We visited here from New Zealand and came to this tower with a cousin. The steps up were pretty exciting and I felt like Indiana Jones 😆. Some people though might find it a bit claustrophobic because everything is very narrow. It was cool seeing the big bell roughly around the middle tower and then climbing to the top and getting a 360 degree view of Košice city centre. My favourite part was being able to ring the ball at the top and even though it wasn’t insanely big it still made so much noise. My family in the park close by could hear it when we rang it. There was a wire mesh that was there for our safety but also made it a bit annoying to look and take photos. At the end climbing down we had to call a phone number because the door was always locked and a person came and unlocked it, but they told us that it would probably happen so it’s not like they forgot about us or something don’t worry. Anyways, loved the great views and the climb was fun. Ringing the bell was the best part.

This is one of the most fascinating churches I have ever seen! You can buy a ticket and climb the old staircase, visit the Rákoczy crypt and climb the church tower which offers spectacular views of the city centre. There is also a holy mass several times a day.

I visited St. Elisabeth's Cathedral with my wife, who is Slovakian, and our son. Whilst admiring how impressive this building is I often forget, or don't appreciate, that this cathedral was built in 1378 to honour St. Elisabeth of Hungary. Many of the people in this region are deeply affect by Košice becoming part of Czechoslovakia in 1918 and then Slovak Republic in 1993.

A place where you connect the old architecture with new modern architecture… an old building next a new one… old narrow road connecting new streets… a place where you want to spend time in … then you have the main street with cafes and restaurants along both sides..

An outstandingly beautiful Gothic cathedral, right in the center of Kosice. It is the largest cathedral in Slovakia and it can be visited for free. For €3 you can visit the cathedral bell tower, which is a steep and narrow climb that starts outside of the main entrance to the cathedral.

An interesting and compact museum about the building which used to serve as a prison here in Košice with some history of the city and the building. Tickets can be bought in the office several meters away from the museum itself. A ticket that covers 4 museums of the East Slovak Museum costs 8€ for students—which I would say is quite worth it. P.S. if you need English, ask the staff in the office and you will be provided with an audio guide and instructions on where to go. Very friendly staff people!

Went to door of prison which was closed, so asked at the ticket office in executioners bastion and was told we could buy tickets there and she would let us in. So we did that, she let us in and put on a video for us to watch and explained how to use audio guides and then left us to our own devices so we wandered around the museum by ourselves. The museum is very interesting and has lots of interesting things to look at, I would recommend going. Cost is 4 euros for an adult.

If you want to know more about Kosice's history this stop is a must. Miklus Prison shows part of Slovakia history from the years 1200 and the following centuries. You can see weapons, cells, the kitchen and more in three different levels, including a subterranean one, all of this with the help of an audio guide in different languages and introductory video.

It's ok, the signs telling you what the exhibits are need to be in multi language, so all can understand. The audio guide needs to be in some kind of order. The ticketing needs to explain what you get for each price. I got the ticket that includes everything but nothing says once you've done this area got to here. All very disjointed would have been a lot better with better direction

Definitely worth a visit if you are in Kosice

This is an interesting place if you are interested in religion. You can understand a little bit about the history of the bell in front of the tower. There are no observation decks or windows from which you can see the city.

One of the dominant structures in Košice. This hundreds of years old tower would benefit from some kind of renovation, but is still worth visiting - including the St.Urban Bell located outside on a small square. Inside is a small wax museum (historical figures from Košice).

I arrived by train, from Prague, center is great, parks, green with trees, and old medieval monuments, churches. Square rich in restaurants, beer is cheap, in hotel you can buy good slivovice and distilates. I new Kosice for the history, but the visit made me to appreciate the old fashioned and nice place.

Beautiful old tower

Rich variety of historical artifacts, so many things to see. There is a room looks like treasure room full of coins. And the baroque and gothic exhibitions in the first floor were also very nice. And there are paintings on the top floor and a religious exhibition on the grand floor, lastly there is a garden. It pretty much has everything. I spent some hours here. Recommend it!

Beautiful displays and very reasonable price. Wide variety of archeological artifacts and period pieces. Beautiful painting exhibit by local artist. I really enjoyed the vault room and the religious exhibits.

Incredibly interesting nature of Karpat' s with a beautiful exhibition. Very informative and entertaining. I am pleasantly surprised by the great low-cost experience.

Nice place with a great collection of Western Erope golden coins. Small but nice baroque collection. An into into High Tarti range. We enjoyed our time. Admission for adults is 8€

Tried to come visit the museum on a Sunday 12:30. Door is open and a person is sitting in the ticket sales. Arrogant, says that does not speak English and will not sell us a ticket. I try to negotiate (to buy) a ticket through google translate, but apparently his colleague is on break the next half an hour and he does not want to sell anything to us. Breaka are fine, its also fine (but uncommon) to close your museaum in the middle of the day, but this should be communicated. Very dissappinted as we wanted to visit the museum.

Nice museum in town centre with exhibitions about propaganda, the kosice treasury and an old wooden church in the backyard. Usually the church is closed because of chemical reaction, but if you ask the staff nicely, they might open it up for u. But I was a bit disappointed, since I imagined some part about the rich history of eastern slovakia, but actually there was not much about that in the museum, also very little about the city itself. Worth mentioning is the exhibition about the history of the museum itself on the 3rd floor.

Great experience and value. For 30e (for whole faimly) we visited this museum, Natural History Museum and Mikluš Prison (there is even more, but we didn't have enough time). This building houses permanent gold coin exhibition, which is impressive. There are also historical and baroque exhibition (which also seem permanent). Currently there are exhibitions about Gothic period, some popular Slavik musician and painter, all of which are also great. The only downside is that not all information are given in English.

Lovely show, it seems to keep going all evening! Nice selection of quite random songs too, all a bit of fun.

A stunning fountain both in the day and at night, when the lights start about 6pm. So lovely to just sit and listen to the music with the mesmirising water. Also seeing families and children enjoy it so much.

In Košice, the Singing Fountain on Hlavná Street is such a nice spot — perfect for summer refreshment and good times. I spent so much time here with Tomi: the water jets, music, playful energy, kids everywhere, just full of life and positivity. The fountain isn’t just beautiful, it’s fun: we’d sit nearby, relax, watch the show, hear laughter, and feel the city breathe. Interesting fact: The Singing Fountain was built in 1986, making it the oldest “singing fountain” in the former Czechoslovakia.

The singing fountain is a great water-feature, complete with a light-show and musical background. Unfortunately it doesn't always work and there's no published schedule. We weren't lucky enough to see the light show.

Haven't been inside (yet), but on the outside this building is absolutely magnificent and beautiful both during the day and night!

I went here with my family and it was so cool seeing animals I had never seen in my life. The zoo was so big with so many animals to see. I liked the little food outlet there which we stopped by for some food and a Kofola. The peacock at the entrance was nice for taking photos but got slightly aggressive towards the end and even ran at a young g boy! 😲😅 I especially liked the Meerkats and how one would stay guard while the others did all sorts of random things. Unfortunately we didn’t see the Lynx and the wolfs weren’t there at the moment. Amazing overall and would definitely go again.

Really good for kids , little boring for adults . Price not so bad . You need to Pay for car park 3 euros a day on top of entrance ticket. Zoo is located about 15 min drive from centrum of Kosice.

We could have certainly spent more time here. There was plenty of paid parking for the zoo and other nearby attractions, including a summer bobsled. The price to enter the zoo varies on the age of the visitor, the month, and whether you want to visit the DinoPark. We decided not to see the DinoPark and for two adults, and our 11 year old it was €30.00. Although, confusingly, had we had an extra child it would have cost us less. Anyhow, as a one off, it was worth it. There were many animals that we haven't seen in other European Zoos. The enclosures seemed a bit small but this selfishly provided a much better chance of seeing the animals. Parts of the zoo are on substantial slopes and I did see visitors with pushchairs struggling to get around. There were a number of stalls and a cafe offering food and refreshments, plenty of picnic benches and an abundance of wasps.

The Zoo itself is very big and you will do a lot of walking and conquer some small hills as the pavilions for various animals are not so close. You will find all the main animals, that your kids are looking for. I would add but more signs on where the animals are exactly located. The environment is very nice and feels like being in the forest. Recommending checking when they feed the animals with commentary as this is very nice to see and you get interesting information. The Zoo is quite remote from the Košice. Don't rely on the navigation as it can take you through not very much maintained roads, although appearing the shortest way.

The zoo was one of the best I've ever been to and it had a bunch of exotic animals that I've never seen before with my own eyes. I was also happy with the directions given by the park, because they were somewhat reliable and didn't require any knowledge of Slovakian to understand. The only negative things about the park are that most of the restaurants are closed and the distances between the different habitats are long.

It is always pleasure to visit this place :) No matter how full parking is there is always space for you to get around playground, animals, coffee or Dino park. The best this time, was to see small bears to fight and one of them even climbed the tree. We recommend to take some vehicles if you are with kids 🛴😊

The Zoo is a wonderful place for the whole family. I do recommend visiting the Dinopark if you have a little fan of the dinosaurs.

The greenhouses are fairly large, so we enjoyed the visit on a rainy day. A highlight of our trip was the temporary exhibition of live tropical butterflies. One downside is that there’s no audio-guide option, and I would have appreciated some exploration activities for kids to make it more engaging for families.

The butterfly house is absolutely stunning - filled with a large number of colorful butterflies flying all around. A perfect spot to unwind and enjoy nature.

I recently visited this botanical garden and had such a wonderful experience! Everything about it was impressive—the views, the wide variety of plants, and even the bunnies and fish that added a special charm to the place. The greenhouse was incredible, giving off a completely different vibe. I especially loved how realistic the “rainforest” section felt, complete with the sounds that made you feel like you were truly there. The highlight for me, though, was definitely the butterfly room—it was absolutely magical and by far the best part of the visit. The garden itself is very massive, so it takes at least 2–3 hours to see everything properly—maybe even longer because there’s just so much to explore. Luckily, they provide a map to help you find your way around. There’s also a lovely café where you can relax and enjoy a wide range of drinks and sweets, which was the perfect break during my visit. The service was also very good. The staff were friendly and helpful, and even though not everyone spoke English, I still managed to communicate just fine. Their kindness really added to the overall experience. Overall, I left feeling very pleased and would highly recommend this garden to anyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing day out.

Despite the weather being overcast, I had a superb morning walking through the gardens and the greenhouses looking at all the plants. There was one greenhouse full of cacti and another of citrus fruits, plus a larger one full of green trees and shrubs, many species endangered in the wild. Well worth the €4《correct as of 2024》entrance fee. There is also a little cafe. Tram 7 stops nearby - stop: Botanicka Zahrada..

Beautiful and interesting botanical garden, it came unexpected but Kosice has a nice one. Affordable and loads to see, even few small animals like fish and insects. Lots of plants and varieties. Definitely recommended. However the staff was in his feelings.

Overrated place, trying to copy Berlin (that is copying itself for so long already too). This is not for hip people but for the wannabes. Sad.

The food and atmosphere was good. But the staff were rude, cranky. They dont bring you the drinks. You have to go and carry it by yourself. I had wine, glass and mineral water so I had to go up and down all the time. You need to pay each order. The waitress ask me for a tip during the payment and this was really weird. I mean she just does her job, take one glass of wine and give it to me. For what actual service should I tip? I would understand they charge and dont bring drinks outside, but inside its just no brainer. I have never seen place with this bad services and I dont intend to come back.

Amazing pace, you can easily spend the whole day here! I worked here in the morning and then came back in the evening to grab something to eat and have a couple of drinks. Great vibe, cool interior, great garden and the food was delicious. The service could be better and the music choice was just weird.

Very nice place and space for hanging out with friends. Many different events and concerts, better check out in advance, so you don't miss any, or stumble uppon some.. :)

There was a temporary exhibition for 5 euro which was interesting and a free interactive experience which was lackluster. Free cloakroom and toilets avaliable. Halls A and b were closed which sadly meant I felt I missed out on the real experience as mine was quite short for what I saw (C and Q).

We were the only visitors on a chilly October afternoon. It's well presented, with plenty of English and a few interesting paintings.

The gallery is situated in the centre of Kosice. The building is very nicely and adequately renovated with a contemporary touch on the inside. I did not like the exhibitions that were on at the time. Otherwise, it is a good cultural spot to consider when visiting the city.

The atmosphere is nice and friendly. The waitress was a bit rude when we were setting the reservation but all seems well.throughout dinner. Food was good but could do with some minor improvements. All in all an ok experience.

We found this place while walking. We loved here. I suggest you their vegetable risotto, dumplings, polish cheesecake, sandwich with pear and goat cheese. Staff was friendly, prices are very reasonable. It’s on the most well-known street with good quality of food. We paid around 10€ per person.

Absolutely delicious melt in mouth food. Good price and service. Loved the Halushky for starters. Pork cheeks with mash n beetroot. For dessert had the cheese filled dumplings with raspberries... tot the real pieces of fruit in the cider was a nice touch. Do go for it in this cosy gem.

A superb statue located on the main pedestrian street in Kosice. It depicts the Virgin Mary in her success of overcoming the plague epidemic in 1710. The column is 14 meters high and can be viewed from all angles.

A very beautiful monument built in old Town kosice, second largest city in Slovak republic. The column is situated in a small park and commemorates the gratitude to Mary for an end to the plague epidemic from 1709 and 1710. It was erected at the place of medieval gallows at Fő utca (Main Street, now called Hlavná ulica) in 1723. Local legend holds that the relics of Saint Valentine are hidden beneath the structure.

It was a working day and the museum was super quiet. I had a feeling that we were alone there :) The museum is nice, and has a science playing area for kids.

It's a mish mash of many different scientific areas and there is no rhyme or reason. From metallurgy to old telephones to electrical devices to dentistry, the building is like a maze just meandering from room to room. Even so it's worth 5 euros but know going in that only about 1/3 of the exhibits are translated to English!

Decided to go to a special event in Košice. We bought a ticket where we were told everything including programs is free. Yet we came in up front and discovered it’s not free, you have to pay extra and all tickets are already sold out. No mention of that in the event bulletin.

I visited on a rainy day and was one of the few visitors, so it was a pleasant experience. The exhibitions were, for me, very interesting and I appreciated the descriptive English texts. The cashier was a very lovely woman who did her best to explain where to go, what to do etc., despite our language barrier. Two thumbs up for both the exhibitions and service.

I am an American that loves arty independent films. I absolutely loved my first experienceay Kino Usmev. I saw Sugarcane this evening it was delightful.The theater is spacious and very comfortable. I ordered a veggie burger it was real good. A nonalcoholic Citron beer. I plan on watching films there all week. I will be returning to Kosice a lot in the future and plan on always visiting here. The place is really cozy and aesthetically pleasing, service nice and food tasty. One thing is that it’s quite expensive and takes a long time to wait for food. I only had tea and it was tasteless and cost 3,60€.

Extremely poor organization. They are unable to scan barcode tickets from smartphones, you have to print the ticket. If you forget, or rely on the fact that it's 2022 and everyone can scan barcodes, you're going to wait in line for half an hour to go to *one* booth where they can scan. Traveling by car in Slovakia is always a chore. You have to pay separately for the zoo and the Dino park. Fair few animals even some foreign tourists managed to find the place. Not overcrowded. Gift shops at the start and food spots half way through the zoo and Dino park. Food hal way through the zoo was not that good and I didn't try the Dino park food. Dino park is definitely not for very small kids my 2.5year old boy that is normally very outgoing and fearless was scared and cried the whole way through not getting off hands so much so I was very sorry for him and basically just speed walked where I could. The dinosaur are very realistic they move occasionally and make sounds(which was probably the scary part for my son) just after the food section is a hurricane simulator that blows a lot of air and some strobe lighting with emergency stop button that doesn't make really make a big deal out of you stopping it so no drama. After that there is a little kids tattoo shed. Just after that is a 3D theatre with animated movie about dinosaurs that I didn't get to experience because my daughter was naugthy. One most surprising and very interesting attraction at the same location is a robot of a baby dinosaur it's silent and well engineered piece of tech remote controlled (cordless) by a staff member dressed as a ranger. Very silent you can't even hear the motors of it small thing about 0.5m tall and about 1.3m long dinosaur kid's were walking by it and able to touch it take some pictures etc. robot itself was running around and then laying down to encourage kids to touch it. There are a few good spots to take pictures like big egg shells that will fit your kids inside with no issues or head of other dinosaur with bench in fron of it. At the end of it is a gift shop. The whole Dino park is literally inside of forest adding to the atmosphere but the terrain is also quite rough especially the second part when going downhill be careful as you could easily slip and fall ( I haven't seen anyone falling but everyone was particularly careful on that part) my opinion is there should be some stairs done and the whole zoo and Dino park could be better prepared for pushchairs mobility scooters or generally disabled people as there was areas where person with walking stick would struggle nevermind wheelchair.(So that's why I reduced the star - nobody from our party was disabled we had pushchair that we could handle as a big group but this could be done better) There is no clear signage on where to go or how to go etc so it's mostly free roaming the place is quite big and you'll need to spend there a significant portion of your day to see everything. I believe they offer some camping options as well but you'll have to check with them how it works as I have no idea ... I have seen some tents and firepit and my party members mentioned it's like a summer camp for kids if you'd like to leave your little rascals at the zoo lol.

This place is sooo much fun! A 3D cinema, some hurricane ride box machine thing. Pretend dinosaurs to look at, and some cafes.

Wonderful place for events related to culture. This place is 3 min walk from city centre, and 10 min from train and bus station, so its really accessible. Inside, there is a welcoming hall where all of the guests gather before event. In the middle there is huge hall where events are presented to audience. All in all, very comfortable, nice and suitable place for cultural experience.

Villa Regia is a cozy spot in the center of Košice with a warm, rustic atmosphere. The pork ribs were excellent — tender, juicy meat with a well-balanced, slightly sweet and spicy glaze. Served with grilled corn and pickled cucumbers, the dish was both hearty and well-presented. One downside: only one type of beer was available. For a restaurant of this level, the drink selection felt too limited.

Best bryndzové halušky ever! The cheese was incredibly tasty and you couldn't stop eating it. The oyster mushroom was excellent as well! Fully recommend this place.

My wife and I were in Kosice for a wedding and arrived a day earlier so we could experience a bit of Slovakia. From start to finish our stay at Villa Regia was amazing, our room was lovely, and all the staff we so friendly and welcoming. The food in the restaurant was excellent and I would recommend trying some of the traditional Slavik dishes there. To top it off, we had an early flight and the staff made us sandwiches which we were given when we left. Thank you Villa Regia, we will be back!

Beautiful apartment in an original building from 1435 with a great location. There's a lovely rooftop porch, pool table, and plenty of games. Nicely equipped kitchen with coffee, tea and plenty of dishes. Air conditioner worked really well.

In Košice, the National Theatre was such a nice stop — we were here with Tomi just before our run started, and the architecture really stood out. The building feels grand and historic, with lots of character. I appreciated being here, seeing the space and feeling tied into the city’s culture. Interesting fact: The theatre was built between 1879 and 1899 in a neo-baroque style by architect Adolf Láng.

Beautiful historical building outside and inside. Enjoyed watching the ballet "Doktor Jajboli" with my daughter, awesome costumes and play. Would gladly come again to watch something else.

Nice short trip, around 25 minutes up the hill. No special views. Staff are children, last touristic railway from this kind in Slovakia from communist era. At the top station you have a restaurant and you can relax. Bus 14 brings you every 30 minutes to the lower station.

What a nice experience. You can visit it for free and have photos inside the trains or you can have a ride at specific hours and prices.

Maybe it's worth going with preschool children. And for the whole family (we were five) it seemed too expensive (35€) - at least for this price we expected more. You have to check the timetable when the train leaves - we didn't know that and waited for the train whole hour.

Interesting to see an old locomotive in motion. Kids are directing, checking tickets and gives you headsups, but appart from that nothing special. The rail goes paralell with the road, not in the woods.

My kiddo absolutely loved it! Lots of planes were gifted from different countries. Besides of the planes there were cars and one tank too. Totally worth it and actually did exceeded our expectations. Expect to spend at least 1.5h there.

It rather looks like collection of old aircrafts. Not very big exposition, but still it was interesting to observe it. The museum also has interesting collection of old cars. The museum is right near the airport, so probably, you will be lucky to watch landing or take off of aircrafts. There is a toilet available and a bar with some drinks. Well kept museum and you can get a good understanding how the underground prison operated back in the days. Not many objects though and mainly all in slovakian only. Ok, for the price.

I would recommend it to anyone who is into history. The Miklos dungeon is shows a lot history about the history of the city and you can see how the executioner lived his life back in the 17th century. They have audio guide for the attraction. We went there on sunday and it was not crowded. The staff speaks both hungarian, slovakian and english. We had a really great time there. It was worth the 4 EUR. I really wish to go back once when the art market is open.

It’s a replica of Rákóczy Ferenc’s house in Rodostó, Turkey where he spent his last years in exile after his uprising was defeated. Also, there are lots of memorabilia from his reburial in 1906 in Kosice. The lady from the museum was super nice and walked me around and explained everything - she made my visit more personal. The other part of the museum, the executioner’s bastion & the prison is super interesting too. The entrance was only 6 EUR - well worth it.

Visited this morning. They were pretty packed with two tables free, we wanted to stop for a quick coffee and some soft drink. It took them half an hour to bring our order since ordering. Not that they had so much to do but just that there were 4 women at the counter and three of them were talking to eachother very loudly the whole time and only one girl was working. She brought us the menu, took our order and also brought it to our table, we saw the same for all other customers. Coffee was burnt probably due to high temperature setting on the coffee machine. Place was nice but it was nothing compare to the waitress. She was very nice, recommended us the beer eactly for our taste and was constantly asking if we need something. Literally one of the best service i received in my life. I got the burger and itwas very tasty juicy and bun was soft. We also got tacos, one with pulled pork was good but beef and chicken were just ok. In our opinion just 3 tacos with pulled pork would be better. There is like constantly 20 beers of various kinds on tap. I think no more comment is neede on that. There was also calcetto (table football) which we also liked a lot. All in all this is one of the best pubs not just in Kosice.

Recommend place by a friend and it is just awesome place - over 20 beers on tap, one better than other and the food - whole other level. I had Pastrami chilli cheese fries and it was perfect. Will definitely return for some more.

It is closed most of the time due to legal dispute. Only on some special occasion it is possible to visit with a guide. Still very pretty to see also from outside. It also has interesting history... For example it was first palace of first president after WW2.

A beautiful palace with a small plaza in front. It wasn't clear to us if the place could be visited as there were no signs and the gate was locked. However, the palace itself is superb and looks recently renovated.

A once in a decade chance to see inside this historic building. Needs significant input to restore it to its former glory. It's a beautiful building in a prime location.

It's a castle, but it looks like Catholic church..... But it's close to the Public. This Structure is next to the Beautiful Park. I wish I could enter the building.

You cannot go inside. Jakab Palace is a captivating Neo‑Gothic gem in Košice’s Old Town, erected between 1899–1903 by architect Árpád (Peter) Jakab using reclaimed stones from St. Elisabeth’s Cathedral . Its striking green-tiled turrets, ornate facades, and fairytale-like spires evoke medieval grandeur on the corner of Mlynská and Štefánikova streets . Historically significant, it briefly served as the Czechoslovak presidential seat post–WWII and later housed the British Council . Though the interior is usually closed due to legal disputes, the exterior remains an enchanting photo opportunity. Nestled by Mestśky park and near transport hubs, it’s a must‑see architectural highlight of Košice.

I recently visited Aupark Košice Mall, and it was an amazing experience! The mall is really big, with all major brands available, making it a great shopping destination. Even though I just came for a short walk, I was impressed by the vibrant atmosphere and well-maintained space. It’s a perfect place for shopping, dining, or simply enjoying a stroll. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Košice!

Aupark is docela fajne, as the locals would say. One can find all the usual stores, it is relatively close to the city center, park and main railway station, so it is possible to see more than aupark alone. Underground parking, first free but then 2.5 EUR/hour. Sunday first 3 hours free, other days only 30 minutes.

A large shopping mall which provides all the amenities that you can expect from a good one. Food court on the third floor has a good selection of food.

High prices for water and other basic stuff, Wich shouldn't cost that much, but overall good place

Mall slowly opens at 7 AM but the toilets don’t. They have benches with electrical outlet… that don’t work. EDIT : I came again 2 days after at 14:00, all toilets at each floor were still closed.

the place itself is beautiful. i came in and had the mixed charcuterie board and a red wine recommended to me. the wine was gorge!!!! the only thing i noted is that the waiters could be a bit more inviting and caring. maybe it was a language barrier.

Cosy place for a nice italian wine time between friends. The owner loves Italy and import himself wine cheese and other specialities. He knows toscana like his home...

Great atmosphere for wine drinking. Staff was very helpfull. Food was also great. You can expect italian style food with many many kinds of wine. Wine cider with panini was excelent. Easy 5 stars.

Best wine bar in kosice. Super cute, great for a date night or just a casual glass of wine. The staff is friendly and super knowledgeable. We tried a few wines and loved them all. We are pretty picky when it comes to the wine....also Very reasonable price. If you are looking for a wine bar, this is it. We tried a few of them in Kosice.

we stumbled upon this place on a work trip. Unbelievably gracious atmosphere and delicious wine.

My friend and I hiked from south downtown of Kosice to this spot. At least two thirds of the way was exposed in the sun. The last part had lots of shades which was more enjoyable. You can also opt to drive here. Remains of the Kosice Castle, Historicka delinka Hrandva and Observation Deck are all connected. The view of the city wasn't spectacular but if you crave for outdoor activity, this is the easiest place to reach. The price for climbing up the tower was about 2 Euros.

The view is amazing There is an entrance fee of 1.5€ (0.5€ for a child/ senior) Really recommended! The forest nearby (about 1KM walking) is also greenish and recommended for family walkings

Great place not far from Košice to have a walk and climb the tower to get some views. Really warm day when I went and views were bit moggy/hazy. Nice to walk in shade of the trees and then also nice refreshing breeze climbing up the tower.

Observation tower with stunning views- one side Kosice, another one mountains. Free parking available 10 mins by walk from the attraction.

great place for photos. From the tower you have a view of the entire city. Great place to visit. And also if you turn left from the observation tower, there will be a free platform where there is also a good view of the city, it is also free. + there are free binoculars there.

Tasty food, perfect mint tea (made from real mint leaves, not from bag). 4,5€ for scrambled eggs or omelette. 2,2€ for the tea. The vibe we felt there was little bit weird, but the food compensated for that :)

Good morning! About a week ago I was in your cafe. Very tasty coffee and croissant, but the service seemed a bit rude to me. Today I decided to have breakfast in your cafe, went to the bar and asked for a menu. The cafe was practically empty, maybe maximum 3 tables were occupied. I asked the girl behind the bar a couple of questions (I don’t remember exactly what) and wanted to place an order right away, to which I was told: “no, sit at a table” (completely impolite). I explained that I was in a hurry and would like to order now (a three-egg omelette and a cappuccino - it’s not hard to remember), to which I was told completely impolitely: “NO, YOU HAVE TO SIT AT A TABLE”. This is the first time I’ve encountered such rude treatment, just as the first time I threw the menu … and if your employees are in a bad mood, it’s not my problem. At the very least, please respond politely to politeness and be kind to your customers. AND if your employee doesn’t like her job, let her keep her negativity to herself!!!!!!!!!!

Very nice place, good atmosphere with very kind people. We were there with my wife and ate croissant and nutella with cappucino, and tea with oatmeal. Both was really good and fresh. Cappucino was excelent prepared with tasty coffe and firm crema. Croissant was nice soft and bit crunchy. Oatmeal was good flavored with heat treatted apple. For this breakfast we pay around 10€ We plan to come back soon.

A cozy café in the heart of Košice close to the national museum. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They make fabulous coffees and cakes. The decor is stylish and pleasant. I really enjoyed the café and will return upon my next visit to Kosice.

I experienced the most unprofessional behaviour here in my life. I arrived there with my 9 friends. They forgot some orders, then they were run out of hams, but it was a complete mass who got it and who not.... By the time everyone finished and also paid the bill, one of my friend still didn't get the ratatouille. After 45 minutes. They said it can be ready in any minute but we cancelled it, we had to go. Of course we didn't want to pay for that plate. A guy came out to talk to me, and he told me that "african people are starving, because of people like you" I don't think so it is acceptable to lecture a guest like that. We were not rude, I cancelled the order in a polite way and we were as patient as possible, but we are not paying for a bad service and so many mistakes.

I was very disappointed with this place. I ordered a frappe and specifically asked what it contained- no one mentioned sugar, not even the waiter. When I realized it was full of sugar, I asked to change it, and they brought me one without sugar. To my surprise, the owner charged me for both frappes, even though I only drank one. He refused to refund me, claiming I “knew what I ordered.” And that “is my problem “. This is terrible customer service!!. Lost me as a customer for 4 euros. Never coming back

We went here recently for a later dinner and were surprised very positively about the quality of the service and the food. The staff was very polite and quick, the food was prepared in 14 mins and it was awesome. We went for local wine and it was fine. Payment by card is possible. No reservation is needed. Restrooms are clean. All check & anytime again. ####update 13.05.2023#### We came back for dinner and for breakfast next morning. The quality and service are still awesome. Thank you folks, you are doing an outstanding job! 👏

The food was tasty. Bistro is placed on a corner of intersection, but it is not really crowded so it is still pretty nice. Unfortunately, there was one thing that threw us away so much that we did not decide to try some more of the menu. I feel like as soon as waitress learned that we are Polish, she started to treat us worse.

We sat down for lunch — the place looked very nice at first. Unfortunately, just a few hours later, both of us ended up with stomach pain. Sadly, we won’t be coming back.

The airport is small and compact, the man at the X-ray of things is clearly satisfied with life, normal people said that it was okay to skip the bottle, there was a little tonic at the bottom, which is not available everywhere and for this employee it is too expensive, so he was there shouting that it is impossible in every country there is such a who always ruins the whole impression of the country

We fly through this airport frequently. It's compact and very convenient. We flew to London on September 30, 2025. Everything was fine. The customs officer at baggage inspection surprised us. During the inspection, she saw tightly packaged seasonings we'd bought at a store (they're not liquid). These are seasonings for making soups and borscht. We often carry small quantities of these. They've never raised any concerns with the customs officers. She made us give them to her. We were surprised she didn't throw the contents in the trash in front of us. If she had any doubts, she should have opened the contents, checked them, or thrown them out. She just took them for herself and that was it. At no other international airport with frequent travelers has this hermetically sealed product generated such "interest" from staff. A negative experience.

Definitely the best small local airport in Czech and Slovak republic with no rush, queues and traditional problems of many huge airports. Not many direct flights, but good connection to Vienna or Warsaw (soon to Zürich as well) with connections to hundreds of destinations. The airport has lounge, small children playground, Schengen and Non-Schengen gates, a little lookout tower, duty free shop and some bars and cafés.

Airport is really small. Flights are always delayed. I was flying to Zadar, it was delayed for 3,5 hours; The last bus to the city leaves at 10pm. What a shame. Taxi will ask you for 25€, but it takes 15 min to drive to the city. I add here schedule of the bus to the city ( railway) and from the railway to the airport

Drinks are affordable and quite a few food places. Very cramped and rude angry arrogant staff. Very weird how you are put in the boarding lounge 1.5 hours before departure even before the plane arrives!

While the airport facilities themselves are generally acceptable - renovated, clean, and accessible, although only warm tap water was available, my overall impression is negative due to the issues encountered. Upon arrival, I was informed that my son's small Trunky suitcase, which has consistently been accepted as a small cabin bag on numerous flights with various airlines, would now be classified as a large bag. This decision incurred a €55 airline fee, plus an additional €15 airport handling fee, totaling €70. This was an unprecedented charge for this particular suitcase, making it the first time I have encountered such an issue. Given this experience, I will unfortunately not risk traveling with this suitcase again. The staff members I interacted with were notably rude and unhelpful, refusing to provide their names when asked. Their demeanor created the impression that their primary objective was to extract as much money as possible from travelers. I witnessed a family ahead of me, also with two small children's suitcases, being forced to pay €140 to bring their bags onboard, highlighting a consistent pattern of excessive charges. This policy effectively renders my son's suitcase unusable for future travel, as the cost of checking it now exceeds its value.

Small, nice, and useful airport. It's incomparable with the high international airport globally around the whole world. But this one is working well. Departures and arrivals are smooth and fast. The connection with the city by public transportation is also good and easy to reach. So nice experience at all. Nothing bad about 😁
