Interstate State Park is a picturesque riverside park located in Taylors Falls, Minnesota. The park offers a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking among old lava flows and glacial potholes, canoeing, camping, and fishing along the rushing St. Croix River. Visitors can explore natural geological marvels like the Bake Oven and the Bottomless Pit on the Pothole Trail, which features stunning vistas but requires navigating numerous steps.
This is a wonderful place to visit, and it’s only an hour from the Twin Cities. We spent two nights in Taylors Falls near the end of winter, and on the way back home, we stopped by Stillwater since it was along the way. In the summer, it’s probably easy to walk the trails here, but in the winter, it can be a challenge. We’ll definitely come back in the summer to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Stopped by after work, this place was recommended by coworker. I’m visiting from Houston and I love sight seeing. It was not busy during my arrival on a Wednesday around 7pm. Paid 7 dollar for day parking. You can always enter through the Minnesota side also and the parking uses the same tag. Plenty of parking and I notice there’s a couple of park benches along the way. Trails were very nice, easy for folks of all ages to trek. You can explore the rocky area at your own risk, I wouldn’t recommend it for kids unless you feel comfortable. This place is really beautiful and I wished I had more time to explore. Mother Nature is a true artist.

One of my favorite parks. The stairs on the bluffs trail look like they need some love, but otherwise great views, lots of trail options, can ride the paddle boat for a fee (as of my post, it's dog friendly as well at no extra charge). There's canoe/kayak rental and a shuttle bus that will bring you back. Lots of options. Campground is less than a mile down the road from town.

9/29/25 2pm. A nice and interesting State Park to visit along the St Croix River. Typically busy, but not on this Monday is why we went. Barely anyone there and as a result lots of parking. It was unseasonably hot, 85, so we didn't do a lot of walking around like we usually do. The unusual rock formations in the park are a contrast to the rugged jagget rocks and cliffs along the St Croix River.
Plainsman 5 — Google review
Absolutely lovely trails!!! Kept up very nice and is clean! They have very accessible restrooms as well. This is definitely a trail to come visit if you're in Minnesota or Wisconsin. The views are breathtaking and the people who visit the area are also so very kind!
Espen D — Google review
I had never heard of Interstate State park and have lived mostly in Minnesota most of my life. So, for me personally on this Labor Day adventure the enjoyment for me was seeing a part of Minnesota I didn't know exist. I'm overweight and out of shape so was a bit intimidated by a lot of hiking. I did though see the visitor center and go a short way down the potholes trail near the visitor center. I was very impressed by what I saw and there were lots of people there and it was a short but fun enriching experience. It was nice to commune with nature and see these potholes. I'm truly amazed by the glacial potholes. I found inspiration for my fitness goals maybe to hike there someday. I will hopefully return and do a longer hike, camp etc. I really liked it there though and it was beautiful late summer weather. I highly recommend anyone check out this place.
Colette E — Google review
We've been there many times and it's gorgeous there. The paths and trails are clearly marked and the parking is easy. The camping is fun and they have great spaces to set up tents. I highly recommend checking it out. Plus it's near Stillwater where there you can shop or grab some food.
Katie E — Google review
A great park! Interstate State Park actually has two parts. I hiked the Walter Mondale River trail along the St. Croix River to the Wisconsin side and then hiked around the potholes, etc. These pictures are on the MN side. I would suggest hiking shoes so that you can climb up on the ledges and rocks. There is a very nice picnic area and a boat launch where people put in their canoes and kayaks. I did not stay at the campground.

Juneberry Cafe is a charming and cozy spot located in the heart of downtown Taylors Falls. It caters to outdoor enthusiasts, offering a variety of locally sourced, sustainable, and organic takeaway meals and snacks. The menu features hot-pressed sandwiches, bagels, fresh salads, soups, and grab-and-go snacks that change with the seasons. While currently only offering takeout options, there is ample outdoor seating available along the sidewalks.
Don't you dare walk away from this adorable Cafe! I had a turkey pesto Panini that will blow you away! We also tried a coconut infused lemonade it was so good refreshing and not too sweet.
Lindsay — Google review
This place is a convenient stop in Taylors Falls near Interstate State Park. While the atmosphere and service here are pretty good, the food and coffee I tried fell a bit short. In particular, the grilled cheese sandwich and mushroom Swiss were quite bland and overall weren't the best texture either. The seasonal, pumpkin gingerbread latte I had here was alright but quite sweet, so next time I might order half the syrup instead. This said, the soup of the day I got on the side was solid so I’d recommend the chicken gumbo if it's available. I didn't try their baked goods so these might be a better food option. Overall I might pay a visit for a quick pastry breakfast if you're in the area.

We stopped after all our hikes to get ice cream🥰 My daughter got the raspberry with chocolate chips in a cup, and I got blackberry in a sugar cone The ice cream we liked it. But we both agreed it wasn't a loved it moment. They had about 8 choices, and even one was vegan. We did not try that one. The sugar cones were made in-house and other than having a lot of choice with chocolate...... which if you're like me, I am not a big lover of chocolate, so I appreciate when there are choices with none in it.

What a fun meal at the Juneberry Cafe. This place is recommended for vegans and vegetarians they have a entire vegetarian menu as well as many items that are vegan and labeled as such I had the vegan barbecue sandwich which was made with jackfruit and barbecue sauce it was very good and resembled a little bit like a pulled pork sandwich My wife had a grilled cheese which was also very good All in all, the Juneberry is a recommended stop in town.

Our"traditional stop" following the River Walk at Interstate State Park. A lovely treat/reward following our 2.6 mile walk Sebastian Joe's and coffee. You can't go wrong!

Went to lunch today. Ordered 2 x sausage and egg muffins, and a soup (posted as cheese and broccoli on board). Muffins were not warmed through. Soup was changed to a different one after we ordered and we weren't informed. We had to query the soup after the board had been changed. We were reimbursed for the soup. The sausages and eggs were cold and were not prepared fresh.

Cute little place on the main drag. We enjoyed their warm sandwiches. They have fast service, the staff is hospitable and attentive.

The Drive-In Restaurant is a classic spot that has been a local favorite since 1956. It offers picnic table seating and serves up delicious burgers, hot dogs, and homemade root beer floats. The menu includes options like veggie, bison, and turkey burgers as well as gluten-free bun choices. This nostalgic eatery provides high-quality food made with locally sourced ingredients such as beef, vegetables, dairy, and bread from a nearby bakery.
We had the most amazing time at Fonda Rosa animal park, planning 10 of us celebrating our grandsons 3rd birthday. The weather was unpredictable, and we just went for it. Let me tell you that the service was amazing, the food was everything you would expect from a drive in. Great! Great place, people and food. The topping was my husband and I planned to flip the bill for all., while my husband provided his military ID, it was told to us that the lady who was behind us paid our entire bill ! Are you kidding me? Brought tears to my eyes. Our bill was well over 200$ with tip. We were in awe all the way home to Monticello Mn. Thank you so much for this random act of kindness, what a beautiful memory ❤️
Tricia S — Google review
I came in with my husband for dinner and we had great service. The staff was very friendly and the menu was very varied. My two concerns the cheese curds were cheddar and it was not noted on the menu so my husband did not help me eat them which sucked as I didn’t want to eat them all by myself. The other issue was the cost of a pup cup was two dollars. Now two dollars isn’t that bad but when you compare it to multiple other businesses such as scooters coffee where it’s a dollar or Dairy Queen where it’s free or $.50 two dollars for one single pup cup is a lot especially if you have two dogs. My burger was very flavorful very juicy, but I did have tomato and onion added, which were an extra cost but it was about $.25 each which wasn’t bad. Overall, it is a pretty cool place and I would love to come back. I just would not get pup cups for my dogs. It would be better for me to get a full on cone get an empty cup and just take off part of my cone for them.

Busy, but so worth the wait. Got a table quickly. Service was fast and friendly. Food was delicious. Large portions. Wait staff was very friendly. Clean. Has a mini golf on property. Taylor's Falls is a busy town.
Robin P — Google review
The Drive In Restaurant is a classic burger, fries, and malt spot. They have a giant spinning root beer mug that greets you immediately. They have numerous tables outdoors that have a view of a water feature as well as a mini golf course. The service workers are busy and work hard to support you. I was able to taste a bacon cheeseburger and fries, as well as a strawberry malt. I really enjoyed the bacon on the cheeseburger and the fluffy bun. The fries could use some more seasoning to make them more enjoyable.
Andrew A — Google review
I had a root beer float and crinkle fries because I read about how famous their root beer is. The root beer is made in house and it's really really good. Possibly the best root beer I've ever had. The atmosphere was very cute and retro, and there's a counter and some picnic tables you can sit at if you don't want to eat in your car. They were very busy when I was there, and I imagine they're like that all summer.
Heather S — Google review
It took around 15 minutes or so before we got any water after being seated, but everyone was hustling, and when the waitress came for our order, she was very nice and accommodating to our kids. The food is pretty average, but the environment was nice. My wife enjoyed her burger, but my son and I didn't care for the taste of the meat. I can't quite place what it was, seasoning maybe, but I didn't like the flavor. We also had the cheese curds, which were good. The malts were excellent and I enjoyed the homemade rootbeer, I just wished it came in one of those frosty mugs ;) Another perk was if you got a kids meal, you got a 2 for 1 on minigolf! Also, be aware that if you're using a credit card, there is a 4.9% fee.
Michael R — Google review
What a great place! We stopped here after a hike at the Wisconsin interstate Trail. I've never been here and wasn't sure about stopping cause they were sooo busy (there was going to be a parade we didn't know about) and we all worked up a hunger on our hike. Anyway, the service and the food was AWESOME 😎!!! We had to wait for a table (about 10 minutes) and then we were given menus and our order was taken right away. We didn't wait long for our food considering how busy they were, about 15-20 minutes. The food was 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟+ We definitely didn't leave hungry and the price was fitting for the service and food. I'll definitely be going back when I get a chance. Also, we didn't get a chance (due to time) but I saw lots of people enjoying the mini golf they had there. Going to try that when I go back.
Audrey J — Google review
What a fun place! You can either drive in and get carbide service to eat in your vehicle or park on the street and walk in to the restaurant area and sit outdoors. We walked in and checked in with the hostess to get our name on the waitlist. We got there right around 5:00pm on a Sunday. We waited for about 15 minutes to be seated (party of 2 adults). Our order was taken shortly after that. Drinks came within 15 minutes or so with food just minutes later. We enjoyed the atmosphere and music. The food was excellent with juicy burgers and unique root beer. The staff work hard to keep customer service moving quickly.

This is a great relaxing boat tour. From the moment of arrival we were greeted with friendliness. During the boat tour the narrator has some good jokes and bits of historical information. We saw a beautiful bald eagle - which, apparently, is common to see in this area. If you're coming up this way, it's a great boat tour to join. We would do this boat tour again.
L R — Google review
Wonderful boat ride. Great history. So amazing what the glaciers did. Love story about blast island. Saw a couple bald eagles. Would highly recommend. We did the sundown tour.
The B — Google review
Bring a jacket and warm clothes. The tour is great, especially in the fall. The boat is roomy and has a bar. There is a small set of bathrooms, if needed. The staff is good. Parking is a little strange, but not hard to figure out. We recommend this tour! A fun way to see the river side of both Wisc and MN, cliffs and dalles.
Jeremy H — Google review
I had always driven past this place as a kid and always wanted to stop and try it out. Now with my family we finally went it was a great experience. With young kids, I wanted to find something they would love and our two year old LOVED it! There is great seating on the lower deck that is enclosed or on the open upper deck. We went on a Sunday in early June which was a great choice so it was not too busy. There is plenty of space to walk around on the two decks to see all the views so there you’re not out of luck if you don’t get a good seat. A staff remember commentated parts of the trip was great to learn about the interesting landmarks and history of the area. Great experience!
Joel S — Google review
My wife and I are new to the area and were celebrating our anniversary. We felt the price was very reasonable and enjoyed the local history. The crew was engaging and friendly. The ride was quite smoothe. Getting to see the rock formations that named the area was a real highlight.

Julie and the crew were awesome! Such a fun way to spend an afternoon with friends. The river views were fantastic, and I loved learning more about the area’s history. Big bonus that it’s dog-friendly too. Highly recommend!

We did the dueling pianos evening tour. It was so great! Aces & 88’s Dueling Pianos show was funny and so entertaining! Highly recommend doing the musical tour. Having the scenery and fresh river air as the backdrop for the show was awesome!

Pizza restaurant
Schoony's Malt Shop and Pizzeria is a beloved spot in Taylors Falls, offering approximately 30 ice cream flavors and classic root beer floats. Visitors can relax on the sunny patio while enjoying their favorite treats. The town itself has plenty to offer, from small-town Christmas festivals to summer events like Wannigan days. For outdoor enthusiasts, there's an outdoor recreation area nearby, perfect for all seasons.
What a cute, nostalgic place! From the moment you walk in, it takes you back. There are phenomenal ice cream flavors and ice cold cane sugar sodas and other beverages. With pinball machines and a lovely outdoor patio, this place has everything!
Danielle L — Google review
Stopped in for a cool treat on a warm day. The buildings footprint dates back to 1903 and the nostalgia of the decades past is evident in every corner. There are several receivers and record players behind the bar. Some slow jazz played while the pinball machines binged and flapped. A huge selection of ice cream flavors, but I went with the root beer float. My husband got the hot fudge brownie malt. Highly recommend stopping in.
Jennifer H — Google review
We just got ice cream when we came here, and it was generous portions, but the atmosphere was amazing! It's so cute and there are lots of quarter machines and a few pin ball machines and some little rides for 6y/o and younger. I will definitely be bringing my girls here again, mabey grab some actual food too.
Bethany R — Google review
Disappointing. Malts are generously sized but the smallest one is $9.50 + $1.00 credit card charge PLUS tip. That's a lot for a malt. The malt tasted good, but it was grainy from too much malt powder. The outdoor seating area was dirty and completely overgrown. Not enough shade, tables need repaint, outdoor area needs weed whacking and landscaping. Also no bathrooms. I wanted to love this place, and I may come back, but I was disappointed.
Moses B — Google review
We were not impressed with this place. The cheese pizza slices were below average and tasted like they had been sitting there for a while. And although the slices were big, their quality did not justify the price. The malts we had were alright, but they only came in a large size, which was too much. We were also not fans of the decor. I understand it’s meant to feel and look vintage, which is not our style, but if you’re into that, you may enjoy the interior decorations. Finally, the hours of operation differed from what we saw on Google Maps. We could not find a website or phone number to confirm the hours. In my opinion, pretty much every business should have a site and number this day and age that a customer can easily look up.
Peter M — Google review
Favorite place to visit in Taylor's Falls. Beautiful vintage hifi, great pizza and ice cream. A great childhood experience
Joe H — Google review
What a great little place that's very busy. I had a banana milkshake that almost tasted like banana pudding it was so rich. Best one I have had in years. There were only two gentlemen working but they had a system and they got through the line quickly. What a great little find on my adventure.

Taylors Falls Canoe & Kayak Rental offers the opportunity to rent canoes or kayaks for a downstream adventure with shuttle pickup at Osceola or William O Brian State Park. The 3-5 hour trip requires an early start, but it's a great activity for families with tweens and teens. Booking online is convenient, and starting at Interstate State Park makes for an easy launch point.
Such a great experience. The staff is friendly, the route is beautiful, and the shuttle back to your car is so easy. My wife and I do this at least once a year.
Dan S — Google review
Great experience. The kids learned they can do hard things. They were proud of their hard work. We stopped to have a picnic lunch half way. It took us 3 hours to paddle from Interstate Park (Mn side) to Osceola landing as a family of 5. Kids age 7, 11, & 13; with five stops for breaks, switching vessels, etc. we used our two kayaks and rented a canoe to fit three in our party. It was a GREAT experience. I will be back in the Fall to see the pretty colors with a friend for a day trip :)
Christina C — Google review
Love it. Second time canoeing and we spent 2.30 hr on the water. Saw a few osprey. The weather was really nice so we had a lot of other canoes/kayaks along the way. The check in was very quick. They just told us about some spots we may want to stop and sent us to the canoe right away. There was a restroom at the end before we took a shuttle back.
Pornlada L — Google review
The kayaking idea and place is great. The 7miles one way is super pretty with lots of stop options along the way and picturous scenery along the way. You are going with the current, which is amazing and helps a lot. When they say it takes you 2-3hours or depending on conditions longer, they will be right and know what they are talking about. Give yourself the time they suggest and arrive early! The website states “pick up anytime between 10AM-2PM“. You need to keep in mind that this sentence means that you have to be on the water by 2PM. If you are not, they are very very strict about not letting you rent that day and will make you reschedule. KNOW THAT BEFORE. Give yourself time and plan to arrive at 1:45 the latest. Keep in mind that you’ll need to pay for parking and find parking. Overall a great experience but would have liked to know about the strictness of their policies timewise. (Keep in mind too, that there is traffic coming from the highway and you’ll probably take longer than what google maps says).

What a refreshing experience. They made everything so easy. I had to change the day of reservations due to weather and it was seamless and I cannot say enough about how friendly and helpful their staff was. Definitely will use again.

I received a gift certificate for Taylor Falls Cannot & Kayak for my 65th birthday. What a perfect way to spend time with one of my favorite humans .... my 13 yr old granddaughter. Our first outing with you was perfect - from the equipment to your kind and helpful team. We are already planning our next adventure with you.
Anne C — Google review
Our small group had a wonderful afternoon on the St Croix River. Originally, we were going to take the Taylor Falls to Osceola Landing trip to celebrate a birthday, but decided the kids didn't have the stamina to last the 2-3 hours. Instead, we did the local paddle which turned out to be a good choice. We would recommend paddling upstream toward the Hwy 8 bridge first and take advantage of the easier paddle downstream back to the launch area.
Brian F — Google review
Taylors Falls Canoe and Kayak rental was so easy to book on line and check in once there. Ample parking. Great staff at the pick up and drop off point, easy to find. We did the 2-3 hour ride and it took us 2.5 hours to complete ( we are ages 31 & 37) the Taylors Falls to the Osceola landing. This included a short break. The bus came just as we pulled up our canoe. I have also done with this my family of various ages. Love their rentals as they are clean and have a quick/safe ride back to our cars. Gorgeous views!!!

Coffee Talk is a charming coffee shop located in the quaint town of Taylor's Falls. Housed in an old building, it offers a cozy and unique atmosphere for visitors to enjoy locally roasted coffee and delicious treats. The shop provides a variety of coffee choices, teas, and bakery options such as homemade morning buns and vegan granola bars. Guests can also purchase freshly roasted coffee to take home.
Great service and flavors. Ordered a few coffees and some rolls. The gluten free chocolate muffin was good too. After a walk in Interstate it was a place to recharge. We paid for parking across the street at Interstate.
Stephen L — Google review
Good, robust Americano (4 shots of espresso in a large Americano). Cozy indoor and outdoor space, but some weird wall art. Only one food option (a breakfast roll - mix between croissant & cinnamon roll, either cinnamon or raspberry, but good).
Thomas O — Google review
Great coffee spot! I loved watching the barista carefully weigh the beans and time the shot — it set the tone for an excellent espresso experience. And it truly was some of the best espresso I’ve ever had. The shop has a cute, welcoming atmosphere and a wide variety of flavor options, though honestly, the espresso is so good you don’t even need to add anything to it. When we visited, the line was to the door and it took about 25 minutes to get our drinks. There was just one employee at the counter, but they were working as quickly and efficiently as possible. Given the quality of the coffee, the wait felt completely reasonable.
Ellie M — Google review
We stopped at Coffee Talk for a quick drink while it was raining out. We had some hot tea and a muffin and watched the rain 🌧 through the window 🪟. Can you get more cozy and relaxed? Overall, it was a brief but pleasant experience. I want to stop here anytime we are passing through Taylor's Falls.

I really enjoy the atmosphere here. The coffee is very good (maybe excellent), and people are generally cheery. It's a great place to get away from the home office.

Great little coffee shop! Highly recommend stopping here for your morning fix. We tried several different specialty coffees and they were all very good. The flavors are original without being over the top, more of a subtle blend that hints at the idea rather than overpowering it. We loved it and would definitely recommend checking this place out.

Everything about Coffee Talk is splendid! The vibes and service alike are immaculate! My favorite local coffee spot! As an added bonus, it's right near all these cute local shops and by Interstate park! Definitely stop by if you are out on the town :) Also, they support their local artists!

Stopped in for a couple of coffees and they were decent. Not the best turtle we’ve had but it sure beats gas station coffee. The service was good and the old house is pretty cool. There are a lot of older pictures of town history which is nice.

The store also features completed pieces and DIY kits for creating unique bracelets. Additionally, the shop offers a basement antique section with various items to explore. Visitors can expect friendly staff, a great selection of crystals and energy clearing tools, as well as eye-opening fossils and local artists' jewelry.
I've shopped here for many jewelry and accessory projects, they often have everything I need. There's so many options here, and the employees are easy to talk to when you have questions. Especially Amber, she's always curious and ready to help. This shop holds a special place in my heart.

I stopped in on my way back from Wisconsin and wasn’t planning on buying anything but I did and can’t wait to come back! The person who was working was so kind and helpful, I wish there was a online store because I would love to only buy from them with how they treated me and everyone else that was there that day!! Definitely coming back

If you love crystals, charms, beads, and a little unexpected magic, this is your place! ✨ Every corner is an adventure, from sparkling shelves to the basement “year-round garage sale” full of treasures you didn’t even know you were looking for. The employees are wonderfully welcoming, and the energy in the store just makes you feel lighter, brighter, and a little enchanted. You never know what tiny spark of joy—or perfect bead—you’ll stumble upon! 🌟🔮

929/25 1:20pm. My wife's favorite place to look around in and buy a couple things. We drove to Taylor Falls just to primarily go there. So much merchandise in there and rocks and jewelry craft items a little bit of Indian stuff and it is completely packed. Downstairs is like a garage sale type atmosphere and I don't know how that's put together but there's old fishing lures for sale, tools, Antiques and just a wide variety of products to look at or purchase. It's not really a place for misbehaving children as there's so much in there and limited space to get around because of that. Parking is on the street or across the street there's a park and ride that you don't have to pay to park in and easy walking distance to the downtown area businesses.

Tangled Up In Blue Restaurant is a charming and inviting spot located in the small town of Taylors Falls. Chef Jeff Halverson's culinary expertise shines through in the diverse menu featuring seasonal seafood, hand-selected beef fillets, and delectable desserts. The restaurant is known for its generous portions and lively atmosphere, thanks to Kathleen Halverson's warm hospitality.
We we're blown away with the deliciousness! Kathleen and Jassy we're on point with their attentive, cheerful and caring service. Tangled Up and Blue is not pretentious, (I appreciated our glittery blue table and the sparkly frames). Chef Jeff's creations speak for themselves! We're already planning to go back!

We had such a great time at Tangled Up In Blue. Right from the start, the service made us feel so welcome, super friendly and personal, like we were regulars even though it was our first time. The chef had some daily specials with little personal touches, which made choosing what to eat even more fun. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, and the portions were large, definitely a place where you leave full and happy. The atmosphere was eclectic in the best way: warm, welcoming, and filled with character. You can tell a lot of thought went into making it a place where people feel at home. Even the bathroom impressed us, stocked with thoughtful touches like flossers, pads, and gum — a small detail that shows just how much care goes into every part of the guest experience here.

Enjoyed a delightful evening here with the most delicious food! “Eclectic” describes the place perfectly! Such a great dining experience, we can’t wait to go back and try another dish. Everything sounds so good, it was hard to decide what to order. We had the crab cakes, lobster bisque, beef Wellington and pork chops. Everything was so delicious, would recommend everything we ordered! Make sure to have reservations.

This culinary gifted quaint little restaurant in Taylor Falls is worth the trip. Reservations are definitely required. They’re only open two days a week. The food is a gift to your mouth. The service is perfect and the atmosphere is quaint and warm.

Finally went here to try the Beef Wellington and it DID NOT disappoint myself or my wife. Ordered some Risotto on the side and that was just as delicious! Matter of fact..... EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. We both had to almost be wheeled out, we were so stuffed!!! Reservations are definitely a good idea.
Curt W — Google review
This restaurant blew our expectations out of the water. It was one of the best meals we have ever had. We were a little nervous about the prices, as some dishes including the beef Wellington were over $50, but when we got the dishes we immediately said it was worth every penny. The atmosphere was also very fun with neat art pieces and displays. Reservations are a good idea as seating is limited.
Sarah M — Google review
Cannot stress enough how wonderful the food was! My wife and I shared the crab cakes, each got lobster bisque, then shared the beef Wellington. Absolutely phenomenal. I don't know the chefs story, but I was floored with the flavors, textures, and little details in each of the items. HIGHLY recommend.

Very interesting place with great service and food. 7 of us dined for a Mothers Day dinner the week after the actual Mothers Day and it was a good experience. The halibut was a nice big cut and perfectly cooked, mom liked her salmon. Kids enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms and Alfredo pasta. Beef Wellington was perfectly cooked as well. Highly recommend.

Folsom House, located in the historic Angel Hill District, is a restored 1850s home that offers visitors a glimpse into the lumber era. The house was once owned by W.H.C. Folsom, a prominent figure in the timber business and state senator. Visitors can take a tour of the house for a fee and learn about its rich history from knowledgeable guides.
Took this tour last week. You just cannot go wrong taking this 60-minute tour! Learn all about what its like for some poor hard-working kid growing up to be a rich and influential man, all within the 1800's. Makes you want to go get his autobiography. Can't want for the movie to come out. Best part was how a farmer whose land was flooded by dam builders blew it up with dynamite! That caused a HUGE log jam. Serves them right! Farmer should get compensated. The one thing I would change which I can't fault the tour guide was how they characterized our hero Mr Folson in bravely fighting Dakota Indians in 1962. Dakota were facing starvation and displacement by government so they attacked ppl around them. Fighting starving ppl is not a brave thing to do. Tour guide should speak about the event as unfortunate for everyone. That's all. ALWAYS LEARN HISTORY! so you don't repeat the same mistakes, plus you learn how others do things the right way so you can repeat those same successes. The house is wheelchair accessible to get inside but the second-floor part of tour would be off limits.

This was a huge surprise, unplanned and delightful.. The house was built in the 1850's and it remains in great shape today.. The William Folsom story is really intesting.. He had quite a life.. Our visit to the House museum was the highlight of our day trip to Taylor's Falls.. a wonderful and unexpected surprise I recommend the tour to all

River Alley Shoppes in Taylors Falls, MN is a must-visit for antique and flea market enthusiasts. While the exterior may seem pricey, the inside offers a delightful mix of new and antique items. The shop is praised for its friendly staff, reasonable prices, and willingness to offer consignment deals. Visitors love the ever-changing inventory and beautifully staged displays. Customers also appreciate the commitment to customer satisfaction, as demonstrated by their willingness to accommodate special requests.
The was a unique store my mom saw & wanted to stop at. I don’t like antiques & thought that was all they had. The prices outside were extremely expensive and I felt way over priced. I can buy the exact items for 1/2 the price in the town I live in. However, the inside wasn’t at all what I expected. It had adorable new and antique items inside. There was so much to see. We wandered around for over half an hour and I likely only saw a fraction of the items. There is that much stuff. It’s very organized, but a table will have 15-25 different items on it. So much to see. There is something for everyone. The items inside are priced MUCH better than those outdoors. Don’t let the initial prices scare you off, lots better inside. I will definitely be back. I bought three things, 2 as gifts. The recipients loved what they received. So unique.
Lisa G — Google review
Inside, this place is absolutely packed with all kinds of treasures. You’ll find baseball cards, Coca-Cola memorabilia, Tonka trucks, clothing, and plenty of vintage odds and ends. There’s a lot to look at, and it’s fun to browse. That said, the prices are marked more for profit than for bargain hunting. We didn’t find anything that felt like a great deal for resale, but to be fair, I did overhear staff negotiating with another customer, so it’s worth asking. What really disappointed me was the outdoor items. There were Coca-Cola chairs with waterlogged cushions and wagons left outside filled with water and rusting. For collectibles, that kind of carelessness makes them lose value fast, which was hard to see. Overall, it’s still a neat stop if you like digging through antiques and memorabilia, and if you talk with the owner, you might be able to work out better prices. But don’t expect bargain-bin deals here.
Shelley I — Google review
I love coming to this place during the holiday seasons. I found many Christmas gifts for people here. They have the coolest most unique stuff. I love how they have the items set up for display like if it was actually in their own living room. Each section has its aesthetic. You can tell which area you want to be in and that you will find what you like in that area. I think it’s very awesome when shop owners do that. It makes browsing fun and not chaotic. To top it off the owners are super nice and funny people! Great store! If you’re looking for a good shop that is actually organized and set up, come here.

Lots of hiking and quite a few attractions here. High views from the bluffs. Fun on the Dalles of the St Croix plus the Lake Amphitheater and beach on the lake o the dalles, and a trail around the lake. Lots of beautiful sights here and especially if you’re willing to hike or explore a bit. There’s a hidden beach by the pet picnic area near the bottoms

Our camping group, Camping in Uranus had a road trip to Montana from Indiana. This was our first stop. Nice place to camp. Bathrooms were decently clean. Our site was a little small but I’m sure we got one of the last few so we made it work. The hiking trails are pretty cool. I liked the pothole trail. The lookout is amazing. The potholes are interesting at least. They have a ferry on the other side I would like to try out sometime. Enjoyed the little time I spent here. I would come back again.

This is one of the most beautiful parks we've stayed at. Our site was fairly private with a beautiful view. No water hookups at the site, so we had to fill our fresh water tank, but that was a rookie mistake on our part. They have a fill station, so it wasn't a big deal. We really enjoyed our time, and will definitely camp here again.

Probably top 3 prettiest WI state parks that we have visited. Beautiful views of the river and gorge from multiple trails. Walking through the rock formations was fun for us and the dog. Loved it!

We had a great experience camping at interstate park. We had an electric site for our travel trailer. Office was extremely friendly. Water, showers and toilet was off due to late in season.but the outhouse were clean and stocked. Our site was exceptional with a slite grade to it. Under tree cover. Plenty wide and deep. Our son is disables and we went on a loop trail that was difficult for a small scooter. But really that's why we went... We had more fun getting unstuck from roots rocks and soft soil. Our scooter wasn't designed for what we were doing! Lol we even got stuck in some wet leaves. Bottom line the vews were extraordinary! Accomodations excellent including the fire pits being placed in great location! Will be back... With a more appropriate scooter. Thank you to the staff! You guys helped us out immensely with all the questions we had!

We came here during labor day weekend and what a beautiful place to hike, the terrain was rough at times, but we took it as a challenge, hiked both ways. We stoped Taylor falls boat launch for pizza, to refuel us for the hike back. We enjoyed our stay there. Anyone looking for a great place to relax and take in a beautiful waterfall, go to Willow River state park in Wisconsin where you’ll find an amazing willow Falls . The steep path leading to it is worth the jaunt.

Great Time! I hiked over from the Minnesota side of Interstate State Park. The River trail meets up where the Glacier Potholes are. I loved scrambling on the rocks and the views of the St. Croix River. You can take the River Trail across the bridge to the Minnesota side if you want to launch a kayak or a canoe. There is more hiking available in the Dalles of St. Croix. I did not do that hike but it looked amazing so I will have to try it next time I am in the area.

Put this one on your list of must do, it’s a good one. A very Par friendly course. No need to bend over to pick your ball out of the hole either, they have the pull-out flags here as well as nice water features. Enjoy…
Jeff B — Google review
So I lost to the wifey, so of course we had to play again! Mostly well done par 50 mini golf course. The water falls/features are a nice addition - soothing sounds for my golf nerves. The course is showing some signs of aging - a few holes in need of repair. Holes 4 & 5 could be better marked - we directed a few groups the other direction, one group after they already started hole #6. For the time of year and being in the trees we figured leaves are to be expected - there were some. Got the better of my wife the second round - but only by one!
Joe G — Google review
A well-run operation. We were a party of 2 adults. We got there around 11:15 am on a Sunday. It wasn't too busy at all and it took us just over an hour to get through all 18 holes. We enjoyed the water features. Be aware that the course may have stray leaves/woodchips debris, so if you are serious about mini golf, that may bother you. We had fun!
Timotheus K — Google review
Positioned next to The Drive In Restaurant in beautifullly scenic Taylors Falls, this course is located in a wonderful spot. Our group did encounter a number of flaws with the course design, such as multiple trap spots that are simply no fun at all. Maintenance of the course also seemed a little outdated, with worn materials in too many spots to overlook. And on the day we played, the course was absolutely littered with leaves. Despite all these issues, our group all had fun. One of us managed a quite brilliant under par round thanks to their consistent putting, while another in our group scored a spectacular three hole-in-ones during their round. I had a terrible time of things, but the setting, and the fact we did have players who - mostly - navigated the issues we found, just about gets me to four stars.
Lee S — Google review
Fun course to play with different levels of difficulty along the way. It was pretty busy when we went but we were able to still get through the course in a timely manner and had a fun time. Definitely a fun spot for the entire family!
Justin T — Google review
It was fun BUT each hole could use A LOT of TLC. It was hard to find a flat surface to even putt from.
Sara O — Google review
Course was filthy, you could take 2 hours and make the course look “decent” flag poles don’t stay in the hole, have to leave the walking paths cuz of over hanging branches, and weeds everywhere. A leaf blower at the start of the day would go a long ways. Not a fan.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an awesome experience at the go-carts thanks to John! He went above and beyond, especially with our son who is vision impaired—he was kind, attentive, and made sure our son felt safe and included. John was also great at interacting with everyone in line and showed so much patience with all the kids, keeping things fun and organized. It was clear he was running the show on his own, as his coworker sat under the umbrella the entire time just waving the checkered flag. Despite the lack of help, John never missed a beat. He truly deserves recognition for his dedication and great attitude. Thank you, John!

What a great way to spend a 96° day!!!! Such a great deal on the super fun pass where you can do everything. The ONLY downside is the lines for the “dry rides”… but that’s to be expected. This was our first trip up here after stumbling upon it from a google search. It was highly educational as we learned so much about how to maximize your day, excited to head up again knowing what we know now. I originally assumed it would be like a “Valleyfair” or something that inside the gates, you can’t bring anything with ya. Polar opposite as you can set up a camp right outside the water park, in a nice shady area with chairs, coolers, grills… everything you’d need for a family get together. The place we found was really nice and all our neighbors were friendly! It was like a giant tailgate for water parks. The waters felt great, the rides were fun, and the kids can’t wait to go back. The staff were all very friendly and were able to answer questions as they arose. Thank you all for such a great day!

Fun place, has wet rides and dry rides. You have to buy a wrist band. You can either buy just for the dry or wet rides, or have it for both. About $20 for choosing wet/dry or $40 for both. Love the alpine slide, fun to ride little carts down a big winding trail. Get to ride ski lift up which is relaxing. Has 4 big water slides, 3 of them have to use an intertube, and the other just your body. Getting to each waterside there's a mini hike uphill and some stairs. Good exercise! Warning (black hole water slide) - hurts a little on the back and the water pressure when getting to the bottom also can hurt a little.) They do have a kitty pool for kids to play, which is separate from the water slides. Also the free fall! They have 2 Levels. You must be able to land properly and pass in order to go to the top level. No tricks or flips just jumping off. Go carts are fun, small course but it's a fun time for a couple hours. Recommend a try!

We were visiting the area from Boston with our 4 kids and looked up things to keep them occupied for a day. No go karts for kids in the northeast due to strict safety rules so we were thrilled to find this place. The kids loved the go karts and the alpine slide. We were there for about 4 hours and the kids never got bored. Couple of the alpine sleds need to be replaced though! Would definitely recommend this place for families, the price was very reasonable!

Little spendy. We paid for two tickets (dry pass) all day mind you! $50 total. Included race track mini cars, and alpine slide. My partner was just under the height 46" so we rode together but it worked out we did have a blast!
Paul H — Google review
Was a very fun place to spend the day! They had dry rides and water rides as well as a water park area. Very kid friendly, wheelchair & stroller friendly! Kinda went in thinking we’d leave after a couple hours- ended up staying the entire time!
Makayla L — Google review
Beautiful area! I just wish they had more family friendly prices. $12 per person on the Alpine coaster per single ride is a little ridiculous! We spent 30 minutes in line just waiting to get to the coaster, the kids ended up enjoying their one ride down but being we only live an hour away I guess the season pass is a better way to go.

Small park, but we'll designed. Lines moved at a decent pace with no super long waiting. Kids, being g kids, we're a bit rough at times, and the staff wasn't always aware, but when they were they handled situations as they arose. Would definitely come back.

Wild Mountain Winery is a hidden treasure with a relaxed and charming atmosphere. The personnel are extremely amiable, and the wine is exceptional. It's definitely worthwhile to return for a taste of their wood-fired pizza. Despite the scenic drive from Stillwater, it feels like stepping into someone's welcoming home. Following the left side of the driveway will lead you to their delightful tasting room.
We had a late May afternoon at Wild Mountain Winery 🍷. I really like the style of this place. It's very rustic and inviting. You can actually camp right in the vineyards, which looks like fun. We did wine tasting and left with a couple of bottles. We didn't have a ton of time, and it would have been nice to stay longer. I recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Super cute place. Off doing a tour of wineries and found this place. A hidden gem with a campground. The red wine flight was delicious. They have Uncommon Loon for the beer drinkers in your group.
Terri N — Google review
We enjoyed a relaxing afternoon here, with beautiful Fall colors, unfortunately it started to rain and got chilly quick, so we didn't have the opportunity to venture through the vineyard. For something new, I purchased a wine tasting package for two, through Groupon. Really glad I did. We enjoyed sitting near the wood stove, sampling our flights of wine, along with a wedge of cheese and crackers. After that we had the opportunity to get a glass of wine, a canned ale, or a hard cider. They had a couple types of beer on tap as well. They usually offer three types of hard cider, but only had one available. We chose the cider that was available and went out on the deck to enjoy the music. I can't remember the gentleman's name, but if you check the winery schedule, it was the last Saturday of the season to have music. The music was quite nice, and appropriate for the location. If you're looking for a place to eat, the winery is very limited. Be sure to check their website.

My wife and I just spent a weekend here. This is a family run business by some very hard working people. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Mark and Jenni were terrific hostesses. We found many wines that we enjoyed. The music was great, the camping was relaxing. We are already trying to plan a trip back. Easy to give five stars, highly recommend!

Groupon deal with bottle of wine and pizza was nice, plus live music on a Saturday night and availability on memorial Day weekend was hard to beat. Would go again!

Nice setting had a talented father/daughter duo on guitar and singing. Very laid back with super friendly staff. Decided to have one of their brick fired pizzas and it was super. The choices of wine in their tasting are diverse and tended to sweeter varieties. Was a very enjoyable afternoon.

I've been here twice and outstanding staff and area i highly recommend it they have yurts in the vineyard area and secluded campsites in the woods and I camp alot these sites are awesome!! The various wines all wonderful give this place a try

Nice winery with some great old vines. The winery is right next to their home and I really enjoyed their sweet white Lacrescent wines despite being a red wine fan. Would be nicer in the spring/summer with the doors open and pizza oven going. Decent value at $8 for 6, 1 ounce samples. Friendly staff.

I took my son Lukas and met up with some friends at Wild Chutes Snow Tubing this last winter. So fun! It was a beautiful day and we all had a great time! They provided the marshmallows, chocolate and crackers for smores which we roasted over the toasty fire, taking a little break from Snow tubing. I definitely would recommend this place for Families of all ages. J and L Bluelegorobot

First things first, $27 feels too expensive for the activity offered. Additionally, there was no mention of a pet policy anywhere—no signs, no information while purchasing tickets, and no one said anything when I was holding my pet. However, after buying the tickets and spending some time there, I was told that pets were not allowed, forcing me to leave. The experience felt unwelcoming, and to be honest, the tubing itself wasn’t great for the price. Definitely not worth it.

Too fast for small children, maybe. Good family fun, but pretty intense. We didn't have any wipe outs, but there were a close call or two. HELMETS recommended! One wrong move and a fun day could easily become a tragic day... Especially for kids, helmet highly recommended. A bike helmet would work. They rent helmets for $8

My three kids, 14, 8, and 6, had a good time. I loved that they have scheduled tubing times to keep the numbers under control. They have an outdoor fire pit to warm up between runs. The chalet was packed with people - no masks except a worker every now and then but that wasn't consistent. The lines for concessions were long and their coffee machine was broken. My daughter lost a glove but they had gloves for sale. Overall a good experience
Terrell A — Google review
The staff and facility is wonderful and they have great tubes for their awesome chutes. The stand up lift is tow rope free and the lines flow smoothly. Plus it's really affordable. I used a speedometer app on my phone, my fastest speed this day was 34 mph!

Such a fun experience! We did the night time snow tubing and had a blast. Excellent taste in music and cool lights.
Autumn V — Google review
Great place for a 10 year old birthday party. We arrived at open(11am) and I think the kids would have stayed until close. I do feel the ice cream birthday cake was a little unusual because we were cold but tasted good. I was cold out but the warming barn was great. They don’t heat it up to high so everyone attending should dress warm with jackets and extra layers under pants. The magic carpet makes it easy to get up the large hill but was very slow. Smaller unskilled kids (7 year olds) struggled to stay on the carpet and balance on the conveyer. You will need to hold your tube and stay standing on the conveyer the entire ride. Go on a day with little to no wind for your best comfort but not necessary. If you can go down the hill with 6 people it’s rather exiting. This is a fast ride probably close to 40mph. Fun fun fun. Staff is friendly.

Easy to find and get onto the hill. Stand up conveyor belt for getting to the top of the hill. 8 runs. Friendly staff.
