Nice short hike from the bottom of the city Center. A nice museum shop, I didn’t go inside the museum. I enjoyed the view a lot. The weather was clear. There wasn’t much going on at the hour I went. Maybe there is in other seasons. Recommended trip. To park the car is tricky in the Center.

Walking up the path to the castle from town in about 10-15 minutes. It’s steep but has a paved path. Very nice views from on top, with a restaurant. If you drive up there’s a parking lot. There’s also a WC in the courtyard. Didn’t do a tour, but they have one. The castle was founded in 1204 by Duke Ludwig l. The castle and its views are a highlight while visiting Landshut.
Nice short hike from the bottom of the city Center. A nice museum shop, I didn’t go inside the museum. I enjoyed the view a lot.
Not easy to find with the car when you would try to find signs but Google maps can guide you :-)
They have a nice restaurant in the castle (build in 1204) where you also can sit outside and have a great view over the city Landshut.

Always excellent and highly recommended. Definitely the best Bavarian food you can find. Augustiner restaurants are held to a high standard and you can tell. Also their helles is the best you can get... and of course it's on tap. I prefer a wheat beer though, and they're really good too.

St. Martin's Church, also known as Martinskirche, is a significant Gothic monument in Landshut, Germany. Construction began around 1385 and was completed by 1500 with the involvement of master builder Hans Krumenauer and Hans von Burghausen. The church boasts extraordinary architecture that combines elements of high and late Gothic styles. Its tower stands at an impressive 130.1 meters, making it the tallest brick tower globally and in Bavaria. Visiting St.

Each of the five doors is uniquely styled. Inside the church is an 8-m hanging cross created from a lime tree bark that is spectacularly suspended high up. The stained glass windows, the stone pulpit, the Orgel, the frecoes, and the Leinberger Madonna date back to the 14th to 17th centuries.
Construction started in the 1380s and was completed in 1500. However, renovations continue to this day. During my visit, the spiral staircase to the underground area, and the actual tower were out of bounds.
Overall, it is an impressive piece of historical and religious architecture that is worth spending an hour of your Landshut trip.

Tonight visited it with a couple of company mates from different countries and all of us were absolutely over the moon. I've had a great Wiener Schnitzel (original art, which is done from calf, not pork). It was simply yummy and very tender! 😋 It comes with baked potatoes. And then I've decided to give it a try and got myself a dessert. I had vanilla ice cream topped with hot raspberries and whipped cream.🍨 ❤️👌🏻
And of course... beer. The one I had was a local specialty, a truly great lager type beer, which's been being brewed in a nearby town called Moos. And this beer brand was Mooser Liesl.🍺
