Missoula has a nice local museum. Right downtown, convenient, and definitely worth checking out!

Nice small museum with some good contemporary art. Free to enter. Wasn’t too crowded on a hot Saturday afternoon. Took probably 30-40 minutes to go through and explore. Easy to park outside.

This museum is Missoula's little gem that should get more foot traffic than it does. The museum tips its hat to the native Americans who inhabited this land called Montana before the white man did. Both with its current exhibit and permanent collection, the museum captures the plight of the Indians, the injustices still being done to them, and the beauty of their culture. Btw. The museum is also free

Small museum but all of the displays were well done and thought provoking. Some difficult subject matter. We enjoyed it and spent about an hour. Parking downtown is paid street parking. Get there when they open and parking was available, but later is harder to find a spot.

The MAM creates an amazing space showcasing wonderful artwork from local artists. I was in town for the day on business and so glad I stopped in. The employee at the front desk was so pleasant as she explained the museums layout. Make time to visit and enjoy.

We really enjoyed browsing the local art here! So many fantastic pieces by local artists, I only wished that the main-level room was open on this day so I could check it out too. Was closed for maintenance so I'll have to make it back another time :)

Well, for modern art, it's actually a pretty decent museum. And they have more standard art on the top floor. Worth a visit for sure. You can donate, but it is free to visit.

Open air museum with a decent sized indoor museum. The whole area is pretty nice and covers not just military history but local history as well.

The Historical Museum at Fort Missoula was such a fascinating experience! There’s so much to see and learn — the history spread throughout the property is absolutely astounding. We loved exploring the outdoor exhibits and taking in all the stories behind the old machinery and buildings. Be prepared for lots of walking, but it’s well worth it. Definitely plan to spend a good amount of time here — and maybe count it as your steps for the day! A wonderful stop for history lovers and families alike.

This was a reallllllly cool place to walk through. If you are close give this place an hour or two you will thank me:) the school house was my favorite.

My almost 3 year old (Birthday June 18th) dog Herbie's absolutely loves to visit the Fort weekly! So many places to roam around to walk, run, explore & be free in wide open areas for miles (he is well trained & minds his manners).

Very interesting sprawling location just outside of Missoula. Appears to be an ongoing work in progress, as there are many items and artifacts that seem to be awaiting further development. Start in the museum, housed in an original building - see the video that covers the history of the fort. Then do the museum. Very interesting. For instance, I never knew that the government once tried bicycles as a means of transportation for the army. So much so, that they had an entire unit of Buffalo Soldiers who peddled all the way to St. Louis - some 1900 miles! They decided that the bike would never replace the horse. :) Then proceed to the grounds. 35 acres of original and collected buildings. The are original barracks that were used to inter the Japanese during WWII, but they were closed for remodel when we were there. There is a trolley barn that houses an old Missoula trolley, but it was closed when we were there. Then proceed to the trains and other equipment, and don't miss the old relocated Forest Service Lookout Tower. Closed to enter, but interesting to look at. Finish up by driving around the old fort grounds and looking at the original officers quarters that are now used by governmental agencies. Then find your own hidden treasures. The place is interesting, and I'm sure will see continued improvements and areas of interest.

I really liked the rainbow aesthetic. I also liked that there was ping pong tables and corn hole areas. Also places for kids to skate and green grassy areas by the river to sit and chill. This seems like a very cool place to hang out. I enjoyed my trip there.

Beautiful river access, well tended grass, a sprawling playground. Overall a 10/10 city park. The Dinner in the Park food was great too!

I love this park, but there is no parking enforcement. I am a quadriplegic who requires access to my handicapped spot. Apparently, this car was parked by a police officer working beerfest as security. Access lines are not a parking spot for anyone. Just cause I'm disabled doesn't mean I should be excluded from an event. Actions like this say that. Definitely from police/security as I'm calling them to tow this car.

I've never seen so many people gathered in Caras park at one time. It was awesome knowing that we were ALL there to back-up (essentially) the same cause. NO TRUMP NO KINGS NO FASCIST USA

Latin Heritage Festival was festive and wonderful perfect time of year.

Caras Park is an incredible gem in Missoula, perfectly situated along the Clark Fork River. The location and facilities are ideal for community gatherings, making it a hub of activity and enjoyment. Having lived above a similar park in a smaller city, I was particularly impressed by the cleanliness of Caras Park. I visited at 8 am on a Sunday and noticed the maintenance crew had just been through, leaving the park very clean. Urban park bathrooms can often be a concern, but here they were clean, not my above comment Despite understanding that showcase parks receive special attention, Caras Park gives no impression of falling victim to neglect or nighttime disturbances. The park is a testament to the dedication of the maintenance team and the pride of the local community. It’s a fantastic place for Missoula residents and visitors alike.

Exquisite visitor center and highly respected mission. Great gift shop as well. It would be great if the center was open on Saturdays as well. We are from Florida and two prior times when in the area unfortunately happened to be on a weekend when the visitor center is closed. So, this time we planned our Montana trip so we would be in town during a weekday just to visit the center. However, we were so disappointed today when we arrived to find a large portion of it closed for remodeling. We had visited the website prior to making the drive, but didn’t see any mention of the closure. However, after today’s visit we looked again and did find a small blurb that states it is being remodeled for the first time and will be open later in the summer. We hope to make it back one day to tour in its entirety.

Really cool and informative, free entrance, gift shop, and cool taxidermy, worth a stop!

Wonderful conservation organization. Some of the exhibits are currently under construction, but the gift shop is open and you can still view some of the taxidermy work, as well as walk the trail. Very clean facility.

Great place for kids to learn about elk and their habitats.

Amazingly wonderful place to learn about the local elk and their habit. It is free to get in and look around. There are great walking paths on the property that are also free to use. There is a small shop, but its only focus is on men with nothing for women or children. Prior to their remodel, the whole place was more family friendly in the activities as well as the shop.

Beautiful place, with a really nice shop. Unfortunately, the exhibition is closed until late summer 25.

I saw a collection of different elk heads and their descriptions in a room along with a video in regard to them as well as the Foundation. A part of the display in another section was closed due to some updates. A unique gift shop was in the same building having hunting items and clothing for sale. I would recommend a visit due to the large amount of taxidermy.

This was AWESOME! By luck, right as we pulled into the visitors center we saw a drop happen! Ranger Will was an awesome visitors center host and did a wonderful job talking to a class of school kids! Smoke Jumper Aaron gave us a tour and he was fantastic! We got to see all the gear prep (really cool to learn about how much they do themselves) and see a parachute shakeout. We pulled in just seeing the highway signs and it did not disappoint! Top tier tour and experience!! Thanks Y'all!

The museum is neat, with an old fire lookout exhibit, displays and a video. But the best part is an hour long escorted tour through the facilities by the knowledgeable caretaker Will or a working smoke jumper. Fantastic. These guys and gals are incredible at what they do.

We had a 1.5 hour tour with a very knowledgeable guide who described history and current practices. Saw parachute maintenance areas and ramp. It was well worth the time.

Don't miss this great opportunity to learn about smoke jumpers.  We learned so much at this museum and especially enjoyed the tour led by one of the smoke jumpers. They are currently open Tuesday through Saturday and the tours are at 11 am and 2 pm but I suggest calling ahead to confirm that. The tour was so well done.  Ours was led by Tony and he did a great job. Gave us such an appreciation for all they do.

We liked the talk and tour. It was very interesting to see the working area and the aircraft. I am surprised how much time the smoke jumper spent with us. The visitor center exhibits could be updated and refreshed. We hope they all have safe jumps in the future.

We came to the Pacific North West from Europe and visited Missoula specifically for the Smoke Jumpers exhibit, only to find it closed upon arrival (despite its advertised opening hours today). We even called several days in advance, couldn't reach anybody, nor was there any recorded message. In the year 2025, it takes less effort to update the website than to type up and print a page that the center is closed. We also noticed in the parking lot a half dozen other visitors to the center turning around and leaving disappointed. I'm making it a 3-star review, because it could be a very interesting place to visit and learn.

Holy cow, do not miss this museum, and be sure to take a tour because it includes the base itself. Extremely interesting and worth stopping for even if your destination is not Missoula. It is all free, so I suggest you buy some thing or donate some bucks. It was not clear, which of the numerous buildings that were part of the same complex was where one should enter. Some signage pointing the way to the museum would have been great.

I love this University. We went to the game last night. It looked packed and all the students and band made the surrounding mountains ring with cheers. Such a great atmosphere for a night game. Wish they had another video screen on the other end though. Also it would be great if you could have a beer in your seat. Still it was a great place to see a game.

In summary, while the academic experience at the University of Montana can be rewarding, the administrative and financial processes leave much to be desired, particularly concerning residency classification and financial aid. These challenges undermine the straightforward, integrity-driven, and student-focused values that the University of Montana is known for.

Nice collage campus in a somewhat historical area. Easy walkabout or bike riding location. Many trails, although the "M" trail is a bit tough, other sections and river bridge to the old City near by. Hidden road trails on the back side on the "M" to car ride. Pet friendly area.

Nice campus with lots of history. Small town feel with all the amenities needed in a modern Era.

After four years here, I can say that this is an amazing campus and worth spending time studying at. The faculty and staff are amazing, the grounds are beautiful, and there is always something to do or an event that is happening on campus. My favorite area is the Oval.

It's a good place for kids, it's inexpensive, and short. I was disappointed with the lack of education though. I love natural history - it's the whole reason I'm traveling the US - I want to see every natural history museum I can! The first room we saw had all kinds of taxidermied animals. They were up high, on the floor, and everywhere in between. They were excellently done and I loved being able to see so much of the animals, but the only information given for 99% was the name of the animal. A few got special treatment with informational signs, but nearly all just said what it was. I also think they could do a better job with the flooding from Glacial Lake Missoula. What an impressive series of events that was! I don't want to put dirty headphones on, but I enjoyed reading the signs. They were just overly wordy and boring. I'm a total nerd so that's really rare for me. They could easily make that area more exciting, easy to understand, and interesting. Luckily I began studying about it decades ago, but I think most people would go through it in no time at all. The "glowing rocks" exhibit was pretty cool, but hard to find and I wasn't even sure at first if I was supposed to be there. There were boxes to the side, coats hung up...I almost went past it, thinking it was an employee area. For wheelchair users: The ramp starts behind some bushes, so I didn't see it at first, but it's actually a lovely little roll. People using the stairs are missing out. From there it's a tight turn into the door - a 6 point turn for my scooter. The museum itself was very easy to navigate, with plenty of room. The bathroom was not though. I wasn't sure I'd be able to get in at all. There were 2 available - one with a couple of stalls, and one that was single person/large. I chose the single and maybe that was the problem - but it took me a long time to get in. Once inside there was plenty of room, and backing out was much easier.

Small, but so many informative, interactive displays for everyone!! We used the free pass available at the Missoula Library, so we did not have to pay the admission fee! Friendly staff, clean restrooms and clean displays made for a very enjoyable, educational visit! A true gem in Missoula!!

The exhibit pictured was truly life-changing. I would highly recommend this center for the price. Worth every penny.

Good and fun place.Great for little children to have some education.The bioluminescent rocks were cool and i talked and thought that it was because of the minerals and chemicals in the rocks.I would recommend this for children 6 and younger.No doubt this is 5 star!

Cool taxidermy and I love the fossil section but I think there should be more fossils other than that it was great

Great little indoor activity if you’re trying to escape the elements for a little bit. If you have an EBT card they participate in the Museums For All program and you get in for free!

Absolutely loved the museum. Exhibits are slightly outdated, but the information was good. Loved the living history homestead, the indigenous nations exhibit, and the paleontology exhibits!

Adored this hike. Steep but not too steep and provided panoramic views of Missoula and the surrounding area. Worth every step!

Valley socked in fog during winter? Head up this to find the sun.

Use left trail for excellent cardio workout, stunning views and photo ops. Sunscreen, wide brim hat, and water are necessities. Early morning or early evening hikes are more comfortable due to heat and sun exposure.

Bring oxygen and water. Watch out for the young whipper snappers and their beer cans. Be careful coming down I fractured my pelvis when I fell trying to chase after a bunny. I did get the bunny though and now I will always have good luck with my new lucky charm.

If you take the left trail to the top you won't run in too much traffic., Also it is currently a little muddy towards the bottom of the mountain but not too bad I just had to walk down instead of running.

Amazing! The vendors are gracious and well versed! I buy baked goods, like sweets, and lots of veggies. Today, there was fresh beef and salmon!

I love the Farmer's Market. The produce is incredible and it feels so good to support the local economy. The food tastes so much better than what you find in supermarkets.

This is my first time to visit this small and fun little market about a city block long. The vendors are great, the products are excellent and the atmosphere is fun with a lively vibe.

This .market has an outstanding selection of vendors, veggies, food, and . Every vendor we stopped at accepted credit cards which is a big plus.

Finally got down to the MFM and low and behold there's plenty of Huck's left, all price-fixed of course, Dixon melons, plenty of garden vegetables, bakery goods and friendly people. We engaged one young man selling Huck's to learn he's the youngest of 7 siblings all who've grown up picking Huck's. He's about to grad UM Mechanical Engineering and move on. Another gent playing guitar and singing well. Enjoyed our day there.

There is always an excellent selection, really friendly people and great food!! We love the sweet sisters gluten free bakery, and stocking up to make huckleberry everything in the winter!! Some vendors are by the pound, and some are by the container, the token system makes everything easy, and bring a big bag! Easy to walk to from the downtown bus terminal, or the Higgins trolley..edit: still just as awesome as ever!!

Our little one loved the Carrousel for Missoula. The carrousel itself is amazing. Clean, neat and very fast. But more than that, the playground and area around it is amazing too. We had lots of fun.

This place is so amazing and the people who run it are so kind. Our grandma is in a wheel chair and they kindly had accommodations to safely get her on the ride in her wheel chair to ride with her grand daughter. She said her best memories as a little girl were riding the carousel and she was so happy to relive those memories with us. We absolutely will be back

This was the highlight of my kiddo's week. He had so much fun. It is only $1 for kids and $2 for adults! We rode it twice! The elderly man running it made it so much fun for my kiddo the way he interacted with him!! The playground outside is amazing! We didn't want to leave!

We’ve come up for the summer the last 3 years and this continues to be one of my kids favorite spots in town. They’ve done a great job of preserving and maintaining this awesome landmark. Prices are reasonable and employees are SO friendly!

Hosted a party on 7/26 for my daughter's birthday. Mr. Jeff made things SO easy, his fun positive attitude made everything so easy, all of the staff working that day was so nice! Highly recommend!!

Beautiful carousel, but heartbreaking to see so many dead birds outside. I visited today and found three dead birds that had flown into the mirrored walls surrounding the carousel. This can’t be the first time. Mirrors confuse birds because they reflect the sky and trees, making them think they can fly through. Please, this needs to be fixed. Stickers alone won’t solve the problem. Why not invite the community to paint over the mirrors with something creative and beautiful that still keeps the carousel’s charm while saving the birds’ lives? I’ll gladly take down this review when the issue is addressed — but until then, it’s too sad to ignore.

Such a neat place with so many ways to enjoy the time!! Just had my child’s birthday there and was extremely satisfied! Haley and Shaun did such an amazing job with catering to myself and the party guests!! 100% perfection!! Thank you to the team and Tracy for making this private party possible!!

While traveling through the Missoula area, we were looking to soak in a bit of the countryside, and a winery felt like just the right stop. As we pulled in, it was clear something special was about to happen—balloons being blown up, the buzz of an event coming together. We soon learned it was for the West Side Theater, and even with all the preparations, the winery welcomed us with open arms. We were glad to lend our support with a donation to the cause. They poured us a lovely flight without hesitation and even set us up with seats a little further from the bustle so we could enjoy both the wine and the setting in peace. The wines leaned to the drier side—so if that’s your style, you’ll be delighted. The countryside here is stunning, the kind of place where the fields stretch out like gold, the leaves dance in the breeze, and the sunlight lingers just a bit longer. A beautiful stop for an afternoon well spent.

I’m native to Missoula and finally came out for the first time over the weekend and fell in love with this place. So peaceful and relaxing! The wine is amazing and the pizza is unique. Definitely worth a try!

Must visit when you in town! Bring your snacks for wine testing. It’s so relaxing here, view is perfect, music.. good selection of wine and white veggies pizza is delicious!

Such a hidden gem in the hills just North of town. Killer setting, reds, whites, wood fired pizzas, live music, places for the kiddos and all set amongst the grapes. Thankful the owners had the vision to build this oasis in Montana.

The staff were wonderful, the wood-fired pizza was good, and the wine selection was nice. The setting was beautiful. The live music/musician was not great- he had a great voice but his choice of songs and his delivery was odd.

Very tasty salted caramel at a respectable price. They do need to work on efficiency. Many folks scurrying around. Still took almost 15 minutes for 2 scoops of ice cream and less than 6 customers when I placed my order. Not good.

Yummy ice cream near restaurants, bars and camps for when you get the chilly munchies. Great flavors (had huckleberry and salted caramel), old-school walk-up ordering at the window with picnic tables to sit and enjoy the treats. Can get really busy in the evenings, but liner moves fast and with the wait! 🍨

The place for ice cream in Missoula. Long line when we arrived but moved quickly and efficiently. Got a huckleberry waffle cone with chocolate sprinkles which was excellent.

The beauty and style of this place is electrically classic. I’ve never been to an establishment that had so many neon, xenon, and other elemental lamps. The ice cream itself though was fine. Better than store bought but could be better.

Usually I like this place but tonight was just off. The problem I had was the sundaes were not the best it tasted fine but the toppings were put on the bottom and the banana was just put on the side. I know this is minor things but the presentation of food is important when I get a sundae it should look like a sundae not like ice cream with stuff on the side.

This Big Dipper is a Missoula family favorite. Loved by U of M students because of its proximity to campus, this location always is popular and busy. I liked the selections and variety. They have a great selection of ice cream. So many wonderful choices and SO GOOD!! You gotta go and have a truly wonderful ice cream treat!!🍦🍧🍨

I love ice cream, no, I looove ice cream! Whether in a waffle cone or a cup. And having a place that is open year-round is fabulous! The flavor of the huckleberry is great! The staff has been patient, friendly, and as quick as they can be. Big Dipper is great! Even with a long line, it is not a very long wait! Highly recommend it!

I was here for the Adult Night. Not too crowded, no waiting time for the slides and enough loungers for everyone. Definitely a younger crowd though.

We had a long vacation decided to stop and let the kids play, this place was very relaxing and kid friendly.

This place is fantastic. The lazy river is lots of fun, there was plenty of space in the pool for everyone. The pretzel's are gross but the pizza was alright. Soda's are nasty. But the Splash/Pool experience was fantastic and the staff amazing. The life-gaurds are attentive and switch out often, which gave me confidence to not "hover" over the older kids and allow them to just play. Loved it, and will definetely be back.

This place is awesome, the slides are amazing. You get different varieties of each kind fast, slow and tube it's really amazing, you get a lazy river, a deep pool for diving and jumping, and a Kiddie pool for the littles, so it's really fun to get to see everyone, be able to bond together in this pool experience, I recommend this I recommend the family pass if you want to go all summer, if not just get regular ticket goodbye.

A great place for teens and kids. It's a pretty small park and has very little seating for the amount of people that visit it now. I remember it being pretty popular when I was a teen. Even more so now it's quite crowded, it's a lovely place but really could use an expansion.

Affordable and fun place to go for the whole family. My family loves this place! Lifeguards are strict in ensuring everyone’s safety, regularly testing the water, and keeping up on cleanliness—I would say I’d prefer an air conditioned changing area for those hot days, but other than that, it’s definitely worth the money spent.

I came on opening day of 2025, and was very disappointed. I have been coming to this water park since I was a very young kid, and have loved coming here all through summer. But when I came this year, I was let down. The pool was filthy, the life guards where yelling at me and my friends for frankly doing nothing (except the one at the top of the slide. He was telling jokes, giving us slide boosts. He was a chill guy) and the slides were frequently turning off making us wait longer. But worst of all was the service at the concessions. I wanted to get a pizza for my friends as this was going to be our only lunch. I waited in a short line for almost an hour, and when I finally got to the front i was told the person in front of me was the last customer and I could no longer order. Because of this in order to get lunch, I had to but a horrible slice of pizza (which was from here) of a stranger for $15. You have lost a loyal customer. FIX THESE PROBLEMS, AND HIRE BETTER EMPLOYEES!!!!!

Awesome rotation of movies, great film festivals and seasonal showings. Even the basic membership allows you a discount on tickets and free popcorn. Adult beverages are available, I love the popcorn seasoning carousel and the friendly staff. The marquee and box office give it a warm throwback ambiance.

I was visiting Missoula for one night from Atlanta and we decided to see the F1 movie here. I can't say enough good things about this place. Very cozy and cute, extremely fair pricing, free water.... If I lived anywhere close to this theater I would be coming here every weekend. Truly a gem. Hope I can return!

the Montana film festival was such an incredible experience at the Roxy. the staff and venue clearly have a deep love for film and the atmosphere was excellent. I genuinely came back from Kalispell to see a movie here rather than the awful theater we have there. thank you Roxy crew, that was my favorite film fest in a long time. 10/10. no notes.

The Roxy is just simply the best place on earth. Popcorn is as good as homemade stove top. People are as kind as family. Movies and special programs are unique and always changing. My favorite place in Missoula.

If you have the choice of going to AMC or The Roxy...you must experience The Roxy! We had such a great time. The theater is clean and the staff is super friendly! Can't wait to return!

We went and watched the Cocaine Bear at the Rox. It's such an amazing place. Kind of a step back in time in the best way. Not to mention the amazing snacks and drinks sections that won't blow your entire paycheck. The staff is very friendly, the bathrooms and theaters are clean. It's the best theater in town. Don't go without watching a film here, you'll absolutely love it! I love how they also incorporated an advertisement by the Salish tribe, which is the tribe that I am from. It was really neat to see that. The decor was amazing as well. Nothing bad to report here. Support your local 🔥❤️

The Roxy is the best. Eclectic offerings, community events, delicious and affordable concessions, central location, and a mission with integrity. It’s a Missoula must.

It's slightly small if you're used to bigger art museums but they do rotate collections out. It's free though and shows off art from local university students, also local artists

What a gem! Just the right size. Every piece was well chosen. The work had tremendous variety. The explanations of the pieces were in plain English and were interesting. No charge to enter but donations are welcome.

I wish I would have taken photos, but I was captivated by the exhibits. I have wanted to visit the Museum since moving back to Missoula three years ago. My daughter set the date and we went. She was my tour guide and goes often. They were in the middle of rotating their display amd I can't wait to go back. Don't be like me and procrastinate, it's a great time.

Love the collection in this museum, I enjoyed all the different categories of art. But I felt like the employees were hovering around me while I was looking at the art. I’m not sure if it’s regular procedure/policy, but I saw others that were not experiencing this. Totally understandable since these piece are ancient artifacts and can compound to $$$. Favorite way to end a family road trip? Another, smaller road trip!! On our way back from yellowstone, we popped up here to get some air conditioned culture and decompress. The space was wonderful, quiet and open but cozy and not too silent to feel ok with a bit of chatter about the art. Wonderful works, fantastic variety, and a level of upkeep to the older pieces that rivals paid entry museums overseas! This beautiful space even managed to catch the attention of my very adhd little one, because the contemporary materials and bright colors in the section of college and young adult artists helped them to feel included in the time period of their making, which they used to find links to the ancient and antique pieces also! I love this place.

What a gem! Just the right size. Every piece was well chosen. The work had tremendous variety.

The area was neat and green. It had a soothing atmosphere that helped me unwind easily.

Great staff to go along with the incredible building. Nice layout of bars inside venue, easy flow of traffic for entry/exit. The sound engineers deserve props here also! Overall a magical place to see a show.

Way way over crowded. Zero control of the environment. Why were there toddlers and babies at a Mexican ot show? IDK I never want to go to another show but it always seems once every ten years they get a good act. Place is clean ish, people are extremely high and drunk every show I've been to. Prices are average, parking isn't an issue even being located were it is. This show was good cause of the artist.

Shows at the Wilma are wonderful. Just the right sized venue for Missoula, with great sound and a well restored historic interior.

The security is good and chill floors are always clean when I go in and sticky. When I come out that is how you know you've had a good night at the Wilma.

3.1.24: First time at this venue for a show and loved the theater like vibe--pretty open and spacious. It wasn't overly hot like most venues. I didn't feel claustrophobic and actually had room to dance to one of my favorite bands, The Elovaters. The sound was great, so kudos to the sound engineers. Security weren't rude and did a good job of just doing their job and keeping people safe. Bartenders were smiling and friendly and drinks were reasonably priced. Overall, I enjoyed this venue and would definitely travel to see another show here.

Big Sky Brewing Company – Missoula, MT (Concert Venue Review) Recently attended a concert here and couldn’t have been more impressed! The venue is spacious, well-organized, and surrounded by beautiful mountain views. It’s an awesome outdoor setting that feels laid back but still professionally run. Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and sealed bottles of water, which makes it easy to settle in and get comfortable. There are free cold water refill stations at the back of the lawn a huge plus on hot days. There were plenty of porta potties and while the lines for food, drinks, and merch did get long, the vibe stayed fun and relaxed. The stage and sound system were excellent, and the music felt immersive no matter where you were sitting or standing. If you’re heading to a show here come prepared, get comfy, and enjoy the experience. Great music, great setting, and great energy.

Big Sky is the burly beast of MT brewing and has the giant tasting room to fit, but the space is open, very Montana and comfy. Staff is very beer savvy and friendly. Great to have a Moose Drool from the source, disappointed to miss the Oktober! Outside seating available, plenty of seating options inside. Not really a craft brewery, more like a destination, but with them, the Sky is the limit.

This should be your first stop as soon as you land in Missoula. Big Sky Brewery does beer right. Their famous Moose Drool will have you drooling for more. Each beer is carefully crafted at their facility, literally behind the bar area. They even have a gluten-free Huckleberry Seltzer, it’s the best tasting seltzer I’ve ever had. Their Strawberry Rhubarb and their Masala beer are truly unique and delicious. There’s even an amphitheater behind the brewery that is part of the brewery. Concerts are held on weekends and big names come through to play. A great space to meet up with friends or unwind by yourself.

For the BBA aficionados, Ivan the Terrible is well worth the effort. Nice swag shop, great to see tees in colors other than black.

The beer was ok and the vibe was cool. I like to collect stickers from breweries I visit and they charge $4 for a sticker! I’ve only come across a few breweries that didn’t give free stickers, but never one that charged more than $1. This brewery must only care about making as much money as possible and not really care about their customers.

Stopped at Big Sky Brewing, home of Moose Drool. Super nice people - so friendly. The beers were excellent. I had the hazy IPA but I filled the growler with Drool for later. It was a little on the cool side today so we didn’t sit on the patio but it looked nice. Just off I90 so it’s easy to find. Highly recommend.

Had the best time at Big Sky brewing!!Cheyenne and Amanda were the most engaging people you ever want to meet. From dinner recommendations to talking about everything under the sun, they were fantastic.

Saint Francis Xavier catholic Church is a truly beautiful and spirit filled space. The sacred art on the walls and ceiling are captivating!

This is a beautiful and historic Catholic Church, the frescoes compete with those in Europe, a feat I have rarely seen in the US. But the priest celebrated one of the laziest masses I have ever seen! (Sunday evening July 6th, 2025) He couldn't be bothered to stand for half of it and gave his EMHCs the Eucharist during the consecration, like they were priests, well before the proper time. I'll mark the national hymns up to the elderly population and it being 4th of July weekend, but the irreverence for The Mass and The Eucharist are inexcusable!

Know that you can't bring large bags or baby car seats in. You can put your outerwear in provided lockers, as its 85° in the butterfly room. Cute little gift shop.

Very pleasant way to spend an afternoon. Informative displays with knowledgeable staff. Great butterfly room. Call ahead to verify release times of new moths and butterflies, as it’s cool to see them set free and there’s an interesting discussion about varieties and importance. Gardens are lovely but were weather-stressed during our visit.

What a fun excursion! We were visiting from Oregon and thought this would be fun. It indeed was. Recommended for any group!

We absolutely loved our visit to the Butterfly House. We got there just in time to see the release of butterflies that had recently emerged from their cocoons. A very knowledgeable volunteer did an amazing job of telling us about each butterfly as he released it. After watching butterflies enjoying the many beautiful plants and flowers, we went to meet the other bugs on display. Another knowledgeable & enthusiastic volunteer educated us about many of them. It was fascinating. All of it!

I brought a friend who was visiting from out of town and we had a great time. It's a beautiful facility and the button quail were an unexpected highlight.

I love this place. The staff is always wonderful, the facility is beautiful and my kids can roam without worries. The exhibits are awesome and the butterfly room is a lovely experience, particularly after releases. Kids get bored after about an hour- I could sit all day. We visit every time we stay in Zoo Town. Tips: Visit after releases and wear cool clothing- it is hot in the butterfly room ☺️

A really wonderful place that Missoula is lucky to have! Great for kids and adults alike. There are interactive exhibits in addition to the butterfly house. You could easily spend an hour here, especially if you walk the gardens outside, which are also worth a visit. Dress in layers - the butterfly house is warm!

Great little museum but the guide was new and really didn't know much about the subject matter.

I loved the history of the smoke jumpers. Nice range of aircraft, including some Bell helicopters. The story of how they found and restored a DC-3/C47 was fascinating. The docent was so helpful. Glad we visited!

This is a great museum dedicated to the flying history of the region and the smoke jumpers that fight forests in a very dangerous way, jumping out of the plane. This is not a military museum, and they have only only a few aircraft on display. The DC3 and C47 are both the center pieces of the museum. Both are in great condition, and you can go inside the DC3. Most of the museum is dedicated to the flying history of the area, areal firefighting, and smoke jumpers. They are a bit crammed for space but are slowly organizing the vast collection according to the curators.

What an amazing experience for anyone interested in flying. They have a good array of various mountain planes, and plenty of information on each of the aircraft. One of my favorite parts of visiting this museum is that you can go into and/or sit in some of the planes. They also have a great display on Smoke Jumpers as well. They have a gift shop too if you are interested in getting souvenirs. The entry fee is only $5, and I believe they are open seasonally, so call first to make sure they are open.

Bryan, Bill, and Henry were wonderful guides for our visit. We came with an entire school and they did a great job of showing us all the airplanes and telling us the history of flying in Montana.

A beautiful mid morning hike while the fog rolled through leaving the sun shining as we made our back out to the trailhead. Unfortunately, there were a lot of soggy dog droppings to navigate all over the trail.

If you're sick of blue mountain, try here and bring your dogs. Bring your bear spray too, you may need it.

i was looking for a nice sandwich place and Market on Front stood out. I ordered a grilled cheese and they said it would take 20 mins so i left and came back. when i came back they had my food in a warmer to ensure it was kept hot. the sandwich itself was good as it was a good portion size and had a good flavor.

Kind of next. Sandwich was good. They hover over you when they ask you for a tip. They don’t really do much and it’s expensive. Took a long time to get the food. I appreciate your policies. I simply won’t return.

Dinner burrito was okay. Sweeter than I expected. My dad got the Market Club which was really good, it had some spice on the turkey or something that I liked. And my SO got the CBR Wrap which he also enjoyed and would get again

While the breakfast burritos are good, they really aren’t good enough for a consistent 20-30 minute wait, every time, regardless of a line. While in today, there was no line and no one waiting for food- yet they still said it would be a 20 min wait. If you are mindful of /tight on time, this isn’t the place to go and there are plenty of great options downtown with more efficient service. If you have nowhere to be, they are good.

I love their food and the shop is really cute. I've also gotten great service. But I have been there 4 times in the last few months and no matter how busy it is, it takes them 45 minutes to make a sandwich. There aren't that many tables and I can often find one easily. It shouldn't be that hard to service the number of tables they have in a reasonable timeframe. I would imagine they lose mega business this way. I will probably stop trying myself.

There are definitely more expensive places in the area so I’m not sure what others are complaining about. I paid $12 for my decently large sandwich, I got the Hot Hippie but substituted the cashew butter for the pesto. Definitely worth the stop, it was SO good. Best sandwich I’ve had in a while! Lots of sides to choose from and great cafe selections. If you think $12 for a sandwich or $9 for a burrito is expensive, maybe stay in Montana. Your mind would be blown by costs in other states.

We were visiting from out of town and stopped in after this place was recommended to us. When we arrived, there were only a few people ahead of us, and we were quoted about a 20 minute wait for two burritos, which we were happy to wait for. As we sat there, it started to get busier, but over the next 35 minutes, we watched at least 15–20 people who ordered after us receive their food. When we finally went up to check, we were told our order hadn’t even been started. At that point, we decided to leave without our food. My husband was the only Black man in the room, and it’s hard to believe this was just a coincidence. The experience left us extremely disappointed and uncomfortable. The only bright spot was the barista, who agreed the situation was ridiculous and kindly refunded our full order. Unfortunately, that small gesture couldn’t make up for the experience. We won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

One of the best of it's size I've seen any where! Great utilization of WWII era building, great displays and creeky floors only add to the experience. The museum is never crowded (unfortunately, and generally not even a constant stream of visitors) so you are left in the quiet with your thoughts to contemplate the artifacts.

We drove out from Butte ...... Everything online... And the official website said it was open.... It is not..... We arrived on Monday during the Summer..... And it was closed...... Very disappointed!!!...... I LOVE Supporting small places like this ...... But before you make the trip..... Talk to a human who is there....... Not what's online!!!

Great little military museum at Ft. Missoula. They were closed, but when I called to check their hours, the volunteer who answered offered to meet us and open the museum.

Try coming on winter and you can understand how the European war in WW 2 feels like..

Always an interesting visit

We were at the distillery before the Zootown Festival and rain brought everybody inside. Kaley was in the store by herself and rocked it. the place was jammed and she kept a level head and made it through without a hitch. The service and quality of drinks was so good we returned a second time and had another excellent experience with Colin behind the bar. Prices are good for hand crafted cocktails to boot. Highly recommend.

We visited December 2024. Fabulous! We loved the cocktails and the atmosphere. Staff were great. It’s cozy and just wonderful! Must do when in Missoula!

I was lucky enough to have accidentally sat down before half time because this place fills up fast after a Grizzlies game. Best drinks. Best environment. Great prices. Bartender was amazing!

Fun place to stop into for Happy Hour, or just an hour.... or so. The Cocktails are fun, inviting..... and we haven't yet had one we haven't completely enjoyed. We found this place on our first visit to Missoula some years back. We bought some spirits to bring home with us then. Each trip back to the area we have made a point to stop in for a cocktail, conversation and an additional bottle to go home with us. The fresh garnishes add to the overall experience. So long for now - see you on our next trek through.

Quite an interesting place, sure ... But strange: full of vodkas etc., but no beer.

Tried the bourbon and the single malt whiskey. Both were great but I especially enjoyed the single malt whiskey, which I found to stand up very well to larger branded scotch whiskey. Very nice atmosphere with friendly and knowledgeable staff.

This is an order at the counter kind of restaurant/bar. The line moved super quickly and there were plenty of seating options. I loved that they had a local cat rescue benefiting from sales the night we went (cool community involvement). I appreciated that they had non alcoholic beer options. We tried one of each of the tacos. They were all delicious, but our favorites were the chicken and poblano. The food came out very quickly and the staff was very kind.

We stopped here for a quick refreshment after floating the Clark Fort. After tasting three offerings which were lagers, I selected the Survey Says, and then my wife chose Peaks to Prairies. Both beers are made in house and I highly recommend trying them. We came at happy hour so the Pork Belly Tacos, which were fantastic or $1 off. We sat outside in the shade of the Guild building, and the atmosphere was quite enjoyable. Great service and very clean.

Friendly, quick service. Cold decent beer (I ordered Minerva hazy). Fresh, tasty food (I ordered a corn, bean avocado salad). I sat outside with my dog. Thanks for allowing pups, by the way. Price point is fair - $14 for both items. Conveniently located downtown amid all the cool kid shops.

Gild offers a very chill place to grab a cold one and a meal, whether at the open-air bar on the main level, in the chill lounge upstairs or downstairs in the arcade. Friendly, knowledgeable staff (shout out to Casey for his beer intel) serving up tasty brews and chews with a smile, even during a busy lunch rush. Great location in Missoula with classic view of the mountainside M. Really enjoyed the Minerva hazy (fresh and crisp) and the Close Range Blaster smash IPA (nice fruity hints without being just juice). We didn’t eat, but every meal we saw certainly looked tempting! Sit on the sidewalk and people watch, cozy up in the lounge, or just watch them work at the bar, great place to sit a while and enjoy Missoula.

Not listed as a brewery but they definitely brew their own beer and also have super cool flights. Just a 10 barrel system in the back he said. And they got tacos! Like just start with that lol. Homemade Montana grown blue corn tortillas too!

Absolutely loved the food here! The sauces they had for the tacos were my favorite, even have a bar! My boyfriend surprised me by going here for my very first time a few years ago, and it is a very cool spot in a great area in town to walk around and explore. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, it’s worth the stop. If you’re into old school games, such as Pac-Man and a more modernized Mexican style, I’d recommend this spot!! Plus, the bathrooms are pretty cool, as well.

I took my twin boys and their best friends to dinner last Saturday after the Grizz game. We are from the Flathead and I have been trying to get here for a long time. I have several pinball machines, buck hunter, golden tee and 1/2 a dozen other games, we got to see the game room before but it wasn't open due to COVID. So we finally got here the food and beer is fantastic, the service was great, everyone was super helpful even though the place was busy . If you haven't been here you order from the bar and everything is brought to you but you don't have a dedicated server. So our beers and sodas we got from the bar at 7:30 and then they brought our appetizers. Then our dinner took quite a while and I was like we don't have a server and they closed the bar on the top floor, who do we ask. I finally found a guy who was super nice and said he would find out what's up. Well then minutes later they brought all of our food, actually a few things never showed but the food was excellent and we were all in great spirits so we just rolled with it, it was probably 8:45. As the boys finished their meals I told them to go play some games and my wife and I would take care of the bill...plus get two more beers for game time. About the minute I got my beer the boys came to me and said they were kicked from the game room. Surprise I found out that kids weren't allowed to play after 9. I went down asked to let us play one game but was told that that was the rules. My boys later told me they never got to play a game. The gentleman in the game room actually gave them all bags of tokens so we could come back and play. The next morning the boys had an active we planned and after we would to take them to the cookie crumble but surprisingly they said they wanted to go to the Guild. We showed up at noon on Sunday.....the game room opens at 2 which is stated on arcade hours. Ugh, well I doubt I'll ever visit the Guild again , I think it's just not meant to be. Moral to the story; the atmosphere is great the food is good beer is great but make sure you realize the game room rules. I wish someone had said "hey I see you have a bunch of teenagers and if they are here to play the game just know the game room closes to them at 9pm. And yes there is a sign there, my son saw it as we were kick out. Have fun

My family LOVES this park, but it would be nice if parents would actually keep an eye somewhat on what their child(ern) and what they are doing. Other parents really don't like having to peel your child off of their's! It's a park not a daycare!

Lots to do here! Ropes course, playground, ball fields and a skate park. Silvers lagoon for fishing for the kids!

I would like to give a shout out to Lauren, Christine. Kayla and Sam. I came to the library completely clueless as to how in the world I was going to get so many different things done so quickly! Especially, having my 3 year old little girl as my sidekick. On the third floor I was met with Lauren and Christine. Both ladies made my experience and easy one. I'm so grateful for Lauren and Christine helping me email these documents to the library print them out have them notarized and then fax them where they needed to be sent. They made the entire process extremely smooth and stress-free! On the second floor Kayla notarized my document and she was an absolute sweetie pie. Lastly, there was Sam. My daughter really took to Sam during her extended playtime after all of our work was finished. Thank you Sam for giving my little one that attention that all kiddos seem to crave. You do your job so well. I dont recall seeing Sam in that science area before today, she is an absolute great addition! 👍 I love taking my 3-year-old daughter to the library! The second floor has so much to do for kiddos. Not only do they have a science Hands-On Museum, but they have a water play area as well as a pretend kitchen play area and much much more! Every time we go to the library we have a wonderful experience! And the slide is finally back open!

This is a gorgeous public library, filled with amenities and simply a wonderful place to spend time alone or with friends and family. The community of Missoula must be proud to have such a gem of a public space. I actually recommend this as a stop if you are in town.

Yae. the university library is much much better and peaceful ; those mountain views is beyond this world's new generation to even fathom.. even me 🤣 ha ha ha it gave a 4star because of it's beautiful scenery...

7/22/21: I love libraries. Missoula Public Library is beautifully designed. I'm especially impressed with their children's interactive area. The meeting spaces on the top floor is very spacious and the windows bring in so much natural light. I saw quite a few reading areas and work stations. Very thoughtful designed.

The kids level in the new library is extraordinary!!! The spectrum science area fascinated our littles. The live demonstration were engaging and educational. The water play section, magnet wall, massive light bright and wooden store play area were some of the additional hits with the 2 & 6 year old. Enjoyed the large family restooms with changing tables. The under building parking was also a major plus. Sign says masks required but is not enforced. Hand sanatizer avalible throughout.

Wow. I am so proud of our new library. You can tell a lot of thought and planning has gone into this facility. The architecture and design was eye candy for me. Beautiful spaces, truly. They have a great area for kids to read, imagine and play. There's a kitchen demo area to have cooking classes and of course loads of cooking books. I love that there was a lot of space for kids to spread out with books.. Also a kids museum with hands on, interaction learning displays. Tons of computers, gaming and media areas. A great space for reading books to groups even. There's study rooms, meeting rooms and class rooms.They have in place some summer camps to learn video,, script making etc. There is a really neat place to work with Lazer printers and things. You want to chill with a book you can because they have areas to relax, in doors and outdoors with great views. With covid a lot of their seating is roped off though, for now. I hope that changes some day. They also are letting no more than a hundred people in at a time, for covid safety. It was nice because it was never super crowed in any area I was ever in. I started day dreaming like how cool it would be to have a whole floor that was like open art studios, where you could walk through and see people painting etc. Then plenty of walls to display art to look at also. Even without that, I love this library and can't wait to go back.

An older blonde short haired lady insisted to help me set up my library card, and she was very rude and condescending. She was saying I shpuld set up a library card in great falls where I live but I wanted one on missoula too. She was insisting I should have a local residence when I know it's montana state residence for public libraries. She was working the first floor.

Our second play we’ve seen with MCT and cannot wait to come back for more. The 2nd time we came to see A Christmas Story with our 6 week old and the staff was very kind and accommodating.

It was a wonderful memorial experience! The music was great! We listen to Hans Zimmers best!

This theatre is such a lovely asset to our community. I remember when it opened years ago. I have been to countless Productions at this theater, musicals and plays, and even some parties and a wedding. My grandma was always a season ticket holder, and when my grandpa passed, I became her theatre date. She can't go anymore, but we still get the same seats each season. Lots of fun memories in this magical place.

Five star rating for the workers who had to endure the confusion of when the concert was to begin and when the doors were to be opened. They kept calm and continued their job and duty at hand. As for the musicians they also did a five star rating presentation. For Fever who set up the concert and ticket sales. They needed to have the right time on the tickets to match the time on their schedule. The workers were informed wrongly. The concert was to start at 8:39 as stated on tickets. Not 9 that they informed the workers at Missoula Children’s theater. Caused a lot of un organization n stress

The Queen’s show replicated by Fever was absolutely fantastic! I didn’t think it could be done but the quartet proved me wrong. The 3 performances that I have attended have NOT disappointed me in any way, shape or form.

Intimate experience with some fantastic musicians playing some of the greatest tunes, ever!

Went in to get the title of my mom’s old vehicle changed over to my name, and Ted was super helpful and wonderful. I know nobody ever likes having to go to the courthouse, and he made our little trip effortless and even delightful.

A beautiful touristic place to visit if you’re touring Missoula!

A beautiful building in and out. I was in courtroom 3 and everything was restored to glory! The seats were the original though, so if you don't have a padded bottom bring a pillow for jury duty.

Given a day's notice before court date and asked for continuance ,only to be served again with verdict. Im a father and thought i had rights or at least the right to be heard. Best part it was all out of someone's lies and emotions the rulings were based on. Update, still no paperwork or any news of what i can and cant do! I finally got the text messages that prove this was based on a lie and nothing i can do about it! Good work Missoula district court, 👏

My legal name is Debborah Harp. My issues aren't with any of the employees at MC. My issues were all brought on by my decisions. My choices had consequences. Judge D. and the folks at district court, especially Donna, has been extremely understanding and never rude, as others here in Missoula reported.

Almost every lady that I have dealt with at the clerk of court office has been extremely rude, giving contradictory instructions, and just completely unhelpful in general. I've had them say things like "I'm assuming that you're case is a criminal case" while looking it up and told me "You don't understand what you're talking about", among requesting that they speak to my attorney instead of me because I "don't know what I'm doing". All of them have a mean condescending tone. I guarantee that next time I go in there, it's going to be exactly the same. Disgraceful.

When they had Judge Harkin there, it was a miserable experience. He refused to give a final ruling for many years in a custody case and it felt like he did it so it couldn't be appealed. Everyone suffered because of it. The justice system definitely feels completely broken.

Writing my review as an artist who is fortunate to be exhibiting at Radius. What a well run, gorgeous space. The inventory is excellent and displayed with real panache. Genuine owners and a superb staff who care greatly about selling and living with art. What a wonderful gallery to form a relationship with, as an artist and a collector.

If you visit ANY gallery in Montana, you must visit Radius Gallery. It is a beautiful, light-filled gallery containing art of all genres. The Holiday show in particular supports the arts and artists from across the region and state and in turn, gives visitors and collectors a unique opportunity to take home or gift a special piece of original art.

Lisa was very helpful and fun to work with as we were looking for a Native Artist work. We settled on a David Dragonfly piece that looks great in our home. Her experience is demonstrated by enthusiasm and professionalism. We think her gallery looks amazing this holiday season too.

Radius Gallery I find it very interesting and delightful I sense a spirit of free thinking art work.

The Dale Livezey collection is simply spectacular. The staff was friendly, welcoming, answered questions, and gave recommendations for other places to visit.

I recently purchased a gorgeous piece of porcelain artwork from Radius Gallery and the experience couldn’t have been better! They offer a plan to pay off your purchase over time…the customer service is amazing (warm & friendly)…and my piece had to be shipped. Seriously, I’ve never had a piece of art so carefully packed and secured in my life! You could have dropped the box off the Empire State Building and its precious cargo would have survived! This is a 5-star, top notch galley!

I frequently visit the Southgate Mall and wanted to share some feedback regarding the security. There seems to be only one unarmed guard on duty each day, which feels insufficient for a mall of this size. Additionally, I noticed the woman who appears to be the security manager spending a significant amount of time engaging in non-work-related activities. She was often seen walking around holding hands with a little girl, chatting with kiosk workers, watching videos on her phone, or relaxing in the massage chairs. While I understand the importance of being approachable, this behavior raises questions about professionalism and the ability to respond effectively in case of an emergency. I believe the mall would benefit from having more security personnel on duty and ensuring that the team remains focused and vigilant while on shift. A stronger security presence would not only make visitors feel safer but also help maintain a more professional environment. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I truly want Southgate Mall to be a safe and enjoyable place for everyone.

I use to enjoy going to the mall. It was a place where I can get lost in and forget about reality. What ruined it for me was the shoe cleaning people. They don’t understand that no means no and I don’t want my shoes to be cleaned. I understand that everybody has to make money somehow but come on. The mall needs to get on top of this ASAP!!! Overall the mall experience has been amazing. I’ve been coming here ever since I was a little kid. It’s just the fact that I don’t like to be bothered by those shoe cleaning people. Take their business somewhere else

This review is specifically for the cleaning team at the mall! Today is the day after Halloween, which was an absolute crazy amount of people and events. I walked back into the mall the next morning and everything was sparkling clean! It was so beautifully clean and everything was so neat and well placed (tables, chairs, etc ..) You have a wonderful staff who keeps such good care of the mall. I've seen them working hard every day definitely proud of everyone at our mall.

It's cool to me to see a mall anymore. There aren't as many as there used to be. This one is pretty awesome. Bigger then it looks from the outside and has plenty of stores to shop in. Definitely worth checking out.

Nice place! The stores are good, some eclectic in a good way. Compared suburban malls in larger Cities, this place is GREAT! It’s well maintained. It’s been updated recently. It’s activated by lots of happy people. It appears to be thriving. And, the stores are pretty darned good. Entirely in a good way, it has the feel of a mall like they did in the 1980s-1990s - but it’s contemporary/updated to current standards. If you’re waiting on “a shopper” and like history, go check out the historical photography of Missoula. There are 50+ large format high quality framed fotos in at least one of the corridors/hallways to the bathrooms. They’re far better and cooler than one might expect. I spent 20+ minutes enjoying them. Two more points: - The best massage I’ve found in Missoula is here in this mall. - The Isle of Misfits is my kids favorite toy store in the US (much better even than FAO Schwarz in NYC!¡!)

Not many Malls left in MT. But of those left this is the best. Only suggestion I would ever have, put a small bar at the Clock for Daddy Drop Off....Malls aren't our thing!

The absolute best gift store i have been too. Go check them out. They had the best assortment of stickers I have ever seen. This is on my must see list! Great employees aswell..

We’ve stopped by this shop on a few different trips to Missoula, and it never disappoints. They always have such a fun and unique selection of jewelry, posters, health and beauty products, DVDs, everything. We've found some of our favorite vinyls, coasters, hand lotions, posters, etc. here.

So fun and nice. A great energy and smell. We always have a good time. Everytime I go with my boyfriend it turns into a date from how fun it is.

Love the variety and nostalgia around every corner! There is something for everyone. Jolene (the cat) is so sweet also. I could spend a whole day in this store easily.

An interesting store to stop by. Many unique items and funny products. I actually bought a t-shirt here with some cool design. More like a fun place for teen agers and college students, rather than a tourist gift shop. A parking lot is available but pretty full.

Neat spot with an eclectic selection of doo-dads. Decent variety of new vinyl, t-shirts, etc. A fun place to just wander around.

I knew the store was huge and eclectic and I was still shocked at just how big and how eclectic it really is. Never quite seen anything else like it before! If you’re lucky you can pet some cats while you search for the perfect items.

Love this trail. Been doing it on a daily basis while visiting Missoula. I would say 15-30 min hike (195m elevation gain; 1.4km distance one way) to the M sign. Amazing views of Missoula, the university, and of course the surrounding mountains!

What an awesome trail! I would say moderate but we’re not from the area so maybe the elevation made it harder for us. Benches along the way at every few switchbacks so plenty of chances to rest. Everyone was super nice and courteous as well. All in all awesome trail and view. Be sure to check out the mine if you have time.

This is a great hiking trail just at the edge of town, just behind the university of Montana. The trail is well established and maintained, and isn't terribly long to complete. The views on the way up are great, with a nice view of the university and Missoula. It is a pretty good work out as you do have a 600ish foot climb to the M. A very nice way to spend an hour or two and enjoy a great hike and views of the town. There are some plaques at the M to read and a few tiles at the bottom from supporters and sponsors of the trail.

Each switchback is a different length and can be strenuous, but enjoyable with lots of benches to take breaks. I would recommend parking in Phyllis Washington park. it only takes three switchbacks to get a pretty view and even if you don't finish the hike, it is still very worth it.

First time up to the top with Sentinel Hill Climb. Very steep and challenging terrain. Lots of vertical. Great views of Missoula

Moderately challenging hike for me but the path was an easy walk. Mount Sentinel has 11 switchbacks to the M and plenty of benches if needed. The views are beautiful of the valley and University of Montana. 3/4 mile to the M but you can take other trails to the very top of Mount Sentinel and it is 1 3/4 to the very top. There are restrooms, plenty of parking and a water fountain at the bottom.

Loved the M trail! Great views, and the path was easy to walk. Definitely a climb, but manageable with all the benches along the way to catch your breath if needed, and to soak in the views. If you're up for a bigger challenge, keep heading past the M - you'll find an old copper mine, and there are 3 different paths to the very top. The M was about 40 minutes to the top, and to the very top of Mount Sentinel it took me about 2 hours (after backing down 2 steeper routes and choosing the longer, but more moderate path.

The fact that my son and I have traveled the 2,500 miles from Massachusetts to Missoula, MT five out of the last six years to fly fish with Chase speaks volumes. Best guide I’ve ever had!! Chase is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He put us onto some of the biggest fish of our lives. Big browns, big rainbows and an all around great day. Already reserved our next trip!

Chase did an awesome job of putting us on fish. He’s a world class guide. Very clear on instructions and tips to put more fish on the boat. Caught a handful of rainbow trout, 2 bull trout, cut throat and a couple of white fish. Awesome half day float! Will definitely be coming back.

I've been a loyal lunch customer, and the salads are consistently fresh and excellent—always a highlight. However, I came in for dinner tonight though 11/18 and the experience was drastically different. I ordered the chopped Mediterranean salad and found that several key ingredients, like the chickpeas, feta ,and red onions, were missing entirely. Furthermore, the portion size was noticeably smaller than what I've received during lunch, and the overall presentation was less appealing. I hope the dinner service can align with the high quality and generous portions I've come to expect at lunchtime

Fantastic atmosphere. Pizza was great. Salad was great. Price was fair. Would absolutely go back.

Ordered takeout from Biga for the first time and was excited to try it. Ordered a half Sicilian and half flathead cherry with some cheese bread. Didn’t look in the box when I picked it up (should have, that’s my bad), got home and it turned out to be some type of squash pizza that was definitely not what I ordered. The cherry side was good though, and the cheese bread was decent but would have been better if it wasn’t missing the sauce that it’s supposed to come with. Probably won’t order takeout again, was really expensive for only getting half of what I ordered.

Amazing gluten free pizza! Expect to wait, but go next door and have a drink…it’s definitely worth the wait!

Got the maple chipotle bacon sweet potato pie. Gluten free with dairy free cheese. Crust is hand made gluten free and was incredible. Will definitely be coming back if only just to buy the crust

When the pizza is done it’s amazing but when the dough/crust is flat as a pancake in other words it hasn’t risen it’s blah! It has happened so many times that we stopped ordering. Periodically, we go back to see if the dough situation has been resolved but nope it happened this last Friday. For the price point I get angry that they choose to deliver flat pizzas. I have sent messages to biga with photos and received discount codes and apologies but the issue remains as they still send out inferior quality pizzas. When they get it right it really is the best pizza in town when they don’t which is most of the time for delivery it sucks.

Travelled to Missoula from Calgary to see a 2 night stint of Ween playing the Kettlehouse Amphitheatre in 2024. But I truly wanted to stay longer so I could try more BIGA pizzas! Cheers to the kind folks I met here, and throughout the city! Will definitely be back!

I ordered the half slab of ribs, with a side of coleslaw and deviled egg potato salad. I was also able to add a 1/4 pound of any other meat choice, and it was recommended that I try the turkey. My wife ordered the Briske sandwich and baked beans. She told me both were very enjoyable. We dined inside, however there is outside seating as well. The ribs were moist and had a fantastic flavor, the turkey was extremely moist and also had a very good smoky flavor. Final meat choice, beef brisket was tender and flavorful. I have enjoyed potato salad and coleslaw at many different restaurants, and think that this potato salad was the best, hands-down. There is a wide selection of beer offerings, craft (local) and national brands. And soft drink offerings, in cans or fountain. Our food was delivered to our table in just under five minutes.

Had an amazing experience here. The service was amazing and everybody was so nice. They take pride in all of their preparation of their meat. We ordered several different cuts to try, and although they were sold out of the burnt ends, we were not disappointed. Had an incredible experience and we recommend this restaurant to everybody.

You can tell from the smell the second you walk in the door that this place is going to be good. I got the half rack of ribs (which comes with two sides), and it was amazing. Plenty of food; I could have easily shared with someone else. The BBQ sauce was spectacular!

3 of us got the Pit Master Platter at the recommendation of the cashier and it was perfect. He asked if we was hungry and if we wanted leftovers and we said yes. Awesome little place with amazing employees. I will definitely be back and recommend this place to others.

The food was great here. I got there just before close and they were out of a lot of things which is kind of a good sign. I got the spicy brisket and the ribs. They were both bomb. The ribs were fall off the bone. I really like the sauces that they got on the table personally I like the vinegar based North Carolina. Very good barbecue I think it's probably top five in my book.

Stopped by here on our trip. Overall food was good. I got the burnt ends and it could have been warmer. Service was great! Do yourself a favor and checkout the dinosaur inspired bathroom. You will thank me later.

Loved the Pork Rib/Burnt Ends Plate + Deviled Egg Potato Salad, I visited from California + definitely wasn't disappointed with this place. Good meats, sides were excellent, sauces were legit. If ever in Missoula, check them out!

How is this place rated so high? I've tried it a few times over the last couple years, hoping each time that the last experience was a fluke. No such luck. Each time, it's a bland bowl of flavorless rice, with a few black beans, a COUPLE shreds of meat, and some tiny amounts of whatever "sides" and sauces they allow you to get (and I ordered everything I was able to get for the base price). Not sure if they're manipulating these ratings or what, but the food is nowhere near as good as the score would suggest.

I just bought $37.40 worth of food to be delivered by Uber Eats. Ordered Feijoada bowl, my entire bowl has maybe 10 black beans? Paid for 2 Pao, they highlighted on the ticket that it was out, no refund. My partner’s bowl was supposed to be a chicken bowl and there’s zero chicken. This place is a massive rip off and I can’t get my money back it seems. Super disappointing.

Great food in a casual takeout eatery. This chain was new to us, but the young guy couldn't actually answer any questions. Luckily, another older staff member stepped in and answered questions and made suggestions. Very tasty bowls and salads with multiple options. Great place for an easy, healthy meal. Highly recommend the tilapia.

Foods good but I could’ve paid for the small bowl instead of paying $15 for a large only to have it only filled halfway. It’s the amount of food that goes into a small bowl but I paid double the price. Should’ve saved the $15 and went to chipotle.

Popped in after a very long absence. Prices have doubled and portions reduced significantly. Rice bowl is 80% rice with a smidgen of meat, greens and sauce. Should've opted for a Sammy at JJs.

Came here because I saw it on so many "must eat lists" for Montana. The food was good. But my experience around getting the food was not great. I first tried to go to the location on Reserve to find it closed at 7:00 pm. Since I was only here for 1 more day, I didn't want to pass up the chance to eat here. When I finally got to this store around 7:50 pm, they were out of all rice and it was going to be a 20 minute wait for more. Closing time is 9:00 PM. Several other people left because of this, but like I said, I was already here so I had a bowl made with greens. There were flies buzzing around the register and self serve fountain. They were out of rice. Bottom line here is that the food was good, even though what I got was pretty much the only option. Everything was flavorful. Not sure I will be back if I'm in town again. It was a lot of effort for a mediocre experience but tasty food. They did the best they could that evening.

Delicious! I normally vacation to great falls but the great falls location is awful. Skimpy servings no flavor or just totally wrong orders so when I stopped here in missoula, I saw them making this and I knew it was going to be delicious. Didn't disappoint and actually super filling BUT there was hardly any meat in it so I mostly got full off of rice.

Beautiful atmosphere, incredible food and drinks, and fantastic service. I was highly impressed with my experience here, as well as the delicious tasting food. Our server was very friendly and informative, especially with the menu to ensure we knew what was what. We will definitely be making a trip back soon!

We stopped in last minute for a late night dinner on our way through town based solely on the fact that it was open. We absolutely loved everything we ordered and were so happily surprised with the high quality food, innovative and different dishes, presentation, and overall experience. We consider ourselves well traveled foodies and often find places lackluster… but we loved it all!

August 29, 2025: Went here for the first time last night. We are visiting from Philadelphia area in Pennsylvania. What a great find! At the bar, I had French Sauvignon Blanc that was delicious and my friend had a huge Negroni that took all night to drink. We each had salads and then the special roast purple cauliflower appetizer plus the hen of the woods mushroom tartlet. Both were amazing. The best thing of the night, though, was splitting the gnocchi entrée. Perfectly executed gnocchi pillows, and some sort of light delicious sauce with pea shoots and pecorino on top. I told our server it was one of the best things I have put in my mouth in a long long time! The pictures that I took don’t do the food justice, but I’ll include them just in case. Definitely 100% recommend this place.

Food was delicious as well as drinks. I know I had something with huckleberries in it ha ha. We did sit outside, which was nice. There’s not a view of the water which I had hoped for. I would definitely eat there again.

We came to Missoula for a concert! We stopped by for a drink and a bite! The service was fabulous. Cute blonde with a neck scarf nailed it! Best cocktail in town. Still dreaming of the gin and juice! The duck terrine was to die for! Refreshing to see an establishment that has it all! Thank you!

The best place in missoula for drinks and small plates. Never have a bad experience here and the staff is exceptional. I love the cozy couches and seating, the lighting, and atmosphere are all noteworthy. Coming from a larger city I can say this place definitely has a Montana vibe, with big city twist. Highly recommend.

We did not like the Fettuccine; it had a bitter taste (maybe too much lemon zest). We did not like paying a fee for using a credit card. Plonk charged us a fee to replace bread that fell on the floor. We liked the pink cocktail with water melon in it and the upstairs deck. The Ploughman's Board was moderately good.

Good wholesome fine dining in the heart of Missoula. The service was comically bad but I think she was new. I recommend going with the more exotic interesting dishes, the standard ones are very standard and probably not worth the price point.

I thought Scotty's was good, but for the price I wasn't super impressed. The 131 sandwich was decent, the Shakshuka was underwhelming. I still liked it. I'm just thinking I'll have to come back and try some different things on the menu. Perhaps I should've asked for what the server recommended! I'll be back, no worries.

Delicious food! Very nice setting and service was so speedy but warm and friendly. Must order the fried Brussels sprouts and cauliflower. Chicken breast was nothing special but perfectly cooked.

The brunch was amazing and these were the best eggs Benedict I've ever have. Also our server Kaelin was such a bright and cheery presence. Overall we had a great experience.

What an awesome spot! My buddy and I happened upon it in a hungover haze and were so happy we did. Their coffee is fantastic and the 131 is amazing! The potatoes are also perfectly cooked and seasoned. We also enjoyed chatting with Reed and the rest of the team. Highly recommend this spot.

Best Eggs Benedict in Missoula! This is the place. I have searched for really good eggs benedict everytime I come to Missoula. I finally found it. Scottys table locally sources their ingredients and meats. The atmosphere is upscale and feels grand from a bygone era. We made a reservation before coming and had no wait to be seated. The waitstaff was very friendly. The food was served more quickly than expected. The benedict is a rotating weekly special. This weeks was a smoked salmon with corn. I have a feeling every week will be a winner. Next time I come to see my son we will try Dinner here. This will be my go to place for breakfast from now on.

My husband and I have been traveling for a month and Scotty's Table is hands down our favorite eating experience so far. It is located in a historic building along the riverfront. My husband's pork chop pictured and my Chicken Souvlaki were outstanding. The bread served with herb butter was so good I could have made a meal on just that! We topped off the meal with lemon cheesecake with blueberry compote and whipped cream that I would also highly recommend. Best cheesecake I've ever had with a crunchy crisp graham cracker crust. The icing on the cake was the good service. We went to Scotty's two weeks ago and I wrote asking for a picture of my meal and sure enough Jenna a server, took the time to send a picture to me. I just wish Scotty's table would open up in Wisconsin!

Went in for lunch with a larger group and had a great time! Our server was very kind, attentive, and had good recommendations all around. It was on the pricey-er side for sure, though. I got a korean-inspired hot chicken sandwich that was pretty good but the home-made tater tots really steal the show!

Love this place! 45 minute wait to sit outside did not deter us from dining...we sat inside and our service was amazing. The young man waiting on us was home from Florida and he took great care of us. Our food was delicious and our beers, COLD. GRATEFUL for this meal break on our drive from Harrison, MT back to Spokane.

The food was incredible, especially the brussel sprouts, but the service was the worst I've had in a couple years. Whenever the bartender has to leave the bar during lunch time to wait tables, you know its going to be a bad time.

We’ve come to you for so many date nights and always loved the food. When my mother-in-law visited last month, the first place we took her was for a burger here. Tonight was different. I threw my back out three weeks ago, so my partner picked up our burgers. I always order medium rare and it’s usually pink and juicy, but this time everything was overcooked. The bacon was so hard it couldn’t be bitten, and the tater tots were rock solid, impossible to break apart. Gave up after three bites. The bottom of the container was a pool of grease. This was supposed to be a date night meal, but it was really disappointing. meal, but it ended up being a real disappointment. I honestly don’t think this food should have gone out without being checked first. We’ve had such great experiences before, which makes this letdown all the more surprising.

We sat in the bar because outside is farther from the kitchen, 🤣 Sydney was our server- bartender and she advised grilled chicken on my salad , it was sooo good with green goddess dressing ! Hubby has an amazing curry soup and drinks were top notch! Definitely recommend!

After an afternoon walking around Missoula, we worked up quite the appetite and decided to try this spot for the first time. Great choice—it did not disappoint. The hot honey chicken sandwich hit the spot perfectly, the beer list is solid, and the cocktails looked like they were crafted with real care. The menu has plenty to choose from, but do yourself a favor and get the tots—these are nothing like the ones from middle school lunch. This place is well worth a stop when you’re in town.

The waitress was okay nice, not very friendly. She only came when we didn't need her. We waited forever to order, forever for the check and then she never came back for the credit card when she saw us put it there as soon as she gave us the check. The hostess was really nice and sweet and the runner that brought out food was also a very friendly and nice. Unfortunately if they share their tips with the others they are getting cheated. None of the other employees cared to smile or act professional. The Wisconsin burger was a 3.5 out of 5. Not worth $20. The fries were good. The fried pickles were a fun new try but the batter could be better for my personal taste.

We visited December 2024. Good beer, staff were great! Neat bistro upstairs. They have an outdoor area also. We did not eat, just drank. Free parking lot and free on street parking.

Where the locals go!!! Do you like ice cold beer fresh off the tap? Oktoberfest foamy, stout beers! Try the fantastic artisan German foods and brewery, eat inside or outside in a family atmosphere court yard complete with games. Everything was great! Good service, good price!

My friends and I had a little time before a wedding, so we decided to stop here. Super cool place! We got the flight of all 10 beers to share, and it was a lot of fun. We all liked almost all of them, which is wild. We also got spaetzle and German potato salad, which were delightful. Would definitely go back!

Exceptional service, delicious food and , most importantly, great beer selection! We enjoyed our visit tremendously, had a great lunch and the beers’ flavors were unique and memorable. Highly recommend to stop by if you are in the area, you will opt be disappointed! Special shout out to the second floor team, including the owner, who went out of their way to make our visit a very special one, thank you!

My husband and I love German beer, what a spot! We ordered beer and food- both fantastic. Staff was very friendly. Perfect authentic German brewery!

I have been traveling a lot the last few years. It is always great to ask what food the server likes. Our server, without hesitation, recommended her favorite dish. It was Amazing! Also highly recommend the St Walter beer.

We 100% drove 9 hours for the sole purpose of visiting this place. We were not disappointed. The reason for the visit is that we are huge fans of German brewing and dabble in it ourselves. While we were visiting another German brewery in Colorado(Zwei) they’d talked about this place and their great beer, which is something to take note of from them as their beer is some of the best German beer I’ve had in the US. So we had a free weekend and made the trip. No matter how you get here, the drive is great and will not disappoint nor will the city. Bayern itself is a very fun atmosphere and is divided into the restaurant upstairs and the brewery downstairs, though you can get beer at both, we only went to the restaurant so not sure if you can get food at both but maybe. The staff were very friendly and did a great job. We were not crazily hungry but we were not passing up a chance at this food so we ordered one entree to split. When the food came out it was divided into two portions on two plates. That alone was awesome, but the food itself was perfect. If you are a fan of German dishes you are going to want to eat here as it was spot on. For beer we did the flight which includes everything they serve so that was perfect as we are both indecisive and want to try everything and that usually ends up being one of each beer in a normal size to accomplish that. The beer was very true to style and all seemed to follow a common base that was built on to spotlight the hops, process, yeast, or additional grain bill. All in all they did a great job on the beer an it is something to be appreciated. This will be a staple of any drive this direction in the future.

Fun hike with nice views at the top. The trail to the peak that goes past the L gets very narrow and overgrown with tall grasses/shrubs at times. Wear long pants or bring bug spray if you are concerned about ticks or biting insects

Good trail with many different views of the Missoula and east missoula mountains. If you go to the very top you can cross a plethora of different mountains peaks.

Beautiful hike all year around. In the winter of 2014 there were the largest elk herd I’ve ever seen up anywhere.

Charlotte was an awesome bartender, sorry mixologist... her drinks were so awesome that I had to have several, oh no... please can I have another. Stavenhoops Montana "speakeasy" Cowboy loud! I love it! Rence doing our food, the Tex Mix, spicy and great, Brian behind the bar really interesting and charming. Recommend it for sure!

My drink order was taken right away. After 25 minutes of waiting, the waitress floated over and apologized for the delay. There were ‘new bartenders.’ The bartenders were too busy getting distracted by other people at the bar, chatting and serving them first ahead of others of us who were there first. Menu looked fun and atmosphere was great. Never got my drink and walked out after 30 minutes. Unacceptable, if it’s Friday night please have your best working and save the training for a Tuesday afternoon..

We had a lovely time at Stave and Hoop this evening! This downstairs establishment's decor is totally fun and very well done. The playlist was great and at a volume that allowed for conversation, but also loud enough to drift into~ if that's your mood. The drink selection and beers (served in icy glasses!) on tap offerings were excellent. The bartender friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and willing to share information. We ordered a blue cheese burger with fries. It was excellently prepared, tender and delicious, the bun easy to eat without being soggy. The fries were finely cut and crisp. I also appreciated a good bar chair with a foot rail for comfort, something you rarely experience anymore. Try this place out! Lots of opportunities for trivia, live piano, jazz music, happy hour, wine specials, food specials, liquor specials and probably more...... Definitely more!! I've had many pleasant times at Staves and Hoops since I initially wrote this review. We have enjoyed superb craft cocktails made with totally fresh, clean tasting ingredients. The Industrial Monday cocktail menu is VERY tasty! The Break Even bottle is a fun way to try high end liquors. The Symphony event really highlighted their delicious catering served with excellent(and I have been told)rare whiskeys and the best wine I have ever had. Currently my favorite place in Missoula to bring friends, family and colleagues. Plus, I enjoy the privacy! Thank you to you all at Staves and Hoops.

When my wife and I go to missoula, and want a nightcap this is our go to place we love going on Saturdays for the live performance the food and drinks are fantastic, and the desserts are a must try.

We came to town for a visit and were pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this prohibition speakeasy! Our bartender made us some amazing martinis and she was so sweet. We will return our next time on this side of Montana! Thank you Grace!

I used to love this place for the variety of food, the ambiance, and the service and bartenders. However, since last year, there has been a mass exodus of bartenders, servers, and chefs, which has just changed how it feels. The only reason my friends go anymore is for Lando and trivia, but now that he does trivia elsewhere, we try to go there instead. The server/bartender turnover is high, the food is not always consistent, and the menu changes just haven't been wide enough. The servers are overwhelmed, and no one has the same information. Last night, my team and I were told to meet at 7 p.m. for trivia, but the website says 7:30 pm, and the Instagram story countdown made it 7 p.m. And when I arrived, I was told 7 pm. But it started at 7:30 pm. It has gone from 5 stars to maybe 2.5. Sad to see.

The atmosphere was perfect. My server, Mackenie, was friendly and attentive, and the entire serving staff checked in to ensure everything was prompt. No complaints at all.

My 16 year old son was in Montana on a school trip and went here looking for art. He received wonderful guidance from the staff, had an amazing experience, and ended up with a beautiful painting. Thank you so much for helping my son.
