Kiviksgraven, located in Kivik, Sweden, is a significant Bronze Age burial site along with Angakasen. The town of Kivik also serves as the gateway to attractions like Kiviks Musteri, the largest orchard in Sweden, and Stenshuvud National Park. The tomb features ancient paintings on its stones and is easily accessible with nearby parking.
Small access fee. What you see is a reconstruction, but it is better protected and visitable this way. The painted slabs are beautiful and make you wonder about the meaning.

A great place to visit! Absolutely worth the visit. Do not miss it if you are around. Such a pity though that it is not advertised enough and appreciated as it deserves. The ticket was not expensive at all and the feeling one cam get after entering the main site is very mysterious and exciting. Especially if one goes when not crowded. There is a cafe in the entrance you can get cake and souvenirs.
Hemaseh M — Google review
A small place with the famous King's grave from the bronze age. You can easily see it all in 30 minutes. A place to learn about bronze age burial traditions. However, no artifacts left, only rocks. Don't miss the quaint little cafe by the dam and creek next to the burial mound.
Bo K — Google review
45 sek to see a couple of stones that are not even originally from there. The entire place has been reconstructed. The whole museum entrance is the picture below: One dark room. In addition, there is not much to learn about those rocks. The explanation at the entrance explain that there are hypothesis about what are those rocks about and it is still not clear if those hypothesis have been Confirmed or not.

Loved this place... 2500 year old burial chamber with petrogylphs. Beautiful, powerful, immense.
Frank C — Google review
Very interesting historic spot! Very much worth a visit and exploration.
K L — Google review
Very impressive tomb with old paintings on the stones. It is easy to reach, there is a quite big parking nearby and the place is really impressive. It costs 30kr to go in, and you visit in around ten minutes but the atmosphere is really cool. They do not keep it really well, the informations on the walls are interesting but more suited to a child to an adult, while the place could be advertised much more and it is really an unique experience in Sweden.

Nature & Parks
Stenshuvud's National Park is a serene sanctuary where lush deciduous forests meet pristine white-sand beaches, offering an idyllic setting for swimming, hiking, and picnicking. Situated in Osterlen, the park provides breathtaking panoramic views of the coast and surrounding landscapes. While planning is essential due to the vast area and limited amenities, visitors can enjoy leisurely walks through beautiful woodlands, take in stunning viewpoints, and relax on the sandy beach.
One of the best walks I have been on. We took a 4.2 km hike and it had everything. We crossed through the forest, there was a viewpoint that was worth the climb, a sunny beach to dip into to cool off, and at last a rocky finish to make the hike a bit challenging but still very manageable. Definitely worth the drive to there.
Rob K — Google review
Every beach along the coast seems to be very different. This beach has tons of beautiful pebbles that are smooth and some are pretty colorful. Worth a visit!
Kien P — Google review
A really nice hike if you start from the Hällevik side, right by the Kivik Musteri. There is also a parking and a camping spot. We went directly to the northern top which was a few kilometers. After that we went down to Naturum and from there to the beach. From the beach we took a path back to Hällvik, which was quite rocky so not suitable for too small kids or strollers. We had 4 and 6 year olds with us and they found the hike quite exciting and not so hard. In total we walked about 6-7 km, starting from 17 o’clock until 21. We also had a picnic on the top of the mountain and then had a stop for swimming and snacking at the beach. I was worried for the last part of the hike but I gave some lollipops to the kids and it really motivated them. If you come at the end of May you will find a blossoming rhododendrons at Hällevik.

A picturesque, varied and interesting national park. Not that large, one can visit most parts of the park in a few hours by foot.

Great national park. Went there in autumn. It was just gorgeous hike. Hike goes through hilly forest and next to beach. Have couple picking spots. Looking forward to go there in other season as it must be great all year around.

One of my favourite spots in Skåne. Beautifull beach, some nice walks in the national park, great views from the top of the 'stonehead'. They also have some good grilling spots, just bring some coal and meat, or whatever floats your boat ;)

Kivik Cider factory is a must-visit destination in Kivik, offering a comprehensive experience for visitors. The facility includes a small museum, an expansive shop with various apple-based products, and an orchard featuring labeled apple trees. Guests can indulge in cider tastings during specified hours or opt for evening tastings with snacks. Families will appreciate the educational tours and the opportunity to explore the apple trees.
If you love apples this is the place to be. Big garden with lots of different types of apples. Big store with different types of juices and lemonades and other types of goodies. You even have the opportunity to sit at the restaurant or cafe to sit down and enjoy some coffee or ofcourse apple juice.
Rob K — Google review
A worthy stop when in Österlen. There is a cafe, a shop and a viewing factory where they display some of the machinery and juice making process, fun to see for kids. The cafe was somewhat pricier than normal. For example, a piece of apple pie was 59kr. The shop, on the other hand, is cheaper than what you would pay in a store. There were many people on a Friday afternoon, but I wouldn’t say crowded. The biggest attraction is swings in the tree that are super high. Kids loved it as it goes really high, very popular.
Iryna V — Google review
Really nice stop if you’re in the area! Nice cafe offering different options for fika or lunch, with a bit of an apple twist. Vegetarian options, dogs allowed.

The English Garden is a charming garden located in a picturesque setting. It pleasantly surprised me, as I am from England myself, and they have done an exceptional job capturing the essence of an English garden. I will certainly visit again in the future. I highly recommend checking out this lovely place! The entrance fee is reasonable, and there is a flower shop conveniently situated at the entrance. In addition to the garden itself, there are themed gift shops and a dining area available for visitors to enjoy.
A very lovely English inspired garden that's in a beautiful location. It really surprised me since I'm from England myself and they really did an excellent job on the theme. Will definitely be visiting again in the future. I recommend checking this place out! It's also a fair price to pay for entry and there's a flower shop at the entrance. Outside of the garden, there's themed gift shops and a place to eat too!

Beautiful store - nice ambiance reflecting the classic English home and a good collection of indoor & outdoor plants including plenty of pots for the trees, the colors of the pots and the contrast of the place gives you a new era vibe. It does cover the mainstream garden house in a simplest new era English house model way and I recommend visiting this place if you're around Kivik or Simrishamn.

FABRIKEN Bästekille is a vibrant hub for art enthusiasts, showcasing the remarkable works of renowned Swedish artist Madeleine Pyk until November 3rd. At 90 years old, her artistic journey is beautifully represented through an array of photographs, paintings, and installations that reflect her evolution over time. The venue also hosts a delightful mix of local and international artists during events like the Eastern Art Fair in Skåne, where visitors can enjoy engaging and accessible artworks.
One of Sweden’s best liked artists Madeleine Pyk shows all her work until November the 3rd. She is 90, still going strong, and it’s very interesting to see how she developed through her lifetime. As well photographs of her as paintings and some installations or statues are here to enjoy!

My favorite place for viewing excellent art during the eastern art fair in Skåne. Lots of artists, mix of locals and foreign artists. Usually more on the fun than strange side of art, but always really good art. Small community driven cafe as well.

Ravlunda Kyrka is a stunning historical church that captures the essence of Scania's architectural heritage. Dating back to the early 13th century, its oldest sections, including the nave and choir, exude charm and history. The west tower was added later in the 15th century, enhancing its picturesque silhouette. Visitors can explore this enchanting site with friendly guides who share fascinating stories about notable individuals buried here.
Beautiful, idyllic situated church in the soft hills of Ravlundas coastline. You will find a silent bench outside to look into the distance or inside the church to enjoy.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful old church with well-preserved old interior. The oldest parts of the church, the nave, the choir and the apse on the east side, date from the beginning of the 13th century. The tower on the west side was possibly included in the plan from the beginning, but was only built later, sometime in the 15th century. The only outside gate is now located on the south side of the church and leads to the armory, which was built in the 15th century. In the 17th century an extension was made on the north side. The current pews date from the middle of the 18th century. The church has a capacity of 130 people.

(Translated by Google) We made a trip to Vitemölla beach on August 3, 2023 and we were surprised at how relaxing and picturesque it was. The beach was very calm and well maintained, giving an atmosphere of true nature experience. The beach was not crowded at all, which gave us a sense of seclusion and privacy. This seclusion also allowed us to really take in the sound of the waves and birdsong, which added to the overall sense of calm. We had a picnic with us, which suited the environment perfectly. The place was clean, which allowed us to settle down on a blanket without a problem. Everything was peaceful and we could really enjoy the tranquility of nature. We brought sandwiches and thermoses of tea with us, which helped make the picnic extra cozy. The water on the beach was very clear and inviting. It was a pleasure just to watch the small waves rolling in towards the shore. However, the water was too cold for us to fully enjoy it, which was a shame. Despite this, it still provided a wonderful view and added to the lovely atmosphere of the beach. There is a public toilet nearby which was handy and appreciated. In addition, it contributed to the feeling that the place is well-kept and comfortable.

We have been visiting the Art Center in the middle of September. Nice location and concept for an open air museum, but unfortunately most of the paths were covered with sheep feces, making the whole experience less enjoyable. A few of the art pieces were also not accessible or in a bad state. In full honesty, not worth the 100kr per person cost for the entrance fee in this state. If cleaned up and fixed then worth a stop.

Nestled in the charming village of Kivik, the Museum and Archives of Kivik serves as a delightful local treasure for both residents and visitors. This museum showcases the rich history of Kivik and its neighboring areas, including Vitemolla, Ravlunda, Vitaby, and Sodra Mellby. (Translated by Google) Is a local museum for Kivik and its surroundings, that is Kivik, Vitemölla, Ravlunda, Vitaby and Södra Mellby. The museum is located in the northern part of the municipality of Simrishamn and is one of Österlen's oldest and largest local museums. Kiviks Museum was already founded at the end of the 19th century by the village's son, Ola Cappelin. For many years, the collections were scattered in different places in Kivik, including at Kivik's old school and at Ola Cappelin's home. On his death in 1948, he bequeathed 2,000 kroner to the survival of the museum, and Kivik's Homeland and Museum Association saw the light of day. However, the association did not last that long, and already in 1955 it was decided that the collections would be moved to the then newly built new school at Kivik, which is still in use. The museum has therefore been located in the basement of Kivik's school, a stone's throw from Kiviksgraven, since 1955. In the collections at Kiviks Museum has over 4,000 items from Kivik and the surrounding area. Objects and exhibits depict life in a typical locality in Österlen from the Stone Age to the present day, with an emphasis on the period approximately 1750–1950. The exhibition area is around 150 square meters. The museum also has a large archive that is open for research. The archive consists of a number of unique documents, maps and thousands of photographs from associations, companies, private individuals and the former municipality of Kivik. New documents are still coming in to the archive, and the museum accepts new objects as space allows. The board of the museum has historical, archaeological and museum and archival scientific competence, which works with research, provenance and making available the museum's collections. The basic exhibitions have four themes: fishing and shipping, agriculture and crafts, preparedness and fire protection, and school.

(Translated by Google) Öradekaren is a "tub" in the middle of Verkeån for catching sea trout. The fish trap dates back to the 17th century and consists of eight stone-filled vessels/gates with small falls in between. The fish swim upstream and jump up through the eight vessels/gates. If you put in a plank, the trout hit it and fall off, and fall into a chute where they are easily picked up. The fishing facility was restored in 2010. Then a new furrow was also dug. The new fishway gave eels and trout free passage even at low tide.
