American restaurant
Restaurant
Kool Beanz Cafe is a popular spot for lunch and dinner, offering an eclectic American menu in a colorful and offbeat setting. Since its opening in 1996 under the ownership of Keith Baxter, it has become an award-winning establishment known for its vibrant decor, dynamic dishes, loyal staff, and easy-going atmosphere. The cafe encourages patrons to 'eat, drink and talk loud' among friends.
Incredible, I loved it. This was my first time going after hearing lots of good things. Did not disappoint! I ordered the almond flour trout, but substituted the trout for salmon. 10/10, it was so good I cleared the plate. The dessert menu is INSANE - if you can order every single thing. I got the raspberry milk mouse thing. Holy smokes. Would recommend

Second time dining here. Pork belly was very flavorful but could have been cooked a little longer in the over/broiler. The lamb shanks was very tender and tasty but just seemed like the spice over powered the dish. I should have gone with the Salmon or Trout as those dishes looked really excellent. Dessert was refreshing with mango lime baked Alaska. Overall the experience will have me coming back to try another dish.

If I could give 6 stars I would- wow! Amazing service, delicious food, reasonable prices, and a homey atmosphere. Everything was fantastic, and our server Jessica made the night & was so knowledgeable about the menu, she even helped me (super indecisive) navigate the menu. The wine list was very inclusive and reflected some unique wines & flavors. Also lots of GF/DF stuff!! Gluten free friendly :) Such a great spot and a true Tallahassee Gem!

In town on a house hunting trip from Texas. Relocating here to Tally for work. Was recommended to try Kool Beanz out and man was it a delight. From the bright cheery smiles at the hospitality desk to the warm greeting and service from the Front of House Manager Ryan, everything was just wonderful. The shrimp and grits were so tasty. Ryan convinced me to try their Truffle Ice Cream and I do not regret it at all. Hats off to the pastry chef. She knows what she’s doing. Very well ran establishment. Every employee I passed on my way out gave a warm and sincere goodbye. Will definitely be back for more great experiences like this.

Ate here last night and I’m still thinking about our amazing meals today! If you like eggplant please try the fried eggplant with tomato jam appetizer! I got the blackened mahi with crawfish etouffee and crispy kale for my entree and my husband got the peppered flank steak with onion rings and mashed potatoes. Both were delicious! The atmosphere was great and we enjoyed sitting at the bar close to kitchen. Our waitress was very friendly, loved her energy and glad we took her advice on menu recommendations! Too many great options to choose from and she was very helpful. We don’t get out much and thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience last night! Just what we needed :) Thank you kool beanz!

This place may not look like much from the outside, but don’t be fooled. Easily one of the best places in town. I have yet to have a bad meal here. And the service is always amazing. And with the constantly changing menu, there is always something new to try.

I was thinking food in Tallahassee was mid but then discovered Kool Beanz! WOW! We went for brunch and found it to be our favorite food experience here so far! Here is the rundown….Lamb Shakshuka was phenomenal. The sauce was so savory and warm and seasoned perfectly. This dish just felt like a warm hug on my tummy : ) The Full English Breakfast was also delicious - served cooked to perfection as we requested eggs fried hard and the bangers were mild and lovely. The beans on toast were also well done, as the toast maintained its warmth and crispness. Finally, we shared the pecan butter waffle - happiness on a plate to a southern palate! Warm waffle, pecan butter and a pepper jelly syrup makes for one fabulous party on the palate! The staff were very friendly, accommodating and kind! Tally this is some amazing food! We will be back on our next visit to the area!

Cornmeal fried Shrimp app with grits in a remoulade (like a spicy mayo) was dynamite. Crab cakes were loosely packed and fresh, with a jalapeno tartar also great.

Bella Bella is a popular restaurant in Tallahassee, Florida known for its funky ambiance and delicious Italian fare. Run by siblings Amy Schwartz and Marc, the restaurant offers a variety of dishes including their famous bubble bread that keeps customers coming back for more. The restaurant also features outdoor seating where patrons can enjoy craft beers, cocktails, and an extensive wine list. Additionally, Bella Bella is recognized for its private rooms which make it a go-to spot for celebrations among locals.
Highly recommend! We initially went to a different Italian restaurant closer to our Airbnb, but the wait was over 40 minutes. I am so glad we did not wait because we would not have tried Bella Bella. Everything we ordered at Bella Bella was delicious, and our server and the service were great. It was so much better than any Italian chain restaurant.

My wife and I spent the entire day traveling from the west coast and were looking for a place to eat. Thankfully we located this place. From the moment we stepped in we knew we were at the right place. The atmosphere was perfect. Growing up in New York I felt like I was home. We ate at the bar and Max and his partner were attentive and so friendly and nice. My wife and I enjoyed the delicious food we ordered…. Highly recommend. We will be going back for sure.

Outstanding flavor! My New Yorker Italian husband says this is the closest to his family's gravy that he's tasted anywhere. I have a gluten allergy and they had a Snapper and risotto special that was the best I've ever had! (And we dine out a LOT). My husband had cavatelli and meatballs. Their gorgonzola vinegarette salad dressing was really good!! Deliziosa!

One of my favorite restaurants I’ve been to in Tallahassee! Had a date night here and the atmosphere, food, and service were perfect. The bubble bread was my absolute favorite and I can’t stop thinking about it. The pasta was delicious too, I’m sure everything on the menu is just great. Our server was so friendly and helpful, really enhancing the night! The servings were really generous, with plenty of leftovers. Overall, this is a great spot for dates and a perfect local restaurant. I recommend everyone to try this place!

Nice Italian restaurant. You walk inside and immediately feel the Italian flair. Staff was prompt to seat you and paid immediate attention. Service was prompt and staff was very friendly. Food was absolutely delicious. I ate the cannelloni which was very flavorful and was served hot. We had a great experience. Worth the price.

Amazing food, amazing staff, and amazing atmosphere...a true experience of wonderful cuisine. Be sure to ask about daily specials.

At over $22 for a lasagna, I don’t think it’s a wild expectation for the pasta to be fresh or at least al dente. Unfortunately, the lasagna was overcooked and extremely salty, so this one was a miss for us. That said, the ambiance was great, and our waitress was very kind and attentive, which we really appreciated.

Restaurant
Midtown Caboose is a laid-back, railroad-themed spot in Tallahassee, Florida that offers late-night dining with a creative menu of eclectic sandwiches and burgers. The restaurant is known for its inventive burger combinations, such as the PB&J burger featuring a classic patty topped with melted peanut butter, cheddar cheese, choice of house-made jam, and smoky bacon on a Kaiser roll.
How have I never eaten here?? This place has so many mouthwatering options. I got the goat cheese appetizer and the Mother of the Dragons burger. So delicious! The outdoor covered area was very comfortable with TVs and a full bar.
Jessica H — Google review
I recently visited Midtown Caboose at 1406 N Meridian Rd, in Tallahassee, FL. It's a very nice place with an interesting decor and I want out back to sit at the bar on the patio. The bartender and I discussed a couple of choices and I chose the cheeseburger that was really good. A very good place to go and eat.
Greg K — Google review
It is very rare for me to open a menu and literally have 10 items jump out at me right off the bat that all Iook equally amazing. My husband wanted a really good burger so Midtown Caboose has been on our radar. We finally went and it surpassed our expectations so much so that both of us have been back three times in the past week! The first time I went I got the mushroom burger which was probably the best burger I have ever had. It was so moist and the portion was just right. I ordered coleslaw before seeing the sweet potato fries side and while the slaw is good, the sweet potato fries are to die for. The second time I went I got the meatball sub. It was just as delicious as I thought it would be. My friend ordered the popeye salad and said it was incredible, especially the dressing that comes with it. The chili was also amazing that we got for an appetizer. The margarita was great, there was a lot of pineapple in it and I’m not a huge pineapple fan so if you are, you’ll love it. This is my new favorite restaurant and my only regret is not knowing sooner how incredible this place is and all the calories I’ve wasted at so many other places in town.
Michelle M — Google review
This was a pit stop on a long road trip and I came because I could bring my dog on the patio. The food was amazing and different than the normal. I had the pulled pork egg rolls and they were amazing. My partner had the local draft and had nothing but good things to say. I think it’s for sure worth the try if you haven’t had it
Justin B — Google review
Great find on our drive through. Great burgers!! Steve had the Sundance Kid and I had the Shepards Pie!! Onion rings and tots were great too.
Amie H — Google review
Bar has no draft beer because the O2 system is broke! The soda machine is also broke so only water and tea for options. The outside wall fans are broke. Took an hour and a half to get served our food. I had to ask for a utensil to eat my food. Food was decent😀 Server was really nice but not trained whatsoever. On the way to our car the cooks were smoking pot next to the back deck. I had to explain to my son what the smell was 😢I think this is an extreme case of poor management! Obviously they don’t care about fixing important issues. This place will go out of business 😢
Kevin L — Google review
This place is an absolute gem! You can't go wrong! Appetizers and entrees are both incredible! My dad and I ate here for the first time, and it was phenomenal. Buffalo chicken dip appetizer was incredible, but the burgers stole the show. I had The Sundance Kid, while my dad got The Mother Of Dragons. Perfectly cooked, incredible flavors!!! Absolutely go here for an incredible meal! I can't wait to come back!

The Edison is a stylish restaurant located in a former power station, offering a diverse menu of international cuisine. Whether you choose to dine outside with scenic views of Cascades Park or inside the contemporary design of the 1920s power plant, you're in for a delightful experience. The lunch menu features fresh seafood options like grouper Reuben, lobster roll, and fish tacos served with grilled corn and a choice of sides such as orzo salad and sweet potato waffle fries.
Situated in a fully refurbished historic building, this restaurant has it all; atmosphere, location, bar, outdoor seating, excellent customer service and absolutely amazing cuisine. The Yoder's Fried Chicken entre is peak comfort food heaven! The fried green tomatoes and dinner salad with grilled chicken were excellent as well. Looking forward to come back here again next time we're in Tallahassee!

I was with a large party and our server did a great job keeping up with all of our food and drink orders. It took a little while for everything to come out, but when it did it was amazing. From the cocktails to the dinner I really enjoyed my time at The Edison. The ambiance is amazing too! I would love to go back!

We make a reservation for 8:15 for our Son graduation Was very disappointed We seat at 8:45 We have to call the attendance several time to take our order . They bring the drinks and forget one of them Was 9:15 and have to make a complain because we ordered and wait all that time for our food Really it’s a wonderful restaurant with a tremendous cooker Five star for crab cake the best but they need a better service staff very very bad ⭐️ for the service hope to come back and give them another shot improve the service please ! You have a tremendous chef that save this restaurant reputation but if the service keep back you going to lose a lot of customers… Be smart Give the costumer a free entry like bread or chip to entertain the long wait ! A table next to me with 8 people including 3 kids have yo give the babies banana and cereal to keep the busy one of the kids what eating the crayons yo give then to color We left and the order for them was not ready very sad ! Please do better the costumer deserve it Out table was very dark have to use my phone the lamp was not working The menu very informal and very limited to celebrate very special day kids graduation Highly recommend my plate crab cake ❤️

Walked over to The Edison during one of the concert series for Cascades and had a moderate experience. The service wasn’t top notch but it wasn’t horrible. The buffalo chicken dip appetizer was good and my grilled pork chop was good. It wasn’t as juicy as I would’ve desired, slightly on the dry side and the putney wasn’t very thick to coat it. All in all, it wasn’t the worst meal and atmosphere but very in the middle which I don’t prefer for the higher price point. The best part was the view of Cascades and the city line as well as the live music from the amphitheater!
Metrius H — Google review
I hated to leave this and our waitress was very sweet but we waited a long time for drinks and had to get our own extra silverware, asked for lemons for our waters to 3 different people and waited a long time on the bill. I tipped her well regardless because she was trying. The food was not good at all. And we are not foodies by any means or a hard to please crowd. We ordered 3 appetizers. The crab cakes tasted like cat food. The charcuterie board was very sad with nuts from a jar, simple small amounts of cheese and meat- no fruit or olives and more dips and honey than anything. The tuna tar tar was ruined by being put on guacamole. Not avocado slices but very mushy guac. 3 of us got burgers and as a $22 burger especially it was not good at all, dry, plain, bacon not good. No one finished it and we were hungry. The pasta was lackluster and the chicken from the Tuscan chicken pasta was soft gooey and fatty and my adult daughter did not eat any of it. My adult son has the ceasar salad and he said it tasted like dirty sink water (like the iced waters- that's why we wanted the lemons) I'm so sorry but the menu needs a total rehaul and the kitchen staff may need some training. I own several businesses so I hate doing this but otherwise how would you make any changes? I understand this is a corporate restaurant so maybe they could help this franchise. The location was the main draw and we enjoyed the symphony from our table... Location is everything but for repeat business it also has to be good food especially for a $500 bill.
Laura H — Google review
This is a lovely restaurant. I have been a couple times. I have never had any issues. It overlooks Cascades Park which is really beautiful at night. The food and drinks I have had was really good. An even bigger plus is that they will throw in a free treat if it is your birthday.

Tasty food, good service, quality cocktails. The best part... was the desert menu. Bread pudding and probably the largest serving of key lime pie! Looking forward to next visit.

My wife and I had late afternoon/early dinner, we dined outside on the covered patio. Cameron was our server and he was exceptional! His recommendations were spot on, his service was excellent and personable. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The food was delicious the portions were generous the drinks were wonderful. Most of all we recommend that you ask for Cameron as your server for an exceptional dining experience.

Masa is a contemporary restaurant in Tallahassee, owned by experienced restaurateur Lucy Ho. The restaurant offers a menu filled with Asian-fusion delights and sushi, accompanied by modern decor with Eastern accents. It's an ideal venue for business lunches, dinner parties, or casual dining experiences. The establishment is known for its popular dishes such as the Dirty Harry Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, Pad Thai, and fried dumplings.
My friends and I recently visited Masa for a girl's night. Our waiter was Dominic. We were extremely impressed by his service, especially with him being on the younger side. Service in restaurants has drastically declined over the last few years, but you guys are blessed to have Dominic at your establishment. The ambiance was beautiful, the service was perfect, and the food was phenomenal!! The bean sauce for the Edamame was used for all of my food. It was that good. I will definitely be coming back!!

Alright Thai/sushi restaurant with a full bar and indoor and covered outdoor seating options. The lunch prices are all quite reasonable and the portions large, but overall the food was only alright. The sushi was pretty decent.

We have gone to Masa many times and have never left disappointed. The food is always extremely flavorful and nice portion sizes as well. Sushi menu is one of our top 3 in Tallahassee without a doubt. If you've never been you should try it. You will leave very satisfied. 👍💯🎯

Went here for dinner with my mom. She had the seaweed salad for her starter and ramen, with duck, as her main course. I started with the Thai Coconut Soup (which was AMAZING) and had the Pad See Ew for my main course. We both felt our main courses were just ok and agreed we wouldn't order either if we came back again. Our server was very friendly and attentive to keeping our drink cups full. The atmosphere was very warm and calming. Would definitely go back the next time I'm in town.

Soy Ginger Cod over baby bok choi; overcooked fish served a side of hard and old rice. 🙁 Spicy Tuna roll was inedible; little fish with too much sriracha. Honey Walnut Shrimp ordered spicy; received not spicy but at least edible. Best thing about the meal was the shrimp tempura appetizer and that’s setting the bar low. Floors were sticky and couldn’t even move some of the chairs. Had to ask for drink refills. The atmosphere was decent. The service and food were subpar. Ample parking. Had great hopes for 1st (and last) visit to Masa. The food at Little Masa is much better. Go there instead!

Masa is a Tallahassee staple and brings back fond memories of being romanced by my now husband of 12 years... We started with coconut soup which was full of curry flavor and hot and sour. This stayed in the lanes and was mildly hot and mildly sour but was chock full of shiitakes tofu bamboo shoots with good flavor and a noticeable shot of sesame oil. We shared a very generous portion of green curry with tofu. Couldn't finish it between the two of us. But we tried! We enjoy the outdoor covered seating, the friendly service we get everything, the generous servings, and the pure flavors. A Lucy Ho classic in her series of successful restaurants.

UPDATED 2.0 --Happy hour is MORE than worth your time and money. This place will forever be our Tallahassee stop. 😜 - Please let's give these guys a boost! It's Saturday night and they closed early because they didn't have business, but holy COW is this an amazing sushi place. Again, the SAKE FLIGHTS were amazing. The Veggie Rolls are a vegetarian DREAM, and the chef specialties are very on point. 👌 This time I went with Beauty and the Beast and I can't wait to try another one next time we come through Tallahassee. HUGE rolls for the price! The sake flight was good, but the hot sake is always my preference. Absolutely recommend the Viva Tally. 😋

Azu Lucy Ho's is a popular dining spot in Tallahassee, offering a fusion of Chinese and Japanese cuisine with a unique twist. The restaurant is known for its sushi rolls, classic Asian dishes, and an extensive selection of hot and cold sake. Surprisingly, Azu Lucy Ho's also serves a Sunday brunch buffet featuring a variety of carefully selected entrees, nigiri, appetizers, soup, salad, fresh fruits, and desserts.
We had a great experience here for our annual Christmas Eve dinner. The service was fast, and the waiter gave us a wonderful suggestion. He was spot on as what he suggested was the amazing. The food was delicious, and the portions are huge.

Had a good lunch here today. I've had several good meals here, but I don't feel comfortable yet giving them a 5 for the food (even though I want to) because there's always something off. Not enough to ruin the meal, just a little bit not right. Example today: I started with the sunshine roll and it was some of the best sushi ever. The shrimp in it had the perfect crunch and flavor. The cream cheese and scallions went great with the shrimp. I followed with hot and sour soup served hot (temperature) and hot (spicy). It might be too spicy for some but just right to me. I asked my server, who was wonderful BTW, for a description of the crispy Thai chicken that I eventually ordered as my meal. She said it was a chicken breast, panko breaded, and fried. I like white meat chicken, so it sounded good. When it arrived, there was no white meat chicken... all dark meat. It was still good but not what was advertised. Keep trying, Lucy Ho, you're doing a lot of things right... just work on a few details.

The food used to be very good. The past few visits, I have noticed the food has gone downhill. I ordered sushi, hot and sour soup, and a house salad. The sushi was very dry. The shrimp in it was rubbery and seemed old. The salad was terrible. The lettuce was brown and not fit to eat. The soup was so hot I could not eat it. It was never burn-your-stomach-lining hot before. It may have been from the day before. I like spicy food, but it was beyond anything I could tolerate. Maybe you get better food if you dine in.

When on vacation, one doesn't want just to go out for dinner, one wants an experience. And that's what my family received!!! Tuna tar tar, red dragon roll, sweet and sour bento box, seared yellowtail roll, every single menu option and drink option was beyond expectations. Stephanie was out waitress, but as soon as we walked in, we were met by Wayne, an imposing figure, all smiles and very welcoming!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and service more than most places. If you are in Tallahassee, and you need sushi, this place will not disappoint!!! Job well done across the board! Thank you so much!!!!

挂羊头卖狗肉,别来。Not for Chinese. Other Chinese people, please forget you know Chinese and ignore all dish names in Chinese because they are NOT what you expect. For example 夫妻肺片(normally a cold dish soaked in hot chili oil) is a boring stir fry here. Another dish had a similar problem but I don’t remember what it was. Just imagine the best thing in a dish is the cilantro on top….. There was one time I asked for take out they asked me to wait 40 min to pick up and when I showed up they told me I got here too late they need to re-cook it and I have to wait. The portion of poke bowl is very small. Just total disappointment every single time I came here. I don’t know how they managed that. I have absolutely no idea why people speak highly of this place.

This is a Tallahassee treasure. The food is always great. We dined in for lunch for about $15 a person. The bento boxes called our names. LOTS of food that was delicious! There were few patrons; it was about 2:00 pm. The service was on point. The restaurant is clean with a very nice casual atmosphere.

First time guests - absolutely pleased with our visit to Azu! Wonderful experience from the moment we walked up to the restaurant! The door was opened by the manager, and we were greeted with a warm and welcoming smile! Chris, our server walked up to our table with an enthusiastic energy, excited to walk through the menu with us as well as list his recommendations, with details of why he recommends them; described what to expect down to the pros and cons to options available (sodium/sugar levels) WOW! I cannot even begin to express how refreshing it is to come to a restaurant and to have this level of care from start to finish! We are customers for life! AZU is an innovative sushi spot with a posh atmosphere that makes it perfect for a fancy date night out in town. I ordered the poke bowl and was surprised to find it served as an appetizer without rice, designed to be sharable. While I did not realize that until it arrived, the presentation and flavors were fresh and enjoyable. This place clearly puts thought into offering something different, and it makes for a memorable dining experience.

Nestled in the heart of Tallahassee, Food Glorious Food (FGF) is a delightful culinary haven that offers a seasonal American menu in an inviting atmosphere adorned with stone walls and modern art. This charming eatery serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner alongside an enticing dessert selection. Guests can enjoy their meals on the spacious patio or within the two-level dining area.
I had the cheese burger and fries. A pretty common dish, but they did it well. The burger was seasoned nicely and cooked well. The fries were fresh cut. The service was a bit spotty. I felt like my server didn't have much experience. The entrance seemed odd. The place is in the basement. As you approach the building it does not give a restaurant vibe. But just follow the signs. Once inside it was a very nice casual upscale eatery.

Popped in @ 12:15 for lunch outside. Waitress was super sweet but service was lacking. We ordered fried green tomatoes which was the best thing we ordered. We also ordered prime rib, grilled chicken sandwich, mushroom soup & collard greens. Food arrived without collard greens. We told the delivery guy. He said he would get them. 10 min later no collard greens & our server stopped by & we asked her to take them off the bill. Again the fried tomatoes were great. Prime rib sandwich was good but served on a hamburger bun which was odd. Chicken sandwich came on toasted bread. The chicken sandwich & soup were just okay.

Was recommended this restaurant from a buddy of mine. There's always some lil hidden gems of amazing eat spots in Tallahassee, FGF didn't disappoint, started out with the ceaser salad, and my wife had the filet mignon that was cooked to perfection, and really didn't need a knife to cut thru it, it was literally that tender! I had the caramelized salmon with asparagus and mashed potatoes, with the mustard sauce, just a overall sneaky good meal and presentation. The experience was definitely worth the price, again it's another one of those hidden gems of our great city of Tallahassee... Oh and last but not least the Desert Flower and Blood Orange Margarita, was a lil small explosion of taste pallet goodness, on top of a nice thick slice of carrot cake🍰😋🍸

Our server was incredibly rude. I am not one to complain about service normally as I have worked in the restaurant industry for over 15 years and sympathize with servers/the kitchen etc, but I was honestly shocked. I came for lunch on my birthday and although the food was delicious, and other interactions with staff were good I am hesitant to return any time soon.

I have been to Food Glorious Food on countless occasions now and I am blown away every time! I’ve invited family to go and always recommend when I’m suggesting good food! Whether you’re going for lunch or dinner they have plenty of options-from bangers and mash to seared grouper-you won’t be disappointed. Also, try their key lime pound cake!

There were three of us and we all had a different entree. Everything we ordered was delicious! Food was fresh and tasty. We will for sure go back next time we’re in town visiting. I also recommend their desserts, you won’t be disappointed!!

I lived in Tallahassee for 14 years, and Food Glorious Food was always a vibe. Anytime someone asked for recommendations, it was the place I would mention without hesitation. So when I recently came back to visit, it was the one restaurant I knew I had to dine at—period. The food? Not bad. But the service? Terrible. And that’s the part that really stung. In the past, dining at Food Glorious Food was always an experience—something to look forward to. This time, my server didn’t seem to know anything about the menu, which made the entire experience disappointing. Here’s the thing: when your restaurant is literally called Food Glorious Food, the service should be just as glorious as the food. Otherwise, no matter how decent the dishes are, people will stop coming. In a city like Tallahassee with so many dining options, you can’t afford for service to be your weakest link. Before stopping in, I actually went to Connors for a quick hors d’oeuvre, and honestly—I wish I had just stayed there. Food Glorious Food needs to do better. Equip your servers with the knowledge they need, and if you already are but they’re not using it, it may be time to reevaluate who’s representing your brand. Tallahassee locals and visitors alike deserve the full experience this restaurant was once known for. I truly hope to see Food Glorious Food live up to its name again.

Oyster bar restaurant
Seafood restaurant
Shell Oyster Bar is a classic, no-frills spot in Tallahassee that's perfect for oyster enthusiasts. This BYOB joint offers fresh and affordable Apalachicola oysters, along with other Gulf seafood options. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere with limited indoor seating and also provides takeout options. Keep in mind that it's a cash-only establishment located in an old Texaco gas station.
This is a wonderful local restaurant! I just recently found it. The crab claws and the grouper are my favorite. The shrimp is good as well. My husband loves the raw oysters. The homemade cocktail sauce is amazing! It has such good flavor! The food has always been hot and fresh! The service has always been great!
Amy F — Google review
Shell Oyster Bar is hands down one of the best spots in town! My son and I split a dozen garlic-nuked oysters (amazing!) and both had the Shrimp Dinner Plate—everything was fresh and full of flavor, and you have to try their homemade cocktail sauce (perfect mix of horseradish and hotsauce). The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, and the service was excellent. Everyone there was super nice. If you're looking for a classic Tallahassee Oyster Bar or just want the best seafood in Tallahassee, this is the place to go!
Joe M — Google review
Food was excellent (fried shrimp and crab cakes, coleslaw slaw, cheese grits) as was the service. Im giving 5☆ for the atmosphere because Shells is a local mainstay and hasn't changed at all since I can remember. Food also came out super fast. Highly recommend but fair warning, parking kinda is terrible once the lot is full.
Gordon D — Google review
Extremely Disappointing Visit to Shells Oyster Bar I visited Shells Oyster Bar with a friend, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. I ordered the catfish lunch, and my friend got the full platter. She didn’t receive any hush puppies with her meal, so we brought it to the staff’s attention, and they brought her just two. Meanwhile, the hush puppies I received were hard as a rock. I bit into one, immediately spit it out, and let our server know. Instead of offering to remake them, they suggested microwaving them—something I found completely unacceptable, especially in a seafood restaurant. Who microwaves hush puppies and serves them back to a customer? That alone was enough to make me lose my appetite. Beyond the food, the service was unsettling. When I asked for a drink refill, the server walked over toward me, then turned around and assisted a white male customer first, handing him ketchup while completely ignoring my request. I don’t want to immediately call it racism, but the difference in treatment between Black and white customers was hard to ignore. The energy in the restaurant felt off, and I didn’t feel welcomed or valued. I originally thought Shells was a solid, local family-owned spot, and I was excited to try it. I don’t mind supporting white-owned businesses—but I expect fair treatment and decent food. Sadly, neither were provided. I won’t be back and cannot recommend Shells Oyster Bar to anyone who values good food and respectful service.

My family and I came here a few weeks ago while we were in town. My sister wanted some oysters, and I had read some decent reviews. It's a small space, but we were seated pretty quickly. Please know that they only take cash. My sister, niece, and nephew all ordered some oysters (nuked). The girls also ordered a side salad with their meals. Between our table, we had a good mix of seafood. The wait staff was friendly, but what I didn't particularly like is that they only gave the girls 1 oz of salad dressing. They asked for another side of dressing. The waitress seemed to be slightly bothered that they asked for more. She informed us that that's a .50 charge for extra. At this point, we were like okay (what were we supposed to do/ say). I'd advise you if you're gonna order a salad and don't like it dry, to be prepared to pay extra or bring your own salad dressing. The fried crab claws were good but REALLY tiny. The size surprised me. I don't think I've ever seen claws that small. My niece ordered the steamed shrimp, but they were cold. We asked if she could get some more, the waitress told us they didn't replace the shrimp, and if she warmed them in the microwave, they'd overcook. That's really unfortunate, especially since they were served cold. After looking at the plastic bowl that the shrimp were served in, it appeared that they had already warmed them over before serving them to us in the first place. I wouldn't advise ordering the steamed shrimp. It's one of the easiest and fastest ways to prepare shrimp, and they seem to not know how to do it properly. So, we had to pay for my niece to get some fried shrimp. The shrimp were fried good, as well as the fries. My fish was really salty, but, at this point, I was OVER IT and was ready to go. If there is some place other than this restaurant that you can go for seafood; then I'd suggest going there first. If it's oysters you crave, then perhaps, this is the place. I'm pretty sure this was my first and last visit.

Heading to Mt. Dora, FL. My husband decided he wanted oysters for lunch... I picked well, oysters couldn't have been fresher! The onion rings were homemade and monstrous and the grouper sandwich was delicious.. I had a hard time putting it together for a sandwich, but I managed! We also hadan the bowl of crab claws, 12 bires but good. The place is definitely not fancy.... but everyone is friendly and the prices are great. Order a dozen oysters and they'll shuck them right in front of you! Don't forget to bring CASH!!!

Shell closes at 330pm, and has for over 15 years, so heads up! They always have great fresh oysters, panacea farm raised. The grouper sandwich was very good, but mine was just a handful of actual nuggets, not the big filet I've been served in the past. Servers are friendly. If you go, get there by 325p to get served! Enjoy!

Harry's Seafood Bar & Grille in Tallahassee is a trendy spot that serves up New Orleans-inspired dishes and signature cocktails. Located near the downtown area, it embraces the influence of Cajun and Creole cooking, offering a unique menu steeped in flavor. The restaurant retains the core components found in New Orleans-style Cajun recipes, providing a wide range of options for diners to choose from.
First time trying Harry's and my wife and I found it to be delicious. I wish I was good with names because our server was awesome. She kept our drinks filled and made sure everything was taken care of. I got the she crab soup to start and it was delicious. Best I've hadsince I visited Charleston . The Louisiana Fondoux was great and the complimentary bread was also a welcome addition. I got crab crusted red fish and my wife the andouie crusted grouper. Both dishes were excellent and the smashed potato sides were quite good. Only thing I didn't care for was the corn side dish that came with the red snapper. Not awful just not my favorite. If you are looking for a date night destination or just a good place to eat try Harry's

The food was amazing. We had the jambalaya soup as an appetizer and it was scrumptious. The butter with the bread they served? Amazing. The shrimp and grits was great! 😊 Service was fast. 3 years ago I wrote 3 star review and deleted it because it’s dramatically improved!

Consistently good food. I’ve tried the red fish and grits prepared slightly different each way and they were both delicious. The chicken and grits was good as well, but the red fish takes the win. Customer service is always great and I’m usually seated and in and out within my work lunch.

Had the grouper and shrimp platter and chose to go with the collard greens and red beans and rice. The grouper was seasoned and cooked very well. The collard greens were seasoned perfectly and were extremely good. The red beans and rice no bueno!! They were not seasoned, over coooooooked, and needed a lot of help. The mahi was cooked well and the butter sauce was good. The corn grits needed some seasoning and a little salt would have gone a long way. Service was lack luster to say the least. She was all over the place and forgot often. Maybe if she stayed on task instead of wondering off to chit chat with the people up front she would have done better.

Visiting from out of town & a google search lead me to this place. It was exceptional. Great vibes from the staff and the atmosphere alike. Food was amazing. Highly recommend Jade, she was great. Great farm to table restaurant. No bar seating for solo diners and there was a wait to be seated. But, you can walk the gardens which were very nice. Loud but energetic atmosphere, great menu. My only negative was that my White Russian was made with crushed ice and didn’t have the creamy texture I was looking to end the meal with. I’m sure they’d have fixed it if I said something. Would definitely return.

This is a must stop in Tallahassee!!! The beautiful gardens produce outstanding food! We had the Cobb salad , Brie Caprese sandwich on sourdough. preblack and blue burger and the catfish bites. The catfish bites were served in amazing grits with hot fresh jalapeños on top! Totally awesome. The Cobb salad had fresh boiled eggs from the henhouse and wonderful greens. The burger looked and tasted sooo good. Come back for the drink specials.

We had an amazing experience at Backwoods Crossing! From start to finish, everything was spot-on. We started with the charcuterie board, and it was absolutely awesome — a perfect mix of textures and flavors, beautifully presented, and big enough to share. You could really tell they put thought into every piece on that board. The Old Fashioneds were top-notch — smooth, well-balanced, and made just right. You can tell the bartenders take pride in their craft, which made the drinks feel a little extra special. For the main course, I went with the Hen House dish, and it was hands-down one of the best things I’ve had in a while. The flavors came together perfectly, the chicken was cooked just right, and the whole dish had this comforting, hearty vibe that made it feel like an elevated version of classic southern cooking. We finished with the cheesecake, and honestly, it was 🔥 — rich, creamy, and the perfect sweet ending to an already incredible meal. The whole atmosphere at Backwoods Crossing just hits right — relaxed but still classy, great service, and you can tell everyone on staff really cares about what they’re serving. Definitely one of those places where you leave already planning your next visit.

Fantastic restaurant! Now included in my Tallahassee top 3. I started with the Rowdy Shrimp app. Think Bang Bang with more of a Buffalo spin. Great crunch, just the right amount of heat in the sauce and complimented with blue cheese crumbles. Speaking of blue cheese, I had the house salad with their homemade blue cheese dressing that was delicious! Salad was a large portion of mixed greens with tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and shaved parmesan. I followed that with the black and blue boar burger, a blackened 70/30 mix of pork and ground beef with blue cheese crumbles (done with blue cheese for a few days). I finished with the apple crumble. There were no issues with parking and the seating was comfortable. All the food was really good with the boar burger as the standout. If I had any critique, maybe the apples were a little too crunchy in the desert; but it was still good. Finally, the service was outstanding. I look forward to returning so I can try some of the dinner selections. Oh, and there's a very friendly cool cat (Hades) hanging out in the garden.

Bird's Aphrodisiac Oyster Shack is a charming seafood joint known for its fresh oysters and lively atmosphere. Despite the name, it offers more than just oysters, with options like burgers, veggie burgers, Caribbean jerk chicken, and mahi fritters. The menu also features classic American dishes with a focus on seafood and white meat-based items. The place is popular for its live entertainment and karaoke nights. It's pet-friendly with outdoor picnic tables available.
A Memorable Lunch at Bird's Aphrodisiac Oyster Shack I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bird's Aphrodisiac Oyster Shack with my son, and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our server, Megan, was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. We decided to indulge in a seafood feast, and every dish exceeded our expectations. The grouper sandwich was incredibly fresh and flavorful, the baked oysters were cooked to perfection, topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, and garlic, and the fried shrimp were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Not only was the food outstanding, but the service truly elevated our dining experience. Megan ensured that we had everything we needed and made excellent recommendations. If you're in the area and craving some top-notch seafood, I strongly recommend stopping by Bird's Aphrodisiac Oyster Shack. We'll definitely be returning!

In the mood for grouper so found this place. The reviews were quite good so decided to venture in and try them out. It was very hard to keep my focus on the meal looking around and seeing filth and previous patrons leftovers. Air conditioning dripping all over you and the tables. Don’t look thru the pass into the kitchen, you can see all the filth back there too. Obviously inspections haven’t happened here in some time. The grouper sandwich was cooked well, could have been hit with some seasoning and salt. Shrimp was pretty bland. Not entirely sure what people are really thinking when they do these reviews. Maybe it is the drinks that get them, but the atmosphere and food are definitely not worthy of good regards.

Quirky local joint. Had a blast. Excellent oysters. Today's batch was out of Louisiana. A bit pricy but still delicious. Fried shrimp from the freezers but still good. Awesome fries. Dont know what was in the Bird Sauce but i want to. Yummy. Half a dozen beers on tap and a fridge full with dozens more. Great variety. Mixed drinks were better than I've had in a while. Not fancy but the LIIT was worthwhile. I had two. Quirky decor. Indoor and outdoor seating. Good music. Most importantly, a wonderful and welcoming staff.

Definitely one of the better burger spots in town! But unfortunately only rating 1 star solely based on the fact that this place charges full 16oz (pint) beer prices for a MINIATURE 13oz baby cup of beer. When i mentioned to the bartender that the beer cups were VERY obviously labeled as 0.4 liters (not a 16oz pint) she rudely told me I was wrong. That’s not even including the half inch of foam. Absolutely horrid, terrible place to drink. But a great place for a burger 👍🏼🍔

I have NEVER written a review in my life but tonight I am inspired to do so. I heard this place had the VERY best hamburgers from more than one person including the two waitresses. We ordered a hamburger and we wanted to share it so when it arrives we cut it in half and it was RAW..... totally RAW. I returned my half and they attempted to cook it some more and it still came back RAW. RED RAW...! Neither my wife or I could eat our burgers and we didn't touch them. When the young waitress came back to give us our invoice she asked how everything was and we showed her the burger and explained there was no way we could eat it as it was not cooked. She smiled and returned to our table with our bill. I could NOT BELIEVE that she did not delete the cost of this un cooked burger from our invoice. Needless to say, I will NEVER go back to this place again.

Our daughter goes to school at FSU. She was getting married and we called about doing a reception party/gathering with her friends to celebrate. (This was after calling multiple places that didn't even call back) Spoke with Rachel right away. She was GREAT! So easy to work with and great communication. We decided to rent out the side room with an open balcony. The rental, food choices, and flexibility were great. We decided to do a sit-down dinner and then open for social events afterward. When we get there they even had menus with there names on them and everything set up ready to go. We had 2 servers who were also amazing and did a fantastic job. Once the social event started, workers were on it!. From set up, service, attention to detail, accommodations, breakdown, and everything in between, it was done with ease. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Our daughter had an amazing time, and I can't thank them enough. I would recommend them to anyone I could.

Jake I can say without hesitation that Jake Panzella is the best bartender I’ve ever had the joy of being served by. From the moment I sat down, Jake’s energy, professionalism, and effortless charm set the tone for an unforgettable experience. He’s not just slinging drinks — he’s crafting experiences. Jake’s knowledge of cocktails is next-level. Whether you’re ordering a classic or looking for something off the beaten path, he nails it every time. He remembered my favorite drink after just one visit and somehow made it even better the second time. But what truly sets Jake apart is his personality. He’s warm, attentive, genuinely funny, and treats every guest like they’re the most important person at the bar. It's rare to find someone who can keep a whole crowd engaged while still providing personalized service — but Jake makes it look easy. If you’re lucky enough to be at a bar where Jake is behind the counter, stay. You won’t find a better bartender — or a better vibe — anywhere else.

This was our first brunch at MadSo but it for sure won’t be our last! 10/10 would recommend.

I had the time of my life at MadSo on game day. Kind of pricey to get in but had a blast. The wait time was too long for food so we just hit the bar since Bert was serving shots. Epic morning. We will be back.

Very mixed. The building is nice. 😎. The staff seemed uninterested in customers. I got a nice fish sandwich and 2 beers. I had to flag down the server to get a 2nd beer. They were very energetic to get a card to hold as I guess it must be normal here to skip out on the tab. The glass was dirty they brought for my beer…. I stopped her from pouring the beer to get a clean glass…. Beer abuse! All you need to do is look at it when you pick it up but that’s means a server has to give a shit. No one picked up anything including dishes that where sitting around or empty cans. The food was ok, nothing great but not bad. Beer is beer. Dirty glasses and staff that seem to not give a rip leave a lasting impression. I would skip it and find someplace else with personality. $14 sandwich, $8 beer. I guess that’s the norm but 👎 from me.

My daughter recommended we check out Madison Social this week, and I’m so glad we did! I was craving sweet potato fries and a margarita, and both absolutely delivered. The food was delicious, the drinks were really good, and everything came out in a timely manner. What stood out most was the service, every team member who stopped by our table asked if we needed anything else, and we felt completely taken care of from start to finish. My husband’s beer came out a little warm, but when he kindly asked for a colder one, our server quickly fixed it with no issue. Great vibe, great food, and great service. We’ll definitely be back. So impressed.

I’ve always really enjoyed the food and atmosphere at your restaurant, which is why I continue to come back. However, I’ve consistently had a disappointing experience with one particular server who I’ve been seated with multiple times recently. On several occasions, I’ve waited over 10 minutes just to be greeted at the table by Kai, even during times when the restaurant wasn’t busy. Service throughout the meal such as placing orders, receiving drinks, and getting the check has taken unusually long, often stretching the visit to over two hours. I’ve also frequently had to flag the server down just for basic requests like water refills. While I understand that every server can have an off day, this has been a repeated issue that’s impacted the overall dining experience. I’m sharing this feedback in hopes that it can be addressed, as I genuinely enjoy the restaurant.

Went for our second wedding anniversary and it was AWESOME, especially our server, Race. If his girlfriend is reading this, tell him Sean and Ryan say hi!

I really expected more out of this place. We had a 5:30p reservation. We were checked in and led to our table. There were two other couples along the same wall of us but the waitress only served those tables… it was 30min before my boyfriend stuck his head out and a woman asked had we been served. Need I mind you, we were getting ready to walk out cause 30min JUST to ask for water is absurd (reason why service is a 3)!! Alexia apologized and proceeded to help us throughout the evening. We did the Thursdate event and Alexia was so knowledgeable and helpful as first timers. We had the bacon/ jalapeño cheese to start with carrots/ broccoli/ cauliflower/ bread/ apples - not a fan of raw cauliflower. The mojo style was SO GOOD but pretty salty on the broccoli. The garlic pepper steak and shrimp were my favorite - the teriyaki steak was a bit thick for me. We finished with the flaming turtle chocolate fondue and the desserts along with it were so good- the banana and strawberries were fresh! We were celebrating our anniversary and Alexia made it special by decorating a plate for us with chocolate syrup… if she wasn’t our server, we definitely would’ve walked out without ever looking back for a second chance! The bartender poured/ mixed some good drinks too!

Decided to do 2 cheeses and a dessert, and absolutely amazing. Spinach/artichoke was amazing but smores chocolate was the best. Our server, Avery was amazing and definitely recommend her for anyone who goes.

Anytime my husband and I travel through Tallahassee in the evening, we stop at The Melting Pot. The ambiance is perfect, the food is great, the prices are very reasonable (considering what you get), and we have consistently had great service. It's nice to be in a restaurant that isn't bright and loud. I wish there was a dress code, but that's a personal preference, not a complaint.

You need to call ahead and reserve your seats. We did. We were seated almost as soon as we arrived. Great server. She was polite and got us everything we asked for and wanted. Food was good. And the place was clean. 1-18-22 We went back. Still made reservations. It was awesome.Food was great. Service was perfect. The gentleman was polite. Even though we stayed until an hour after they closed.

We were in Tallahassee on business and saw this across the street from our lodgings. So glad we chose to have dinner there! Danielle was an amazing server and almost seemed to read our minds and always knew when we were ready for the next course. The food is outstanding. From the cheese & brother fondue to the chocolate. Top quality. We will be coming back!

So The Melting Pot has been on my list of places to go for a long time now, but I've never had anyone to go with until recently. I've also never been to a fondue place, so I was excited to try it for my first time. I went on a Friday evening with a group of friends, and we all got the full course. I got the house salad, which was quite good. Simple, but good. For our cheese, we got the Bacon and Gorgonzola. I was not disappointed. Very very good with the breads, fruits, and vegetables that they give you. It was thick and creamy, and had slightly tang to it, and stuck to the dipping items quite nicely. The only reason I'm giving this place a 4 instead of 5 is because the main course wasn't as great as I was hoping it'd be. It's good, but not great for the price. I ordered the classic, so it came with a variety of things like sirloin and shrimp. I also ordered a side of salmon to go with it. In my opinion, the salmon was the best thing there. Very tender, and it maintained a very fresh taste and feel. Dipping that in the various sauces was close to perfect. Side note, when cooking your things with a group of people, go about 30 seconds to a minute longer than they tell you in the pot or else it could still be raw in the middle. For dessert, we got the flaming turtle. Excellent. The flaming part was also pretty cool at the beginning. The chocolate fondue mixture did not disappoint. It was easily my favorite part of the meal. I also ordered a side cheesecake slice. It had a chocolate crust with chocolate raspberry filling. Also delicious. I was only able to get decently full after ordering the extra stuff that I did, so I was a little surprised at the portion sizes. However I can eat a lot, so I guess in reality it's normal. As everyone knows, this place is pretty pricey. I paid $61 before tipping, and I only ordered 2 extra side items. Definitely a special occasion location only. The staff was pretty great though. Very involved with the table and personal, which we all appreciated. I'll definitely try to go back, but it'll be awhile.

American restaurant
Lucilla is a charming city with a rich history, offering an ideal blend of adventure and relaxation for visitors. The city boasts numerous attractions and activities, making it perfect for both sightseeing and unwinding. Lucilla is home to a casual restaurant that serves American comfort cuisine, including burgers and weekend brunch.
My family and I went here for my graduation dinner and I am so glad we did!! The food here has both amazing presentation and taste! And the service was great, they were very attentive and congratulatory about my graduation. We had such an amazing experience here and I would gladly recommend this place for a fancier, intimate dinner with family and friends! Next time I hope to try the pork chops, because they were out on the day we came. We tried their filet mignon, chicken, cheesecake, and shrimp and grits. I can’t remember what the same of the last pasta dish we had was, but it was good!
Skylar Y — Google review
We were very much looking forward to a visit to Lucilla based on the reviews, photos, and menu and recently had that opportunity while celebrating a special birthday. Unfortunately, for us the food was a major disappointment. The presentation was nice, service pretty good, but three of the four dishes were terribly underseasoned. Everything from the protein, potatoes, and veggies all lacked seasoning. For the price point, flavor should be on point. Unfortunately, I do not recommend. Also, virtually no options for children if that's important to you.
Florida G — Google review
I discovered Lucilla while traveling through Tallahassee and really enjoyed the experience. The food was well prepared, with great attention to flavor and presentation. Their wine selection was especially impressive and paired nicely with the meal. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, and the service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a solid dining experience—I’d definitely come back.

Dinner is always wonderful! The grouper with the key lime sauce is so yummy. The oyster appetizer is also very good. The chef sent us an extra order because the first one came out cooked a little too long. We also had the crème brûlée for dessert and it was phenomenal! The restaurant is small so I would recommend making a reservation,

We had a lovely dinner at Lucilla’s. The atmosphere is intimate and welcoming. We had 3 seafood dishes and everything was delicious, beautifully presented. Service was attentive. Highly recommend.

I googled places to eat nearby and was led to this wonderful little restaurant. Driving up to the place you might think you've made a bad choice because the building doesn't speak to the high quality of what's inside. Once inside you find a wonderful little dining room filled with joyful dinners. The menu has a nice variety of choices, all of which are excellent. I chose the shrimp and scallops with grits which was exquisite. All in all it was an excellent choice. I highly recommend it.
Bill T — Google review
Lucilla is always a wonderful experience, for a weeknight out or for a special dinner, but this was even better. I'd been trying to take my partner out to one of the special event dinners for a while, but the time was never right. Finally, I got my chance. We attended the Femme Fatales wine dinner and had a wonderful experience. The food and service were fantastic and perfectly paired. The scallop dish was so good that I cleaned the plate, and the duck was spectacular, but my favorite was the wild mushroom enchilada. Dessert is not pictured because I ate it. There was also an overview of details about each wine when it was served, and the wine specialist walked around and talked with all of us to answer any questions. 10 out of 10, can't wait to attend the next special event.

Hands down one of the best restaurants in Tallahassee. We've never had a bad meal there. The Grouper St. Charles is my favorite and the Green Hill Chicken is another excellent choice. The rosemary bread and sautéed spinach are staples I get with every meal. Every dessert they make is delicious. There are no wrong choices at Lucilla.

Great atmosphere and great vibe! Met a customer for a drink while on a business trip for a drink and then stayed for dinner with my family. We split a few entrees and everything was delicious. They got the baked Alaskan dessert and I opted for the cannoli. I recommend this place!

I was so solo, so I sat the bar, the three gentlemen working behind the bar were all excellent and worked fantastic as a team. Stephen helped me the most picking out perfect bourbon and making the best old-fashioned I’ve ever had. I also had the best octopus appetizer I’ve ever had and the best squid seafood pasta I’ve ever had. All the pastas are made in house. They helped me pair my pasta with a beautiful Tenuta Italian wine. Everybody sitting around me was friendly and happy and the place had a really nice vibe. Anytime I’m in Tallahassee will definitely come back here.

Atmosphere is upscale & quiet. The waitstaff was terrific! The food was good. The food (minimal portions & everything is a-la-carte) was delicious but for the price you pay you could feed your family for the week. FYI: You order a steak and literally you get a steak w/a sprig of rosemary for decor. Not even a smear of anything under the steak, not designer veggie……. Just a steak for &45.00-100.00 depending on steak choice. Any sides are additional ($10.00+ each). The sides for pasta $15.00+ is smaller than most places appetizers. So my take is “Know before you go”. You know it’s an upscale “aka” expensive place to eat and be prepared to pay a lot for very little food. The food is great….but you will leave hungry unless you spend more than you anticipated. Keep in mind my husband and I are not big eaters. Staff was amazing. They were well Informed and helpful. Advisement: rsvp and business casual at least is the attire.(no flip -flops, beach wear, or similar attire) Attached images $17.00 side of Butternut Ravioli.

While visiting the Capitol for some meetings we had an amazing night out at IL Lusso. Stephen and Eli were our primary servers and both did an excellent job catering to our every need. We started with the grilled octopus. After recently having it in Greece we were hopeful it would live up to that experience. It did. It was cooked to perfection! Notice the size of the sides. We mistakenly ordered three sides for two people. We were not prepared for the amount of food they brought! We enjoyed a great steak and Zucchini pasta for our main course. We capped off the night with their seasonal cheesecake special. If you are celebrating something special or looking for a high quality meal make sure to give them a try.

The red snapper piccata was cooked to perfection, we also tried the wagyu which had a great medium cook as recommended by the server. Top 5 in Tallahassee restaurant wise definitely recommend.

Joshua and others gave us great friendly service. I LOVED watching my wife having a near "Harry met Sally" reaction to EVERY piece of food she ate...bread, butternut squash soup, fish, mushrooms. My chicken was tender but too salty... but had great grilled veggies. I'd would have loved half the chicken and twice the seasonal veggies. Need more veggies options. Thanks!

Our server was absolutely wonderful. I want to say his name was Michael, but I could be wrong. The food was really really good and decently priced. However, I don't think the coleslaw was good. I believe it might have spoiled/soured. It may have been the dressing they use in making it but it didn't taste right to me.

This is by far one of the best stops in Tallahassee! My husband and I stopped in for dinner, and we highly recommend the Bison New York strip steak. The cut was fantastic, and full of flavor. The sides were a great compliment on the plate and left you wanting more. Our server Lynn was knowledgeable and attentive, we came back the next day, and sat at bar met some locals and got to see Lynn again. We tried to bison meatloaf which didn’t disappoint, it’s not every day or every restaurant you get to have that option. Be brave and try the Bison!

This was our first restaurant stop as a family during our trip, conveniently located just a short walk from the American Hotel where we were staying. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with classic American décor and captivating paintings that added to the charm of the place. We were fortunate to be served by Aaron, who was prompt, professional, and attentive throughout our meal—truly enhancing our dining experience. Our kids ordered the chicken tenders, which came in generous portions and were a hit. My husband had the bison salad, and I got a taste—absolutely delicious! The dressing was flavorful, and the bison was cooked to perfection. I ordered the bison meatloaf, which was tender and savory. The gravy was rich and divine, and the mashed potatoes and carrots were equally delicious. Overall, this was a fantastic experience for our first night. The service, the setting, and especially the food made it a memorable start to our trip. Highly recommended!

Wow! This is a great place to eat good food and feel good about it. We got the Bison fillet. This may be the best steak we have ever had. It is a little expensive. But it is worth it. Ted's is definitely one of our favorite go to places. Thankfully they are open later than all of the other places in town that close super early. Service is always fantastic and the drinks are top notch. They always have one of the best steaks in town. The cedar plank Salmon is one of our favorites as well but we tried the Bison Meatloaf Sandwich and it was amazing. Definitely recommend it! Oh and never forget the onion rings!!!
Robert V — Google review
My lovely wife took me here for an early Father's Day surprise on 5/14/25 (it was our first time at Ted's). We were quickly greeted and seated when we arrived. Our waiter was named Ian and he provided top notch service. My wife and I both ordered the bison delmonico ribeye, she had mashed potatoes and fries, I had onion rings and parmesan broccoli. My wife and I both agreed that the bison ribeyes were one of the most tasty pieces of meat we've ever had. All of our sides were delicious, the mashed potatoes were real potatoes skin on, fries were real cut potatoes, the parmesan broccoli needed a little salt for my liking but was really tasty, the onion rings were some of the best I've ever had. With a generous tip the tab was about $130. We both literally ordered the or one of the most expensive items on the menu. Now this was a splurge for us, considering that I could definitely see ourselves eating here a couple of times a year. I would definitely recommend you give this place a try!

I’ve been eyeing this restaurant for a while and finally gave it a try! The food was great! I ordered the red snapper dinner and my guest ordered the chicken parmigiana. Everything was flavorful and tasty. The Baklava cheesecake was also a hit with the authentic ice cream parlor style ice cream. However, the service was lacking. The waitress didn’t assist us with the menu even though we told her we were first timers, took 10 minutes to give us menus, and had no personality whatsoever. I can’t say enough good things about the service provided by Taylor while making the reservation and waiting on us. He’s an asset to the restaurant. The rest was not good. We had a table for six and none of us were impressed with the quality of food. There was absolutely nothing fine dining about it at all. Couldn’t even get a nice glass of wine. Then we got our bill and were up charged almost $50 for various taxes that I’ve never seen. There was even a tax on a up charge. We were told since all costs have gone up, this became necessary. We went to Savour the night before and paid almost the same thing and had a gourmet meal and no up charge. I would never in good conscience be able to recommend this restaurant. Food quality was extremely poor….

Loved it and that's remarkable for me in Tallahassee. I'm originally from a foodie city and then lived 10 years in Europe. My husband is German. I guess we're inadvertently foodies because we've tried dozens of restaurants in Tally and surrounding area only to leave as soon as we arrived because the place was filthy or left after our meal frustrated and disappointed. Not at Georgio's. It was perfection start to finish. Immaculately clean. Wonderful service with our server Jack who was quick to answer questions and accommodats my dietary restrictions. The food was impeccable. Felt like we were directly on the Med. Georgio clearly has very high standards. Can't wait to return.

A bit of a disappointment upon my first visit. Okay quality food, but nothing exceptional from the meal I had. You can taste the love and history being the food. Jewel was our server, everything was wonderful. Bold well rounded flavors, refined presentation, and a warm welcoming chef. The food almost moved me to tears. It truly feels as though you are being served dishes from a well renowned private chef. Chef Donna and Jewel are truly gems of Tallahassee. Reangthai is one of Tallahassee’s hidden gems, and it all comes down to Chef Donna. I had the Pork Rib & Shrimp, and it was absolutely incredible — tender, flavorful, and perfectly balanced in a way that only Chef Donna can create. You can tell she puts her heart into every dish, and the result is food that feels both comforting and unforgettable. What makes the experience even better is Chef Donna herself. She’s warm, gracious, and genuinely cares about her guests. Eating at Reangthai feels less like dining out and more like being welcomed into her home. If you’re looking for a place where the food is exceptional and the hospitality is unmatched, Reangthai is it. Chef Donna has created something truly special, and I can’t wait to go back.

Service was outstanding. The owner and chef Donna is so kind and greeted us and checked on us several times. Waiters were very attentive and respectful. Food had awesome flavor and fresh as can be ! Husband had the curry and I had chicken pad see ew. Our Entrees were 18.99. Came out steaming hot ! Good portions, had leftovers to take home. Don’t skip the dairy free ice homemade Thai ice cream. We got pineapple lemon and it was so refreshing after the spice. She has a whole list of flavors. Place is very authentic and we are very picky about our Thai food. Peaceful music playing. Please support a small business, just celebrated 30 years in Tallahassee.

Food was amazing! I had ocean pasta with medium heat and I had to stop myself from licking the bowl! Price is moderate with most plates $22-35. Service was great! It's a very small restaurant so not much privacy with dining.

I had the Chicken Teriyaki Mango stir fry for lunch. The flavors were delicate and perfectly cooked. The slightly sweet Mango flavor with the teriyaki was sooo good. Finished with a dish of berry cheesecake ice cream.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. It was a busy day for them and there was quite a long wait time (However, they apologized mentioning that they were understaffed the time I visited. So, I don't think it's something to worry about). I am not completely satisfied with the taste and the portion size. Some of my friends loved it. I am assuming that's the traditional taste of Thai food. I recommend visiting the place.

Had a bad meal - Ocean feast- Cabbage raw, broccoli same… shrimp totally seasoned laid on top. Very little sauce… hot but otherwise not flavored. Not what I expected from this restaurant.

My wife and I, went a couple of years ago. It was an amazing experience. I'm from Tallahassee, lived most of my life. Finally one day I told her we're going and check it out. Glad we did!!! Cozy, comfy and a exquisite menu. Of amazing food you won't find anywhere else. Lovely...

We went to Clusters & Hops for date night. This was our first visit to their new location and they did not disappoint. The ambience was calming, inviting, and sophisticated. The decor was modern, creative, and natural. As there were potted plants and up-cycled wine crates decorated throughout. The service was exceptional, as the waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the Dover fish special, my husband had the grilled duck breast, and for dessert we had the amaretto mocha crème brûlée. The pictures don’t do it justice as mouthwatering as it looks, it was simply delicious and all well seasoned. We definitely will be coming back & highly recommend this gem to others :)

It is tricky to find. It's small and cozy with a wine and cheese 🧀 shop. I loved the Waygu beef sliders. The wine selection was very nice. Our server was helpful. We were disappointed that there are few salad and vegetables.

Some of the best & most high quality food I have ever eaten in Tallahassee. Very knowledgeable & welcoming staff. Great ambiance & atmosphere. Definitely make a reservation as it is not a big location & fills up.

Hands down, this has been the most satisfying culinary experience I have had in Tallahassee. The ambiance, service and food are all A-1. Lo is an awesome server and the blessed French monks preparing the food are AMAZING. I won’t say anything about the tropical hibiscus sparkler, Italian black cherry Bellini, rock shrimp, shrimp and lobster rolls, short rib and pappardelle pasta, or chocolate cheesecake because I wanna keep this place to myself. *chef’s kiss* p.s. please excuse any typos. I am still enjoying the Sherry Amontillado. :)

Osaka Japanese Steak House is a beloved family-run gem in Tallahassee that has been delighting diners for over two decades. Specializing in sushi and teppanyaki, this establishment prides itself on using the freshest seafood sourced daily from Destin's Gulf of Mexico, ensuring each hand-rolled sushi piece bursts with flavor. The menu also features high-quality meats and locally grown vegetables, making every dish a culinary treat.
Great place for Hibachi. Flower shop was very entertaining. Food was excellent. We went with our 8 and 6 year old and they loved it. Your experience will definitely depend on who you get for a chef so each experience may be different. Some chefs are more outgoing than others. The food has always been a great what's the entertainment does to Panda on who is doing the cooking.

The food was excellent, and very well presented. The service was a bit on the slow side as they appeared to be understaffed. Restrooms were extremely clean. Good selection of mixed drinks, wine and beer. Would have been a perfect experience had the wait for service had been shorter

I went for an early lunch and wanted to see the show. I was told by the host that it is not offered at that time. That sucked because we planned on ordering from the dinner menu. I chose this restaurant based on its high ratings and was prepared for higher prices. However, I was disappointed with the quality of the food. Despite the menu's costliness, the dining experience fell far below expectations. To make matters worst, there was only one waiter for the whole restaurant. There was about eight tables to serve. Now let’s talk about the food. The food appears better than it taste. The soup lacked flavor and seemed watered down, while the salad did not appear fresh. My order of chicken and salmon, priced at $36, was overwhelmed with an excessive amount of teriyaki sauce, which detracted from the dish's taste. Even the vegetables seemed overcooked in was drowning in the same sauce. Overall, I feel dissatisfied with the $150 spent and would advise others to consider alternative dining options.

We always have an enjoyable experience here. Tonight, Don was our chef! He is hilarious! He interacts well and has such great conversational banter and comedic roasting techniques. We ask for him every time we go. Great flavor in the food as well! Everything stays always tastes so yummy!

Don was our chef and he was hilarious and very kind. Would certainly recommend him as the chef returning. Food was delicious and entertainment great for our birthday dinner.

Decided to stop here for lunch it the place was very upscale which I like, the chef for the hibachi was very funny and had great energy. My rating is based on the plenty other hibachi style places I have went to, the 1 negative is that you can’t spend extra money ordering lunch special sushi rolls while at the hibachi table and the bar was closed. This has never happened to me before. The food was moderately seasoned and they were generous with the white sauce.

Tried Osaka in Tallahassee for the first time recently. Overall it was nice. The seating area was very limited but going around 2 PM it wasn’t overly crowded. Service was somewhat slow but still good. Server could’ve checked on table a little more frequently but we still got everything we asked for and server was friendly. The ginger salad was very good and the shrimp & beef hibachi meals were good, but much too salty for my taste. Also they could give half the rice and twice the vegetables in my opinion. Not sure I will return a second time but it was nice to try and still decent food, service & atmosphere in general.

First visit on Mother's Day. It was easy to make the reservation over the phone and no wait for when we arrived considering the crowd. I enjoyed the food and the chef was entertaining. He burned our fried rice pretty good but it wasn't horrible. The food was great. We did the filet mignon and shrimp for 2 which was $84 before taxes. I do recommend this place.

We saw this place on the show The Foods that built America and decided to try it out. We live in FL so it was about a 3.5hr drive for us. The service, atmosphere and food was 10/10! We ordered steak and French fries. For dessert we had ice cream. My husband had mint chocolate ice cream and I had cookies and cream.

The casual arrangement of items, including Marvel toys, for sale made it a very attractive and appealing place to bring my child. It put me in mind of a library... brightly lit and spacious, yet compact. The cashier was very friendly and immediately made himself accessible if needed (ie I did not feel rushed to select an ice cream flavor but I also did not have to flag him down). Overall, a great place to relax and have a sandwich or ice cream with a close friend and family member. If you're a coffee fan, try the Java ice cream. It was awesome.

Z Bardhi's Italian Cuisine is a charming Italian restaurant located off Thomasville Rd in northeast Tallahassee. The restaurant features a beautiful outdoor patio surrounded by a garden of fresh herbs, creating a Tuscan ambiance. This family-owned establishment offers delectable dishes such as melt-in-your-mouth meatballs and crab-stuffed grouper, which are local favorites. The extensive menu includes specialty pizzas and an array of fresh seafood options.
O my is all I can say! I cannot believe this place has been here since the late 90’s and I just tried it last week! My boyfriend delivers beverages and stumbled across this hidden treasure. He knows I am picky so before reserving a restaurant for my birthday dinner with family, he went by the establishment and luckily ran into the owner. At first he didn’t know it was the owner because he was just so kind and open to answer any questions. Well, that sealed the deal and he made us reservations and I am glad that he did. Upon arriving I noticed how cute and cozy this place was (outside dining available too)… we were seated immediately and our server Whitney took GREAT care of us. She knew the menu by heart, as well as the weekend specials. Our food came out hot, fresh and better than expected. On top of that, the owner made it his business to come over to our table and thank us for dining there for the evening. If you have not tried this place and you love GOOD authentic Italian cuisine (just because some people say authentic, it’s not always good but this place was a treat)… then please give it a try and I am looking forward to returning soon myself!!

Charming restaurant with inside and a huge outdoor dining area. Relatively small menu but daily specials. Very good food and service. Started with homemade bread and a very good sun dried tomato olive oil. I tried the Shrimp Zeke, jumbo gulf-shrimp sautéed with tomatoes, mushrooms, fresh garlic, basil and white wine over angel hair pasta. Really liked it.

This has been on my list for a long time and I’m so glad we finally went. We will be returning. The online menu is just the beginning of what they offer, they have a ton of specials. I thought I knew my order before our wonderful server told us the specials. We ended up getting all 3 of the small plate/appetizer specials and the house made gnocchi (on menu) to share and my daughter had the kids pizza (huge and tasty, we will be trying more pizza!). By the way, they have a kids menu! That is very refreshing for families that want to go out for a nice dinner with their well behaved picky eaters. My daughter was so excited to go to a nice restaurant and not feel out of place. Our server (Preston I believe) was amazing and was so sweet to my very talkative daughter. They have a lovely outdoor area but it’s just too hot for me right now so we dined indoors and the ambiance was very nice. All of our food was delicious. All in all, very great first experience and we can’t wait to return. Also, my daughter wanted me to say 10/10.

The atmosphere, superb. The waiter, excellent. The food, beyond belief. I do not eat out often, but when i do, i want to be attended to, like i tend to my family when i serve them. My wife and I love this restaurant. Not our first visit. And definitely not our last. We are people watchers. We watched the interchange and social interaction of the wait staff with clients. Oh my goodness. We were so impressed. The wait staff knew the name of a sweet lady behind us and treated her like one of their own. The food is always out of this world and so fresh. We have tried differing items and we do believe this establishment to have a seasonal menu. This time we enjoyed the stuffed pepper with spicy marinara appetizer. The peppers are grown on sight. I had the roasted pepper salad and my wife had the snapper. Both dishes were superb. The wait staff is educated on the menu and can answer any questions or concerns. Thank you again. We will return soon.

*** UPDATE *** ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Z Bardhi’s Italian Restaurant, Northeast Tallahassee I brought my daughter here while she was visiting, and we left absolutely delighted. My “Shrimp Zeke” was outstanding—the pasta was perfectly al dente, swimming in a rich, flavorful sauce, and every shrimp was impressively large and fresh. My daughter ordered the gnocchi and raved that it topped any she’s had back home in Chicago—a high bar! From start to finish, the service was warm, attentive, and perfectly paced, elevating an already memorable meal to a true five-star experience. If you’re craving authentic Italian fare with impeccable hospitality, Z Bardhi’s is a must-visit. *** Original Review *** The servers here are informative and always very helpful! Blue Halo in Tallahassee is a fantastic choice for special events! We reserved a private room for a college graduation, and they comfortably accommodated our party of 24. We were so grateful they allowed us to decorate early and had the room for the entire day. The food and service were both outstanding. The shrimp and grits were a highlight, and we also loved the cinnamon roll appetizer, tuna poke, avocado toast, and steak and eggs. Highly recommend!

Well, as I am with a small party of 3. It took quite some time to be served...and I felt judged by the staff. The description of the food in the menu did not match the meals we were given..the lamb chops were horribly cut and of terrible quality. The "just the tips" appetizer were chunks of dry beef swimming in a tasteless water with a thin film of cheese. Not a dip - a soup! The shrimp appetizer was literally. 5 shrimp "shrimpin ain't easy" Thrown on some wilted rotttttttton (Gordan Ramsey voice) lettuce. The server never introduced herself to us so can't even call her by name and half the time was acting bothered by our presence. Bottom line .....for my first experience it was extremely disappointing and will definitely be my last experience here. Maybe Horizons will treat us better- They also have "rolls by request."- not offered to every single table. That's crazy. I did leave our server a tip even tho quite frankly she did nothing to make us feel welcome

Gaines Street Pies is a laid-back pizzeria that offers a variety of pizzas, sandwiches, wraps, and appetizers. Located near College Town, it may be a bit out of the way for some but is well worth the visit. The 'Smitty Pizza' with double pepperoni, mushrooms, sriracha-infused pizza sauce and garlic is highly recommended. The crust is described as perfectly airy and bubbly while the toppings are fresh and unique.
Now THIS is pizza!!! The food was absolutely delicious. We came with our hearts already set on pizza and salad, but we will definitely try other offerings in the future. The restaurant was clean, service was very pleasant, and we were informed that everything is fresh! (Fresh as in, no freezers fresh! I think Gordon Ramsay would be impressed!) The salad was crisp and delicious and served with an amazing homemade dressing (I forgot to take photos of the salad, and the pizza before I started eating it, LOL!) The pizzas were top notch! Pretty fantastic find while I was passing through Tallahassee. The place certainly has a vibe, I'll let the photos convey that better than my words. They stay open until pretty late, which is super cool. The pizzas are amazing. 10/10. Some of the best thin crust I've ever had. You just gotta allow some time for them to be prepared, which is fair enough for the quality you get. I personally recommend the Bruno if you like Pepperoni. No complaints about the service either. Everyone is super chill and nice. Can't find anything to complain about. You simply can't go wrong with this place.

I love this place. My visits have always been outside of FSU peak times, so I've never experienced the place crowded, but it reminds me a lot of the type of places I would frequent in college in Richmond, VA at VCU. The food and service is always great and the atmosphere is typical for a college hangout, which is why I had to give it 4 stars there. I'm too old to give it 5 for the vibe, but in the 90s the atmosphere would have received a top rating.

Sakura Japanese Sushi & Grill is a chic dining destination that transports you straight to Japan with its authentic cuisine and vibrant atmosphere. Known for its stunning sashimi presentations served on ice sculptures, this restaurant also delights patrons with hibachi dishes and other beloved Japanese staples. Since opening in 2008, Sakura has become a local favorite in Tallahassee, offering an unmatched sushi experience that combines traditional flavors with creative flair. The ambiance is inviting, making it perfect for gatherings with friends or special occasions.
If my taste buds could write poetry there would be a haiku here about Sakura. From the moment you walk in you know you’re in for a treat. I got the butterfly roll recommended to me since I like sashimi and I swear it was so fresh I’m convinced it swam onto the plate. The service is fantastic. Julian is charming, knows the menu better than I know my own schedule, and refilled our drinks like he had a sixth sense. I came here twice this month, once with the girlfriend, once with the wife. Both said it was the best date night ever. I credit the sweetheart roll and the sexy salmon.

My s/o really enjoyed the fresh sushi that was presented in a boat. The drinks were delicious. I ordered a hibachi chicken dinner which was good, I just didn’t care for the rice recipe. We unfortunately waiting a really long time for our food, but the service was decent. Besides that everything was nice.

Kind of disappointed today. Usually have a nice experience. I ordered Veggie Udon with Tofu. The noodles were way off their mark in texture. Very tough and gummy. By the time the waiter finally came back around to us and I told him we were not willing to wait for him to fix it. My wife was nearly done with her meal. He offered to put the noodles "back in" for a little while longer. Not sure he knew how noodles work once they're mixed with sauce and veggies. The dish overall had very few veggies to be a veggie udon. A few mushrooms, plenty of onions, a few green onions and a few carrots, and that's it, besides the tofu. Holy smokes. Way overpriced! My wife's food was ok, shrimp hibachi. Flavor was nice but the shrimp were waaaay overcooked. She ate them anyway. Our veggie tempura was delicious and so was the miso soup and ginger dressing salad. Place was spotless. Overall the server was pretty lackluster. Not sure if we'll stop by again. There's a lot of places we can still try in Tally.

Restaurant
Uptown Cafe and Catering is a beloved local spot in Tallahassee, serving the community for over 30 years. This cozy cafe is known for its delicious breakfast and all-day brunch options, featuring favorites like banana bread french toast and house-smoked salmon. The menu also includes a variety of sandwiches and salads, with healthy choices such as chutney chicken salad and Greek garden wrap. In addition to dine-in service, Uptown offers catering for events.
This is definitely my favorite brunch/breakfast place in town! 💛The omelet and banana bread French toast are both delicious, and the eggs and hash browns did their job well. It has a great family-friendly, warm vibe, and the outdoor seating is pretty chill too. The downside of the outdoor seating is that the road can be a bit noisy sometimes.

As many times as I’ve been here, this is the first time I’ve wanted to leave before the food came - and I’m upset I didn’t. Very mediocre today! Money well wasted on this trash. The food was not satisfying, hot (barely warm), and whoever in the back probably wasn’t even supposed to work today…. Cause they certainly didn’t care about the food going out. The server, granted I’m sure she was busy, but was not attentive to our table in the slightest bit. She brought our drinks (we had coffee with NO spoons, water with NO straws even after asking for them!), we needed some time, she didn’t come back for good minute. I was out of coffee and she came out with the pot a few times and didn’t bother coming to our table asking if we needed a refill like she did the other tables. The only good part of breakfast was the bacon - but it was very greasy.

Great place for home cooked breakfast and lunch. Homemade with attention to detail. Rylee our waitress took care of us, making sure we had everything we need. Loved the corned beef hash and their giant pancakes. Sounds strange but their grilled sauerkraut was great.

Wow! It’s a small disjointed place on the corner. You walk in not expecting much…oh my goodness we were so incredibly surprised! First off, the service is great! Second…the food!!! The potato salad has the potatoes scalloped and there’s either bacon or smoked paprika in it. It’s very unique but still potato salad. The texture and flavor are just out of this world! Plus, you get a great big serving! I got the Rueben and it was fresh, delicious, cooked just right…just so good! My husband got a corned beef hash and he really enjoyed it! It tastes like it was cooked over the campfire so perhaps it has liquid smoke in it? I don’t know but we both were VERY impressed! Definitely going back soon!

This place has the best banana bread French toast! Delicious crispy egg and great banana bread. I'm visiting my daughter who works at the hospital nearby. We will definitely be back when I come back to visit!

Wow! The breakfast was just the best I’ve had since being in Tallahassee. I had the homemade banana bread slightly fried best ever banana bread! Need the recipe. I tried grits for the first time, we don’t have these in the uk. Yummy. I had a piece of local sausage and hash browns!!!! I just don’t think you could be disappointed eating here! Service great! Atmosphere very friendly and welcoming!! 10/10🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

My son and I went there for a late lunch and even though we were the last patrons there we were treated as if they had all day. The food was excellent, of which I’ve posted pictures and our waitress was wonderful. I definitely recommend going here for breakfast, lunch or brunch. Any time is good and you will fall in love.

The restaurant has implemented various safety measures, including the use of disposable sanitation rags, sealed silverware packaging, and disposable menus available both in-store and online.
Food and service was 10/10. Personally loved the club sandwhich. The kids loved the cinnamon roll french toast and banana pudding pancacke.

Now, I read my fellow reviewers' experiences and knew this was the next place for me to visit. Wrong! Judging from the number of patrons, it was definitely going to be an enjoyable meal. Wrong again. I can't say that I have plans to visit again soon, but I can't. My omelet looks like a rolled up enchilada with chunks of raw vegetables in the middle. I put them to the side and ate the bland egg with my pepper jack cheese grits, where I didn't taste anything in those either. A perfect match to me bland and bland made bland. Salt and pepper didn't help. On to the next.

I recently visited Canopy Road Cafe for breakfast and was thoroughly impressed by the entire team’s efficiency. My server Kristen was very personable, and the general manager, Charlotte, who was helping in the kitchen as an expediter, showed excellent leadership by working alongside the staff during busy hours. Despite arriving during the peak Sunday morning rush, I was served promptly. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. My only minor disappointment was the lack of a cappuccino machine, but that didn’t detract from an otherwise excellent visit. I’ll definitely be returning based on what I experienced today.

We had breakfast on the patio which was fun. Got the all meat omelet and sourdough toast which I would highly recommend. And one other important thing is they have good coffee. We drank way too much of it!

The host was super helpful for seating quickly and outside as requested. Cassandra our server was super attentive, patient, and kind. Recommend for bringing family or for a quiet meal alone any day.

Their service is very friendly and amazing! You also get pretty good portions of food, but some of it will be bland, almost everything in the pictures was bland aside from the bacon and biscuits and gravy; no matter how many times you seasoned anything, it wouldn't take either. The hashbrowns were also very, VERY crunchy and hard to cut or stab through, you also get a thin layer of them. My partner also tried the sweet tea, but it didn't come sweet at all. Aside from that, the food was pretty decent, the atmosphere was nice (you have the option of dining inside or outside), and the service was amazing!

Very nice experience they are usually very busy. I would recommend going on less busy days to get the full experience without having to wait an hour. I went for lunch on a Thursday and there wasn’t a wait. I had the berry cobbler pancake and it was very good. My family had the Douglas, Salisbury steak, and the bacon ranch skillet.

Tour of Italy is a beloved spot in Tallahassee, particularly among locals in the northwest. The restaurant offers delicious Italian and pizza cuisine, with options like Stuffed Shells Trio and eggplant parmesan. Visitors recommend trying different dishes each time due to the consistently high quality of the food. While some feel that certain items like veal parmesan and spaghetti could use improvement, others praise the attentive service and reasonable prices. Overall, it's known for its fresh and excellent food offerings.
The wife and I eat out a lot. We love Italian food. This was our very first time eating here. It was awesome. Off the chain the best Italian restaurant we have eaten at in years. Our waiter name was Max brother. Awesome job! Y'all should be proud of this young man.

I was super impressed! I have been looking for some good Italian food in Tallahassee, and now my search is over! I ordered takeout and was blown away by the food when I got home. This place seriously doesn't look like much, but be ready to be surprised. The food is amazing! I had the lasagne, and it was out of this world. They brought it on this plate, and the stuff was literally nibbling when the brought it to the table. The flavors were so good, too! The bread was really good, although it was essentially dinner rolls with melted butter and parmasean cheese poured over it. Their sweet tea is also really good. I definitely recommend this place. This is one of those hidden gems you fall in love with.

Had lunch with a friend. Alfredo Fettuccine and the portion was large. Served with a side salad and rolls. Reasonably priced, and service was good too. I ailso ordered coffee, and they made a fresh batch for me. We were able to visit without being rushed to order or finish!

I love this place. It's not big, but had the atmosphere of a true Italian restaurant. TOI has the best Italian food in Tallahassee! Their lasagna is fantastic. Service is great, but I recommend reservations, without them it can be a LONG wait. Portion sizes are fair for the money, and we always have food to take home. We haven't tried take away, but it is offered here.

I came here to do an insurance inspection so technically I didn’t eat anything this time! However, the aroma and just looking at those rolls, has me hooked on coming back to eat. The kitchen was super clean and well organized. After I shared a short story with the owner, Kyle overheard my story went out of his way to come find me to tell me he would pray for me. The owner Ervin has done a great job and I can tell he has poured his heart into his restaurant. Ervin, I’m coming back and I’m bringing friends and trust me, I’ve got some awesome friends!

Canopy Road Cafe, located in Tallahassee, Florida, has been serving delicious meals since its opening in April 2007. The cafe is known for its friendly staff and great atmosphere. While the wait for food can be a bit long at times, the tasty dishes like banana nut bread pancakes and the Canopy Road special make it worth it. The breakfast burrito and home fries also come highly recommended.
Canopy Road - for a chain (albeit smaller) this never fails to impress me. Yes, some items may not be the best, but the classics like French Toast, Waffles, Pancakes, Hashbrowns, Home Fries, and MORE do not disappoint. Cute environment, good staff. Only complaints really is the wait! Imm pretty sure everybody picked up that this place was amazing…

Took our daughter to brunch and she chose this place, and we are so happy she did! There was a huge variety of foods on the menu, the process were good and the food was very, very good! She had the sweet potato pancakes. I don't even like sweet potatoes, but the pancakes were delicious! The cheeseburger salad my husband had was huge and delicious and the smash burger and seasoned fries I had were all delicious. I also had a cinnamon roll that was out of this world. A friend had the country fried steak skillet. With food and prices like that, I can see why there are 3-4 locations in Tallahassee! I would eat there 2-3 times a week if I lived closer to Tallahassee just to get to try everything on the menu!

We went to Liberty for brunch. The food was amazing. We had the soft shell crab eggs Benedict and the mushroom risotto Benedict. Both were delicious. Coffee was good. Mimosas were mostly juice and not a lot of champagne, but overall a great brunch. Would definitely recommend.

I had a wonderful experience here but I must stick with 4 Stars. Staff manager was new but did a wonderful job. I felt the waiter was new also, so I prob just need to come back when they have a little more staff. I had excellent service and the food came out as ordered and timely. I do not like paying $13 for a shot of liquor from a $55 bottle but it is what it is. I did enjoy the house special for happy hour the House Old Fashioned Bourbon is nice. I really, really enjoyed the mussels and menu set-up. I designed the chandelier they have but did not put it on paper, it’s a Blanton’s bottle Chandelier and I love it!

My husband and I had our anniversary dinner here, and loved the food & service. I had the steak frites, and loved everything about it, from the way my steak was cooked, to the saltiness of the fries, to the dressed greens salad to their homemade steak sauce. I couldn't even eat all the fries and salad, but I made sure to finish that steak! Hubby got the fish & chips, which he craves all the time but almost never actually gets to satisfy that craving, and he absolutely loved it and ate every single bite!

Not sure where to start here, but let's go here... Server, super pleasant and management accommodating. We left the parking lot because we couldn't find the restaurant, came back when we found it from across the street looking for an alternative eatery. Did wait.over 45 minutes for food (kitchen at fault for that) Wine was on point. Hubby ordered a makeshift mcrib (embarrassing lol) but he liked it. See pics. Rescue! They made my daughter a specialty drink off menu and she appreciates that as a of age, non drinker. Awaiting dessert.

Liberty is absolutely delicious! We love their seasonal drinks, and they always have a great selection of beers on tap. We love to share the loaded fries, but my favorite is the steak fries. Everything I have eaten there is amazing, and I would highly recommend. The staff is super friendly, and we love sitting at the bar to eat.

This place was unbelievable. Connor our server went above and beyond. We had the scotch egg which was one of the nicest I’ve had (and I lived in Scotland!), the chicken French toast was 14/10 and the steak and eggs were a must. The bloody Mary’s were perfectly spiced. Everything was perfect and can’t wait to go back.

Stumbled upon this restaurant and so glad we did. We were in Tallahassee for family weekend and everything was packed. We accidentally found this restaurant and it was PHENOMENAL. Best food the whole weekend. We sat on the patio. It was so relaxing and quiet. Our server was excellent. It was late and we had to order by 10pm. We ordered apps, dinner and desserts all at once. It was still brought out spaced nicely in between. 100% an exceptional experience. There were 3 of us, for apps we had scottish eggs, pork belly, and the warm potato salad. Dinner was 2 steak frites and one pan seared snapper. Dessert was the chocolate custard w/ raspberry whipped cream and blueberry almond pound cake. The steak frites came with a homemade steak sauce. Fries were perfect. It was OUTSTANDING! Every single item! I can’t rave about it enough. We will definitely be back when we come to FSU to visit. Even the water was delicious. The other restaurants we ate it I had to bring my own as it tasted terrible. This restaurant is TOP NOTCH. Wish I remembered our server’s name. He was awesome. 10/10 🙌🏼

Atmosphere was good, service was slow but all the employees were extremely nice. Started off with cocktails🍹 which was really good. Ordered food which was slow to come out. The fish was really good, the burger lacked flavor (under seasoned) and the fries were few and they were cold. the steak was cooked but the portion was small for the price and covered with to many greens and only a few fries. Overall I would go for the drinks and not the food.

Restaurant
Mayuri Indian Restaurant is a cozy and unpretentious eatery that offers a variety of traditional South Indian specialties. The restaurant features an extensive lunch buffet with classic Indian dishes and even traditional Thanksgiving options. Guests can also enjoy the regular menu for dinner. With online ordering available, Mayuri provides weekly specials and has a pleasant outdoor patio for dining. The restaurant is known for its 5-star quality food, including pakoda, chili paneer, garlic naan bread, and more.
I recently discovered a great restaurant in Tallahassee, Florida that offers a wide variety of food options. I tried their brunch and it was amazing. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. To get your food, you have to take a metal dish (called a thali) and walk through the buffet line. The food was very fresh and tasted great. I highly recommend this place, especially if you want to take your friends and family out for lunch or dinner. One thing that could be improved is the placement of the TV screens. They were mounted too high up on the wall, making it difficult to watch them comfortably. I hope the owner can adjust their placement in the future. Overall, I had a great experience and plan to visit this place again soon with my loved ones. Also, if you're wondering, all the meat used in their dishes is halal, which is great for those who only eat halal food.
Hassan T — Google review
We have always eaten here for dinner but never had their lunch buffet. I was skeptical because of recent reviews but we decided to try it anyway. The price is clearly posted when you walk in and they have a small but good selection of food. Drinks are self serve and are included with the meal including masala chai. The food was not as flavorful as when you come here for dinner but was still very good. There was more sauce than meat in the butter chicken but it still a good amount for us to get a nice portion. For reference we arrived to eat at 12:30. All in all we would recommend eating here for lunch but dinner is where they really shine with service and food.

Today I ordered special chicken biriyani, but they gave me chicken curry with plain rice! They didn’t add any ghee/butter/oil! It is not biriyani! When I called to complain a guy is saying that you need to mix the rice with chicken curry, then it will become biriyani! Really ?? Then he said, we sell biriyani like this, do whatever u can!
Armin B — Google review
I've been to this place a few times in the last few years and most of the time it was very good and reasonably priced. I went yesterday and unfortunately things have changed. The other reviews are correct in that the food doesn't have that POP it used to. Also, the non-speaking guy taking your money didn't say a word except the price which was $24- with a small tip! It used to be $15- with a drink. The food was average and when you went to get some butter chicken or the tofu version there was nothing but puree and no meat/tofu anywhere??? I'm sorry to say they will not last long this way like other places that have already artificially jacked up prices because of the current tariff issues and service has also declined. When you have a knee jerk reaction to things like this and make major changes it's not good. It's still clean but needs a lot of work to be great again. Good luck.
K H — Google review
Ordered take-out for out of town guests, who are devoted to Indian food. They reported it was the best Indian food they had ever had, including in India! Our meals were amazing, too! It was our first time, but it is now at the top of our list of where to eat.
Lynn D — Google review
There is not many food items on the buffet. The flavor was ok at best. Most of the food was room temperature. I witnessed a lady take food of her plate with her hand and put it back on the buffet. I informed the staff of what I observed. Staff watch you eat instead of inspecting the activity around the buffet. Doesn't appear to have wait staff. Staff removed the pan and took it in the back after I repeated myself. $20.00 lunch buffet is too expensive for the quality of the food.
Paris L — Google review
The food was mediocre at best. Having tried Indian cuisine across the globe, this place falls short in terms of authenticity. There were clear signs of cost-cutting in the ingredients and preparation. The chicken was tough and chewy, raising concerns about whether it was undercooked or just poor quality meat. The garlic naan was overly stretchy and chewy, and the rotis were undercooked. In terms of value, the price does not justify the quality—$20 for a 16oz curry container is excessive. Overall, I would not recommend this place.

La Tiendita Mexican Restaurant is a vibrant and cozy spot that offers classic Mexican dishes along with beer and margaritas. The restaurant's interior is adorned with traditional Mexican artwork, serapes, and other cultural artifacts, creating a charming and colorful atmosphere. It's known for its authentic tacos, natural juices made daily, and generous servings of guacamole. The owners go all out in decorating for holidays like Day of the Dead, even providing an altar for patrons to admire.
I always enjoy my meal here. Service can get backed up if they are busy, especially for takeout, but dining in is always a pleasure. Food is good and it has a cozy hole in the wall feel.

They serve up a variety of tacos, but the birria tacos stole the show—tender & juicy, yet not greasy at all. A rare find! The unassuming, hole-in-the-wall vibe just adds to the experience. The house chips and salsa was home made and addicting.
Lala C — Google review
La Tiendita left a bad taste in my mouth. So I found this place while visiting Tallahassee on business. I stopped in for dinner on a Monday after a flight in, sat outside, and was *blown away* by the food. Nothing was bad. The salsa slapped, the lengua gordita was a pocket of goodness, the tings tostada had avocado and crema with cilantro, and the Chile relleno platter cooked to perfection. Not greasy, not overly fried, cheese was gooey in the center. Sauce was great. The rice? So flavorful and delicious. Things were so good I decided to return again during my brief 4 day stay in the area. Man do I regret that decision. I returned on Wednesday for dinner after working, sat inside and got started. The server was pleasant and made suggestions and guided me through ordering. I took her suggestions and was greatly anticipating dinner. The salsa was a bit flat this time around. I don't know if it was old, or it was close to the end of the night, but it wasn't the same heavenly mana as before. When my order arrived, I was a bit surprised to see the portion sizes. The especial de la casa lengua en roja had two pieces of tongue that looked to be about 4oz total. Rice portion and beans were noticeably smaller than two days ago. The rice and lengua were not as flavorful tonight. Not a good value for $18. I had ordered a second entree, the Diablo burrito with steak to take for my lunch the next day, but was still hungry after the surprisingly light portion of tongue and so tucked into that next. Flavors were good, the spice level was just right. Portion was again a bit small for a $16 burrito, with the rice just meh and the beans a bit runny. While eating the burrito, another server came by to check on the table. This was not my server - she was bussing the table behind mine. When she asked how things were, I had a mouthful, so I nodded yes, thumbs up. I saw she had a pitcher in her hand, so I passed my water glass to her for a refill. She took it, said "oh, water?" and I nodded yes. She had a microfiber towel in the same hand as the pitcher, and when she went to fill the glass, had some problems and moved behind me to fill the glass. I heard ice rush into the glass, and she set it back down on my table. I thanked her, picked up the glass, and took a swallow. Something was bad. The refilled glass was... wrong. It tasted like an old, watered down margarita. Here's what I can put together: When the other server checked on me, she had a pitcher from another, dirty table in her hand. She used this pitcher which had (?) old margaritas from another table to fill my water glass. I got a mouthful of something from another table that I have no way of knowing if glasses or anything was emptied into the pitcher before it went into my glass when the table was being bussed. When I realized this, I took the glass to my server and let her know that something happened, and the water tasted like old watered down margaritas. She was apologetic, and got me a fresh glass of water. She also asked if I needed a box, which I did not at that point. When paying, my server again asked how things were. I replied "Well, other than getting a mouthful of an old margarita from someone else's table, it was okay. " She did apologize again. I replied "it happens." Paid, tipped, and left. I cannot express how disappointing my second trip to this establishment was. Everyone has bad days, I get it. It seemed that today was definitely the "B" team with front and back of house. The inconsistency broke my heart, truly. I had decided that with my limited time in town, I'd return to this restaurant and support your business instead of patronizing a competitor. I was looking forward to this meal, and had called others to let them know how stoked I was to be coming back to try new dishes on your menu. Having worked in industry for more than 23 years, I can with 100% certainty say I have never filled a guest's glass with trash/waste from another table. Never. This place left a bad taste in my mouth.

Small place very quaint. Server was great and attentive. The food was hit or miss. Salsa was good with a nice spicy kick. Rice was seasoned well, delicious. My plantains were burnt so sent them back. Chicken and shrimp Fajitas not bad but little dry. You had to ask for lettuce and sour cream but had to pay for spoonful of Guacamole so I declined. My Son did not like his birria beef tacos, he said lacked flavor sent it back.

My now husband and I catered La Tiendita for our wedding in Tallahassee. We had chicken and steak tacos, toppings, beans and rice, chips with salsa and queso, and churros for dessert. They were incredible! Nora made the planning process super simple and made sure to get our paperwork to us on time for our venue. Nora arrived early on our wedding day to set up with her team of staff, and took great pride in making sure everything was safe, delicious, and beautiful for our special day. We ate there many times before our wedding, and we will continue to eat there many times after! Nora always remembers us when we dine here, and she checks up on us. We love La Tiendita!

Would love to visit again this place. My favorite is the Red Thai curry with fried rice. I felt this store is somewhat better than the other two branches in the town.

I went there today ordered general tso chicken. It was horrible. Looks like they used the frozen popcorn chicken and put sauce. I will never go to this location again

Roboto has been a go-to since our college days. The food is always great - especially that Samurai sauce!! But be warned that you simply cannot reach them by phone. God forbid you need to talk to a human being, like if you leave something at the restaurant... The phone rings once and hangs up.

Not getting all items ordered. Can't reach ANYONE by phone! - 1st time FOOD was great. - 2nd time they forgot food items. - 3rd time they forgot food items AGAIN. And so I called and called and called - a total of 6 times back to see what they can do to get missing food items to me - NO ONE answered the phone! Sucky customer service & business practices. And they are only got the one star - because I couldn't leave a review without it.

So this was a spontaneous visit to Tallahassee and the original restaurant was not open. We wanted noodles and I just happened to google this place. We pulled up to an empty parking lot and no other customers inside. The employee was knowledgeable, friendly, and personable. She knew the menu and what the sauce were and even allowed me to sample one before I ordered. I had the Mahi mahi in teriyaki sauce with noodles, and my son had the veggie with noodles add chicken with two spring rolls. The atmosphere was laid back and clean. The table were clean and so was the condiment area. The seating area is plentiful and nicely decorated art on the walls. Seating is also available outside under a awning area that is well lit. The bathroom was well lit and clean with all needed items in stock. Our food came out fresh, hot, and delicious. It was so much food that we had some to take back on the 1.5 hour drive. This is our new go to spot for fresh, healthy, and delicious food in a laid back atmosphere.

I’d give negative stars if I could. This place sux! Food was just ok but they can’t get your order right and will not correct it. I won’t waste any more money there.

Always consistent...always 5 stars...every single time... usually large portions and they didn't jack their prices up to unfair amounts like a lot of places....always blasting music inside with happy employees... apparently great management...I just ordered some orange chicken and it's almost 3 servings...highly recommended...20/20 visits are great every single time

Located in Tallahassee, Florida, The Bark is a spacious and relaxed restaurant and bar adorned with vibrant murals. This premier vegetarian establishment offers a diverse menu featuring vegan cuisine and creative cocktails. Their featured items include the Banh Mi, Beet Burger, and Asian Delight Salad. The venue also serves as an event space and offers a delectable weekend brunch from 11 am to 3 pm.
Had a great lunch at The Bark. The restaurant is colorful and roomy. It was quiet when we were there but looks like the place also rocks. I appreciate seeing a pool table. Vegan food; we chose varied items, and they were all excellent.

I had one of the best vegetarian burgers ever! Was a new adventure because I had never ever eaten beets before. It was soooo good! Had the flavor of a grilled burger with even a hint of barbecue sauce, tho there was none. The bun was fresh and delicious! Opted for non-vegan cheese, but it was available. Large enough to take home half for another meal. Loved the murals, too! Will definitely return again!

Ok, so to let you all know, I check out reviews as well, I tried this restaurant today to see if it was all that I have read, and it is. Tuck away in its own corner of the world. I like it. To get away from the outside world and just enjoy good vegan food, this is your spot. Very eccentric with a laid-back atmosphere. The person taking my order recommended the roasted potato, and I'm glad he did. They were delicious. And the sandwich, although I ruined the beautiful of it, was just as delicious. I shall return.😋😍😁

Love love love the food!! The vegan/ veggie version their f my favorites are better than the originals!! Between karaoke or metal bands the entertainment can be a bit much for dinner but the food is great!!

This is a vegan restaurant. We didn't know/see/read that about this place before deciding to go. It has a lot of atmosphere. The food was ok but just not my thing. They seem to be very social responsibility type restaurant. Check it out it unique. A trendy vibe.

One of my favorite Bahn Mi's in town - and the veggie burger is delicious as well. I enjoy their rotating specials and desserts, but it's hard to pass up on the go-to bahn mi. The food coming out of The Bark's kitchen rivals some of Tally's most hyped "fancy" spots. I'd choose this over some of those spots any day!

We were in the area and were excited to try a new vegetarian spot. The atmosphere was great and the staff was friendly. We knew the food was scratch made so the wait wasn’t expected. We ordered the Oyster Mushroom Po’Boy and the Hot Honey Chikin sandwich. The side dish of potatoes was addictive and the house ginger lemonade was on point. Everything else just didn’t meet expectations. The chicken was hard and the po’boy was really salty. Maybe they had a bad day in the kitchen because most of the other reviews were positive. I’ll give them another try when next in the area but this first visit wasn’t it.

The loaded vegan mac and cheese was sooo good! I added The best tempeh I’ve ever had. My husband’s pesto tempeh sandwich wasn’t the greatest, kinda dry. Small parking lot, no street parking. I can’t comment on bathrooms or atmosphere because I didn’t go inside, but my husband said it was kinda dingy- like a hippie bar (which sounds cool to me). It’s junk food, but it was worth stopping at as we drive through the area.

Café de Martín is a charming Peruvian restaurant known for serving classic dishes like Papas en salsa Huancaina, Aji de Gallina, and Pastel de Choclo. The authentic coffee drinks and excellent desserts are also popular among locals. The restaurant offers a lovely atmosphere with a patio that extends from the front to the side of the building, creating a South American ambiance. Happy hour from 4pm to 6pm features delicious drinks like mezcal-based concoctions.
The atmosphere and food were absolutely amazing here! Everything felt so flavorful and vibrant and the outdoor area was so beautifully curated. I liked how the QR menu had pictures of all the food. Xiomara was such a nice server and even packed up our food for us. Will definitely be coming back here again and bringing others with us!
Gracelin — Google review
Shopping in the area and decided to try something new. Peruvian sounds good, and overall there were some good flavors and some falling flat. Salt goes a long way…. The service and atmosphere was something to be desired and food handling is to be desired. Upon walking in you are greeted with cooked rice in open sitting on a sheet pan as people walk by it with in reach of all. This rice sat there for nearly 40 minutes as the cook was sucking down his drink as he stood over the prep area and wiped his face with a rag and then wiped down a surface area and then grabbed his pan with it. The place was freezing as everyone in the building as talking about how the shivered while eating. The jalea marina was flavorful and had nice sauce accompaniment. The aji de gallina needed some help. I understand this is a Peruvian classic and would have benefited from some salt to bring out more of the flavors. This comes with Jasmin rice which I am not much of a fan of, but when mixed does fade the rice flavor. Service was horrible. We was seated with dirty white paper menus while what was eventually our waitress who was standing at the front talking with her friends drinking her beverage and eventually greeting us with water. Then took forever to take our order. Not sure that this was worth $70 for our lunch.

I was really craving ceviche, so I decided to try this restaurant. The food was good. The portion of the Peruvian paella was huge—probably enough for two—but it was mostly just rice, and the flavor was not impressive. I'm not sure if it’s worth the price. The lemonade tasted artificial, with those prices, it should be natural. (3 stars) The service was regular. (3 stars) The place has a beautiful patio perfect for nice pictures. That's the only thing I do give 5 stars.

This restaurant is extraordinary. They are serving classic Peruvian dishes with the highest quality ingredients. I had the Sebiche Classico and from the fish to the sweet potato, the quality of the food is evident in each flavorful bite. Of course I also had a delicious, perfectly proportioned pisco sour all while situated in the most beautiful patio garden. Our server Valentina ensured our experience was exquisite. Café de Martin will be our new staple for dining in Tallahassee.

Reviewing as someone from Miami who's eaten lomo saltado their entire life. Place is cool very nice Friday dinner vibes. However the food itself is a little lackluster. For Tallahassee it's fine. Will say the Calamari was bland and the lomo saltado is disappointing for $27/28 (7 chunks of meat and checkers like fries). Again nice place but eh food

Cafe de Martin in Tallahassee is a true gem for Peruvian food enthusiasts. The restaurant boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere, with beautiful decor that brings a touch of Lima to the heart of Tallahassee. The menu is full of authentic dishes, including classic ceviche and the comforting ají de gallina. Every dish is expertly prepared, with bold flavors and generous portions. My personal favorite was the lomo saltado - succulent strips of sirloin steak stir-fried with fresh vegetables and served alongside crispy fries. The service is exceptional, with friendly and knowledgeable staff who are passionate about Peruvian cuisine. Cafe de Martin is a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic taste of Peru in Tallahassee. I highly recommend this restaurant to all food lovers! New Visit At Lunch Time ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem in Tallahassee – Café de Martin is a Must-Visit! My son and I recently had the pleasure of discovering Café de Martin, a fantastic Peruvian restaurant tucked away behind Carrabba’s and next to Esposito’s Nursery on Capital Circle NE. What a treat! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the incredibly polite staff. Our server, Christian, was the consummate professional—attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel right at home. We each ordered a sandwich—my son chose the Gary Sandwich (chicken salad with celery, pecans, and lettuce), and I had the Osado Sandwich, a Peruvian-style beef sandwich with mustard and red onion creole sauce. Both came with regular fries, which were absolutely incredible—light, crispy, and full of flavor. The sandwiches were equally outstanding. Every bite was fresh and perfectly seasoned. This was a perfect lunch—delicious food, top-tier service, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. We will absolutely be returning and recommending Café de Martin to all our friends!

I absolutely love Cafe de Martin, the Peruvian restaurant; it’s truly a gem in Tallahassee! The food is consistently amazing, and you can taste the care and pride that Chef Martín puts into every dish. I’ve tried just about everything on the menu, and each plate has been a delicious experience. What makes this place even more special is the people. The owners, waitresses, kitchen staff, and managers don’t just serve you; they welcome you like family while maintaining the highest level of professionalism. Today was extra special for us: Martín himself baked a cake for our family’s celebration, which was simply delightful. I’m so grateful to have this restaurant in Tally. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out on one of the most authentic and heartwarming dining experiences around!

AMAZING PLACE! Genuinely such a good vibe & welcoming atmosphere. Came here with my friend to do school & study. Will definitely be coming back! Reagan was awesome! Such a kind person :) & the manager, Jose, came to check on us which was so nice. Love this place! 100% recommend.

I used to love coming here but I have noticed a decline in the food quality my last two visits. Unfortunately my most recent visit (7/12, I ordered the breakfast wrap) resulted in me getting food poisoning. I do want to say that this is not a reflection on the staff members who have consistently been kind, communicative and respectful. These things just happen at times and I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else.

Visited today for the first time and was immediately impressed with the vibes. All the greenery gave the place a fresh look/feel. I ordered the Sausage, egg + cheese everything bagel sandwich. So good! The young lady behind the counter was very nice + even offered us free samples of their new overnight oats! Very nice place for aspiring content creators as it is verrry aesthetic. Will definitely be going back!

Fresh, authentic, & savory! Got the buffalo flat bread and cesar salad wrap. So savory and good! Pineapple smoothie was so refreshing in this Florida heat. We tried a variety of the overnight oats - pineapple coconut, strawberry banana, and raspberry peanut butter were our winners! Such an healthier option if your searching for a sweet treat. The atmosphere is very calming. Nice quiet vibe. Staff was so nice and accommodating!

I had such a great experience at Power Plant! The tuna sandwich was absolutely delicious, gluten free, super fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. I also tried the BBQ chicken flatbread, and wow… it was next level. The sauce, the texture, the flavors, everything just worked. I really appreciate that they offer both vegan and gluten-free options too. It’s not always easy to find a spot that’s this inclusive and this tasty. Big shoutout to Brandon for being so kind and helpful, he made the experience even better. Highly recommend checking this place out!

I had the most amazing experience at Power Plant Café in Tallahassee! Despite the rainy day, the atmosphere inside was so cozy and inviting. I enjoyed a perfect matcha latte made with real matcha, absolutely delicious! I also had the pleasure of meeting Christian and José, the friendly managers, who were incredibly welcoming. The café itself is adorable, filled with beautiful plants and playing great music that adds to the laid-back vibe. It’s the perfect spot to relax on a weekend, whether you’re alone or with friends. Nestled in the heart of Tallahassee, DEEP Brewing Company has carved out a niche for itself since its inception in August 2016. Founded by local Ryan LaPete, this brewery is dedicated to exploring the vast spectrum of beer flavors and aromas. DEEP Brewing Company offers an impressive selection that spans classic styles like stouts and IPAs, alongside innovative brews that push the boundaries of traditional brewing.
My favorite of several good (Lake Tribe, Ology) to great breweries (Amicus, Oyster City, Proof) in Tally! Everything that we tried (brews and hard seltzers) was delicious, but I especially liked the Hef and the Hazy IPA. Nice indoor space, a large outside (mostly covered) porch (usually with a food truck), cool deep sea inspired merch, and awesome people. An absolute must-stop on your Tally brew-hop!

I recently visited the DEEP Brewery at 2524 Cathay Ct, in Tallahassee, FL. I had a nice time and experience my first time visiting this brewery. Octopus was delicious but just and arm! Come on, fine dining in a brewing bar. Okay. Their new place is pretty big and cool. The chairs have some design problem. 7 different people’s chairs fell to the ground within 10 minutes. Spoons and forks’ design is also problematic. Everybody’s spoon and fork in our table fell to inside of the plate or the table by sliding. Also, I ask for water and one of the waitresses told me there is a fountain and you need to get it every time!!! I was sitting with my 6-month old baby and having a dinner, she told me go get it by yourself!!!! I asked the another server and she brought me a glass of water! It was not that hard, thanks her. So, good place, very crowded, load music, great outdoor sitting areas, bad service, wrong industrial designs but it is okay. Oh! I forgot to say! They do not have table number. Maybe 10 times, The waiters kept bringing us other tables' food. Hope this reviews helps the company to improve themselves.

I did some research on the best breweries in Tallahassee and DEEP was consistently in the top three, so I decided to check it out during my travels. Needless to say, I was not disappointed in the product at all. The beer is excellent! You know a place located in a business park that all the locals rave about is gonna be great because they’re surviving on the product and not location. Definitely worth checking out! (Note: I took a pic of each beer after taking a sip. Minor mishap on my part)

Beer - is fantastic as always. Food - had the Carmine which was delicious and well thought out in ingredients and presentation. Atmosphere - the new location is awesome. Inside can get a little loud, but the outside seating is great. Parking - when it’s busy, parking can be a small pain point, but not too bad.

Visited DEEP Brewing Company for first time today. Have seen quite a few race about the cuban and even saw they bring in authentic cuban bread from Tampa. So, I obviously had to order the cuban "tampa" style. While I will say that it was a great sandwich...a "half" cuban for $18 is absolutely ridiculous. I repeat...a "half" a sandwich?!. I can get a whole cuban in South Beach for half that. Having lived in Tampa for 30 yrs and had more Cubans than I can count...that is insane you charge that much. Total bummer to what would have been a great lunch. 😟☹️

Great service and atmosphere, but the quality of the food is lacking. The food tasted cheap and lacked flavor. My husband had the bao fried chicken tacos. The meat looked like a frozen chicken patty. Very nice decor and it was a very warm welcoming feel. Overall, i wouldn't go back.
Lashonda B — Google review
This was my second time coming here, and honestly it was pretty underwhelming compared to my first visit. The biggest issue was the pacing. Our entrées actually came out before some of the appetizers, and nothing was cleared away as we ate, so the table just got cluttered with plates. It felt like everything was made at once and brought out together, which really messed up the flow of dinner. Nobody wants to rush through a pile of food at the same time. We also asked for one of the dishes to be made spicier, but that request wasn’t really accommodated. Not a huge deal by itself, but it added to the feeling that expectations weren’t being met. Even small touches, like the candy at the front that I noticed on my last visit, weren’t there this time. On the plus side, our server did know the menu really well and could answer all our questions. That was appreciated. Overall though, this visit missed the mark. A little more attention to timing and detail would have made the experience much better.

I was in town visiting and I was craving some Asian food. This place come up in a couple of different searches. The prices were on the higher end so I waited. Then on other night the craving had to be feed so I pulled the trigger. Let me start with a correction it is not expensive!!! it is a great value. Between the rice and meat I am not embarrassed to say I couldn't finish it. It was outstanding though and I ate until my stomach said No more. I order General Tso which is my favorite. Regrettable, I can't seem to find anywhere that makes this one good. Most places have a flavorless sauce and chicken that is all breading and no chicken. This was definitely not the case where. I normally put a lot of soy and hot sauce to flavor up the other guys. Totally unnecessary here has the sauce was excellent by itself. General Tso is supposed to have a little heat and this one delivered perfectly. I was traveling so I couldn't take the leftovers which was sad because it was Soooo Good!!! I wish they had this close to me, as I would be a regular. I definitely plan to get back there. I hope they do tons of business and keep up their high standards.

It was our first visit but definitely not our last! We had two people in our party with food allergies (gluten and peanut.) Our server advised us what dishes could be prepared without gluten and peanuts. My husband ordered fried rice made with gf soy sauce and my son got the Ramen without peanut butter in the broth. The bao was peanut free but came with a sauce that did have peanuts. My daughter had strawberry milk boba and dim sum dumplings. We ordered the fried bao as well. Red Elephant Pizza & Grill is a vibrant and family-friendly restaurant in Tallahassee, Florida. It offers a diverse menu featuring grilled American entrees, pizza, burgers, and wings. The establishment aims to provide not only great food but also a space for people to relax and reconnect. With an outdoor seating area hosting live music on select nights and a separate game room inside, it caters to various preferences. While some delays were experienced due to late staff arrivals, the service was efficient once underway.
Red Elephant has always been one of my unique and favorite places to eat for about 10 years. I live in Panama City and ever since we lost our local Red Elephant there we make it a habit to go to this Tallahassee location every time we visit family. The pizza is just fantastic. The pepperoni is the best I've ever had on a pizza, the sauce is not too sweet and just right, and the crust/bread is definitely an acquired taste but given the chance it will become one of your favorites too! My wife loves spinach and artichoke dip but says this one is more "thick" than she prefers. The loaded fries are great, fries remind me of the new KFC fries with the crispy outside and soft inside. All in all, if you haven't tried it, it's worth seeing if it's going to become a new favorite for you and your family. To the owner... please consider reopening a Panama City Location! We miss you there!

Red Elephant has good food, great service and reasonable prices. However, the property itself is in desperate need of maintenance and repair. It starts in the parking lot, (which I know is the owner’s responsibility), where you have to dodge at least 6-7 BIG and deep potholes before you can park, the kind of potholes that can damage your car! The restaurant itself is shabby, torn seating, (some rips covered with tape), desperately in need of fresh paint and new carpet and bathrooms in shambles. Dispensers are broken and falling off the walls, and TP is found in only one stall. The bathroom is far from clean. The lack of maintenance is visible throughout the restaurant. There is a mounted TV which appears to be broken (for years). If it’s broken, replace it or remove it!! I’m sorry to give such a poor review, but people don’t like to eat in such a mess! PLEASE take care of this or RE will be out of business!

Our first time here looking for a good NY style pizza but not to be. Great restaurant, very nice and friendly server but not so good pizza. We ordered a medium cheese and 2 drinks but when they brought the small bread size plates we had our doubts. The pizza was small, cut into tiny squares and no crust. The sauce was very spicy and a lack of cheese. This is not for us so we will not be back.

Definitely a spot I’d return to next time I’m in Tallahassee!

My husband surprised me with a special birthday dinner at the Huntsman. Let me tell you it was definitely an experience. The menu was very unique and not something you can find at any other restaurant I have been to. We started with an old fashioned and they were perfect!!!!! I am not one who likes to venture out of my normal so stuck with the filet and was delicious! All the dishes looked like artwork. All the servers were so attentive and friendly. Can’t wait to go back!

The Culinary Plot Twist I Didn’t See Coming The Huntsman didn’t serve me dinner — they served me a flavor intervention. Started with an old fashioned that made me question every watered-down cocktail I’ve ever tolerated. Then came the bread service, which… let’s just say if carbs are a sin, I’m going to hell smiling. And the wild game lasagna? Bechamel. Basil. Lemon whipped ricotta. Pomodoro. Caponata. A5 wagyu garlic bread. At this point I had to check if Gordon Ramsay was hiding in the kitchen whispering affirmations to my plate. Every bite was like a rich uncle flew in from Italy, shot a deer, and layered it in culinary gold. To top it all off, the service was just as impressive — attentive, friendly, and somehow always one step ahead without being overbearing. The kind of hospitality that makes you feel like you’ve been coming there for years. 10/10 would cancel plans just to eat here again. Possibly the best decision I’ve made all year.

Shout out to our server, Kumi, and the great chefs that prepared our food! Our visit was a few months ago, but it’s easy to remember how great the service and food was. Best meat loaf I’ve had that I can remember, and hopefully it will be on the menu for our next visit!

Elevated Fine Dining at The Huntsman – A Culinary Celebration Worth Remembering We recently celebrated our daughter’s graduation from Florida State University (FSU) at The Huntsman Restaurant and Bar, and the entire experience was nothing short of extraordinary. If you’re searching for the best fine dining restaurant in Tallahassee, Florida for a celebration, anniversary, or just an elevated night out—this is it. From the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere radiated class and comfort. The elegant bar setup instantly caught my eye, signaling that this is a place where handcrafted Old Fashioneds and curated cocktails are serious business. My Whistle Pig Old Fashioned was smooth, perfectly balanced, and honestly one of the best I’ve had. Andrew, our server, was exceptional—warm, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. His recommendation of the Rabbit Makhani from the main course menu stole the show. With its savory Indian curry, cardamom basmati rice, and garlic naan, it was so incredible I paused mid-bite on my 16oz Prime Split Bone-In Ribeye—which speaks volumes! Our table shared a variety of stunning starters: the A5 Wagyu Pierogies with hazelnut pesto and beet butter, the crispy eggplant with mascarpone mousse and pearl onion agrodolce, and a generously portioned charcuterie board that hit every note from salty to sweet. Dining in one of their private rooms made our celebration feel intimate and personalized. Even the valet team added to the experience by walking each of us to our vehicle with umbrellas during a light rain—pure hospitality at its finest. To top it off, we were gifted a bottle of WhistlePig 10-Year Single Barrel, exclusively bottled for The Huntsman. That thoughtful touch sealed the night as one of our most cherished family memories. Menu Highlights for Food Lovers: • Signature mains like Wood Fired Ribeye & Lobster, Guajillo Grilled South Texas Antelope, and Wild Game Lasagna • Creative preparations including Boar Bacon Wedge Salad, Fire Roasted Oysters, and Charred Octopus • A5 wagyu, elk filet, bison ribeye, and Faroe Islands salmon • Signature cocktails like The Huntsman, Black Gold, and Cafe Con Lechon • Top wine selection from Napa Valley, Paso Robles, Burgundy, and Mendoza • Vegetarian and gluten-free friendly with options like the Cauliflower Jagerschnitzel and Braised Jamaican Trumpet Mushrooms If you’re looking for a high-end dining experience with a wild twist, expertly crafted food, flawless service, and unforgettable ambiance—The Huntsman delivers. Treat your server like family, and they’ll treat you even better. We can’t wait to return. Hats off to Chef Skylar Stafford, Andrew and the whole team!

Munchies Pizza, located at 695 West Virginia St. in Tallahassee, Florida, seems to have won over many customers with its delicious pizza and subs. One reviewer even claims it's the best pizza they've ever had. While the pizza receives high praise, other menu items like salads and wings are considered average by comparison. Despite some minor delays for pick-up orders, the food is said to be fresh and worth the wait.
TRY THE DEEP DISH matter of fact try everything! this place doesn’t miss! like at all. value to dollar ratio is massive Monday 1.50 slices are always a treat and if I miss out on it they still have 2 slices and a drink for $6 best pizza place in town!

Ordered off doordash first. My deep dish pizza arrived with the sauce shifted mostly to one side. The dough was raw and thin. I called Munchies and they kindly offered to send me another deep dish pizza. It arrived and is still raw, with stringy/chewy dough, and does not contain sausage, which is what I ordered the first time. I've had their deep dish before, and it was good. I'm not sure what happened.

Pizza was good, we got a 16inch pie - it was a little too cheesy for me but my girlfriend loved it. Pizza tasted good and looked good. We also got Cajun fries 🍟 - those, were awesome 😎 I noticed they had arcade games which was cool. Felt a little empty - just couple of slices on display and nothing in the other display so maybe they got sold out? Idk. I would def go again and try some of the other types of pizza - so far, I think This place is Crispy Kartel Certified 🫡

Definitely one of the best places for NY style and deep dish pizza in Tally (IMO). I often come around lunch since this place is always busy at night. I got to speak with the owner on many occasions behind the counter. Always serving up pizza with a smile and a warm greeting. Every time I come it’s an amazing experience all around. Great atmosphere with even greater pies.

Staff were super friendly. I got my deep dish pizza with bacon really quick and it was delicious! I can normally eat a lot but I had leftovers even with the smallest size. Really good value for money.

I went to the counter to order a deep dish pizza, and the lady at the cash register has no idea what I'm talking about. She says they don't do deep dish. So I order something else. Then later, I ask one of the pizza guys at the back if they still do deep dish, and he says they do. Please make sure all your employees know the items that you offer 😑

Fantastic pizza, the kind so greasy that it can slide off the dough, absolutely delicious, the people there were very kind, and the atmosphere? Where its just a nice chill place to be? All around a 10/10 in my books

Tried the deep dish stuffed crust and only needed one slice lol. Personally the sauce was a lot and a little sweet for me but it was good and the cheesy garlic knots were really good. Definitely will come back and try other items.
