The Holy Church Prioral Cathedral Basilica, a magnificent place constructed over many years incorporating various architectural styles, is widely recognized for its majestic Baroque altarpiece. Another notable cathedral is the Catedral de Santa Maria del Prado, an exquisite Gothic-style structure erected in the 13th century. The main highlight of this cathedral is its extraordinary altarpiece, renowned as one of Spain's finest. This remarkable site captivates visitors with its beauty and exceptional features.
Beautiful place.

This cathedral is good indicated in the city. Its very huge and beautiful. The windows are extremely nice. There is also a cool orgel inside the cathedral. Its good accesable for disabled persons. Its free entrance, but no toilet inside. The gardens around the cathedral are very clean and do have beautiful plants.

(Translated by Google) It is one of the essential things to visit when passing through Ciudad Real, we liked it a lot. I don't go into details of its history, its altarpieces and so on, but I do recommend a visit. It is very beautiful inside and the park right in front of it is nice to rest while you contemplate it. (Translated by Google) Of the three Gothic churches in the city, the cathedral is the most recent. Admission is free and it has a single, immense nave. In fact, it is the second largest single-nave cathedral in Spain, after Girona. (Translated by Google) It draws attention for its enormous nave and magnificent altarpiece. That said, you can see it in 15 minutes. It's best to leave it alone, as no one will object to your visit. The plaza outside is also a good spot.

(Translated by Google) Well, in Ciudad Real, you absolutely must take a stroll and visit its cathedral. In my case, it was Sunday afternoon, and it was closed (the Lord's workers also have to eat). So, I had no choice but to walk around it, observing its various entrances, the thickness of its walls, the decoration of some of its arches, and the reliefs with biblical themes. It dates from the 15th century and is quite simple on the outside, although the height of its tower stands out and marks the city center. I didn't get to see the famous altarpiece or the chapels inside, but I'll be back next time. Only God knows.

Museum Quixote, also known as Cervantes Library, is a tribute to the iconic character from Miguel de Cervantes' work. The museum offers an interactive experience through art and multimedia, showcasing movies, exhibits, and paintings by Jose Jimenez Miranda. It houses a diverse range of exhibits related to Cervantes' masterpiece and La Mancha region. Visitors can explore over 3,500 titles in the library and admire 19th-century illustrations of Don Quixote.
I enjoyed the "chat" from Cervantes though some of the artwork seemed irrelevant. The statues outside of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza were lovely and very good that the museum entrance was free

What a fantastic museum. Love the interactive pieces. Great mixture of medi and the presentation of the information first class ( even though it is all in Spanish - sorry to the English couple who were there that did not enjoy it for that reason!). Staff were excellent and lifts too so wheelchair friendly all round.

(Translated by Google) This magnificent church, built by the Order of Santiago in the 13th century, is remarkable both for its imposing presence and its current state of preservation. It boasts an excellent level of conservation and contains elaborate artistic elements such as the coffered ceiling, its three naves topped with pointed arches, frescoes, and the keystone of the vault—some of which date back to the Battle of Alarcos. As a Catholic place of worship, it currently houses several brotherhoods or confraternities, which begin their Holy Thursday processions from the Guardapasos (a small, narrow entrance to the church) due to the narrowness of the beautiful main doorway. Finally, this church is the starting point for your Camino de Santiago (the Way of St. James in La Mancha).

The Puerta de Toledo in Ciudad Real, a testament to the city's Islamic heritage, is the sole remaining structure of the Royal Alcazar. Dating back to the 14th century, this impressive stone monument features six arches, two square towers, and ornate Castilla coat of arms. Situated within walking distance from the bus station, it serves as a prominent landmark in Ciudad Real. The nearby Hotel Cumbria provides convenient accommodation options for visitors.
Really interesting that it has the modern world around it but still stands out so well.

This stone monument is very striking and is a very special landmark in Cuidad Real. If you travel by bus 🚌 to Cuidad Real it will take you about 25 minutes to walk to. About five minutes walk further is the hotel Cumbria which is a good choice if you want to stay over. Worth visiting especially on a nice sunny day. 👍👍👍👍👍

A few months ago, I had the opportunity to visit Museo Diocesano de Ciudad Real for the first time. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by a knowledgeable guide who enthusiastically shared intriguing details about each artwork in the exhibition. These captivating anecdotes made our visit truly unforgettable. If you find yourself in Ciudad Real, I highly recommend visiting this museum to uncover its rich history and hidden treasures.
(Translated by Google) It has been a very positive discovery. A little corner where you can appreciate diocesan art from the entire province and, at the same time, learn a lot thanks to Cristina's explanations. At the same time, the museum is inside the bishopric (former episcopal palace), where you can also be surprised by part of the history that the building contains. Without a doubt, a highly recommended visit to Ciudad Real.

The staff is very friendly, no type of photography is allowed, they only let me take the one of the Holy Week steps that are in the patio. It is worth a visit and admission is free. Nestled in the vibrant heart of Ciudad Real, Plaza Mayor is a stunning elongated trapezoidal square that dates back to 1746 during the reign of Ferdinand VI. At one end stands the impressive Town Hall, while at the other, visitors can admire beautiful fountains and a monument dedicated to Alfonso X El Sabio. Although some may wish for more greenery, this lively plaza serves as a popular gathering spot for leisurely strolls and enjoying local cuisine and drinks.

Cabañeros National Park is a mountainous and forested area in Spain, home to a diverse range of endangered animals, birds, and plants. The park offers a wonderful experience for visitors with its stunning landscape and rich fauna. Tourists can enjoy guided tours to witness the appearance of animals along the Rana de Santiago, making it an exciting spectacle. Despite being described as quiet and peaceful, the park is filled with natural beauty waiting to be explored.
(Translated by Google) The great and beautiful unknown of the national parks, which you can discover thanks to organized visits (See my review of Aventuras Cabañeros) The Cabañeros National Park is located in the Montes de Toledo, one of the oldest mountain formations on the peninsula. The main flora is the Mediterranean forest, including a beautiful area of plain, known as La Raña, made up of holm oaks and areas of low grass. This is the most characteristic image of the park, and is reminiscent of the Serengeti Park on a small scale. The animals that live in this environment are mainly deer, fallow deer, roe deer, foxes, rabbits, black vultures and imperial eagles. I recommend visiting* the park in the morning, if you go in autumn-winter, and in the afternoon, if you go in spring-summer. When I have visited I have been able to see a large number of animals that roam freely in an environment, very little intervened by the hand of man. *Note: Keep in mind that in September the great rutting spectacle takes place (deer mating period), and visits are in high demand.

(Translated by Google) It is a great place to enjoy nature in its purest form. Well... I correct myself, not in its purest form. Part of the natural park is fenced, especially the Raña area, where there is most hunting activity, and you cannot access it on foot, only with 4x4 outings, at €25 per person. On the other side of the park there are countless private hunting reserves, also fenced, which prevent hiking. That is to say, either you scratch your pocket, or you have to look very hard to see the fauna of the area. I hope that business doesn't get any worse because it doesn't seem fair to me.

Nestled along Descubrimientos Avenue, Playa Park is a delightful destination for families seeking a day of fun in the sun. This charming water park boasts an array of aquatic attractions, including thrilling waterslides and a wave generator that promises excitement for all ages. With an artificial beach area perfect for lounging and soaking up rays, it’s an ideal spot to unwind.
Awesome, superb, must go,excellent water park for all ages and not very expensive. It was 12 Euros for entrance fee including parking and all water slides. Hidden fees is the beach laying chair, 2.5 euro each. The water park is very similar to the expensive water parks in orlando, florida but cheaper. They have 6 water slides (2 for kids and 4 for adults) and the wave pool, at 5 pm they have a group dance to burn the calories of dinner. Plenty of shade and umbrellas. Bring yur own slippers,it is too hot to walk on the cement and even on the grass because it is artificial green plastic grass. It is a must go for all tourists, hidden gem tucked in the middle of spain.

I was visiting from Canada. While my husband had to work, I thought this location would be a great place to relax for the day. I walked to the Park which was just over 30 minutes. While, the gate was open & there were cars in the parking lot, there was not a single person to be found. In addition, the pools were empty. I’m assuming that this park is not yet open for the season, but PLEASE update your website and/or Google search to reflect a seasonal closure. The park did look like a great time. I just wish there was disclosure around actual seasonal hours. Thank you!

Nice but not perfect. What I liked: There are lots of slides (perfect for different age groups from little kids to adults); the tallest slides are really quite tall and fast; the staff seems to be really interested in making sure everyone is safe and nothing bad happens (they even force you to take off your glasses, but this is probably a good idea); the lawn has enough space to even handle days with lots of visitors without feeling cramped; you don't have to wait in line for long at the slides even if the whole site is quite full. What was not so nice: The slides are the main attraction, there's not much more interesting to see or do; the blue slide left a very broad blue streak on my swim shorts, the red slide scratched the elbows of one of my friends; the slides cost extra even if they are the main attraction of the park; if you get water into your mouth, it tastes really awful, but this always happens when using the faster slides; the white slides are really slow, quite boring.

The Ermita Virgen del Castillo spiritist center is a must-visit location in the area. The road leading to it, although narrow, offers breathtaking views that should not be missed. For those driving from Almaden, it is recommended to take the paved route that connects with the road to Chillon rather than the one heading towards Cordoba. This impressive place offers a 360-degree landscape that will leave visitors amazed.

(Translated by Google) A hermitage inside a medieval fortress. You can reach the gate by car. The three-kilometer access road isn't bad at all, but it's very narrow in several sections, so crossing paths with another vehicle coming the other way could be difficult. There's a rather small parking area, a cafe, and drinks. Incredible views. When I visited, it was infested with insects; I don't know if it will always be like this.

In it, mainly the inhabitants of the town Chillón (Ciudad Real), venerate their Virgen del Castillo. From there you can see three autonomous communities: Castilla La Mancha, Extremadura and Andalusia. (Translated by Google) One of the best attractions of Chillón (Ciudad Real). The hermitage is located in the mountain range of the same name and built on the remains of a castle built on the border that separated the Christian kingdoms from the Muslims. Access has to be by car and along a very narrow and steep road. Before arriving you pass through a gate with a door that remains closed at night. Once up and next to a TV repeater tower. and telephone there is a small space to leave the car. After crossing the access gate to the fortified area, we find the walled area with an interior patio, a watchtower and a cistern (apparently still in use) behind a fence. The battlements and the hermitage, very well preserved and maintained by the man who was once the "santero", who has his own house. The hermitage is open during the day and is small and charming. The views of Extremadura, Andalusia and Castilla la Mancha are spectacular except when there is fog. Admission is free.

The Virgin Mary is super cool, as are the views you get to see from the fortress walls—simply incredible. A must-see if you're passing through the town. We saw a Zarzuela play at 20 Euros per ticket. They ONLY take CASH, no cards. It is a good theatre in general, clean and well kept. Good acoustic. They sell no drinks or food inside. Some patrons had their own snacks before the show and during intermission.
