Forge Mill Needle Museum is a captivating museum that showcases the town's historical significance in needle production for sewing and fishing gear. Visitors can explore the manufacturing process from start to finish through various workshops. The museum boasts an impressive collection of different types of needles, needle boxes, and other related items. Additionally, the site offers a small car park, refreshments including teas/coffees/cakes/snacks, toilets as well as a great play area for young children.
Great little place with a lot on display with a lot of information. 2 short videos bring the history to life. Very helpful and informative staff. Next to Bordesley Abbey and a large scenic walk as well. Free parking. What's not to like

A place to go to for your local heritage history. They will tell you about how good the needle industry was in Redditch for many years plus a bit more especially when they have other exhibitions on their latest being the titanic witch was very interesting plus you can have a walk around the old abbey site

Such a lovely place. Lovely little park. Staff are always really friendly. Lovely hot drinks and cake. Kids love it here 🩷 Can also buy bird feed for 80p. You get a good amount and you can feed the ducks and swans behind the museum 🧡

The actual Forge Mill,to see round, is open on a Tuesday but th Visitor's Centre and "Cloister" restaurant attached to the shoo has quite an extensive collection of things from different eras of history, that have been found on the site of Bordesley Abbey which was well worth a 2nd visit - in fact I may have visited up to 6 times altogether. There are various seasonal activities to get involved with,if you want to take family and extended family along- best bit for me this time around was a gorgeous carrot and coriander soup and soft roll, served by kind kiosk ladies (it is open til 4.30 pm at the moment, followed by the all-important cuppa!

A big thankyou to the wonderful staff today helping to carve pumpkins with the children. Nothing was too much hassle. Well organised and excellent value for money. We are big fans of the school holiday activities and are looking forward to visiting again soon.

Country park
Nature & Parks
Park
Arrow Valley Country Park is a 900-acre green space in Redditch which is popular with cyclists, dog-walkers and water sports enthusiasts. The park's 27-acre lake is good for exercise and its playground is excellent for children. Fishing is good at Arrow Valley Country Park, with carp and bream being plentiful. There are also nice restaurants available in the visitor centre. This year, the country park will be celebrating its 81st anniversary - lucky to reach such an old age!
The Arrow Valley Country Park offers a beautiful and calm walk around the lake, and this is somewhere I go regularly to de-stress, and to wind down after a long day. The Lakeside Visitor Centre is great, cosy and a good spot for a coffee! This is also an amazing spot for photography. Don't believe me? The photos I have attached to this review speak for themselves!
Sami A — Google review
A beautiful spot to come for a jog, walk with pets or kids or for some solo time. Car parking is available outside and inside. The lake has boating options for members. It offers option for fishing and riding a cycle.
Jen — Google review
Can’t believe I’ve only just discovered this park so beautiful, the locals are very friendly, cafe and public toilets available. The leisure park is so much fun with so many different equipment for all ages. Beautiful view of the lakeside and big green spaces, perfect for family picnics and summer outings. Would defo recommend going.
Amira R — Google review
Visited Arrow Valley Country Park while staying nearby for a wedding in Birmingham. It’s a very well-laid-out park centred around a large lake with a good variety of waterfowl. Plenty of dog walkers out enjoying the open space, which adds to the lively but relaxed atmosphere. Other features worth noting are the small waterway and weirs, which give the place a bit of extra charm. The café is spacious, with a comprehensive menu and friendly staff — a good spot to pause and take in the view. There are also small boats for hire, making it an excellent choice for families or groups looking for a day outdoors. Overall, it’s a pleasant, versatile park that’s easy to recommend for both a casual stroll and a longer visit.
Lee W — Google review
A great place to take the kids out on their bikes/scooters. There are two playgrounds, one for smaller children and the other is suitable for 6years plus. There are lots of benches and picnic tables as well as a really lovely cafe.
Harpreet S — Google review
Enjoyed a stroll around the lake and a visit to the restaurant. Very popular with dog walkers. Free parking.
Steve W — Google review
Amazing place to visit for a day out with the family. Very well looked after. Lots to see and do
Sharon D — Google review
Recently visited Arrow Valley Country Park and had a fantastic time! The park offers a great walk with spacious areas and a beautiful lake. There are plenty of different trails to explore, catering to all levels of adventure. I stopped by the Boathouse for a bite to eat, and I must say, the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and made me feel welcome. Arrow Valley Country Park is a peaceful and picturesque escape. It's perfect for nature lovers and anyone looking for a bit of tranquility. I highly recommend it for a wonderful day out.

Shopping mall
Kingfisher Shopping Centre is a large, modern covered mall located in the center of Redditch. It offers a wide variety of high-street shops, restaurants, a gym, and a cinema. The parking is affordable and there are plenty of spaces available. Visitors appreciate the cleanliness and the range of shops available, catering to different budgets. The shopping center provides a calmer shopping experience compared to major cities and has everything one might need for an enjoyable day out.
What a nice place to shop. The parking is cheap. There is a nice array of shops. It is on the centre of redditch. What's not to like. Sometimes these places are missed, because people hear about them but do not know enough to visit. There is everything you need plus more in the town centre. It's clean, cheap to park Ready to find. My only gripe is the toilets are on the ground floor and is your needing them, you have to get a move on.
Andy M — Google review
The Kingfisher Centre's Eduardo Paolozzi mosaics were officially unveiled in 1983. They are among the finest pieces of public art in the UK.
Andrew H — Google review
A clean and refreshing shopping centre with a great variety of stores. From coffee shops and designer brands to Savers, Primark, Boots, JD, and a range of perfume shops – there’s something for everyone. Unlike many other shopping centres, it’s pleasantly quiet, allowing you to browse and walk around at your own pace. Ideal for a relaxing shopping trip or a casual lunch. The car park is convenient, with a simple pay-as-you-leave system. Overall, a well-maintained and enjoyable place to shop.
Rachel W — Google review
Love it.. what a big mall.. excellent place to spend time on a bad weather day. Kids play area, lot of shops, eating joint. Parking is decently priced and I like it you do not have to walk in a bad weather as parking is enclosed and quite accessible to mall entrance. I use car park 4 always.
Nupur G — Google review
A gem of a place, bit dated due to customer ( younger) changing preferences, has a cinema, which was nice, what you would expect, Shopping choice in the normal chain stores, but the gems are the independent places, the cobblers that resole shoes with vibram soles, that bring perfectly good shoes or boots back to life, a real saving in price, old is gold, as shrinkflation and such, my old boots with alot of life left can have new soles, Other independent stores are just as good, the places to eat are brilliant, then again the independent places shine, well worth a visit, In conclusion, a must for those who like to remember and shop like it used to be, instead of scrolling virtually,
Smartchip — Google review
Has everything you need love shopping here great shopping mall

the only good thing about kingfisher was the boba stand now it’s gone and all that remains is the outline of my beloved shop. i’m fuming to say the least.

Theaters
The Palace Theatre is a charming venue that offers a variety of entertainment, including drama, live music, stand-up comedy, musicals, and dance performances. The theater has a classic design with two tiers and fancy boxes. While not as large as The Hippodrome in Birmingham, its smaller size allows for a closer and better view of the stage. Many visitors have praised the quality of performances at the Palace Theatre, such as the Mersey Beatles and Jasper Carrott.
Me & my Mum had the BEST night here to see Gordon Hendricks as Elvis. We hadn't visited before but all the staff were absolutely lovely,it was a beautiful theatre - Gordon was incredible ajd we will be visiting again.THANKYOU TO ALL 🙏🏻

I have been to a number of theatres. This was easily the best because the ushers Madeleine (Mads) and Glynis were so caring and professional to all of the guests. They made a superb night truly memorable. Thanks Ladies 😊

1st March 2025 Tonight was our first time seeing I'm Every Whitney performing the music of the late phenomenon that was Whitney Houston. The performance was exceptional as she belted out all of the incredible hits . This lady puts on one hell of a show celebrating the the music of an incredible Diva . The crowd loved it and were dancing along to the music . As always the staff were excellent and the theatre should be proud of them .We have booked to see her Again we were so impressed. Friday 18th October 2024. The Diana Ross story was on show to a full house as always. A show of two halves it starts with The Supremes greatest hits and the story of there rise to fame. The three ladies playing the parts were superb in there movement and sounding like the 60s icons. Next was Diana solo . Getting everyone up dancing she was excellent as the Boss Getting her mannerisms just right. A must see for all Diana Ross fans ,so try to get tickets 🎟 at a venue near you .As always the theatre staff were all very friendly and helpful 👍 Saturday 17th August We Will Rock You performed by the youth theatre was excellent. A very good performance by all involved. Some of the Mic`s were a bit iffy but did not distract you from a fine performance 👏 Names of more modern performers had been used but main characters remained the same . Everyone had a great night so thanks to everyone involved Wednesday 11th October Paul Young was here tonight. Behind the Lens was a history of his career. It was fascinating to know about how he became an household name . He chatted and sang his way through his history helped by a lifetime friend . A very good evening was had by a full house 2nd March 23 Totally Tina was awesome, her dancers are so professional and along with a tight band they put on a remarkable show. The sell out crowd were on there feet dancing and singing along to the very talented Justine who sounds so much like the real Tina . The theatre however was cold but that did not spoil the night .Staff as always great First time at this theatre and such a lovely place, a small venue but great atmosphere, Totally Tina were performing and they were fabulous a must see for all Tina Turner fans ,a brilliant show none stop two hour show ,booked to see them again December 23rd Beauty and the Beast panto OH YES IT WAS . A very funny show made even funnier by a fabulous cast . A full house were thoroughly entertained

We were allocated the circle but thexsearsxwere narrow and leg length so short. I was in terrible pain. A out to go home at the interval, my daughter asked about seats elsewhere. We were moved to the stalls which were great so helpful and the show was great.
Stephen H — Google review
Very easy website to navigate through to get tickets. On arrival, the place is spacious and very functional. The bar staff and volunteers are amazingly kind and welcoming. The seat on the upper circle has very little leg room but does have a cosy great atmosphere. All seats & rows are clearly marked out. The pink floyd experience was amazing. The sound and lighting were well above my expectations. Would definitely go to see another production there. Bars are available on most levels and have a good range of drinks to select from

5360 Play Town Redditch - Family Entertainment Centre and Party Venue

Children's amusement center
Cafe
360 Play Town Redditch is an excellent venue for children, offering a wide range of activities to keep them entertained. From a large carousel to a race track and play shops filled with toys, there is something for everyone. The facility also includes a dress-up area and a cafe for added convenience. While the admission fee may be slightly expensive, the establishment ensures security by taking photos of visitors and their children. The staff are friendly and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable.
Myself and 2 children visit the centre regularly. There is a 'street' for role play and a massive soft play to keep them entertained for hours. Would recommend booking in advance especially if school holidays/raining. Food and drinks are good quality and they have various offers to get the most out of your money (coffee and cake, sharing hot food platters). Added bonus, unlike many centres we have been to, the adults are allowed to play in the soft play with their children!
Georgina — Google review
Expensive ! Visited today £12 for child just 2 years old and £12 other child 4 years old. Adults x 2 charged £5.95 each this is just for entrance fee. Cup of tea £2.95 each. No cans of pop the Pepsi out of the tank was £3.25 each. Kids fruit juices and 2 bags of crisps cost £8. This is all money oriented. We were told no snacks or drinks to be brought in yet an Asian family brought in a huge bag of burgers and chips, crisps and pop/drinks on their own plates. I spoke to the manager he said the youngest child of the group has autism and will only eat certain things. I can understand a child who has needs or food intolerance etc yes they should be able to bring in a packed lunch not the whole family all eating burgers and chips from takeaway. I didn’t even look at the menu as the drinks were expensive enough.. this isn’t right or fair on people paying the full prices. The pricing isn’t worth the venue no staff to support the children or entertainment it’s all up to the paying parents to supervise and play yet you pay for that privilege.
Debbie W — Google review
360 play, lovely staff, especially in the food area, Paige was really helpful when I was sorting the children's meals above & beyond. Also pleasantly surprised the food was freshly cooked & the children really enjoyed their lunch. The play area did get somewhat rough later in the afternoon but over all the children had fun.
Carol T — Google review
Discovered this place a few weeks back and I was shocked when I brought my children here! It’s massive inside and honestly so much to do my children never wanted to come home and was running riot for hours… highly recommend, I took my baby, 7 and 10 year old and they all loved it. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is because of the booking charges. 1 being you have to pay almost the same price as a normal aged child, for a baby who can just about crawl or walk? I would have thought the price for babies/toddlers would have been less, I took my baby again yesterday and she didn’t get use of the play stuff due to her napping as it’s very unpredictable! Then secondly again on the prices, adults having to pay to come in to watch/wait whilst their children pay, this is another thing I don’t particularly agree with, mainly because most play areas adults don’t pay and if they do it’s a very small amount, the percentage of parents/adults who will end up purchasing hot drinks, children’s drinks, food etc whilst there is highly likely… so this all adds up and ends up being quite an expensive day. Not to add, the VAT that gets added onto the booking which always takes it up £5+! I would recommend though and will return in the future.
Kelsey A — Google review
Soft play very big and the carousel is also very popular. The role play areas look a little tired and could do with some new equipment. Food is decent, but can be a little pricey. Have visited a few times and there always seem to be an issue with the QR code ordering from the tables. The kitchen don't receive the tickets so unless you chase up the order they have no idea you've ordered anything. Can also mean there's a really long wait for food. Recommend avoiding and ordering directly at counter as the staff don't let you know there's an issue. Overall the kids enjoy it and you can spend a long time here but it just needs some improvements.
Rebekah M — Google review
I came on a wet & soggy Saturday at the start of the school holidays, parking was easy, It was perfectly set out to be able to see everything going on, the role play area is so much fun for the children (and adults), plenty of noise from the fun being had by everyone else too. Staff onsite were welcoming and smiley! The Coffee😍 and Bacon and Cheese Loaded Fries where amazing! Be back soon!!
Lauren J — Google review
This place is fantastic for kids. It has so many things for kids to do. It has a full-size carousel as well as a large soft play course a race track a load of play shops full of toys for that shop. Dress up area and a cafe. It's not cheap. 1 adult + 2 children costs £22 and a bit of change. However they take photos of you and the kids so nobody could leave with them and it feels very secure. My kids cried when we left after 2.5 hours because they still wanted to play.
Keith M — Google review
This is our favourite rainy day venue. Not just your standard softplay. It has a carousel, play village and the coffee is great which is an added bonus for the parents! Staff are all lovely and friendly. The place is clean and well looked after.

Bordesley Abbey offers a glimpse into the history of needle making and the intriguing story of the abbey. Visitors can explore the ruins, stroll through a beautiful garden, and browse through a gift shop offering local crafts. The surrounding valley with water meadows adds to its charm. While some find it serene for a walk, others suggest more information about the site would enhance the experience. Additionally, there is praise for the museum, cafe, and staff at the main building.
Peaceful and historic. Bordesley Abbey is a beautiful and serene place to visit. The ruins are well-preserved, and the surrounding park is perfect for a leisurely walk. It's a great spot to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

The Transport Museum Wythall, established in 1977, is a family-friendly attraction featuring a diverse collection of over 100 vintage buses, coaches, fire engines, and battery-operated vehicles from the Midlands and beyond. Open on weekends from April to October, the museum offers interactive displays and opportunities to board various vehicles. Visitors can also enjoy a miniature steam railway and a play area for young children. The knowledgeable volunteers enhance the experience by providing insights into the exhibits.
What an absolute gem of a place. I haven’t sat on a bus in years and to have a ride on a piece of history was amazing. We attended by accident on one of the car club days and lucked out because they had some really beauties on show. My little one absolutely loved the bus ride and the miniature railway (additional cost). There was also a bouncy castle (additional cost!) and a kids shed with lots of toys to keep her busy. Was a really nice calm day out and I thoroughly enjoyed something a little bit different. Will definitely be coming back and highly recommend!
Nadia K — Google review
A really great place to visit for kids and adults alike! The heritage bus rides are great fun and it's so good that they're included in the admission price. The kids loved the miniature railway too as well as all the little play bits for them around the place. For the engineering and history buffs there's plenty to read and see too. We will definitely be going back again!

What a gem this place is. Very reasonably priced. Great for kids who love transport and buses. My son loved it. So many buses on display in two different areas. Lovely small plag area and they had another smaller for kids to play. Also has a play house at the back for kids too. Nice cafe and a great open top bus ride free with entry fee. There is a small charge for the train which is fine. Time flies it was a great experience with the family. Will be returning. Also plenty of parking and some lovely classic cars were on display as well. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating.

I only visited this lovely place a few weeks ago. I had to come back on one of their event days as I enjoyed my visit there so very much. Today was simply brilliant. If you're like me and like nostalgia, reliving yesteryear then I can't recommend highly enough. Becketts Farm is juat arouns the corner so if you're ever visiting there, find time to spend at the Transport Museum too - you'll be glad you did. Especially if you love buses, vehicles, high quality craftsmanship. It's clear the preservers of these timeless vehicles are so very loving and passionate about their collection

The facilities are clean and everything looks fresh. My child attends swimming lessons here and she loves them. The teaching pool is warm, the lessons are well planned and interactive. My child always has a smile on her face when she's there.

I recently joined Abbey Stadium and I’m really happy with it! The whole process of booking classes, gym sessions or even badminton courts is really easy through their system. The staff are helpful, and there’s a good choice of activities. I’ve also started swimming here and you can go according to the pool timetable, which makes it very convenient. The gym is modern and clean, with plenty of equipment, and there are lots of classes to choose from, including some boxing-style workouts, Yoga, Cycling, Health and fitness and Games etc. Overall, a great place to stay active in Redditch!

Well equipped, clean and tidy gym and still newish. No peeling paint. Good vibes with parents and young kids enjoying the facilities- gym, swimming pool, and outside athletics track.Nice.

Been using the gym for a year now and with the help of Mark I have lost 48lb and am now a lot fitter and building muscle. Even when not having a one to one session, nothing is too much trouble and he will always take the time to offer advice and tips to better my exercise routine. I do think there needs to be lighter weight barbells from 2.5kg to 10kg, I see junior members struggling with the weights and as a parent myself we should do all we can to encourage and support gym use
Anthony B — Google review
Swimming lessons with 10 children per instructor is definitely too much for a 30-minute class — the kids aren’t learning proper technique at all. Items are left in the changing rooms, which no one uses or supervises. Parents walk onto the pool area in dirty shoes.

Just joined the Abbey Stadium Gym. So far very happy with the classes and induction sessions. All at professional standards. The receptionists and administration staff are very helpful.

Discover something a little different, at a very affordable price by visiting this hidden gem," The Barn " at Studley. It is an absolute treasure trove of traditional and contemporary objet d'art items for the Home and Garden, including, planters and pots, stoneware, all manner of retro, repro vintage metal objects, Gothic mirrors, re purposed furniture, fireside accessories, old Indian gates and shutters, animal figures made from driftwood, Japanese stone pagoda's, Terracotta warriors, Fu dogs, pumpkin globe lanterns, solar lanterns, decorative plant supports, bird tables and feeders, from armillaries to obalisk's, vintage and reclaimed milk churns, to old cast water pumps, agricultural items and much much more, the list could go on and on. Here you will find the peculiar, the curious, the bizzare, the noticeable, down right odd, unique, offbeat, remarkable, outlandish and truly eccentric items that will become a talking point with family, friends and neighbours. When you have finished browsing or buying, a mere 15 minute journey from there is the "Jinney Ring" craft centre which is well worth a visit, but also has a superb little restaurant.

Redditch Golf Club is a popular choice for golf enthusiasts visiting the area. The course is well-maintained with fast greens and clear yardage markers, making it enjoyable for players of all levels. Visitors have praised the friendly and welcoming atmosphere, with members and staff going out of their way to ensure a pleasant experience. The clubhouse has been recently renovated, offering a bright and inviting space for socializing after a round of golf.
Staff very friendly and professional. Ground staff had worked very hard to ensure course in excellent condition despite heavy Spring rain. Course equally challenging for group of seniors with handicaps ranging from very low single figures to mid-20s. Greens often fast and like upturned saucers, demanding exact approach shots and putts. Most finishing holes have tight fairways and long par 4s. Restaurant bright and welcoming. Good quality food and prompt service made an excellent finish to our day. Admin and pro-shop maintained this helpful atmosphere. We’ll be back for sure!
John C — Google review
Challenging golf course and the closing 5 holes are outstanding and a real challenge where you need to be long and very straight. Greens and fairways in lovely condition and overall hospitality from the staff is excellent. Just a very decent place for a round.
Stephen S — Google review
This truly an amazing course with all the top quality amenities as well The course is a thinking golfers dream, you really have to think what club to take out the bag on the tee and when laying up. Each whole is different with various features around the greens with bunkers, streams and elevation coming into play Even with the above mentioned, high handicaps will enjoy the challenge. So impressed thinking of joining, even with an half hour trip

One of those courses you have to go back to challenging holes the greens were very quick and not easy to read first visit would enjoy going back when fairways are back to normal the staff were really friendly as we're the members

I decided to book a round of golf with friends at Redditch Golf Club after being told it's a course everybody needs to play. From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming and friendly, members of the clubs were also happy to chat and offer advice on certain areas of the course and WOW what a course, Each hole looks stunning and offers you a new and exciting challenge, The tee boxes, fairways are in perfect condition and the contoured greens are amazing and unbelievably quick. Hats off to the ground staff. If you haven't played here before I highly recommend it.

Came for a function on Friday evening which was good. Room layout is long tables in middle so you could be sat by people you don't no. Toilets ran out of toilet roll half way through the night. Staff were good and friendly although was charged 1 price for my drink at start of night and then another price not long after by another member of staff. Wasn't charged for the dash first time round but was the 2nd so depends who serves you. On closing the lady was extremely rude. We'd gone from the function room into the main bar after asking the bar staff if it was ok. lady then starts screaming saying it's closing to get out. One of the girls we was with asked if we just ring a taxi before leaving as wouldn't have taken long and she refused and continued shouting for everyone to get out. Definitely wouldn't return or recommend

Visitors have praised the venue for being a great way to keep kids entertained, especially during bad weather. The facility also hosts birthday parties, providing food platters, cake, mini disco, and party bags.
My son had his birthday party on the inflatable and it was incredible. All the kids (and grown ups) had a great time. The staff were so kind and gave great customer service. Our party host was fab. My son has allergies to a whole list of things and they catered for him so he didnt feel left out. Some other children also had dietary requirements and they were able to provide for them. They answered my million questions beforehand and were just lovely. Everyone had a fab time. Also appreciate them running sen sessions regularly xxx

I recently had my little girls 3rd birthday party here in the toddler room. The theme we picked was mermaid and we were just so happy with the outcome. The room was decorated beautifully and there was loads for the kids to do as we also opted to have the tuft trays filled with activities. Thanks so much to the team for making it a special day, my daughter and her friends loved it.

Excellent kids entertainment for a couple of hours. £2.50 per adult just for admission is a complete rip off. Coffee and food rip off. Cleanliness is good, they are forever vacuuming, toilets are spotless. If adults have to pay for admission how about a complimentary drink?? 2x trampoline and soft play plus socks £50.
Uk G — Google review
I have been to numerous soft plays around the West Midlands with my Grandchildren, and today decided to try this one. I booked online before going, and it does clearly state no food or drink to be brought onto the premises. Nothing new there, as this is the case with many soft plays. What is not the case, is the young girl on entrance singling me out in a loud voice saying if I have food or drink with me we will be asked to leave! She said this to me not once but twice! In my opinion, this was an absolute insult! All moms/dads/ grandparents/ guardians usually have a bag or have a ruck sack with them usually because we need to carry nappies, wipes, purse, keys, phone, nappy bags, cream, changing mat etc need I go on!! Certainly not for a packed lunch for a couple of hours play when this is prohibited! All i can say is, I would never return to this place, and it really is very lucky that I didn't spot the young girl on my way out!!!
Tanya G — Google review
All ages can find they perfect place to play. Nice and clean. In the trampoline park they really follow the rules ! I really like the qr code on the table to order your food. Food is good and tasty. Friendly staff Highly recommended!

Thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon session 13:30 - 17:30 with the family. Little one was excited & shattered, tallest soft play we've seen yet. Supervision was needed for our little one as it can get a little chaotic, with excited little ones running around. It was busy on sunday as you would expect, but the soft play is large enough that we all found our way around without feeling too crowded. Tons of variety. Toddler area. Café Soft play & Cafe at an amazing price. Great entry price (book online) Café (doesn't break the bank like many with a captive audience) Two Birthday party's going on & will definitely consider in future years. Fun all around. Even a bouncy castle adjacent at an additional cost, One for years to come. It's massive, just like the soft play. Plenty of parking.

This was a wedding event (my own!). Every whim was catered for, Claire, the senior event person, bent over backwards to make sure that we were comfortable and confident with the arrangements, and, on the day, Sam and her team delivered a flawless day. The wedding breakfast was delicious and everybody commented on it. The disco and photo booth were great and evening buffet was brilliant. I would highly recommend Abby hill. We had a beautiful wedding day with them

We had our wedding reception at Abbey hill last Saturday and it was perfect 😍we got married at a local church and had a slightly different idea of our reception as we wanted to have a slightly more laid back event. Clair worked with us from the start to get it exactly how we wanted. Unfortunately the weather meant we could not have the photos outside the church as we planned and the staff were amazing allowing us to move the reception forward an hour with only a few hours notice and ensured it was all ready so our guests were happy and comfortable even allowing us to do our confetti shots on the red carpet and letting us use the ceremony room for our couple shots. Luckily the weather improved so we could also get some lovely outside photos later on. The children present absolutely loved be able to play pirate golf and Some of the guests even got a tour on the golf buggies which they loved. The food (canapés bbq and mini desserts) was a big hit with everyone! Chris the DJ got our music tastes perfectly and we were all up dancing right until the end. Also a massive shout out to Kye for being so kind and positive when I was panicking about the weather and Freya for helping it all run smoothly on the day. It honestly was perfect for us and we couldn’t have asked for anymore Thankyou! x

Attended here for my brothers wedding dinner and reception, and I have to say that it was very disappointing. Many guests said that the chicken was overcooked, my sister in law had a hair inside her brownie, there was no salt and pepper with the main meal. No teaspoons for those that had tea, no suger for teas and coffees, unfinished drinks were removed but staff denied this happened. The buffet was removed at 10pm, even though there was at least 50% remaining, and the groom didn't even get to eat as it was taken away. While there was a number of staff working behind the bar, one served and the other assisted them, slowing service down. Overall, overpriced and underwhelming

First time. Did the par 3, had a drink and snack after. Course very tidy, new tees, fairways, Bunkers and first cut all well looked as were the greens. Staff courteous and efficient. Food was good value £9 for well filled sandwich, came with a salad and chips. Lots of people about of all ages but didn't feel crowded. Will be back.

Our daughter had her prom there, and the place was just amazing. Beautiful decor and setting. But what's more valuable is the staff. From checking students before enetering the venue, making sure everyone is happy, and with 120 of energetic teenagers, they kept everything clean, tidy, and just perfect. They were always there to give a hand if needed and with a smile on their faces. Definitely recommend this place and their staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good solid park experience. The main car park off of Windmill Drive gets full very quickly but there's another car park at the back near the football fields which rarely gets full. Great for walks, cycling and roller skating.

Had a wonderful day at Morton Stanley Park. Lots to do there, there is the chidrens playground which is in very good condition. We had a picnic, on a picnic bench, which was lovely. There is no cafe at the moment and no toilets, which is disappointing, but one is being built at the moment. An ice-cream van is usually there, so you can buy drinks and ice-lollies and ice-creams there. After our picnic we picked some blackberries and sloes. There are some lovely walks around the wildflower meadows and through the woods. Today we saw squirrels, lots of fungi, and heard saw many birds. We also had a game of football and also cricket, there is a table tennis table and a net you can use for volley ball or anything you want. A good time was had by all the family.

Both the speaker and their wife, who is a professional garden designer, spend significant time in stunning gardens. They highly admire the exceptional work done at Morton Hall Gardens. The speaker appreciates the remarkable vision and tremendous effort put into achieving such excellence on a daily basis, including the additional work leading up to events like the Tulip Festival. The gardens are truly outstanding, with top-notch materials used and meticulous attention to detail evident in every aspect.
Went to the Tulip Festival in May. Very good displays of cut and growing tulips. Many different varieties and colours set in a lovely country house garden. You could also walk around the grounds and eat in the marquee with gluten free options, hot and cold drinks, reasonable prices. They are not usually open to the public but do two charity events a year, the other is in August.

Lovely gardens to visit if your able to attend one of their open days, we visited during the Tulip festival and walked around the gardens to see Tupli displays and the rest of the garden in general. These is plenty of parking but entry can be a little tricky down the narrow road although they did have Marshalls on hand managing the flow of traffic.

I visited on May Bank Holiday for the Tulip Festival. A stunning garden, with something for everyone: wilder areas, Japanese garden, woodland garden, formal borders, lawn, cou trysude, it really is a fab destination for the plant lovers. There was a marquee and also an outdoor seating area, serving drinks, light bites, Pimms, etc at reasonable prices. Plenty of parking. Garden is accessible to most areas, but not all. The staff helping with logistics, parking, directions were fantastic. 100% recommended.

Very impressed by good organisation and excellent guided tour by head gardener of 90 minutes duration. Then cold, light lunch. Nice. However as a hot day I think that drinking water should have been made available in addition to the provided tea and coffee. Stout footwear suggested and I agree is required.

I spend a lot of time in beautiful gardens, as does my wife who designs them for a living and we would both like to express our total admiration for what you have all done at Morton Hall. We appreciate the vision and the amount of day to day work that goes into achieving that level of perfection as well as the additional work leading up to an event like the Tulip Festival. I don’t use the word perfection lightly but that is what we experienced during our visit. The gardens are outstanding, from the quality of all the materials used & the attention to detail to the planting combinations & the maintenance we both agreed that it was heaven.

Thank you for the brilliant opportunity and wonderful memories!

Such an amazing charity couldn’t recommend them enough!!! Made many memories on project and being apart of something so much bigger was literally so eye opening and unforgettable! The kids had heaps of energy and were full of happiness, from the moment we got there the kids just wanted to play especially on open day! And Honestly the staff were constantly there for us and made sure to check in with us daily! They made the experience safe and in a way reassuring as I knew they would be there to support me through anything out there! And they did just that! So if you’re thinking about doing a project I would say 100% GO FOR IT, you’ll have the best time!!

An overall amazing experience in Kenya. The whole trip was made by the staff from the UK, Kenya and Uganda who were all amazingly helpful with any issues the volunteers experienced and were all around a great and funny bunch of people. Both the weeks and weekends were full of amazing and fun experiences which helped me grow and experience the culture. I couldn’t recommend it more.
Turner D — Google review
What an amazing charity!! I have been volunteering with Play Action International for 2 years. I volunteered in Uganda last summer and Kenya and Uganda this summer. I would and I do highly recommend the charity to anyone who is considering volunteering and wanting to make a difference! Not only is the whole experience absolutely incredible but also the staff working alongside you are incredible too! From signing up, fundraising, preparing to head to East Africa and being out in country too, the support you will recieve could never be better. Not only did I feel supported by the charity as a whole, but each of the staff members have all supported me throughout too! Whether that was physically, mentally or both. It’s quite well known that many charities are driven by money, but I can honestly say from my experiences with play action that they have each of their volunteers safety and welfare at heart over anything. They have certainly gone above and beyond to support me over the last 2 years!! I signed up for Project Play in 2023 in which I spent 2 weeks in Uganda during the summer with Play Action International.  Prior to signing up I had so many questions. International volunteering was something I had never thought about doing previously but when I saw the opportunity I had to take it, and it’s honestly been the best decision I have EVER made. I contacted Play Action with my questions about the charity, the projects, the fundraising and the experience as a whole and spoke to the staff who happily answered all my questions and settled any worries and concerns. The whole process and experience in general was absolutely unforgettable. When they say it’s an experience of a lifetime, it is exactly that!! The support received from the staff at Play Action from signing up all the way through to arriving back home in the UK after the project was flawless. The Play Action staff are with you through every step! signing up, fundraising, pre departure, arriving in country, projects and departing to go home. I would highly recommend Project Play to absolutely everyone, my advise would be that if you’re debating signing up to Project Play, just go ahead and do it. It’ll be the best decision you’ll ever make. There really isn’t a combination of words strong enough to explain how incredible it is, it’s such a ‘ you’ve got to see it to believe it’ experience. There is always a negative to everything but honestly the only negative to project play is the experience coming to an end. I will be FOREVER grateful for the experience.

I had an amazing time!! Spent 2 weeks in Kenya with the team and oh my goodness. What a fantastic experience!! I connected with so many great people and learnt a lot about myself and the world I live in. We were immersed in culture, every day was organised, the staff were so professional even when everything didn't go to plan, as things do when in the middle of Africa! I really recommend checking this charity out, the whole experience was great and I received so much support before, during and after my trip. This charity does great things and offers people such a great slice of life within a 2, 4 or more week window! 🫶🫶🫶

I volunteered for PAI in Uganda this year and had the most phenomenal time. From the beginning of the process I felt so supported in doing my fundraising and getting prepared for the summer! Every single person I met and worked with in Uganda from the UK team to the local staff, to my project group and all the teachers and kids at the school were wonderful and a joy to get to know. I had the best time learning to build and painting things for the playground, doing creative play lessons with the kids each afternoon and our extra excursions like kayaking on the Nile and the safari weekend. When I became injured and unwell the team were so supportive, kind and helpful. A massive thank you to our team leader Sorcha for looking after us all so well! The experience was incredible and I thoroughly recommend PAI to anyone thinking about international volunteering!

Ive volunteered with PAI twice now - once in Uganda and once in Kenya. This experience i can safely say was the best of my life. It made me a better, more adventurous person and I cant recommend it enough. The staff are so so incredible they were always there is I needed anything and gave me so much support. Thank you PAI you are forever amazing xx

Words can’t express how grateful I am to Play Action International for allowing me to take part in such a wonderful experience! Even when I missed the initial flight to Uganda, the staff were very patient and constantly reassured me that I will be with the group in no time (missing you all so much!!) I can proudly say that those 2 weeks spent in Uganda were life changing and this couldn’t have been possible without Play Action International. Would 100% recommend it to those who want to make a lifetime of memories and special bonds with the other group volunteers :)

Heritage museum
The Redditch Local History Museum is a charming establishment dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich heritage of the local area. Since its inception in the early 1900s, this museum has played a vital role in the community, offering visitors an engaging glimpse into Redditch's past. With an array of captivating displays, including archives and old newspapers, it provides a unique opportunity to delve into the town's history and culture.
A brilliant place to pop in and reminisce. I went in with two friends, all of us found things to look at and talk about. A lot of has gone into this museum. The two guys in there were friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. Couldn't fault it!
June S — Google review
A little museum telling the story of Redditch and it's history, including interesting displays on now-closed factories. The volunteers are happy to share their local knowledge.

Lots of interesting displays packed in to a small space with many archives and old newspapers. Volunteers were friendly and knowledgeable. Well worth the two pound entry

I wandered in feeling as if showing interest, even though not, I was supporting. 3 people were standing against a table thing on right as I opened door, chatting. They did not speak or look at me. I looked on left at books like Redditch ghost. I poked my head around to look what is there. When man chatting with others suddenly shouted, YOU HAVE GOT TO PAY TO GO IN THERE. I was so embarrassed, he seemed to be accusing me of theft. Especially as I knew one of ladies he was chatting to from where I used to work. I have poor sight in dark/dull places due to Macular Degeneration that kills your centre sight. I have No centre sight in left eye. Having injections to save my other eye. I have Gloucoma in both eyes which effects perifual vision. The museum is asking for volunteers. Perhaps this man should not train anyone till he has had some customer training himself. Like not every disability is visable. I will not step into that place again.

Stadium
Valley Stadium is a lively and inviting place with great food, fun games, and a fantastic home crowd. The stadium features a new 4G pitch and offers reasonable prices for food and drinks. While the seating may be a bit worn out, the atmosphere is vibrant. The small but characterful shop has both new and old memorabilia for fans to enjoy. It's also wheelchair accessible, family-friendly, and has designated smoking and non-smoking areas.
Had our Xmas party here 21/12/24, staff were great, very accommodating, declen the bar manager couldn't do enough for us, really well organised. Sorted everything that we needed. Food was excellent, everyone loved it, more than enough to go around, all round great night. Thank you 😊
Gina P — Google review
Inadequate parking. Tiny seats in the "grandstand". Unfit for purpose. Massive unused spaces everywhere. Random construction. Bits taped off. No good line of sight anywhere. One of the worst grounds I've ever been to.
Chris G — Google review
Great food, great fun, great home crowd and great games! The new pitch is great, the staff are inviting and friendly and the atmosphere is brilliant. The only down side is the seating, it's a bit tired and rickety. The shop's small, compact but full of character and characters and has new and old memorabilia for fans of today or yesteryear. It's wheelchair accessible and family friendly and a jolly good place to spend a Saturday afternoon. There's a smoking and non smoking area too. Go on, you don't know what you're missing!
Darcy W — Google review
Decent stadium with a 4G pitch. Food and drinks available at reasonable prices. Think £10 is a bit expensive for admission fee beings what league they're in.
Kieran C — Google review
It's a good little ground and it looks like it will have some history. It's got character alright and is comfortable. Happy to return sometime. The bar area is very good but the catering struggled a bit for an occasion when more than the average number arrived.

Amazing experience watching Redditch United play against Alvechurch. You're just a small town upway, you're just a small town upway!
Robyn P — Google review
Nice little ground with good facilities and a well kept 3G pitch. You have to keep your eye out for the sign for it on the right hand side as you come out of Redditch centre, the ground is set well back from the road so it doesn't stand out if it is your first visit.
Chris L — Google review
Home of Redditch United, the stadium is accessed down a narrow lane. There is some free parking by the ground, but you may need to arrive early to take advantage of this. There is a nice clubhouse and bar on one side, while the rest of the ground is fairly basic, mostly concrete terrace. There are a few seats, adequate for the usual crowds but not offering a great deal of shelter from the rain. The staff are friendly and we had a great afternoons Perhaps not the greatest stadium, but a very interesting visit!

Our daughter lives nearby. The park has had a very good renovation by Redditch council.

A small play park with a roundabout, climbing frame, slide and swings for babies & older children. There is also a nice grassy area and a pond where you can feed the ducks. At the weekends parking is fine but it's busier on weekdays.
Rachael E — Google review
Park needs updating but overall a good area for kids to play and near Lodge park pool so my youngest can feed the ducks and see the fish

We had a brilliant time at Wildlings Nature Play! Such a beautiful unique setting and so much fun for the kids. Great activities for them set in the woods. I loved watching them explore and get messy. Lovely place, we’ll definitely be back 💚

We had an amazing morning at Wildlings Nature Play. The setting in the woodlands is just beautiful and it’s so peaceful! You walk down from the car park to the woods, it’s about a 10 minute walk but there are little carts to pull along the little ones if they get tired walking. The walk is lovely, past the farm animals into the wild flower field and through the opening into the woods. There are little nooks and cranny’s to different play areas for role play, there was a mud kitchen (which my daughter loved) sand pit, veg stall, arts and crafts etc and all around you whilst they play is wild garlic growing and an historic woodland! I highly recommend going Luu is lovely and so welcoming and friendly. Thank you for a lovely morning, looking forward to the next visit

Such a beautiful setting, really thoughtful activities - a bit different from the usual outdoor playgroup. I liked that my LO was encouraged to try things like hand drills and hammers that they wouldn't get to use at home. The owner even thinks about babies and adults attending and what they might get out of the sessions. So nice to see a truly eco-friendly playgroup too. When you book, there's a great welcome pack sent over with directions and things. We were invited to the opening session and were so impressed we booked onto the All Hallow's Eve session too. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time at Wildlings Nature Play. Our little one loved weaving our way down the trail, looking at the cows and jumping in puddles. When we got to the beautiful woodland, there were lots of lovely invitations to play, and it was so lovely to watch our little one get stuck in and his imagination to run free. Looking forward to coming back again and again, and see how the woodland changes with the seasons.
