The menu boasts a fantastic array of authentic New Orleans cuisine, and I was thrilled to find classic dishes that sing with soul and spice. The sampler has jambalaya which was a hearty delight, the etouffe with rice and beans were rich and flavorful, and shrimp and grits was also delicious. As if the meal couldn’t get any better, we saved room for dessert, and I’m so glad we did! The homemade bread pudding with bourbon and caramel sauce is unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. It’s warm, decadent, and drizzled with a luscious bourbon-infused sauce that adds the perfect touch of indulgence. Each bite is a comforting farewell to a meal that was already beyond exceptional. The service at Felix was equally impressive. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, providing recommendations that only enhanced our dining experience. The friendly atmosphere made us feel right at home. This place is a culinary treasure that delivers on every front. We cannot wait to return for another round of those chargrilled oysters and that heavenly bread pudding! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

After coming in late to New Orleans I was able to secure a late night reservation for me and my cousin for dinner. I had heard so much about the chargrilled oysters I was really excited about them. The restaurant is busy and moving with plenty of staff delivering food to tables. However with our experience it took quite a while for the food to come to my table. I ordered a dozen of the charred oysters. They do take a bit of time to prepare and I was okay with that. However mine came out and my table to the right of me came out piping hot. My oysters were warm and had looked like they had been sitting and it was only a half a dozen. I brought it up to the server and she said they had not been sitting. But the lack of bubbles would say something different my cousin ordered a Caesar salad that took quite a bit of time to come out. When the salad came out all of the lettuce was wilted. She then ordered a fish taco with the toppings on the side. They did not come out the way she ordered. The mahi-mahi was topped with everything and nothing was on the side. I ordered fried pickles which came out on another bed of wilted lettuce. Overall I was highly unhappy with my service. Hopefully this is something that could be attributed to the lateness of the night but this restaurant came highly recommended and I don't see that the recommendation fits the service and food quality that I received tonight

My sister and I had the best food! We got the char grilled oysters, crawfish étouffée, and brussel sprouts. Everything was delicious! Our server Marcelle was amazing. The restaurant is right off bourbon street! There was even a guy at the bar making us feel uncomfortable so Marcelle offered to and escorted us out. The manager Kenny gave us two free drinks to-go! They were both so kind and the food was amazing! Can’t recommend Felix’s enough! 10/10!!

I am so happy that we happened onto this place! The food was superb 👌 😋 from the crab dip ( full of crab) to the oysters, shrimp, fish, asparagus and then to top it off the amazing bread pudding dessert. All perfectly cooked and seasoned. Wow! Great food, fun atmoshere and Heaven was an excellent server. When in New Orleans, definitely eat at Felix Seafood. My 1/2 poBoy was perfect, the jambalaya is so tasty and my partner had oysters on half shell, he said it was perfect too! This is on my list of go-to food places.

We enjoyed Felix’s so much that we went twice in one weekend! I think I would have rated the food higher, but I got the same dish and the second time around wasn’t the same - still good but inconsistent. What I think we enjoyed most was our server Al. He was so kind, knowledgeable and took great care of us. We enjoyed chatting with him about the history of the restaurant and New Orleans. If we’re ever back on Bourbon St we’ll definitely stop at Felix’s!

The food was mediocre I ordered an oyster po boy which was $27 dollars which would be no problem if there were more than 7 small oysters on the whole sandwich. They also sat us the the bar adjacent to a serving station which when the servers came up they were bumping into my wife. I said something but they acted like I was the problem. On the bright side the fresh oysters were good but its hard to mess those up.

It's one of the city's famous oyster bars with a casual and relaxed atmosphere that fits right in with the flavor of Bourbon Street. The restaurant also features an eclectic menu with gourmet pizza and signature dishes like Famous Shrimp Arnaud and red beans and rice.
There is a line during high hours, so come early. Grilled charbroiled oysters were definitely 6 out of 5 stars :D. Red bean and rice and the jambalaya were 4/5. They are good, but a bit salty. The crocodile fries was also 4/5. It’s like chicken but a bit tougher. The fried crab cake with a bed of corn was a no for me !! I don’t like mustard and it has a very strong mustard taste.

It’s a divey type of place in the best way possible. The service was impeccable, we were treated like family and nothing was left for want. The food is top notch. We loved the fried crawfish po boy and their roast beef is utterly delicious. We ordered hush puppies and they were probably the best we’d had in Louisiana. Visited Acme Oyster House during my trip to New Orleans and it did not disappoint. From the moment we stepped in, the vibe was lively and authentic — buzzing with local energy in the heart of the French Quarter. What stood out: The char-grilled oysters were outstanding — rich garlic-butter flavour with a hint of Parmesan, and perfectly cooked. The raw oysters on the half-shell were fresh, briny and served with knowledgeable shuckers visible behind the bar (a fun part of the experience). Beyond oysters, the seafood specialities (jambalaya, étouffée, po-boys) were generous and well-prepared — good for sharing. Service was friendly and fast, despite a busy dining room. We had a queue to get in (worth it!) but once seated things moved smoothly. Atmosphere: casual, lively, full of character — exactly what I hoped for in New Orleans. Things to note: It’s busy — expect a wait during peak hours. While the food is excellent, some items can be a bit pricey (especially oysters at market price) so keep an eye on the menu. If you’re not an oyster fan, no worries — there are plenty of other solid options. Overall: Highly recommended if you’re looking for a fun, full-flavour New Orleans seafood experience. I’ll definitely go back on my next visit.

Very good oysters, although I will say that they basically just taste like pizza. I tasted zero oyster. And that is the best I'm not a huge fan of oysters but still. But still they tasted amazing... I first came here back in 2019 after seeing a line going all the way down the street. I figured it had to be good, so I jumped in line — and wow, I’m glad I did! The chargrilled oysters were absolutely amazing and totally worth the wait. Fast forward to 2025 for my birthday trip, and of course I had to go back. Those oysters were just as good as I remembered — so good that I ended up eating here three times during my short stay. The food and vibes are still top-notch after all these years. If you go, definitely get the oysters!

We came here around 3PM on a holiday weekend and there was still a line! We waited for around 25 minutes. Got the charbroiled oysters, soft shell crab plate and jambalaya. The fries are good. The oysters are very buttery and tasty but a little too salty in my opinion. Bread is not good but good to dip with the extra butter. Service is just okay. Waiter wasn’t very descriptive when we asked about the menu. Didn’t clear the stacked plates on our table. We added an extra order of oysters and he just assumed we wanted 6 instead of 12 but we didn’t want to wait any longer for our food.

Turns out I'm not a big fan of barbecued oysters but the regular oysters were decent. The class of the match was the red beans and rice and the jambalaya. The etouffee and the gumbo were both solid. What really made this great occasion was our server, Michael S., who set us up the right way with the best deals and who is very friendly and incredibly attentive in a touristy area where the waiters are sometimes just a few steps above grifters, which I appreciate in the old New Orleans way to some degree without enjoying it, Michael is a true gent and an extraordinary mesero.

Located right in the heart of downtown New Orleans, Drago’s Seafood Restaurant was the perfect stop for Night 2 after a long day of sightseeing, walking, and shopping. Of course, we came for their famous charbroiled oysters, and they absolutely lived up to the hype—rich, smoky, buttery, and unforgettable! The service and atmosphere were equally impressive—warm, welcoming, and relaxed. For a party of 8, the wait was about 30 minutes, which we found totally reasonable given how busy they were. Once seated, our food came out quickly and piping hot. We ordered a variety of dishes, and every single bite was amazing. If you’re in NOLA and craving incredible seafood with great service in a lively setting, Drago’s should definitely be on your list!

Yo… My girl has been going on and on about this place ever since she came here a year ago with her mom so naturally we came on our first day down here. There has not been a culinary experience I’ve experienced that has consistently impressed me quite like this one. We started with the famous char-broiled oysters and the hurricane drink… absolutely spectacular. Just when I thought it couldn’t get better, the BBQ shrimp shows up. The BOMB of flavor that we experienced was OTHERWORLDLY. Then the BREAD PUDDING? Yo… the bread pudding. 😍🤤 nuff said. Best believe we will be back. This is the first restaurant I’m trying here and certainly not the last. The precedent that’s been set has me excited to try what else New Orleans has to offer!

Great Experience at Drago’s in New Orleans Stopped in at Drago’s while in town for the GSX trade show — the place was absolutely packed, but the energy was great. I grabbed a seat at the bar and was impressed by how fast and friendly the service was, even with the crowd. Our initial evening in New Orleans was truly delightful, and the chargrilled oysters certainly met our expectations. There was ample bread provided to thoroughly enjoy the rich, buttery sauce. Superior Seafood has been a long time favorite of mine. I went with my boyfriend for his birthday recently, and we were so excited, but we weren’t overly impressed. Our server was inattentive and absent most of the night. I’m not sure if they had tables elsewhere or a large party. I made a reservation for 2 and specified it was a birthday celebration. We didn’t order dessert, so maybe that’s why nothing about a birthday was mentioned. The food was great though as always! The fresh bread is always a plus. The mains came with a side salad. We also ordered a half dozen oysters. The oysters were great too! For the price point, I will be going somewhere else in the future.

We had a very large group with reservations (30+) and we were sat in the outdoor/indoor patio. The service was great and the food was delicious, fresh and clean. The only problem was it smelled like gas most of the time in one section. They weren’t sure if it was from the heater or the gas lamps outside. But it really detracted from our experience. When I am in the area I will visit again because the food was delicious.

Parking is right off the street or somewhere in the neighborhood if you're lucky. We were seated pretty quickly and our server for the night was attentive and made a really good reccomendation. The food was top notch so the reputation for this place seems well earned. The oysters were fresh and served perfectly. The gumbo had a smoky/nutty taste so maybe the roux may have been slightly burned,but it worked. The fish was fresh as well as the crab toppings. They have a great selection of mixed drinks and wine. Ask the server for the whiskey list and if they have any allocated items in house. This place really has a very old school vibe to it,but it was still a laid back casual enviorment. There is a streetcar stop across the street and a city bus stop right at the entrance so those are also options.

Great food and great service! We heard about Mr Ed's from a friend and it was a great experience. We tried the char broiled oysters, fish po boy, jambalaya pasta. All were delicious! The oyster came with awesome bread dressed in garlic which you can dip in the oyster oils. Yum! This is the place to go if you're looking for that combination of dive bar, seafood spot with some of the best crawfish in town in my opinion. We ate here later on in the evening since we got in town a bit later than planned, after we arrived in town and wanted to walk around looking for a spot we decided this was the spot. The drinks were awesome and fair priced, the oysters were fresh and delicious, the crawfish were seasoned to perfection, so good I ordered more since I was in the mood to keep drinking. This is the spot if you are staying anywhere close to get your belly full of delicious food.

My stuffed redfish was good, but a touch overcooked so I can't really give it 5 stars. Came with a serving of jambalaya and veggies... Almost all zucchini and yellow squash. This was my first time trying alligator, as they have gator bites here. I didn’t know what to expect… and my expectations were SHATTERED. They weren’t just tasty… they were divine. Then we had fried catfish w/fries and redfish w/jambalaya… absolute flavor bombs. Just perfect. We’re 3 for 3 for restaurants we’ve tried in New Orleans so far. This was by far my favorite spot to eat while visiting New Orleans. They were able to get our large party in immediately. The speakeasy vibe was awesome and they had a great cocktail/food menu. Our server, Adam was extremely entertaining and very knowledgeable of everything on the menu. The oysters were out of this world & the lobster roll was great. 10/10

Boquerones. Get the Boquerones. They’re crunchy, savory, then the acidity hits you and the green goddess dressing is light and bright. This is the work of a gifted chef. They also have very good oysters and cocktails. The interior ambiance is like a fancy submarine lounge. This place hits all the notes, but I think it matters what you order, and also the pace. Have an experience. I also hate to detract from the seafood here but the burger is also noticeably better than most of what NOLA offers in this department.

Just an outstanding experience all around. I was lucky enough to arrive in the nick of time to secure a dozen mixed oysters at happy hour prices (1/2 price!). All delicious. I also ordered the Seaworthy Roll which is comprised of boiled crawfish, chow chow and crawfish boil aioli on a toasted potato roll (much like a lobster roll). Absolute winner! The space within the restaurant has an interesting weathered quality with fireplaces and roughly whitewashed & cracked walls. A warm inviting place as though dining in someone’s home. Visited NO for the first time and this little spot became a favorite of mine very quickly. We stopped by to try the charbroiled oysters that we’ve heard so much about, and we were surprised to see they had 1/2 oyster special where we were able to get 6 random and 6 reef candy oysters for $17 a phenomenal deal. This restaurant also rewards Mastercard holders by rewarding them with a $10 coupon every time you spend $10 or more which is another amazing deal that adds up very quickly. We were so impressed that we even came back the next day to participate in trivia and we ended up taking 1st place and we won $50 free drink tab from the bar. Anytime I’m in NO I will be coming back!

We went to Sidecar for Brunch and the outside patio is really nice! Should you want to sit on the patio, ask to sit in the direction of one of the fans, otherwise it’ll be unbearably hot. The food was fine. It wasn’t life changing but I feel for the price point. They do have a selection of oysters from different waters around the country, but be ready with your wallet, they’re pricey. They were priced high enough that the people at our table who originally wanted oysters opted for other things. Ordering is done via scanning a QR code with your cell phone, and that’s when you both pay, and tip. I do not think there’s an option to pay with cash. The “server” is really a food runner. They don’t take your food order and you have to go to the bar yourself if you want a drink. They didn’t ask if we needed refills or other food- it’s up to you to handle that one your own. The tipping suggestions started at 20%, which I found to be high, considering. The side salad was really great. It may have been the culinary highlight of the meal. The decor is really lush and beautiful.

I give 3 stars because my alligator and crawfish pasta was super good. My husband order a burger he said that it was just ok. My daughter got the honey chicken sandwich her bread was burn. The ambiance and atmosphere are really nice. The restaurant has tons of bourbon on display hahaha hence Bourbon House but gives it that classic steak and seafood house vibe. However, the main downside was the lack of service, and I can see why some reviews are low. The food was just okay—nothing special. We came here with a bachelorette party on our last evening in town, planning to splurge a bit. Unfortunately, the service was pretty much non-existent. The maître d’ was nowhere to be found; I saw her vaping in the bathroom while changing the toilet paper because there was none at all. Our server was friendly and quick to introduce herself but never returned to check on us or take our order properly. I even asked for bread, and she never brought it. It took a while to get drinks, and overall, the food was mediocre. Despite the disappointing service, my group of gals made the experience much better with their fun energy. Honestly, I’d probably pass on this spot next time. It has a nice vibe, but the service and food didn’t live up to expectations

It’s the perfect spot to unwind after work with a cold beer and tasty appetizers. But what truly made our visit special was Brooke. Her service was impeccable—attentive, kind, and always there when we needed her. We never had to wait for a thing, and her warm smile and outstanding work ethic made all the difference. On top of that, the atmosphere is fantastic, with sailboats and the lake creating a beautiful backdrop. We’ll definitely be back!

Blue crab pasta here is the best I ever had and the stuffed flounder. Never had flounder before but this is definitely worth coming back for. The place was pretty clean especially for the end of the day and the servers were super friendly and helpful. We got there close to closing time but the kitche was still open so they let us order and we quickly ate to not hold them back for too long. All the food was perfectly cooked, we took home leftovers and finished them too. Absolutely outstanding experience! This place has made my must eat list for whenever I’m in New Orleans. Was greeted warmly and seated immediately. It’s right on the river so nice views of the water and the boats. Started with the steamed crab claws and the fried crab claws. We liked both because they were so flavorful and they gave much larger portions than most restaurants give. The crab cakes were good, but not our favorite. The chargrilled blue crabs were amazing!!!! Absolutely loved! Full of flavor, cheese butter and garlic. The best thing of all were the boiled blue crabs!!! Lord whatever they boiled them in needs to sold. It was a perfect blend of seasonings and spices and the crabs were large, delicious and full of meat. Every bite was bursting with juices. Of course they have a full bar and wine selection. Our server, Ashley A was amazing. She made sure a drink didn’t get low or a tad of trash built up. She was on it and made us feel really welcome. They had live music when we were on the way out and had we had more time that would have been fun. I would definitely recommend and return.

Look, this isn't 5-star dining. I'll give you that. But it has so much charm and history that it more than makes up for it. I love oysters especially after a really hot and humid St. Patty's parade in Metairie. Between our group of four, we had no complaints and those that had never been loved the atmosphere and feel the place gives. Cozy and comfortable. Real people and real food. We had tons oysters, fried calamari, gumbo, garlic bread, and spaghetti. A couple things: 1. You pay in cash only, but it's okay because they do have an ATM. 2. The bathroom is in the back past the kitchens. It's not a big deal, just walk on past. The chefs are friendly.

Casamento's is literally a step back in time, a rare gem that was established in 1919 by two Italian immigrant brothers, a tradition carried forward by the 4 family generations that followed. The brilliant foresight of the original Casamento brothers in using Italian tile for the decor, floor to ceiling, which remains intact over 100 years later. Wonderfully simple, but most excellent menu with very tasty grilled oysters the Loaf sandwiches cut by hand from the loaf, hence the name. The fried seafood, oysters, soft shell crabs, catfish, shrimp, etc. is lightly breaded, always my preference. You really feel like part of the family here even if its your first ever visit. Come often as its literally an original.

Old School New Orleans as I remember it, from my first visit back in the early nineties. I returned for the oysters and spaghetti, yeah I left completely enamored with the oyster stew and one of the best cup of coffee in New Orleans and that saying something. As magazine Street turns into an open-air mall of expensive clothing boutiques, this is a reminder that New Orleans was once the funkiest of American cities we're the best inexpensive food.

Definitely a popular restaurant. When we arrived on a Friday evening around 6 pm we were met with a small line of folks ahead of us. The speed of the line went fairly slower than expected. The small, old fashioned and almost antique feeling cafeteria-like restaurant had each table filled. It's a small, divey joint that transports you back to the early days. Subway tiles cover the walls in a classic style and are rumored to be imported from Italy. I love dive bars and divey restaurants. This place had just a touch too much of that for my taste. The restaurant was moving from divey, to dirty, and almost, unkept. I am a huge fan charbroiled oysters and had to try Casamento's restaurant as one of the more popular and famous places for oysters in NOLA. We ordered two dozen charbroiled ($24.75 ea) (one for each of us), two beers and a side of coleslaw ($2 for a 2 oz serving). Our server was friendly and our order came out promptly. These oysters didn't have any charbroiled taste. They lacked greatly in flavor. The cheese wasn't melted, the oysters were warm, not hot. Overall, they were quite disappointing from a place that are "known" for their oysters. These oysters were more like baked oysters that came from an under-heated oven rather than charbroiled over flames. The coleslaw was simple and tasted as expected but in a smaller than expected portion for the price. Overall, Casamento's may have a place in the history books of serving oysters in NOLA and maybe they serve up a decent order of raw oysters on the half shell. However, as far as charbroiled oysters, there are many other establishments in the local area that serve up a much tastier plate.

To me, there is nothing quite as cool as a great family-owned restaurant that has been running for generations. New Orleans has quite a few, and tiny Casamento’s on Magazine at Napoleon is one. Founded in 1919, the original Casamento couple lived upstairs, as did a few later generations. You can easily meet members of the 4th generation working there now, and the 5th generation is coming up now. Casamento’s has a small menu of delicious fried seafood. We had the trout and the shrimp, and both were fabulous. Their French fries are properly fresh-cut, and the coleslaw is the creamy sweet variety - delicious. I don’t know who originated the charbroiled oysters dish, and lots of folks swear by the ones at Drago’s in the riverfront Hilton. My money is on Casamento’s. Large, plump, fantastic. The staff is warm and welcoming and loyal. I’d go there all the time if I lived in NOLA!

Best just admire this place from the outside. It ain’t happening anymore. From the outside you think you’ve found a treasure from 60 years ago and indeed this place might have been good 35 years ago. I remember simple family places that served the Best food. But this was not good none of it . overcooked grilled oysters, the fried oysters of no particular flavor and the awful spaghetti and meatballs. The meatball was ok but the sauce onion and sugar hardly cooked. Atmosphere - besides the old worn out tables and chairs - two tv’s one in each little room. - so no escaping them. But at least it wasn’t too loud. The oyster soup tasted good but was watery and had maybe three oysters in it. So I gave two stars. And Cash only? Hmmm. Why would that be?

Great Monday oyster special - one of the best deals in Nola. Focused but excellent and interesting menu. Got raw and chargrilled oysters, the coconut crusted snapper w/ crawfish étouffée (must get), the jambalaya and the fried oyster Caesar salad. Wow- those Blue Crab Beignets were out of this world! Easily the best thing we ate while at NOLA. This place was recommended by Derek from Cajun Encounters, and we knew we had to stop by after our tour. We were not disappointed. Their herb sourdough & beef tartare was delightful and a great combination together. The cherry on top was the attentive, knowledgeable and kind staff. Definitely not what I expected for a $300 meal. The food was very good, I have zero complaints on the quality, but I could have gotten the same thing for less at several other restaurants in New Orleans. It was not a $86 filet IMO. $15 for four stalks of asparagus was a little much. The staff was very personable and attentive, and easy to talk to. Multiple staff asked if we had allergies or dietary restrictions, which I highly appreciate. My reason for less than five stars is the fact that we were offered a glass of complimentary champagne for our anniversary celebration, then was charged $28 for said "complimentary" champagne. My biggest complaint is the atmosphere. For the Four Seasons, I expected a fine dining experience. I looked online where it stated the dress code was business casual, so that is what we went with. When I walked in I felt so overdressed. Every single other patron was wearing shorts and a t-shirt, with the exception of one gentleman wearing a tank top. It just wasn't the atmosphere I was expecting. If I do return, I'll be sure to break out my dress flip flops, and not accept anything "complimentary."

We traveled to NOLA for our Anniversary and made reservations (last minute/day of but was able to get a reservation for 2 at 745pm). At first it was a little confusing locating the restaurant (it’s in the Four Seasons) as well as the correct elevator lol. However the view and atmosphere was superb. The food was delicious… our waiter (i forgot her name) but she was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She accommodated my request (i mainly like juice in gumbo with very little meat), as well as something sweet and special for our Anniversary. Well, She knocked it out of the park with my requests. Food: My husband has the salmon and it melted in his mouth, very well seasoned (it’s the best salmon we ever had). He also enjoyed the Juliet Old Fashion. I enjoyed a well seasoned ribeye steak with a twice baked potato. The spinach with garlic was average. This was our first time but it won’t be the last time… 5 Stars.

From the Le Labo soap in the bathroom to the artwork on the walls, I knew this would be a great stop on my trip. I just love this place. Been many times on multiple trips. Bartenders are always so engaging and very much about keeping you company and telling you about their drinks and oysters. We stopped into this small raw bar tucked inside Jackson Square, not really knowing what to expect — and wow, were we blown away. It turned out to be one of the best oyster bars we’ve ever been to. Oceana Grill quickly became one of my favorite spots in New Orleans. The food was absolutely delicious — I had the sampler plate with gumbo, red beans and rice, jambalaya, and the crawfish étouffée, and everything was bursting with flavor. We were referred to come to this particular restaurant by The HideOut. Very clean and a great atmosphere. Our server Cherika J., was extremely helpful and courteous. She is an example of excellent customer service. She suggested food items from the menu. Which, we ordered Fried Fish Platter and Blackened Salmon on House Salad. The food was served heat hot. What she suggested, the food was delicious with lots of flavor. I did order the Charbroiled Oysters as an appetizer which we had to inquire about. The server immediately went to the kitchen to serve it. However, the manager came to the table to ask why I was returning the Charbroiled oysters. I stated that first and foremost it was not the servers error because I would have sent it back even if I received prior to my entree, because there was too much butter floating on them. Also, it was not the servers fault. She was extremely professional and an asset to the business due to suggestive selling and providing excellent customer service. We will be back when we're back in town

Deanie's Seafood Restaurant in the French Quarter is a spin-off of the original Bucktown location, offering generous seafood platters and entrees in a relaxed setting. The restaurant caters to gluten-free diners with options across all courses, from appetizers to desserts. Appetizer highlights include shrimp remoulade, broiled crawfish tails, and raw oysters on the half shell. The salad menu boasts offerings like creole spinach salad and the popular Bucktown Blues Salad.
We got the advice from a guy in the Sazerac house. I would say it’s one of the best places for the local seafood. At the entrance you have to sign in for the line, but we waited less than 5 minutes. From 3 to 6 they have happy hours and that saved us couple of dollars ;) The compliment was the baked potatoes (kinda Buelorussian seafood - If you are in the know). That was nice and very nutritious. We took seafood gumbo, andouille gumbo. They both were great. I recommend to take a bowl to catch bigger fish (we got quite a piece of crab). I liked double IPA beer (served on unusual glass) and grapefruit juice as well. The waiter was very friendly and nice.

All I have to say is that I fell in love with the barbecue shrimp. I ended up going with the half order and some crawfish etouffee. This is all I needed. I did try the fish as well. Every dish we had this evening was delicious! We started with the alligator boudin balls and a half dozen gulf oysters on the half shell. The alligator came with a bowl of peppers which paired well with the dish. The Oysters tasted fresh can came with lemon and cocktail sauce with a dash of horseradish. AMAZING! For the main courses, we ordered the grilled gulf fish topped with blue crab and the fried gulf seafood platter, and they did not disappoint. The service was wonderful and restaurant was very clean with decor that was unique to their location and the history of the restaurant.

Me and a women’s group dined at this establishment this past weekend and I must say, as we waited to get our food, other patrons were being served expeditiously fast. The hub was fast paced. Yet, we still sat there, enjoying conversations for over an hour before the manager saw my perplexed face and came over to see what was the matter. He quickly retrieved some bread and refreshed our water. He informed us our meal would be out shortly. When the meal arrived, some of the orders were wrong and the food was cold. Let’s say, when we were finally served, most of all of the patrons had eaten, paid and left. I wish establishments wouldn’t show such bias in their patrons as this establishment did this past weekend.

My wife had the Gulf Fish, which was equally outstanding. Our server, Ike, was excellent—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, his assistant struggled with basic tasks, which caused a few minor service hiccups. One big caution: check your bill carefully. We noticed charges for extras we didn’t order. For example, the menu listed a pour of bourbon at $11, but I was charged $17 simply because I wanted it neat. They also tacked on a charge for ice cream with my dessert, even though it wasn’t requested. Speaking of dessert, I was very disappointed in the Double Chocolate Bread Pudding. Despite the hype, it was dry and bland. The ice cream on top seemed more like a fix for the dryness than a true pairing. Save your money and skip this dessert—it’s not worth the price. In short: Fantastic seafood entrées, great main server, but watch your bill and skip the bread pudding

During our recent long weekend to New Orleans my wife and I had time for one sit down dinner. Based on menu and location we chose the Red Fish Grill. We felt safe that it was a Brennan family restaurant. We arrived early and were told we’d have to wait and were directed to the bar. Based on other reviews we had seen we knew this was their standard tourist move. When hostesses switched we reproached and were immediate seated. For appetizers we shared their famous BBQ oysters which are dressed in bbq sauce and melted blue cheese. For me this was the highlight of the meal. For the main course wife had the smoked redfish with crawfish which she loved. I made the mistake of ordering a fried “seafood platter”. It was greasy and the breading didn’t stick well to the food. This was on me as I should have ordered a fresh catch. I enjoyed a bottled beer and the wife had a nice cocktail. We were interesting in the chocolate bread pudding for dessert, but we had been eating all day and were too full to try it. Overall, nice place, good service, but the food is hit or miss and relatively expensive.

However, I asked if I could change out the crawfish and sauce on a dish and was told yes but when I got the order it was only egg and potato…I am a big meat eater and that absolutely did not work for me. When discussing it with Valeria she never frowned, or had cross words with me, just simply asked what else I would like to order, and she accommodated accordingly. We were very pleased with our meal as it was quite delicious, and the service was stellar. Way to go Valeria.

I think the worst frustration for a customer when going to a restaurant is not getting the service they requested and, more than that, being surprised when it's time to pay the bill. I went into this restaurant because I wanted to try the signature dish Chicken and Andouille Gumbo. That's what caught my attention on the menu outside. The server greeted me warmly but couldn't give me clear explanations about the menu. In fact, the menu at my table was different from the one at the restaurant door. I wanted Chicken and Andouille Gumbo, but I didn't see it on the menu at my table. Even so, the attendant said she understood what I wanted, but she didn't seem to know the menu because she said she wanted a salad and there were no options on the menu.The dish was well presented but had no beans and sausage, you could count how many there were. It was more like a thin soup, but the flavor was okay. I ordered a Caesar salad and it was one of the worst I've ever had, no dressing, no grated cheese, and the croutons looked old. It seemed like it was made in a hurry and without any desire. When the bill came, it described a dish I never ordered, which was something like a "Gumbo Bowl" or something like that. As I said, it's bad to have surprises. I've never ordered this dish, and the price was different from what I saw on the menu outside. I definitely wouldn't go back to this place.

I stopped in for a mimosa here and it was excellent! Brene was my server and she was very attentive. I didn't catch the man's name at the front door but he was a ray of sunshine! Such a nice man! We had the brussel sprouts, bread , pork belly , and some oysters. Plus dessert. The food was all very good. The bread was just a loaf of very plain bread but the brussel sprouts were amazing and so was the pork belly. My fiance loved the oysters and the desserts, which was basically a s'mores cake. She absolutely loved it. Also the drinks did come out pretty good. I would say this is a place you should visit if your around.

The oysters were fairly priced, as was the trout dip which was a generous portion. Service was adequate. I expect more attention to detail when dining in this type of restaurant. When we run out of accoutrements before the dish has been finished, we should be offered more. I do not mind team service, however, I think too much was overlooked because of it. The ambience is loud. Unfortunately, we were seated near the kitchen, and when it's a full house, it's challenging to hear each other.

I came here with two friends during my first trip to New Orleans. Our waiter was wonderful — such a kind, polite young man who made us feel welcome right away. I ordered a cup of gumbo, and it was delicious. The flavor was rich and seasoned perfectly, and I was impressed by how much meat was in it. Unfortunately, that’s where the good part ended. My friends ordered the BBQ oysters, and they were honestly not good at all. When we first sat down, we asked the host if they had chargrilled oysters — you know, the kind that come out sizzling with butter, garlic, and parmesan on top. He said their oysters were amazing, so we decided to try them. When the plate came out, there were only four oysters, and no one mentioned how many came in an order. That was surprising and a bit disappointing. But the real issue was the taste — the topping had a strange, smoky, burnt barbecue flavor mixed with breadcrumbs that just didn’t work. It was overpowering and completely took away from the taste of the oyster itself. Overall, the service and gumbo were great, but the oysters were a total miss. We went to Pêche on a Wednesday night with a reservation at 5:30 PM. Based on our research, this is considered one of the best restaurants in NOLA. While we appreciated our visit, we believe there are many other restaurants in the city offering a similar experience. We started with two half-dozens of oysters. One variety was excellent, but the other wasn’t quite to our taste. Next, we ordered the steak tartare and the smoked tuna dip. The steak tartare was good, but the smoked tuna dip was far too salty. It was served with a pile of salted crackers — which felt a bit underwhelming, especially given the restaurant’s price point. We expected something a bit more refined. We then had the seafood gumbo and the jumbo shrimp. We highly recommend the jumbo shrimp dish — it was excellent. For dessert, we shared the carrot sticky toffee pudding, which was also fantastic. Overall, we found the meal to be quite pricey for what we got. The service, however, was great. While Pêche is a solid option, we wouldn’t say it’s a must-visit when in New Orleans.

Peche Seafood Grill in New Orleans has a relatively spacious and comfortable layout. We were lucky to get a booth in the corner by the kitchen, which made the experience very private and quiet. I think sitting closer to other tables might make the experience feel less enjoyable, given how busy the restaurant can get. Our waiter was excellent — attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The food overall was good, with a few standout dishes. The steak tartare was my favorite — easily the best I’ve ever had — and the dessert was also excellent. The pasta dish was very memorable and flavorful as well. Some other dishes, however, didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The fried oyster salad and the crab fried rice didn’t match my palate, and the fish sticks were overly greasy, with too much breading and oil, which made them difficult to enjoy after a few bites. Overall, Peche offers some truly standout dishes and a nice dining atmosphere, but not everything will appeal to everyone. If you get a quiet corner booth and pick the right dishes, it’s a very enjoyable experience.

My experience at Peche in New Orleans was absolutely fantastic! We started off our evening with some delicious cocktails at the bar while we waited for our table. Pêche is in the Warehouse District in New Orleans. This restaurant is amazing! My wife and I started off with a few drinks at the bar and were well taken care of by Amanda and Sam. The place was packed and we were offered a seat at the oyster bar when they also had five empty tables so we decided just to stay at the bar where we felt welcome by these two lovely people. We were pleased to meet Jonathan , the Mayor of Pêche. He was kind enough to guide us through the menu and suggested all of the things we chose to eat, except for our dessert. He recommended Keylime pie, but we decided not to have that. However, the folks next to us did order it and said it was absolutely incredible. We enjoyed all of the dishes that we had, including a couple of different crab dishes, some shrimp dishes, and incredible fish sticks. The menu here is very fun and creative. This place is a real treat. We just walked by and saw it. It was packed late on a Sunday night, so we figured it must be good. It was excellent. We may well go back for dinner tomorrow.

Arrived with the reservation, got on the list and was texted our reservation was ready. Our waiter was knowledgeable and funny, his name is Max. We had the snapper off the specials and it was fantastic. The gumbo, was definitely legit and cooked with care. The potatoes and fried bread both very good. The atmosphere was bustling and a bit noisy but overall a great experience. The fish we saw on the two tables next to us looked perfectly cooked.

Service was better during the day. We ate here 3 times. It is my husband's favorite place to eat Char Grilled oysters and they are GOOD. In the evening the waitress forgot to refill our water, most of the meal, even when asked she would walk away and forget. I'm from the PNW and the heat/humitity in Louisiana takes some getting used to. She did her job but didn't seem all that happy to be there. The place wasn't very busy on all 3 occasions. I'd say 1/3 capacity. They charge you a service charge in the evening. We assume that's for the drunk folk who forget to tip. Could be wrong. The cheese grits were gross. Very dry and had clumps. Loved the wedge salad with blue cheese. The drinks were okay. Pretty glasses but a small amount for the price. I felt spoiled by the big hurricane drink I got at Obrien's The gentlemen who cooked our oysters was very funny and personable. He came over and told us how some oysters were small, so he gave us some extra, but we had to fight over the big ones. He seemed to be loved by others too. We witnessed a lady come to the door after they were closed, asked for him by name and gave him a big hug. All in all, we loved the place. Will visit again in the future.

We stopped here to eat dinner because they had oysters and peel and eat shrimp on the menu. I really liked the look of the inside as it reminded me of vintage hotel restaurants with the art deco vibe. When we came to the restaurant, it wasn't busy at all. The lady who sat us was friendly, but our waitress was less than stellar. She came and took our order, brought out waters to drink and we only saw her twice more during the duration of our meal. We only got 1 refill on drinks (which was water, but still...). She seemed uninterested in her job. The peel and eat shrimp were ginormous. They were decent size prawns, with the head and legs still attached. From what it said on the menu, they were supposed to have creole flavoring on them/with them... something. These were just steamed and didn't have any flavor outside of normal plain shrimp flavor. I would have liked to have some drawn butter, but staff was nonexistent. My husband liked the oysters he had but said that the ones he had at Acme were far better. I made a trip to the restroom so that I could wash the shrimp juice off of my hands (no wet wipes were offered). The bathroom wasn't very clean. The paper towel dispensers did not work, and the hand dryer was absolutely filthy. The lighting was dim, but it looked like either rust or mold/mildew at the bottom of it and I didn't want to put my hands near that, so I opted to wipe my hands on my pants instead. If we make it back to NOLA, we'll admire the decor from the outside but will probably seek other places to eat instead.

I ate breakfast here because it was connected to my hotel and I had a breakfast voucher. The voucher is good for $24 per person I believe. The food was fine, but not really great. The pancakes were dry. The prices are a bit high, especially considering you have to add everything. Nothing really comes as a meal. I added my grits, added cheese to that. Added whip cream for my pancakes. So for an order of French toast, pancakes, cheese grits, whipped cream (side), and 1 drink was like $50. I understand the price because of the location (on bourbon). But I wouldn't come back for the food. The service was good. Maybe lunch is better.

While waiting to meet some friends and catch the first game of the World Series this spot caught our eye. After speaking with the host and asking if we could sit at the bar we were welcomed and sat immediately. The place was poppin but still able to easily have a conversation which is both rare, and welcome. The bartender was very quick and attentive to everyone’s needs and orders. We decided on the mushroom pasta, shrimp po-boy, alligator bites a tall fall ale and mimosa. The fall ale was perfect and the mimosa was refreshing. The alligator bites were delicious according to my wife, the shrimp po-boy came loaded with shrimp on a bed of more shrimp but came without remoulade and was somewhat dry (be prepared to dress it up yourself). The mushroom pasta….. Lord have mercy!! That dish was in a category of its own, and was absolutely delicious!!! I cannot recommend that one enough. All in all we truly enjoyed this spot and you should give them a try.

Table for 2 for Lunch I had this place in mind for our 1st stop in New Orleans, so we took a quick 15-minute walk over from our hotel. We entered without a reservation, and were able to get a table for two for lunch. When asked if we preferred indoor or outdoor seating, we chose inside, it was a little too warm for Wifey this time around. 😁 They led us to a perfect high-top table just behind the bar, and our server, Kristen T, greeted us right away with menus. All the beers offered are brewed in house. I ordered a flight, while Wifey went with the Weiss. The beers arrived quickly, and we decided to add a couple of appetizers; I opted for the hot wings and Wifey ordered the bang bang shrimp. The wings came with a sweet and spicy sauce that Kristen told me was not that hot, it ended up being a good choice. Kristen mentioned she was new, but we couldn’t tell. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel well taken care of. The flight was excellent, and my surprise favorite was a Vienna-style pilsner called the Red Stallion. From where we sat, I only noticed one small TV, so it’s probably not the spot to catch a game. There’s also an upstairs area, which our server said is often booked for parties. She also pointed out that the space almost doubles as a museum, with artwork displayed on the walls and most of it available for purchase. While we were there, a live band started playing, which added another highlight to the experience. I went upstairs to check it out and found a huge interior dining area and a balcony overlooking Decatur Street. That’s definitely where I’ll plan to sit next time. Overall, it was such a great setup that I found myself thinking, I could have stayed there all day.

The cheesecake is one of the best we have ever had! Oops . . I need to back up and start at the beginning. Off on the wrong foot as there was a mix-up as to who had our table. Of course I had the 6 beer flight with some real winners and a couple that were just OK. Wife had the shrimp and grits, not as BBQ as expected but very good. I had the trio & the shrimp and grits was my favorite of the three. To top it off we had the cheesecake and it was tremendous. They use a different cream cheese here in NOLA and it was special.

I visited on a whim after I got checked my hotel. I was starving but was greeted by smiles and was sat in Perry’s section. They had some nice live jazz music going and all the NOLA vibes were there. Perry was very sweet and offered up some nice suggestions. I went with a salad , just so I had room for the crème brûlée. The salad was great and chicken very flavorful… but the star of the show was the crème brûlée. Everything was great, and the staff all greeted me with smiles and even made small talk (I’m traveling alone). Definitely give this place a try!

The other friend ordered the Jamabalay pasta 10/10 so, so good! We got crab cakes and oysters for apps and they bother were really good. The crab cakes were small but they came in 2.

This was a great find. Close to my hotel and they have a Happy hour Monday to Friday 3-6. The happy hour menu includes $1.50 oysters, so i had to be there! I love oysters!!! And they have so many options to close from, 6 ways too be exact. All very good. I loved chargrilled, must try. Of course the raw is a classic. I sat at the bar so i got to see the action, they chuck them right there! The staff was great, very friendly. I had a dirty martini, not great but it was ok. Their blackberry brumble was great. I also had Boudin boulettes, a must try, they were great. And for dinner i had their jambalaya pasta, which was great but it was not as hot as i would've liked. It really wasn't hot at all which is why they lost a star. It was a busy night, food took a while so it should've been hot. That was disappointing but it was still very good.

Let me first say, the atmosphere and the taste of the food was so amazing!! I was really excited to try the crab claws after reading so many reviews about them online. The sauce was TO DIE FOR. My only disappointment was that I only got five tiny claws in a $20 dish. Because I thought this was a mistake, I asked my server and she said it was correct ‘because it’s based on the weight’. Many photos online show anywhere from 15-20 claws, which is why I felt mine was a fluke. Either way, the taste was out of this world, so maybe I’m just upset I didn’t have more! lol My sister ordered the shrimp po-boy and it was OVERLOADED with shrimp. So so good!!

I ordered the "Smoked Bleu Burger" since I wasn't too hungry but you would never have thought that cuz I ate the whole thing and the fries! I opt the Mayo for ranch and that burger was done! It had a very smokey flavor and the bacon was nice and crispy. Our friends ordered the "Grilled Creaser Salads" and the "Smoked Fried Oysters, both were delicious. To be honest after the food and great service the 20% was well worth it.

Grand. Great. Absolutely grateful we found this fine, Big Easy establishment. While we did already partake in more touristy NOLA - not that there’s anything wrong with that - you can only go right with Grand Isle. And I’ll mention our orders were from some alternate food dimension that can only be crafted by their chef. The menu makes it clear: “No Refunds” ‘cause that’s how CONFIDENT they are with what they serve and clearly the labor of love that goes into their grand grub. We got a Caesar Salad, which is a rather basic choice. But here they baste 2 large uncut romaines with a dreamy dressing. Do make sure to have the Icebox Lemon 🍋 Pie, that’s key-lime-esque but lemony fresh with a fruit compote. Do not eat this dessert. Rather let it slowly seep into your tastebuds. My dish of fish was fan-freakin’-tasty. The corn grits are a hit (even as someone who normally despises grits). Make sure to talk to the staff - The servers, hosts, and bartenders are food-fluent and insightful. And whether you’re a foodie or not, your trip to Grand Isle is an investment beyond worthwhile!

We loved the onion rings (just beware of the dipping sauce, it has a KICK!), mushroom boudin balls, rice and beans, and fried green tomatoes. All unique and full of flavor. Our server, Tim, had excellent meal suggestions and was so fun to talk with. Don’t expect a fancy dining experience or shiny decor, Mahoney’s is the classic “hole-in-wall” with excellent food and companionship.

I got to say the appetizers were pretty on point. Got the muffaletta egg rolls which were fantastic and the red beans and rice which was also really good. Then ordered the shrimp and sausage Po boy..... Which was at least stuffed. It was good, but meh. Seems to be lacking flavor or something. Mind you it was still better than some of the places where we get like 4 little shrimp and that's it. But missing that bam pow I was looking for in a good shrimp poboy. I posted the pic of the Cubano poboy, but I didn't get to try it, so I don't know how that one was. Looked good though. Service was excellent and our waiter was very friendly and helpful. There is a reason why this place is famous. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is 10/10. We loved the waitress, Kaysee. She told us that the gumbo here has been made by the same man for 30 years. I got the BBQ shrimp po’boy that was more like a sweet BBQ po’boy. It’s a little oily but worth it! The apple crisp with a la mode which was AMAZING!! Definitely recommend the oyster po’boy, the gumbo, and the Ruben corned beef and the fried green tomatoes also.

Will I come back? Yes. Is there room for improvement? Yes. The food was absolutely delicious. No two ways about it. The atmosphere was classic New Orleans. Scratched all the itches. It was raining on arrival and the entrance was tough for my walker toting mom to get in. The bathroom was flooded out and I had to pick between company in the bathroom stalls, earthworm swimming in one and the unofficial mascot of New Orleans, the roach, in the other. The server got the order right but seemed to hate her job. Food there is ultimately the game cincher. If the food had been average, I probably would not return.

My family and I wandered in to find what I think is probably a neighborhood jewel. It had the feel of a pub and the food was good. We had the charbroiled oysters and a cup of the gumbo. Yesterday we went there by the recommendation of a friend. We had a wonderful time. The Catfish Po Boy was nice and fresh, the fries were some of the best fries that I have had. The fried pickles were also the best fried pickles that I have ever had. The bartender was an incredible mixologist and made perfect mocktails. They also know how to properly pour a draft. Everything came out in a timely fashion and there is lots of cool and quaint decor. The bathrooms were actually super clean and the food came out quickly. My only complaint was that the oysters served at the bar were too big and should have been used for sandwiches only. I don't like having to chew them in multiple bites. They were fresh though and the toppings for them were divine. If I come again I won't get the oysters but everything else we had was beyond exceptional and the oysters were not even bad, they were just too big for my preference but other people may find that very appealing. Very affordable prices and large portions. We were very happy with our experience.

It's been a long time since I've been to Cooter Brown's. They used to have hundreds of beers on tap. It has changed. Po boys used to be packed with shrimp and oysters but not anymore. We split a crab cake for an appetizer. It was amazing! I had the fried fish, which was crispy, hot, well seasoned and fresh. My husband had the chicken alfredo pasta, it had plenty of flavor was creamy and delicious! The view is beautiful and they have a wonderful outdoor seating area. You have a great view of the river. It is right across from the cathedral. You can hear the distant sound of jazz music playing all around. We went about 6:00. There was no wait. I definitely recommend sitting upstairs outside on the patio in the evening.

Our server Jerick was fantastic. Great recommendations and professionalism. Unfortunately, the General Manager, Paul started the evening off poorly. We had a few groups with reservations wanting to eat together and he seemed overwhelmed with the Hallowe'en parade and activity outside. Paul gave off the vibe that he really didn't want us there and reluctantly got us to our seats. The restaurant was bit at capacity and there was a large room in the back that could have accommodated all of us. Other than the initial "welcome", it was a great experience and the rest of the staff were attentive and courteous.

We came here for our family reunion lunch on Saturday, July 19th,2025. We all had a great time. It was a lot of us and the service was phenomenal. The food was delicious. It was buffet style. A nice standard seafood boil spot. Upon entering I was excited to see they had a lobster claw machine, but I was let down to see it was empty and out of order. We were given the option to sit outdoors which we accepted. The outdoor seating was on the second floor so we were able to experience all the streets had to offer, including the exhaust fumes of all the cars passing below. Overall it was still a fun outdoor experience. Our server was Gabe, and he was super chill and allowed us to take our time to figure out what we wanted. He also took the time to share some other cool spots to check out down the street as well as in the greater area. We ordered the hurricane cocktail, chargrilled oysters, shrimp, blue crab, corn, sausage, split with two sauces, Boil House and Caribbean. Boil House sauce was great, but felt like it was too similar to a lot of other seafood boil spots. The Caribbean sauce was very unique and just hit differently. Overall the food was pretty good, but didn’t really stand out to us compared to other seafood boil spots. The chargrilled oysters were great, just as most of these spots are. We would return for more of the chargrilled oysters.

This has been some of the best food since arriving in New Orleans. If you’re looking for quality food, do not stay in the central business district; venture out. We found this in the Garden District, tucked off on Magazine Street. The staff was very friendly and navigated through the menu very well. The food was exceptional. Great flavors. Calamari was crispy and well-seasoned. The gumbo was like no other; it had a traditional feel. The child oysters made me a believer, as I usually eat mine raw. And lastly, the seafood boil was something to rave about. Flavor in every bite, tender, juicy. A definite recommendation and a return visit.

If you trot upstairs, a friendly server will fling open the floor-to-ceiling windows for you, so that you can sit outside on the upper balcony. We had shrimp and potatoes in their own seasoning blend at medium heat, which were plenty spicy and were essentially what are called bbq shrimp around here. So good. Two pounds head-off was a generous portion for two people and would probably have worked for three. Crab cakes were excellent also. Super fun place. This was my 1st visit, and the food was great. I was with a party of 9, and everyone was extremely happy with their entrée. There are lovely views of the golf course. The only reason they didn't get a 5 star rating for the atmosphere is that there were flies inside the restaurant that were hovering on the large windows. As soon as they bought our food to the table, they started flying near our food and one flew in my drink, so I had to get another, and cover it with a napkin in between sips. We also had to fan the flies away as we were eating. We made the best of it and still had a great time. I certainly hope they do what's needed to make the dining experience 100.

Our table faced huge windows overlooking a pristine golf course with beautiful oak trees and well kept grounds. Our severs name was Shy and he knew exactly when to get our orders in and fill our drinks! He had fantastic suggestions for starters which we opted for and were not let down! Everything was perfect! Delicious seafood gumbo, where all the ingredients were expertly cooked (nothing overcooked or gummy) and thr broth was a sumptuous mouthful. A co-worker recommended your restaurant to me. So this past Friday, my day off from work we decided to have brunch at your restaurant. I must say that once we got in the restaurant we thought it was very cute and we love it. Looking out onto the golf course was very pleasant, but I really can't say the same for my meal. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits. It was beautifully presented but the sauce over the Shrimp and Grits was very, very salty, I mean too salty where I couldn't finish the meal. After eating 3 Shrimps with the sauce, I was done. The salt taste lit my palate like a ton of bricks. When I let our server know, she said that she would let the Chef know and she then asked me if I wanted her to remake it for me but it was going to be the same sauce. Now that didn't make any sense because it was still going to be the same salty sauce, nothing different. Since I couldn't finish my meal because it was way too salty, I think she should've taken it off my bill. I was/am very disappointed 😞.

Edit: new location on the edge of a golf course in Gentilly inside of a golf shop– not a bad place to get during normal busy times because it's not too crowded because it's out of the way in a residential neighborhood. Food is good and decently priced salads are uninspiring but other items are good Unassuming place and name. Creative takes on a lot of standard bar fare and local comfort food. Some items are great, some are meh. Salads, Mac and cheese, bisque was good. Shrimp n grits and tuna tacos not so much.

The meal came with corn, sausage, potatoes, and a side of jambalaya, but since they were out, they substituted with fries, which were absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the service was top-notch, friendly, fast, and attentive. You can tell the chefs take pride in their food, and it really shows. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality seafood! We’ll definitely be back!

I was a little surprised that they didn’t have any crawfish, but it’s totally understandable because they’re out of season. I’m not local to New Orleans, so I thought they’d be available year round. Not the restaurant’s fault at all btw, I just wanted to point out why I came here in the first place :) I ordered the charbroiled oysters and I was a little disappointed by how salty it was. The cheese was so overpowering and plentiful that it drowned the small oyster meat in a bad way. The bread and butter that they used was really good though! While the food was kind of a let down, service was great 👍 Super kind and friendly staff! The guy who took our order was really accommodating and helpful. The atmosphere was very casual, but the place was kind of small and tight, so if you’re coming be prepared if you are bringing a large crowd. They have outdoor dining as well. I wish I had the chance to have gotten one of their delicious sounding drinks. They seemed really interesting!

Core memory unlocked. Outside of a short stop on Bourbon St last night, our 2200 mile trip to NOLA started with one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever been a part of. After finding some highly rated reviews on Reddit, we made our way to Clesi’s and were blown away with our time there. Chance took care of us and delivered the highest quality service experience I’ve received in many years. Not only helping guide us through the menu with recommendations, but also giving us a very intentional idea of what we should check off our New Orleans list while in town. The boil was everything we hoped for and more. As much as it would have been nice to have them, big respects on skipping out stocking out-of-season crawfish. Everything they put on that plate was really fresh and well sized. The burger and po boy the rest of our party was fantastic as well. Gold star for the candied jalapeño and bacon charred oysters! New Orleans quickly became one of our favorite destinations we’ve been to and Clesi’s helped ensure we’ll be lifelong travellers based on the hospitality alone. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could!

Today I took Mom to eat here and met another Golden Eagles fan. The owner, Carlo was so kind to talk with Mom and tell his love for the Eagles and speak bout his restaurant. Now let’s get to food! I can’t say how delicious our lunch was. The oysters were some of the biggest I’ve had this year. Of course you could smell the crawfish a boiling for the first boil of the day. Yep, we got us some and it was done just right and tasty. The outdoor seating is on many different levels and was nice to sit outside and enjoy our lunch. To end my review and this will say volumes about Carlo and staff. My mom had dementia and it’s obvious. Carlos came back to our table and share a contact for services to help since Mom will be moving close to me. That’s just good people! Great seafood boil! Unfortunately it wasn’t crawfish season- but the crab and shrimp were great. The seasoning was just right- adding flavor but didn’t overpower the shellfish ( it was also gluten free). Everything was very fresh and the shrimp were large . We sat on the patio at a picnic table . The bartender/ server was extremely nice and even showed us how to get the meat out of the crab. The corn and sausage were also really good.

Nice place, the happy hour specials seem good. The oysters here were huge, ate like a meal. Definitely get the cracklings, they were quite good, esp with crystal hot sauce. Chase was awesome! He took really good care of us and made excellent food and drink suggestions. We stumbled upon this place by accident and we are so glad we did. My only complaint is that it was packed full of people and really loud so it was very hard to hear anything but other than that it was great and I’ll definitely go again.

First time to this eatery. Was recommended by a friend who used to live in the area. This restaurant did not disappoint. We had a part of 6 adults and with about 45-50 minutes on a busy Friday night. Plenty of other groups there especially for graduation gatherings. Food was great. Service was great. Hostess was good. Food may have came out a bit slow but to be expected in a busy night. Fancy but casual seafood restaurant that was recommended by a local. This was the first place we ate at for his long awaited return to New Orleans. Disappointed he only ordered the shrimp poboy, but he got what he wanted and enjoyed it. I didn't think he'd be able to eat it all, it's pretty big with Lots of shrimp. I had redfish Pontchartrain, which was superior to previous versions I've had. Really flavorful, but somehow lighter. The redfish itself was maybe the best I've ever had. Had the onion ring appetizer, which were also really light, crispy and delicious. No rez, we got there early and cought a table before it filled up on a Friday evening. This place came recommended by some locals so we checked it out! The char grilled oyster was hands down the best!!!! You can taste the charcoal smoke on them!!! Don't leave without getting those! Other things we ordered, gumbo (alright), Stuffed Catfish 2 fillets that had crab cake between the two and some pasta with an Alfredo like sauce atop the pasta w/Shrimp. The stuffed catfish meal was great! And those oysters with the bread was Amazing! 😍 We also ordered the voodoo rolls and those were good too! A little too much cheese, but they were good with the dipping sauce. The sauce reminded me of a honey mustard. It was a bit noisy, but it was busy! No wait though for a Monday night.

Located in the French Quarter, it is one of the oldest and most historic restaurants in the city. The restaurant offers an extensive three-course prix-fixe jazz brunch on Sundays, featuring flamed tableside dishes like Bananas Foster and Crepes Suzette.
Great, old school experience. Varied and excellent menu, decent wine list. Service is impeccable. Lounge has a live band that serenades each table. Great cocktail options. Be warned that there is a surcharge for the musicians but it’s a wonderful experience all around. Gumbo is some of the best in the world. Frog legs amazing. Love to go back.

Erik was an attentive server, and knowledgeable about the offerings. For Dinner, we moved to the main dining room. The service was provided by particularly caring staff, expressive in their descriptions of dishes, listening to taste options while enticing guests toward specialty dishes. The turtle soup was spectacular. The Pompano, offered several different ways, were wonderful options. Wine through to dessert were enjoyable, as well.

The steaks and service was amazing. It is a high end restaurant with a decent selection of foods period one of the issues we had.You can see circled in one of the pictures was that the fish dish had this piece of what looked like a staple attached to it or something.I'm not sure what it was, but it was definitely not a part of the fish or it didn't belong there. They did offer to replace the fish dish. But it was towards the middle. So everyone else was already done. Eating by the time it was found. And it was taking off the bill, but I feel like being a party of 6 with a $600 bill. It should have been a little bit more of something done besides just taking a meal off that wasn't eaten . The banana foster's was a nice presentation, but by the time it was served to me.The ice cream was all melted and it was more like vanilla milkshake, with pieces of banana. The Tres leches cake was very dry it was nothing like i've ever had before and I'm hispanic so I know a hood tres leches. I was not a huge fan of it.

This was our second visit to Arnaud’s. Last year we dined in the Jazz Bistro. Once again a lovely dinner and evening. The food was wonderful! Presentation, service, everything first class. Your staff was superb. I recognized the woman who has been promoted to Captain from the bistro. I showed her our picture from last year and we had the same waiter! The food was incredible- I only wish I had two stomachs. The oysters on the half shell and the baked variety were both excellent. Words cannot express how amazing our experience was at Arnaud’s!!! The crew there really went out of their way to make our time special and I would HIGHLY recommend them for a celebration. We went on May 25th for the Sunday jazz brunch, in case of a long wait we called and made a reservation ahead of time. It was for my bachelorette so my friends told the crew about it, the host and our waiter Aaron were incredibly nice and attentive the whole time, and every server did their best to explain the dishes and gave us recommendations for jazz clubs. The food was incredible, but the jazz band was just FANTASTIC!! They take ur request at the table, and after learning it was for my bachelorette and how much both my fiancé and I love jazz, they performed an extra song for me! Near the end of our brunch we were approached by the private host Justin and he offered to show us the museum upstairs (the museum itself is open to public but not greatly advertised). I won’t go into the details but they made a girl feel EXTREMELY SPECIAL and I would describe it as a once in a lifetime type of experience! 100/10 recommend Arnaud’s, will definitely be back next time we visit NOLA!!!

This was the first upscale dining experience in New Orleans for my fiance' and I, and it was everything we hoped for. Our service team of Justin, Sudeep, and Captain Sara were superb. Attentive but not smothering. Never too far and always available if needed. The perfect shining example of white glove service (without the actual white gloves). Now on to the food. In a word... perfection. We started by sharing the Chicken and Andouille Gumbo and it was fantastic. The perfect blend of spice and flavor. Everything we were looking for in a traditional gumbo. A wonderful start to the meal. For our entrees, after some wonderful discussion and guidance from Sara, my fiance had the Pompano David (a skin-on fish dish) and I had the Meuniere (a traditional French fish dish with a brown butter sauce). Both were exquisite and anyone who knows me and my love for a good steak should know that I ate every last bite of that fish. It was soooooo good! Amber loved hers as well. Oh, I almost forgot! As a side, we shared the souffle potatos. Ill just say.... we should have gotten our own orders. And you need to get them as well. Trust me! Desert followed of course and we shared a Chocolate Tahini Caramel Doberge as well as a personal Baked Alaska. The presentation of both was top notch but the flavors... another home run. Go here. Dont question it, make your reservation and enjoy the experience. You will be glad you did.

This place is great with the only compliant being how small it is and that tends to make it loud especially inside. The food is wonderful every time we go and extremely consistent. The service was warm, with staff happy to chat about their favorite preparations. For $91 lunch for three people (including beer), Porgy’s offered great value for such fresh seafood. Kenton's is located on a quiet corner of Magazine Street near Audubon Park. The outdoor tables are a pleasant location for a leisurely NOLA lunch on a warm afternoon. I had: - The oysters with the jalapeno--amazing! - The shrimp entree--delicious! - I tasted a vegan dish that my mom requested, and it was KILLER! seems vegan friendly to me! sorry, I can't remember the exact name of these dishes. everything was great though.
