Great museum - we went on Open Cockpit day where they had the planes opened up. They had many volunteers who shared their stories of flying and combat that really enhanced the experience. $5 entry fee was well worth it!

Born and raised in Bloomington but this was my first tjme coming and Im so glad we did. The open cockpit day was so interesting, educational and fun. My son loved sitting in the planes! Definitely recommend.

A small but fascinating museum full of aviation history and passion. The staff is friendly and clearly love what they do. Great place for the whole family.

Review Date: May 18th, 2012 These birds have been permanently grounded. Every childhood boy likes one of three things: planes, trains, or automobiles. I leaned towards things that could fly, especially at supersonic speeds. So, it came to my surprise that there was a aviation museum within a reasonable driving distance from my home. I have actually been here about 3 times total since my first visit. I think I was with Matt the first time here. I think we explored a bit of Bloomington-Normal before a concert in the evening. The museum itself is just a little ways off the one of the main busy roads that runs through Bloomington. I actually think this up the road from the Bloomington Airport. How fitting! It’s not a massive museum by any means. The building itself is probably no larger than your local fast food eateries. But within those small confines is a tremendous amount of history. Each time I’ve come here, I’ve signed the guest book and donated a few bucks on top of paying the admission fees. The price is listed on their website. It was $5/each for adults. As I said, the building itself housed a ton of information regarding aviation. They had a section dedicated to NASA. They had tons of props and displays scattered throughout. They had graphs with a ton of information. Suffice to say, I can’t put in words what photos do better. While I did supply photos below, due to limited storage space, I couldn’t upload nearly enough photos to show everything. While the inside was full of information and relics from aviation’s past, the things I was dying to see were outside. The things that flew in another time and in another place. On one of the trips, we lucked upon a volunteer who was giving tours. He gave us a quick tour of the jets, planes, and aircraft outside and then let us explore to our hearts content. A few of my family members were veterans of the military, mostly in the Rangers and Marines. My dad tried to enlist but due to a hearing issue, wasn’t allowed in. By the time I was ready to join, my body had too many injuries to even think I could try to enlist (I was a very active kid and while I never broke a bone, I did do a lot of damage to my joints). Matt was also in the Marines for an undetermined about of time. So, suffice to say we all had some interest in the military in some way, shape, or form. Following the path outside winds you around all that there is to see. It was extremely cool to be able to go up to any of the aviation vehicles and see them in person. Some of them had ladders that you could take up and see in to the cockpit. They are locked shut so don’t get any wild ideas of hopping in and taking off. I do think they have special events where they open them and allow people to get in and have their photos taken. Check their website for details on that and other events they have. In the end, this place was great to check out. I loved getting to see the jets up close and person. I took one of my favorite photos ever and it’s included below. Can you guess which that is? If you have kids that love aircraft or have a general interest yourself, do oneself a favor and check this place out if possible. “Negative Ghost Rider, the pattern is full.”

This space is a staple in our community, and also a fabulous place for a wedding! The location is wonderful for checking out art and local businesses.

This is a very nice venue. The staff is always helpful and friendly. We have seen many shows at this facility. The venue is user friendly with clean restrooms and large foyer area. The acoustics are good and the seating is comfortable. There isn’t really a bad seat in the house. Good views from just about any seat you get. If I had to mention one drawback it might be the concessions area. It’s more like a snack area with candy bars, popcorn, and drinks. The selection is limited as far as that goes. We enjoy this venue over others we have been to because this one is more user friendly and classy. They continue to expand their variety of shows here from Comedy to Musicals, so there is something for all interests. We will continue to see shows at this venue. Keep up the good work.

My husband and I had our wedding here in March of 2022 and it was INCREDIBLE. Brian and the staff are amazing to work with and I would highly recommend this venue if you are wanting a beautiful blank slate wedding venue to work with that allows for you to pick and choose your own outside vendors! We used palace events for rentals to completely transform the space. Brian and the staff were extremely helpful with working out the logistics/ ins and outs of set up and take down with all the moving parts. The seats we picked online were not what we were expecting. The staff there helped us to get into a different set of seats that better accommodated our needs. We greatly appreciated the service they provided. Oh, and the show was great too! No bad seats to see or hear any of the performance!

A great place to see shows great audio and not a bad seat in the house. The outside events are always well organized affordable and fun. The most amazing venue in town to rent out for weddings and such very reasonable price for the memories of the omnius of the building!!! 🎉🎉🎉👍👍👍

The performance center is an amazing historical building with great acoustics. Every seat in the house is a good one. I highly recommend the center as it provides affordable cultural opportunities to our community.

This building was built in the 1921 and is beautiful. I saw the movie Napoleon Dynomite as part of it's 20th anniversary tour. Three of the actors talked after and took questions. I sat in the balcony and had a good view of the stage. The seats were ok but there isn't much leg room between the seats.

Made a spontaneous stop on our road trip to this sweet little zoo! The grounds were well kept and the staff was friendly. We saw lots of animals! The wallabies were my favorite part. It was cool to get up-close and personal with all the animals.

Such a cute little zoo. They do have 3 interactive areas. One with goats, one with wallabys and wallaroos, and one birt sanctuary. They have a tiger, snow leopards, red panda, and many more animals. There is plenty of room for RV's to park. It is handicap accessible.

Miller Park Zoo is the right size for a fun walk through. Most of the animals we saw were indoors because of the cold. We didn't interact with staff much but when we needed directions, they were helpful and friendly. Prices were affordable. Unfortunately, the cafe was closed, so we weren't able to support the zoo by eating lunch there. I recommend a visit. I recommend.

For being a smaller zoo we had a great time here. We went through the whole zoo twice in 2 hours but I think we saw every animal because they were all out and active. We loved the baby anyeater, it's the 1st time we've seen one of those.

My family and I loved this zoo. Love the different variety of animals. So much fun.

I want to first say that I love the park and have fished this park for 25 plus years not a issue I was told that I could could fish all night as long as I had rods in the water ... So we all know there we have to fish all night long to catch the specimen im chasing dont bite alot during day ..so we lost 😢 a friend who we have been fishing for over 10 years we all get together and fish many from other states we do a 3 day session ..so I decided to go a few weeks early and fish on my vacation...then it happened the first night park surcuity told me I had to leave park closes at 10pm I said ok but I been doing this longer then you have alive ..he said there is homeless problem in the park I said do I look home less he wouldn't answer.....he left around 10:30 then it happend 24.5 like u see in Pic what I came for showed up......fri morning superintendent shows up tells me same story homeless bs and if I let you do it I have to let everybody else's I said fair ..so I said what if I call city and ask for permit he told me I am the city I said really ok I'll be out by 10.pm ..so we Googled park superintendent we have emails sent to ask for permission to fish this park 6 times a year for our lost members we have fished with for years ...I know it's a 13acre lake but holds many memories and large fish that we so love to catch ..we only asking to over nite 3 days for late fall months Oct Nov 3days that we have been doing for over 25 years ... thanks for your time cory...

A great place to visit. A family fun place. I'd highly recommend a visit here. It is a small gem with lots of very cool animals.

I have gone twice this week to see movies! It is one of my favorite places in town! They also host events, and I have had the privilege of photographing a few including a recent Coalescence Theatre Project production!

A wonderful theatre filled with employees who are passionate about cinema. Love the variety in screenings ranging from oldies but goodies to new releases. My favorite place to see a movie :)

I've been here many times since my childhood. Always a fun time! This old classic 1 screen theater has been nicely restored. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are raffles for free tickets or refreshments at every screening.

The theater opened in 1937 and has a cool art deco flair from the era of great early theater buildings. It is owned by the city of Normal and operated by a non-profit. It was closed for a time in the 1990s, but reopened after being purchased and renovated by the city in 1993. This theater is a true treasure and worth a visit.

This theater is magnificent. Friendly staff. Anne was the manger on duty and along with Taylor provided excellent service! They even have a raffle for every showing where you can win a free ticket and popcorn. All you need is your ticket stub. Cheap seats, snacks and movies that you won’t see playing anywhere else. Love this place!

I photograph weddings throughout Illinois (Ernst Jacobsen Photography) and recently had the awesome opportunity to photograph a wedding at the Normal Theater. It has been gorgeously restored in a beautiful art deco vibe! The inside restoration includes plus, coral colored seating, blue, maroon and salmon colored walls, high-modern style aisle lights and an elegantly layered ceiling of neon lights. Aside from the unique visuals of the theater, it is conveniently located in the middle of Uptown Normal so we're just a few steps for ISU's Quad and possible reception venues whether Medici (for smaller weddings) or the Marriott. Highly recommend if you're looking for a unique venue to hold your wedding ceremony.

The Normal Theater is a great historical venue refurbished to look the way it did in the 1920s and is run by volunteers. We love the the variety of films available. Admission is reasonable, popcorn is only $1 and they even have a drawing or trivia before the show with prizes! Everyone is so friendly. It's like stepping back in time! Those ceiling lights in the photo are real neon lights. Just be sure to dress accordingly. In the winter, they turn up the heat quite high.

Fabulous house! So glad we went there. Our tour guide was young and knowledgeable! I was so excited to be in a house that Abe Lincoln stood in. I was intrigued the whole time I spent there. Great experience and loved the stories! I would give it more than 5 stars.

Beautiful house, we enjoyed hearing about the history and enjoyed the tour. They don’t make them like they use to. I caught a glare on a door that you could almost pass for a ghost… maybe Sara? Maybe she does not like all of the visitors? :)

I really loved the history of it! Judge Davis had influence and helped president Lincoln! I also learned different information culturally about Christmas decorations and why the Teddy bear was called Teddy bear. It felt warm and nice. Usually mansions feel stuffy and museum like but this was not the case! They took good care of it and I really loved being there! The people that worked there went above and beyond with the tours and information!

We had such a wonderful time visiting the David Davis Mansion. Our tour guide, Jeff, gave us a long and detailed tour that was both informative and engaging. He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and made the history of the mansion come alive. One highlight was learning about David Davis’s close connection to Abraham Lincoln, which added an even deeper historical significance to our visit. That piece of history was fascinating and memorable. We highly recommend the David Davis Mansion to anyone visiting Bloomington. It’s a beautiful historic home with a rich story, and with guides like Jeff, you’re guaranteed an excellent experience.

(And thank you fir the clarification about the County) We had a wonderful expirence there. Howie was our Guide. I could not believe how similar that mansion is to our modern conveniences now. It just shows how far we've come in technology. Also Judge Davis himself as a strangley unsung hero and historical figure in American history. It is shocking to me how little is written in this man. He was Acting Vice President of the United States and a Supreme Court Judge yet little to nothing outside of Wikipedia is written. McClean County has all 19,000 documents in exchange for them keeping the Mansion going as a mueseum piece and historic site basically. It's also shocking to me how well-perserved the site is, it's nearly how exactly it was way back when. My 1 year old daughter loved coming here and seeing everything so did my wife. I noticed one of the paintings being that of the 2nd French Revolution, and inquired about it. Nobody had ever asked about that painting. Come to find out it is a protest painting. Judge Davis had it for that reason. They also had political cartoons from the period which, according to the Guide, a lot of younger people wouldn't believe how little had changed in political discourse on this country. It was just a fun very educational expirence and I'm very glad this city and county is preserving this property. Thank you to everyone we met there on-site, you were all gracious hosts.

Pretty cool place if you’re into old Victorian homes and American history. The volunteers there were all very nice and gave a great tour. Would recommend. Just know that the video and tours start at the top of the hour and there isn’t much to see if you don’t go on the tour since you cannot access the interior of the house without a guide. So really no point to go after hours.

I visited the mansion during their Christmas at the mansions festival. Most of the rooms were decorated for Christmas. There were many trees and other decorations. The mansion is always good. Place to visit throughout the year as they do themed room decorations on a regular basis.

3 floors of fun for kids of all ages! My two (4 & 5) had a ball running around and climbing on practically everything. There's plenty of learning materials, but the activity engagement is outstanding. They were constantly on the move, shifting from one "wow!" to the next. Expect to spend a minimum of an hour here, upwards of 3 - 4.

This place was amazing! We met up with family here so the 6 kids could all play together! They loved it! They never wanted us leave the current floor, but when they went to the next floor up, there was something even MORE exciting to do there! They also let you leave and come back all day, your receipt gets you in all day. You can also go get food (or bring in food) and eat at the tables on the 2nd floor. Super super helpful and awesome!!! We will be back!

The best children’s museum I’ve ever been to; definitely better than anything in Dallas, TX. We always make it a point to visit when we’re in town and my kids always want to go back. A fantastic place to play, explore, and learn, for the whole family.

Five stars because it's a great experience for my kids as they don't come here often (maybe once a year when we visit family). If we were local this would quickly lose its value. A lot of the exhibits haven't changed since I was a kid 20 years ago, when they probably should have.

For how big the place is you would think it would be better. Half the stuff for the stations were broken like the 2 way call booth, the stomp the bug floor projector or pieces missing like the build your own sock puppets was some nasty looking socks and there was 1 eyeball and a hat to decorate the socks with. We found ourselves struggling to do things so we could say we got our moneys worth. We traveled 1½ hrs each way for not a whole lot. It was okay for a one time visit but won't return.

There are lots of things to do. They have three floors of activities. The open floor plan makes it hard to lose your children. Smiling and polite staff everywhere. My four children are between the ages of two and eleven. They all had a blast. The gifts in the gift shop are not too expensive. It was fun, and they were able to leave with souvenirs. We will definitely return.

My son had an absolute blast and barely even wanted to leave the first floor! I've never been in a place like this so it was really neat to experience for me as well! It was so interactive for both the parents and child! They also do an amazing job of consistently keeping it picked up!

This is a great museum with very friendly staff and amazing architecture

Just wanted to add a photo of the nearby Miller Davis building, taken on a clear evening in February of 2025. Interesting fact -- Abraham Lincoln spent some time here in the 1840's when he was a young practicing attorney in his 30's, prior to his political life.

This place was awesome. We went on a free day and spent about 2 hours inside. There are many displays that show artifacts from a past time, all meticulously kept, with easy to read factoids by them. There are 4 floors of things to look at and do, including a miniature farm from ‘back in the day’ with activities for the kids. The library is packed full of books from modern day all way way back to the 1800s. If you are researching something and call ahead, they will pull any information they think could be relevant and have it on a table for you when you get there. All the staff was helpful and extremely polite.

The McLean County Museum of History is a well-curated museum that brings local history to life with engaging exhibits and interactive displays. The building itself is historic and adds to the experience. It’s an educational and enriching visit for all ages, especially for those interested in learning more about the region’s past and cultural development.

Review Date: April 18th, 2012 A pretty cool museum. I’m not sure what it is about this museum that I like but it’s a fun place to visit. It seems that every time I came here, there was always something new to discover. They had some fun and interactive exhibits that we played with and took a ton of goofy photos of us interacting with them. There were some cool exhibits on the history of certain things from the past. I’ve been here 3 times in total and each time was a blast. I have a bit of an interest in history, so it was fun to find out some local history of the area. I was surprised to see one of those single-engine planes on one of the lower levels. That was a fun discovery. Since I haven’t been there in awhile, I really don’t know what else to say about the museum. I’m sure the exhibits have changed since then so I don’t want to rattle on too much about stuff that might not be there anymore. It’s just one of those places that you need to see in person.

I was able to make it to the McLean Museum in time to see the exhibits they had it was a very nice and well kept the museum. Apparently this is actually a courthouse that Abraham Lincoln practiced law in, this time when I went in the exhibit was the pedal cars and stories about the early pioneers and early settlers of the nation. Definitely a nice time, you should try to go, if this is something that interests you.

Awesome museum.. for 10 dollars plus tax… you will learn a rich history about Mclean Town, Abraham Lincoln’s work in this town, towns evolution from Native Americans, Immigrants to what is now today… Great small but full of history museum. Highly recommended.

My favorite place to walk & run- love how wooded and shaded it is. Thank you for the many public restrooms and water fountains.

My favorite thing about Bloomington/Normal by far. I’ve visited and walked/jogged/biked this trail since I was in college and it never gets old. The trail runs through a large majority of Bloomington/Normal and takes you straight to Uptown Normal. I’ve used the path to walk to and from work and it is safe, quiet, serene, and so well kept. I oftentimes walk from different starting points and am always amazed at how long the trail runs. I find new legs of it all of the time! No graffiti, garbage, noise pollution, or negative experiences with other people on the trail. It truly is so nice living in a town with such a great walking space. We typically start at Underwood Park and choose which direction to walk from there. Highly recommend at all times of year!!

Great place to enjoy biking

Amazingly beautiful, well maintained, and safe trail! I am a professor at ISU & I take biking breaks in between work, so relaxing to walk or run or bike! On hot summer days the trail is ~10 degrees cooler. Be careful on quiet cold days...go with someone, there has been very few incidents, I had a close call too. The probability is extremely low, but still be careful ladies!

There's a cat that wanders around the trail and I named them constitution. Say hi to constitution if you see them and give them a head pat and a "how do you do, partner?".

I run a 5k on this trail each year, and it is very beautiful! If I lived closer to the area, then I would definitely use it frequently!

A beautiful and well maintained trail. When I’m back in Bloomington, a long walk on the trail helps me shake off the dust of travel.

I haven't been here since I was a teenager probably before the remodel but I know my son's school has taken him here on community days so I wanted to share that moment with him by bringing him here. My son is 6 and Autistic/Non-Verbal so outtings can be a bit of a challenge. I will say the staff there were really nice I would have liked some additional help though since I didn't know how to get things set up and again it was our first time there since the remodel. I did have to come back to the desk after failing to know how to set up the getting bowling part. I will give it to the place that they've come along way in what they offer in types of games and variety but for someone who was new I had no idea what I was doing and trying to be aware of my toddler on my own wasn't helping. We did come right in the morning so there wasn't a bunch of ppl there which was great that helped. Now in ref to pricing I will say that outting was a little on the expensive side we ended up spending roughly about 70 or so for 2 games of bowling for 2 ppl my son and I and food afterwards. I don't remember there being a kids drink offered but glad I carried juice on me for times like this as well as snacks as we waited about 15-20 mins for food though it was hot and fresh I will say and we enjoyed it. The experience in an overall sense was enjoyable however in ref to being an affordable thing we would like to do again that maybe a different story.

We held a family reunion in the outdoor patio with Bloomington Normal being a central location for all of us - even in the heat, with the fans and a breeze - we were comfortable enough to have a wonderful time in a great space! Erica took care of the details so we were able to enjoy our reunion. She was flexible with the needs of our group and extremely helpful. Everything went according to plan - really could not have had a nicer day! We were pleased to have such a nice salad, cold sandwiches and pizza, and dessert was a hit too! I think our group tried every activity but the arcade! Thank you Pheasant Lanes!

This place was alot of fun & very budget friendly with reasonable prices. We enjoyed a few drinks at the bar and mini golf, but they also had bowling and a game room. Fun for the whole family, date night or a night out with friends. We didn't have their pizza but it definitely looked really good. We had reservations for dinner or I would have wanted to give it a try!!

We went to Pheasant Lanes in Bloomington for a Labor Day work get-together on a Monday. Since they were open until 10 PM, I asked the front desk for a lane until 10. The staff told me if I took it at 8:15 it would only run until 9:15, so I agreed to start one lane at 8:30 and another later when the rest of my group arrived. I specifically told the receptionist I needed the lanes until 10 PM, and I was charged accordingly. I ended up spending nearly $300 for my team, but at 9:30 they shut everything down without any notice. The second lane that I opened at 9 PM was closed after just 30 minutes. Nobody told me in advance that they planned to close early. This was very disappointing—especially since I’ve hosted similar events here before. The first time, the staff was great and very helpful, but the last couple of times the service has gone downhill. The communication is poor, the staff doesn’t seem to care about customers, and it left me feeling embarrassed in front of my team who barely got 10–15 minutes of bowling after I had paid for the time. I truly expected better consistency and customer service. Note: I am also posting the statement of how much I spent at Pheasant Lanes to show exactly what happened.

Nice family fun center. The bowling lanes are in great shape and the facility was clean. The pizza was very good and the price was reasonable.

My son had a great time here (age 7) learning to bowl!!! My son beat me in all of our games as I'm a "spin" bowler and the lanes aren't oiled for it...but I could care less as he is loving the game and still learning and we had a really fun time!!!! Prices are very reasonable and the staff is SUPER nice!!! Wonderful place for a young family to go!

I’m not sure if this was a recent change, or if staff was just uninformed of bowling options, but this bowling trip was very expensive for our group of 7. My family came to visit me and we were looking for something fun to do together. My dad asked how bowling is handled at this alley and we were told you pay by the hour. According to other reviews, this doesn’t seem to have always been the case. We proceeded to play for an hour and, with a group of seven, two being kids, it’s no surprise there was lots of downtime between bowlers and ultimately ate away at our hour of play. Giving 3 stars because the kids had lots of fun in the arcade!

Fantastic farmers market with a bunch of amazing vendors. I could easily spend a couple hours shopping here every week

Great crowd today and lots of friendly vendors. Lots of food stuff and non-food stuffs. And we have a local celeb from Forged in Fire selling his wares.

Awesome food, friends, kindness and fresh vegetables

Love going to the farmers market. There are so many different vendors there that have fresh vegetables. I also like the honey vendors. New this last year were two cheese vendors both of which have wonderful products.

The farmer's market is a great place to buy sweets, meats, sauces, and hand crafted items like some really pretty jewelry. There is usually a singer present as well as some open store fronts for galleries. Nice to just walk around even if not buying anything.

This one of the larger farmers markets that I have attended. There is a large selection of local grown produce and meat. We have made it a habit of getting some mushrooms from one local dealer and always try to different types prepared with leeks and garlic. I have never been disappointed with anything we have purchased at the local farmers market from brats to micro greens. Everyone we dealt was very knowledgeable and friendly. We make the trip every weekend.

The grounds and theater are nothing short of breathtaking. You were transported back in time as you walked to the theater itself. It is magical! The actors were amazing. They did an amazing job bringing the characters to life.

A rare treat to see the world premiere of the stage adaptation of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility, performed outside, under the stars, at The Ewing Cultural Center!! If you haven't been to see a play here in this wonderful theater, you are missing out on something special!!

Wonderful shows and beautiful venue. People staffing are awesome.

Measure for measure was absolutely incredible. This cast is meant for Broadway, and I feel so honored to be sitting in these stands, witnessing this incredible play of arts.

Illinois shakespeare festival was amazing as always. My wife and I bring dinner to eat at these beautiful grounds before watching the show. Highly recommend

Well. Sad to say This mall like so many others across the United States slowly dying Thanks to Amazon It still has a few good stores But most of the large anchor stores have already pulled out, but I will say this Lots of good parking available

Y’all Need To Do Better With This Mall, It’s A Shame that there’s literally NO STORES In This Mall What So Ever.. Is It Because You Guy Raised The Rent So High That Those Who Had A Store There Could Not Afford It ?? Why Not Change It To An Outlet Mall Or DO SOMETHING All The Fast Food And Other BS In Bloomington Normal.. The Least Y’all Can Do Is Do Something about Them Empty Ahh MALL.

If you like walking, this is the place for you. If you like shopping, this is not the place for you. There's probably about five stores that are currently operating in this downfall of a mall. Place has seen better days

Owners of the Mall have let the building age and fall apart, while increasing rent. Running the majority of the stores out of the location. Shame on the City of Bloomington for allowing this.

Why u close on weekends? What if I wanna go on weekends? And I can't go on weekdays cuz of school. I hate that. Atleast make it available for weekend for a couple of hours. Good cemetery tho

We had a wonderful time on the cemetery walk through the cemetery today.

It is a very well-maintained cemetery. I've visited many cemeteries in my lifetime, but I have never seen a cemetery that offers a scavenger hunt. It's a list of things you can find in the cemetery: star, lamb, dog, acorn, heart, wings, etc. There's a wooden structure near the entrance where you can pick up a list, if you'd like to participate in the scavenger hunt.

Cemeteries are for the living and Evergreen has always been a positive experience! I've been coming here for the annual Cemetery Walk in the autumn and to look after two (2) plots. Pathways are clear to ride your bike and walk your dogs. Friends, please do your part and keep Evergreen clean! Lastly, if you see a person (including myself) at a grave, that is NOT an open invitation to walk over to that person and impose your religious beliefs. Religion and/or lack of religion is a personal choice. Be respectful of others- even if they don't share your religion/practices.

I have never buried someone there, but everyone seems to be resting comfortably. I go here about once a week to walk, think, talk to God, and read headstones. It is fascinating some of the graves are so old and in such good shape. This is a wonderful piece of history.

While beautiful and full of history, I am deeply disappointed with Evergreen Cemetery’s policy of throwing away grave decorations and memorials only a week after they were placed on the grave. While I understand real flowers need to be discarded, I fail to understand why fake flowers and other items are tossed after one week. And then to require people to purchase a $300 vase from the cemetery in order to avoid their items being discarded? That is wrong. Many people who visit weekly simply cannot afford to bring new decorations every week. It is incredibly disrespectful to visitors, and gives off the impression that this cemetery views the family and friends of the deceased as profit rather than grieving members of the community.

I have loved ones buried here and have always found the staff to be very helpful and supportive. They go above and beyond to take care of the families they work with. I've also attended their events and am truly inspired by the staff's dedication to the community and the families whose loved ones are buried there.

My kids love this place. It's great for all ages, and my 3 kids (10,7,5) all are able to find areas to stay engaged. They recently remodeled the inside to switch out some attractions. We like the monthly pass where members can come everyday for 2 hours, as The kids can go burn energy while I work in the parent lounge. If I want to jump with them, it's only $5. I also like that I can stop and start my membership anytime, if needed. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

We have had such an amazing experience at Altitude! From the moment we walk in, the staff has been incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. You can tell they truly enjoy working with kids and families. Their energy makes the whole visit even more fun and welcoming. A special shoutout to Carrie, the manager, who went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. She was not only professional and organized but also genuinely kind and approachable. We bring my son here often! He loves it and the staff is always so friendly. The facility is well maintained, as well! Definitely worth it to bring your kids here and wear them out!!

I loved playing basketball on the new sport court! It was fun that I couldn’t even leave it! It was like my favorite spot to hang out at and play basketball at!

9 year old twins love this place! There are a lot of different things to do to keep them entertained. I also like their upstairs lounge couches. Staff is really nice and good to the kids! Only giving 4 stars because I do wish they would allow outside water bottles.

This place, it’s so fun and amazing. Every time I walk into those doors I know it’s going to be a great night. I walk in and see the happy faces of everyone around I suggest taking everyone you know here. It’s family friendly, the workers are kind and help out anyone that walks through that entrance. My daughter enjoyed the new attractions and liked the giant air bag! I like the basketball and soccer area. I do wish we could purchase a 30 minute pass and bring in our own water.

Wedding and engagement sessions are a dream to photograph here! Please be sure to get a permit as it allows Ewing to maintain the beautiful grounds we all enjoy. The cost to photograph here is well worth the price. If you also get an opportunity to enjoy the Shakespeare Festival, I highly encourage it! Ewing is a friend of the arts!

This is an amazing old Manor House situated in lovely grounds and surrounded by beautiful gardens that now serves as a culturalcenter. Tours are only offered on Monday so that we, unfortunately, weren't able to see the inside. However, the garden is always open to the public weather permitting. On a tour of the garden there are great views of the exterior of the house. The site is also home to the Annual Illinois Shakespeare Festival.

This is a great place to visit. The landscaping and grounds are beautiful. If you can get a tour of the house, it is exquisite. It is also a great hosting location for the annual Shakespeare festival.

The beautiful estate of the late Hazle Buck Ewing comprises the manor itself which provides a gorgeous backdrop for your wedding ceremony, as well as acres of beautiful gardens for pre and post ceremony photo opportunities. If you are looking for a unique, historic venue for your wedding ceremony and/or reception, I highly recommend visiting Ewing Manor.

This was our fourth year coming for a weekend to enjoy the Shakespeare festival. The grounds, buildings and theater are beautiful. This is our favorite venue for watching plays and picnicking .

Came in from out of town and happened upon this place. There was no event going on, but it was still absolutely worth it to just walk around and explore. The whole place is gorgeous, and provides a peaceful walk around the grounds. Definitely a hidden gem in Blo-No!

I had a fine meal here. Often the vegan options at restaurants are sub-par or considered as discretionary additions to the menu. The effort put into your vegan dishes was pristine and delicious for people unfamiliar with vegan appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The zero-proof orange drink had changing, lasting notes and changed how I view zero-proof drinks. Great atmosphere and volume, both indoor and outdoor seating. Thank you for a great experience.

My kids took me here for our Mother's day dinner. Our Waiter was phenomenal. He certainly made a very special evening more special. The food-delicious, the atmosphere- relaxed and inviting. Absolutely will be back.

Food was amazing. Loved the cornflake chicken. Pleasantly surprised by the sashima, I ended up ordering seconds! The only down side was it took 35 minutes for the creme brulee to arrive. The server acknowledged the delay, which was appreciated.

Our 23rd Wedding Anniversary was yesterday,9/28/25! We were in Bloomington on a side mission and planned to have dinner afterwards. My husband suggested Epiphany or another restaurant. I wasn’t sure b/c I don’t like Sushi, but was intrigued by “farm to table” feature. Then, nice we were having trouble deciding my husband said let’s just go home and eat at another restaurant. I said no, we’re here let’s try Epiphany! What an AMAZING experience!!! The service, especially our server, was attentive, exuberant plus knew the menu well, so was an excellent foodie guide! The manager stopped by several times to check on us, and she was also extremely knowledgeable and excited to share details about the businesses and the farm! We were asked about dessert and was thinking of choosing the Choc-Blondie, so asked our server for direction, he said don’t order dessert “I have something special planned for you and their preparing it now!” OMG!!! He brought the Choc-Blondie out with a flourish!! EVEN ADDED A SPARKLER! This place, their care, attention to detail, FOOD, experience, atmosphere was second to none!! What a wonderful anniversary dinner!!! We will totally be back!!! To Epiphany and Staff: Game changer!! You are on a whole different level and I can’t wait to return!!😋

WOW! This has easily become our favorite restaurant on our very first visit here. The food was phenomenal! Very cute atmosphere and vibes are immaculate. The menu is huge as they have multiple kitchens, so there is something for everyone. Staff is so friendly and service is top notch. Your drinks will never run low and they are constantly pre-bussing the tables. Lucy was incredible and she had so many wonderful suggestions. Experience was fantastic, will definitely be making many trips back.

Last minute change of plans to celebrate my wife’s birthday after Johna’s let us down so bad. Epiphany Farms in blooming got us in and hit the ball out of the park! Friendly from the moment we walked in to the perfect plates! Hats off for one of the best experiences we have had in Bloomington! The ingredients at this place are second to none! Clean, friendly and a genuine culinary delight!!!!

Wonderful staff and a decent size venue. Parking is kinda of complicated however there are many paid lots nearby for easier access to the venue. We had an amazing time seeing my favorite band live. Definitely would go to another concert here

REO SPEEDWAGON and Loverboy put on a very good concert! Fairly quick in and out of building. Parking could be better as well as the floor seats, but overall, a good evening. We were on the floor, 2nd row center. The sound quality was decent. A pretty nice arena.

Went here for Disney on Ice and the whole experience was magical! Seats were comfortable and spacious. The bathrooms were clean and family bathroom was huge. The concessions weren’t badly priced either. We would come back again for another event.

Went to see WWE SuperShow on June 22nd 2024. The Arena is lets just say unique for seating it's normal ballpark like seats. For handicap it didn't see accessable as I witnessed a woman on crutches be told to go up and down steeper steps with no regard of her safety downward. Staff didn't seem like they cared about the people outside of the guardrail by the main stage for the wrestling event. Good lighting, sound and usage of video boards. The event was 5/5 from the crowd and performers themselves. Staff wasn't very helpful for when they opened as well just opened and door and didn't say anything about if we could proceed further. Parking is really simple. Option one the parking garage or option two the lots they charged $10 for one and $20 for the other. Online it didn't mention this so to some I'm guessing this was a slap in the mouth.

I had a good time last night seeing Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Bayley, and Gunther. The Grossinger arena was a decent arena. My only complaint is that Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair were on the flyer for the show. However, they didn't wrestle last night.

Avoid at all costs. Attended Megadeth show here Wednesday, September 27, 2023. The show must not have been well advertised, because the stage was in the middle of the main floor and there were a lot of available seats. With less than three songs left in the set, "security" got ahold of a fan, one guy. It must have been brutal, because of what happened next... The band's singer, Dave Mustaine STOPPED THE SONG to tell the FOUR "security" guards to stop hitting the guy. The scuffle (if you can call it that) moved to the aisle and from where I was, I could see two staff holding the guy up and two punching him in the face. In what world is this ok? Even if he was drunk, you gotta rough him up like that?? Mustaine continued on, he said the show was over unless those bully "security" were removed from the building. A few minutes (and more wasted time that could be spent playing music) later, it was reported the problematic people were gone from the building, along with Megadeth's time to perform. They played their final number and the show ended, but the atmosphere was definitely changed. If this is the way this place runs at a fraction of capacity, imagine how crazy it would be with MORE people in attendance? The arena has not issued any kind of public statement to explain, justify, apologize for, etc the actions of it's staff and the incredibly unprofessional and dangerous manner in which they conduct themselves, despite repeated requests to. Many others, as well as myself will issue our reply though, do not visit this venue. You are not safe here, you are not welcome here. Maybe it's just a heavy metal thing, maybe it's just we who aren't welcome or safe here. I'd love some clarity, but I doubt I'll ever receive any. So whatever, I'm gonna do what's best for me, and that's never return to this dangerous, unsafe space.

I have spent many hours in this arena, with my son's hockey practices and games, professional hockey and concerts and it is a great venue! Went to one of the 1st concerts since Covid. Plenty of free parking within walking distance. The security check, food sales seating all went smooth. Mask policy was being followed and everyone in our group had a great time! The sound was awesome and I would definitely go back for other events

This is a nice little diner-type spot with food and ice cream. I have yet to try the actual food, but I did find myself tempted by some of the lunch specials they had going on. Instead, I went for two scoops.if.Almond Joy in a waffle cone and it was pretty darn good. The atmosphere is kitchy and fun with a 50s feel to it.

Girl working behind counter extremely rude. She gave us our sodas i couldnt belive how small the medium soda was so i asked her about she fired back very rudley i told you it was a medium. Then my meal comes out completely wrong didnt get what ordered at all. The service here absolutely sucks. How ever the food is very good so they do have that going for them……. Even with free refils that is absolutely tiny anyone in there right mind would question it asking if that. Was a medium..

Poorly managed is an understatement! Nothing like paying 26 bucs for 2 orders and get the food of one order. Stopped in last night for 2 Pulled Pork sandwiches and 2 orders of baked beans. Got home and only got a 1/2 cup of baked beans in each order and the pulled pork had very little meat on this. we have ordered this several times and this time we got screwed. I go in today to say something and no one gives a rip. I am done with these clowns. It seems they feel they are perfect and if you have a problem they make you feel like you're trying to screw them out of more food or money. They can screw someone else they are now off my list of places to eat.

I would just get ice cream here. Food orders end up being a disaster. I've brought my family here because it's an iconic local business, but every time we order food something gets messed up. The last straw for me was when we recently went and ordered some hamburgers. And like other reviewers comments it took forever. We saw others that ordered their food way after I did and they got their food within a few minutes. After about 20 minutes, I inquired about my order. The place was being run by teens, not one adult in sight. Finally got one teens' attention who took some action to see what happened to my order. So kudos to the one gal that took action to get my order done. She asked the kids in the back about my order and they all looked confused. Luckily I had requested a receipt for my order because they couldn't find my order and by this point had waited over 1/2 an hour. By the time my family got our food, it was almost an hour later and the burgers were burnt to a crisp, hardly edible. Will never order food here again. Gave 2 stars because of their ice cream otherwise it would have been zero stars (if that were an option).

This place is so poorly managed. Lines are always super long and slow. Girls working have no respect for customers or service. Girl spilled ice on the floor, wiped it up then went on garbing food without washing hands. Everything is dirty and messy. Can’t hear clearly over the drive-thru speaker. Order a butterscotch dipped cone and the dip was absolutely rancid and gross! Stood in line for another 20 min to show the girl. No apology. She gave me a plain smaller cone. Such a shame. Owners need to do better!

This place has the best authentic cheese selections in central IL. I’m biased as a personal friend of the owners, but I’ve seen firsthand the dedication to cleanliness and quality, how well they take care of their cows (they live twice their life expectancy on Ropp’s farm), and how they always try to offer most competitive prices. It’s a family business through and through so what’s not to love? Check em out!

It has really gone down hill. Same greasy food trucks, a lot of repeat items for sale, I didn’t feel like there was as many antique items as in the past, a lot of the booths looked like garage sales, half as many booths so they’re used to be.

At the Interstate Center. Used to be monthly, but since other events have interfered, the August market was the first since May. We've been attending for years. Usually find some things to buy. This month, we came across 2 record albums of the New Orleans Preservation Hall Jazz Band from the 1960's. Very timely since we're planning a trip to N. O. later this year! Market offers not just antiques and collectables but also fresh produce, clothing, crafts, etc.

The dealers for Kind. The dealers were laid out very nice. But it was not as big as I thought it would be.

Paying admission to shop an antique fair is crazy. Pass that fee onto the vendors. I can just drive to El Paso for free and get all the antiques I want.

Seven bucks per person, mostly under roof, lots of antiques and collectibles, come early.

First time going to a show here and it was great! Perfect parking right across the street -which was free. Beautiful inside. You can see the stage from the very back, which was great. Smoking area was a plus as well.

Place was pretty sik, security were all chill dudes and kept it professional. Sound Quality was great and was a nice change of venues having have bar top at the front near the stage and an old man assist bar. Stay Stellar

Purchased a reserved seat for the Adelitas Way & New medicine show and they were taken. Have staff thats just standing around (most of them) police the seated area. Extra money was spent for something I wasn't able to use.

I used to work at the cast theater in Bloomington Illinois when it was a theater I was in charge of opening and closing the theater. I used to start up the projection and put the film in if it broke I’d have to go up there and slice the film in together it had a balcony, but usually we had the balcony closed cause there usually wasn’t enough people in the theater. First, I’ve travelled extensively around multiple venues around the country big and small to see different rock concerts. Castle theater staff and bar access were great. However, everything else was subpar. Being a small venue, the acoustics were not good quality. The stage is low to the ground so viewing ability on the ground level is hindered if at a sold out show. The standing room layout is strange with random metal dividing bars everywhere. And the standing room isn’t tiered much so if you have tall people in front of you a few rows up you won’t get a clear view. All in all it’s an old venue. It’s more for nostalgia than quality music productions, especially for larger acts.

First time seeing a live show at the Castle. Loved the atmosphere and the sound was great!

Great old venue where you can see the artists close up! Seating in the balconies and bar stool and standing on the main floor! We were about 12' from the stage with an awesome view of Larry Fleet and band!

Took my kid there for her birthday and absolutely regret it!!! Batting cages don't work, claw games are rigged to close before they even touch the prizes, and the Mini Golf course looks like absolute crap!!! Only nice thing they have is the Go Kart track. Will definitely never go back!!! Only Reason I'm giving two stars is because at least the high-school kid's running the place are polite.

It's fun enjoyed ourselves lots of smiles the whole time. We only did the rides not the batting cage or golf. Per ticket is expensive so you might want to get a band.

We had such a fun time at this family park! The kids loved the mini golf, bumper boats, and the cute carnival-style rides. The indoor arcade may be small, but it was clean and had a great variety of games to keep them entertained. We visited on the 4th of July and were especially impressed by how clean and well-maintained everything was. A big shoutout to Jack, the employee working in the arcade and mini golf area—he was incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating. It made our visit that much more enjoyable. Highly recommend for a fun family outing!

Being able to bring my daughter (6y/o) to experience bumper cars and bumper boats for the first time was an absolute highlight of my parenting life! As an "elder millennial," I hope this precious place stays open for years to come!

We booked Tipton Park for a birthday party, everything was clean and everybody had a great time, the playground area is great!

Fun spot to take little ones for the playsets and splash pad, there are trails to walk on and you can bring your dogs to get their exercise!

My granddaughter's favorite park. Her parents have had her last two Bday parties here and all the kids had a ball. So much more intimate then the bigger parks and this makes it easier to keep track of everybody. I highly recommend !

Love this park. Nice splash pad, excellent playgrounds. Plenty of shade. Bathrooms are good. We go here 3/4 times a week. The kiddos love it.

This University has no respect for privacy specially the School of IT. Think twice before filing an accomodation. I will not recommend this University to anyone. The bullying and harassment are so persuasive.

My first review was removed, which just further proves my point that this University is a scamming/stealing joke. I attended a semester here, after leaving the service. I ran through hoops to get all the paperwork needed for my GI Bill. Completed everything and was told that I was good for the semester. Upon completion of the semester, my account was locked and I was told I had outstanding balances all of a sudden. Long story short they never applied my GI Bill, and then tried to gaslight me and say it was my fault for not "Ensuring that we knew you wanted to use your benefits" which is actual insanity considering the month it took just to run around to court house etc. to fill out everything for my GI. VETERANS STAY AWAY.

Amazing historic gas station in downtown Normal, IL. It has recently been restored and brought back to its original condition. Everything looks perfect and the atmosphere brings you back to the early days of Route 66, when this service station was founded. It's a place where you must stop when driving on the Mother Road, one of the best preserved gas stations that you'll find between Chicago and Santa Monica!

A wonderfully restored, historic service station/cafe on the old Route 66. Beautifully done. Great to see extant buildings such as this one representing an era of American history. A bygone time of roadtrips, automobiles, reading maps and places to stop and experience something far different than where you just drove from. Stop in and share a little conversation and stories with Terri.

Terri is terrific! My brother and I are traveling Route 66, and stopped in to say hi! Terri is so knowledgeable about route 66 that this place is a must stop! My brother drove route 66 two years ago and told me he stopped here, so naturally, I wanted to meet "Employee of the month " Terri! She pointed us to some awesome stops along the way like The Giants, The Giant Hot Dog holding Giant, and my favorite stop..."Motorheads bar and grill". My brother and I also purchased several used books and nick knacks that she offers in her establishment. Profits from sales go to fund the route 66 preservation society! Thank you, Terri, for all your wonderful knowledge, help, direction and friendly personality! Oh yeah...Terri loves to converse! Don't forget to ask about the route 66 chicken art! Lol

Lovely place with nice art, many restaurants, right next to metra station, and even has a science museum for kids. Overall a lovely place with great scenery and places to sit. It also has a record store and various other shops which I appreciate. During wintertime they even decorate the lights and it is beautiful. I just wish they had better parking places.

We had a great visit to the ISU Horticulture Center! The space is peaceful, well-maintained, and fun to explore. We loved learning about the plants and horticulture pioneers. The Wonder Lab and Children’s Discovery Center were especially whimsical and full of fun elements. There is a little something for everyone here making it perfect for solo visitors, dates, or families. There’s limited parking, so plan ahead. Overall, it’s a beautiful spot, and hats off to the students and university for creating such a lovely space!

I had an excellent visit to the center today. I love all the natives. All the gardens appear to be well kept.

This garden is very well taken care of. There's a sense of care and organization in this outdoor center. A porter potty nearby, some picnic tables, a children's discovery garden, and great use of the 5 senses with things to touch and smell in particular!

A beautifully designed collection of gardens. It’s primary purpose is as an outdoor learning/teaching facility for the Horticulture program at I.S.U. Except for a few days each year when it hosts a festival/showcase it is also open (and free) to the public. I was surprised to see so much color this late in October. A wide assortment of late season blooms were still holding on while additional color was provided by some of the foliage and seed heads. The generous use of a wide assortment of evergreen plants also kept the gardens looking fresh. There are no hard surface walkways so it probably isn’t ideally suited for those in wheelchairs (especially after a heavy rainfall). There are however numerous benches throughout the center, and even a couple of bench type swings under the cover of a wood framed gazebo for those who need to take a break or just want to stop and soak in their surroundings.

Absolutely beautiful place, full of so many native plants and many others. Very relaxing to just walk around and take it all in on a nice day. The Prairie area is my favorite! 🍀

Went for a birthday dinner. It was an off peak time but they were attentive. We had all the time we wanted to just sit and enjoy a family dinner... the food was lovely. I was so excited to have their classic black current tea again. We enjoyed a bruchetta trio for an appetizer.. you don't want to miss the fig and apple flavor... it will delight your taste buds. I had the pasta and salad. I love the option... honestly was more than I could eat and I saved room for desserts since it was a special occasion... everything was perfect

Very big restaurant with many tables. Upscale place with a lot of entrees and beverage options on the menu. Service was really good and attentive with numerous waiters serving our table. We were a party of about 15 people and had reservations for a Wednesday evening dinner. Ordered the sea bass for the main meal which was really good and well presented. Had a pretty big piece of tiramisu cake for dessert with an espresso martini. I would give this place a 5-star rating for the espresso martini alone since it was that good.

Love it! My favorite dish is the raviolis (both of them are great 1) cheese and 2)beef). Great sweet wine options! Deserts are also excellent. Staff it’s amazing, always super nice.

The food, atmosphere and service was wonderful! My small group and I had our Christmas dinner together at Biaggi's this year. The food is always delicious and they are great about any food needs you might have. I had the Dijon Salmon, with spinach and substituted broccoli for the pasta. It was a very generous portion and prepared perfectly. Loved it!

I’ve lived in the area for 3 years and finally stopped here for dinner. We did not have a reservation, but we were able to quickly get a table. We ordered some cheese garlic bread and meat ravioli as appetizers - both were very good. The garlic bread had a crispy crust with a soft fluffy center with the perfect amount of flavor. The meat ravioli was well breaded with well seasoned meat inside. Both come with marinara dipping sauce. We built our own thin pizza with sausage and pepperoni - OH my GOSH! It was crispy and had a delicious combination of flavors. I will definitely be coming back. And to add the cherry on top the tiramisu was cold, creamy and rich. It was the perfect way to end such a great meal. Our waiter was phenomenal; very attentive and friendly. He took the time to have a conversation even being busy.

It was phenomenal! The pizza was perfectly cooked. Felt like it was melting in my mouth. And the teramisu was exploding with flavors. Service was exceptional for how busy it was.

Walked in at 6pm without a reservation and met Theres at the bar who suggested we have a drink while waiting for 2 seats at the bar. Only waited about 20 minutes before being seated near the grill. I had reviewed the menu online and knew what I wanted, and my guest had been many times before and knew EXACTLY what he would have. My drink was a perfectly made Martini and it was fantastic. When I asked if the fried chicken livers were good, Theres said the best in the county and I agree. Ordered a Caesar salad with housemade dressing and housemade croutons which was spectacular. I prefer romaine lettuce but the spring mix was tossed in the dressing and piled on the plate with freshly ground parmesan. I ate it all. Tried the Fettuccine Alfredo because she said they make the Alfredo in house and it was beyond fresh, a beautiful half portion to finish the night. I lived in Bloomington for 5 years in the 80s, how did I miss this place. All this food for $25...amazing...not including my drinks wine tax and tip. I cannot wait to go back and will make a reservation for sure. Obviously a favorite for local families...felt like home. Bravo.

Cute bar. Amazing food. (The chips are to die for!) Tables are tiny for dining, but suited well for drinks. Tried for several spirits, but they didnt have any of them so I settled for a soda. Husband had a beer. Will go back. There is a parking lot around the corner or across the street.

Every time I come in here I am always greeted and promptly have my order taken. The food is fantastic and good portions. I’ve gotten the Alfredo, fried cheese ravioli, fried cheese sticks, and a custom pizza and it was all very good. One night I even came in and there were some gentleman singing in the corner and it was awesome to be able to sit in on that.

My friend and I had lunch at The Lucca Grill in Bloomington IL. Gidget was our server and the experience was exceptional and our Pizza was truly good. Kudos to The Lucca Grill and Gidget for exceeding expectations and to enjoy the historical sports flags and ambience.

The atmosphere was homey. The service was great! The food was amazing! I appreciate that they have hot tea on the menu! Everything tasted fresh and was presented nicely. I would definitely come back if ever in the area!

Fort Jesse is always a must when visiting back home. The staff is always so kind. We’ve had Jordan the last few times we’ve been in and he’s been wonderful. The food is fantastic and always come quickly. They have great coffee, and even better now that they have an espresso bar. My latte was amazing! Highly recommend!

Stopped by here on my way down from Chicago for brunch. I got the chicken and waffles benedict and matcha latte. It gets really busy and I sat at the bar. Food came out quick after placing an order. Chicken and waffles - The waffles were soft on the inside but had a good crispy texture. The chicken was a little salty for me but flavour was decent. The hollandaise sauce wasn't too bad either. I opted for the fruits instead of the home fries so I might have to stop by again and try that next time 4/5

The ice center was great. The bleachers were a little rough, but I am up in age a bit. The bar and grill were very nice, the food was very good, and the beverage selections and prices were easy on the budget. The employees were pleasant helpful and hardworking.

Here for free skates, and figure skate lessons - kids love it. Bring a jacket if you're gonna be sitting it out. Great facility. Great staff.

Great place for kids to learn ice skating. Staff is very friendly and very caring towards kids. My daughter was doing ice skating for the first time and I see the staff were very dedicated and very sweet. So you can be well assured of your child safety. Good thing is they are following COVID protocols very well. Masks are mandatory for everyone entering the arena and the staff also does wear mask. Overall I’m very pleased.

Great atmosphere with heaters above the bleacher seating. I went to watch a local league playoff hockey game. Snack center attendants were attentive and happy to help me. The seating and floors were clean. Definitely worth the visit.

A place to see art in a very pleasing informative setting. They have a great staff in converted building that has two galleries and classrooms downstairs to teach young and old alike. A jewel that you must see when you are going to downtown Bloomington!

For a smaller zoo it was really great. We went through it a couple times in 2 hours but I think we saw every animal. My kids loved the baby anteater, it was our 1st time seeing one of those.

This is a good place to see a ballgame. There is plenty of parking although one downside is it takes a while to get out and on your actual way home. There are many good food options. The giveaways are quality. We enjoy going here several times a year

The animals that were out were fun and active. Kids loved watching the otters play. A lot of the animals were not out because it's still chilly out. It was disappointing that indoor viewing was very very limited. This zoo takes about an hour to see everything. The volunteers were helpful and were happy to answer kids questions The highlight was the playground for my kids.... it was challenging and had a great slide. It kept my 5 children ages 2-13 very entertained.

Located at the entrance of the miller park, zoo, this municipal playground has some safe features, and is attached to a water splash pad. They also have a mini golf course and a picnic areas for family usage. For such a small city these people really have, i've done this up, right.

A small group of OES members stopped for a photo opportunity with the Duck paddle boat. 2028 will be the year that the rubber duck is our symbol...but the paddleboat staff was fabulous and friendly...it's an affordable activity for 30minutes!! Miller Park is so much more than the Zoo!!

Wonderful Park mainly for children over 3 years old. Located next to a splash pad and very well maintained. Restrooms located nearby along with water fountains.

Love walking this path. Convenient to walk knowing each lap around the pond is 1 mile. Always friendly people and in a safe area. Great for fishing, picnics, children, and watching the animals wander around. The geese are actually pretty nice! We visit year round and it’s a great way to stay active close to home :)

This is a beautiful park to sit and take in the view or walk around the pond on a walking trail. LOTS OF DUCKS AND GEESE. you can walk your Dog. Its very nice.;)

White Oak Park has a one mile trail going around the lake that's perfect for walking, running, or biking. There is also a playground, covered picnic areas, and both soccer and baseball fields. It's a nice quiet park.

A really nice park, picnic tables and bbq grills available, lots of room to walk the dog and even some lightweight fishing. Also makes for a good place to get in exercise.

Great find. Great area. Perfectly quiet! Our dog is elderly and can't walk very far.. so this loop is the perfect place to take him. At just around a mile around he has a blast, sniffs the (awesomely un-mowed!) natural areas and can stay on the pavement when he's too tired for off-roading anymore. (yes, tall grass is kind of like off-roading for him.. and maybe your pooch too?) What a lovely area if you're looking for a quiet, clean, nearby walk! We can't wait to see what birds will land in the pond with the coming seasons.

I really enjoy the lake and the picnic areas. there is an area where it's possible to drop boats into the water and it's a very kayak friendly place. there are at least two areas at the park that have picnic tables. both designated spots for the picnic tables are covered by a pavilion to ensure that a picnic does not always have to be cancelled because of the rain. on another note, there are trash cans on site and though some might think this should promote less littering, it does not or maybe it does and the trash blows out of the garbage cans. they offer fun games to play with your children or your friends while you walk around the lake. the games are posted on signs that are found on the path that circles the lake. the games promote awareness of surroundings and nature. but, the one thing that is really unfortunate about this place? the geese. there is poop everywhere and you often have to walk looking down so that you don't step in poo. not to mention that they are vicious creatures, especially when they feel threatened and protective of offspring. not a fan.

Lots of great memories here. I took my wife recently to show her around my old stomping grounds before the students were back in school. They've done a wonderful job with the landscaping and upkeep of the whole area. Very nice! I can imagine the students are once again enjoying the picturesque surroundings as they're now back for the fall semester. All the best, Redbirds!

I bought my Ankarsrum mixer from the Garlic Press. Great mixer, I would highly recommend it! Works better than kitchen aid I had. This shop has everything! And it's all really lovely, great shop for gifts for anyone. They have some super cute things, adorable animal wall clocks, to cute little kids gifts and things like a miniature deck of cards, or adorable hand made tin miniature cars. Cute mobiles to a multitude of flavored olive oils (which you can sample). I would highly recommend the garlic and herb flavored olive oil. It goes a long way and can be used in almost any savory dish. They have a cute little candy shop too! This is the place to get good quality cookware, knives, kitchen utensils, cookie sheets, cake pans, and so much more!

I love this place! I’m a townie, and I still think this is the best store in town. It’s great for gifts and cute decorations and trinkets. There’s something for everyone! The popcorn is always amazing, and the staff are always very kind.

There are two sides to this establishment, but I spend more time in the sweet shop, usually buying popcorn. This is the best place in town for those who are addicted to Garrett's popcorn.

Leaving for my partner - if we could leave zero stars we would. We have been trying to see a urologist at Springfield Clinic for infertility for 4 months, we were rescheduled twice. That happens ok whatever. December 3rd the appointment finally rolls around, show up early like you’re supposed to, wait over an hour and a half without being spoken to all while their doctor comes into the lobby looking for his nurses because they’re gone. Ask for an eta they have no idea. People check in after us and we are still passed over. Finally left because no one would be decent enough to at least let us know that it was going to be any longer. Mind you we both missed work for this appointment. They call at the end of the day and leave a voicemail to let us know that they have a plan of action for us and they can submit medication for us but no one ever even spoke to us. It is also specifically in our chart that none of our information is to be shared via voicemail. Didn’t ask if we wanted to reschedule nor did they apologize. Instead we were told we would be charged for not cancelling the appointment. We call to discuss this and we wait on hold again for 45 minutes. Finally a woman, I believe her name was brandy, answers the phone we tell her what we are doing she laughs at us and hangs up. This is the most unprofessional doctors office we have ever been to and we will never be back because you should at least have decent customer service skills let alone have the decency to be sensitive to the patients you have. If you can go somewhere else I recommend you do.

Consider Negative 5 stars… For a 20 minutes doc office (pediatrician) visit for my kid I received a bill of more than $500 …that too after insurance adjustment. Is this a joke?? And when I called the billing office to discuss it the lady on call started yelling and hung up. I will make sure I stay away from this clinic and also pass on the feedback to friends and families.

I had a truly unfortunate experience at the Springfield Urology Clinic. The level of care I received was appalling and wholly unprofessional. I strongly advise against seeking a prostate exam at this clinic. My visit left me feeling humiliated, shocked, and in utter horror. The treatment I endured was beyond unacceptable. During my time at the clinic, I was subjected to what I can only describe as a disgraceful joke by Nurse John. The insensitivity and disregard for my well-being were deeply troubling. To make matters worse, Dr. Katy and her intern assistant seemed to condone Nurse John's behavior, which further added to my distress. I would not wish the humiliation, pain, and suffering I experienced on anyone else. The lack of professionalism and the callous attitude displayed by the clinic staff is simply unacceptable. My trust in their ability to provide proper care has been shattered. In conclusion, my visit to the Springfield Urology Clinic was a deplorable experience that I hope no one else has to endure. I urge individuals seeking urological care to explore other options for their own well-being and peace of mind.

Dr. Morgan and Nurse Mallory were amazing people! As a man having a vasectomy seems so scary but they were unbelievably kind and accommodating! The procedure was easy and while recovery isn’t painless I’m glad to know it was done correctly and by great people! Would highly recommend for any of your urology needs!

Very unique playground that's great for older kids! My 10 yo played on the playground for quite a while, and she's usually bored by play grounds. Plus there's a great sandbox and swings. But there isn't much at all for littles.

This park was fun to play in and I love the sandbox I made a hole to out all the tools in and it gave me some nostalgia from one of the old parks that I grew up with

I go here often to walk my dog. It's a great place to go in the summer especially when it starts to get too hot because there's a good amount of shade it makes it more tolerable when the temperatures get too high. There's a great amount of places to sit if you need to just relax. Good place if you're older or had disabilities and have to take breaks in between your walking. It's also a great place to go if you want to have a quick lunch at a picnic table on your lunch break from work or whatever. It's a good place to go that's not busy to take a child and a small playground area. It is also scenic if you like looking at older homes. Historic homes

We were at this park 10 years ago since then they've added these neat little logs to walk around on and a sand area with a new play structure. Love it. The trees this time of year are gorgeous. Perfect weather before we all freeze!

Upper Limits did fantastic with our large group from the YMCA! We had around 300 kids climbing in one day, and the staff were not only extremely helpful, but also amazingly positive with our kiddos and counselors! We worked together all day, and I have no doubt we will be booking again for next year. Big shout out to Carter as our contact, Olivia for the help with waivers, and Pierce, Hunter, and John who helped us belay. Our kids had such a blast, thank you all so much!

Super chill atmosphere and very helpful staff. My daughter’s first time here. Luke and Chloe were super awesome and inviting! Chloe belayed my daughter several times and was fantastic and encouraging. The indoor routes were cool and the handholds are much different than where my daughter climbs, so that was cool. My daredevil took advantage of the awesome weather today and scaled the outer wall. Will be back👊🏼

We love going to climb and having birthday parties at Upper Limits. Staff is very nice and helpful! They change walls often so you don't feel it gets "boring" so many routes to choose from! Different from any other bouldering type place I've been !! We love Upper Limits!!!

I recently completed a top rope certification class at Upper Limits and was thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. From the moment I arrived, every single staff member, especially the instructor, was incredibly inviting, kind, and helpful. I must admit, I was quite nervous beforehand, given my limited indoor climbing experience. However, my anxiety vanished within the first few minutes, thanks to the genuinely welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a seasoned climber or just starting out, I wholeheartedly recommend Upper Limits!

Our Scout troop had the best time at Upper Limits! It was incredible to watch everyone gain confidence as they climbed! Our Adventure Guide, Hunter, was so good with the kids! We can't wait to go back!

Loved this place! Was there alone, and they had a staff to help belay and bring people together. Pretty nice touch. Lots of bouldering, top rope and autobelay.

Attended the Associated Colleges of Illinois Work & Life Boot Camp on 2/8/2020. The facilities where the event took place spacious, clean and beautiful. The staff was welcoming and one of the things that I especially was thankful for was the signage. Having never been to this institution, I appreciated the signs that pointed us to the parking lots and to the buildings where we'd be. The food that was served was decent. The parts of the campus that we saw were well maintained, up-to-date and nice. It snowed on the day we were there, so the views from the building we were in, were gorgeous.

We were greeted by the IWU staff and sat down with Admissions counselors who answered all our questions. They were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Then we were given a great campus tour. The students of the musical theatre department were so friendly and generous with their time. I was deeply impressed with their genuine affection for each other and their school. These students are gifted in their field and already working professionally before graduation. The faculty is dedicated, knowledgeable and experienced. I would trust them with my child's education and growth as a human being. They genuinely care about their students and their future. They have created a supportive and yet academically challenging environment. A beautiful, small campus.

Academically challenging, Professors with small class sizes are top notch; along with a beautiful campus and good golf program. They tend to preach liberal propaganda but as do all liberal arts programs. TGOE!

Wonderful graduation ceramony! They put on a really great day for all the grads. Plenty of snacks and refreshments for all the family's.

The campus setup was beautiful and welcoming. The inside facility of the buildings were cleaned and likable. Our visit was a first time but the welcoming team did a fantastic job! It feels like you were part of their school family already!

A well run college that provides structure and embraces teamwork while teaching and interacting with the students instead of just providing lectures and issuing assignments forcing the students to learn on their own. All in all a respectful and empowering institution I would recommend

Fantastic park. Just needs a fresh coat of paint. Short lovely trail, circling a lush field set up for baseball but perfect for soccer scrimmage as well. Picnic gazebo overlooking a HAGS brand playground for all ages. The playground is mostly wood with fun sturdy, plastic slides in great condition. There's a nice round basketball court, and during the summer a porta potty tucked behind some greenery. We absolutely love this park and highly recommend spending lots of quality time here. 👍

This park used to be fun to go to. The playground used to feel like a fortress and now it's been ruined. It's tiny in comparison to the old one and was built for litteral babies. Don't believe me? Go take a look for yourself when you have the chance. I used to like this place, but now I just feel sad to even look at it.

Always a good time. Depending on when you visit you may find the mulch needs to be raked back into place. Sometimes the ruts are too deep under the swings.

This is a nice park! It has a picnic shelter, large playground, and a short trail. It also has a basketball court.

Clean, fun. Many climbing structures fit older kids. Different play area for younger (0-5yo).

Every time I go there I get a banana split. It is fantastic and they do have good burgers and I get onion rings they're good

Wow, this is a great shopping center with many stores. Lots of ample parking. Glad we were able to make a stop. Many choices from beverages, to food, clothing.

I had an avocado tip in my salad that I actually bit down on. It was very hard and hurt my teeth for a few days. The male manager was super rude straight out the gate like I placed the thing in my food. The last picture is the plate he replaced my original plate with. I want be back and I will tell anyone going DON'T!!! The manager could have owned the mistake. It wasn't my fault.

Holy Mexican food! The BEST Mexican food I have ever tried in my life! Fresh, simple, delicious. The service was outstanding; our waitress was the sweetest human on the planet. Will be back for sure. This place is 2.5 hrs from where I live, but the food is worth the drive.

Portions are plentiful. All the children were satisfied and had leftovers. Torta Cubano was fresh and overflowing. The tacos were 3 stars. The cheese enchilada meal was filling. Order changes weren't a problem.

My fiancé and I absolutely love El Porton. It’s our go-to spot every Monday and a great way to start the week. Authentic food, reasonably priced, very friendly staff. A hidden gem right outside of downtown Bloomington. Highly recommend.

I hate to leave this kind of review, because El Porton (in name only at this point) has a soft spot in my heart, having grown up eating here under the original owners. The new owners seem to have dropped some standards around consistent quality control, and almost worse than that is they allow their daughter to work the front while being incredibly insulting, condescending, and entitled - she often single handedly makes you not want to come back, just to not have to interact with her again. If the owners see this review, I get that you want to employ your daughter, makes total sense, but you need to understand that she’s losing you a lot of business and her work ethic is awful towards the community that makes your business possible in the first place. If I had acted like she does even for a single day at my family’s restaurant when I was growing up, they would have fired me and made me earn the right to work again at the business. All the best to you. I might try the place out in a few months to see if something has changed about this and the inconsistent food quality, but I’ve got one more visit in me and then I’m done with this place if nothing has changed, just being straight with you. And I’ll be telling everyone I know to get their food elsewhere too if that happens.

One of my absolute favorite places in Blo-no. Perfect for families/kids, there are endless amounts of things to do. I love the cozy little shops, food, and drinks. So many photo opportunities. I wish they were open year round, my son loves it here as well! I’ve been to many places for fall festivities in different states and Rader farms blows all of them out of the water 😊

My husband and I attended the Night Maze event hosted by Rader Family Farms! We had such a fun time! While my husband has visited RFF his whole life as a local, this was my first time visiting as a newcomer to the Blo-No community! It was such a well organized event! From getting tickets to ordering a frozen cider and figuring out the maze, the staff seemed so glad to assist and genuinely felt like they themselves were having fun while on the job! RFF is the perfect place to bring together families and groups of all ages!

Our 1st time here, absolutely gorgeous day, so it was packed, which was fine, except that I feel like they may have been a tad understaffed. Every single memeber of their staff was earning their money, working hard, being polite, no complaints at all about the staff themselves I am also going to aay they need to work on the bathrooms, w/the crowds they must get, they are sorely lacking in facilties. I, for one, am not going to use an outhouse unless I have to, and the one indoor restroom area has 2 separate bathrooms, but the lines for both the outdoor and indoor toilets were 25 people deep from the time we got there at 1:30, until 5:30 when we left. The lines for everything were a little frustrating, only because it took up so much time, but aside from adding to certain areas, I am not sure there really is a lot they can do about that. Very clean, and I did love that they provided an outdoor area w/soap and water at the port-a-potty, most places do not. It is a lovely place, and actually not overpriced in anyway, aside from the areas I mentioned above, still a 5 star rating.

What an amazing experience! I highly recommend a fall family visit to Rader Farms! There are so many activities to do! I was worried about long lines. But I was pleasantly surprised we had little to know wait and we were able to experience almost everything.

This place is worth the drive and money. This place has so much to do. Make sure you wear your tennis shoes cause your going to do alot of walking. There is apple picking, pumpkin picking, corn mazes, tug of War, big slides, sand vox,4 seater, 2seater,1 seater bikes, animal petting, face painting, so many different things to do too many to name. They also have food. Want to take your little ones out for fun this is your place to go

Great spot to have fun with the family. Plenty of activities for the kids, a couple snack shacks for your fall favorites, and a few paid extras to enjoy. Apple blasting, corn mazes, apple picking, and so much more. The gift shop is perfect for those little momentos to bring home, and for a warm treat as well. Grab a pumpkin as you go too. You won't regret it!.

Great place for families to bring their children to pick out pumpkins and take photo’s at different Halloween displays. Lots of fun things to do for kids. No pets permitted.

My wife and I recently had our reception at Destihl’s Barrel Room. We looked at several different venues and knew right away that Destihl was the one for us. It’s a naturally beautiful space that has an intimate feel to it which is what we were looking for. The other draw to Destihl is the food. If you’ve never had their food before, you’re missing out! We got so many compliments on the meal we served our guests. This is REAL food, not wedding food! They even made two special dishes for my wife and I who are dairy free. And who could forget the star of the show - the beer. We got to choose 6 different beers on tap and several other beers in cans. We got endless compliments about how much people enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and beverages all night. We were fortunate to have a beautiful summer night so having access to their outside courtyard was an added bonus where guests could hang out and cool off under the lights. Ally and the rest of the event staff and crew at Destihl were great to work with from start to finish. They were so professional and kind. We’re just sad it’s over! Amazing food and atmosphere! We got the thai tuna rice bowl, schnitzel a la holstein and chicken flautas. The Chicken Flautas appetizer came with 3 pieces. Very crispy and delicious. Be careful, the jalpeno peppers on top pack a punch! The Thai Tuna Rice Bowl was so fresh and had such big pieces of tuna. There was definitely strong thai tastes in the rice. Highly recommend! The Schnitzel A La Holstein had a fried egg and 2 pieces of schnitzel. The breading was very crispy and the meat was very tender. The spaetzle pasta was deliciously paired with cabbage. Also highly recommend! I will be coming back!

I hosted a business dinner in the Barrel Room and could not recommend this place enough! You’re assigned a dedicated on-site coordinator who helps plan every detail and is there the day of the event to ensure everything runs smoothly. The food was outstanding—we received so many compliments from our guests. The atmosphere is charming and inviting. The facility is also well equipped with a TV screen for presentations and microphones, making it a perfect venue for both social and professional gatherings.

Disappointed twice in a row at this location. Only came here for the food. First time was the falafel that was so dry and hard I felt like I was going to break a tooth trying to eat it. Second time was one of their grilled cheese sandwiches that was literally swimming in a pool of grease in the takeout container and had to be dried with paper towels to be edible. I understand the food probably caters to drunk customers but for the price they need to do better. (and as a side note, stop letting people who arent picking up curbside food park in your curbside spots)

Destihl is an absolute MUST STOP kinda place. We had a hotel for the night just down the road, and were struggling to find a place that looked good, and had Gluten Free options. We saw Destihl on our way into town and I’m so glad we decided to turn around. My husband and I both ordered a drink, had an appetizer, two entrees (one being an upcharge for GF crust), and a kids meal, for only $60. They had live music outside, and a great ambiance inside. If we ever drive through Bloomington again, this will absolutely be our stop!

Personally I like it when my breading does not just pop off my chicken like it didn’t belong in the first place. Not sure if a step was skipped but. That was pretty gross.

Quite the facility. My food was good, lots of beers to choose from and then bartenders were attentive.
