Points of Interest & Landmarks
Jallianwala Bagh is a public garden in Amritsar, India, known for its memorial to the tragic massacre of 13 April 1919. The garden features an eternal flame-shaped memorial and serves as a significant historical site. It is part of the Heritage Mile along with the Golden Temple and the Partition Museum.
Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar is a place which I always wanted to visit. More than a tourist destination; it's a very historical place historical which has left a lasting impression on every Indian. Having heard so much of the incident on 1919 when the British indiscriminately fired on and killed and wounded many Indians, visiting Jallianwala Bagh was a deeply moving and emotional experience for us. The moment you walk in, as you have heard a lot of on the event, you can feel the weight of history all around you. They have preserved bullet marks on the walls and the well with a tragic story behind it serve as powerful reminders of the sacrifices made during India's freedom struggle. Government has done some renovation also. A good step. The place brings in a strong sense of patriotism and gratitude. It is located at a walking distance near the revered Golden Temple, and a must see of any trip to Amritsar, offering a stark reminder of India's struggle for independence. A must visit historical monument for all Indians. There are a lot of informative displays and a garden area for reflection. The place was very crowded as we went on a weekend.

Visiting Jallianwala Bagh was a deeply emotional experience. The moment I entered, I could feel the weight of history in the air. The bullet marks on the walls and the Martyrs’ Well speak volumes about the pain and courage of those who stood here a century ago.The place is beautifully maintained and filled with stories that remind us what freedom truly cost. The eternal flame and memorial create a peaceful yet powerful atmosphere that leaves you silent and reflective. It’s not just a tourist spot — it’s a reminder of bravery, sacrifice, and the resilience of our nation. Every Indian should visit at least once.
Guru S — Google review
Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar is not just a tourist destination — it’s a sacred ground of history and sacrifice that every Indian carries in their heart. I had always wanted to visit this place, and being here was a deeply emotional and humbling experience. Having read and heard about the tragic incident of 1919, when innocent Indians were mercilessly fired upon by British troops, stepping inside the Bagh fills you with a powerful sense of grief and respect. You can almost feel the weight of history in the air. The preserved bullet marks on the walls and the Martyrs’ Well stand as silent yet powerful reminders of the immense courage and suffering of those who laid down their lives for our freedom. The recent renovations by the government have enhanced the site while maintaining its historical essence — a thoughtful step indeed. Located just a short walk from the Golden Temple, this memorial is an essential part of any visit to Amritsar. The informative displays, peaceful garden areas, and solemn atmosphere make it a place for reflection and gratitude. It was quite crowded when we visited over the weekend, but that only shows how strongly this place continues to touch the hearts of people. A must-visit historical monument for every Indian — one that rekindles patriotism, pride, and deep respect for our nation’s freedom fighters. 🇮🇳❤️
Yaduveer S — Google review
Jallianwala Bagh is one of the most historic places in India, carrying the painful memory of the tragic massacre of 1919. Visiting this site is both an emotional and educational experience, as it reminds us of the sacrifices made during the freedom struggle. The preserved walls with bullet marks and the memorial serve as powerful symbols of the disaster that should never be forgotten. The site is maintained well and provides proper historical explanations through displays and plaques, making it easier for visitors to understand the events that unfolded here. One of the best things about Jallianwala Bagh is that there is no entry fee, so anyone can walk in and pay their respects. It is located very close to the Golden Temple, which makes it convenient to cover both in the same trip. The garden closes at 5 p.m., so visiting early is recommended not only to avoid the harsh sun but also to have ample time to explore peacefully. Be cautious, though, as there are occasional pickpocketing incidents reported around the area, and police presence is limited. On the brighter side, the place is surrounded by plenty of restaurants. Entry and exit are through different gates, ensuring smooth movement of visitors.
Aniruth G — Google review
The place is well maintained and there’s no entry fee. You can easily spend a couple of hours exploring around and understanding the history connected to this site. As you walk through, you’ll come across many untold stories. some displayed, some narrated by locals or guides. A must-visit place in Amritsar to truly feel a part of India’s past.
Santhosh B — Google review
This place really gives goosebumps. Jallianwala Bagh is a deeply emotional and historic place that reminds us of the sacrifices made during India’s struggle for freedom. The preserved bullet marks and the well-maintained memorial evoke strong feelings of respect and sadness. The museum inside provides valuable insight into the tragic events of 1919. It’s not just a tourist spot — it’s a place for reflection and gratitude. A must-visit for anyone coming to Amritsar.
M S — Google review
Jallianwala Bagh is not a tourist attraction—it is a sacred site of memory and resistance. Its haunting past continues to speak loudly in today’s India, reminding visitors of the price paid for the freedoms we now enjoy. It is a place every Indian—and indeed, every visitor to India—should experience. It stirs the conscience, educates the mind, and moves the soul.
Arun S — Google review
Visiting Jallianwala Bagh was a very emotional experience. This place is a powerful reminder of India’s fight for freedom, where many innocent people lost their lives in the 1919 massacre. Walking through the garden, seeing the bullet-marked walls, and standing near the well where people tried to escape filled me with respect and sadness for the martyrs. But I was disappointed with some changes. The original single entry and exit point, which was a big part of the tragedy’s history, has been changed to separate entry and exit points. This takes away the true historical feel, as the narrow passage was important to what happened that day. Keeping the original layout would help visitors feel the history better. Also, the Indian Oil branding right above the eternal flame felt very wrong. This flame is meant to honor the martyrs, and a commercial logo doesn’t belong there. Something patriotic like "Jai Hind" would be much better for such a sacred place. Jallianwala Bagh should stay free from advertisements to keep its respect and purpose. Overall, Jallianwala Bagh is a must-visit to understand India’s history and honor those who died for freedom. I hope it can be preserved in its original form without commercial elements. Let this place remain a true tribute to our martyrs and their sacrifice for our country.

Vikrant T — Google review
The dirtiest place I have ever visited changing room was really dirty and smelly please don’t waste your time and money it costs 600 for water park complete waste of money. It was really horrible experience for me and either the rides don’t work properly water was very dirty like a gutter.
Parnaj S — Google review
The pool water is so dirty i got red rashes. please don't go there insted visit other water parks and they also take payment as cash no g-pay or credit debit modes of payments. From the last 2 years the ratings are very bad due to the closing of the Amusement park and very less maintenance. The guides don't even guide properly .
Arshpreet K — Google review
Had a fun day at Suncity, but it could be even better! Slides were thrilling and exciting. However, some areas seemed a bit rundown and could use a fresh coat of paint and touchups. Staircase is very slippery and dirty. Needs mat or carpeting..Cleanliness could also be improved in the restrooms and around the wave pool. With a little TLC, this water park could be a real splash!

Amazing place. It may seem bit smaller on a due to the crowd but it is really a nice place. The big tricolour is primary attraction of the park. Musical fountain along with light show is great but its timings are not fixed you'll regret waiting for them to start the show. Park is mostly clean but sometimes you'll find some litter here and there as we indians don't use dustbins at all. You must go there in flowering seasons because the beautiful flowers will take your heart for sure. You must enjoy the sunset sitting in the open air theatre. Perfect view from we can get from open air theatre

The Punjab State War Heroes' Memorial & Museum in Amritsar is a must-visit destination for those interested in military history. The museum features eight halls that chronicle battle history from ancient times to 1999, and its centerpiece is a striking 148-ft.-tall sword memorial. Visitors can explore exhibits from the Navy Force and Air Force, as well as tanks, cannons, shields, spears, bows, swords, and daggers.
A Powerful Tribute to the Brave – A Must-Visit Memorial The Punjab State War Heroes Memorial and Museum is an extraordinary place that left me both humbled and inspired. Located near the India-Pakistan border in Amritsar, this museum is a powerful tribute to the brave soldiers of Punjab who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. The architecture of the memorial is striking — the soaring central sword sculpture and flame symbolize valor and honor. The museum itself is beautifully designed and very well maintained. Inside, it’s not just about reading history — it’s an immersive experience. From the moment you enter, you’re taken through various galleries that showcase Punjab’s rich military history, dating back to ancient times through to the modern Indian Armed Forces. The exhibits include authentic weapons, uniforms, medals, and detailed accounts of famous battles. The 7D theater is a highlight — it gives a goosebump-inducing reenactment of war scenes that makes you feel the courage and sacrifice of our soldiers in a very real way. One section that really moved me was the display of letters, photographs, and stories of individual martyrs. It puts faces and emotions to the names we often hear. It’s a reminder of the real people and families behind the headlines. The museum staff are helpful and respectful, and the overall environment encourages quiet reflection. It’s not just for history buffs — it's a place every Indian should visit to truly understand the price of our freedom. I’ve uploaded a few photos from my visit, but honestly, no image can capture the emotional depth of this place. Salute to the heroes of Punjab and India. Jai Hind 🇮🇳
ANKIT G — Google review
Huge space, has 8 galleries each needs 30 mins atleast. You can get a guide and also has a 7D show which we had to miss. Loved our time there, only advise dont underestimate and keep ample time specially if you are history buff. Museum covers wars from Sikh gurus to modern Kargil war and how Sikh regiments have contributed.
Deepak L — Google review
Very well maintained and it's nice to have a guide explaining each module and the sword figure is cool. Please avoid 7D show. It's very badly maintained and only first few minutes they explain abt Maharaja Ranjit Singh, next it's hellish with those seats and all the roller coaster video. I was sick after the show.
Nityashree G — Google review
You’ll need at least one full day to explore this place properly. There are both pros and cons when hiring a guide — the advantage is that you’ll understand the real stories behind the wars and unsung heroes that never made it to print media. The flip side is that most guides tend to rush through, so if you want to spend more time, you’ll have to set that expectation clearly. We had to rush to the Attari Border in the second half, so our guide wrapped up the tour in about 2 hours. The exhibits are interesting, but the show isn’t that impressive — it lacks a proper storyline and flow. They could’ve made it much better with a virtual tour or an interactive presentation covering all four major wars to provide a better context. The museum is co-owned by the Punjab State Government and the Ministry of Defence, and while the concept and structure are excellent, there’s still scope for better storytelling and visitor experience. Overall, a good place to visit if you’re interested in history and war stories — just make sure to plan enough time and get a good guide.
Santhosh B — Google review
The museum is very very amazing, the statues, the stories worth every bit. But have atleast 4 hours to enjoy it fully. To fully enjoy, have a guide. Our guide was Kritika, she explained everything very well and is a very sweet lady who answers questions very well. Ask for her when you reach Gallery 1 soon after entry. Haveli is a newly opened restaurant located along the GT Road in Jandiala Guru, resembling a traditional Punjabi resort with its old architecture and sculptures of traditionally dressed Punjabi men and women. The venue also houses the preserved house of Bhai Veer Singh, now converted into a museum.
Haveli is the name for authentic food and unique things, it is always joy and fun to go there. Haveli Amritsar jalandhar has good staff and affordable prices. Food is good quality and staff is professional and well mannered. The main thing it brings you in olden times. Your childhood memories recall.

The food ambience and service is fantastic.. Best part is that all the food is prepared in desi ghee … Lots of options for kids, outside seating arrangements including street food .. overall a wonderful experience

Amazing food. Punjabi Kadhi Pakoda is must try. Dal Makhani and paneer was delectable. Restaurant is beautifully decorated with regional elements, reflecting punjabi culture. Wait time was around 30 min as it was weekend, but definitely worth of trying for tourists.

We went to eat here after a long day. We all had a really good time. The food is nice and of good quality. They have various options on the menu. The service was also nice and quick. We had North Indian, Chinese and Khichdi and we liked it all. Would recommend this place for a big group where everyone wants different things and good quality food.

I visited this place on 13 July 25. Food is yummy … I tried Amritsari Kulcha which was Delicious and adequate for a person. The sweet lassi had ample makhan in it and was really treat to stomach. Being Sunday, there wasn’t any rush and I didn't have to wait. Place for parking exists. staff was courteous and accommodating.

recently had a chance to dine at this restaurant, and my overall experience was quite pleasant. The first thing worth mentioning is the location, which is very convenient and easily accessible. Whether you are a local or a traveler exploring the area, this place is well-situated, making it easy to stop by for a meal. The vibe around the place felt lively yet comfortable, giving it the right mix of casual dining and warm hospitality. Coming to the food, it was undoubtedly the highlight of my visit. The dishes I tried were both good and tasty, leaving me satisfied with the overall quality. What stood out specifically was how they served hot bhature and kulche, fresh from the kitchen. This little detail added to the dining experience, as hot breads always make the meal feel more authentic and hearty. The flavors were rich, and the generous use of butter gave it that traditional touch that many people enjoy when looking for Punjabi-style food. The service here was also worth noting. The staff seemed attentive and eager to serve, ensuring that the food was delivered hot and promptly. Sometimes, it’s these little attentions to detail that make a big difference and leave a lasting impression. In summary, this is a place where the combination of good location, tasty food, and great service comes together to create a memorable dining experience. It’s a spot I would recommend if you’re looking for flavorful meals and a satisfying service experience.

**Haveli Punjab, Amritsar: A Taste of Tradition in a Prime Locale** If you find yourself in Amritsar and craving some traditional Punjabi fare, **Haveli Punjab** is the place to go. Located in a prime spot, the experience begins with a warm welcome from a well-dressed doorman, setting the tone for what’s to come. Stepping inside, you'll notice a huge lorry parked right in the restaurant—perfect for a quirky photo op! The ambiance is beautifully done and clearly crafted with a lot of effort, providing a delightful dining environment. The food itself is good, though I wish the waitstaff had provided more clarity on the menu. For instance, I didn't know that only sweet lassi is served in a matka, not the salted one. Despite this, the thali was excellent and well worth recommending. Overall, Haveli Punjab delivers a memorable dining experience, thanks to its inviting atmosphere and tasty dishes. Just a bit more guidance from the staff would make it even better!

Park
Funland in Amritsar is a delightful amusement park that offers an array of fun activities for families and friends. The park features thrilling rides, trampolines, toy train rides, horror houses, and car rides. Nestled within the scenic Company Bagh, it provides a unique recreational experience alongside historical and religious sites. Funland boasts lush greenery and is divided into two parts with numerous paid and free slides.
A perfect place for locals as well as others to get together or children's fun time. The park is divided in two parts & both the parts have so many rides which are paid as well as free slides are also there. Entry ticket is 5 rs@ kids & 10 rs @ adults + a lots of parking area 10rs@ car .. which is very cheap n best deal for the family. If one couldn't say it's a great place or Not so much high quality fun park as it's owned by Government but it can't be denied to say a place food enough.. refreshments zone { cold drinks / food/ confectionery items } are available there. On the whole , a good spot for children. Rides are now 20rs @ children which were started from 10 rs. The plus point which I noticed is it also has very neat n clean {washrooms}urinal / toilets for ladies n Gents both. Electric car for children is 50 rs / children @ 2 rounds is somewhat a lil bit expensive for locals. Any how a great , cheap n best place in the centre of the city.

I went that place because of its hype .I have an open number of comments dad status very beautiful and it has amusement park so and so what are you when I went there I felt that it is a very small park here the food quality is also average it's not so good it's not so good for people and children but I saw that there is a boating also available there are many beautiful sculptures home many animal such as giraffe elephant lion cubs peacock and many more I like that touches their very much is good for children but there is no grass so you will see that the stage coming out of ground it's a very bad think they are which is the best place is good but I feel that the quality is very bad so don't waste your time . On normal day there was dust and dust flowing here and there and their so giving the place very untidy look. So just as i wasted time don't waste your time on going that place Rather Go to Suncity amusement park it's very very very beautiful place also the entrance ticket here is 10 for children above the age of 12 and rupees 5 for the children below the age of 12 and all the rides cost extra
Rajan B — Google review
Nice place for kids and photoshoot as well. The rides are perfect from toddlers to the younger ones. Good place for spending evenings. Ample parking space is available. Entry charges are just 30/- person. If you are carrying a professional camera, they'll charge extra. We visited it first for our maternity shoot and it was perfect.
