Nature & Parks
Silver Sands State Park, located on Long Island Sound in Milford, Connecticut, is a sprawling natural paradise spanning nearly 300 acres. The park features diverse terrain including sand dunes, forests, and a saltwater marsh. Visitors can enjoy activities such as fishing and swimming at the beach or take leisurely strolls along the boardwalk to soak in breathtaking views of the sound. With its year-round accessibility and picturesque landscapes, Silver Sands State Park offers an ideal setting for outdoor exploration and relaxation.
This is a hidden gem (sorta speaking). It is a state park but I knew nothing about it. Well let’s just say it’s perfect. Besides the sand being a bit rocky. There was plenty of room here and we did not feel crowded like other state beaches we have been at in the past. The water was great, and the life guard presence was an added benefit. They have a great little outdoor restaurant there for many different food options. There was abundant parking and the upkeep of the grounds was great. The park employee at the entrance telling everyone about weed and excessive loud music being prohibited was great. I will say it’s nice to go to a beach and not have the overwhelming smell of weed constantly around.

It's great....even better for residents. Free except for people with out of state plates. :/ still, well kept, plenty of parking, even if it's on the side grassy area. Picnic areas before the actual beach. Loved it. I'll head back soon. Oh! And the water is warm. :)
Celi K — Google review
Beautiful place for pictures as there various groups taking professional shots. The tides come in and out 2x per day which opens up a path to the nearby Charles Island. Low tide in the evening allows you to walk out and take these amazing shots of the sunset. Free parking access for CT residents, out of state plates have to pay for the parking. There is a little bit of a walk along the boardwalk to get to the beaches. Park closes at sunset.
Emmanuel A — Google review
Silver Sands State Park is a real hidden gem right on the Connecticut coastline. The park offers a beautiful 1.5-mile boardwalk with stunning views of the Long Island Sound and the picturesque Charles Island. It's a fantastic spot for a relaxing stroll, and you can even walk out to the island during low tide—just make sure to watch the tide times! The beach is clean, the area is well maintained, and there's plenty of space for picnics or just lounging with family and friends. If you're a nature lover or just need a peaceful day by the water, Silver Sands is definitely worth a visit.
Ali A — Google review
Visited Silver Sands State Park during a family trip to Milford, CT in early to mid-November, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. The weather was perfect — around 60°F — pleasantly cool but not too cold. We took the Silver Sands State Park trail, which is mostly boardwalk-based and very easy to walk. After just a short stroll, you reach the beach — wide, clean, and peaceful. There’s also a rock-based walkway or jetty that extends out into the water. It’s a great spot if you enjoy taking photos or just want to take in the view. One thing that really stood out was the shoreline — it’s full of seashells of all shapes and sizes. That seemed to be the park’s unique charm. We even noticed a few ladybugs around (so if you’re not a fan of bugs, just be aware). Parking was plentiful and hassle-free. Since we visited outside of the park’s fee window, we didn’t have to pay for entry — an added bonus! We also saw a few people fishing, so it might be a nice quiet spot for anglers. There’s a porta toilet available; it was clean, though it did look like it could use a tank emptying soon. Overall, the park felt calm, clean, and scenic. If you have some free time in Milford or just want a relaxed outing with family, Silver Sands State Park is definitely worth a visit.
Veggie P — Google review
I can’t say enough good things about silver sands Park. A beautiful boardwalk that runs down the shore to several smaller beaches and through the marsh. A beautiful pier to enjoy and many fishing spots. At low tide a sandbar so you can walk over to Charles Island. Very clean beach areas with loads of shells for collectors and crafters A covered pavilion with tables and chairs to sit and enjoy your lunch, a snack bar-coffee hut. Clean restrooms, lifeguards on duty and very alert, a first aid building, bike racks, volleyball nets, charging stations for electric vehicles. Very picturesque area and at low tide is a dreamland for the young kids to play and enjoy, and if you want more privacy away from children there are several smaller beaches down the boardwalk you can choose. Plenty of room on the main beach with an incredible view of the ocean and on the day I was there many colorful sailboats sailing in the distance. On my second day back I discovered a bbq area with picnic tables. This area is away from the beach areas near the parking lot.

Silver Sands never disappoints. Real peaceful vibe — perfect place to clear your head, walk the boardwalk, or just kick it by the water. Beach stays clean, sunsets hit different, and there’s always a good breeze coming off the ocean. Also dog friendly but not much garbage cans.

Silver Sands State Park is a dream location for photographers! From sunrise over the Sound to the scenic boardwalk and tidal marshes, every view is picture-perfect. Peaceful, beautiful, and full of natural light a must-visit for any photo lover! Great for engagement, couples and family sessions.

It's a nice space. We went when there was a craft fair type of thing going on, and it was pretty cool. Also, the place is full of Pokémon Stops for the game if you play that.

I love the Milford Green! Fun ice cream places and stores. My nieces and nephews love going down to the library to play basketball, baseball, or selling some lemonade! I am a fellow Milforder and love scootering around town, not during the winter 🥶 though, it’s to cold 😅. I’m a Florida girl but this is my next favorite it adventure. My dog is now famous on Instagram because of some random guy on the green during the oyster fest 2024 and gave my dog some chicken! 🐔 she loves it! 😉 I hope the adventure will spread throughout Milford and join my journey of loving the Green! I love the Green 😍5 STARS 🌟

Eisenhower Park, the largest park in Milford, spans 44 acres and offers a diverse range of activities for visitors. The park features an extensive network of trails suitable for hiking and horseback riding, as well as amenities such as tennis courts, soccer fields, and a dog park. Nature enthusiasts can appreciate the rich wildlife and scenic landscapes within the park. Families with children can enjoy the accessible playground and splash pad while taking advantage of organized activities like story time on the walking trail.
Nice playground with tennis courts and sprinkler. Has an area for 5 and under but to me is really age 2/3 and under. I have a big 2yr old and he prefers the big kid side. Big kid side is ages 5-12. For swings they have swinging benches, a tire swing, regular swing, 3 baby swings and something that I think is a special needs swing? Not sure but it perfect for kids too big for the baby swing but not ready for a regular swing.
Maranda V — Google review
We went first time there but we loved the place. You can enjoy with family and friends where kids can play and you can hangout too.
Vibhuti R — Google review
Beautiful park, well kept grounds. Great for little ones and older kids as well.
Noemi R — Google review
looks a busy place but sadly its changed from the years I went to run for cross country. they got trails in the way back confusing to follow but the upper parking is only for residents and private so do not park their. also got a play ground and pickle ball courts . tone of parking yes great to walk your dog
Stuart R — Google review
Great place . They have a beautiful walking trail . With story time on it. Love the hiking area. To bad the lake ain’t there anymore. I use to go swimming here. Saw as lot deer, some people horse back riding. There a splash pad for the kids, playground, tennis courts, baseball field, and a soccer field . There a spot in the back for model airplanes to fly. But you need a permit to fly there. You get your permit from Milford city hall.
Ray R — Google review
Went here with the CT Foraging Club. The area was very peaceful and pretty. Perfect atmosphere for a crisp autumn hike. The pathway isn’t difficult to walk either, most people will be able to use it
Adnan S — Google review
Absolutely amazing park. Friendly people. Two playscapes one for small children one for older children, also out of this world splash pad area with plenty of room. Free to everyone even if you're from out of town. Just pay attention to parking areas one parking lot to left is for residents.
Voula S — Google review
We went looking for mushrooms and didn't really find any. But we wound up hiking along a brook that meandered through groves of older trees. It was quite beautiful. The park also has ample space for sports playing fields and even showed signs of horseback riding. It made me long for a time when I used to bring my dog to parks around the country. Many people were walking their dogs, on leashes, and it looked like they were having fun.

Nice place to walk around. Clean and maintained property.

Sister had her engagement by the waterfall n rose path. The whole thing was beautiful, then we went to fly kites and sit under the tree for a picnic. The park was clean with plenty of parking. There’s also an arch that’s covered in vines and flowers, almost like standing at an alter. Great for pictures.
Jamonia M — Google review
Boothe Park is gorgeous and the buildings are very interesting, worth a stop to stroll the grounds or walk the trails. We were there on a Saturday and everything we read said they were open for tours but nobody was anywhere around and everything was locked up. We enjoyed the rose garden and peeking in the windows then read all about the oldest homestead in America as we got back on the road!
Cindy P — Google review
A very beautiful park, not too far from the river. There are many buildings on the site, each owning their own uniqueness that paints a history filled picture. An outdoor electric train setup with a few different small tracks. A small chapel, veterans museum, models of former president's homes. The 40 corner 40 wall blacksmith shop. A garden for weddings, photo ops or just to look at. An interesting Basilica. All in all too much to mention in a short review.
Terrance T — Google review
It was very nice and well kept. Large grassy area for baseball or soccer. Big playground for kids. I found the buildings interesting although couldn’t go inside any of them. I really LOVED the rose garden and the cemetery next door.
Independent N — Google review
Grounds and buildings were well maintained. Rose gardens were if full bloom. But.....limited buildings were open and the volunteer help had limited information on the collections. It was a Sunday afternoon that was to have tours.... The main house had 2 knowledgeable staff.

Nice park, has a playrounds ,bbq area open fields and flower garden. I mostly go there for outdoor photoshoots. Plenty of parking as well.

Tribus Beer Co. is a popular brewery in Milford, having opened its doors in 2017. It has become a favorite hangout spot for locals and visitors alike. The brewery offers a variety of IPAs that have received high praise, making it stand out among other breweries in the area. With a great atmosphere and excellent service, Tribus Beer Co. also features an outdoor space and hosts food trucks regularly.
It's always a pleasant time at Tribus, especially with a pour of Blackberry Mango Acai Zazz fruited sour 😋 Tribus Beer Co. has a wide selection of beers ranging from light lagers to Imperial stouts, and they make the juciest of juicy IPAs. The brewery has a large indoor and outdoor space, which is perfect for catching up with old friends.

Great atmosphere, great service, and great beer! This place was awesome and perfect on a hot day with the mix of indoor and outdoor seating. It’s not right off the main road, so you’ll be driving deep into the industrial area to reach this place but it is so worth it. The mix of IPAs, pale ales, sours, and even a seltzer make sure that everyone in your party will find something they enjoy.
Tyler P — Google review
Great beer selections. Really smooth Benji IPA. We got the umlaut pilsner takeaway four pack. Dog friendly Biergarten outside.
Jessica S — Google review
Tribus has been our favorite local brewery since they’ve opened. Phenomenal selection of beers and more recently craft cocktails. Always hosting a wide variety of events with a great atmosphere. From DJs spinning vinyl, Art specific events to wrestling and everything in between. Nice patio area for the summer/fall months as well. ALL ABOUT THE BENJI!
Zak D — Google review
Always a good time at Tribus Beer Co. Tons of beer on tap. There are non alcoholic options available too. Every time I have been to Tribus they have had a food truck outside and they do a great job of listing them on their social media and their website. The back room (when not booked for private parties) has a ping pong table to use. The front bar area has plenty of seating and there is a large expanded area “outdoors” which is enclosed in the winter and open air in the spring through Fall. The music playing is always upbeat and sets a really great locals vibe. During any visit you will see couples, friends, families and even colleagues meeting up for happy hour. Tribus is an inclusive environment for a great time for all.
Kristin Z — Google review
Attended a baby shower in the event room. The bar area and event room were lovely, clean (plenty of bathrooms!), and staff were pleasant & courteous! Will come back another time just for the brewery!
Janet E — Google review
Possibly the nicest brewery in the state. We finally got to stop in last night (Sunday night) and I am so glad that we did. It was a nice cool night and all of the doors were open. Great open air vibe. I am personally not a football fan but they had TV's everywhere which was cool. Looking around the brewery, you can definitely tell that care was taken and they did a good job of using every available space. The beer was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. It got crowded and they handled the line like it was nothing. I never had to wait for a beer. If I could critique anything it would be that they don't offer chips as a snack option. To be fair, they did have a charcuterie tray BUT it would have been nice to have some potato chips available.
Greg K — Google review
Awesome environment with some great staff. My wife and I had a really nice talk with Sean (Manager). Their beers were top notch and their anniversary IPA (One) was a real homerun. We tried One on the day it was released and I had to pick up a bunch to share... along with a bunch of their other brews as well.

They have a great selection. However, the customer service left a LOT to be desired. All I wanted to do was support a local business and buy some plants n stuff… I know I have more visible tattoos than your regular Karens, Susans, and Dianes, but damn. I didn’t realize my presence was that unsettling. The woman treated me like I was the ghost of her abusive late uncle or something. I won’t be going back here, and I can’t say that I recommend it to anyone else. But props on the plants; They didn’t judge me. They’re saving that until after they see how I treat them 🤪

Now they are only open on Friday and Saturday. I don't know why they bother to open at all. Stopped by earlier to get tomatoes . The lady at the counter said they had some yesterday but they ran out. I'm guessing they are not even growing their own tomatoes anymore. Very disappointed. I always looked forward to getting fresh vegetables every summer at Treats. Just a memory.

Great place for plants. They are a little more expensive than other places BUT the quality of the plants is well worth it. Their flowers are always healthy and having several greenhouses provides a nice selection. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They are always willing to help and lend advise. Beautiful flowers, healthy vegetable plants, quality dirt/mulch, and a nice farmers market on site. A place I look forward to hitting every Spring and Summer.

This rental shop offers a fantastic selection of bicycles, scooters, stand-up paddle boards, and kayaks suitable for all ages and skill levels. While a valid driver's license is necessary to rent motor scooters, everyone can enjoy the other equipment without hassle.
The group paddle on Wednesday evening was fantastic. Tina (Scoot and Paddle) took care of all the details so we only had to show up, get in a kayak, and paddle off. It was so peaceful out in the Sound and we saw lots of fish jumping. Some paddlers even went swimming! I definitely plan on going again.

Fantastic experience!! We (13 of us) took my mother kayaking for her birthday- the owner was amazing! She made sure my mother’s birthday went off without a hitch. I recently signed my daughter up for camp and she was quite apprehensive about attending (didn’t want to get out of the car). Tina sat with my daughter and took extra care to make her feel comfortable (she did not have to do any of this). My daughter now cannot wait to go to camp everyday!! Highly recommend!!

Wonderful way to spend a summer evening! Kayaking over a school of rays with a golden sunset behind us on our way to Charles Island provided a thrilling paddle with a nice adrenalin boost when the dorsal fin of the sand shark went by on or left. Nature continued to display her beauty on Charles Island with an abundance of great blue heron and snowy egrets. Dessert was served - a delicious slice of a golden full moon.

My mom was visiting, so we decided to try a new activity! The kayak rental was perfect, easy, safe, and fun. I recommend this as one of Connecticut’s best kept secrets and best summer activities. Make sure to read some of the history of Milford, Walnut Beach, and Charles Island before you go— makes it an even greater adventure!

Fairground
Live music venue
The Milford Oyster Festival pays homage to the town's oystering heritage, which was a major source of livelihood in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The festival, established in 1975, offers various oyster-themed activities such as shucking and eating contests, cooking demonstrations, live music, and arts and crafts vendors. While some visitors found parking challenging and suggested better directions to the festival location, others enjoyed the event's offerings.
Fair prices, great food but superrr packed. Loved the band set up.
Mya C — Google review
Our first time this year and it was packed with fun. So many things to do. Food was ok, drinks were nice and cold. The sound for Little Feat amazing!
Channyra T — Google review
Bands were good. No big headliner. They cut the hours and the craft vendors and charged to get in. Still a great festival however no where near on what they used to do.
Pam S — Google review
Hubby and I went here for the first time this year. The experience was good. Finding parking was atrocious especially if your handicapped like my husband. The directions for parking and the actual location to the festival, once you've parked 1/2 mile away, could have been a lot better. If you're using your GPS to get there, once you get close, forget it because the cops have the majority of the streets closed off for the festival. I enjoyed the bands that they had planned today and my cotton candy and candy apple. The oysters were fresh but not cleaned properly so that was a real downer for me. We both ordered the colossal kielbasa with sauerkraut... so so good and colossal, plus the bread they used was just the icing on the cake. They did offer lemon juice, hot sauce and seafood salsa to put on top of the oysters. I saw fried dough too but I was too full after my colossal kielbasa to order any. Good weather and some nice views.
Dana B — Google review
Too crowded and definitely not worth the hype. The oysters were fresh, but I could only manage one or two since I’m still warming up to the idea of eating raw seafood. The other food trucks were insanely overpriced for no reason—tiny portions with ridiculous prices, pfftttt, insaneeee! On top of that, the lines for every single food stall were painfully long. This is definitely going to be a one-time experience for me.
Jagrithi M — Google review
The experience was good and the atmosphere was equally as good. Nicely organized festival. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Orlando V — Google review
No craft area...just a band that was pretty good and food trucks and a few rides.
Kristie M — Google review
Be ready to wait in long lines for everything — paying for tickets, getting a beer, and buying oysters at the only stand that sells them (it’s supposed to be an oyster festival…). Not what we were expecting.

Went to see a dance performance; the space was nice and the performers were v good to excellent; not a great place to go to see a dance performance, though, unless you're in the front rows, as the seats aren't stepped, so I couldn't see the performers' feet and legs, even though I'm on the tall side. Enjoyed the musical aspects, seemed to be a good space for music. A good amount of parking, and the hosts/staff were friendly.

Seafood restaurant
Nestled in the heart of downtown on Daniel Street, Stonebridge Restaurant is a delightful destination for those craving New England seafood and classic American dishes. With its inviting ambiance, guests can choose from various dining experiences—whether it's the elegant main dining room featuring a cozy fireplace or the relaxed mahogany bar area. The menu boasts an array of options, from sophisticated starters like tuna tartare to beloved pub classics such as fish and chips.
My first time here and it was a great experience! The restaurant is well-managed and their menu has a nice variety of options. Excellent service but we were not offered any dessert menus. This is a common fail in so many restaurants today and also lost opportunity for revenue.
Jodi C — Google review
We made a reservation for Valentine’s Day. Waited almost over half an hour and no one came to serve us. I had to stop a random server while she was walking by to ask her who our server was. She went to check and said she had no idea but she was kind enough to step in and serve us. Ordered a sangria and it tasted like just a glass of red wine with ice in it. Had to ask them to add in something to sweeten it up to actually make it a sangria. The food was decent. I would say the presentation itself is a bit lackluster but the food was decent. The parking situation is so hectic too but I appreciated the parking attendant helping us out. We were excited to try this spot for the first time but was unfortunately disappointed and don’t think we will be back again.

We drove 2.5 hours here for our anniversary dinner and were not disappointed! From the moment we walked in the door, the host/owner greeted us and wished us a Happy Anniversary. Jamie and Jacob our bartenders poured us a champagne toast as soon as we sat down. Delicious drinks and incredible food! Will return for sure!!
Henry B — Google review
Food was really good and hugeee portions! Seafood heavy menu and everything was filling and included a lot of seafood. Restaurant is really cute as well. Service is a little slow and because the area isn’t super diverse, they can definitely tell when you’re a tourist. The guy that monitors the parking lot is very friendly but in an aggressive way. They definitely treat tourist better than locals unless you’re a regular. I would go back if I’m ever in town.

Amazing Blackened Scallop Downtown Salad. Ok, immediately and pleasantly overwhelmed with the flavor of this modified Waldorf Salad. The scallops were succulent, juicy morsels delicately spiced and sautéed, careful not to overwhelm. When paired with the walnuts, cranberries, apples and goat cheese, great flavor profile united in a subtly sweet vinaigrette. Blissful, perfect. The atmosphere here is always welcoming, today was no exception! Two huge private parties but never took away from the personalized service and never a handshake away from instant attention. The owner is also very personable and when not helping the staff he is satisfying guests with a naturally friendly disposition. I’ve heard the brunch here is legendary. Can’t wait to come and try it.
Dean R — Google review
We were 1st time in Milford and picked this restaurant because of the good reviews and the appealing menue. We left however disappointed. My husband got the Crispy Fish Sandwich and I the Aloah Bowl. We ordered the appetizer from the daily menu list, Full Belly Clams. It didn't have a description of the dish. They were fried with thick crunchy crust, one could hardly find the claws. When I peeled the batter off, the ( little) meat was very gummy and chewy. My bowl was eh. The coconut rice didn't have any particular taste, and the other ingredients neither. The argula leaves didn't look fresh and the mayo sauce tasted like a convenience product. My husband's Sandwich came with 2 slices of cod, fried with the same batter and it sat very heavy in his stomach. The green coleslaw was put on one slice of the bun, small amount. We found it was very overpriced for what we got. My fork was not clean and I asked for a new one. I got a fresh napkin with silverware in there and that fork had again something very visible on it. The person who rolls the napkins should make sure to only put clean pieces in there. The staff was friendly and relaxed.

Personally, my husband and I have been on several occasions and always enjoyed our meals and the service. We've never had problems with being seated, even without a reservation. We are proudly pastoring a church in Milford, and we have hosted a couple of events here. One in May of 24 and the other last week Dec 24. Jeff is amazing. He customized our menus for our private event to align with our decor, and the waiters were amazing. Food is absolutely amazing! Our guests rave over the Wellington Chicken! However, all of the food comes out hot in temperature, flavor filled, and presentation on par. Adele and staff at our last event were top-tier in service. Thanks to the team at Bin100!

We had a wonderful dinner at Bin100! From start to finish, everything was excellent. We started with the fried calamari appetizer, which was perfectly crispy and flavorful. For our main courses, my husband had the seared scallop dish with grilled shrimp — beautifully cooked and full of flavor — while I had the vodka rigatoni pasta with shrimp, which was creamy, rich, and absolutely delicious. Even the kids’ meal impressed us: the chicken cutlet with fries was a generous portion. The drinks were also great. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was attentive. We’ll definitely be back!

We hosted my daughter’s bridal shower in June at Bin 100 and it was absolutely incredible. Elena and her team are the best! The service was stellar and the food left our guests raving. The tent is perfect for large parties and was perfect for our bridal shower. Bin 100 is the place to host your parties and gatherings.

Went to a baby shower there today. Everything was excellent! They even had a great mocktail menu, being pregnant myself that was so appreciated! It was nice to be able to have a cool “cocktail” with the girls! They had 3 family style apps per table and all were delicious! Next course was a salad, it was fresh and had a nice light balsamic dressing. I had the shrimp and monk fish with a lobster cream sauce, it was perfectly cooked and had great flavor, even the mashed potatoes were delicious! For dessert there were either churros, cheese cake or tiramisu. Everyone had great things to say about all of them! They even made a delicious iced cappuccino! The best thing was how attentive and pleasant the servers were. They checked on everyone and offered more drinks the whole time and I was very impressed! Wonderful staff that gracefully took care of about 90 women! Thank you.

I’ve been coming here for years because the food stays consistently phenomenal. I just had the butternut squash gnocchi with broccoli rabe, pork, garlic & olive oil and it compelled me to write this review. The sweetness of the butternut gnocchi paired with the bitterness of the broccoli rabe was delightful and unexpected, yet perfect in every way. Also, the bartender Nick is great! Funny and down to earth, not to mention he makes a delicious old fashioned.

The mini golf area is located on a beautiful campus, and their are loads of additional activities. It was a really hot day, so while my family part-took in the mini golf, I hung around in the arcade area with my service dog. Thank you for an awesome day!

We went on a Friday during the summer. The website advertised over 20 attractions and only a couple needed advance reservations so we took the hour-plus drive to have some fun on our daughter’s birthday. When we arrived we were informed they were cash only and only 3 attractions were open; mini golf, driving range and arcade. We overpaid for a bucket of balls in an attempt to make the best out of the situation and spent an hour in the arcade. Several of the games were out of order. The mini golf was not worth playing. If you decide to go, I would be sure to call ahead to make sure everything is open before heading there.

Great place! Awesome time for friends and family. As a great variety of activities from bowling, to an arcade, to a driving range and mini golf. Staff is super friendly and very clean! Lazer tag was a blast for a birthday party and a huge hit! Highly recommend a family day here!!

Took the grandkids for miniature golf. They certainly enjoyed it but I have to say that the course is in serious need of maintenance. The driving range is excellent and a great place to practice your swing. There are other services available such as Lazer tag , batting cages, bowling, an arcade, ice skating, target paintball and party venues. Sometimes you even get lucky and the Walters hot dog truck is outside!
Dianne C — Google review
3.5 stars really. I've grown up in Shelton and have always loved the sports center, but it's definitely gone down in quality. The batting cages are closed now, the mini golf has certainly seen bette days, and half the games in the arcade are out of order. Can't comment on the rinks. The driving range is probably your best bet for a solid good time regardless of your skill level, but it's a bit pricy - $30 for a large bucket of balls. Clubs are provided or you can bring your own. Sad to see this place going so far downhill. Little kids will still probably be impressed regardless.

Absolutely loved exploring this place! Great views of the ocean and lots of walking space. The ladies that worked inside the building were so knowledgeable about all the different plant and animal species. They even took one of the turtles out of the tank to walk around by us. My friends and I had such a fun time. Great hidden gem outside of New Haven, CT!

A hidden gem for nature lovers and families! We absolutely loved our visit to the Coastal Center at Milford Point. It's such a peaceful and educational place, surrounded by natural beauty. The boardwalk leading to Long Island Sound offers incredible views, and we were lucky enough to spot a variety of shorebirds — even the famous Ospreys nesting nearby! The sanctuary is clean, well-maintained, and full of life. We brought our grandson along and he was thrilled to watch birds through the binoculars.. The observation tower gives a beautiful view of the salt marshes. The SUNSET at Milford Point was absolutely breathtaking — a perfect and clear sky elevated the beauty of the sun . As the sun dipped below the horizon and shades of orange reflecting off the calm waters of Long Island Sound was really magical one.. It’s one of those quiet, unforgettable moments that stayed long and forever too... It's’ clear that the staff and volunteers are deeply committed protecting wildlife and their conservation. They Deserve appreciation 💐💐💐 for the updates about the birds and the air quality monitoring initiative — such a great example of science in action.. Even though the building was closed during the week for summer camp, there was still so much to enjoy outside. The outdoor bathroom near the parking lot was clean and convenient. Highly recommend visiting — for a birder, photographer OR just want a quiet moment in nature. We'll definitely be back for another beautiful sunset and more treasure hunt ..😊😊

Cool experience! We came on a stormy day, so we weren't able to enjoy some of the tranquil outside areas, but it was even fun with it being stormy! Great activity for kids, but it's also fun for grownups, too! They have a variety of creatures to admire [you've gotta check out Frank ;)], a kids corner, telescopes that look out over the water, and a super cool staircase that's up 4 stories. It's a great view from the top. The boardwalk takes you all the way down to the beach. It was pretty cool to see the big waves crashing into the seashore. Last, but certainly not least, all of the staff are super friendly and helpful. You can tell that they enjoy working there.

Beautiful place to visit especially on a quiet day. There is an education center that rehabilitates animals as well as a path way to the beach. The best part is an observation center that allows you to see the beautiful vista. Simply breathtaking. This place is a must see to enjoy nature.

The mall features a variety of stores and restaurants including Macy's, JCPenney, and Dick's Sporting Goods as anchor stores. With two floors connected by a single hallway, it offers a clean and well-maintained environment with restrooms at each end.
Very active shopping mall in the community. It's clean and well maintained. Solid food court plenty of options and good selection of stores. If it's a hot day out swing by the mall, they've got a Cinemark too!

Relatively a smaller mall, but very clean and well maintained. It’s 2 floors mainly has one hallway to walk. Restrooms are in each end of the floor. Some of the notable big stores are Dave & buster, Target, Dick’s, Boscov. Most of the other regular mall stores like Hollister, Finish Line, Champs, AE, Box lunch are available as well. Lots of vending machines available all around for refreshment. My daughter found a cotton candy vending machine as well. The food court is very big. About 8-10 options available including Sbarro, Tokyo Japan, Taco bell and Johnny Rockets. There are activity places like massage parlor, escape rooms, and kids play zone/area available. It’s not very crowded and lots of parking available.
Nehal A — Google review
It’s one of the few CT malls, I like it, it is rarely busy like most malls except for the food court which has a good blend of food selection. For the mall shopping there are a few mall classics like Aldo, Bath&Body Works, etc, Macy’s, H&M. Also there is a Target right next door and the entire area about 5 mile radius is a ton of other things for groceries (Whole Foods) other department stores (Marshall’s) etc.

Very nice property. It has an arcade, a glass elevator, a Macy's, and a Boscov's. Though I feel as if something is missing. I personally think that that mall should have a carousel like Danbury Fair Mall has.
Dante M — Google review
Where do I even start….first there is no visible mall security walking the mall as it should…I encountered at least 3 juveniles playing kickball with a ball and not only it almost hit me but also others….then there is the strong odor of backed up sewage by the Windsor Store & when going inside such store is so strong that you gag….furthermore the electric escalator in one side of the mall is not working. Whoever is managing this mall unfortunately is doing a lousy job of it. I felt so sad for the staff in the Windsor clothing store that is working smelling the horrible strong odor of backed up sewage. You get a zero stars

Fun escape room place and we like this one allows smaller children so my son can play. We did the pirate room and succeeded with less than a minute left on the clock it was fun. Our game master KYLE was also very helpful and did a great introduction to escape rooms for my sons first time! Edit : Since our pirate room success my son wanted to return and we also did the superhero and Alcatraz rooms. These were also very fun and we escaped both! Alcatraz so far was maybe the easiest and superhero the hardest I think. The semi-private course spans 7,060 yards and offers a par 72 experience from its longest tee placements. Additionally, the club operates a golf academy and provides private lessons, with a focus on enhancing the skills of junior players. In addition to its exceptional golf facilities, Great River Golf Club serves as an idyllic venue for weddings and receptions.
It was an absolute dream having our wedding at Great River. Thanks to Karin and Abby, our day was truly magical and one we will never forget. Karin was incredible! From our very first tour of the venue to the big day itself, she went above and beyond at every turn. Her attention to detail, calm presence, and genuine care made us feel so supported every step of the way. Abby was equally amazing. She was thoughtful, personable, and somehow everywhere at once. Abby was constantly checking in with us while seamlessly managing everything behind the scenes to make sure the day went perfectly. We also want to thank Chef Matt, who was not only informative and accommodating during the planning process, but absolutely wowed our guests — we’re still getting compliments on the food! The grounds at Great River are breathtaking, but what truly sets this venue apart is the outstanding team. Their professionalism, warmth, and dedication are what we will remember most.

We recently hosted our annual benefit at Great River for the third time, and it was our best experience yet! Karin Attolino, Sales Director, was exceptional - she stayed through the entire event and ensured everything flowed perfectly, even after our attendance unexpectedly increased to over 225 guests. The staff was fantastic, the layout was flawless, and the food was delicious. We couldn’t be happier with the experience and would rate them even higher if we could!

Great River Golf Club exceeded our expectations! After our first visit in spring 2023, we knew this was the venue for us. The views were stunning, and the grounds are well kept. We fell in love with the breezeway which is where we had our cocktail hour. They were able to extend our cocktail hour space into the courtyard outside the ballroom which made it spacious for our guests to enjoy the bar and pasta bar. The high ceiling and chandelier in the ballroom took our breath away. It looks even better in person! The team did an amazing job with bringing our vision to life! The best part about Great River is their staff. Throughout the planning process, Karin and Suzie were always available to answer any questions we had. Suzie took extra time with us at our final meeting to be sure that all our questions were answered. On the day of the wedding, they were so attentive to not only us, but our family as well. We had an amazing experience. The food was so good, and our guests continue to tell us what an amazing day it was. Thank you so much Great River for an unforgettable day!

We got married here this past weekend and it could have not been a better day. Everything was so seamless. Suzie and Emily were the dream team! The entire staff at Great River was amazing, so helpful, and kind. The food was delicious. All of our guests loved the venue. The French fry bar at the end of the night was a hit! Thank you to everyone at Great River for making our special day, that much more special. It was the most perfect day.

I would highly recommend the Great River Golf Club for any special occasion! I hosted my future daughter in law’s bridal shower there March 2023! The ballroom is gorgeous! The food was delicious, and the help I received was first rate! Chelsea listened to what I expected and everything was just perfect! Can’t say enough great things about this place! Thank you to everyone at the Great River Golf Club!!!

The Corner Restaurant in Milford, Connecticut is a popular spot known for its friendly service and delicious breakfast offerings. The menu features a variety of dishes made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, including the famous Stuffed French Toast available in different flavors. In addition to classic breakfast fare, the restaurant also offers unique options such as blackened eggs, Cuban tacos, and Malaysian pulled pork. With its cozy and welcoming atmosphere, this casual American eatery has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
I had the Malaysian spiced pulled pork topped with over medium egg, crispy fried onions and shredded ginger and a crisp rice wafer bowl with a stone hearth bread and home fries. My friend had the South Indian Spiced Pulled Duck Wrapped in Bacon layered tortilla with scrambled eggs and a mild cheese.. for the table I ordered Apple, Cinnamon, Raisin and Cream Cheese Stuffed French Toast. I’m beyond full. The food was so delicious.

Michelle, Charlotte, Sophia & Cooper were absolutely fantastic‼️ The whole environment was warm & friendly. We were treated like family. The dishes were original & eclectic. You can tell how passionate they are with this establishment. Michelle built this place from the ground up and this restaurant is Blessed. We will definitely be back. I look forward to trying more of their "house favorites" With Love - Benny & Theodora❤️

I found a great little spot in the downtown Milford, CT area. I was able to find street parking right in front of the restaurant. Although they were fairly busy, I was seated right away. The breakfast menu features some creative items, and the interior has a classic decor. There is also outdoor seating available. The drip coffee they serve had excellent flavor, but they do not offer espresso drinks. Overall, the food was delicious, and I would definitely come back when I'm in town.

The Corner is hands down one of the best breakfast/brunch spots in CT! 5 stars all around. Expect a wait for this cozy comfy honestly home style spot! Personal favorites are the peaches and cream stuffed French toast, and the Malaysian pork dish 🤤

What a fantastic breakfast! We’re here in New Haven on a college tour and on a whim decided to pop into The Corner Restaurant. The decor is rather eclectic and is filled with antique knickknacks. Service was fast and super efficient and kind. Great menu knowledge by the staff. I had the duck and my son had the empanada. Both are extraordinarily delicious. I can say without hesitation that this is the most you eat breakfast menu I’ve had in forever. I would strongly urge you to come and taste the magic!

Picked up Sunday breakfast and headed to the beach. We got takeout and the food was so good. I’ve never been here before and can’t imagine how good the food is if we were to dine in because the takeout food was so good. The portions are large and they don’t cut you short on anything. I made my own omelette and it was full of bacon. Each bite had several pieces of bacon in it. The pulled pork sandwich is also another must try. You won’t be disappointed, trying this place out for breakfast by any means and most likely will have leftovers which is always a plus

Seafood restaurant
If you're on the hunt for a quintessential New England seafood experience, look no further than Lobster Hut. This charming food truck specializes in Connecticut-style lobster rolls that are rich and buttery, alongside crispy fried clams and hearty chowder made from the freshest ingredients. Nestled near Silver Sands State Park, it’s an ideal stop after a day of beach fun or a stroll through nature.
After traveling back and forth between Jersey and Connecticut, I figured it was time to finally try a lobster roll in CT. The Lobster Hut has an unassuming presence and you just might drive right by it (even with GPS) like I did. There are some tables outside of the food truck so you can eat there or take it to go. I was surprised that a food truck had pagers to let you know when your order is ready. Of course I got the lobster roll platter with fries. The lobster roll was stuffed with fresh lobster and I appreciated the fact that they did not use a potato roll for the sandwich. Plenty of melted butter on the side and the two together made for one unforgettable lobster roll. And the fries were most excellent! Hot and crispy, and not the least bit greasy. The one item that I found disappointing was the lobster bisque. It’s probably more me than the Lobster Hut. It had plenty of lobster in it, but it just wasn’t as creamy as the lobster bisque I’m used to from my favorite seafood restaurant. To be fair, I’ve yet to find a lobster bisque that comes close. Lobster Hut’s was decent, but did not have that pop of flavor that I’ve come to expect. I will definitely come back here when I’m in the area. Lobster was so fresh and tasty.

In town for work and looking for lobster roll close by. Found this hidden gem and was super excited to try it out. Straight forward menu and choice was easy... 1/2 LB lobster roll platter. Roll was amazing and loaded with lobster... fries were hot and crisp. Highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious! Loved the lobster rolls and lobster bisque. Tons of lobster in the bisque :). Only improvement would be the waiting time. 25+ min with no other customers when we went

My wife and I had the 5oz lobster rolls. Came with fries and coleslaw and a side of hot butter. Excellent lobster rolls. Excellent hot fries. Cold slaw was also very good. Extremely pleased with the service. Lexi was very pleasant and packaged everything perfectly. Plenty of napkins, catchup and wipes.
Ronald F — Google review
This place used to be the go-to place, but the portions just keep getting smaller and smaller every year. This last time the portion was half the size twice the price and overcooked. You can go to an actual fancy restaurant and get a lobster roll 10 times is good for half the price now.
Viper F — Google review
Lobster Hut is in a nice location, but that's definitely the highlight. With crazy expensive prices for average portions, there are many other places cheaper, and for better quality lobster. That bring said, the food itself was not bad by any means, just expensive. So unless you're looking for a quick lobster snack, I'd go somewhere else.
Jaycee N — Google review
Amazing lobster rolls, period!! Walk up to the hut (literally) and order a double lobster meal, take it to silver sands Park find a great seating and enjoy. The lobster rolls are generously stuffed with tasty well seasoned lobster meat. If you are a lobster lover you have to try this Connecticut take. Yum!!
Mohamed N — Google review
My experience with lobster food trucks hasn’t been great, but in CT, you do what the locals do so I tried it. The lobster rolls were good but not fantastic. I would say to save some bucks and do without the fries. Just purchase the rolls on its own. Not a seafood person? No problem. They sold hotdogs too - 2 hotdogs with fries. Each platter came with melted butter and cole slaw. I would most definitely drench the lobster roll in butter. The bread tasted a little sweet, which wasn’t bad so the combination of lobster with butter and what I’m assuming is Hawaiian bread is great.

Pretty hiking spot with a dog park. Beautiful little pond with great reflections on a calm day. Surprising location not far from the Merritt Pkwy and more densely populated areas. Note that signs indicate that the park is limited to Stratford residents only, although this is probably not much enforced in the off season.

This is an excellent park for anyone who lives in the area, especially if you are a boy scout troop. The Boy Scout area is well-developed with three large lean-tos (one is disabled accessible), 3 large fire rings, and built-in benches for all of them. It is an a large campground with lots of open space and can be reached by vehicle. The rest of the camp has some nice improvements like a pavilion and a large parking lot. There's even a pond with a small island and benches that look over it. Best part is that the town does not charge for its use if you are local.

We had birthday party at Dave & Buster’s, and it was absolutely fantastic! The staff was so friendly and attentive, making sure the kids (and adults!) were having a great time. The manager personally checked in to be sure everything ran smoothly, which really made the day special. The hostess was fantastic! The games, food, and atmosphere were perfect for a celebration, and everyone left with big smiles. Couldn’t have asked for a better birthday experience—highly recommend for parties and family fun!

My visit to Dave and Buster's was an incredibly enjoyable experience. We were there to celebrate a birthday, and it turned out to be an awesome outing. This was my first time here, and I was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was just right - not overly crowded but far from dull. It struck a perfect balance, creating a welcoming ambiance. The venue offered a wide range of activities to keep everyone entertained. We started with drinks, followed by a delicious dinner. Afterward, we indulged in various games and entertainment options. It truly offers a diverse array of experiences. Our timing was a bit later in the evening, which might explain the quieter atmosphere, but I found it to be quite pleasant. Dave and Buster's caters to different preferences - whether you're into watching the game on TV, enjoying a drink at the bar, savoring a meal in the dining area, or diving into a world of gaming fun, there's something for everyone. One noteworthy aspect was the exceptional service we received from the staff. Our server went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She was attentive to our needs, whether it was providing an extra napkin or additional cutlery. Her friendly demeanor added to the positive experience. I can confidently say that I'll be returning to Dave and Buster's in the future. The variety of entertainment options, the welcoming atmosphere, and the outstanding service make it a place that caters to a wide range of tastes and preferences.

We celebrated my daughter’s birthday at Dave & Buster’s and had such a wonderful experience! From start to finish, everything was smooth and enjoyable. The staff really made the day special. Rachel, the sales manager was very communicative, Cassy was absolutely amazing, helping me with every detail, and Mark gave me a very calm and reassuring explanation of everything when I was feeling frazzled from running late and needing to decorate the tables while guests had already arrived. They truly took care of everything, which allowed me to relax and enjoy the party. I also want to highlight the sales manager, Rachel, who was very communicative throughout the planning process. She made sure I was comfortable with every detail, offered helpful suggestions, and was flexible with my requests which really put me at ease. The food was perfect, everyone had a great time, and overall it was absolutely worth the money and time. The only thing I didn’t love was the blue raspberry lemonade, I’d probably pick a different drink next time, but that’s just a small detail in an otherwise fantastic experience. Highly recommend for birthdays and celebrations. We’ll definitely be back!

My family and I had a ball today at Dave and Busters. We arrived around 115pm and there were no servers which was a bit strange - but the bartenders set up a table for us and took care of us. Food was very good and kids had an absolute blast. If there is one area for improvement it is the bathrooms - they were pretty gross, but the rest of our experience was Fantastic. We will definitely be back!

We had such a great experience thanks to our waitress Renee! She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Excellent service—we’ll definitely be back.

Update : the statement far below still stands for the workers who we encountered Friday 3/21/25. However after an encounter with the general manager Clive I recognize that my business is not appreciated nor welcome. As mentioned previously we were there to celebrate my daughter’s 13th birthday just her and I so I ended up earning a free appetizer coupon and which we chose to dine in after a bit of shopping. I ordered the barbacoa fries, As well as the spicy Korean wings. Upon a first appearance everything looks great but after closer review The fries were drowning in queso and the fries were not given cooked well enough to stand alone on their own one of the managers did make a remark regarding the wings and our server asked about the fries. I asked for the wings extra crispy. The wings were blubbery as if fried directly from a frozen taste. Unfortunately it can be very awkward especially when you’re out to celebrate to bring a complaint so it was my goal to not highlight the negative and try to make the best of the experience. I did ultimately call Dave & Buster’s customer support and they informed me because I paid and tipped in cash that the location would be able to provide the refund. So in the morning I called about 10 AM on Saturday 3/22/25. I spoke with a manager on duty who informed me that they were entertaining a party of 100 and Manager Clive would contact me within two hours so being that it was my daughter’s birthday weekend and we did have plans to frequent the movies and do a little more shopping with her birthday gift cards. I ultimately switched my plans to cater around awaiting the phone call I ended up getting a gut feeling that I would likely not get a response as I did call back and it was sent to the general managers voicemail by this time about 3 1/2 hours manager’s passed and I ultimately decided to go to physically to the location. I request to speak to the general manager Clive and he comes right out and it was as if he already knew what I was therefore and immediately began to be very expressive with his face instantly sighing. I began to recap the situation and told him I was willing to provide photos let him know why It was communicated and a manager who I did not get the name of did make remarks as if we didn’t enjoy the food but they didn’t inquire further and I didn’t want to make a scene of any sort. So he tells me that because it was cash he would’ve had to refund me the day prior as you’ve already submitted his books and proceeds to tell me that they told me wrong and they shouldn’t have advised me that or they should’ve refunded me on the day of. So mind you at this time through Location is slam packed to there are people everywhere they are certainly more inundated than they were most likely in that 10 AM slot when I called which means he could’ve taken the time to at least call me and at least address the matter that way as was promised to me by the manager under him. However he used to say as to why he cannot honor that even though that’s what I’ve been told by customer support as well as the manager that spoke to me on the phone. he then suddenly heads to the cash register without making a word and ask for the receipt and to bring back my $15.65 he comes back and he says now I have to explain to corporate why the draw is short $15 There was no empathy and there was no concern there was no real inquiry about the issue in itself he should’ve been to investigate the matter with the food or to express some sort of sincere apology for the experience he was more concerned about corporate matters versus the customer experience. It’s disappointing as this location is so close in proximity and we really did enjoy ourselves. I just can’t bring myself to patronize and spend my hard earned money at a this establishment going forward. This statement about the following workers still stands from my original review which has since been updated :Marcus Viv and Ryley and update Siobhan these superstars made our experience that much more fun.

Saint Mary R C Church, part of the Precious Blood Parish, is a stunning red brick church with a rich history. Built in 1955, it boasts hand-painted ceilings, meticulously crafted oak pews, and ten large oak doors adorned with beautiful stained glass windows depicting biblical scenes. The church offers baptisms on Sunday afternoons by appointment and accommodates marriage ceremonies with prior arrangement. It is renowned for its exquisite architecture, stained glass windows, and welcoming community.
My family has been going to this Parish for more than 20 years. These priests are doing their best to serve the people of God. The parish keeps an excellent account of the money we donate and has always been transparent. I am praying for the priests and all the parishioners in this parish.

I was a member of the Junior Legion of Mary here from the time I was 11 until 18 and still go back to visit when I can. This church never made me feel out of place for very obviously not being Catholic or religious: it just felt like home. I recommend it but HIGHLY recommend the Junior Legion of Mary directed by Sharon DiNapoli (it any of the children’s programs she runs). She’s an incredibly loving and caring person, and never made me feel out of place in a space where it would have been very easy for me to.

This was my go-to spot for me and my friends to go and hangout. Unfortunately the last 7 times we have came here the lanes have been in HORRIBLE condition. MPH counters don't work on multiple lanes, flickering lights above pins, and the worst part is there is straight up ZERO oil on the lanes. If you are bowling with anything other than a house ball your ball is curving straight into the gutter with minimal or no hook put on it. You oil the lanes for leagues every time but your regular customers can't even practice on your lanes anymore? Two gentlemen from the league came over to our lanes and said "this is impossible to bowl on" After taking 2 shots and they both guttered. I've personally seen people walk out recently because of the poor lane conditions. I love the staff here, and I want to come back but I'm seriously wasting my money at this point. Please put a little more care into the lanes that ARENT league. Really hoping for things to turn around. 🙏 Edit : Good luck getting a lane. There bowling league changed and they schedule it everynight during the unlimited bowling deal. And they FULLY book the entire building for league players. I've tried going every day of the week it's available. Don't even bother. going.

Came here with our 5 kids in the rain with a Groupon and it was not honored due to missing the fine print. Bella would not offer any discount and charged full price so we had to pack up and leave.

I am a horrendous bowler, allow me to preface with this. I went with 2 other friends from out of state. The alley was configured in such a way that there was a field trip or some sort of kids event on one side and we were on the other side with a few other adults on other lanes. The bowling alley is configured like a right angle, so the two sides were completely separate which I thought was really nice. There's also a very small arcade with a handful of machines which we played. They also offer concession stand with a variety of food items but unfortunately we did not try them on this visit. Next time I have friends in from out of town I will come back.

This beach is a really nice size and we really enjoyed it together. The only downside I'd say is that the machine to pay for the parking wasn't working, so I had to worry whether or not I'd get a ticket, etc. Other than that, my family and I will be going back this year! My favorite beach. Just so quiet and small with not so many people around which is perfect. There’s a beautiful walking path that goes far down both ways, one side goes down a side street then continues so make sure you check that out! There’s no dogs allowed in beach but the path yes , and plenty of garbage cans on the way. Parking for Milford residents only and a good sized grass area and park with a basketball court. The houses there are beautiful of course so that’s also pretty to look at. There is a volleyball net on the beach. Fishing does take place here but on the ends. Not sure if it’s allowed but it’s always fun to look at and everyone is always respectful. All smiles at this family friendly beach! Definitely visit!

A small community beach along with a promenade along the waterfront section of the neighborhood. The beach is swim at own risk, having uneven bottom and some underwater stones (literally) a bit further out, so tread carefully. That said, with some care the beach allows to enjoy beautiful scenery, complete with a fishing pier (wave barrier) and plenty of space for socially distanced time on the ocean shore. Beautiful beach with great views. If you like to be among so many people this is a great option however swimming is not so great very large stones in the water that hurts your feet especially when you hit occidentally. Very clean for a crowded beach. There is a green area parking lot and play ground as well.
JESSICA F — Google review
I went during one of these entertainment days where there were live bands, food and raffles. It was perfect for families and friends to gather and enjoy the entertainment, food and the view. There was plenty of street parking nearbye to park and enjoy a nice walk on the sand. I recommend this place as a go-to spot that closes at sundown if you want to enjoy a simple but fun day with family and friends.

Very calm area, nice walking pavement and beautiful sand beach. You can get your beach chairs and just relax.

Beach
Silver Sands Beach is a picturesque and expansive sandy shoreline located on the Long Island Sound, bordered by private residences, town beaches, and a park. Situated in Milford, it's conveniently accessible within a 20-30 minute drive from New Haven. This free beach offers ample parking and is well-maintained by the State of Connecticut. While the beach may have some rocky areas, it remains an attractive destination for leisurely walks along its boardwalk.
Great place for kids and family in the summer has 3 pools . One pool is for adults only with great tiki bar ...
Jaime R — Google review
It looked clean but we kept finding resident only parking I looked for public parking couldn’t find any if someone does find please add it in the reviews so others may enjoy ended up going down 20 minutes to west haven found public parking paid and enjoyed our day.
Magaly — Google review
The accessible board walk was beautiful and we saw several people with wheelchairs enjoy viewing the ocean and protected bird nests. We saw 3 jellyfish in the water. If you want to walk to the island, be sure to time your visit with low tide.

Beautiful beach! A bit rocky and not fine sand but still nice.

You think Connecticut could buy some sand and put it on the beach with my crazy taxes I pay

Love this beautiful beach great place to clear your thoughts with a nice walk on the boardwalk

Terrible parking areas. Sideway parking doesn't cut it! There should be more public parking areas!

It was clean and people were friendly. It was a great place to see some art collections. We went to an Earth day event and the kids had fun.

Fun " every ability" park - for younger ones and older kids. Super fun! My kiddos loved their visit here today❤️❤️

Wonderful playground. Having bathrooms available is an added bonus. Our kids enjoyed themselves. We will add it to our regular stops.
Bunmi A — Google review
Good place for kids the splash pad was down but a lot of shade for sitting parents. Some tennis and pickle ball courts
Vito P — Google review
Wonderful play area that is nicely shaded and has a couple of picnic tables. Right next to the slash area. There's non resident parking across the street, which is nice. There is a really cool kid/parent combined swing that is great bonding opportunity. However, the parent has to be a giant to touch the ground to push themselves. The way I managed to use it was to start swinging it and then jump on.

One of the best playgrounds in the area. Different areas for different ages and milestones

Wow! Beautiful gem of a store. Visit. You'll be so glad you did. My mom, sister, and I just 'discovered' this gallery today. We all walked out with multiple items and were tempted by so much more. Great selection of art. The owner and exhibiting artist greeted us warmly and treated us as if we were long time patrons. Loved it and will definitely be back next time we visit from Michigan,!
Gail S — Google review
Gorgeous store with so many beautiful, unique items. Decor, chimes, ornaments, jewelry. All works of art! Excellent for gifts or to treat yourself. Much of the artwork and pieces are locally hand made. Definitely check them out.
Justine F — Google review
I went in with my grandson and some friends, the gentleman out front was fine with my grandson looking at stuff but a woman came out from the back and began watching us like a hawk. She followed us outside because those were the items my grandson actually touch & she made a comment under her breath about him breaking them. My friend said if he breaks it we can pay for it and I told her he's not gonna break anything but if he did, I definitely have more than enough to pay for anything in or outside of her store. She retreated back inside of the store, punk!! What a jerk!! If I could give 0 stars this business would have gotten it!!

Great place to run and play in the lakes area. This place can be a bit rough for the kiddos…so beware!! I would have kids wear long pants and shirts to prevent their skin from getting plastic “burns” from the slides. There are sticker weeds/thistles around some of the equipment. I saw some kids crying b/c they got stickers in their socks. Socks are required…be sure to bring those with you. We brought refillable water bottles to fill up in the bathrooms. Your kids will definitely be thirsty!! Playing here is quite a workout!! Also…come enjoy the bouncy play area on cool mornings only.
