During my recent travels through the enchanting Champagne region of France, I had the pleasure of visiting Champagne Jean-Philippe Bosser. Nestled in the picturesque village of Hautvillers, known for its historical significance as the resting place of Dom Perignon, this family-run champagne house offers a delightful experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it perfect for both adults and families alike. I was fortunate to visit during harvest time when the excitement in the air was palpable.
This was the first champagne house my husband and visited and it ended up being our favorite. Not only was the tour extremely informative, but we really loved the champagne. In fact, we recently returned again for another tasting and purchased numerous bottles to take home with us. The atmosphere is lovely and the prices are very reasonable. We highly recommend!

We were lucky to find parking across the street. The champagne house across the street was opening, a lovely lady gave us a warm good morning greeting. We couldn't resist visiting her establishment. The tasting was excellent and her warm demeanor continued throughout our visit. If you are looking for a personal experience, definitely visit this place.
Dennis G — Google review
The staff here are friendly and easy going. The little courtyard is charming with plenty of shade if you need it. There's a good variety of light lunches and deserts on the menu. The champagne is super! We went back twice. Thank you.
Clare M — Google review
By far the friendliest, tastiest and relaxed place to get a tasting, drink and/or a bite in Hautvillers. It looks like a shop but in the back there is a perfect little terrasse with fine champagne for an even more friendly price. If you stay in Hautvillers, I recommend this place! Btw, the picture was after closing time, but we could stay even then!
Karsten D — Google review
Lovely visit (choose their terrace for a tasting!) and nice place to taste the different champagnes which are great. Definitely worth to visit!
Esther G — Google review
We did a tasting. The owner is a very nice lady who could tell us a lot about making champagne. Very good champagne. Price/ quality is great. We ended up buying several bottles to bring home.
Evelien — Google review
This delightful champagne house provided us with an excellent tasting flight and some of the best champagnes we had during our stay in the Epernay/Reims area! In fact, I was so impressed that I chose the 2016 Millesime as one of the two bottles to take back to the US. The courtyard tasting area was delightful and the owner/winemaker made us feel welcome and comfortable. I highly recommend treating yourself to a tasting here!

Champagne G.Tribaut à Hautvillers is a renowned champagne house located in the heart of the Marne Valley, with strong ties to the legendary Benedictine monk Dom Perignon. Great champagne for a very reasonable price. The view is amazing. Definitely worth a visit! It was our third time already, because we love their champagne so much. Dorian was our host this time and he was great.
P. M — Google review
Absolutely, the views are lovely. The staff were nice and the champagne tasting good. I didn't find the experience as personal as the other champagne houses we visited. Regardless, it was nice to sip champagne overlooking the vineyards. They do have parking spots on site.
Dennis G — Google review
Such a beautiful place for a tasting. The tasting room over looks a vineyard and makes for nice pictures to capture the moment. They welcome you to come in for a tasting and make it easy. Choice of 3 champagnes for 15 euros. If you buy 6 or more bottles the tasting is free. They will ship worldwide too.
A.L. H — Google review
Very good and affordable Champagne. Tasting charge: €5 per tasting sample
S H — Google review
What a beautiful place to experience the wonders of Champagne country! Welcoming atmosphere with a very simple rules on tasting, purchasing and incredible tasting champagne. Prices are fair, service was impeccable and they are open regular times... I would not hesitate to go back the next time I am in the area.
S A — Google review
Great place for wine tasting with a beautiful view on the wineyards and city of Epernay!
Robin K — Google review
Had a very nice champagne tasting here. The host was very friendly and nice. She sat down with us and gave us great explanations. Despite being young, she was very knowledgeable and passionate and it was a joy to have her company. The wines themselves were very good and while sitting in the tasting room you have a beautiful view over the valley, even better than the views you will get at the royal champagne hotel. The only addition I personally would have liked would be some small food/snacks to pair with the wines, but I also did not ask for this.
Leon C — Google review
Visited in 2019 on a quick champagne tasting overnight from Brussels with my sister and mother in law. We visited 2 champagne houses and 1 tasting room and all 3 of us found our favorite of the get away here at G. Tribaut. Picturesque view of the fields, beautiful facility, we were served by one of the owners (3rd generation family run business) and chatted easily. If you are in the Champagne region and looking to do some tasting…stop looking…go here. Plan to stay a bit to order a glass or bottle of your favorite after your tasting and leave room in your luggage to take at least a bottle or two home. Bonus, they will ship to the US (1/2 case minimum). My husband surprised his mother and I with 2 & 4 bottles for Christmas 2021.

Caveau Champagne JM Gobillard et Fils offers an excellent welcome and a perfect contact for tasting, especially for novices. The location provides a delightful experience with kind and informative service, although the cave is rarely open for visits. Visitors can enjoy a well-run tasting and gain insights into the production process through an interesting video. While there may not be a view to enjoy, the champagne is described as fantastic at every level, offering good value and excellent quality.
Fantastic tasting, really knowledgeable and pleasant service! 100% recommend, really reasonably priced too!
Lucy R — Google review
Good champagne and for a fair price. If you don't speak french don't worry, most of the people working there speak English perfectly. The degustation costs 15 euros but since I bought some products after, they were so kind to offer it to me and even to my girlfriend who did not buy anything, well appreciated.
Oliviero B — Google review
Looks nice, but seems to be a very commercial company. At the local L’Eclerc supermarket the bottles are 6 euro cheaper than direct at the house.
Jurgen F — Google review
A nice location to enjoy a tasting. The video playing showing production is interesting. Here we did not experience the same level of friendly, informative service as we did at other champagne houses. Rather we were given the information sheet and left to our own devices.
Jason W — Google review
Magnificent service and great champagne!
Dacil H — Google review
TOURIST TRAP Honestly one of the worst experiences in the champagne region, which we visit once or twice a year for a long time. First of all, not a single note on the champagnes offered besides a folder that we had to take ourselves Secondly the first champagne offered was flat out dead, not a single bubble alive. Thirdly, when we (to our taste) didn’t like the second champagne (which can happen) we decided to cut our degustation short with only 2/3 coupes and we’re charged for the price of 4 single coupes rather than 2 tastings (a slight difference of €2, but it shows where the priorities lie) Will not come back nor recommend.
Pim F — Google review
Fantastic tasting and excellent staff!

The tasting is well run and is offered free if you buy three bottles. Note you dont get to choose the wines you taste nor is there a view to enjoy.

While strolling through Hautvillers, we stumbled upon Champagne Dagonet et Fils, a welcoming champagne house that offered us the chance to taste their exquisite bubbly for a mere 3,-. The owner kindly invited us on a guided tour, where he shared insightful details about the terroir and grape cultivation methods. We were enthralled by his explanations on champagne production and its unique qualities.
Great winery with delicious Champagne and a welcoming owner. Highly recommended to visit when exploring Hautvillers!

What's not to like. Lovely casual atmosphere 👌 Good host👍 and the Champagne 🍾 wasn't half bad either xxx

We were walking around in Hautvillers and saw this champagne house open. We walked in and got a very warm welcome. We could try a glass of champagne for only 3,-!! The owner invite us for the small tour which was already planned. He told us a lot about the terroir and the way of growing the grapes. The production of champagne and specifics. It was lovely! Thanks again for making our walk much nicer!
Rianne W — Google review
The Rose was disappointing, quite flat tasting. Apart from that, the other champagnes were great! Did not book, just turned up for a tasting and they were helpful even though they had another tour group to attend to. The tastings were also free!

Champagne was not our favourite, but that is not something I would write a bad review for, taste varies. The seller did not provide much info about their wines, we had to listen to her (angry) opinions on the current french politics during our 40 minute degustation. Would not recommend.

A friendly place to sample 4 different champagnes (good and reasonably priced). The tasting is free with a purchase of several bottles

It was so weird and ridiculous. We were four people and tried three glasses in total and the guy (who didn't explain anything) wanted us to pay 20 euro for that. One bottle cost 12. We were spending a weekend in the Champagne region in France. And one night we had a most wonderful dinner in a restaurant in Reims, with this to us, unknown Champagne. We were so charmed of the Cuvée that we decided we had to buy this so we could enjoy it again when we were home. Clement welcomed us, and let us taste all the available Champagnes. (Translated by Google) Some comments make me laugh. Know that the champagne is excellent, but victims of their success and unable to increase their production, they nevertheless reserve part of their production in order to serve their usual customers. We have been drinking Nicaise for 25 years. 25 years that we have always been so well received at their place, regardless of the quantity purchased. So it's probably not nice to hear that the house no longer takes new clients, but sorry, I've never seen anything haughty or pretentious in its people. (Original) Certains commentaires me font bien rire .
