Brewery
Brewpub
Cider bar
Double Mountain Brewery & Taproom is a popular brewery and pub that has been serving innovative craft beers since 2007. Located in Hood River, it offers a spacious brewpub-restaurant with a menu featuring wood-fired brick-oven pizzas, gourmet sandwiches, and other delicious pub grub. The venue regularly hosts live music events, making it a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike.
We went to the overlook location on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The music was flowing, the people were kind, and the food was delicious. We got the meatball sub that was a little spicy, but full of melty cheese, and on the best, perfectly crispy roll. The Caesar salad was insanely good, with just a few too many croutons. The kids cheese pizza was perfect, and the garlic chicken pizza had the best extra touch of fresh thyme. With a great selection of beer, ciders, and cocktails, this place is a gem. Sorry the photos aren’t the best because we ate before we took them.

Cozy atmosphere and very spacious interior. They had a bingo game going on with fun prizes. Not too crowded on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered the margarita and salami pizzas, and they had the perfect thin crust and high quality toppings. Service was fast and the staff were nice. We also ordered the spring mix salad with feta cheese which was a nice palette cleanser. They have clean and accessible bathrooms.
Kaleya K — Google review
Food was good. I added chicken to my salad but the chicken had zero seasoning or flavor. Would have been nice to have some sort of flavor. Service was sub-par. Never offered to refill my drink (I gladly would have had a second) and I waited nearly 10 minutes for a check even though I was clearly finished. Place wa only half full too. The screaming child placed next to my table for the last 15 minutes also killed the vibe. I would pass on this place.
Phippster — Google review
As an individual who lived and worked in New Haven CT, We couldn't pass up the opportunity to try their pizza that is noted on their menu to be New Haven style pizza while we were visiting our daughter in Oregon. The brewery is very big and we we seated immediately as we arrived mid afternoon. Our server, Jeremiah, was quickly at our table asking for our order. We ordered beers to give us time to look at the menu. In order to properly test their pizza against the New Haven style, we ordered the required cheese pie. We also ordered a pepperoni for one individual in our group. We were pleasantly surprised in how close it was to the coveted New Haven style pizza. It was thin crust , it has the proper amount of char underneath, however it was not up to standard on the flop test. It was a little bit too stiff. Otherwise it was really good 😊. I did find it odd though that when we asked who at the restaurant was in New Haven and brought back the pizza style... He said the owner who lives in Ohio??? Not quite sure how that figured in, but we are glad he brought it to Oregon.

Great Drinks, Tasty Snacks, and a Fun Atmosphere! While running errands in Hood River, we stopped at Double Mountain Brewery for a quick snack and drink. I was pleasantly surprised by their great selection of ciders, and the iced cider was absolutely delicious. We also ordered the loaded pretzel knots, which came topped with beer cheese, sour cream, green onions, and jalapeños—they were so good they disappeared in seconds! The staff, from the hostess to the waitress, was friendly and welcoming. The brewery itself is spacious, with plenty of seating and cool chalkboard art showcasing the beers they have had on tap over the years. They also have live music in the evenings, making it a great spot to hang out. I’ll definitely be back.
Filina M — Google review
As an Italian on holiday in the US, what can I say about this pizza...well, it was awesome. Crispy as it should be, excellent ingredients, it was a surprise. Not to talk about their beers, they were really stunning. Service, good, maybe a little "too fast" for us Europeans, but that's ok, I understand that's the US style. Prices? Not cheap for us compared to our standards, but as I say as usual, that's price to pay if you want to hang around the planet. Well done guys.
The S — Google review
If you’re ever in Hood River and looking for a cozy, welcoming spot for lunch, look no further than this absolute gem of a restaurant. Tucked into the charming downtown, this place has everything you’d want in a laid-back, feel-good dining experience: warm ambiance, friendly staff, and most importantly—incredible food. We stopped in for lunch on a whim, and honestly, we couldn’t have made a better choice. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with a relaxed, homey vibe—wooden tables, soft lighting, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay a while. The staff was super friendly, making us feel right at home without being overbearing. Now, let’s talk about the pizza—because WOW. We ordered the margarita and sausage pizza, and it was nothing short of amazing. The crust was that perfect balance of crispy and chewy, with just the right amount of char from the oven. The margarita pizza had a fresh, vibrant tomato sauce, gooey mozzarella, and just the right touch of basil to give it that classic Italian flavor. The sausage pizza? Next level. The sausage was flavorful and slightly spicy, pairing beautifully with the melty cheese and rich sauce. Every bite was packed with flavor, and before we knew it, the whole thing was gone. But what really made this lunch unforgettable was the guy with the crazy hat. We ended up playing a game with him—totally unexpected but so much fun. He had this wild, colorful hat that looked like something out of a fantasy novel, and he was just radiating good vibes. It’s not every day you get to enjoy incredible pizza while sharing laughs with a total stranger in an epic hat. Honestly, this place is a must-visit if you’re in Hood River. Whether you’re craving a fantastic pizza, looking for a cozy spot to relax, or just hoping for a fun, unexpected experience, you’ll find it here. Five stars, no question—can’t wait to come back!
Lucian K — Google review
The beers are a bit heavy on the flavor, especially the IPAs. But they do have a pretty large selection to choose from. The pizza was pretty good, got a classic pepperoni for the table.

Scenic Railroads
The Mount Hood Railroad offers a delightful journey through the stunning Hood River Valley, with the iconic Mount Hood serving as a picturesque backdrop. This heritage railway, steeped in history and dating back over a century, originally connected local farmers and foresters to vital markets. Today, it invites visitors to experience its scenic excursions aboard vintage train cars from the early 1900s.
The Mt. Hood Railroad Rail Bikes tour was so much fun! This is a great way to get outside and have fun with the family, or on a nice sunny day date. Krissy, the guide, is very bubbly and full of information. Whether you go on a hot summer day or a cooler sunny spring/autumn day, you will have a great time. The rail bikes have an electric assist that can do all the work or help keep you going so you don’t have to peddle so hard. Whatever way you choose to ride, you’re sure to see some beautiful scenery, learn some cool facts about the area, and taste some delicious treats at ‘The Fruit Company’ and at ‘Mt.Hood Winery’.
Ethan D — Google review
Fantastic train ride! Really well organized from start to finish. The train ride wasn’t too long at all, the scenery was gorgeous, the stop at the Fruit Company & the winery was so fun! Cannot recommend enough!
Flaherty R — Google review
Our group of four, (ages ranged as young as 12 to 35), had such a great time riding the train carts. Our host, Krissy was super funny, pleasant, and knowledgeable. We felt safe and had such a fun time. We stopped at the Fruit Company and checked out Mt Hood Winery during our excursion. The children are allowed in the winery, and we enjoyed the stunning view of Mt Hood as we relaxed before our journey back to the train station. The staff were kind and so helpful. We highly recommend checking them out! It’s a perfect summertime adventure.
Jordan B — Google review
The rail bikes were a great experience! A pretty awesome way to check out the area and get to the fruit company! Staff was awesome the whole way around Krissy was very entertaining throughout even when we failed the quiz! Gotta make sure to studdy up! :)
Mihai U — Google review
We had the chance to go on the rail bikes and my friend and I had an amazing time. The tour Guide was amazing and funny. Lots of good jokes and riddles. The Rail bikes were really fun and the views were beautiful. We got lucky and had a bright sunny day that was not to hot or cold. Though id love to go during a gloomy day and see the different scenery during that time. It was easy to ride. Peddling was fun and at times tough but the electric motor helped a lot. Overall, we had an amazing time and would LOVE to come back!
Adam R — Google review
My son got a gift card to the railroad for his birthday & we went on the fall train ride. We had an incredible time! I would say if you have a busy kid then I would bring activities to do on the train & pack snacks. I do love that you can bring your own food & bevs. They do have snacks, food & beverages (NA & alcoholic) for purchase on the train which was fun to have a mimosa as you’re looking at beautiful scenery. The stop at the fruit company & winery was well worth it! The taco truck at the winery was so freaking good! I would definitely do it again but maybe without kiddos. We had a good time with the kids but I would definitely be able to take a lot more in without a 3yo & 6mo. 10/10 5 stars, very good time nonetheless.

Visiting Portland Oregon. This is a Must visit spot !! We had an awesome experience. On this journey. The staff was very kind and attentive. The train itself interior and exterior very well-maintained seats are very comfortable. Also, the fact that you get to visit their personal Vineyard 🍇 and Warehouse , learned a little bit about the history. Got to taste some really good pears 🍐 Overall, a great experience!!
Tex I — Google review
The train ride was fun! The destination was simply another gift shop, a quick wine tasting and a hidden taco food truck. Suffice to say the 45 minute stop was disappointing. Nothing there for kids. The train staff and the ride was great though!

pFriem Family Brewers is a popular brewery located on the waterfront in Hood River, Oregon. It is known for its housemade craft beers and light bites, as well as offering apparel, gifts, and growlers. The brewery has garnered acclaim for its impeccable sours and crisp ales influenced by German, Belgian, and American brewing traditions.
We live in the Portland metro area and my wife visited the Hood River location 7 months ago with all her girlfriends. She brought me along this time. Lucky me 😄 We are looking forward to trying the Milwaukie outpost soon. Our server Tami was absolutely delightful! The food was on point, looking amazing and super delicious too. Would definitely recommend anybody to visit. There are a lot of options for gluten-free food, which I am grateful ❗ Hmm ..If you made a gluten-free beer option I would give you 10 Stars 🤩
Greg P — Google review
We are so glad we found this spot! Came here with our large dog who they were happy to have. Food was delicious- the elote salad with chicken was so good along with the pimento cheese burger, you can taste the fresh ingredients. Beer was also delicious, got the fresh hope pale. Camille G was our server and she was excellent!! Gave us wonderful travel recommendations and even better service. A must try place, especially if traveling with your furry friend!
Baelei W — Google review
We’ve been wanting to come here for years, and it did not disappoint. Obviously, the beers were amazing and the food was so good. Whatever I was expecting - this exceeded it. I had the jagerschnitzel, which I have to have every time I see it anywhere. It literally was the best Ive ever had. Better than grandmas. (Sshh) The eating area was smaller than expected, but it was welcome. It is a brewery, not a restaurant, and the smaller area made it seem more intimate and special. We bought some beers we haven’t found at home. Our waiter was personable and great at his job. Definitely will be back and bringing friends.
Stacy — Google review
Loved this brewery!! Great location right along the river within walking distance to the park across the street. Great staff. Food was incredible- gluten free fish and chips- I was thrilled! Our waitress was also phenomenal!
Meghann V — Google review
Popular with knowledgeable servers and a variety of seasonal pours. Pub food is above average with atypical items such as green chili verde as well as typical dishes like fish and chips. A map on the menu shows where they have sourced ingredients regionally. For beer enthusiasts, this is the place in Hood River.
Maria M — Google review
pFriem always has some interestingly flavored beers. So it is great to get a flight when you come. They also serve up delicious food. We got the sausage links and braised Verde pork. Both excellent options but if you go, get the pork. It was delicious
Brett G — Google review
What a great place! Had the Czech dark pilsner and the Oktoberfest, both were excellent! And the food.... omg the food.... Had the special, sauerbraten, and it was melt in your mouth delicious. Not as good as my Oma's, but she was born and raised in Germany, so that's a tough bar. Absolutely go drink this beer and eat this food!
Mike R — Google review
I love Fries beer and buy it back in Portland but the brewery highlight really is the food! I had the jerseys chicken sandwich and my friend had one of the specials which was pork shoulder wrap. Both dishes were amazing. I love that they also had side option of watermelon, something lighter than fries. Service is amazing and our server was super helpful with order recommendations. I wish I remembered to take a pic of the food but we dug right in I will definitely be back next time im in Hood River. If youre going for lunch id recommend going slightly early like 11-1130am because a little after 12pm there was a line/wait list to get in. I totally understand why.

Ferment Brewing Company is a modern brewery located on the Columbia River waterfront, established in 2018. It offers a wide selection of ales, lagers, stouts, and specialty brews. In addition to its impressive beer menu, Ferment also serves kombucha cocktails, hot cocktails, cider, and wine. The brewery features a second-floor pub and patio with cozy yurts during winter. Visitors can enjoy Mediterranean plates alongside their drinks while taking in the scenic waterfront views.
What do you want today? Great views? Stylish deck? Just the finest upscale pub food at great prices? Oh, you want world class beer brewed by absolute wizards? Not enough yet? Caring kind staff that are your new friends? Go to Ferment.

Great place to grab food and beer on a nice day. Sit out on the patio and enjoy the beautiful view and delicious food. Grab some of the amazing food, chicken sandwich and burgers are highly recommended. They also have some decent salad options for those looking for something lighter. Was also happy to find a brewery that serves beer in 10oz glasses for those looking for a smaller sip of beer. Speaking of beer, they have a great selection, but I'm partial to the Czech pilsner, one of the best! If you're in Hood River or just passing through on the way to Portland, stop here and spend an hour.
Mark S — Google review
Stopped by during a roadtrip. Great spot overlooking the river. Food was great and not just boring, conventional bar food. We had a spinach beet salad and it was amazingly dressed with Dijon vinaigrette. Felt a bit rushed to finish my beer/food by the staff, but overall good experience.
Felicity — Google review
Awesome spot right on the water in Hood River. The view from the patio is hard to beat — lots of seating, fire pits, and just a chill atmosphere overall. Great place to relax after a hike or a day out on the river. I had the falafel banh mi, which was way better than I expected from a brewery kitchen — super flavorful, fresh, and the bread was perfect. Beer-wise, I tried the Bright West IPA and The Sentinel — both were excellent in totally different ways. Bright West was crisp and easy drinking, and The Sentinel had more depth and a nice maltiness to balance it out. Service was friendly and low-key, and the space itself is really clean and modern without trying too hard. It's got a laid-back but well-thought-out vibe. Definitely a place I'd come back to
Sid — Google review
Quality food and AMAZING service. There are PLENTY of delicious vegan and omnivorous options for apps and entrees, enhanced by a stunning view of the river. We ll got different things to eat and drink and we were all very happy. Paige at the bar was especially helpful, friendly and patient. She took our dietary restrictions seriously and guided us through the menu. I hope management sees this and extends our family’s gratitude! P.S. the potato salad is VEGAN and it is excellent
Erik E — Google review
Great place to stop for lunch. Dog friendly with delicious beer and good food. The gas firepit outdoors is very cool. We'll definitely go back. The downside is that they have a limited food menu and it's walk up ordering and pick up.
Audrey D — Google review
Try the Fro-yo Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich! It’s delicious! There is indoor seating, and outdoor seating with a huge fire pit. My group also enjoyed the brussel sprouts, French fries, grilled cheese! Although it was busy when we went, staff handled it well. My cookie sandwich was fast and the rest of the food came out in a reasonable timeframe for the number of customers there.
Derrick L — Google review
10/10 atmosphere. 2nd floor has large patio with fire pit for dogs. Order at the window so you don't have to leave your pup. Inside no dogs. I had the blueberry mocktail and Falafel Bahn Mi. The mocktail could have been a little sweeter. And I didn't love the Falafel (Minimalist Baker Falafel has ruined all Falafel for me!) But the bun and sauce was amazing. It was very rich and I was worried I might get an upset after but I didn't! Yay! I eat a blander, low greasy/butter diet, so a lot of restaurant food doesn't sit well with me. But this was ok! Lots of 3 hour street parking but it was Monday during off season. Definitely would go back!

This place is beautiful, well maintained, and a must-see when visiting Hood River. There are 360° views with trails throughout. When the wind surfers are out, it's a big bonus. Definitely will be a regular stop for us.

There is a big open area with shops and restaurants. Plenty of area to room. Kids playground. Wind surfers are fun to watch.

Amazing location for a picnic! There’s ample parking spot. If you don’t find a spot near the park you can find a spot a block away at the commercial zone near the restaurants
Ashutosh B — Google review
Lots of breweries and small eating venues. Parking is a pain . Adding new lots but all make you pay. Parking at the " hook costs money as well. Its a nice place other than the smell from the sewer treatment plant to the west nd the Tofu factory in the middle. Just be prepared for lots of people. Especially on event weekends. Its a world renowned place for windsurfers.

Such a beautiful park. There is so much to do from swimming to kayaking to the children's playground. There are public restrooms but they were not very well maintained, so that was the only downside. So many food trucks and dining options around that we didn't have a problem there. The park itself is very clean and well maintained. A plus for tesla owners is that there is a supercharger right across the street from it.

The History Museum of Hood River County, located across from the marina, offers a unique opportunity to delve into the area's rich history. The museum features exhibitions and artifacts specific to the Gorge, including local inventions and even the first windsurfing board. Despite being small in size, it provides a well-thought-out experience for visitors interested in learning about Hood River's local history.
For only $5 admission this museum was a wonderful time!!! The museum curator was extremely knowledgeable and kind. Plenty to see, we spent almost an hour in there, but definitely could have spent more. And we were the only ones in there! We recommend to anyone in Hood River. We came from Tacoma!
Dasia G — Google review
Well worth the entry fee. The videos of Indigenous people of the Columbia River was well done along with the various displays. Luhr Jensen hall brought back nice memories and historical insights. Agricultural and windsurfing displays along with paintings of Mnt. Hood were not to be missed.
Rick S — Google review
Exciting exhibits with a timely and informative nature! Specially, the exhibits and public talk series on the history of wind related sports in the Gorge was amazing! It brought out the pioneers of technique and inventors of equipment in a series of talks that attracted 70-90 locals to each event! The museum displays some of the equipment going back 50+ years!
Michael L — Google review
Checked out this museum on the start of a short central Oregon history tour. The museum is fine, but it is relatively small, especially for $8. Fort Dalles and especially the museum in Fossil seemed more interesting and worth the time and cost. I've been to Hood River many times and this was the first time I visited the museum. I'll probably wait another number of years before I return.
Ryan K — Google review
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I visited the museum in Hood River and was pleasantly surprised by the small details that made the experience memorable! They had the most ornate fridge magnet of Oregon I've ever seen – a must-buy souvenir. The bathrooms were incredibly clean and easily accessible, which was a huge plus. I also appreciated the clear signage on the door; it was a lovely sight and made everything much easier to navigate. Highly recommend stopping by!
Tawneya H — Google review
This is a small, but well-thought-out, local museum. While not posted, an admission discount is available to active-duty military members only--veterans do not qualify. Lack of resources prevents necessary operational maintenance on some of the exhibits. That aside, we enjoyed our 1½-hour visit and do recommend it if you find yourself in the Hood River area.

This is our go-to spot anytime we are in the Columbia River Gorge area. And the salmon fish and chips are my go-to meal! Especially after a day of hiking. And the sweet potato waffle fries- yum! Tap list is great too, lots of options for anyone. Vibes are great too. Service was friendly and our food came out quick. They are efficient and we always love coming back here. Sit outside on their patio for even better views of the water on a nice day! Lots of street parking a huge lot across the street from it too.

What a great spot for lunch and a beer! I have always enjoyed the Full Sail line-up, so it was a treat to stop in and have a beer. As an added bonus, the food is EXCELLENT! The Korean BBQ Fried Chicken Sanwich was so good! The Full Sail burger was also great! Super friendly staff, and great views of the river. Great place, cool town, we will definitely be back! Also, if you like fly fishing, dont forget to check out the Big Y Fly Company right next door!

This place has a good variety of IPA's, ales, and stouts. The presentation on the beer flight is amazing. The staff are kind and the there is a phenomenal view of the Columbia River.

Great food to complement the beers. Wish we had time to go on the brewery tour. Salmon fish and chips was very good and quite a portion of excellent fries. The beer Mac and cheese was great as well. Can't wait to try other items next time.

23.5 years ago was my first date with my wife at Full Sail. She drank dark beer. I knew she was a keeper. Speaking of keeper, I hope they keep the fish (salmon) and chips. I love their tartar sauce. The caprese sandwich is a great selection for those who need a vegan or vegetarian option. Full Sail is a great spot when you are at the windsurfing capitol of the world! Enjoy.

Beautiful, organized and clean event site. There are plenty of trash cans & bathrooms on site. The views are the best part of the beautiful scenery!!

Nice chill area to swim or sun bathe with close proximity to good food. Water is nice and not too cold during summer. And you can swim pretty far out and it's not too deep. When it's windy, you can also see tons of people kite surfing. And the playgrounds nearby are quaint and have tons of kids
Deedee C — Google review
Nice place to wing foil. Mostly suited for beginners. Grassy rigging area and clean bathrooms. Not much shade. The port of Hood River charges 2.75/hr parking but it’s nice being very close to launch. The annoying downside is when they’re (often) giving wave runner assisted lessons, they’re zipping in and out of the same launch as everyone else and they can be a menace. The really should relocate the wave runners.
Mark M — Google review
Absolutely stunning place to come on summer evenings. A lot of people do kite surfing and kayaking and just watching them itself is a lot of fun. Highly recommend kayaking, if nothing else. Beautiful Breeze and great picnic area to enjoy a lazy day.

We have such an awesome market!! I love getting everything in season! Every stand offers their best produce/products! I love getting creative with meals from their great selection of produce and if you eat meat they have a great stand as well! I also love stopping at Guerras, their seasonigs are awesome!! Come support all the vendors as they are all equally amazing!

This place is wonderful. Everyone is nice. The only thing I do not like is that the city charges for parking it should be free. Also they have lots of organic stuff non-GMO you could find hearts oxtails livers bones for broth. I really really wish I could get some raw milk here that would be perfect Also, some live animals that you could pick out & they could butcher for you while you're browsing I would love to pick out a chicken & then come back & get fresh if you are looking to improve your health & not feel your body full of toxic poison that the government Is trying to put in you every day. This is the place to go.

Bridge
The Hood River-White Salmon Interstate Bridge, connecting Oregon and Washington State, is a vital interstate connector. The bridge offers stunning views of Mount Hood and provides access to attractions like the Maryhill Winery and Art Museum. While there is a nominal toll for crossing, it's worth it for the experience of visiting places like Everybodys Brewing on the Washington side. However, it's important to note that the bridge is not suitable for motorhomes.
I don’t know why people think this is so sketchy and scary. The speed limit is 15mph, we were going with the flow of traffic which was about 30-35mph. Yes, you’re driving on metal grates so it can pull a little bit, but you’re not going fast enough for anything dangerous to happen. The toll is now $3.50 each way, as of 05/25/2025 and it’s a very convenient way of being able to cross the bridge without having to go all the way down and around
Mariah M — Google review
My wife said to give it 3 stars, but I'm gonna give it one star. The most scariest bridge I've ever driven across and as previous reviewers have said the bridge is made up of metal slats that when you drive over them, the car moves side to side my wife took the video as I drove the speed limit is 15 miles an hour. There's a reason for that I could just imagine somebody trying to fly over this bridge at 50 plus plunge into the Columbia river gorge. This place, it's very scary. I highly recommend going 20 miles up the road over the bridge of the gods. It feels much more stable but if you do go over the Hood River bridge, I know a great restaurant right up the road. You need a break after riding this one!!😪😪
LAND R — Google review
Even this Bridge hast only Metal Pilates, it is still safe to Drive. You can safe some additional fees, if you pay online before you get a call for action.
Ralf K — Google review
I couldn't understand why a bridge would get 3.0 rating before coming here. Now after driving on this seemingly dangerous bridge, I came back with my honest review: it's narrow, I mean REALLY NARROW. Just see the street view. I wouldn't ever come back to this bridge. Either go west to Bridge of the Gods, or go east to SR-197 for a toll free bridge.
Tianji W — Google review
Absolute joke with their billing. If you miss the 14 day window, even by one day the fees are intense. Over a hundred dollars for 3 trips across the bridge for paying on day 15.
Brandon O — Google review
The Hood River Bridge is a nice old bridge. It's the only bridge between Cascade Locks and The Dales, so it certainly serves its purpose. I have no trouble with the $2 toll to keep it in shape.
Andy S — Google review
SCAM BUSINESS!! Deleted my review and many others. It was 1.2 stars a few weeks ago. They billed me when I was in Europe and it went to collections!! Shame on you. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Someone needs to sue to Port, unethical scammers. Delete and I’ll repost.
Silvia N — Google review
Make sure you do your research online before crossing this bridge. The signs say you will be sent a bill when the booth is unmanned but if you actually wait for them to follow through on that rather than premptively seeking out a way to pay then you'll get a nice little administrative fee add on that basically doubles the cost of every crossing you made. What a scam.

I visited Soltice wood Fire pizza & bar from Tijuana, Mexico, and it was a great experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The restaurant is cozy, with tables inside and outside, perfect for any budget. I ordered the Coho Salmon pizza and the Siragusa Pear pizza, plus a pasta that was the monthly special and everything was 🤤 . The service was very fast and the waiters were super friendly. Also, the town of Hood River is beautiful, quiet, and a very nice place to walk and enjoy. I really recommend this restaurant if you want good food, a nice place, and great service. Definitely I will come back asap!

You might in fact take flight with how windy it is sitting on the patio. However, it can be very refreshing. The drinks are definitely a mix of interesting flavor combos and look bright and airy. The caesar salad was alright but the croutons were almost too tough to eat. The pizza is great! They also have a food truck around the corner that you can grab food and soft serve from. The waitress was very friendly and attentive to our needs and was sure to get our check very quickly, as we realized our parking was about to run out of time.

This place is so good!! We've been here 3 times now (drive down from Rochester WA, and each time we've gotten something different, a pizza each, a salad to share, and an appetizer and each of the things we have tried have been amazing! Haven't found anything we don't like! The only problem is now our local pizza place doesn't cut it even a little bit! The staff each time has been super friendly and wonderful and the space is really fun! Can't wait til next time!

The food was amazing! We ordered the arancini off the regular menu and a chanterelle mushroom tart off the seasonal specials menu. Both were fantastic. We ordered a siragusa pear pizza off the regular menu and a chanterelle and grape pizza off the seasonal specials menu. The flavors were perfect and the cook was spot on. The crust is so light and airy and has amazing flavor. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Hood River and plan on making it a regular visit when in town! A must try for sure and worth going out of your way to try!

We went here for lunch and had a great time! Definitely recommend making a reservation if you're going on a summer weekend — it can get busy. The weather was nice, so we sat outside. Service was friendly and the vibe was laid-back. We had the Margherita and Cremini pizzas — both were excellent, especially the Cremini, which I could’ve easily finished on my own. The Coconut Key Lime Pie was a perfect dessert to finish off the meal. Would definitely return!

Went up to Hood River for a day of enjoying wine and a beautiful day. Stopped at Marchesi Vineyards and Winery and had a wonderful time. Marchesi’s is in a spectacular location in the Columbia River Gorge and offers magnificent views. We were seated in a private lounge overlooking the vineyard and enjoyed some fine Italian wine. The wines were delicious the service was very friendly and professional. I would recommend if you’re in the Hood River area looking for a great place to relax and enjoy some wine with friends and or family Marchesi’s is a terrific place to go.

This winery is so lovely & enjoyable. There is a resident winery cat and dog that are so sweet and made our visit even better! The fire pit is cozy and made us feel so welcome. We can tell the owners put so much love into this place. Grape vines are very where, creating a perfect ambiance and separated each “cubby” where you can enjoy your own private space for wine tasting with your very own fire pit. The Pinot Grigio and all the red wines we tried were fantastic. Attentive staff and beautiful ambiance! Highly recommend!

Lovely wine. Lovely time. Beautiful "cabana-esque" tasting area (some come with fire pits for those cold PNW days/evenings) overlooking the vines. Wish we lived closer so we could come all the time!
Janice M — Google review
The wine is delicious, but the experience was anything but. There were 4 groups seated after we were seated, yet they had their flights and snack orders before our second pour. The small snack board took nearly 30 minutes to appear due to the need to let a different individual know we had put an order in. Our original person went on break after our first pour, I believe. We did get the small board after our third pour, and then received our fourth and final pour, as one was skipped. I completely understand breaks and making sure that club members are taken care of, but were we actually interested in the wine club, this would have killed it for us. Every person is a potential club member, and team communication is extremely important.

What an amazing atmosphere! You feel like you were transported to Italy. With fantastic wine (all with their own personal description/ story from the owner), wonderful service and an amazing view! My husband and I were visiting the area and had a bad experience with one of the wineries down the road due to them being not so pet friendly as they claimed so we looked for something else and came across this one and called explaining we had a little dog with us and the owner explained they are not just pet friendly but people friendly, kid friendly, they loved everyone! Once we arrived the owner even came and greeted us personally, giving our little dog a treat. We were thrilled! Oh and we got a little private booth overlooking the vineyard and wow what a view! I have the say the most beautiful vineyard I've personally ever been to and the wine was delicious! I personally recommend the Barbera 2020 for any red wine lovers. Our server was also extremely knowledgeable and friendly too! Overall if you're in the area, this is a MUST STOP!!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. My partner and I walked into Evoke Winery after celebrating our marriage application, hoping to enjoy a good glass of wine, but the experience was beyond disappointing. We sat at the bar for 20 minutes without being greeted or acknowledged. There was no one attending the bar, even though three ladies were seated to the right and a girl was on a computer nearby. It felt like we didn’t exist. The lack of customer service was shocking and ruined what should have been a special moment for us. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Cathedral Ridge Winery, named after the majestic Mt. Hood's Cathedral Ridge, is home to 13 local vineyards with diverse microclimates that yield a wide range of classic wine varietals. The owner and Cellarmaster, Robb Bell, employs traditional winemaking methods to craft 27 award-winning wines, catering to various palates.
I always enjoy wine tasting here. The wines are divine, and today, our attendant was especially helpful in finding a sweet wine in a region of dry wines for my friend. I've also been a member here in the past and loved the benefits, including wine delivery. They have vineyards and a large grassy lawn and garden area with views of Mt. Adam's and the gorge.

We stopped by to do a wine tasting here. While it looks very pretty. We did not stay or see more than the parking lot due to the fact that they advertised as “dog friendly” but they clearly are not. They limit the dogs to a small strip of grass with three metal tables several feet from the actual winery and across a parking lot. While I understand not wanting dogs on their property they should simply state that not pets are allowed so that people traveling with a pet don’t make the drive. Due to their lack of access to people with pets we were unable to even try their wine so I cannot state weather or not they are any good. Thankfully this is a very large winery area and we were able to be accommodated at another amazing location so thankfully the drive was not wasted.

Broder Øst is a trendy spot known for its Scandinavian breakfast and lunch offerings, as well as an impressive selection of aquavit, all served in a stylish setting. The restaurant offers a unique and upscale dining experience with its fresh and delicious Scandinavian-inspired dishes like smorrebrod, Swedish meatballs, and Swedish hash. It's described as the kind of place where you can enjoy Norwegian eggs and bacon instead of the usual fare.
The best breakfast experience I had during my trip to Colombia river gorge. This place is cozy and stylish and serves an amazing Swedish food. I had a Swedish breakfast board and loved every element of it. Rye bread, cheese, smoked trout and not too sweet granola yogurt- everything right to my taste! My husband loved his Swedish hash on a cute skillet as well. Nice place to have breakfast or brunch if you are in Hood River.

So cute! Love Broder in Portland, I was surprised to see it out here. Super cute and an easy yes for brunch. Tasty food and a nice variety of breakfast and lunch to keep everyone happy. One funny thing: The barista almost knocked me over when we were entering the space, and then he looked just mad the whole time and then he got our coffee orders wrong. Knocked a star for service, maybe he was just having a bad day. Everyone else was great. I like the location in the cute hotel. Sweet spot.

It is a nice place to have brunch at. The Scandinavian decore and menus are great. I had the Swedish meatballs which came with delicious breads and onion and cucumber pickles. I love how they focus on showcasing the fresh ingredients, rather than heavy sauces and added flavors. Note that they tend to get pretty busy on the weekend. We put our name on the list and waited for about 50 minutes.

Group of 6. For a mandatory 20% service charge, the waitress could've been more available. Food took a very long time to come out but was delicious and beautiful. The chicken sausage was fantastic, but the fritters were just okay. Would try again with just my spouse.
Meli H — Google review
Found out about this place on a Reddit thread and I cannot be happier that I did. Everything we had was absolutely amazing. Drinks: The drinks were well thought out, proper cocktails, not your typical brunch cocktails made with juice or just thrown in liquors. Who ever made the cocktail list knows there stuff. Made with Scandinavian liquors and flavors. Food: The food was also tasty and unique. They use bread from a local bakery that is made with sourdough starter and I cannot stress enough how obsessed I was with it. The burger was perfectly made! We ordered it with chevre which was a white saucey cheese situation I was not familiar with and made for a unique burger that I have not tried before. I might have ordered cheddar cheese instead, personal preference, but that does not mean the chevre was not worth trying… it was delicious. We fought over who got the last Swedish meatball, spectacular! The Danish pancakes were very tasty, warm, and fluffy… along with a lingonberry jam and lemon curd we had them as “dessert”, very grateful our server persuaded us to order the 7 piece instead of 4 piece order. Ambiance: - Very pet friendly! - Our server was kind and very efficient, I wish I got his name. - Music was great and at a perfect noise level for conversation while still enjoying jams. - We went during 4th of July, they told us they had a 30 minute wait and called us back within less than that for a table. I could tell they had open tables but were short staffed and thus were slow to seat people. I appreciate they did a phone call list (you can walk around the town and come back when its your turn) rather than jam people in and make you wait for food. This is clearly a place that knows their stuff and won’t sacrifice food and experience quality. -Shout out to Ian, he was extremely hospitable and friendly. We were trying to figure out where to go next after Hood River and he went out of his way to recommend next places to visit, including lodging and pulling out a map of the “Fruit Loop” and circling where we should go and what activities do where.

Great Brunch spot in hood River. We got lesfe breakfast with smoked Trout which was simplistic and kinda healthy 😁Swedish hash with smoked trout was also great. For drinks , we got an elderflower mimosa which was good but kinda overpriced. Swedish coffee was great. Overall a great place for Brunch! Drinks felt a little overpriced but food and the quality was great.

Phenomenal course- well maintained and beautifully designed this course is challanging enough to keep you engaged yet forgiving enough you won't get frustrated. The whole time you play you will be able to stop and take in the picturesque views of the cascades. The staff is great- helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The carts have the integrated GPS system other courses of like quality have. The GPS path warning system is more sensitive than most and at times annoyingly counter intuitive. It shut me down on the way to the cart path several times.

Indian Creek Golf Course in Hood River is an absolute stunner. From the moment you tee off you’re greeted by perfectly manicured greens and rolling fairways that play like a dream. The laid back atmosphere invites you to unwind, and the carts here are some of the nicest I’ve ever used. Beyond the course itself, the panoramic views of the Columbia River Gorge are simply breathtaking. I can’t recommend this hidden gem enough, so rearrange your schedule and make time to golf here.

Over all had a really solid experience. The atmosphere of the golf course was really pretty. We were greeted right away and they secured us nice outdoor seating almost right away. They had a nice back patio area with heaters so it was very cozy. The menu had a good variety and it was hard to make a choice. As I wasn't super hungry I opted for a bowl of clam chowder. And boy was the portion size HUGE! The flavor and consistency were good, although the potato chunks could have been diced down a little smaller. I was also able to try my friends seafood radiator and it had great flavor along with large shrimp and crab. Next time I come I will for sure give it a try. The staff was friendly and on top of it and took plates away as needed along with keeping on top of refreshments. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice relaxed dinner. I will for sure be back.

What a great golf course! We were in town from Florida on vacation and were amazed by the course conditions, the greens, and the views, especially of Mount Hood. The fairways and greens were some of the best we ever played, and we belong to a nice country club back in Tampa. I would recommend this course to anyone, thank you to all the staff, especially in the pro shop, for making our day wonderful.

Indian Creek golf course was in amazing shape. The crew does a wonderful job there. The staff is super friendly and it’s always a joy to go there to play. We even got the privilege of meeting the course designer today David Martin. We are already planning our next trip back there. Thanks to all the staff at Indian Creek golf course for making it such a wonderful day for us!

Beautiful course, not too long but ondulating greens make for challenge. Certainly it helps to know where to hit and to that extend it was a first course inside USA where yardage book was standard on all golf carts! Played with couple local members so that helped. Addition: if i can give six stars i would to try staff! During my play i left my wedge on the course and only found out when I got to Seattle. Called back and Matt K shipped to me at no cost! Absolutely dedicated and wonderful staff!

Course was in great shape. Pace of play was a little slow (4:40), but it was a great day. Afterwards, the restaurant was a different story... sadly.

KickStand Coffee & Kitchen is a popular hangout spot in Hood River, offering a unique combination of a coffee shop, bar, restaurant, and bike shop all in one place. Located just outside downtown on State Street towards the Heights, it's always buzzing with activity. The outdoor patio with fireplaces is perfect for live music nights and gatherings. This kid and dog-friendly spot also serves fresh donuts daily.
This is a versatile and fun place to enjoy a meal. The fried chicken is excellent whether it is served by itself or as a sandwich. The sauce and pickles and bun and greens are all spot on. Highly recommend. The "smash" burger I do have to take issue with. It does not seem to be a smash burger at all. In fact it seems like a prefab patty. If they had just not called it a smash burger I would give it a solid 4/5. All of the toppings were good, it was cooked perfectly, I love Cali gold style bbq sauce so it's a winner there, the bun is soft and delicious, greens are delicate and fresh, the bacon is thick and of great quality. It checks all of the boxes for a nice pub style burger but please don't feel the need to call it a smash burger because that, it most definitely is not. The fries here are also unique and good. Their shape makes me want to call them chips like in the British sense not Lays. They also gave us a house made bacon maple doughnut which I thought was cute. I've only been here a couple times but I am looking forward to trying the coffee and cocktails. I'm still giving 5 stars because I have so much respect for this establishment, but the nomenclature of the hamburger rubs me the wrong way.

Went for brunch around 9:30 on a Saturday. Not too busy with a nice fire pit outside to sit by. Iced Latte was decent but nothing crazy. Counter service, no table service other than bringing food to your table. Fried Chicken and Waffles were a 10/10. Crispy and juicy chicken with fantastic honey butter. Wife got the avocado toast, she gave it a 9/10. Goat cheese was a nice touch, would give it a 10/10 if it had some sort of sauce, like a balsamic glaze or something to that effect. Would happily go back again.

Three cheers for Kickstand! This place has to be my favorite vegan-friendly brunch spot in Hood River. Bonus points for bike culture, they are connected to a rad local bike shop too. If you are visiting, be sure to check out their Gorge Guide, it has lots of great ideas for activities in the area. Looking forward to coming back here on our next Hood River vacation

Outstanding!! I've been looking for a truly excellent burger in Portland for some time. Tried so many places, lots of good burgers, but extraordinary until today. The BBQ smash burger just blew me away. So much flavor. Perfectly cooked. Great bun. It hit all the marks. And these French fry petal things? Never seems these before and loved them. Also, the Elote guacamole was excellent too. House-made chips, great avocados, chipotle sauce. So good. I can't wait to go back.

Excellent food, terrible service. You will be asked to pay for food and tip before you are served. After delivering our food to the table, we never saw our server again unless you count the time I got up to go ask for a refill. No one ever came to the table to even ask how the food was. Word to the wise, don’t tip until after you are served.

Great experience. The Ricky Bobby is the play. Bloody Mary, yess. A little more salt in the food but you can just add it. Drip coffee is legit. Dog friendly is solid. And we don’t even have a dog.

Hidden Gem for foodies, with great gifts, and delicious (easy to make) recipe ideas! This is our favorite local shop for flavor enhancers, truffle chocolates, and rare spices. Our friends and family look forward to their infused olive oil and fresh variety of vinegars every year! The truffle oil is devine and only needs a small serving to flavor an entire dish. Great for baking, on salads, and as a dip, the flavors of Arome are a not-to-be-missed stop in downtown Hood River! Their rewards system is simple and easy, and the store has samples of their most popular flavors to try before you buy!

Cute little shop with perfectly curated items to bring your culinary creations to the next level. We bought some great seasoning salt to switch up our trout and tofu dishes. I was looking for some local floral flavored shrub and was immediately directed towards the elderflower whit balsamic. Highly recommend for a refreshing soda water beverage with some cucumber or mint. If you’re feeling really jazzy; soda water, gin, rosemary, and some black pepper with this stuff and a lemon peel is my true recommendation. As great as this shop is, the customer service is really what makes them special.

Beautiful artisan baked goods, fast and friendly, with a full espresso bar, wonderful home town atmosphere and super friendly staff. I got the Turkey chutney sandwich and the most delicious Everything croissant you could eat. I'll bet everything they serve is delicious.

I was driving home to Montana from California, and stopped in Hood River to pick up some breakfast and lunch, and let my dog stretch her legs. I decided to go out of my way to Pine Street Bakery, because I am a baked goods addict. We have a few good bakeries in Missoula, but this one knocked it out of the park. I bought a cardamom knot, ham & cheese croissant, cinnamon roll, and a loaf of 5-grain bread, all for $19. Now, I fancy myself a pretty good sweet bread baker (having devoted the pandemic to perfecting it, and gaining 15 lbs in the process), but the cardamom knot easily exceeded all my attempts. The crumb was amazing--gluten had great development, with a nice stretch. Not too sweet, and wonderful flavor. The bread ALSO had a great crumb, which is unusual for a whole grain bread. Makes amazing toast. I haven't tried the cinnamon bun yet. The only slight disappointment was the ham & cheese croissant. Not bad, but nothing special there. If I lived in Hood River I would become a blimp. It's definitely worth a stop and a little drive through town to stop here. Best bakery I've experienced in a long, long time.

this place is a consistent win. second time this year i’ve taken a family member from the midwest and on both occasions they liked all the options and i loved what i got. i didn’t get to get one of the calzone/hot pockets because it was a hot july day and i went for the cuban sandwich instead. it was so dope. this time i got this thing that was like a puff pastry pop tart from heaven and it was so delicious. next time anyone i know is visiting and rents a car (live in portland, also service industry) and wants to drive up the gorge i know where to go. your team of professionals is seriously badass and talented, mad respect to you. (in the future i would like one of those stromboli pizza roll ups though, i still live with the regret)

My husband and I stopped here for a quick coffee but ended up eating lunch too. They have a great selection of sandwiches, salads and a few fresh soups to choose from. I had the curry chicken salad. It was delicious, served with small slices of very fresh bread. My husband had the Cubano sandwich, he loved it. We enjoyed it so much I forgot to take photos, haha. He also had a mocha coffee and I had a cup of the daily brewed drip coffee. And we bought lemon cookies to bring home. The staff were all friendly, lots of spaces available to chat with friends or dine solo. There was seating outside, we look forward to sitting outside once it’s a bit warmer. Will definitely be back. Thank you!

No wonder this place is getting 5 star reviews. It was a great experience. The cinnamon roll was not soggy with frosting - light fluffy with a caramelized bottom. So different and tasty. Friendly, local, and delicious cafe and shop full of amazing local goodies. Came in for a quick breakfast, and in the process picked up some amazing organic teas, baked treats and fresh bread to take home. Spent a few hours working from my van while parked (hood street parking and relatively level), then decided to grab lunch here too. Tried the soup and their pizza. Soooo good, great portion size and reasonably priced. Everything tasted homemade and top quality. Their thumbprint cookies with local jam are the bomb. The almond croissant and pear pie I brought home to share with my boyfriend were so good. And the rye bread was the best we’ve tried locally while exploring all around the gorge. Best of all, the service was quick and friendly. Both servers/cashiers who helped me were awesome. Had a good chat with the gentleman who took my lunch order. They had a few vegan / plant based options and lots of vegetarian choices to pick from. They were willing to answer questions and check specific ingredients upon request. I came in during the weekday and the place wasn’t busy. Lots of room to spread and they have cute outside sitting. Looks like not sitting inside at the moment though but I suppose you could drink your coffee by the window.

Phelps Creek Tasting Room is a winery located conveniently next to the clubhouse at the Hood River club, offering a wide selection of wines that can be enjoyed by the glass. One of their notable offerings is the smoky Pinot Noir, which carries a unique flavor resulting from a 2017 wildfire in the area. The vineyard provides a beautiful view of Mt. Hood and features a sprawling uphill vineyard. Visitors can indulge in wine tasting while taking in the picturesque scenery.
We did the wine tasting with Taylor as our host and she took great care of us and did a great job explaining the wines. Every single wine tasted great and the place was cozy and nice. I especially liked the Phelps creek pioneer block Riesling and the petite Verdot. We had the charcuterie board, and the truffle goat cheese was my favorite. They even had blankets you could put on upon entering and couches upstairs. Would definitely recommend this place for wine tasting and charcuterie!

Our team of 16 had a wonderful evening at Phelps Creek Tasting Room. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the table decorations were simply sublime—elegant and thoughtfully arranged, adding a special touch to the night. The meal was delicious, beautifully presented, and paired perfectly with their excellent wines. Service was top notch—attentive, friendly, and seamless throughout. It was the ideal setting for a group gathering, and we left feeling relaxed and well taken care of. Highly recommend for any special occasion or team event.

This was such a delightful tasting room, as was our attendant today. She was very knowledgeable and helpful in finding a sweet wine for my friend. The Riesling dessert wine hit the mark! They also serve lunch of which we will have to give a try on our next visit. The outdoor space is very nice too.

Received a complimentary tasting card for two, with a value of 40$ (the cost of two tastings) while at a wine fest from one of their tasting room associates. When we walked in to the tasting room we were informed that “the way this works is it’s two free tastings if we buy two bottles of wine”. No fine print on the card stating this. To say this was extremely off putting is an understatement, considering that per their menu they waive the tasting fees with the purchase of two bottles. We came in to the tasting room with the intention of purchasing anyways but why give out the free tasting card if you don’t intend to honor it. The food was good. The second girl that helped us (Jenna) was wonderful, and the reason I have anything nice to say at all. The first woman, could use some training in the service industry. I wouldn’t return.

We enjoyed an educational experience that I purchased at a nonprofit auction. We were absolutely delighted with our experience and would recommend this winery even for a tasting. The staff is very knowledgeable, and we really enjoyed the wines that we tasted. It was a rainy day for us so we enjoyed the actual tasting room, but it looks like they have outdoor seating for different times of the year. Fun fact, one of their wines is on the menu at The French Laundry, which is a Michelin restaurant in California. So if your wine tasting in the Gorge, make sure to stop by.

Phelps Creek Tasting Room was the perfect place for my first tour and tasting. The wine is delicious and this place is amazing with their wine making process. They cater to other parts of the world that may have different trending styles of wine than what is drank in the US. The gal there was very welcoming. We began by exploring the beautiful and well kept grounds. After sometime exploring the grounds we made our way into the building which was a completely new level of impressive. Rustic wood finishes with metal accents that all get pulled together with the wine making experience. This is much more than good wine it's a great experience.

The Port of Hood River is situated in a unique climate zone, experiencing moderate rainfall and consistently high winds due to its location at the transition between temperate rainforest and shrub-steppe desert. The area generally receives 30 inches of rain per year and has cooler temperatures compared to other low-elevation towns.
If I could give zero stars, I certainly would. I received a bill for $3.60 on August 10 and I paid by check the same day and stuck it in the mail. Today, which is September 5th, I received a “late notice unpaid toll invoice.” This seems ridiculous and extremely poor accounting by the “BreezeBy@Port of Hood River” office. I’ve called and left my number for a call back. After reading several reviews, I’m not sure I’ll ever hear from their office. Waiting a few more days to see what happens before I drive to Hood River and try to discuss this in person. Very frustrating for a simple trip across the bridge and a quick mail in of the initial payment. This is an update to my earlier review. I received a call from a very helpful person who told me that yes indeed they did receive my check. However, they cannot cash the check unless it is for the exact amount I had mistakenly written the check for $3.60 and the toll was for $3.50 Therefore, my check sat in limbo until time was up, and I received a late notice. Fortunately, they had a copy of the check and will be returning it to me. I did pay the $3.50 online using a credit card. The receipt was sent via email and the $25 late fee was waived. Very helpful talking to someone to explain the whole process to me. During the conversation, I also found out that the Porta River pass works for the Bridge of the Gods. Might be something I’ll look into since I cross that bridge several times a year. Overall, it was refreshing to talk to someone that was both very thorough in their explanation and could help solve the issue. Well done whoever that was!! Thank you.

Crossed the bridge coming from the north late at night not knowing if it was open or not, ready to pay, and nobody was there. I crossed the entryway knowing I would be sent a bill and was ok to pay then. Two months later I receive a collections bill for $31.50. Called the collections agency and obviously they had nothing to say other than pay the bill we can't help you. Nobody will answer the port's phone number and impossible of getting in contact with them to tell them I never received a bill. So zero chance of explaining what happened. I can't think of anything more unethical as this. I was in the process of moving so I presume my bills were sent to my old address. But should I be punished for not updating my car registration on time? Surely not by a corrupt private toll bridge that just capitalizes for years and years off people. Shame on whoever is sitting back collecting millions of dollars doing absolutely nothing but stealing money from their fellow humans and sending non-payers (with good intent to pay) to collections. Zero business ethics whatsoever. So now I'm literally forced (not to mention a ding on my credit score) to pay $31 for a simple late night crossing. Utterly awful system that punishes you for simply not receiving their bills.
Kevin R — Google review
They charge you a toll both ways unbeknownst to you. Hopefully you receive a bill in the mail, if not, like what happened to us, (although they show that they mailed one,) you will receive a late fee notice after 21 days that is 4 times the amount of the actual toll amount. So a $7.00 toll becomes $32! This is just another greedy grab by Oregon’s Govenor Koteck no doubt! Oh but you can just creat an account and get it reduced to $20, email them that you created an account and they will credit your “new” account l! What a scam!!!!!

Dear Hood River Bridge Tolling Overlords, First off, congratulations. You’ve managed to create a tolling system that feels like a time capsule from 1997, but somehow less efficient. I didn’t think it was possible to make paying a couple bucks feel like solving a Rubik’s cube in the dark, but here we are. The process is so wonderfully complex that it actually turns a quick bridge crossing into a multi-part quest. Step one: remember to pay. Step two: try to find the correct, non-user-friendly payment portal that looks like it was designed on a dial-up connection. Step three: squint at the fine print while wondering if you’ve accidentally signed up for a boat slip in Astoria. Step four: hope you didn’t miss the deadline, or you’ll be gifted with a fine worthy of crossing the Brooklyn Bridge in rush hour. And then there’s the signage—just vague enough to make you second-guess whether you’ve done it right, but never clear enough to actually help. It’s a beautiful system, really. Keeps drivers humble. Look, I love the bridge. It’s iconic. But the tolling setup feels like it was built for people who enjoy escape rooms. Please, for the sake of every commuter and visitor, upgrade to a simple, modern system where you drive, they snap your plate, and you get billed without needing a treasure map and invoice sent by paper mail which may or may not arrive. Maybe fax it to my work next time. Just as effective. Thank you for your attention—assuming this email actually makes it past whatever digital tollbooth you’ve got guarding your inbox. Oh, email is short for electronic mail. It's a new thing. Put the young people in charge. They'll do it better.

I'm one of the many people who apparently have suffered from the Breezeby toll system. I had no idea I was going to be charged a toll in the first place. I received a bill in the mail for $3.50. I was annoyed, but sent back a $5 bill with the mailing I was given. Then I received a mailing that said I was late to pay the toll and was now being charged $28.50. I called to discuss the issue and was told that my payment had never been received. I said I was willing to pay the $3.50 but wanted to late fee waived. I was told the fee could not be waived unless I made an account online and paid there. You have to upload a minimum of $20 to create a Breezeby account online and they force you to order their fast toll device for $5. I went through with these steps, figuring that I could cancel the device order and get refunded. I find my invoice and I'm still being charged the late fee. Now I'm trying to contact customer service and can't reach anyone despite having called three times. This is really frustrating and makes me want to just avoid Hood River. I'm not trying to get a random $3.50 toll sent to collections. I tried to cooperate in good faith and it feels like they're trying to steal my money.

Went through the toll in April. No signage stating I needed to pay a toll somewhere else but honestly that’s fine.. what’s worse is when I got the invoice letter stating I could pay online, I tried and kept getting error messages (saying my invoice isn’t valid). I emailed and talked two administrative assistants: Cristina and Yolanda. Told them I wanted to pay the toll online and it wasn’t working. They did no troubleshooting to help me and told me to call. I don’t like giving CC info over the phone but I called and left a voicemail with no callback. Tried again online and it still doesn’t work. Now I got sent a second letter asking for a late fee (+$25). Frustrated I emailed the assistant again and showed her the photo of the issue I’m getting online. Her response was “there was no attempt for payment at the time (I first emailed her) and now has a late fee attached to it”. It was like she didn’t read my email or look at the photo at all… no attempt made to resolve the issue… as of writing this I have no idea how I’m supposed to pay this. I’ve been given no indication that paying online isn’t possible. I honestly just don’t care what needs to be done, I’ll pay you people whatever you want from me… just tell me what I need to do. To anyone reading this… I can’t recommend this tolling bridge (at least until they fix the website). You really don’t want to end up having to deal with this. Just go the long way to get where you need to go.
Warren B — Google review
Similar to other folks here, predatory place. I really enjoy the Hood River area and appreciate the bridge itself, but the current toll payment process feels deeply misleading. When I crossed the bridge in June, I was not able to pay at the time, and no bill was ever sent until September—nearly three months later. That bill gave me less than two weeks to respond. The original toll was only $3.50, but because I was traveling and missed the short payment window, a $25 late fee was added. That amounts to more than a 700% penalty. I would have gladly paid the toll promptly at any earlier stage if I had been given the opportunity, but this system creates unnecessary traps for responsible drivers. It comes across less like fair administration by a public agency and more like a predatory practice.
Siobhan D — Google review
This new BreezeBy system is an absolute joke, incredibly misleading and unethical. Customer support doesn't care about helping either. I crossed back in April to go on a weekend hike, didn't see any information about how to pay since the toll booth is no longer being staffed. I didn't receive any invoice until over a month later, where I was notified that the toll was already overdue and they had tacked on a $25 late fee. I emailed a screenshot of the verbiage from their website showing how misleading and unclear the information is. I explained that I never received an initial invoice within 14 days as the website states I should. Christina tells me she can't waive the late fee (even though I can clearly see posts on Reddit and online about others having the late fee waived). Any other institution/business that sends a billing invoice always does so before the bill is due. They then typically send a reminder/warning before adding on a late fee. Likewise, when someone makes an honest mistake I've always found customer support to be understanding and waive the fee one time (banks, medical clinics, ride shares, bike shares, etc). After Christina refused to waive my late fee, she then tried to offer me a "discount" to sign up for a BreezeBy account. Which isn't a discount at all, it's another scam where you have to upload a minimum of $20 to get a 50% "discount" on each crossing. But you can never have less than $10 on your account and must always reload in $10 increments. This is such a waste of money for visitors who don't live near Hood River, don't even bother. I will be avoiding this bridge from now on and am looking forward to the class action lawsuit. I've never seen so many negative Google reviews, especially in the span of a few months.

Nestled along the stunning Columbia River Gorge, Cascade Cliffs Winery & Tasting Room is a charming family-owned establishment that spans 20 acres and boasts a rich history dating back to 1986. This picturesque winery produces an impressive array of wines, including classic varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, as well as delightful northern Italian varietals such as Barbera and Nebbiolo.
Our friends group has made this 2 hour drive to this great place 3 times now. We love this place! Mo has amazing customer service skills, friendly, warm and welcoming. Rachael has helped us twice and is great. She always has a smile on her face and it very knowledgeable about the wine and history. This place is truly a gem and well worth the stop. The view is beautiful and the wine is also our favorite. We also went to their place in Hoodriver, same vibe and definitely worth a visit!

Absolutely amazing experience today in the Hood River tasting room. Comfortable and fun atmosphere. Our tasting was tailored to our likes, extremely personable, with knowledgeable and meaningful conversation. We left with 2 great bottles of wine.

Amazing spot an incredibly friendly staff. They were very nice and knowledgeable and did a great job explaining the different types of wine and the tastes of the wine and they did that in an unpretentious and friendly manner, which was really appreciated. Very good prices and very good service as well. Would 10 out of 10 recommend

Went here for wine tasting on a hot Tuesday afternoon. The tasting room is cute and inviting with good seating options. We spent sometime here beating the heat and absolutely enjoyed our tasting experience thanks to Steven. He took good care of us , the pours kept coming. No complaints there because we love Cascade cliffs wines. Would love to visit again! Rachel is fantastic

Very nice Tasting Room with a really great staff. Went midday on a Wednesday and they were super accommodating with what fit our taste preference. I found the Nebbiolo to be fun and unique. Majority of their wines had oak aging but I found they did a nice job of balancing terroir expression and wine maker preference

Soooo… I’m not really going to rate any of the tasting rooms, because they are all phenomenal! The wines… I recently stopped by the tasting room in Hood River and tasted the Syrah that was advertised via email as “on sale”! They should be selling that for double price!!!💕 OMGOODNESS!!! If I were given a choice of only one beverage plus water for the remainder of my life, this would be it! I’m over the moon with my purchase and we will be recommending as always!❤️❤️❤️❤️

Performing arts theater
The Columbia Center For the Arts, situated in Hood River, Oregon, is a vibrant cultural hub offering a theater, art gallery, and cafe. The center hosts an array of events including concerts, lectures, and plays. It's a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike to immerse themselves in the rich artistic scene of Hood River. The art gallery showcases works by local artists and offers an opportunity to purchase unique pieces. Visitors can also enjoy top-notch performances in the intimate theater space.
The gallery featured a nice variety of mediums and styles. It was great for a quick stop and we felt very satisfied with our time there. Much of the local art is reasonably priced so if you are looking to take something home with you, this is a great place to stop in. There is also an array of greeting cards featuring the artists in the gallery.
Conner H — Google review
Despite having a sandwich board and multiple signs on the building stating that the gallery would be open Sat & Sun 12p-5p, it was NOT OPEN. When calling, the voicemail message is from January so it was of no use. Finally, on Sunday after many visits and calls, someone finally answered and said they were closed for maintenance. Therefore, we were not able to see the gallery, so I don't know if it's decent or not, but given what I have learned about how this place is (mis)managed, I'm guessing it's not worth the effort. No one could be bothered to update the website, signs on the building, or voicemail?
Emmy D — Google review
Nice. First time I've been there. The artists all had good space to display their work. I was there for the opening of Rhythm. This work is by a friend, Elena Weisenburger, but there were other artists too.
Geri W — Google review
It's a lovely gallery. A good size - not huge but definitely enough art to spend an hour. They also have a small store with lovely items. It's a beautiful building and the people are very nice. There is also no charge, but they do ask that you donate if you can.

A lovely venue that supports the local arts. We happened across there really to use the bathroom, but noticed it was 9 AM and they opened at 11 AM, so initially we were going to leave...but then someone noticed us outside and let us in! Turns out they were rehearsing for a play. Someone came out to the art gallery and turned the lights on for us. I ended up buying some lovely postcards, and the woman gave us great advice on where to eat. I'd definitely go back.

Columbia Center For The Arts is high on my favorite place in the world list. The current Art-A-Day Exhibition is very sparkly, and Jason Graham's "What We Risk: Creativity, Vulnerability, and Art Discussion" event in the (charming) theater was well worth the late night drive home to Troutdale. Staff is unerringly friendly, welcoming, and without an arrogant bone in their respective bodies, and I expect to continue making the drive often for events. Note that Hood River gets very busy, and that street (coin) and public lot parking (cards or bills) are paid during business hours, but I have been able to find a spot without any great difficulty thus far. Go!

I recently attended an artists reception in this gallery. It was my first time in the gallery. The reception was great and I enjoyed viewing artwork from up and coming artists. Nice location. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the lack of parking.

Wilderton Non-Alcoholic Botanical Spirits offers a unique and delightful experience for those looking for non-alcoholic options. The bittersweet apertivo is praised for its complex and delicious flavors, making it perfect for creating mocktails at home. Visitors have enjoyed the tasting flights, finding the spirits to be delicious, unique, and with a kick of heat from peppercorn. The customer service has been exceptional, with friendly and knowledgeable staff providing a warm atmosphere.
Tasty N/A aperitifs. Good depth of flavor. $10 tasting flight, which they waive if you end up buying 2 bottles (around $30 each). Flight was 4 samples - 2 "on the rocks", 2 spritz style with soda water. They did only have two aperitifs to try which I thought was odd, but I guess that's all they make currently. I liked both so ended up with a bottle of each for mocktails at home.
Austin M — Google review
What a delight! Friendly and knowledgeable woman toured me through the tasting flight (3 neat pours, 3 with mix-ins = N/A cocktails). All delicious, unique, and had a kick of heat from the peppercorn! Great mouthfeel, sophisticated, magical blends. I bought two sample packs of all 3 spirits which came with recipe cards. Can't wait to impress my girlfriends with these genius concoctions!
Maja — Google review
I was skeptical of the concept of distilled NA spirits, but am glad I gave it a try. After talking with the bartender and sampling their 3 option, we got a bottle of bittersweet apertivo. The flavors are really good and complex. At home, we mixed it with fresh squeezed orange, lime, and tonic. It made a delicious mocktail. Great for folks who don't want hard drinks or as an addition to other cocktails.
Dominic G — Google review
Was able to do a tasting at our local supermarket Zupans and am very impressed with the flavors, especially when mixed. I walked away with a bottle of Lustre and will probably go back for the Earthen. It's nice to have a grown up non-alcoholic drink instead of a sugar bomb or meh flavored water. And unlike the Ritual, these aren't made with Xanthan Gum and the always mysterious "natural flavors" which can be derived from anything naturally occurring, even things you wouldn't consider to be food.

Great breakfast spot with a nice view, located right in the heart of downtown. We found street parking easily and were seated within a minute. The staff took our order quickly and service was fast throughout. We had the crab eggs Benedict and the chicken breakfast with potatoes and fruit salad—both delicious. Coffee refills were unlimited, and we were offered them countless times. They also had a variety of baked goods that seemed popular, though we didn’t try any. The place had a warm, friendly, family-like vibe, and they were celebrating their 50th location anniversary while we were there.

Very cute diner with large menu of breakfast classics. They also had a specials board that sounded amazing. Portion sizes were huge (i could not finish my omelet) and their fruit assortment was very fresh and ripe. Coffee is strong and wakes you right up. Service was great! Will definitely be back next time im in Hood River
Dianne N — Google review
The feel of a diner with homemade deliciousness in every bite. We had sandwiches off the lunch menu: turkey-avocado on croissant and grilled avocado, cheese, and tomato on sourdough... each with a salad. The sandwiches were tasty and the salads fresh and yummy with a good selection of dressings. Then, to top everything off, we had a piece of still hot from the oven Marion berry pie. The crust was flaky and delicious (which is hard to find these days) and the insides filled the plate with fresh baked berry goodness. We did not have ice cream with ours, but that would have been a great addition to this already scrumptious dessert. Overall, Bette's Place exceeded our expectations with their mix old time diner charm and homemade goodness but modern recipes reflecting the variety of produce and foods available today (i.e. spring green salads, scones, new varieties of grilled sandwiches, etc). Highly recommend!

Fun place with lots of fun decor. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

We had the pleasure of grabbing a quick breakfast at Egg River Cafe yesterday.. it's one of those places you're not quite sure about when arriving. However, parking was difficult to find so we took that as a good thing. The cafe was packed. We were seated at the very last available table. For a little place their menu was extensive. I decided to go with smoked salmon eggs Benedict. It really was delicious! The hollandaise sauce was very flavorful and the salmon was not too "smoky." The balance was perfect for me. To offset the richness I asked for fruit rather than hash browns. While waiting it's fun to take in all the chicken decor... And it's a lot! They are everywhere.. including the rest room!! The cafe is small but there is some outside seating. Plus surprisingly they have a well stocked bar. Our check was really reasonable.. something like $42.00. We did not have drinks so I'm not sure what they're priced like. Anyway, give this little place a try, it's well worth getting off the road for!

We have been wanting to try this restaurant for quite some time. Unfortunately we picked Veteran's Day and it was packed. Our server was friendly, helpful, and informative, but the service was very slow, I'm sure due to the number of people in the restaurant. I also believe our food was sitting on a warming table or in the kitchen for a while because it came out not as hot as it should have been, and the fruit plate with my veggie omelette was fairly pathetic. The California croissant with the potatoes and avocado was excellent.

In my many years of wine tasting I’ve experienced the vast gamut of servers. You can hire any dullard to pour wine for the masses. Someone like LEIGHA is a true treasure. As I am considering purchasing a winery, I’ve taken very careful notes. This amazing woman should be treasured by the owner, her presentation of the wines is difficult to describe. Thank you Leigha, you made our visit very special, the wine isn’t bad either! 😂

I've led wine tours in Oregon for a decade. Of all the tasting rooms in the state, I consider The Pines 1852 the best! For so many reasons--location, price, servers, ambience, amenities, music, not to mention the wines made from historic vines! Hidden at 4th and Oak, The Pines is the perfect place to begin or end a stroll along Hood River's adorable shop-lined main street. Flights are just $10--ownership believes in affordability so everyone can enjoy. Outside food is allowed, and the service couldn't be more friendly--especially Leigha and Jeffrey. A wonderful cool dark bar, a cute shaded garden space, with regular local musical performances. I'll leave it up to you to describe the wines and find out why it's called "1852". Tell them Adam's review convinced you to go.

This 3-mile out-and-back trail is perfect for families and furry friends alike, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a leisurely stroll in nature. Kids love exploring this path, especially when they can stop for treats along the way. The trail is well-maintained and frequented by friendly hikers, providing a peaceful atmosphere to soak in the beautiful surroundings.
Me and my kids (4 and 5 years old) love walking this trail, we start at the hazel street entrance and walk to dutch and get a treat then head back. Sometimes see unleashed dogs but have not had any issues yet.

Beautiful area, but so many people leaving their garbage behind is sad and not appealing to the eyes and soul. Water is contaminated right now. Swim at your own risk..

A nice easy 3.1 mile out and back. A few great views. Honestly there are better trails in the gorge but if in Hood River this is super convenient

Great trail experience, hope they connect all the segments one day! Walked all of segments one and two stopping frequently for photos, and returned to the parking lot in just under two hours.

Whiskey Tango is a popular spot in Hood River, offering a vibrant nightlife experience. It features an array of dining and drinking options, including Evoke Winery, Stave & Stone wine tasting rooms, 64 oz Taphouse, Oak Street Pub, and KickStand Coffee & Kitchen. The venue offers diverse experiences from happy hour to nightclub vibes. Visitors praise the excellent food such as cauliflower and smash burger while enjoying creative drinks. The staff are known for their welcoming and fun demeanor.
Went there for a bachelorette party. The drinks were great and the atmosphere was fun. Ran into 2 other bachelorette parties!! I was disappointed the DJ they had only knew how to play one genre of music. All 3 bachelorettes were country fans but the DJ didn’t know any country at all even for one song. Bummer.

We had good service and the bar is nice but beware!! We were charged $40 for a shot of Weller 12. The bottle costs $55. I’m all for profits but they made $610 profit on this bottle. My friend who owns a Whiskey Bar said that price is insane and I was overcharged. you decide if this is a place for you
Roger P — Google review
Came from Vancouver, WA to visit this place and do some line dancing, we seen on their Instagram page that they do it at times. The Margaritas were delicious and the bartenders/service were great. Only reason for the 4 star is because, the DJ was really rude when you go to request a song. He said he didn’t play any country songs and he wouldn’t take requests if it was country.
Breanna M — Google review
Drinks were great, but prepare to wait forever. Like actually forever. Two of us at the bar and were repeatedly skipped over and over. Waited a full hour before we eventually gave up and had to flag her down to get our card. Don’t go on any night that you only see one bartender working there. My husband was the only POC in the bar. Not saying this had anything to do with it but by the end of being ignored while other people around us being served started to feel intentional

Stopped in on a whim, looking for a cocktail and app... Stayed for a few hours. Probably the best food we had over a 3 day stay in town. Great drinks, amazing food, and friendly staff. It's a MUST STOP while in town!

We went twice during our visit to Hood River. Once early during happy hour and once in the night with more of a night club vibe. We enjoyed the happy hour vibe more but both were great. The cauliflower is excellent and I also enjoyed the dates. The smash burger was very good and the wings were good, too. We'll go again when back in town

Now THIS is a cocktail bar. Absolutely fantastic cocktail menu and skilled mixologists. Christa took care of us multiple time during our trip. Additionally, the kitchen is fantastic. Also offers tons of weekday events and dancing on the weekends with a DJ.

Mountain View Cycles is a popular bike shop known for its excellent customer service and knowledgeable staff. Customers appreciate the helpfulness of the team, who ensure that bikes are properly set up and provide guidance on using different features. The shop is also praised for its no-pressure sales approach and genuine care for customers' needs. Additionally, Mountain View Cycles offers a wide range of bikes, including MTB, road, gravel, and e-bikes.
Every time we’ve been to Mountain View Cycles in Hood River, the experience has been consistently excellent. The staff is incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about cycling—without ever being pushy. Whether you're asking deep tech questions or just looking for advice, they take the time to listen and offer thoughtful, informed guidance. Their selection is sharp—clearly curated with care and intention. You don’t feel overwhelmed by random stock; instead, it’s clear that everything in the shop has been chosen for quality and performance. If you’re a road, gravel, or mountain rider, beginner or experienced, this is one of the best shops around. I trust them completely for gear, service, and honest advice. Highly recommend stopping in for anything bike-related—you’ll walk out stoked and well taken care of.
John — Google review
I called to reserve an e-bike the other weekend and spoke with someone I believe was named Mike. He told me reservations had to be made online, even though my friend had just made one over the phone. Not a big deal. A few minutes later, I called back to ask about their Rocky Mountain e-bikes (which aren’t listed on the website). I spoke with the same person, and when I asked what model they carried, his response was surprisingly terse: “The Altitude.” I asked for clarification since there are seven different Altitude Powerplay models, and he repeated, more loudly and dismissively, “THE ALTITUDE.” I didn’t get a clear answer until I started listing the models one by one, waiting to be cut off (which I was), with the model they stocked. I get that not everyone wants to talk tech specs, but if you work in a bike shop, especially one renting high-end e-bikes, it shouldn’t be a hassle to answer basic questions. The conversation really took the wind out of my sails. I ended up renting a Trek Rail+ instead, partly because the spec was better (which was the point of asking about the Rocky Mountain model in the first place). The website claims their rental/demo bikes are “meticulously maintained and tuned by expert mechanics,” but unfortunately, that wasn’t our experience. One of the bikes wouldn’t turn on and needed a software update just to shift gears. It wasn’t fully charged either, which cut our ride short. The bikes were also dirty, again, not a huge issue, but disappointing when you’re renting $11,000 bikes. I had to look up the base suspension settings myself, which is not a dealbreaker, but having that information on hand would have gone a long way in helping us get the most out of the ride. If the goal is to provide a top-notch demo experience and ultimately sell bikes, giving customers the tools to enjoy the ride would be beneficial. On the trail, I noticed the brakes on my bike were not in great shape. Under load, the levers pulled nearly to the grips, and braking performance was weak. I adjusted the controls to make the bike rideable, but the lack of reliable braking really limited confidence and speed. When I returned the bike and mentioned the brake issue, the mechanic was dismissive and borderline argumentative. He told me the brakes were fine and I could “just move the controls out,” which I had already done. He finally said, “I’ll have the guys take a look at it,” rolled his eyes, and wheeled the bike away. The younger staff at the shop were friendly, but overall, this was a frustrating experience. I hope they work on improving customer service and bike maintenance, because there’s real potential here.

I had a really great experience with Mountain View Cycles! I was assisted by John with a bike rental for the weekend and even though they did not have any more gravel bikes available for my timeframe, I was setup with an MTB that ended up being perfect for the rides I went on. John was extremely pleasant and helpful to work with and gave good riding recommendations. The price point was very reasonable for the riding I got out of the bike and I would definitely come back to rent or purchase from Mountain View again!

Never been more pleased with a bike shop. I went here after having a mechanical in a local race at Post Canyon. My shifter was smoked and I wanted to explore new options to upgrade my sram NX system. One of the mechanics named John Ryan helped me for probably an hour and a half. He was super friendly and seemed genuinely excited to help me upgrade my bike. Aside from this being the best service I have ever seen in a bike shop, it is also a local shop, so when you buy something here you know that you are making a difference. Thank you very much to the entire Mountain View team and I will be back!
Nathan W — Google review
I came down from Alaska for the Cascade Gravel Grinder and brought my bike to Mountain View Sports in Hood River for a race tune—and they absolutely crushed it. Not only was my gravel bike dialed in to perfection, it was spotless. (And we all know a clean bike is a fast bike!) I had zero mechanicals on some brutal terrain and landed on the podium. I truly believe their attention to detail made the difference. Plus, the crew is not just skilled—they’re genuinely nice and hilarious. If you need bike work in the Gorge, this is the place to go.

5 Stars – Super Fun and Easy! Pedal & Paddle was awesome! The staff was super friendly and had the ebikes ready for our ride. Everything was in great condition, and they made sure we had helmets, locks, and some great tips on where to go. They gave us a map with QR codes. It allowed us to go to several different locations around Hood River. The whole process was quick and easy, and the ride through Hood River was beautiful. Can’t recommend them enough—definitely coming back next time we’re in town!

We had a wonderful experience as a couple who've only been kayaking one time. I was so nervous to even get into the kayak, but our guide was very understanding and talked me through the motions of becoming comfortable in the kayak. It was a beautiful tour, and I felt safe the entire time. We received a text before the ride with a link to Google Maps so we knew exactly where to meet. Make sure to bring water shoes and sunglasses! Next time we go back, we'll try the e-bike tour. Pedal & Paddle is really great.

Hood River Pedal & Paddle – A Truly Outstanding Experience! We recently had the pleasure of using Hood River Pedal & Paddle while visiting Oregon with our group, the Bike’n Babes, and we were absolutely blown away by the experience! Todd was incredibly personable and welcoming, helping all 14 of us get fitted with bikes and making sure everyone was comfortable. He then guided us on a three-hour tour of the area, sharing fascinating trivia, history, and insider knowledge about the local spots. He made frequent stops, helped us capture group photos, and kept the experience engaging and fun the entire time. Todd’s encouragement and genuine care made our ride so enjoyable — we felt like we were in the best hands possible! We also want to give a huge shoutout to his assistant, Will, who joined us on the tour to ensure no one got left behind. He was patient and supportive for anyone who needed extra help or was lagging behind, and he made sure the group stayed safe and together throughout the ride. The bikes themselves were high-quality, very comfortable, and Todd’s rental rates were extremely reasonable, making this an excellent value. We highly recommend Hood River Pedal & Paddle to anyone visiting the area — whether you making a stop on a river cruise or spending more time exploring. Todd, Will, and their team go above and beyond to make the experience memorable, and we couldn’t have asked for a better adventure. Thank you so much for your care, energy, and expertise — we can’t wait to come back!

We had the most amazing bike trip! The views were absolutely stunning, and the whole experience was so much fun. The team made everything incredibly easy to navigate, and we loved being able to go at our own pace. Highly recommend the combo ride—you get breathtaking views along the way and then finish with the most delicious fresh fruit. It was the perfect way to wrap up the trip. The bikes worked flawlessly, and the battery lasted our full 5 hours, which was incredible. We can’t recommend this enough and will definitely be coming back with friends and family!

Blac was wonderful! Great guide, great story teller, very knowledgeable and passionate about the geology, culture, history, and nature of the Columbia Gorge. He was very personable and interested in his guests and was great at instructing the kayak navigation and assessing the abilities of the participants and customized the trip accordingly. I will recommend him to friends and family and make a point of coming again

My bf and I booked a sunset kayak tour based off all the positive reviews we saw online. The reviews were accurate! We had Blac as our tour guide and though our tour only included the three of us, blac made it exactly what we needed the tour to be: chill, informative and fun. After our tour we couldn’t help but reflect on how much we enjoyed having blac as a tour guide. Thanks Blac! We’re gonna go enjoy some breakfast at the white salmon baking company and visit the gorge museum thanks to your recommendations! Happy trails!

Kamila is the real deal, she is a true healer. Her presence alone is soothing and brought me to a state of peace and rest right away. The bodywork, guided visualization and her intuitions were spot on throughout the entire session. I left her sanctuary feeling deeply restored and bliss-full! Highly recommend, if there were more stars available I'd give them all! You will be in Divinely guided hands when you receive her healing touch. I recommend Kamila to anyone seeking a local mini-vacation, resulting in a highly potent and relaxed state of personal well-being. After receiving a 1-hour custom full-body massage with a biodynamic craniosacral, I’m now pleasantly sensing a new level of spiritual rejuvenation unlike any other while working directly with the mind, spirit and body. The warmth of the healing space and table, the guiding work of Kamila, paired with the pressure and weightlessness of spiritual transcendence will forever postulate memorable reprieve for my present and future integrations. Also, I had the best night sleep in a long while following my session! I would be more than happy to work with Kamila again and would be glad to recommend her to anyone seeking momentous manifestations.

To say that the work from Kamila was life changing, is an understatement. Her Somato Emotional Healing technique lead me to a profound realization and immediate improvement within my body. Her massages are awesome too! I would highly recommend anyone wanting give themselves the gift of her wisdom and expertise anytime your close to Hood River.

I had an incredible experience and insight about held energies in my family system during a session with Kamila. I understood, through a gently held induced visionary state, how my father's wound was my father's mother wound. And I was able to hold that with compassion and also, was able to see that pattern shift with Kamila's excellent guidance. Kamila is a strong and tender soul who can show up to help you do the real work, in vulnerability and power, because she has done so much of her own work. I highly reccomend working with this lovely human being.

Kamila is an incredible somatic coach and leverages her outstanding coaching while taking you through a journey in the body to transform and release old thought patterns and paradigms. Her unique approach and her soft and intuitive nature creates a space for safety and to soften. As a coach myself for the past 15 years, I would highly recommend Kamila to anyone seeking to release old thought patterns and transform past traumas into a life of inner peace, empowerment and joy.

With a modest $5 day-use fee for parking, visitors can explore diverse climate zones and stunning geological formations while enjoying vibrant wildflowers along the way. The trail features breathtaking scenic overlooks and two intriguing tunnels that add to its charm. For those seeking adventure, the uphill climb rewards you with magnificent views of the Columbia River that are simply unforgettable.
Paved hike, leisurely walk, great for biking. Amazing views of the Columbia river. Peaceful and serene. Good to bring kids. Clean restrooms. Oregon state pass needed for parking, $5 day pass available to pirchase.

Good parking ($10 fee) and restrooms. Asphalt paths can be useful for elderly walkers like me, or when it’s raining hard (like it was today), even though it’s not as idyllic as a soft dirt-and-pine-needles path. We only walked about 9/10 mile, to a modest lookout, so didn’t go far enough to get the more spectacular views.

Had a wonderful day riding e-bikes with my son on the Historic Columbia River Trail. Rented bikes from Sol Rides very close to trail.

Nice paved trail in between Hood River and Mosier that is suitable for both biking and hiking. The trailhead at the Hood River site has more amenities so I tend to park there, but if one wants to just see the Mosier Twin Tunnels and not walk the entire thing one can park on the Mosier side as well. The Twin Tunnels here are the star attraction of course, but this trail is also notable for traversing, in a few miles, a region of climate and vegetation transition from wet westerly to dry easterly, along with from fir and spruce to Ponderosa pine.
T T — Google review
This is our second time visiting the highway. And a second time doing it on E bikes. It is a wonderful ride. A combination of hikers and bicyclists. The road is wide and well taken care of. I am sure you could easily hike or ride a regular bike as well. The views are astonishing. The tunnels are fun. And the grocery store in Mosier is a great destinations for Snacks and a drink.
Keith N — Google review
Lot of skill levels I’d say with the up and down hills but it’s hard to say this is a good trail for kids as it’s kinda long for young ones, 3.6 miles to tunnel from parking lot. Did the whole hike it’s about 9 miles to end and back to parking lot.
C B — Google review
The second location we visited this morning and I love this one just as much, actually even more lol I enjoyed climbing the hills so much we didn’t even bother to check out the actual trail. Once I got to the top of the hill the views were to die for. Just magnificent! My wife decided to stay behind for this one due to it being too risky for her to climb. She did get a few pics of me from the bottom lol
Davin — Google review
Rode our bikes from West to East and back. Great trail with tremendous views. Restrooms and water faucet at the West trailhead are great. The trail is all blacktop and not too steep in any sections. Just about 10 miles out and back. No water on the trail. On a hot day, make sure you take water. Much of the trail is shaded, but it's very dry and adequate water is a must.

If you're looking to dive into the exhilarating world of kiteboarding, Cascade Kiteboarding is a fantastic choice. This renowned school in Hood River offers an exceptional learning experience for both beginners and seasoned enthusiasts alike. While mastering kiteboarding can be challenging, don't let initial struggles deter you; many find themselves returning to this beautiful location after their first taste of the sport. Cascade Kiteboarding stands out for its excellent communication and well-organized lessons.
Cascade Kiteboarding school is one of the most professional schools I've ever seen. Great facility and equipment. Tye is one of the owners and right there all day to help get folks organized. My instructor was Erik. He is the go to guy......from the area, and knows the Gorge. He is safety first and just plain cool! Excellent teacher. Really knows how to get you from Never Never.....(never been) to boarding and flying. Great school, great instructor. Scott

Erik is the best! I’d highly recommend taking lessons here. Super low pressure, awesome Instructions, and always feel Comfortable out of my comfort zone if that makes sense. Can’t say enough great things about Erik! Will come back for sure

Erik is the an amazing instructor. Super knowledgeable, encouraging, and just a fun guy to learn from. He got me winging, on foil in 4 lessons. I “graduated” after 5 lessons to the point where I’m ready to go out on my own. Can’t recommend Erik, and Casacade enough. I also loved that I could text Cascade to cancel/reschedule lessons and they were always very responsive.

Few years ago my son took lessons from Erik. This year was my turn. Radioi helmets made commutation in the water easy and seamless. Erik does a great job with skills and safety and will get you up and running in no time! I recommend!

My instructor was Payton. She's a bundle of energy, full of life, passionate about her job. She made the whole experience so much fun. The location was perfect too. Steady wind, and plenty of space with waist-high water to learn and practice. The equipment (wetsuit, wing, board,...) were in very good condition. Impressive all around.

I had the most amazing summer thanks to Cascade Kiteboarding. I came into this sport with literally no experience on a board of any kind and Alec had me up and riding by the end of summer. Nadja is a fantastic instructor as well, and very much appreciated and empowering learning the sport from a woman’s perspective. They both are incredibly patient and helpful. Everyone I interacted with at Cascade was wonderful, and Katie is so helpful with scheduling. I can’t wait for next summer to keep up my learning with them!

This was my 4th trip in 2022 for kiteboarding lessons after getting hooked in Puerto Rico earlier in the year. So I have had lessons with multiple outfits in lots of places. Cascade seemed to be recommended more when I was researching Hood River. Will have to say they lived up to their good reputation and more. Katie runs a well-organized outfit. She responded promptly to my questions prior to the trip, and during the trip. I had 5 lessons with Luke and my last one was with Mel. Both were great. Well prepared; on time for the lessons (actually usually early). Both had a good feel for where I was in my kiteboarding progression. The equipment was great and the fit was good. Believe me, the quality and the fit make a difference. Shout out also to Haley, Jake and Ty - Admin staff who were very helpful. (Sorry if I left anyone out - whole outfit was good).

I took wing foiling lessons with Erik while in Hood River and he was a great instructor! Purchased a wheel while I passed through on my tour last year. They were very helpful when selling me something, not so much when the item broke. Before I left the store I asked the employee what they would if something happened to the wheel. He said they would 'stand by it.' When the wheel broke two weeks later, the owner refused to refund me the wheel and told me the warranty process was my problem to deal with. Not good.

I came in with a newly purchased used road bike I was looking to get tuned up, as well as get a bike fit for. I’m new to cycling and have very VERY limited knowledge... Kurt (the owner) was kind, patient, and very easy to talk to. He went above and beyond in every possible way. I especially appreciated how carefully he listened to what issues I was looking to solve and had fantastic custom recommendations and ideas for what we could upgrade on the used bike, and reasons for the minor aches and pains I was having. The level of customer service has been truly fantastic and I’m so happy with how everything turned out! I especially can’t recommend coming in for a bike fit enough - it was well worth the reasonable price and I’m so much more comfortable on my bike. Very thorough, and Kurt took extra time to answer any and all questions I had. Thank you so much, Kurt and team! Will certainly be coming back :) also great gear in the shop - fun to just wander around and check out what they have.

Awful support from owner Kurt. I am from out of town and planned my trip with a long road ride through Trout Lake as a centerpiece of the trip. I reserved 2 road bikes from Discover. When I arrived for pickup, the bikes were set up with knobby tires which the shop said they changed all road bikes to because they didn't want to deal with flats. These tires were inappropriate for any performance road ride and not what was described when we had inquired during the reservation about details on the bikes. As a solution, I requested changed tires to normal road tires which would be expected and appropriate for a road bike. The shop contacted owner Kurt who refused to honor the reservation of a road bike by changing tires. I would never trust this company or owner in the future with supplying what was promised.

The Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area is a stunning 80-mile canyon along the Columbia River, boasting breathtaking waterfalls and unique wildlife. It is one of the most photographed natural reserves in the United States. Visitors can enjoy a scenic drive along the oldest highway in the country, with stops at panoramic viewpoints including the Bonneville Dam Sturgeon viewing center. The area offers a variety of hiking trails suitable for different skill levels, some of which are wheelchair accessible.
One of the best roadside waterfalls in all of my travels! Cascade Locks Historical Museum is a great place to stop FIRST to see if they have day passes available for the Falls. Especially if you didn't go online to pre book. The Oregon Pony and nine finger doll are worth the price of admission to the Museum, but if they have a day pass, it's priceless. But back to the falls. Parking is limited but for the most part people are friendly in the lot and you can wait a bit for someone to leave, you are able to circle the lot so try all the way down and around. The parking lot in the middle of the highway has more turnover. The small lot in front of the restaurant is almost always full and the lot just down the road and on the right hand side is tight. Some people get creative and are willing to walk and park in the coves along the road plus or minus a half mile on the falls river road. Once you get to the falls it is a short very up hill walk to the bridge but worth it. The views of the falls from the middle of the highway parking lot is very nice for anyone that can't make the hike in.

Absolutely beautiful. The Visitor Center has basic amenities, and theres a restaurant & coffee stand as well. You can walk/hike as far as you want, path is clearly paved and is suitable for all ages, depending on where you stop. Would definitely recommend visiting!

Beautiful waterfalls and views are amazing. I went on a very rainy Saturday in November. Multnomah Falls was very busy and you had to pay to park. The rest of the falls had very few people around them and plenty of parking.
James G — Google review
Absolutely stunning. Recommend going earlier in the morning to avoid the crowds. Especially if you plan on going on the hikes, the trails can be quiet narrow and points without guard rails on the hike to the lookout point. Bring non slip shoes, the trails can be slippery with the moisture and leave litter.
Korbin M — Google review
Totally worth it! However parking was at a premium! We finally found parking at the Horsetail Waterfall. This is an easier and shorter hike. Very enjoyable. Stunning views!

Biking through the Columbia River Gorge is one of the most scenic and refreshing experiences imaginable. 🚴‍♀️🌲 Every turn reveals another postcard-perfect view — waterfalls cascading beside the trail, dramatic cliffs, and endless stretches of forest meeting the river. The path is well maintained, with a great balance of gentle rides and more challenging stretches for those wanting a bit of adventure. It’s the kind of ride where you can stop often just to take in the views (and you absolutely should). The mix of fresh air, natural beauty, and peaceful rhythm of the ride makes this trail unforgettable. Whether you’re a serious cyclist or just out for a scenic ride, the Gorge biking trail is pure Oregon magic.
Stacey H — Google review
The Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, a breathtaking natural corridor in the Pacific Northwest, offers a dramatic blend of towering cliffs, roaring waterfalls, lush forests, and expansive river vistas. Its accessibility and endless exploration make it a must-visit destination. What sets the Gorge apart is its unique landscape, shaped by ice-age floods and the relentless forces of wind, water, and time. The contrast between the dense green forests on the Oregon side and the rolling golden hills on the Washington side, with the mighty Columbia River stretching between them like a silver ribbon, creates a stunning visual spectacle. Key highlights and must-see attractions include: - Multnomah Falls: The most renowned waterfall in the Gorge, a magnificent 620-foot, two-tier cascade. Despite its popularity, it’s worth the visit. - Latourell, Wahkeena, and Horsetail Falls: Accessible and picturesque, these falls offer excellent loop hikes that take you from streamside trails to high viewpoints. - Vista House at Crown Point: A classic stop providing sweeping views of the entire river corridor. - Dog Mountain (Washington): A challenging hike that rewards you with massive spring wildflowers and panoramic views of the Gorge. - Rowena Crest (Oregon): Iconic horseshoe curves and sweeping golden scenery, especially stunning at sunrise or during spring bloom. - The Historic Columbia River Highway: A scenic drive filled with viewpoints, stone bridges, and waterfall trailheads. Outdoor activities abound in the Gorge, catering to various interests. Whether you’re seeking adventure, tranquility, or simply a chance to immerse yourself in nature, the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area offers an unforgettable experience. The Gorge, a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, offers a plethora of activities such as hiking, cycling, windsurfing, kiteboarding, fishing, and scenic driving. Nestled in the heart of the region, Hood River stands as one of the best outdoor towns, boasting an array of breweries, cafés, and gear shops to complement your adventure. The Gorge’s atmosphere and scenery are nothing short of captivating. From the dramatic cliffs that rise sharply above the water to the evergreen forests draped in moss, cascading waterfalls plunging through basalt canyons, and the ever-changing weather and light, every corner of the Gorge presents a unique spectacle. Spring, in particular, transforms the landscape into a vibrant tapestry of green, creating an enchanting and magical ambiance. While some areas may require timed permits during peak seasons, particularly around Multnomah Falls, planning ahead ensures a smooth and enjoyable experience. The unpredictable weather of Oregon, characterized by sudden shifts from sunny to rainy, adds to the allure of the Gorge. It creates a dynamic and alive landscape that keeps visitors on their toes. While major waterfalls attract crowds, the Gorge offers a plethora of quieter trails and lesser-known spots for those seeking solitude and tranquility. Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie or a nature lover, the Gorge promises an unforgettable adventure.

Wahclella Falls Trail was a fantastic easier hike. Pretty rocky with some cliffs and a few steep sections but overall not bad. Multnomah falls were definitely worth checking out too, Great accessibility there.

Nestled in the heart of Oregon, Mt. Hood stands as a majestic volcanic peak that captivates adventurers and nature lovers alike. This iconic mountain is not only home to the historic Timberline Lodge but also boasts an array of outdoor activities such as skiing, climbing, and hiking. As one of Oregon's renowned Seven Wonders, it features North America's only year-round ski resort perched on its slopes.
Drove up to Mt Hood for the day. Breath taking views, great restaurants for lunch, and even taking the lift up the mountain. I didn't know you could ski the mountain year round here. The lodge is also a great stop to hear about their history and grab a cocktail in their bar.

It stands out very clearly as a background to Lake Trillium some 55-60 miles from Portland. Most of the time it’s laden with great snow and looks golden when sun is shining.

In October 2022, the four of us—dad, mom, me, and mom’s mom—took a scenic drive to Mt. Hood. We didn’t hike, but viewing the mountain from the car was still incredible. The peak was majestic, rising above forests of autumn-colored trees, and the crisp October air made the scenery feel even more vivid. It was a peaceful way to enjoy the natural beauty without leaving the car, and the drive offered several pull-offs to pause and take in the panoramic views. Even just seeing Mt. Hood from the road made for a memorable family outing.

It's a good place to see the snow mountains in summer and camping. The lake below the snow mountain is very beautiful, you can paddle inside to relax and enjoy the spectacular views of the snow mountains. It seems to be much cooler in summer time, a good place to get out of hot summer. The camping site was very quite.

The Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum (WAAAM) is a treasure trove for enthusiasts of vintage vehicles, showcasing an impressive collection of restored cars and planes from the 1920s and 1930s across two expansive hangars. Visitors may initially feel overwhelmed by the sheer size of the museum, which continues to grow with each visit. The dedicated staff and friendly volunteers enhance the experience, offering fascinating stories about the exhibits as they roam around on scooters.
Great experience for all ages. Among the cars and airplanes you will find antiques of all types, stories and photos. Beautiful displays. Everything is sparkling clean and you can get up close, too. We got to meet the founder as he was crusing around and enjoyed a conversation about how this all came together, how they keep it going (it's a nonprofit) and big plans for continued growth.

We arrived for their annual Fly-in. It is always an excellent event. The museum itself is phenomenal. The variety of airplanes, antique cars and various other collections are mind boggling but, incredibly well curated, so not too overwhelming. Their staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. On the fly-in weekend, anywhere from 200 - 400 vintage airplanes fly in from all over the country. There are some flight demonstrations, author talks, you can pay to fly in a vintage airplane, plus lots more exhibits, food and souvenirs. The museum is worthy of a visit any time but, during the fly-in it is extra wonderful.

Amazing museum with stuff 100+ years old that still works! We spent close to 2 hours here and loved every minute of it. Kudos to the great volunteers who staff this museum. If you're nearby or traveling through the Columbia Gorge, definitely pay a visit.

Very nice place to visit. We really enjoyed seeing so much planes, cars and a OTHER items and occasional videos to watch in the hangers. I really liked that most ALL the pieces and cars and such are in exquisit PRESTINE condition. _ like WOW!!!!. A few Things I wasn't very happy about; 1. that they are quite PRICEY. $25 for adults, like $21 for military or active duty people or seniors and 18_ under is like $12. EACH. no family mates, no EBT discounts. Nothing! 2. For the amount they charge, i would THINK that there shouldn't have to be big old drip pans under all the equipment. ESPECIALLY with some of them have obviously been leaking pretty bad. Thry Charge so much, but cant at a bare minimum clean the drip pans so there isn't so much contaminant around. It does detract from the wow of the pieces. 3. While looking around, the " volunteer" guys in the scooters kept coming around. OK_ they already tell you "if you need something or have a question to flag them down and they will be happy to answer any queations..." I DONT have any questions you don't have to b_line for me every time you go down the rows and point out something or make some comment about a piece. YES it IS very cool!! BUT- unless I (ASK) for info or such, i dont need someone tailgating me_ like you have to check on us like were DOING or "TOUCHING" something. It seriously takes a negative toll on the experience. At the same time; at one point my children were really Awing over an electric car from like over 100 years ago; the volunteer came over and pulled back the chain did a bit of describing and let my kids get a much closer view of the car interior, that was pretty cool!
A L — Google review
This was really cool. You can get lost in all of them. I only covered 1/3 of the items. In two hours. Lots to see. And a great bbq food cart, highly rated. And if you really want to go up in a triplane you can. Good family fun!!!!

This is the most complex museum I've been to. It's easier to ask "what don't you have!" A Deusenburg one docent told me! You have to experience this place. Be prepared to spend a couple hours if not more. We came across this place accidentally and were totally blown away!

Wait till end of July-beginning of August! Absolutely loved our visit to this lavender farm! The fields were in full bloom and smelled heavenly—like stepping into a postcard. It’s peaceful, picturesque, and such a lovely spot for a slow stroll or just soaking in the views. The real surprise? The ice cream. It was creamy, refreshing, and just the right balance of floral and sweet—easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The gift shop had plenty of charming finds—soaps, oils, teas, and more—all locally made. Staff were warm and welcoming, happy to answer questions and share stories about the farm. A perfect place to relax, take photos, and treat yourself to something unique. Highly recommend for a summer day escape!

Pleasant visit to the farm. It may have been end of season but the smell was still there. Shop definitely has everything lavender in there! And the soft scoop was fresh and full of flavour. We sat for a while watching the hummingbirds and the world pass by.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Hood River Lavender Farm! Each staff member we spoke to was so friendly and welcoming. We had some Honey Lavender ice cream after a still around the fields and it was the best I have ever had! We took a Lavender candle home from the gift shop and even some homemade bug spray! (This is the best I've ever used) if you are passing through the fruit loop this is definitely worth a stop!

Great spot to check out. They have flaggers guiding you to parking either towards the Winery or towards the lavender. We went to the lavender field side of the operation. Immediately upon exiting the car, you are hit with the wonderful aroma of lavender. Plenty of bushes to chose from. They provide u-pick for $15/zip tie bundle, which includes use of a basket to collect it with and scissors to cut it. They will also wrap it for you when you are done. The lavender ice cream was not my favorite as it was all ice and not really creamy. The views are unbeatable and there is a gift shop with plenty to look at. Very kind and helpful staff working here. Perfect place to for photos, a wedding, or catching up with friends. They also have a wine garden outside as well. Plenty to see and do! P.S. the bees will be buzzing all over while you pick!

Amazing experience - everything smells beautiful. So many more bees than expected! But no honey here...yet! The lavender honey soft serve is the star here. They also have lavender lemon but that is definitely on the tart side. Definitely would return. So many nice parks in the area, too.

This place is a dream. The lavender and lemon ice cream was amazing and very refreshing. The store is full of lavender goods and cute things made by local artists. Very dog friendly… they can’t walk inside the lavender beds which is find by me since they are filled with bees (we need our pollinators!!) but they are welcome throughout the property. The wine garden is amazing! Chill music and plenty of chairs and lounges to hang out. We saw a lot of families having a great time too. Looks like a great place for a family outing.

Delicious wines!!! Great landscapes to see!!! So peaceful and relaxing. It is a short drive from Hood River but the views on that drive are so worth the time. You can appreciate being away from the world and see the fields of green and the mountain in the background. The building is well lit and very nice inside. Has great artwork from the surrounding artists. Then you get to the wine sampling. I took advantage and sampled all the wines I could. $20 for five samples of whatever wines you choose that are on the list. So I got 10 samples of the house wines. Some were dry reds and some were sweet, but oh the flavors hit the palette and sent waves of great taste to your senses. The wines average $20 and above but so worth the price for great Oregon wines.

Very nice winery. Large tasting room. Friendly staff. Convenient to the highway. About 12 wines, 6 whites, 6 reds. We tasted the reds. They were fine but not exceptional. Tasting was a bit pricey at $20. Wines priced a bit high for the quality. Setting is nice but relatively flat. Nice view of Mount Hood. Overall we give it 4 stars.

What a great escape while on the Hood River Fruit Loop. We had a bunch of places highlighted on the map to explore. But we chose to take our time instead of making it a mad dash afternoon. We stopped into Mt. Hood Winery and instantly loved the place. It was a bright sunny day and we had a chance to try there flight of wines and also a few more that they just opened. Each wine was tasteful, great flavor, drinkable and fresh. The team at the winery were beyond gracious, and really wanted us to relax and enjoy. I’m so glad we stopped in and took the time to sample each option. We will be back, the service, the wine and view was ideal for a perfect early fall day in Hood River.

Amazing experience here on July 4th our wine sommelier her name started with an M was very personable. We walked in with no reservation and she was welcoming us. Even when it started to get busy she still made sure to pour our next wine on the list of tastings and the description. I love that you can purchase a bottle and it covers your tasting cost. Wy’east Vineyards is a lovely spot to relax in Hood River. The atmosphere beautifully combines a laid-back vibe with thoughtful décor. It’s unpretentious, offering good energy and stunning views. Plus, the alpacas are sure to capture everyone’s attention. Their Pinot Gris is outstanding! It's crisp, balanced, and incredibly refreshing on a warm afternoon. If you’re in the area, it’s worth stopping by for a glass and a brief escape from the heat.

Wy’East Vineyards was on our list of places to visit and we are so glad we did! They have a fairly large indoor tasting room, but I can’t imagine it gets used that much due to the abundant, gorgeous seating that’s available outside. There are seating arrangements under a trellis of grapevines, seating nestled in the garden off the deck, and plenty of seating for couples or groups on the deck. It’s a very peaceful, chill place that had a variety of very tasty wines. We should know we tried 2 different flights. There’s a flower garden you can pick from, but this late in the season they were mostly picked over. Did I mentioned THEY HAVE ALPACAS?! Just a note: they generally don’t have food trucks during the week, mostly Fridays-Sundays. So call ahead.

This is a unique and charming winery. The setting is lovely with a gorgeous outdoor patio area. You can sit under a trellis covered in grapes. Stroll down to the pond and watch the Llamas grazing. Go indoor in the their tasting room for a flight of wine. There is a boules playing area. There are grapes growing nearby. There are even a couple Moai statues near the vines. The kids found the area fun to hang out in. The wine tasting can be done indoor or on the patio. The wine selection was quite good and the pour are generous. Price of a tasting was $20. Parking is free and there is lots of it. There is food available. We got the cheese and cracker platter which was very good.
