Best beach in Michigan ☺️ Gorgeous sand beach (very accessible with paths down the sand!), clear water, beautiful sunsets, and plenty of parking. I will always come back here to enjoy Lake Michigan!

A beautiful park on the beach where you swim, sunbathe and can go on a healthy walk on the path to the lighthouse. We eloped here for 2 days during the heat wave last weekend.

Sunset is absolutely beautiful here. The beach is mostly accessible for wheelchairs. It was not too crowded and plenty of space dedicated to swimming.

Nice big beach with two cantina to purchase food and snacks. One of which sells beer and bottled cocktails. Clean restrooms. Park is patrolled throughout the day. It also has a nice grassy shaded area for picnics, putt putt golf, skateboard park, volleyball nets, as well as the break wall to walk out to the channel marker lighthouse.

An amazing little museum (was originally a coast guard facility) with tons of hands on exhibits for the kids! We and the kids enjoyed it.

We love this museum. It's modest in size - 3 floors but not a huge footprint - and every display is so well done. There are interactive parts the kids can touch that are well integrated into all three floors in the main display areas. I really like that they don't put all the most kid friendly bits off in one area, and that all the most kids friendly bits and truly all-ages: they might be the parts that will engage kids most, but adults can enjoy them too. Every area is so well thought out, and the storytelling with facts and visuals is top-notch. I find shipwrecks interesting but I'm not particularly into maritime things, but I am never bored there, and this was our fifth summer in a row going! You can get a good quick overview of everything it has to offer in an hour, or you could spend an afternoon and read every single bit of information in every room and immerse yourself - both are satisfying.

Stopped here to eat lunch and see the water. Appears to be a great place to launch a boat. There was also a tiny beach for my tiny one!

My son loves ship museums so when we are near one we go. This one did not disappoint. There are interactive activities throughout for kids, even a large room that is like a boat wheel room where you can captain a ship. If you are in the area I would suggest you stop by.

This is a cute place to bring the family for some play time or a picnic. Parking was supper simple. Would recommend.

This is a great place. The park is medium size but with something for everyone. It's nestled in between two marinas, the municipal marina and the Harbor View marina, with Pere Marquette Lake waterfront and lovely views in all directions. Many sculptures are scattered around in the park. There's a large playground for kiddos. Lots of benches and tables can be found all around. There's even a gazebo with five tables underneath. Restrooms and an amphitheater is available as well. Edit: Added pictures, Oct 2022.

Wow, what a beautiful place for a walk or take children to go play!

This park is some what breath taking! There's tons of sculptures. A lot of sidewalks taking you any where you want to go. A very nice viewing area to watch the badger arrive and depart. It's very peaceful. There's also a children's play area with places to sit for the adults. Public restrooms. Lots to do and see here!

We enjoyed walking here and looking at the marina. The park is beautiful. Ludington is nice and relaxing. Everything is taken care of beautifully.

A great adventure/sensory option for ages 2-8. Hands on everything with 3 floors to explore each successive floor for an older age but still including something for a young age. An area for breastfeeding mothers available which was a plus! The sand pit construction zone while loved by the children was an unwelcome surprise to the parents, a warning at check-in would be nice. Not stroller accessible.

A child’s dream come true! We drove up from Muskegon because it’s a chilly cloudy day and we wanted an indoor activity and it was SO worth the drive. The play areas are well thought out and maintained. So much open-ended play! I was thankful there was plenty of hand sanitizer stations and a private nursing / baby changing room. An awesome place to play & learn and be a kid!

Sandcastles is a very cool place! They have all sorts of exhibits and everything is so hands-on. Our kids loved the bubbles and sand areas best. It is a bit pricey, I honestly don't feel like parents should be charged admission but it's ok. Still worth it for the fun the kids had. We spent about an hour and a half there and our kids are 13, 8, 5, and 5 months for context.

Visited this museum today for the first time with my 3 year old and 2 year old. It was an amazing experience! So clean and so organized. The best children’s museum I have ever been to!! Highly recommend!!

Such a great place! One of the best childrens museums I've been to! So much to do you need a couple hours at least! Everything is completely hands on, realistic and fully stocked with everything to act out real life jobs, from a stage with costumes and curtains, to actual sand with loaders and dump trucks, to an ice cream/pizza place, to a post office with 'real' mail you can deliver to all the fun areas! Kids imaginations can go wild here. A definite stop if your in the area! We will be returning 👍🏻👍🏻 $9 per person to enter.

Great local eatery! We just went to the ice cream room, which has stairs leading up to it from the sidewalk; there may be an accessible entrance elsewhere from the actual restaurant. Free parking on the street and free parking lot next to the building, however this is a popular place, so I imagine it fills quickly. The ice cream was delicious and they had lots of flavors to choose from. Waffle cones were delicious. Two dairy free options available. Highly recommend

What a wonderful stop! While we did not eat from their dinner menu, we enjoyed delicious hard scooped, house made ice cream with fresh waffle cones! It was a stellar shop and I will totally come again. The prices are $4.50 for a junior (my picture), $5.50 for one scoop, $6.50 for a two scoop. Tax is included in the price. They also had gluten free and dairy free options available.

This was a perfect stop on my road trip around Lake Michigan. The atmosphere was super fun, food was delicious, service was great. I ate too much lunch and didn’t save room for the ice cream flight that I really wanted to order. But there is a separate entrance if all you want is ice cream, so I’ll admit that we went back and got a scoop later on. This place is perfect for all ages and the prices aren’t bad at all. Do yourself a favor and stop at House of Flavors!

Best place to dine in Ludington. For a meal try the turkey or get a fresh turkey wrap. Don’t miss the ice cream, have some for dessert and again after taking in a sunset at the city beach. Check out the flavors, and be sure to try the black cherry. A perfect family tradition.

Absolutely the most fun place to go! I only had breakfast but it was great, the staff were fun and friendly, the vibe is tremendous--oldies playing over the sound system, 45's hanging all over the place, the famous straw wrappers stick to the ceiling, the best and most flavors of on-site -made ice cream!!😲. They also sell fun items and their famous strawberry jam. I only wish this place were close enough to visit weekly! I will be back and bring everyone I know.

Can’t wait to go back to try the ice cream! This was a great diner spot with a pretty affordable menu and all of the standard breakfast options but also a lot of creative takes on traditional dishes. The staff was nice and it had a fun ambiance.

Nostalgia all the way! First time having breakfast here and it was delicious. Locals are lined up at opening and awesome seeing the staff get their their 'regular' items without needing to be asked. Tells you that its a loved establishment. This booth has been sat in by my family for generations and it was awesome to see it still there!

We have wanted to take the SS Badger forever, so we were thrilled to finally take our maiden cruise. 🚢 This is a one-of-a-kind experience. We would encourage everyone to take advantage of the movie, the sun deck, Bingo, the gift shop, and everything else. If you want a post card of the ship, be sure to get one in the gift shop. I’m sad we didn’t . But the whole experience, from blow horn leaving to the mooring at the end, was fantastic.

We had a blast (instead of driving around the lake) heading to our niece’s wedding. The ride was fun and weather perfect. Highly recommend to those looking for an experience instead of just a long drive. We played bingo, lounged on the deck in the sun, and enjoyed the breeze.

The S.S. Badger Ferry is a great way to "drive" between northern Wisconsin and northern Michigan. Although dated, the ship is clean and comfortable and has many modern amenities. The Crew (hands) makes the voyage fun and interesting. It has a museum exhibit covering ferry transportation. The four hours are stress free when compared to driving through Chicago and the time onboard is enhanced with Bingo and Trivia games. A truly enjoyable way to travel on U.S. Highway 10!

We loved the ride, it truly was a once in a lifetime experience for us. The staff was super friendly for the most part. I really enjoyed the thoughtful touches they had to keep you entertained while on board. We also happened to have amazing weather when we went so that definitely helped! They had free soda refills which is nice because you don’t see that much anymore and that worked for coffee as well. I think opportunities for improvement would be better wayfinding signage, maybe an informative posted agenda and overall a bit of a renovation, although it was unique in character. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves. Oh I should also mention, I had to change my reservation 3 times and they accommodated me each time with zero issues. I did have to pay a fee when I canceled my SUV and added a passenger ticket for my mom who has health issues so we decided to forego the jeep trip around the state and come back the same day. I was hoping we wouldn’t have to pay that fee with adding another round trip passenger but I also didn’t ask for it so it’s on me. We loved the badger bingo and the food was actually a little better than expected. And best of all… we made it! :)

What a great experience. The ship was much taller than I thought it would be. It swallowed up a whole parking lot full of cars, trucks and busses. We entered the vessel at the stern and up the stairs we went into the waiting/game room. There we had bingo to play while alcohol drinks and cafeteria style food were available for purchase. It was a foggy day so we heard plenty of the fog horn. My favorite part was the great gift shop and shouts of "Big ship, great fun!" The only drawbacks for me were the cost and the length of time (about 4 hours) it takes to get across Lake Michigan. Glad the water was calm.

Had a great trip and time on this classic and beautiful S.S. Badger. They offer food, drink. bingo, movies and so much more. The crew on land and sea was awesome. Thank you to all who work on on The S.S. Badger cruise ship.

Wow.. great trip everyone should take it once. Food not so good. They won't let you bring any open food on. We could have our lunchables but not our subway. Sealed drinks are ok. Bingo was fun and ya gotta buy something to take home.

Chill atmosphere, solid food! Wait times for food were pretty slow though. I had the prime rib special which was seasoned quite well. The fried perch was lightly fried and very tender, not overcooked and flaky either!

Great little spot in Ludington. It was a cold rainy evening, perfect for their cottage pie. Super flavorful and so delicious! Fresh ingredients and such a perfect fall dish. Do yourself a favor and try it. Friendly wait staff and a very inviting atmosphere! Can't wait to visit again.

Excellent place to relax and enjoy great beer. Try the Badger Brown ale and relax with friends. Need some to take home? No problem. They are glad to can it for you in minutes. We’re definitely coming back on our next visit to Ludington.

Days after discovering Jamesport Brewing, we were still raving about how good the Weizenbock beer was. On top of that, the Spicy Cheddar Cheese Curds were the best cheese curds I've ever had. Wish we lived near enough to be regulars!

I'd like to tell you that their Perch Dinner was excellent, but it was never served. Three of us sat here for over an hour. The waitress came and said our meals would be out in a few minutes. Time passed, she came by the table next to us, never saying a word. Finally when another server delivered meals to a group of diners who had come in after us, we left money for our drinks and left.

We started with the cheese curds and they were excellent. The cherry sirloin was well-prepared, but the mixed vegetables were a little undercooked. The baked mac & cheese was very tasty. The service was solid. We’d eat here again!

This beer was outstanding! The Kolsch was phenomenal, while the other 3 I had (harvest ale, Scottish and Citra session) were excellent also. Nice job brewmaster! With so many breweries cranking out mediocre beers, this place really stands out.

The space is nice for indoor and outdoor seating. There is a large menu. We thoroughly enjoyed the spinach & artichoke dip and the brussel sprouts, however we were very disappointed with the loaded fries - it had no taste. The meat in pork tacos was extremely dry. The pizza was very average. They seemed short staffed. It was hard to get a server’s attention. We tried for several hours to call for a reservation and no one answered the phone. It was our first visit to this restaurant and overall we would not come here again.

Very good food! Their fries were amazing and their beer selection did not disappoint. The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming! Their cheese for their Mac and cheese is house made and some of their menu items are locally sourced. The plates are large portions and run about $14-$20 a meal. They have a patio that is dog friendly and our service was prompt.

Excellent beer and food. Be sure to sample the Coconut Brown ale - wow! It’s the best sipping beer around. Start with the awesome pretzels. Salads are fresh with a variety of greens. Burgers are top level. The servers are friendly and helpful in selecting beers, and the service is great, even when it’s busy. The outside patio and covered dining area is clean and quieter than the inside tables. Enjoy a walk through town afterwards. And get some fresh brews to take home.

We experienced a significant delay in receiving our meal. Upon its arrival, the quality of the food was not up to par. Specifically, the wagyu steak, which I requested to be cooked medium, was served rare. Due to my hunger and the server's infrequent presence, I chose to consume it as is. Had the service been more efficient and the food prepared as requested, I would have gladly offered a four-star review.

Stopped in for food and beer. Everything thing was amazing. Michigan Cherry Salad add chicken with the house made honey vinaigrette - so delicious! Husband had the Philly Cheesesteak- excellent - generous amount of shaved ribeye. He was very happy. Beer cheese with the pretzels is also made in house - very good. We did 2 - 5 pour flights. Very impressed with the beer. Our server was very attentive and offered good recommendations. We sat on the patio with our dog. Excellent environment - tables are well spaced which I think is great so the dogs don’t get too crowded.

Crab Rangoon pizza is a must get here. The brussel sprouts with bacon and Michigan cherries are also a tangy and sweet treat. Highly recommended?

Went with group of six on a Saturday night in November. They have a great selection of beer and solid food choices. All enjoyed their meals. We split a pizza. It was the perfect size for two plus had a couple pieces left for hungry boys. Service was friendly and relatively quick for having a mix of burgers and pizza. As with most brewery dining rooms, it can be a little tough to hear people at your table because the sound is very live.

The PM has gotten way too busy! Used to be a nice quiet place to fish or float....now it’s a total zoo! Also, I’ve heard the locals are not very kind if you have an out of state plate. The Pine is much less busy and way more fun to float.

On every adventure, we go to a local coffee shop and Res Rooster did not disappoint. Firstly, everything is fair trade and organic AND fantastic quality! Truly, the coffee was rich and aromatic and they have a very wide selection. One of best tasting coffee shops we’ve gone to recently for certain. Secondly, their syrup selections are all made in house and it SHOWS. My frappe had a rich and decadent flavor without all the additives in other store bought syrups. Third, they have free WiFi, their bathrooms were clean, and they have lots of places to sit. I really enjoyed my drink and would recommend them easily to anyone. Last, I did notice some complaining about the sizes, but I think that the prices are very comparable to Biggby and Starbucks (some menu items being much cheaper).

I always hunt out local coffee shops rather than buying from a chain. Red Rooster has good cold brew but I would have like to have a larger size? For what I pay, it feels like the serving is a bit small. Regardless, the atmosphere, employees, and WiFi are top notch. Today I listened to one of the baristas take the time to have a lengthy conversation with an obvious long time customer and I thought it was great! Keep up the good work!

Great coffee and atmosphere! They have fresh baked bread and delicious pour over coffee. I had the whole wheat bread with cashew butter and the decaf pour over with almond milk. I was in town for Labor Day weekend and wanted to come here to get some work done and check out the place. Would definitely recommend!

This is summer favorite for us when we visit Ludington. It has a great selection with creative and delicious offerings. I love the local connections to the menu with homemade syrups and honey from the local vendors. The atmosphere is clean, trendy and so friendly. A must stop if you are in the area and need your caffeine hit!

We stopped in here for a quick coffee and were impressed with the amount of space inside. It definitely seemed like a great spot to stop and have a coffee, maybe a small bite to eat with friends or to get some work done in the mornings. The coffee was good and the staff was kind and friendly.

It was our first time exploring the Manistee & Ludington areas. I searched for a local coffee shop for 2 days and nothing caught my attention until I came across Red Rooster. It was everything I was looking for. Family owned & simple yet very attractive & welcoming atmosphere. The staff was extremely friendly. Syrups for lattes are house made which is something I always look for. My iced oat milk miel was made with local honey and it was delicious. I highly recommend. They also had a nice assortment of organic baked goodies including sliced sourdough with any spread you could want. We will make sure to stop here any time we are back in the area

Great location in Ludington, walkable to the water and town stores and restaurants. Hosts were kind and welcoming. Breakfast was very good—quiche, salad, fruit. Got some great recommendations for local visits in the area from the hosts. We had a smaller room but it was comfortable and adequate for us. Great stay.

Stayed her for one night on a leaf peeping tour. What a wonderful B&B! Beautiful home and Dan & Jen have thought of everything one needs! Our room was the Carpenter Room, it was very comfortable and having a fridge with water and soda right outside the rooms for the guests is always so nice! The coffee/tea/cocoa bar in the dining room 24/7 with a yummy dessert available was much appreciated. Jen is a wonderful chef, breakfast was delicious! Will definitely stay here again when in the area!

Beautiful home on a well maintained property. The rooms have a special touch with a candy dish and nice decor. The breakfast is outstanding! Food locally sourced and gourmet dishes. Very generous meal. The hosts Jen and Dan are friendly, helpful and always aim to please. I really hesitate to leave a review for I don’t want it booked up when I plan to return!

An Incredible Bed and Breakfast location. In a previous review, another person wrote that the Lamplighter is the epitome of a B&B experience. We wholeheartedly agree. It was a beautiful place, with great owners and an exceptional breakfast. Loved it and we plan to visit again.

This was the most delightful stay when traveling through Michigan, then onto the ferry to Wisconsin. So convenient and comfortable. It was an easy walk to the town and lots of breweries and restaurants. Quiet and the hosts, Dan and Jen should write a book on hospitality. The breakfast was t5 stars and the strawberry biscuits were to die for. If you are going to Michigan it is worth the stop!

The high rating is due in large part to the exceptional efforts of the hosts to make the stay a treat. Jen got up before we left at 5:00 am(!) to prepare a bagged breakfast for our fishing charter. And it was absolutely delicious, as was the more usual breakfast next morning out on the deck. The rooms were very clean and quiet, although most of the rooms are on the 2nd floor. The setting and house are quite pleasant and in generally very good condition. My least favorite aspect is that the B&B is located on a fairly busy street, although the noise does not seem to reach into the house.

Took a quick drive to Ludington and had a great sushi dinner. Delicious sushi and Jesse M provided terrific service. Best restaurant in Ludington. The spicy seaweed salad is definitely spicy but really good.

Out for a girls’ weekend, we had passed by this place earlier during the day and noticed it was packed. We all know that’s a good sign, right? So, we decided to stop in rather late that night for dinner and drinks. Luckily, the kitchen was still open! The bartender and our server (the sweetest girl ever visiting from Romania) were wonderful. The Blueberry mules were delicious! Our late night dinners consisted of some pretty amazing birria tacos and Colorado Nachos. We also couldn’t resist dessert to go and let me tell you…don’t pass up on that cheesecake flight!

This was the worst food I have ever had. The salsa was literally tomato paste. The quesadilla was only a big pile of greasy burger with no cheese or veggies. I couldn’t eat any of it. Worst food and worst service. So disappointed.

Would rate this place zero stars if I could. We had a semi-large party and they sat us at two separate tables. Our table's sushi was served to the other table and they expected us to get up everytime we wanted the sushi that WE ordered. The owner did not offer to fix it and bring our food to OUR table. He brought us a spatula from the kitchen to transport our food. All of the toppings were falling off and not good at all. Absolutely ridiculous. The owner does not care about the customers or the quality of his food.

Owner is very rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. Our party took up two tables and all of our sushi was served on one plate. Instead of taking the tray back and taking accountability, we were handed plates, spatulas, and tongs to plate our food ourselves from the other table. All of our food came out at different times leaving our party waiting for each other to finish eating. -100/10 recommend.

The food and service here was very good, we both got the Sockeye Salmon Burger and it was GREAT. The atmosphere and music was very pleasing too!

This restaurant is extremely weird. It really doesn't have an identity. The menu has five different styles of cuisine and then they have a full bar that takes up half of the restaurant. I mean, if you have a group of people who really want Mexican, sushi, pasta, barbecue and American food then this is the place. The wings were pretty good but the sauce wasn't house made, the grilled chicken wrap was mediocre but the ranch was bad. I also think the prices are just a bit steep. Which wouldn't be bad if the food was good but it's not. Then to top it all off, my wife's wrap came out of the kitchen about 20 minutes after everything else. They did apologize and gave us $1.80 (10%) off....

This place is awesome. Amazing food, friendly staff and nice welcoming atmosphere. I look forward to trying every dish on the menu. It is a refreshing to find healthier options at a restaurant. Pictured the Baja Chicken Omelet and Homemade hash breakfast. They served the toast with homemade strawberry jam 😋 I only wish they were open later. Being farmers we often don't get finished until later in the day and miss out on having lunch or early supper here.

Food was amazing. The Southwest breakfast burrito was killer. I hate tomatoes. They came in the black bean salsa, but I devoured it. We asked for well done hash browns and they were super crispy. Our server was awesome, and our food came really fast after ordering.

This spot is great! The atmosphere is quaint and intimate. Seating options both inside and outside and a breakfast menu that meets everyone's wants. Ordered the Corned beef and eggs meal, which was amazing and my wife ordered the country benedict which the homemade biscuits added another level to the dish. Our food came out very quick, even with the restaurant being a tad busy, which is testament to the cooks. Our server Kaitlyn was amazing, she was super nice and fun to talk to. I definitely recommend this place.

We were pleasantly surprised with this place, first time we had eaten here and we go to Ludington quite a bit. The prices were a tad high for what I was hoping for, but we really enjoyed our food. When I first got my sandwich my thought was "a little stingy on the chips" but the taste of the sandwich made up for it, and frankly, my gut tells me I don't really need that many chips. All in all a good experience. I'd like to come back here and try the breakfast!

Absolutely fabulous experience. Courtney at the bar is amazing! Best Martini ever!!! We had the duck and shrimp and grits, both were 10/10. If you’re in town… definitely check this place out. And honestly, get a bar seat! Courtney made us feel so welcome and had great conversation, great asset to Table 14

We live in Amsterdam (Netherlands) and have dined internationally. This is a fabulous restaurant which could hold its own in Chicago, NYC, or any major city. Charming ambiance, excellent food and wine. Our server Jason was attentive, friendly, and efficient. The crab cakes and pecan coated trout were sublime and the homemade lemon pie to die for. Highly recommended!

We ordered the she-crab soup (very good) and crabcake (good but small) as our appetizer. Entree’s were shrimp & grits and fried chicken. The shrimp & grits were ok but I wouldn’t order again. The grits were almost in a soupy texture and not a lot of flavor unfortunately. The fried chicken entree was delicious. The gravy was perfect and the green beans had a great smoked flavor to them. We ordered extra gravy for an additional cost but worth it. Service was really good as well. We will be back!

Table 14 is a 5 star experience from beginning to end. We were greeted by a lovely hostess and seated at our favorite spot-the bar. Courtney does a fantastic job as both bartender and server and all around expert at all things culinary. We have dined here many times and never had anything but a perfect meal. The only thing that matches the elevated food experience is the service. We are always greeted warmly by the owner Laura and her husband the chef. If you ever find your way to this lovely town please do yourself the favor of visiting Table 14. You will NOT be disappointed!

We were beyond disappointed. Two of us ordered the crab cake, pork belly, scallops and shrimp & grits. The seafood ingredients are good quality, fresh and good size and generous portions. But for a supposedly top notch eatery, the sauces lacked flavor and complexity. The pork belly, while well seared, tasted bland and bristly. The shrimp and grits came in a heavy tomato based sauce that tasted dull and salty. Of the 4 dishes we ordered, 3 came with grits. I like grits but I didn't come to a fancy eatery to fill up on heavy carbs. The final straw was how overpriced the menu is. Two of us with 2 appetizers, 2 mains and 1 glass of wine, no dessert and no coffee, paid almost $150.

My husband and I went here for our anniversary (not our first time eating here). It was my first time out in 5 months after having our daughter. We both ordered the filet medium well. Both came out encased with an incredibly thick hard black char. You could barely cut through it and it tasted like you were licking an old grill grate. When the waitress came over she saw that they were not done properly and immediately talked to the manager/owner without us even bringing it up. The person in charge then preceded to come over and ask what was wrong and made a huge scene. It was ridiculous, uncalled for and horrible.

This place is a must-stop if you are in the Ludington MI area. The food was fantastic. We had a good mix of items and all were delicious. My teenager raved about the Mac and cheese and I had a pork belly burnt ends baked potato bowl that was the best I’ve had. The restaurant itself was clean, had great seating and I enjoyed the art on the walls (all available for sale, done by local artists). I had a great time and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I love the option to purchase meals for a “pay it forward” system. I left with a full heart from that and a full belly with the food. Can’t wait to go back on our next trip.

The Q Smokehouse catered a birthday party for my family over the weekend and they went above and beyond! The food was absolutely delicious, prices are very reasonable and Dave is a pleasure to work with. I had people text me this morning raving about the food! Highly recommend for your next gathering!

We had the best catering experience for our wedding with Q ! They showed up on time with delicious hot food that exceeded our expectations! The guests raved about the food ( mac and cheese and pulled chicken was the biggest hit)and all the sauces. Thank you all so much!

We had heard good things about Qs. However, we were a bit nervous when we walked in at 5pm on a Friday to a completely empty restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly, and we ordered ribs, pork belly burnt ends, pulled pork, brisket, Mac n cheese, beans, corn bread, and a pulled pork sandwich. With a few Faygos to wash it down. Wanted to basically try all the smoked meats. We sat out back, and the staff brought out our meal quickly. We popped open the containers, and my first impression was that it looked a bit dry. We dove in and pigged out 🐖 🐷 The smoked meats were delicious, the ribs and burnt ends that looked dry were moist and full of flavor. The brisket bark was absolutely delicious. The mac n cheese was like mom used to make. The only criticism I would have is that the cornbread was dry, and the beans were just not my liking. I have tried BBQ all over the country, and this was a standout

Food was bland no fountain drinks very limited drinks in cooler. Way too many political options posted on windows. So close to walking away since owners support everyone except America not sure why I supported an American small business. Employees were very friendly, only positive.

We live in town and have tried this place 3 times. I wish we could give it a better review. The food is just so expensive for what you get. They always seem to be out of things like brisket and their sides are just ok. They do have some good queso and homemade chips but again, it’s really expensive for such a small portion. On a side note, they can’t seem to decide if they are a restaurant or a political mouthpiece. While we were eating outside, we watched several people walk up, read the political posters on the front door, and walk away. But they seem to do well, so they must have a good following.

Looks nothing like the photo online. They forgot the peanuts and hardly put any vegetables, green onion and cilantro. First time ordering this spicy sweet noodle bowl. Very disappointed, it was a to go order. Staff were nice and the place was clean.

Great place for the community of Ludington and visitors thereof. A nice building, well maintained, I believe it was a church that was built in 1896 and had an add on in 1926. They have music, art, crafts and more to explore. The staff there, are all super wonderful!!!

Enjoyed Girls Rock show. Loved the whole experience. A community bonded in exploration of the arts. A good time was had by all.

A gorgeous building cleverly repurposed into an arts center. I love the architecture as well as the programs they offer!

So many good things happening here, LACA is an absolute community treasure. Whether a gallery exhibition, classes, concerts, or more, they’re all done brilliantly and made available to everyone.

Absolutely love the back area by the south bathrooms. We were almost the only ones back there and loved the quieter side of the park. The bathrooms/showers were spacious and clean and loved how they even had a dish washing station. The only issue we had was the shower water was freezing, even if you put it all the way hot. The most you'd get was just under lukewarm.

This is a fantastic campground. We enjoy having our RV here as a Basecamp while we explore the area. So many nice campsites and extremely good staff. There is a mountain bike track that is a blast. The playground in the park is very cool with lots of nice equipment. Climbing wall, etc. Makes us wish we were kids again 😄 The bathhouses and restrooms are fairly new and very well set up. The staff at the park keep them very clean and nicely stocked. They are also friendly people to chat with! Very good camping for the doggos. The trail goes to a Bark Park also.

Very cool trails to walk, bike or hike. Both paved and off road trails available and very cool windy paths to explore.

1st, let me thank the owners of Cartier park Campground for such an amazing experience..If your looking for a nice, well priced place to stay without breaking the bank, then.. look no further. Doesn't matter if you have an RV or a Tent.. This place accommodates either way. Cartier park Campground is quiet and peaceful. And it's on the lake. The owners are very nice and helpful. The showers 🚿 are hot and clean. There is a playground for the kids and good fishing, nature 👣 trails, and dog park called Central Bark. It's close to Stearns Park beach, and a mini mart. Walmart and Meijer are just a few miles up the road. There is so many things to see and do. You won't be disappointed!

We camp this year after few years break, still friendly stuff always packed camping and renovated bathrooms end. Showers. The place is close to state park and dunes great place

Central Bark is a favorite place to take my Boston Terrier to. Everyone is always friendly. Follow that visit up with a loop around the walking trail to see and photograph all the great wildlife that live there.

It was a wonderful park to bank in with excellent bathroom, shower, and laundry facilities. They also had wifi! I was camping in a tent and had no issues with the terrain.

In terms of mtb trails, this is a little gem. Park st the disc golf Course and ride west, you'll find some great squiggly singletracks through the woods. The trail has multiple loops which are color coded:, think of the green as the main loop and orange and blue and red side loops. Red does continue across the road so look at the maps closely before you head out. With planning and a little street riding you can get to a couple other trails nearby turning a nice trail into an epic adventure. The trail itself is firm loam with sandy places, and plenty of roots, there's even a couple little loops towards the beginning that have rock features and a little wooden whoopdy, but you can skip these loops if you're not there for thrills. Almost any bike that is upright with good brakes and knobby tires should be able to handle this except a road bike or maybe a cruiser with too narrow of tires. I rode my modern full squish and was way over-biked but that bike is my love so I didn't care. It was just nice to be pedaling in the woods. There are a couple small hills to keep it interesting but nothing crazy. As with all adventures in northern Michigan woods, bring bug spray in case you have a mechanical. I did not notice if dogs are allowed but didn't look for that info. Keep an eye out for hikers, and do beware of overly talkative disc golfers at the start of the trail.

Surprisingly fun single-track near Ludington. Track is unique in design consisting of a "spine" with several branch loops off of it. Fair warning - it's a bidirectional track so you will come in contact with on-coming riders. Use all necessary etiquette to address. This also means you can run the full track in two different directions for a different ride. Several sections give option of splitting off for "easy" or "hard" - always take hard (cuz it isn't that hard). Track is fast, flowy and fun with gentle climbs and fun downhills. Nothing seriously technical at this track but a really enjoyable ride.

It’s a very nice easy trail. Perfect for families. It does intertwine with frisbee golf. Would recommend. The only reason I give it three stars. It is completely fat. It is a nice walk through the forest.

I love coming here and walking my dogs through the woods. Well organized trails and beautiful anytime of year are always different. Nice people in the area never had an issue here. Just be careful when you're walking around. You might be on a bike path, so pay attention for the bicycle people coming up from behind!

My dog loves walking here, very pretty any season and wonderful to have trails like this in town.

Came for mountain biking with kids (7-10) and the trails are basically 5-star for young novice riders. Predominantly flat, well kept, and marked well. The basic trail is an out and back with three different optional loops so you can easily tailor your ride length.

Nice spot close to town/campgrounds. Good size loops for beginners or a quick ride for exercise.

Was a little confused if I needed to go to the bar to order or if waitresses came by. After that was solved everything was excellent. Great beer selection. Pizza was amazing. Was devastated when the raccoons stole our "to go" pizza back at the campground.

We stopped here on our way home after reading so many great reviews. This is definitely not a "judge a book by its cover" kind of place. Once inside, the staff is helpful and friendly and checks on you often. And the food was delicious! I had the fried perch, and the batter was SO amazing. The serving size is more than enough. The hubs had the wet burrito, and it was huge and also really tasty. We will visit again when in the area.

This place was amazing! I came here on my last night of being in Ludington and this was jam packed. Homecoming and regulars and tourists. The staff handled everything quickly and efficiently. Great teamwork from what I witnessed. The food was great and the speed was just as good. I sat at the bar, got ID’d, and was able to place my order. I ended up getting the blueberry Moscow mule, water, and the fajita salad. Which was good. The veggies were really salty though so it was a bit rough to eat them. I would say it you have a large party, this place can handle it all. Pick this as your next big destination if you are coming in a large pack or a small group.

Great place for out-of-towners to visit. Everyone very polite and friendly. Nice craft beer selection, food menu ok. They have a stage and live music on occasion. You can walk into the restaurant next door and get a wider array of food options. I love the place. They stay open later than mentioned here.

Gives a tribute to Father Marquette. A huge cross overlooks both Lake Michigan and Pere Marquette Lake, right off the side of the road. We found it a 20 minute diversion.

This is a store that combines four stores in one space. It is a fun space where you can enjoy beautiful art pieces, experience spaces, delicious drinks, warm tea, and sweet cakes, and even make your own works of art.

Such a cute, airy, cozy spot!! I had the kombucha flight (the Namaste was my favorite but all were delish; this would be super fun to share with a friend or two) and the chocolate pu-erh latte, iced, with almond milk - HIGHLY recommend, it was sweetened just enough to taste like a fancy grown-up version of chocolate milk 😋 Only thing is I wish they had some more outlets for sitting and working. But the seating they did have was lovely and comfortable, and I'd recommend chilling here with a book or a similar offline task any day. I will be back whenever I come through Ludington!

Great atmosphere & vibes :-) with a side of friendly downtown -Abbey!!- My daughter and I were derailed when our day went south due to the change in the weather, soooo we decided to take shelter at The Pier, greeted by Abbey with an amazing melt in your mouth Banana Latte & Hot Chocolate for her :-) with a side of checkers :-) Thank you! For always being a fresh gentle touch to the day :-)

Got the Sipping Chocolate and Pumpkin Chai Latte. Both were delicious. A great selection of fun teas too with a sample wall so you can smell them which is fun. Neat space inside with different games at all the tables (chess, checkers, connect four, etc.)

Came here with two friends to escape from the cold outside. Abby greeted us at the counter, very friendly and knowledgeable of the teas. Abby was able to make recommendations to help guide our tea experience. She really knows her teas. Major plus for this location is no up-charge for dairy subtitutes in our drinks. Another plus is a portion of the proceeds goes toward stopping human trafficking. Location is inside with three other businesses, with plenty of space to sit and enjoy yourself. Pictured is April Showers tea, tasting like Fruit Loops, and Maple Chaga Chicory tea, made of mushrooms but tasting like smokey maple coffee.

The pretzel was the best I’ve ever had, but they don’t give enough dipping sauce for as big as the pretzel is. I wanted the chicken salad, however they were out at 3pm. No excuse for that! Got the pulled chicken instead. It was good but could have used more sauce. Service was average.

Hands down the best coffee in town! I love the coop! Everyone is always very friendly and service is great. This family is amazing. The food is also AWESOME and very affordable!

We came here last year on our vacation and it was my first stop again this year. Hands down the best soft pretzels and their food is high quality. We got the pulled pork and tacos and everyone loved their food. Coffee shop attached is really excellent as well. The staff at both were friendly and helpful. The outdoor are outside is really great. The kids can run around and throw corn hole bags. Highly recommend!

This centrally located eatery is ideal for kids and For the pretzel lovers among us, this place delivers—pretzels are made onsite. That said, the tacos were just okay. Seating is limited: two tables inside and two shaded ones outside. The rest are in full sun. The restaurant is next to a small green space with cornhole equipment. I’d recommend this spot because it makes the kids happy. And really, at the end of the day…

I had their hot chicken sandwich and cinnamon pretzel and it was divine! The chicken was moist and flavorful. Same with the pretzel but for different reasons. I'm still thinking about this days later. Dear Cluck Bucket, Please consider opening a store in Indianapolis, IN. We would except you with open arms. Thanks!

Our experience here was incredible! We had dinner at their food truck and later visited the actual location for dessert. We got their cinnamon pretzel topped with strawberry ice cream and I think it was one of the best things I’ve ever had. The service was incredible too!

Ordered a couple of boba teas from one truck and the service left us feeling meh. Pizza from the other food truck was tasty! The hot dogs are always good! More helpful staff with better tips and suggestions so that no one feels rushed or out of the loop would make things perfect at the The 10 Spot! :)

Amazing baked potato at the Roast’d truck

Good place for big servings of comfort food with a side of local history. And friendly service, too. The Hot Meatloaf Sandwich was all you hoped for, and as much as grandma tried to make you eat! And the homemade bread could have come directly out of her oven - impressive!

First time there was an amazing experience. It’s a very relaxed place to dine. The food was amazing and if you want to learn about a restaurants food quality check out their salad bar. I have never encountered a salad bar that was this fresh ever. The waitress that served us was pleasant and a delightful young lady. When I unrolled my silverware from my napkin there wasn’t a single water spot anywhere. This says a lot as they pay attention to small details. They have homemade bread and pies and we are looking forward to dining here when in Ludington.

Very nice place to go. They offer a lot of different options. We went early in the morning and the staff were very attentive. Honestly a bit pricey for the food you got, but over all we had nice time! Definitely recommend the cinnamon roll!

Local diner with options for everyone. Free parking out front and lot in the back. Overall the food was pretty good with massive portions. The staff was kind and service was good. They offer breakfast all day, which is a win in my book! Gluten free options. Wheelchair accessable from the back (I didn't use the front door, so I can't speak on that front). Note that the door doesn't have an accessable button, so opening the door in a chair may be more difficult. I did think it smelled kinda funky when I first walked in, but didn't notice it after a while.

What a nice meal! I brought the whole family here 45 min before closing on a Monday, and was welcomed with open arms. The food was excellent (I had fried perch which was cooked to perfection), but the prices were even better. All of us ate full meals, and we even got a bottle of Michigan wine, and the total was $78. Extra special thanks to Marsha, the owner, who helped me retrieve my drivers license that I accidentally left on the SS Badger! I have eaten in countless restaurants all over America, and this will go down as one of my favorites.

Atmosphere could use some updating, but otherwise was pleasant. The food was delicious; I got the wet burrito 🌯, the red sauce was a bit overpowering. The service was friendly.

We stopped in mid afternoon for a light lunch. This was the first time we had been here. Service and waitress very friendly. Atmosphere was great! We were seated by a painting from 1937. Impressive! Now..on to the food and beverages. We ordered Draft beers that were fairly priced and..nice and cold!!!! We ordered Vegetable soup, Sampler platter and Saganaki ( flaming cheese ) . Soup tasted great! Sampler platter which had chicken strips, potato skins with bacon, mozzarella sticks , deep fried mushrooms and onion rings (missing in photo due to my love of onion rings) and dipping sauces. One word Fantastic!!! Everything was delicious. I had to order another cold draft it was so good and cold! lol It was high 80s outside. Also, It went with the Saganaki that was like desert. We recommend the Old Hamlin Restaurant with enthusiasm!! OPA!!!!!

Perfect spot to take your dogs and enjoy the beach, nice wide beach area and can walk the beach south of the parking lot. Has two porta johns and also provides public lifejackets for kids. Plenty of parking, go during the week.

Awesome small stretch of public beach with great views. Visited on a Tuesday and had it to ourselves. And the pups loved it.

We loved this park/beach. The dogs were all having fun, running and playing on the beach, the humans were having fun, too! This is an easy walk from the parking lot and there is PLENTY of beach for all!

Buttersville Park is a gem in the Ludington area. It's south of the channel, offers beautiful view of Lake Michigan surrounded in sand. It's great for sunbathing, family time or a peaceful setting for a sunset.

We had the opportunity to visit the Buttersville Park in APR_FY2024 and it was an amazing experience. We did a plant tour and for sure it's a beautiful place, especially to visit on a hot summer day. The land around the Buttersville Park is also remarkable, even a simple ride across the roads could be an unforgettable experience. Definitely, it's a place where we want back.

Loved this beach because my older dog was able to enjoy with ease. Parking right next to beach area. They offer doggy bags. Have porta-potties. And wooden stairs to the left that lead to a trail. Good spot.

Great sandy beach,it was not crowded. Pet friendly,you can let the dog off leash on other side. There is playground on the campground, it is great place to relax, while watching sunset,kids play in the playground.

I had the fried White fish tackle box. Everything was good. I debated between blackened and fried. I hoped to possibly get half and half or buy a small side but it didn't see anything on the menu indicating either option was available. So I end up with fried and it was a hardy portion of fish. I thought the coleslaw was kind of plain with fruit added to it. Hush puppies very good, standard ok fries.

Tiny little space (off the main street through Ludington) where you go in, order, go back outside where there’s an outdoor area built by the town for hanging out. Even a fireplace structure in the center! They buzz you to come back to pickup window and get your food. A mix of non-alcoholic and alcohol drinks to choose from in two coolers. Michigan Cherry slaw or fries are side choices with about 10 different fish sandwich options. Yummy and fast!

Ordered the blackened grouper tackle box. The fries and coleslaw were good, the fish had good flavor but it was super dense and dry like they are pressing it or using a meat weight on it. I was hoping for light and flaky unfortunately thats not what i received. Maybe try it grilled or fried instead. Place was super clean, staff was friendly, good selection of canned cocktails.

Great place for fish. Light breading, excellent perch. You get about 7 pieces, fries, couple hush puppies, coleslaw fire about 19 bucks. More than enough. We split one dinner. Outside dining only but great sitting area just outside at legacy plaza. Our go to fish whenever in town.

Fast and friendly service. Good variety of perfectly prepared fish and sides. I had the smelt with hush puppies, fries, and coleslaw, and everything was delicious. There is no indoor seating, but there are a number of tables right out front in a foot-traffic only area that has ample parking close by.

Grilled shrimp was fantastic! I would love it more if they served it with a small bed/cup of rice , otherwise it tasted amazing and the employees were killing it today! 👌 😋

Frys and hush puppy and coleslaw were good. Fish was cooked well but extremely fish tasting. I knew i was in trouble as soon as I grab the bag. Maybe grouper is like that but way to fish for me. I'll stick to my fish at home. I did choke it down because it did cost me 27 dollars. Would have mich rather had a cracker barrel cod dinner.

It's so nice to pull up to a fuel dock and have help from the dock. The staff were super nice, friendly, professional and helpful. I had a nice rest at the $5 seawall before crossing the lake. The marina is one block from downtown shops and restaurants and located in a large recreational park. Really great downtown area too.

This marina, its staff and boaters, is better than any municipal marina I have been in the last 62 years I have been all over the state of Michigan to many of our marinas and this one is my favorite. The staff members at the fuel dock are very friendly and helpful. Remember to tip them it is well deserved because most if not all are students, and they have a poopie job sometimes (Pump outs)!!! The facilities are clean, maintained, and organized. They have clean bathrooms and showers, an on-site cleaning station, picnic area, parking and a short stroll to town where you can enjoy delicious food, ice cream and yummy treats at the House of Flavors or make a quick stop at Westco. Stayed 1 night. Marina employees were awesome. Had 3 slip changes before we arrived. They tried to call us to let us know. Very helpful getting us into the slip. As far as the showers and restrooms, they were suitable. Everything is locked at the marina including the recycle trash cans. The marina is about 4 blocks from town. Easy walk. Ludington itself is. Irving to write home about. A few t-shirt shops, fudge and candy store and some pubs. While at the marina we were slipped in A 2, the cigarette boat owner cleaned his bilges while in slip A1. He had oil or gas in his bilges and proceeded to dump it all in the water. Not a little bit but a lot. Staff tried to remediate but there was so much. He did this again the next morning dumping more fuel. We will pass on this marina in the future and go to Pentwater instead. Better town but not as experienced marina staff. Attached is a picture of the boat that dumped fuel into the marina.

Great marina, with very helpful staff. Very convenient location. Fantastic view of SS Badger. We accidentally left our clothes in the dryer and they helped us retrieve them until we could come collect. Showers and toilets are clean, there's ample dock space during off season.

It's calm, relaxing and beautiful 🥰 YOU can take a relaxing walk, sit and read or just let the lake stare at ya. We go her often for our 2 mile walks.

Great location! Easy walk to downtown or the beach. Melanie surprised us with an upgraded room for my birthday which was above and beyond. There are PLENTY of breakfast options and everything was delicious! Bed was super comfy too!

The best bed and breakfast I’ve ever experienced! Melanie and her crew were just amazing in every possible way! Friendly, accommodating, exceeding all my expectations! The breakfasts were absolutely fabulous and everything freshly prepared! She even had daily treats prepared for us to help ourselves anytime during our stay! I can’t say enough about Melanie and the Candlelite Inn! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience!

Exceptional. Above and beyond accommodations, food, and service. They have thought of EVERYTHING. My husband and I stay at a lot of bed and breakfasts and we both agree this was one of our favorites! The homemade baked goods and breakfast were superb. I am gluten free and Melanie made some special treats JUST for me along with a very special breakfast. I will be dreaming about her gluten free French toast. The inn is 2 minutes from the S.S. Badger. Next time we visit will definitely be a longer stay!

I found this B&B through an online magazine for people with dietary sensitivities while looking for a place for my husband and I to celebrate our first anniversary. The owner and her sons are incredibly accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable, luxurious stay free of my daily food stress. Their signature eggs were so good it got my husband to eat breakfast (he almost never has more than a cup of tea) and I still think about the potatoes. We had roses and chocolate covered strawberries in our room. They also gave us recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. It couldn't have been a better stay.

What a gem! Our first time staying at the B & B and it was extremely pleasant. Melanie was such a gracious hostess and even far better cook and baker. We would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area. Quiet and Accommodating is how I would describe the Inn.

This is an amazing little park. They have a pedal pad for younger kiddos to ride bikes around on. Picnic tables, benches, and a pavilion. Theres an amazing splash pad (foot activated...put a bare foot over the spot in the middle and you might need to wait a minute...it registers body heat). And a playground with slides and swings. Every time we've been, it hasnt been too busy. Its a favorite for us! Only downside is theres no baby/toddler swings, but not enough of a downside to rate it 4 stars lol. Its even dog friendly (no poo bags provided though...bring your own!).

Good value for the tasting. However, staff should realize they’re in the hospitality industry. If their home life or personality doesn’t allow for positive interaction with customers (as stated in response to other reviews) it would be prudent to consider hiring someone who would be better suited to this to assist your customers. Additionally, several of their wines are available at the local Family Fare store for significantly cheaper where the staff was quite pleasant!

Brought my boyfriend this time around for his first wine tasting and we made a wine lover out of him! Have been to many wineries in Michigan. The winery is about the experience and I feel that the owner is very unfriendly. Wouldn’t even say hi to us when she walked in the tasting room. She had what seemed like a new employee and she kept correcting her in front of us. I felt really bad for the her. It made the atmosphere very uncomfortable. I tried to ask about a certain wine and when the employee asked the owner about it, she wouldn’t even acknowledge that we were standing right there and only would tell the employee the answers. The pours were ridiculously small, and I’m saying this as someone that’s been to dozens of wine tastings. I think the employee was just afraid to pour in front of her because she kept telling her what she was doing wrong. Some of the wines are good but most of them all taste the same. Overall very awkward experience and we will not be returning.

Love Wines may be one of west Michigan's best kept secrets. Over the years we've had chances to visit many of the wineries on the west side of the state. Love Wines has now become our overall favorite. Wine choices, quality and value make it #1. We sampled a total of 18 wines (see picture of wine list) and didn't try one we didn't like. Though the dessert wines were pricy but exceptional. We didn't try any oaked wines, but we did end up taking advantage of the 10% discount on a purchase of 12 or more bottles. Generally we purchase anywhere from none to four bottles at other wineries, if that tells you something. The wines are delightful and we enjoyed our visit immensely. The wine ingredients are locally sourced from local vineyards and orchards. We also tried their charcuterie board, which was a great value with your choice of three excellent quality cheeses (see picture) meat, olives/oil, and replenishable bread and crackers. They are in a part of town that has historic buildings and they are nearing completion on a lovely restoration of what once was the H. P. Miller Saloon. Due to road construction we actually parked on Washington and walked across the bridge a couple of blocks to get there, though we could have driven directly to their parking lot on second Street via Madison Street. They are a family run business and we had the pleasure of seeing one of their hard working and polite children, Gabriel, who had to go about some restocking after our foray. A big thank you goes to the /wine artist/owners Jana and her husband Nick for offering such exceptional overall wines and a very pleasant tasting experience.

Came in for a wine tasting in the early afternoon. The hosts were friendly and informative. The tasting areas were promptly sanitised and clean after guests turned over. A great showing of local Michigan wines.

Best wine ever! Something for everyone from whites to reds, dry, semi sweet, and sweet. Very nice owners. Also reasonable pricing. If you’re in Ludington Michigan give them a try you won’t regret it! And I just ordered more from them check them out you’ll love it. They have a great selection and they’re just great people with great wine.

We loved this course and learned so much about Ludington! The only thing we wished was that there weren't so many spots for our balls to go off the course because the holes aren't closed off entirely.

We visited TWICE during our 4 day visit! My kids enjoyed the course, Keila was fantastic and super friendly (she even played our fave songs on her speaker for us), and we played some free corn hole afterward both times! I highly recommend doing this on your first day in town so you can learn about all the places to visit in this area. A highlight of our Ludington trip. ❤️

We love this family getaway spot every time we come to the beach we always have to stop to play a little putt putt golf and my son just loves it as well. A great must stop spot when you’re in Ludington.

My son and I were visiting my cousin who lives near Ludington for the summer. It was my son's 12th birthday and he wanted to play mini golf. When I saw the Jaycee chapter name, we had to stop. We are from the Lanesville Indiana Jaycees, the very southern central part of Indiana celebrating 50th year of the chapter in 2024. We had a great time and Keila was great. We enjoyed the course and the historical references to the town. It was a great beach visit, with mini golf followed by the house of flavors which made a great day. Super fun place with a great view of the lighthouse and the SS Badger.

This is a great mini golf course! The guy there was quite friendly, the different holes are quite varied and fun, and the signs at each hole have interesting information about different historical landmarks around the area. The holes themselves even take inspiration from those landmarks. Great course. I would definitely recommend it.

Saw an episode of Under the Radar a PBS show about this father/son photography store in Ludington, Michigan. They aren't just photos, they are art. They show Michigan in all its seasons. They have something in every price range. Whether its the sand, the shore, the river, lighthouses, they have photographed it. Bought a copy of lightning hitting the Ludington lighthouse. Its spectacular.

I ordered a book from their website and it arrived timely, packaged extremely well, and is a beautiful book. Highly recommend "Eagle Eyes" for kids or coffee table book. Gorgeous and well written.

As a born and bread native of Michigan you never realize what you miss when you no longer live here. Went into shop today while I was home visiting family. I have followed on Facebook, but have never been in the store. It was beautiful. You and your family have such amazing talent. Now I am able to see Pure Michigan in the comfort 9f my KY home. Keep capturing Michigan, it was all just wonderful. Your staff was very friendly and helpful too.

I’ve been fishing with Captain Ryan since 2018, sometimes twice a season and it is always awesome! This year was the first time I took my boys on a river trip and we had a blast!! 100% recommend to anyone regardless of age or experience. He has even helped us with a large group coordinating multiple boats. Always honest, fair and fun! Tight lines!

Unbelievable day on the water with Capt Ryan and First Mate Brock! This is what you’re looking for in a fishing charter - a great boat, quality equipment, and a Capt/First Mate that know what they’re doing. This was our first time salmon fishing, and they put us right on the fish — our group hit our limit in less than two hours! You’ll find plenty of charters that get you on fish, but you won’t find better people than Ryan and Brock! We will be back every year.

FIRST TIMER! First time to Ludington, first time on a charter fishing excursion! What an experience. Capt. Ryan knew just where to take us for plentiful fishing. Both Capt. Ryan and first mate Brock were class acts and were very knowledgeable and didn’t mind if you bounced a few questions off them. One of the best experiences I’ve had with great friends and family! Great 2 days of fishing on the Fishin Affair! Captain Ryan and Captain Chris were fantastic. Great down to earth guys who love fishing and know their stuff. We did 2 evening trips on back-to-back days. We landed 15 total fish and hooked in to 20+. Came home with a 22lber and multiple 15lbs. Boat was comfortable. Spacious, meticulously clean, and it stayed that way all trip. Captain Ryan worked hard to keep us on the fish and find them when it got slow. Filleted the fish on the boat at the end of both days and bagged them so we were quick off the boat and down the road. We already booked for next season and can’t wait to do it again. Highly recommend the Fishin Affair and Captain Ryan and Chris. They made the trip!

Incredible morning on the lake with Fishing Affair Charters. Father son duo operated and they made us comfortable right away. They dropped us right on the fish and had us reeling all morning. If you get tired of hearing “Fish on” this is not for you. 10/10 would recommend for Fishers of all skill levels. Thank you Fishing Affair!

Capt. Ryan and First Mate Chris did an incredible job making our first outing on Lake Michigan an excellent time. They are incredibly knowledgeable and did a great job at helping my kids have a great time. We’ll certainly look to return in future!

I'm not really an art studio kind of person, nor do I really understand people that have the ability to make art their entire lives, but I really do like this place. Mary is great with kids and guides them gently while teaching them how to make art. My 8 yr old loves it, my other two are still a bit wild for what they are doing, but it's still fun for them.

Mary Case has a patient, and uncomplicated way of teaching her art. I first got to know her through her wheel throwing class at LACA, but her gallery and studio have a great vibe and are well worth a visit. There is a variety of unique handmade pottery available for purchase and some beautiful paintings, too. I've picked up some gorgeous pieces there! Plenty of parking out front and alongside the building. Easily accessible. Mary offers pottery classes at the studio, as well as at LACA in downtown Ludington.

We had an awesome experience with Mary at her art studio today. She helped us make a clay bird bath and berry bowl. She really listened to what we wanted to accomplish with our projects and gave us very helpful suggestions. Mary was very friendly and we would highly recommend Mary and the experience.

We had such a great evening creating our birdbaths. Mary was patient and demonstrated various techniques. We enjoyed our outdoor class on a beautiful summer evening. We will be back!

I look forward to coming here every week! I have so much fun every time and it’s the perfect mother daughter bonding time!

My family used to love this place 30 years ago. We couldn't get enough of it. So I decided to try it again since I was in town. It didn't live up to memory. I got a BLT that was scrawny (how hard it is to make a good BLT?) and my daughter had a burger that wasn't much to crow about. The only good things served at our table looked to be the wet burritos, but even those, I'm told, were only okay.

The Red Door Art Gallery in Ludington is truly a treasure. We’ve collected so many amazing pieces from them over the years, and every time we visit, there’s something new and inspiring. Their variety is incredible—paintings, pottery, sculpture, jewelry—you name it. It’s one of those rare places where you can return again and again and always discover something fresh. Whether you're a serious collector or just love beautiful things, this gallery is a must-visit.

We absolutely ❤️ Red Door Gallery! We rented one of their cottages in 2021, and visited the art gallery. The owners are kind and compassionate in all that they do. The candle that we purchased smells amazing (created by Amanda) and once it is burned down, we can use the pottery for baking in the oven! We have already baked delicious bread in our other unique pot for quests! Highly recommend their eclectic artwork, beauty, and love that they’ve created with their own hands. Amazing!

We, daughter and son own 9 fish pieces among us and we have a collection of about 20 mugs. My daughter bought beautiful ceramic wall art and my son has vases and bowls. Obviously big fans of their creations. We stop every time we are in Ludington and even made a trip just to go to the gallery. Very positive interactions with the owners.

A very friendly and helpful young man was watering the flowers outside The Red Gallery when my daughter and I walked by this morning. He was so genuine in his demeanor that we entered. I unfortunately didn't get his name but he said he was filling in for two other people. Any questions we had he quickly answered and made us feel most welcome. We didn't purchase anything but had a lovely time thanks to his dog and his own friendly manner.

Absolutely breathtaking art. I walked past this building the night before and saw the whale art and had to swing by the next morning. Inside there are many unique pieces. I see they also have classes too.

Michael and I have visited the Red Door Gallery for the past 9 years and always look forward to seeing what is new and saying hello to Amanda and Nathan, the store owners. They make beautiful pottery and other works of art and have always been very friendly and welcoming. They go out of their way to be accommodating. We consider them good friends at this point. From my perspective, the superb quality of their work far exceeds the pricing.

Nathan and Amanda are phenomenal artists that have created a beautiful place to gather, display and share their meaningful and incredibly unique pieces with other artists and those in their community near and far. They are amazingly talented in creating each piece with the utmost patience and perfection. The intricate details of their work is astonishing! I can’t wait to have their pottery in my home for many, many years to come. Working with them to select the perfect display to have shipped to my door stop has been top notch. I highly recommend The Red Door Gallery, Nathan and Amanda, and the other contributing artists they feature. 5 stars isn’t enough! Props to you all👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

WOW...I just bought the most amazing piece of art created by Jason!! This piece moved me so much; brought back great memories of family, Ludington beaches and sunsets. It was okay. It depends on what you are used to. The service was great and staff were very nice. They have a nice pool and furnish a lot of towels out by the pool. The pool is outside and open until 10:00 p.m. The breakfast is grab-n-go (muffins, yogurt, coffee, make your own toast) - that's about it. No lobby. Came with coffee maker, hair dryer, refrigerator/freezer (there is a place to get ice), A/C worked well, TV worked well. Our biggest issue is that it wasn't super clean.

A very nice motor lodge! Stayed for just one night. Spacious King room. Shower was a little small, but great water flow! Good location ans friendly folk let us check in and hour early.

Dried bodily stains on bed cover! Unsanitary and Unsafe. I always check for bed bugs - I did not find any but I found several spots of dried bodily fluid stains on the mattress cover. Nauseated. I went back to the front desk showing pictures and the lady informed me the owners have to take a look before they decide what they want to do. They didn’t have any more rooms lefts and I just wanted a refund to leave. I showed the two owners that were elderly and the Man didn’t see the problems. He kept trying to tell me the sheet covers it just fine. I told him that it is not right to just not remove it and wash it. I couldn’t believe the push back. Then I realized the stains are from other stays and they don’t care to change but put another cover over it. I left and didn’t stay as I don’t trust the cleanliness and safety of the rest of the room. I couldn’t get a refund because they said I booked through 3rd party.

From the outside, it looks inviting with a gazebo, pool, and greenery. And then you go inside and you think ok I mean I only paid $350 for 3 nights. That's not bad. I can stay here and then you go into the restroom, and there is hair and dead spiders all against the floor boards. And there is what smells like pee coming up from between the floorboards. So my socks are soaked right away. I go and let the front desk know and they say that they will send somebody to come clean it. Well, they only cleaned one side of the floorboards and left the other side completely dirty. They wiped one part of the floorboard but left the entrance of the bathroom still dirty. So we just put towels down, and every time, we would walk into the bathroom. The towels would be soaking wet from whatever was coming up from the flooring. So we mentioned it again that it was still leaking and they said that they would take care of it and we did not stay inside at the hotel a lot because I came up for my step mom's funeral. So we did not mention it again until we were leaving. She said that we did not say anything about it when, in fact, we mentioned it twice and told them that we ruined 2 pairs of socks because they smelt like pee and that so many towels were soaked in wet from whatever was coming up from the floorboards, and they said that it is water from the pipes that comes up from the floor which okay fine but why not offer us another room? Or tell us that that may happen or give us a discount or a partial refund or something. They didn't even say they were sorry. I have never left a bad review like this in any of the reviews I have left. I have not been back to Michigan in 25 years, and I will never stay at this hotel again and I hope that you do not stay here either. Room 141 Beware!! Disgusting 🫣 🤮 by the way, the pool was disgusting. The hot tub was cold, and there was so much stuff floating around the top of the hot tub that I wish it was hot enough to kill whatever was in there because I'm assuming that it didn't kill anything.

We stay here every year. The rooms are clean and housekeeping comes every day with fresh towels. Great location and is close to Stearns Park and the House of Flavors.

We stayed here the night before taking the SS Badger to Wisconsin. The price was comparable to other places in the area, but was quite expensive considering how outdated it is. We had a jacuzzi room which had a nice layout. However, the bed in room 159 was TERRIBLE. It was so hard and we could feel the springs, almost as if there was no padding at all. When returning the key the next day to the office, per instructions as it is a regular metal key, I advised the owner that this mattress needed to be replaced immediately before anyone else attempted to sleep on it.

The bed was really hard and really had no pillows. The breakfast was horrible one piece of bread and a little muffin. Nothing else. The ice machine barely worked and the pop machines didn't work at all. Was not very pleased with the hotel or the people running it.

We booked this campground online, without really looking over the sites. Short trip from the Ferry ⛴️ which was very convenient. Prices are very reasonable, water and 30 amp electric. All in all the campground is very very nice, however, try to get a sight AWAY from the road!!! It is very busy with traffic and very noisy, thus the 3 stars.

We stayed at Cartier Park Campground and overall had a decent experience. The campground itself is clean and well-maintained, and having WiFi in the park was definitely a nice bonus that made things more convenient. The biggest drawback for us, however, was the constant road noise. Unfortunately, it really took away from the peaceful camping atmosphere we were hoping for. I understand this isn’t something the campground can control, but it did make our stay less enjoyable. If you don’t mind some background traffic noise, the location and amenities here make it a solid choice, but if you’re looking for a quieter, more secluded camping experience, you may want to keep that in mind.

We loved camping here. We did not love however that an entire family, ten or more, on a rustic campsite was using electric from bathrooms to blow up their air mattresses, charge their phones and at one point had an extension cord running from the bathrooms to their tent. Then on site 33 they got away with a camper, two tents, a pickup truck and a boat all on one site but yet we had to have a visitor move even though we weren't over capacity. I don't understand why adults can't follow the rules! How do you expect children too!

Very nice campground, easy access and new shower/restroom facilities. Obviously with any lakeside city the environment is very sandy. It’s close to a lot of recreational things. Downtown Livingston was very beautiful.

Camp site 32 July 25-29, 2025, mostly level site, partial shade mid day, sand mixed with thin grass. Cellular T-Mobile iPhone 13Pro 2bars 5G Check in was seamless Water hookup worked with good pressure. Electric has 30 and 50 amp, had an issue with the breaker but maintenance replaced the breaker within an hour and we were up and running. Showers and restrooms are new and very clean. The showers and shitters are separate. Site is right next to the road and loud at times from traffic. (Annoying) Our friends used site 32 with no issues, site 33 is right next to a fence with the cemetery on the other side. We saw 3 barred owls in the cemetery right before dark. The cemetery has some rich history you can listen to on your phone.

It was about to not be a fun experience due to some degenerate parents letting their kids scream and run around all night long. 2 hours after quiet hours started I finally called the park manager who handled it promptly. Overall the park is really nice. The facilities are clean and the staff at the front were really nice and helpful.

We drove up last minute on a spontaneous road trip and were able to get a rustic spot for just $30. The atmosphere is amazing, the staff incredible and the bathrooms are clean! We will be back for sure!!!

Beautiful campground. Right next to the beach (have to take stairs up and down to beach but worth it), has a playground, ice, firewood, showers, clean bathrooms, staff is super friendly and campers are nice as well. They offer nightly stays as well as longer stays (need to be booked in advance for long stays). They have power/RV sites for $40 and tent/no power for $35. Definitely worth it. This is a beautiful hidden gem.

Quaint little campground sitting upon a bluff in Ludington Michigan. A truly remarkable view can be had here. Only amenity is 30amp service, they have a restroom and shower house. It’s owned by Pere Marquette township. They have wood to purchase for your late night campfires. Some of the sites are pretty tight for a big RV, with that, it’s well worth the price of admission to get those views.

One of the best campgrounds. The view is great, good friendly campers, good hot showers, bathrooms are clean and big free, great beach, almost private, with shallow waters for young ones and non swimmers to get in and enjoy. We enjoy the long walk to the light house. Not too far from town, and there was an ice cream vendor. Also the camp host passed out home made donuts when we were there. Sunsets are great and we watched July 4th fireworks 🎆 from the best seats in Ludington

Don’t make a reservation unless you are 100 percent sure you will use it. They do not allow any cancellations. No refunds. Even months in advance. Our site had trees with low branches over it. The branches were resting on the roof of our trailer. We had to climb on the roof and use a broom handle to hold them up to open and close slides. Sites and roads are dirt and mud. The view from over at the edge of campground is beautiful. The beach is beautiful. Lots of steps to get to and from beach. We won’t be back.

We return yearly to stay here. Love the grounds, location, and the staff. Zero complaints. Always a great time visiting!

Lovely campground!! We will be back! This campground is located right on Lake Michigan which made for a spectactular beach day adn beautiful sunsets. It is a 10 minute drive from downtown Ludington where we hit up some shops like "Sister Bees" & "Sexy Nomad". There is also a super great disc golf course called "Leviathan" located about 8 minutes from the campground! Overall - we were very pleased. Enjoyed celebrating our 5 year anniversary in nature at such a beautiful, clean, & quiet campground.

Its worth a shot to mess around, if anything to laugh at the poor design. The majority of the features dont flow or make sense. Only a few basic ones make sense. The designer knows nothing about skating and should be ashamed of himself. Sand in many places including a significant pile in the bowl. At least there are two large brooms but no pan. Sand destroys bearings quickly. Bowl geometry makes no sense. The shallow end is short and very steep, making the deep end useless. Deep end is inconsistent with weirdly slightly over vert spots.

Not bad, but needs some maintenance getting the sand out of it and whoever came up with the design was definitely not a skateboarder. It's still a cool Skate Park but to bad the name doesnt even have Skatepark in it. Smh.

Let kids be kids. Have a great time everytime we go

I love the LSP during all seasons, but especially when it's quiet and I have the whole park to myself and hiking partner. Awesome staff and greatly maintained trails that are clearly marked.

Mini golf is closed but skate park is open. Beach open with no supervision and the ice cream shop is closed yet but soon to be open. Beach is sand and water is great for swimming. Always enjoy this park when Get to this area.

Harbor view is beautiful, luddington Bay is beautiful. It’s a must see in your life.

Great marina. VERY friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful setting at virtually the end of the channel and it borders a city park with sidewalks, benches, picnic tables, and a large play area for kids. Seeing the Badger leave at sunset and return at sunrise was just an added bonus.

The young adults working the dock were wonderful with maps and dinner recs and helping fuel up. The marina is awesome. Clean clubhouse. Fireplaces. Showers and best of all pool and hot tub. Great staff.

Reservations are easy and the dockhands are awesome. Very clean restrooms, huge clean clubhouse, nice pool, close to town, some of the dock boards have rusted steel and need repair. Great diesel prices. Will return again and again.

We went here for the first time with our family of six, last weekend. It has beautiful views of the harbor and the Car Ferry's! Great place for families with small kids, because of the awesome playground. Nice place to take a walk or run. Also had a beautiful pavilion with public restrooms! Which would be great for a party. They also do free concerts in the park here in the summer.

Very clean picnic area with several very nice picnic tables. Covered picnic shelter, Covered garbage bucket area. The views of the harbor, the marina with their boats, seaguls and very friendly locals passing by. Lawn was well cut and 3 gas grills available for use. Couldn't find a thing wrong. Great place to have a picnic lunch and enjoy the views.

Have lived here my whole life. The park they have here is awesome for kids of all ages Have plenty of places to sit and watch your kids play also. Cool to watch the badger go out and come in also. All around great park!

This is by far my favorite State Park to stay at! Is it hard to get reservations? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely! There is so much to do, you'll never be bored. Spend your days walking the miles of beautiful trails; kayak Lost Lake or Lake Michigan; float down or fish the Big Sable river; take a walk to the lighthouse; spend the day at the beach; take in the wildlife while on a bike ride; end you're days with some ice cream from the camp store.

Love the beach at this State Park. It's always clean and well manicured. The bathrooms are also clean. (Wish they had hot water in the bathroom, though.) Our family has hiked to the lighthouse on the marked trail and have returned to the parking area via the beach. It's always a lovely walk (except for the time our three year old got soaking wet, when the temp was below 60° and it was windy. He said he was tired and needed to be carried the two miles back to the van 😳.) Highly recommend Ludington State Park!

July 25-28, 2025, hooked with our dogs, watched the sunset. The park is amazing and we hope to go back and try to camp. Lots of trails with shade.

Great beach, with clear water tons of space. Three volleyball courts. Accessable walkway from shelter to beach, and beach chairs available. Bathrooms (no showers) located in the shelter. The shelter offers a store/cafe in the basement and a small museum upstairs. Large free parking lot. You do have to pay to get into the park, although we saw people parking just outside the entrance to the park and walking in (unsure if you have to pay when you walk in vs drive).

Great place to go for a hike and lots of beautiful spots to take it all in. Campgeound had electric hook up, however they pack you in like sardines. We needed a neighbor to move his truck just so we could get the camper into our spot. All main roads have been paved and there is a nice bike trail through the park!

It's got the beach, dunes, old sawmill equipment, a dam, great hiking, a walkable light house and it's been recently updated. It's the most popular state park. The town of Ludington is cool also

Typical Michigan star park. Very clean. Beach was pristine. I took Zeke to the pet friendly part beach and it was a small stretch with the river feeding the lake at the end. Was not busy at all at the end of July. Always enjoy Michigan beaches.

We took the first shuttle of the day and it was already very crowded at the lighthouse which is what we expected for a Saturday. The wait was long to climb so we passed but we got some great photos and our passport book stamped. The weather was amazing too so we had an awesome time. Would definitely recommend! P.S. Look for Mari at the lighthouse. She is a volunteer and is a gem!! Loaded with info and so friendly and helpful!

Beautiful lighthouse and hike over to it! The trail was nice and smooth to walk on but I had heard it sometimes gets covered with sand which is harder to walk on. Be prepared for a 1.9 mile walk one way. Bikes are allowed on the trail ao that is helpful. The lighthouse itself is charming. The inside is neat with history and wonderful volunteers who know everything about the history. There is a gift shop and you can climb to the top for a small fee. Overall a must see if you can walk it!

Super friendly staff! Was really enjoyable to talk with them about the history of the lighthouse and experience it for the first time in 40 years (went there as a kid in the mid/early '80s). Absolutely amazing views from the top and worth the 1.5 mile walk. The walk is flat and mostly hard packed sand/dirt. Could bike it most of it with a mountain bike or larger/fat wheels.

Beautiful site and not easy to get to like most other picturesque lighthouses in Michigan. This one takes an effort but well worth it. Vital location and history (A. Lincoln was an approved of the project to build it). I noticed what I thought was a shipwreck remains just north of the site. Is that accurate? Any more info on this? See the image I shared.

Absolutely one of the most beautiful lighthouses I've ever visited! Volunteer lightkeepers were very friendly and informative. Sandy gravel 1.8 mile trail hike to get there and back from the campground. May be a harder trail for those with mobility challenges but highly recommend if you're able. Highly recommend this beauty!

It's a long walk, either through the water by boat, or over 3 miles by foot. We were disappointed because once we got there we were told you had to pay $8 each to climb to the top. Swimming in from the boat, we carried no money, wallet, ID, nothing. I asked if I could look at the control room and up the stairs, (3 steps in). The unfriendly reply I received by one of the men working there was, "No, that's included with your $8 admission." I snapped a quick pic and we left. It is beautiful and the history was interesting. There is a huge giftshop inside the addition that was added to the lighthouse years ago.

It’s a good hike to the lighthouse and back. Serene, mild incline (there), beautiful sand and pine trees. Lighthouse climb is 120 steps. Beautiful but windy beach.

Cool lighthouse lots of other things to see like the huge prop you can walk out to the lighthouse and go inside there is a gift shop in the ground floor of the light house.

This lighthouse is close to town and provides an excellent walk. In recent weeks the lighthouse has been opened for tours and a climb to the top.

Ludington North Breakwater Lighthouse is a great piece of Michigan's historic shoreline. The staff is pleasant and informative. It is a short walk out on the pier, close to the beautiful town of Ludington. It is a great place to get a cose view the S.S.Badger go out and/or return from Manitowoc, WI. This is one of our favorite places to go for breathtaking sunsets and to see all of the beautiful boats in the area, Love watching the sailboats going by as the sun is setting in the background over Lake Michigan. Definitely worth a visit for the lighthouse junkie's like myself. Highly Recommend.

The light station was not open the day we visited, so did not get to go inside it, but it was still nice to be able to walk all the way out to it and get nice views to Ludington and of the coast in both directions.

We just fished on the pier. Easy entry and plenty of room with a lot of people fishing.

Great little experience and worth the cost to climb to the top. Lots of neat history and photos along the way up. Four separate fights to climb with landings at each level. I didn't mind the $8 per adult and $5 per child when you think about helping with conservation and preservation. Military friendly as they gift free entry for the serviceman/veteran. The hike out itself is free and worth it even if you chose to not pay to climb to the top.

This is one the coolest places I've visited. It took about 2 hours to walk thru all the historic buildings. The staff is helpful and friendly. Please check this hidden gem out!

Really nice historic village! Very informative, historically accurate, and quite an extensive exhibit. We enjoyed walking through and learning about the history of the area

Wonderful location for historical education and enjoyment. Love the one-room schoolhouse that was a cafe with popcorn and ice cream and other treats. Highly recommend this as a summer and Autumn visit.

This place is amazing and kept up so well .Interesting all the buildings and historical artifacts they have we enjoyed this Took about 2 hours to walk and get thru it all. well worth it

We have stayed in Ludington a dozen times and always wanted to check this place out. Well it was worth it. We had fun looked at all the buildings and things inside of them.

Awesome historical place great for the family or friends anyone that loves history about Michigan.

It is a beautiful and educational experience. Takes you back in time to our grandparents era. Simpler and yet harder times. The way everything is displayed in each building brings things to life. Thank you for the enjoyable day. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and well worth the cost to go through tak s 2 to 3 hours depending on want for and enjoyment of pictures.
