Beautiful park in Tubingen. Plenty of space to walk around and enjoy nature. Amazing views of the river and the city. The trees provide great shade on a hot day. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the outdoors. We really enjoyed our visit to this area in Tubingen.
Very green and peaceful. Come and relax. But there are no restrooms and you can not cycle. You can take walk. Water is dark green color but many boats available. You can swim also.

Stunning Chuch in Tübingen. It is free to enter. On the day we visited they were playing the organ and it was awesome to listen to as we toured the church. This church was built between 1470 and 1499. The bell tower dates back to 1411 and is Romanesque architecture while the church itself is gothic. It houses 14 grave stone monuments in the Wurttemberg Family Mausoleum. It is an evangelical parish. The steps on the side are great places to sit in the area square. We loved our visit!

Free entry. During my visit nice music was played live. It is every Saturday at 8pm a little concert.
This late gothic church from 1470 was one of the first churches to convert to Martin Luther's protestant churches. It houses a large amount of royal tonbs and has some stunning wood carvings on the benches. On top it, has the Schäufelein Altar, an altar from 1520 that was painted by an assistant of Hans Schäufelein who was a student of Albrecht Dürer, one of Germany's most famous painters.

When I was at the first time arrived in Tübingen in October,2024, I tried this restaurant with my friend. Everything was ok, the food was ok too but the day after we both had FOOD POISONING, we had DIARRHEA, VOMIT and FEVER. So please avoid this place.
Really nice food. The lunch menu was nice and a decent size for the price. Its a lovely place to sit outside in the summer and i always really enjoy it. My one complaint is that the tap water is about the size of a shot. A tiny glass less than half full and they don’t let you order more which is weird.
Always a good restaurant to have a great view of the Neckar and spend good time in a group.

Tübingen is only an hour and half from Stuttgart by regional train. The city dates from the 6th or 7th century, when the region was populated by the Alamanni people. The old castle dates from around year 1.000. The city was totally destroyed during the WW but many buildings were restored. We can still see special details from the original constructions. A very typical German town worth visiting.
It's a beautiful square surrounded by antique buildings. On and off, there are events such as the Christmas market or currently the "Chocolart", a chocolate themed market.
Amazing place to visit. We arrived during an old town festival with traditional french and Italian products. Many live singers, many small Events great restaurants and lots of crowds. The place to be in every weekend!

Since it is the student city with one of the oldest university there are various restaurants and shops with reasonable price. I have visited this place in May and there are full of flowers decorating in the city.
We went there as a group of more than 100 people for a wedding and reserved few 'Stocherkahn' and had a great riding together with the couple. It was absolutely an amazing experience for all of us including our children! It takes about 1.5 hours and around 1km is the normal round. If it rains, you can have a coffee and snacks party under the bridge. You can also plan for a 2-3 hours of City walk. There will be always something for you to enjoy. You can also go to the city garden beside Neckar river and relax or do a picnic! It is a beautiful lively city! So why wait...? Plan a trip!

The ride from Herrenberg to Tübingen is like watching a live wallpaper—green meadows on both sides, super peaceful. Both train n bus work fine, covered under the Deutschland ticket. Took the market route up to the castle, not the stairs—view from the top is stunning. Checked out the museum n exhibition, def worth it if ur into science n history. The town’s vibe is amazing—old colorful buildings, plants climbing the walls, and that little island park in the middle is perfect for a walk. Great weekend getaway from Stuttgart.
The museum has a very nice collection of ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs and remains from Egyptian civilisation. The items of ivory from the ice age are very precious and takes us back to thousands of years. The guided tour in English was really insightful and interesting.
One of the best & the most interesting aspect of the museum is the collections from ice age. These rare items give an insight into the brilliance & geniuses of our ancestors who inhabited the area which is modern day Ulm, Heidelberg and around. These are simply brilliant stuffs and I would recommend everyone who is in (or visits) Tübingen to appreciate the amazing collection of this museum.
PS - Don't forget to see one of the largest barrels in Germany. :)

Although this place is not huge, the three floors are packed full of interesting technological specimens. The entire museum is tacked tight with interesting things to see. My absolute favourite is the vintage motorcycle collection. They have a motorcycle for display that was built in 1914 - the oldest machine in their entire(?) collection. They have model trains, engines, cars, and toys in shelves all round the museum. Old vintage cars are on display on just about every floor - including one of the first ever Mercedes. Every available space on the walls, floors, and even ceilings are decorated with something on display - vintage posters, old fuel pumps, model castles, etc. Even some of the tables in the restaurant are glass shelves with models on display.
It's worth spending the time exploring the entire museum.
Just a PSA: this is a museum and the displays should really be looked at and not touched. There are no physical barriers but out of common sense and respect one should really touch any of these priceless artefacts. One must certainly NOT sit one's child in the driver's seat of a vintage vehicle for a photo unless there is a very obvious sign allowing one to do so (there are a few vehicles that do allow people to sit in it).

One of the best collections on - mainly - Mesozoic marine reptiles I've seen to date. For, although thanks to the South-German palaeontological treasure trove that is the Poseidonia shale there are many museums in the area with collections on the subject, there are few that so splendidly bring in specimens from elsewhere to illustrate aspects of comparative anatomy.
Thus, not only will you find beautiful specimens from the region around Tübingen here - including various species of wonderfully preserved ichthyosaurs - you'll be able to offset these against plesiosaurs, pliosaurs, nothosaurs, mosasaurs, crocodiles and more. In addition, the museum houses a small sample of dinosaur remains - including locally found plateosaurs and a stegosaurus - as well as some stunning non-vertebrate fossil pieces, amongst which the blocks of ammonites stand out.
