Izmir Wildlife Park is a large zoo featuring animals from Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. It's a popular destination for animal enthusiasts as it houses 2,700 animals from 134 different species. The park offers free admission and provides opportunities to observe wild animals, predators, and various bird species.
Great zoo! The kids absolutely loved it. We visited it in winter, so - no wait. You can pay by card at the gate - no special tickets are required.
Dmitri P — Google review
Visiting Izmir Wildlife Park felt like stepping into a vast forest full of life! The park is incredibly large, home to all kinds of animals from around the world, living in spacious, natural environments. I spent around three hours exploring different areas, walking through beautiful green landscapes and capturing amazing photos. From majestic lions to playful monkeys, colorful birds, and even exotic reptiles, every corner had something fascinating to see. The peaceful atmosphere and the sound of nature made the experience even more special. If you love wildlife and enjoy being surrounded by nature, Izmir Wildlife Park is a must-visit! It’s the perfect place to relax, learn about animals, and take stunning photos.
Samira S — Google review
A large and interesting zoo. Very easy payment system (no need to stand in a huge queue for a ticket). Beautiful well-kept territory, large enclosures for animals. Great variety (tigers, lions, hippos, zebras, elephants, giraffes, crocodiles, snakes, parrots and much more). Lots of information about animals. A very playful and charming elephant. Peacocks and other charming animals can meet freely on the territory. I would like the toilets to be cleaner. Planes fly over the zoo very often, as a visitor it is very noisy, I don’t know about the animals... apparently they are used to such noise. There are trash cans everywhere, but people do not see them and throw trash on the territory, I suggest to fine such people.
Victoria D — Google review
The zoo is very good, it has so many different animals, with many peacocks that you can see randomly around the park. It also has a nice restaurant that isn't very overpriced and is good to grab a snack. It's very recommended to have a cap when it's sunny as there isn't a lot of shade on the routes there.
Youssef K — Google review
The animals are in a huge area, there are many different kinds of animals. There are also several playgrounds for children, which I think is a very good idea. The entrance fee was 80 lira, but I think it's free for children under 6. We loved it.
Macza R — Google review
It was nice but small 30 min max compare to zoo price was too expensive and trying to scam on website cheaper than normal
Andrei M — Google review
I don't know why, but before visiting here I didn't have high hopes for it. It completely shocked me. One of the best wildlife parks/zoos I've ever been to. Stunning surroundings with natural nature and green trees. The animals were all well looked after and had plenty of space as thought they were in their natural habitats. Very well kept and clean. Plenty of toilets situated around the park. 2 cafes to stop for a drink or bite to eat. Would definitely come back again and would recommend to all ages. We had an amazing day out here. 10/10 Adults 20 lira children 10 lira
Tara P — Google review
Quite a nice park, well planned and large varieties of animals. Entrance is relatively cheap as well (30 TL in July 2024). Perhaps summer is not the best time to visit, as the heat was draining and animals were tired and sticking to shady areas. Some of the pens were empty and/or mislabelled. Cafe had good icecream and ready availability of packaged water/drinks. Had no problems finding a taxi from Izmir City Centre to here and back using Uber.

İnciraltı Kent Ormanı is a hidden gem in Izmir, offering a serene and green escape by the seaside. It's perfect for walking, running, or cycling under the shade of trees with the sound of waves nearby. Locals call it 'heavenly garden' for its tranquil atmosphere. Accessible via tram/metro or ferry, this park boasts mature Eucalyptus and mulberry trees, with a quieter side near the red bridge.
Very nice park just meters away from busy city life. It can fulfill your different needs. You can go for a walking/running, have a nice picnic or just enjoy the nature. Sea is a bit cleaner than city center but sadly still not like what it used to be. At the entrance there is cafeteria. There are some sculptures in the park but they are not the best 🙃.
Evrim O — Google review
Nice place to walk! It would be perfect if metro station or tram stop was a bit closer, cuz now you have to walk a lot to the park. But views are really outstanding here
Alex K — Google review
A huge park for all kinds of activities: walking, biking, rollerblading. On the Izmir aside of the park is a seashore, picnicking, and great views of the city, but the far side of the park is even prettier. İ enjoy walking around the Flamingo Lagoon, and the cafes of İnciraltı are a great place to end the day at the park.
James D — Google review
Easily the best green open space within Izmir city centre. Easy to get to via tram/metro (f.altay) or ferry if from Bostanlı (Üçkuyular port). Nice smell as you enter the park due to the many mature Eucalyptus trees. Lots of mulberry trees as well. Ripe for picking at late spring. The side near the red bridge is quieter. Public restrooms available. Not sure about barbeques as there were signs probihiting it and signs saying it is okay
ZTVLR 1 — Google review
This is the best park I have visited in Izmir. Well served, paths for walks, bikes and tables with seats for barbecue.

Not bad and not good. Alot of people at the beach with alot of trash . Dirty place at the beach. But it has nice clean place away from the beach,
Abdelrahman A — Google review
A very large city park where people can have barbecues and picnic. You have to bring everything with you to have a picnic. There is water and restrooms nearby. Also good for a long walk.
Tuliz B — Google review
Beautiful place, a big park right by the sea. Good walking or bike ways. How ever at same places the people visiting the park throws trash right at the beach or in the park.

Visitors can enjoy picnics by the tiny lake surrounded by pine trees and campgrounds with picnic tables. The winding road leading up to the park offers panoramic views of Izmir.
İt's a great place for camping and being away from the city lifestyle. When you are going there Forget about your phone because there is no appropriate service and almost everywhere there is no signal. İn my opinion this is great 😃

Pretty little lake at the top of Yamanlar Mountain. Road is narrow and there are many potholes yet it takes you up to the lake without any problems. There is small cafe where you can eat snacks and grilled meatballs and chicken. Views of the road from high above İzmir is gorgeous.
Tolga D — Google review
The road is very dangerous, narrow and on the edge of the cliff. Be very careful. Entry fee is cash only. You have to check out at 19:30 in the evening :( . The alternative way is worse. There is a restaurant but it is not very good.
Oz U — Google review
Worth a day trip/picnic. A tiny lake surrounded by hiking trails, pine trees and camp grounds with picnic tables. The winding road up is absolutely breathtaking as you get several opportunities to see a panorama of the city of Izmir from altitude. Grounds need to be cleaned up, as I'm sure the geese don't find cigarette butts too appetizing. If only the locals could respect the natural endowment they've been blessed with.
Pedram K — Google review
Road is very bad abd tiring. 135tl they get for nothing. No service. But after reaching the lake the landscape is fantastic.

Natural lake on the top of old volcano. Nice trekking place. There is a small restaurant with a fireplace. The road to the lake is not very wide and needs extra careful driving.

Kültürpark İzmir, also known as the Fair among locals, is a beloved and popular tourist attraction in Izmir. This expansive park features palm-lined paths, fountains adorned with sculptures, and lush greenery with over 200 tree and plant species. The park houses various attractions including the Ataturk Open-Air Theatre, Ismet Inonu Art Centre, a zoo, an amusement park, and a History and Art Museum.
One the best parks you can find in Izmir. Don't miss the live shows too. Good nature and wonderful atmosphere.
Abtin Z — Google review
Kültürpark is a beautiful green oasis in the heart of Izmir, offering a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The park is spacious, with plenty of walking paths, shaded areas, and seating, making it perfect for a relaxing stroll or a family outing. There are also nice ponds, playgrounds, and cultural venues, which add to its charm. However, it's clear that the park could use more maintenance. Some areas feel a bit neglected, and a little more care would truly bring out its full potential. Despite that, it’s still a lovely place to spend a few hours and connect with nature. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Great place to spend a peaceful time with friends and family. You can enjoy the nature, have a picnic or a barbecue. You don't need to pay to park your car. In the entrance named "Homeros Vadisi 2" you can access to some restaurants and a paintball place.
Brenda K — Google review
Great place for a Homer pilgrimage. A steep climb of about 20 meters to a path that skits a hillside and offers access to 3 caves. There aren't any markings in the caves themselves, and there is a plaque down at the bottom that mentions other literary pilgrims, such as Byron who came here. İ took a bus to Eğridere and walked. İt was about 4km. İ tried to hike back down the valley, but while there is a nice park below the caves, i could find no pathway going back to Bornova and so had to retrace my steps to Eğridere.

(Translated by Google) The green area is sufficient, however, due to lack of control, sunflower seeds, garbage and cigarette butts are everywhere. The municipality should put cameras and control them, it is an uncontrolled park. The people are not educated and dirty enough anyway, and since there is no control, the god is a bit of a beggar when I let them go to the meadow. The playgrounds are solid and very good for children. It is a great chance for the region. It would be better if the animal owners did not leave the feces of their party friends. Leaving food for the harmless street dogs in the park also attracts the pigs in the area. Either you will leave food properly or it is better not to leave any at all. You are not doing any good by leaving food and food around haphazardly. Keep track of the food you leave. Rotten food poisons animals. If you will not follow, do not leave.
