A good place to enjoy serenity of nature on a river bank. It has a huge 35 acres area, and has various activities being offered for children and grown ups. As of now, some construction is still going on and internal train lines are being built. But I believe it’ll finish soon, and would definitely recommend to check the place out.

Palampur, known as the Tea Capital of Northern India, boasts vast and stunning tea gardens that are a major attraction for visitors. The lush greenery and delightful aroma create a dreamlike atmosphere, offering a serene escape from city life. These expansive plantations not only provide breathtaking views but also offer an opportunity to witness the intricate process of tea cultivation. Palampur's tea gardens are a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the art of tea-making and seeks a tranquil natural retreat.

Mohit K — Google review
Fabulous 🫰 Palampur is primarily known for its lush tea gardens, earning it the title of the "Tea Capital of North India". It's also famous for its serene monasteries, such as the Tashi Jong Khampagar Monastery, and beautiful landscapes, particularly the views of the Dhauladhar range. Additionally, Palampur offers a blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and a peaceful atmosphere. Tea Gardens: Palampur's extensive tea plantations are a major draw, offering visitors a chance to explore and experience the tea-making process, like at the Palampur Cooperative Tea Factory. What is the history of tea garden in Palampur? The tea industry in Palampur has a rich legacy, dating back to the colonial era when the British introduced tea cultivation in the region. The tea estates were first conceived in India during the 19th century. These tea estates or gardens have only been a tea lover's paradise since that time.

The visit to tea gardens was wonderful. We got a tour of tea processing facility which belonged to Himalayan Brew and also undertook tea tasting there.
Abhineswar J — Google review
This is not a correct pin . There is a small private tea garden with Dak Bunglow and one small one called Bundela tea estate.. There is no tourist Palampur tea garden per se.where one can experience tea making process etc. We kept looking for a gate or ticket entry and realized that all the touristy experiential social media posts about palampur tea gardens are at Wah Tea Estate which is 20 mins away from this point

Park
Dhauladhar Park, also known as Gopalpur Zoo, is a captivating destination located just 13 kilometers from Palampur. Spanning an impressive 30 acres, this national park serves as a sanctuary for a variety of wildlife, including angora rabbits, black bears, leopards, and even the majestic Asiatic lions.
It is a really nice place to come for a walk or a jog.. There are slides and swings to keep the kids occupied too.. Only negative is the presence of monkeys in the park..

Sight view points are equipped with sitting arrangements..... children playing area has good activities to do....Some work seems to be completed.... Not fully fenced.....no proper drainage.... Garbage & tree leaves are not properly managed....
Aseem S — Google review
Dhauladhar Park, nestled near Nugal Chowk, Palampur, offers a picturesque setting surrounded by the majestic Dhauladhar mountain range and lush greenery. The serene ambiance makes it a perfect spot for nature enthusiasts seeking solace amidst breathtaking views. However, the park's maintenance leaves much to be desired. Despite its potential, the upkeep falls short, detracting from the overall experience. Upon entering the park, one can't help but notice the charming array of swings, slides, and other amusements designed to entertain children. These features add a playful touch to the natural beauty of the surroundings, attracting families and visitors alike. Unfortunately, the allure of the park is often marred by its overcrowdedness, primarily due to the presence of school student couples who seek seclusion in the corners of the parking lot, away from prying eyes. While the park offers a sanctuary for relaxation and recreation, the presence of such crowds can detract from the peaceful atmosphere that many visitors seek. Additionally, the lack of proper maintenance diminishes the overall appeal of the park, leaving visitors longing for a more pristine environment. Despite these shortcomings, Dhauladhar Park still holds immense potential as a haven for nature lovers and families looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. With some improvements in maintenance and crowd management, the park could truly shine as a gem in the heart of Palampur. Until then, visitors may have to contend with the occasional disruption to their tranquility while still appreciating the natural beauty that surrounds them.

Beautiful scenic views ... River & Mountains Best place to refresh your mind after day activities . Local peoples were daily come here for Morning or evening walks.

Nive place far from the crowd and noise of market.. Anyone can go and sit there in peace .. for having a good time solitary or with friends .. 💯
Ajnesh K — Google review
The overall experience was good. The path was clean to walk around and watch animals, lush with greenery, there is a small park for kids to play and hangout with families and dustbins were everywhere to collect garabage. However i felt that there should be some trees around bear enclosure to keep him cool during hot summer days. There were no trees around his enclosure, even the position of the shed is such that there will be sunlight in most of the day time. I hope this suggestion add any value and help these beautiful creatures to sustain.

Set against the majestic Dhauladhar mountains, this church boasts exquisite stained-glass windows and is enveloped by lush deodar forests, creating a tranquil escape for those seeking solace amidst nature.
Very nice structure. The engravings give various facts about the britishers residing here back in the 1860s the names of whom most of us haven't heard. The park around it is beautiful and a small fall passes nearby during rain. No toilets available. Not much of choice could be found in foods also.

Birni Devi Temple is a holy shrine located in Palampur, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. It offers a moderate trekking experience accessible via Gallu Langha, Lohna, and Upper Bundla. The temple provides a majestic view of the Dhauladhar range and overlooks the beautiful Kangra Valley. The trek takes about two hours on foot and leads through dense forests with an eatery shop halfway up the trail.
Lovely place for nature lovers and trekkers.. loads of natural beauty...lovely mountains, greenery all around. Actually we went further than this temple towards the mountain..there a natural clearing and level open place just straight in front of birni temple towards the mountain although it's difficult to see from temple itself... Overall a good place for people seeking peace calmness and nature..

This temple is nestled in a breathtakingly beautiful location, surrounded by lush greenery and towering trees. As a Hindu, I felt a deep sense of attachment and reverence as soon as I stepped inside. The moment I entered the temple, I was enveloped in a sense of peace and tranquility. The temple's location, far from the city's hustle and bustle, adds to its serenity. In winters, the snow-covered landscape makes it even more picturesque. The air is fresh, and the sound of temple bells creates a sense of spiritual calm. As I sat inside, I felt my mind calm down, and I could have stayed there for hours. The temple offers a great opportunity for trekking as well, with a track leading upwards for those who want to explore. The temple's ambiance is truly divine, and I felt a deep sense of connection to my faith. If you're looking for a peaceful and spiritual experience, this temple is a must-visit!

Good short hiking trail near palampur. You can start it either from Jakhni Mata temple or approx 1-2 km before temple (eatery shop at corner). We parked our vehicles here and started hiking towards Birni mata temple. After crossing a village, there is steep ascend to top of hill and there is dhaba at top where you can eat, rest. It's like halfway of the trail. From here you will get glimpse of temple, continue toward second half of trail through dense forest. Approx one way distance 3.5-4 km and time 2 hrs.

This cafe, run and maintained by Himachal Pradesh Tourism, is a decent and convenient stopover during travel. While the cafe itself is simple, the real highlight here is the outdoor view. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Himachal, it offers a calm and refreshing atmosphere that makes it a perfect spot to pause your journey, relax, and enjoy the surroundings. The menu has a fair variety of food and beverages. The quality was good overall, though the prices are a little on the higher side compared to regular eateries. Still, considering the location and the chance to dine with such a view, many travelers would find it worth the spend. The service is average—not bad, but not exceptional either. It’s best to come here with the mindset of enjoying the setting rather than expecting top-notch hospitality. In short, this cafe is not just about food—it’s about the experience. Whether you’re stopping for a quick snack, a cup of tea, or a light meal, the surrounding scenery makes it memorable. Must visit for the outdoor views and a refreshing break in between your travel.

I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience. I visited Nugal Café Palampur today, 16th July. I ordered chaat papdi, dosa, and masala papad with green chutney. To my shock and disgust, I found a cockroach🪳🤮 in my food. 😱 seriously This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the café’s hygiene and cleanliness standards. What’s even more disappointing is that something like this could happen in a place known for its ambiance and food quality. No matter how popular a café may be, customer safety and hygiene must always be the top priority. I hope the management takes immediate steps to thoroughly clean the kitchen, train the staff, and conduct regular pest control to ensure this doesn’t happen to anyone else. I won’t be visiting again🤮

Found this by sheer luck while passing through and I’d highly recommend to everyone visiting Palampur to not miss this gem. Lovely ambiance and seating, plenty of sunshine, great presentation and food. Very good hospitality. Genuinely loved every food item, especially the Makhani Fries. Been a while since I had such crisp ones. Wonderful and a relishing experience visiting at this Cafe in the arms of beautiful surroundings and nature. Host was very gentle, we had pizza and it was one of the best pizzas. I ever had. Prices are reasonable. One should visit if they want to have a quite luxurious and an awesome experience in Palampur Valley.

The setup of the cafe is pretty nice. The outdoor ambience is amazing. I loved it. A good place for breakfast or brunch. The staff was humble and polite. The food was average. I really liked their omelet and ABC juice (carrot and bettroot). The taco and burrito were okay. That particular day service was slightly slow but I think that's the case at most places in Himachal Pradesh. If you to Palampur then you should visit the place.

BEKAAR! service is very good hence the 3 stars. We reached the place around lunch time to find it totally empty except for one family. We started off by ordering two cold coffees which were absolutely bland ,tasteless and watery. The waiter was sweet to take it back and up it up a notch! We then ordered cheese and bacon sandwich, club sandwich, tuna sandwich and a salsizaa or something weirdly named pizza. Along with 3 brownies. We spent around ₹2250 odd. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY. EVEN THOUGH WE WERE FAMISHED WE COULDNT EAT THE food so just imagine. The STAFF is EXCELLENT. THATS IT. FOOD IS VERY VERY MEDIOCRE. I paid ₹270 by gpay for the brownies but was given only 2,the number given on their page doesn’t work. I will for sure not reco this place!!!!!

Quality of food, attention to detail, customer satisfaction and quiet unwind mood to it, make this cafe worth stopping by. They've done a great job with the caffeine options and the menu and the kitchen boast of several other expertly prepared dishes. We ordered 4 things, out of which 1 was not to our liking. The staff not only tried to correct it to our liking, but also did not charge for the dish. I recommend the cafe to any food lover traveller through palampur, not because they aren't commercial, but because they serve to heart'a content

Not only they serve the best coffee from the finest selections be it hot ☕️ or cold 🧋 brews but also delicious continental fusion food 🍪🍩🌮🥪🍕. The cafe is under a management of Nishant who is friendly and boy he knows everything there is to know about coffee. I ended up spending the entire day⏳ at this lovely cafe that was suppose to be otherwise a quick pit stop 🚥. Pros: ☕️ Great Coffees (hot/cold/nitro - you name it, they have it) 🫖 Infused Teas (certainly not your regular cup of dip green tea 🧇 Nom Nom Continental Food 📸 Awesome POVs (hues & saturations) 👩‍💻High speed Wi-Fi Cons: Why am I not there like everyday :) Cheers! to Team @ The Coy's Cafe.

The floor rotates slowly (it should take 3-4 hours for complete 360 ),so customer can get 360 view of the palampur city . Food was good , ambience was good , service was good . Ventilation system need to be managed efficiently as it was too hot inside without windows and without AC system.

Visited for lunch with infant baby. Firstly Steward took wrong order and got us excessive dishes more than what was ordered (double main course). Secondly the order consisted of rajasthani lal maas which was not even remotely like the original dish. Mutton was uncooked and when the staff was informed about it they blatantly refused to accept the sub standard cooking. When the main chef was called he remorselessly told that the dish was always prepared this way and there was nothing wrong with the meat. My wife is a chef herself and any guy could have seen an uncooked Mutton. Attitude of staff is pathetic. Charges are overpriced, Ambience and infrastructure is good. Parking is available with difficulty. Food is not upto the mark. Better to avoid and visit any better restaurant in vicinity without making a hole in your pocket.

The Earth House in Palampur is a charming homestay located in the Andretta Pottery Village, known for its skilled artisans crafting pottery from the earth. The property offers basic yet comfortable rooms and serves delicious home-cooked meals. Guests can enjoy stunning views of the snow-clad mountains and crisp clean air while being surrounded by nature. The owner, Mr. Rohit, is attentive to guests' needs and provides guidance on nearby attractions.
We stayed at The Earth House, Palampur with my wife and our 10-year-old son, and it was one of the most peaceful, wholesome, and heartwarming vacations we've had in a long time! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the serene beauty of the mountains, the gentle sound of the nearby stream, and the rustic charm of the mud-and-bamboo cottages. The property is beautifully designed, blending perfectly with nature while still being incredibly comfortable. Our son had an absolute blast exploring the outdoors, reading books in cozy corners, and playing board games in the common area. One of the highlights was the delicious home-cooked food – simple, soulful, and served with so much love by the host and staff. The hospitality here deserves a special mention – warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We were also thrilled to learn that The Earth House is now pet-friendly, which means we’ll definitely be coming back with our furry friend next time! For those looking to work remotely or just take a long break from city life, they offer long-stay options too, which we’re seriously considering. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with your family, where nature, comfort, and warmth come together perfectly – this is the place. Highly recommend!

Location is 500 meters off the road and one has to walk through a CREMATION GROUND to reach the guest house, which is in its close vicinity. There is no path reaching the guest house so the elderly and medically impaired be warned. The Guest Rooms are not well maintained and there is no shower facility in the toilets. Very basic. The only plus point is the view and the serenity of the area.

Shakti Peeth Shri Chamunda Devi Temple is a Hindu temple complex located in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India. Situated atop a hill and overlooking the Ban Ganga river, it is dedicated to Goddess Chamunda Devi, considered the Mother Goddess by locals and devotees from all over India. According to legend, she emerged from an eyebrow of Goddess Durga to defeat demon kings Shumbha and Nishumbha.
A major Shaktipeeth, Shri Chamunda Devi Temple is an important pilgrimage destination, situated around 45 minutes drive from Dharamshala. We reached here by hiring a Suzuki Access scooty from Dharamshala and the road 🛣️ was a pleasure to ride on. This temple is huge when it comes to the area, with plenty of shops and open spaces to park your bike. There is a shoe deposit counter, which is really praiseworthy, because in most temples they don't have this system. During my visit, the main temple was undergoing renovation, but the Shiva temple was open. What fascinated me the most about this shaktipeeth was its small pond (with boating facility) and a river flowing next to it at rapid speed. This temple is really worth visiting and I enjoyed the overall experience.🙏🏻😇

Very peaceful and serene temple. Locals believe it to be one of Shakti Peeths, though the scriptures don't mention it, but has been given special status apparently. Conjoined with a beautiful Shiva temple downstairs, made under a unique rock cut.

Visiting **Maa Chamunda Devi Temple**, one of the most revered **Shakti Peethas** in India, was an extraordinary spiritual journey. Nestled in the scenic **Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh**, this ancient temple is dedicated to **Goddess Chamunda**, a fierce form of **Maa Durga**. The moment I stepped into the temple complex, I felt an overwhelming sense of divine energy and devotion. According to Hindu History, this is where the **goddess’s teeth (dant)** fell, making it one of the **51 Shakti Peethas**. The temple is named after **Chandi and Munda**, the demons slain by Maa Durga, symbolizing the victory of good over evil. The powerful aura of the goddess is palpable, and devotees believe that sincere prayers here bring protection, strength, and fulfillment of wishes. The temple’s architecture is a blend of ancient and modern styles, with intricate carvings and a striking idol of **Maa Chamunda adorned with garlands and ornaments**. The rhythmic chants of **"Jai Maa Chamunda"**, the sound of temple bells, and the fragrance of incense create a deeply meditative atmosphere. The priests perform rituals with great devotion, enhancing the spiritual experience. Perched on a hilltop near **Palampur and Dharamshala**, the temple offers **panoramic views of the Dhauladhar ranges and the Baner River**. The peaceful surroundings, fresh mountain air, and the sound of flowing water add to the divine experience. The well-maintained premises and cleanliness make the visit even more pleasant. The temple is easily accessible by road from **Kangra, Dharamshala, and Palampur**. Ample parking and well-connected transport options are available. The temple trust provides clean facilities, and nearby shops offer **prasad, souvenirs, and local Himachali snacks**. My visit to **Maa Chamunda Devi Mandir** was not just a pilgrimage but a soul-stirring experience. The goddess’s divine presence, the temple’s sacred energy, and the stunning Himalayan backdrop left me in awe. Whether you seek blessings, adventure, or inner peace, this temple is a **must-visit**. A Truly Divine & Unforgettable Experience!** 🚩🙏

10 August 2025 It is a good temple. You can hire cab approx 1k rupees from kangra bus stand. It is a huge, clean and beautiful temple. There is a kund in between where there is boating for amusement. Boating price 50 per person. Photographs to Chamunda Devi is prohibited. There is one more temple "Nandikeswar". Although, temple is as usual as the other temples but inside there is below a huge Rock. There are many shops for prashad but for eating the good dhaba near main road gate.

The gallery, which was once the painter's home, offers a deeply personal glimpse into his life and work. As you wander through the rooms, you're surrounded by his captivating paintings, each telling a story. As you enter, you're asked to remove your shoes. The paintings are thoughtfully displayed behind glass walls. Alongside the artwork, you'll find a selection of unique items for sale like postcards, fridge magnets, handmade soaps,  crochet toys and decorative items. But I found few items little bit expensive. For plant lovers, there's a lovely collection of greenery available for purchase. This gallery offers a beautiful blend of art and craft that will leave you inspired. The gallery’s ambiance is peaceful, almost meditative. The staff are gentle and welcoming. This gallery is a must-visit for art lovers and anyone seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You have to pay to take photos. ( 100₹ ) And there is also an entry fee.

Visiting the Shobha Singh Art Gallery in Andretta was a truly enriching experience. The gallery beautifully preserves the legacy of the legendary artist Sardar Shobha Singh, whose paintings reflect deep emotion, culture, and spirituality. Each artwork tells a story — from his iconic portraits of Sohni-Mahiwal and Guru Nanak Dev Ji to the serene landscapes that capture the soul of Himachal. The gallery is well-maintained, peaceful, and surrounded by the natural charm of the Kangra Valley. It’s not just a place to see art — it’s a place to feel art. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates creativity and heritage. Our visit became truly memorable thanks to Ms. Ritu, our knowledgeable and friendly guide. Her deep understanding of Shobha Singh’s life, artistic journey, and the history of Andretta made the tour fascinating. She explained every painting with passion and detail, making us feel connected to the stories behind them. Ritu’s warmth, patience, and local insights added a personal touch to the experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the region — she turns a simple tour into a heartfelt journey.

Sobha Singh Art Gallery is the home of legendary painter, Sardar Sobha Singh, where his descendants still reside. They are doing a yeoman service in keeping the legacy of the man alive. The rooms, artworks and relics of the great painter are kept as they were when they were used by him. The place is a repository of old black and white photographs of the house from its earliest days evoking a deep nostalgia. The place is full of history and still retains the old world charm that would have inspired the great artist to settle there. The must visit place for art lovers, nostalgia and quiet seekers and even casual tourists looking for a portal to escape into the not so distant past. The owners make a great effort to preserve the sanctity, quiet and solitude of the place and therefore it is recommended to help maintain the same by being silent admirers rather than noisy tourists.

The path leading to Langha Mata Hindu temple from Chandpur-Holta road near Palampur is breathtaking. However, the surroundings of the temple may not meet one's expectations, as the desired panoramic views of the nearby Dhauladhar peaks are not as magnificent as those seen from Birni Temple viewpoint. Nevertheless, this well-constructed trail surpasses Birni Devi Temple's in quality and passes through a mesmerizing forest.
Langha Mata Mandir Kandbari Palampur : Anyone who visits this place will attain peace of mind and will have an wonderful experience as well. Everyone must visit once here with his/her family ...........you will feel real adventure here.........what a lovely climate. Jai Langha Mata Ki 💐🥳🙏

Very pleasant and serene place to be with nature. Shiva temple just outside the premises and langha mata temple inside the premises. Swami Vigyanananda Giri look after the place. Swamiji initiates sincere seekers into kriya yoga, who wish tread on the path. No facilities are available for stay here. Trekking to this place is moderate, takes around 1-2 hours. Fresh air and water are in abundance. Place is cleanly maintained. Visitors be responsibly maintain the same. Let mata keep showering her blessings on us. Jai Mata Di.

The trail from Chandpur-Holta road near Palampur to this temple is amazing. The surrounding of the temple was a bit disappointing though, was expecting beautiful views of the Dhauladhar peaks up close from this temple area, but wasn't good enough as Birni Temple view point. The trail is nicely laid though, much better than the Birni Devi Temple trail and the forest through which one passes through is mind blowing as well. Easy hike 😌
