Nestled within a serene nature preserve, the Sungai Pandan Waterfall, also known as Panching Waterfall, is a stunning multi-tiered waterfall that offers visitors an idyllic escape. This hidden gem features a natural swimming pool with shallow waters perfect for children to splash around in. It's an ideal spot for a leisurely picnic or simply soaking up the beauty of your surroundings. Nearby vendors provide delicious food and unique souvenirs to enhance your visit.
My experience at Sungai Pandan Waterfall was very good. One thing I really liked is that the water is shallow near the waterfall, so kids can enjoy it safely. There are also slightly deeper areas (less than one meter) near the entrance for adults to swim. The toilets are clean and well-maintained. I recommend visiting on weekdays, as the place gets very crowded on weekends.

Nestled in the heart of lush greenery, this stunning multi-tiered waterfall offers a refreshing escape into nature. The cascading streams over the large rock formation creates and soothing visual, and the natural pool below is perfect for a cool swim on the hot day. But on weekday, this waterfall still crowded with the people.
Flowers B — Google review
Great recreation spot for families and friends of all ages. Open from 9am, so be sure to come early to get the best picnic spots. Plenty of parking available and the facilities are well maintained. The changing rooms/shower area can be improved though. It would be nice if they can add the shower rooms bcs it can be a bit packed in there

What an amazing place. These are the best waterfalls that I have been to.in Malaysia. So clean, refreshing, deep and breathtakingly beautiful. This is a must visit place if you are in or near Kuantan. We drove from Cherating and it was so worth it. Malaysia 🇲🇾 Truely Asia 🌏 💖 We.will be back again soon insha'Allah

A refreshing gem en route to Kuantan! Sungai Pandan Waterfall is a perfect pit stop for nature lovers. The area was bustling with locals enjoying picnics, while only a few tourists had found this hidden treasure. The river is clear, with small fish darting between the rocks—dip your feet in for an instant cooling sensation. We even spotted mushrooms and Dipterocarp trees, adding to the richness of the forest vibe. A rejuvenating break that’s worth the short detour.
ST Y — Google review
Its a wonderful waterfall to just sit under the cold falling water. Water was clean and freshly cool. Not many visitors during weekday and so we managed to sit around near the edge of the water. There are many small fishes in the water. Becareful of the slippery stone. The entire park was kept clean and there is only 1 drink stall opened. The toilet just built and it was clean. Big land area for parking. Will definitely visit again if we go to Kuantan.
Sharin S — Google review
Lovely waterfall, there’s an entrance and parking fee. A toilet is available to change your clothes and wash up. The waterfall’s rushing water was a therapeutic massage and soothing to the ears. A really scenic place to enjoy a day trip out from Kuantan.
Amos S — Google review
One of the best experiences that you must have when in Kuantan. Refreshing when the waterfall splash onto your back and head. It is not deep. Slightly rocky, but when underneath the waterfall, it is sandy and walkable. Not deep at all. Quite well maintained with toilet changing and bathing facilities. One caution for tourists is that you can take Grab there. However, no grab driver will come to the waterfall and fetch you. Thus, you need to drive there or arrange your transport back. Otherwise, might be challenging when no grab drivers come. We are lucky to meet 3 kind Malay girls who fetch us to Lotus. Terima kasih to them! Kind souls!🙏

Beautiful mosque on night time and beautiful main mosque on Kuantan city also Pahang State 😌 Recommend to take photo with aesthetic filter from Instagram for better result if you want to take beautiful photo for this mosque 💖 5/5 🌟 Mr Fish Approved 👍

A majestic and magnificent mosque with a vivid history of its history and architecture. Decided to stop here for a quick prayer. Other than the luxury-like settings, the place serves as such a great place to host activities religious or otherwise.
Markie Q — Google review
It’s impressive how well-organized and thoughtfully designed everything is. There are clear signboards everywhere so it’s easy to find your way to the main prayer hall, toilets, and ablution areas without any confusion. The mosque itself is very clean, spacious, and well-maintained.
Nur S — Google review
The biggest masjid in Kuantan. I attended Isya and terawikh prayers after my Iftar. Sadly, so many muslims did not joined the isya and terawikh prayers as they were still sitting at the field with their family for iftar. Not sure why though…..
K S — Google review
Well designed, peaceful and provide convenient place for musafirs to stop by, shower, freshen up and perform prayers. Toilet is clean, shower is clean and plenty, provide place to change diapers for babies, have a designated place for nikah, theres signs everywhere to show the way around the mosque. Lets keep the mosque clean 🤍
Laila J — Google review
The mosque is spacious and comfortable, the entrance when we went was a bit confusing. As The sultan also broke his fast together in the MBK field. *in ramadhan*

Came for a late Dhuha n the masjid was empty except for an ongoing Haj class. May we all be given rezq to go to Haj soon 🤲🏽. Surprisingly huge ruang solat, carpet itself a bit dated n needs more improvements on the maintenance aspects. Other than that, syukur diberikn peluang dan keizinanNYA utk berada di sini. Alhamdulillah.

Park
Taman Gelora Kuantan is a picturesque seaside park located just 2 kilometers from the city center. It offers a variety of recreational activities such as jogging, walking, running, camping, and picnicking. The park features a scenic landscape with a jogging path, playground, and a pond adorned with water lilies. Visitors can enjoy the sea breeze and beautiful views of fishing boats passing through the clean waterbody.
I have never seen such a beautifully maintained park in Msia. The grass was cut, no rubbish in the pond, no leaves in the grass. I was there at 11am while the sun was shining hot but luckily there was a strong breeze to keep us cool. Lots of monkeys. The park is special because it is full of pine trees. And it is huge.
Tan T — Google review
The “sand loop” is around 1.5km. But you can can get more mileage if you run on the outer part of the track. Pretty cooling place to run because of the trees and the sea breeze. Morning run can be crowded but still can run. A lot of elderly folks doing their morning walk, run and exercise.
Wagner D — Google review
Taman Gelora and the nearby Tanjung Api are linked through pathed walkway. The locals come to Taman Gelora for breeze walks and group dancing/exercise. If you are into photography, Taman Gelora is the place for you. Here you can take wonderful shots during low tide or any time of the day. If you stroll pass the Methodist cemetry towards Tanjung Api, you will find yourself walking into the life of local fishermen busy preparing to set sail.
Cheong W — Google review
A beautiful seaside park. Pros: - clean, nicely maintained - such a scenic view; lake on one side, beach on the other side - equipped with playgrounds, toilets & outdoor exercise equipments - free and spacious parking Cons: - natural jogging tracks may cause inconvenience to those that not familiar with sandy tracks - crowded during the weekend & public holidays. - a little bit far from city centre

Scenic spot
Pantai Batu Hitam, or Black Rock Beach, is a stunning beach located just 4km north of Kuantan. Its most distinctive feature is the black volcanic-like rocks that line a section of the beach, varying in shades of grey and black. Despite the absence of nearby mountains, this beach boasts fine white sands and unique black stones. It's an ideal spot to appreciate nature's beauty.
A truly unique beach with its signature black rocks scattered along the shore! Pantai Batu Hitam offers a serene and wide-open coastline, perfect for a relaxing walk while collecting seashells. The contrast between the dark rocks and the vast shoreline creates a breathtaking view, making it a great spot for photography and nature lovers. With its calm waves and refreshing sea breeze, it’s an ideal getaway for anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of Malaysia’s coastal charm.
Zhi L — Google review
Really windy, setting up a tent is doable although with some difficulty. As the name suggests, its a beach with black rocks. The view is okay, the water is murky. You can swim but please do be careful. There are soke stalls nearby and a food court. Parking is plenty only if the stalls are not there. Public toilet is decent. Third time coming here.
Firdaus S — Google review
Pantai Batu Hitam is unique with its black stones along the shore, making it a nice spot for photos and relaxing. The beach is clean, breezy, and peaceful, with some stalls nearby for snacks. A good place to stop by with family or friends.
Rsydrsli — Google review
Water is very clear. Lots of crabs and snails on the rocks and sand. Spotted some small fish too. Have to take note that coming here during low tide is better, because during high tide the water hides much of the rocks. We had a great time adventuring and connecting with nature. (no critters were harmed, we returned them all to nature after handling)
Ichigo H — Google review
Went there on labour day. The beach isn't too crowded. Sand is unique as it's slightly black. Water was crystal clear. Saw that the beach cleaners were actively collecting trash on the beach. Overall, the beach is clearer than most beaches that I visited. 🏖️

Good spot for celup tepung in Kuantan, there are a lots of food option, the breeze was nice the view very stunning. Open parking available, quite huge area for parking. Will come again next time

East Coast Mall is a bustling shopping destination with a diverse range of stores, from international brands to local boutiques. The energetic atmosphere adds to the overall shopping experience, although navigating through the packed mall during peak hours can be challenging. The food court offers a variety of delicious options for shoppers looking to take a break from retail therapy. Visitors can expect a cozy and clean environment with well-maintained facilities, including bright and new-looking restrooms.
You could find pretty much everything here. Better than some of overrated KL shopping malls. I stand corrected.

This was my childhood shopping mall on my city 🥹 It's brought me a lot of memories until now 😌 On present days a lot of new things on here but sadly some places moved to new shopping mall like arcade game corner 😔 Missed oldest days so much 🥺 Approved by MochiNeko 😺🍡

Maghreb prayer at level 2 male Surau, the space slightly smalll to cater jemaah especially during maghreb prayer jemaah rushing due to limited time for performing solat.
Ts. S — Google review
East Coast Mall is our favorite mall in Kuantan! It is absolutely the best—it has everything you could need, from a wide range of shopping options to great entertainment. Plus, the parking is easy and convenient.
Ummu A — Google review
The biggest mall in Kuantan, Pahang. Have a cinema, f&b, Electronics & gadgets, fashion & Parkson. Not too bad. Parking is cashless too. But there is no supermarket after AEON Big left as main tenant. So difficult to buy fresh fruits or produce. Even Pharmacy is hardly available. The exterior of the mall is outdated with old school printed poster while other malls has been using LED signage & 3D Display. High time to refurbish to make the mall more appear up to date.
Lini L — Google review
Second mall I go when I was kid 🥹 I have a lot of memories there, including arcade game now it's stop operated and changed to Toys R Us 😔 Present day, will goes to Parkson, GSC and Black Canyon for dinner or something so far 😅 Also they're near Kuantan City Mall, for those want to Kuantan City Mall too, just go there by walking 😉 Here's some random photo from there 😌 5/5 🌟 Mr Fish Approved 👍

Not bad, every thing u need is available. Comfortable
Shahida S — Google review
We love coming to ECM as it is convenient and has good facilities. However, today (10/10/2025) at around 9:35 p.m. we were chased away from BR and were refused service when trying to buy ice cream. Other customers also experienced the same thing. This is the first time such an incident has happened in a mall like this. The reason given was, “Kami dah tutup, ada audit.” Is this allowed to happen in such a well-known mall in Kuantan? Are there any policies that apply to other shops as well? Because only this particular shop treated us in this manner. We hope the management can look into this matter. Thank you.

Esplanade Kuantan is a delightful riverside destination that offers stunning views and a refreshing sea breeze along the picturesque Kuantan River. Spanning one kilometer, this paved walkway invites visitors to enjoy leisurely strolls while soaking in the serene atmosphere of the coastal city. The Esplanade serves as an active hub with various recreational facilities, making it perfect for families and friends alike.
A relaxing walk along the river, great for winding down at the end of the day. There are a few bikes and wheels here for rent. The pathway also leads you directly to the base of the 188 tower

A clean and beautiful esplanade, perfect for a relaxing afternoon stroll. Shaded by plenty of trees, it offers a cool escape from the sun. Popular with locals, especially those who enjoy fishing at the designated spots along the way.
Suzalinna S — Google review
Esplanade Kuantan is a lovely spot for both locals and tourists, offering a peaceful riverside atmosphere that’s perfect for relaxation. The well-maintained walkway along the river allows you to take a leisurely stroll while enjoying the scenic views of the Kuantan River. It’s also a great place for families, with seating areas and nearby food stalls offering local delights. However, it can get a bit crowded during the evenings, especially on weekends. One of the most charming aspects of the area is the nearby street art. The vibrant murals and creative artwork scattered throughout the streets near the Esplanade add a touch of color and culture to the city. These pieces showcase local talent, often depicting traditional scenes, modern themes, or aspects of daily life in Kuantan. It’s an Instagram-worthy spot that offers visitors a unique glimpse into the local culture. While you’re in the area, I highly recommend dining at Udang Celup. Their seabass celup tepung Restaurant is incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked, and delicious, all at a very affordable price. The portion size is generous, and the seafood quality is top-notch. It’s one of the best dishes I’ve had in Kuantan, and the casual atmosphere and friendly service only add to the experience. If you're a seafood lover, this place is a must-visit! Whether you're strolling along the Esplanade, admiring the street art, or enjoying a great meal at Udang Celup, Kuantan offers a blend of natural beauty, culture, and fantastic food.

Menara Kuantan 188 is a prominent landmark in the city, standing at 188 meters tall and offering breathtaking views of Kuantan from its observation deck located at 92 meters. It is the tallest tower on the east coast and provides an unparalleled vantage point to admire the surroundings. The tower is conveniently situated near several attractions such as Kuantan Art Street, Taman Kerang, and the Kuantan Waterfront.
The observation deck offers a 360° view of Kuantan city, river and sea, with a glass floor skywalk for extra thrill. Nice view especially at sunset, but ticket price a bit high. Worth a visit once.

A place where you get the ultimate kuantan city view from. Mind pleasing landscape and cool fresh breeze will make you feel out of this world. I choose to visit there on a weekend at an afternoon yet did not have to wait at all. Let me rate this place in the following categories: 1. Tidiness: People working there keep the place tidy and clean. It is 5/5. 2. Landscape: On one side you see a developing city and on the other side you find a view that is worth a thousand visits. 5/5. 3. Staff: Super friendly and helpful. 5/5. 4. Dining options: 2,one at the ground floor, another at the 2nd floor below the rooftop. It is not allowed to take food on the rooftop unless arranged beforehand. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

It's an interesting area, a lot of information about the royalty and history of Pahang were on display. Some binoculars are broken. I guess it's an okay place? I think if you have your own binocular or a love for Kuantan and Pahang in general, this is the place to be. Pictures taken from top of the tower

Menara 188 has a nice view even from the ground, just walking around it. However, it gets very hot in the morning, so remember to apply sunscreen or bring an umbrella. I highly suggest coming here in the evening instead and enjoy a walk along the Kuantan River. There are many food places right across the street, so you can easily grab something to eat after a walk.
Stephen H — Google review
I've only been to Menara 188 at night — 2X for Iftar (each year) and 1X for the Merdeka countdown celebration. The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking. You can really feel the calm and spiritual atmosphere, especially when the Quran is recited during solat. The city lights, the gentle night breeze and the overall ambiance make it a peaceful yet stunning experience. The staff were very polite and attentive, which made the visit even more pleasant. However, the price you pay feels more for the view than for the food. The meals during Iftar and the Merdeka countdown were just "biasa-biasa". The taste was okay, but the variety could definitely be improved.

Great value, we go on Friday evening between 6-7:30pm, we bought ticket by walk in, rm46 for indoor and outdoor deck, we took time to enjoy the sunset moment and take photos, souvenir is not Overpriced , weekdays seem like a great choice to visit if you can, coz we almost have the whole floor for our own.

Search "parking menara kuantan 188" please. Menara Kuantan 188 is a cool spot with a reasonable ticket price. You get a really nice view from the top, and you can even see the river. The staff are super friendly, and it's great that they have a surau and cafe on the ground floor.
Ummu A — Google review
1. The staff were really friendly and made the visit pleasant. 2. I found out you can actually get 15% off if you buy your ticket online through their official website — totally worth it. 3. I chose the Skydeck because the view is way better for photos. ✅ With MyKad on weekdays (Mon–Thurs), RM27 for an adult ticket. ✅ If you come on a weekend or public holiday, it’s RM36 for adults. 4. I checked out the Observation Deck too... it has binoculars, but honestly, there wasn’t much to see. I wouldn’t bother next time. 5. I took the Timur (east) lift going up — much better view from there. You get to see the Kuantan signboard, the mosque, and the bridge, which you won’t catch from the other side. 6. There’s no time limit once you’re up there, so you can enjoy at your own pace. 7. I’d suggest going around 6:30–7:30 pm — you get to see both the full daylight view and catch the beautiful Kuantan sunset. 8. For payment, they only accept QR, debit card, or Google/Apple Pay — no cash. 9. Shout-out to the slim male staff who was on duty as the chaperone at the lobby on 19 July, between 6–8 pm — he was super friendly and explained everything clearly. 10. Maybe the management could consider placing local staff at the Skydeck — currently, the guards stationed there are not locals.

Sivan Temple - Gua Charas Panching Kuantan is a century-old temple nestled within a limestone cave, located about 26km north of Kuantan. The site features a steel staircase around an abstract statue of Hindu god Shiva and is known for its association with a Thai Buddhist monk who meditated there decades ago.
A place on the way to Lembing. Tickets and parking price are reasonable. The steel stairs outside the cave is a bit scary, be careful. But it worth the climbing up! The cave is very chill inside, and I can see the pavements inside the cave have been improved a lot over the year. A interesting place to see many Hindu and Chinese temples co-exist in one cave.
Ma C — Google review
Gua Charas is a cave temple near Panching village, hidden in a palm oil plantation about 25km west of Kuantan. A 400millions years limestone masiff that towers around 300 meters high, the hill has a large cave chamber accessible by steps from the foot below. Inside, a reclining Buddha statue is housed at the end of a large rib cage-like passageway, along with smaller altars placed at random recesses along the walls. Lit by lamps, interesting limestone formations can be viewed along the statues, the ground wet at some parts from dripping water, a natural feature of such landscapes. Open daily from 9am till 5pm, small ticket and parking fees are charged on visitors. It is recommended to visit during noon when sunlight enters the cave for nice photo effects. Some shirtless Hindu priests were washing an altar and a black pillar named Jala Lingam, representing the deity Lord Shiva. Nearby, statues of an elephant and a monkey were kneeling before a Buddha while towards the rear of the cave, another holy man was attending to a modestly sized Reclining Buddha statue. Between 11am and 12noon we can see the sun light thru caves hole reach Buddha face. It is not the most attractive reclining Buddha in Malaysia but the fact that it was constructed in such a setting is impressive. Every corner of the caves you can see the water dripping and real lively caves which we called stalagmite and stalactites. It’s really huge caves would say 4 to 5 times bigger than Batu Caves. I was amazed with the way they build the path way and some of the shrine with just depend on rope and public help. The temple was well clean and I was blessed when reached the temple around 11am with Abhishegam continue with prayers at 12noon. Those who really wanted see the temple and caves please try to reach by 11am. Note: Please do not touch any of caves stones especially when it’s wet which will affect the growth.

There’s a SivaLinggam inside this cave. Mesmerising. The atmosphere inside the cave is nice. Different kind of vibrant. Hope the local authorities maintain this place well. Be careful if you travel with children. Saw some cave snakes and hundreds of Bat on the way to the SivaLinggam. Close at 5pm.

My journey to Sivan temple gua charas was very astonishing. Of course it is a steep climb to reach the cave entrance, so kindly take note as it is not safe to take small kids or anyone having trouble climbing stairs. The interior of the cave is well constructed. But the steel steeps leading to the cave entrance are quite rusty , some steeps look like it is in danger of breaking . So again a gentle reminder, please be cautious . However if you managed to reach inside the cave many wonderful deities, like shivan, yinayagar, Hanuman , sleeping Buddha and many others do inquire before going there as the signboards say the cave is closed at 5pm. There are toilets right at the parking area and also inside the cave.

It's a really good place to visit a Hindu temple and a buddha temple in the caves. Not too high to climb. But the upkeeping is really bad. Beer cans everywhere. I'm really upset by that. And the priests smoke in the temple. It's quite sad to see this. Thought of giving it there stars, but two should suffice.
Suresh — Google review
Beautiful architecture and natural formation of the cave. Legends says there is a big white snake around this parts. If you get a glimpse of it. Very good luck. Anyways the place is also filled with different types of sculptures of both Hindu and Buddhist cultures. Very cooling inside the cave. But to get to the cave need to climb a short but steep flight of stairs. Do thread carefully. Worth the climb though.
Jonathan V — Google review
There was a lot of construction debris and rubbish everywhere. Do not recommend going out of the way to visit, since they don't put in the effort to make the place worth visiting.
G L — Google review
This place is great for studying geography as it has many geographical features. The interior of the cave is cooling and many shrines and statues are inside too. This place is not wheelchair friendly as you have to hike up a few levels of stairs and the floor in the cave is slippery. Also I would recommend visiting this place in a group instead of alone as it’s quite dark inside and this place has low reception. Also bring a strong torchlight with you so that you can explore the dark areas inside the cave. Do pay this place a visit if you ever visit Kuantan.

Taoist temple
Nestled along a side road on the way to Sungai Lembing in Malaysia, the Lao Zi Temple is a unique attraction in Kuantan. The temple is famous for being home to the head of the longest Golden Dragon in Malaysia, measuring an impressive 823 meters. Also known as Lao Tzu, this Chinese sage's temple is a must-visit for those interested in exploring offbeat attractions in Kuantan.
Located in a quiet place in the northwest of Kuantan city. The only Laozi temple in Malaysia. The whole temple is full of magical colors and looks! It's like entering another world. The elements are also mixed. From the biographies of celebrities in history to the various gods in the legendary myths, they are all very vividly displayed in 3D. The most eye-catching, important and largest element is the "dragon". Tickets start at 5RM for an adult. The ticket seller will remind you "don't forget to ring the bell". The big bell is not far from Taishang Laojun. It is just a short walk from the side road. Remember to ring it three times. See the picture for specific explanation. I entered from the "Dragon Tail" entrance next to the old ticket office. It took a long walk, but the process felt a bit like circumambulating the mountain. As I walked, I gradually lost my thoughts... I walked to the dragon head and came out of the dragon's mouth... It was very interesting. Parking is free. You can drive up directly and park not far from the statue of Laozi. 🎬2025.2.11

Its a simple place with lots of statues. This highlight should be the 8 minute walk of a dragon from its tail and come out from its mouth - see my video to understand further. Its suppose to give you luck. Oh also, there a huge bell and you make a wish and use a fish hammer to knock it 3 times and wala; ur wishes comes true 😎. The boss of the place was there to tell us what to do. Very nice mannered and for that this deserves a 5 star.

Kuantan's Laozi Temple, formally known as the Kuantan Taoist Association Laozi Temple, is a prominent spiritual sanctuary in Pahang, Malaysia. Beyond its role as a sacred heart for the local Chinese community, it is a living vessel for Taoist culture and the timeless teachings of Laozi. Its distinctive architecture is not merely a landmark on Kuantan's landscape but a tranquil haven where followers can find inner peace and engage in cultural enrichment. Within its serene grounds, the temple's pond offers a surprising sight: the rare pig-nosed turtle, a living testament to the Taoist ideal of natural harmony. Complementing this spiritual retreat is a sprawling durian orchard, which is also home to the unique red banana—a fruit whispered to be sweeter than its common counterpart, with a delicate hint of mango.
Jony — Google review
Interesting temple but some areas were not maintained properly. The caretaker was very friendly, taught us how to pray and explained a lot about the temple.
Raknita — Google review
Great place to explore Chinese culture... Dedicated owners to preserve Taoism knowledge... Friendly owners to assist you to understand some of the culture. Ample of parking with an entrance fee of RM5.00/adult which the money is channel to maintaining the place.
Sidney T — Google review
RUDE and TERRIBLE temple caretaker! DO NOT RECOMMEND! When I visited, he kept telling us to pray before taking photos. I asked him to let me finish taking pictures first, promising to pray later, but he got upset and scolded me. He said if I didn't follow the rules, I should leave. Considering we paid RM3 per person to visit the temple and an additional RM5 per person to enter the dragon tunnel, I expected a warmer welcome. Instead, I left feeling angry - the first time I've ever had such a negative experience at a temple.
Rac — Google review
It was lovely place with an such an inspiring and charming in-charge. It is a Taoism temple open for all. Parking is available. It will be a good learning and experience. Try walking the dragon trail bare footed. It will induce positive vibe in you due to the acupressure point massage of your feet. Also you can check your own endurance.
Deep R — Google review
Rm5 per entry. Ample parking space. They have a variety of chinese gods and a mini dinosaur park. You are able to walk within the dragon that streches along the temple. There are foot reflexology stones and paintings within the dragon. Really awesome place although if you arrive in the afternoon, expect a sweltering heat of at least 37 degree.

Cake shop
Kula Cakes in Kuantan is a popular spot known for its delectable mango cheesecake. The cake has won over many with its sweet, soft, and fluffy texture, making it a favorite among mango lovers. It's a must-visit when in Kuantan, offering a well-balanced flavor of cheese and mango that keeps customers coming back for more. The cafe provides ample dining space for visitors to savor their desserts while enjoying the company of loved ones.
They really only sell cakes here, and some drinks. Obviously here for their mango cakes. Given that I have to take it on board my flight, they wrap the cheese cake in aluminium foil and a small container of mango sauce. Touched down safely with the cake mostly intact. Next day consumed with its contents mostly intact. It was bliss and i enjoyed every bite of it

You’ll need to queue before ordering, but the line moves quite fast. The mango cheesecake and pavlova were soooo delicious — definitely worth the wait! Although the drinks menu isn’t very extensive, everything we tried was really good. Plus, the view of Menara and Kuantan makes the whole experience even better. A great spot to relax and enjoy some sweet treats!

The famous cafe in Kuantan where everybody want to visit to try the signature Mango Cheesecake. The cafe is located opposite the Kuantan tower and at the endlot unit. Customer need to line up outside the shop and go in to order/buy when come to your turn. They allow 2-4 customers inside the ordering area because the area is to small. The dining area is outside the shop but it is nice and shady. Price is reasonable and worth to try. I love to eat mango especially Harumanis and the Mango Cheesecake was perfect to me. 😊 At the moment they also serving Durian Cheesecake. You guys can try.

Shopping
Berjaya Megamall Kuantan is one of the oldest shopping malls in Kuantan, offering a variety of stores and eateries. Despite some shops relocating, it remains a popular venue for events with its two spacious atriums. The mall boasts clean facilities, ample parking, and cool air conditioning. While not as crowded as before, it still attracts visitors to its modern environment and diverse range of stores including Watsons, Guardian, Starbucks, McDonald's, and Machines.
One of the oldest shopping mall in Kuantan. But many event still use this place. It has 2 big atrium for event space. It also has a big surau, clean toilet, plenty of parking space, and has an elevator. The air conditioning also cool. But a lot of shoplot here moved to another location. It seems to be a havoc place around 2000 but now it just a place where parent come here and visit some indoor playground, hobby shop, and eat.

Another Kuantan city legend and old Shopping Mall 😉 This Shopping Mall looks huge and big 😌 I remember come to here when I was kids, mostly because Popular Bookstore before they're moved to new Shopping Mall 🥹 But sadly most of their OG shop are closed such as, Parkson, POPULAR Bookstore, Giant and GSC Cinema 😔 Not to mentioned, some of their escalator are keep not working and not fixed it until now, mostly need the lift to go to several floor 🥺 But luckily, they have still got some visitors and customers, mostly because Jalan Jalan Japan, Tatako Kuantan, Kuantan Megalanes, Harvey Norman and more 😅 Hope they will fix issues and more interesting shop that I stated before 👍 Approved by MochiNeko 😺🍡

This is Kuantan city another legend shopping mall and quite famous those days 🛒🛍️ They're previously known by now permanently closed Giant, POPULAR Bookstore, Parkson and more 📚 Until now this shopping mall feels like half abandoned shopping mall since some shop that attracted a lot of visitors are closed, some of them are stated previously 😮‍💨 Even until now they have some shop that still can try to help to attract visitors like Jalan Jalan Japan, Tatako, Wedding Hall and Megalanes Bowling Corner, also some event on here too 😄 Their toilet quite okay but still not sure how clean the toilet room 🤔 But sadly they're still have some issues for their several elevator, still not fixed yet and even take too long to fix it 😢 Hope they can have more new shops for more visitors and fix the elevators for easier visitors to another level without lift 👍

Embark on the Kuantan River Cruise for a magical experience in the heart of nature. The 1 hour 30 minute tour takes you through mangrove swamps, where you can witness enchanting firefly colonies hanging from the trees in the evening. This cruise also offers a unique perspective of Kuantan, showcasing traditional fishermen and lush mangroves along the river. The tour provides insightful commentary and opportunities to spot wildlife like crocodiles.
I had an amazing experience on the river cruise! The guide was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also kept the entire journey entertaining with interesting facts and stories. The scenery was beautiful, and the guide’s passion for the area truly made it special. I highly recommend this cruise to any tourist visiting Kuantan. It’s a great way to explore the area and learn more about its history and nature. Definitely a must-try!

Went on it on labour day with a group of youngsters. To have the best experience, it's better to call them instead of straightaway going at the jetty. They'll tell you if there's a slot for you cuz it is group basis that requires a certain quorum. The driver was so engaging. Although we didn't find any big crocodiles but we all enjoyed the fun facts and ride up until South China Sea. Snacks, fruits and drinks were available in the ship. The surprising twist was the ladies get to learn how to steer the boat hehe. For Rm99, it's truly a one of a kind experience. Totally recommended! 😁👌

The evening river cruise experience was truly wonderful. Both my elderly parents and teen boys enjoyed the cruise. The tour guide, Mr Zainal, was engaging, informative and entertaining. He was also a good sport to let my special son try steering the boat for a few minutes which I am pretty sure left a lifetime of sweet memories for my son. His patience in trying to spot crocodiles for us to see and cheerful nature made the river cruising truly fun and simply awesome. As a tourist, I highly recommend this cruise operator for you to embark your river cruise journey with. 💫👍

Fabulous river cruise..the owner/captain was fabulous and very entertaining. There were 8 of us on the trip and he was sure to engage with all of us individually..we saw loads of wildlife including around 8 crocodiles of various sizes and lots of monitor lizards too. Went out to the sea afterwards and got to go and see a shop wreck too. Was such a great couple of hours. Lots of drinks provided and snack crackers, nuts and biscuits too.

Definitely a 5 star rating for this Kuantan River Cruise!! We brought our students from South Korea to experiance this river cruise, eventhough it was also the first time for us. Fortunately, Mr Zainal and his Team didnt disappoint us at all. In fact, I would highly recommend this package to all visitors, tourists and local residents alike. But, always look for Mr Zainal's package, and you would surely be satisfied!! We started our cruise at 4:30 pm, and the weather was very kind to us. After suiting up with a life jacket each, we were ready to go. Mr Zainal started his tour with a safety briefing first, before describing what to look for. The small korean children were so excited with the thought of seeing some life crocodiles that they didnt realize one was swimming just parallel to our boat...and that was an awesome sight to behold!! After that, they kept asking for more, and Mr Zainal would expertly manouver the boat to all possible nooks and cranies where he knew we could find more. The koreans were very entertained by Mr Zainal's friendly banters and jokes, where he also displayed his vast knowledge of the subject matters, despite delivering them in his wicked sense of humor. The korean children were screaming with shocks and awes when the boat performed some fast and thrilling stunts. We were shown the various fishing boats docking by the side of the river and some background on the local fishing industry. We also managed to catch glimpses of the otters and mud skippers at the river banks. A speeding thrust towards the open sea was the highlight of the cruise, as the water was more choppy and the water was splashing on our faces!! But we didnt mind it so much, as the feeling was simply marvellous, and the views were spectacular!! On the last leg we noticed that a drone was flying very close to our boat, and knowing that our antics were being recorded made the korean children even more excited. It came as a pleasant surprise to us that a copy of the video taken by the drone was given to us at the end of the cruise. We arrived back at the Shahbandar Jetty at 6:00 pm, and everybody was smiling happily...Thank you, Mr Zainal and Team..

We went for evening cruise and took the private trip. Mr Zainal and team were very welcoming and friendly. The boat is well maintained and cosy. We managed to found a few crocodiles and otters. It was very exciting. Mr Zainal is knowledgeable and close with his community. We learnt a lot about the fishing industry in Malaysia. The kids also enjoyed the session a lot.

Wow, what an awesome cruise and company. Our guide was hilarious and so enthusiastic. They did their best to accomodate a tour happening and at the last minute some other people confirmed and the tour was on. The fire flies completely blew me away, it felt like I was in the avatar movie. We saw around 7-10 baby crocs and a couple of bigger ones between 1 - 1.5 meters long. I highly recommend this company. Only thing I found sad was the amount of rubbish in the river, not a reflection on the tour company at all. Such a magical place here, really wish more people would work towards a cleaner planet. Definitely worth going on this cruise: we had the added bonus of a drone show at the end as it was a public holiday!
Kings C — Google review
Easy booking via WhatsApp, reasonable pricing (with discounts for msians). Nearly 2 hour boat ride up and down Kuantan River, excellent way to view the river and enjoy the sunset. Spotted some small and very shy crocs and a pretty eagle up close. Boatman (sorry forgot the name) and wife are the boat operators, very friendly and interesting explanations and intro of the wildlife and history of the river and banks. Boatman said night cruise might have better chance of spotting crocs so will try that next time!

Food was ok,came for the Ikan Bakar Petai. Just for two the portion was a lot, taste wise ikan bakar was delish, the lala smelled a bit,the fried prawns was fresh. Price wise was affordable for us. When we came in the evening it was raining heavily, better make sure to sit in the middle of the restaurant or you’ll be drenched in rain. Will always come here for the signature ikan bakar petai 👍🏻

Good experience for grilled fish right next to our hotel. The seafood is very fresh. But the spices used on the grilled fish is too overwhelming with too little petai. First time experience eating the petai with the skin on it!

We went on Thursday and believe not such a big crowd so seafood lesser and not the freshest! Prawns are farmed & they removed the heads already on the raw table for sale. So perhaps not so fresh. We skipped that. Grouper was v good and fresh with bakar sambal petai! V tasty! 665g xRM7. 50 =Rm49👍 Squid was disappointing as came battered deep fried flour (we don't like salted egg) n felt like tasteless fried rubber bands. We should have just bakar. Kangkong was v good! Crowd startedstreaming in at 8pm!
Chris W — Google review
The grilled fish with petai was tasty, but unfortunately it arrived last, much later than the other dishes. We had to pack it and eat at the hotel because of the delay. The tom yum was just okay, the omelette was too oily, and the spoon provided was quite dirty. The most disappointing part was the service at the counter. When we arrived, there was no greeting or smile — the cashier just said “129” bluntly. When we asked for a receipt, she looked annoyed and just threw it at us. Even when we said thank you, she didn’t respond at all. We came all the way from KL, but being treated this way was really disappointing. Probably won’t come back if the service stays like this.

This Chinese restaurant is a great place for breakfast. They serve Soup Mee, Curry Mee and Ketchup Mer — all pork-free. The taste is good and the portion is just right. They also have many drinks to choose from, including teh tarik, kopi, and etc. Service is fast, the place is clean, and the prices are reasonable. Perfect for a quick, tasty, and halal-friendly breakfast.

As a malay that love Chinese food this place one of my favourite, its my first time and i love it. At first the curry mee (bihun) taste something missing then i saw some condiments on the table, i try put 1 teaspoon which i assume the sambal and it goes mind blown and with that i now know why this OG Chinese small restaurant still serves their food till now. Aunty so friendly with big smiles despite being so busy serving and taking orders. The reviews was so sad, maybe they dont use the condiments provided saying overated, logically the price per bowl below rm10 and serves a big portions with full toppings. About drinks just a standard which dont care enough about it, its not bad price was okay la if you understand logic of current economy. About environment you cant aspect too much its old but pass standard cleanliness if you go back kitchen, theres hidden tables at the back

Authentic feel at the restaurant. Hard to come by nowadays. We are the 1st customer of the day, visiting right after 7am. Warm welcome by the owner. Not those thick, santan, curry. Lighter but doesn't loose the spiciness. Can request for extra paste if need further boost. Fresh ingredients. We enjoy our morning breakfast there apart from the sweat after eating curry.

Simple but nice Curry mee. Just order and you will like it. The inside of the kopitiam is hot. You should sit outside. Curry mee is not so spicy, but the curry sauce is very fragrant. Coupled with kopi or teh and that makes it a fulfilling lunch. The curry mee does have a lot of ingredients. Sedap!👏👏👏

Asian restaurant
Akob Patin House in Kuantan is a must-visit for food enthusiasts, especially those who appreciate traditional Pahang cuisine. The restaurant is renowned for its specialty dish, Ikan Patin Gulai Tempoyak, which features the famous silver catfish cooked in durian stew. This indigenous dish from the Pahang River and its tributaries attracts locals and tourists alike.
This is the best Ikan Patin Tempoyak you can find in Kuantan. Always choose the main branch for the best quality food. Tempoyak, a gravy made from Fermented Durian with Chili/Sambal, is a well accepted this by the Malay community, but not so well known/received by the others. Their Tempoyak Gravy is thick, creamy, and has a distinctive Durian aftertaste. If you are a tourist, I would suggest to choose the best Patin quality option, the Ikan Patin Buah. This fish is not farmed, but caught from the our Pahang river, hence, the meat is extra tender, and has no weird fishy smell at all. Farmed Patin always got that fishy smell, and in my opinion, that will totally destroy the whole dishes.

Second time here for lunch! Prices are pretty affordable, and the ulam and gulai lemak were fresh and tasty – loved the mix of sweet and sour! Only thing: the fried ayam kampong was a bit cold, though. Would’ve been perfect if it was warmer! Overall, still a solid spot! 👍

Was looking for a lunch place that served Patin Tempoyak, instead of going to the hyped restaurant, decided to give this one a try. The tail Patin Tempoyak portion is generous, mild fermented durian, sauce is slightly thicken but not the pais style, only hope the restaurant would take the initiative to warm the fish before serving. The boss is generous enough to let us try the Tempoyak daun keledek which opens up our flavours profile, I guess the bunga kantan and other herbs.

Tried the patin tempoyak (a rich, tangy dish made from catfish cooked in fermented durian sauce) at Akob Patin House. Arrived around 3pm after Friday prayers. They still had fish, though not much left. Patin head was RM30, and flesh around RM45. Staff were friendly and helpful. I had patin head tempoyak with rice, ulam, and iced Americano.. all for RM35. Tasty and surprisingly affordable! If you're near the state mosque or the tower, it's just a short walk over. :))

Longing to try patin tempoyak. The taste was so so,fish cooked in watery spicy durian flavour. As for daging salai masak lemak, all I can taste is the spiciness from the chilli.Rice was too dry.Dishonest when it comes to payment. Not worth for a slice of Rm 30 fish and a bowl of Rm 10 soupy smoked meat.

Authentic local food, the Most inspiring and unforgettable dish is sayur rebung masak lemak pedas, rebung ( bamboo shoots) are from Chenor !, coupled up with daging salai masak lemak cili api will send your taste buds flying high to the sky!! Brought home some and we end up eating the same dish for 2 days wanting for more! Hi hi.. Patin goreng is also recommended.

We arrived during lunchtime, and there's plenty of lauk and seating. Food was okay with variety of lauk, not just Patin. The price is good as well, our total meal for 2 cost rm17.90 including drinks (without the Patins tho). Unfortunatel our meals were interrupted by rats arguing under the restaurant's fridge. We have told the cashier lady, but she just 'okay and will look in to it' with not amused face. I hope they care more about the cleanliness of the area.

The beach is clean and well-maintained, with plenty of food stalls, restaurants, and local shops nearby. It's one of the famous beaches in Kuantan. Not as crowded on weekdays, but to be honest, there are more beautiful beaches elsewhere (try Pantai Pelindung).

Woke up early to catch the sunrise but not early enough and miss it.. LOL.. beautiful beach with soft sand. A small crowd already there at 7.15am. They should catch the sunrise and they are already done with their photo shots of the horizon. Few popular shops around it such a McDonald's and Starbucks. Several food kiosk surrounding it as well. Need to park parking fee of RM2.50 per entry to park. Otherwise, you can choose to park around the perimeter roads.

Sultan Ahmad Shah Airport, also known as RMAF Kuantan, is situated in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia. It serves as the primary airbase for the Royal Malaysian Air Force and handles commercial flights as well. Despite its small size and limited flight options to destinations like Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Singapore, the airport offers a hassle-free pre-flight experience due to its compact nature. The facilities are basic with clean restrooms and a modest prayer room.
A small airport that meets basic needs. Friendly and helpful staff, who would patiently guide you through the process, even if you’re just a first time traveler. There’s a small cafe in the airport that open since early morning. I was there at the airport since 8.30 in the morning, even though my flight was 10.55am departure, and the check-in counter open at 8.50am, but the cafe is already brewing hot drinks for travelers. There’s check in counters for both economy class, business class and priority lane. Although most travelers had to walk up the stairs into the airplane with their hand carry luggage, wheelchair users can still get onboard with the help from the airport staff. There’s souvenir shops for those who would like to buy souvenirs. Toilets are clean and available both in departure boarding area, and near arrival hall. Prayer rooms are available within the departure waiting area too. Taxi service is also available, for those arriving to this airport.

Small and efficient airport. Served only 2 flights when I was there. A scoot international flight to Singapore and a domestic flight to KL. Plenty of seating areas. One cafe and a convenience store serves the airport. International departure holding area a bit on warm side. Suraus available at international departure as well as before check in area

We were here today to welcome a group of Korean students with their teachers who would be visiting the International School of Kuantan for two weeks. The koreans flew in from Seoul, Korea via KLIA, and found that the direct flight to Kuantan was the best approach to visit the East Coast. Eventhough the airport is relatively small, all the facilities were up to date and working well, making their travel very convenient and seamless. Hopefully the powers-that-be could arrange for more flights to Kuantan from various destinations to create more positive impacts on the local tourism here. My wife being the CEO, had arranged for various activities besides the in class learning experience, including a visit to Genting Highlands, turtle watching at Cherating Beach, horseback riding at the beach and hiking up to the Rainbow Waterfall in Sungai Lembing. Lets hope that the Korean students would enjoy all the planned activities...
Sazali S — Google review
The airport only opens when there is a flight. For the most part only Malaysia Airlines have a daily flight to Kuantan from KLIA, one at about 925am and another at 630pm, and a return flight at 1030am and 755pm. At the point of writing Scoot also flies from Kuantan to Singapore and back three times a week. The airport is bare, with one grocery store and a cafe, with some rental car stalls open. Toilets are clean and functioning. Airside, there is nothing for you but a coway water dispenser. Police will actually call you to go through the check in counters and security can get a bit more strict here. Overall from check in desk to airside takes only 20 minutes. Its a very fuss free and efficient airport
Bernard K — Google review
Is a small airport. Limited shop. Is only accessible by taxi or e hailing vehicle. Is a great view to take window A seat cos the flight will fly along the coast line until pekan before turning to West, to KLIA.

The airport is quite quiet because there are only 2 flights involving Scoot Airways and Malaysia Airlines. Clean toilets. The surau is clean but not cheerful. There is a small cafe for passengers who are waiting for their flight, but the food and drink options are limited. The staff here are very nice, especially the staff at the MAS Check-in counter, very helpful. #sayamustipilih👍

AC is cold, toilets are clean. Unfortunately, the PA system seriously lacking speech inteligiblity, having difficulty understanding what the female announcer is saying. This issue can be easily resolved. Wonder why remains as it is.

Small regional airport, remember to fill your stomach before coming over as there is no cafeteria or shop opened in the morning. There are plenty of car parks here. The place is clean and tidy. One thing to keep in mind if you are traveling here is that there are very limited flight options.

Kuantan Art Street, located on Jalan Taman in Kuantan, has become a popular attraction since its transformation in 2021. Visitors can admire the mural dedicated to Sudirman Arshad and explore numerous art stalls and coffee shops along the street. The area is well-maintained, offering a clean and vibrant ambiance for leisurely walks and family outings. On weekends, visitors can also enjoy browsing through the 'pasar karat' selling new and vintage items.
I enjoyed a peaceful stroll in the early evening, exploring the vibrant Kuantan Street Art. The area is filled with creative and beautifully crafted murals that showcase local talent and culture. With few tourists around, it felt like a hidden gem—perfect for a quiet, reflective walk and some great photo opportunities.

Spend some time to visit this street art in the town centre .. better to come before sunset or early morning to avoid the direct sun and heat. Quite a numbers of good 3D art from the artist and one can download their app to view the effects of 3D popping up on your screen. Parking not a problem during my weekend visit here.

What a place. This is the second time I have visited kuatan and the first time I saw these beautiful paintings on the wall. I like the 3D Paintings on Art street walls. When I was moving on the street it gave me a very pleasant feeling. Also some people I saw there keep on cleaning the surroundings and making the wall more attractive. It was awarded in 2022 for its excellence. Highly Recommended 👍👍👍

Our bus was scheduled to depart at 12:30pm, we had a few hours before that to play with in Kuantan area. We did like wall arts we saw in New York, Lisbon, and Penang. So we got interested in this art street as well. We arrived there around 10am, which was a lucky timing because our shadow is short and the photos turned out very realistic and we seemed blended in pretty well with each work. I loved the artists’ imagination here. Not only paintings themselves, but also they specified the spot where cameramen should stand by painting footprints on the ground. They also used actual stuff to make it look more 3D such as chairs, tubes on the wall, baskets, boats and etc. If you like illusional photo shoots as a hobby, I think this place is really fun. There is the Kuantan tower nearby. We saw very old phone booth in the area. A lot of cafe and restaurants are nearby, so even in a super hot day, you should be able to manage yourself not to get overheated. I think this is a very considerate tourist site, so we can easily focus on “having fun” part.

Tasty seafood, but service needs tightening. We had butter prawns, fried squids, and barbecue fish. The prawns and squids were flavorful and arrived quickly. The fish, however, came much later—well after the rest of the meal. The delay disrupted the flow of the dining experience. Food quality is commendable, but they should improve order coordination and timing.

Had dinner at Ana Ikan Bakar Petai, Perkampungan Tanjung Lumpur, Kuantan and honestly, everything was on point. The sotong goreng tepung was amazingly crispy, golden outside and tender inside. The ikan kerapu bakar petai had a smoky fire-grill aroma that hit just right and the petai added that punch of flavour. Sata was nicely done, grilled smoky, moist inside. Keropok lekor was chewy-fresh, fried just enough to give it crunch without being greasy. We got there early at about 6pm so parking was easy and snagged a table straightaway. Service wasn’t slow at all, even though the place fills up. If you love fresh seafood & want bold local flavours with zero fuss, Ana Ikan Bakar Petai is a must-try.

Large and nice view of recreation park at kuantan..but always beware of wild monkey around lake..
AHMAD R — Google review
We have been having our morning walks here for three mornings in a row, during our recent soujourn in Kuantan. At first, we just wanted to try it and compare it with our Kelana Jaya lakes, but as it turned out to be quite popular with the locals, we eventually got hooked ourselves. Just like in Kelana Jaya, we started our walk early, at around 6:30 am. Eventhough it was still dark, we noticed a large crowd was already walking that sunday morning. The pathway was paved with interlocking blocks, but was slightly uneven at certain portions, mainly due to some overgrown tree's roots system beneath the pathways. Hence, we had to be quite careful not to stumble over the hidden cracks along the way. But the most surprising element was definitely the monkeys!! Located next to the forest reserve, this park is unfortunately swarming with wild monkeys, and their huge numbers totally shocked us. Eventhough none of them were posing any threats to the humans at the moment, but the sheer number of big and small families of monkeys tend to frighten younger children. I could observe that they were scavenging for discarded and leftover foods from the rubbish bins, while making a bigger mess in the process. If only the powers that be could maintain a better hygine and cleanliness level at the park, and employ more workers to keep the rubbish at bay, this would be a much safer place for family activities. I could see there were some paddle boats available for rental by the public, but the presence of the monkeys would definitely offer a stiff competition for the boats! The flora and fauna were the most positive aspects of this park. Beside that, there was a newly built basketball court and a netball court as well, which were patronized by the monkeys already from what I saw. There were sufficient carparking lots for the crowds to attend for local events and activities being organized here. We came across an empty foodcourt building which was only operating from 4:00 pm until midnight, and that was just a huge waste of space and opportunity, as the morning crowd didnt get to enjoy the facilities already available there. Again, another aspect for the powers that be to ponder...

Had our morning walk here and covered for 3km for 2 rounds of the lake. Be sure to arrive early (before 8am) so you won't miss the sunrise. Some path may look narrow, but giving ways to other ppl is a nice gesture. Think some areas should be cleaned up to maintain the areas. Will repeat! Do be careful of the monkeys too- sometimes they are a bit too friendly.

Long beach, not crowded at all. Grey coloured sand that many years ago was white. Good for a long walk or jog and it can get very hot in the afternoon sun so visit early morning or in the evening. The waves were fairly calm so you can also go swimming here. Not a ton of places, if any, to stop and eat or grab a drink along the beachfront which is quite surprising. A nice beach cafe or small restaurant would be very nice to relax and watch the ocean. There was a guy driving up and down selling ice creams. Lots of people doing ATV rides which can be a bit noisy/spread fumes. The beach is ok. Unfortunately some spots are a bit dirty. It looks like sewage comes down from the towns via the rivers so those areas can be quite smelly.. Only a small amount of litter in the sand.

Beach
Batu Hitam, also known as Black Rock Beach, is situated approximately 10 kilometers from Kuantan in Pahang. The beach features a combination of white sands and black volcanic rocks. It's an ideal spot for picnics with family or hanging out with friends. Visitors can enjoy swimming in the sea during non-rainy seasons. Despite some litter left by irresponsible individuals, it remains a great place to unwind and take leisurely strolls along its expansive shoreline.
We came here during perfect weather. Lots of parking. Sand is so soft, water is surprisingly clear. The rocks are good for exploring. Inside there's small fishes, different kinds of small crabs, and shrimp. Just be careful of slippery surface. To those who love bubbler crabs as much as I do - there are A TON here. Highly recommend this place

Puteh Beach Bar is a popular beachfront dining spot in Kuantan, offering a laid-back atmosphere and a wide selection of refreshing drinks. The bar prides itself on serving fantastic value meals made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and lots of love. Guests can enjoy great music while savoring their dishes. Visitors highly recommend the mushroom bruschetta and suggest visiting on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday to catch an exciting fire performance.
⭐ 100/10 ⭐ The ambience is absolutely lovely – cozy yet vibrant, perfect for a relaxing meal. The food was beyond expectations – rich flavors, fresh ingredients, and beautifully presented. From the creamy prawn pasta to the juicy burger with fries, every bite was pure satisfaction. On top of that, their attentive service made the whole dining experience even more memorable. Truly a place that delivers not just food, but happiness on a plate!

I was served by a Malay guy who was really nice and friendly. It happened to be my brother’s birthday, and the waiter politely asked if the staff could play a birthday song for us, which made the experience even more special. The food was absolutely delicious — we ordered the spinach & cream cheese pizza, Puteh nachos beef, and the Puteh signature mocktail. Everything was so tasty, and we truly enjoyed our time here.
Syasya F — Google review
The cooking was excellent, atmosphere was great with fire show, service was fantastic. If there was 7 stars, I would give it. Keep it up guys. Definitely will come back again 😊

We had dinner at this cozy beachside restaurant, and it was such a vibe! The open-air setup with soft lighting, white rustic furniture, and woven lanterns gave it a relaxed yet romantic atmosphere. The sand floor added a nice barefoot-beach feel, and the gentle sea breeze made everything even more refreshing. The ambiance truly stood out. modern tropical décor with purple and warm-toned lights that created a perfect evening glow. It’s ideal for couples or small groups wanting a chill dinner by the sea. The staff seemed friendly and shoutout to extraordinary service from Mader Liza. The food spread also looked good.

Experience 2/5 • Service: Poor. The waitress couldn’t communicate in English and requested us to speak Malay, which made the experience less welcoming. • Food: Taste was average but prices were on the higher side. • Environment: The decor is nice, but considering it’s along the beach, there are plenty of other restaurant options nearby. • Drinks: Limited selection. No cocktails available, only bottle beer. Overall: The experience was below expectation. It felt more like a neighbourhood restaurant in terms of service standards rather than a beachside spot worth revisiting.
Ⓙⓞⓐⓝ Ⓛ — Google review
The culinary experience was suboptimal, with the speed of service being inconsistent. The mushroom soup, which initially appeared appetising, proved to be devoid of any discernible flavour, and instead possessed a peppery taste. The smoked duck was found to contain a number of undesirable sour flavours, a defect also present in the black pepper sauce. I was unable to resist bringing both items to the attention of the waiter for his opinion. When a complaint was made about the sour taste of the black pepper sauce, the response was simply the condiment cooked with water and flavour. The two plates of chicken cutlets were accompanied by black pepper sauce, which proved to be a source of dissatisfaction. The condiment was found to be excessively sour in one instance and excessively salty in another. The chicken cutlets themselves exhibited an absence of flavour, with the oil flavour being the only discernible taste. It’s surprising that a restaurant with such poor food quality can receive so many positive reviews. If customers and the catering industry tolerate such restaurants using this kind of food quality to attract patrons (putting aside the price — after all, it’s not worth it, and the food quality is terrible), then who would still bother to cook with care? Only suitable for chilldrink, don order the food. (The sudden breaking of the connector of table leg gave everyone a scare. Luckily no one is injure)

I can’t recommend Putih Restaurant enough for a fantastic dining experience.”

Although they have so many reviews, I believe the most of them are not genuine. Definitely a beautiful place for taking Instagramable pictures. But didn't like the vibes here. It felt like the staff were sales and target orientated, i certainly didn't feel the friendliness that other reviews states. Sitting on the wooden platforms is very uncomfortable as the entire floor shakes when people walk.

Zoo Teruntum, also known as Mini Zoo Park Teruntum, is a small yet charming zoo located in Kuantan, Malaysia. It offers a modest selection of animals including monkeys, ostriches, and crocodiles. This attraction is perfect for families with young children as it provides an opportunity for kids to learn about both domestic and exotic animals while having fun. The entrance ticket is reasonably priced and visitors can also enjoy the sight of huge dinosaur models with realistic movements.
A good place to visit, especially for kids. The place is also stroller friendly. My family and I completed the whole tour in 2 hours (3pm - 5pm) despite the place being a "mini" zoo, as there were quite a lot to see & take pictures with. It's not too exhausting to finish the tour. Definitely recommended.
Rafiqah M — Google review
The park is huge and has many live animals as well like a zebra, siamang, otters, crocodiles and deers. I think the price is appropriate tbh considering the park is huge, clean and quite well maintained. Almost all the dinosaurs move (with motion sensors im guessing) and my son really really enjoyed his trip. There are also playground for kids to play. I highly recommend a visit with your little ones here. Best part? its not crowded at all.
Lokey — Google review
In my 1st opinion, they should remove "zoo" from name. There only got few animals in their care. Anyway my kids love it, that's why I give 4 star instead of 3.
Bob K — Google review
Zoo Teruntum is a pretty good spot to hang out with the little ones. It's an easy place to get to with plenty of parking, and there's a nice mix of animals to check out. It's definitely worth going at least once, but honestly, it's probably not a place I'd come back to again.
Ummu A — Google review
Just a standard zoo. Entry price is ok range. Not that high, not cheap. Not many living animals inside. But the dinosaur statue/machine, theres LOTS of them in here. Can take many picture, and if ur kid like dinosaur then they will have good time. I arrive at around 11am. Not recommended to come at this hour. Its too hot, and this place not enough tree that cover surface. So u will feel the heat. Better come around 3 or 4 pm onward. No animal to pet (not a petting zoo). nevertheless do come and support this zoo so that they can upgrade ya
Cashulz ( — Google review
Unfortunately, the visit didn’t feel worth the ticket price. I bought a 100 Plus drink inside the zoo and was shocked to find it priced three times higher than at local stores. The animal variety was quite limited, and the dinosaur section appeared run-down and poorly maintained. If you have other options for attractions, I’d recommend going elsewhere. Visiting this zoo might only appeal if you’re truly out of alternatives
Ts.Hasrul F — Google review
Despite the not-so-good review, I feel it is still a decent place to bring kids if you run out of ideas of what to do in Kuantan. We spent 1.5 hours in the park just taking pictures and exploring, the park is clean and can be quite hot if you come in the afternoon. Remember to bring a hat!
Michelle C — Google review
Great places especially if you have kids, most of the dinosaurs could move which adds more to the realism. There are also some other animals as well, all of them are cute. But I noticed there's no live shows and some of the tourism visits are closed.

The signboard itself is quite small so it was quite confusing to find the place but I hope the photos shared will help. Ordered the mushroom aglio olio, scone and another dish I can’t recall it’s name. The scones were lovely, we enjoyed it! The other two dishes, I would say average. I like that the aglio olio is a bit spicy but it’s a tad bit too oily. The ambiance is really nice. The place is clean, with a touch of art pieces. The whole are feels well-taken care of and they play good music too. I would come here for coffee or dessert next time.
Nurain Y — Google review
Very cosy ambience filled with the smell of baked goods. Coconut coffee was average but acceptable, with a sprinkling of coconut bits. Not very coconut-ty. Hot latte and cappuccino were normal. The two cheese quesadillas were a bit dry but okay. The strawberry and cream waffles were slightly sweet but very, very nice and we're served in a generous portion. The chocolate dome was also not overly sweet and extremely delicious. Out of all the items I ordered, I'd definitely try this again. The other cakes also looked very Instagrammable and promisingly tasty, though we did not try them. They have an interesting art gallery upstairs where you can view local art and purchase a few of them, if you choose to. The staff were not overly friendly and did not welcome us into the cafe. But they were observant and got us extra cutlery before we even asked. After you are seated, they will bring you a menu but you are required to order at the counter. Do expect a bit of waiting time for your food and drinks as they are understaffed. The cafe also did not seem to have a wash basin so do take note of that and sanitize your hands after you use their washroom. Overall, I would come back again to try their waffles and cakes. Maybe even their sandwiches.

January 2023: First of all, the ambiance was great and cozy. Service is so slow unfortunately but the food was delicious not kidding the only bummer is the portion for the spicy chicken grill is small. The mashed potatoes were to die for. Even my picky eater friend agrees. Nice cafe to chill but not to have heavy meals

Visited during high tea time. The cafe environment is quite cozy and nice. Varieties of choices for drinks and foods. Waffle seems to be a famous choice. Ordered white chocolate, earl grey tree, chai coffee and strawberry waffle. Foods and drinks tasted OK. Services are also OK. Prices are OK.

Coffee is good. Tried the rib eye steak and mash. Rib eye was too tough like chewing hard rubber. Careful if you have false teeth. The oreo in a jar is not nice, mostly tasted of fluffy fresh cream. Quesadillas is not bad. Parking is limited

Nice little cozy cafe. Love the vibe and ambience as it's a good place to catch up with your friends or family over a good cup of coffee and delicious food. They have many variety food and beverage on the menu. Great things that they have vegetarian and vegan option too. They pastries are very good, especially the Scones served with jam and cream. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Upstairs of the cafe, there's a little art gallery that you can visit. Most of the artworks are from local young artists.
Alicia T — Google review
The place is cosy and beautiful. However, the food is mediocre at best. I ordered salted egg waffle and coffee coke. The waffle is okay, but the only thing I tasted is the coconut ice-cream. The salted egg flavour is so minuscule that the ice-cream overpowered it. Also, my coffee coke smelled like someone's spit. I would have given this cafe at least three stars if not for the not-so-friendly staff. Is it so hard to say welcome or thank you? I wouldn't mind those pleasantries IF this cafe is some random cheap eateries but for a cafe that is somewhat expensive, I do expect some kind of hospitality from the staff.

Jaman Tory Resepi is a must-visit for those seeking authentic traditional recipes and a unique dining experience surrounded by vintage decor. Locals rave about their famous dishes like patin bakar tempoyak, daging salai masak lemak, char kuey teow, and their flaming cheese fried rice. For the adventurous, fusion dishes like sauteed spaghetti with patin and smoked beef ribs are also available.
Must try if you stop by kuantan! We ordered two sets; one for the ayam puyuh, and another daging salai set. The others we would like to try individually so we ordered ala carte. Ikan patin tempoyak paehh and also its baby kailan ikan masin. Coffee is good here as well so highly recommended. Truly organised and waiting time is super short. Brought my father, mother, and aunt here to celebrate a combo bday. Worth every penny!

If you want pahang style kampung foods, this restaurant might be able to serve you! We came at dinner time. Exacty during maghrib prayer. The restaurant had put out a signage indicating that the service will be paused for a moment to give way for maghrib prayer that includes all the staffs. However the wait wasn’t too long. The foods came all at once. We ordered set for 6-8 people that includes a whole ikan patin. Honestly, the portion was great. We also add-on udang galah in which we choose to cook with sambal. The set also includes 2 jugs of beverages. Overall, our experience dining at jamantory was great. The fishes & shrimp tasted fresh. No fishy or muddy smell. The price was affordable.

If you want some authentic Pahang food, this is one of the place you should visit. It have varieties of food that you can try here. From Pais Tempoyak ikan patin to Ayam Kampung. If you don't eat ikan patin, there is also Beef Soup that you can try here. The taste is like a home cook but they make it mass produced. The food you eat here really taste like village home cook where not any place you could get it although they market it as home cook. The decorations and atmosphere is quite nice. The put an antics item all around the place where you will feel nostalgic. The table are also made from slab of wood. But you need to be prepared that this place usually pack with people. But don't worry the food will not take too long to arrive at your table. What I can say, you can enjoy Pahang food here without needing to go to many places just to eat other foods. The price is reasonable since they have a meal set or you can do a la carte.
Aiman I — Google review
A friend of ours recommended this place. The vegetables, as you can see, were swimming in a sauce as if it were soup. The fish we ordered was Patin, and thebsauce was rather sour. Even the coconut was very weird. Yellow on the outside, I think it was old, and the taste of it was off. We wanted to order prawns, squid, clams, and all were out of stock. Disappointed.
Sonila H — Google review
Food is good. But the environment or the small pot of plant need to look into. As we saw potential place for mosquitoes breeding spot. Told the staff, they did take action directly.

Will come back for the delicious patin masak tempoyak. The gravy is not too sweet and well balanced with a slightly more sour taste. The portion is huge for couple sharing and the price is cheaper than most other outlet selling the same dish.

My mom’s friend told us that if we’re in Kuantan, we should try Jaman Tory so that’s how we ended up here. And seriously, I get it now. The food was awesome! I had the ayam kampung goreng and it was so, so good, crispy on the outside yet still tender inside. So satisfying. Mak ordered the gulai ikan patin tempoyak, and it was so good we ended up ordering another one to take away and eat at the hotel later. I am not even a fan of patin or dishes like this, but this one was just too good. The flavour was perfect. Not too spicy, not too sour, not too sweet from the tempoyak. Just nicely balanced. Staff were super attentive, anything we asked for came quickly. The only downside was the parking, which can be a bit of a challenge

This cultural haven is dedicated to showcasing contemporary art, providing a platform for both local and regional artists to display their innovative works. Visitors can immerse themselves in an eclectic mix of paintings, sculptures, and installations that reflect Malaysia's rich artistic landscape.
The building have english classical structure, with white exterior. most couples took wedding pictures there. The ticket fee is only RM10 as there are only few showrooms available but the rate is expected to increase once the other showrooms finished their renovations. You can pay through cash or QR, There are plenty of parking space. Do note that break time starts from 12.30pm to 2.30pm, we arrived at 12.00pm but still was not allowed to enter. There's Luth cafe opposite of the museum where you can chill while waiting for the museum to open. If you have a baby, use baby carrier instead of stroller since there are stairs. We had a great experience here, there was not many people making it feel like a personal art gallery, every showroom have a seating space to take in the vibe. Worth it 👍🏻 kudos to the mgmt, just wish they add more pieces in the showroom

Remark for management – For the children’s art section, please consider adding their names. They deserve the credit!

We visited the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) and it was such a great experience! Everything was impressive, the exhibits, the atmosphere & the rooms were all comfortably air-conditioned. Totally worth the RM10 entrance fee. We spent around 1–2 hours exploring the museum and there was so much to see. It’s definitely a must-visit spot for art lovers! MOCA showcases a wide range of contemporary artworks from local and international artists. You’ll find paintings, sculptures, mixed media pieces, and digital art that reflect modern themes; from personal identity and social issues to cultural heritage and abstract concepts. The museum is designed to make you think, feel and sometimes even interact with the art. Each room offers a different vibe and story, making the visit a truly inspiring journey through today’s artistic landscape.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting to encounter such a pretty museum here in Kuantan. Heck, I was throughly waiting to be disappointed at first, especially since I used to visit Muzium Negara over at Kuala Lumpur last year but surprisingly, this one stacked up pretty well, particularly with the incredible vibe that was offered in the middle building. Also enjoyed the amazingly crafted greenery there, and I was extremely taken aback (in a good way) upon visiting the library. The place was so comfortable that I don't feel like leaving at all. Thanks a lot for the amazing maintenance you guys had done. I think the cost of Rm10 per adult is clearly worth it.
Arisa — Google review
I truly appreciate the warm hospitality from Mr Amirul and the older staff member who welcomed me so kindly. Their service was excellent. I arrived around 12 noon and was informed that the museum would be closing for a break from 1 to 2 pm, so I managed to explore one section out of three. After 3 pm I came back using the same ticket to visit the other 2 museums. During the break, I dropped by Luth Café next door for some tasty coffee and pie, then headed to the nearby mosque for Friday prayers, where they were also selling local snacks and handicrafts (do dress modestly.. no shorts or exposed shoulders). The museum itself is definitely worth a visit. I just wish there were more descriptions provided for the beautiful traditional clothing and contemporary art pieces. Kutubkhanah Diraja Pahang (The Royal Library) was closed on the Sunday I visited, so I didn’t get the chance to go inside. I really appreciate that they featured fashion designs and drawings by local children artists, especially those that highlight the beauty of Borneo. It’s rare to see these showcased, and I was glad to see artwork of Dayak and Kadazan being given space and recognition. If you're looking for a place with more historical artifacts, you might prefer the one in Pekan, Pahang. But for those wanting a stylish and Instagrammable experience, this spot is perfect for solo visitors, couples, or small families.

This used to be our old courthouse in the 1990's and now has been turned into a museum. Came here to walk down those old familiar corridors where I used to wait for my case to be called. Its a nicer and better place now, but the old memories still lives on

Natural Batik Village, situated near Balok Beach, is a popular destination for both local and international tourists seeking to explore the traditional art of batik. The village offers visitors the opportunity to try their hand at batik painting and create their own designs at a show factory. Additionally, it serves as an outlet shop for various batik manufacturers, showcasing a wide range of products including t-shirts, sarongs, scarfs, shorts, skirts, and ties.
If you're looking for an indoor leisurely activity to bide your time in Kuantan then this is an idea! Choose from a variety of batik art painting options or tie-dyeing - let your creativity go wild! Once done, you can pop in to the store to pick up more ready made batik wear. Friendly service. Do take note though that your art would need time to be processed so depending on what you had chosen, you might need to have them delivered to you later. Alternatively do this on the way to your island destination and then pick up your art piece on the way back.

Fun activity to do with family and friends, have large parking area. Inside there are many souvenirs, clothes for men and women, baju kelawar too but note that they are overpriced. It is kind of dusty inside and warm too. For me the batik colouring is the main attraction located on the side of the building, an open air area equipped with fans but still hot, you can choose the size and design of batik canvas as low as RM15 then they will provide batik colouring. We spend almost 2 hours there, up to your colouring technique. I prefer to take time to mix the colours to get the shade that I want. There are also shirts colouring and other activities.

Natural Batik Village is a must-visit, especially if you have kids. For just RM15, the batik painting activity is totally worth it. My 6-year-old was able to spend hours painting, learning to be creative and mix colors. The staff are friendly and helpful, and parking is super easy. It's a great, hands-on activity that both you and your children will enjoy. Besides the painting, they also have a good variety of souvenirs like keychains and fridge magnets. You can also find some beautiful batik clothing, from elegant baju kebaya to comfy baju kelawar. Just a heads-up, the prices for these are a little on the expensive side. Oh, and they also sell coffee, which is a nice bonus!

A Cultural Gem in Kuantan – Hands-On Batik Experience at Natural Batik Village I visited Natural Batik Village located in Balok, Kuantan, Pahang, and it was a truly enriching and enjoyable experience! The location is spacious and wheelchair accessible, making it suitable for visitors of all ages and mobility levels. I had the chance to observe how Pahang-style batik (block printing) is traditionally made. The staff were friendly and welcoming — they explained the batik-making process in detail, which made the experience even more meaningful. After that, I explored the retail section where they sell a wide variety of batik fabrics, as well as batik clothing for men, women, and children, in many beautiful designs and patterns. Pahang batik has its own unique style, distinctly different from the batik found in Kelantan or Terengganu, which makes it special and worth discovering. One of the highlights was the DIY batik painting area outside, where visitors can colour their own batik block art and bring it home. This is a fun and creative activity, perfect for families or school groups. Overall, Natural Batik Village is a must-visit destination in Kuantan for anyone interested in Malaysian culture, traditional arts, or just looking for a meaningful souvenir.

We visited Natural Batik Village this morning. Unfortunately, no one greeted us or said welcome when we arrived, so it was quite confusing to figure out where to do the batik painting. We had to ask at the counter before anyone explained it to us. The staff didn’t seem friendly or welcoming, even those outside. There were no clear instructions, so the whole experience at the beginning felt awkward. That said, we still had fun doing the batik painting together; RM15 per adult. Overall, it was okay and we were happy in the end. But we really hope you’ll improve the system so customers don’t feel confused or unwelcomed.
Haura L — Google review
the place is good however i think they can make more great designs on the painting activity. its mostly limited to kids kind of drawing (understand it actually a kids activity to do) but it also can be a cute adult couple activity! the staffs can be a bit friendlier please

Great place showcasing and selling a wide variety of batik products, although they are somewhat expensive (as batik usually are). They also have batik painting section where you can try painting your own piece of batik from a selection of premade designs.

Pantai Kempadang in Kuantan is a serene and undeveloped beach located on the southern outskirts of town. It offers stunning views stretching all the way to Teluk Chempedak's cape, making it a popular spot for locals seeking a peaceful getaway. The beach features camping facilities with affordable shower and toilet amenities, making it convenient for overnight stays.
It's actually prettier than the photos 🥲 Would love to go back here for a short gateway ✨ I don't recommend if you want to come here without your own vehicle, because its so hard to find a grab huhu. There are plenty guest houses nearby btw.
Yudita H — Google review
This place looks much better and more lively than it used to be back when I'd actively venture this far. Many street vendors lined the road, which is alright since they aren't obstructive to traffic. Plus, there's a new lookout tower here now that wasn't there the last time I visited, and the road are far better maintained than ever. Could've used more shelter for bystanders however, because customers can hang out longer in the area that way.

There was a kite festival when we visited, so there were many people over there. The beach is very long and clean. Public huts along the beach are free for use, first come first serve. There are also a surau, public toilet for bathing too. Great place for a family picnic and the kids can swim about as the water is shallow. The beach is quite flat. Anyway adults should be around to supervise. Sunrise is marvellous!

Mosque
The Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Mosque is a stunning masterpiece of Islamic artistry, with intricate designs and majestic domes that make it more than just a place of worship. Visitors often find a sense of peace within its spacious and well-designed interior. The mosque is known for being packed during Friday prayers and Ramadan, with the committee organizing various activities during the holy month. It also offers a comfortable and clean environment, equipped with air conditioning, making it an ideal place to rest and pray.
After returning from our Rainbow Waterfall expedition, we woke up early the next morning and walked from our hotel, BCIC Lodge, to the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Mosque (SHAS Mosque) at IIUM. The cool air of dawn still lingered, and the golden dome of the mosque glowed faintly against the first light of Subuh, a sight that immediately lifted our spirits. Stepping into the mosque, we were welcomed by its vast and peaceful prayer hall. The patterned carpets stretched endlessly, guiding each row of worshippers into alignment. High white columns soared upwards, holding arches that framed the mihrab and minbar with elegant calligraphy. Overhead, the dome sat like a crown, encircled by Qur’anic verses, while the quiet hum of large ceiling fans stirred the still air. It was serene yet majestic, a perfect balance for the heart at dawn. Performing Subuh here after a day of trekking felt like a gentle reset — as though the physical exhaustion of the waterfall climb was washed away by the tranquility of prayer. The rows of students, locals, and fellow travelers side by side created a sense of brotherhood that reminded us how a mosque is more than a building — it is a living heart of the community. As we walked out, passing the ablution pavilion and community corner with zakat and charity shelves, it became clear how much this mosque serves not just as a place of worship, but as a center of service and connection. Its location in the middle of IIUM’s campus, yet within walking distance from where we stayed, made it both accessible and deeply memorable. Visiting SHAS Mosque after such an adventurous journey felt like closing one chapter and opening another — one of calm reflection, gratitude, and renewed energy for the days ahead.

A spacious and impressive mosque featuring excellent ventilation with large fans, ensuring a comfortable environment. The facilities are well-maintained, with numerous ablution stations and clean restrooms, providing convenience for worshippers. But the downside was the scenery not well used as tourists attractions

As a student in IIUM Kuantan campus, I always go to this mosque to pray. It was really conducive, spacious and a very nice place to do prayers and other activities. On Jumaat prayer, this mosque was always packed with people especially during term period. Another time when it was fully packed was during Ramadhan, where the committee members of the mosque planned many activities to celebrate the holy month. During Ramadhan also, they provide foods for iftar with limited pax, and foods for sahur were provided on the last 10 days of Ramadhan. On usual days, they also provide iftar for those who were doing the sunnah fasting on Monday and Thursday, also with limited pax. Many other activities were prepared by the committees, and the mosque didn't function as a place for praying only. I am grateful to be a student here. I hope that the other students can come to enrich this mosque while they were still studying in this campus.

We loved this typical village, far from the tourist circuits. We were admirably well received by a family of Chinese origin, owner of a café. We shared an unforgettable afternoon.

We choose all kedai makan tepi laut.. Dinner at Pak Su seafood (halal), Kopi Mesin cafe.. Lunch at Pok Awang celup tepung 👍near nelayan boat, The Mint cafe (favourite cafe) dah tutup terus (buang masa tunggu 2 jam) 😤 so we went to De Rhu hotel while bring my 3 children to the hotel pool theme park (thumbs up to the life guard really good).. I give 4 stars for beserah beach coz there are not much of sea shells anymore 😢.. And pls up grade tourist area.. More clean local food, western food, theme cafe near the beach.. On my second evening at Pantai Pelindung, I set out to find the stunning Giant Turtle mural. The weather was delightful as I arrived, with a gentle breeze accompanying the sunset behind the mountains. This impressive landmark is not only a striking representation of beach life but also an ideal backdrop for memorable photos. The sculpture itself is enormous and intricately designed, drawing in both locals and visitors alike.
This white sandy beach hide a gigantic turtle! I believe this place isn’t officially open as there’s no amenities provided by local city council. There’s few stall before heading up to the turtle. Visitors can also sit on the rocks or drifted log by the beach. Mind you, there’s few shaded area-or get ready to burn the skin to crisp during sunny day.
Schzwan 9 — Google review
When I visited Penyu Gergasi at Pantai Tanjung Pelindung in Kuantan, I was honestly stunned—it was so much bigger than I expected. The mural looks almost alive, blending so well with the rocks that for a moment you’d think a real giant turtle had washed up on the beach. It’s an incredible piece of art, and seeing it in person is way more impressive than in photos. The whole area has such a relaxing vibe. There are lots of rocks to climb onto where you can just sit, chill, and enjoy the sea breeze while listening to the sound of waves crashing in. The scenery is really beautiful, especially if you’re into photography—the mural itself is obviously a great backdrop, but the coastline and views around it make for stunning pictures too. What I liked most was the atmosphere. The sand here is fine and soft, the water looks clean, and the winds are cooling, so it feels like a perfect spot to just unwind for a while. There are also some small food stalls around, which adds to the experience—you can grab a snack or a drink and spend more time soaking in the surroundings. Overall, Penyu Gergasi isn’t just a mural—it’s a whole vibe. The combination of impressive art, natural scenery, and a chill seaside atmosphere makes it a great place to visit, whether you just want to relax, take photos, or enjoy a peaceful moment by the ocean.

The Giant Turtle at Pantai Pelindung is truly a breathtaking landmark! 🐢🌊 It beautifully represents the spirit of the beach and is a perfect spot for photos. The sculpture is massive, detailed, and very well crafted — a real attraction for both locals and tourists. The surrounding beach is calm and peaceful, making it a great place to relax, enjoy the sea breeze, and appreciate nature. This spot is not just about the giant turtle but also about the atmosphere — clean, refreshing, and welcoming. A must-visit if you’re in Kuantan. Perfect for families, friends, or anyone who loves the ocean and its majestic creatures. 🌴☀️📸

Nice wind up there, beaches and rocks with sea turtle painting artwork... Is beautiful and good for picnic places, bring your goods but there are no shower places and toilets ... Unless you have to walk a bit of distance to nearby park, then you can get toilet and café.

We reach around 5.25pm, no sunset today, but the sand when we walk in were very soft and thick, it was very difficult to walk on it. The beach was very wide with beautiful stones and waves ! The giant Stone turtle is very big ! You will enjoy walking along the beach and the fresh air here.

We came back to visit the giant turtle, after our exhillarating experience with the Baby Turtle Release program. And this time, we even went for a swim in the sea. I was so glad we did it, as it turned out to be very refreshing and cooling. The weather was also very kind to us today... The giant turtle is a natural rock formation, but the artist painted the face of the turtle on the rock, and voila!!!! Now we have a major tourist attraction!!!

Don't use the left to pantai lane as it will lead to wrong destination, should go left to the task direction and park at road side, else your vehicle will sink in sand area....the rubbish is along the beach, shame on people camping there and not clean up after use. No public facilities like toilets and also only few stalls sell drinks. Nothing much to see ...

We came around 6pm+. Paid for parking using TnG. There are McDonald's, KFC, and Starbucks by the beach. There was a boardwalk trail, but it is now closed due to safety reasons. Lots of monkeys there. Be wary of them, as one of the monkeys snatched away McDonald's ice-cream from my Mum. Other than the monkeys, this is a very nice beach, picturesque and reasonably clean.

Beautiful beach with a nice view. many people were enjoying bubble toys and modern kites. The beach is clean and scenic. This photo was taken around 6 PM. Nearby, you’ll find McDonald’s, Starbucks, and KFC, making it a convenient spot for relaxing, family gatherings, and snapping some great photos.

A quiet beach with a peaceful vibe, but don’t expect too much. The area is still quite underdeveloped with minimal facilities. Some parts are clean, but there’s also visible litter in certain spots. Nice for a short stroll, sunset view or a picnic if you don’t mind the simplicity. Not really a swimming beach, more of a scenic chill spot. Could be a gem if properly maintained.

the beach was very well maintained. It was safe and clean to take a deep. But maybe I went on a random weekend, school and long holiday will be packed.

The most clean and beautiful beach that I've ever been. Everything just look so perfect and beautiful. The trail that lead to this beautiful sandy beach that were hidden away has a scenery that will take ur breath away

Nice beach with nice sand. Quite picturesque. However it can get crowded during weekends and public holidays. Spend time to take a walk, chill in Starbucks or McDonald’s. Next to Hyatt.

It's a little away from town center but very popular place in Kuantan. Beautiful white sandy beach. There is a parking lot. Mc Donald's, starbucks are area facing. There is a family mart nearby.

Tak perlu pergi jauh untuk menghayati view cantek, dalam malaysia ada banyak hidden germ yang boleh cari and duduk hayati. I suggest to drive and find it, like how I keep come back here. Drive from KL around 4 or 5 am and arrive just nice around before 9am for you tuk cari breakfast at PEKAN and then come here to admire the view and you will find peace all of the stress from big city.

A fabulous bay like beach where the waters is calm, waves are not very strong and the scenery is great. Water is clean and great for swimming. The whole beach stretches long and wide and one end is a beautiful estuary with the Cherating river

The golden sand of the beach is great. Clean beach with calm water. Club Med is just beside.

We loved it here, didn’t regret coming, look at my videos! Visited on a Saturday after 5pm

Fun to explore the beach during low tide. Many marine life. Sad to see trash discarded at the beach intentionally. Parents should ensure no plastic toys left behind and discard the toy packaging in the bin. Some of the trash include plastic disposable cups and plastic spoons for ice-cream. Let's do our part to keep our beach clean. And also please leave the marine life alone. Do not tease them and throw them in the air.

Best clean stretch of Sandy beach to call your own.

We went on March, windy, clear blue sky and of course sunny beach. No rain during our visit, which was good, our girls and ourselves love it so much. I had a sunrise run along the beach. Nice and rejuvenating.

Lovely beaches, with beach bars and restaurants, turtle sanctuary, Hafizs Tours, just remember to take some cash with you as there is no ATMS, and only accept cash
Travelling W — Google review
Very long and nice beach. There are many resorts/villas/bungalows around. All the restaurants are near and all the shops are selling batik products. 😊 Don't miss out the Don't Tell Mama Ecobar😉

Good place but can be better. Built in 2 storey shop lot this 3d art gallery is no different with the others of its kind. The art is quite similar too anywhere else. But, with a few arts that shows the mines of Sungai Lembing is quite interesting. We got discount on the ticket - RM10.
Naain L — Google review
Clean, calm, sceneric, peaceful ,historical place and enjoyable experience too!

Entrance fee (15 March 2019) - Adult: RM16.00 - Child (height below 130cm): RM12.00 - Child 2 years old and below: Free Open 9 am to 6pm daily There are two 3D galleries in Sungai Lembing. The other one is "Old City 3D Trick Art Gallery" located along the main road about 80 metres south of the Country View Inn / food court.
William W — Google review
The paintings is ok and lot of it available and up to you to take photo. The location is a little bit hidden and the parking is not that many. The disadvantage maybe on the fee itself. RM16 per adult is too much.
Nordin K — Google review
It really great here.. Eventhough it's not like an giant gallery emporium, you still can make a really good memories
Ainulhayat — Google review
Great place to take photo. You can spend your time there and think whatever creative poses you like with 3D paint.
