Glacier
Plaine Morte is a stunning glacial plateau that offers a range of activities for nature enthusiasts. Visitors can explore hiking paths leading to the summit, take a funicular ride, or enjoy cross-country ski trails in the winter. The panoramic views of the Bernese and Valais Alps, including iconic peaks like Wildstrubel, Weisshorn, Dent Blanche, Matterhorn, and Mont Blanc are truly spectacular. The cable car provides convenient access almost to the summit.
The glacier is the highest part of the resort. During the winter, the snow holds better up there than on other mountain slopes, which are sometimes south-facing and therefore have softer snow. We recommend a guide or instructor to safely explore the different spots based on your personal technical level.

(Translated by Google) Just a stone's throw from Crans Montana. We recommend taking the cable car, at least for the last stretch. It's very difficult to do on foot. The return to Crans, especially after getting off the first cable car, is doable and also very beautiful to walk. Overall, the glacier is stunning, and once you reach the high altitude, it feels like you've landed on the moon. It's truly a must-see if you're in the Crans Montana area. Furthermore, if you're staying in Crans Montana, you're entitled to the My Explorer Card, which allows you to pay a return ticket for just CHF 19. (Original) A due passi da Crans Montana. Si consiglia di prendere la funivia. Almeno nell' ultimo tratto.

Yesterday a golfing Dream came true for me, at last to Play the Crans Sur Sierre Severiano Ballesteros Course, well it was better than I ever imagined, the quality of everything was just perfect. Very freindly and efficient staff with a warm welcome, the whole place just oozes charachter, and you feel the history, charm and excitement. Stepping onto the first tee is something special indeed. The maintainence and quality of the course is exceptional, greens true and quick, gorgeous fairways, but the views!! OMG!! I have player over 800 golf courses before and Crans Sur Sierre just jumped straight into my top 10, thankyou to the staff and the three very freindly members I played with for a day to remember for a long time❤️🇨🇭🏌️‍♂️

Unreal landscapes that form the backdrop of an interesting course. Definitely worth the trip.
Andrew N — Google review
Super course with amazing views in the mountains. On a beautiful day you'll enjoy your golf to the fullest. Not a hard walk either given that it's in the Alps. Nicely laid out course that is neither too challenging nor too easy. Restaurant serves great food, reserve your table on the terrace. It's busy on a sunny day. Baguette at half way house very tasty and coffee hot. Lovely to play golf here
Hendrik A — Google review
One of the most beautiful golf courses in Switzerland, the view on the 7th hole is breathtaking, probably the most beautiful hole in Switzerland. Greens are wavy, difficult to play, especially before and after the European masters from mid to late August. Little rough, so it's easy for high handicap players.
Adi H — Google review
Pretty spectacular course with 360 view of the Alps and the valley. Definitely opt for this course over the Jack Nicklaus course next door. This course is also in better shape and much more forgiving!
Ben C — Google review
How to Ruin a Wonderful Sunny Day Terrible experience. Pace of play was unbearably slow, and no marshals were on the course. We even called the caddie master to get help, but they didn’t care. Certain players clearly weren’t ready for the course, and with no oversight, the round was completely frustrating. Time and money wasted. Having said the above, the course is spectacular and greens were amazing to play. Fast! Hooefully course Marshalls wake up!

Perfect spot for beginners and small kids. Works for ski and snowboard as well with slopes finishing with flat part, just what's needed to stop safely. Only downside is the lack of parking spots or indicators from the outside to find the area.

(Translated by Google) Like everywhere, the indications are poorly done. Parking is not at all easy even though it is a place for the majority of children. You have to walk miles with all the gear to get there. Closing at 4:30 p.m., at 4:15 p.m. the staff already stops the lifts to be sure to leave at 4:30 p.m. Frankly, at the price of the package and the standard that this means, it's just crap.

Caprices Festival is an extraordinary event that spans two weekends and takes place in a transparent tent nestled 2,200m high in the Swiss Alps. It offers a one-of-a-kind experience for dance music enthusiasts. The 2021 lineup included renowned artists such as Deborah De Luca, Paco Osuna, and Guy Gerber. This festival is a must-visit for those seeking an unforgettable musical journey in a breathtaking alpine setting.
Amazing experience!! Worth trying
Mahmoud M — Google review
Good vibe and music line up, could have been better arranged for toilets and service
Kunal L — Google review
The crowd, music and scenery were great. The VIP experience was overpriced and space small. Organization at event felt a bit amateurish. Leaving took over 1.5 hours. The situation felt chaotic and borderline dangerous, clearly not meeting basic event safety standards.
Patricia W — Google review
Everything about this festival is just mediocre. The organisation is subpar. This year was the 20th anniversary edition - you‘d think in 2 decades they‘d have gained some experience in handling such an event. But it seems the opposite is true: overcrowded, chaotic, no timetable communicated, people smoking everywhere thanks to security that don’t care and pretty pricey at that. If you are lucky enough to be on the Modernity stage and the sun is shining, it‘s worth it - assuming the stage isn’t closed due to weather which it was twice this year (I get that you can’t do anything about weather but it’s also not exactly surprising that there may be harsh conditions at 2200m in April lmao).

Specialty Museums
Located in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, the Fondation Suisse des Trains Miniatures is a must-visit for train enthusiasts and history buffs. The museum boasts an extensive collection of model trains that vividly depict 150 years of Swiss railroad history. Visitors rave about the passionate and knowledgeable proprietor who offers engaging tours, making the experience enjoyable for all ages. Even those not particularly interested in trains find themselves captivated by the museum's charm and the enthusiastic storytelling behind each exhibit.
This museum is one of the best museums I have visited. The collection itself is already impressive. The lady who is operating the museum is very nice. It's really amazing to see how passionate she is when talking about the different stories behind the collections! My 3 yrs old son liked the lady and the museum very much that he didn't want to leave the museum.
Miaoxiao X — Google review
A tour presented and animated by a very energetic and passionate lady made the difference between just spending time with kids and having an entertaining and enjoyable experience discovering a piece of swiss train history. Get there with some 3 years old and you'll never come out of here without some tears and whining to get back to check those trains.
JayC M — Google review
Rude reception, kicked us out because we arrived at 12 and they close at 1 for lunch and only do 1.5h guided tours. No option for self guided visit, even with young children.
Elliot L — Google review
The miniature trains museum is worth visiting first of all for the tour guide, a very sociable lady who loves her work a lot. She speaks French, English, German and Italian. She explains in a very beautiful manner the way trains work, their history, every maquette. She also presents interactive games and moving maquettes. There is even a small model of the funiculaire connecting Sierre and Crans-Montana. The time needed to visit the museum is at least one and a half hour. There are two floors with small trains. This museum is a good destination for the whole family. It is included in the Swiss Travel Pass.
Andreea A — Google review
A hidden gem in Crans Montana. Ms Boivin was a delight in showing us around her museum of miniature trains. The passion and knowledge she has made this onw of our enjoyable visits in the town. Cinécran in Crans Montana is a beloved institution, offering the latest movies often in their original English version. While it may not be a large theater, it provides a cozy and charming atmosphere for moviegoers. The sound and picture quality are generally good, although 3D screenings may not be as impressive as regular showings. Despite slightly higher ticket prices, visitors appreciate the quaint and welcoming ambiance of the cinema, along with its friendly staff.
This might not be a big theatre, but in Crans Montana this is an institution. You will often find the last movie in Avant-première hier. Most of the movies are in original version (english). Sound is good, picture too. 3D might not be as good as normal screening. For a movie after a nice dinner in the resort, this is the place !

Boulangerie Taillens has recently undergone a delightful renovation, transforming its space in Crans-Montana into a modern yet inviting haven for food lovers. This charming bakery offers an impressive array of artisan breads, pastries, and viennoiseries that beautifully blend traditional techniques with contemporary flair. Guests can savor the rich flavors of homemade hot chocolate served with a unique chocolate spoon or indulge in delectable treats like pistachio-chocolate pastries and freshly baked croissants.
We stopped by Boulangerie Taillens for breakfast since it was the only café open around 10 a.m. The food was tasty, and the service friendly, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Prices are on the higher side, but that’s quite normal for Crans-Montana. The bakery itself is beautiful, and I would definitely return to try more of their pastries.

Chai latte very delicately prepared and served . We had a lovely time here . Order and bur pastries, take your seat then order your tea
Jerome G — Google review
Very disappointing experience. We walked in excited to try some pastries, but the service was extremely unpleasant. The young woman addressed us in French and when we asked to switch to English her attitude was rude and dismissive - eyerolling and making annoyed faces. I've honestly never experienced anything like that. I ordered a cream puff that looked beautiful, but it was overwhelmingly sweet - all I could taste was sugar - and the pastry itself didn't feel fresh at all. Such a shame.

My favorite Taillens in Crans-Montana. Can be very busy but the food, service and the hygen worth visiting. I just hope they add more variety of gluten free food and desserts.

The waiter was unfriendly and a bit mocking when he realized we didn’t speak French. He claimed he spoke perfect English — and then brought the wrong size of tea than what we ordered :) We decided not to order anything else and left. Most likely the best burger in town! The bread is crunchy outside and soft inside. Good idea on adding avocado to give freshness. Nothing to say about the restaurant style and service. All good! Really recommended if you want to have a burger.

Great burger lounge in Crans-Montana! The place is nice, but you should book your table because it's often full. The burgers are very tasty and the French fries are outstanding! The staff is very friendly and the service is usually fast. The prices are premium but the quality is there. 5/5
Nicolas R — Google review
Very adequate pricing, nice atmosphere, great food quality (beef patty was nice and juicy, falafel burger was well balanced with sauces) Value for money is 10/10! And a bonus: wide variety of high quality craft beers!
Arkadiy S — Google review
Fantastic place for a burger and cold beer. We had the smoked salmon burger, falafel burger and cheeseburger with fries. All delicious. Very friendly and efficient service. You can walk in and get a table but might be best to book at busy times.
Richard C — Google review
Positive: the burgers and fries are delicious. Negatives: I know it’s in Switzerland (and in Crans), but this place is taking the national/local rip-off to extreme levels by charging customers 6 CHF for fries….and then serving you hardly any fries (I counted 10). And get this…you get charged 1 CHF for a tiny cup of ketchup (or whatever condiment you ask for). Also, the burger comes wrapped loosely in a baking sheet and is really difficult and messy to eat, no cutlery is provided, and it’s served on a tiny broken piece of slate (tedious).
Tom S — Google review
Great service from staff. Food is delicious. They need to have salt and pepper on the tables was difficult to get.
Hattan B — Google review
Honestly this was one of the top burgers I have had in the world and who would have thought it would have been in a mountainside in Switzerland....if you like burger this is a 100% target to try
Walt L — Google review
The burgers here are delicious, the chef/owner comes out and is very delightful and deservedly proud of his creations. The burgers are handmade and cooked MR to medium so they’re perfect. The frites are also crispy and good. If they have the lemon meringue, be sure to treat yourself as it’s a real delectable special treat. :) 5*****

Happyland is a fantastic place to take your kids for a fun-filled day of activities and entertainment. The staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities are top-notch, with plenty of things to keep kids of all ages entertained. There are a variety of rides and attractions. One of the things we appreciated most about Happyland was how safe and secure it felt. The staff were very attentive and kept a close eye on the children, which gave us peace of mind as parents/ unties. The entire facility was clean and well-maintained, which added to the overall positive experience. we had a wonderful time at Happyland and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and safe place to take their kids. If you're looking for a cozy and family-friendly atmosphere, this is definitely the place for you!

The park was empty (Swiss kids just started school) and my kids were 3, 5 and 8. For the 3 y.o it was unbelievable ( this park is mostly for younger kids) although my older kids also had a blast. The one thing that made our visit fantastic was that the park wad totally empty, so we tried all rides many times. Its a basic park and the price was fairly expensive, but there is a really nice view and its great for younger ages. Overall very happy.

Fantastic amusement park for the little ones! My kids (4 & 2) had a absolute blast on a beautiful fall day. Big enough to pass a day but small enough that you don't need to worry about losing your kids out of sight. We will come back!

Accessible by gondolas, this mountain restaurant features a Trattoria valaisanne serving regional specialties. In addition to stunning vistas, visitors can enjoy delicious meals such as Rosti and Beef Cheek while taking in the panoramic scenery.
Stunning views, great ski station! All slopes are facing south and enjoy the sun all day long. Restaurants serve take away food and drinks during COVID restrictions. Little crowd during this crisis.

The staff was overloaded and very grumpy. We went instead to the self-service on the ground floor. We enjoyed good food and the same beautiful views but without having to put up with the appalling service.
Peter S — Google review
This place has the award for the worst music played in the Alps. It's unbearable, it's loud and the staff are grumpy and unhappy. The premises are untidy, unclean and I can imagine the restaurant in a prison being smarter. For a swiss resort this is about the lowest
Alex H — Google review
DO NOT GO HERE. We had a really bad experience here. We went with my family (12 in total). In the beginning, we were seated very quickly, the waitor was really nice to us and gave us our drinks. However, as the restaurant started to fill up, the service got drastically slower. We had to wait a long time for the waitor to come back to order our food. Whoever is in charge of the restaurant should have had hired more waitors!!! They were only two of them to take care of the clients inside and outside of the restaurant! My mom's french fries were cold, they never took away the dishes from each course (they were just pilling up on our table), we were not served at the same time (even tough I admit we were 12, my little cousin had to wait 15min for her nuggets and fries to come out), our food was not that great... Finally, when the bill came, they added one meal too much and they did not offer the hot French fries that my mom reordered. So, it was normal that we asked that the additional meal to be removed since it was a mistake. Instead, the waitor got really mad, and finally offered the french fries and the hot drinks but called my mom a "ca**o" in Italian which means "d**k in English!!!

Hiking Trails
Bisse du Ro is a picturesque trail consisting of narrow footbridges that wind around mountains and valleys. The official 5km route takes about two hours to complete, leading to the stunning Tseuzier dam and lake. Starting from parking du Bisse du Ro, the flat walk to the suspension bridge takes approximately 30 minutes without stops. Although some parts are narrow, they are safe and secured. The recently built suspension bridge offers access to the Tzeusier dam.
Beautiful hike with stunning views all around! The trail is well-marked and the scenery at the top is absolutely worth the effort. Perfect for a peaceful day in nature! Highly recommend.

Yesterday, my freinds and I went for a "girls hike" purposefully to Bisse du ro. We had an amazing time walking through the paths. Terrific view of nature: the mountains, the trees, the waterfalls in the mountains. It took us about 3 hours from Lac Crans Motanna to the Bisse du ro and back. I must admit that I am scared of height but if I could so it, then you can. I was encouraged when I saw a good number of people hiking around there. The views are wonderful, I strongly recommend this.👌 👍. We were fortunate to be there on Saturday which was the 25th anniversary of the Cantonal Music Festival. Very experienced njce life music from nicely dressed and bueatiful people. We also got free wine🍷 🤪 served to everyone who attended the opening event. 😀

Yesterday we left Crans Montana and followed this trail, which is not overly difficult but really really long (if you are on a tight schedule avoid it). It will eventually lead you to a wonderful dam with a lake. There are several benches on the way where you can rest, but it gets a bit scary at times, especially on the bridge. Overall a lovely attraction, definitely worth a visit.
El C — Google review
Hey - that was surprisingly nice . Not so crowded with tourists. Anyway take hike. Not just driving to the damb.
Arvydas P — Google review
A very nice walk on this Bisse trail. You can park at “parking du Bisse du ro”. At the parking, there’s also a restaurant. From the parking, it’s a flat walk all the way to the suspension bridge. Takes about 30 minutes without stop. Almost no elevation, crossing several bridges. Some parts can be narrow but they’re all safe and secured. The suspension bridge was only recently built in 2021. From there you can continue to Tzeusier dam. Still, recommended to go only on dry weather days, otherwise some parts can be slippery.
Jeanette W — Google review
Gorgeous hike but unfortunately the path was damaged andth therefore the road closed. We tried anyway but decided to turn back out of safety reasons. We will definitely come again when it is restored as the little part that we could do was already breathtaking

Our group of 10 visited Casino Crans Montana this evening. The atmosphere was pleasant with a great mix of table games and slot machines. We had a good meal at the casino's restaurant, but the experience was soured by poor service. We were overcharged by 40 euros, and when we noticed, we were told it was the machine's fault and that they couldn't refund us. Instead of rectifying the mistake, the server undercharged others in our group and suggested we collect the difference ourselves. Management handled the situation poorly, with no accountability or apology, leaving us disappointed.

This is the best way to protect yourself and others from infection.

Also, my experience with booking over the phone was very nice, the lady on the phone was very kind and helped a lot. We had great experience, so highly recommended.

We purchased classes for 3 days , 3 hrs each for snowboarding for my daughter. The instructor was mediocre at best. She pretty much was the same level when she started despite having 6 hrs lessons. On the 3rd and last day her bottom was totally blue and barely able to walk. she later told me she had a really bad fall the day before with the instructor conveniently overlooked not informing me , nor advising her that most probably she won't be able to move the next day!! I had purchased insurance for that exact reason, only to find out they do not honor the scam of insurance they sell! they wanted my daughter to go to a doctor, take scans, Xrays , etc to ensure no concussion / fracture is present and then perhaps review the doctors note to decide! I did go to the main office trying to speak to the manager explaining that we are from US and my doctor visit will eb more than the refund for the last day we had to miss, and also being a healthcare provider I can tell my daughter doesn't have a broken bone nor having a concussion yet she refused to refund our last day despite having purchased their insurance that should have covered missing class due to illness, her excuse? my teacher won't get paid!!! OUTRAGEOUS

My girl had a wonderful time during her lessons during eastern last year and christmas break this year. She learned a lot and she really liked it, so she looked forward to get lessons this carnival holidays. Well, such a big disappointment for her en for me.... She was put together with beginners, today she was moved to an other group of beginners which are a little bit better but still.... This is a complete waste of money and time. After this week she will have learned nothing at all. In the morning i go with her skiing practically everywhere: Bella lui, nationale, plaine morte, cabane de bois, la toula, la tsa, lower part of chetzeron,... in the afternoon she has to ski from signal to Montana in plow while she skis parallel which makes it even difficult for her. They don't even go skiing on the verdets slope. I probably better give up and ski with her the whole day instead of letting her getting frustrated more and more every day while following lessons she doesn't need. As it seems, this is probably the last time she gets lessons. I do a much better job teaching her right now ;) or should it be :-(
Franz D — Google review
I've improved so much under the tutelage of Patrick, who has been so kind and patient with me during our lessons. Starting skiing as an adult is really no easy feat, as we have so much more fear than kids. But Patrick helped me to overcome the fear. Highly recommend him and ESS over any other school on Crans Montana. Also, they've been around for so many years, teaching my husband from when he was a toddler. We're now in our 30s. So that says a lot about their experience. Go with ESS and support local!

We mostly book via ESS for our ski lessons. It is easy to find English speaking coaches. ESS Crans Montana was in particular very accommodating to our many requests. Not far from it, there is a nice high street with high end shops including Rolex, Omega and more Next it also there is a small waterslide. Hope you like my review and I will be glad if you hit the like icon 😊

Hiking area
Nestled in the picturesque Rhone Valley, the Supérieure Bisse du Ro is a remarkable testament to human ingenuity and nature's beauty. This historical irrigation canal system was meticulously crafted by local farmers centuries ago to channel vital mountain water to the fertile fields and vineyards below. Embarking on a hike along these serene waterways offers an enchanting experience, where you can soak in stunning views of gentle mountains and vibrant meadows. The trail itself is pleasantly flat, making it accessible for hikers of all levels.
It's so great that the irrigation waterways, called bisse, created together by the local farmers in Wallis many centuries ago have now been partly turned into hiking paths. These are more or less difficult, in the case of the Ro it's easy to hike and you do not even need sticks to make it to the Tseuzier dam on the western side of the valley. The problem is you have to hike back if you came by car to the Ro parking or take a long bus ride back to Crans where you started.

I enjoy walking to the suspension bridge and back, which usually takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes. It’s a flat, scenic hike—ideal for sunny days as the trail is shaded by plenty of trees. However, it’s not suitable for children, as certain parts of the path run alongside steep valley edges that can be hazardous.

(Translated by Google) Bisse du Ro: A very flat hiking trail with one highlight. After about 45 minutes of walking, you'll reach the highlight: the "Passerelle du Bisse," a 124-meter-long suspension bridge 80 meters above the ground. The hiking trail along the bisse is in very good condition. To visit the suspension bridge, continue along the same path for about eight minutes after the end of the water channel. There is ample free parking directly at the entrance to the Bisse. Recommendation: An exciting hike for the whole family.

Mountain cable car
When exploring the charming region of Aminona, make sure to carve out some time for the Funitel Plaine Morte. This remarkable cable car experience is a highlight of any visit to Crans-Montana, whisking you up to an impressive altitude of over 2,900 meters. As you ascend, prepare to be mesmerized by breathtaking panoramic views that stretch across the majestic Alps; on clear days, iconic peaks like Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn come into view!
The cable car is the only way to reach the glacier in winter, apart from ski skins if you're an expert 👉😂. The snow is often at a good temperature and the slopes are very varied for intermediate levels but also steep in some sections. For safety, we recommend to booking a guide or instructor if you don't know where to go.
