Historical landmark
St. Armands Circle is a charming circular park surrounded by boutiques, restaurants, and salons, featuring Italian statuary. The area is set to welcome new dining experiences like Bar Hana and Palm Avenue Deli, offering elevated bar food and classic comfort foods with a retro 1950s design. Visitors can explore over 100 shops and restaurants just steps away from Lido Beach or venture to nearby areas like Englewood's Dearborn Street or Venice Main Street.
Charming dining and shopping district centered on a picturesque palm-lined circle. We planned to simply stop for a coffee, yet ended up staying thru lunch, shopping, dinner, dessert and more shopping. Plenty of outdoor seating at the many bars and restaurants. Pedestrian-friendly streets coupled plus ample street parking made for a great walkable experience. Street parking off the circle is $1.50 per hour from 10am to 6pm.

Great place to have a dinner or just ice cream/gelato. Many small shops with high prices. Very clean and pretty views. Good amount of restaurants to choose from affordable to $$$. I personally saw at least 6 ice cream places. I do not, why so many. I liked Turkish store with lots of baklava and sweets options. Turkish coffee was amazing. In the circle paid parking, but plenty of free parking just a block or 2 away.
Vadim R — Google review
My wife and I live on Fruitville so to go to Saint Armands is a straight shot down the road less than 10 minutes. They offer so many food options and they host various festivals as well like food and arts. It’s right by lido Beach. There are a ton of different world, food options, such as Italian, Colombian, Greek and American. There is also a ton of dessert options like fudge baklava, coffee, and candy all around the circle. It’s a great tourist attraction.
Gabriel T — Google review
Such a great place to check out if in the area! Lots of shopping, restaurants and also local events. They do a huge Halloween trick or treating that was so fun for the kids and adults! Anything from pumpkin carving, candy and decor to Turkish coffee! Highly recommend checking out and supporting the local!

One of my favorite areas! Such an easy walk to the beach. Amazing shops and restaurant. Fun art festival we stumbled across one weekend. So much character,
Hannah R — Google review
Lots of posh boutiques, restaurants and a nice feel throughout the area. However, don’t be surprised by the panhandling and a couple of homeless who do ask for money. Some beach type souvenir shops were also present as well.
Tack — Google review
Beautiful location so many choices at so many beautiful stores! We really enjoyed our walk around the area. Friendly environment definitely recommend people to park and enjoy a walk around the area.
Samuel P — Google review
Really nice to walk around and very vibrant atmosphere especially in the evening. The town comes alive and people having good time. We love to come here every year for a couple of weeks. Lots of choices for Shopping around and restaurants. Coming from Chicago, the atmosphere is great here, we also love the beach and many other places in Sarasota! We are even considering to get a place here in the future if the opportunity presents itself. Come here to visit at least one time and you'll not be disappointed.

Aquariums
Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium is a fascinating destination that offers an immersive experience with over 100 marine species. Visitors can enjoy touch pools, working labs, and interactive exhibits. The aquarium features a stingray touch tank, a shark tank, and a nearby mammal center where manatees can be observed. Additionally, the facility provides educational opportunities for visitors of all ages to learn about marine life and interact with various sea creatures.
We visited from Arizona and this stop did not disappoint. I enjoyed all the exhibits and the educational graphics. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a great time and we will definitely be visiting again the next time that we are visiting family in Bradenton. My parents really enjoyed the touch pool and the sea turtles. I enjoyed watching the amphibians.
Lorenzo F — Google review
Very nice aquarium! Loved the renovation. The food court had an excellent range of food options. The manatee, penguins and otters were my kid's favorite.
K. S — Google review
I had a really great time at this aquarium, and I definitely would come again. There are two main buildings, the building with fish and other attractions like a preserved giant squid and a virtual reality experience, and a building with mammals like manatees and turtles. Once you pay for a ticket, you can enter both of these buildings. I suggest starting at the main building, and when you finish, follow the path marked with paintings of fish, and you can find your way to the mammal building. There's also a bird sanctuary, which is free entry. You can spend a decent amount of time there, so if you don't want to spend any money, it's a great option. This place is great for anyone of any age, and the elevators for accessibility make it a very open experience for anyone of any demographic. I highly recommend this place if you want to learn about marine life or just enjoy your day viewing interesting sea creatures.
Mr. G — Google review
Super cute little aquarium, I heard they're expanding recently as well? (I went a few years ago). Have a focus on sea turtles and rescue/rehabilitation of them. Can also see dolphins, manatees, a variety of fish and marine life, and a VERY NICE otter exhibit, the otters have a nice waterfall, clear clean water and lots of toys!
Anon A — Google review
I’m very happy to know they are moving to newer and nicer / larger building soon! This will be amazing for them since you always have to walk to the building across the street. People are so friendly and so nice, we Love the people working and volunteering here! There was an older gentleman who took the time to explain to us how their giant squid ( found dead and now being preserved ) came to the facility. He was an amazing story telling and so knowledgeable about these creatures! We can’t wait to come back but now to the new facilities!
Rebeca M — Google review
Was hoping to see the new aquarium. However, this one open til July 6th. It is inside and out and allows us to see some amazing sea life. Worth a visit. However, the new place should be awesome. This takes a good 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Does have a café.
Jeff F — Google review
We took our grandchildren here during a vacation. We enjoyed the educational experience. It is kid friendly and a great place for them to explore the wonders of the sea. Staff are knowledgeable and approachable. They enjoy educating the visitors, especially the children. There are hands-on activities for the littles. It is not overwhelming big, the perfect size for the children. The bird sanctuary and manatees are a short walk and worth it.
Valerie R — Google review
Every Monday during summer your child gets to learn about conservation while touching, catching and releasing different sea creatures. No fee but must be registered and needs to be with a parent. Mote has a hidden gem behind the building where they host weddings etc. this is where they are hosting their educational conservation series. Mote used to also honor SNAP discounts but I haven't tried since they moved to the fancy new location. This is such a great place and so important for Florida for the animals and for the next generation.

Nature & Parks
Joan M Durante Community Park is a protected wetland and coastal hammock forest habitat located in Longboat Key. It offers walking and biking paths where visitors can observe various birds, fish, and crabs. The park also provides opportunities for kayaking through calm waters, mangrove tunnels, and natural plant species. Additionally, it features a playground, bathroom facilities, picnic areas, sports fields, and a dog park.
A beautiful find ! Discovered some very interesting plants. The boardwalk, unfortunately, is still closed, but it did not take away from us exploring. Clean bathrooms and cute little play area for kids. Dog friendly
Rajh C — Google review
These kids truly enjoyed walking through the mangroves and reading the park provided map, which in truth is the best map we have gotten in any of our travels to any parks. (We have visited many, many of them in many states) This park can be described as magical and kept very nicely as it is clean and terribly charming. If you are looking for beautiful views of the bay and a quiet place to get away from the busy beaches...this is it! Dogs are welcome if leashed and you clean up after them. There are even bathrooms and small pavilions to rest. We highly recommend a stop to walk or have a picnic!
Maria C — Google review
A beautiful and secluded park that is on the Sarasota Bay. The playground is nice, the grounds are kept clean as well. There are plenty of walking paths that are mostly crushed shell and boardwalks. I always see plenty of wildlife and enjoy the time at this park.
Brendan C — Google review
Looks like this park could be a great place - but a lot of the activities / walking trails were closed. Looking forward to reviewing it again next year when its more accessible.
Sean M — Google review
A beautiful park to come bring kids or pets. A beautiful walking trail with great views of the water. Amazing views of some Florida trees as well. Nice and quiet as well if you are looking for escaping the craziness of beaches and tourist areas in Sarasota. If you are up for it you can bike to this park, but the trail is more for walking than biking.
John M — Google review
Middle of Longboard Key a wonderful walk under the mangroves along the Sarasota bay. Plenty of shade with spectacular views within the mangroves and lookout onto the bay. Well maintained. Kid and dog friendly.
Tom L — Google review
Something for every nature lover here. The paths and boardwalk offer a close up look at a mangrove ecosystem. Great trails for walking, biking and flat enough to navigate with most strollers. Beautiful views of Sarasota bay. We saw jellyfish and horseshoe crabs. There was a great playground with restrooms and picnic tables. Great break from the beach.
Anne S — Google review
I would have given it 5 stars but a couple paths were blocked for renovation. Beautiful nature trails through mangrove with great views of Sarasota Bay. Walked for about an hour never repeating any trail.

Euphemia Haye Restaurant & The Haye Loft is a historic cottage that has been serving global fine dining since 1975.
Old rustic ambience. Food cooked to quality perfection. Veal Marsala must try if you’re a veal fan. Service was impeccable. The restaurant is house made into a restaurant. It’s down a little tiny road. Very interesting. There is a parking lot and barely no sign telling you it’s even a restaurant. On the upper floor of the house there is a bakery that makes homemade desserts, yum. Two separate checks. We had a very unique experience. We will definitely return in the future.

Great place!! The deserts are next level. We had a piece of pecan pie, peanut butter pie, and probably one of the best apple pie’s I have ever had. Two people could easily split one slice of any of them. Must go to place if you’re in the area. And the bar is a small, well stocked cool place as well. A lot of options, and great service.
K C — Google review
Service is some of the best I have ever had on vacation. My roasted duckling was great and my wife's grouper was delightful. The real treat was the dessert bar upstairs. Best banana creme pie I've ever had.
Daniel P — Google review
5 Stars! A Gem of Longboat Key! Nestled upstairs, The Haye Loft offers a funky and fun atmosphere that stands out as the best vibe on Longboat Key. It's not just a dining spot; it's an experience. The desserts, housemade daily, are a bountiful delight with the chocolate cake, peanut butter pie, and brownies deserving a special mention! The magic of the place is further enhanced by Georgette, who not only provides insightful tours and history of the restaurant but also guides patrons through the tempting dessert options at the dessert bar. The service is nothing short of excellent, carried out by seasoned servers whose tenure spans years, and sometimes, decades. This continuity of staff adds a layer of warmth and familiarity to the service that is rare to find. In summary, The Haye Loft is not just about great food; it's about the magical experience that begins the moment you step in. This place should have 5 stars. Our orders: Shrimp Rolls Hummus Cesar Salad Peppered Steak Blacked Shrimp + Dessert
Matthew P — Google review
Love this place. Food always delicious. Staff very friendly. Must go upstairs for the deserts room experience.
Eric T — Google review
Great atmosphere. Steaks were ok but dry and not worth the money. Got the filet and peppercorn ny stripwhich. The shrimp appetizer was amazing. Dessert was good and a really cool definitely worth the experience of going to a separate dessert room. The gluten free chocolate cake was the best my wife ever had.
B R — Google review
I was spending the weekend on Lido beach and my girlfriend and I had the best dinner of the trip here. It has been over 20 years, but prior to that while living in the area, I had been coming to this restaurant since the '80s. I know it has changed hands in recent years, but our meal did not disappoint!! As good as I remembered , maybe better. If you want s fine dining experience, this is the place. All the food was outstanding, try the blueberry soup, amazing. Best dirty martini ever!!
Janet M — Google review
Drinks, deserts, bartenders and atmosphere are fantastic…have eaten there 3 times over 4 years, each time optimistic that the food must be better and I’m just having bad experiences. Unfortunately, the food continues to disappoint - overly well-done duck, chemical-tasting pasta sauce and soupy, bland sauces…I’m done hoping. Will eat elsewhere and go here for after dinner drink and occasional desert.

Restaurant
Dry Dock Waterfront Grill is a casual waterfront restaurant located at the Boathouse marina on Longboat Key, offering panoramic views of Sarasota Bay. It has been recognized as one of the 100 Most Scenic Restaurants in America for its picturesque setting. The menu features seafood specialties such as grouper sandwiches, lobster rolls, and Boathouse Burgers.
Great food! Great service. When my husband said he was taking me to lunch, I was thinking we were going to another restaurant. I was quite glad when he pulled up to Dry Dock Waterfront Grill as I knew I didn't have to worry about what I would order. Of course, I ordered the best thing on the menu: the seafood pasta with garlic and wine sauce (I forgot to order it with extra garlic though!! 🤦🏿‍♀️). My husband ordered the Tuscan cream sauce pasta with blackened grouper. He said it was delicious. I wouldn't know since I was gobbling down my own deliciousness so quickly! 🤷🏿 We gave the virgin strawberry daiquiris. They were ok, a little icy and lacked the sweetness of some others. The outdoor patio was breezy and nice. They really try to make it comfortable for the guests and it shows. DDWG is a bit pricey, and it doesn't look like they have a lunch menu (unless I missed it??), so if you are budget conscious, you'll have to choose your menu items carefully. Whatever you choose, especially if it's one of their pastas, you'll be glad you did! Happy eating! 😊
L R — Google review
Im not much of a seafood person but this place was phenomenal. I had a few locals tell me how good this place is and it did not disappoint. Their coconut shrimp and their category 5 shrimp were phenomenal. And the lobster rolls had you craving for some more. Highly recommend!
Chris B — Google review
The food at Dry Dock Waterfront Grill was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The views overlooking Sarasota Bay were stunning and made the whole experience worth the visit. Carly, our waitress, was top-notch. She had fantastic people skills, made us feel genuinely welcome, and took great care of us throughout the meal. You can tell she loves what she does. Great atmosphere, great service, and great food. Highly recommend!
Jonathan Y — Google review
On vacation we rarely eat at the same place twice but we did here! Went early for dinner around 4 to 5pm. Did have to wait a few minutes but we'll worth it. They have deck seating and 2 and 3 floor seating, all with great views of the bay. Our first visit, our waitress was exceptional! Our meal superb! Had grouper, veggies and real mashed potatoes. This was the best meal of the week!!! My second was sea bass, red potatoes and asparagus. Other plates were delighful chicken. Veggies so tender. Highly recommend 👌 FYI watch out for Barney Fife with the Longboat Police dept. They work Gulf Blvd with their radar guns!
Jeff F — Google review
🤤 o m g. Delish! Amazing vibe, delicious food, and phenomenal service. The entrees are very generous portions with a delicious salad. I got the blackened grouper and my partner got the bacon wrapped scallops and coconut shrimp. I did not have a bad bite of food all night. We had an amazing sunset to complement dinner time too! They had a ton of fans running outside to keep the air moving to prevent overheating. Our server was even kind enough to take a cute picture of me and my boo at sunset :) worth the splurge!
Sarah L — Google review
Exceptional food and service! AND the view of the water was amazing! Our server Sylvia was amazing and so knowledgeable and patient as it was our 1st time there but definitely not our last! Red snapper was so delish as we're the crab cakes and crab claws! Upscale restaurant but doesn't make you feel out of place!! Loved it
Linda T — Google review
My first time here, it was excellent! Haddock fish and chips was crispy, thick and not greasy! Dani waited on me, sweet girl. Great food, atmosphere and service. Place for boats to dock! Beautiful view upstairs or outside on first floor. Give it a try!

We dined at Dry Dock Waterfront Grill on Longboat Key and had an overall very positive experience. The view of Sarasota Bay is absolutely stunning , whether seated on the upstairs windows or on the dock-side patio, you feel like you have front-row waterfront seats.

Seafood restaurant
Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant & Pub is a charming seafood spot housed in an early-1900s beach house, exuding an Old Florida vibe with its rustic atmosphere and patio offering scenic views. Located on Longboat Key overlooking Sarasota Bay, this tropical setting provides guests with the option to dine on the covered deck or under a canopy of buttonwood trees.
The wait for seating was made better by the beautiful water view. Our waiter was pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable. All the food we ordered was delicious. Potato tots were big with a crunchy shell and filled with soft flavorful potatoes. The fish were cooked to perfection. The open water view was splendid, even when seated inside.

We loved it here. Such a cute little vibe. My kids loved the games as we waited for our food. We arrived early and got a table immediately which was nice. The food was absolutely delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. My husband really loved the poke bowl he ordered, and I was left wishing I had grabbed it too. It was delicious.
Samantha B — Google review
Fantastic place on a quiet area of the beach where you can watch the boats & kayaks sitting under some very cool trees in the sand. There are several fans deployed to keep you cool! Our server Zach was chill & informative about the menu. We enjoyed some drinks & had the calamari with a unique dipping sauce based on coconut. I liked it although my husband prefers a spicy marinara sauce. He had the chicken sandwich - was ok - kind of dry with the tasty homemade potato chips. I had the peel & eat shrimp - delish with a side of broccolini. We enjoyed it immensely & will be back!
Cat M — Google review
Sat at the bar and we had a very nice bartender! He showed us all the menu and specials plus he offered us the top picks! We had the grilled crab which by the way was amazing!!!! Breaded shrimp and the crispy Brussels 10/10… I had the margarita with pineapple and tajin, I did not like it too much and I would prefer a normal margarita also it needed a little bit more of agave but I think that is just a preference! I would come back to keep trying their interesting cocktail list! 🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸
Angelina A — Google review
This is not the first time we have dined at Mar Vista. We have always had great service, food and atmosphere. We came back for my husband’s birthday and as a recommendation to friends who were visiting. This evening out was disappointing compared to our prior visits. We had reservations for 6 ppl at 8 pm. The hostess struggled to find our reservation which kicked off a comedy of errors, so to speak. We had a nice table by the water, requested when making the reservation. We waited for over 10 min without acknowledgment until we went back to the host and ask if we had a server. 🙄 The server (Chriztopher) finally arrived, tossed some cardboard coasters around and ask for a drink order. When asked if there were any specials, he said “no, we had red snapper but we are out so I’m not going to bother to tell you.” We ordered wine, beverages, and appetizers (tater tots, peel and eat shrimp) apps were great but slow to be delivered. We then ordered our dinner Seafood Trio (recommended), Jalapeño-glazed Grouper (recommended) and Filet minion + requested addition scallops. We were then informed they were out of scallops as well the red snapper (2 of 3 items explained to be on the Trio). We were told the fish would be substituted with another fish (although not sure with what) and in lieu of scallops we would receive some extra shrimp. Needless to say 3 orders of the Trio were changed and no add on to the steak dinner 🙄. We were told that we should not have made reservations that late because the kitchen frequently runs out. Seriously, the restaurant sets the reservation times!? Maybe a disclaimer needs to be added at time of booking! The Grouper was delicious as was described. The Trio was less than desirable without a trio and the steak was fine nothing amazing. So 3 out of 6 guest were highly satisfied for their main course. We had dessert - Chocolate Cake for 2 and Key-lime for the birthday and some expresso martinis - both desserts were fabulous. The key-lime was served and a platter with birthday wishes include which was nice. The martinis were okay. All in all our dinner ended on a good note. I would say we had dinner out but not a true dinning experience, there’s a big difference! We dined next door at the Shore the evening before (same time, same guest) and at a comparable cost. I am sad to say, the Shore blew MarVista away in all categories - service, food and atmosphere! Not sure what’s happening with MarVista, maybe they were just having a bad night. It was definitely less than we have previously experienced from a well-known favorite.

A staple for Longboat! This place is a must my family was in town and we went twice. It is the loveliest dining experience with exceptional views. The food and service is TOP TIER! All around great dining.

Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant and Pub offers a stunning close up view of the bay—you simply can’t get closer to the water! The friendly staff and prompt service make for a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. While the food is more on the simple, classic pub-fare side, the variety of dishes and drinks pairs perfectly with the gorgeous setting. A great spot to relax on Longboat Key.

Quick Point Nature Preserve is a serene natural area spanning over 400 acres, offering picturesque hiking trails and abundant wildlife. Nestled at the south end of Longboat Key, it safeguards wetlands and mangroves, providing a tranquil escape into nature. Visitors can explore elevated boardwalks winding through natural and man-made lagoons while catching glimpses of wild animals. Although compact in size, this preserve offers a peaceful ambiance with secluded beach areas for fishing and leisurely strolls.
This is such a beautiful preserve. It’s a quick walk through, but you can also swim in the ocean here, and it’s more secluded compared to a more popular beach. There is a lot of wildlife to see, such as birds, butterflies and maybe even manatees or fish at the end viewpoint. It’s a mostly shaded walk I believe.
Rachel I — Google review
Very secluded beach but not really for laying in the sun. MANY fishermen enjoy the spot. No bathrooms. The pie was closed of die to hurricane damage.
Lori S — Google review
Amazing almost hidden gem! Beautiful sand and boardwalk trails, amongst mangrove lagoons and the gorgeous, clear, turquoise waters of the channel. A perfect nature lovers park. I’m always excited to go back. Snorkeling right at the beach entrance provided views of spider crabs, live conch, hermit crabs, snook and a starfish
TJ C — Google review
I used to camp out here free range before they built the boardwalk. It's still a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle.
Grace B — Google review
Short hike but pretty . Good for relaxing and enjoy the water . There's wild animals around so just take precautions. No bathrooms in the area . No Dog friendly. Pick up your trash, be prepared to carry your stuff . The parking is really reduced and you have to walk it's a short way .
Lula — Google review
Beautiful beach. There is a lot less people than most of the other beaches in the area. I was the only one there. Except for a few fisherman down the way a bit. The boardwalk is still closed (4/14/25) after hurricane damage last year. So you are only able to see a small portion of the preserve
Ashley S — Google review
This small bayside park is great place for a short walk and little private beach area. You can fish and walk through the mangroves on the boardwalk.

This is such a beautiful marina! So accommodating and easy to use. Kasey in the office was so helpful and answering my questions and helping get scheduled. The dockhands are knowledgeable and kind, and patient. We needed ice and they even brought it to the boat for us. The ONLY suggestion I have to make to improve this marina, would to label the docks so it can be seen from the water at the T-head stating what dock it is, ie “A, B, C,” etc. It was a quick drive to Longboat Key Resort which is breathtaking. The grounds are so clean at the marina and very well kept!

Wow, what a wonderful and comfortable place to vacation. Our room had a private balcony overlooking the gulf...one side of the balcony had a table where you could sit and eat and the other balcony off the bedroom side had a lounge chair where you could lay in the sun and watch the sunset . The bathroom was unbelievable in that it was a separate room where you could close the door and there was a dressing area with more than enough room to hang up your clothes and a place to sit to lace up your shoes even ! A huge counter with great lighting and the mirrors were large and well lit. I'm a petite person and sometimes I can barely see my head in the hotel mirror, lol . The room was more like an apartment and had everything you could possibly need...including a washer and dryer off the full kitchen. It had a small but full refrigerator - it even had an ice maker in it! I absolutely loved this place -- it was the best place on the beach I've ever stayed in! The service was wonderful too. I didn't want to ever leave.

If you're looking for a venue that exhibits warmth and beauty in an upscale yet friendly environment, the Resort at Longboat Key Club is the perfect place. We are wedding photographers (Fallbrook Photography) and we had the pleasure of shooting one of our recent weddings at the Harbourside ballroom this month. Tatyana and Ethan, a gorgeous and vibrant couple, tied the knot in style on the beautiful courtyard at the Moorings followed by a cocktail hour and reception in the Harbourside Ballroom. As always the staff were so welcoming to the couple, guests, and vendors, special thanks to Ayla (the event sales manager) During our groups photos with the bride and her girls, a staff member offered the bridal party fresh mimosas. The girls were ecstatic and so were we; mimosas always create a relaxing environment! The resort helped everything run so smoothly and showed genuine concern to ensure that everything went perfectly for the couple. Lastly, the atmosphere was everything a bride and groom could ask for. The food was exquisite, the staff was attentive, the view surrounding the venue was gorgeous - making our "Romantics" photo session of the bride and groom sooooo easy, and a subtle yet sweet scent filled the air (we weren't quite able to figure out what it was!). We'd like to thank this venue for doing such a fabulous job!

I had a fantastic experience at Long Boat Key Resort! The staff was not only friendly but also incredibly efficient. The beach waitresses and bar staff stood out, making our stay exceptionally pleasant. The resort's beautiful white sand and overall atmosphere added to the charm. The lobster salad wraps were a highlight, and the kids thoroughly enjoyed the beach and pool. Highly recommend this resort for a delightful getaway!

Staff amazing, premise of facility is great with the pools, dock hands, fuel, store, and restaurants. Problem is pool was rough..just loaded with leaves, and generally seemingly unmanaged, challenge of reservations at restaurants for transient slips prove to be unending. While the bubbling system is now running, the smell is tough with red tide or general sea rot. FOR THE PRICE, I give this a 2. Again, amazing staff and great potential..cost does not align with present state.

Bayfront Park, located on Longboat Key and managed by the city of Longboat Key, offers a thrilling experience for water enthusiasts. The park underwent a major renovation and now boasts various amenities such as a dog park, nautical-themed playground, fishing pier, and kayak launch area. Visitors can enjoy the scenic views of Sarasota Bay while making use of facilities like Wi-Fi, covered spaces with tables, and clean bathroom facilities.
One of the nicest parks on the Gulf side of Florida. They have Wi-Fi and covered space with tables so you can work with a beautiful view of the inter coastal while catching a fish or two on a break 😍. I’ve had manatee encounters and rarely is the park so busy you can’t find a spot to park. Serene, very clean and there are bathroom facilities with a beach access right across the street with a crosswalk to get you safely across. Great spot for a photo shoot with your vehicle as well.

Very nice small park on Longboat Key with benches in the shade and sun. There are very pleasant shorter loop trails, children’s playground and tennis courts. Picnic tables, fishing pier and a fenced in dog area. A great place to relax and watch the small boats go by. Plenty of parking and a restroom.

Ca' d'Zan, the winter residence of John and Mable Ringling, is a stunning mansion in Sarasota that exudes luxury and elegance. Built in 1924 by architect Dwight James Baum, this Mediterranean Revival mansion draws inspiration from the palazzos of Venice with its Venetian Gothic style architecture. The five-story waterfront mansion boasts 56 rooms filled with European influences and meticulous design.
Absolutely stunning! Ca’ d’Zan is a hidden gem that transports you straight to the opulence of the 1920s. From the moment you step onto the grounds, the mansion’s grandeur and intricate detail take your breath away. The Venetian-inspired architecture, the stained glass windows, and the sweeping views of Sarasota Bay are unforgettable. Walking through the rooms feels like stepping into a time capsule of elegance and luxury. The entire Ringling complex is impressive, but Ca’ d’Zan is truly the crown jewel. The self-guided tour was easy to follow and allowed us to take in every detail at our own pace. The staff were knowledgeable and passionate, adding depth to the experience. Whether you're a history buff, architecture lover, or just looking for something beautiful and unique, this is a must-visit. Five stars without a doubt!
George K — Google review
It was really nice! Beautiful view of Sarasota Bay and lovely building. It is $15 on top of general admission to see the first floor and I did find the viewing area a bit small. I wish I could have seen the second floor then it may have been five stars. Still really beautiful though!
Osolot W — Google review
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME RIGHT NOW. I drove over an hour to see this house, which you have to pay extra for. It is completely under construction. On the website they mention you can’t access the second floor right now, but nothing about the whole house being a construction zone. Not only do you only get to see half the house on the inside, you can’t even enjoy its beauty on the outside. Would not have drove and spent the money to check out if they would have been transparent on the state of the house. There is also a fence around the back side which is where everyone takes pictures. They should have reduced prices right now or mention on the website the whole house is wrapped in green plastic and metal fencing.

Went here on a Monday - also saw the circus and art museums. The mansion was relatively limited - a lot of areas were ripped off. Also there was no guided tour - only could do self guided audio tour option. That was a bit of a bummer. The mansion itself was insane. Crazy to see the wealth back in that day. Had no idea circus money was that big.
Tyler B — Google review
This a unique, historical and amazing place that everyone should visit. The architecture is phenomenal, the view of the Sarasota Bay and the surroundings areas so beautiful. The food in the restaurant was excellent!!
Luz K — Google review
The history of the place is one thing and is definitely worth listening to the audio tour. But the craftsmanship of the building, in and out along with the furniture and everything else. Just wow. The view of the water is absolutely astonishing too. Was sad only the first floor was open due to restorations. However, it just gives us an even better reason to come back in the future! And we plan to!
Nick L — Google review
Had such a fun experience exploring the Ringling Museum and the beautiful Ringling house (Ca' d'Zan)! The museum offers a great mix of art, history, and circus flair—it’s easy to spend hours wandering through the exhibits. The mansion itself is absolutely stunning, with gorgeous views of Sarasota Bay that are just breathtaking. It’s clear they’re still working to recover fully from the hurricane damage, but even so, the experience was wonderful. Hoping everything is restored soon—it’s truly a Florida gem worth visiting!

Chart House is a high-end chain restaurant that offers a classy setting with views and serves seafood and steakhouse fare. Located in Longboat Key, Florida, this waterfront restaurant provides a relaxing spot with dining room or terrace options overlooking the beautiful Gulf waters of Sarasota Bay. Known for its popular happy hour, creative drinks, tasty food, and great views, Chart House is praised by locals and visitors alike.
Excellent dinner. The savory shrimp pasta was hands down the best Scampi I have ever had. The prime rib was cooked to perfection. The grouper was also tasty. Mom said the lamb was ok. The chocolate lava cake was yummy even though it was over baked just a bit. No lava. Our server was wonderful even though she had several tables. We had a window table, and the view was gorgeous.

We arrived at 7pm on a Friday night with reservations and were immediately seated at a beautiful table overlooking the bay and bridge. It was our first visit and came to try out the restaurant during Savor Sarasota. We ordered the Caesar Salad, Salmon with Shrimp and Key lime pie. All were exceptional and very generous portions. Sadie our server was attentive during the entire evening and most importantly we never felt rushed leaving our beautiful view. We will definitely be back.

Excellent service from moment of arrival. Even though the restaurant was busy, the hostesses were so warm and accommodating. Our server, Craig was so nice and attentive and helped us with our selections. I really enjoyed the crab cake appetizer and the salmon for main course, also recommend the mango tuna avocado appetizer. Besides the top notch service, the restaurant itself, with warm tones and beautiful views of the Gulf, made the dining experience exceptional. Will be back.

We had dinner here. We were seated by the windows and that allowed us to enjoy the water view. Our server was nice. We had crab cakes, clam chowder soup, and Kim Chee Calamari for appetizers. For main dish we had, sea bass with mashed potatoes and asparagus. For dessert, we had a dish that brought 3 different flavor crème brûlée. Sangria and water. The crab cakes was tasteful. The clam chowder was okay, nothing to write home about and the same for the sea bass. The creme brûlée dessert was good, different flavors to suit different paletes. Overall, it's a nice restaurant with nice views. The food was okay.

Always a great time here with friends and family . Never have a bad meal or service A great place to celebrate your birthday . You get a copy of that days menu with recognition and they give you a delicious dessert with a candle Noah was our server . He was wonderful.,We wanted to pace out our dinner with the wine and salad bar before putting in the main entrees and he gave us plenty of time . We never felt rushed . We just need to remember to get there before our dinner reservation to enjoy Happy Hour prices . because quite a difference in pricing of drinks only available in bar area Had our usual , Salmon and Chicken Balsamica and the Farmers bar . ( The adding on of the salad bar with Entree has definitely gone up over the years ) But it's well worth it . The early bird menu is great and includes dessert . Which you might as well bring home after your 2-3 trips to the salad bar

Everyone told us Chart House was the upscale spot to go to on Longboat Key so we were expecting something more elevated when we walked in, but it felt very dated. That said, we did get a great seat at the bar with beautiful views of the water. We came for Happy Hour and that was definitely the highlight. Pomegranate Mojito: Super tasty, just delayed Firecracker Shrimp: Good and flavorful Crispy Spicy Tuna: Worth it to order, but not my favorite Prime Rib Sliders: Solid choice, would definitely order again Sunset Beets (regular menu): The pesto make it work, but otherwise it was a no for me. Cedar Plank Salmon (early dining menu): Came with a salad and lemon sorbet, both refreshing and tasty but the green beans and rice were a no for us. Service-wise, the bartender greeted us and was really polite, but it felt like we didn't get much attention after that - maybe because we ordered in waves, or maybe because the bar was just busy. Overall, Happy Hour was worth it for the price, the view, and a few standout bites but I don't think we'd come back.

Coquina Beach is a popular public swimming spot that attracts both locals and tourists with its serene and clean environment. The beach offers ample free parking, picnic tables, bathrooms, showers, and lifeguard stations for safety. Visitors can also enjoy the convenience of a seaside cafe serving breakfast, grilled food, drinks, and desserts. Spanning 22 acres, the beach features cabanas, play areas for kids, and a variety of amenities to cater to different preferences.
This is the nicest beach around Tampa area. I know that is a bold statement, but you're be the judge. Crisp sand, plenty of parking, great views and away from typical tourist. This is truly a gem worth checking out.
Konrad S — Google review
We love Coquina Beach because the distance between the parking area and the water is very short, which is handy for our family, especially with our son with special needs. There is a snack bar available if needed. The restrooms were destroyed in hurricane Milton last year - they have portable toilets, but the changing restrooms and cubicles they used to have were great - hoping they rebuild those. It is very busy at peak times, but there is a generous amount of parking all the way along the public beach area - but it is advantageous to come early. The beach is very shallow out to the buoys - maybe 12 feet or so at max. And there are lifeguards right there. The sand is great, but not quite as fine and white as Siesta Key, but it is still a beautiful beach.
Jason W — Google review
Great beach, not very busy. Amenities are ok. Plenty of parking! Sand isn’t as clean as other beaches close by.

As someone who is from the UK, believe me when I say that this beach is an absolute sight to behold. Me and my now wife got married here on the beach a couple of weeks ago and it couldn't have been any more picturesque. That sunset is mesmerising. Counting down the days till we can go back there.

Soft white sand beautiful water, plenty of lifeguards and patrols on side by sides. The small tiki bar and very small gift shop is perfect and the parking area is huge.
Amy M — Google review
One of the most beautiful beaches in the Sarasota area. Many parking spots but fills up fast on weekends and tourist season. Very peaceful, many bathrooms.
Adventure F — Google review
Coquina beach is perfection! The location was wonderful, the beach was well kept, clean bathrooms and ample parking. There are waves. The sunset viewing opportunity was amazing. Also, near downtown restaurants. Perfect beach!

Beautiful beach - The picnic tables and grill area were a huge plus for us! We cooked hot dogs and hamburgers, picnic table and trash can are right next to the grill. Parking was very close so we didn’t have to carry everything very far. Water temp- It’s the beginning of June. Extremely hot outside but the water felt great. There are a lot of choppy waves that my kids and mom found difficult to stay a float comfortably. Besides that 100% recommend!

We rented a 21’ Grady White center console for 3 days. They were extremely helpful in getting us out on the water from registration to return. The boat worked flawlessly and was clean at pick up. Cannon's was a lifesaver! Rented a 21' center console Grady White on short notice when one of the engines went down on our boat while we had friends in town. The rental process was seamless and the boat was beautiful. Live bait was available at the dock, so we were able to fill the livewell before heading out. Cannon's made it so we could still get out to fish and show our friends a great time while visiting! We would absolutely rent from Cannon's again and will recommend to anyone looking for a rental boat.

Steve S — Google review
My wife gave me a 90-minute massage with Maritza Rocha at Longboat Massage, LLC, for my birthday. I just finished the 90-minute therapy session, and it was the best birthday present I have received in years...maybe decades. My job and life are high pressured. So, there is a lot of tension in my muscles that hasn't been released in years. Maritza quickly diagnosed the tension issues and over the minutes of tension therapy she provided me, nearly all the tension was released. What wasn't released is so deep set into 1 muscle mass, that though she greatly reduced the tension at that location, I am going to have a 2nd session with her before I return home. She is an incredibly well-informed professional therapist who provided me important information on how to retain the benefits of the therapy she provided and how to lessen the tension and avoid the source of tension to better balance my body and mind. As my wife & I come to Longboat Key annually, and sometimes more frequently, I suspect Maritza's therapy will become part of our regular visits to Longboat Key. Thanks, Maritza! William Indiana

One of the best facets of the Longboat Key Club, whether you are a member or a guest, is the unassuming spa. I rarely go, but love the small intimate entry to the spa that is not frought with the typical wide spectrum of high-maintenance mandating open-air spaces. Instead, you can come just as you are... and you will still be greeted by down-to-earth caring staff through an intimate set of entries into a private room where you are gifted with an always therapeutic massage that can be adjusted according to your unique preferences . My favorite masseuse is Patty whose healing hands deliver a wonderful strategic touch. The staff is gracious and the premises are immaculate, quiet and peaceful.

Our ladies 9er's group played here for a Interclub event today. There were 14 different clubs who participated. The organizers did an excellent job. The breakfast buffet was just enough to get us going for playing on one of 3 different 9 hole courses. Some of the most exceptionally challenging holes are the small bridges built over waterways. The lush foliage & abundant bird life is indeed a pleasurable added attraction. The buffet lunch was most delicious but it was the Salmon with dill sauce that pleased me the most. Thanks for a wonderful golf day Longboat Key & we look forward to playing another day! Cheers, Nora Jean from Rosedale Golf & Country

Restaurant
Shore Longboat Key is a waterfront restaurant that opened in 2019, offering stunning views and plenty of outdoor seating. The menu features a variety of lunch and dinner options, including the popular Shore burger, Kung Pao calamari, Florida black grouper sandwich, and miso-marinated black grouper. There are also vegan options available such as the forest mushroom & black bean burger. Visitors can arrive by land or sea to enjoy the beachy ambiance while indulging in excellent food.
We popped into Shore for a quick sunset dinner & had a lovely time. To start, we had the tuna tartare which was so flavorful and fresh. For our mains, we had the lobster, shrimp and crab Cobb salad (delicious, so fresh and quite filling!), the som tam colossal crab salad, and the shrimp & scallop risotto. No complaints, we loved our meals and left feeling very full and content! Recommend booking a reservation in advance, not a place you can necessarily walk into expecting to get a table.
Jessica S — Google review
As locals, Shore is our go-to restaurant whenever we have visitors. While the menu is somewhat limited and portions lean on the smaller side, the food is consistently delicious. The service is never exceptional but never disappointing either—reliably average. The truffle fries are a standout—perfect for sharing and a must-try for the whole table. The atmosphere is the BEST - definitely recommend going around sunset!

Always one of our favorites. We arrive by boat and the dock hand is super supportive to start the experience off. Staff checking in is always friendly and quick. Food….AWESOME! We have dinned here ten plus times and have eaten the menu for the most part. They have now also closed in a good amount of the deck area so it is much more enjoyable for the FL Summers. Highly encouraged people to eat and drink here.

Jerell, our server gave us a fantastic experience and Cannan was very kind and caring too! Loved our entrees, apps and drinks! Thai gin martini, meat and cheese board and the featured rib eye were all fantastic. You can’t beat the setting either. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

This restaurant has a lot to offer: a beautiful location, an excellent selection of food, a cute store, and dedicated staff. Chris (our waiter) did a great job on advising us on our drinks and the main courses. He was very friendly, attentive and yet professional. Thank you for making our anniversary dinner a memorable experience.

Highly recommend the Buddha’s Hand cocktail and the Lobster, Shrimp & Crab Cobb Salad — both are amazing. Been here a few times now and it never disappoints. The views and open-air setup on a nice day are always a big vibe — perfect for relaxing by the water. Service is consistently friendly and attentive, and the drinks never miss. The seafood is super fresh and flavorful every time. One of those spots you just keep coming back to!

We had a wonderful experience here last night. It was my wife and I and our 2 year old daughter. They sat us right by the window where we were able to see some dolphins swimming out in the water. Nobody was judgmental about us having our young child in this nice restaurant. Our waiter, Steven, was probably the most attentive waiter we have ever had. He was thoughtful about everything, checked on us many times to make sure we had everything we needed and our daughter was good. He really seemed to care and asked questions about where we were from. He also made sure my steak was cooked perfectly and seemed ready to take it back in an instant if it wasn’t cooked well. I did the surf and turf and my wife ordered the shrimp and scallops risotto. Both were excellent, my ribeye was one of the best I have ever had. The lobster and crab Cobb salad was good but did not blow me away. Just seemed like something everyone was ordering. Overall phenomenal experience and would 100% go back, restaurant is beautiful, views were gorgeous, food was excellent, and Steven was fantastic!

The experience was excellent. We had two appetizers (ceviche & calamari) and both were incredibly fresh & flavorful. My wife had the Grouper & I had the filet mignon. Again, both were phenomenal. We finished off with the key lime pie & cheesecake for dessert. Our server (Deijah?) was polite, cheerful & had the correct amount of attentiveness. The view overlooking the water is icing on the cake, as they say!

We enjoyed the coastal tour! Alan was a great tour guide! Shared LOTS of information about the homes, the mangroves, the islands and the animals we could see (unfortunately we didn't see any). Beautiful weather and some beautiful pictures make for wonderful memories! Thank you Alan and Happy Paddlers for a great day!

We had a fantastic time kayaking on a Happy Paddler guided tour! Don't hesitate - book your spot now (yes, really!) Our guide, Jeff was helpful, thoughtful, and funny. He also easily rebooked us when the weather wasn't in our favor. We saw a ton of birds and fish, and had the pleasure of watching a mother dolphin teaching her baby how to hunt. We made friends with cormorants and had a good time exploring the beach and sandbar. We didn't get lucky enough to see a manatee, but maybe next time, Longbay is beautiful - we'll be back!

We rented kayaks from Longboat and had an amazing time! Saw manatees and dolphins up close! Docked the kayaks to walk around and swim at Greer Beach. Then headed to Mar Vista for some lunch! Perfect day on the water!

The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art is a state art museum established by the circus magnate, featuring 31 galleries housed in a pink Renaissance-style palace. Founded by John Ringling and his wife Mabel, the museum showcases over 10,000 items including European and American artworks, Asian art, contemporary pieces, decorative arts, and circus memorabilia. The building itself is an architectural attraction modeled after the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
If it's a cloudy Monday, you know where to go. Admission is free. Of course, some areas require a fee, but you decide based on what you like. For me, the circus museum is worth the basic $25 ticket price. It takes about 2 hours. Comfortable shoes are recommended, as there's a lot of walking involved. The building was inspired by the famous Italian city of Venice. The palace's style is Venetian Gothic. It was their home. Her gardens also indicate where she spent her time. The Ringling Circus performed shows all over America, traveling by train from one place to another, and was very famous. So, you decide on the tickets yourself, or whether to immerse yourself and decide later.
Maria K — Google review
Thinking this is just a museum dedicated to the circus wrong. of course there is circus memorabilia in two buildings that take you back to your childhood, but there is also the mansion from John and Mabel Ringling, and there is also an art museum with some of the most incredible paintings You have seen in the most amazing building. The property is lush and beautiful. I highly recommend a visit.

My husband and I visited here earlier in the year it was such a cool experience. So much beautiful art, history, lovely gardens, and so much more. This is the kind of place you wander around all day long. The banyan trees are the largest we’ve ever seen in FL. It was kind of disappointing that the rose garden was under construction but I guess we’ll just have to come back again. The staff were all helpful and shared lots of cool information. The cafe was cute but a little over priced so we decided not to eat there. Thank you for an amazing time. This is a great spot to take cool pictures. We were very impressed by the miniature circus.
Hannah H — Google review
This place has so much richness to offer! Ensure to leave yourself ample time to enjoy the entire 65 acres of this Museum. The garden is beautiful and so is the 🎭 🖼️ building. The circus 🎪 history. Great place if you're an arts enthusiast. Bonus: catch the sunset on Thursdays they close at 8PM last photo!
Sterling O — Google review
The museum and grounds are stunning. The lovely art is displayed in beautiful grand rooms. Docent Larry was ever so knowledgeable about the history of John Ringling . Jody, another kind docent, a true look a like to Julia Roberts, the actress , was so friendly , as well. The museum has so much to see and read about the art, a true memorable experience. A must “ go to” if you are in Florida… bring the kids, let them view art and learn some history, then they can run around on the playground near the rose gardens. Try to go near sunset, like on Thursday’s 5’O Clock deal… and capture a picture as the sunsets with the Greek garden sculptures are in full view.

Loved this place. There is a lot to do here. We ran out of time. It is set in a beautiful garden but there is a lot of renovation going on at the moment. Our favourite bit was the circus. It was fun to learn about the history and the miniature circus was just amazing.

Beautiful 66 acre property with museum, art gallery, castle and manicured grounds. Bring your walking shoes because you will definitely get all of your steps in for the day. To see it all plan to spend at least 5 or more hours here. Highly recommended. 👍🏽 🤡 🎪🤹🎠
MrsNikoleMD — Google review
We were there for 3 hours! So much to see! Amazing 🤩. The only let down was the Ca' d'Zan house. They charge extra to go there but you cannot go to the second floor currently, and they don't say it upfront....you find out when you get there! Charging full price to see half the house is dishonest...let people know upfront and let them decide. Despite that, the grounds were beautiful, the museum art was stunning ✨ and the circus museums were so fun and interesting to look at and learn the history of the circus 🎪.

Marie Selby Botanical Gardens Downtown Sarasota is a 7-acre bayside showcase for tropical plants, featuring a conservatory and garden museum. It is dedicated to the research of orchids, epiphytes, and bromeliads. The gardens boast premier collections of native and tropical plants, trees, mosses, and colorful outdoor gardens.
This was one of the most beautiful botanical gardens I've been to in Florida, I had a wonderful time. There's a greenhouse with plants at the front, and it leads to an outdoor area with more plants and a cafe. The cafe was wonderful, they have flatbread, salads, tea, and more. They have some huge trees near the cafe that I personally thought were really cool. At the time I went, there was a George Harrison event that was themed like his album All Things Must Pass, and it was wonderful. There's a museum in the garden, and they had an exhibit all about Harrison and really beautiful photography. If you follow the path, there's a restaurant at the end. It has a very nice vibe and good service. Overall a wonderful experience, and I would come again.

Beautiful place to be. The parking is easy to navigate and there is a small gift shop below the garage. I explored the gardens and there were many butterflies out. There was a little cafe on the property and the women working the counter was very kind. There is a beautiful banyan tree with bridges and things for children to play with like musical instruments. There is a lovely gazebo where it looks as though wedding as held inside with stained glass above which was very pretty. A peaceful place to walk 🌺.

We went to see the orchids and were duly impressed. The display was very nicely done. When my wife and I went to the intriguing exhibit by Rebecca Louise Law unfortunately, being sensitive to fragrances, I could not enjoy the display. We toured the rest of the grounds at a leisurely pace and enjoyed the shade and cool ocean breezes. Absolutely amazing place. The flora is exceptional.

So the grounds were beautiful, not up exactly to par with the Naples botanical garden. But a lot of great photo opportunities! This was one of the best restaurants we ate at. Everything was great. The food was above average!! The Service was fantastic!! Several of the workers stopped and talked to us. We set on the deck overlooking the water. This is a must if you are near the area. The sunset on the water is a must see.

What an incredible meal! The Old Salty Dog is always a must-visit whenever we're in Florida, and this trip was no exception. We finally tried the loaded Old Salty Dog, and I deeply regret not ordering it sooner. It absolutely lives up to the hype and is a game-changer. The atmosphere was perfect. We sat right by the water, which made for a beautiful and relaxing experience. The kids had a blast too, enjoying their meals along with a delicious strawberry smoothie. They also loved the freebie that came with their food and were so excited to take it home. On top of that, the peel and eat shrimp were out of this world—fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The staff was also incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. We'll be back again and again!

We had a stunning lunch here. Everything was super fresh and crisp. Neat lobster roll I’ve had in a long time and their sweet potato fries were delicious. Service was friendly and super attentive. Robbie was so sweet and great at serving us. We saw a manatee swimming right by us and lots of fish, jelly fish and dolphins in the distance. Amazing location for the perfect relaxing lunch on the water.
Lesley G — Google review
We absolutely love this Old Salty Dog location near St. Armands Circle in Sarasota. The restaurant is waterfront and right next to a marina/boat yard and marine center. There are always boats being launched, refueling, or just cruising by. On a sunny day, it is a perfect waterfront spot in Sarasota to boat watch. The Pelicans are always swooping for fish and putting on a show for restaurant guests. You can also occasionally see jelly fish, we just saw a couple hundred swimming by on our last visit. Rain or shine, Old Salty Dog is always worth a visit. The patio gets the perfect amount of sun on a sunny day with light sun shades, a gulf breeze, and the perfect sunset back drop. On rainy days, you might have to wait a minute for an inside table or seat at the bar because they stay busy, but it is worth the wait. As the name implies, they are known for their deep fried hot dogs and dog bites which are always a favorite. The burgers also hit the spot for a change up and the seafood doesn’t disappoint. If you’re looking for a frozen drink on a hot day, a delicious rum runner, or just a beer they have something for everyone. The parking lot gets full pretty quick with limited spaces while they are working on the building next door, but additional lots are across the street and a short 2 minute walk. We’d highly recommend Old Salty Dog for a casual waterfront restaurant in Sarasota with good food, good drinks, and the ability to come in your swim suit by boat or car.

You cannot beat food right by the water. We both enjoyed a grouper sandwich, mine was blackened. My wife's was fried in a tempura like beer batter. Both were absolutely delicious, shared some regular fries and some sweet potato fries. The service was quick, there were a couple of local beers on tap. And whatever you do, do not skip the key lime pie!

If you want the beach vibe while eating dinner this is the place for it. If you imagine having a drink with the weather breeze blowing on you then look no further. Sitting there while a boat floats by, a pelican lands 10 ft from you, and seeing a rainbow was amazing. The food wasn't amazing, but the atmosphere makes up for it. I got a hamburger and an order of the Salty dog nuggets. I had a wonderful time eating here.

I would love to stop back when I come back to the area.

The lobster bisque was scrumptious and the grilled grouper sandwich was also plentiful and delicious.Would definitely recommend stopping in for a great bite to eat!

We went to Lazy Lobster last night for dinner. It’s in a small strip mall on the main drag of Longboat Key. The restaurant has a small bar area and indoor dining, but the patio is where it’s at. It’s secluded and doesn’t even feel like it’s on the street. We waited in the bar with cocktails for a table on the patio. Just because you make reservations you’re not guaranteed a patio table. My husband had a Kentucky Bourbon cocktail and I had the blood orange margarita with salt around the rim. His drink was fantastic, mine was lacking the blood orange flavor as you can see by the color of the drink. Our server was Reina, and she was friendly and engaging and made good suggestions. I was between two entrées and was happy she suggested the lobster dish. We shared the fried clam strips as a starter. They were so light and crispy but still moist, yummy. I loved how they were served with a yummy tartar sauce and in a paper sleeve. Hubby had the potato crusted grouper and I had to go with a lobster dish because, well, we were at Lazy Lobster after all. I went with an old school dish, the lobster thermidor. So delish! Both of our dishes were delicious. The vegetable we chose was brussels sprouts, but I didn’t like them as they were not roasted to a nice caramelization even though I requested them to be well done and charred. I left them on my plate. One of the owners was so hands-on while we were there, clearing plates, making sure everybody was satisfied and saying hello. I really like that. I would recommend Lazy Lobster for sure. Be patient and wait for the patio, though. It only took about 30 minutes to be seated outside. Make reservations, too. I took away a point for the blood orange margarita and the brussels sprouts I didn’t eat.

Good food, good location. We were seated before our 4:45 reservation (phone in for reservation). You Can’t miss this cheery bright yellow building. Early dining (3:30-5) menu has reduced prices on select items. Happy hour at that time as well. Lobster dish selections were delicious, key lime pie very good. A lovely shaded garden with patio furniture and rainbow umbrellas to enjoy. More traditional seating inside with small bar and also an airy waiting area. Our server was pleasant and very efficient. Great service! The lobster bisque and clam chowder are tops!! Any entree is special. All the shrimp dishes are perfect. The owner is pleasant and asks about the meal every time! Thank you for your community service too.

We were able to snag a last minute reservation on our day of arrival on LBK. I wasn't really sure of the vibe or quality of food from the reviews due to words like "family friendly", casual, and fried food. Anyway, I LOVE lobster so i thought it was worth a shot. What a lovely surprise! Very pretty calm quiet dining room with appropriately attentive wait staff. A nice menu with plenty of variety and definitely not all fried food. I hot the lobster tacos, grilled and I was so pleased! It was a huge portion with lovely sauce and a garden salad. My husband got the bourbon salmon which was equally delicious. We were very pleased and enjoyed a lovely dinner in a lovely atmosphere. I highly recommend this little local spot for a surprising wonderful dining experience!

Note: I an 77 years old and have never given a negative restaurant review. Nice place and service was great however, food and price not so good. I had the 1lb lobster stuffed with crab meat ($74). The lobster was overcooked leaving the claws dried out and I am still chewing on the rubbery tail. Not much crab stuffing. My wife had lobster mac & cheese and said that much of the lobster was chewy. ($49) - we shared the lobster escargot which was good. The lobster bisque was okay but we have had better for less. Final bill for 2 with 20% tip (good service) $192 and I took the bread home because I was still hungry.

Some entrances are closer to the food court, others It will be a further walk, The food area is called lido grill with good quality food and a nice bathroom area. The water is clear/ light green color, sand is white a little shelly but beautiful, clean beach not usually too overpacked. I even came here during the Christmas and holiday time, and it was not too bad. Nothing compared to how crammed siesta key beach is, also holiday parking is free here and they have parking along the street as well as a parking area that can sometimes be free or low cost. Also, for those who might need wheelchair accessibility, there is not a flat pad to get one to the beach on a regular wheelchair, but there is a flat area by the water that I saw individuals with motorized wheelchairs for the beach that they were using on the flat area by the water.

The Marietta Museum of Art & Whimsy in Sarasota is a vibrant and cheerful gallery dedicated to celebrating the creative human spirit through whimsical art. Founded by artist Marietta Lee, this museum features an eclectic collection of contemporary paintings, sculptures, and mixed-media artwork that exude brightness and color. The outdoor sculpture garden adds to the playful atmosphere with unique installations like hanging simians and a giant flamingo wearing a top hat.
So much fun to visit with my sisters, especially the artsy one. I had visited here a few years ago, but this time my sister pointed out things I had missed and gave me much more insight. My other sister loves cats, so she was in heaven. Interestingly, at the end, we asked each other what our favorite piece was, and we both said the same thing - the multi-colored glass flowers at the entrance!

I have over 100 pics but they wouldn't load. Highly recommend visiting this whimsical wonderland. It is donation based. Check hours before you go. Well worth the trip. You can easily spend 4 hours here.

In my research of things to do indoors in the area this popped up and it did not disappoint!! Wonder and detail at every turn. A true gem! The volunteers are passionate about sharing stories with you which I loved. It was a true joy to explore this place and admire something at every twist and turn!

If you're into art and/or whimsy as art...and who isn't...you should not miss this place! There is a very short visiting "window" ...Thanksgiving to Memorial Day, Thursday-Saturday, 1:00 - 4:00 Free, donations accepted.

I decided to come here as I was browsing places to visit while on vacation. It was really cool and there's a lot to see and sadly I didn't get to see everything because it was so pact my anxiety took over and I got overwhelmed and had to leave my visit earlier than I had expected. I did take a lot of photos, but since I was solo, I wasn't able to take a lot of selfies with my favorite arts. Some of the volunteers were super friendly, and others were not. They do request a $10 donation, and of course, children are free. 🙄 Definitely look in the bathrooms as there's more artistic stuff inside as well as the parking lot. Downside of this visit was the children and them being disrespectful to the art and signs that say do not climb 😒 This is exactly why I feel children and their guaridans who don't follow simple requests of signs posted in areas belong at art museums. If I ever get to come back to Sarasota and this place will be open, I hope to come back and visit and maybe prepare my visit more since I know now that it gets pact. The upside would be opening one day a week for adults only.

Well, I have to admit, this museum has whimsy! Not very large. Loved the sculptures and interesting art choices. Loved all the flowers in the sculpture area. Donation request at welcome desk.

Quite possibly the most fantastical, whimsical, mixed-medium art museum on the East Coast. Small, yet every square inch is packed full of majestic and magnificent pieces provided by a slew of local artists, each and every one of whom show immense talent and craftsmanship in their works. No wall is left bare, no corner left colorless. An overwhelming rush of visual sensation. I described it to my family, who were unfortunately not attending the gallery alongside me, as "jumping into my childhood toy box," with all my mixed pieces and gizmos mashed in a colorful display of artistic excellence. It's beautiful, a maximalists fever dream, an "I Spy" book personified. The volunteers are sweet, informative and extremely charming. They'll be happy to provide you with any information you need, as well as the unique history of the museum. Marietta herself is a gracious and engaging host, talkative and conversational. If you'd like an in-depth understanding of any particular piece, or all of them, ask her! She provides wonderful conversation and is a pleasant presence to boot. If you have the opportunity, visit for yourself. It really must be experienced in person. Pictures could never do the fantastical, whimsical nature of this place justice.

We loved this elcetic and uplifting art museum. There are exhibits both indoor and out that are worth seeing. Entry to the museum is free, while a reasonable donation is requested.

Florida Studio Theatre is a vibrant live theater complex located in downtown Sarasota, housed in a historic women's club. The complex features multiple stages where you can catch a variety of performances including plays, musicals, cabaret programs, and improv shows. With three intimate theaters, FST presents professional and high-quality productions as part of its Mainstage Series and Cabaret Series. For those seeking more contemporary and daring plays, the black-box Urbanite Theatre is also part of the complex.
Saw a GREAT performance of Jersey Boys with former student Nick Fernandez in lead role . Nicecsetting and staff

When you get their subscription, you can see a bunch of shows for a very reasonable price. It’s super easy (and free) to switch shows if something comes up and your plans change. The shows are geared toward the retired community so younger adults may not enjoy the clientele as much as. Personal, I enjoy the shows and easy two block walk to get there.

This is an incredible theater complex with a wide selection of scripted and improvised theater. I am always amazed at how much they can do and how smoothly it all runs behind the scenes. As an audience member and performer on their stages I have seen both sides and I am always impressed. You must see a show at FST while you're in town!

FST IS A wonderful organization that features several different venues. Our daughter, Carole J. Bufford, has been fortunate to have been booked for several different residencies for different Cabaret shows over the last several years. We love attending here not only to see her, but other attractions as well. Also, it's definitely an easier trek for us than NYC, where she normally originates and performs her shows! We are so looking forward to our upcoming visit during the last week of this month!

Lucky Stiff, a musical farce now playing until December 28,2025. Based on the book “The Man Who Broke the Bank in Monte Carlo”, was off Broadway in 1988. Also played in London’s West End in 1997. Very funny with a great cast. If you like farces, you’ll like this play at the Gompertz Theater at FST. Don’t Dress for Diner is a very funning farce by Marc Campletti who also wrote Boeing Boeing. Well acted with good costumes, scenic design. This play is in the Gompertz Theater and runs through August 24. Highly recommend this very funny production about a romantic weekend that goes wrong and turns chaotic and confusing. Dorothy’s Dictionary by E M Lewis at the Gompertz theater through August 10. A troubled high school student is assigned community service reading to a blind librarian in a nursing home develop an unlikely friendship. The two create a bond through the power of words and literature. I recommend this heartwarming story lasting 60 minutes. Dames at Sea running through July 6, 2025. A story about an aspiring young dancer from Utah who gets off a bus with only her tap shoes. Ruby is hopeful for a part on Broadway and lands a small role in a Broadway musical with help from a songwriting sailor. The deva Mona starring in the musical is unable to play her part and gives up her starring role. However , the theater suddenly closes and there is no place to put on their show. But it all works out in the end. Very good acting, singing and tap dancing. A fun play at the Gompertz theater. Bowne’s Lab is currently featuring a thoughtful and amusing play by Brent Askari, a PersianAmerican actor and playwright. The play is about a self help book friend/author who shows up at a couple’s apartment. As they critique the book, everything goes terribly wrong. The play is amusing and thoughtful. The performances by the 3 actors are excellent. Amanda Kristin Nichols is outstanding. Most performances are well done here at FST. Their current offering is the 2015 play “The Outsider” by Paul Slade Smith. This play is relevant to today’s political environment. A satirical look at unqualified candidates for political office who only answer questions with vague platitudes. If you like plays like Moliere’s “Tartuffe”, you may enjoy this very amusing farce. The production and actors are excellent. Continues through August 25th. Florida Studio Theater is now featuring the very funny and outlandish play about a “person eating plant” gone berserk and a sadistic dentist and his girlfriend. Little Shop of Horrors cast does an excellent job on this 2003 Broadway play based on several films starting in 1960. This is a must see running through January 14, 2024.

We purchased our 4 tickets online to reserve our spot. The location was within walking distance from my hotel. Our server Danny was wonderful. He was able to bring our cocktails without interrupting the show. Many people were eating entrée and dessert. I was not aware of the menu, but I did arrive minutes before the show started. My friend was a judge, and I was part of the show. It was such a blast. Ms. Jasmine was my character, and I loved every minute on the stage. The show was amazing, fun, and unpredictable. Kyle, Sarah, and Kevin had me laughing all night. It was the best date night!

SURFER BOYS! this was the August 6 performance . This might have been my favorite show. we just love FST and honestly have enjoyed every performance, Service is wonderful, food is surprisingly VERY good. i recommend the Southwestern salad. they put a few fried avocado balls on the top. yummy. but getting back to this performance, the singers were unbelievable, their wonderful performance has stuck with me. each voice was as good as the other. their harmony and energy and talent was just as good as it gets. i love the beach Boys and every song they sang. what especially struck us was their encore songs which included a Les miserable song and a very lovely tribute to our servicemen and country. I was truly moved. thank you.

Save Our Seabirds is a non-profit organization located near the Mote Marine Aquarium in Florida. The facility is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing injured and orphaned birds. Visitors can take a tour of the sanctuary, meet some of the resident birds, and learn about their conservation efforts. It's an educational opportunity to understand more about local bird species and how to contribute to their preservation.
This is a very cool bird rescue that runs on just donations, meaning you get to enjoy it for free but can choose to donate! Right beside Mote Aquarium, it’s super convenient. Don’t skip this on your trip!

Free to public, they are not a zoo but an active rehabilitation center. The birds available for viewing are unable to be released into the wild and act as ambassadors. Staff are welcome questions and are passionate in their mission. There are restrooms and a small gift shop. Paths are wheelchair accessible but do need some work at the moment. Consider donating. It’s continently located near Mote Marine’s Manatee rescue facility. Parking is free.

This is an amazing, FREE animal attraction for the entire family located directly across from the new Mote aquarium! All of the employees were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. There was one gentleman working there yesterday (I forgot to ask his name) who personally took my family and I around to each enclosure and introduced the birds by name. From Helios the bird who rang like a telephone the second you stepped away from his cage, to Gabby the umbrella cockatoo who knows 50+ words and engaged me in a conversation! As I mentioned this place is completely FREE all you pay for is souvenirs & drinks/snacks, so PLEASE consider making a donation to them or purchasing something in support! Such a wonderful place for family members of ALL ages! I would highly recommend stopping here if you ever find yourself in Sarasota, it’s truly a once in a lifetime experience.

This is an incredible place. They take in about 1000 birds a year, rehabilitating most and keeping the rest that cannot be in the sanctuary. There are a wide variety of birds, and the volunteers are very knowledgeable. I'd highly recommend a visit and any support you can offer their mission.

Not part of the aquarium, but a separate center. Free admission for all. Rehabilitation center for local birds that would not make it on their own in nature, including hawks, parrots, egrets, and pelicans. At noon (at least on Sundays) they feed the pelicans and the staff gives you a really good overview of the center and of the pelicans. Probably takes around 45 minutes to explore. Everything is outdoors.

Great organization with a dedicated staff. As a volunteer for "friends of the pelicans," bringing injured seabirds to them is so reassuring that they will get the treatment they need. Please donate what you can

While the museum itself is not open yet, still undergoing construction from last year's hurricane season, the staff are still there holding workshops on the covered deck. I was really impressed with the friendliness of the staff as well as the knowledge. The workshop I attended was called 'Saving Your Stuff.' It was a lot of great information, and they even encouraged us to put on gloves and try to save some materials they had intentionally 'destroyed'.

It is home to a variety of plant and animal life, including mangrove trees, marshland, and dune vegetation. The preserved area offers trails for walking and biking, boardwalks for exploring the wetlands, and a viewing platform with views of the Gulf of Mexico and Sarasota Bay.
This was a cool little spot. Trails were quick, but offered quite a bit of florida nature to see. We saw manatees at one of the lookouts, many birds, and a wide variety of plants and trees. We walked the whole thing in about 40 minutes.

Nice little trail with several board walk lookouts on the main loop and a slight incline/hill in the middle of the loop with lookout points. The main trail is a flat gravel loop with benches throughout. Depending on when you go, the majority of the loop is in the sun while the board walk lookouts are shaded, so keep that in mind and bring water. Overall, great spot to stop for a quick and easy walk with pretty views!

We got to experience a nature variety on this walk, including mangroves, seeing fish, watching crabs cross over the trails, and even dolphin watching on the coastline decks. The trails were easy to walk. We spent a little over an hour walking much of the area. It was a great little nature walk!

After paying the required fees, my artwork was either not displayed at all or not promoted in any meaningful way. Communication was poor, and the support I expected simply did not materialize. It has become clear that this gallery prioritizes collecting fees from emerging artists rather than genuinely helping them succeed. It's a Gallery of artist exploitation.

If you're considering exhibiting here, skip it. There's no notice to pick up art after an exhibition--no phone calls, no e-mails, nothing. I called to ask because we had received no notice, and they told us ASAP in the middle of the work week. I said I would get down before the week's end. I made time the next day to drive out of town, and can you believe we were charged $5 to pick up artwork that we already paid to submit? They made no mention of a late charge over the phone and when we had no pick up time, either. I bet they spent less on the ribbon for the award.

Underrated park on Lido Key. To get there head north from Lido to Longboat Key. You will come to a traffic light, turn right onto Ken Thompson Parkway. Go till it dead ends at Sarasota Bay. Has a small playground, clean restroom, picnic tables, and a few grills. Plenty of parking. Nice place to take dogs as there is a large grassy area and some trails. The beach, if you call it that, is full of ugly sea shells….however you can definitely swim there (but wear some water shoes).

The area also features picturesque trails for hiking and opportunities for beach activities like canoeing, kayaking, and beach volleyball at South Lido Beach.
Beautiful! We went kayaking through the mangrove tunnels with our own kayaks but there are tons of rentals and even tours for hire. The country maintains the tunnels, and each tunnel is clearly marked. Because of this, it's not a completely natural experience, but really for this traveler it was. I appreciated the basic trail maintenance. The area is clean and well taken care of by guests and the county.

Our family has a fantastic day at the beach here. We arrived around 9ish am and got a nice spot at the beach and really took advantage of the many shells that were ashore. There’s quite a lot of parking space so if you don’t want to arrive early to secure a spot, you won’t have to. This park also has a variety of amenities; showers, kayak launch, bathrooms, kids playground, picnic tables, nature trail. The day of our visit, the water was super clear and it was the perfect weather for boating so they were pretty much everywhere, oh and jet skis too. Overall, it’s a beautiful beach and great park to spend all day. Highly recommend it.

Me and my family went Kayaking here yesterday and it was awesome. The water through the mangrove tunnels were no deeper then 5ft and crystal clear. We saw tons of fish, different types of birds, crabs in the trees, a large jellyfish, a small starfish by the beach and a momma and baby manatee. Definitely the most sealife we've seen in a single trip. We would definitely come back again.

Beer Can Island, also known as Greer Island, is a low-key sandbar with a rustic and powdery beach that's perfect for picnics and parties. Accessible primarily by boat, it offers a secluded setting between Anna Maria Island and Long Boat Key. The island features soft, smooth sand, beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico, natural and man-made art installations, pier access for fishing enthusiasts, and an abundance of seashells.
WOW! This is such an excellent place to be. Don't miss out on this beautiful location. There is not a lot of parking, but it's worth the work just to be here!
Samantha B — Google review
Stumbled across this beautiful area last year and have returned again this season. Subject to tide tables your experience will be based on those.
JL W — Google review
Gorgeous beach! This is truly a one of a kind hidden gem that feels secluded from other beaches but with gorgeous and clean water. The water is pure green. Watch out where you step as there are branches everywhere. Don’t forget your towels as there is no lifeguard or service on the beach.
Klim K — Google review
Pretty sweet beach for a walk/hike. Not what I would consider a beach to lay out and sun bath... A cool trail through some of the thick brush leads to an opening where I saw a camp fire and some people just hanging out... If you walk far enough you'll eventually come out to the bay side. Good place for shell hunting and some nice driftwood...
Colin F — Google review
Amazing place, so serene, love the trees, and very few people! And beautiful sunset right off the island!
J J — Google review
Beautiful secluded beach with limited parking spots! This is the place to go if you want to visit a quiet beach away from the crowds. The sand was very similar if not better than Siesta Key!
K S — Google review
This is probably the coolest beach I've ever been to. Parking is definitely limited but you can park throughout a nearby neighborhood. If you walk the main beach down toward the pass you come across what looks like a driftwood jungle. It's so photogenic. There tend to be photographers here taking maternity and family portraits etc. It's a great place to hang out and watch the sunset
Diane R — Google review
You don't have to have a boat to get on this Island as stated below in the reviews. If your heading towards Long Boat Key cross the bridge and take the first right, follow it all the way to the end. There is a small parking area and trail to Beer Can. Gorgeous, and plenty sea shells! Very nice and secluded. There is a bit of a walk but if you like not having alot of people around you then this is the perfect spot between Anna Maria Island and Long Boat Key. There is also a fishing pier there. I love going here every time I visit Zota Beach Resort.

Such a great little spot to go with kids. The course is simple but challenging and fun for all ages. With a candy shop right next door, it's a great post game spot to stop or get an award for winning the round in your group.

Neat little mini golf establishment. Course is compact and pretty easy. We played through in 30 Mins. The pond in the center of the course is full of koi and another with turtles. It's a fun stop if your in the area .

Very fun, small, but we had a great time! We had kids from age 7-17 and they all enjoyed themselves. Misters were amazing! Cool coi fish pond and turtles swimming.

A cool little mini golf place! It’s mostly shaded and has misters to help keep you cool. It’s a unique place that we had lots of fun playing.

My family had a wonderful time golfing on this fabulous course. The owner was sweet enough to let us take a picture of him with my grandson. He works hard to maintain the lovely water features, fish and tropical plants on his he 18 hole golf course. Truly a labor of love!! Do not miss this hidden gem. We are looking forward to golfing on our next family adventure!

Cute little activity to do! Very hot/humid so be prepared but it is all shaded.

Just a nice little spot nestled in the heart of a busy shopping districts. Great break for the kids and adults with some mindless entertainment in a picturesque setting. Course is small but challenging even for adults and well maintained. Give it a try for a relaxing break.
Jim E — Google review
I enjoyed this Miniature Golf course built between two buildings. It is compact, but still challenging. While walking the course between the holes are views of live fish and turtles. The holes are actually complicated because they have tiny bumps and curves. Recommend for the family of all ages. The staff were friendly and helpful. At the end of the 18 holes you have a chance to win a free game.

I look forward to returning to fish. The other fishermen were very friendly. It was a very pleasant environment. I wasn't planning on going there so, I didn't have the tackle I needed. Even though I didn't catch anything it was very relaxing and enjoying.

Exit Art is a unique boutique that offers a diverse range of products, including funky home decor, quirky accessories, simple yet distinctive jewelry, and stylish clothing such as shirts, dresses, and jeans. The store is known for its exceptional customer service, with the owner Debbie going above and beyond to assist customers without being pushy. Customers have praised the personalized follow-up emails and seamless resolution of shipping issues.
I’ve picked up a few pieces in person (all jewelry) when I was living in the area. Now currently live in Boston so I don’t get to go in person but have placed serval orders recently since I’m on a bit of a jewelry kick over the last year. My first online order was last summer. I was so excited to get new pieces from the store. Then the next day I found out I was going out of town for work for a few weeks. Bummed that I wouldn’t be able to bring my new items with me. I sent an email just asking if there was anyway they would make it before I left. Debbie to time to call me and tell me no fears she would get them right out. Two days later I was on a plane with my new sparkles. Top notch customer service every time. Jewelry that is a bit different and out of the box in the best way. I’ve been rocking my link chains for over 10 years now and have no plans of stopping anytime soon.
Jackie T — Google review
I am not a person to write reviews however my interaction with Exit Art and the owner Debbie along with Debra was so far beyond what a consumer should experience I felt it was necessary and a duty. I was in from out of town and stopped by their store as part of a leisure walk with a friend. I ended up finding $450 worth of clothing and paid to have it shipped directly to my home with the help of Debra. After two weeks of not receiving my purchase I called the store. The owner Debbie was not able to find my order and said she would look into it and call me back. After several days of no response I called back. No one was able to find my order and they had planned to reconstruct my order from their copy of the receipt. Over the next week and after a series of several confusing phone calls I was told that my order was being shipped to me minus one of the pants I had picked out because they no longer had the pants. I received my order yesterday and not surprisingly it was not correct. I called to talk with Debra about my order being wrong, again, and was met with an attitude and arrogance. As a business owner myself I find it saddening that consumers have to experience this amount of incompetence and disregard in the marketplace today. If you are on vacation in Longboat Key and want to have a nice relaxing stroll through their local stores, I highly recommend you pass on browsing through Exit Art.
Jacki P — Google review
Unique boutique that has a little bit of everything- funky home decor and quirky home accessories. Simple jewelry that has the right touch of "a twist" to make the piece stand out. Some clothing (shirts, dresses, jeans). The ladies that work there are so fun and happy to help as well! Very fun store

Have been coming to Longboat for many years. Snowbird Parents condo. Right door to Exit Art. Always love shopping there. Beautiful unique clothing and jewellery and wonderful hair clips fill my suitcase for the trip home :).
Annemette J — Google review
I cannot say enough about how pleased I was with the customer service received! There had been a mix up regarding shipping due to a postal strike in Ontario Canada and my item was mistakenly returned to the store. A simple phone call and before I knew it the items were re shipped to me, no questions asked. I even received a personal follow-up email giving me details of the new shipment. They truly go above and beyond. Also, the packaging and items ordered were beautiful.Truly a boutique experience.
Amanda M — Google review
Debbie, the owner, really got me to step out of my comfort zone. She gave great suggestions without being pushy. The merchandise is nice quality. I got tops on my first visit and I will soon go back for another visit for Debbie's suggestion on pants.
Louise P — Google review
Whomever the buyer is at Exit Art, next to the Chart House restaurant, has fabulous taste. You will be amazed at the design and quality of everything, from distinctive jewelry to amazing sportswear. The owner is always there to assist you without being pushy. Give it a try. June ROSNER. Chgo.

Amazing Pirate-Themed Playground & Bay Views! (Bayfront Park, Sarasota) We had such a fantastic day at Bayfront Park today, especially the incredible playground! I brought my 10-year-old daughter, and she absolutely loved the pirate and sea adventure theme—it's so creative and much more engaging than a standard park. Highlights for us: Unique Pirate Ship Playground: The shipwreck structure (like the one with the green sea serpent tail!) and the high lookout crow's nest were a huge hit. It really sparks imaginative play. Fantastic Shade: The large, sail-like shade structures cover the play area really well, which is essential for a sunny Florida day. Beautiful Scenery: The playground is right on Sarasota Bay, and the views are gorgeous! We even got to watch a pelican making a dive (just like in the video!) out on the water. Fun Details: I loved the little touches, like the alligator and bobcat statues near the entrance—they add a great local Florida flavor to the design. Great for Parents: Plenty of benches for seating, and the overall area felt very clean and well-maintained. This park is a must-visit if you're in Sarasota with kids. It offers great play, stunning views, and a unique theme. We can't wait to come back and try the splash pad when the weather is warmer!

Small but lovely waterfront Park in downtown Sarasota. Clean, safe, and great for a short walk after a beach day. There’s a nice playground for kids, yachts at the marina, and O’Leary’s Tiki Bar & Grill nearby for snacks or drinks. The famous dolphin fountain sculpture - “Dolphin Fountain” wasn’t working in October 2025, but sunset views here are beautiful!
Yuliia P — Google review
This place is really cool. My daughter and I had a great time. The park is clean, the veins are great and if it was warmer out the smash pad would have been a great place to cool off for the kiddo

Catholic church
St Mary Star of the Sea Church is a charming place of worship with a warm and inviting priest and congregation. While not a member, many attend mass here when in town. The pastor delivers engaging lectures, providing spiritual and historical context to the day's readings. He also encourages contributions for disadvantaged parishes within the diocese and supports those in need in the community. The music director possesses an exquisite voice, leading hymns that are truly delightful to listen to.
Wonderful church. Father Robert is an excellent inspirational orator well-versed in the meaning of Scripture. Go here. It will renew your faith in God and Jesus. Take the boardwalk through the forest behind the church to the bay: memorial garden and stations of the cross.

Lovely church with very welcoming priest and parishioners. Not a member, but always attend mass here when in town. The pastor is a great lecturer, explaining the day's readings in spiritual and historical contexts. He also promotes donations and assistance for the less fortunate parishes in the diocese, as well as the needy in the community. The music director has a beautiful voice and is a joy to listen to as she leads the congregation in hymns. Highly recommend for Catholics and non Catholics alike. A lovely way to start Sunday morning!
