If you're in Montego Bay and craving authentic Thai cuisine, head to Mystic Thai located inside Fairview Towne Center. This upscale restaurant offers a variety of delicious dishes that won't disappoint. For a more elegant dining experience with a waterfront view, visit The Pelican Grill. Known for its delectable seafood and refined ambiance, it's the perfect spot to savor fresh lobster or grilled snapper while taking in panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea.
I ordered delivery through Quick Cart, and was pleasantly surprised with the excellent packaging and fast delivery to my hotel. I especially appreciate the 'Tamper Safe' sealing! Although the curry goat had a bit too much bones, the to-go portion size for Calypso platter was generous. The coconut cream cakes were big, rich and sweet. Overall, this was a delicious meal where I didn't need to add salt, pepper or any extra spice. I look forward to dining there personally in the future.

This place is super clean, has a great location, smoothies are literally LIFE and the service is great!! However, their food is absolutely horrendous. To be in Jamaica, you’d think that the oxtails and peas/rice would be good here and it wasn’t. It was truly a waste of money and time and I won’t be going back (for food) when I return to Jamaica. Perhaps I’d go back for a smoothie and a friendly vibe.

I really enjoyed my visit here, it was clean and inviting. Atmosphere was spot on. 👌 quiet for conversations with the music 🎶 at rite volume. Staff were friendly and professional and served with grace and in a timely manner. I would definitely go again. Their menu 😋 is broad, so there's variety to choose from. Good location too
Terrisann B — Google review
When I walked in, I seemed a bit underdressed because I had all my swimming shorts and this place has an upscale/family vibe to it, but I was immediately seated in my order taken. I asked for recommendations and was told that the oxtails are famous here and apparently the spot has been open for over 60 years. I instead went for the red snapper because I had that on my mind and it did not disappoint although the rice and peas was rather dry and I had to order a side of brown stew to go with it. All in all I would return. The service was pretty standard. Actually, it was exceptional for Jamaican standards and the place was very clean and even though it was busy the wait time was not that long for the week to come out. Prices are definitely better than what you would expect to pay at the resort for a meal of this caliber. I believe my total came out to $30 which included tip.

Every time we visit The Pelican Grill , the food is served warm/hot and consistent with taste. Great service and staff. It’s like mandatory we come for breakfast while in Montego Bay! Definitely recommend 10 /10

Had a wonderful dinner my first time here. Service was great, staff was very friendly and engaging. Restaurant is clean and comfortable.

Had several wonderful meals here while on vacation and it never disappoints. The staff are friendly and attentive. I highly recommend the mango scotchie chicken! Absolutely delicious!!
Jeremy S — Google review
Super nice restaurant, lovely laid back atmosphere and cool slightly vintage decor. Staff absolutely brilliant. We were served by David, friendly, helpful and efficient. Thank you. The food was delicious, we had a Curry Goat and Jerk Shrimp. They were both really good but the shrimp was sensational! If I were to be critical, the goat could have taken a bit more spice. Anyway, we're going back in a couple of days so that says it all!

Jamaican restaurant
In Montego Bay, Jamaica, there are numerous dining options to explore. Scotchies is a renowned spot where visitors can savor the authentic flavors of Jamaican jerk chicken cooked over wood from the allspice tree. The restaurant's traditional grilling method imparts delicious flavors to the meats. Additionally, Mystic Thai offers a taste of Thailand in Montego Bay for those seeking authentic Thai cuisine.
Was a great experience for our larger party, all food was brought out in good timing and was hot and deliciously seasoned. I’d recommend this spot to anyone visiting the Montego Bay area. Bathrooms were clean and well kept. Real Caribbean/Jamaican food and tropical vibes all around. Prices were around $400-$600 Jamaican per meal which is about $2-$3 US. Service was impeccable and restaurant was clean and is mostly outdoor seating with a lot of tropical shade
Amanda D — Google review
To all my fellow culinary enthusiast and west Indians I'm sorry to disappoint with my review. With that being said I'm happy I went just to say I had the opportunity to visit the world famous Scotchies. The chicken was absolutely bland and the rice and peas as well. Festivals were okay. There were 7 of us and unfortunately we all had the same opinion. Service fast and friendly and they will tell you in the prices in American dollars if you are paying with US dollars. I believe they did that for the Canadian travelling with us as well. Have patience and learn to adapt to island time. Take time to support the Local economy ☺️
Christina V — Google review
We have been here a number of times over the years. It’s is very close to where we stay and it is easy to get to. We normally take a taxi but have driven ourselves here too. The staff are very friendly and the service was quite fast, except the fish that came after we had finished. The level of jerk is accessible for those who are not great with spice, but there are sauces on the table which are explosive! If you want to raise the level. The pork was the best in our opinion and we ordered more. The restaurant is next to the road which is quite loud, it adds to the experience, but it’s not a quiet eating location. Worth visiting to escape a hotel bubble.
James T — Google review
Without a doubt, this is the best Scotchies on the island! The flavors of the jerk chicken and pork are absolutely amazing—each bite is packed with a perfect blend of spices and smoky goodness that leaves you craving more. The meat is tender and juicy, truly showcasing the art of authentic Jamaican jerk cooking. Not only is the food top-notch, but the customer service is exceptional as well. The staff is friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. They are more than happy to provide recommendations and ensure that your dining experience is enjoyable. If you're looking for a place to indulge in delicious jerk chicken and pork, this Scotchies is a must-visit. The combination of great food and outstanding service makes it an unforgettable dining experience!
Sharna M — Google review
Easy review. This was the best jerk chicken I've ever eaten! Hot, fresh, and delicious! French fries were crispy and cooked to order as well. If they would include cocoa bread on the menu, this place would be perfect! Best jerk chicken in Jamaica hands down!
Midwest C — Google review
We were greeated poorly by the customer service representative/ cashier, then after having our meal my wife shirt back got spoiled by rust From one of the chair we ask to speak with a supervisor and all of them response was that they are busy, as if we weren't important, it's the first visit to the restaurant and as a visitor to Jamaica it didn't sit well with us , we end up leaving because we were ignore, after walking through the door we observe one of the cashier lady in red blouse laughing at us , very disrespectful . Our visit was on the 1st of Sept roundabout 6pm so we hope management can review the camera to see the poor behavior of the supervisor and staff. Hope no one else has to experience this behavior, also chairs need to be cleaned or re -paint
Kevin H — Google review
Scotchies was not worth all of the hype to me. I'd rather my street jerk chicken that I'm used to with more flavor, char and better service.
Tiffany C — Google review
I'm so sorry, food loving friends! But I had better jerk chicken, and WAY better rice, at our Hilton Resort. The chicken was good, but didnt have that crispy "char" on the outside. The rice and peas were bland and dry, to the point of the rice being crispy. I wouldn't recommend making the trip unless it's on your way.

Fast food restaurant
The Pork Pit in Montego Bay is a must-visit for those craving authentic Jamaican jerk cuisine. Located on Gloucester Avenue, also known as the Hip Strip, this popular spot offers a variety of jerk chicken, pork, and fish served with traditional sides like yam, breadfruit, rice and peas, and festivals (Jamaican dumplings). The laid-back atmosphere includes an open bar where you can enjoy local drinks while soaking up the vibrant surroundings.
if you don't go to Pork Pit, you're doing it wrong. we wanted to try everything - and thankfully I he prices are reasonable enough to be able to get a huge picking of selections. BEST shrimp I've had in my life, ribs literally so buttery tender - true definition of fall off the bone. the rice and green plantain, festival, and chicken were all so good. service was fast and friendly. can't recommend this place enough!
Shandie F — Google review
I finally got a chance to stop at The Pork Pit in Montego Bay and it lived up to all the hype. The moment I walked in, the smell of pimento wood smoke hit me and I knew I was in for a treat. I ordered the jerk pork with festival on the side, and honestly, it was some of the most tender, flavorful pork I’ve ever had. Perfectly seasoned, smoky, and juicy—it’s the kind of food that makes you slow down and enjoy every bite. The vibe is very casual and down-to-earth. You sit at picnic tables under shade, surrounded by locals and visitors all digging into their meals. It’s not fancy, but it doesn’t need to be—the food speaks for itself. The service was quick and friendly, and the portions were generous for the price. I also tried a bit of the jerk chicken, and it was excellent too, but the pork is definitely the star here. The festival bread was warm and slightly sweet, the perfect partner to balance out the spice. If you’re in Montego Bay and want a real taste of Jamaica, The Pork Pit is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back on my next trip!

Ordered the chicken. The food is very good! Very tender! Cooked and pitted right on site for all to see. Thank #needletours again for taking us to one of the Staples of #Jamaica with great signature foods. There's a 313 yr old #silktree here. The festivals are great. Nice and fresh. #theporkpit

What we had was decent, but they didn’t have hardly anything ready… no pork, no dark meat so this is the best review I can give them three stars. We were there on a Thursday afternoon. We settled for white meat, chicken and some french fries. The people were nice though I can give them that but when you have people traveling from far away, you gotta make sure you have food. We will try again.

Had the jerk pork it was amazing. It was nice and juicy. Rice and peas on done on the ball ! Highly recommended if your in Mobay.

The pork pit is great. The meat is done on a wood fired grill and done to perfection. There is lots of outdoor seating and I would definitely recommend it.

Amazing food!!! One of the best local spots that we were told to check out! All your food is grilled out on the cooker. Multiple sides to choose from. I had the jerk chicken, wit a side of plantains, rice and peas. Soo good!!! 10/10 would recommend!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, food lovers, and fellow enthusiasts of culinary adventures, Today, I stand before you to share an experience that tantalizes the taste buds and warms the heart—a journey to the vibrant flavours of Jamaica, all from the comfort of a place called The Pork Pit! 🎉 Now, let me tell you about the star of the show: the authentic Jamaican smoked and jerked pork and chicken. Oh, my goodness, where do I even begin? The moment you step inside The Pork Pit, you can already catch a whiff of that irresistible aroma wafting through the air—a perfect blend of spices that dances in your nostrils and whispers promises of flavour to come. The meat is smoked low and slow, locking in moisture and flavour, ensuring that every mouthful is tender, juicy, and oh-so-satisfying. It offers affordable drinks, live music, and themed nights like karaoke on Mondays and ladies' night on Fridays. The venue boasts killer waterfront views of the Caribbean Sea, making it an ideal spot for a sundowner. Known for its fresh seafood dishes, Pier One serves up expertly prepared meals bursting with flavors such as grilled lobster, fish tacos, and shrimp scampi.
Our first stop after arriving in Montego Bay for our honeymoon was Pier One, and it did not disappoint! The food, drinks, and atmosphere were absolutely amazing from start to finish. The ocean views and lively vibe made it the perfect place to kick off our honeymoon in Jamaica. I ordered the oxtails, and they were so delicious that I couldn’t resist ordering a second plate to take with me that’s how good they were! The seasoning, tenderness, and flavor were all on point. The drinks were refreshing and perfectly made, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Pier One is definitely a must-visit spot in Montego Bay great music, great energy, and even better food. We left full, happy, and already talking about coming back before our trip ended. Thank you, Pier One, for starting our honeymoon off right with such an unforgettable meal! ❤️🇯🇲

This was my first visit and not necessarily a Jamaica experience but one that would appeal to having a familiar American fast food experience. The menu has the American haunts such as ribs with some Jamaican food sprinkled in. I had the escovich snapper, which was really good.. I tried their hummus which was made spicy with scotch bonnet pepper. Gave it a kick. The location on the pier is nice. We didn’t go late enough to see the sunset but I can see that the location would be great for watching the sunset set. The restaurant also has a bar, along with seating areas. The service was good and very attentive. The waitress was helpful in addressing questions about the food and made the experience enjoyable. So I would say that this is a great place for those who are looking for a balance of Jamaican and American food.

We've heard about Pier One a few times. We were able to stop on this trip. Pretty scenery by the water. Probably can install a fan because the wind is not always blowing. The waitress was okay. My cheesteak was okay. My man liked his curry goat and saltfish fritters. The prices are very reasonable.

The service was not all that bad. The atmosphere is still amazing despite yhe fact that they're still repairing. The food was good as well.

Even though it was raining, this didn't stop them from honoring our reservation. They were polite, even at our arrival of the wrong location. The food was amazing and the Mango Pineapple beverage was excellent.
Raquel J — Google review
The view is nice at night. However, I did not enjoy any of the food. I think someone accidentally spilled salt on my plate because my vegetables and some of my meat was drowning in salt. I had to mix the vegetables with the rice because the rice didn’t have much flavor. Also, the drinks were weak.

Fast food restaurant
Island Grill is known for its authentic Jamaican jerk chicken, cooked over an open flame in their signature jerk sauce. The blend of allspice, scallion, thyme, and scotch bonnet pepper creates a mouthwatering experience. Alongside the popular jerk chicken, they offer options like jerk fish and sides such as pumpkin rice and coconut callaloo rice. Island Grill also caters to dietary restrictions with healthier fast food choices including vegetarian options.
Everything we tried was so fresh and delicious!!! The jerk chicken is awesome, the curry chicken stew with potatoes is amazing, the fries are really good and crispy, the vegetables stew, the corn, the plantain were all very delicious as well. And we each took a cool juice (holiday special with Sorrel for me, and pineapple/litchi for my boyfriend), that we really enjoyed. So refreshing! And the mix of flavours in both was really interesting. We’ll definitely go back while we’re still in Montego Bay! Moreover, the prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly. 🫶

It’s good. Not as good as what it was. The veggie stew lacking some seasoning. The festivals, the rice and plantains were great. The chicken wasn’t bad either. Need seasoning too
Ash — Google review
When we got there, there was a security guard in the front that said they didn't open until noon, despite Google online saying they were open 24 hours, and their own menu saying they opened at 11:00. He made us another couple and a guy wait outside, but a group of people walked in and right into the restaurant past us, and after they did that, he said let me go see if they're ready. He came back and said we could come in. That group of people, along with several other couples, individuals and such were already in there seated and had come into another entrance, but we weren't allowed entrance 🧐. They said we could sit where we wanted, and we sat at a table that's sat more than we had, as we didn't want to crowd anybody, but still at the water, and the restaurant was not full or have a lot of people in there. Then, the bartender made us move in case somebody happened to come in there and needed that table, though it was right when it opened on a Sunday and like I said, not many people were there and they had told us to seat ourselves. Took a while for a waitress to come. The view was beautiful. My husband ordered the oxtails, and I ordered the shrimp tacos. No complaints for my husband about his food, but my shrimp tacos were fairly salty and packed with lettuce, yet only three shrimp. So essentially, it tastes like salty lettuce. I ate one of the three tacos and let them clear the other two away, I did not take them with me to-go. We had also ordered margaritas and cups of water. They brought the cups of water right away but did not serve the Margaritas until they brought our food, which was a good 25 to 30 minute wait. They played music, which was okay, but the bartender sat there and sang loud the whole time, which was annoying. The whole visit was off-putting to me. I probably would not come back here.
Dre G — Google review
If you've ever wondered which fries/chips are best: McDonald's, Burger King or Wendy's then you've wasted your time. The fries/chips here are amazing. Best I've ever had. You can see from my photos exactly what we ordered and how much we paid. The prices are similar to what you expect to pay for the same amount of food from a similar establishment in the UK. Very reasonable in comparison However for locals.... I don't expect the price is too favourable for the average worker.
Scott E — Google review
For a takeaway it's okay, the food is constant so you know it's gonna taste the same. Be nice if the persons on the till even pretended they liked being there though, just saying!
Barry N — Google review
Fast food franchise type vibe. Food is tasty & average size . Service speed is average for this type of establishment, however the staff were very pleasant & attentive.
Andrew W — Google review
Great healthy options! Streamed veg and fricassee chicken was amazing! Good prices and quick service! Lots of fresh juices including guava pineapple blend.
Reg C — Google review
Food is good. Service is slow. Surprisingly when I was there while there were two cashier stations only one was being used. It took longer to order than to get food. Wasn't a lot of seating to eat there. This location has been around for around a decade and could do with some refurbishment. Also the screen was not static with the menu but changing between the menu and an ad which was frustrating if you don't know what to order and want to consult the menu. No paper menus where available so if the TV screen is down then you are out of luck

Juici Patties is a popular fast-food chain in Jamaica, with outlets in almost all of the country's parishes. The half-moon-shaped pastries are filled with a variety of ingredients, from beef to ackee. Started by Jukie when he was 16, these patties have become a testament to authentic Jamaican taste. The Montego Bay outlet on St James Street is just a short walk from the Hip Strip and offers freshly baked patties straight out of the oven.
We stopped by Juici Patties in Jamaica just for the patties, and they did not disappoint! Hands down the best Jamaican patty I've ever had, and I've had many. Absolutely worth it for an authentic, flavorful experience.

Busy location & of course fresh patties. The beef & chicken patties are good. Chicken patties was a lil spicy said a few but still overall good. I recommend you give it a try & decide.

It was packed but well worth it!! The line noved quick. The patties were hot fresh and absolutely delicious. The coco bread was soft and delicious as well. Very responsible priced and 1 will definitely fill you up. Will 100% come back again

Patties were pretty good, although I am new to Jamaica and do not have much frame of reference to compare them to. The staff was friendly, but they could do a better job of keeping the place clean. It was very busy at about 5:00pm, and it took about 20 minutes to get our food. They were also completely out of all chicken products, hot dogs, and French fries.

Well it's Juicy. You can sit and have a meal and security deh a de gate so yu good. Didn't give five star as dem money machine never seem to be working. But you can eat a food and still chill from sun.

You have not had an authentic Jamaican beef patty until you've had a Juici Pattie. They are scrumptious. You can taste every herb and spice, the crust is mouth watering. Now are they worth the wait? Most often 30 minutes or more, depending on the location you attend, some days yes and some days no. If you will not get another opportunity to visit some other time, then yes wait for it.

Marguerite’s in Montego Bay is a great spot for a nice dinner with a view. The food was absolutely delicious—everything was well-prepared, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The seafood, in particular, was fresh and cooked perfectly. Service was solid—attentive without being intrusive, and everything came out at a good pace. The setting itself is what really stands out, though. The views are spectacular, especially if you get a table by the water. It’s the kind of place where you can just sit back, enjoy a great meal, and take in the scenery. Overall, it’s a great choice if you’re looking for a memorable dining experience in Montego Bay.

I had the surf and turf and it was amazing. The wine was great too. I was dining by myself and mentioned it was my birthday that day and they didn’t offer me a free dessert or anything, little off putting considering how much I spent on dinner ($175 CAD for surf & turf and one glass of wine). Also they didn’t return for a good 20 minutes after clearing my plate until I eventually had to ask for the bill.

The best thing about Marguerites is the ambiance and the breathtaking views! If you’re looking to celebrate elegantly with amazing food this is definitely the place for you! The food was chef kissed even though it’s a bit on pricier side. The staff were friendly and made the experience great. PS: The complimentary birthday cake is an acquired taste, as such it’s best to purchase a different cake!

Could be better This is one of the pricier spots (fine dining) in Montego Bay so I’m rating it as such. Reservations Is required. The atmosphere is naturally beautiful, it could use a little soft music to up the ambiance . The service at the entrance was nice as the security guard was very polite and professional, the hostess was not as much. She could use some work. The waiter, not really a great waiter for a fine dining. Service was subpar at best. Please encourage Waiters to ask if the guests have any dietary restrictions. I did make my dietary restrictions known and I was still served an appetizer with dairy, had to rush home to get meds. For a fine dining, a waiter shouldn’t be walking by a table with plates needed to be cleared (set to the side at that). Quite a few small details that needs to be worked to make it a “fine dining” started . The food was okay. Very presentable but mid in flavor. All in all… for fine dining, mid.

This is by far one of my favourite spots in Montego Bay. The food and wine selection is simply lovely. But the service staff needs training in how to speak to get their points over in a warm manner. The door attendant is very transactional. Our reservations are always at 6pm…but each time we had to wait at the door since because the weren’t ready or finished setting up. We were offered each time to go to a room that seems to be a club, but it is very musty and dusty smelling so I refused that the second time round. Tip to management, if you’re opening for service at 6pm…you need to be read by 5:30pm. Your guests should NEVER wait until you decided to show up. Especially for your segment. But as I said..all things that are fixable. I don’t know who the Executive Chef is but he or she is incredible. We’ve had some hit or miss waiters as well. Some are very stuffy which leads me to believe they might have an outdated representation of fine luxury decorum. You would have had 5 stars but the service delivery needs work. Much love.
Nerissa P — Google review
Dear Lord where to start. My glass if Quilt Red Blend should have been a warning. I sent that back. Serving a slightly warm and single roll another warning. But the beef tartare was the real tragedy. Nothing fresh about it. Even that but if thin toast on top. I sat and sipped on a glass from the bottle of Decoy Chardonnay ordered the rum cake and half of that.

Located in the vibrant Hip Strip, also known as Gloucester Avenue, Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville is a lively party destination that draws both locals and tourists. During the day, visitors can enjoy the thrilling 120-foot water slide that plunges into the Caribbean Sea. At night, the venue transforms into Club Ville with energetic DJs and themed nights like Glow and Ladies Night. Celebrities like Danny Glover and Cindy Crawford have been spotted at this hotspot.
Enjoyed a great late lunch while waiting at our gate to come home! We ordered the Cheeseburger in Paradise & the Coconut Shrimp! Had the key lime pie to go and eat on plane ride! They have a nifty concept that is two sided. Also an upstairs area if they have servers. Wrap around bar and a super cute gift shop. Only sizes were smalls. So they stay busy! Our server was attentive but busy. We had a great time and enjoyed people watching at the airport! Thank you for having a nice offering for us to dine and take in the moment! Happy New Year!

Extremely expensive, very rude staff, and the food was frankly terrible. The order took an eternity and was not what we ordered. Run away.

This was a quick stop while waiting for transportation. The hubs and I considered a meal, but we decided to go with drinks instead. The service was okay. We understand it gets busy, but we also figured it would be easy to get two drinks. The atmosphere is upbeat though. If you're arriving for a vacation, the music will get you in the mood. if you're ending your vacation, this is a good last stop before you get on the plane.

Jerk chicken was amazing. Rice and peas on point and that Sorrel beer hit the spot. Great portion sizes too.

The food and the drinks were so good! The food was fresh, and the drinks were perfect in every way. Shelly was my server and she was awesome! Check her out. You won't regret it. The perfect end to a perfect vacation.

Outstanding restaurant to hang out in before your flight! I was recently traveling with my family and we arrived 3 hours before our flight home. Although there is free internet at the airport, the speed is quite low. We decided to go to Margaritaville for some food before our flight. Not only do they have a great selection of food amd drinks, but they have their own Wi-Fi. And this Wi-Fi is substantially faster than the free airport one. Nachos were great and easily enough for 4 people. Lemonade was made from scratch and a hit with the kids. Great food, service, and internet.

This is one of the better airport restaurants I’ve been to and is definitely the best restaurant in this airport. Just make sure you find the one by gate 9-15 and not the one by gate 1-5. There is two and they are not as nice as each other.

An excellent option for pre-flight food and passing of time. Great menu, friendly staff, and reasonably priced. We had the nachos which was more than enough for two people.

Peppa's Cool Spot is a popular eatery in Montego Bay, offering authentic Jamaican cuisine such as jerk chicken, curried goat, and fried fish. Founded by the renowned chef Peppa in 2016, this spot is known for its steamed fish and bammy, grilled conch, and lobster.
Peppa’s Cool Spot delivers exactly what you want from a local Jamaican dining experience. The setting feels authentically Caribbean - you’re dining in a relaxed, open-air environment surrounded by lush tropical greenery and that distinctive island atmosphere. The food is clearly the star here. The jerk dishes arrive with serious flavor well seasoned meat with that perfect balance of spice and smokiness that Jamaica is famous for. The portions are generous and everything comes piping hot. You can tell this isn’t tourist food it’s the real deal. What makes this place special is the attention to local tastes. They offer proper Jamaican hot sauces (including those scotch bonnet pepper sauces that pack real heat) and even serve Red Stripe beer, those little touches that show they understand what makes a meal authentically Jamaican. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious. You’re not paying for fancy decorations - you’re paying for good food in a genuine local setting. The outdoor seating lets you enjoy the tropical climate while you eat. If you want tourist friendly, sanitized Caribbean food, go elsewhere. But if you want to taste how locals actually eat in Jamaica, with bold flavors and real spice, Peppa’s Cool Spot delivers. Just come hungry and be ready for some heat!
Christi A — Google review
You have to know this place exists to find it. Seating is mostly outdoors but the views especially at sunset is very lovely. You get to pick the fish that you want them to prepare for you. Which is a nice added touch. I had the steamed snapper and it was horrible and flavorless. I had to send it back. The owner cooked me another one and that was very good. Customer service is amazing

Me and my girlfriends went to Jamaica and stopped through Peppa’s Cool Spot on afternoon post exploration. The food takes a while but I love that and that’s the be expected; right? That’s how you know it’s fresh : ). I LOVED my oxtails and rice. The only downside was one of us ordered the Esovich with the red snapper and she said it literally had no seasoning at all. That it tasted like it had been cooked with no real flavor consideration. That’s unfortunate because my oxtails were amazing. I’d go back for them & the conch fritters.
Ashley B — Google review
Great spot. The fried fish was delicious and fresh, great size. The salt fish fritters were delicious as well. Definitely recommend to check it out. The food did not take long to come. Don't believe all the reviews and check them out. Fellow Canadian Jamaican who loves fried fish!

The food at this restaurant was absolutely delicious — the kitchen truly delivered. Unfortunately, the service did not live up to the same standard. We experienced long wait times and inattentive staff, which really affected our overall experience. After placing our order, they forgot to bring our drinks. When we reminded them, they also forgot the water. I had to get up twice just to ask for the bill. On top of that, my wings and festival were served when we were basically finished eating, which made it feel like a waste of both time and money. It’s a real shame, because the food was great but i wouldn’t go back because of the service.
Naima B — Google review
We came here with our driver today, after a long day of doing excursions. This place came highly recommended. Our waiter was really sweet. I can’t remember her name, I think it was Sunny, but the receipt had a different name. It was 5 of us and our food came out in 10 minutes. It was fresh and good! Definitely want to come back and try other things on the menu.

Pretty good food. Good portion size but still felt like I was being up charged for being on in Montego Bay Area. Best coconut shrimp I’ve ever had! Jerk sauce was not spicy but appreciated the extra hot sauce at the table. Chicken was dry. Service was predictably lackadaisical and relatively mute with little communication

The best jerk chicken I've ever had!! I had Scotchies and some others but Jerky's is way above the rest as far as flavor and tenderness of the chicken. Have them add extra sauce on the rice and peas!!

I went with a group of friends from work. It was a pretty large group of about 17 give or take one or two. I guess they were not prepared or accustomed to large groups as were were unable to order a few items from the menu due t the kitchen having a cut off time frame.T The food was not bad but it could have been better. I had the lobster.

Convenient location right outside the city off the highway. Good getaway. Service is not bad but not wowing either. Menu is a bit boring, needs more options (especially given the name). Parking is limited but not a deterrent. Lacking in design/decor somewhat.

Unique little restaurant with a diverse offer for the menu, which includes: chicken, pork, fish, shrimp, lobster, conch etc. Easy to access as it is located along the Reading main road but offers limited parking. Caters to groups of up to 30. Pleasant and clean environment. Very good customer service. The price is a little above average but the quality food compensates. Check it out. Membership card also gives a free meal on the 12th visit.

Very good selection. Better than Scotchie's. They will let you take home some of their seasonings if you ask. Very friendly staff. More local clientele than tourists. However, tourists should take a drive to check it out of they are interested in the food. Tasty and a good value. Note, don't expect a view though.

Get Ramsay in to sort this lot out. Yes - a meet-up bar it is, BUT, a grill restaurant it really isn’t! Short version - Bar good, Fish good, soup good, but anything else foodwise is a roll of the dice. They know the issues (read the other reviews) but after a year they are riding on the bar’s location and ambiance and the fact that tourists won’t be back soon and so they’re not addressing they’re low consistency of food and long wait times. These people don’t get it so Don’t waste your time walking the length of the Hip Strip to eat food here....expect to have some nice drinks and a place to meet up, but nothing more or you’ll be disappointed and mystified too. Don’t be fooled by reviews that are talking about just scoring the bar and location! A Group of 4 if us went early on Saturday evening for a meal and a drink. Staff were pleasant but it seemed odd to be asked if we didn’t mind waiting an extra 20 mins for the whole meal to arrive with the mash (needed to be cooked from scratch!). The meal in fact didn’t come for an hour and when it did the Oxtail was cold. It was sent back so they warmed it up, but upon trying it found that it contained almost ALL bones with pretty much no meat. The server said she was not to blame and that the owner wasn’t there to complain to. After 10 uncomfortable minutes we eventually had to make a threat to not pay before a more sympathetic boss figure did speak to us and offered 15% of one main meal and 50% off the oxtail main dish. Among the main excuse he used was that Jamaica imports fish and meat from abroad so the island’s oxtail is more bones that you’d find in Europe or the USA! Apparently the island doesn’t do fresh meat! Despite most of the oxtail meal remaining untouched they would not take it back for full refund even considering the delay and reheat. Lessons learned....we think the bar changed ownership and food wait times and quality are widely variable. Staff are nice folks but have to deal with complaints but can’t do anything without a boss...I mean not even a complimentary drink for making you wait over an hour. If I wanted the experience of long Jamaica wait times then we would have gone to the KFC (in eyeshot view down then road....we had a long time waiting to admire the scenery). We went here with someone who had been in the past and had met the owner in England....he was crushingly disappointed and embarrassed he recommended it. After we got the split bill (the 50% discount was inaccurately calculated on one of them by the way) we paid and was ignored by the staff who at no point actually apologised outright or saw us out - so it’s clearly just about the money. Get chef Ramsay in to lay out those home truths and turn this lacklustre food bar around!!!

Whether you're shimmying to the beats at the Montego Bay location or enjoying live entertainment at Coral Cliff, this franchise promises an unforgettable time. Visitors praise the tropical escape with stunning views, delicious local dishes, and a family-friendly environment complete with a pool and beach access.
We’ve been here a million times. It’s very close to our place here and each time we visit it’s like we were just here the day before. Everyone is always so kind. This was even one of the stops for our wedding party. We literally love it here! Tonight the only food I ordered was the escovitch and per usual it was fantastic. We just made it in and once we dropped our bag we headed over. Again absolutely fantastic place. Tonight there was a DJ. He played nice music, very nice music!

I really enjoyed my visits here. The culture overall is very warm and welcoming. They charge for every little thing. The lifeguard and waitresses were accommodating, they made my 2 week stay nice. The jerk chicken wasn’t done completely. The drinks are delicious and the buffet on Sundays was very good. They also picked me coconuts off the trees! The only reason I didn’t give 5 ⭐️ is because the majority of female workers kept attitudes... and as much as we paid to stay, you should have to purchase chairs and umbrellas.

Hard Rock Cafe Montego Bay was one of the best franchise locations I have visited. It has a very nice tropical escape with breathtaking views, awesome local dishes and some of the biggest & juiciest burgers I’ve had. It is not the cheapest as it’s prices are mid range to high end but it is actually worth it. It’s family friendly with an awesome pool and a great beach. Skip Doctor’s Beach and go spend the day at Hard Rock Montego Bay! The Resturant, pools, beach, & patio are excellent! The showers and restrooms are incredible. The only negative is they had happy hour specials and it took over 30 mins to get the bill right. Still I would Highly recommend.

The food is incredible. Always go where the locals go is my rule. Exceptional taste and value for money. Can't fault it. We ate in and the atmosphere inside could have been nicer and cleaner. However, it was very busy which told us we were in the right place.

This review is about the Juci Patties outlet in the Sangster International Airport (MBJ). I am sure the patties would have been fine, but they were unavailable for at least an hour despite being told we had a 40-minute wait. While we saw that the patties were in a warmer, which we didn't like, we wanted something local that we knew, but after an hour of waiting around, we moved on to an overseas franchise, from which we were able to get a fresh, hot meal straight from their oven. Also, not everyone wants to purchase patties in bulk to take overseas; some of us just want a patty meal. I would recommend that the Chin family assess this franchise because it needs improvement.
Bookme R — Google review
I have been eating Juici Patties all my life. There are hot and delicious. The patties are stuff with a lot of meat fillings. They sell beef, cheese, chicken & even vegetable patties. The cocobread is soft and fresh. I remember when patties was just $17, that was over 20 years ago. Now patties are a dew hundred jamaican dollars. I used to grab a patty in the morning for school along with a big jo box drink. This location is the original juici beef location in Montego Bay. The place is clean and can gets a little crowded and noisy. However, you can dine in. This place makes me nostalgic. Unfortunately, there is no parking available. You would have to park in one of the paid parking lots in town and then walk in. There is no drive thru for this location either.

Food is fine, but they run out of it quick. They were out of breakfast by 10. Said they had curry chicken. Then 10 minutes later said they had no curry chicken and only had saltfish and cabbage. Took 15 minutes to prepare that. If you're going to go make sure it's early.

If I could give this place a zero I would. This past week I ordered twice. First is the stew beef and I opened the box is pure bones, only 3 peice of meat. Them stink and out of order, the box weight was due to the big thick bones dem give me. Today I ordered ackee and saltfish and It did hurt mi belly. It was bitter and I never even finished the food. They give me a peice of rotten bitter dark yam. Ackee was bitter and unripe too. Them a waste a time only thing they have is the natural drink and even that water down. Dem need fi do better. The food is expensive $1500 I paid for a box food and got thing. I wouldn't recommend or even go back ever again.
