Located in Richmond, California, Rosie the Riveter National Historical Park is a tribute to the men and women who contributed to the WWII home front. The visitor center showcases exhibits that highlight the significant role played by workers during the war. Housed in what was once an old Ford Auto factory, this historical park features memorials and displays honoring real-life 'Rosie the Riveters' and others involved in the war effort.
The visitor center is located at the end of the pier inside the Ford plant compound. Plenty of free parking and free to visit the center. There's a theater with films on the subject of women in manufacturing during WWII and the sequestoring of U.S. citizens of Japanese descent in concentration camps during the war. Upstairs, there are a couple of exhibit spaces and a gift shop. The visitor center also participates in the Junior Ranger program. The history of the mobilization of women and minorities during the war period is fascinating. No doubt the incredible output of ships from the shipyards at Richmond helped to win the war. It also demonstrated how rapidly a skilled workforce could be developed and how women and minorities, which were previously excluded from the economy, could positively impact the needed increase in manufacturing output. It's a shame so many not only immediately lost their jobs the moment the war ended, but were once again marginalized. It's interesting to imagine what the economy could have experienced, and how the intellectual capacity and skilled labor force could have pushed the American economy and society forward if the post-war period had been so regressionary. Worth a visit. An important history of the war period and beyond.

Drive through the north guard gate around the large Ford Assembly Plant building to park nearer their building on the southeast side. Informative collections and nice installations, though some repairs needed, still worth visiting! We happen to visit when a real Rosie gave a talk, so great.
Vini F — Google review
Rosie the Riveter WWII Home Front National Historical Park in Richmond is one of the most meaningful and powerful places I have ever visited. It is not just a park but a living story of what the Bay Area contributed during World War II and how ordinary people rose up to do extraordinary things. Standing here, you can feel the weight of history while also being inspired by the strength and resilience of the women and men who built ships, worked in factories, and supported the war effort on the home front. The visitor center is incredible, with exhibits that bring the era to life. There are photos, artifacts, and powerful stories that tell you what it was like to live and work in Richmond during the 1940s. You learn about the shipyards, the housing boom, the struggles of rationing, and most importantly, the women — the “Rosies” — who stepped into roles traditionally held by men and forever changed the workforce. Listening to oral histories and watching short films, you can almost hear their voices echoing through time. Walking around the park grounds adds even more to the experience. You can see the historic shipyard buildings, the cranes, and the shoreline where so much work took place. The views of the Bay and San Francisco in the distance remind you of how vital this area was, and still is. There are memorials and signs that help you understand what once stood there and the impact it had on the war effort. It is both humbling and inspiring to stand in the same place where history was made. What I love most about Rosie the Riveter Park is that it is not just about history in books, it is about people. It tells the story of women breaking barriers, families adjusting to wartime life, and communities working together under incredible pressure. It is about sacrifice, resilience, and determination, and those lessons still feel important today. Visiting this park is an experience that stays with you. It makes you proud of what everyday people accomplished and grateful for the freedoms that were secured through their hard work. It is one of the most significant historical sites in the Bay Area and a place I recommend to anyone who wants to truly understand the spirit of the home front during World War II.

A wonderful visit about the history of women getting into the manufacturing workforce during WW2. Also covering the history of Richmond.

Small museum. Enjoyed the movie and the staff were willing and available to share history. The entrance is a bit unusual as it seems that you are pulling into an assembly plant parking lot, but it you continue you will get to the museum. The entrance is water side so away from the parking lot. It is wheelchair ♿️ accessible. There is an elevator and it can take you to the basement bathroom and had an accessible stall. The theater was also accessible.
Suzanne C — Google review
What a fantastic museum located right on the waterfront of the San Francisco Bay! We parked near the Ferry parking lot and enjoyed a leisurely walk along the bay, taking in the stunning views of the water and the surrounding industrial buildings. The museum itself is situated in the historic location of the Kaiser shipyards, which adds to its charm. There's even a delightful restaurant right next door. Admission was free, and the park rangers and volunteers on staff were incredibly helpful and informative. My daughter participated in the Junior Ranger program, and we explored the entire museum together. She was truly impressed by the wealth of information provided. The 20-minute film in the basement theater was particularly moving and brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful for all the “Rosies” and their remarkable journeys.

This is a neat little museum dedicated to women joining the work force in WWII and shipbuilding in Richmond. They have a short film that interviews women whom worked there during the war, it is good look into the life and informative. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

Point Pinole Regional Shoreline is a vast park spanning over 2,400 acres, offering a picturesque landscape of meadows, eucalyptus woods, bluffs, and beaches. It's a hidden gem behind the city with ample space for walking, jogging, biking, and even horseback riding. The park features scenic trails and paths that lead to stunning views of San Pablo Bay.
Great place to jog. The pier is about 1.5 miles from the parking area. If you want to go fishing, make sure you bring a wagon.

Such a gorgeous place! Endless walking trails through eucalyptus groves. Spectacular views! Bathrooms are clean and there are a ton of benches and picnic tables. All around a beautiful place!
Erica I — Google review
This is a really nice park to visit all year round. It’s well maintained and not crowded on weekdays. Weekends are a little more crowded so we only go there on weekdays. There are plenty of trails to explore. We enjoy walking on the dirt trails along the bay or through the trees. The fishing pier is very popular. We’ve never gone fishing there, but have seen people catching fish there. Great views of both Mount Tam and Mt. Diablo. There are also picnic areas with barbecue pits. Highly recommend for hiking or just a casual walk in the park. There are 2 parking areas in the park with plenty of spaces.
Arlene H — Google review
Lovely walking trails along the Richmond waterfront. Trails are pretty flat, sunny, and cool in temperature. There are some gravel paths that aren't ideal for running, but plenty of paved sections and dirt trails that are great for trail running. It gets pretty gusty - I recommend bringing a light jacket.
Banke A — Google review
This is a beautiful place. You can wander lots of trails with your furry friends as long as on a leash (the furry friend). The location is beautiful and the weather perfect. Bring water, a mask and you are good to go.
Christy S — Google review
I went here the other day, and it was pretty nice. Very scenic, nice views of the water, a lot of eucalyptus trees that provide shade, and a trail that goes along the water that is really beautiful. The area that connects the parking lot to the main part of the park had a lot of dog poo… I also saw a couple with dogs go into an area of the park where there was a clear sign that said no entry… seems like some people that go here are kind of trashy… I would definitely come back here though.

I have a poor sense of direction so GPS has to guide me to the same places over and over and over again. I have to be careful to make sure I input accurate addresses…sometimes I end up somewhere I didn’t intend to be. Usually it’s because of a mistake on my part.

Point Pinole is beautiful, with a variety of landscapes and wildlife, more than the other parks in the Richmond/Pinole area. There are paved and unpaved roads for biking, hiking and even horse riding. There are beaches and good fishing areas, if that's what you are into. Camping and barbecuing spots are also available. I have spent a lot of time at this park and haven't even finished exploring it.

Ships
The Red Oak Victory is a venerable World War II ship located at 1337 Canal Boulevard Berth 5, Richmond, CA. It offers self-guided and docent-led tours for visitors interested in nautical history. The ship is well-preserved and provides a wonderful experience for history buffs. Visitors can explore the immaculate museum exhibits downstairs and learn about the ship's storied past during their visit.
This ship was used as a cargo ship during WWII, Vietnam and Korean Wars. It was built in Richmond, CA and is now located at the same shipyard where it was built. There are guided (takes you to the engine room) and self-guided tours; both are educational. The ship is managed by the Richmond Museum of History and the loving caretakers are volunteers. There is a small gift shop and theatre. Their existence is based on donations, pancake breakfasts, movie/hall rentals, and gift shop. The ship is not suited to persons with limited mobility. You have to walk up this steep, shaky steel ladder to get on board. Once on board, you have to walk up narrow stairs to go up and down floors. The engine room's ladder to go down was very steep. You couldn't see the rung of the next step. If you have a phobia, this is not for you. Just avoid the engine room. Aside from that, the ship was interesting and if you are a WWII history buff, this ship is worth seeing.
Pamela L — Google review
This floating. Museum, a historic naval ship is one of the last remaining ships built during WWII offering a connection to Rosie’s and the Sailors who served on this wartime ship. My husband, being a Navy Chief, explored every inch of this ship. For me, being able to experience a glimpse of what it was to have served on this ship during war was incredible. The hammocks in the dual purpose mess hall or valley, the 3 and 4 beds in a room the size of a closet made me realize how difficult it must be to adapt to small spaces, no room for personal items and no privacy. I was happy to see movie night, and tiny ice cream counters, a small store, a Barber Shop, Dentist Ann of course Medical. They were served a traditibal Thanksgiving meal but that display was bittersweet understanding that they were not with families. The many decks require many stairs. This ship also brought to life the war between US and Japan. From Pearl Harbor to Okinawa to being decommissioned in 1946. Allow yourself plenty of time to visit every deck. TIPS: 1) Bring water, especially during hot months 2) Wear sneakers as ladders could be challenging for some 3) Duration could be 1-2 hrs depending on your interest level. We spent 90 minutes. 4) Weekday, during school periods worked for us as far as crowds go.
B — Google review
Finally made it to the pancake breakfast and it just happened to be during fleet week. Just be prepared for the wind. All the docent-led tours were sold out. we still enjoyed our self guided tour exploring the ship. We will definitely be back to take a guided tour. Which is still going on even though the pancake breakfasts are done for the year
Kiera G — Google review
I love their movie nights! They are also open on Sundays for tours from 10am - 4pm
Yolanda V — Google review
This is a super cool experience. Worth the trip. Super nice staff (volunteers) Check out their calendar for their pancake events!
Nes A — Google review
Nice piece off WWll history they are in the process of restoring so don’t expect perfection but they do live music and breakfast/brunch on the first Sunday of every month to raise more for the restoration. If you have kids or family who are interested in history great half day trip with very nice people helping out.

We visited on Saturday and hence couldn't go inside.. They are open on the Sundays for a tour You can spend 10-30 mins if you are not going inside

Love this hike with my dog! Expect some incline but just enough to get a good view of the bay. You can also see a lot of wildlife if you go at the right times.
Rick J — Google review
Great place to hike. Took our dog and backpack full of water and snacks. Make sure you keep out for ticks ! Once we got back to the car I had 2 on me. Nothing on our dog thank god. But the sights are beautiful. There’s parts of the trails where you can take your dog off the leash and let them play around which is nice.
Vera O — Google review
I use to drive to Mission Peak every weekend based on the intensity and thrill of that hike. All until I discovered Wildcat with an equal intensity plus thrill fulfilled here. I enjoy how you can customize your outdoor gym on this trail. There are many entrances and routes to take. Whether hiking, cycling, walking, running…it’s a trail for all ages. Plenty of rest stops, gorgeous views, inclines if you’re looking for them. You’ll encounter wildlife of cows, horses, hares, deer, birds, snakes, coyotes and goats too. It’s a new adventure every time.

This scenic park boasts clean surroundings and ample space for visitors to enjoy various activities, from biking along the picturesque trails to fishing off the pier without needing a fishing license. Families can gather for picnics on the grass or at picnic tables, while kids can fly kites or feed the birds in this friendly environment.
A nice place to go for an hour walk to the pier and back. Some people meet here for collective swims. You see train reels and there is another park next to it so a lot of birds, you also see squirrels.

Really nice beach. Cold and windy all the time. Has long walking trails and really big park by the beach.
Naveed A — Google review
I love coming to this small beach during the week. It's small but it's right next to the park and it's in point Richmond, which it's a great little area. Also don't forget to swing by starbread senorita bread when you come to Richmond! There's also hiking across the street and you can see the Richmond Bridge.

Absolute quiet and gorgeous little honeycomb hideaway area where it's a friendly and family orientated environment. Excellent walking and biking trail along the beachside. Parking is great, accessible, and affordable. I definitely suggest as I will be returning. Best part for fishers>>>you DON'T need a FL to fish off the pier!!

Nice scenic park. Clean and safe. Lots of space and people out having a good time. I've never had a bad experience at this park. Been going here for years! There's plenty to do. Ride your bikes, feed the birds, fishing, swimming at the beach. BBQ, have a picnic at the table or on the grass. Fly a kite 🪁 etc. nice view of the bridges and boats on the water.
Kim J — Google review
Nice little beach to enjoy for the day! Bathrooms and a shower to rinse off available!
Erica F — Google review
Great local spot. I was here a few days ago on a day off from work. It’s a relatively small beach that’s grown in popularity over the years. To the north is Point Richmond where there’s nice restaurants, small shops, and coffee spots. To the southwest of the beach is a hiking trail that is within walking distance. It would be nice if it was an area we could actually swim in, but the water is filled with a lot of seaweed. However, you do get access to some great views of the bay. On a clear day you can see the top of the Golden Gate Bridge. There are no lifeguards here so please be mindful. Other than that, check it out if you’re in town.

Point Isabel Regional Shoreline in Richmond is a large park with 23 acres of fields, shorelines, and bay views. It's a perfect place for picnicking, birdwatching, and bay fishing while allowing off-leash dogs to roam freely. The nearby Mudpuppys Tub & Scrub offers grooming services for sandy pups and a sit & stay cafe. Mosswood Dog Park is another popular destination for off-leash play.
Absolutely stunning view of San fransisco across the water. Great to bring your kids and dogs to play. There's benches and a place to eat as well. It's charming! A must try if you're in the area! Great parking area!

I loved this place! You can walk forever and feel very relaxed. I've never seen so many dogs together, all without leashes, but none of them bother you! If you have a problem with dogs off-leash, don't go—there are many, but they’re all peaceful, as I said. The walk is very long if you go all the way along the shoreline that for me was amazing

📍 Point Isabel Regional Shoreline in Richmond, California is a 50-acre park renowned as a premier off-leash dog park. It features over three miles of scenic trails, offering stunning views of the San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. The park is also popular for windsurfing, kayaking, fishing, and birdwatching, providing a variety of recreational opportunities for both people and their canine companions. ★★★★★

Point Isabel Regional Shoreline is such a great place to explore! There are plenty of trails throughout the park, all with beautiful views of the Bay and the city skyline. It’s primarily a dog park, so you’ll see lots of pups running around — most off-leash and very friendly. If you enjoy being around dogs like I do, you’ll absolutely love it here. The area feels spacious, relaxing, and perfect for a peaceful walk, especially around sunset. Overall, it’s a wonderful spot to unwind and enjoy the Bay atmosphere.
SK H — Google review
A gem of a place for dogs and dog humans alike. Large and sprawling place for dogs to roam and run free and socialize. Amazing views of the SF skyline and Marine, and fresh coastal air. Semi-fenced but definitely away from road traffic making it a safe spot for dogs to be off-leash.
Maria G — Google review
Beautiful and wild place for walk and dog appreciation!
Grace L — Google review
Our favorite off-leash dog walk. It's so spacious that no one is on each other's face, beautiful views, a couple water stations and bathrooms at the 2 different parking lots. Also LOVE the folks at Mudpuppy's - we don't really need baths, but just putting my pups name on the waitlist (if there even is one) for a quick nail trim. She is the LEAST nervous when here because she's so well taken care of. Also, I see dogs running into Mudpuppy's even when they don't have a bath scheduled because they like it so much?? That's gotta say something ❤️ Tip: bring a jacket/beanie cause the Point can get REAL windy and I always forget that it can get much colder there than Oakland!
Diana S — Google review
Can you find a better dog park than this in the East Bay? Absolutely NOT! Point Isabel is an absolute gem. Friendly people and friendly dogs, a HUGE area to explore with sweeping views of the Bay. If your dog is into gophers, this is absolutely the place to go! :-) I'm grateful to all the staff and volunteers who keep it so well maintained. Ample garbage cans, ample poop bags. Plus, a cafe for people and a dog washing place! If you haven't been yet, GO!

Really enjoyed hosting our event with Rigger's Loft! A great venue that is brings the historic views of Richmond. Great service, great views and also, Chef Frank is a great addition that had amazing cuisine. Thank you, Kevin, Barbara, & Chef Frank!
Executive A — Google review
It is a glorious location for quiet conversation and wine tasting with a fantastic view, however… Rigger’s Loft is missing the mark. It’s like being in a beautiful theatre and watching a horrible play. The wines are not that impressive. The staff is hit-and-miss, unfortunately, and sometimes can feel unwelcoming. This is a beautiful spot in a unique and scenic location with an incredible view, and live music that tends to be wonderful. At $15 a glass, however, I expect more, and I am a somewhat of a regular here. Sorry folks. Missed opportunity, but improvements can easily be made.
Minea H — Google review
Beautiful spot with a great views, live music (small cover charge), wine, and some easy food. They have an indoor and outdoor area and plenty of parking. It’s rare to find such places within an easy drive/ferry from San Francisco so this was quite fun! The food is not overpriced, and plenty of pub style options. We only tried the fries and the server was kind enough to get us extra Tabasco. Not the biggest fan of their wines. The Pinot(s) were good but I didn’t like their syrah, nor the zin. My rating mostly represents the vibe, views, and staff. The band was great too.
Shailvi W — Google review
We came on a a Saturday afternoon. $5 cover charge. Great jazz band. Dog friendly.
Ushma U — Google review
Located at the end of Canal Blvd, this winery uses an historic building from the WWII Kaiser Shipyard. Offering great vista views of SF and the Marin Headlands past Brooks Island. Everyone there was very friendly and the walk through the winery to the tasting area was interesting. A great band, but the acoustics of the large open rafter space reduced the quality of their performance. We had a baked pretzel, which was passing just okay being over baked, and there was no melted cheese as the menu listed. A Quatro Formagio Pizza was tasty but undersized for the price. We didn't get to try the house wine, but the rose' we were served was good but from a different cellar. I would give them another visit when the weather is warmer for wine and music, but skip the food menu.
M D — Google review
On Friday, 08/22, I was charged a $10 cover fee for "live music" that never took place. I arrived at 7:30 PM to find the venue nearly empty, the kitchen already closed (forcing us to leave for food), and no music of any kind. My date and I had only a single glass of wine before the bartender called last call. Charging customers for an advertised experience that was never delivered is misleading and unacceptable. If this is the standard at Rigger’s Loft, I see no choice but to warn others and avoid recommending this winery to anyone. That said, the location is unique, and the ambiance is a no-frills, down-to-earth space (that could benefit from some sound dampening). The wine itself was great and the bartender was welcoming and very service minded. It’s unfortunate that the positives were overshadowed by such a disappointing and misleading experience.
Mads M — Google review
I enjoyed the wine, cider and available food truck during my 1st time visiting Riggers Loft. Located in the historic Richmond Shipyards district, I especially enjoyed the panoramic views of San Francisco bay and skyline and the free parking.
Bella F — Google review
The view cannot be matched. They have outdoor seating very near the waters of SF Bay. You can see the hills of the East Bay as well as the Bay Bridge and sailboats floating in out of the Richmond harbor. I don't drink, but my friends enjoyed their alcoholic libations.

Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline is a picturesque waterfront space located in Pinole, just off the Richmond Parkway. It offers a variety of amenities including a picnic area, beach, fishing pier, and panoramic views of the bay. Visitors can also explore the model railroad museum on-site. The park features open restrooms and plenty of parking, making it convenient for impromptu trips. Walking along the bay provides stunning views, although the rocky terrain requires comfortable footwear.
This spot feels like a hidden gem for those seeking a peaceful retreat by the water. It features a small lagoon with geese, lush greenery, and a welcoming atmosphere for dogs. The picturesque scenery makes it perfect for a picnic or a relaxing evening stroll.

In a city that’s long struggled with inequality and pollution, this protected stretch of land is a small but powerful victory. It’s a reminder that some things should be preserved, not just for the some, but for everyone who seeks peace, meaning, or a moment to breathe. I walked the shoreline with the weight of miles behind me and purpose in my chest. Here, you can feel your soul stretch out again. The trails, lagoon, and sweeping vistas speak to those who’ve fought hard! Those who know what it means to lose and still rise.

My dog loves this place. Birds to chase, a pond to swim in, lots of trails and walkways to trot and run about. The best time to visit is early in the a.m. So beautiful, quiet, and tranquil.

Nice spot for a relaxed walk by the water. Trails are easy, views of the Bay are great, and there’s plenty of open space to just hang out. There are BBQ pits, benches, and plenty of free parking, making it a great place for a picnic or sunset watching.

I love this place, it's 5 minutes away from my house and I can take my two years old on my back. It's a pretty easy hike to get to a nice view. Took us about an hour up and down

The Lake is awesome, with ever changing water levels. The many birds that use it are fun to watch. Huge lawns and many picnic areas. Walking paths right next to the Bay so walking along them means you can see from the Richmond San Rafael Bridge to the Oakland Bay Bridge with everything in between.

Park
Pogonip Open Space, located near UC Santa Cruz campus, spans 640 acres and features a diverse landscape of redwood and oak forests, grassy meadows, and slopes. The park is known for its unique attractions such as overgrown stone kilns from the 1800s used to process lime. With approximately eight miles of hiking trails offering scenic views of Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay, Pogonip also has multi-use trails popular with mountain bikers.
Hiked the loop at Pogonip which is an energizing 5 mile hike through redwoods with small brooks and streams, visiting the old clubhouse, lime kilns and of the course visiting the koi point. Breath taking views of the Pacific from the start of the hike. Best hiking location in bay area if you get an opportunity to go.
Gerard G — Google review
An easily accessible beautiful relatively easy stroll in the redwoods can be found adjacent to the city of Santa Cruz and UCSC. Includes a view of historic lime kilns and views of the Monterey Bay. Free access no out of pocket purchase required.
John H — Google review
Beautiful easy nature trail through woods. Very picturesque coupled with open space and woods, path takes by small waterfalls, by stream and crossing over a stream breathing in nature. There are several other trails to branch off . Regular walkers do this 4 mile easy walk with friends and families.
Info S — Google review
Pogonip was good enough, but not amazing. Very nice options for trails, some shady trails, some open space trails, some great views, spotted a deer, and some good exercise, but no trail gets a five star from me unless there is something spectacular to see, like a waterfall - and the Lost Boys House is cool, but not spectacular. Besides, when we left, I found a tick crawling on my neck under my ear lobe and then turned around to find 2 more on my dog. We've been on lots of trails around here, and that's by FAR the most ticks I've found. Yuck.

Cool spot to go hiking or dog walking!
Paul-Elie N — Google review
A local treasure of family friendly trails. Both meadow and forest with lots to explore. Highly recommend the loop trail. Don’t miss the hidden koi pond and rock cairns on another visit. Limited parking, but with multiple trailheads (Spring Street, Golf Course Dr, etc.) you can usually find a spot or just hike or bike in. Beware of the prolific poison oak.
Nanette B — Google review
What a great 7-mile hike! The Emma McCrary trail was easy to moderate. The trail is marked very well. There are no restrooms. The trailhead is located at the end of Golf Club Rd. There are several dirt parking spots at the end, but on a weekend, I would park on the paved road. To get to the Emma Trail, make sure you go to the right of the gate and not through the road gate - look for trail signs. There were a couple of homeless camps the first mile of the trail.
Olivia C — Google review
Finally walked one of the trails, it is a beautiful 11 mile area close to the heart of Santa Cruz. The trail we walked was mainly uphill but there are others that are less strenuous. Has mountain bike and horse trails too. The Koi pond is lovely, surrounded by Redwoods in a peaceful setting.

Eh, I wanted to love this park after hearing great things about it. Pros: soft rubber ground great for toddlers and had a cute little toddler play structure. Cons: It felt like it had a lot of deferred maintenance, and there was no shade.

Went to a popup vegan food vendor event with my daughter. Nice park. Only one toilet worked. The event was good. parking around there could be difficult. Overheard a woman inline for toilet mentioning she had a couple bad experiences at Richmond Bart station. Across the street was a dried up dead cat that must have been there months.

This place really is a hidden gem in Richmond! Considering the location, deep in Richmond's Iron Triangle area, I was really nervous about bringing my young daughter. But I was pleasantly surprised! Great long, flat bike path, tiny paved undulating track for small kids or RC cars, then 3 progressively larger and more difficult dirt tracks for adults, complete with big jumps! People of all ages and races present, including a group of men with super fast rc dirt cars! These guys were really nice, willing to talk about their hobby, and respectful of others in the area, ensuring they weren't running into people or keeping them from enjoying the same area. Im impressed and looking forward to going back often with my kid!

Space Explorers: THE INFINITE - Richmond offers an incredible and immersive virtual reality experience that transports you to the International Space Station. The 360-degree views of Earth are breathtaking, providing a perspective that is rarely seen. Many have been moved to tears by the experience, and it's highly recommended for those who are curious about space exploration. The VR technology allows for a motion sickness-free experience, making it accessible to a wider audience.
I’ve never experienced something so amazing and immersive that got me so excited to share with my friends and family. Words alone don’t do this experience justice. When you put on your VR Headset you are transported immediately onto the International Space Station. 360 views of Earth from a perspective I’ll likely never get to see otherwise. Numerous times throughout the experience I got chills. I saw more than a few people wiping away tears when they took off their headset. Get your tickets to this ASAP. Once the word gets out, it going to be a tough ticket I’m sure. Don’t be dissuaded by the fact that it is in Richmond either. It’s RIGHT NEXT TO the Richmond Ferry Terminal which allows you another awesome opportunity, take a ferry ride from SF!
Mike O — Google review
Every time I visit The Infinite, I have a new experience, a new discovery. This is amazing. Closest I’ll get to going to space. Don’t let me forget that when I came back to earth I was greeted with this amazing view and saw an Astronaut!!! Get out to the Craneway to launch 🚀 into space!!!
Kerri D — Google review
My fourth time seeing Space Explorers: The Infinite (first 3 were in Montreal) and took another 2 guests along yesterday. Still absolutely mind-blowing and awe-inspiring. Lots of parking and while I went by car I see that the ferry from SF docks directly outside the Craneway Pavilion.
Anil P — Google review
Really enjoyed this. It's a virtual experience where you wear a headset and explore the international space station along with a room full of other people. It's quite well done, and very immersive. You really feel like you're there brushing your teeth and doing things with the astronauts although it is pre-recorded videos that you navigate around the area to find. Afterwards you sit down to have a VR spacewalk, again, it's pre-recorded but the views are truly astounding. You understand how to let go of life's troubles when you see things from this perspective. It wraps up with a light show in a different room and a little walk down a mirrored hallway. Great diversion from the day-to-day, and perspective broadening. Well worth it.
V T — Google review
What an amazing incredible experience - absolutely loved it!! I felt like I was on the space station without the motion. I was leery about going since I suffer from motion sickness. So glad there was no sensation of motion even while seeing the earth rotating slowly beneath me. I felt like the astronauts were right there with us. I also wear glasses with different prescriptions in my right & left eyes. I was able to see clearly without them on although I could have worn them in the head set if needed.
Terry P — Google review
Overall a great experience - engaging, informative and interactive! The staff was very nice and joyful which added to making our trip even more enjoyable. At the end there’s a great photo opp! We visited Carne y arena earlier that day and frankly were very disappointed - a 5min VR movie for 40$..
Rafał W — Google review
I was so looking forward to this, but I was pretty disappointed with it. First of all, as many have said it isn’t long enough, second of all there were a few technical issues that caused us to miss out on some of it, and third it was very similar to something I saw on my own Oculus at home (minus the documentary-like stories). I’m glad we got a group discount at $40 each instead of paying the full $50. Thankfully we didn’t have to wait like others mentioned, but overall it did not live up to all the hype.
Carey — Google review
We absolutely loved the VR portion of the program and would do it again. It was intimate, exciting, utterly gratifying if you any interest in space programs. After that, the art bits . . . It was a sensory assault to us. My ears still hurt and my spouse has a headache. You can skip it, they have a direct exit, and we recommend that.

As a frequent visitor, I can attest to the park's allure, bringing my kids here at least twice a month. Their excitement is palpable as they explore the expansive sand pit and navigate the intricate jungle gym. The park's layout encourages imaginative play and physical activity, fostering creativity and healthy development in children. If you're just wanting a calm day at a safe park this is the best. It's not too big, but not small either. The park is divides by a gate one side for big kids and the other side for toddlers. The big side does have a small area with sand and a tiny slide for smaller babies. To The sides have swings, slides, and climbing bars. There was no restroom. There is a picnic table and benches. No water fountain for drinking. No bbq pit There is a trash and recycling bin. We stayed for a maybe 2 hours and didn't see any diversity. 4 Asian mother and their toddlers came, not at the same time, and they didn't know each other beforehand. But everyone was polite and attentive to their babies. The toddler park had a toddler lock on the gate that prevents the babies from leaving, but easy for parents. Good to go on a sunny day if your kid has an imagination.

Windchaser Wine Co is a young and up-and-coming Bay Area winery that's now producing some of the region's premier wines. Dave Gifford is a passionate winemaker who is learning all he can about making wine on his own and producing high-quality products. His wines are enjoyed by people all over the Bay Area, and he's certainly on the rise in this competitive industry.
I love the tasting experience with Dave personally attending to us on a Sunday afternoon. Apart from the service, the wines are made IMO European style and are extremely food friendly. I have tried extensively to many wine regions in many countries including Northern America, and I can say this place is worth a visit!
Harish N — Google review
Windchaser Wine is a great place to spend an afternoon. They serve up beautiful and distinctly original wines in a comfortable and fun setting. Owner David is kind, funny, and provides great information on his wines and winemaking process. You can expect excellent, varied music on deck. We have been members for some time now and appreciate coming and relaxing for a tasting. Windchaser has some fun cheesy items to pair and also partners with great pop ups for both food and music, making it a full afternoon. Windchaser is very dog friendly and conveniently located a minute off the Bay trail. We often ride our bikes here for an afternoon tasting.

A really nice tasting room tucked just off the highway in Berkeley. I stopped by for a holiday work event and the place was nicely decorated for the season. I tried one red and one white while I was there. I found both the Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris to be very light and tasty in their own ways, and I would strongly recommend the Pinot Gris if you stop by. The tasting room follows common COVID safety guidelines. The staff were all wearing masks, the room was open and well-ventilated, and most attendees wore masks when they weren't eating/drinking.

My wife, kids, and I popped into Windchaser Wine after seeing signs for it on the road. We live nearby and were excited to check it out. We got two Flight of 4 tastings to get a feel for all of the wines. We really enjoyed the sparkling Pinot. The Malbec was also great. We ended up taking a bottle of each to go. The owner, David, was also really friendly and was happy to chat and answer our questions about wine. We're stoked that this is so close to our place. We will definitely be coming back regularly.

I love Dave, he’s awesome. His wines are legendary. My daughter took her first steps in his winery when my family was in town and we stopped by for a tasting. Local history museum
The Richmond Museum of History & Culture is a hidden gem for anyone interested in the rich tapestry of Richmond's past. Housed in a charming old Carnegie Library building, this small museum offers fascinating insights into local history, including exhibits on the Standard Oil refinery, Ford manufacturing plant, and shipyards that shaped the area. Visitors can explore artifacts related to Native American history and World War II, as well as view unique items like the first Model A Ford assembled in Richmond.
Absolutely amazing place. I love museums and learning about new things especially in my neighborhood. This museum is very educational and I got a very cute watercolor print. I will definitely be coming back to buy some t-shirts and books. I would recommend anyone and everyone to go here. The neighborhood it’s in isn’t the best so just make sure nothing is in your car when you park and you will be fine.

If you want to know the history of Richmond, Standard Oil refinery (later called Chevron), Ford manufacturing plant and Richmond ship yards, this will be the place. There are also some artefacts and explanation on native Indian who were living in the Bay Area for thousands of year s Museum’ staffs are friendly and knowledgable. The neighbourhood didn’t seem to be the safest part of the town, so watch you belongings and don’t leave anything in your parked vehicles as a minimum

It's a very small museum. Street parking is available. It displays the history of Richmond. It also displays some articles from WW2 . It displays the first model "A" Ford car assembled at Richmond, Shipyard Phone, Fire Alarm Repeater, Rosettes from Richmond Union High School and many more. It has a small seating area near the entrance of the museum. The staff are friendly. We need less than 30 mins to take a tour of this museum. Small Rose garden
Supriya R — Google review
This place was awesome. After living in Richmind 3 years, I finally managed to visit and I am so glad I did. Cool old maps of the area showing the ranches and properties before incorporation and lots of interesting exhibits and photos. The highlight is a Model A Ford, manufactured at the Ford plant in Richmond, on display which had been used for years as a municipal car and then restored and contributed to the museum. The building is an old Carnegie Library building as well. Not the greatest neighborhood, but, hey, it's Richmond, not Beverly Hills! Definitely worth a visit, especially before or after seeing the Rosie The Riveter National Park Museum.

Go see the recently restored Victor Arnauthoff mural! One of the great Depression era muralists working for FDR's public works administration Arnauthoff painted and supervised the Coit Tower murals. More recently his "Life of Washington" ... which explicitly (and correctly) shows Washington's involvment in slavery (as an owner of slaves) and the early colonial record of aggression towards native Americans ... has been the center of a storm of controversy as it's removal has been promoted by politically correct "identity politics" folks. It is currently on a wall in the now closed due to Pandemic Washington High School and awaits it's fate in the courts after a lawsuit brought by the high school's alumni organization which wants to see the mural remain to be displayed.
