Nature & Parks
Nestled at the northern tip of New Smyrna Beach peninsula, Smyrna Dunes Park is a breathtaking 73-acre haven that invites nature lovers to explore its diverse landscapes. With stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and Indian River, this park showcases an array of ecosystems, from sandy dunes to lush mangrove forests. Visitors can enjoy over two miles of accessible boardwalks that wind through scenic overlooks, perfect for capturing the beauty around them.
Amazing park! Stunning vibes, great water in and out of water for shelling. We got some great finds! Clear water, the sand bar was fairly big, great to walk out on. Dog friendly beach. There are bathrooms, small food truck and showers before walking on path.
Lor S — Google review
A beautiful way to spend a day outside and experience local Florida wildlife and nature. The entry cost is $10 per car and lasts the whole day, including reentry. Certain areas are dog friendly as well. The beach is absolutely beautiful, but beware it's definitely more of a natural beach and not the best for swimming. I enjoyed learning about local plants with signs located around the park. There are pavilions if you want to bring a picnic, as well as a fishing pier. You could truly spend the whole day here as there is much to explore. We can't wait to come back!
Fairooz H — Google review
Beautiful beach! The boardwalk has several access points, and the views at sunset are amazing. The beach is peaceful, with little “pool-like” areas that are perfect for kids to splash around. Lots of wildlife too… we saw butterflies, dragonflies, birds, and even tortoises. A great spot to relax and take it all in.
Gordana D — Google review
The place is simply stunning! A must see if you enjoy walks on a number of boardwalks or dipping your toes in the water on a warm and sunny day. You’ll see surfers and an abundance of wildlife that thrives here. The sunrise is gorgeous and so peaceful. In the afternoon, take a break and enjoy a bag lunch at one of the several picnic pavilions that’s available here. Dogs are welcome on the dog beach. Restrooms are also available.
Roberta S — Google review
Found this place while driving around new Smyrna Beach while family was in town We explored the whole boardwalk from start to finish taking time to walk on the beach and go seashell hunting I will say that this boardwalk or path was extremely well thought out you can see the wildlife in their natural habitat on our most recent visit, we saw several different types of birds, but also a few different turtles. It’s cool to see their home and how they naturally act in their own environment. Also, really great place to take photos
Alyssa H — Google review
Very nice park with great wildlife watching and expansive views in all directions. It’s rare to see this much open land right next to the beach on Florida’s east coast. It’s an easy walk and very peaceful!
Myles L — Google review
UPDATE: We visited this place again and loved it just as much as we did the first time. I've added new photos. PREVIOUS REVIEW: We loved it here! It’s so nice that there’s a boardwalk through the protected habitat to be able to view it all from a safe distance. We even spotted 3 tortoises on our walk. I highly recommend visiting here if you’re in the area!

Very cool place to take a walk. Boardwalk is 1 3/8 mile long with a number of places to get down to beach

Just finished the Coronado Beach Flagler Avenue walking tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. So pleased to hear of the interesting history and especially the personal anecdotes along the way which were so informative. Thank you Mark! Very well done and perfect length too.

My Grandson and I are Locals. This Museum was a delightful surprise. The way it is laid out and the way they present artifacts and information is beautiful. We learned a great deal there. The Guides were very informative in answering our questions. We'd encourage any visitors to go and visit it, but really encourage Locals that haven't been there to go. It's a wonderful Museum. Enjoyed every minute of it.

Very interesting place for those who love learning about history and how lifestyles were created. Very enjoyable to read about how the area was built and created by certain people and where workers came from. Tickets only $8.00. Recommend if in the area.

Was more than I expected. The staff of volunteers were so friendly and knowledgeable. Had no idea of the rich history of NSB. A must. My 8 yr old son enjoyed it as well.

I'm a native of Orlando and have been coming to this beach my whole life. This is the first time I have visited the museum. It was very informative and I enjoyed it very much. The people who volunteer there are super nice!

This is a small history museum about New Smyrna Beach. It is free. Employees are cheerful and friendly. They have numerous old photographs of people that contributed to the early development of the area. They have old artifacts that were found from early settlers. They have a few short video presentations too. They have small wooden, handmade model ships with tiny hand painted little people that accompany the ships. They have some old clothing from early settlers too. Then they have a newer room with surfing equipment and history. Visiting this museum is a pleasant way to spend some time.

The Marine Discovery Center, situated in New Smyrna Beach on Barracuda Boulevard, offers a unique hands-on experience with the area's diverse animals and habitats. It serves as a combination of a zoo, aquarium, and museum, showcasing thousands of local plant and animal species from rivers, sea, and marshlands.
We have attended several homeschool field trip events and cannot say enough about them! Even though we studied marine sciences all year, me and the kids still learned something new. The tour guide was well informed and terrific with the kids. She lead experiments and explorations and hands on activities. We found many marine species and sighted dolphins and manatees along the way. I would recommend over and over again.

My bf and I did a kayak tour on Thursday with Ted as our guide and Ken and another volunteer whose name I can’t remember, and we had the best morning!! We saw dolphins, starfish, osprey, pelicans, hermit crabs, herons and more! Ted was so knowledgeable about all of the wildlife and plants in the area and also so funny! And the volunteers were also so fun and helpful! I would definitely recommend this kayak tour, especially with this crew!
Lianne Z — Google review
We did their dolphin boat tour and it was amazing and a great value! Our guide was so knowledgeable and we saw probably at least 30 dolphins throughout the duration of the 2 hour tour (even a baby!) as well as manatees from afar and lots of other wildlife. Would highly recommend.
Olivia D — Google review
An Unforgettable Experience for All Ages! We had the most incredible time at the Marine Discovery Center in New Smyrna Beach! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by passionate and knowledgeable staff who were eager to share their love for Florida's marine ecosystems. The exhibits are fantastic – interactive, educational, and so well-maintained. We loved getting to see the variety of local sea life up close in the aquariums and touch tanks. It was a huge hit with both the kids and the adults in our group. The absolute highlight of our visit was the guided boat tour of the Indian River Lagoon. Our guide was phenomenal, pointing out dolphins, manatees, and countless species of birds. It was breathtaking to see these animals in their natural habitat, and we learned so much about the importance of conservation efforts in the area. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and spend a few hours here. It's a wonderful organization doing important work, and it provides an experience that is both fun and deeply educational. We left with a greater appreciation for Florida's beautiful coastline. We can't recommend it enough!
Orlando J — Google review
I am so pleasantly surprised!! We enjoyed the sunset tour. We brought a cooler, and my 6 year old and fiancé and my self loved it!! Connie was our captain and Lisa was our guide. They were phenomenal hosts. We saw dolphins, manatees, hundreds of birds! We fell in love with FL because of this trip!!! The next time we are in town we will go again.

A very educational experience! We visited while on vaca and we had a cloudy/rainy day. Learning about their non profit mission & how they help was great. Their learning classroom was great for my 2 year old

The Dolphin Boat tour is amazing ! The cruise on the Indian River is a full sensory experience, and family friendly. The information is educational, & fascinating… highly recommend. Our Captain (Connie) and tour guide (Lisa) were professional and committed to providing a top notch 2-hour adventure.

We took a friend who was visiting from out of town because she loves art. She loved every second and spent time in every booth. There is something for everyone, no two booths are the same. Proud of our downtown area!

I was brand new to glass fusing when I joined LC and Tommy Tobey’s class, and I couldn’t have asked for better teachers. They are both incredibly encouraging, patient, and gentle in their approach, while still giving clear, practical instruction that makes you feel confident to try something new. Their enthusiasm for fusing is contagious, and they create a welcoming environment where beginners feel supported and inspired. By the end of class, I not only learned a lot but also had a great time. I highly recommend their classes to anyone curious about fusing—you’ll walk away with new skills and a big smile.
Kathleen W — Google review
This place is very cool! I had never been here before and found it very interesting. I liked how the artists had their own studios and could display their work as well. There was quite a variety of artwork to see and purchase. I loved the building as well with the exposed brick and painted stairs.
Sherry R — Google review
Don’t miss this gem! We stumbled across this beautiful gallery while walking the historic district. So many great artists displaying their art. I wanted to buy so many pieces. Sculptures, wood working, oil, watercolor, pencil canvas’s they had it all even some comical art. The people are so nice and we even got to see some art in progress. Highly recommend this lovely place 🎨
Karrie K — Google review
The Organization and Individual Artist space(s) has made me admire the significance we have in the Diversity of arts; from sculpture, poetry, or visual.
Krystal M — Google review
The Hub is great! There are many vibrant exhibits here from many artists with stellar talent. TmThey have a wide variety of media: paintings, sculptures, Glasswork, and guitars. There are usually artists working there in the gallery studios. They have classes and other special events, too.
Matthew V — Google review
Awesome multi-studio location filled with the talent from local artists. You have to stop in if you love art! They also hold classes for youth and up at certain times.
C. D — Google review
This place is a gem if you are interested in local artists and talent. Paintings, sculptures, photographs, recycled/found art, pottery, and jewelry adorn the rooms and walls of this beautiful gallery. We spent about 45 minutes perusing before lunch and we enjoyed it immensely. I've been taking my children to museums and art galleries since they were little so hearing my daughters (18 and 14) and my 16 year old son discuss which paintings they admired or which sculpture was their favorite brought a smile to my face. The guitar exhibit was especially enthralling to my husband and son, as was the exhibit of drawings of famous rock stars/legends. The kids each purchased a card with a reprint of a favorite painting to remember their first trip to New Smyrna Beach. Thank you so much!

Notable street
Flagler Avenue in New Smyrna Beach is a historical promenade by the sea that offers a vibrant and eclectic experience. Lined with restaurants, boutiques, and art galleries, it's the heart of the city's cultural scene. The avenue exudes an inviting warmth and charm, attracting both visitors and locals with its colorful array of shops and eateries. It's a hub for local artistry and festive gatherings, making every stroll along this picturesque street a memorable adventure.
It's a clean, great atmosphere . Family friendly. Lots of restaurants around. Parking in the beach or outside . They also have a ramp for wheelchair ♿️
Margarita R — Google review
Flagler Avenue was very interesting. We went on Saturday and didn't get there until 12:30. Big mistake. We found a parking place on the street by the skin of our teeth. We had been to the pay lots, as were waves of others, with no luck. I use a rollator now with long walks and the sidewalk was a huge chore. Very cool sidewalk. Bricks with names. Lots of bar/restaurants. If I had been spending the weekend, it would've made for a great bar crawl. It was packed up and down the street and barely any room left on the beach. Had a great clean handicap bathroom beside the beach parking. If you're younger like most were and have money, great fun. If you're older like we are, I fully recommend going on a weekday.
Net B — Google review
Flagler Avenue is such a fun spot! Lots of great restaurants, cute shops, and a relaxed beach-town vibe. You can grab a coffee, browse the boutiques, enjoy a nice meal, and end the day with a walk to the beach. It’s the kind of place you can visit again and again and always find something new.

The Cruger-dePeyster Plantation Sugar Mill Ruins offer a fascinating glimpse into the past, allowing visitors to witness historical structures that have endured through time. While finding the site may be a bit challenging due to its inconspicuous signage, the experience of exploring the sugar mill's history on-site is truly rewarding. The location also features a quaint walking trail that provides an authentic taste of old Florida.
Small, very interesting site with picnic tables and locked bathroom. There is a short very nicely shaded nature trail leading through the woods behind the ruins
Wendy W — Google review
I really like this historic oddity. The history is explained and preserved well. The main entrance needs more conspicuous signage. The transition from the road to the lot needs grading but everything else is good. The garbage cans were full and litter has a potential to creep in.
Tom B — Google review
No cost to visit. Very small area takes no time to walk around and read plaques. 15 minutes. Quiet with walking trails.
Brian W — Google review
Neat area with a bit of history and plenty of spots to picnic or relax.
Benjamin H — Google review
These ruins were neat too see, off the beaten path a bit. Almost missed the road to get into see them, But well kept. Was interesting to learn about what it was, n used for. The ruins have chains around them. But you can see everything, walk around n get close too them. There is a hiking trail, kinda off to the side of the ruins to explore a little. I went a little later in the day towards the Evening, they have a small gravel parking area. Its free to see. I also saw a big Owl flying around n hanging out in the trees around the ruins. That was really cool. Nice interesting place to stop n explore.
Ratchet B — Google review
Free. A bit of bugs while we visited prepare accordingly. We were the only ones there so we really enjoyed taking our time. Not a lot to see but a treasure to be present. A short little walk through the woods with trees labeled for viewing. Check it out!

Distillery
Sugar Works Distillery, LLC in New Smyrna Beach offers a unique experience for spirits enthusiasts. The distillery uses raw sugar cane to create its rums, paying homage to the area's historical industry. In addition to rum, they also offer Callalisa Creek Whiskey and New Smyrna Shine. Visitors can take a tour of the small family-owned distillery and enjoy tastings of their high-quality liquors.
Not quite food but in the same ballpark. Sugar Works Distillery is making some fine adult refreshments all in one location here. Every step of the process is done here, that way they can make sure of the quality. We stopped by to get a small bottle of their Blueberry and Cherry Shine and sampled a Simply Blue and a Get Stoned which each used one of those shines in each drink. Very good and very smooth. We'll definitely be back in the future for some of their other products. They're wonderful folks to deal with and very helpful with questions and as you see we even got a bit of a tour!

Love this place. Everyone is super friendly and the atmosphere is great - Live music - great spirits that you can taste before you buy a drink or a bottle. I picked up a bottle of the Single Barrel Straight Bourbon. Nice and smooth. Tasted a sample of the tequila - it was great ! Highly recommend you drop in if you haven’t already!
Craig K — Google review
We stopped in to maybe pick up a bottle of spirits. It was a really tough decision. The Wheated Bourbon was my favorite. We left with the Sharkbite. It was the first time my wife ever said “I really like this” to a bourbon. We got there early evening on a Tuesday. Brandy greeted us at the bar. She was a huge help. Every spirit we tried was exceptional. Wish we lived closer so we could try their mixed drinks. Nice cozy place I would strongly suggest you visit. Theirs is a great story offering a quality product and great people.

This is the best bar I’ve ever been to. Tyler is a great bartender- so easy going, energetic, friendly, and passionate about his art. I really enjoyed our time together. The menu is incredible, but Tyler can make anything you want- you just give him a little bit of information about what you like or are looking for and he will make sure you get the perfect cocktail in your hand. He made me a spicy jalapeño and pineapple margarita- it was actually spicy how I like it! Also every ingredient is made from scratch and the owners grow a lot of the ingredients themselves. It really adds value and makes you appreciate the love that goes into making each drink. I can’t wait to return next time I’m in the area.
Elaine L — Google review
My husband and I came here for the first time for a date night and had a fantastic experience! We are locals so I’m ashamed it’s taken so long for us to provide our business, I wanted to make sure I gave them some love! The service was spectacular, they had live entertainment that was pure talent and the drinks were fantastic! The popcorn machine was a very nice touch, I am a big fan 😆 thanks for taking good care of us!
Ashley F — Google review
This place is phenomenal! Great products. A seasonal cocktail menu that is both creative and delicious. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, down to earth and friendly. Wish I lived closer so I could go often. If I lived in New Smyrna Beach, they would definitely know me.
Melanie H — Google review
We loved it! The drinks were great, live music and the bartenders were the best! You can trust them to make you something great they are very talented. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the drinks.
Greg T — Google review
Had to find a local whisky for an upcoming podcast guest appearance of release of new book “Surgical approach to meat cutting” I recently wrote over the past two years. Our pairing expert Tyler was extremely knowledgeable and helpful of the product distributed by Sugar Works distillery. The hospitality was very welcoming with the tastings and explanation of each spirit distributed by the distillery. We tried everything under the spectrum of what this small quaint location has to offer for alcoholic beverages. I definitely recommend the cinnamon shark bite whisky but we went with the Callalisa Black label whisky for a pairing with red meat, ultimately skirt steak. The Callalisa whisky blue or black label is absolutely fantastic and will not only make staple in Volusia county but hopefully nationwide. Thanks again Tyler!

Nestled at the southern tip of Daytona Beach in Volusia County, the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse & Museum stands as a stunning testament to maritime history. Constructed in the 1880s from over a million bricks, this historic lighthouse reaches an impressive height of 175 feet, making it Florida's tallest and one of the tallest lighthouses in the United States.
What a great visit even on an extremely hot August day. We walked up the lighthouse and the views were gorgeous. Lots of buildings to visit and see how the lightkeepers families lived. We enjoyed the beacon museum too and don't skip the short video about the site, very interesting and I recommend visiting that first!

Do you enjoy spending a sweltering hot Sunday morning trudging up hundreds of stairs and hauling your sweaty body to the top and around the edge of a railing hundreds of feet in the air in order to take in the oxygen your lungs burn for, the breeze your dripping face yearns for, and the views that make every single step worth it? Well, this is it! This is your place! We met an employee named Todd who truly went the extra mile to make our trip memorable. He was personable and knowledgeable, both making him a valuable asset to the destination. When we completed our journey to the top and around the museum(s), we were gifted a certificate boasting our accomplishment. A sweet touch that will serve as a reminder of the time we climbed the tallest lighthouse in Florida and the 2nd tallest in the US!
Nicole L — Google review
Absolutely loved it here!! The ladies working were absolutely wonderful and helpful!! Got a little lighthouse and a cute bag!! We went and saw all the buildings, even climbed the lighthouse! It was beautiful. Very well taken care of. The gentlemen at the other building; the hotel. He was very kind and helpful as well! We didn't have to wait for a group to tour or anything too. Just get your tickets/wrist band and head on in!

Free parking just steps away from the gift shop where you can purchase your tickets. Admission to the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse is $6.95 for adults (age 12+), $1.95 for children (ages 3-11), and free for infants (ages 0-2). Note: It was one of the hottest/most humid days of the summer so drink up before you get there and dress appropriately. Went right to the beach after to cool off ;) but it is a lovely way to start your day. Our docent took us to the lighthouse, allowed us to climb the 209+ stairs (she didn’t go with us and I don’t blame her), beautiful breeze and a wonderful view.Take the time to take a few videos and photos. However, Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse & Museum offers much more than a climb—it’s a blend of coastal drama, architectural history, and educational exhibits. Whether climbing to the top for sweeping views or exploring the restored Fresnel lens displays, visitors consistently find it worth the visit, whether or not they’re lighthouse buffs. Friendly staff, well-kept facilities, and budget‑friendly pricing all add to the appeal. What a lovely part of Saturday. Thank you

Worth the Climb! Climbing to the top of the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse was tough but so rewarding. The views of the ocean and waterways stretching out forever were breathtaking, and the breeze at the top felt incredible. Inside, the museum’s old lighthouse lenses were fascinating, and the Pacetti Hotel Museum gave us a glimpse of the area’s history. It’s a great mix of adventure and learning, and my teens loved it too.

This place is a solid 12/10. came here twice within the same week with my friends and family and the service and food was outstanding at both times. Siding near the dock and seeing boats come in and out is such a great time. rarely do you find a place with a good view AND good food. This is a new favorite. We come here every week now!!! 10/10 recommend.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at Outriggers. The atmosphere is outstanding - we sat outside (there is also indoor seating) and enjoyed watching the boats go by. The live entertainment was just right and made the evening perfect. The restaurant is also pet friendly and several customers had their dogs with them. Our server was helpful and friendly. We had Lobster and Shrimp Tortellini and Shrimp and Grits with Andouille sausage. We had their fresh made Key Lime Pie for dessert. Everything was delicious!

I ordered the Outriggers style blackened mahi sandwich. The fish was extremely fresh and delicate... right amount of spice ..the sauce and pickled cabbage went ideal and the brioche bread was fresh and toasted & buttered <3 Also service was 5 star, coming back!

Located just steps from the beach, The Breakers Ocean Front Restaurant & Bar is a cozy and casual eatery known for its American menu featuring juicy burgers, seafood, and a variety of beer options. This pink beach shack offers fantastic views of the Atlantic and is a favorite among locals. Whether you're in the mood for a simple beach burger or an overflowing NSB burger, there are seventeen delicious options to choose from.
This is the perfect place to go for lunch after spending the morning on the beach. Let's be honest you go for the location and convenience, not the food itself. The service was fast and friendly and the restaurant was super busy. The views are AMAZING and they keep the windows open so you have the fresh ocean breeze blowing through the whole place. This was the perfect spot to end our day and head home with full bellies. I recommend you stop in for some grub after a day in the sun!

Burgers and Booze with an Ocean View! The Breakers Restaurant on Flagler Avenue in New Smyrna Beach—an iconic spot in an area that’s been around since the early 1900s. Located right on the sand with ocean waves rolling in, it’s a favorite for both locals and visitors. They’re famous for their burgers (and for good reason—one of the best in Central Florida!) and the vibe is pure beach shack meets dive bar. Most folks are in swimwear, shorts, and flip-flops, which makes it feel laid-back and classic Florida. If you’re looking for a cold beer and a great meal with unbeatable ocean views, this is the spot. Service is always fantastic—friendly, quick, and everything running smoothly for such a busy place. Always one of our go-to places when we’re in NSB!

Having a beach day in NSB and stopped at this little hole in the wall 😂 male bartender was awesome. Wasn’t able to get his name but he was attentive and made amazing rum runners (a must try) HH had $1 off. Place has beach views right from the bar. Great location and friendly staff.
Raymond ( — Google review
We had wings, fries, fried clam, and corn nuggets. EVERYTHING was delicious and the price was great for 2 people. Casual vibe but crowded at 7p on a Thursday (to be expected). Parking is tight and you may have to park across the street or down the street. This is a hotspot right on the beach so no complaints there.. plus we were able to park in the restaurants actual lot. There was a young guy helping in the lot which I thought was a great idea. We will definitely be returning but will go between 8-9 as opposed to 7p.. crowd seems to die down a bit. Beach, parking, picnic tables, hotels, restaurants, convenience stores and other shoppes all in one area. Much more lively than the boardwalk in Daytona imo. Overall 10/10.

Enjoyable beach front restaurant with tasty food. Ordered a fried white fish sandwich that was cooked to perfection. Their breakfast rum runner was a refreshing dinner drink. My step mom had a taco salad with grilled chicken - and ate the entire thing. Our server was very sweet and ensured we were taken care of without feeling rushed. Will be back. :)

Nothing crazy, but a solid menu for some good bites and drinks literally right by the beach. The views so nice if you’re able to get a window table. Saved this spot for future NSB trips!

It's right on the beach. But I think that was the best part. To me, more of a place to go drinking beers with a group of friends... the food was just ok.

Review for Third Wave If you’re looking for a fantastic outdoor dining experience in a tropical setting, Third Wave is the place to be! The atmosphere is absolutely stunning, with lush greenery and a relaxed, breezy vibe that makes you feel like you’re on vacation. We ordered the Greek salad, mushroom pizza, and Brussels sprouts, and everything was delicious. The salad was fresh and flavorful, the pizza had the perfect balance of crispy crust and savory toppings, and the Brussels sprouts were cooked to perfection. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and quick without feeling rushed. This place had some of the best potatoes I’ve ever tasted, they were delicious! They were perfectly seasoned with onions, peppers, & corn. The steak was slightly over cooked than I prefer but I still enjoyed it. I enjoyed everything here so much I visited twice while in the area. The second time I tried the shrimp & grits, also delicious! The coffee here is great as well! Don’t hesitate to visit if you are in the area.

What a great spot! We were visiting NSB for a few days and a waiter from another restaurant recommended Third Wave and after our meal we could see why. I decided on the Sammy sandwich with tomato basil soup. Ok that sandwich was mind blowingly delicious. For real it was just perfect. The soup was amazing as well. My husband got the Steak and eggs and devoured it all. Very tasty. Third Wave is currently undergoing some construction so it doesn’t look open but it is! Super pretty patio. Definitely don’t miss this spot!

Excellent dining in NSB! This is our favorite "special dining" restaurant in New Smyrna Beach. We were celebrating a birthday and enjoyed the seafood ambrosia and scallops over very tasty risotto. Their fish dip is excellent, with freshness that most places don't match! When I got home I saw someone had posted about their French onion soup...will be back to try soon! Ty Third Wave for the high standards in culinary offerings!
Anita E — Google review
We are repeat customers here. The food is always good no matter what I order. On this most recent visit, we had the apple bruschetta appetizer, which was heavenly. For dinner, I ordered their fresh fish special, Blackened Red Snapper over shrimp and grits with chorizo. The heat was just right, spicy but not overpowering. Delicious! My husband had venison tenderloin, which was another special for the night. My daughter had Creste de Gallo, a pasta dish with seafood and a light olive oil lemon sauce. The menu changes frequently, so there is always something new to try. This is one of my favorite New Smyrna restaurants. Note: This place (along with most restaurants in New Smyrna) does not take reservations. There is usually a longer wait on weekends. We were seated right away on a Thursday evening on a cold January night, but this is not the norm. It was a full house and we were lucky. The food is worth the wait.

Parked right at the edge of the beach, parking was rather expensive at $20 for the day but it is what it is. The sand was exquisite a very fine grain. The beach was very clean and managed. We were able to place our umbrella close enough to the parking but also close enough to the car traffic on the beach. Again well-managed by the parking group, the lifeguards, the beach patrol. Felt very safe. Plan on going again.

Flagler beach was absolutely beautiful. We had to pay to park but I think it is free after 5pm. The beach was very clean, plenty of sun and fun. There are several eating places by the beach so no worries on food. Make sure to bring your chair and umbrella and enjoy the day.

I LOVE New Smyrna It is so quaint. The beach is awesome, flat sand (Cars ride on the beach so be careful) There are sooo many little shops and restaurants and bars when you are striding towards the beach We happened to go because there was a jazz festival going on. PROBLEM with the festival was most of the groups were inside certain restaurants/ bars Very few just playing in the open like a "regular" festival. BUT, we went to LUMA'S it is an outdoor coffee shop with tables and swings. I loved this little gem The young baristas were awesome. Since those who follow me know my husband is a Coffee connoisseur (and we've been known to go to many, many coffee shops known in Volusia County) I am a Coffee Teeterler and I still have trouble figuring out what coffee I like to taste Anyway, we had a great time and if you're local (Daytona, Ormond) especially a tourist, This is a MUST on your list to travel to Photos are awesome

This brewery is absolutely amazing! We especially love spending time here thanks to Rachel, Brent, and Jeff, who are fantastic bartenders. And the beer? It's hands down the best you'll find in Florida! To anyone questioning this establishment's respect for veterans, ignore them. I'm Retired Army, and I visit this place frequently sometimes two or three times a week. My experience has always been one of outstanding service and genuine respect. Don’t listen to the haters. Also buy Brent biscuits.
Sean M — Google review
We visited on a busy Thursday during a festival, and even with the crowds, the service was just great. I counted only four people covering the entire brewery, yet within a minute of sitting down someone was already at the table. And unlike many breweries where you have to go to the bar for everything, here they come to you. And they seem to have a sixth sense for checking in with you so you never run dry. The space itself is beautiful. The bar paneling and built-in seating backs have really cool barrel barrel staves. We the Bait Pod Black IPA (8.4%), which was excellent! Roasted malt, peppery rye, balanced hop bitterness, full texture, and a refined bitter finish. We also ordered their pretzel with beer cheese. It was fresh, soft, and huge. Great beer, great energy, incredible service, and a beautiful space. Highly recommend this brewery.

Interesting to see the recent reviews that match my experience. We were there for the Fleet Feet demo run so we arrived a little early. We noticed that they didn’t serve food but allowed you to bring in outside food. We brought pizza from Panhead ( 2 blocks ) which we enjoyed with some cider and a flight of tasters. Our server ( Rachel ? ) knew how to sign Thank you which I appreciated. The male manager chatted with us for a bit. The beers itself, I would say they have a good variety to choose from. I enjoyed two out of four tasters. It would be nice if they expand their menu to include other Florida craft beers for comparison. And more cider options, not just one.
Mark M — Google review
This hometown brewery is absolutely the best! It's always friendly and welcoming. The beer and company are great! Twining Tuesday with Rachel and Brent is always a blast. They even make growlers to go or pick up on the way to an event.

New Smyrna Beach Brewing exceeded my expectations. Rachel and the staff provided outstanding service, guiding me through their impressive beer selection with expertise and enthusiasm. The cozy ambiance and delicious brews made for a memorable visit. Highly recommended! Old Fort Park, located at 115 Julia Street in New Smyrna, is a coastal nature site with ancient fort ruins that hold an air of mystery. The park features walking paths, benches, and majestic oak trees overlooking the tranquil waterfront. The coquina foundation's origins remain uncertain, with speculations linking it to Andrew Turnbull's mansion. This historic area hosts the annual Art Fiesta and houses the Turnbull Ruins, dating back to the 18th century.
Mysterious origins to this fort located adjacent to a marina and NSB waterways. Really nice park setting, very close to downtown.

No one really knew its real actual history. It really doesn't look like something an Anglo would have built for a hotel.

A wonderful, close up look into some of the earliest known history of the state of Florida. You can walk right up to, and down into the base of the “fort” and wonder for yourself what it used to be. If you consider yourself a spiritual person, I will say, there’s a “vibe” you get walking these grounds and you feel like you’re really “in it”. Enjoy.

I like the park , it brings back memories of being a kid and going to the movie theater on Canal St. It's alot nicer than when I was younger. There's 2 plaques with some of N.S.B. history on them, many benches to sit on. You can bring your dog but they must be on a leash and you have to clean up after them.

Nice little spot overlooking a big body of water. Also overlooking the marina here in New Smyrna Beach, FL. Great place to take pictures and to have a peaceful stroll with the family. Never crowded and the NSB police station/municipal complex is about 50ft directly across the street, so going here at night with the family is safe. Very pretty place I arrived right at their opening and decided to walk around the natural areas, it's very beautiful and clean. Walking around the complex you'll begin to notice the majority of it is closed off to visitors, they have a nice deck trial but you can only walk along half of it before you're deterred by signs saying artists only. Which makes sense as this was made for the artists. The visitors center was somehow warmer inside than out, and I didn't see a single person inside. It was just a big room with portraits and the places history. It's a very pretty getaway if you're in the nsb area.

Quiet launch, great for beginners. I would recommend wearing watershoes for launching and if you cannot carry your kayak or paddleboard on your own bring something to help. The launch is a bit of a walk from the parking lot. Nice bathroom and changing areas as well as nicely paved walking trails although they are short. Dolphins greeted us at the launch when we arrived, we also saw a ton of fish and birds while paddling the mosquito lagoon paddle trail (marked with signs).

Gives Fairy hut vibes that I adore. The staff was very friendly! Such a nice date idea, a bit pricey but WELL WORTH IT! Food was fairly quick especially given how busy it was. No complaints! Me and my Husband Loved it and would definitely be going again sometime!

Another restaurant that I've been wanting to try for years. After tonight's visit, I'm really disappointed in myself for not going sooner! We had a fantastic time celebrating my mother's birthday at this New Smyrna gem. The Garlic does not take reservations, which can be good and bad at the same time. Luckily, we were seated immediately at a great table that's called "the Celebration table." (Couldn't have been more perfect for us). Our waiter, Jimmy, was fantastic. He did a great job making our first visit memorable. He started us off with warm bread and a large oven-roasted garlic which he made in front of us by smashing the garlic and mixing it with crushed black pepper, virgin olive oil and 12 year aged balsamic vinaigrette. The white sangria was very watered down due to tons of ice, not enough fruit, and tasted virgin. Would definitely not order again. However, all of our entrees were amazing. They each came with a houses salad, so Jimmy brought it out family style in one large bowl to share. The salad was fresh and went well with the olive oil and vinaigrette. I ordered the "Seafood Cannelloni" which contained an array of scallops, shrimp, and mahi mahi wrapped in fresh pasta baked with a newburg sauce. It was absolutely amazing! My mother ordered the "Pollo Marsala" which was sautéed chicken with shallots and mushrooms in a classic marsala wine sauce served with garlic mashed potatoes. She enjoyed it but it wasn't as amazing as my dish. My wife ordered the "Shrimp And Scallop Scampi" which obviously cones with sea scallops and shrimp sauteed in a light white wine and garlic herb butter sauce served over linguini. She said it was really good. We capped off our amazing dinner with the chocolate chip cannoli's. The Garlic is a really cool spot that has unique ambiance, non-traditional Italian dinning, with amazing food and service. It's easily become one of my favorite restaurants in Florida!

1st time visiting. Will definitely take the 3 1/2 hour drive to eat here again. (We did spend the night in the area as planned) Food freshly made. You can smell the garlic from the road. And I love garlic. When you plan a mini vacation to eat at a restaurant it has to be good.

Visited NSB for a few days and made sure to stop at The Garlic. We are so glad we did! Fantastic atmosphere. Fun and funky design inside and out. They had a talented musician playing. We really enjoyed that. Our server Bobby was wonderful. He knew his stuff and even gave us a list of must try restaurants in the area. Now about their food. The food was top notch! They start you off with amazing bread and a whole head of garlic with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We started with a Cesar Salad and it was delicious. My husband got the Bocce Ball meatball and he raved about it. It was very flavorful and gigantic! I had the Ravioli Bolognese. The raviolis were delicious and the sauce was SO good! Great flavor. Slightly sweet with a little bit of spice. We ended our meal with Espresso Martinis. They were A+. Also the whole meal was very affordable. We were shocked at how inexpensive it was. So don’t miss this spot!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dining at The Garlic in New Smyrna Beach was an unforgettable experience from start to finish! 🌿✨ The atmosphere was warm, rustic, and full of charm — the perfect setting for an exceptional meal. We started with mussels al forno and flash-fried calamari in a vibrant herb marinara, followed by a family-style Caesar salad that was fresh and flavorful. Our entrées — from the bacon-wrapped filet mignon and chicken Alfredo to the lamb lollipops with sambuca-mint jelly and seafood cannoli al forno — were all cooked to absolute perfection. 🍷🍝🥩 A special shoutout to Eric, our waiter, who provided impeccable service all evening! He was attentive without ever being intrusive — clearing the table promptly, refilling our glasses with perfect timing, and ensuring every detail was taken care of. 👏🍷 Highly recommend The Garlic to anyone seeking an elevated dining experience filled with exquisite flavors, beautiful ambiance, and top-tier service. 🌟 #TheGarlic #NewSmyrnaBeach #FiveStarDining #ExceptionalService #GourmetExperience #FoodieFavorites #EliteHairDesign

This is our go to restaurant in New Smyrna. Drove 9 1/2 hours and went straight there for dinner and it did not disappoint! Our wait was only 15 minutes and we tried some new to us items. As always the roasted garlic spread and bread was amazing, the Eggplant tower and shrimp and scallops pasta were cooked to perfection! Zack our server was awesome too! We'll be back in the spring!

Located in the historic downtown area of New Smyrna Beach, Corkscrew Bar and Grille offers a warm and inviting atmosphere within an 80-year-old red brick building. The restaurant features a modern urban-style interior design surrounded by beautiful tropical foliage, creating a relaxed and atmospheric environment. Guests can choose to dine on the outdoor patio, in the cozy dining room, or at the stylish bar area. The menu is chef-driven with unique upscale American cuisine that includes updated Southern comfort classics.
Lovely place with a nice tropical vibe, and was hopping on a Wednesday night! Great service by Tristan and the food was delicious. I had the curry chicken stuffed avocado which was just the right portion and something different. Not too much curry as to overpower-- just right. My only suggestion would be to take the avocado out of the skin, much easier to eat, very easy to do. Hubby got the corkscrew pasta with Cajun seasonings and he absolutely loved it. It included chicken, mushrooms, and tomatoes. I tasted it and almost wished I got it, that's how good it was. $5 margarita was a $5 margarita (iykyk). Nice lovely atmosphere and we would definitely come back. They even have parking.

Visited last weekend with some friends and had a good time! The atmosphere was fun both inside and out, and there really isn’t a bad seat in the house. We started with the goat cheese appetizer and the buffalo shrimp. My friends couldn’t stop raving about the shrimp, calling it the best they’ve ever had. For mains, my husband went with the Adult Tenders and the Teriyaki Filet Skewers, while I ordered the Veggie Patch Pasta with blackened chicken added. The dish was tasty, though the $8 upcharge for chicken felt a bit steep. Overall, it’s a fun spot worth checking out. While we enjoyed the experience, we likely won't be returning. Felt a bit overpriced for what it was.

Had dinner with friends, company was great, atmosphere was fun, our servicer was johnny-on-the-spot and food was excellent! I had the prime rib french dip, “excellent”, one friend had a salad, she said it was delicious and the other had a hamburger. We all went away pleased!

Fun place to go to, neat decor with beautiful outside seating! The food was good, the French dip was outstanding, the chicken curry stuffed Avacado was outstanding and the presentation was beautiful, mom’s buttermilk chicken sandwich was outstanding, the dbl smashed veggie burger with cheese grits was outstanding too. The outing would have been a 5 except the fries were like warm. The highlight was definitely Lynsey who made the experience very enjoyable and a reason to return.

This was a fun place to have dinner downtown New Smyrna Beach. The decor makes you feel like you're outside, with palm trees and umbrellas, although they do have outdoor seating, as well. The menu is unique with items such as shrimp and gouda grits with spicy sausage and okra, prime rib French dip, smothered chicken with mashed potatoes and a mahi sandwich. Their burger selections sounded tasty, too, although we didn't try one. Their homemade sweet potato chips were thin and delicious. Prices were quite reasonable for the quality of the food, and the service was attentive. The restaurant is a bit loud inside, but since we were there after 8 pm, it got quieter as time went on. Overall, it was a good experience, and we would eat there again when in town.

This place has become my favourite spot to dine at when we vacation in NSB. We started with the Buffalo fried shrimp-you can’t go wrong. My Swamp pasta (chicken, shrimp and andouille sausage) delicious and paired well with my bottle of Landshark! My wife had the chicken and goat cheese. I was quite impressed with her dish. The service was fantastic. Chloe had been busy with a bunch of women doing separate cheques. Jonathan ( I believe was the manager) came by to check on us. Great to see a manager who works with their staff. Chloe apologized for not being able to help us out. No apology needed, you were great! We dined at some other restaurants and received poor service and run around excuses from managers. Glad to see people caring about their service to their guests!

If I could've given more than 5 stars I would have! Best restaurant in New Smyrna Beach!! Great selection of menu items for all type of eaters to enjoy. My cousin and I shared the Fried Calamari and had we known it would be the BEST calamari that we ever had, we would've each gotten an order! We each ordered the Wedge and it was so fresh and chilled. Not to be forgotten, there was our server, Tyler! She was exceptional!! Very personable and knowledgeable about the food. We never felt ignored or forgotten by her...she was spot on by refilling our drinks, removing dishes and asking if we were okay. She is definitely an asset to Cork Screw. I had to return to Orlando but my Cousin met her Siblings there on Friday. All enjoyed their time and especially the Calamari! I can't wait to come back.

The local history museum, Mary S. Harrell Black Heritage Museum, is dedicated to African-American culture, racial relations in the 20th century, and community involvement. The director, Ann (who happens to be the founder's sister-in-law), was a delightful person to meet. This museum proudly showcases displays that have been contributed by the community itself, with many artifacts coming directly from their ancestors' homes.
I absolutely love this visit. Ann the director and sister in law to the founder Mary S Harrell was a delight to meet. This is a community museum entirely, as the community has contributed most of its displays right out of the homes of their ancestors. So much history, love, education in the two buildings. A must visit it will make you proud to have been there.

Ann was the volunteer who showed us around and she was so knowledgeable and generous with her knowledge and time. Norwood's Restaurant & Treehouse Bar is a nostalgic seafood spot with a vintage vibe and an extensive wine selection. The restaurant has a rich history, starting as a Pan Am gas station and general store in 1929 before transforming into the beloved eatery it is today. Guests can dine in a whimsical treehouse adorned with twinkling lights or opt for seating on the second-story patio nestled among trees.

We had reservations and were greeted with friendly, welcoming faces as soon as we arrived. Since we were waiting for our friends, we asked if we could wait at the bar — the staff was great, and the drinks were delicious! The ambiance was relaxing and had such a nice vibe. Once our party arrived, we were seated in the outdoor garden area, which was beautiful, especially with the perfect weather. Our waitress, Lex, was amazing! She was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were excellent, and every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and high quality. From start to finish, everything about our dining experience was fantastic and worth every penny. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable dining experience at Norwood’s! If you’re anywhere near New Smyrna Beach, Norwood’s Restaurant & Treehouse is an absolute must. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere feels like a hidden getaway—lush greenery, warm lighting, and that magical treehouse vibe that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a tropical escape. The food is just as incredible as the atmosphere. Every dish is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Whether you’re enjoying perfectly cooked seafood, a juicy steak, or one of their creative seasonal specialties, you can taste the care that goes into every plate. The cocktails are a highlight all on their own—crafted with fresh ingredients and served with style. Enjoying one high up in the treehouse bar is an experience you’ll want to repeat again and again. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which makes the entire visit feel relaxed and special. It’s the kind of place where you can go for a romantic evening, a family celebration, or just to unwind with good friends and great food. Norwood’s captures everything that makes New Smyrna Beach unique: charm, flavor, and a touch of magic. I can’t recommend it enough!

Great atmosphere, drink and service. The food though, could be better. The scallops wrapped in bacon were okay, the bacon needed to be crispier but was saved by the pasta/seaweed salad it came with. The coconut shrimp were just friend shrimp, didn't get any coconut. The dish got was the chicken gorgonzola, the flavors were great but I needed to borrow a steak knife to cut the chicken it was overcooked. The almond crusted grouper was also overcooked and very dry. The gorgonzola ribeye was served to two people and they were completely different sizes/pieces of meat. These were cooked closer to the ask but we're still overdone. The environment is fun, the drinks are good and they have good bourbon options but not the best place for food.
Jaclyn D — Google review
We came on a Tuesday evening around 6:30 with a group of six, and it wasn’t crowded at that time. Since it had rained earlier in the day, we stayed inside instead of sitting in the treehouse section. The outdoor seating is really the highlight here, tucked up in the trees and giving the place its name. The food was enjoyable, and next time I’ll plan for a clear-weather day to try the treehouse seating!

The Marine Science Center in New Smyrna Beach is a fascinating aquarium and marine museum that offers a unique opportunity to observe and learn about endangered and threatened animals. The center features exhibits, display tanks, and a rehabilitation area for injured marine life.
Such a cute, inexpensive activity to do for all ages. During our visit here today, we fed stingrays, listened to a talk about their resident pine snake with a chance to pet him at the end of the talk, walked through the raptor bird exhibit, and spent some time learning about the turtles currently staying in the turtle hospital. The staff really care about the animals they care for. A fun and low-key way to spend an afternoon!

The Marine Science is a delightful little gem at an affordable price. They have some great sea life you get to experience and you can touch and sometimes feed Stingrays. Seeing the sea turtle in there stages of rehab is also awesome. My kids loved the raptor section so the aviary component was a pleasant surprise. This is only a few hour trip in my opinion my kids lost interest after a few hours but it was still a great w.

Inspiring and educational! The Marine Science Center is a gem for families. We loved feeding the stingrays, but what stood out most was seeing the sea turtle rehab area and knowing real conservation work is happening here. Meeting a rescued owl and hearing its story made the visit even more meaningful. This is the kind of stop that sparks conversations and stays with you.

Lynn E — Google review
It was a delight to visit. This is definitely a neat place for children. The touch pool had stingrays. We loved the aviary and learning about the different birds. The attendant was very knowledgeable about each rescued bird and species. Eagles, hawk, and falcon are just some that have been rescued. We went specifically to see the turtles in rehab. We would have loved to get a behind the scenes tour for them, but that wasn't offered. We watched the turtle tech give them their medicines. It was fun to see that and use the computer available to see each of their stories. It wasn't too busy, we got there early as soon as they opened on a Saturday. We kinda hogged the computer and read about each turtle. They were so beautiful, and you could definitely see the difference from the first picture of them and how they looked now. We spent just under two hours and could have stayed longer. Inexpensive, a learning opportunity and fun.

Very knowledgeable staff and volunteers. We felt like we got a really good bang for our buck. Our older kids enjoyed being able to touch and feed the stingrays. One thing I would hope they could add in the future is being able to see the sea turtles up close. We would definitely stop in here again on our next visit to Daytona Beach.

The Little Theatre NSB is a charming venue in New Smyrna Beach that has been entertaining audiences since 1947. It showcases live comedies, musicals, and dramas performed by local thespians and also offers acting classes. Despite the challenges of COVID-19, the theater remains operational with reduced seating capacity and enhanced safety measures. The location is convenient with ample parking nearby, and visitors have praised its modern facilities and efficient services.
What a lovely little theatre! We drive over from Ormond by the Sea for plays and music here. Tonight we saw The little shop of horrors and it exceeded our exceeded our ecoactations. Beautiful decor, lighting, actors and the sound was excellent! We could follow everything being said and we were in the back. The staff was very friendly, drinks and snacks available, but do bring cash for those. Well worth the drive and we will be back for a matinee with dinner after.

The Little Theatre NSB has been a landmark in New Smyrna Beach for as long as I can remember. Over the years they have made strides in use of space as well as updating their technology. It is still very much an intimate venue. There is very little parking adjacent to the venue; however, they have a moderate parking lot within walking distance of the theatre. If you want to park close, plan ahead and arrive early. The Little Theatre NSB is primarily a volunteer driven organization. Please keep this in mind when interacting with the staff, actors, ushers as well as the other guests.

The Little Theater in New Smyrna Beach is a beautifully maintained small theater. During COVID-19 the theater is still operational but with lower seating capacity. Every other row was left open with additional space between groups. We did will-call which was quick and efficient. The location is convenient on Rt 1A1 with available parking next door. The theater is completely modern and everything was perfect. Restrooms were even superior. We saw a fun show. Top notch, like a small off-Broadway show.

The Bob Ross Art Workshop and Studio, located in New Smyrna Beach since 1993, is a haven for fans of the iconic artist. The studio proudly displays many original oil paintings from his famous series "The Joy of Painting." Visitors can also find works by Steven Ross and Annette Kowalski. The workshop offers classes where participants can immerse themselves in the techniques that made Bob Ross a household name.
Copious amount of pictures from various seasons. Clean and inviting. If your into his brand of paint you can purchase jars/tubes of various sizes. Paraphernalia, such as t-shirts & mugs to purchase. There was 1 painting were the picture look liked wood, but it was painted as part of the picture.

What a fabulous gem. I grew up watching Bob Ross when I was younger so this was a fan girl moment. We were allowed to walk in as a class was in session but woah was I blown away by the students work and the museum. Had we more time in Florida we would have taken a class based on being able to view the class in session. They have a mini store with shirts, art supplies, magnets.

Bob Ross is my hero! All anyone wants to know is your goals and aspirations and the only thing I could ever come up with is "to be happy" I'm HAPPY to announce my new goal is to become a (CRI) Certified Ross Instructor. 2/9/19 This gallery has 53 original Ross paintings and 2 by his son, Steven. It also has several floral paintings by his longtime business partner, Annette Kowalski. At this workshop, they offer oil painting classes featuring Bob Ross's unique style on more than 300 PBS stations, reasonably priced and with all supplies included. Oh! They also have on show Bob Ross’s easel and you can see where he “slapped the devil” out of his paintbrush.

Dennis F — Google review
I have been meaning to write a review about the Bob Ross art gallery and workshop since the day I went. Before I went, I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews and saw that their lowest rating was four stars. In all of the reviews, there was never even the first single-word about the facility. between that fact, and my love for Bob Ross art, I booked myself into one of their classes. There are no words to describe what a magical experience that day was. I am absolutely terrible when it comes to creative painting. I can paint the house, I can paint a wall, but asked me to paint something abstract and creative, and I'm going to fail. At least, that's what I thought, until I took the Bob Ross class. Bob Ross was more than just a painter, he represents a type of peace that is apparently contagious, and that was evidenced upon walking through the doors of the gallery. The two people that were running it we're above and beyond super nice, and exuded happiness. That quickly rubbed off on to all of us taking the class. From the first brush strokes of phthalo blue that created my sky and water, complete down to the very last happy little tree that I painted, it was all together a wonderful experience. Such a good experience, in fact, that I booked myself into three more classes before I even left that day; and have gotten at least seven other friends of mine interested and wanting to join me at some classes. The $50 price tag includes the instruction, the canvas (which can be bought separately for $10, so let's start doing the math of what a great deal this is), use of all painting tools required, all the paints that were required for that particular picture (and if you ran out of any color, they were more than happy to provide you with more), and the phenomenal instruction from the teacher. My overall experience and recommendation is that if you are planning a trip to or near New Smyrna Beach, call ahead and see if they have a class available. It's worth the time and money in every sense.

The Sunday brunch has been described as phenomenal with its diverse array of dishes and impeccable taste.
Beautiful atmosphere, we decided to sit outdoors, the weather was perfect. Excellent service and food were delicious. I liked the Clam Chowder, filled with lots of ingredients. Bula Burger was an interesting choice, pineapple on a burger, fabulous, but messy, so big. Catch of the day was a nice piece of fish, cooked to perfection, really good fries. There was no room for dessert. Highly recommended

Lost Lagoon is a great place to eat! I have had brunch here a couple of times (which is amazing), but this was my first time for dinner. This is my friend's favorite place for a cheese steak sandwich, and I had the coconut shrimp with onion petals and fries. The shrimp were the perfect size and very crispy, and the onion petals and fries were so good.

First time visit and mostly great. 😉. We started with the loaded nachos that looked great and tasted even better. Sorry I forgot to take a picture. We both had burgers and my Philly was awesome. Rated great with perfect fries. Jess ordered black and blue (medium rare) and it came out well done. We usually never send back but we did and our server Janelle was super sweet about it. The burger came back and it was still a bit overcooked. Big burgers and definitely hand made. They were really busy and noisy but a cool spot. The other entrees look good so we will likely try again.

Ordered the French dip. It was ok at best. The bread was warm & soft, cheese perfectly cooked BUT, the sliced roast beef lost me. It was DRY and tasteless. I really liked their cheese grits.

There is wheelchair accessibility in the front. The staff is genuinely friendly and very accommodating. The food is 5 stars. Such a cool spot for locals and those vacationing. Lagoon Sliders and Cajun Steak Bites are the best!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great burgers in a fun atmosphere served up by kind, helpful servers - and make sure to try the Sunday Brunch Buffet! Our group of 5 stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon in April 2024. There was a short wait as it was during peak hours, just after 12:00pm. We were seated pretty quickly at a great spot out back in the outdoor porch area. My wife and daughter opted for the Brunch Buffet and my other daughter and I got a burger and fish sandwich. We were all happy with our choices and will definitely return!

Flagler Tavern, located at 414 Flagler Avenue in New Smyrna Beach, is a charming establishment housed in a historic 1920s building. The warm and inviting decor reflects the period it was built in, making it a popular spot for families, beach enthusiasts, and music lovers. Whether you're looking for surf 'n' turf or premium cocktails, this tavern has something for everyone.
My husband and I enjoyed eating lunch here after a morning at the beach. We sat on the roof and there was a nice view of the ocean from our table. The portions were very filling, especially the pasta. They have an extensive menu with multiple choices in each category, so you'll definitely find something you like. Service was also excellent. Would highly recommend!

Nice lively spot in NSB. Great outdoor deck to people watch. the smashburger was two thin burger patties but definitely NOT a smashburger. Ya gotta grill it a certain way. Underwhelming and dry. Just read their menu description. It was nothing like that 😅 Smash Burger $16.00 Tavern’s signature Smash Burger is pressed or “smashed” onto a hot griddle to create a crispy crust and a juicy center, served with savory caramelized onions and our Tavern Smash Sauce. Beer selection is OK nothing spectacular. Sweet potato fries were good.

Stopped here for lunch. Haven't been here in 20 years. Still a great place to sit on the front deck for lunch and people watch. Your sure to find something tasty to eat. The service was the best. Melissa, our waitress, even made a cocktail not on the drink menu for me.

Went for a quick lunch before heading back to Orlando and the airport home. We shared taquitos and the fried shrimp basket was yummy. They even fry them up after removing the tails. Recommend for anyone hungry on the beachside.

We ordered our food and one hour later the waitress blamed it on a large party, but when we talk to the manager, she said there was no large party. The food was terrible. My oysters for the tiniest ever. My drink tasted like perfume. My friends food was so dry. We will not be back!

So me and the hubby went to Flagler Tavern in new Smyrna Beach tonight for dinner and drinks and to listen to some great music Our server was Mya she was very attentive and friendly, answered a couple of questions that we had on the menu our food came out hot fresh and fast !! Mya also came back to our table multiple times to check on us and sure if we need anything The manager on duty, Kayla also stopped by our table just to make sure everything was going great… As it was, we enjoyed listening to the live music and the drinks were out of this world. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a great evening

This place has been an institution on Flagler Ave for as long as I have been visiting New Smyrna Beach, finally gave it a try last night - first the good: the service was quick and friendly. Now the rest: the drinks were weak and seemed premixed. The music was overly loud and uncomfortable the food was bland and also seems some of it was precooked. The prices also seemed a bit much. Glad I finally stopped here, now I’ll never have to go back.

Lighthouse Point Park, located at the southern end of Peninsula Drive across from New Smyrna Beach, is a popular destination for beachgoers, naturalists, and fishing enthusiasts. The park offers an unobstructed beach with a boardwalk winding through sand dunes leading to the teal blue waters. Visitors can also stroll along the jetties for scenic views. Additionally, the park is dog-friendly and provides clear views of the Ponce de Leon Lighthouse.
This is a great destination for enjoying a natural beach and coastal environment that also has a huge jetty. Swimming, hiking, sunbathing and fishing are popular activities here. Meandering boardwalks with picnic pavilions are sprinkled amidst the maritime dune environment. Bathroom and rinsing showers are also available. This location is also a walkable distance from the lighthouse museum.

This park is in a fantastic location with plenty of open space, making it perfect for a relaxing day outdoors. There is an entry fee—slightly discounted if you pay with cash—which is good to keep in mind before arriving. The park is well-equipped with clean restrooms and outdoor showers, which are especially convenient for rinsing off after time on the beach. What really made the visit special were the natural sights. While I was there, I was lucky enough to spot dolphins and manatees in the water—a truly beautiful and unexpected bonus that added to the experience. It’s a peaceful place where you can really connect with nature. Throughout the park, there are numerous grills and picnic tables, great for barbecues, family outings, or casual meals with friends. Whether you’re there to swim, cook, relax, or simply enjoy the views, the park has everything you need for a perfect day. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

We took our pups here last weekend and had a blast with them! The beach was clean! Loved that they had dog watering stations set up along the walking path! My only complaints are the parking was a nightmare! They were allowing people to pay to enter way beyond when they should have been. There were no parking spots in the parking lot which meant everyone else entering had to park along the road ways. Although it wasn’t a huge deal, it did make traffic get backed up as people were loading/unloading their cars, everyone was walking in the roadways due to cars being parked in the grass areas along the sides of the road. Also, they did not have any portable restrooms available near the beach and depending on how crowded it is, that could mean a longer walk to the restrooms. If you want to make sure you’re able to park in the parking lot next to the bathrooms, get there early!

It was a nice change to go to a Mexican restaurant at the beach. Food was prepared fresh and delicious. They were more than willing to accommodate my husband by changing out the sauce on his burrito. Stopped in while shopping in New Smyrna. Big mistake. It was the worst food I've ever had in my life. I don't know what happened to Clancy's. It used to be the best. But this food wasn't even edible and the service, not one smile. The bartender was rude like asking for chips and salsa was a problem. I will never go back to Clancy's. I suggest you save your money!! It used to be the best. And now it is not even edible. The fries a joggy mess. The salsa frozen cold, the chips stale, the Margarita was like syrup, the grouper fingers had no fish all batter, the beef taco was another soggy joke. Save your money and time, do not go in there!! They really need to do some soul searching on what business they are in because it's no longer Mexican food!!

Since its establishment in 1976 by a French couple, the bakery has been an authentic purveyor of French cuisine. For anytime well over the last 30 years you have, maybe, made this a regular stop when you come over to the beach. It's one of the iconic food stops in New Smyrna. Who can oppose a pastry chef from France coming into this little beachside community in Florida, setting up shop, and consistently turning out some of the freshest, high-quality pastries and subs you could get? Some of you will come here as a reward at the end of a hot day at the beach, covered in sand. Others will stop here on the way to the beach to get one of the homemade subs with their special dressing, Dijon mustard along with meat, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes to take down to the beach. Either way you can't lose. The place is a landmark at this time and not without cause. New Smyrna is better off for having them here and would be worse off if they ever weren't. You may owe it to yourself and your family to come here and see what they have.
Dan D — Google review
Been going here for as long I remember for their turkey sub, it’s gotta be 20+ years. I’ve been around the world(including France) and have yet to have a better turkey sandwich. The bread, quality of turkey+cheese, and special dressing combine to make absolute perfection. I no longer live in Florida but when I visit this is my first stop. Literally came here from the airport last time. This sandwich hasn’t changed for as long as I’ve been going and I will be sad if it does because it is perfection. Pastries are also gas. Do yourself a favor and stop by to try it yourself.

In response to Lenny Montesano and others -> Basically 'really?' poor service? Yeah, maybe this place is not for you. I absolutely love this place. Those amazing hard working staff, who are so skilled in these pastries; ask them any questions and they got the answers. They (staff) carefully pack your pastries in a box or several boxes, tie a string around it - what more do you want? Visited Mon Delice last week, staff went above and beyond as usual! Personally, I think the owner may be a bit strict, just a feeling I get from him. Been going there ever since I can remember and I have never had anything bad to say about the service there! Not saying you or others did, but if you brought some attitude, I wouldn't take your insults and high demands either, neither should staff. Try and smile some more. Besides you will be back, their food is incredible and you know it! Cheer up!

I'm from New York and this is the best bakery I've found in Florida in the past 15 years. Great selection of pastries and bread and your favorite pie you can order by phone. Mine is apple and they're outstanding. Helpful staff too.
Barry M — Google review
Very cute bakery. Place my pickup order and carried it to the car Open the box and the pastries were really cold like they've been froze. I was expecting fresh made pastries from that day. I let them warm to room temperature and tried them and they tasted good they had sweated where they had been cold which was not that great peeled the outside layer off the rest was pretty good. Definitely not what I was expecting.
Angie W — Google review
The pastries were good - worthwhile if you're in the area. There is nothing you can say wrong about the place, at the same time I can't rave about it either. It is a solid bakery - if you are by it, you should stop in.
Blair D — Google review
I've been going to Mon Delice since the late 70's, when I was a teenager, with my friends parents. I've taken my kids and now I take my grandkids. They used to be the best bakery ever, now things just don't seem fresh at all (for the past 15 years, they've been declining). The napolean was always my favorite. They were made fresh daily and you were lucky if you got there in time to get one before they sold out. Every now and then, when they did have leftovers, they would sell yesterday's pastries for half off the next day (which I never bought because I loved the fresh ones). Now you're lucky if they don't taste a week old. Everything that is supposed to be crisp, is soggy. None of the pastries are what they used to be. But the sub sandwiches are still great and they're the best..yes, better than Publix subs..that's why they get 4 stars. The bread is fresh, the spicy mustard is really good. I eat one anytime I'm in the area which is about once a week. Please bring back the fresh daily pastries! Update 2025...We have stopped going here at all now. It was bad enough that the pastries went downhill, now the subs have. The bread has changed in texture and gotten smaller. And the spicy mustard is no longer spicy. It almost looks like they've mixed it with mayo, but it's no longer good. We asked an employee about it, because we use the same spicy mustard at home and it tastes the same as it always has, and she said she didnt know. The current owner is not the friendliest person, but the employees are very nice.

Breakfast restaurant
Beacon Restaurant is a unique American eatery located in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. It has been operated by the same Greek family for over 40 years and is known for serving comfort-food classics such as crab cakes and bacon cheeseburgers. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but it's particularly popular for its breakfast menu. Visitors can also bring their own catch to be cooked according to their preferences.
The Beacon has been there for 50+ years. An old, reliable staple in New Smyrna Beach on beautiful Flagler Avenue. Their omelets are the best and packed full. Come hungry for one of the best breakfasts in the area. Highly recommend!

The Beacon was recommended to my husband and myself by our fishing charter captain. We explained that we couldn’t take our catches home with us due to us having to fly back the next day, but still wanted to eat it. This restaurant offers a “hook & cook” meal that comes with two sides. They closed at 3pm, and we arrived after 2pm unsure if they’d be willing to take us. They welcomed us with open arms and a kindness like no other. They took our king fish steaks and deboned them and filleted them. They were then brought back out to us for us to approve how they prepared the meat. The staff made us feel like we were cherished friends of theirs. The way they prepared the fish was absolutely melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the sides were amazing too. We had freshly sliced tomatoes, crinkle cut fries, green beans, and the best coleslaw we’ve ever had. Thank you for making us feel so special. We will be back next trip!

Family-friendly, Family-owned, and Family-run restaurant just steps from New Smyrna Beach right on Flagler Avenue. The owner/Chef has been providing delicious food enjoyed by a lot of locals for around 47 years. Sit inside or outside to people watch. This place reminds me of a Florida version of a New York iconic restaurant featured in the documentary "I Like Killing Flies" not because we saw even one fly but because the men who have devoted their entire lives to feeding those around them have a special calling and apparently it's also their god-given gift as well. PS: every Friday is major comfort food...Thankgiving dinner ($12). Delicious.

Stop for breakfast after watching the sunrise at the beach. This place opens at 7 AM. We got there around 7:30. They were not too busy. Our server was a decent middle-aged lady who seemed to be kind of rushed. Since it was so early most of our table ordered Warner and one coffee she seemed a little stressed out about that in the water had a funny taste Other than that, everybody pretty much ordered pancakes, eggs, and bacon . The eggs were a little overdone and firm, not fluffy, scrambled eggs as she described them. It’s definitely a casual café where you can grab a quick bite but don’t be accept. Did to stay long as they seemed very rushy. We paid roughly 70 bucks for five people to have breakfast which isn’t too bad these days. They have indoor outdoor seating and a very small parking lot super close to the beach, but not on the beach and it seems to be just a few waitresses for the whole establishment . I’d like to try their lunch just because they had a few things that caught my eye

Dairy Queen (Treat) is a beloved fast-food destination that has been delighting customers for decades, particularly in the charming New Smyrna Beach area. This iconic spot, established in 1953 and still family-owned, offers a nostalgic atmosphere reminiscent of simpler times. With its classic menu featuring soft-serve ice cream and signature shakes, it’s perfect for satisfying both sweet cravings and savory appetites.
Such a cool "Old School" original Dairy Queen! Owned by the same family since 1953. Service excellent! Ice Cream delicious! Atmosphere takes you back to childhood. Spotless dairy bar! An absolute must when on the East Coast of Florida!

Built in 1953 and still owned by the original family. This location looks like it did back then. There is plenty of parking around the building and there are many umbrella covered places to sit and enjoy your food and ice cream. This place is very nostalgic and has won an historical award. There was a line of loyal customers waiting to make their orders but it moved quickly. The food prices are very reasonable but the menu is limited. You can have a delicious hot dog with toppings of you choice or some of the ice cream they offer there. We drove almost an hour to see this location after learning about it and were'nt disappointed. After our hot dogs we enjoyed some dessert. I had my childhood favorite, a Banana Split, and thoroughly enjoyed it. We will make sure to stop by again next time we are in the area or when we get a craving.

I love this place! I’ve been going to this iconic vintage Dairy Queen outlet for the last 20 years. It is THE Dairy Queen for the New Smyrna Beach area, and if you’re driving through and need something, sweet or salty, you won’t regret stopping by. A number of years ago, they purchased the property next-door and created more shaded parking areas, so there’s usually plenty of spaces available. They also added more outdoor seating, all nicely shaded with huge umbrellas. If you go on a Wednesday, like I did this week, don’t be surprised if there’s a short wait in the line, because on Wednesdays they have their “$1.99 Banana Split Special”, and they are popular! (Insider tip: Ask for the sprinkled nuts as an extra topping.) They have other specials every day of the week, see the list below. To top it all off, their servers are smiling, happy, friendly people, who will make you feel like you just stepped back in time to the 1970s, when life was simple and wonderful, and when people interacted with EACH OTHER, instead of with a metal & glass contraption that you had glued to your hand. Aahh yes, this place will take you back. I hope they never change this location and the style. It’s a unique design leftover from ages ago. It can get busy but they do a good job of moving through the line. I experienced that first hand. The quality of ice cream is great too can tell they don’t water down their soft serve. Some unique specials I haven’t seen before for the location. I would say this is a cool stop even going by other locations to get to this one. No indoor seating so keep that in mind.

We love a good treat and slaw hot dog on a Sunday afternoon sometimes and DQ in NSB is where it’s at. They are always busy and the atmosphere is always fun, reminds me of the 90s when we would go and eat our cones and sit outside with the family on a hot summer night.

This Dairy Queen is a step back in time!! They have the best hot dogs in Florida!! And the $price$ recently went from 99cents to $1.25. You can't get a better dog at this price anywhere. Chili and cheese are only 25 cents...but you don't need them. And we all know about the concrete which stays in the cup when inverted! Don't forget dipped soft serve! I could go on about it but see for yourself. But this is only the DQ in New Smyrna!!!

Nature & Parks
Riverside Park, situated along the picturesque Indian River, is a beloved destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The park offers ample open space for picnics and leisurely strolls, complemented by engaging playgrounds that keep children entertained. Additionally, visitors can take advantage of the scenic dog park and fishing pier while enjoying events such as the New Smyrna Beach Jazz Festival and annual art festivals.
We went here during the 4th of July fireworks celebration and it was a great memory. The park is in proximity to the bridge and boat area. Grass and structures are well maintained. There is also a monument for WW2 distinguished units, a kids playground, and a public bisex restroom. Just walking distance and you have a wide selection of shops and restaurants in downtown.

Had a great time fishing at Riverside Park! It’s a peaceful spot with beautiful scenery and plenty of space to relax. Whether you’re an experienced angler or just out to enjoy the day, it’s a great place to unwind and cast a line. Definitely coming back!

One of my number 1 places I go to distress. Riverside park. Is one of the best places to go with your family friends and if you want to unplug and fish.

Nice little fishing spot! My girls also love the play ground here. There are bathrooms as well.

Great for fishing, kids play ground, picnics, dog park friendly, beautiful views, restrooms, water fountain, absolutely fabulous

My daughter loves this park you might see some dolphins if your lucky that day. The park has alot to do in the two play areas and if you get tired of running, swinging around and sliding you can take a nice walk around the large park area, and along the water . The bathrooms work all the time and there is fresh water on site.
Kdsfighter — Google review
Great Park near quite a bit of other activities. It is well maintained with a first rate playground that actually has a section that was built fo kids 2-5 years old. A veterans memorial with some history lessons to those who stop to read. A memorial to some of the local Greek history as well as a beautiful river walk with lots of benches. Great for the kids, fishing, walking the dog or just relaxing after a long wait at the local tax office.
Edward G — Google review
Very neat, clean, and well kept. The Kiwanis American flag display is awesome (not sure that it's a permanent feature). The boardwalks and piers on the bank are pretty cool.

I always appreciate visits to the gallery, particularly during the commencement of new exhibits. Director Megan is consistently occupied with her tasks and greets everyone with a warm and inviting smile. Her confidence radiates as the exhibitions come together. Kudos! I plan on returning soon as a few pieces truly captured my attention. The ongoing bat exhibit is truly delightful, but what I love most about this gallery is its diverse assortment of art.
Beautiful Gallery showing many talented Artists. Will love coming back! 🐦
Karen C — Google review
Went to see this small but discerning gallery. Enjoyed the exhibits and glad to have seen it!
Lori F — Google review
Cute little art gallery with a good variety of art. Nice show with good appetizers available also.
DJ S — Google review
We always enjoy our visits to the gallery especially at the beginning of new exhibit openings. You can always find Director Megan busy at work and always with a warm and inviting smile to greet us! And a glow of confidence as the exhibits come together. Bravo! We will be back soon as a few pieces really caught our attention.

A sweet and quaint gallery near the water. I enjoyed this quick browse and the staff were helpful and kind. So much to look at for any art buff, or even any art newcomer. I enjoyed the high selection of mixed media pieces and jewelry here as well. The art supported here comes from residencies that occur at the Atlantic Center for the Arts which also has a gallery, is a connected partner of this building, and is within a short distance and worth a visit as well.
Amikogaabawiikwe — Google review
The bat exhibit going on right now is wonderful. Overall though I love the variety of the gallery. This was my first gallery ever and I enjoyed it thoroughly - while we went during very slow hours the staff was friendly upon entry and let us view everything in our own space which was very peaceful.

Great and varied exhibits.

Great little gallery in the heart of downtown New Smyrna Beach. Set in an old brick warehouse, the industrial look is perfect to show the local artists work. They have events monthly, rotating collections, and are associated with the Atlantic Center for the Arts. Friendly and knowledgeable staff will greet you during your visit. Great place to pick up local art.

Gamble Place Historic District is a hidden gem featuring a historic home, Snow White's Cottage, and a one-of-a-kind citrus packing house. The complex offers self-guided tours with informative signs on each building, or you can arrange special group tours. The beautiful landscape is home to peacocks, adding to the serene atmosphere. While daily tours inside the buildings would be appreciated, exploring the grounds is still enjoyable.
We went on a star gazing tour. Lots of fun.
Greg T — Google review
Edit: so I went out there and I was wrong, sorry. Cracker Creek no longer works with MOAS to let people in. The only way to get in now is when they do an event there which happens maybe twice a year. The place is falling apart too, which is a shame It is a beautiful nature preserve with some great history to see as well. Snow white themed buildings, citrus packing house, and acres of nature to enjoy.
Justin S — Google review
Beautiful landscape and peacocks are around the perimeter! Just wish they would have daily tours for going inside the building. At least on the weekends when it's a little more busy. Great time s the grounds are a nice walk through.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful lunch spot, look no further than Da Kine Poke NSB located on Flagler Avenue. This charming eatery boasts a clean environment and an incredibly friendly staff that makes you feel right at home. Despite how busy it can get, your food arrives promptly, allowing you to enjoy your meal without much wait.
I am a big poke fan back home in Indiana. This place met my expectations and then some!! For 15 bucks (through doordash) I was able to get a full meal of high quality fish and some of the best poke ever! The warmed rice went excellent with the toppings! Overall one of my new favorite places!
Alex M — Google review
Da Kine is one of my favorite places to visit in NSB. Those poke bowls are seriously so delicious, I wish I had a place like this back home.
N H — Google review
Based on the conversation other patrons were having with the restaurant staff, Da Kine NSB has been open for business for a while and is known as a safe poke option by locals. I built my own bowl with spinach, salmon and 8 toppings (you can get up to 8 without an extra charge, which is nice) and everything was fresh. 4 stars because it wasn't outstanding poke, just a regular poke spot averaging $16/bowl. Service was very friendly and the our bowls were prepared quickly. A positive late lunch experience overall.
Alessandra C — Google review
Colleen was such an amazing help with guiding me to create my bowl. She makes them.homeade and you can tell she puts her heart into making sure they are perfect. Amazing poke bowl!! Fresh ingredients and a great variety! Thanks for a great lunch.
Chelsea W — Google review
During my second visit, I went with a bowl that was recommended by the gentleman at the counter. BUT the El Diablo poke bowl was so incredibly salty that I had to remove as much of the toppings as possible. It was so overly salty that I truly thought it had to be a mistake or something! I was so confused on how this bowl could be the top seller. Salmon and avocado were fresh though. I will return but will opt for a different selection or I will customize my own bowl.
Christine P — Google review
If you are around and crave some Poke this is the place! Tasty, made fresh to order, super friendly staff!
Alejandro R — Google review
SO GOOD!!! Every drive to nsb is complete with coming here. The vegetarian options are great and all of the ingredients are fresh and tasty. This is my favorite poke place and I love everything about it here!
Grace A — Google review
This is a great lunch spot on Flagler. The staff are really friendly and the place is really clean. The food comes out quick no matter how busy they seem to be. They also have a good selection of craft beers in cans. The poke bowls are pretty big. I am always filled up by them. There's a good variety of options for the poke bowls, and several protein options, like tuna, salmon, tofu. A good deal for what they charge. Seating is all outside, next to the sidewalk. It's a nice place to sit, eat and people watch. There's also usually a rooster or two that come and say hi.

Nestled amidst swaying palm trees and inviting hammocks, GoJuice is a vibrant outdoor café that perfectly captures the essence of island life. This charming food truck, inspired by the laid-back vibes of Pura Vida in Costa Rica, has found its home along Flagler Ave in a picturesque Florida beach town. Here, you can indulge in an array of refreshing juices, smoothies, and acai bowls made from locally sourced ingredients right before your eyes.
My favorite is the CHARLIE BROWN (for a creamier smoothie, replace the coconut milk with almond milk, add some honey). smoothie comes out very thick and delicious! $7 well spent. 😊Next time, I’m going to try the banana coffee!

Love their acai bowls and especially the peanut butter bowl! It is a cute little hut where you go to the window to order. There are picnic tables to eat at and it is on main street beach side New Smyrna Beach so you can enjoy the beachy vibe while you enjoy a delicious cool treat.

Loved this place when it was open in the Shores. Decided to drive to NSB to give this location a try. Cute beach style location. Good vibes. Peanut Butter Açaí bowl on point. Haven’t been? Go! You won’t regret it.

Such tasty everything! 🌞 Love the purple punch smoothie, it has a wonderful subtle chocolatey taste because of the cacao nibs in there. The ginger kale juice is nourishing. The dragon fruit bowl is delectable and has no added sugar except in the granola (which is super tasty and worth any small amount of added sugar). All in all a great experience every time. The employees are friendly and accommodating to any custom order requests as well. Love this place so much!

My first PB acai bowl( no coconut) at Go Juice. It was fantastic ! The texture of the PB is much thicker than a sauce but was perfect for the bowl..and the taste was 10/10. I ate the entire thing !

Grayce K. Barck North Beach Community Park is a relaxed and laid-back outdoor space with ample grassy areas, restrooms, and outdoor showers. It boasts a beach with fire pits, making it an ideal destination for families with young children. While being conveniently close to downtown, the park offers enough breathing room to avoid overcrowding. On weekends, food trucks are available, and parking options are plentiful if you think creatively beyond the roadside spots.
We arrived early and got parking. It was relatively quiet up until around the noon hour later. When they shut the drive in on, always a pleasure to go to the beach.
Jeannine M — Google review
Teeny tiny park located off the beach. We really just stumbled upon it on our walk and decided to duck in. I wouldn’t say there is any actual reason to make this a destination but if you are around the area, it is nice to walk through. You can walk all the trails in 15 mins.
Madison M — Google review
It's the spot if you're willing to spend $20 to park. Might as well make it all day. (9am-5pm) So it's free after 5 and it's closed at 11pm.
A H — Google review
Nice beach, but $21 to park no matter if you're there a half hour or all day?!? Don't get ripped off. I'm sure there are plenty of other places that won't gouge you if you intent is to stay a shorter amount of time.
Um N — Google review
A wounderful beach for family and just relaxing.
Robert C — Google review
Nice soft beach. Beautiful area. If you are at this parking lot it’s paid parking. There is a free lot just a bit West of here on the right corner. Natural beauty at this beach. Fire pit areas. You can picnic off the beach at the pavilions. No overnight stays as with most all these parks. Wild shenanigans going on late night. I mean, if you wanna get jiggy in your car - the least you could do it throw your condo box and wrappers in the trash or take them with you and dispose of at home ! Nasties.

Sugar Mill Ruins Travel Park is a historic site located in New Smyrna Beach, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The ruins offer a glimpse into the area's past, with its origins dating back over two centuries. Once part of the Cruger-dePeyster Plantation, this 17-acre site features nature trails and picnic spots for visitors to explore and enjoy.
We stayed here for May while visiting family in the area. We stayed in site 11 with a 42ft fifth wheel. We enjoyed our time, the pool is fantastic, the lake in the back has good fishing, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. It gets a little soggy when it rains but it's worth it for the jungle-like feel of the campground. We plan to stay again when we're in the area. Thanks again for a fun, memorable month!

If there is an RV park in heaven, Sugar Mill Ruins will be it. It’s the only place my wife and I will stay when we come to Florida. The staff is excellent, always smiling and friendly. Kathy, who usually runs the front desk is on top of it . It’s always been a pleasure dealing with her. The place is clean and beautiful. The pool has to be one of the best pools in Florida . We feel safe and secure here . We love that they have the laundromat and extra showers and bathrooms. You can’t go wrong staying here. They even have a good system for Amazon to drop off packages. This place is well designed for Rv living and that’s all there is to it. GB

Sugar Mill Ruins Travel Park is one of the most beautiful travel parks in Florida! It is nestled in one of the finest natural landscapes left in Florida. It has a family vibe that feels like home. The staff members are friendly and effective at keeping the place running smoothly. The maintenance crew works hard to help all the guests and to keep the grounds maintained. The front desk crew is friendly and knowledgeable. I give them 5 out of 5 stars!
Molli — Google review
The campground was nice but the sites themselves were VERY tight and close together. There wasn’t any room for us to sit outside with chairs and enjoy a campfire or such. Our awning was just about touching our neighbor and it wasn’t even fully extended. No real definition of where your site started and stopped. They were pretty much overlapping. The pool was beautiful and staff was friendly.
Kate B — Google review
My family and I had high hopes for this campsite after hearing rave reviews from friends who had stayed there. However, our experience was far from what we had anticipated. Maybe they had a change in management, as the staff was unfriendly and the place was poorly maintained. The provided flyer was inaccurate and misleading, as some of the activities and facilities they advertised were not available. Additionally, it was unprofessional to close the pool for a private party. And let’s not forget the terrible weather conditions when it rains. The roads are unpaved or graveled and uneven, creating numerous puddles and mud. Other things that just made our experience worse was that they didn’t have hot water for their showers, and please be careful on their electric box’s, since the wires were exposed making it an electrical hazard. Near an our campsite there was a strong smell of gas. This campground seems to have long term residents in the priority. Needless to say, we wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
A M — Google review
We stayed in one of the cabins at Sugar Mill Ruins Travel Park and were pretty disappointed. Upon check-in, the door key barely worked — it had to be wiggled and forced just right to open. The cabin itself wasn’t clean: sand all over the floors and even on the beds, plus stains on the twin mattress covers. The bathroom water smelled very strongly of sulfur, which was especially tough for me being newly pregnant and sensitive to odors. The fridge only worked off and on, and one of the window panels by the door was broken off and just sitting on the shelf near the TV. On a positive note, the pool and tiki bar area were nice, but overall the cabin itself definitely needs better upkeep and attention.
Alex W — Google review
The Camping Cabin was great. Great place Great People. Sugar Mill is my Home away from Home. Beautiful Pool lots of shade. Quiet at night very peaceful. Friendly Campers for camping neighbors

My wife and I went for a great package with the overall experience being very amazing. Everybody was professional, friendly, lunch was delicious, environment very relaxing. First time for me, but not my wife however I do have to say I am very impressed and look forward in coming back to the spa. On an important note, Tracy was the one that assisted me over the phone with all the bookings and more having to communicate back-and-forth due to minor issues. Nothing that she couldn't handle and she did so very smooth. She was very professional, gave good vibes and and overall amazing. Just wanted to throw some props her way to thank her specifically for everything and express my gratitude. Nonetheless, everyone and everything was great at the spa at Riverview and will be back.

This place was so simple and cute, you get a locker with a Robe and flip flops. The pool area was cute and quiet. The only thing i did not like was the waiting area was very small and cramped when more people started coming.

This place is so relaxing. They give you a robe and footwear in a locker for your personal use. While you visit. The back patio is so relaxing with the sounds of waterfalls and the 2 mineral pools. We ate lunch that they ordered for us from the deli next door and the chicken salad on greens with the sweet salad dressing was to die for. It started to rain, so we had lunch in there room looking over the pools. It was a perfect day. It wasn't our first time there and definitely won't be our last.

Nice beach. We went in mid Sept so it was not the tourist season. National Seashore so $25 day pass or bring the Nat'l Parks Pass. We went for a rocket launch. Pretty good spot to see it. Not crowded for it at all. Be comfortable with the human form in all it's shapes and sizes if you are going to be on the beach.

Gorgeous beach. Sand is grainy and you tend to sink when you walk so may be hard to navigate. Lots of shells of many colors. We saw a bobcat! Armadillo and tortoise too. Not for children as there are exposed bodies. Private area when we were here. Only a few people when we went but it was also chilly.

Even on overcast days. It’s a perfect place to feel free and liberated. Can’t wait to go back when it’s nice and sunny out 🌞☀️🌊🏖️ They have a nice parking area and bathrooms right on the road. The road is paved all the way down to boardwalk 5. We did see some beautiful wild life on the way down as well : a few armadillos, a wild hog with her six little piglets and a lot of different types of birds. Great park for anyone who just enjoys nature and nudity. PS. It does cost to enter the state park. We traveled here in dec 2023 and it was $20 for the car and that was good for 7 days.

The very end of the Drivable Rd., Canaveral Beach. And it is stunning. You have the Indian river on the west side of the peninsula and 100 feet in the other direction is the Atlantic ocean. This is a primitive beach, although it had it has a place for fishing. Incredible views in the park service has put in an audio tour that gives a quick synopsis of what you’re looking at. Share is wildlife everywhere we passed several armadillos in pelicans. In the summertime I understand there’s 5000 turtle mess out here.

Early risers get the few spots available for parking. The wait for a spot can be trying on your patience but if you just chill a spot will open up as people leave. The beach is worth the wait Is like having your on spot on a very exclusive private beach There is an entrance fee.

• Visited on Friday morning in late December 2023. Most kids still in school so it wasn’t busy at all. • We went down to pier 5 just to see what all the fuss was about nude sun bathers. There was decent amount of parking. We saw one “old” guy obviously nude way way down the beach to the left. That was it. It was a little cold the day we visited but sunny. Wife said it was a bit too windy and chilly to be sunbathing. On the other side we saw a kite-surfer(not sure what to call it?) That was cool to watch. • We did not see any tortoises as we were hoping for but saw at least 6 armadillos on the side of the road driving down and back up from the beaches. • You do pay at the gate and/or check your national park pass. The Eldora Statehouse is a significant piece of Florida history located within the Canaveral National Seashore park. It holds historical value as it used to be a family home and is one of the last remnants of old Florida. The house is situated near Playalinda Beach, offering visitors a glimpse into the state's past.
Beautifully kept part of history. Self tour outdoors or ranger led indoor.

Wow!! A lot of history in a small house. Friends group man the home and provide a video which was lost initially but rediscovered during the 50th Anniversary celebration. Also a lot of knowledge in the gentleman that was there for our afternoon visit. Even kind enough to take our photo in front of the house. Great National Park, Eldorado was a surprise for us!

Love this little gem tucked away in Florida’s beauty. I just wish it was open inside! :( However, the trails and the docks make up for it, and it makes for an amazing fishing spot, so bring your license with ya!
Seaira S — Google review
Friends and I stumbled across this hidden gem back in '77, when renovations were just underway, I think. Were on our way back from Apollo Bch. complete with a whole body burn. The site was wild and wooly and the swamp angels were rockin'!
James B — Google review
House is representative of 1800's settlers and farmers in this area. No charge to visit the house.
Dexter L — Google review
We parked in the parking lot, and headed out on the short walk to the Eldora house. We scanned the QR code the the audio tour sign, and listened to a narrated history presentation while walking. It was suggested that visitors relax in the rocking chairs on the porch and imagine what yesteryear might have felt like. We did just that! Those chairs are sooo comfortable! So glad we stopped here.

Just wished the museum was open. No idea when it is open for tours.

A great piece of Florida history. This historic site is inside the Canaveral National Seashore park and so has a national park entrance fee for the vehicle. After entering you travel about 1.25 miles (just past the Apollo Visitor’s center to the River Road turnoff on the right-hand side of the road. This road will take you by the parking areas 7 and above. There are signs for the turnoff for this site. I believe that it is about parking lot 8. Parking lot for this location is a fair distance (about 300 yards down the road) from the physical structure and the river. It is a beautifully restored house to museum for the time period. Upon entry we were greeted by a park ranger. He offered and we watched a 13 minute video. Following that we looked at the displays in the first two rooms of the house. The staff member was very friendly. Outside the house there is a dock to the north and a walkway and trail to the south. We did not go very far along the walkway. If you are a Florida history fan, this is a must-see!

Public beach
Mary McLeod Bethune Beach Park is a 6-acre coastal gem that offers a blend of river and oceanfront experiences. The park features a boardwalk, sports courts, playground, and fishing opportunities. Visitors can enjoy the pristine coastline and take leisurely walks along the beach. The area is also popular for fishing, with plenty of space to relax and watch fishermen in action. However, it's important to be cautious of ground shells on the sand as they can be sharp.
This is a nice beach area. The sand is more coarse than Daytona beaches. The surf is rougher as well. There is not a lot of beach area when the tide is up. It is beautiful here and a great place for surf fishing. There is off beach parking. There is paid parking available, or if you're a volusia county resident, it's free with a permit. There is a lot of fishing from this beach due to deeper waters and less beach area. Near the beach area are public restrooms and covered picnic tables

Every year we book a pavilion on the beach here! We had a wonderful time with our family reunion this time. Everyone was comfortable, the area was clean and easy to navigate to. The bathrooms are close and convenient for elderly guest and children. The beach is right in front of you. It was safe for our children to play in the area and the pavilion made it safe for us when it rained to continue our picnic and family reunion festivities. Definitely will continue to book the pavilions at this park for family events. My only concern was the $20 parking per car in certain areas of the park. This was not made clear, and signs were not in front of every parking space or area. It would’ve been helpful to inform my guests that although we as organizers are Volusia County residents, and also paid to rent out the pavilion, that every guest still has to pay for parking. One of our Illinois guests received a $70 ticket during our visit while sitting in their car facing the beach.

My daughter and I go here often for sunrise, as it's only about 40 minutes from the house and parking is free before 8am. I've been taking my children here for years and we always have the best time, whether it's a cold day and we just want to enjoy a picnic and walk on the beach, or hot summer day and we want to swim. Lots of shells, cute little playground for the kiddos, an outdoor shower area and nice sized bathrooms for changing. Before my daughter left for college my girlfriend's and I took the girls for sunrise and Bible Study and it was breathtaking! A really great spot for the entire family 🤍

This is one of my favorite spots to see manatees and dolphins. Great launch for paddle/kayak. Close to JBs Fish Camp. Watch out for tourists. They can often be found encroaching on the spaces of endangered manatees and allowing their unruly children to splash about disrupting the serenity.

I love coming here to the beach at this spot it's never crowded. You can see for Miles in both ways. have the baby turtle things roped off and it's always clean from trash

Nice park. Three good picnic areas. One very large. Grassy area which is nice to lay a blanket down or put your chair out. Several showers. Was very clean and not a lot of people. The beach area is great. Nice sand and lots of great shells.

This is a beautiful beach, pristine coastline, amazing place to walk. I went on a day it was sunny but also Mist and fog was coming in- it was still stunning. I loved watching the fisherman who was there, loved watching them catch bait and just enjoy the day. There's a ton of ground shells and sand- it feels wonderful to walk in but beware- I walked through my house with it on my shoes and the next morning a piece literally sliced my foot! Brush your shoes off before going home! Otherwise I was fine walking barefoot all day. Around 3 or 4ish the surfers came- it was fun watching them stretch and paddle out to catch waves. It's a beautiful site to watch them surfing, the waves coming in, and seeing people walk along the beach so they can enjoy the surf. The parking along the walkway is good, a few one way streets but the sand and wheels are probably 6- 12 inches deep. That's an actually parking lot at the park worth shaded places to sit- is really pretty too. We brought a pucnic lunch to eat, as did several others. I'm not too sure if there's a lot of restaurants but i did see quite a few on the other side driving out. If you want some rest and rekaxation, being a blanket or chairs and plan on exploring. It's a Great free way to spend the day at the beach!!

This is a quiet little spot with a restroom and outside shower. There isn't much of a shoreline, but still you can lay out or sit in the benches up on the sidewalk. It's $20 to park.

Parks
Dog Park is a popular spot for dog owners, offering both shaded and sunny areas as well as separate sections for little and big dogs. The park provides ample seating for humans and has received praise for its friendly regulars. Some visitors have noted inconveniences such as dirt areas and limited access to bathrooms, but overall, it's considered a great place to socialize pets. Additionally, the park offers amenities like pools, balls, and tunnels for dogs to enjoy.
Like this park a lot. There are a lot of dirt areas though which can make it messy. There are also bathrooms for humans (not even a port o potty). So if you’re staying for more than a quick visit that might be an inconvenience. I haven’t had any issues with other ppl or their dogs. All have been friendly so far in the 2 weeks and I’ve been visiting almost every day.
Meg S — Google review
I went there expecting some kind of play ground for dogs but it’s pretty much like my backyard. The plastic kiddy pool they have was mud water and the drinking areas were dirty and I definitely wouldn’t drink from there why should my dog. There is shaded spots and seating I hope they would try to get some more fun stuff for dogs.people do bring unvaccinated dogs there and if your not aware they could get sick

A lot of ill mannered, bad behaviored dogs with owners who don't care

Just reopened on the 8th today is the 11th and with new grass less dirt. However, everyone always leaves as soon as I get there. Apparently because nobody ever picks up their dogs poop, I have picked up the poop rude dog owners are ruining it yet again.

Nature & Parks
27th Avenue Beachfront Park is a 3.4-acre park featuring a playground, swimming beach, picnic areas, and racquetball/basketball courts. The car park is free after 5 pm and the kiddie park caters to toddlers up to 12 years old. The beach area is ideal for families with small children as it marks the end of 'on-beach driving.'
This area of the beach is amazing!!!! It has parking available ($20 for full day in parking lot, $34 to park on the beach) a park area, basketball court, and a pavilion. This was my first time parking on the beach and the attendant was kind and there was a lot of room and space to park on the beach. I encourage anyone to arrive early anytime before 10am as afterwards it tends to get very busy. My family spent about 4-5 hours and it was well worth it! I look forward to returning and creating more memories.
Zipporah-Darvi R — Google review
$20.00 to park for 4 hours. Sand that day was packed down like a road. You can park on the beach as well but I walked 4 miles on the side you can’t drive on. Beach was super clean and had lots of shells that day. Parking lot bathroom was well maintained with real plumbing.
Julie M — Google review
The neglect of this park over the last few years is pathetic. I cannot believe the parts of the playground that are broken have not been fixed, the ramp access has not been restored, all of the umbrellas have been removed from over the tables, and the swings have been removed from the swingset. And it has been like this for years. This was a really beautiful park I used to love taking my kids to and now it feels totally abandoned. Very, very sad that the city has not stepped up here.
Cameron M — Google review
The entire playground has been beautifully upgraded with a secure, all-around fence that locks in place, ensuring a safe environment for children. It’s incredibly accessible and thoughtfully designed for kids of all ages. There are tons of fun, new play features—everything from creative climbing structures to engaging activity zones.

Play ground was under construction. we were there on the 27th of April. 20.xx to park with c.c. only . Clean bathrooms beautiful view. Photo is before sun came up.
Nicole C — Google review
Clean park with nice equipment that's all shaded. Has bathrooms and showers so if ur coming from the beach u can rinse off or get clean before getting in ur car. Lots of parking an generally well kept. Will go again when the beach drive on access is open. Over all a nice park with good adminities that I would recommend people go to. Specially if some of the party isnt all about the beach.
Malcolm L — Google review
This was a really nice beach, access to close parking, and bathrooms nearby. So why would I only leave a 3-star review, right? Well that's because this is a very short beach and while it's nice. If you go here at the wrong time you can basically get ran off the beach by the tide because when it's high tide there is basically no beach yes the water comes all the way up to the wall consuming the entire beach.
David F — Google review
Major bummer the ramp is under repair! 7.30.2022 Update, 07/29/2025: no beach access at all, wiped out from storm few years back. We had to share the driveway access with cars to access beach. $20 parking inside the lot, $33 for beach parking.
