There is parking nearby. The castle is open till 9pm in the summer, there is no entrance fee. Once you are there you can enjoy a mesmerizing view. There is no option for walking to the top with a stroller but you can reach the first level from where you can still enjoy a great view.

Very interesting place to wander for an hour or two. Some impressive remains and, aside from some areas taped off for safety, pretty much allowed to explore everywhere. Would be good to see some info plaques around, but wiki will give you the history of the place. I didn’t visit the shop or museum so can’t comment on either

The Venetian Castle of Parga is a must-visit! The walk up is a bit steep, but once you reach the top you’re rewarded with stunning panoramic views over Parga, the bay, and the Ionian Sea. The ruins themselves are fascinating to wander through, with plenty of little pathways and hidden corners full of history. There are also cafés inside where you can relax and enjoy the scenery. A perfect mix of history, views, and atmosphere – definitely worth the climb!

Everytime I walk into an old church, castle or big ruin I start thinking ”how the heck did they build this hundreds years back in time. The same question now. This is an old ruin that was built to protect Parga from invasion. From land and see. There are a lot of dark rooms and passages all over. A nice view to both side of Parga and the see. In the middle of the ruin you can find a restaurant. Didn’t try that today. Interested hour spent there.

The castle is in the city center. It's fascinating to see the cannons that defended Parga centuries ago. There are some excellent photo opportunities from the top. You can see the beach and the island clearly. However, I found the castle to be in disrepair.

The fort is a fascinating reminder of Parga’s strategic position between empires during far more turbulent times in history. It’s a pity that only the ruins remain and that there is no museum to provide more context. Still, it’s well worth a visit – not least for the spectacular views it offers over the surrounding area.

The castle itself is not a great condition, but its worth visiting for the great views! It is free to enter and there is a nice caffe there.

As you can see in the attached pictures, a fairly large beach with many sun loungers for those who want to sit on their "towels", the place dedicated to them is at the end of each side of the beach, different from, for example: Kefalonia where you could find places for towels on a much larger area. The price for a set of sun loungers starts from €25 in the first rows/€20 in the second row & €15 the rest. There is parking. There are bars and restaurants related to each beach sector. It was not to my taste, very crowded but tastes are not discussed.

Beautiful large beach with soft sand on the north side and small rounded pebles on the south side. Water is crystal clear and has a beautiful turquoise collor near the beach. There are plenty of caffes with sun beds for rent and there are also a lot of free zones.

Fantastic tour of the smallest museum. The guide was super good and dedicated— We became familiar with the traditional method of olive oil production. The guided tasting gave us a clear understanding of the differences between olive oil types. It's a must-try 🙂

The olive oil tasting was great. The oils were very good, with an explanation of what makes a good oil. The tour of the old factory, and explanation of how everything worked was very interesting. Can highly recommend a visit.

I highly recommend a visit! The factory is very interesting, it's cool inside, which is very good in the heat. We watched a film about the collection and production of olive oil, tasted it, and also bought something as a souvenir. I was quite satisfied with the tour.

Fascinating tour with an excellent guide who also led a brilliant olive oil tasting. We bought two bottles to take home! What an undiscovered gem!

We spent a lovely afternoon checking out the olive oil museum, which is on the site of a former family-run olive oil factory. We learned a huge amount about how to taste and identify quality olive oil during the tasting, which was included in our ticket (€5 each!). The team there were super friendly and engaging, and were experts when it came to olive oil and its relationship to the Parga area. We bought some orange flavoured olive oil in the shop afterwards, which was absolutely delicious. Hugely recommended if you have chance to pop in!

Sand on the beach.Perfect view, but very very overcrowded and dirty.... we could see fags on the sand. There is no control for pets and we had to witness an awful view of a dog shitting on the sand ..it was disgusting 🫣 also 90% of the sun-beds are reserved and there are no labels for it. Would definitely not recommend to be paid attention tonight to the beach, because the virw is magnificent.

The main beach in Prague is very crowded, for those who want to sit on their own towels, the space dedicated to them is at the ends of the beach and is very small.

The sea is beautiful, with a fairytale view of Panagia Island and its little church, which you can easily swim to. However, it does get very crowded, and there’s quite a bit of noise from the busy road above. Some people might enjoy that, but it’s definitely not my type of beach. There are many better options in the area. For those who like having everything close by or don’t have a car to reach more remote beaches, it will do the job. Sunbeds were €15 in August 2025.

Beautiful beach, clear water and you can swim to the nearby island. A bit crowdy. I didn’t like paid sets, because they are really close to each others. I was on my own towel and umbrella, but I had to come early in the morning before 10am.

Taverna Sakis is a traditional Greek tavern that everyone seems eager to visit. Personally, I wouldn’t call it that exclusive. The food is good, though the calamari were a bit tough and over-fried, while the octopus was nicely cleaned and tender. The sea-view tables are probably lovely, but since we were with a baby and stroller, we were told they wouldn’t be convenient for us. Service was very good – fast and friendly. Make sure to book a table in advance, and don’t be late – they only hold reservations for about 10 minutes.

It's late October and not many places still open, but this little gem is open. So the staff are brilliant the venue is spectacular with views above the bay and sunset, next the Greek food is absolutely delicious. I had the stifado, probably one of my favorites and my wife had the Souvlaki which also was bostin . Definitely recommend this place to stop off and eat.

We visited this restaurant specifically for the seafood, and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent — fresh and well-prepared. Despite being very busy in the evening, the service was impressively professional and attentive. The view from the restaurant is also beautiful, which added to the overall experience. We had made a reservation the day before, which we’d definitely recommend, as the place gets quite full. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality seafood in a great setting!

Perfection, we are coming here for the last 3 years. Every time it is perfect. Food is tasty, portions are normal, service is awesome. There is usually a line so you have to wait a bit (5-10min) but they will offer you complementary drinks😊

We went here twice because the menu offers a good variety of dishes. Highly recommend getting the meze, either from starters or main dishes. I would say that their tzatziki is one of the better ones, so you kinda need to order an extra to dip in. Their weaker food was actully moussaka and pastitisio, it needed a bit more seasoning and was lacking some creaminess. So the food overall was a 4/5, though the restaurant as a whole considering the location and the friendly staff who served us really quickly both days it deserves a 5/5. Highly recommend this place if you are visiting Parga.

We were recommended sakis by everyone, and the starters were outstanding, the prawn saganaki and stuffed vine leaves were divine. Unfortunately the mains let it down, the mousaka was tasteless and the lamb chops were ok. Perhaps the downfall is that they are so busy that their focus is no longer the food and just getting everything served. The service was fantastic although I think they forgot our bread and water.

Wow, we are so impressed by the amazing experience at Sakis restaurant. The view, the food, the wonderful employees. We had to make a reservation upfront and were so happy we did because so many people were standing outside waiting for a table to come free. We got a table at a romantic spot overlooking the Valtos beach. I ordered cooked beef and it was simply melting in my mouth! Rice usually doesnt come with it, but the employees were kind enough to add a bit for me. My boyfriend loved the mixed grill he had! 🤤 We will definitely be back in a few days! Efharisto poli!

Great food, but everything else is not a 5. If you want to go for diner you will have to wait a certain amount of time for a table to open because it works by first comes first serve rule. When you do sit down it's a complete rush around you, servers always brush on your chairs because of the small space between tables. The host guy is not pleasant at all, actually he looks like he doesn't want to be there and is not an inviting person. All the other servers are lovely people and they made the experience better 💞

Very cosy and warm place, perfect for dinner time. The only place in Parga where people are waiting to get a table, because it's just so good and you get a table in 3 mins. The staff is more than friendly and welcoming. The portions are enormous and the food is fantastic. We ate there two times and we had a wonderful time. Totally recomend!

Absolutely spectacular. This was our second time eating lunch here and it's hard to put into words how good it is. The marinated anchovies are probably the best I've ever had and the meatballs are amazing. The staff are also extremely friendly and can't do enough for you. Hoping to visit again before our holiday ends.

The best taverna, restaurant, however you want to call it in Parga. The hosts are absolutely wonderful and incredibly kind to every guest, always making sure to say something in your own language, which makes the experience even more special. I won’t go on too much about the food and portion sizes, the fact that we had dinner here 4–5 nights and chose Bacchos again for lunch right before leaving says it all. 🤣 All in all, when visiting Parga, Bacchos should absolutely be at the top of your list. The atmosphere, the people, the food, the service, everything is just perfect. Warm recommendation! We ate here twice on our two week holiday and what can I say. The first time having spent the day in Parga we just happened to take a look at the menu and seeing it catered for our party of 8 gave it a try. The staff were excellent treating us like a member of their family, smiling and catering for all our needs, the food was great and we were all happy. The second time we drove 45 minutes from our villa to eat there again. This time being a little later we had to wait 5 minutes for our table as they were very busy, but yet again the service was outstanding, the food came out quickly and was delicious. Whatever you are looking for, fish, meat or traditional Greek cuisine I can guarantee that this restaurant will not disappoint.

Food was great, we ordered two fish dishes and really enjoyed them. I’m giving one star less because during the weekend it was raining a lot, and since the restaurant didn’t cover the sides, our dishes got ruined halfway through.

The best beach in Parga, offering both organised and non-organised seating — whether you prefer a sunbed and umbrella or just a towel on the sand. Beautiful beach with crystal blue water. Many beach bars, restaurants, and cafes along the length. Also lots of sun loungers and umbrellas available to rent. We paid €20 euro in the Cactus Beach Bar, this included two sun loungers , 1 umbrella and staff service on the beach. We enjoyed our time here. Would recommend to visit!

How can I tell that I feel in love in this place. You are swimming in this perfect sea with even better view. Just amazing. Take the stairs and enjoy the view. Don't go with car to have a full experience. Sunbeds are 15e , clean and amazing service from the bars.

Very nice beach, you can either stay at the organized-€30-part or the free one. We had our umbrella and beach chairs and stayed at the free part and lunch at the payed one.

Nice beach, one part further away from the castle its sand and other part is pebbles. A lot of sunbeds 10 to 25 euro per set. I m sitting right now at cactus and got 3 beds +bean bag for 15€. The only thing we don't like is boats going all over making waves.

Loved our time here! The nicest strawberry mojito (made with fresh strawberries) and some wonderful Greek music. The staff were incredibly welcoming, it’s clear to see it is family run and a wonderful place to spend an evening! Would recommend a visit.

Local pub for local people and us tourists. The owner is very friendly and makes you feel so relaxed. I would definitely recommend this place as a fantastic place to stop off and have a beer or two .

A local bar in the heart of the old town with special atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. Music evenings with the great performer Petros Antoniou gather people from all over the world to sing and smile together.

Great bar with live music almost every night and a very friendly owner. We visited with our toddler and felt very welcome — such a warm and relaxed atmosphere!

Excellent food and great service. We were 4 persons and we ordered shrimp gnocchi, shrimp risotto, chorizo pizza and 4 cheeses pizza and everything was delicious. We will definitely love to return here.

Loved it all! Service was great! We had the best seat in the house looking on the water. The beef carpaccio was sooo delicious! The garlic bread was so soft and fluffy! The sea bream was fresh, and complimented well with the fennel! The shrimp gnocchi sauce was so delicious- would have loved a bit more extra virgin olive oil drizzled on top. The four cheese pizza was tasty but maybe needed a bit more Gorgonzola to round out the flavors but we love strong cheese. Overall would recommend!

Based on the reviews we read, we had higher expectations. Food was OK but nothing that really stays in your mind once you’ve left.

This is a restaurant along the coast which really brings out that Greek feeling. Nice place to sit outside in the evening to enjoy the view and food. Staff are extremely nice and friendly, and the owner is just lovely. We only tried the steak here, and while I first noticed it seemed a bit pricer then the neighbouring restaurants, I can in hindsight say it was because it's way better quality food. Food was great, and they were generally understanding and helpful when it came to food allergies (gluten-free in my case). Can highly recommend!

The food was good, the atmosphere was slightly tense because there were so many people and between the tables there was no space, but the staff is the reason I am giving 2 stars. Everything was fine until we asked for the bill then we waited for 10 minutes and throughout the whole evening we saw how they gave all the tables a compliment from the restaurant and when it was our turn they didn't give any to us. Which isnt a "big deal" but it creates the impression of personal attitude. When we asked why we didn't get a compliment they told us that the bartender wanted us to leave quickly because there were people waiting outside for a table!! Again, we waited more than TEN minutes for the bill. I don't know how we were different from everyone else, their behavior was unacceptable for us:)

We visited as a party of two and were seated immediately, even though we arrived quite late in August, around 10 PM. The food was so delicious that we practically inhaled it! I would especially recommend the sea bream, which was elevated by the refreshing lemon jelly, as well as the shrimp saganaki. The salad and starters arrived within 12 minutes, and all seven dishes we ordered were served within half an hour. Overall, a wonderful dining experience — I would definitely recommend this place.

Had a great experience at Hellenikon. The mousaka was very, very delicious. We arrived without a reservation and were seated immediately, which was a pleasant surprise.

During my visit to Petros Taverna in Targa, the experience was a mix of highlights and a few disappointments. The appetizers stood out as the strongest part of the meal – the feta sesame cheese pies were very good, the fried zucchini was excellent, and the meatballs were equally impressive. The fillet salad was also enjoyable. On the other hand, the mains were less memorable. The spaghetti was underwhelming, and unfortunately, the moussaka was one of the weakest I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was decent, though nothing particularly special, and the service was on the slower side. One thing I did appreciate was the visible cleanliness and organization in the back, which gave a sense of care in their food preparation. Overall, I would likely return, but only to enjoy their appetizers, which are definitely worth the visit.

The atmosphere here is lovely and the service was great – really warm and attentive. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to expectations. The chicken souvlaki was made with breast fillet and turned out very dry, so we couldn’t eat it. We asked not to be charged, and the waiter was kind enough to understand, which we appreciated. Initially we ordered something that the waiter said unfortunately its sold out and he recommended some other dishes. We ordered and by the end of the night we asked why did you tell us the dishes we wanted were sold out when we clearly see them on the display? The answer was that it was a misunderstanding with between him and the chef. Either this or the restaurant wanted to push other 'recommended' dishes that weren't being sold much that night.. Apart from that the food was ok, the service was good and the vibe decent.

Visited twice after a recommendation. Food was delicious and tasted so fresh. We shared the baked Feta on both occasions. I also had the Lamb and the Kebab and my partner had the Tomahawk and the Beef Stidado. The service was excellent too. Excellent value for money.

Absolutely delicious. The appetizers and desserts are especially legit. Went twice, brought friends. The fava/lentil appetizer. Wow. So good. Beet salad. Yum. Choco soufflé and lemon cheesecake.. oh man! The only disappointment consistently was the bread. Its cut too thick and dry. Probably my least favorite bread in a month if touring Greece. Also, you have to constantly flag a waiter down vs them coming by, which is a tad odd/annoying. But I could eat their different sauces daily.

Nipped here for a meal early evening before we e went on the Parga train. Food delish I had the stuffed meatballs! We were too early to order from the spit rotisserie as this would be ready around 7:30pm daily but definitely will come back to try. I recommend booking here as it is always packed when we walk past

Another place with many locals eating. Great quality meat. We had the bisteki stuffed with graviera cheese and the pastrami. Both excellent. Regarding salads we wanted to try a different taste and we went for the tabulleh but we didn’t love it, it was more of a cold quinoa salad. Service excellent. We had the pleasure of dining at To Kyma one evening during our stay in Parga. With two adults and one child at the table, we shared a starter and each chose a main course – and that was more than enough food for us all. The portions are generous, and the flavors truly reflect traditional Greek cooking at its best. One of the reasons we chose To Kyma that evening was the way we were welcomed. Unlike many places along the promenade, the hosts here were respectful and low-key, giving us time and space to look through the menu in peace without any pressure. Their calm and humble approach stood out and made us feel at ease. Our appetizer was a plate of steamed mussels in a sauce made with peppers, white wine, and mustard – and it was nothing short of spectacular. The mussels were tender and fresh, and the broth was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. It was one of the culinary highlights of our walk along the seafront. Finding better mussels in Parga would be a challenge! Moussaka: A classic Greek dish done well. The portion was very generous, and while it had a bit more potato than expected, the taste was comforting and well-rounded. Perfect for those looking to try something truly local. Lamb knuckle baked in the oven with honey and potatoes: This dish stood out. The lamb was beautifully cooked – fall-off-the-bone tender – with simple, clean flavors that let the quality of the ingredients shine. If you’re Norwegian and love lamb (especially dishes like fårikål), this will feel both familiar and special. Chicken schnitzel: A hit with our young one! Crispy, golden, and satisfying – exactly what you’d hope for in a family-friendly dish. The servers were friendly and welcoming, always with a smile, even if they seemed a little rushed when things got busy. Understandable, given the restaurant’s location right on the bustling promenade. Despite that, they maintained a pleasant attitude throughout. To Kyma offers more than just a meal – it’s a taste of genuine Greek hospitality and home-style cooking. We only wish we had more time to explore the rest of the menu. If you’re dining along the Parga waterfront, To Kyma is absolutely worth a stop.

Food is very good but we are vating 90+ minutes for our food. They brought us 1 portion and we asked for 5, after that they brought us one portion at a time for 30 minutes. They didn't even apologize...

I expected more out of a Kyma restoran on main pedestrian stroll, but it was disappointing 😞. Sword fish was dry and tasted like BBQ, small portion with no side dish ( there was one peace of grilled paprika and 2 pieces of zucchini), 18€ - ooooverpriced. Kids had chicken sulvaki with few potatos, it was just ok. Also we had seabas, it was fille with some souce...not bad. After all, service was so so, eyes rolled, we waited for our dishes long time, got a wrong water; not comming back ever. Not recommended, have some gyros at the corner, much tastier!

We have enjoyed our time in Parga and have been twice at "To Kyma". Staff is very welcoming and Spiros, the owner, make the utmost best for everyone. The menu is carefully selected to represent the tradition and special tastes of the region.

The food was very good, the pasta with shrimps, and the fisherman linguini, the fried calamares plates were delicious. Enough food on the plate. Everybody who works there is very friendly and the location is the best.

The best restaurant in Parga. We visited here 4 times during our vacation, we always received a warm welcome, with professional waiters, excellent food and wine. The house was always full, but despite that, we never had to wait for the food or the waiters. Thanks guys keep it up!

The only restaurant that disappointed us. We took shelter here from a storm and decided that since we couldn't go to the beach, we might as well eat something. Unfortunately, it didn't go well. I ordered tzatziki, but the bread was served separately, which was fine, but the tzatziki was terribly oversalted and sour. My girlfriend chose something sweet and ordered a waffle. She didn't know what was meant by the name of waffle "Mille-feuille", so she asked the waitress, who replied, "you know, milk chocolate and biscuits." Spoiler: there was neither chocolate nor biscuits on it. Overall, we felt like we were bothering the staff. The waitress practically threw the glasses onto the table, and I thought they would shatter. This visit really disappointed us.

It’s very beautiful restaurant next to the beach. It’s has a great view from here. We enjoyed our meal. It’s one of the best places in Parga to eat and it’s not too expensive. The food was amazing, the stuff was so nice. The wife is free. They have big choices of food which is hard to find in Parga (pizza, pasta, toast, deserts, burgers, breakfast…)

Cute cafeteria with very nice ambience and polite staff, however their waffles are a little dry on the outside and undercooked on the inside. I had seen a comment about the same thing on another review, and it is actually true. Also, a small bottle of water is charged 80 cents (!!) when it is sold for 50 cents everywhere and in the supermarket it costs only around 30.

We discovered this amazing restaurant just a few days before the end of our vacation, and our only regret is not finding it sooner! We came back several days in a row because everything we tried was simply perfect from savory dishes to desserts. The pancakes were the best we’ve ever had, the pizza was incredible my husband ordered it almost every time and the service was truly exceptional. The staff are beyond sweet, incredibly kind, and always smiling. They made us feel so welcome❣️❣️❣️

We orderd a sallad with avocado, mozzarella, cranberries, almond, balsamico and some more stuff in it. It was one of the better sallads I have had. Their tzatziki was on the garlicy side, which I like, but something to note since I have found most tzatziki at the more traditional greek restaurants serve a more balanced tzatziki. We got some fried zucchini too. Recommend all of it. Good service too, however the location wasnt the most pleasant to sit and enjoy a dinner.

We paid- they didnt bring us the change. We ordered pancakes, ice tea and water. The pancakes came first, and the water never came. The pancakes were not tasty and they had just a little praline on the top layer. Nothing on the inside. Beautiful place though.

We couldnt have better place for our honeymoon. Martha and Giannis are great. Position (especially our balcony which is "furthest" from Castle,room no.6) has 6 stars view. Clear and not at all deep water for snorcheling with quite amount of fish just in the middle between small island Prokopios and beach. Would we come back? Latest next year 🙂 10/10

We had a great stay at Martha's studios! The room was clean and tidy, we had access to the garden and the kitchen and it was all also very economical. One thing to note is that it's very close to the city center so there might be some noise coming from the bars / main street during night hours. Just bring some earplugs and you'll be fine.

Cars are quite new, and in good condition. We had Nissan Pulsar for three days, good in mountainroads, had enough torque and power.

Bad service. Avis tell you to pre check-in. But What does that help when the car is delivered nearly 60 minutes after confirmed pick-up time. And the fueltank was filled only 5/8. very hard to return with that volume, They calculate in a profit by not delivering the car with full tank. AVIS slogan is WE TRY HARDER. Abandoned castles and forts are awesome. Bring a flashlight to explore the deep areas of the castle, and watch out for rocks on the ground so that you don't trip. I liked Ali Pasha best, but this is certainly worth the trip due to its convenience, restaurant, and scenic views.

We took the Parga train to the castle, very informative guide telling us the history and timeline of the area and the castle. There are fantastic views from the top of the tower and hidden tunnels to walk that go right round the tower. I would definitely recommend this place as a great place to visit.

The Castle of Anthousa is a fascinating historic site just outside Parga. The ruins are atmospheric and surrounded by beautiful greenery, with great views over the area once you climb up. There isn’t much signage or information, but the setting itself makes it worth a visit. A nice stop if you’re exploring around Parga and enjoy history and nature combined.

This is an absolutely stunning beach. It has a parking area and steps down to the beach (not ideal for those with mobility/access issues). It is a sandy/shingle cove with the most crystal clear sea, wonderful for a refreshing swim. The water is calm and was ideal to paddleboard. There is a small cafe serving drinks, sandwiches and if you purchase food/drink the use of the sunloungers/umbrellas is free. We visited the first week of July and by 10am on a week day the beach was full, It was busier on the Saturday. What a wonderful beach, the only thing to note is that the only toilet is a portaloo, located halfway up the stairs. Oh and there were some friendly goats 🐐 on the beach.

We had slushy, which was ok, but waffle unusual, but not in a good way. It wasn't soft at all. It was tough. We haven't been to other cafes, so idk if prices are cheap or not, but it didn't seem expensive to me. 2 slushys and one waffle with strawberry ice cream were about 20-25€

I have been coming to Parga for many years now with my young family and attempted to visit this area a few years ago. We gave up and turned back because the area was overgrown, dirty and dangerous to access. You had to climb over fences and huge rocks! It couldn’t be more different now!! The area is now easy and safe to access with my young children 11 & 14 and older parents (60+) There is a gate where you need to purchase a drink to access but it’s worth every penny and it’s not even a drink each! If it helps keep this amazing natural waterfall accessible to all then 👍🏻 There are some natural 4 post sun beds and some ‘love’ chairs which are cool. Don’t miss the 2nd smaller waterfall that has been uncovered down the steps. Crisp, fresh, cold mountain water that’s great for a cool dip! The apartments nearby also has some pretty gardens We will definitely visit again.

Take the Gremina waterfall path and halfway along it, there is a clear path leading to the gate of the waterfall area. The entrance is purchasing a drink (5€ in 2024) from the Filoxenia sea view hotel, which is 300 meters away. We were lucky to meet a representative of the hotel at the gate and she brought the drinks to us. It would be good if purchasing the entrance would be more accessible. Maybe this will be easier later in the season.

We had a lovely peaceful visit to the waterfall having walked down from Anthousa. We visited last year but what a great improvement - the land owners have done a fantastic job of clearing the site of rubbish/debris etc and have erected rustic wooden fencing and seating so you can enjoy the serenity of the location. There are also some luxury double loungers for those who wish to spend a little more time there. The lady we spoke to (owner) was lovely and we all enjoyed a much needed cold beer! Well worth the 5€.
