Beach
Voramar Beach is a charming coastal spot featuring golden sands and clear waters, set against a backdrop of early 20th-century villas. The beach offers pedal boat and canoe rentals for visitors to enjoy the picturesque ocean views. The area is also known for its period villas dating back to the late 19th and early 20th century, adding architectural beauty to the surroundings. Additionally, Voramar Beach provides a family-friendly atmosphere with shallow waters, making it ideal for children.
Very nice, I felt great. The beach has very nice sand, you can go a long way into the water. Also the landscape is very beautiful and relaxing.

Nice, sandy beach.

I love Voramar - it is the perfect, family run hotel in the perfect location - not by the beach, but actually on it. The staff are lovely and the vibe is just a great mix of relaxed chic. But, I have one wish... the cafeteria downstairs has vegan options (albeit just burgers and the like) but the restaurant upstairs (for hotel guests) doesn't. So, please, can we have just one fresh vegan menu option that isn't a salad with all the protein removed? Please? It would make such a difference to the enjoyment of our stay.
Neil L — Google review
Family friendly beach but still quiet enough even in August. Clean and well-kept. A good selection of places to eat near the beach
Daniel F — Google review
A beutiful beach with almost perfect sand. The water is clean and fresh. And the water depth is not so much, so its good if you have children.
Aslan D — Google review
Nice and quiet beach, very appropriate to take a walk since it is very long. The beach is also very flat and without waves.

(Translated by Google) We visited it at the beginning of June a few years ago, an urban beach 1,700 meters long and about 30 meters wide; It has fine, clean sand and turquoise waters. This beach is bordered by breakwaters that give it an oval shape and also protect it from currents. This creates two perfect coves for swimming and practicing water sports. It has all kinds of services and amenities, security and lifeguard service during the summer season and also the possibility of renting umbrellas, sun loungers and skates. It is an accessible beach for people with disabilities and nearby has several restaurant options. A good place to spend summer days. Cuenta con todo tipo de servicios y comodidades, servicio de vigilancia y socorrismo durante la temporada estival y también la posibilidad de alquilar sombrillas, tumbonas y patines. Water park
Water & Amusement Parks
Amusement park
Aquarama Water Park in Benicassim is a popular destination for families, offering a wide range of thrilling rides, slides, and pools. It's especially loved by kids and teenagers for its water-based fun. Visitors staying at beach hotels can get tickets at the best prices, and there are special offers available through the park's website. The park features exciting slides that attract repeat visitors every year, though it's recommended to plan ahead as it can get crowded on sunny days.
Pretty cool park! You can bring your own food and drinks. There are peaceful pools and places to chill, or you can queue and try out the water slides. We went during a weekday in July, and the lines were already pretty long for some of the popular slides. We'd recommend the Black Hole slide on a double inner tube with a friend! Also, they have really wonderful staff. One of us lost a silver chain necklace on one of the slides, and a life guard found it and brought it to the lost and found. We were totally surprised and grateful, thank you!
L. S — Google review
It was a lovely experience and definitely worth the drive from Valencia. The facility is clean and well-managed, with staff everywhere, attentive to details across all attractions. I felt very safe throughout the visit. The entrance fee is reasonable given the level of entertainment and compared to similar venues in Europe. Food prices were also affordable for a tourist attraction, and while they allow visitors to bring their own food, as tourists we chose the restaurants and did not regret it. Parking is free—which is a nice surprise compared to many other European destinations! I especially appreciated the locker system, which was convenient and fairly priced at €7 per day. The only area I’d recommend improving is the hygiene of the shower facilities. Overall, highly recommended!
Faris K — Google review
We went on a very hot day and got the discounted tickets for the afternoon session. Long queues for some rides, others were fine. The place is clean, stuff is very good and careful about rules, the facilities are clean and well maintained.
KPH — Google review
So many slides and attractions for kids and adults. Our 7 &4 year old has a blast . The staff is very friendly and you can bring your own snacks in which helps with picky eaters. The facilities were nice and the lifeguards were very attentive. The only reason it’s not a 5 is because for some reason the minimum height signs are at different heights so my little one was able to ride some rides but others not. We still had a blast and if you go BRING SUNSCREEN and reapply because the sun hits hard here. They do have covered seating which you can rent for like 5€ whole day which was a nice to have. Also have lockers for rent and showers for after .
Chris B — Google review
Nice action for the all family members. The security is very good, guides are securely monitoring all stations and make sure no one is crashing into another one. Entertainment teams also going around and entertaining people in the waiting lines. We will come a gain.
Werner — Google review
Aquarama Benicàssim is perfect for spending time with family! There are places to buy food and spots for a picnic. Plenty of fun activities, clean facilities, and a great atmosphere for all ages. Highly recommended for a family day out.
ILHAM B — Google review
Aquarama is a very well-run and clean park, and the lifeguards do an excellent job of keeping everyone safe. However, it's a very expensive day out, made even more so by an extra €7 for a locker. Visiting in August means it's ridiculously busy, and the queue times are unreal. Even after spending the entire day there, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., we couldn't get on even half the rides. For example, we got in the queue for the Wow Slide right after the park opened and still had to wait for an hour. The food was also a letdown. We had to wait 30 minutes for the kids' 'pirate' menu, and it wasn't great. Overall, the park is a lovely place. If you're not bothered about doing all the rides and are happy to just enjoy the pools, then a visit in August is fine. Otherwise, I would recommend avoiding it during this time.
Alex N — Google review
Really nice experience, good variety of slides, although some have a substantial queue. The only thing, if you don't have acar and are getting there by train, there's no comfortable way to get to the park from the railway station. It's just 20 minutes walk, but you 'll have to walk by the side of the highway at some point. Otherwise lovely experience

Music Festivals
A city renowned for its vibrant music scene hosts two prominent global music festivals: FIB - Festival Internacional Benicàssim and Rototom Sunsplash, each offering distinct musical genres. In addition, several other significant events such as the Blues Festival, Sacred Music Cycle, Formigues Festival, Electronic Music Festival, Francisco Tarrega Guitar Festival, and San San contribute to the city's diverse cultural calendar.
Great mainstream festival, 4 stages so lots to see and do. Reasonable prices and very little queuing for bar, food or toilets. Well organised and clean. Some shade for parking autocaravanas, recommended arriving the morning before. Benicasim is lovely with lots to do and good beaches if you have any energy left over:-)

Every year it’s getting worse, this year was my last year there… a lot of international singers canceled, every performance had tech troubles, horrible hours… best performances at 4:30 in the morning… and it was so awful what happened with black eyed peas this year, they had one job, and they still had tech problems… thanks god black eyed peas decided to continue performance, as people waited til 03:30 to see only them on Thursday night…like who make those hours.. plus no activities, you have nothing fun to do while waiting for performances, like literally nothing. So just skip it, or if the performance is confirmed buy one day ticket, same day, as it’s never sold out.. for a reason 😅

(Translated by Google) My first time at the FIP Festival… and I can't wait to go back! This year I went to the FIP Festival (Benicassim International Festival) for the first time, and I can only say one thing: what an insane experience! From the very first moment, the atmosphere was simply amazing. People from all over the world, incredible energy, and a vibe you can't find at any other festival. What surprised me most (besides the amazing lineup) was the price. Seriously, the value is one of the best I've seen at festivals in Spain. Tickets are very affordable compared to other events of this level, and they still put on a top-notch show. Speaking of level… the artists are absolutely amazing. International names, spectacular performances, and impeccable sound. If you're a music lover, the FIP is a must-see. There's something for everyone, and you'll always discover something new. In short: I recommend it to everyone. If you're looking for a well-organized, comprehensive festival with great music, a good vibe, and reasonable prices, the FIP Festival is the place for you. I've already marked it down as a permanent plan for next summer. See you in Benicàssim!

(Translated by Google) This year's FIB was a great year. There was a considerable improvement in the sound compared to the previous edition, which made the concerts much more enjoyable. The overall organization was good, and the atmosphere, as always, was spectacular. The VIP area was a welcome addition, although we missed more seating, especially during breaks between performances. I also take this opportunity to express our firm condemnation of the genocide the Israeli government is committing in Gaza. Cultural spaces must also be places of awareness and solidarity with human rights.

(Translated by Google) The festival itself was great. Perhaps the only thing I wouldn't repeat was the camping experience; it was too far from the venue because they made you go around in circles. But as for the concerts, they were incredible, well-organized, and had great sound. Torre de San Vicente is a captivating historic watchtower that invites visitors to delve into the rich history of the area. As you stroll along its scenic coastline, you'll encounter the stunning Art Nouveau villas, which date back to the 19th and 20th centuries and were once venues for extravagant gatherings. The nearby Desert de les Palmes offers fantastic hiking and cycling trails across a picturesque mountain range shared by several municipalities, including Benicassim.
Always a great place to visit. Spacious, with lots of restaurants and shops around.

Got a thing for secrets hidden in plain sight? The Torre de San Vicente in Benicàssim is your spot! This 16th-century watchtower whispers tales of pirate raids and coastal defense, standing proud against the Mediterranean breeze.
Thomas J — Google review
Nice place, but it’s just a single tower. We paid like 5€ each, if don’t remember wrong. We paid the same amount to visit the castle in Dénia, which was amazing and it took us about two hours to go around and see. The visit here was about 30 min, and because they have some videos for you to watch before you go upstairs.
El M — Google review
it's an okay beach but there are nice ones around the area. The Torre was actually closed when we were there and it didn't indicate any opening times (we where there out of the season so that might have been another reason )

Almadraba is a picturesque stretch of coastline in Benicassim, often referred to as the Valencian Biarritz. The area boasts a tranquil beach called Playa Voramar, where visitors can enjoy the calm surf and sandy shores while admiring the opulent villas built by wealthy local families in various architectural styles. This beach is ideal for both relaxation and family activities, with facilities such as showers and bathrooms, as well as accessibility for people with reduced mobility.
Beautiful, wide and sandy beach. Showers near every exit, still operational in mid October. It's a perfect place for a long walk or relaxing next to the waves. Very little amount of people, only locals enjoying the calm, non-tourist time.

Hiking Trails
Via Verde del Mar is a scenic coastal trail that offers a pleasant experience for both cyclists and pedestrians. The path provides stunning views of the sea and features separate lanes for cyclists and walkers. Some sections are gravel while others are paved, making it suitable for various activities. Additionally, there are off-road trails leading to potential picnic spots. Although the trail is relatively short, it offers an enjoyable way to appreciate the seaside without strenuous physical exertion.
Is a really nice plan to enjoy with friends, kids, pets! You're able to hike and that's cool... After that you can go to the beach and enjoy! 100% recommended!
Angie S — Google review
A beautiful coastal trail with stunning sea views all along the way. Perfect for walking, running or cycling, it connects Benicasim with Oropesa through nature and old railway tunnels. Peaceful, safe and well maintained, it's one of the best ways to enjoy the Mediterranean landscape and fresh air.
Sergio S — Google review
We tried this in June. Extremely hot, couldn’t finish the trail. This time we came out here the first week of April, slightly overcast but warm. We started around 14h, that’s when all the locals are finishing and heading to lunch. So there are less people at this time. Beautiful walk. Wish they had bicycles for rent close by. You share the path with cyclists. One side of the path is gravel the other is paved but not smooth enough. I didn’t see anyone with roller blades (patinas). There are 3 picnic benches at the beginning. There are places where you could go out on the rocks to get closer into the sea. I saw a bunch of people climbing the hill to go to the light house.
Doris L — Google review

Great for cycling or just walking, there are two lanes for each one, but the best part is the great view you get of the sea. There are also some "offroad" trails that sometime lead to great picnic spots. Highly recommended for people who like being able to see a great view without too much physical activity.
Pain G — Google review

Rototom Sunsplash is a renowned international festival held in Benicassim, known for its vibrant and diverse music scene. The event offers a variety of musical acts, including reggae bands, artists, and sound systems performing on multiple stages throughout the day and into the night. Visitors can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere while listening to great music and indulging in a wide range of food options. The festival also prioritizes environmental sustainability by minimizing the use of plastic and promoting eco-friendly practices.
Hands down thee best reggae festival I've been to. The vibe was incredible. Met so many lovely reggae fans from all over the world. A festival for all ages. Lots to do and see. Loads of food stalls. Great stalls to purchase jewellery clothes etc. Festival was very well organised and ran smoothly. Toilets not to bad onsite. Not to busy at the big stages and queues for the bar were not to long.
SARAH B — Google review
We have been attending 4 years to Rototom. We keep coming back year after year, and this is why… Rototom is more than a music festival, it’s a mindset set and way of living. We not only met a lot of new people and friends in Rototom but also learnt to appreciate diversity, different ways of living and a culture of consciousness. There is plenty of music offer to choose from, with 6 stages, reggae roots, dancehall, dub, afrobeats, ska, and different variations. Also plenty of activities, workshops, markets, yoga, essentially a ‘mini city’ for reggae music and culture. Kudos to the founders and the organizers because they have managed to create and maintained something unique in the world Happy 30th anniversary!
JC M — Google review
A great time being with people all over the world sharing and enjoying their love of Reggae music. Great acts, practically a 24hr event, with bands, artists, sound systems performing on many stages through to dawn. Met a group from Israel who were performing and even performed with artists in Jamaica. Great food, Jamaican foodie came over from Germany to cook and sell delicious JA food. You can find vegan tents, beef burger, any food you fancy, and plenty of workshops and demonstrations and seminars. Also great arts and craft. In particular from my favourite place Africa. Everyone was so friendly.

Kann ich uneingeschränkt empfehlen! 8 days of Love, Peace, Piece/weed, and Dance - all covered by great reggae music! Thanks to all of you, who spent me so much love while I was dancing (maybe some remember the old guy dancing crazy usually on right side in front of the stages) I leave here a few shorts just to get an idea of the feeling and the energy of the place when it's filled with the people...

So much joy and family had a good time, as always. 2nd time here and my daughter's first time, she was always excited when the festival opened. Secured place, clean, and we loved the atmosphere. Sat on grass while listening to the music..love the variety of food. Drinks and the way they look after nature. Used less plastic, etc. Nice to spend your holiday. Well done for the management. Excellent.
Erna S — Google review
GREAT festival. Super well organised with excellent vibes. The food and drinks where really good the selection and the prices fair. The places itself is brilliant and loved every moment The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is our campervan was parked behind 2 of the stages and its just too close for the noise it was impossible to sleep before 05.00 and after 15.00. They should offer a quite camping area to be away from the stages and the really hard noise. There was a lot staff 24 hours around the areas which was great , plenty of clean toikest and shower and areas to cook and wash dishes if you needed Everyone in the camp come 5am.was super respectful with no noise We will be back next year 100% just will need to ask for the pitches further away
Kim G — Google review
Forced into using cashless purchases where you have to charge your wrist band with cash and THEY ARE NOT REFUNDING the remaining balance. We are not going back next year. It used to be a good festival but it's has changed for the worst. This forced cashless maneuver and literally stealing our money is the last drop.

La Terraza Voramar is a delightful dining spot nestled right on the beach, offering a fantastic atmosphere for enjoying meals with family or friends. Guests rave about the fresh and tasty food, including some appealing vegetarian options. The service here is exceptional, with staff like Sebastian ensuring that everyone feels well taken care of. Whether you're sipping on a refreshing Tinto de Verano at sunset or sharing starters before your main course, La Terraza Voramar provides an enjoyable experience from start to finish.
Everything was 5 stars, and the waiting to get put on the list, the waiting to be called and quided to the table while sip on a cold granizado was also part of the experience. Very nice, thank you!

Overall, I don’t think I would dine inside again, but for a beer, a tinto, and a few tapas, it’s a nice spot to enjoy in the outdoor seating area.

Overall, pretty decent food. We enjoyed a nice starter to share and food for lunch. I received my burger cold but did receive a new one. For being on the beach, decent quality food and quick service we'd recommend this place. We were lucky to have a table instantly though (others after us not so much).

Best place to eat on the Benicàssim beach. Tasty fresh food, good drinks and located on the beach at the northern edge of the promenade. A nice place to drink a Tinto de Verano at sunset.

I don’t want to give them one star only, just because I had some good experiences too. I was a regular here, but they started screwing up too much. Food started being bad, service almost all the time messed up. And today, we had to wait for 20 min just to order. And meanwhile some other tables came and got served even. So after 20 min the waitress comes and tells us - wait, they were before you, I have to get their order first (the table next to us, who literally just came). I told her, that we were waiting for 20 mins and she didn’t give a ***. She said “we are just two waiters, who can take order and we are not able to manage” . The place wasn’t busy, it was like 50% full. And I repeat, other people ordered and got served and we were not even asked. I feel so ashamed for bringing coworkers from London to this place and get this really bad experience (not the first time). Congrats - you lost a regular, and all the people from my company.

Warning this is not open 24 hours, you can view the outside from the promenade but it's closed over the winter period to the general public, it would have got 5 stars but making an effort to get there and it's closed ruined or trip

Superb remodeling of this emblematic historical building next to the promenade that during the 19th and 20th centuries hosted some of the most illustrious political and cultural personalities and artists: Hemingway, Ava Gadner, Almodóvar, Berlanga ... Artistic exhibitions such as those of Picasso, Chagal, Barceló, Chillida ... Seem to be the beginning of what should never have had an end: Culture. Special mention to the remodeling of the garden, where they have very aptly allowed the immense roots of the trees to form a sensory spectacle. Do not miss it! And enjoy the rest of the pleasures of this century-old tourist town.

Points of Interest & Landmarks
El Biarritz valencià, or the Valencia Biarritz, is a captivating destination that showcases the stunning historical beachfront villas of Benicassim. These architectural gems were once summer retreats for families from Madrid, Valencia, and Castellon in the early 20th century. The charm of this area blossomed with the arrival of a railway line in 1872, connecting Castellon to Tarragona.
The Villas of Benicàssim Benicàssim is famous for its architecturally prominent historical beachfront villas, where families from Madrid, Valencia and Castellón fought the summer heat and nourished their social life at the beginning of the 20th century. The area thus became known as ”Valencia’s Biarritz”. It began with the construction of the railway line that linked the cities of Castellón and Tarragona in 1872. The beauty of the beaches of Benicàssim caught the attention of Joaquín Coloma, who then built Villa Pilar, named after his wife. Many other villas were then constructed from 1880 onwards, giving the area a new function. It had until then been underutilised due to its unsuitability for farming. The villas brought modernism and its "art nouveau" style to Benicàssim at the hands of the most prestigious Spanish architects of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The inhabitants of the villas were emissaries of progress, of new social currents and of a new aesthetic, music and customs; splendid summers with glamorous parties and endless evening gatherings. The carefree summers of the Belle Époque was shattered when the Spanish Civil War broke out. The villas were taken over and repurposed by the international brigades as kitchens, dining facilities, libraries and hospitals; the largest created by the 13th International Brigade which treated 7,500 wounded during the years 1937 and 1938. In the 1950s, Benicàssim became a favourite holiday destination for city dwellers and its economy and population began its long recovery. Today, the villas belong to heirs of the families of that time, to recent buyers or, in some cases, have become municipal property. Benicàssim continues to distinguish itself as one of the most attractive tourist destinations of the Spanish East Coast, its clientele no longer limited to the privileged classes, but still retaining that Belle Époque flair. Museo Bodegas Carmelitano is a hidden gem in the area, offering an immersive experience into the history and production of various spirits and wines. We were pleasantly surprised that it became one of our highlights staying in the area. In the beginning we were a bit skeptical that our tour guide did not speak English at all but we were handed in with brochure but thanks to the power of Google Translate and oh wow Josefa was amazing. Thanks to her, she made the whole experience so tantalising. She shared about the history of the place and also her life. It was really touching. Thank Josefa! You are the best. I had a frustrating experience with this online shop. I placed an order on October 5th, expecting home delivery, but the shipping company delivered it to a warehouse, requiring me to pick it up myself. When I requested a refund due to the inconvenience, they asked for my bank details, and although they said they would issue a refund, I still haven't received it. They ignored my follow-up messages about the status of the refund. I hope they improve their service in the future.
