The All Souls' Church, also known as the Kanpur Memorial Church, is a stunning red-brick Gothic masterpiece built in 1875 to honor British individuals who perished during the Siege of Cawnpore in 1857. This octagonal church showcases Lombardic Gothic architecture and features a Memorial Garden with an angel sculpture symbolizing the 'spirit of Resurrection'.
Such a beautiful and well maintained Church tucked away in the Kanpur Cantonment neighborhood. I am a fan of gothic architecture, so really appreciated the exterior as well as the stained glass windows inside. The entire neighborhood is relatively quiet, so it's one of the few places where you can pause to hear a motley of nature sounds. Even the large tree (I think it's a banyan) near the entrance looks majestic.
Harshita D — Google review
If you want access - go between 9 to 11 on Sunday mornings. Carry an identity card as the church is enclosed within a defence area. The church is well preserved but is a functioning religious place - do not click photographs inside or step in without permission.

All Souls' Cathedral, also known as the Kanpur Memorial Church, is a historical Anglican church in Kanpur, India. It was built in 1875 in the Lombardic Gothic style to commemorate the British soldiers who died during the Siege of Cawnpore in 1857. Kanpur Memorial Church: Get the Detail of Kanpur Memorial ... Kanpur Memorial Church, Kanpur - Timings, History ... 📍All Souls' Church ⛪️ Kanpur . Follow for more ... Kanpur Memorial Church Highlights Architecture: Designed by architect Walter Granville, the church is a red-brick edifice with a cruciform shape and a bell tower topped with a spire. It features a large rose window on its facade. Memorial Garden: Located to the east of the church is a memorial garden featuring a carved Gothic screen. The screen was originally at the site of the "Memorial Well" where British women and children were buried after the massacre. Angel sculpture: At the center of the garden is a figure of an angel, with crossed arms symbolizing peace, which was sculpted by Baron Carlo Marochetti. Visiting the church Location: The church is situated on Albert Lane in the Kanpur Cantonment area. Visiting hours: The church is a functioning religious place and is only open to the public on Sundays during mass. Visitors should carry an identity card as the church is within a defense area. Interesting fact After India gained independence, the Gothic screen at the Memorial Well was moved to the churchyard of All Souls' Cathedral. One of the best architecture of northern India. This needs maintenance & upkeep. It has a vast piece of land and may be developed as a famous christian place of worship and tourist spot.
Bholaram S — Google review
As you walk through the church, the calm and peaceful atmosphere is almost palpable. The well-maintained interior, with its wooden pews and polished floors, adds to the sense of reverence and tranquility. The memorial tablets and plaques offer a somber reminder of the church’s origins, paying homage to the soldiers and civilians who perished during the revolt. One of the most moving parts of the visit is the Memorial Garden, located adjacent to the church. This garden features the "Memorial Well," a significant site where many British women and children were buried after the massacre. The beautifully landscaped garden provides a space for reflection and remembrance, making it a poignant conclusion to the visit. The church’s location in Kanpur makes it easily accessible, and it’s a relatively quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle of the city, offering a peaceful retreat for visitors. The staff and caretakers are friendly and knowledgeable, often sharing historical anecdotes and information that enrich the experience.

The Kanpur Memorial Church, originally known as the All Souls' Church, is a church located in Kanpur, India that belongs to the Church of North India, a united Protestant denomination. It was built in 1875 in honour of British valour during the Siege of Cawnpore in 1857.
Rahul K — Google review
This Church is located inside a private property and so not open during weekdays. It is only open during Sunday mass (9-11am). During the mass and prayers, outsiders who just come to visit and not actually spend 2 hours inside cannot enter the church during this time. One can view from outside ofcourse. The place holds its earlier beauty and serenity along with memories.

Arpit — Google review
Moti Jheel, often referred to as the 'Lungs of Kanpur,' is a beloved urban oasis providing a much-needed escape from the city's commotion. Originally a British-era water reservoir, this picturesque spot has been successfully transformed into a popular recreational park featuring tranquil waters, lush manicured lawns, and well-maintained walking paths that make it a favorite for morning walkers, joggers, and families. The atmosphere is generally serene, and visitors praise its scenic beauty, with boating facilities on the lake being a major attraction for children and couples. The adjacent Kargil Park and children's play area with a toy train enhance its appeal as a family destination. However, the experience is not without criticism; several reviews mention that while the overall setting is beautiful, there is a recurring issue with the lake water being dirty and a lack of maintenance for some amenities like broken slides, indicating that improvements in upkeep are necessary to consistently match its reputation as a premier city landmark. Despite these minor drawbacks, it remains a cherished spot for picnics, relaxation, and a peaceful commune with nature.
Paras G — Google review
Moti Jheel in Kanpur is a hidden oasis in the heart of the city, and my recent visit left me thoroughly impressed with its serene beauty and recreational offerings. The centerpiece of Moti Jheel is, of course, the picturesque lake itself. It's a sprawling body of water surrounded by lush greenery, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life. The sight of the calm waters and the gentle ripples is a refreshing change of pace. One of the highlights of the area is the well-maintained walking paths and parks that line the lake. These provide an excellent opportunity for a leisurely stroll or a jog while enjoying the scenic views. Families can often be seen picnicking on the grassy areas, making it a perfect spot for a day out. Moti Jheel is also home to a variety of bird species, making it a birdwatcher's paradise. The presence of migratory birds during the winter months adds to its charm. It's a place where nature enthusiasts can connect with the avian world in a tranquil setting. The recent efforts to improve the amenities around the lake, such as the addition of seating areas, boating facilities, and a well-maintained promenade, have enhanced the overall experience for visitors. One aspect that could be further improved is cleanliness. While the lake itself is generally clean, the surrounding areas could benefit from more regular maintenance to ensure that it remains an inviting destination for all. In conclusion, Moti Jheel in Kanpur is a serene and refreshing escape within the city. Its natural beauty, recreational opportunities, and birdwatching potential make it a worthwhile destination for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful retreat. With continued efforts to maintain and improve the surroundings, it has the potential to become an even more beloved spot for both locals and tourists.

This hidden gem in Kanpur, dedicated to the eighth Tirthankara, Dharmanath, is an unparalleled fusion of faith and exquisite glass craftsmanship. As you approach the temple, the vibrant exterior catches your eye immediately. The building shimmers under the sun, a dazzling mosaic of colorful glass pieces that promise a visual feast inside. This anticipation builds as you step through the entrance.Inside, the temple is a symphony of light and color. The walls, ceilings, and even pillars are adorned with intricate glass inlays and mirror work, creating a space where every surface tells a story. The glasswork is not just decorative; it’s deeply symbolic, illustrating scenes from Jain scriptures, celestial beings, and motifs that embody Jain philosophy. The interplay of light on these glass surfaces creates an ethereal glow, making the space feel almost magical.

The retreat also incorporates a series of canals, where tourists can indulge in leisurely boat rides with beautiful greenery on either side. Nestled in the serene surroundings of Nawabganj, just a short drive from Kanpur city, the Kanpur Zoological Park, also known as Allen Forest Zoo, is a delightful destination for families and wildlife enthusiasts alike. Established in 1971 by Sir Allen, this expansive zoo is set within a lush man-made forest that boasts vibrant vegetation and a picturesque lake.
One can see more than 100 species from majestic bengal tigers, rare white tigers, leopards, rhinos, and around 35 bird species.

** Kanpur Zoological Park ** Rating: ★★★★☆ I recently visited Kanpur Zoological Park, and overall, it was a great experience, though there are a few areas that could use improvement. The park is massive and offers a fantastic variety of animals. You can find many species, such as the Royal Bengal Tiger, Crocodile, Wolf, Rhinoceros, Himalayan Polar Bear, Leopard, and more. There are also 25-35 species of birds, including the vibrant Macau, Peacock, White Pelican, Goose, and various types of monkeys. The wildlife diversity is impressive, and the large green spaces make it a pleasant place to explore. It's a lovely spot to spend a few hours with family or friends. However, I did have an issue with the food stalls inside the zoo. While it’s understandable that prices may be a bit higher due to the location, it felt like they were taking advantage of visitors. For instance, a cold drink priced at ₹40 is being sold for ₹50, which is quite a markup. Other items were similarly overpriced, which left a bad taste after an otherwise enjoyable visit. Another area that needs attention is the cleanliness of the water storage areas, like the ponds. Some of them seemed to have stagnant water, and a little more care in maintaining these spots would improve the overall experience. Despite these minor issues, the zoo offers an amazing variety of animals and a beautiful, expansive space to enjoy nature. With some improvements to food pricing and cleanliness, this could easily be a five-star experience. Would definitely recommend visiting, but be prepared for the overcharging at the food stalls!

It's gonna be fun place for kids for adults really not , half the park was empty no lion no tiger no snakes lot more were jst empty cages. Still can be nice place for 1 day picnic. Improved a lot. Just need more variety of Species of Animals. Giraffe , Elephant , Gorilla will make Zoo Interesting And other Animals Which are rare. And More Rhino, And Labeling shud be done more specifically on some birds and animals.

Recent refurbishments and commitment to eco-friendly operations enhance its appeal. Most visitors leave impressed—especially those seeking a relaxed, green escape within Kanpur. The Kanpur Zoological Park, famously known as the Allen Forest Zoo, is a wonderful and sprawling sanctuary that offers a refreshing escape into nature within the city limits. As one of the few zoos in India established within a natural forest, it spans over 76 hectares, providing a lush, green environment that feels more like a wildlife reserve. The zoo is managed on modern principles, featuring large, open, and moated enclosures that give the animals ample space and a more natural habitat, which is a commendable effort for animal welfare. Visitors can observe a diverse range of fauna, including the Royal Bengal Tiger, leopards, hippos, a variety of deer, and numerous species of birds and reptiles. Beyond the animal exhibits, the park is a destination in itself. It features a large, scenic lake with boating facilities, a rich botanical garden, and a popular toy train ride, making it an ideal spot for a full-day family outing. The presence of a dinosaur park and an aquarium adds to the appeal for children.

Kanpur Sangrahalaya / Kanpur Museum is the official museum in Kanpur, the industrial hub of Uttar Pradesh, India. It was built by the British as King Edward Memorial Hall in honour of Edward VII. Kanpur Mueseum or Kanpur Sangrahalaya is the official state museum in Kanpur, the industrial hub of Uttar Pradesh. It was built by the British as King Edward Memorial Hall in honour of Edward VII. It is a storehouse of artifacts and exhibits that tell the story of the events and people who have influenced the making of the city, and reveals many interesting details about the historical past of the city. The Kanpur museum is located in the central area of Kanpur District and is close to Kanpur Central railway station, LIC Building and Nana Rao Park. Kanpur was known as the Manchester of Asia, in the British colonial period. Being the biggest among the Cities in Uttar Pradesh, Kanpur holds a significant position in the political, religious, social, and cultural history of India. The funds for the King Edward Memorial Hall were collected from European traders settled in Kanpur and Indian merchants. When World War I broke out, construction on the hall was interrupted and the hall was used to house wounded British soldiers. After the war, KEM Hall was an orthopedic rehabilitation hospital and became Harcourt Butler Technological Institute in 1920. Construction of the hall was completed after WWI in 1918. It was used by European settlers for cultural activities, and occasionally it was rented to rich Indian merchants for marriage ceremonies. After independence in 1947, KEM Hall was renamed as Gandhi Bhawan. Gandhi Bhawan now houses a municipal library and the Kanpur Sangrahalaya Museum. The museum was established in 1999, and is located in Phool Bagh Ground at the intersection of Mall Road and the Kanpur-Lucknow Road. The museum's collection includes an old colonial period artillery gun. It has a rare collection of ancient and historical artifacts - Artifacts are stored very carefully are the major source of historical information.

Ground floor was for women dressing and beauty related products .There were also some photo clicking area . 2. First floor was for men and childrens clothings , mobiles and other machineries and gadgets ( washing machine , refrigerator , laptops etc) Some of the prestigious brand were their like samsung , oppo , vivo , apple , hp , lenovo , moto 3. Second floors was for mainly food area you can find there Macdonald, KFC , Pizza hut , Domino's, Burger king , Taco bell , Starbucks , and other local brands and there was little aquarium type thing . 4 . and the third and last floor was for gaming area like you can play simulated cricket , arcades with classic and video games, VR experiences, escape rooms, and laser tag. These zones often include ticket redemption counters for prizes, soft play areas for younger children, and skill-based games,. Prices were high so could not play any of these . Overall experience was good

The JK Temple, formally known as Shri Radhakrishna Temple or Juggilal Kamlapat Temple, is a prominent Hindu temple in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, dedicated primarily to Lord Radha Krishna. It stands as a symbol of devotion and architectural innovation, blending ancient Hindu temple styles with modern construction techniques. Unlike many ancient temples, its history is relatively recent, rooted in post-independence philanthropy.Origins and ConstructionThe temple's story begins in 1953, when the Singhania family—prominent industrialists behind the JK Organisation (a conglomerate involved in cement, paper, and textiles)—established the JK Trust. This trust, formed to promote social welfare and religious causes, undertook the construction of the temple as a gift to the community. The project was supervised by the family and completed swiftly, with the temple opening to the public in 1960. It was inaugurated amid great fanfare, reflecting the family's commitment to Sanatan Dharma (eternal Hindu principles). The temple quickly became a landmark in Kanpur's Sarvodaya Nagar locality, on a triangular campus spanning several acres. By 2010, it celebrated its 50th anniversary with grand events, drawing thousands of devotees. Over the decades, it has evolved into one of northern India's largest temples, housing an ancient copy of the Vedas and serving as a hub for spiritual activities. Its growth mirrors Kanpur's post-colonial development as an industrial hub, where the Singhania family's enterprises played a key role in the city's economy.Architectural SignificanceWhat sets the JK Temple apart is its fusion of traditional and contemporary design:Ancient Influences: The central shrine features intricate stone carvings, a grand mandapa (hall), and a towering shikhara (spire) reminiscent of North Indian Nagara-style temples. The five shrines include the main one for Radha Krishna, flanked by idols of Lakshmi Narayan, Ardhanarishwar (Shiva-Parvati composite), Narmadeshwar (Shiva), and Hanuman. Modern Elements: Built with reinforced concrete for durability, it incorporates even-level roofs with ventilation systems for natural light and air circulation—innovations uncommon in older temples. The white marble facade, lush gardens, and nearby Moti Jheel lake create a serene, park-like setting amid the urban bustle. This hybrid approach made it a pioneering structure in mid-20th-century India, symbolizing progress while honoring tradition.Cultural and Religious RoleSince its inception, the temple has been a focal point for Krishna devotees. It hosts vibrant festivals, especially Janmashtami (Lord Krishna's birth in August), when the premises are illuminated with lights, decorations, and performances—transforming it into a "resplendent bridegroom." Other events include Holi and Diwali celebrations, with Vedic chants, aartis (ritual offerings), and musical fountains enhancing the experience. The temple's management by the JK Trust ensures strict security (CCTV, frisking, no photography inside) and accessibility, with no entry fee. It attracts locals for daily prayers and walkers for its green surroundings, fostering community harmony.

Very grand and beautiful temple made of marble and surrounded by greenery. It looks stunning from the outside and amazingly beautiful from the inside. Mobile phones and hand bags are not allowed inside the temple. Inner hall has very rich art walls and ceiling. It houses Lakshmi Narayan, Radha krishna, raam jaanki, shiva and hanuman deities. You feel peace and divinity here. Recommended 👍 👍 👍

There is a very good temple and at the same time there is a separate library where you can study the book and not too much can roam a little and the most special thing is that once a year, a very big fair is held once a year, it starts before the day of Janmashtami, that fair is the biggestA fair is held and at the same time all of you can worship or see Krishna ji.
Aditya M — Google review
JK Temple, also known as Radhakrishna Temple, is one of the most beautiful and spiritual landmarks in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Built by the JK Trust in 1953, this temple is a perfect blend of modern architecture and traditional Hindu temple design. Dedicated mainly to Lord Radha-Krishna, it also houses shrines for other deities like Lakshmi-Narayan, Ardhanarishwar, Narmadeshwar, and Hanuman Ji. The first thing that catches your attention is the temple’s stunning architecture. The tall white marble structure, surrounded by lush gardens and a peaceful pond, creates a serene and divine atmosphere. The symmetry and design of the temple are truly impressive — the central tower is the tallest, surrounded by smaller towers, giving it a majestic appearance. The entire complex is beautifully maintained, clean, and calm, making it a wonderful place for meditation and prayer. Inside the temple, the idols are beautifully decorated, and the peaceful chanting of hymns fills the air with spiritual energy. The evenings are particularly mesmerizing when the temple is lit up, reflecting off the surrounding water and creating a magical view. During festivals like Janmashtami and Diwali, the temple attracts huge crowds, with the entire area glowing with lights, devotion, and celebration. The temple is located in the Sarvodaya Nagar area and is easily accessible from any part of Kanpur. There are proper facilities for visitors, including shoe stands, drinking water, and seating areas. The atmosphere here is so calm that even people who are not very religious find peace and comfort. In short, JK Temple is not just a place of worship — it’s a symbol of faith, beauty, and harmony. Its spiritual aura, grand architecture, and tranquil surroundings make it one of the must-visit places in Kanpur for locals and tourists alike.

Naveen Market is often hyped as a budget-friendly place, but honestly, the prices are quite inflated—especially for what you’re getting. Despite the general belief that it's affordable, many shops clearly cater to the A-class crowd and charge accordingly. You’ll find decent stuff, yes, but don’t expect too many real bargains. It's more about the name and location than genuine value for money. Worth visiting for the vibe, but not ideal if you're actually trying to shop smart.

Despite many lounges coming up in our town over the last decade, Dhuaan still manages to keep them at bay when it comes to quality of food and finesse of the place is concerned. The only downside is no or very low network (mobile) there and not so great music. So if u want to forget the world and just immerse in some chit chat with friends or family, then this might be the place for you. Although inside cantt with hardly any public transport to reach there, it really is not for people who use public transport (quite a costly place to visit). Also, not to forget manager Kamath ji, who is an eversmiling person and gives good vibes. Edit after 4 years: kamath is dead and so is the courteous service of the place. Now it's only for the regular rich visitors. You can clearly feel the special service they get and the lack of attention to other customers. Also, the music is very drab now. Rest all remains good.

Anupam S — Google review
Went there with my friend to celebrate birthday. Ambience was good but I didn't like the taste of the food. I had ordered- Veg pizza, Dimsums and Tiramisu. The waiter didn't ask me about my preference on pizza base, I also forgot to tell him in advance. I got a thin crust pizza, the crust was thin like a tortilla, sauce and toppings were fresh. Didn't like the base. One dismum box has 6 pieces with 3 varieties. Two of them were very bad in in taste, I felt like it also had alcohol in it which I avoid. Tiramisu was just okay okay in taste but the presentation was very bad. Felt like they had just given us leftovers. Again Tiramisu had alcohol in it, neither the waiter told me this nor I asked. It was a mistake. Overall the quality of food was just ok ok. Didn't like the taste much. I would like to bring something in your notice, which is the reason for 3 stars. After we finished the meal and asked for the bill, the waiter gave us a handwritten (kaccha bill). Which just mentioned the food items and price in handwriting. At that time as I was in hurry I couldn't pay attention and my friend paid it. Later on, I realised that no GST, SGST was mentioned. I suspect, they did it to skip paying taxes but they charged the whole money from us. Means they got benefit of not paying taxes and keeping the money with tax and we had to pay it all. Our bill was (without tax) - For Garden Vegetable Pizza- Rs450 Four seasons vegetable dumplings - Rs475 Classic Tiramisu - Rs400 One Vedica bottle water 1 ltr- Rs 60 Total= Rs1385 We were charged Rs 1550. So you can clearly see they took taxes from us but gave us handwritten bill. Clearly to avoid taxes. This method also lacks transparency as I can't know how much I paid for which item.

Sacred & Religious Sites
Nestled just three kilometers from the Bhitargaon development block in Kanpur district, the Shree Jagannath Temple is a captivating site steeped in mystery and spirituality. Often referred to as the "Rain Temple" or "Monsoon Temple," this ancient structure has intrigued visitors with its unique phenomenon of dripping water from its roof even during dry spells.
The Hindu Mandirs are not simply religious places or worshipping structures or picnic spots. The mandirs were economic, social, welfare, educational, spiritual, scientific and the backbone of the society. This Jagannath Temple from Kanpur, is also known as Rain Temple' or 'Monsoon Temple and is more than hundreds of years old, it is said to have been renovated in 11th century.. Here, it is believed that the water droplets accumulated on the ceiling of Lord Jagannath temple predict, whether upcoming monsoon season would be good or bad. If the size of water droplets is big, it is believed that there will be good rainfall and if it is small, then drought may occur. It is believed that the prediction is not just a day or two in advance, in fact, it predicts the onset of monsoon a good fortnight in advance. The roof of the temple starts dripping 15 days before the start of the rainy season and it is the trickle that reveals the type of showers that should be expected.. A thin volume of the trickle indicates scanty rainfall, while a good volume indicates heavy showers. Thus, on the basis of the predictions, the farmers nearby put an estimate to their harvest accordingly.

Jagannath Temple, Kanpur Sometimes untouched paths lead us to a destination that mesmerizes us. This happened on 23/08/2025. We reached this place which is located in Benhta village which is 40 kilometers away from Kanpur city. There are several stories about this place such as 1. A square stone is placed on its roof, it is said that when water starts dripping from this stone then understand that the monsoon is about to arrive. 2. The walls of this temple are 7-8 feet wide. 3. This temple is said to be around 4000 years old, it is said that this is the real Jagannath Puri. Apart from this, we also felt a sense of peace and spiritual connection with this place.

Kanpur'sJagannath Temple gives pre-rain information Can you imagine a building whose roof starts dripping in the scorching sun that stops dripping from the roof This incident is shocking but true that there is a village about three kilometers away from the Bhitargaon Vikas Khand of Kanpur district, called the industrial city of Uttar Pradesh. Here is the secret of dripping water drops from the roof in the sun and closing the roof leak in the rain This event does not happen in any common building or building but in the very ancient temple of Lord Jagannath. The sound of rain becomes by dripping the roof Villagers say that six-seven days before the rains, water drops start dripping from the roof of the temple, not only that much, the size of the drops are dripping, it rains on the same basis. Now, people understand the message of dripping the roof of the temple and go out to plow the land. The surprising thing is that as soon as it starts raining, the roof gets completely dry from inside. Even scientists could not know the secret - About the ancientness of the temple and the mystery of the roof dripping, the priests of the temple explains that archaeological experts and scientists have come many times but have not been able to know its mystery. So far, it has been known that the work of the restoration of the temple is 11th. Done in the century The texture of the temple is like a Buddhist monastery. Its walls are 14 feet thick, which is estimated to be constructed during the reign of its emperor Ashoka. In the same way, after the peacock mark and chakra was built outside the temple, the chakravarti emperor Harshvardhan's tenure is also made. But its construction hasn't been guessed yet. This temple of Lord Jagannath is very ancient. In the temple, the black smooth stone statues of Lord Jagannath Baldau and Subhadra are present. There are also statues of Sun God and Padmanabham in the courtyard. Like Jagannath Puri, here also the locals take the journey of Lord Jagannath. People's faith is deeply connected with the temple, people keep coming to visit.

Visited the temple on Dussehra and was truly impressed. The entire place was spotless and beautifully organized, with thoughtful amenities like free shoe storage. The Ramayana performance was mesmerizing — from the powerful acting to the live music and devotional ambiance, everything felt divine. It’s one of those experiences that fill you with peace and joy, making you want to return again. A must-visit temple for anyone seeking spiritual upliftment and cultural richness.
Sunil K — Google review
JK Temple is my go-to spot for morning walks, whenever I visit. The calmness, the serenity, and the picture-perfect surroundings always make me feel refreshed. Evenings here are equally special, especially during the aarti when the whole atmosphere turns spiritual. That said, I would have given this place a solid 5 stars a few years back. But now, with the commercialization — stalls, fairs, and events inside the park — some of the natural charm has been lost. Still, it remains close to my heart whenever I visit Kanpur.
Ritu S — Google review
JK Temple just a day after Janmashtami, and the experience was amazing! The temple was beautifully decorated. The idols looked divine and the whole atmosphere was filled with devotion and festive vibes. The crowd was huge, but surprisingly well-managed inside the temple as the line system for darshan was smooth. There was also a Chaar Dham setup. The laser lighting show in the evening was magical and added so much charm. There were foodstalls and stalls of kanha clothes and dieties and all items relating to kanha.... The collection was super and at reasonable price. The only negative point I felt was about slippers. There wasn’t a proper safe place to keep them, so it was a bit inconvenient. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable visit. Perfect mix of spirituality, festive celebration, and good management. Not recommendable to those who don't like crowds as the crowd was at peak.

Kanpur Central Railway Station (CNB) - A bustling hub with convenient amenities! Cleanliness and organization are moderate, considering the heavy footfall. Navigation is easy, with clear signage and helpful staff. Food options are plentiful, with a range of stalls and restaurants. Platforms are well-maintained, with adequate seating and shade. A smooth transit experience overall.

Mikky House is a delightful destination for families and friends to spend quality time together. With various swings and rides, it offers a fun-filled experience for kids and adults alike. It's known as a peaceful place to wander around, featuring different types of swings suitable for both children and elders. Although there have been reports of its closure in recent years, it remains an attractive spot for those seeking leisurely enjoyment with loved ones.
Childhood memories here. Used to visit this park in 1997. There was a different kind of shine and glamour.

Guys this park has been closed and sealed since past 1 or 2 years. All rides are been sealed as spoke to watchman of Park he said its been only opened just few month back for public but again only as park not for any rides. This is been closed by Nagar Nigam as this public park was leased to private player for 30 years which has been over since been closed and not sure if it will be leased again or not.
Vikas R — Google review
Mikky House, situated in Kidwai Nagar, Kanpur, was once a prominent amusement park and a source of pride for South Kanpur. Established in 1991 through a collaboration between Delhi's South Enterprises and the Kanpur Nagar Nigam, it was designed to emulate Delhi's Appu Ghar, offering various attractions like Columbus, Mickey Umbrella, Baby Train, Family Train, Merry-Go-Round, Frog Ride, and Caterpillar. Initially, the park thrived, with entry tickets often selling out, reflecting its immense popularity. However, over time, its condition deteriorated due to mismanagement. The original 30-year lease agreement expired on June 30, 2021, and the lessee's request for renewal was denied by the Kanpur Nagar Nigam, citing violations of lease terms, including unauthorized use of the premises for wedding ceremonies instead of children's entertainment. Following the lease termination, the park was sealed by authorities. In March 2024, the High Court directed the Kanpur Nagar Nigam to clear the park of debris and develop it for public use. Subsequently, a committee was formed to oversee its redevelopment, aiming to restore Mikky House to its former glory as a recreational space for the community. Despite these efforts, as of August 2024, the park remained closed, with no operational rides, reflecting ongoing challenges in its restoration. So no reason to give stars

I haven’t personally been here but recently a friend got me Rawa laddus from here. Boy theirs is a tag line that could give the best creatives a run for their money! Look at the pictures below to know what I am saying. Coming back to their content, is it as good as their tag line? Well I think it’s safe to say it’s good. The packaging was good, considering it was brought to Mumbai from Kanpur. The laddus inside had a generous filling of dey fruits. The quality was good too. And size of each laddu just about right. Notice how I am using a past tense with reference to the product? Well that’s because it was over once unpacked. Thank you. Hope I can visit your store someday.

Since my childhood, way back in late eighties & early ninetees, I used to come four-four thirty in the morning and finish three rounds of the then constructed boundary of Palika Stadium which had a chess board made of a marbled tiled on one corner of it's viewing gallery. Had also played matches when it used to be open to all. The lower field of brijendra swarup park is now developed into parshuram vatika which's extremely good for walking and playing with Lil kids. The Benajhabar side park used to used to be used by car and scooty learners and also for Handicraft Expos but now metro construction is going on there, however an expo is also on simultaneously. All in all, it's a nice park, right in the centre of the city and accessible to all. Palika Stadium's building is being reconstructed and it's looking very contemporary & stylish. If I get an opportunity today, I'll click and upload few photos as well. Forgot to mention last time that this park has also been hosting the handicraft expo and many such fairs since ages and I visited one such today as well. Wonderful experience.

Blue World Theme Park in Kanpur is a vibrant destination that promises an exhilarating day for families and adventure enthusiasts alike. With its impressive array of water slides, thrilling roller coasters, and engaging games, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Visitors rave about the lively atmosphere and friendly staff who ensure a clean and safe environment throughout the park. While some guests have noted minor issues with food quality and certain attractions like the 7D show, these do not overshadow the overall excitement of the experience.
Good place if you are water ride lover. But the water there is very dirty filled with chlorine. And day by day they are increasing the price of the ticket. Better to search for any alternative.
Varsha C — Google review
Loved the water park it was very lively even though it was a weekday. The rides were awesome and very amusing. But the water was warm and not very pleasant as there was too much chlorine in it. The rides were very crowded and it may take upto 45mins for some rides. Overall could be done better if managed properly
Anand S — Google review
It's a water park as well as amusement park. More famous for its water park. Lots of slides and fun areas. Required cleaning at most places like shower rooms and locker area. Food served was good and hygienic. Water at wave area was smelling but it's problem of lack of civics sense in Indian public. Recommended for enjoyment.
Samreen S — Google review
Very vast campus from main gate entrance it looked like that we are in Rome , artistic building's then pool area was wonderful, but couldn't enjoy all ride due to lack of time . Rest there were many things to see and discover. Must visit it's worth it. Just make sure that you have enough time to enjoy there.
SANDEEP K — Google review
Not worth the hype at all. That too when I visited on Wednesday. First of all, there was no proper management of crowd. In water park section, most of the pools have dirty water. None of the pool had fresh normal temperature water, instead they have almost hot water. There was too much waiting on all major slides, almost 30 min+, and people very frequently try to join mid-line by saying I know this person that person. Similar situation was in amusement park. Waiting time of 30-45 min, literally no sunshade for waiting people, and the major rides started late at about 2 pm. Now talking about the fooding part, yeah it was unlimited food and that too of goof quality. But, welcome drink was a joke, just a ₹10 mango drink. Also, at that price of ticket, one would expect at least pickle or chutney on the side, but a big NO. Overall I would say the park was a overhyped average experience.
Gaurav R — Google review
Visted on Wednesday ticket price was 1000/- per person and it was full worth it... On 1000/- it includes water park, lunch and mostly all theme park rides and also waterpark costume was at reasonable price. Just 1 problem is that it's very crowded and you have to wait for 20-25min for every ride.
Satyam T — Google review
I found every kind of adventure in the blue world Theme.I bought Rs 1000 rs ticket and it was totally worth it ,I had enjoyed all day along swimming and experiencing everything present in the park .

Beat experience one of the best water & amusement park. In UP All over india best waterpark . Inside the don't accept online payment Water 🌊 park. This is drawback. Because no any one carry the cash 😔 in side the water Park. Water park 10/10 Amusement park 10/10 Food 8/10

Historical place
Brahmavart Ghat, located in the ancient town of Bithoor in Kanpur, is a sacred site with deep historical and religious significance. According to legend, it is believed that Hindu God Brahma once meditated here before creating the world. Devotees make offerings at a deep hole in the stone embankment and pour holy water from the Ganga river as an offering to Brahma.
You should probably visit the place to find out more about its significance. There's brahmavart mandir, dhruv maharaj ka tila, one very ancient shiv mandir and ofcourse the Ganga ji. 🙏🏻 Try visiting the shiv mandir for arti at 6.30 pm
Ravi K — Google review
This Ghat has a lot of spiritual and religious significance and lies along the banks of the Ganges river. Wish it was a bit cleaner and better maintained given the number of worshipers who visit this sacred site to pray!
Harshita D — Google review
Some places have a peaceful vibe which can't be explained in words, Brahmavart Ghat was something like that. Went to Kanpur for academic purpose and wanted to wander around and see some beautiful local sites then all of a sudden got to know about this beautiful place. Woke up at 4 a.m watched the sunrise here and the serenity is beyond any explanation. Loved every bit of my time. The exquisite architecture of the mandirs near the ghat transcended us to an older yet majestic era. Prayed in Mahakal mandir, did Puja and our morning was complete. Came back with our hearts full of peace and happiness. If you are going to Kanpur, this place is a must visit .
Disha M — Google review
Review of Brahmha Varta Ghat Brahmha Varta Ghat, situated in Bithoor on the banks of the holy river Ganga, holds immense religious, historical, and cultural significance. It is revered as one of the most sacred sites where devotees believe Lord Brahma performed yajña (sacred rituals) after the creation of the universe. The very name Brahmha Varta reflects its association with the divine act of creation and sanctity of the Vedic tradition. Religious Importance Pilgrims visit this ghat to take a dip in the Ganga, especially during auspicious occasions, as it is believed to purify the soul and remove past sins. The presence of ancient temples nearby, particularly the Brahmeshwar Mahadev temple, adds to the spiritual atmosphere. Rituals, yajñas, and offerings are regularly performed here, making it a vibrant center of Hindu devotion. Historical & Cultural Value Bithoor, and especially Brahmha Varta Ghat, has been mentioned in the Puranas and other scriptures. It is also associated with revered sages and saints who meditated along the banks of the river. In later history, Bithoor became a center of cultural and political activity, adding a layered richness to the ghat’s identity. Atmosphere & Experience The ghat offers a serene and sacred environment, especially in the early morning when the chants of mantras and the flow of the Ganga create a deeply spiritual ambiance. The stone steps leading into the river are often filled with pilgrims, yet the tranquility of the flowing water provides moments of personal reflection. Evenings are equally captivating, with lamps lit along the river creating a divine aura. Facilities & Accessibility Being a place of pilgrimage, basic facilities for bathing, rituals, and temple visits are available. However, as with many ancient ghats, infrastructural improvements in cleanliness, crowd management, and amenities could enhance the experience for visitors. Conclusion Brahmha Varta Ghat is not merely a physical location but a living testimony to India’s spiritual heritage. It offers a blend of mythological reverence, cultural depth, and personal peace. For those seeking a connection with the sacred history of the Ganga and the origins of creation lore, a visit to Brahmha Varta Ghat is both enlightening and soul-enriching. Here it requires cleanliness hygiene and proper way for entry exit government should take care of it

It depends on the time you are visiting and the season too. There is a bramha temple and shiv temple if you visit in the evening then you can experience Aarthi there the timing for summer is 6:30 pm and winter it is 5:30 pm. Boating is also available. But to reach there is no proper public transportation available.
Mrudula — Google review
While the town and vendors haggling is something not desired the boat ride along the ghats on River Ganga and the overall scenic views are to marvel. We had a good experience and hope someday people realize the true value of the places and make it more presentable by cleaning the approach. More organized and standardized Pujari rates and process etc.

Dhruv Teela, a small mound overlooking the Ganges near Brahmavrat Ghat, is believed to be the spot where Maharshi Dhruv meditated and received divine blessings. This location boasts two temples and offers a panoramic perspective of the river. Caution should be exercised near the precipice as it poses risks.
Very serene place. Dhruva temple seems to be a private property, whereas Hanuman temple is calm place for worship and meditation. There’s a Ram-Janaki temple also in vicinity. River Ganges flows majestically by side.

Positive reviews "Beautiful and serene place at banks of river Ganga, "Best historical place, "Quite place, "Good view of the Ganges River, and "Calm place for worship and meditation. Lack of proper maintenance in some temples. Dhruv Teela is a small mud hill on the banks of the Ganges River. It's the birthplace of Dhruv Maharaj, a devotee of Lord Vishnu.

Discover tranquility at one of the town’s hidden gems, where the serene Ganges enhances the peaceful ambiance. However, caution is advised during nighttime visits, as the location’s steep and hazardous terrain requires careful navigation.
Suyash S — Google review
This small mud hill overlooking the Ganges is located ahead of Brahmavrat Ghat is said to be the place where Maharshi Dhruv did penance and was blessed to be a star. It has two temples and offers a nice birds eye view of the River Ganges..Do not go near the cliff, it is dangerous.
Shweta — Google review
It can become a really cool cliff-jumping spot other than that nothing so great about this renowned place. It's just a small disappointing cliff with wild bushes all over. However if you're one of those, who get mesmerized by views, be there before sunrise.

Dhruv Teela is a temple situated at a small hill top of Bithoor. View from the place is very good. But temple is not well maintained. They should have to look into the maintenance of the temple.
