Babbacombe Model Village is a popular attraction in Torquay, offering visitors a chance to feel like giants as they explore 4 acres of miniature houses, vehicles, and people. Since 1963, this village has been showcasing over 400 models representing British life and culture from the past 50 years. The meticulously crafted exhibits include animated scenes and well-known landmarks such as Stonehenge and London's Shard.
This miniature model village is an absolute delight and incredibly well thought out. The one-way system is a brilliant touch — it guides you through the entire attraction seamlessly, so you never feel like you’ve missed a thing. What really sets this place apart is the level of detail in the displays. From tiny scenes to hilarious adult humour tucked into signs, logos, and shop names, there’s something to entertain everyone — not just the kids! You’ll find yourself chuckling at the clever wordplay as much as admiring the craftsmanship. The free crazy golf is a added bonus and perfect for keeping children entertained after exploring the village. There’s also a nice café and a picnic area on-site, giving you the option to relax and take your time. Expect to spend a good couple of hours here at a relaxed pace. Parking is easy with a car park just outside — you can pay via app or the on-site machines. Overall, a quirky, charming day out with fun for all ages. Highly recommended!

Having never been before, we saw a post on YouTube about this place. We thought it would be a good place to go to for a couple of hours. We went on a Friday when they had the night opening for the model illumination. Amazing! We walked around during the day so we were able to see the brilliant models in daylight. If you take the time to really look , you can see the details of every model. You also see the puns that are all around the park. Everything is lovely here, in the daylight and the inside displays are something else. Beautiful and ethereal. It's totally different during the night when all the models are illuminated by street lighting, car lights and lights in the model properties. Make sure you see the Tiny British Cake Off with the presenters old and new! There's a small mini golf to play for free as well. Café great choices, had the plant based pepperoni pizza, fabulous. Definitely worth visiting. We are going to be visiting again.

Such a jolly guy to welcome us at entrance/pay desk! Very helpful and friendly. He recommended we take our time to look in detail at everything as there are lots of 'play on words' signage giving plenty of laughs! Great that the ticket price allows free entry for a week from visit. I thought £20.50 was reasonable as we spent 2 n half hours and there's lots of interesting history and information about the costs and man hours involved in the creation and production/maintenance of the models. It is constantly evolving, we really enjoyed our visit !!

This was an amazing day out. So many tiny details and so many puns. Look out for where's wally and friends! The person who designed this place was a genius. The models are all beautifully made and the landscaping is amazing. It is in a valley so you will have to walk up and downhill, however, everything is laid with concrete and there are handrails as well. I went round it with a buggy and it was fine. There are indoor parts as well including mythical kingdoms and more detailed models. The crazy golf was fun as well and is included in the ticket price. There is a coffee shop with snacks and bathrooms at the top as well. There's also baby changing areas. I would recommend going during the day to see all of the tiny details. You can return within 7 days free with your ticket. We went the following night to see the illuminations which were beautiful. I will come again next year with my family ☺️ Thank you so much to the lovely staff who made our day as well!

We went mid week, it was not the summer holidays yet so was not busy at all which was nice! £20 for adult to enter which included mini golf, the mini golf was fun! You could definitely spend 2-3 hours here easily. A fun place to visit!
Ella S — Google review
Now this place was a surprise, I only thought I'd be here a couple of hours....... 4 hours later, so much to see and take in, the place was alot bigger than expected, I loved it...... Even played a round of mini golf 😂. It looks like you could get to do I night time visit on special occasions (would have loved to have done that, maybe next time I'm in the area 😁). Definitely a place to visit with or without the kids.
Robert C — Google review
This was such a pleasure to go to. It was bigger than we thought and really easy to find. The car park is small so recommend you get there early if you can or you can get the number 12 bus and it is a short walk from the bus stop. There was so much to see and some of the scenes were genius and well thought of some were also really hilarious 🤣 Make sure you check everywhere as there’s little scenes that are hidden too
Nikki R — Google review
Revisited after 55 years as my happy childhood memory of coming here had stayed with me. We were the only visitors for the first hour as it was raining very heavily, but this didn’t spoil our day at all. The sun came out for us to play crazy golf and there were indoor models too. We loved searching for the bugs, Where’s Wally characters and other hidden items as we’re big kids at heart. Also laughed out loud at some of the names. I have limited mobility but managed the site well. Staff are lovely, cafe was very nice. A really fabulous day out.

Kents Cavern Prehistoric Caves, located just over a mile from Torquay Harbour, offers an immersive experience for families with kids' activities, tours, and a large restaurant. The site is renowned for its impressive stalagmites and stalactites. Visitors can explore a woodland trail featuring information about dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals, as well as a Stone Age zone where they can uncover artifacts and learn survival skills from ancient times.
This was an amazing day out! We had Amelia as our tour guide and she was brilliant. So many punny jokes 🤣 she had so much knowledge about the caves and made learning about it fun. We will come again just to ask her more questions! Definitely a brilliant place to go especially when it's raining! The Woodland trail was not buggy friendly, so we weren't able to go around this unfortunately. It looked nice from where we were standing though.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly Recommended Experience! An absolute must-do if you’re in the area. The caves themselves are fascinating – steeped in history, atmosphere, and stories that stretch back millions of years. Walking in and around the site feels like stepping into another world. A very special shout-out to Mark, our guide. He was engaging, funny, and crystal clear in his delivery. More than that, he was interactive and knew exactly how to bring the history to life, making the experience immersive from start to finish. If you’re looking for something unique, memorable, and truly eye-opening, this is one of the best things to do. I couldn’t recommend it more highly!

Kent's Cavern - Fantastic geological marvel. Naturally formed over 500 million years. You cannot help but be in awe of this cavernous wonder. You have a fully guided tour who is informative and friendly and willing to answer all questions. I have seen they do special events in the caves as well, which seems a great idea. Such as Halloween/Christmas/Movie nights. Unfortunately... This attraction is not the longest and you could easily be in and out within the hour. Disability access isnt great but they do highlight this before you visit. I do feel soo much more could be done to enhance the experience and make you stay on site longer creating more of a day out of your experience. There is a woodland walk they have built but a lot more investment is needed to make it engaging. Money is tight these days, and i wouldn't even like to begin to imagine the amount insurance costs for something like this! and i hope it is protected forever going forwards... But to make money sometimes you need to spend money! and this is definitely one of those attractions.

Had a fantastic time in the caves today! We visited with our 3 children and arrived 5mins late due to having to walk from our accommodation and the gentleman on the desk was extremely helpful and moved us to the next tour which we truly appreciated. Our guide Alan was fabulous ; engaging, informative and knowledgeable. Really interesting tour which lasted about an hour but flew by as it was so enjoyable. The caves are well lit and it has good flooring - there was a granny in flip flops and socks on our tour and she managed fine! We had a cream tea after which were lovely and generous portions, the cafe staff were all very polite, friendly and helpful, we had a lovely time and would highly recommend thank you! X

Fantastic place to visit when in Torquay and well worth visiting if further away. Surprisingly large cave with excellent tour guides. I went in October so there were only 4 visitors so had a great experience with no crowds. Highly recommended!
Mark C — Google review
A real holiday highlight, these stunning caverns are shown in as natural a state as possible and are all the better for it. Enhanced by the top quality guides, the shows are inclusive and family friendly without glossing the less clean parts of history. Fascinating and a must visit while in the area
Hjikle — Google review
Kents Cavern is an incredible experience! The caves are perfectly lit and full of fascinating history. The guided tour is engaging and informative, bringing the past to life. It’s a great adventure for all ages, both educational and fun. Highly recommend visiting!

Absolutely fascinating experience at Kent's Cavern. Our tour guide, Emelia, was brilliant. Her knowledge of the caves, prehistoric history, and little details made the entire tour come to life. The caves themselves are stunning and incredibly well preserved. It’s amazing to think how much history is hidden underground. Everything was well organised, from the welcome at the front desk to the informative tour and café afterwards. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. Whether you’re into history, geology, or just looking for something unique to do, Kent’s Cavern is a must visit. Don’t miss it!

Cockington Country Park in Torquay is a charming estate featuring well-maintained gardens, expansive parkland, and lush woodlands. The 450-acre park encompasses three lovely lakes, a historic manor house with craft studios, and a picturesque village with thatched cottages and a quaint church. Visitors can explore the area on foot or by bike using the network of paths and bridleways.
Really lovely place for a few hours out. There are a couple of craft centres and studios where you can watch the makers at work, the glass blowing was amazing! Nice cafe and clean toilets. A lovely 600+ year old church, walks and lakes too! Down into the village is a lovely pub called the Drum in which is reasonably priced and dog friendly 🐶 We parked on the carpark opposite the pub and Cockington crafts and Country Park are a 5-10 minute walk away.
Ruth W — Google review
Lovely historical, picturesque village with cheap parking for the day. Free admission to everything. Beautiful grounds and gardens with working craft centre. Great for a family day out or a romantic stroll. Be prepared for the typical Devon narrow lanes to get to it though. That might put people off going, as it was blissfully quiet for us in the middle of August!
Ian S — Google review
It's definitely worth a visit. However, we went on a Monday, and certain things were not open on that day. Didn't spoil it and enjoyed the walks, the church, and the crafts. Treating ourselves to a lovely hand-made glass fish ornament at Our Glass, you can watch the skill of the artisan as he crafts the glass into his latest creation. Friendly and stops to chat. As do all the crafts folk open for business. We were lucky to catch a small bus, by The Drum pub-restaurant, that visits Cockington and drives into Torquay via local stops. Bus is air-conditioned too.

You'll need at least half a day to see and enjoy everything (if the weather is good). Would recommend the Chocolate shop, the cherry ones were particularly divine. Don't forget to visit Cob Barn where Allan will talk you through his art in his workshop. Hoping to buy a steel rose from him at some point. Also check out the Iron Mongers and surrounding shops, then purchase yourself a cute little handmade glass animal at the glass blowers for a bargain £8.
Huk S — Google review
Absolutely stunning little village which is full of historical charm! We enjoyed a delicious jam and cream scone and a wander through the woodland park. There are craft workshops offering items for sale set in the old barns.
Lynne H — Google review
What a gem! There’s plenty of parking in a few different locations around the park, so don’t despair if the first place you try has no spaces available! The parkland is gorgeous, so much space to roam free and play! There are places buy food and drink (pub, ice cream parlour and cafe), but also loads of space for picnics. The craft/shopping areas are lovely, really inviting spaces and everyone willing to chat about the work/products if you’re interested. Lots of history to read about too and a gorgeous garden to enjoy. The children’s play area is disappointing, you can see it was lovely once, but parts of it have unfortunately gone into disrepair.
Steph G — Google review
Stunning place for a walk. Loads of walkways and the ponds are great to sit and watch all the fish as the water was really clear. There is also a cafe, stalls and a stunning flower garden.
Shaun B — Google review
Visited this site with my son the here is a little gift shop in the village and we went and had a walk around the manor which itself is only really a cafe but there are also plenty of nice grounds to walk around and many unique traders in the craft/art traders around the back the gardens and ponds are also great to walk around we did see a sign for carriage rides but could not find them

Bygones is a captivating indoor museum that offers a nostalgic journey through Devon's history, featuring recreated Victorian street scenes and period rooms. Visitors can explore 15 small shops with costumed street sellers, as well as a model railway and a replica wartime trench. The museum also showcases a 27-ton steam engine and hosts child-friendly events such as the 'hunt the bears' game.
Been past loads of times finally went in. Wow.So much to look at,so interesting. Wonderfully set out exhibits. Well worth it.

Nostalgia for us oldies 🤣. While I don't remember the Victorian items, there's a lot in there that was still about in my very young days and it brings back memories of my grandparents and parents. A really enjoyable couple of hours. The Victorian street was very atmospheric. Cafe on site , not sure about toilets as I didn't look for them , sorry.
Warren H — Google review
I had a great time here with my mum and son. The displays are huge. They are so detailed and filled with memories. You could spend hours just looking at one display. They have arranged it in a clever way so that you can walk through the converted house easily. Not pram or wheelchair accessible unfortunately. I had my son in a front carrier. Also, there is a TRAIN in the middle of the building. I would have killed my husband if he had shown up at the house with a massive train, but this lady let him squeeze it in the house 🤣 Very nostalgic and a good walk around. We will be back next time we are in the area as I am sure that we missed some bits. Highly recommend a visit. Everything is inside, so it is great for the rainy days.

Wonderful step back in time, through the Victoria's streets even exploring a World War 1 trench. Definitely recommend adding this to your places to visit.

Great place the amount of stuff packed in is amazing. Items from years ago that bring back was great to see. Well worth visiting.
Wendy N — Google review
Great museum, I have visited a few times over the years and always find something new and interesting. Very well laid out and much bigger than it looks (I mean come on they have managed to fit a full steam engine in there) and that's a great story on its own let alone the literally hundreds if not thousands individual pieces of memorabilia and artefacts to look at. My personal favourite part is the Victoria era street as you go in complete with shops and cobble stones and the WW1 trench you can walk through.
Toby R — Google review
What a great little find! My dad had been before and said for us to go. Went on a rainy day. It has so much history in one place and the west ham memorabilia topped our visit. The owner was lovely. So knowledgeable! Lovely little cafe. Reasonably priced (cash own, just FYI) Will definitely return.

Torre Abbey, established in 1196, offers a fascinating journey through 800 years of history within its historic building and 7-acre gardens. The site showcases the life of a medieval monastery, its dissolution by Henry VIII, and its transformation into a museum and art gallery. The collection includes over 600 works from the 18th century to the present day, featuring pieces by renowned artists such as Holman Hunt and Burne-Jones.
Hidden gem in Torquay, I was looking up things to do near by our hotel (premier inn on the seafront) and this was basically right next door so decided to visit. Beautiful building with an interesting history and so many interesting art pieces and places to explore. Was pretty reasonably priced to get in, especially considering how much there was to explore. Giftshop was also lovely with some lovely handmade pieces and plants available to buy that they grew on site :)

Good place to spend a couple of hours. Enjoyed the history, the Abbey story , art exhibition and Georgian dining room. Take note of the gates as you enter with the swans on top , you'll learn about these inside. Cafe , toilets and lift on the premises so accessible to all. Oh and beautiful gardens to sit and relax in.
Warren H — Google review
It's a beautiful historic site with plenty to look at. Inside there are several floors with art, antiques and information galore. Outside in the gardens the scenery is stunning, the flowers were colourful and fragrant. I could happily spend the whole day exploring the site. There is lots to look at and explore.

Really lovely experience - the staff were friendly, the curation was interesting and innovative + had a genuine feeling of exploration (as it’s all a bit windy and topsy tervy). Liked the element of having actors on the top floor history section + the moving dinner table characters. Felt really thoughtful - A couple things were out of order but appreciated the space all the same - would definitely go back. Did try to strategically avoid the school group as a bit raucous but don’t begrudge kids learning aha

Hidden gem in Torquay — don’t miss it! Absolutely loved our visit to Torre Abbey! The whole place has such a unique mix of history, art, and odd charm. The poison garden was a total highlight — eerie, fascinating, and full of surprises. You don’t often see that in historic sites. We ended up spending way longer there than expected, reading all the signs and spotting deadly plants! The art gallery upstairs was another treat — a great mix of historic and contemporary pieces, all beautifully displayed. It feels like a proper cultural space, not just an afterthought. Friendly staff, peaceful atmosphere, and lots of quiet corners to explore. Highly recommend if you’re in Torquay and want something that’s not just beaches and fish & chips.

10% of for visitors staying at any of the TLH hotels. Each art piece was perfectly curated and looked stunning. The gardens were delightful even on a grey day. Staff were friendly and helpful. You are more than welcome to use the images. 🙂

Evocative abbey ruins, beautiful gardens, a 17th century mansion filled with art treasures - there was so much of interest to discover here, and it was only five minutes walk from my hotel! I spent about three and a half hours here, but could easily have stayed longer. The staff were friendly and welcoming, especially the young lady in the gift shop who greeted me and explained what there was to see and where to find it. I visited the abbey ruins first; they date from 1196, and have an impressive gateway with detailed stone carvings. There are info boards that let you know which part of the original medieval abbey you're standing in. I loved strolling around the gardens; their well-kept borders were filled with exotic plants and colourful dahlias, and there's a pergola and ample seating. There are a few uneven steps, but it's mostly smooth and level gravel paths. The giant cactuses are well worth a look, and children will love spotting the "wild animals" in the tropical palm house! The museum has four floors with quite a lot of rooms, but there are wheelchair ramps and a lift. Some fine paintings - I especially liked the landscapes - and sculptures displayed in spacious galleries. The exhibition of automatons was fun, and I enjoyed eavesdropping on the dinner conversation in the Regency dining room. But best of all was the 800 year timeline that tells the abbey's eventful story through printed info, artefacts, interactive displays, touchscreens, and dressing up in period clothes. The little café only appeared to be serving drinks and biscuits at the time I visited, but there were some picnic tables in the grounds, and also a nice gift shop. Torre Abbey is well worth a visit, and it's only a short walk from the seafront.

Torquay's Dinosaur World is an interactive indoor exhibition located in the Torquay Harbour district, just a short walk from Torre Abbey Beach. The exhibition features life-sized dinosaur replicas, fossils, and a craft room for kids to enjoy. It's a great option for a rainy day activity, offering plenty of photo opportunities alongside the scaled dinosaur models and various activities to keep youngsters engaged while learning about prehistoric creatures.
Stumbled across this great little place while we was visiting the town. Have a 9yr old daughter & 3yr old son. My daughter loved the activity sheet, there was two different sheets one was easy and one bit more challenging. My daughter really enjoyed going round and finding the answers and so did my husband. We have visited plenty of dinosaur attractions and this was one I would love to come back to again. The variety of dinosaurs and information was great to see. A lot of opportunities for the kids being able to sit/stand and have their pictures took with different dinosaurs and having the fun of shifting through sand to find bones/fossils. The little activity room was a really nice touch where they can look at books or colour. Great little place, and both the gents we spoke to today were very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

My son loves dinosaurs! We were on holiday with the family the last week of august and came across Dinosaur world! We couldn’t wait to visit.. We were welcomed by great, friendly staff and on entry were given a task sheet to fill in as we went around which made the visit really interesting! The place is fantastic for keen dinosaur fans… the model dinosaurs are amazing and life like! It makes you feel like you are totally submerged in Jurassic world! There is plenty to do, see and feel… my son loved stroking all the dinosaurs, and all the little light boxes that you look into and all the teeth you can touch! He loved digging around in the sand for fossils too… There is so much to do here for the very reasonable asking price… but definitely get the task sheet as it makes it very interesting… if you get the answers correct you get a sticker and certificate to prove you are a master dinosaur expert! Adults will love it to… we will defo return on our next visit! Thank you dinosaur world!
David G — Google review
Visited this place with my grandkids recently at a cost of £35.99 (two adults and two children). My grandchildren said they both liked it, so for that reason, all good. However, the tour itself took about an hour if you take your time and the dinosaurs are all plastic and mostly small toy like on front of photos and crafted landscapes, with the exception of a few larger ones. There are interactive areas where you can move sand from buried fossils and also a short paper quiz, for the children. In all, I'm not sure it's worth the cost and the plastic dinosaurs were a little disappointing, but the kids liked it, so not so bad.

We had a fantastic time at the Dinosaur world. So much so we came back in the same day! Lots of engaging exhibits, interactive displays, attention to detail, fab models that you can touch and feel. Plus the staff are really friendly and helpful. The shop is lovely and reasonably priced. Would come again!

More or less what could be expected - dinosaurs, and lots of them! The information available was light, with more focus given to plastic and fibreglass but ultimately realistic looking dinosaur models that complimented a few fossils. The museum was much more interactive than most though, with invitations to touch, sit on or stick your head into multiple exhibits - great for children and Instagram loving parents. The standard fossil hunting sandpits and an imaginative Jurassic Park diarama were also enjoyed. Perhaps not a place to visit repeatedly, but certainly happy we went. 1 star lost purely because of the price - while not too expensive, it was a lot for the size of the exhibition that took less than an hour to fully appreciate

Provided you understand what the attraction entails, I don't think you'll be disappointed. This is better than similar dinosaur attractions my family have visited along the coast. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and interacted well with my difficult children. We enjoyed the quiz sheets provided and the facts displayed throughout. The exhibits made it clear which dinosaurs you could touch /sit on, versus those you couldn't, which is a simple touch but enhanced the experience.

Small but lovely. Has Dinosaurs for kids to sit on, so it has a few photo opportunities. It also has mini digging sights for kids and a quiz for when you are walking around. Fun for all ages if you like Dinosaurs 🦕

We had a wonderful time here yesterday, thanks you for a lovely visit. The staff, owner (and doggie) were really friendly and gave us loads of interesting information, we had a lovely chat at the end of the experience. Our kids particularly enjoyed the excavation areas, & riding a lifesize Deinonychus! We recommend highly! This is our second year coming and we'll be back for sure.

Absolutely ace park. Several split up areas with all sorts of different climbing and sliding stuff. A sandy area also and a sluice gate setup for water play. The kids had a blast here and could have spent hours. The equipment looked in good shape and was a great mix

Took the grandchildren up here a d they both loved it. A good run around and not too many other people here. Free parking on nearby roads or a pleasant, if a bit steep, walk up from Youngs Park. Fantastic views out over the bay. What is not too like about this little gem.

Amazing views and very old trees along the top of the S W Coastal path. A tiered stepped or sloped walkway through planted garden areas that have benches to rest upon and view the wonderful coastline. The walkway leads down, if you choose that route, to Goodrington fishing pier that has beach huts along it and leads along to the beach areas and park.

Additionally, there are several eateries nearby where visitors can grab a bite to eat before or after enjoying the park.
Had a very fun time on the boats and saw some swans and had a lovely picnic on the beach lovely place

Totally spoiled due to council issuing a parking ticket for my bumper being a few inches over the line, they state motorhomes welcome, but it's not true. They are targeting them as its not possible to park even a small 6m vehicle without slightly overhanging on the length. Cars were also overhanging but did not penalty notices. This could be construed as entrapment. Best avoid if you have a slightly larger vehicle.

Well cared for park with easy access to the beach. There is a boating lake and a crazy golf course, plus places to eat, drink and get delicious ice-cream. Very popular.

Lots of green spaces. A duck pond with a duck food dispenser. Bumper boats for the kids. Also, a bouncy castle. Right on a dog friendly beach. A 2 minute walk to a Costa and ice cream shop. Plenty of parking too. A really lovely park to visit.

A good green space to exercise your dogs if the tide's in and the beach is inaccessible. Minimum parking charge at the adjacent carpark is £3.20 for two hours, a bit steep for a half hour walkies but there's usually plenty of space. Lots of poo bins around the area too.

A traditional and quite delightful park with children's and family amusements, access to the beach, food stalls, pubs, shops and so on. Although the steam train to Dartmouth runs close by, you can't get on here; you have to go to Paignton station for that delightful experience.

Great holiday park with amazing beaches. Lidl & Iceland 15 minutes drive. Lovely fish and chips at Squires 8 minutes drive (watch out for the speed camera). Site has great amenities and very well cared for. Staff are friendly and big thanks to the chap for doing the Nerf war today. (26/02/25) 👍👍

Site booked as we needed a variety of accommodation to suit our needs, we had 35 bikers all across park, it was clean, well maintained, nice staff, great caravan , welcome pack on arrival tea and coffee and little washing up liquid, cloth and tea towel. All linen and towels provided. Our van had a hot tub, it cleaned and checked regularly and in full working order. Only negatives, it was very hilly so anyone with mobility issues might struggle and the signage could have been better as drove around for 15 minutes trying to find our van. It was a great place to stay and if we are ever in Devon again and need a caravan this will be our go to location
Sharon J — Google review
Don't expect a lot from the accommodation. The caravans are compact and not worth the price, but clean. Shop has everything you need. Nice pool. When I booked I checked that my mom who is disabled could manage. They told me there were 3 or 4 steps but when we got here, there were 4 steps to get down to the caravan and then 4 steps up. So that's 8 steps which is tough for my mom, so there is limited understanding of accessibility.
Genevieve M — Google review
First time we have visited and stayed in M45. It has been a lovely few days away, great location with lots to do around the area and lovely caravan. However, rooms are small, I guess it would be okay for young children but adults not so good. Service at the reception was good, quick check in and not waiting around/queuing. Restaurant service was okay; only used it a few times! Unfortunately, a few families ruined it for us at the park so only used that briefly. Soft play was closed due to a private function which was a bit annoying so couldn’t use. Arcade is okay but not much in there. Outdoor swimming pool was lovely when the weather was nice with plenty of seating/loungers available. Parking was also perfect, right outside of our accommodation. Shop was handy, good opening hours and a great range of products at a reasonable prices. Enquired about using the laundrette but avoided as it was quite pricey! Site was lovely, clean and tidy - it’s clearly well maintained. Security man was very helpful with a few questions we had when reception was closed. A few other little things with the caravan but overall, it was great value for money and would return again.

I just wanna give a very special thank you to one of the ladies downstairs in the bar that had the pool table and the arcade it was a sunday and I wanted to watch the formula 1 Spanish grand prix and she went above and beyond to get it on for me which she did mange to get it cant fault the staff at all!

This is a great place for a quiet break but with lots to do on the doorstep. The site is kept in excellent condition and the facilities are suitable for all ages with great indoor and outdoor pools, air conditioned gym and playgrounds for the kids. The food and drinks are of a high quality. The site runs a dedicated bus service to and from Paignton bus station during the busier months. Many of the caravans and lodges are available with hot tubs which are definitely worth the additional cost.

The entertainment staff at the Starlight Bar are praised for their efforts to keep spirits high, despite the weather.
Easy to find. Staff very friendly and helpful. Booked the night before with no problems. Price great. Would recommend and use again.

Visited with our camper - Extremely well kept site, fantastic views of the bay from our pitch, great facilities, toilet and shower blocks were immaculate and finally a thankyou to Jerry for his help and assistance during our stay. Would not hesitate in recommending this site.

Stayed here in our own caravan while meeting up with family in theirs. Great site, very clean and tidy showers/toilet blocks. Entertainment was not up to much but ok. The food on site restaurant was good. The swimming pool was ok once you got in, felt a bit cold to start with.

Stayed a week in our motorhome. What a beautiful clean site with fantastic views and the showers were the best we have ever seen on a touring site. The staff were so lovely and friendly and the entertainment was spot on. Food was fantastic and good value for money. Would highly recommend this site. Thank you Beverley Park
Lennie K — Google review
Great stay. However, only 4 stars, as im bemused regarding the dog situation. In previous times, dogs were only allowed on Beverley Bay. This made sense as this is where the dog walking area is. However, they are now allowed to stay on Beverley Park, which doesn't have a dog walking area, meaning owners walk their dogs between caravans, letting them shit wherever they want. Some awful owners also forget to pick their dogs shit up, leaving trails across the park. That's the negative, the massive, huge, enormous positive is Debbie, the Manager in reception, what an absolutely fabulous person she is and thoroughly deserving of her role.
Mick — Google review
I can't recommend this holiday park enough! Myself,my husband and my 3 year old Grandson just spent a week on the touring pitch. The pitches are very spacious, the shower block/ toilets are modern and clean. The only minor gripe i had was that the sink tap water was constantly warm/ hot . There's no way to adjust them so you could brush your teeth with cold water . The view from the touring site is spectacular, the best I've ever seen at a holiday park / campsite. The facilities are fantastic, there's an outdoor and indoor pool. A jacuzzi and steam room. A children's ball pit/soft play area and arcades. The entertainment for the children was really good and there was a disco in the evening .The restaurant served really good food and there is also a fish and chip takeaway. Goodrington beach is about a 15 minute walk from the park and there's a 10 minute walk to bus stops that can take you into Torquay, Paignton,Brixham and Kingswear. We will definitely be booking to come back again next year 😊

We absolutely love Beverley Park. The location is stunning. We have stayed on a pitch with our camper van, hired caravans and this last stay we booked a Lodge with its own hot tub and could not fault any of the options. The park is kept in pristine order, the staff are friendly and efficient, there is an indoor and outdoor heated pool which is fantastic and the restaurant serves excellent food. There is also entertainment. I can’t wait to return as soon as possible!
Rita T — Google review
Not ideal for family holidays. Just returned from a weeks holiday and although the camp is very clean and well kept it’s incredibly small and basic. Not great if you’re looking for a more lively place to enjoy your holiday. Ideally after spending all the money you’d like to be able to spend a fair bit of time having lots of fun on site but we found we ran out of things to do rather quickly on this site. We didn’t get to enjoy any of the evening’s entertainment after an incident with one of the entertainers (Amy) speaking and looking at my son in an unacceptable manner. He has learning difficulties and I felt he was unwelcome by her this was the very first night of our holiday. Spoke to the lovely staff in reception the next morning they apologised and offered some discount for a future booking but unfortunately this didn’t change the uncomfortable atmosphere that had been created and we didn’t bother going to the evening entertainment all week as we felt very on edge. This was very disappointing as my son loves the kids entertainment and the grown ups enjoy the music and bingo etc. We personally won’t be returning as overall we didn’t find the site very good value for money. The prices for food and drink etc aren’t family friendly and the incredibly bad experience with a staff member we encountered on night one. Disappointed as we spent a lot of money on this holiday.

These gardens, originally planted on land reclaimed from the sea, offer a pleasant respite from the bustle of the town and the harbour, with lawns, flowerbeds designed in beautiful patterns, and splendid coastal views. I did miss the Mediterranean feel of the exotic palms that were flourishing here last time I visited several years ago, but I noticed that new young palms and other saplings have been planted to replace them. There's a big wheel, a war memorial, and an ornate Victorian fountain that has recently been restored. Ample seating. Conveniently close to cafes, refreshment kiosks, and the other seafront attractions. A nice place to relax with an ice-cream and watch the world go by.

A great place to visit, especially when you have little ones with you. There are the swan peddle boats or the bumper boats which my 2hr old chose. It cost about £7 for about 10-15 mins. We both enjoyed it, good value really and nice to have a laugh out on the water. He wanted to go again after!

me and my boyfriend were bored walking along Goodrington and we realise that there was some boats so we went on it as we’ve seen it a few times but today we would give it a chance and we had such a blast and only for £5 a boat is so good you get a good amount of time and was really a good time
Katie D — Google review
Nice little (emphasis on little) lake to go on the swans. The lady was very helpful & there was no time limit or rush. There isn’t a whole lot of room & we tended to just go round in circles as there wasn’t anywhere else to go which got a bit boring. A full family to have a go was £7. Definitely worth it if you have kids. Maybe there is a separate section that would be open on a different day.

Fabulous. Lovely walk with the dogs.

beautiful rich green thick woods with reddish soil ...reminded me off the devils pulpit in glasgow ....great area to coastal hike and lovely coved beach at the end of it all
Eamonn O — Google review
Good views. Not for the beginners walk lots of steep parts saw a bird of pray. Lots of good fresh air.
Debbie H — Google review
Lovely place to walk down, not so much the walk back. Probably about a 40% gradient hill on the way to the beach, not for the faint hearted but the reward makes it worth it as the cove is beautiful. Very shaded wooded walks which makes it even nicer in the summer with warm air coming off the coastline. Big car park at the top but no shade so maybe bring a screen shade.
Craig R — Google review
Great area for walking dogs, can be very muddy during wet winter months. Some areas are very steep.

Fantastic Jurassic Coast walk with what seems like an ancient primal woodland with cliffs and caves to explore. Feels a bit like going back in time to the Neolithic stone age.

Nature preserve
Occombe Valley Woods is a vast and beautiful nature reserve managed by the Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust. It's a fantastic spot for dog walking, with numerous paths to explore. The area is bursting with wildlife, making it an ideal place for both dogs and kids to roam around. However, visitors should be prepared for muddy conditions after rain, as the terrain can become quite slippery.
Lovely woods! Well hidden, and very quiet! Perfect place for walking a dog on a hot day as it's all under tree cover and there's a lovely little stream at the bottom
Rhiann H — Google review
Lovely hidden gem great for walks and soaking up nature. Many people there are walking their dogs. Note it is easy to get lost as it’s bigger than you think in these woods! Really wonderful quiet space with a babbling stream. During/after wet periods it can be extremely muddy with large puddles and occasionally fallen trees across the path. On a sunny day it’s truly glorious. There is a door to a fairy house in one of the trees. And a tree swing.
Holly H — Google review
It’s a fantastic place to get out and walk your dog, I’ve been there twice since moving to Paignton, and I kid you not I’ve got totally lost both times, it’s a huge area and there’s so many different paths to take. Sign posting for directions, are very far and few between, so a lot of incorrect guessing and wrong directions were taken, luckily for me, I met other walkers to set me in the right direction. The intent on taking my dog for a lovely walk through the woods, ended up being a literal hike, we were both very tired, but happy, when we finally found the car park. I wholeheartedly recommend taking your phone with you, for directions, if you’re unfamiliar with the area, just in case you manage like myself to wander off the path, unfortunately I had forgotten my phone on the first walk, the second walk it had fallen out of my bag in the car. I wasn’t worried about my dog getting too hot or thirsty as there are lovely streams for her to cool off in, however I was very thirsty and very hot, ( my own fault) It’s a really great place and so pretty.

Lovely walk with my dog. It was relatively flat and easy to walk. It was very muddy since it rained yesterday. Put on boots and definitely not baby pram and wheelchair friendly

The woods provide ample shade in the summer and feature gravel paths suitable for winter strolls. Dog walkers and families with energetic children will appreciate the well-marked trails leading to Occombe Farm or Cockington.
One of my favourite woods to walk. Enchanting in spring

Beautiful place to walk, great in summer as super shaded, does have a gravel path so good for winter too. There is a bike trail through it (so dog walkers just have to be extra cautious).

King's Gardens, located in Babbacombe and St Marychurch, offers stunning views across Lyme Bay from the delightful promenade and gardens of Babbacombe Downs. A short stroll away are Tessier Gardens, a peaceful and idyllic spot featuring a Sun Temple, scented garden, and fernery area. The gardens are adorned with fountains that change colors throughout the day and night, creating a tranquil atmosphere for visitors to enjoy.
Quet park, well groomed pond with ducks, bridge and nice smell from plants. It looks like the place for meditation even near two roads, or just for simple rest :)
Anna S — Google review
this is such a lovely place to just chill and sit with nature. There’s always so so many ducks swans everywhere it’s lovely when all the baby swans are there and everything they’re always walking about. It is so nice.
Katie D — Google review
Beautiful well kept peaceful gardens. Plenty of seating. I could listen to the water fall from the fountain all day long, so tranquil! Perfect for a quick stroll, lazy picnic or just to snap some photos of the gardens and wildlife.
Jon_the_explorer — Google review
Really beautiful and tranquil place. They have fountains with work all day and night the start to change colours. There's usually ducks and swans swimming around and every year around May they have little ducklings and cygnets following Their parents. Just so beautiful. The ponds themselves are surrounded by beautiful foliage which get especially pretty when they bloom. You can just peacefully sit down and relax after a long and hard day at work at really take in nature in all its glory. This place is also really close to the sea.

Gardens
The Royal Terrace Gardens (Rock Walk) is a park in Torquay, Devon, England. It contains a variety of rocks and plants from all over the world, as well as a small pond and waterfall. There are various paths around the garden that allow visitors to explore it at their leisure. The garden is open from 10:00am to 5:00pm from April to October, and from 10:00am to 4:00pm in November and December.
This beautiful garden and clifftop walk stretches for about half a mile along the seafront. I joined the pathway just behind the Princess Theatre, and climbed all the way to the top. The level lower path running parallel to the prom was lined with a profusion of palms, grasses, colourful flowering shrubs, and exotic plants. Look out for the grotto, with a fantastic little sculpture inside, about halfway along! The walk to the top was up a moderately steep path with easy steps (but lots of them!), and stout handrails. I didn't find it too challenging, and it was well worth the effort, because increasingly spectacular views of the harbour, Torre Abbey Sands, and the wonderful coastline of Torbay open up as you climb. The wildflowers are beautiful, and pines cling to the rock face. And it was so peaceful up here, way above the bustle of the prom! There are seats all the way up if you need to rest, and a viewing platform at the top. The Rock Walk is a lovely experience not to be missed!
Valerie H — Google review
Beautiful scenery. It starts from car park next to Premier Inn and ends behind the Arcade. Very short walk across but worth going up to see fantastic view of sea front. You can walk down the steps to main road and to promenade. We did one big loop back to car park.
Nirvana — Google review
Visited here (31/05/24) Truly amazing views from here. A long walk up the many steps but it was worth it. There are a few benches on the way up that you can stop and rest at. Make sure you take plenty of photos here. Great opportunity. Lots of colourful plants on the way up.
T.H. G — Google review
There is a lot of steps up and down but well worth the effort to get some spectacular views of Torquay beach, bay and harbour. Clean well maintained benches to sit down and take in the views
S — Google review
Lovely views across Torbay on a beautiful sunny day this really is a must if you haven't done it before. Me and the wife joined the walk on Sheddon Hill just above the foot bridge and walked as far as the Princess Theatre, this was as far as we could go as the workmen were cutting back the shrubs and plants so the rest of the path was closed.I believe it goes as far as Fleet Walk so we'll probably do that next time and I imagine it's a lot easier walking down than up! That said the views are stunning, give it a go.
Nev B — Google review
Great views over the harbour, lovely master bedroom and a spacious lounge diner. The only downside is the main bedroom, it has a bath with a shower head that has no shower screen or fixture for the shower so you have to hold it at all times. It's ok if you're an octopus and you don't mind the floor getting wet.
