Standard Quay in Faversham is a fabulous spot to relax and explore. The area features unique shops, including a fishmonger and wet fish shop, as well as artisan outlets and antique stores. Visitors can enjoy a lovely cafe with a charming garden and friendly staff, while also discovering quaint bars and restaurants by the creek. One standout establishment is Herman's Plaice, offering fresh fish sourced from Billingsgate several mornings per week.
This really is a Fabulous spot to go and chill out. A few little unique shops to have a look round, including an excellent Fishmonger or Wet Fish shop (are they the same ?) A really nice Cafe on the back side with a lovely garden, nice treats on offer and Staff that are very busy yet polite and will do anything they can to help. A couple of lovely Bars/restaurants to grab a drink and soak up some sun by the Creek.

A local regular place that I walk to. There are some interesting shops and cafes, plus a variety of boats on the creek. When the tide is up you can often see people rowing up and down.

A pleasant place to while away some time, looking at the various barges and wandering around the bric-a-brac shops. Just walk down to the end of Abbey Street (the medieval cobbled road lined with historic buildings) and it's to the left of the pub (also worth a visit).

Brewery
Shepherd Neame, a brewery established in 1698, offers behind-the-scenes tours, tastings, and a shop at its visitor center. The brewery has over 300 pubs across London and the South East, including historic locations in Faversham. For instance, The Sun Inn is a charming pub dating back to the 14th century with original features like inglenook fireplaces and oak beams.
What an amazing experience this was. The brewery tour was just amazing. Ever since emigrating to the UK from South Africa, and living on the outskirts of Faversham, I have wanted to do this tour. My mother and sister have previously worked for Shepherd Neame. They arranged that I go on the tour. I was not disappointed. Such a great experience, and a memory I will have for a life time. The tour guide, Laura, what an amazing guide. You couldn't of asked for a better guide. Extremely knowledgeable, and at times, very funny as well. Out of the 21 people on the tour, none of them were from Faversham. It just go's to show you what an amazing Town ambassador Shepherd Neame are, for Faversham. They contribute to the towns Tourism in a massive way. Thank you again guys, that tour was amazing

Attended a Brewery Tour and Beer Tasting session yesterday. The tour was led by Martin who had a wealth of knowledge about the Brewing History of Faversham. Who highly recommend the tour.
Daniel J — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An excellent experience at the Shepherd Neame Brewery Tour! The tour was both informative and fun — a perfect blend of history, brewing knowledge, and local heritage. Our guide was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the craft. It was fascinating to see behind the scenes of Britain's oldest brewer and learn how their beers are made. The tasting session at the end was a real highlight. We got to sample a great range of their beers, each with unique character and flavour. Whether you're a beer lover or just curious about the brewing process, this tour is a must-do if you're in the area. Highly recommended!

We had a really nice time at the tour! Thanks Martin and Aubrey for the informations. Best brewery tour we been to. Greetings from germany! Beer was also tasty 😉.

Go here from time to time . Its abit of a nightmare to get to as there's a low bridge one end and hgvs aren't allowed though the town . But the way I go in is you will do a sharp right turn then follow the road down and the yards on the left hand side . You will see the signs as you go into the yard no hgvs passed this point . That's the route into town I know it's abit confusing. But once your in the yard the forklift driver has you load off in no time . There the best people to ask if you do find yourself in a muddle as there from the area .

Enjoyed an excellent "Father's Day" gift this weekend, visiting the Shepherd Neame brewery. The tour was succinct and informative, reviewing each stage of the process of making beer. This is followed by a sample session at the end, rounding it off nicely. I would recommend a visit if you are in this lovely part of the country.
Danbwest — Google review
Visited this brewery on the 8th October 25 and had a great couple of hours. You meet in the bar on site, then our tour guide Martin introduce himself. Martin made this tour, he is a extremely knowledgeable guide and very passionate about his beers. You walk around the brewery with your guide explaining how the various beers and larger are made. I'm not a great beer drinker but I thoroughly enjoyed this tour, and I learnt a lot about the whole process. A big thank you to Martin.
H E — Google review
I got the brewery tour as a birthday gift and we absolutely loved it :-). Nice small brewery and very informative tour. Note-All I would say have some food before you go as, first of all, I was pretty drunk by the end ot the tasting and secondly no restaurants in Faversham do food from 3 to 6 and the tour finishes just after 3 o'clock. Overall very lovely experience.

Movie theater
Nestled in the heart of Faversham, The Royal Cinema is a charming independent venue that beautifully marries history with modern cinema. Established in 1936 and designed in an enchanting Tudor style, it features stunning architectural details like a diamond-paned window and a distinctive lead turret. This beloved local gem not only screens major film releases but also hosts special one-night events showcasing more artistic films through its partnership with the Faversham Film Society.
A Gem of a Cinema! The Royal Cinema is everything you could hope for in a local theater and more! It’s a breath of fresh air compared to the large, impersonal chain cinemas. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warmth and a sense of community that big chains just can’t replicate. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the selection of films is thoughtfully curated, and the experience feels special every single time. You can tell this place is run with genuine care and love for cinema. A special shoutout to Peter, who is simply wonderful. His friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and clear passion for making each visitor feel welcome elevate the experience to something truly unforgettable. If you’re tired of soulless multiplexes and want to enjoy movies the way they’re meant to be experienced—personal and magical—The Royal Cinema is the place to go!
Damian T — Google review
One of those places that makes you love England as an expat. A stunning old-fashioned cinema with décor straight out of the 60s, and staff who make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. The atmosphere is unique, the prices are refreshingly reasonable, and the film selection is excellent — often showing gems you won’t find elsewhere. A true treasure that deserves support.
Arnaud W — Google review
Recently took my younger siblings to see Sonic 3, it was great! The prices were amazing and cheaper than any other cinema i have been before. The staff was very kind!, I recommend going here, and this will be my number one cinema from now on!

Wonderful little cinema in Faversham. Good selection of movies, good bar and ticket prices are usually very reasonable. Seating is comfortable and sound quality pretty good. A pretty little gem in this nice town.
Renato S — Google review
The Royal Cinema, Faversham, is a wonderful local amenity. Polite and efficient staff with great customer service. The snacks and drinks available are well priced too. It is just how cinemas used to be before the arrival of the soulless multiplex cinema 'experience'. Great value for not much money.
Mark H — Google review
My husband and I loved this ‘old fashioned’ cinema. The door was held open as we entered and then we were met by a very polite and well presented young man behind the counter. Our tickets 🎟️ were old paper versions from yesteryear. Then another young gent welcomed us into the auditorium. The auditorium is from another world and time, we LOVED it. Such a pleasant and memorable evening.
Ruellyn M — Google review
Such a great cinema. The ticket and refreshment prices are reasonable, and beat the multiplexes by a remarkable margin. The seats are comfortable, the people are nice and the town centre location is fantastic. If you're local the chances are you'll run into friends and acquaintances there which adds to the social feel of going to the cinema. All in all, it's a lovely experience.
Suzanne W — Google review
Have been going to the Faversham cinema ever since I was a boy and as per usual I loved my experience! Extremely friendly and professional staff and fair prices for popcorn and other snacks. The building is brilliantly old fashioned as you hope to expect with a traditional picture house and is very clean and cosy. If you haven’t been to this small and charming cinema then get yourself in there and enjoy the experience! 5 stars from me!

Nature & Wildlife Areas
Oare Gunpowder Works Country Park is a tranquil and picturesque natural area that provides an excellent opportunity for hiking along its well-maintained paths with pets. The park boasts gunpowder-mill ruins and an abundance of local wildlife such as swans, moorhens, ducks, song thrushes, and finches. Visitors can enjoy the beauty of the reserve while sitting on one of the numerous benches or picnic areas provided by the park.
A wooded area with lakes and waterways which is on the site of an old Gunpowder works, hence the name. There are a number of partial buildings and structures remaining and each has an information board giving details of what happened there. There's quite a lot to see and more than one route within the park. The car park is free. There is a toilet for disabled users there but it requires a special key. There are a few benches near to the car park. There are no other facilities on site. Some walks are easier than others but this is explained on the large board near the car park. Dogs are permitted. Care should be taken with both children and dogs as there are many areas where there is water and parts of the park have old industry structures etc. It is a lovely place to take a walk.
W H — Google review
An oasis of calm in grounds that powered the empire with gunpowder. Ruins of the gunpowder production buildings, the canals that powered and transported the industry remain.
W W — Google review
Nice little park to walk around. Free parking a massive plus!
David L — Google review
Beautiful woodland with some cool old structures from when it was a working mill. Informative signs around the country park tell you about the old works. Lots of effort goes into habitats and nature conservation with bat boxes up all round the site. There are a few areas where the site connects to restricted access land(fishing lakes) and you have to keep dogs on a lead. There is parking at the visitors centre.
Mickey D — Google review
Its very quiet, relaxing and informative. Good for walking the dog but the whole thing is not very big. A gentle walk and you have walked around it all in 40mins or so...
Bobby W — Google review
Loved this little walk. Different routes depending on if you can manage stairs or need a flat route with walkways. We did all of the routes and it took us about an hour. Lots of information boards on the history of the gunpowder works and the nature you may spot during your visit. Lots of song birds singing and very relaxed and quiet.
Hayley B — Google review
Wonderful park in west Faversham for relaxing or walk your furry friend. The park includes the gunpowder works buildings and it is fairly interesting exploring the ruins and read the signs on the site's history. The trails are fairly easy to walk and well signposted. The lakes are great but be aware that in summer there may be a lot of mosquitoes. Get your wellies as well as some sections will be fairly muddy.
Renato S — Google review
Had a lovely walk with the dogs. Free car park though be aware the gates are locked quite early , though there are plenty of signs to warn you. Toilet . Bins and picnic benches dotted about . Plenty of route markers and info boards .

What an absolute gem. Hidden behind a quiet door is a real garden oasis. The team of volunteers who have put in many hours of work have created something very special. The garden is packed with colour, fruits and flowers. Absolutely fabulous.

Just the loveliest jewel of Faversham! The coffee hut was just opening as myself and a friend arrived, but that did not stop the two wonderful ladies from giving us a warm welcome! A cafetiere of coffee and a flat white (white coffee to you and me) was just a mere £4, but full of flavour. A visit to the compost loo was an experience, but that said, it was clean and well kept! We stayed for a second cuppa and when taking in the empties at the end of our stay, we bid the ladies farewell and received smiles and an open invite back!
Dee E — Google review
Tried to visit but access is difficult via a footpath from an area of limited parking and a large school entrance. It’s on the tin.. ‘community garden’. That’s what it is.. pedestrian access rather than for visitors with a car. Shame as I wanted to see it.

Fantastic, Community Physic Garden in the heart of Faversham lots to see and do or just sit and relax in it's tranquil space.

Great place to go and visit and learn how grow different herbs and fruits.
Sweetp1 ( — Google review
Beautiful space and beautiful garden. It's a pity that it's let down by some snooty women "in the reading club" trying to get rid of "the public" in the coffee hut. Taking one table per person (this should not be allowed when the place is tiny), making comments and b!tching about people with tattoos and women and men's general looks, all this while reading poetry. For the record, we don't have any tattoos. Shame that this behaviour clouds the peace and beauty of the place. Management should be aware of the unwelcoming attitude of some of their regulars considering that this is a charity and it doesn't run on thin air...we're paying customers, but their demeanor has made us think twice about returning.
M F — Google review
Peaceful garden with nature right at the top of the agenda: pond area, herb garden, veg plots, bee hives, flowers etc. Very calming place to spend time. We took a picnic and sat on one of the many benches dotted around the garden. There are refreshments available to buy too. Volunteers and staff very friendly and helpful. Check opening times as these can vary.

The renowned Cinque Ports Pub on the seafront serves up Mexican-inspired dishes. We had a very enjoyable visit to the Shepherd Neame Brewery in Faversham. The station is only a short walk away from the brewery and the tour we had was top class. The guide was informative and interesting and we came away having learnt all the history and enjoyed some delicious samples of the product at the end of it.

A very first time visit to the Britain's oldest brewery. The tour was informative and tour guide made us welcome with his friendly talk. He explained the whole brewing process step by step and the history of the site. At the end, tasting experience was great. Btw good to know about beer rather then just drink 😜. Worth the visit.
Win T — Google review
Visited brewery for the first time today and I was amazed! I am not much of a beer drinker so I was not sure what to expect, but it was actually great to see the process of beer making and the history behind it. At the end of the tour we had opportunity to taste some beers and learn more about the taste/smell of each one. Special thanks to Nick as he was a great tour guide! It is definitely worth a visit if you are interested in beers or not!
Kristina P — Google review
I could not recommend the tour and beer tasting highly enough! I came here for an afternoon outing with my family and we enjoyed every moment! Our tour guide Nick, was extremely informative and gave us a great look around the brewery and explained the intense process that goes into making the beer. I learned a lot about beer that I did not know before, and about the long history at Britain’s oldest brewery. We also had a great beer tasting, and I really enjoyed learning about Shepard Neame’s most popular and well loved beers. This is a great afternoon out and you will not be disappointed.
Imogen B — Google review
Amazing tour and tutored tasting today. Tour guide Aubrey was fantastic. Highly recommended.
Glen H — Google review
I found this tour to be highly informative and incredibly interesting. Not just in terms of the process for beer making but also on the history of beer and ale as part of the English culture and the company itself. Then as an added bonus you get to taste 6 different lagers / ales and stouts. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience. So much so that I’ve now signed up for the evening meal and beer tasting event.
JANE S — Google review
Note. The tour is now £25. The shop Is welcoming and sells a full range of SN beers, plus a few other labels they are licensed to produce. Also sell SN branded items, from t shirts to beer mats. This is a review of the shop, not the tour!

A great experience visiting the Shepherd Neame brewery, Laura our guide was full of knowledge and interesting facts of the brewery. The tasting experience was a fascinating culmination of the tour. Nestled within the serene grounds of a stunning Georgian manor, Reads restaurant offers an exquisite dining experience that is hard to match. Surrounded by lush lawns and majestic trees, this culinary gem in Faversham showcases the artistry of Chef David Pitchford. His seasonal menu features a delightful fusion of homegrown ingredients from the manor's own walled garden alongside fresh local game and fish sourced from nearby Whitstable and Hythe.
Amazing overnight dinner and breakfast stay. Lovely friendly service. Great for a break! To be pampered and looked after. The bedroom was amazing too. We had the Laurel four poster bedroom. All amenities and facilities were luxurious. Will definitely look to come back again in the future!

We visited Reads and had the dinner, room and breakfast package. The restaurant is in a beautiful location and has very scenic grounds. Our room was huge, immaculate in presentation and had lovely views of the grounds from the windows. There were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room and this was moved to a pantry down the hall that was communal for all guests. This was something to do with Covid regulations rather than having them individually in the room. Tea and coffee are free, everything else had a charge. It would have been preferable to have this in the room as we are very early risers and didn't want to go and use the pantry and risk waking other guests making a hot drink. Our room was very impressive but my wife and I found the bed pretty firm and we didn't get a good night's sleep due to this. Staff were very attentive, friendly and welcoming. I was very impressed with the restaurant having a table for us that we could come down for dinner at any time between 6.30-8.30pm. The restaurant was beautifully presented and only four tables in the room we were seated. This meant you didn't feel on top of the other guests and a really nice touch. The food was excellent - very well cooked and presented. There was nothing we didn't finish and we enjoyed everything placed in front of us. The portions were perfectly sized so by the end of the meal, my wife and I were completely full. The selection of wine was also very impressive and caters for all tastes! We never felt rushed or pressured, everything was taken at our pace - another massive positive. A genuine customer focus! Breakfast was either fruit, cereal or cooked. There was also toast, patisseries and a selection of homemade lemon curd, honey and jam. The cooked breakfast was perfect. I would highly recommend this venue and restaurant for that special celebration.

On Wednesday evening 7/6/23 my wife and I visited READS restaurant....a delightful present gift voucher 🎁 thanks to our Sweetheart Holly 👧❤... Reads restaurant is within Macknade Manor and situated just over a mile from Faversham Town centre ( bus route serves here at Bus stop Macknade Garage stop Nos. 3A & 638)) along the Canterbury Road A2. As you approach thesign-posted leafy tree lined entrance off the Canterbury Road... there lies a hidden gem! Within the grounds facing you stands MACKNADE MANOR, a period style achitecture Georgian era house. The neat short good surfaced driveway peels off to your right in front of the Manor and leads you to a well spaced car park 🚘 with ample parking spaces (disabled spaces inclusive).). Disabled entrance to the Manor House, and disabled toilets and seating inside too. The surroundings and grounds very beautiful and well preserved, with an abundance of various towering tree 🌳 species including Cedar, Horse Chesnut and Weeping Willow border the premises. The lush green lawns and flower beds so matching and are regularly visited by Robins, Thrushes, Wrens, and Blackbirds. Bird song virtuoso echos around the grounds in constant melody. A cosy warm little hidden corner of Kent. Our overall experience I describe here was excellent and one of the most relaxing summer evenings in our reckoning. For here at Reads the atmosphere within the restaurant was SO very peaceful, tranquil, and timeless. Eleagant beautiful Georgian period furnishings, fabrics, decor, and seating all throughout the interiors that are so comfortable. The hallway, lounge, dining rooms, and novel historic 'picture framed' corridors are all on the ground floor (as with the very clean hygenic toilets!). Macknade Manor shows a true periodical era of Georgian splendour. We were greeted by warm welcoming friendly, professional staff always happy to please...and they certainly did as we discovered! My personal applause 👏 and praise to the chef, catering staff, waitors, waitresses and managers for their recognisable effort and presentation. Cuisine and food menu course of the highest finest aquired taste and choice from the best local seasonal Kent produce produce....UNFORGETTABLE! 👏 Maybe or whether it was a one-off experience (?).....but certainly one to cherish and remember in every good aspect....and yes, definately worthy in consideration of a future return. I thank all the very kind managers, staff, waitors and waitresses for all photos allowed and taken with the utmost courtesy. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this pleasant stay ( 1830pm arrival here, opened at 1900pm, stayed til 2113pm) at Reads ...a memorable 💖 Kent location in our books. Excellent, well ✔ 👍 done Reads. Best regards Chris & Patricia. 💞

It was such a fantastic evening. Expect to spend 3 hours if you go for the taster menu. Its absolutely amazing. If you are not a big eater, ask to take the bread home together with the biscuit and cheese course as you dont want to miss the dishes. Highly recommended. Staff are too professional for a british dining experience. Its as if you are dining in downton abbey and served as such 😇❤️

There was a birthday group next to us so a bit noisey but not major. Coped well with 2. groups at the same time. Nice simple menu. Had the mackerel which was lovely. Nice atmosphere

Visited midday on Wednesday, lovely quiet pub with good food, dog friendly, clean toilets, watch out for the wobbly floors and characterful furniture!

On Saturday evening we had been let down and Paige and Mark stepped up and offered to help make our Daughters 18th birthday very very special and they certainly did that! There was over 40 of us in the garden, Paige put up the balloons we delivered and reserved some tables under a huge umbrella for us all outside. what a lovely space their garden is! The young children ran around with the dogs leaving the adults to drink, chat and mingle and when it came to birthday cake time, Paige and Mark both delivered the cake into the garden for us With napkins and cutlery and smiles. Nothing was too much for them. When a family member got drinks they put them on a tray and carried them to the garden for them. Checking on everyone throughout the evening, clearing glasses and taking time the chat too. We will most definitely be visiting again soon! The entire family agreed what a super place it is and how refreshing it was to feel both wanted and appreciated.

Great atmosphere, old pub, lovely fireplace and decent food for a reasonable price. They have very small selection of non Shepherd Neame beers though, but they have Neck Oil, which was good enough for me. Overall 8.5/10, would come again.

Nestled in the heart of Faversham, the Bear Inn is a charming historical pub that perfectly captures the essence of British hospitality. With its inviting atmosphere and traditional oak beams, this delightful establishment offers a cozy retreat for locals and visitors alike. Just a stone's throw from the renowned Shepherd Neame brewery, patrons can indulge in an impressive selection of local ales, including favorites like 'Spitfire' and 'Master Brew.'
I like this historic pub, in the heart of Faversham’s market area - I’ve been here previously, but not for a few years. Popped in for a pint - the bar is divided into several sections, after the traditional fashion, with public and saloon areas. Opted for the saloon, which is to the rear. Nice place inside, cosy and inviting. The beer was Shepherd Neame’s Spitfire lager; but others were available. Bacon Fries were the crisps. All you could ask for. I didn’t eat in this occasion, but there was a food menu available from midday. Overall a decent and traditional pub. I will return.

The Bear does it again! Brilliant Saturday and Sunday lunch. If they had rooms, we could just move in. To top it all, lovely roast potatoes just put on the bar, no charge, for everyone to enjoy. If you want to experience a proper home cooked British meal you need to go no further than The Bear. Great selection of beer and wine. Real sense of family run establishment. How lucky we are to have this marvellous boozer on our doorstep.

A traditional and atmospheric English pub in the heart of Faversham serving good food and drink at very reasonable prices. The fabric of the building oozes with historical features and things of interest. If you're into chrome and minimalism you won't find it here but you will find a warm and friendly venue to share time with friends and family. Additionally, the friendly and welcoming staff are always ready to make your visit a little bit more special. Recommended.

An unspoilt market-square pub. Multiple bar rooms. Could be fantastic if the Muzak was switched off and if they offered more than one beer. Adequate service, though not exactly welcoming.

When You are here in Faversham have a rest at the bear inn! Simply good! This pub is so wonderful British! We were glad to be here. ...and taste the glorious SHEPHERD NEAME, which comes from here! As a German I like a good beer - especially Pilsner, but when I'm in England I only drink local! Of course! On my first England trip many years ago SHEPHERD NEAME was the first English beer I ever had, unforgettable! "Spitfire" is my favorite but a Master Brew is also very nice! AND: Don't drink when You must drive!!

They plant two each from hundreds of varieties of fruit trees from all around the world. We celebrated our Sapphire Wedding Anniversary there today. They had put a lovely card and some lavender on the table. ( Nice touch ) The food was very well presented and tasted delicious. Papà Bianco is a delightful pizza restaurant in Kent that offers a cozy atmosphere and live music. The staff members are friendly, efficient, and always maintain a good sense of humor. The pizzas themselves are absolutely delicious, with various toppings to choose from. Additionally, their caprese salad and garlic bread topped with caramelized onions are also highly recommended.
If the sun is shining, this is the place to be when eating pizza. It’s a beautiful setting in the quay and with outdoor seating you can take it all in. The food is lovely to go with the surroundings. I got a pepperoni pizza which was thin and crispy with lovely toppings. The fries on the side were perfectly crisp coated in rosemary. They also do burgers here which looked amazing and I’ll be trying the next time I’m back. The cocktails looked good also and plenty of people were ordering them. Looking forward to coming back here over the summer!
Ben S — Google review
Delicious pizza and drinks in a fantastic location! They have loads of good topping options and they use really high quality ingredients. I believe they also have some weekly specials for pizza so that's definitely something to look out for. We didn't order in advance but the food arrived very quickly. Would highly recommend this place if you want some authentic pizza.
Denisa T — Google review
Fantastic pizza restaurant with plenty of tables inside and out, surprisingly large and very cute. Plenty of fairy lights, wooden boards, light colours and boat themed interior. Clean toilets, clean tables, lovley and clean bar and food area. The milkshakes are amazing; nice and thick and genuinely delicious flavours, not just synthetic plasticy flavours. £12 for a margarita pizza which is the cheapest on the menu and arguably you can find cheaper elsewhere as i felt they were the bog standard pizza but actually the service and place was worth it. Free 2 hour parking around the back, wheelchair and child friendly. They also offer takeaway.

We visited in the afternoon on a week day. I ordered the courgette pizza and extra olives at Papa Bianco and it was absolutely delicious! Super tasty with loads of cheese, really fresh flavours, and a lovely balance with the courgette. The base was just right too, crispy and thin base. We didn't have to wait long and the online system was easy to use using the table number and QR code. Would definitely return...highly recommend!

Great location, on the quay of Faversham. Good selection of cocktails and non alcoholic drinks. Plenty of seating and dog friendly too. There is outdoor seating and live music on certain days of the week. There really is something for everyone. Food service was amazingly fast and we were able to order from the QR code with no trouble what so ever. Pizza toppings are always changing and good quality tasting. The pizzas are thin based and full of flavour. Good selection of beers on offer too. I will definitely be returning.

A wonderful visit! The food was delicious! I would suggest to just order online and then collect and eat in the restaurant or outside, but it is possible to also order at the restaurant too! Our trip was to celebrate a friend's birthday and I really want to thank all the staff; they helped light the cake I bought in and sang happy birthday too! Staff were smiley, attentive and happy to help and came with fresh pizzas that were delicious and good value for money! I can't recommend enough!

The 33m outdoor pool and the 25m indoor pool are perfect for leisurely swims or more serious lane swimming sessions, especially during the serene sunset swims on Tuesday and Thursday evenings or the invigorating sunrise swim on Sunday mornings.
Great pools for lane swimming especially sunset swims on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunrise Swim on Sunday morning. The outdoor pool is 33m and indoor 25m. Clean pools, changing rooms and new lockers. Showers recently refurbished via crowd funding for the project. Friendly reception team who always make swimmers feel welcome. Hard working cleaners who keep the centre to a high standard of cleanliness. The lifeguards are attentive and professional. Monthly swim pass is better value than pay as you go if swimming more than twice a week. Tides cafe is open at peak times selling great coffee and snacks. Car park is council run and fees apply in evenings. Beware of poor lighting. Swale Council is looking into this - March 2024

We enjoyed our first outside swimming of the season. A three hour session on a nice summers day. Our three year old loved the main outside pool and the rapid river. This combined with the ability to sit and picnic in the surrounding garden area, made it a great visit. Outside toilets and changing areas along with lockers. Great exterior facilities and worth a visit to splash around and enjoy the summer! Recommended!
Glen — Google review
First time going with grandchildren and it was a lot of fun. It was great to be able to use both indoor and outdoor pools plus the "crazy pool." I've no idea what it's called for the price "under £30" Brilliant. The only issue I found was that the changing room area was quite cramped when busy. But we will definitely be going back on a regular basis.
Paula G — Google review
Excellent! I loved that this place allows you to use both indoor and outdoor pools. As it was a hot day, I spent most of the time in the outdoor pool. And it's overall very solid. Nice and spacious, a reasonable deep end, diving boards. The rapids pool was also a tonne of fun- keep in mind that they only turn the rapids on at half past whatever the time is, for about 10 minutes. Definitely recommended though
Krishen B — Google review
I went yesterday for the first time with my husband and our 1 year old son. We had been really looking forward to going and enjoying a nice swim but we were nothing but disappointed. The price is pretty standard so no issue there, the temperature of the indoor pool was good, outside was cold. The biggest things were the fact that it is really not very clean! I had to ask to gain entry to the family changing facilities that had been blocked off for no real reason and I hated the fact that the showers are one big communal shower so you can't shower properly after a swim. All places I have been to before have male and female options of communal and cubical but this is all unisex which we really don't like at all. Sadly we won't be returning and have been really disappointed. The floor is also ridiculously slippery! I know tiled wet floors can be but they should have smooth tiles everywhere, they should be textured to aid grip.
Emily B — Google review
Visited last week. No mention on website that swimming lessons (school visit) were on. Had to wait an hour before going in the bigger indoor pool so 1 year old and 5 year old were in baby pool with everyone else. Baby pool wasn’t overly warm. Changing rooms dirty, old and just yuck. Couldn’t access family changing rooms so had to struggle in small one with two young children. Lifeguards just kept moaning at me as I had two kids. 1 year old was in his float and 5 year old was in his float vest and has been swimming since he was 2, kept telling me to hold them both all the time. Website state 1 adult to 2 under 10s, got so fed up of being moaned at we left after just an hour. Will NOT be returning, ever!
Danielle J — Google review
I was really looking forward to swimming this evening - adult session but there were 3 lanes, one taken up by a club & the other two had way too many people in them...20 in one & 13 in another! The water was a good temperature but very cloudy. I'm afraid not worth £8 + parking

Really lovely sitting in the courtyard having a homemade lunch, Roast Pumpkin and we think Moroccan black beans (cannot remember 😂) and a slice of bread (gluten free bread for me which was yummy) if anyone knows which beans they used that would be helpful as want to make it at home 😄

My wife and I went there for lunch today, the food was great, we ordered the frittata lunch meal at £9 per serving, again the food was very good but the size of the portion was surprisingly small, the kitchen staff were all kids and we both put it down to inexperience. On ordering pudding my wife had the GF flowerless orange cake at £4 a slice, again it was literally a slither served up on a plate. Overall experience on this occasion was underwhelming , the food was delicious although ration size portions, definitely not value for money.

Had a lovely interlude at Creek Creative in Faversham today. The studio is full of an eclectic mixture of various local ‘makers’ and artists and it is well worth a look. They also have a vegan cafe as a major part of the establishment which, as it turns out, is extremely good. I, myself, am not a vegan or a vegetarian, but even so I found the variety of food extremely edifying, especially on a chilly and windy autumn afternoon. A lot my friends have always complained about the lack of establishments serving food that fits in with their dietary requirements, although this is not so much the case now. Creek Creative certainly makes a bold statement in the variety and tastes available on their menu, and I will say that their soups are very nearly as good as my mums, which is saying something. Anyway, if you get the chance, try them out, you won’t be disappointed. I don’t have any photos to post this time but I will be going back and I will post them on my next visit.

The 14th-century St Mary of Charity Church, located in the town center, stands out with its unique triangular spire. Built on top of an earlier Norman foundation, the church underwent modifications in 1797 when its medieval spire was replaced with a corona-shaped one due to concerns about its stability. Visitors have shown great interest in the church's memorial stones and have enjoyed participating in a trail designed for children aged 8-12.
Beautiful church set in the heart of Faversham. We went here to watch a performance as part of the Literary Festival and it was packed. Lovely to see classic, wooden pews in this church which give it a timeless feel. Surprisingly spacious inside, interesting to browse around and discover its history. Very friendly atmosphere.

Faversham Market is a charming and bustling market located in the town center. It features various specialized stalls offering artisan products, antiques, and unique finds. The market is held on different days of the week, with specific events such as the Open Gardens event in June, Hop Festival in September, and Christmas Market in December. Visitors can explore not only the market but also nearby antiques shops and enjoy a variety of dining options.
Delightful historic market building which still serves as a social hub with its plethora of coffee shops and cafes nearby. With buildings dating back to the 1400's it is an idyllic place to enjoy a drink and watch the world go by. I might even venture to say it is more relaxed and stylish that some of its more popular neighbouring towns.

Imagery of shop fronts, some stalls and just the local area we walked through. It's a gorgeous stories walk with lots of little details and oddities. I highly recommend this place for those who are fans of history or just taking a step back into the past for a day. The buildings and architecture have really preserved the entire area as a time capsule for skilled craftsmanship. I'm in awe. My only sadness was attending an hour before they were ready to close up. It was overcast and thunderous that day and I didn't get to see the market in its full glory just yet. With that said, I can't wait to see you again, Faversham! Hopefully with clement or sunnier skies above
Benjamin C — Google review
If I have free time on Saturday, this market is my first choice to come. Picturesque town with Tuesday & Saturday market every week where you can find local yummy fruits/veggie/ game/ farm poultry from local producers. There are flowers and a wide variety of plants/herbs for you to add to your garden that is really good price with big pot (hence good quality). And you can find some vintages, knick-knack on the day. There is also an artisan market connecting the town centre Market Street to Preston street. Love the lady who manufacture ceramics nicely. Especially, on the 1st Sunday of each month (almost), the Antique Market is unmissable. I have been returned many times (>10 times😆) with a pleasure always.
Thao L — Google review
I visited the Faversham Antiques Market today, which is held on the first Sunday of the month. Lots of stalls with well presented stock. A better market than for some months (I go most months). If you visit, don't forget to go upstairs in the Guildhall in the Market Square as you will find more dealers there. Walk round Faversham, too. There are other antiques shops nearby well worth visiting. There are also plenty of places to get something to eat and drink if you want to interrupt your browsing.
Mark H — Google review
If you're on the tourist trail in Kent, you probably have Canterbury and Dover on your itinerary and little else. I recommend Faversham (on the A2 or the railway line on your way down to the aforementioned places). The market is held on Fridays and Saturdays, showcasing local produce. But come for the town itself with its well-preserved medieval centre.

Nice little place for a couple of hours, didn't think there were as many market stalls as I was hoping for. Few nice little independent shops and restaurants .

Had some time to spare while waiting for the car to be Mot'd so a walk around Faversham centre and the market was a delight with many specialised stools with artisan products for sale. A visit to the local butchers just around the corner from centre was a lovely discovery and has a great choice of specialised meats to try, definitely a return visit required. Parking was easy in the large car park which is just off the town centre which has the local swimming pool included to visit. Faversham has always been a pleasure to visit over the years and I look forward to a return visit in the near future.

Stonebridge Pond is a peaceful oasis amidst a bustling location. It offers a calm retreat, protected by the canopy of trees that provide shade and respite from the sun's rays. The pond is adorned with an array of delightful waterfowl, including various species of ducks, geese, black-headed gulls, and elegant swans accompanied by their precious offspring.
A little bit of solace in the middle of a pretty busy area.. Lovely and sheltered by the over hanging trees, nicely shaded from the heat and many lovely varieties of wild fowl Inc ducks and geese. Black headed gulls too and some swans with their signets. We sat and had our lunch here as benches are provided and shared it with the birds - heaven... 🦆

After recently moving to the area, I came across the Stone Stonebridge Pond on Maps and decided to check it in person. Needless to say my two year-old son absolutely loved seeing all the ducks! The bench area seemed to be well kept with minimal litter aswell! Overall this is a nice little stop off if you're already passing through the area!

Very nice pond, however only one side of it is accessible to the public, a small part with only 3 benches. However, I did enjoy my time here watching the waterfowl and reading my book.

No point bothering. Saw this in a Google search and headed straight there being mislead by what looked like a nice place to visit by the photo. Its OK if your a local and can walk. But it's really just a small patch of grass under the trees off a busy road, no parking. Loads of rats. And ducks are no scared to come near to take food half the time.

A lovely little museum with interesting local medieval and Roman history. I've visited both as an individual and as part of a primary school trip. The volunteers are very friendly and knowledgeable and were fantastic with the children. There's also a small courtyard where you can eat a packed lunch. Definitely worth a visit.

The Chart Gunpowder Mill, a historical site managed by a society, served as a prominent gunpowder manufacturing center from Tudor times until the late 1800s. Adjacent to a serene stream that once powered its substantial grinding stones, the mill has been restored and features wooden-toothed gears in its main drive mechanism to prevent sparks from igniting the powder. Inside, visitors can explore the grinding mechanism and learn about its workings through pictures and informative displays adorning the walls.

Well maintained, with a good variety of play equipment for kids of ranging ages. All securely fenced. Plenty of area for activities on the green and a nice cafe to enjoy a refreshment or snack. Toilets are available, yet these are usually in need of attention for cleanliness and standards, yet sadly as to be expected for a public park. Free car parking on site, for 4 hours which gives plenty of time to enjoy a walk, play or weather permitting picnic!

Great place to go for a stroll with the dog or take the kids to play. Playground facilities have been updated and are fabulous. There is now an outdoor gym and they are continuing to re-build the old rugby club house and changing rooms to make this place a definite 5 star facility for the community. I have only given 4 stars because the builders are still working on it.

A very good play area split into two age groups. One for the younger kids and one for the older ones. Both have some benches in for a break while the kids play. There’s a nice coffee shop on site and huge playing fields so good for the frequent local visits but also when visiting for the day too. There’s some parking by the gym area but also roadside parking too.

Beautiful public space. Great for dog walking, taking the kids for a kick about and mixing between the trees, looking for the wildlife. Squirrels a plenty! It has a fantastic cafe located at the back of the rec on the left, play parks for differing ages of children. Huckleberry Woods - Micro Animal Adventures is a unique destination that caters to both children and adults who are young at heart. This family-owned farm provides an opportunity to immerse oneself in the beauty of rural life through personalized encounters, relaxed visits, and the chance to meet and develop a deep affection for various micro and miniature breeds.
We visited the farm today with my 2 year old and 6 month old. All the staff were incredibly welcoming and were great with my son. We fed the chickens, alpacas and donkeys. My son loved being able to wander around freely in a great space. We had a drink and muffins in the cafe which were delicious. Will definitely be returning and also recommending to friends. Thank you Huckleberry Woods for a lovely morning.
Maria G — Google review
Went here today (24/4/25) with my 2 year old and she loved it. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly if they tried. It was amazing to get up close with the animals and little one loved feeding them, especially the chickens. She also enjoyed feeding the sheep, alpacas and donkeys. I initially thought that 2 hours wouldn't be enough time to see everything and meet everyone but it was perfect. The animals are friendly, healthy and seem really happy which is great to see and the passion from the people working there for the animals is so clear to see. Toby (sorry if spelt wrong) especially. So friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. You made our trip unforgettable and I hope my little one remembers it for a long time. She's been asking to feed Edwina all afternoon since we left, and every sheep she sees is now called rambo. Highly recommend a visit here. I, personally, will be returning every month as it's such a good way to spend a few hours and, with the animals free to roam, a great way of introducing farm animals to younger kids. 10/10 from me.

We really enjoyed our time and would recommend a visit.

Lovely experience, me and my partner went just for fun. It was really good even for the older crowd. The Meet Greet and Groom was an amazing experience, we learned so much and got to know the animals individually which was really cool! Farmer Bill was great as well, he knew so much and was happy to answer every question we had. All together a great way to spend the day! Would Highly Recommend!!

Beautiful place, perfect for a smaller day out, especially for families. Lots to look at and do and staff are very approachable and friendly, ready with a wealth of knowledge to share. We have been twice now and will definitely return again. The quiz this time added another layer, also, although I'm now painfully aware of how bad I am at identifying animal poo, ha ha! My autistic daughter struggles with days out and needs time alone, especially with strangers around and lots of different smells, there were lots of little areas she was able to do this so she was able to enjoy her day. Thank you for having us x

We had a wonderful day at Huckleberry Woods yesterday. My daughter and her friend walked, groomed and fed the miniature donkeys for her 9th birthday and thoroughly enjoyed it. They really enjoyed the pig fishing too and would have loved some more time with the pigs as well so we will be back another time! All the staff were really kind (farmer Bill was great with the girls!), friendly and helpful and the whole session felt well organised. We enjoyed the free roaming animals as well and feeding them at the start. The cafe was very sweet and served delicious treats. We particularly enjoyed the calm atmosphere of the place and respect for the animals. We happened to book through Virgin experience and the booking process was very straight forward. Thank you so much for a great time.

Mount Ephraim Gardens in Faversham, Kent is a magnificent attraction spanning 10 acres of picturesque Edwardian terraced gardens. Visitors can enjoy a variety of leisure activities such as exploring the grass maze and nature trail, taking beautiful photographs and having picnics on the grounds. The venue also offers great opportunities for weddings due to its stunning scenery. There is ample space for children to play and disabled parking spaces are available.
Lucy and Vicky, trying to capture in words just how incredible and welcoming you both were throughout the entire journey of our wedding feels almost impossible. From the initial planning stages right through to the day itself, your attention to detail and genuine care were so evident and remarked upon by so many of our guests. Both Matthew and I found the whole experience to be remarkably relaxing and smooth, something we feel incredibly fortunate to say, knowing how wedding planning can often be quite stressful. This ease was almost entirely down to having such a fantastic team that truly made Mount Ephraim feel like a home away from home for the entire wedding weekend. Now, a month on, as we've had time to process and reflect on everything, we're filled with such fondness and deep appreciation for everything your amazing team delivered. It truly was the best day of our lives, a memory we will cherish forever. Having Lucy pop into the bridal suite on the morning of my wedding was such a lovely and personal moment that I'll always remember. And Vicky, well, you were nothing short of superwoman! Your ability to orchestrate and make everything run so effortlessly smooth, all while maintaining such a warm smile and being so incredibly kind and lovely, was truly astounding. The pictures Vicky captured in her own time, amidst the hustle and bustle of it all, are some of our absolute favourite photos and will definitely have pride of place in our wedding album and frames throughout our home! It truly feels bittersweet that the event is now over, but the comfort of knowing that when we return to Mount Ephraim, myself, Matthew, and our dog Milo will be so warmly welcomed by our wonderful friends there means the world to us. Thank you both, and your entire team, from the bottom of our hearts, for everything. Hannah & Matthew xx Saturday 12th April 2025

We got married at Mount Ephraim on the early May bank holiday weekend in 2024 and it really was perfect. Lucy and Amy were absolutely amazing from the day we viewed the venue right up until after the wedding. The whole day ran perfectly and we can’t thank them enough for this. They really did take care of us and ensured everything ran smoothly for us, our guests and all of our suppliers. All of the rooms are absolutely stunning and had such a beautiful feel to them and having the house to ourselves felt so intimate and special. The house and gardens are absolutely beautiful and it was lovely to be able to stay over the two nights and share the grounds with our family and friends. The catering company who Mount Ephraim work with, Scott Anderson, were amazing and all of guests commented on how lovely the food was. Mount Ephraim really is a beautiful and very special place. We love that we are able to come back and visit the gardens and reminisce. Art Museums
Nestled in the heart of Faversham, the Faversham Society Heritage Centre and Museum is a delightful treasure trove that showcases the town's rich history. Although it may appear small from the outside, this charming museum extends into multiple buildings and offers an impressive array of exhibits spanning from Roman times to modern day. Families will find plenty to engage with, including hands-on activities like drawing, brass rubbing, and dressing up—perfect for keeping young minds entertained!
Took our grandchildren here, aged 9 and 5 and they loved it. Think we were there for about 3 hours. It looks small but this is deceiving as it goes back a long way snd occupies other buildings. Lots of exhibits and lots of hands on things for the kids to try, drawing, brass rubbing, dressing up, telephones and more. Very interesting for both kids and adults and lovely staff. It's free too but donations are welcome. We would throughly recommend .

Absolutely lovely little museum! Rich in history and culture. My best friend and I visited today (two teenagers) and we found it so perfect. Loved finding our way through the rooms and discovering the interactive elements!
Larisa C — Google review
Fantastic museum free entry though donations are welcomed. Larger than you might think. Lots of interesting displays covering history from the Roman times to present day. Definitely worth another visit.
James C — Google review
Absolute gem of a museum - it's not very big, but packs lots in and is completely free to visit (donations appreciated!). The museum follows the history of Faversham from Roman times through to modern day. Lots of hands on exhibits and activities for children - very family friendly. Volunteers are eager to interact and answer questions, and really are a credit to the museum. Our favourite exhibit was the working telephone exchange where we had an interesting chat with a volunteer who used to work in one. My son was fascinated with the workings of the machinery and the volunteer was very patient in explaining everything and allowing him to try out all the phones. Would allow 1-2 hours for your visit - you could see it all in an hour but two hours will give you more time to interact/do activities. Very clean, free toilets on site.
Sarah T — Google review
The museum is a gold mine of Faversham's rich history. Plan your visit but make sure you allow at least a few hours to see everything. The upstairs has replica shops and a world war two exhibition....kids will love the retro phones!

Very interesting collection of local memorabilia. Gives a nice overview of Faversham from the beginning. Some child friendly areas and a. Second floor of costume and household artifacts. Guided tours are available. All free. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I really enjoyed our visit, we particularly wanted to see the ancient copy of the Magna Carta, and wasn't disappointed, we had a guided tour by a very knowledgeable member of the team, called Graham making our visit all the more interesting.

Ancient Ruins
The Faversham Stone Chapel, also known as Our Lady of Elwarton, is a unique historical landmark in England. Located near the Roman Watling Street (now the A2), it is the sole chapel in the country to incorporate a pagan mausoleum. The Roman origins of this site can be observed through its well-preserved 4th-century red brick rows, which are believed to be remnants of the ancient town and cemetery of Durolevum at Ospringe.
Great historical ruins of a little chapel. Well worth a visit, surrounded by a field of Flax.

Fantastic location, especially with poppy in bloom!
Athanasios M — Google review
It’s a very interesting ruined church, the only con is that there’s no place to leave your car, although it’s just 50 metres from the always busy A2. Tip: leave your car at an abandoned factory on Faversham Road (just next to JE and JH Clinch) and then it’s just a less than 5’ walk.

Great place for a wander. No parking around really but still great to sit and contemplate life
Tracy L — Google review
Lovely peaceful place.
Jurgita M — Google review
Took my grandson to have a look and he was very interested in the history of the place
Paul B — Google review
Lovely site with great explanation board and well looked after and clean. Bus stop at the end of footpath on the main road (A2) although no bus stop sign so check with google maps for precise location. Bus did stop even though sign not present. If driving finding a parking spot might be a bit challenging, but maybe there be somewhere along the Four Oaks Road with a short walk.
Claire L — Google review
As on the picture mostly only fundaments left. Place is nice but there is no close car park so you need to walk to it be the really busy road (very unpleasant) and when you get there you can constantly hear the cars.

Victory Wood, a country park in Kent, offers an enchanting summer experience with its diverse range of damselflies, dragonflies, and butterflies. The area boasts the incredible success story of the rare Heath Fritillary Butterfly, making it a remarkable conservation landmark. Recognized for its ecological significance on a national level, over half of Victory Wood is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest, while one third is classified as a Special Area of Conservation.
Nice dog friendly park with lots of friendly & lovely people. Open land for dogs to run free and enjoy themselves. Peaceful and quiet place for a walk with a pretty good view in the background.
Raif V — Google review
Great place to walk the dog, only one bin by the parking area, no toilets or cafe. Free parking in a small carpark. Only one bench style seat by the carpark entrance could do with a few more benches to sit and admire the views. Not wheelchair friendly, only gravel path at the main entrance, then it's normal grassed field undulating paths. With access controlled by gates at set points, they only allow a pushchair or folding disability scooter through. A mobility scoo .ter won't be able to be used, unless it has wings and an engine. The horse, cycle path has a horse low fence gate. Still if your able bodied then there are some great walks around the wood.
Michael — Google review
Lovely park with lots of space and gates that could possibly fit a wheelchair if it was small. It now has a no running free policy for dogs that says they must be under control due to wildlife. So I was unsure if dogs were allowed to be off lead if they were under control and didn't go in "wild" areas or not.
Kitty P — Google review
Absolutely brilliant for dog walking, free, safe, enclosed, and beautiful scenery.. could do with a few more benches for those unable to walk far.
Abigail B — Google review
A let down. Said on line wheelchair accessible, it's not, a little gravel area. Most wheelchairs need gravel or hard surface to go over. Dog walkers do not abide by instructions, no one seems to pick up poop, it was a toal mess of dog poo. Dog owners need to be more responsible, total disgrace.
Lorraine A — Google review
A lovely place to walk with friends, great views, parking etc
David O — Google review
Lovely woods to go for a walk. So many routes and each section is gated and fenced so if you have a dog that runs off then there is no why they can escape. Car park and also they now have a little pop up coffee and tea van which serves food too
Lauren B — Google review
Spacious fields - great for walking dogs but not much going on. I prefer forests, rivers, trees etc. The look out point has interesting info on the Battle of Trafalgar - there has been an attempt to map the positions of the ships with trees but it isn’t quite realised yet.

Denver Sorrell Art is a captivating art space located in Faversham, Kent. The vibrant and picturesque location sets the stage for an immersive experience filled with intriguing contemporary paintings. Denver's bold and colorful artwork showcases his talent as a skilled colorist, drawing visitors in with its modernist and past-post-modern style. Visitors can expect to be greeted by jazz music drifting from the studio, adding to the overall ambiance of the space.
Head turned due to Rigoletto blasting out on a gramophone no less! . - then felt pulled in as I spied the bold petrol- peacock- blue wall upon which currently Hangs a bold fauvist- ish, modernist, yet past-post-modern contemporary painting of a figure probably female in cypress trees. Definitely this artist is a colourist. If you like Art as much as me, you’ll be drawn. And as if being pulled up the stairs, you ascend. At the top you enter an enormous superb space with open Tudor beams under an arched ceiling. The colours of the pieces and the mediums, mainly acrylics and oils are redolent of Picasso, Fauvism, Joan Miro, reminded me too if Duncan Fry’s work and Vanessa Bell’s somewhat. I Love that kind of thing, so for me the visit was appealing. Had a lot to say too both of us ‘cos we are involved in the Arts. A really genial chap too, willing to discuss his work, where else he exhibits, pricing and so on. Go!!
Julie D — Google review
What a fascinating space this place is… I walked in today after feeling drawn to the place, the building is so beautiful and as you walk up the stairs you’re in this most wonderful space full of atmosphere and intrigue… a place to enjoy music and chill out and speak to the artist too! Denver and I had a great chat and I’ll definitely return. I loved his art and loved the vibe.. it’s made my day and I want to go back again. You need to visit because everything about the art, the building, the artist leaves you feeling like you’ve come across a very special place…

The centenary commemoration at the Memorial Cross was very touching. A huge number of people visited the Memorial Garden afterwards.
Barry H — Google review
This WAS a lovely, peaceful, pleasant small neighbourhood garden well maintained by volunteers. Then the council then redesigned it at considerable cost and, unfortunately, it has been ruined by them. The overall effect is very sanitised and the huge stone monuments remind me of memorials from Stalin's Soviet Union. It is very ugly. It makes me sad to see it every time I walk along Stone Street. I miss the old garden and hope that steps will be taken to rectify the damage that has been done.

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the products they offer.
Huge variety of herbs, fruit and nut plants and trees, including lots of native/wild species. Interesting selection of high quality tools, some houseplants and recently some of the best coffee I've had in a while too! Owners are very knowledgeable and friendly, always happy to offer advice. They're keen on limiting plastic waste too. Thoroughly recommended.

Such a lovely little garden centre. Lots of sustainable practices such as bag for life compost, plant feed, bird food. Thoroughly recommended

We're so lucky to have a nursery like this. Mindful of the planet, with a brilliant range of edibles, trees, shrubs etc. Their range of garden tools so carefully sourced, their seasonal gifts inspiring. I wouldn't normally think of a nursery as somewhere to go Christmas shopping but you'd be surprised....plus at weekends you can sit and drink good coffee. Can't get much better :))

Nice variety of wild plants but a bit overpriced for my liking

Bought seasoned wood. Did same last year. Is good quality. You have to buy a large reusable bag which is then filled with logs. £11 per bag. They sell interesting plants at reasonable price and are very echo, no plastic or peat.
