. Amenities were great, I only had to ask for an iron which was brought along promptly. Reception area and room had a lovely smell. Check-in was slow and had to wait about a hour before my room was ready but Reception staff were friendly and helpful. I had arrived an hour before normal check-in, but it wasn't a busy time and others seemed to be getting to their rooms a little bit quicker. Minor point, but I was told there was a welcome drink which didn't arrive at all in the hour whilst I waited. Personally, I found the food very bland - could have done with some seasoning - and is more or less the same variety for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was lovely though. I wasn't too impressed with the service in La Brasserie - very slow and inattentive (to me), but the food was great there except for dessert which was nothing like what was advertised on the menu! I enjoyed a lovely hot stone massage in the Spa as well as some of the spa facilities. I also did enjoy and appreciated the in-house evening entertainment especially the live band shows. All in all, a truly wonderful experience with beautiful sunshine and amazing views. Though I would have preferred the beach to be closer, it was still a great walk to Maspalomas beach, seeing the sand dunes and visiting the shops and restaurants. I’d love to come back.

The Playa del Sol Apartments is an adults-only hotel located near the Yumbo Center, offering a restaurant, gym, pools, hot tub, and sauna. The LGBTQ+ friendly establishment allows naturism on the rooftop solarium with a large swimming pool. The rooms feature balconies and well-equipped kitchens but lack air conditioning. Guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere without children and find the staff helpful and welcoming. Some suggest improvements such as reducing noise from the pool area and providing more shade on the sun deck.
Typical Gran Canaria hotel with a renovated room. Hotel has a central location for most of the activities, restaurants and bars. It's very easy to go everywhere from there, since taxis and a bus stop are few meters from the hotel. Staff is amazing and very friendly. Everybody smile and greet you. Makes you feel warm and welcomed. Room includes everything you need - a small kitchen, TV, sofas, tables, enough space for luggage, good bed, a ceiling vent etc. In the bathroom there are shampoo and shower gel, large bottles. Room was clean and nice. Of course everything could be better and comfier, that's why for the room I give 4/5. There were some outside sounds, but it didn't bother us at all. Overall experience was 5/5 and we would stay there again.
Ardi O — Google review
Cheap and cheerful accommodation. Everything about the apartment was fine for the price, if very dated (we had an unmodernised room). However, the beds were comfortable. Our twin room only had one power socket, which was no where near the bed, so that was rather irking, but otherwise fine. The pool is spacious and warm, and the pool at a reasonable price. Pool towels are not provided, nor are they available to hire, which is an oversight, as so many people want to travel light, it would also generate additional income for the business. Location is great for yumbo nightlife, but potentially could be noisy if you go to bed early or are sober.

Great affordable apartment for the holiday. Nice to have a kitchen and coffee pot for my breakfast. Nice location next to Yumbo, but I spent most of my time traveling around the island and seeing the beautiful nature. Great staff. Friendly receptionists and very nice they have a little store in the lobby. Perfect to buy last minute necessities

I was here with my now ex girl friend once and it wasn't a good experience. My ex thought it felt like a motel. Lots of noises during the night since it's right next to yumbo shopping centre where there's lots of bars. Playa del sol"s website said they have breakfast you can buy at the hotel, but when we asked they just told us to eat at yumbo. The hotel feels very "last millenia" and desperately needs an update.

So lovely to be back at VB! I have lost count how many times we have been here but it's always a great stay. Great rooms, (especially the 2/3 bed villas), pools, bar and gardens. Always get to meet some great people and don't worry about staying solo . Away from the drugged up twinks and just a short taxi ride to bars, clubs and restaurants. Highly recommended!!

Our first visit to Villas Blancas after being recommended by many friends and we weren’t disappointed. A lovely peaceful relaxing clothing optional complex surrounded by beautiful plants and trees. There are 2 pools, one by the bar and restaurant and another pool within the complex. Add to this a huge jacuzzi which could possibly fit 20 people in. The owner and the staff are what makes this place special, always on hand to help or to serve you and happy to answer any of your needs or information you require. Breakfast was really nice with a nice selection of juices, cereals and baked goods as well as cooked breakfast, fruit juices and coffee. A well stocked bar offering drinks during the day and evening as well as pool snacks and evening meals. The rooms vary in size depending which you book but are all clean and spacious and also with air con and pool towels provided. A nearby small supermarket enables you to get anything you need. A 15-20 min walk to yumbo or grab a taxi. Safe and secure and very private. We can see why so many people return year on year, and look forward to our next stay in the future.

The garden and pool area are beautiful and peaceful – a true little oasis. Our suite was spacious, and super comfortable. It’s the perfect mix of calm and central – just a short walk to Yumbo but still quiet and relaxing. We’ll be back! – Anders & Erik 💛

Me and my partner had an absolutely lovely time at the Birdcage, from the moment we arrived we felt comfortable and relaxed. The staff were very attentive and fun and made us feel at home. The hotel is small with only 9 rooms but has everything you could need, a large and quiet pool, great food and drinks and excellent service. It is situated only minutes away from the Yumbo center but you wouldn't know it once you step inside, a nice haven to relax in. I think it is telling that most of the other guests had been coming back for years and we'd definitely love to in the future. Two new little birdies

Beyond perfect, just simply amazing. A Gem of a hotel. Better than any other hotel in GC inc Bohemia. It’s so comfy and exclusive. Very boutique and huge garden suites with room to really relax and truly unwind. The staff are next level service and I will only ever book this hotel in the future. Exceptional in every sense we cannot thank you all enough, see you soon Andrew & Stephane

Great design hotel with lovingly furnished rooms. The most beautiful and well-kept gardens I have ever seen at a hotel here. Very large pool and lots of places to relax and unwind. Delicious and varied breakfast. The staff endeavour to make every guest's stay a relaxing one. Very quiet location and yet very close to the Yumbo centre and the nearest bus stop.

Beautifully relaxing stay here.An escape from it all for a special wedding anniversary.A garden Suite gave us our privacy with a large terrace, seperate lounge and garden and seconds to the pool where there is plenty of room to sunbathe. We are not really breakfast people but some nice things to choose from and we tried the afternoon restaurant menu which was great.Large in room American fridge with snacks and drinks (mini bar) at really good prices and restocked daily ! Cocktails and sangria on your terrace all lovely. The bed is to die for so comfortable and with that and the air con it was hard to get out of. Lovely grounds and you can also get served by the pool. The resort is small, quiet and zen a real oasis and every one of the guests were very friendly. It is minutes walk from yumbo if that is your thing so you can eat and party in dozens of places. Highlight of the whole stay was Ralf ! Dedicated, friendly, hard working (never stops) the place would be totally lost without him. What a lovely guy ! Thanks for everything ❤️ Rod & Kristof ❤️

We stayed here for 10 days and it was one of the most relaxing holidays in a long time. The staff was extremely nice, and I love that the rooms were almost always made up when we were at breakfast. Every little detail in the resort is decorated in a unique way and there was always plenty of space around the pool to relax. We had a room with a private garden and it offered a lot of space, a truly private porch and a big well stocked refrigerator with plenty of space for your own things. All in all a great experience and we'd love to return next year.

Nestled just 200 meters from the stunning beach, Bungalows Tenesoya offers a delightful escape in Playa del Ingles. This quaint complex features basic yet comfortable one and two-bedroom bungalows, perfect for those seeking an affordable getaway. As a men-only gay hotel, it provides a welcoming atmosphere for its guests. The inviting swimming pool is ideal for cooling off under the warm Canarian sun, with ample sun loungers available to soak up rays while enjoying good company.
Room 2. Dec 3rd to 13th 2016 On arrival no welcome as they go home at 16:00. We called the number of the resort where the nice woman told us how to get in. We came as a group of 3 and found that the beds are comfortable and kitchen has a few utensils to cook a decent fry up or boil some noodles so far. We have had a few days round the pool and it's quite and relaxing. You do hear the occasional loud car or bike pass but your going to been so near to the busy night life. We have met the staff who are very nice and we found that they are happy to help. 6th December today and so far we are impressed.

We were one of the first guests after a beautiful renovation. It's a small park and therefore not a lot of people. Nice and clean bungalow, very good beds and the kitchen is fully equipped. pool with a few sunbeds and for every bungalow a big sunbed. I think they have to finish some little things, during the ten days we stayed the where finishing the last bungalows, lights by the pool. We where missing a drying rack by the bungalow. There are no glasses allowed by the pool, (understandable!) but provide some plastic cups in the bungalow so you can take a drink with you. And last but not least, very friendly staff. Especially the cleaning lady, such a nice person.

We stayed for a week (november 2022) in a four bedroom bungalow. The park was recently renovated and the result is very nice. Clean and comfortable rooms, equiped kitchen and tidy park. Also friendly staff. The mayor downside for us was the fact that we only got 2 keys, while we've booked for 3 persons. As grown up adults, we don't hold each others hands and it happens that we loose each other while going out... in fact that happend every night, so the one without a key had to -wake up one of the others or -climb the fence to get in/out. I hope they provide some extra keys in the future to guests if they ask for it or give acces to a keybox next to the gate.

Festival
Maspalomas Pride is a vibrant celebration that kicks off the European gay pride season every May, transforming Playa del Ingles into a kaleidoscope of color and joy. This 10-day extravaganza attracts LGBTQ+ revelers from around the globe, featuring an impressive street parade that culminates in a spectacular finale. The festivities are centered around the Yumbo Centrum, known as the island's LGBTQ+ hub, where attendees can enjoy both free and ticketed events.
Amazing! The safest place to be! Everybody is so friendly! And the bartenders and staff are always there for everybody! Thank you for making my first pride feel special!
Jack S — Google review
Maspalomas Pride by Freedom is marketed as a premier LGBTQ+ event, but my experience left me deeply disappointed. Despite its promises of inclusivity and celebration, the event felt more like a commercial spectacle than an authentic Pride festival. The most glaring issue is the lack of genuine connection to LGBTQ+ values. The event seemed to prioritize flashy corporate sponsorships over meaningful representation of the community. Instead of promoting awareness or celebrating queer culture, it felt like a giant nightclub, focused on selling overpriced drinks. The heart of Pride – diversity, activism, and equality – was overshadowed by blatant commercialism, making it feel exploitative rather than empowering. The organization of the event was another major letdown. Crowds were poorly managed, with little thought given to creating accessible, enjoyable spaces. Overflowing trash bins and litter everywhere contributed to an unclean and chaotic environment. Basic facilities, like restrooms and seating areas, were insufficient, leaving many attendees frustrated. The lack of attention to these details made the event feel careless and unprofessional. Corruption and favoritism behind the scenes only added to the disappointment. Many staff members appeared unprepared and indifferent, giving the impression that the event was more about personal profit than community celebration. Entry fees for certain parties were unreasonably high, further reinforcing the feeling that the event prioritizes profit over people. Moreover, the event lacked inclusivity. Despite being an LGBTQ+ festival, it failed to represent the full spectrum of the community, with minimal visibility for marginalized groups like transgender and non-binary individuals. This exclusionary atmosphere undermined the very principles Pride is supposed to uphold. In conclusion, Maspalomas Pride is a poorly executed, overly commercialized event that fails to honor the spirit of Pride. Until the organizers address these issues, I cannot recommend it to anyone looking for a meaningful and inclusive LGBTQ+ experience.

The festival is pretty much perfect but it severely lacks good international techno vibes. Please, please, please make a hard-techno open corner or sth. and invite some DJs from Berlin or so. You play the same music every day and everywhere and it sucks, which is that heavy Spanish house with reggaeton, salsa, merengue vibes, etc. ALWAYS TRUMPETS AND VOICES every song… Sometimes mixed with some remixed international evergreens of pop music but you still lack true electronic music. All other pride festivals are so much better concerning the music. The only place which played somewhat better techno music was a place called “strong construction” but that’s a cruising place and not where I want to go to dance to decent techno music. This festival could be so much greater, if diversity is also shown in music!!! Which means more genres and some decent hard techno / progressive / industrial house DJs from EU mainland. If you do that, you might appeal more to international visitors like me and not just to the Spanish crowd! I see no reason to buy again a pride pass, if the music style is everywhere the same!

(Translated by Google) Rating of PRIDE MASPALOMAS 2025 We have been coming from Canada for several years, as a group, exclusively to enjoy Maspalomas Pride. It is an event that we have always loved and, year after year, we have noticed how the quality improved and how the programming became more interesting and professional. We have always bought the Full Pass, which gives access to all the festival's official pool parties, and so far we were very satisfied. However, this year 2025 deeply disappointed us. We paid the full value of the Full Pass, which included a Welcome Pack, and what we received was far from what was promised. To begin with, it can't even be called a "pack": they only gave us a nylon bag of terrible quality, which honestly serves no purpose, beyond being used as garbage. There was no t-shirt, no promotional gifts, nor any detail that showed affection or care on the part of the organization. Worse still, the quality of the bag has decreased significantly compared to previous years, when it was made of a more resistant and useful material. Furthermore, the structure of the event seemed improvised. It gave us the impression that there was a lack of budget or planning. The main stage and surroundings were not up to par with previous editions, as if they were reusing materials from last year. Everything seemed to be done at the last minute. For all this, we decided that starting next year we will no longer buy the Full Pass. We are going to attend only the parties that really interest us, and the money that we would normally spend on the full pass - which is not little - will be used to enjoy the bars and venues of the Yumbo Center, where at least the experience and service make up for it. We are very dissatisfied with what we received this year. We sincerely hope that the event organization will give us a clear answer on how they plan to improve for the next edition. Because we love this event, but we can't continue supporting something that has clearly lost quality and respect for its loyal attendees.

We ordered an alcoholic cocktail, and they brought us syrup. When we asked for a change of dishes, one waiter simply said that everything was fine, as it should be, and left. We were waiting for another waiter, he changed our cocktail. But in the end, everything is the same . Sweet cocktail that is not possible to drink! 🥵

Service could sometimes take a little while but the staff are very nice. Drag shows were quite funny and entertaining. I'm a straight guy so am not always 100% tuned into the art of drag but they have made me come away with a new found appreciation expecially the comedic side of it which I have to admit was highly entertaining Would defiantly recomend going here at least once if your travelling to Gran Canaria

Maybe I wasn’t lucky with my Sunday evening choice but the drag show was the most boring I have ever seen. Visibly the drag queens are tired of themselves and they just stand on the stage for 15 minutes by doing nothing. At least the elderly citizens were enjoying it or just didn’t want to give up their seats.

super cool drag show was really funny me and my partner enjoyed it very much. we were sat outside for a while but couldn’t see much so moved indoors for a better view and ordered some drinks, the drinks were normal and as they should be (not to mention 2 for €6 on coronas) my only concern is the smell from inside was TERRIBLE smelt like sick so bad we had to move back outside, i didn’t see any table wiping or anything so if they could pick up on that would be a 5 star review

Hotel
Hotel Riu Palace Palmeras is an all-inclusive resort located in San Bartolome. The hotel features simple yet comfortable rooms, outdoor pools, a fitness center, and a low-key bar. Guests can enjoy buffet meals at the on-site restaurant with a terrace. The friendly staff ensures that rooms are cleaned daily and provides fresh towels for both the rooms and poolside loungers.
This is probably the best all-inclusive hotel I've ever stayed at. Of course, being a five-star hotel, you might expect a high standard, but it truly exceeded all expectations. The food was absolutely amazing, with a wide variety of options that always tasted fresh and delicious. The service was outstanding; the staff was incredibly friendly and always maintained an exceptional level of professionalism. Every member of the team contributed to making our stay memorable, and it felt like no request was too much. The cleanliness and overall appearance of the hotel were immaculate, which added to the overall luxurious experience. To top it all off, we had perfect weather throughout the entire winter break week, with sunny skies and temperatures around 23°C, which made our stay even more enjoyable. One of the key factors for us when choosing this hotel was the availability of a gym, which we were quite excited about. However, while the gym looked great in the photos, it didn't quite meet our expectations in person. It could easily be improved with additional free weights ranging from 2 to 30 kilograms. That being said, this was a minor setback in an otherwise perfect stay. Overall, we would still rate this hotel a solid five stars, as it provided an incredible experience that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a high-quality, all-inclusive getaway.
Jan Å — Google review
We recently stayed at the RIU Palace Palmeras (Gran Canaria), and while there’s a lot to love about this hotel, there are also a few significant issues that really detract from the experience. First, let’s start with the positives. The hotel itself is stunning, and the employees are absolutely amazing. Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and taken care of. The food is simply outstanding—fresh, delicious, and with an impressive variety to choose from. The service in every department is flawless, making you feel like you’re staying in a top-tier resort. However, there are two major drawbacks that unfortunately overshadow these positives. The first is the noise. Across the street from the hotel, there’s a karaoke bar, and at 1:45 am, when all you want is a peaceful night’s sleep, the loud music and singing are unbearable. It’s extremely frustrating that such a great hotel is ruined by this external factor. Sleep is one of the most important aspects of a hotel stay, and when you can’t get it, it completely undermines the relaxing vacation experience you’re hoping for. The second issue is the pool situation. Despite the hotel clearly stating that reserving sunbeds is not allowed, guests are out there at 6 in the morning staking their claim to the best spots. It’s insane! By the time “normal” guests come down at a reasonable hour, all the good places by the pool are taken, and you’re left scrambling for leftovers. What’s most frustrating is that the hotel does nothing to stop this behavior. If the rules exist, why aren’t they enforced? This creates an unfair and stressful situation that could easily be avoided if the hotel took action. It’s so disappointing because RIU Palace Palmeras has so much potential to be a fantastic place to stay. The staff, the food, the service—it’s all incredible. But the noise at night and the chaos at the pool during the day make it hard to recommend this hotel, especially for guests who are looking for peace, relaxation, and fairness. Until these issues are addressed, I would hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others.

This hotel is THE BEST, the buffet is ALWAYS amazing, variety is spectacular, don’t bother with the Krystal restaurant, which is nice, but the all inclusive food is fabulous. Drinks good quality, staff are very friendly, helpful and work very hard. Rooms are clean, modern. The only thing I would request is more ENGLISH channels. Will stay here again at a heart beat 😍

Genuinely one, if not the best smaller all inclusive hotels I've been to. Quite literally nothing to fault about it at all. The hotel has basically everything you could need either in it or a 30 second walk away. There is one all inclusive buffet which has a great variety of really delicious food, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Never had a bad meal from there. a nice atmosphere in there as well with an outside and outdoor eating area. There is also the al carte restaurant which was an interesting experience. It wasn't our cup of tea but of course that's purely down to us, however what was strange is that we was advised to book it well early as its often busy so they said. However upon going down there for the night we were surprised at how strangely empty it was with only two tables taken. The staff in there were nice however would spend the whole service in silence and with the lack of music in there it was very awkward. A really nice bar is positioned between the buffet and reception area also with an outside seating area as well as an indoor part. Live music was played there at times. There is also an area next to the bar where some food like burgers and hot dogs are able to be taken free of charge after 10pm in case you arrive at the hotel late or if you fancy a late night snack which is a great touch. Room was perfect as well with a great view around the area genuinely incredible. Had everything we needed with a fridge to that is re stocked for free which is an incredible touch. a lovely bathroom to and a perfect bed. Two pools of decent size and many sunbeds are also part of the hotel as well a small kids pool. Its especially good how one of the pool has a specific rule of no ball games and only swimming to allow for s more relaxed experience There is also a pool bar which has snacks all day. Down at the bottom of the hotel is where the entertainment takes place with some incredible and highly entertaining shows occurring. You can also order drinks at ease down there with bar tenders frequently around. The location is pretty much perfect, a 5 minute walk to the beach if that and surrounded by many other really nice hotels and some very convenient shops next door. There is a really nice area of shops and bars just a stones throw away next to the beach. A hard rock café is also in the close area. The beach is huge and mainly sandy. Be very careful as part of it is a nude beach which was a surprise for sure. The staff were superb as well all round and very kind, especially the legend Javier on reception. While there is no spa there is a small gym which more than does the job. We were also treated by the offer which goes out to all guests of going to the riu party which is a themed disco party night at a near by riu hotel. It was absolutely class brilliant acts and great music for every age, with drinks to and entirely free which is incredible.

I rate this place only 1star because the food for the all-inclusive hotel is very poor quality and not eatable also I celebrated my birthday with no birthday cake offered by the restaurant only cheap cava for €3.60 from the local shop! Nobody cares about the customers and makes their stay more comfortable and enjoyable. That was enough to decide never to come back to that hotel again!!! The restaurant smelled awful because the extraction system did not work. Grilled meats are so dry like grilled cartons or overcooked. The pastry section only defrosted desserts or musses extremely low quality made from the powder mix. Hot drinks are very bad quality. Cocktails are just sugar syrup and crushed ice. I found human hair on the pastry. I recommend this hotel only for a room without any food.
Tony G — Google review
The noise pollution created by this hotel is absolutely astounding. Everyone in a 3km radius has to put up with their terrible music and can't put their children to bed until after 11pm

As far as Riu Palaces go, this one falls a little short on a few minor things Entertainment - zero (Riu Party is by free shuttle to the other Riu) Age of clientele - full of elderly people - in fact it’s like God’s waiting room (not the fault of the hotel obviously) Sun-loungers - a huge problem - the age old issue of reserving at silly o’clock! I’m currently here with my teenage granddaughter and of course we are here for winter sun. HOWEVER, only 50% of the sun-loungers are actually in the sun, and these are all fully reserved by 7am! Try as I might, even in an overnight / early morning downpour, I haven’t managed to beat the early risers who seem to get down to reserve the sunny spots at earlier and earlier times! Food is lovely - fresh and varied Staff are lovely - professional yet friendly The hotel is spotless No spa facilities (I do love a massage!) The local town is shoddy This is my first time in GC - I’d recommend the hotel, lounger issues aside, for anyone who jut wants to flop and drop and not explore anywhere outside - Masapalomas … not so sure about, found it rather disappointing really

What a fantastic luxury holiday. Everything was perfect. The room was lovely with good air conditioning. All the staff were exceptionally good. The mud detox included in our package was different but enjoyable. My skin was so soft afterwards and all finished of with a really good massage. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and enjoyable. The best bit though was the dinners, the tastes were amazing whatever you choose from a good range on the menu. The chef deserves every bit of praise for his culinary expertise. Would recommend this Spa hotel to everyone and hope to come back again ourselves

Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Bed was so comfortable. Had everything I needed for my stay. Though I think A/C should be included in the price. Location is as close to the Yumbo centre as you can get. Saying that I had a few early nights and didn’t hear any noise from the very lively Yumbo. Not my first time staying and hopefully it won’t be my last. All the staff from reception to housekeeping were very friendly. And it felt a lot more spacious around the pool area compared to the sister hotel next door.

Excellent location & room cleaned daily, always loads of fresh towels, excellent power shower with hot water at all times, even at high usage times. Really comfy bed, best sleep I've had away ever. All reception staff very helpful & friendly, great pool area. Definitely use this group again 😍

It’s a large property – I spent a week there. The room had a well-equipped kitchenette and a separate bedroom. It faced the main street on one side and the pool and Yumbo Centre on the other, so unfortunately, it was quite noisy. The room and hotel were of a decent standard, and the breakfasts and dinners were delicious. The staff were extremely friendly. Unfortunately, there was no free air conditioning in the room – for those interested, it costs €12 per day. Overall, I had a positive experience, but if the rooms were soundproofed and included air conditioning, I would rate it 5/5.
Robss_on — Google review
We arrived around 10pm, check in was quick, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had booked to go half board and although dinner had finished by the time we arrived, we were presented with a selection of food on an tray along with a bottle of water to take to our room! There is a €12 per day charge for aircon (€20 deposit for the control) but worth every penny after a hot day! The hotel was spotless, from the rooms, reception area, dining area to the pool, the cleaners are around most of the day mopping and polishing! Great amount of choices for both breakfast and dinner, food is kept hot/cold as appropriate and the trays are replenished frequently! The Pool area is a lovely sun trap, we never had a problem finding two sunbeds, together. The large pool itself was great to cool off and relax in, its filled with clean salt water, …..a deep end, shallower end, Jacuzzi and children’s pool! The hotel is a five minute walk from the Yumbo centre and around 10/15 minute walk to the beach.

Stayed here a few times over the years and always enjoyed my stay but unfortunately our stay was mared by a couple of large Spanish families who ( seem to just turn up with no accommodation) with there unruly children shouting and behaving badly to use the facilities!!!! ruined are last few days. Staff did not step in at all and let it carry on..I can say that a lot people were really peed off , given this... unfortunately I will be booking elsewhere in future. Such a shame
Annie B — Google review
Stayed a few times at this gem of a hotel. Not a five star hotel, though staff make it feel like one. Right near to the Yumbo centre, though not disturbed by it, at all. Lovely rooms, cleaned almost every day. Great pool and nice, virtually poolside restaurant and bar. 2 mins from Yumbo, less than 5 minutes in a taxi too the Cita (costs around 3.50 Euro) It's a 15 to 20 minutes stroll (down hill) to the beach. We got taxi back, again about 3.50 Euro. If your not looking for five star luxury, but rather a great, clean and well run hotel, that's in a fantastic location. This is it.

Sparkles Show Bar is a vibrant and lively drag show bar located in the Yumbo Centre of Gran Canaria. It's a popular spot for both the LGBTQ+ community and straight couples looking for an alternative night out. The bar reopened in September 2021 and offers free nightly shows, karaoke, and drink promotions. Some of the must-see drag queen shows include Cheyennes, Chez Funny Boys, and Sparkles Show Bar itself.
The staff are great and very quick with Service ,the drag at are so fabulous I don’t know why you didn’t come there first time a lovely time today for Pride see you in a big show and take a little while. I’m wondering but still all over time I been I had so much fun at this bar

Sparkles is located in the Yumbo Centre. It has indoor and outdoor seating. I sat outside for a while before I was able to move inside once seats became available. It’s a brilliant drag show that’s very funny, not for the faint hearted as it’s quite risqué humour at times but thoroughly enjoyable and such good fun. The audience are very much part of the experience as the queens involve the audience throughout the entire show with hilarious consequences. There’s lots of costume changes, singing, dancing, very cheap (€6) and delicious cocktails with excellent table service by the plentiful staff. A special mention for the lovely Michael who brought my first drink and chatted with me a few times throughout the evening as I was on my own. I had a brilliant, fun last night at Sparkles, which was a Monday night, before flying home the next day.

Great fun for a night out. Can get busy so get there early to get a good seat. The shows are excellent. Karaoke and shows. Drag queens are funny and entertaining. Please be kind to the staff they work hard and remember to leave a tip.
Patrick D — Google review
Great night!! One of the best shows I've seen, outfits were stunning. Staff were very nice and the Queens were amazing! so good with the one or two younger kids watching the show and my sister who is neurodiverse. One even took time to talk to her for a minute and waved at her a few times during the show (which really made her day!) 💙 The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the experience my little sister had when using the bathroom. She was told "what are you looking at? Back off and move on" - she was just minding her own business admiring the outfits in the female bathroom when two males just standing in the bathroom said it to her. Just to add, I was told that the only reason they were in there was because the male toilets were full.

Michael’s Gone to Ricky’s - A friend told me about this must go drag bar. It was ok but quite quiet and all their famous queens now work at the bar just down from there, Ricky’s. The 3 working on Tuesday looked ok but we’re not really that funny.
Jody B — Google review
Proper good night out. The queens had great energy and pulled out all the stops for their show. A great variety of entertainment including karaoke. Get there for happy hour which ends at 10:30 but you can get super cheap booze (a jug of a cocktail for €13). After happy hour only paid €11 for 4 shots. Bar staff did a great job at serving drinks quickly. Toilets were very clean. My partner and I left Sparkles happy and stumbling to get a cab! Would love to go back again!

Best show bar on the island & its run by one of the best drag queens ive seen! If your in Gran Canaria this is a MUST DO for your holiday. Loved every show. Great team. Hard working table service staff. Get there by 9.30pm as it gets busy and fills up quick.

Bar
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Gran Canaria, Tom's Cruising Bar is a must-visit for those seeking an exhilarating night out. This intimate venue, known for its welcoming atmosphere and diverse clientele, particularly attracts an older leather crowd. With a focus on the thrilling aspects of gay nightlife—think fisting, fetish play, and more—Tom's offers unique features like cabins, glory holes, and slings to enhance your experience.
I love this bar! Always some people with various look. You don’t feel judge and feel free to come as you are! The staff is cool, music fun, prices are no excessive and the darkroom is a nice place to play between 2 drinks (i love the car inside 😅). Can’t wait to coming back soon at Maspalomas and coming back at Tom’s Cruising bar!💙

Gay bar, busy & fun. Always a good night out. The cruising area is not for the faint of heart.

Super location, great staff, best place to hang out with friends, to meet guys, to have a flirt and maybe more (darkroom ...). The Bar is MEN ONLY (Singles, Couples, Groups are welcome). Great to kick off ur evening, or after dinner, or to get ur final drink(s). But I miss beige big soft Teddybear! Hope to be back soon!
TJ P — Google review
Been to Tom's many years, but on this holiday inwas really looking forward to going again, it is not the same anymore. Luckily we were a group, when a guy who was obviously very high on something just joined our group and being polite we said hello when someone from the next table said do not drink your drink as he put something into our glass. Then on the floor we're 2 tablets he had dropped. The staff were good in moving him on. So. Please be aware of this guys. Also my next opinion is the dark room. The smell in there in the last week was putrid, a bad smell of bodily fluids, I am being polite. Guys if you are going please shower and douche. I thi k the staff should monitor this more as we were not the only ones complaining about the smell inside. A guy was cleaning in his arse in the urinal and it was not a nice sight to see. The prices have risen sharply this year, but to compliment the prices please have a cleaner environment for the customer. Just be alert guys. Thanks for the reply Andy. I can't just come and see you as I am now home but your bar staff a black guy and a mixed raced lad we're fully aware of this incident. This incident was last Saturday 5th July Infact the mixed race lad he may be Spanish was very good with the situation and ushered the pest away. As for the cleanliness please tell, Me you are aware of this. The whole place was talking about the smell. Just send staff in to. Monitor the place and keep on top Of it. It is a great establishment to go too. I have done for many years and it is a busy place. I made these comments to make you better. This is not a bad review at all. Just pointing out some errors that can be improved for all. I am not with any other bar. I am just a holiday maker letting you know what's happening.

"WHY DOES THIS PLACE NOT SELL C@CKRINGS"? Mine "fell" off and couldn't find a replacement. I had to borrow one from a friend. Otherwise I would have given a five star review. Hopefully for my next holiday in the wonderful Gran Canaria Toms will have "supplies" for the play room.

Gay bar
Bar
Cruise Bar, a staple in the vibrant Yumbo area since June 1994, stands out as the oldest leather bar around. Open from midnight until 4 AM, it truly comes alive after 1 AM when patrons start to arrive. The atmosphere is welcoming and lively, with friendly staff who sport beards and flight suits adding to its unique charm. While enjoying good music and a relaxed vibe, visitors can explore various cruising options within the venue.
Only been during Pride weeks, but there's always a decent crowd and when the DJ is playing the terrace the music is great.
Mark S — Google review
The bar area is nice enough, the music is good, and there are lockers available (€1 coin required) if you want to strip off. I did. The fetish side was a bit smelly, quite cold, but with an excellent dark room - it really was pitch black. The cruising side was OK with numerous places to play, but there were lots of clothed guys loitering, or doing laps. Unfortunately, the toilets were a disgrace. I didn’t use the terrace outside - not really warm enough at this time of year at 2am.
Jonny G — Google review
The bartenders are the best in the Yumbo and the house DJ played the best music of all the bars. We visited the terrace every night for a week. The inside bar can be fun to visit as well.
KD — Google review
Clients are mostly mature. Very nice atmosphere, very friendly service. Everyone will find what they came for. Normal prices. The music deserves special attention. Good DJ. A very nice time.

It can be hit and miss as every other place, however more hit than miss. The staff has been very nice and friendly, from the door men to security and bartenders, fairly priced and great vibes. I will go back, muchas gracias

Another great bar to visit. 10 Euros entry which entitles you to your first drink free. Good mixed crowd. All ages and nationalities. Would recommend.
Hassan S — Google review
Gay men's cruising bar. Advocates leather, denim, butch , but has no dress code or concessions if you do. Recently it seems to have been restored to similar layout to what is was prior to the Growl Bar addition (which is now closed) but it's still a bit too dark to cruise and occasionally it smells bad. Plus side the €9 entry does get you a couple bottles of beer. Bar staff are nice and friendly which is good. I also generally like their music unless there is a DJ on the terrace then it is far too loud. Probably best of the bunch of cruising bars but honestly needs to do more, start with some sort dress code encouragement as per your logo!

Nestled in the sun-kissed southern region of Gran Canaria, Fahana - Gay Men Only is a serene retreat designed exclusively for gay men. This charming hotel boasts eight stylish rooms, each featuring a private furnished porch that invites you to soak in the stunning surroundings. Guests can unwind by the heated outdoor saltwater pool or indulge in a delightful breakfast buffet to kickstart their day.
A stylish hideaway for relaxed days as a couple – absolutely recommended! We’ve stayed at Fahana twice now – and both times were absolutely wonderful. The property is small, beautifully maintained, and designed with a great sense of style. The rooms are modern, spotless, and each comes with its own private rooftop terrace featuring a daybed, outdoor shower, and stunning views – perfect for unwinding together under the sun. Breakfast is very tasty and offers a nice selection for every taste. Host Nick is warm, attentive, and creates a relaxed, personal atmosphere – you feel welcome from the very first moment. One of the things we really appreciate: Fahana is an adults-only resort with just eight bungalow-style rooms. It’s wonderfully peaceful, and if you’re open to it, it’s easy to connect with the other guests. The vibe is friendly, inclusive, and very respectful – ideal for gay couples who value style, quality, and a laid-back environment. The pool area is dreamy – quiet, elegant, and a great place to fully relax. Complimentary sparkling wine, water, juices, and even cocktails in the afternoon are a lovely touch that really enhances the experience. The location is great too: a supermarket is just around the corner, excellent restaurants are within walking distance, the Yumbo Center is about an 8-minute walk away, and the dunes aren’t far either. Fahana has truly become a place where we feel at home – relaxed, welcomed, and free to be ourselves. We’ll definitely be back!

We had an amazing stay at the Fahana Hotel. From the moment the day begins, you’re greeted with a warm welcome at breakfast that instantly puts you in holiday mode. Around the pool, it’s easy to make instant friends and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. The room and amenities were excellent – everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay is right at hand. The location is perfect, with both the beach and vibrant nightlife just a short stroll away. A special mention goes to the lovely staff, who made us feel at home throughout our stay. Their kindness and hospitality truly made the difference. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Adriaan M — Google review
My vacation began with a welcome that felt like it came from a good friend — from the very first second, you’re gifted a feeling of comfort and care. For me, the Fahana is the perfect hotel on Gran Canaria. It’s not only impeccably stylish down to the smallest detail, but cleanliness, outstanding service, and genuine helpfulness are clearly top priorities here. The Fahana provided me with a safe and friendly retreat — something that’s truly valuable, especially when traveling alone. The pool area, terrace, breakfast room, and my room all felt as if they had just been built especially for me. No wonder — everything here is carefully maintained, cleaned, and tended to, always discreetly and quietly. The location is also fantastic! You’re only a 4–5 minute walk from everything you might need on vacation. Guest well-being truly comes first here. I’ll be back!
Jan M — Google review
Absolute paradise! Fahana is a luxury resort that looks after your every comfort. Nick cannot do enough for you, he is superb and a great asset. Rooms are superbly appointed with modern furnishings, great tv and comfy big bed. The terrace with egg chairs and pool view is wonderful and you even have your own private rooftop lounger. Location is excellent and quiet in spite of being by a busy road. Five minutes and you are in the Yumbo Centre. Also easy for bus routes around the island. Breakfast is delightful and varied each day with lots of hot and cold options. Juices, cava, water, pastries are available most of the day plus a house signature cocktail every afternoon is a lovely bonus. Pool and pool area are fabulous and relaxing. Nice touches make a stay more enjoyable and there are plenty of these both in the room and around the resort. Best place I have ever stayed in Gran Canaria and will be back.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous! The rooms are stunning, and the pool was amazing!! David was excellent during the whole booking process and checking me in. For the rest of the week and weekend I was looked after by the gorgeous Davide, who was absolutely fantastic!! I can’t wait to come back!!!! See you soon!
Matt F — Google review
Literally can’t complain at all. The amenities were top of the line. Staff was friendly and attentive and everything was exactly as advertised. I feel like the staff are now my friends :) The convenience to the Yumbo was nice but also far enough away to get some peace and quiet. I would’ve loved a snack counter or something available for late lunch/arriving back home from the beach; food options within the campus close after breakfast…. But that was not a dealbreaker and I was fine going to the supermarket close by and grabbing something. Overall I definitely am coming back.
Collin N — Google review
This hotel is by far the best hotel that we stayed while traveling Spain over a period of 14 days during August 2025. The hotel and rooms are modern and romantic, creating a relaxed atmosphere during the day and at nighttime. The staff, Nic & Davide are both warm and friendly hosts and it was a pleasure having them hosting us at this exquisite hotel that is well located in Maspalomas. The pool is especially special and inviting. We can only highly recommend this hotel.
IlandLures N — Google review
From the very first moment, the entire team was absolutely incredible and made us feel at home. The hotel is spectacular in every sense — you can truly feel the care and dedication in every detail. I had prepared a few surprises for my trip, and the whole staff not only helped me brainstorm ideas but also supported me in executing them perfectly. They suggested a massage with David, who is a true professional. He was part of the surprise, delivered an outstanding massage, and even offered us cava and fresh fruit afterwards. Every visit should start with a massage like that! I also asked them to print some cards, and they went above and beyond. Not only did they print them in high-quality paper, but they also created a beautiful card set, placed them in a lovely envelope, and sealed it with wax. Maspalomas may be known for its “basic” tourism, but if you are looking for a premium experience and want to truly indulge yourself, this is the place to be.

Terry's Show Bar is a long-standing camp drag show bar located in the Yumbo Center, offering nightly performances from 10:30 pm to 1 am, followed by a lively club atmosphere for dancing until 4:30 am. The venue is known for its refined and diverse drag shows, featuring classic Spanish hits performed by talented queens. Each evening presents a different program, showcasing varied acts including dramatic performances and hot flamenco shows.
Amazing artists. Malena is one of the most amazing person you can meet in your life. She usually lipsynking, but sometimes she is sining her own voice, and it sounds good. Amazing dancers, and lot of joy 👍

Very good shows, nice artists and nice staff at the bar. Good prices. But the toilets need to be improved.

Probably the best drag show in Gran Canaria! Varied performances, from the classic, slightly dramatic Malena Sevilla, through crazy Momi Chou, to hot flamenco performed by Zarzamor. This is a must see! Importantly, a different program is presented every evening. It is worth visiting the next few evenings to see everything.

Great flamenco dancers! Also we liked the other parts of the show: comedy, young dancer drag and classical Spanish. All together this made our evening bright and fun!
Iurii S — Google review
Good local fun! It's a great little local drag show bar with local queens. There are normally 4 acts a night on rotation. Our favourite is an older drag queen who used classic songs for great comic effect. Although we cannot speak Spanish, laughing never stops.
Guanpeng L — Google review
Had three drinks at this bar with my partner. Enjoying ourselves until my partner went to use the toilet. The bouncers decided that they were going to police the toilets with force and, incorrectly, assumed my partner (in his 50s and disabled) hadn’t bought a drink and therefore had no right to use the toilet. Threw him on the floor twice. When I found out and went over to speak to them in a calm manner I was pushed around by two bouncers and kicked twice. Absolutely crazy. We were both assaulted. I will be taking it further with the police and hope to hear back from the bar with an explanation. My partner has a twisted ankle and can barely walk. This is the worst bar experience we have ever had.

Tropical La Zona Gay Resort is a laid-back, clothing-optional hotel featuring cozy bungalows, a pool bar, and an open-air gym. The resort offers a complete package with an acclimatized pool, jacuzzi, sun beds, and an outside bar surrounded by palm trees and tropical gardens. Nudism is allowed throughout the complex which also features a cruising area. Guests appreciate the comfortable bungalows and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the resort.
Oké; the rooms and bathroom are dated but from experience: all the competitors have the same problem! We have stayed at them all and it's not fair to give Tropical less stars for something they all have. Let's move on: superclean, relaxed atmosphere where you can be who you want to be. And the staff... OMG can there ever be such lovely men! This will become our base; we will not choose other gay resorts anymore!

Comment for the day pass: €20 is robbery. You don’t even get a well drink with it, only beer. Axel day pass is €15 and much better facilities. The average age is 50+. Too quiet, nothing was happening in the cruise area on the Friday afternoon of Winter Pride. I wanted to give the place a chance but won’t be coming back.

We have been coming here for years, and will go on doing so. The location is ideal, it's in walking distance of many places. The venue is very well kept. It's not a luxurious venue, but rather a homely one, where things are well kept and everything is in place to give you a comfortable stay. I am a travel agent by profession, and would rate it as a 3 star with great great charm (personal opinion).

What a lovely place! Spent there a whole week and wished it was a longer stay! Lovely and spacious pool with a bar that serves a nice mix of drinks, snacks, and several kinds of breakfasts. There's also a hot tub in the yard. Rooms are very comfy, not very posh but there's everything that is needed for a vacation. But first and foremost the staff is what makes this place excellent. They are extremely helpful, always friendly and smiling, and eager to assist with any question or need, big or small. I will definitely be back!

Just got back from my first time here. It defo won’t be my last! Firstly, it’s in an amazing location, just 10 easy mins from Yumbo. The welcome was first class and we were escorted to our bungalow, and shown around our little suite personally. There’s no hiding the fact that the appartments have ‘personality’. They are not designed to be 5* luxury. They don’t claim that, so don’t expect it. There will be a few flaws - but overall - they have absolutely everything you need, including 2 coffee machines, a kettle, microwave, toaster, fridge with freezer compartment and a hob. There is quality crockery and proper mugs and enough glassware. (Top tip - get some plastic pint glasses for the pool bar to use in your bungalow). The beds are super comfy to sleep on, and the shower in ours was made out of funky glass bricks and the shower head is detachable (*!) 😎 Now, onto the staff. Not only are they always smiling, but they all make every effort to provide a personal service. Anything we asked for was no trouble and was provided efficiently. We stayed in the pool suites where our balcony had full sun most of the day and a great view of the pool. The music from the bar was unobtrusive most of the time, and you could not hear it if you went to your bedroom. There was a jacuzzi and some shaded cabanas to rest. The salt water pool was at a perfect temperature to cool down from turns in the sun. Honestly didn’t try the food, but many people did eat, and even local non-residents returned, so it must be good. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making our holiday so special! Defo be back.

I stayed with a friend in Tropical la Zona for a few days, first time there. We loved it, first because the pictures are exactly as it is in reality. The bangalow is big enough, it's maybe a bit old inside but we were not looking for the most fashionable modern bathroom, so we didn't care. The beds were comfortable. The pool area is very nice, the little bar is great with a good offering and reasonable price. As mentioned on the website there is a cruising area, this makes it fun! The staff is really nice! Always smiling, welcoming and really helpful. they tried their best to get our room ready before checkin as our flight arrived very early. You get a free bottle of water and orange juice and a welcome drink! They also keep the sun cream from all guests left over to be used, this is a simple but brillant idea. We'll be back! The only improvement would be for us the breakfast proposed could be a bit more complete for the price

Lovely bungalows! My Husband and I stayed here the week after the winter pride and had a really good time. There is great breakfast and relaxing, comfortable atmosphere. The property is very well maintained and the hospitality is excellent. The location directly at the Cita shopping center provides convenient access both to Yumbo as well as to the dunes and the beach. The couple who run the hotel are warm and accommodating and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

Lovely, chilled environment which is 20 minutes walk from the Yumbo Centre, and 30-40 minutes walk from the gay beach. The staff were friendly and welcoming with Alex, Maria and Johann (on hand to answer any questions, regular and thorough maid service, and delicious cocktails respectively) making our stay stress-free. The only minor challenge is the check-in procedure which, if you are delayed or arrive after 6pm, means you are calling a number to find out the entry-code and your room number - which can lead to being checked-in to the wrong room (we were directed to a Standard room rather than a Premium, but once the mistake was raised we were offered a room-change which we declined, but were given the amenities we should have had for our Premium booking: robes, slippers, etc). All in all, a lovely location with great staff - recommended!

I know the place very good. I worked for Manuel, owner - 5hours in the garden, 2weeks passed, he didn't pay me. He lie to me every day will call me and see me and now i think he bkoked my number. A Spanish friend call him to talk about me, he said he doesn't know me, i never worked there. I have all messages in whats app. The place is with nice garden, that i cleaned very well, free, no PAYMENT yet. The water in the pool is dirty, the jaccuzi is dirty and the water inside maybe is raining water, never changed in the pool and in the jaccuzi. Small pool bar, almost nothing for sale, just very simple, close 6 pm. Nothing look like Bouthiqe in this complex, just normal bungalows. Very far way from any beach. Notning around the complex. Far from everything. Better Basement, Aqua beach, Paso chico near Yumbo centre, Tropical gay zona complex. There are in better location, closer to beach and all bars in Yumbo. In Basement i have been, more friendly staff and owner, can't compare with Manuel. Manuel owner from Beach boys is not good person. This person can take your money and say it's not booking easy, and not giving back money. The young man work there without free day from 9-18.00, he told me. This is exploatation of human, working rights. Gay guys, please, don't book this expensive place, that don't give u nothing value and horrible owner.

Beachboys boutique R. is a nice place but the owner pratices overbooking, and when you arrive you are sent to another resort of BBR (for example club Tropicana at Playa del Ingles) for one or more nights, without any previous information about that. It's not the 1st time I see that (friends of me). More of that the jacuzzi is out of operation (for several months if I read other comments). The contract is not respected. Next time in another resort.

Park is closed due to bankruptcy. Was no water during our stay and were charged twice on our creditcard. Did not receive refund. The owner is a fraud and starts new park on the Island named Boys Resort. Pay attention!

Thief! The owner charged my credit card twice. He says to pay it back but never did. He opened 2 new parks: California Rooms and Beach Boys Playa. Those are both in Playa del Ingles. Don't book there. Your money is not save.

Mar Bianco Luxury Apartments - Gay Men Only is a recently renovated aparthotel in Maspalomas, offering an outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, and solarium. The property provides free WiFi, luggage storage, and car rental services. The soundproof rooms are comfortable with air conditioning and laundry facilities available on site. Guests can enjoy the bar, pool, and two rooftop terraces with jacuzzis. The friendly staff offers excellent service and local tips for exploring the island.
Everything was great in my stay at Mar Bianco. The entire crew were nice, helpful & gentle. Special thanks to Davinia, always smiling and serviced minded. A great woman. The booking was easy and check in very tech and easy. There’s no reception but a kiosk that you can easily check in and check out. The apartment is beautiful, clean, spacious. The rooms are nice and with a very good taste for bed linen and all. The kitchen is full size with a fridge, micro, Nespresso & kitchen accessories such as plates, pans, toaster, etc. My favorite place was the terrace. Big, with sunbeds, sunshades along with a beautiful view of the swimming pool and the sunrises/sunsets. The visitors were all very friendly and even I was invited for a glass of wine. Just book and go! DJT

MAR BIANCO impressed us with its beautiful room design —modern, stylish and very comfortable. I traveled with a friend, and having our own separate bedrooms was perfect after long days full of adventures. The layout of the resort is fantastic, with a pool nestled between two villas, creating a great atmosphere for both relaxation and socializing. The terrace, jacuzzi, and pool area were perfect spots to connect with other guests and enjoy the friendly vibe. Everything was spotless and well-maintained with a great sense of style. The staff we interacted with were extremely friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The guests were also open and welcoming, which, in the end, reflects how you engage with others. <3 Highly recommended, and we’d love to come back! 😊

This was my second stay at Mar Bianco (the first one was last year). On my first visit everything was mostly fine, except for some moments when I felt like a gorilla in a zoo — some mornings people from outside the resort would walk around the premises, almost as if they were watching us. Later I found out the resort was for sale, which made the situation even more uncomfortable, especially since you’re supposed to be able to feel free there. That said, the service from Davinia (housekeeping) and Juan (the manager at the time) was excellent, and the facilities were in very good condition. This year I came back in September. The complex is still up for sale (I saw it online), but at least this time there were no outside visitors during my stay. Juan is no longer there, and now there is a new manager, though I barely saw her and, when I tried to speak with her, she seemed to struggle with English. Davinia, on the other hand, continues to provide fantastic service, but the resort itself no longer feels the same: a jacuzzi broken for the whole stay with no repair, damaged umbrellas, and the bar (which no longer opens) looking in poor condition. There was also a lot of insistence from the new manager before arrival to complete the online check-in, which felt a bit forced. Overall, it’s a shame what Mar Bianco could have been. Last year it showed much more promise, but now it feels neglected. Probably better to start looking at other options.

Mar Bianco is a relaxing, luxurious resort within walking distance of any grocery store, amusement park, or yumbo! Accommodation was perfect. Soundproof rooms. The beds were so comfortable and the air conditioning was especially useful for those hot afternoons. Laundry is available on site. The staff was excellent, especially Davinia, who gave us the warmest welcome. You can tell the staff is passionate about what they do because they gave the best service and local tips for the island. They even arranged taxi service to the beach and the airport, both of which were fast and easy. The bar is a great addition with Leo as DJ and barman. His mojitos are amazing. The cleaning staff and everyone I encountered at the resort had a lovely demeanour which made our stay at this clothing optional resort very comfortable and welcoming. The jacuzzis were perfect temperature, all installations modern - AC, fridge, cooktop, rain shower (refurbished in ‘23) and the view from the rooftop is from the mountains to the shore! Romantic for couples, exciting for those who are looking for excitement. I would definitely return!

The apartments are very nice, clean and new. It’s fairly compact complex but that was fine. Nice to have jacuzzis available too. However the entry system is via electronic PIN code. This proved very problematic as on 3 occasions on our 3 night trip our code failed to work leaving us locked outside, on one occasion at 2am in the morning. The previous occasion this happened the owner provided a master PIN code so we were able to use that. Our neighbours in room 1 also got locked out at 3am for the same reason and we gave them the code we’d been given which worked for their room also. But this of course meant security is compromised by multiple guests having the same PIN entry. Getting locked out was a big problem and if the technology worked it would be great but getting locked out in the early hours is not at all great. I wouldn’t return to this property solely for this reason

I stayed here during bear carnival and I have to say I was sceptical before I arrived and had low expectations. But oh my was I proven wrong!! Very nice rooms with all a nice little kitchen area, yes that could have been designed a bit more practical but for a week it did its job. The pool was a nice way to cool down form the hot sun and if you needed warming up there was a hot tub in every corner up on the two roofs. The other guest very very friendly and it was in Avery quiet neighborhood too. The cleaning staff was the cherry on top. Very friendly, helpful and funny. Will definitely stay again here on my next visit.

Great location within 20 mins walk to Yumbo, rooms are great although the basement ones are a little dark..the overall feel is a little underwhelming as there's no real atmosphere around the pool..the bar is closed so it felt a little bit dead and quiet

Very friendly and helpful staff. We booked the deluxe option and was fully satisfied. The place is very clean, nice salt water swimming pool and 4 warm jacuzzis. The only criticism I have but this is for the whole island is the lack of drinking water fountains which meant we had to buy a lot of bottled water, it’s a lot of plastic waste.

(Translated by Google) Winter Pride is a great event. For a week there is a varied and top-class free program in the event area of the Yumbo Center. Anyone who complains about the €1 toilet fee is probably always in a bad mood. We bought the VIP ticket in one day. Then you also have seating and a preferred view of the stage. The staff was super-nice. There was also a demonstration parade on Friday. Due to the shortness of the route, this was not comparable to the German CSDs, but was still a nice statement for diversity - even if it is perhaps less important here in Playa del Inglès than in other areas of Europe.

Nestled in the vibrant Yumbo Centrum, Wapa Tapa is a delightful culinary gem that brings together the best of traditional Spanish and modern international tapas. This cozy eatery offers an array of fresh and exciting dishes, including delectable Spanish cheeses, Canarian wrinkled potatoes, and Galician-style octopus. Guests can unwind with a glass of sangria or choose from an impressive selection of reasonably priced Spanish wines.
We’ve been coming here for years, the food has always been amazing and consistent hosting from Carlos and Adrian. And now since Michael and his partner have taken over the food is as ever as good and an amazing atmosphere. We will always return! Great hosting from the new owners and we think they will continue the legacy for many years to come Liam & Amy, UK

Very bland, tasteless food which was a shame since the menu looked good. Everything we had lacked seasoning which made us very sad. This was not a cheap meal but it tasted cheap. They apparently had specials but our waiter didn’t let us know about them, we learned about them when another waiter waited on the table next to us. Don’t believe the hype, if this place was good once, it isn’t nearly as good now. Skip this restaurant and try another, better option for tapas in Maspalomas.

I've always struggled with the value of tapas. That said I also like the variety of trying different dishes and when they are cooked with good quality ingredients like the dishes here are, they are worth it. Flavours were amazing.. very tasty dishes. Sangria was very good and presentation festive. Service was quick and efficient. We really enjoyed our experience here which is impressive since it was quite busy. Side note to the restaurant, when I searched Google Maps for Tapas restaurants in the area for some reason you don't appear?! Thought I'd share that as you might want to look into that.

Wapa Tapa offers ‘al fresco’ dining off a menu created by chef Adrian Leared. Formerly ran by Adrian and Carlos, it has this year been handed over to the Michaels. For the record, 2025 is our 11th year eating at this (still) fantastic tapas house - you are right to think we know this place well. Let’s start by welcoming the Michaels and Louisa to the team, as always everyone made us feel extremely welcome. Inevitably, when new management takes over, there will be changes. Suffice to say that we would not hesitate to recommend Wapa Tapa to any discerning gourmet visiting Yumbo (reservation is strongly advised), the food remains fantastic, the prices are within the range we have come to expect, so what’s not to like? Well, here’s what we did not like: 1) wet wipes - this is big no no for us, we enjoy our finger licking, but please it reminded us of KFC - do consider returning back to the old environment friendly hot water bowl 2) presentation used to be a little better, for example, the beef medallion was served with a grilled cherry tomato on top of a wooden board, now we get it on a pretty regular clay dish (pictured) 3) the Portuguese style cod croquetes were served very oily on two separate occasions - they are not being sufficiently drained, and in our opinion they could use a wedge of lemon And here is why we still think this is the best eatery (2025) in Yumbo: 1) while we do miss Carlos’ flare and flair (who wouldn’t!) the Michaels were outstanding hosts, leaving no stone unturned to accommodate our every request (I like my king prawns with more rock salt, no problem!) 2) Osni’s talent as a barista continues to grow and please us every year - this is where you want to go for a nice cocktail after a meal, fabulous sangria too 3) the place is bigger yet again - we enjoyed a wider selection of sitting places and the end of indoors dining - well done team, great work with the renovations 4) but of course, we come here first and foremost for the food. There have been minor changes to the menu (we do miss the cheese board trio selection in the cold tapas), but most changes are very welcome, particularly the original Italian ice cream trio as a dessert (yum) If you’re still reading this, here are our top 3 tapas in 2025 from Wapa Taoa: GOLD MEDAL: The Hake Fillet, remarkably well cooked (on at least 3 occasions) with a crispy skin, served with a simply divine smoky sauce (pictured). SILVER MEDAL: Grilled Acorn-fed Iberian Pork Presa, a very close contender for the first place, it is likely Adrian’s best creation, and deserves its place as the second best tapa (pictured) BRONZE MEDAL: Uruguayan Prime Beef Medallion, if you’re a meat lover this is gustative delight, tenderness heaven, served with mash and caramelised onions (pictured) HONOURABLE MENTION: King Prawns, for the more savvy Gran Canaria tourist, this is where culinary dark arts present you with the best prawn tapa in Gran Canaria (pictured) - we do want more rock salt on it though. Book, visit, enjoy - your taste buds will thank you.

Faro de Maspalomas is a historic lighthouse built in the 1890s, located at one end of Maspalomas beach near the iconic Maspalomas Dunes. It's a popular spot for watching breathtaking sunsets and enjoying the pleasant temperatures of Gran Canaria, which range from around 23C in winter to 30C in summer.
A beautiful area in Gran Canaria. Lots of restaurants to choose from, many high end designer shops. This part has clearly been well invested in and attracts large amounts of tourists. The views around are incredible. The sunset is amazing it generally feels like a welcoming and safe area. Although I stayed 15 mins from here, the hotels look incredible and I’ll look forward to visiting one perhaps next time.

Restaurante LoLa is a relaxed yet sophisticated dining spot located in southern Maspalomas, amidst the desert-like dunes and upscale hotels. The restaurant draws inspiration from various cultures including Mexico, Japan, Peru, and Italy to create elevated steak and seafood dishes as well as gourmet desserts. The menu features whimsical takes on ceviche, tapas, risotto, and more using locally sourced seafood, herbs, and vegetables from the Canaries.
Lola in Maspalomas is a standout for refined flavors in a relaxed, stylish setting. The atmosphere is chic but unpretentious—perfect for a slow dinner with friends or a quiet evening for two. Soft lighting, tasteful decor, and a calm vibe set the tone. The food speaks for itself. The Beef Carpaccio was paper-thin, melt-in-your-mouth tender, with just the right punch truffles. The Grilled Octopus was beautifully charred yet tender. And the Lemon as a dessert - ufff -Bright, refreshing, and elegant—a zesty finish that cleansed the palate without being too sweet. Service was smooth and professional, with staff who know the dishes well and pace the meal perfectly. Lola is a great pick if you're after high-quality food, thoughtful presentation, and a relaxed, upscale vibe.

The food presentation and quality is good at fine dining level. It’s like a bistro inside and smallish. Simple menu and drinks but that’s because the quality is good. Although the rib eye was a bit chewy which was surprising. Not a lot of atmosphere but the food made up for it.

Asian fusion restaurant
Asian restaurant
Samsara is a unique and romantic restaurant located in the popular tourist town of Maspalomas in Gran Canaria. Specializing in Asian fusion cuisine, it offers a captivating dining experience with dishes influenced by Indian flavors. The restaurant's interior is adorned with exotic trinkets, creating a welcoming atmosphere for families. Samsara's small sharing plates allow children to explore new flavors, including fragrant Thai curries, samosas, and grilled meats.
We had such an amazing experience in this restaurant! Not only the vibe is really cool, quite over-the-top but it really suits it and doesn’t feel cluttered, quite the opposite. The staff is definitely something that would make you come back to this place - every single person there was super friendly, chatty, and helpful. They made us feel welcome and well taken care of. The food was also divine! You will find there Asian-fusion dishes and everyone will find something for themselves. I highly recommend trying black pasta with seafood. Highly recommend stopping by!
Joanna D — Google review
It’s always a pleasure to come across a unique dining experience while on holiday and restaurants don’t come much more unique than Samsara. On booking, we were asked if we wanted to eat on the terrace or inside. We chose the latter and on arrival slightly regretted our choice as we walked past the tables tucked away in the tropical garden adorned with statues and other religious iconography. Inside, however was no disappointment; every square inch packed with objects that appeared to represent the collection of a lifetime of travelling. The staff were welcoming, enthusiastic and knowledgeable; each wearing a unique necklace comprising of stones hand picked by the owner to represent the “aura” of each individual. Food was served on hugely oversized plates. The jus not just spread randomly but as individual works of art, the dessert artistry painted across two plates, representing a sugary Whirling Dervish. Had we ordered three desserts, we would have been presented with a triptych. The theatrics complemented some competent Asian fusion cooking which clearly keeps customers coming back for more.

Samsara is one of those rare finds that gets everything right. The service, the ambiance, the food - flawless. The waiters didn’t just take our order; they took the time to walk us through the menu, offer thoughtful suggestions, and make the whole experience feel personal. The food? Unbelievable. Every dish was layered with flavor and creativity, a true showcase of Asian fusion done right. The drinks were just as impressive balanced, beautiful, and clearly crafted with care. Tucked along the beach, Samsara has this calm, intimate energy that makes you want to linger a little longer after your meal. Between the setting, the service, and the food, it’s an easy 10/10 and absolutely worth the visit🔥

IT WAS AMAZING! The food was really good and tasty. Absolutely nothing to complain about there. The portions are quite big and there were four of us so i would recommend taking 2-3 starters and 2 mains or 2 starters and 2-3 mains for 4 people. Its better to come here with more people because then you can order more and share. The waiters are really nice and polite. The atmosphere is something that i’ve never seen before and it’s a very calming place. Overall a 10/10, would definitely return!

Truly a museum and garden, Samsara has quite a collection of Asian art including several Buddhist pieces. There are plants everywhere, some 20+ years old. The restaurant is upstairs and a quiet retreat from the bustle of Maspalomas. They suggest ordering a couple of dishes per person, although we found this to be too much. We had the lamb, duck, shrimp salad, and vegetable crepe. All were tasty. We took food home for the next day.

We had a lovely meal this evening, the food was delicious (Especially the duck main), but the staff were very attentive and knew exactly how to ensure we had a amazing evening. La Palmera Sur Restaurant, located inside the Gold by Marina hotel, is a favorite dining spot in Playa del Ingles. The restaurant offers a varied and sophisticated gastronomic experience with a focus on Asian fusion cuisine. Diners can enjoy classic dishes like eggplant chips and calamari sandwiches, as well as innovative creations such as squid noodles and Hong Kong Canarias noodles.
Palmera Sur is such a vibe! Loved the ambience super aesthetic and perfect for a cozy dinner or special outing. Celebrated my moms birthday here ! I came specifically for the famous white chocolate soup, but sadly it wasn’t available during my visit. That said, the aubergine chips with honey were a highlight crispy and delicious, though a bit pricey at €14. The cordero (lamb) meatballs were absolutely amazing so soft, flavorful, and well-seasoned. Overall, a lovely spot with great food and a beautiful setting. Would definitely visit again (hopefully next time for the white chocolate soup!).

Food is really good although we would have liked to see more variety in the menu given the duration between our previous visits. Really odd to see a couple eating a pizza in the restaurant before the main service, I wouldn’t have minded but was not on the menu it looked really good. Service started well but was let down by a young lady who lacked any customer empathy. Atmosphere is only marked as poor due to the obnoxious behaviour of a group of 4 who were not controlled by the team. Disappointing overall but worthy of a visit just to try the wonderful creations. Aubergine crisps are a delight.

This restaurant is located just right next to the Gold Hotel. The atmosphere is relaxed. The concept is around smaller dishes meant for sharing. The menu covers all sorts of styles, from fish tartars and meat options to vegetarian plates and desserts. We ordered the bread with local spreads, ceviche, duck gyoza, and stuffed arepas. Presentation-wise, everything looked really appealing, but flavor-wise it didn’t quite match the high prices and our fine dining expectations. The ceviche lacked acidity and had too much mayo for my taste, and the arepas felt a bit too greasy. On the upside, the service was excellent, and the ingredients were clearly very good. Still, the overall food quality didn’t meet my expectations, so I found the value for money not good enough.

Excellent meal this evening. Thank you for looking after us. Food overall really really good. Chorizo buns a highlight. The pineapple dessert was good but not as great as the other fantastic things on the menu. Cucumber spritz delicious! Overall a really nice experience with very good waiting staff making sure we understood the menu - especially complicated by the several languages spoken by our group!

The food was really good… I highly recommend… mmm… hard to choose, I just recommend whatever from the menu, it was tasty and the amount of food is good enough. If I have to choose three dishes, it would be the Fried aubergine chips with palm honey and sesame seeds, the creamy rice with carabineer, scallops and plankton, and the mango caneloni for dessert. Important to highlight the service… they were really friendly. The only negative aspect, there were no vegetarian options. Still… will I come back? For sure.

We were recommended La Palmera Sur so many times during our stay we started to think it was being overhyped - lemme tell ya, it's not. Easily the best food and most efficient service we had on our whole trip, and a really nice relaxed atmosphere overall. Everyone raves about the honey aubergine crisps - they're great, but they were actually my least favourite dish of the night! So order whatever you want, you can't go wrong :) The only blip was the creme brûlée (more like a bowl of custard) but for starters and mains everything was flawless.

What a pleasant surprise! Our dinner at La Palmera Sur on September 20 was a very good experience from start to finish. The food was flavorfull. The creativity and originality in the presentation and interpretation of the dishes were truly impressive. We especially appreciated the shared plates concept, which allowed us to enjoy a wide variety of flavors and textures throughout the meal. The service was also perfectly aligned with the high quality of the food — attentive, friendly, and professional. Highly recommended

Not bad restaurant with excellent food. But the staff either needs to be fired or trained: the waiters barely speak English, don't know the menu and can't explain the ingredients, and have no understanding about the courses (they served my dish first, but only served my wife 10 minutes later, so I was forced to eat a cold one). They often forget requests (they never brought an ashtray despite asking three times, and we asked for the bill several times).

We came for Adam Marks show on Saturday and it was absolutely brilliant. Fabulous atmosphere and great service, entertainment, food and drink. The Sunday roast is quality too, caters well for vegans and vegetarians.

There looks to be a lot of tasty British food on the menu here. Unfortunately the meal I got wasn't too to my taste. However I'll might have to try it again as it did seem to have other tasty items on the menu. Staff is nice, LGBT+ friendly and they play good music. Update: went back for a second and third time. In the second and third experience I ordered something different and the food was very tasty.

*Updated review* 8th May 2025 Literally the day after my review, they changed the menu because flakes don't like mushrooms. The new menu you get a hash brown and 1 bacon less. I brought it to the attention to the tall slim guy as I already knew what I wanted but I didn't know the menu changed till the food came. He was super nice about it and brought me some mushrooms. After paying I asked that when I return and I have the dish I originally had, he said yes absolutely. Next time around I return and the women serves me who appears English. I brought the menu change and I asked can I have the original? She said yes. A gentleman then brings my food off the new menu....i just couldn't rise to repeat myself again! Not only that, It wasn't overly busy but the women was getting herself in a tizz for no reason. My mate asked for a coffee and she said one moment I'm busy and with someone.... They later asked for the bill and again said she's busy with someone. I even asked for the bill and never got it and I ended up going to the till to pay. Not entirely sure why the atmosphere has changed soo quickly from my first visit. That said, I've taken my breakfast visit elsewhere. Ive posted an update of the breakfast pic. You can see a massive difference. Shame Monday 5th May 2025 (picture with mushrooms) Being British, I do like to try local food... However, us British like like proper sausage and bacon. So if you want a proper breakfast? Buddies is where you are getting it from

In the photo you can see how this person, I don't know if he is the owner or employee of the establishment, is verbally attacking another girl just like he did to me. I needed to go to the bathroom first and was going to use it and then buy a drink. He ran after me and opened the bathroom door and aggressively pulled me out of the bathroom yelling at me to buy something first. He was very disrespectful. I do not recommend the place or the food.
Gabriela G — Google review
Very disappointing breakfast.. the Full English was only sausage bacon eggs beans and toast.. had to add extra to it to make it an actual full English then when it came it was tinned salty mushrooms and everything was very dry nothing was fried in oil apart from the egg. We left most of it and headed to find somewhere for breakfast. Very disappointing experience won't be returning anytime soon.

Wellness hotel
Hotel Riu Gran Canaria is a lively and upscale hotel located on the seafront, offering 24-hour all-inclusive services. The hotel boasts ocean views, entertainment options, and laid-back dining experiences. With multiple buffet and à la carte restaurants, a food truck, and a snack bar, guests will never go hungry. The hotel also offers various activities such as art classes, live music, sports facilities, five pools, kids and teens clubs, and a playground.
Beautiful hotel, with modern touches. Reception staff were great and very helpful with any questions/issues. Pools were decent although maybe a little small for the quantity of guests at the hotel. Bar areas 10/10, staff lovely and very friendly. Sports bar was a must visit - remember your €1 for the pool tables! Beautiful hotel all in all, would happily visit again.
Jenn L — Google review
My friend and I holiday together every year. Riu Gran Canaria exceeded our expectations. We prefer a twin room, we were allocated a double, we requested the bed to be split, instead they upgraded us to a better room which was twin, on the 3rd floor. The whole complex is so clean, our room was cleaned daily. Food was plentiful with lots of choice in the buffet for each meal. They do cater for dietary requirements and you only have to ask! Staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. We attended the Neon party on the Friday night which was such fun, everyone engaged. It wasn’t possible to get a lounger at the infinity pool unless you went down to reserve at 5am, I’m up early and watched people going down as early as 4.30am. There are plenty sun loungers around the various pools, I find it fascinating that as humans we are creatures of habit and once you found a favoured spot by the pool you are determined to have that same spot daily 🙂. We have already decided to return to this hotel same time next year, not something we normally do. Jose, at the bar beside Moka, thank you for the laughs. Riu Gran Canaria, thank you for a lovely time!

Our 3rd visit since the refit, and everything still looking great. Rooms are clean and well maintained, water and minibar kept topped up. Gastronomy even better with 'Atlantic' now served a la carte, other themed restaurants are still good and buffet offering hot and fresh. Location is good, not quite 'beach front' but on the promenade and a short walk to shops and sandy beach. Animation a great blend of non-pushy daytime activity and decent evening offerings plus the weekly #riuparty. Will be back again in 2026!

What an amazing hotel, we loved every minute of our stay. The staff are lovely and cannot do enough for you, you have a very hard-working team who keep the place clean and tidy, we had an issue with our bathroom which was resolved immediately. The food was excellent, lots of choice and we really enjoyed visiting the extra 4 restaurants on site. The animation team do a great job in getting everyone involved in the daytime activities, I really enjoyed the aquagym. We cannot wait to come back again, it was our first visit to Gran Canaria but will not be our last, a lovely place to visit.

We have just returned from our 5th stay at the RIU Gran Canaria. We visit at the end of September to celebrate our anniversary. There is seriously nothing not to like about this hotel. The staff are fantastic, always so helpful and very friendly. The buffet offers an outstanding choice of excellent food, whilst the speciality restaurants provide perfect variety over our 7 night stay. We always book the Italian, Asian, Grill and the A La Carte and the quality of food is great. The pool areas are spotless and spacious and we enjoy the adult infinity pool regularly. Add to this the branded drinks throughout the day, the excellent Sports Bar and separate Coffee Bar, the price we paid as RIU class members offered tremendous value. Given the 10 minute stroll into the main town of Maspolomas via the promenade, which offers a shopping centre, restaurants and other bars, you really cannot go wrong by booking a stay here. Highly recommended.

Just returned from a week's stay and the hotel was fabulous. The range and quality of food available was outstanding, by far the best we have experienced in an all inclusive resort. The rooms were excellent and spotlessly clean, although some of the furniture probably needs updating as they were well worn (the chest of drawers for example) but that was a minor criticism. Staff were awesome, and the entertainments team worked so hard everyday. There were plenty of activities to keep everyone occupied during the day, but the only real criticism we have was that the evening entertainment was a little hit and miss. Due to our arrival and departure, we only caught the tail end of the White Party which looked amazing, and we missed the Neon Party unfortunately. The first two nights we had a Spanish Flamenco group and a Tina Turner tribute, which were very good. And then, it sort of went downhill, with the entertainments team performing, which whilst we appreciated the effort, for a 4* hotel, we would have expected more professional artists. There was a sort of Abba tribute, but again, the entertainments team were part of that, and it didn't really work. I don't mean to sound mean, but that was THE only thing that we were a little disappointed in. The day time entertainment in the Sunset bar was awesome though. The pools were lovely, there were plenty of sunbeds, although you did have to get there early(ish) if you wanted a good spot. All in all, a brilliant week in a stunning hotel

Just returned home from a 29 day stay! Originally went out for 11 nights with my husband but my family were coming to the same hotel a week after so thought I’d just extend my stay. After being here for a month I can say the Swim Up Suites are lovely, beautiful rooms (and our cleaner Mina was amazing!) The second room I stayed in was a garden view room, and again, amazing. All the staff, from the cleaners, to the waiters / waitresses, bar staff, entertainment, receptionists, management were all so lovely, nothing was ever too much trouble and everyone was always so polite Highly accessible hotel for anyone with accessibility difficulties, perfect location. Just 10/10!

Just returned from 7 days in this amazing hotel, we were 2 adults and 3 children, we had 2 rooms with a connected door. The room: clean and have a balcony. Nice toiletries and bed are so comfortable. They provide clean towels every day and they refill the mini bar with water, bear and fizzy drinks (all branded, not cheap staff) Food: lots of food to choose from, we had an amazing meal at the steak house, remember to book! The food is fresh, so delicious and great verity. Lots of fresh fruits and nice cakes too. The staff; from the staff in the reception to the staff at the restaurant, everyone is so nice, friendly and helpful. Entertainment: lots of activities to get involved with, make sure you try, great way to keep the kids busy and meet new people too. There is a show every night and a party every Friday night, we had the neon party and it was amazing!!!!!!! Location: literally 5 minutes walk and you in the shopping centre. Great view and if you continue 5 minutes more (just after the light house) you reach a nice sandy beach. Make sure you take water shoes with you. The pool area: 6 pools and you don't have to put a towel before dawn to save your spot. Really there is no need, plenty of beds! We never not had beds, and there were 5 of us. The water is nice and warm. Make sure you get a clean towel every day. The pools are so clean!!! What to do? If you going as a family I recommend the aqua park, make sure you ware water shoes as floor gets really hot. Nice fun for the whole family. Lots of activities out the hotel. Overall: simply the best! From location to food, from facilities to staff, from pools to breakfast, everything was just perfect! 7 days might be too short for us but was enough. Don't look anywhere else, this is really the best hotel and the location is definitely the best on this island. We met lovely people, and mostly we made lovely memories. Enjoy 😊 Big well done to Tana, Kevin, Nicholas from the entertainment team (all were brilliant but I can't remember all their names) Jessica from the restaurant, she is simply amazing! The housekeepers who cleaned our room every day. Spotless. The receptionists who were always happy to help when needed. Jo TUI guy who is so helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you!

This luxurious hotel is located in a peaceful setting and offers stunning views of the marina, as well as a rooftop pool and spa. There are also facilities for food lovers, including a gourmet restaurant, as well as 1890 La Bodeguita which specialises in tapas. The hotel is set within easy reach of both the art museum Museo Nestor and Doramas Park.
Now I’m finally back and right away with a really good feeling. This hotel is often mentioned as one of the few truly top-rated places. Getting a real 4-5-star rating isn’t common, and to be honest, I was a bit doubtful that a hotel in Las Palmas, on a small Canary Island, could live up to that kind of international standard. But they’re really close. Even though our check-in was low-key and anonymous, the service was top-notch from the very start. We were offered help with our bags as soon as we walked in, got a refreshing welcome drink, and were warmly greeted at reception. The hotel has clearly gone through some much-needed renovations over the years – and it shows. A few highlights really stood out: the beautiful pool area, the attentive and friendly service staff, and the overall quality of the food and drinks. Everything felt thoughtful and well-executed. The spa also deserves a special mention – clean, calm, and very professionally run. A perfect place to unwind. This is probably the only truly classy hotel on Gran Canaria – and it shows.

I would recommend Santa Catalina Hotel with my eyes closed! You really can’t go wrong with this choice. The hotel itself is stunning, and several highlights truly stood out: the pool area is absolutely gorgeous. The staff goes above and beyond with their attentive and genuinely friendly service, making you feel completely welcome. The food and drinks are exceptional, with every detail carefully crafted to delight. And the spa, simply breathtaking, offers a truly luxurious and serene escape. If I had to mention one downside, it would be our check-in experience. The staff member who assisted us wasn’t very welcoming, she didn’t offer us a drink while we waited, and compared to other guests being greeted warmly and professionally, her attitude felt a bit rude. Thankfully, our check-out experience more than made up for it. The staff member who handled it was absolutely perfect, friendly, professional, and efficient, so we left on an extremely positive note.

Absolutely amazing hotel! I booked this as birthday surprise for my partner and I have to say, from the second we arrived to the time we left, everything was fabulous! One of the nicest and most attentive stuff I’ve ever seen. Absolutely lovely people and high quality service! Special thanks to the team organising the little treat for my partner’s birthday! We would definitely visit again.

My sister and I came to Gran Canaria for the first time and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely taken care of. The hotel was stunning, genuinely something out of a dream. What really made it special were the people, every single member of staff was so kind, so warm, and genuinely helpful — nothing was ever too much. Any question we had, any little thing we needed, they were always happy to help. They made us feel seen and well looked after. The little touches were everything — from the chocolates left on our bed (so cute!) to the friendly chats and thoughtful service. There was an amazing perfumery in the hotel, live music, the spa/pools and breakfast was next level. They had little turtles there as well, which made it feel so calm and special. The service, food and overall vibe was immaculate. This wasn’t just a trip — it was an experience we’ll always carry with us. We already know one thing for sure; we’re coming back here, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else. The hotel, the staff, the whole energy — it’s unforgettable. Thank you so much to all the staff for being so beautiful and making our time so special. You really made our trip something we’ll treasure forever - We can’t wait to see you again soon ❤️ With all our love, Shola-Ray & Chanté Kaur

Disappointing Experience I visited the hotel on August 5th, 2025, with my mother, hoping to enjoy a lunch meal at one of the cafe. I had stayed here many years ago and was excited to return, especially because the building and lobby are still incredibly beautiful. The food is still quite good but the service is very slow, we were waiting almost half of hour for a simple order. Unfortunately, the overall experience was far from what I expected from a 5-star hotel. While passing through the lobby, I witnessed two staff members—what seemed to be part of management (a man in a black suit with glasses and a woman in a purple dress)—arguing loudly with upset guests right in front of everyone. Their tone was aggressive and unprofessional, which left a very negative impression. I also spoke to other guests who mentioned that the service quality has declined in recent years, which many attribute to poor management. It’s a shame because the hotel has great potential, but it’s clearly not being lived up to under the current leadership. P.S. I read your AI generated response and do not fully understand what you mean. If I come to hotel to have a lunch, do imply that I am not a guest? What kind of family related you mention? Sorry but I think you are being extremely rude to me and confusing me with someone else

We were not able to fly out at the start of our holiday due to an issue with a passport. We notified Santa Catalina, a Royal Hideaway Hotel as soon as we realised. Asked if we could modify our booking and fly out at a later date once resolved. This request was declined. We asked if we could use the room for the last 3 days of our 7 night booking. Which we had paid upfront for on a full board basis. This request was also declined as we discovered they had resold the room. I asked for a partial refund to cover the cost of the full board uneaten food and again this request was declined. The reason for writing this review is to make other travellers aware before booking with this hotel chain. A great business doesn't avoid problems; it's about how you respond to them: - It took 50 dials of the hotel contact number to speak to anyone who could actually help, and in the end they didn’t. - There is no flexibly when the unexpected happens. - There is no customer care. You may have our money but you’ve lost a lifetime of business.

We came here from the cruise port for a “wellness day spa” pass for the day. We did not stay in a room but what a magnificent place - the decor, exterior, spa and outdoor pool. Staff is very accommodating Pool bar for lunch was very good. As we await a long international flight, this was so perfect.

The outdoor terrace provides a lovely setting to enjoy drinks while soaking up the lively surroundings of Maspalomas. The staff is quick, attentive, and serves with humor, creating a pleasant experience for visitors. We wanted to enjoy some cocktails and watch the world go by at the Yumbo Centre 🍹. The service at Spartacus was great. We had a friendly and attentive server who offered us a selection of free shots when we left. We went for limoncello 🍋. We enjoyed the menu, which is a mix of Spanish, German, and English. I wasn’t brave enough to ask for the manbols 🫣. The espresso martini was excellent, outshining the margarita which was t as good as others I’d had🍸. The atmosphere at Spartacus was great. This is right on the square at the Yumbo, so the people watching is perfect and a great way to enjoy a warm evening 🌆. ★★★★☆

Bar Diamonds, located in the heart of Yumbo, is known for its L, XL, and XXL long drinks that were introduced during Maspalomas Pride in 2011. The bar offers decent quality drinks at reasonable prices and has a spacious patio on the ground floor. It's a popular spot for cheap drinks and meeting new friends. The interior is tasteful and relaxed, with attentive staff like Lewis who is experienced as both a barman and waiter.
